Hello! Thank you for reading our profile. Guy, myself and our dog Ava would love to welcome you to our home and community up here in Far North Queensland. A place like no other. At the northern edge of the Daintree rainforest, adjacent to the pristine waters of Wallaby Creek (safe for swimming) and surrounded by excellent bush walks, visitors can enjoy numerous activities. Located only a few kilometres north is the Lions Den Hotel, which features live bands during the tourist season and offers a unique experience. The southern route through the Daintree to Port Douglas showcases breathtaking coastal scenery. We invite you to join us on your days off to explore our hills and discover many amazing places that are typically known only to locals. In December 2023, our region experienced significant flooding, marking the largest regional flood in recorded history. Many homes, possessions, and lands were lost as waters reached up to 14 meters high. Despite over a year passing since the ev...

Love to host a strong guy or 2 that have some gardening/farming experience and/or has carpentry skills that's keen to help out around the property and also spend some boating trips, catching barramundi, crocodille spotting, trolling the islands and snorkeling...July/august/september is our main time to enjoy time on the water as its the Humpback whale and fish migration season so we would prefer folks that have an interest in boating/fishing and happy to tie their own fishing knots and set the anchor and dont get sea-sick.... Volunteers can use their time here to sign off for 7 days a week towards their 88 days 2nd or 3rd year visa sign off and we have helped many backpackers secure a second/third year visa as we are registered primary producers in the correct postcode for "disaster relief",. Please make sure you let us know you are looking to get your visa days signed off so we can provide appropriate work from the cyclone recovery list...also be sure to answer the questions at th...

Our farm is in a remote and magical scenic area of the outer Marlborough Sounds. We have a number of cattle and their calves, hens, our dog Trixie, our cat Elmo, 2 friendly pet sheep, Ivan and Mavis. There are always interesting things that need attending to on the farm and in our vegetable garden. We have many areas of garden and regenerating native bush. Plenty of variety on the projects. We have good beaches and nice walks. Your own transport is the easiest or there is a passenger service from Rai Valley Village. Check out our website if you need public transport. https://cairnhill.nz/read-this.shtml and you can email us anytime for help. GENERAL INFORMATION We grow most of our own vegetables. We make compost and use animal manures as fertilisers. With winter we action a great progressive project to plant and regenerate areas with hundreds of native trees. Creating windbreaks, animal shelter, and native bird habitat. Come and join in on a creative and rewarding project. We ...

Stay with us by a beautiful lake, wake up to the sound of birds, enjoy the sunrise from our beach, disconnect from the noise, become more sustainable, feel the essence of nature and climb the volcano where we live. We are looking for self-sufficient and collaborative individuals to join our team of four volunteers dedicated to maintaining and guarding the property. We offer a straightforward exchange: your work in return for food. If you value independence, don't mind routine tasks, love being surrounded by nature and embrace a self-directed way of living, this could be the perfect fit for you! Hello! My name is Hugo and I live on the slopes of San Pedro volcano in Guatemala, in a wild and truly isolated area of Lake Atitlan, accessible only by water. There are no roads, no close neighbors and no noise. Just pure nature, the songs of birds and a stunning beach. I’m on a journey to build a home in this paradise. Most of the time, I share this space with volunteers, some chickens, a c...

CURRENTLY AVIALABLE NOW TILL 30TH JULY My 'property' is named after the 70's TV characters that 'made good use of bad rubbish'. It is a 60's urban house (728sqm) that was all grass front and back and now is a budding permaculture urban farm. With food forests, chickens, wicking beds, african key hole gardens, bees and the home of the 'food is free Coolbellup' pilot project, Womble Inn is still transitioning but a great example of what can be achieved in an urban space. The main house is a Share House and we are at the beginning of the journey to live more simply, know where our food comes from, make our own soaps, toothpastes, reduce our plastic usage amongst many other things. It's been an interesting journey and many laughs at the challenges living simply presents. We don’t always get it right but hey, part of the journey right?! The house is situated very close to Fremantle with great beaches, live music scene, art galleries, and much more. We are also only 50m from the near...

Hi, my name is Mary. I live on the border of NSW and Victoria, a town called Albury. There is a train service to Albury from Sydney about 9 hours and Melbourne about 5 hours train trip. I am located in town, with the railway station and the airport not too far, about 15minutes drive. I am fully vaccinated and require the same of a helper.I only take Non-smokers( meaning you do not smoke at all, outside as well.) Currently I am asking for 2.5hrs a day for board only. You can cook for yourselves, buy supplies locally and after cooking clean your area. We are a small, family-run, 14-acre organic farm dedicated to creating a sustainable, regenerative farming model from the ground up. Our mission is to cultivate healthy, nutritious crops using methods that honor the earth and the wisdom of traditional farming practices. We believe that food is medicine, and to grow the healthiest food, we must first nurture the health of our soils. We cultivate a wide variety of market vegetables and fruits, while also raising chickens, goats, cattle, pigs, turkeys, quail, rabbits, and, soon, sheep. Our goal is to become a central hub for health and wellness in the fertile, long-growing season of Niagara. We are continuously striving to improve and innovate, whether through small to medium-scale construction projects, agricultural advancements, or beautification initiatives. We are seeking one or two passionate individuals who share our vision for a more sustainable future. We draw inspiration from the farming practices of the "Old Country," and are ...

