Would like an energetic couple or single person to help out with gardening, and housework. We would expect about 4-5 hours help a day in return for free accommodation and meals. Large bedroom and own bathroom. We have animals so, would prefer someone who enjoyed them being around. There are many wonderful places to explore in Hawkes Bay when you are not working. Fantastic cycle ways, tramping trips into the native bush areas, beaches and wonderful wineries. Prefer you to have your own car to get around and beable to see the region.

I live close to Ruby Bay and have a sizeable garden to weed and take care of. I'm situated on one hectare in a tranquil rural setting, with abundant bird life. I have 2 cats. I'm looking for hard-working people who would like to share my lifestyle while helping out around the place. The work is varied, but usually is weeding and gardening! Other tasks helpers have taken on include painting, firewood gathering, splitting and stacking, construction work, brick laying, cleaning, pruning, and whatever else is going on. The expectation regarding amount of work is that you would get involved in whatever tasks are under way and take reasonable initiative; 5 hours per day in exchange for accommodation (queen size bed in own room) and shared meals. For me the relationship must be one of equals, not boss and workers, and to that end a sense of humour, some shared interests, and good English (since I am effectively monolingual) are essential. In return I often take helpers for walks, swims, m...

We operate a small husband and wife online plant nursery and in our free time we enjoy taking a wwoofer or 2 out on regular boating trips catching barramundi and reef fish, crocodile spotting, fishing and exploring the islands, snorkeling around the Great Barrier Reef and Whale and Dolphin spotting, ... so we would prefer folks that have an interest in boating/fishing and happy to tie their own fishing knots and set the anchor and dont get sea-sick....The more enthusiastic you are to help preparing the boats and cleaning up after the trips the more enthusiastic we are to take you out.... and the boating when the weather suits is a reward for your hard work in helping us out....we prefer to host people for 2 weeks or longer and this will give the best chance of getting the full experience as well as making a meaningful contribution to our lives and property.. From mid- September we would particularly love to host one or 2 people to help out around the garden, plant nursery and farm/or...

Permaculture project with idea and space to create an eco-village. The quinta is located in Alto Alentejo 2km from Portalegre. 15 hectares with magical forests and a beautiful valley provided by seventeen sources and several mines with healthy water where too people live permanently for the moment,Isabel, a communication manager and Michel, a carpenter who is the founder of the project. There is also one dog, five cats, for chickens and six sheep. The project is now in the phase when it’s open so that more people can live here. Because parts of the ruins are ready for occupancy, there is space for people who want to stay longer, which can bring new and stronger dynamics throughout the year, not like before, when there was only a lot going on in the summer months. So far there is already a beautiful gardens going on and numerous species of plants, shrubs and trees which deliver us plenty of food. We are happy when someone shows enthusiasm for the garden because this is a central part...

Next vacancies likely to be 2nd week of September. We appreciate help with DIY repairs and maintenance, timber work, help with gardening, housekeeing, cooking, duck and chicken rearing and dog walking on the beach. Openings for fall .... Wow, exploring right outside our backdoor along side the Campbell River on Vancouver Island, is a beautiful place to experience Vancouver Island`s great outdoors this FALL with all the wild life right in our back yard :) Although we live on a one acre town lot, our back yard is situated on a cliff over looking an accessible beautiful heritage river, with a nature park setting of ferns, Douglas fir, maple and alder trees. You can often see deer, raccoons, bears and the silver backs of salmon and Steelhead fish jumping in the ebb and flow of the river’s pools. We have trail access to the river below, where you can enjoy listening to the sing song of many birds, tubing down the river/swimming in the heat of the summer, and trying your hand at casting for Steelhead fish. As well, our neighborhood is the access point to many scenic nature hiking, walking and biking trails. The ocean photo was taken a couple of miles from my home and all other photos are of my house...

