450 cow Dairy farm located in Central Hawkes Bay Laid back easy going Farmer and his partner looking for extra help throughout the year. The type of help depends on the season but generally a little help milking the cows once a day, cutting wood, bit of gardening and if its springtime the calves are a lot of fun. Just general help on the farm or around the house is always greatly appreciated. We are happy to pay if there is more work to be done in addition to on farm Accommodation. We really enjoy having foreigners to stay and work for us and its important everyone is happy and its a great working environment, including our lovely cows.

Kia Ora and hi Help-x helpers, We're Chris and Meri. We live on a little farm with some beautiful rural views, native birds & bush and a beautiful little stream that runs through the property where we're gradually restoring the natural environment protecting native habitat, birds and animals. We're interested in wildlife, in all of nature generally, particularly keen on Australasian birds (Australian, NZ and South Pacific Islands) and we're involved from time to time with bird conservation and ornithological projects. We run a little flock of South Suffolk Sheep, we have free Range Brown Shaver Chickens, some Khaki Campbell Ducks (perfect eggs for baking!), a pair of rare Cape Barren Geese, we have a few Bee hives and we also have a little fruit tree Orchard etc. We enjoy cooking and sharing good food (and favourite recipes) with others and your stay wouldn't be complete without experiencing a few of Meri's traditional yummy Indonesian styled dishes. We share making meals together...

Welcome! Your choice: You can exchange two hours help/day for the room only and provide your own food, or we can provide meals for you, and you help us for four hours/day. Our home is surrounded by nature and some of Nelson's best mountain biking and walking tracks. We are two friendly people, some chickens and a cat. Our home is in easy walking distance of Nelson city centre, but it is quiet and private. It's like being in the country. There's a good mix of things to do: Looking after garden and trees, house and each other, making music, preserving fruit, generally enjoying life. We can talk to you in English, French or German. We like to share meals with helpers. We love to feed you (and love being cooked for by you, too!). If you want to teach us a song from your country, that would make us happy. The Most Important thing we hope for in a Helper is that they want to enjoy their stay with us, are open to make contact and to learn. We - meaning us two, Ian and Eva - have had m...

Hi, my name is Marianne. I live on a classic New Zealand "tree quarter acre section" on a north facing (all day sun) hobbit hill, looking down to Oamaru and from my kitchen window or climbing up the jungle hill behind the cottage, you can see the sea and watch the sunrise. A 10 minute stroll down Eden Street gets you either to the CBD or to the shoreline. After five years of absence house and gardens have been badly damaged physically and spiritually. In the effort to restore the above, I re-discovered my senses of smell, taste, touch and hearing being fully present again, which, applied to the restoration task at hand leads to all sorts of quirky manifestations of visible and touchable things. In my role as your host, I am fully committed to provide three basic meals per day, to be fully there when our agreed upon four hours of work start and to offer you some nice and clean room to stay. With my double bed guest room created to a comfortable Kiwi standard and a renovated lounge fit ...

We love meeting new travellers and have been the first stop for many helpers and have enjoyed helping them plan their travels in the north. At the moment it is most convenient to have people stay a week and Mon to Fri suits us best but we can also do longer if that suits also. We have 10 acres and sometimes the accommodation can be a caravan, a cabin or the airbnb that we are in depending on what is happening at the time. Here is the link for our airbnb which we live in when it is not booked - https://www.airbnb.co.nz/rooms/747337338546194095?guests=1&adults=1&s=67&unique_share_id=be29e38f-bf27-48a5-819f-cceaa39c4f69. We often have paid guests in the weekends so your accom could be the cabin or caravan on a site above the airbnb site. Recently we have been having our helpx stay in the caravan which is very nice too and on occasion the helpers have worked a full day and then had a full day off when we have guests in the airbnb. Our helpers work for 4 hours of work a day in exchange...

We are looking for one person or maybe two practical people who can just potter about sorting out some jobs. I want to plant, weed, mulch tidy, build planter, landscape, build 'outdoor lounge', move lime. Soil. Plenty of garden jobs and always clearing and de-cluttering. Pruning. We are home most of the time and just go about doing general jobs on our farm & garden. Would you like to come and join us for a bit? We aim to keep you relaxed, well fed and always included with family activities. It is beautiful here and its started to warm up so we need to get out with some help. Our jobs are totally seasonal and changes from month to month, but focus is on improving the garden, outdoor seating areas, making the most of our beautiful outside. We are a working farm with some really fun lifestyle hobbies. We have a pig, chickens, super friendly dog, cat and a pet peacock. We have a beautiful home set on a hill with a panoramic outlook of our 64 Acre Farm. We live in the beautiful well known...