We are searching for one or two helpers to work 2 hours a day in exchange for free accommodation utilities and wifi. This place is a former Monastery, which is now a farm and guesthouse on the Great Ocean Road. We have some lovely black alpacas, a big white fluffy dog and some gorgeous highland cattle. We can give you a very relaxing and spectacular place to live with amazing views of the ocean and surrounding landscape. Our property is between Lorne and Apollo Bay. Only 15 minutes along the Great Ocean Road to Apollo Bay. It is preferable to have your own car to get around in this area. The ocean and beach is across the road! We are looking for help cleaning at our guesthouse, which sits in the middle of a farm. There may be other general grounds maintenance requirements like mowing the lawn from time to time. Please let us know in your email when you are able to begin and how long you are looking to stay. Check out our website for more photos and a drone video of our stunnin...

We have lived on our farm for 4 years now, a 26 acre small holding in the beautiful south hams area of South Devon about 10 minutes drive to Dartmoor and 25 minutes to the beach and close to the amazing and very alternative and interesting town of Totnes. We are in need of a hand in getting things working efficiently- so many jobs and so little time! This could include helping to work on the old barn and make it into a better space to work in (any carpentry/building type skills would be amazing). Then we have poultry (chickens, ducks, turkeys and geese) and 40 pigs to look after/muck out/sort pens and houses plus lots to do in the vegetable area. We are attempting to build a lovely shapely toilet block for potential campers and need to erect a garden potting shed etc. etc. We would like to build a Cob and glass greenhouse (subject to getting planning approval) too so anyone who fancies building with cob would be welcome. The vision is to keep working with farming practices that supp...

In northern Spain, on the CAMINO DE SANTIAGO, we are running an albergue/ hostel for pilgrims, for the 8th year in 2025. It is located right ón the original Camino Primitivo, so pilgrims will pass here on their way to Santiago de Compostela. If you want to be a part of a wonderful Camino-experience in 2025 (apr - okt), please read on.. ABOUT US..: Between beautiful mountain slopes, the albergue/ hostel is situated in the heart of the small pueblo of Salas (Asturias). We sometimes have up to 35 pelgrims staying, divided into 3 shared and 5 private rooms. In high season, more than 250 pilgrims pass every day, after sometimes having walked for more than 2 weeks. Some of them will stop to relax and regain their energy. We'll support them with healthy home-made food, fresh drinks and a big smile. We will offer them a vegetarian communal diner in the evening (for which we have great reviews!!) and an energy-boosting breakfast in the morning. Some of it is donation-based (no charge), s...

We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week. 25/05/25 - I'm looking for someone to start as soon as possible for a week or more. The main jobs at the moment are weeding, planting, log cutting & painting. The weather right now is amazing so a great time to be out in the garden! I live in a 5 bedroom house (a work in progress) with a large garden & lovely views. My son & daughter (age 24 & 23) also live locally & occasionally visit to help out. We need someone to help with the weeding, landscaping and other gardening when the weather is fine & do some housework and DIY when it's not (especially painting and cleaning). In return you'll have your own room, TV and WiFi and be well fed as we love cooking and baking! You will need to be fit & strong, like hard work & preferably know the difference between a weed & a (wanted) plant. A good dash of common sense will also go a long way. Must be a non smoker & I am afraid that I cannot host vegans. Either a single person or a couple is welcome. Helping hours would be around 4-5 h...

This is a certified organic macadamia nut orchard situated on 10ha in the foothills of the Waitakere Ranges Regional Park. We can pick helpers up from Swanson train station, which is 6km away. Having your own transport would enable you to explore the beautiful west coast beaches. Bethells Beach/Te Henga is 10km further down the road. Helpers activities are seasonal, and may include harvesting macadamia nuts in winter; processing the nuts; shelter belt maintenance; firewood splitting; weed grubbing and minimal gardening. We work alongside helpers and show you what to do. Please be aware that orchard work is physical, you will get dirty and there could be a few bugs! We request an average of 4 hours help per night stayed in return for food and accommodation. So that is 28 hours per week. However we aim to have a day off each week by working 2 x 6 hour days, or an 8 hour day. We can usually be flexible and also consider our helper's wishes. Work starts at 9am. We have a separate co...

