Since 2012, hundreds of volunteers from many countries have helped our projects. We are very grateful for their help and many have become our good friends and come back for a second, third or even fourth visit! In 2020 I started a new project in a town in Northern Ireland. The building is a former back-packers hostel which we are gradually turning into campus. that focuses on peacebuilding education. Our aim is "to creatively and sensitively explore the resistances to peacebuilding - knowing that such resistance can resource transformation". We are not a commercial business, but a “not-for-profit” that is run by volunteers. We have three types of volunteers. 1. Volunteers - help with site work, painting, maintenance, cooking, cleaning, maintenance, office work. They come for a couple of months, though sometimes a shirt as two weeks or as long as a year! 2. Interns - come for at least 2 months, often 3 or 4 months or longer, and do work such as research related to their stud...

We are a 4-star boutique resort near the quiet white sands of Bai Sao in southern Phu Quoc, and we are looking for 4-5 volunteers a month for our upcoming summer season. In June and July, we need simple maintenance volunteers willing to help with general upkeep. In July and August, our focus shifts entirely to our summer English camp, where we need enthusiastic volunteer teachers to run group classes for kids and lead conversational English sessions for our staff. While you will be living on-site at a 4-star resort with access to our pool, gym, and spa, this is a real-world, active hotel with high standards. We are looking for adaptable, community-minded people who show up ready to be useful, dress appropriately in guest areas, and treat the space with care. If you are ready to immerse yourself in island life and help us build something great this June, July, or August, we would love to have you join our team. Volunteers have a coordinator, a schedule, and clear expectations. But w...

This is a certified organic macadamia nut orchard situated on 10ha in the foothills of the Waitakere Ranges Regional Park. We can pick helpers up from Swanson train station, which is 6km away. Having your own transport would enable you to explore the beautiful west coast beaches. Bethells Beach/Te Henga is 10km further down the road. Helpers activities are seasonal, and may include harvesting macadamia nuts in winter; processing the nuts; shelter belt maintenance; firewood splitting; weed grubbing and minimal gardening. We work alongside helpers and show you what to do. Please be aware that orchard work is physical, you will get dirty and there could be a few bugs! We request an average of 4 hours help per night stayed in return for food and accommodation. So that is 28 hours per week. However we aim to have a day off each week by working 2 x 6 hour days, or an 8 hour day. We can usually be flexible and also consider our helper's wishes. Work starts at 9am. We have a separate co...

Hello, i would be happy for help. There is a lot to do on this place, mostly in the garden. Technical help, e.g. installation of solar panel, building a greenhouse, renovation of an old cattle house would also be needed. A carpenter and a bricklayer would be also great. We are vegetarian ! :-) We are a couple in our best age, and are here since 5 years. We want to build a small place for meditation and Qi Gong here. We want this to become a place for living and coming together. We would be happy to meet you.

I can't see the world, but the world can come see me. First and foremost, I want to thank all the helpers who came from United Kingdom-England, France, Belgium, Italy, China, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. Welcome Helpers. I live in the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia. Peaceful Hollow is quite with no neighbors in sight. There are no city lights, and you can see every star on a clear night! Pleaseful Hollow consists of: my cabin,/workshop with a private guestroom with private entrance on the second floor, and a very small guest cabin. My daughter and family moved here much later and have their own home. There is a lot you can be involved in, knowledge to share, friendships to build, and opportunities for growth. Below are routines and some projects. I would love to involve you! - Caring for honey bees, chickens, cats, dogs, one registered pure American Mulefoot boar pig, one gilt pig berkshire-tamworth with spots.. i am a fourth-generation beekeeper and has much ...

Note to HelpX and travellers! We've been sabotaged by another Host nearby. Some of you might have received slandering messages about us which hold absolutely not truth. We've received multiple copies of these dreatful messages which the Police identified as untrue and so opened a deformation case against this Host. It's really low of character of a Host and quite childish for a Host to not only sabotage, asking Helpers to not join us, or joining her instead. It's even lower to write a warning on her Host profile about us. Truth is that we have done work for this Host, looked after her helpers for quite some time as the many 5 star reviews on her profile can show. We've fed her helpers while overseeing her renovation. We have never been paid. We took our losses and went on with our happy lives. We suggest that the badmouthing Host stops her spite, deletes the negative comments about us on her profile stops sending out defacing untrue comments to other Helpers and goes on with live. ...