Hi, welcome to St Albans! You will be sharing the house with 2-3 other guests as well as your host. We have a current project of spring cleaning the house, lots of decluttering packing, housecleaning and tidying, and some gardening. We expect 2 hours help per day for accommodation only. If helpers have painting or building skills, it's a real bonus. Shops, cafes, Hagley Park and city centre are all nearby. Good free parking on the street outside the house. The kitchen is available for your use, just bring your own food. Look forward to welcoming you. Vegans and vegetarians extra welcome 🤔 We often have a pot-luck dinner together in the evenings, hope you will join in :-) And if it's cool and rainy, enjoy the wood fire. No smoking, thank you!

Kia ora! Available 12th April - 19th April - message asap ;-)) My home is in the middle of beautiful Honeymoon Valley, surrounded by native bush, birds and organic gardens (no shops etc.). We built our earth house with local clay and roof gardens. This place is very private; a lifestyle block to enjoy nature and quiet living, 330 km North of Auckland, 20 min from Taipa Beach. The subtropical Far North of Aotearoa/New Zealand has important historic sights. I am also part of the Honeymoon Valley landcare group (honeymoonvalleylandcare.org.nz). We protect native forest, birds, lizards and insects by trapping predators and eradicating invasive weeds. You can help with organic gardening, landscaping: mowing, brush-cutting, earth work; firewood, compost-making, renovating (fixing things, basic carpentry, painting), sewing, cleaning, general maintenance. I have chickens; make bread; home-brew beer; organic apple cider vinegar, sauerkraut (when in season), preserve fruit, collect seeds, an...

Kia Ora to you Please come stay so you can get to know our lovely city and inner city neighbourhood. I really appreciate having people to stay from Helpx to help with some of the jobs of maintaining an old wooden villa and garden. The garden is a permaculture one but still requries work. There is always weeding, composting and general garden tidying to be done. My home is in Central Auckland in a funky part of town - Grey Lynn. Close to cafes, bars and the Auckland Zoo.The bus route is excellent. I have bikes you can use to get around. You will be inside the house and have your own room. There is space for two people in the room. I run Air BnB in the other rooms so there will be other guests in the house. They are mostly stay for around a month. Many are Working Holiday Visa people looking to establish themselves in New Zealand. I like to eat together when it suits everyone. Sometimes I will have friends over to visit and we all cook and eat together - it's a busy social house...

We prefer helpers looking for longer stays and we are looking for someone from mid to end of April. We want our helper to have a great experience and offer us approx 3-4 hrs help in the mornings 5 days of the week. If you are also looking for part-time paid work, we can work around your work hours. There is usually plenty of local part-time work nearby in Kerikeri either fruit picking and packing, laundry services or in cafes, restaurants and hotels. Our house is located on a semi-rural lifestyle property 20 minutes walk, or 3 minutes drive from the Kerikeri township, and an easy walk to nearby markets and cafes. We can collect you from the local bus stop, but a car is useful to see many attractions during your free time. We need help mostly gardening; weeding and digging garden beds, and sometimes painting and other odd jobs. If weather is not good for outside work we may ask for help in the house cleaning. We do not expect experience but you must be able to understand and foll...

Available to host 8th to 26th April ! Looking if possible for people handy with power tools or with carpentry experience, or willing to give it a shot. Our property is situated in the beautiful town of Little River. I was myself a wwoofer here ten years ago! Our family is made of Sébastien, Marine, Maëlys (4 y.o) and Lynx (1 y o). Some tasks may require some strength, while others a keen artistic eye, put your thinking hat on, there are projects that can suits everyone! However in early 2024 we are prioritizing people handy with tools, with carpentry experience or chainsaw experience, to finish a few projects before winter! We expect self motivation and enthusiasm in the tasks but also general help with meals preparation, clearing the table after meals and also looking after the accommodation by keeping it clean and tidy for the next people. Providing food doesn't mean the host does everything! We like to cook together as it's a great time to get to know you and chat.