We purchased this beautiful château in the Loire Valley in 2013 and with HelpXers like yourself, we worked tirelessly to renovate it, taking it from its dilapidated state to the current splendour of a modern 21st century castle. There is still a large space to renovate, as well as finishing touches all around the château, so we get excited if you have trade skills to offer. We have availability for you throughout the year and are keen to book interested people, like yourself, in for longer periods anytime over the year. We ask a minimum stay of two weeks with us, but longer periods are a big bonus. We love positive enthusiastic people who enjoy all that life offers and can share that energy with those around them. If you like working in the garden or have general handyman skills...we would love to hear from you. We would also love a stonemason to join us, as we have a few stone walls to repair. And if you have experience working behind the bar or preparing breakfasts, then tha...

Update, possible accommodation available for kiwifruit staff. My caravan is available, not fancy but clean & waterproof. I'm a beekeeper in need of assistance, either with the bees directly or not. I'm located 16km South of Te Puke on a property that has a back boundary of native forest. I'm usually able to host people at any time of year, but am busiest in the spring. I currently have building projects happening, as well as lots of painting, waxing new bee frames, and also hands on beekeeping for anyone who is keen. I also keep sheep and cattle on the property here, and hunt deer and pigs in the forest. These grass and forest fed animals form a large part of the menu here, so vegetarians probably won`t be happy with the diet. I cater to lots of herbivores and they all have hooves or paws. The accommodation is a spare room in the house. The house is a late 1800s villa in need of replacement, but it keeps the weather out and I find it comfortable. Housework isn't high on my priority ...

**** CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR A COUPLE ONLY - HAVE TO HAVE THEIR OWN TRANSPORT **** I live ~80km outside of Darwin, close to Batchelor and Litchfield national park, so working hours can be flexible and arranged to fit in with your sightseeing needs. I'll be looking at 4-5 hours of work per person per day in exchange for food and accommodation. Currently needing help with restoring a garden project. This involves cleaning up garden beds, putting out hay, shovelling and distributing woodchip, fixing irrigation, moving heavy rocks around. This time looking for a couple only, as the work may be a bit physically demanding and right now I won't be able to accommodate pick up, so please have your own transport. Please reply on this site initially, so I can have a look at your profile, then any other questions or comments can be discussed preferably via email or Whatsapp. Cheers Belinda ***NOTE: CANNOT sign for 2nd year visa!***

Looking for helpers who can ideally commit to a minimum of 2-3 weeks and preferably longer during lambing season. In return you will have your own self-contained, private, peaceful accommodation, with en-suite, washing machine, kitchen and verandah with beautiful views of rural land and Tasman Bay. Wifi, power and water included. You must be physically strong, hard-working, practical and fit, and not afraid of getting your hands dirty. Beautiful hill country sheep and cattle farm, with views of the sea and mountains. You must enjoy working with animals, be kind, respect and care for them. There is plenty to do all year around and depends on the season. We offer plenty of general farm work experience, gardening, fire-wood splitting, weed-spraying and or grubbing. There are always fencing and construction projects if this suits you too. The vegetable garden is organic and I use permaculture methods where possible. Only non-smoking, drug-free helpers please. You must have your...

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON *Got a garden that needs cleaning up at the moment. You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one farmer, one dog, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town, which is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay. Two hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around. There is a mountain on my farm with lots of tracks to walk and a creek to sw...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

We have a basic but lovely country home located by the Rangitikei River. We are about 25 minutes from the nearest shop in Hunterville as well as our local pub which is located about 10 minutes away. My husband and I have a 2 year old son Joseph and a new baby Makayla born September 2024. We do our best to live off the meat that we hunt and the vegetables we grow. I'm looking for someone to help out with our veggie garden and with general work around the house or with projects that I might be doing at the time of your stay. Our roof is currently in need of some repairs so if you are someone that is interested or has experience in roof repairs then you would be a great fit however if this job wouldn't suit you then there's plenty of other chores to do.

I am happy to pick someone from the Albury railway station. Albury is a pretty town on the Hume Highway., it is inland on the Murray River and there are a lot of local attractions, vineyards, historical small towns, snow fields and many more, only a few hours drive. I would like help with the garden and other general duties around the house.,such as cleaning. If you are travelling this way, either going to Melbourne or locally and can hel...

Our preference is for a single person or couple who have some skil...

We are Sunny from China and Jeff from New York and we live in a small town in Oklahoma called Olustee of about 500 people.

We own properties in Opotiki and further up the coast in Whanarua Bay, dividing our time equally between the two. With winter approaching, we're looking for help with various tasks around our properties. We need assistance with general spring cleaning tasks outside such as pruning, gardening, washing buildings, lawn mowing, etc. In exchange for 4 hours of work per day, we offer accommodation, meals, and free Wi-Fi. Our property also features one sheep named Mary, along with several hens and Indian runner ducks. If needed, we can arrange pick-up from the bus station.

Please note, we cannot host anyone with any pre existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions). We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our doorstep, hiking trails through the mountains and forests, cycling paths, and skiing in the...

You'd be looking at around 4 hours of help per day in exchange for food and accommodation. We live on my husband's parents Deer, Sheep and Beef farm. We have 2 pet dogs and a few working dogs as well as some very friendly pet sheep. Ch...
