I love traveling and meet people and experience new cultures. Born i Denmark and I have been traveling through many years and found my wonderful house in 1997 in Gränna. I have decided to change my way of living and want to start my own small business in my house, offering B&B, TinyHouse, Glamping, Cultural & Nature tourism, and of course, teach all I know about making jam, lemonade, cookies, and good food that I learned growing up. I want to get bees and make a kitchen garden. As you can read I have many ideas. I like to work in the garden or on the house - there is always something to do. I also work as a consultant as a business developer in the hospitality industry. My house is a traditional Swedish wooden house. Everything I have renovated, I have done in an old style. My house is beautifully situated above the village of Grän...

We are a women’s collective growing aromatic herbs in the foothills of the Pyrenees. We are looking for help with weeding and harvesting our plants (lavender, rosemary, thym, savory etc), and turning them into products in our workshop. For info on our project - https://www.naturellementchouette.com/). We generally ask for 4-5 hours work a day in exchange for meals and accommodation in our house or barn. There is plenty of space to put up tents or park vans, or you can stay in one of the houses in our eco hamlet. Our ideal helpers have some experience or love of gardening, or enjoy physical work, or like to live simply, close to nature. Work hours can be flexible with whole days off planned for exploring the area. There are lakes, rivers, mountains, all within easy reach, as are small villages with lots going on in terms of concerts and events over the summer. The food is mostly vegetarian but some meat occasionally appears on the table. Look forward to meeting you, Lesley

We offer a farm stay with great views and good conversation. We chopped down a pine forest and replanted with Manuka about 4 years ago so its starting to look really great, and more native birds are about. Also we are developing a small reserve that needs assistance with tracks and tree management. Some stock work is all so on offer but we will work with you all the time as its safer and more fun. cheers Geoff and Declan

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing to complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our doorstep, hiking trails through the mountains and forests, cycling paths, and skiing in the winter months. We love company of other people, and love having visitors. There would be plenty of chances to be alone, if that is what one is looking for. We offer homestay experience. We can lend you a bicycle to do your own exploring, you can hike, take a bus or train to go further afield. We also like to explore the area and show it to our visitors. We are located 10 km from Spai...

Hi there! We are an intentional community in the beautiful Swedish countryside. Last year we build our new garden café, completely from scratch, with the idea to create a meeting-space for both tourists and locals. At the moment we need people that want to come and help us working in the café. If you have love and interest for this kind of work in a new and exciting surrounding, contact us. We want someone who wants to work in the café, specifically the kitchen, for a longer period of time. If you are wishing to really contribute and integrate in a new place, we are waiting for you :) In 2017 Johan bought a farm with surrounding lands and forest, located close to a lake. It was his vision to build up a village where people work together in an organic and sustainable way. The community has been growing for the past five years and we are now focusing on becoming self sustainable. Now we are 3 people living on the farm and about 5 more people involved in the farm and living nearby and ...

Hello friends :) We are Sadí and Jacqi, a couple from Perú and Germany. After several years of traveling, volunteering, helping out and learning in many beautiful projects & communities, we have settled down in the rainforest of Perú and are now happy to be able to receive volunteers ourselves :) About a year ago, we bought this piece of land which includes about 56 hectares, in the region of Ucayali The area has suffered a lot from deforestation by the coca leaf production and cattle industry which left the soil very depleted due to the intense use of chemicals. the forests need our support (cutting vines preventing trees from growing, opening up the water ways of the rivers that are blocked by wood, vines and much more...) to be able to recover strongly and healthily. Our vision for this place is to help the local ecosystem to recover its natural balance, establish abundant food forests, including local and foreign varieties, using natural, regenerative methods like permaculture,...

I live in an old farm and farmhouse in Normandy. I have converted a cottage into a B&B with 4 bedrooms (all en suite) and the first barn into a gite. I also had a Yurt (now gone but the pictures are still there !!) and a campsite. With the guest-accommodation, farm and further buildings to be converted, I could always do with an extra pair of hands. Skills can range from building, painting, cleaning, farming and general maintenance. Someone with a sense of humour would be great. I enjoy music so you may find all sorts playing, from classical to Genesis, Roxy Music to London Grammar! Current projects (weather dependent) include: 1. reorganise toolshed 2. reorganise barn 3. move garden shed I offer accommodation and meals included in return for help normally 5 days a week. After a week I'm happy to give a day tour of the battlefields ... Easy to find and get to .. .By train leave Paris at the Gare de St Lazare for Cherbourg. Get off at Lison station and I can meet you there.