I live in a spacious 3-bedroom (plus study) home near the beach, with decks (sometimes with partner Te Kenehi). It has a large garden with trees, a lawn & vege garden, and it is very near to QEII park or reserve and the coast with great views of Kapiti Island. There are shops within an 8 min walk. Hope you like music, biking and swimming! Two and a half hours of help per nights accommodation, or three hours with food included. Tasks needing doing are gardening, preparing and painting of deck and possibly roof. I'm a free-lance writer/researcher (Maori/European)and would be happy to share some insights. :-)

Our farm has a 2000sqm glasshouse that has a variety of strawberries, chillis and peppers that are grown using organic sprays and utilising predators under the IPM programme. We offer a farm stay with great views and good conversation. We chopped down a pine forest and replanted with Manuka about 4 years ago so its starting to look really great, and more native birds are about. Also we are developing a small reserve that needs assistance with tracks and tree management. Some stock work is all so on offer but we will work with you all the time as its safer and more fun. cheers Geoff and Declan

Come experience the stunning views of Te Mata overlooking Whangarei Harbour and Bream Bay. We are looking for helpX volunteers for one or more weeks in exchange for accommodation in a spacious room in the main house, 3 delicious meals a day, and, of course, a great time. Alcohol is available at cost. If we click, long-term stays (until late May 2024) are preferred, just like several of our previous helpers who stayed with us for more than five months! The vacancy is available now. Our 12-hectare lifestyle block is located 20 minutes/km south of Whangarei (15 minutes by car to Bream Bay sandy beaches). It's an oasis of 50% native bush, rest paddocks and subtropical orchards: 60% bananas and a canopy of schizolobium, cherimoyas, papayas, mango, feijoa, and temperate fruits. Not to forget the SACRED GROVE where we worship our devoted 🕉️Religion here: Rave till sunrise PLUR Congregations🥳. If you're arriving by public transport, we can arrange a pickup in Whangarei. However, having you...

Availability from Tuesday 2nd April. We are looking for 1 person or a couple to help with the construction of a house. Knowledge in carpentry would be a bonus. We live in West Auckland, only 30 km from Auckland airport, so perfect for your arrival in NZ to get over your jetlag and organise your admin papers, buy a van etc. or on your departure, giving you time to sell your car/van and still have a roof over your head. The deal is 4 hours per day per person. We work in the mornings and let you explore the area in the afternoons. We provide coffee/tea bread butter and jam for breakfast, sandwiches or leftovers for lunch and full dinner around the table, accommodation + Wifi, access to gym and swimming pool, free parking. We don't work in the weekend and you organise (buy and cook) your own food then. You need to have your own transport to go and visit the nearby beaches, the bush and the waterfalls or be keen on hitchhiking. We have plenty of parking space for a car or campervan...

We are a family of 4 on a sheep and beef farm. We are friendly people who enjoy meeting new people. We'd love some help on the farm, around the home and in the garden. Experience in maintenance and a willing and able attitude will be an advantage. It is essential that you have travel insurance. Having your own vehicle would be an advantage. For 4-6 hours work a day, 4 days for a week you will get breakfast 7 days, lunch and dinner any days of the week you work. The accommodation is self contained with a spacious double bedroom, kitchen, toilet and shower, see photos below. We're situated in beautiful Eastern Southland among rolling green hills and we live beside an excellent fishing river, rods and gear available for use. It is 20 minutes drive to Gore, 2 hours to Dunedin or Queenstown and 1 hour 10mins to Invercargill. We're really looking forward to hearing from you. Chris, Mairead and kids.

Hello from our cozy little trio! It’s just me, my amazing girlfriend, and our energetic dog here, sharing a space that feels like a slice of paradise to us. We’ve filled it with love, laughter, and lots of memories, but now we find ourselves needing a bit of assistance to spruce it up and keep it feeling like the haven it is. We’re on the lookout for a friendly soul who’s up for helping us with some home and garden tasks. Think of it as a bit of painting here and a touch of gardening there—nothing too strenuous, just enough to add some extra sparkle to our surroundings. Whether it's refreshing the walls with a new color or helping our garden bloom, we're eager for an extra pair of hands to bring our vision to life. And then there’s our dog, the heart of our home, who’s always ready for an adventure. If you enjoy the great outdoors and have a soft spot for furry friends, you’d fit right in, especially when it comes to helping our dog’s daily explorations and playtime. We're all about...

