We started to plant a small vineyard on the hills of Nice. So far we have planted on the terraces 0,5 hectare of local varieties: rolle, ugni blanc, grenache gris, cinsault, mourvedre. We are in the process of restoring a large building made up of several parts, located in Belvezet, a small village 10 kilometers from Uzès. The region is magnificent. Our house is located in a hilly landscape alternating between forest and scrubland. We carry out all the construction work by ourselves and would be very happy to welcome you to participate in this restoration. The tasks are very varied and can include structural work, various small works, gardening and others. We have also created an organic vegetable garden, which allows us to eat our own vegetables part of the year. We ask for 5 hours work per day, 5 days a week. Days off could be Saturday and Sunday, or some other days we can agree on together. At the moment, the accommodation is quite rudimentary. We are a non-profit association created in 2000. Our purpose is to share a traditional rural way of living from our region “le Var” known for being the first producer of flowers in France. We would like to instill the development of a more sustainable and collaborative way of living in order to create a cooperative among rural actors. This association owns a 5,000m2 parcel of land surrounded by vineyards and a nice river. One of the main features of the farm is a common kitchen where local neighbours and workers often gather and share in communal living, cooking and exchanges of ideas and values.