Where East meets West, half way between Oslo and Bergen, is our historic farm situated 750 meters above sea level in the beautiful mountain village Leveld, surrounded by forest and mountains. This summer we are finishing off a building project in our beautiful mountain chalet and we are preferable looking for handy people who learns fast or have experience. This historic farm has been in the family for generations, and many of the houses date back to 1865. Now it is our turn to take over and give new spirit to the place, and we hope you will join us in the process. The main income of the farm is to run the 9 tourist cabins. At the moment we have decided to give some of them a new and updated look, and this is the main focus. Spring or atumn is usually the best time to come. About us: You will have mostly to do with Tone, who is responsible for the running the farm and the cabins. We are a family with 3 children, the youngest (16) still lives at home, the other two has moved out. T...

**Space available from now until 4th June** **Couples/Friends welcome** We are a busy, free-hold pub with brewery and gin distillery in a small village beside the sea in North Devon. We serve real ales, home-made food, and run regular music nights, games night and discussion groups. We are busy with holiday-makers and residents alike, and the pub is an important part of the community here. Depending on the length of stay and time of year, volunteers might find themselves working in the garden with general maintenance and tending to our raised beds and greenhouse or assisting in the kitchen- helping service run smoothly during lunchtime and evening sessions. Kitchen work is mainly helping keep things tidy during service, carrying food to tables, etc. The nature and duration of the work varies depending on how busy we are. In the summer and at school holidays, the work will be in the kitchen. We also need some help cleaning the pub in the mornings before we open at 11am. Generall...

A Long term exchange is available. Nearly everything we do is in support of one thrill: adventures in food. But rural living out here in mid-nowhere means that there are endless other things to be tasked as well: construction, gardening, maintenance of many sorts, enhancing the natural beauty around us. Chances are that if you could describe a pure-fun, physical job, there would be something here I could offer that might satisfy those urges. If you want to work hard, eat marvelous meals and have a fabulous time in the gardens, the workshop and the kitchen, come join us and get a relaxing feel of rural life. We are foodies far from the centres and trying to help create a culture of great food around us: for ourselves and for our friends. We are also trying to make that happen as much as is possible using local foods, neighbour's offerings, and our own produce. That is where we hope you will assist us, working with me in the gardens and workshop and, if you want, bringing your creativi...

I have been living in Whangarei for most of my life - love it here :-) myself and partner have recently bought a home on half an acre of land a few minutes drive from the CBD and also have a Waterfront Bach 10 minutes drive away too. We're flatting with social / active flatmates and there`s lots of fun things to do nearby. With these homes there`s plenty of work to be done around - including especially painting, yard work / gardening, housework, helping building a chicken run etc. I`d like to meet some travellers to help out with these and happy to introduce / show around some of northland`s best attractions / secrets! Can provide sleeping quarters, food and drinks for around 4 hours work per day.. Can also potentially provide a bike to borrow / further allowances dependent on the level of work.. Also if anyone has any specific experience and career history as any building related trade I would happily pay a good hourly wage for some work too. Would prefer to host helpers with e...

A bit of help needed, not really "work", but assistance, about 4 hours/day, 5 days per week, flexible. Please help where and how you can; light household chores, cleaning, improvements, cooking, shopping, chatting, events and visits to activities or parks. I clean my own mess. Guests should help voluntary with their own initiative and effort in their own time-planning. I do not like giving commands, do not need a maid, need very basic household help and some company. Cash reward is possible for very special activities like helping with major home improvements or help with my small Amazon and Ebay shops or special ventures. I can also host couples to share the work-load. I have great experiences hosting groups, partners and also families. Free accommodation plus basic food, humor, entertainment, life- tips and hacks. Private guest-room (double-bed) with shared bathroom, kitchen, balcony and home-cinema ... and free WiFi. The only real rules in my home are the "Ten Commandments". Guest...

I'm Thanasis, a 55 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

We are a enthusiastic Dutch vegetarian ecological family with 7 happy young home schooled children. Our house, which is alongside a beautiful river with natural swimming pools , is some 10km away from the nearest village. There are 60 hectares of land stretching way up into the wild mountains. We have many animals; horses, donkeys, chickens, cats, dogs, goats..... We make organic bread and jams, and live a life of simplicity. We like to share our life and work with enthusiastic people willing to be involved and to share. Our day rhythm is ruled by weather, enthusiasm, mood,.. and work is more popping up than planned, so we're not counting hours (and weekdays don't exist here). People who want to experience a completely different way of life, far away from society are very welcome! We enjoy the cultural exchange !! We have a small Horsefarm, with beautifull Mérens horses, a pyrenean mountain breed, a very small camping a la Ferme and some Gîtes for rent in july and August, a big ve...