Hi I'm Bryan, I and a friend of mine, Mike own a large backpackers lodge in Erua, Tongariro national park, close to National park village, Mt Ruapehu, Ohakune and the Tongariro Crossing. During winter, this is the place to be if you love the snow and ski lifestyle ! we really want some reliable helpers, but its important to note, this is a host less lodge, that means no staff here. we do everything remotely as much as we can. :) We aren't asking a lot, but will help you as much as we can also. One of us lives in Auckland and comes to the lodge often, so we maybe able to help transport you down here from Auckland also. we ask for 2.5 hours a day unsupervised, no food is supplied for this amount of hours. Would like you to commit to a minimum of 2 weeks stay Pretty easy work, clean rooms for guests, laundry, bathrooms. The most important thing is rooms are ready when guests arrive. You'll be given a suitable room, and full access to all the lodge facilities Some days you may h...

Hi we need someone from Sept 24 onwards We are a family of 4 - myself and my hubby and our two young daughters. We need daily help with housekeeping, cleaning and some gardening (with me or my hubby so no gardening experience needed). Generally after a girl helper as our kids are more comfortable with that. Someone who is able to muck in with whatever we need and likes cleaning!! We offer accommodation in our modern German caravan, with heating, wifi, meals (brekkie lunch items in caravan) and dinner is whatever we have as a family that evening. So sorry we generally can’t cater for special food requirements. The caravan has a microwave toaster kettle but you can’t cook in it. The picture is not the exact caravan but the type we have. This is in exchange for 4 hours help daily. Sometimes less depending on the day or your circumstances and usually always mornings. Bathroom and shower and toilet is in the main house. We usually offer a trial of say 2 weeks. If it works out (or...

** Vacancy from Mid December Hello! We are a family of four, and enjoy an outdoorsie life on our orchard. Rolf and I have a lovely 1 year old daughter Georgie, and a sweet 3 year old dog Barley. Together we run our avocado orchard. We have a large veggie garden, greenhouse and 14ha property. We are seeking help with tending the orchard, trees, land and garden. We have a warm and cosy cabin for helpers to stay in. It is private, ample parking and has a deck. This cabin is a short walk the main building - our shared space. Helpers have full use of all facilities (WiFi included). Happy to share the cooking, it would be so nice to try some new dishes! There is internet at the house, and we have excellent cell phone coverage. The guest cabin has a solar powered light, and a 2x USB chargers. There is a queen bed, so as long as two people don't mind sharing then it's suitable for two. Space for storing clothes and belongings as well. Lovely outlook onto wide open views. Keen for helpers...

The work in the house involves some cooking, cleaning, walking the dogs, washing the small one etc. The work with the horses will include daily feeding and care, getting the horses ready to ride, and learning about some horse therapy.

Start or finish your New Zealand adventure with us. We have the perfect location for you, whether you've just arrived and you're getting set up or about to leave and are selling a vehicle. We're on State Highway 16, the alternate route north from Auckland so we're an excellent choice if you're heading towards Cape Reinga or the Bay of Islands, or a stopping point on your way south again. We're about 40 minutes by car from downtown Auckland. We're close enough to Auckland that you can get there if you want to. We're a family of six who try to live sustainably off our land. Sheep, chickens, ducks, turkeys, geese and bees share our sweeping views of the Kaipara Harbour. We have numerous varieties of fruit trees including a few exotic species and large areas for vegetables and berries. We have three cats, Mouse, Luna and Pearl, and two Boxers, Arya and Koa. On Friday's we open our home for anyone to come and enjoy the best pizza you'll eat in New Zealand. (Usually between 20-40 peop...

We do not accept people who are not Helpex members. We love our HelpXers and will definitely treat you like family while you are with us. Im an artist and my husband works in I.T. We also have a miniature poodle called Archie. Our house is large The Helpex rooms vary . It depends on which room is vacant ! We are easy going people and we just like to have hard working but cheerful people in our world. What we need help with IS.... cleaning, painting , gardening , VIDEOS for my website . Look at www.jayetavalentine.com and you’ll see videos on there made by Helpexers . I don’t really expect such high grade videos to be made….but if you are a little bit handy with a phone camera and can do simple editing….that will be fine We expect about 20 hours work ov...