Hello Helpxers, I generally host between 2 and 4 people to help me out on a beautiful farm I have just bought in South Wales. I have bought this place to run as a retreat centre but I am also wanting to slowly build a self sustaining community. At the moment I am specifically looking for people who have some practical, DIY/building skills; carpentry, tiling, plumbing (needed help finishing of a bathroom refurb), slate roof needs some tiles replaced or working with a chainsaw, strimmer, scythe - clearing brambles, woodland etc. I have a couple of rooms rented out for B&B may need help with change overs. Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) , please don't come if you have a heavy cold or flu, I'm involved with the elderly. Cheers Al

Hello everyone!!! Namaste! This is an organic farm & retreat center located in the Himalayan foothills. We offer unique spiritual pilgrimages, organic food (as much as possible except when there are instances that we cannot produce our own), agricultural farming classes, tantra yoga, sound healing, Chandi mantra chanting & meditation courses. - I am Shree Krishna Shrestha, the owner of this lovely farm and I live here with my 57 year old wife, Sarita Shrestha and our 22 year old daughter who has recently returned back home from studying abroad. I also have two sons who live with their families about 30 minutes far in the town below our village. I have been doing silent meditation for about 5-6 years now and plan to do 4 more years during which I choose not to speak, communicate through text messages or signs, eat a vegetarian diet with no salt mainly consisting of our own cow milk, yogurt, roti/chapati and boiled potatoes. My family started this farm in 1991 with the dream of being o...

Hello there, I am 40 years old and I have studied chiropractic in Wales for 4 years, I speak English, French and Italian, two years ago I got back in Sicily and I came into possession of this amazing place. The property is based in Sicily, on a promontory that faces the sea. It is an historical family house with an amazing view and a almost a tropical micro-climate. It is also possible to reach the beach by the stairs. In the first year I have used to work alone to renovate the place, and making a permaculture "EDEN" garden in a piece of family land close to home, until I discovered Helpx with which I speeded up and brought to completion several projects. We have built many, MANY synergic gardens, a green house for the winter, planted several new tropical fruit trees (mango, avocado, melarosa....) and perennials. I can accommodate 4 people in 2 apartments, that have a kitchen and bathroom facilities, I don't need help in working for the whole week, weekends are free for who will c...

Hello, my partner John & I, have had a wonderful time sharing our home with volunteers. We now have a vacancy from January 2027. short or longer stays are welcome. We usually have 2 volunteers staying with us, each with their own bedroom. Volunteers can cover each others time off & share the tasks. We usually take volunteers out to places of interest, on a Saturday. We live as a family & enjoy many things together, with our volunteers, many of whom have become lasting friends. We live in a 4 bed modern dormer bungalow, in a beautiful village, with a shop & bus stop 3 minutes walk from the house. We live with my father, who is 89 years old and has memory loss. My father is calm & relaxed. Hello! Iwould be happy to have a person to help after the summer of 2026. This could be In October 2026, for a week or two. I hope to firm up dates soon. The property is situated outside the picturesque hill side village of Glossa, on the island of Skopelos. Which is part of the Sporades archipelago in the Northern Aegean . The first Mamma Mia Film was based here, so the Mamma Mia church is close by. Skopelos is one of the greenest islands and though it’s not a massive party island, there is plenty to do especially if you appreciate nature and island life. It offers a lot of possibilities to have outdoor experiences such as hiking, mountain biking, swimming, exploring beaches, running, Yoga etc. The island and area around is lovely, you can find beautiful beaches. The type of help I could do with is gardening, lots of painting and general maintenance , cleaning, cooking organizing around the property. I suggest a five hour helping day with your weekends off. For accommodati...

