Nos autres animaux sont 2 chiens, un malinois guide de chevaux, et une micro beagle réformée des laboratoires, et des poules qui vivent en liberté. Il est donc primordial d'aimer aussi les chiens, car les deux là sont très invasifs pour avoir des câlins... Notre discipline sportive est l'endurance, et nous il nos arrive de faire des des compétitions plus ou moins longues, de 20 à 120 km ou plus. Evidemment le cheval est notre passion, et nous aimons partager avec tous ceux qui ont la même passion que nous. J'accueillerais une cavalière, ou un cavalier (très léger si c'est un garçon ), souriante et sympa, qui bavarde, pour monter à cheval avec moi, une fois le matin et une fois l'après-midi en général, selon la météo (on ne va pas se faire souffrir !) et ce que j'ai d'autres à faire...

We are a small organic olive farm, not yet in commercial production and animal refuge. We practice permaculture and the olives are part of a `forest garden` which also includes 200 cork oaks, carob and other trees and shrubs. We also have a vegetable garden and fruit trees . Our rescued animals include dogs, cats, a house pig, donkeys, a goat, ducks, rescue rabbits and worms!. Living in a Mediterranean climate we practice several different methods of water recycling and have a biological swimming pool. Help is required with all aspects of a compassionate, sustainable lifestyle. Meals are vegan, wine is served with the evening meal and we are non smoking. Current projects are forestry care, garden management - watering & weed/feed for animals,animal care, plus all the everyday tasks that are part of everyday communal sustainable living. I am quite a bit over 80 and the farm gives me too much to do. I intend to leave France at the end of the year, so quite a number of things have to be done. Together with my husband we could have managed, but unfortunately he died a few years ago. so I was left alone. I am an Irish filmmaker, recently relocated to France. I have just bought a 150 year old French Manor House(20+ rooms) and two giant barns, which I am converting into an independent film studio, as well as a recording studio and artists studios. I plan to run Kino Kabaret filmmaking events here as well as writer retreats and film industry masterclasses. I also plan to hold outdoor theatre in the summer. I also love to cook and try new dishes so look forward to cooking with travellers. Hello helpers travellers We live in the French Alps, in Maurienne, in a ski resort : Les Sybelles. We are a couple of 40 yo, with a super sportive dog, Loulou. We're looking for helpers for now, for the month of October. Since early July we're back from a 3 months road trip through Scandinavian (2 months in Norway) and Baltic countries. Automn has started and colours are stoning ! We live close to Le Corbier in a little wooden chalet, almost lost in the forest, accessible by walking (20 min) or by quad. It is at 1500m altitude. Easier if you have your own car to travel around but all good if you don't. The Corbier is accessible by a walk. We can come to pick you up in St Jean de Maurienne, the nearest town. Hitch hiking works well. It's a wooden chalet, that we're restoring and it will be our main home for now and near future. It relies on solar panel and spring source. We're tend to be self sustainable and autonomous. We have 4 hen and we enjoy their eggs. We do a lot of our own ...

Tasks: Starting Springtime: the most important help we need would be gardening especially weeding. Other than that, you can help with household and cooking: cleaning the house, washing clothes, folding them, cooking (simple dishes makes us happy too) . On weekends you would be free to do anything, either relax or discover the region.