This is a very healthy warm dry desert climate, where viruses do not thrive. At our farm here in the Coachella Valley we grow 6 varieties of dates; Medjool, Barhi, Khadrawi, Khalas, Halawi & Zahidi....and we also have young plantings of Jamaican plums. Date harvest will be from July 1st then into October, so we need help with picking then. Tasks include irrigation, pruning, picking, fertilizing, pollination, clean-up, compost, trenching, house cleaning, road repair. We clean our soaking pools regularly and the farm could use the help of an electrician, and also someone with adequate videography and editing skills. We also like to connect with folks who know how to operate a sewing machine, so we can repair our date bags. The hot springs is located in a very remote setting in the Coachella Valley of the southern California desert about 2 hours and 30 minutes from Los Angeles, or 50 miles southeast of Palm Springs, just off highway 111, in the morning shadow of the Chocolate Mountains, ...

This is a somehow unusual project. Minimal conditions offered, so only for hardened bushcrafters or outdoorsy people.💦🌱🦎 🌳🕸🦅🌳🐝🌳🦌🐌🍃✨🌱💦🪱🦌Max 3 hours a day volunteering for accommodation only , or 4 to 5 h for food and accommodation. On a steep slope, just at the edge of the huge forests we re trying to build a tree house, and later on an earthship and some other dependence’s. Water systems works also and hopefully access entrances for auto. Working towards a biodiverse, productive, ecological future by applying low tech permaculture techniques. Ideal skills needed: 🪚🪄✨natural building, carpentry, plumbing, bushcraft, permaculture. If you consider yourself a handy person, please get in contact and we ll arrange something. For a motivated skilled carpenter longer term better arrangements are possible. Moreover, for someone with a PDC , in need for space to create, we can facilitate a nice and smooth long term cooperation beyond the boundaries of the conventional ways. Th...

Hi ,I am Dipak. I am 20 years old and I study in science. I live with my sister Gita 17 years old. We live in a small house situated in a small traditional nepali village, with one cow and a small garden which provide our daily food. We are hindus but in the village lives a lot of different community (Rai,Limbu, Rajbanshi...) which lives together and help each others. In the house you will experience lots of differents easy works: working in the rice fields, help with the cow, help in cooking, also maintaining the garden (watering). This is a perfect place for meditation, walking in the tea garden and rice fields and also learn about nepali culture.

Would you like to come and help us out? At the moment, we would be looking for mature (preferably 25 and over) helpers for the months of May and June, 2024. We are a cozy, charming and comfortable oceanfront Guest House, with 5 guest bedrooms, overlooking a scenic bay in our tiny community (250 residents) called Sandspit, or K'il Kun, on Haida Gwaii, a remote archipelago on the northern coast of BC. Helpers will have a private room, all meals catered for, and communal dinners. Bikes are available for exploration of the surroundings, and we can usually take helpers out on local adventures (boating, fishing, camping, hiking, etc.) Work is usually general help for day to day operation of the Guesthouse during the summer Season, June to September (cleaning, gardening, etc.), and general maintenance, construction etc. during the shoulder and off-season. In the summer some tasks can be somewhat scheduled (cleaning on busy days) but otherwise, helpers are usually in charge of their own s...

We are a young couple with some experience on self-sufficient-living that in 2015 got a piece of land in a small growing community of close friends in a beautiful valley at the highest mountains inside the biggest natural park of our country. We need help on creating a Natural Farm to support our small eco-community! Rita is a health-food enthusiast and loves to work with different kinds of art-craft. She likes to explore with Medicinal plants, Fermented food, ways of preserving food and appreciates doing basketry, wool-work and book-binding. Also likes to produce cleaning and hygiene products like natural detergents, soaps and salves. Walking in the nature, singing with friends and doing yoga are some of the other things she enjoys. Gonçalo is a nature lover with a passion for Permaculture and Natural Farming. Studied Organic Agronomy and has been practicing it since 2008, with the help of volunteers, interns and apprentices. He enjoys sharing and to make music with friends. Unfo...
