We are Axel and Mônica (both 51). We are living in Portugal and our house with 3000 squaremeters of land is in a small village in the countryside of the beautiful Algarve. We can offer accommodation (bedroom - as you can see on the picture - and separate bathroom for you) and meals of course. Behind the village the mountains start, so here is a lot of nature,the beaches are 30km away. The next town (Messines) is 4km away, the next village about 1km. We need helpers from end of February 2026 for three weeks for some work in our garden.. We prefer a couple or two friends, but if you are a single helper, you can contact us as well. We live on a 3 acre lifestyle block of land 32km south of Whakatane. We are close to the Te Urewera National Park. On our land we have 6 Wiltshire sheep as well as ducks, geese and many fruit trees, an organic vegetable garden.also are trying to establish small wilderness area in native plants. The little village of Waimana is 2km from where we live. The Waimana river is good for swimming, kayaking and trout fishing. Work includes helping in the house, garden work and firewood. We like to have lots of fun and include you as part of our family and also like to take people walking in the hills. We grow organic table grapes, a few fruit trees, chickens and a few pigs. This is a real farm experience, mostly working in the vineyard, with some fun too. There is biking to town, swimming in the ocean or our lake, fishing, basketball, volleyball, hiking, nature walks, beach strolling and look for fossils at Blue Beach, camp fires , rope swing in our little lake, take in the fantastic views, sunsets, star gazing, internet, phone and go to nearby towns such as Wolfville and Hantsport as well as the rest of the Annapolis Valley with the local bus. I live between a yacht on Sydney Harbour and a house in a tall eucalyptus forest on the mid north coast of NSW, and need some assistance in working on the house and on another yacht.  I'm a carpenter who worked with National Parks and Wildlife for 25 years before retiring, and live with a small dog Billy. Winter February 2026 - opening as of Feb 8th Wow, exploring right outside our backdoor along side the Campbell River on Vancouver Island, is a beautiful place to experience Vancouver Island`s great outdoors this winter with all the wild life right in our back yard :) Although we live on a one acre town lot, our back yard is situated on a cliff over looking an accessible beautiful heritage river, with a nature park setting of ferns, Douglas fir, maple and alder trees. You can often see deer, raccoons, bears and the silver backs of salmon and Steelhead fish jumping in the ebb and flow of the river’s pools. We have trail access to the river below, where you can enjoy listening to the sing song of many birds, tubing down the river/swimming in the heat of the summer, and trying your hand at casting for Steelhead fish. This is a farm with a hatchery for geese and ducks, and with a herd of pure friesian cows (28) and beef cattle. We are also involved in research work in the field of animal Welfare / Behaviour / Ethology, working on topics related to incubation in duck and goose eggs and animal welfare. Two apartments are available but with meals and food provided in the main house. The farm is about 5km from the nearby town and approx 1km from the beach. Accommodation and food provided and payment can be provided depending on interests and needs. A person may wish to work for short periods of time in garden or on farm. It is a family situation with 4 children from 21 to 16 years.