🌿 Come help on our farm! We need friendly volunteers to join us with cooking, cleaning, gardening, and everyday tasks — no experience needed, just a good attitude and willingness to muck in.We are looking for helpers between the ages of 18 to 32. We are a small community of friends working towards a better life in a beautiful part of rural Devon, in the Tamar River Valley Estuary where you will make friends for life. In exchange for your friendship while you are staying here we will endeavour to teach you new skills that will carry you through life. A small farm in a beautiful location! Our farm and home probably date back to pre 1660's, with many additions since. It has been left to go wild for the last 40 years. The river has otters, seals, beavers, salmon, sea trout, and sea bass. With buzzards and owls overhead. There are deer in the surrounding woodland. The aim for our farm is to give the land back to nature and at the same time create an organic food source that we can freely ...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. PLEASE NOTE WELL: we absolutely cannot host anyone with any pre-existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions), such as hay fever, any other allergies, sensitivities or intolerances. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our do...

Hola todas! My place is an old grain mill with half a hectare of land. I live here for more than 17 years and hosted many volunteers. Work is mostly in the garden. Weeding, digging, planting, watering, harvesting and off course eating. There is a big cat family living on the land. Help in the kitchen is welcome. Special dietary requirements must be met by the helpers. In the area there are many activities possible. More yoga teachers than there are yoga students. Meditations, dancing, healing, massage, channeling, singing,....! Many communities of all sorts (hippy, midwives, subud, soefie). Hiking in all directions. Even skiing starting beginning of December. I try to keep a healthy environment, so no drugs that cloud your spirit. No dogs either. People mostly stay between one and two weeks. Work is about 5 days a week, 4 hours a day. Food and lodging included. Flexible. Work depends on peoples abilities. Any questions? Always happy to explain! Ruud

My husband Tony and I, offer self-contained accommodation for short stays of a week or two for a couple or two friends (any genders) who would like to explore the beautiful Yarra Valley or who are in between jobs (longer stays may be possible depending on whether we have family coming to stay and using the studio.) Our property, Lavender Farm, is about 6 kilometers from the small tourist town of Healesville in the Yarra Valley. The Yarra Valley is wine-growing region at the foot of the Great Dividing Ranges. It is about 1 hour by car from Melbourne. We have a lemon orchard, vegetable garden, horse paddocks and some bush. We are not a commericial lavender farm although we have a lot of lavender growing in the gardens. Spring has arrived so the gardens are lovely at the moment. There are some rescue horses (not rideable) and a pony , chickens, very friendly family dogs and a swimming pool. Our daughters are grown up and living in Melbourne so we normally just see them on the week...

I am a 47yr old Englishman living with my Greek partner. We have a large land in a small village - Velanidia - in the Peloponnese near the sea. The nearest town - Neapoly - is 30 minutes drive. We would like our visitors to enjoy the beauty of this place and in return give us five to six hours a day to help us with the upkeep of the property. Most of the tasks will be working on the land. You will have your own room, with superb views, and eat with us twice a day. On most days there is free Wi-Fi, provided by the local municipality and can be used from the balcony of our home. We like our visitors to stay for at least two weeks minimum but prefer longer stays. I would like to point out that where we are has a very long summer. Photo1 our home, photo2 local beach, photo3 living room. photo4 sunrise from our land, photo5 the village and photo6 the family. Please ensure that you have a photo of yourself on your profile otherwise I will not answer your request. During the months March u...

***current opening October 19th to November 13th*** Hi! We are a family of 4: Madalyn (that’s me) is a therapist and artist, Greg is a fisherman, Gray is our indoor/outdoor cat, and Olivine is our sweet baby born July 2025. We are looking for someone to help take care of Olivine for a few hours a day, a few days per week, while I see my clients from home via Telehealth. Our home is a 5 minute walk from the ocean, with excellent snorkeling, coral reef, and fish, and whales in the winter. It’s a quiet community, warm and sunny all year, and not far from attractions like hiking, the volcano, beaches, and more. However it is pretty remote; the nearest stores are at least 20 minutes by car, though you can get coffee, avocados, macadamia nuts, and tropical fruit from nearby farm stands. Helpers get their own private apartment downstairs with bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette and living room. Gray (cat) is not allowed in there so those with allergies have a cat-free zone. We provide some ba...

If you'd like to experience natural, simple living and see what it is like to start a life relying more on yourself than the consumer driven culture, and hear about the realities of "community living", then we may just be a match. We are a young family with four kids under 10, trying hard to transition into self sufficiency. We live off grid, on a bush block. It is a 15 minutes drive to town. A bus can be caught 2.4km away. Coonabarabran is Australia's astronomy capital. The observatory here allows space and planet enthusiasts to explore their interests. We produce our own goat's milk, eggs and have been enjoying tones of salad greens. Now its time for spring planting. My kids are homeschooled, don't eat or watch junk, not allowed tech devices, run and play with each other, help garden and clean up, my 5 year old chops wood, mills flour, my 8 year sews and weaves - and they love the lifestyle. If we watch a film, we discuss the subliminal messages. I spent summers in Russia on dac...

Due to other duties that needs to be done in the shop For now, we are looking for someone to help keep garden clean and tidy, cut shrubs and hedges and some general domestics around the house The kind of person i am looking for must be very neat and clean as well as very reliable and respectful. Someone who is not lazy and is very good at keeping their environment tidy and happy to do some cooking, cleaning, ironing and gardening. Personal hygiene is of utmost importance in our home and must be adhered to. If you want to experience venue décors for occasions (then you are free to come to venues with me, but not mandatory) i am very flexible with time as some days can be quiet, during this time, you can tour the local areas of i...

Welcome to our 525-acre rural property near Ashford in northern NSW. We have recently started developing the property as a working primary production property and currently have sheep and goats. We are gradually improving the paddocks, fencing, water systems and general infrastructure, so there is always something happening and plenty to learn along the way. We’d love to welcome friendly, practical and independent travellers who are interested in experiencing rural Australian life, learning about livestock and property management, and sharing a little of life on the land with us. You don't need farming experience. Part of the experience is learning how a rural property operates and getting involved in the different things we're doing while you're here. 🌿 The experience This is an opportunity to experience a side of Australia that many travellers don't get to see. During your stay, you can learn about sheep and goats, livestock care, fencing, water systems, paddock management, ga...

This project is part of a sustainable re-population project in the Abruzzo countryside. It's part of a network active in this area which connects all the people living around that have chosen the natural farming as their way to freedom. I'm 50 years old and i live one and half km away from Tufillo in a three hectares property. An open space for those who love nature, natural farming, art, and the sharing of goods, knowledge and experience. I started this project which includes the renovation of a farm shed, the building of a new house, some organic vegetable gardens, a meditative corner on an old oak tree, a thermocompost-shower, a clay pizza oven, a bio-climatic chicken coop and small stable. There are to be planted an orchard and a vineyard. From the water source present in the property gushes pure water that will be channeled into two bio-pools that will be used as tanks but also for fish breeding. At the moment there are six chickens and three dogs but i also want to breed geese, r...

Located in Mani, in the very south of mainland Greece, about 300m above sea level in the foothills of the Taygetos mountain range, overlooking the Messinian Gulf you'll find my 3ha of half olive grove, interspersed with native trees and the other half a naturally grown woodland. I have converted to organic status and returned the land to traditional farming methods, next is growing fruit and vegetables and perhaps keeping some livestock.. The work in hand is varied and includes the maintenance of trees and harvest of olives, clearing land, rebuilding dry stone walls and housing. I aim to combine traditional materials, from sustainable resources, and recycled materials wherever possible and would welcome your help at any time of year, especially though at harvest time Nov.-Feb. In general I prefer longer stays, at least 2 weeks, longer after a trial period. Update: The PV park is up and running for some years now. The house is as good as finished, using mainly locally sourced and re-us...

We suggest that the badmouthing Host stops her spite, deletes the negative comments about us on her profile stops sending out defacing untrue comments to other Helpers and goes on with live. ...

We are a working farm and holiday park above Monkstone beach and within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. There is a small young team here full time. We are looking for one or two people to help on the farm and park. You will be required to do a variety of jobs including working with the team, helping with farm work especially lambing, helping with feeding animals, gardening, cleaning and D.I.Y. Overall you need to be enthusiastic, motivated and use your initiative. We will provide everything so you will be happy and can enjoy your time here. Its a great place!!! Visiting Pembrokeshire and in particular staying here would suit people who enjoy the outdoors, nature, hiking, water sports etc. There is so much to do in the surrounding area.

Nurses come three times a day to look after my father, washing & dressing him, volunteers dont need to do those tasks, My father does like to have volunteers, to watch television with him, so that he’s not alone & he enjoys helping volunteers improve their English pronunciation.