Welcome to the North East corner of Scotland and to a quiet vegetarian smallholding. I’m Kris, I have enjoyed hosting lovely people from around the world for many years now. Friendships have been formed and it's been an enriching experience for me and those who have stayed. The village is 1km away with shops and a pub, but it’s quite remote so it would suit someone looking for that kind of experience. What is most important to me is that this place is right for you, so after reading my profile, please tell me what appeals to you about coming here, so I know we are a good fit. I reply to all personally written messages. Help exchange is a beautiful human experience, copied and AI messages are sadly becoming more common, please keep Helpx human! The land is around two acres (1 hectare). I have a vegetable garden, I planted hundreds of trees, some of which I am now harvesting for firewood. The woodland attracts a lot of wildlife and in the right weather, it is a joy just to sit and li...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. PLEASE NOTE WELL: we absolutely cannot host anyone with any pre-existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions), such as hay fever, any other allergies, sensitivities or intolerances. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. We are a friendly household with a teen, 1 chicken and a small spray-free veggie garden. Our place is located adjacent to and overlooking beautiful NZ bush as well as stunning views over Wellington harbour. We split our time between our house in Lower Hutt and our bach on the Kapiti Coast about 45min North of Wellington. There is an easy train connection to Wellington from there. We are bi-lingual English/German with some rudimentary French. We have had people from Singapore, Germany, Canada, Sweden, Australia, Japan, Martinique, Italy, France, Tahiti, Malaysia, Peru, Korea, Taiwan, China, Czech Republic, Argentina, UK, Austria, USA and Catalonia stay with us and always had great fun. We require 4 hrs work from you every day, doing a variety of jobs around the house and the section (garden). Work involves general housekeeping, weeding, lawn mowing and other gardening. Update, possible accommodation available for kiwifruit staff. My caravan is available, not fancy but clean & waterproof. I'm a beekeeper in need of assistance, either with the bees directly or not. I'm located 16km South of Te Puke on a property that has a back boundary of native forest. I'm usually able to host people at any time of year, but am busiest in the spring. I currently have building projects happening, as well as lots of painting, waxing new bee frames, and also hands on beekeeping for anyone who is keen. I also keep sheep and cattle on the property here, and hunt deer and pigs in the forest. These grass and forest fed animals form a large part of the menu here, so vegetarians probably won`t be happy with the diet. I cater to lots of herbivores and they all have hooves or paws. The accommodation is a spare room in the house. The house is a late 1800s villa in need of replacement, but it keeps the weather out and I find it comfortable. Housework isn't high on my priority ...

We live on a 5 acre hobby farm in the beautiful Huon Valley, Southern Tasmania. Our family consists of three young adult children (two live at home), two horses, many chickens, ducks, geese, goats and two gorgeous dogs. We grow organic vegetables and breed heritage chickens in an attempt to be more sustainable. Jobs involve general gardening, helping with the animals and housekeeping. If you would like a Tassie small farm experience message us with some details of the work you have previously done. We have separate accommodation, with a bathroom. All our HelpXers have loved working and living with us and I hope you will too (please remember Tassie is a cold place in winter). There are many areas of natural beauty in Southern Tasmania which are all fairly close to us. For example, the Hartz mountains, Hastings Caves and the Tahune Airwalk. We live close to a sleepy village called Cygnet and Hobart is only a 40min drive away. (Unfortunately we can't approve 2nd year visas)

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) , please don't come if you have a heavy cold or flu, I'm involved with the elderly. Cheers Al

I would like to offer accommodation for up to a week (longer stays to be negotiated) and food in exchange for 3-4 hours work per day: general maintenance, carpentry, painting, gardening, minor repairs, cleaning and possibly pet-sitting my little dog. Helping times are very flexible. The room is airy and comfortable, with 2 single beds. The bathroom is shared with me. I am in need of an independent person who is a self-starter and can work unsupervised. Handyperson with cleaning and gardening skills and own transportation are essential. There is a bus stop nearby. I am a busy artist living in a funky, eclectic beach property on a quiet street. It is a 5-minute walk to an uncrowded, beautiful surf beach with many walking tracks. The property is 8km south of Noosa on the Sunshine Coast, one of Australia's most iconic tourist destinations. HI, welcome to Taranaki Can you come and give us a hand in the garden and with some general house upkeep. We would appreciate some help over the next few months in our garden, you can begin anytime from now on. We need some help with ongoing garden work weeding, cutting back some hedges and smaller trees as well as general tidying up of our gardens, if it’s pouring with rain we can always find a few inside jobs that need doing. We would also like to get our veggie garden planted and our new tunnel house set up. We are a friendly couple living on a small lifestyle block near Okato, Taranaki. After living for many years in Germany some years ago returned to Taranaki and after joining this platform in September 2024, we have had some wonderful people to stay and enjoyed sharing ideas and exchanging experiences. It’s a great time to be here, although it’s certainly chilly in the mornings we often have lovely warm sunny days. The fantastic surf coast with its black sand beac...

We're Mars, the owner of the property and former owner of multiple language schools and Tracy, a former theatre/restaurant owner who's cooking the most amazing meals and looking after everyone like a mum. There're 2 adorable dogs 🐕🦺🐕 in the family, so you must be a dog 🦮 lover. Also 6 chicken 🐓 and 2 ducks 🦆, so we always have fresh eggs 🪺. We need help with building and creating, and with an awesome edible garden. We're about to put 12v solar power into the rooms, also natural air-conditioning and are finishing up the spa bath in the 2nd bathroom... so there's a bit for you to learn and lots of knowledge to take home. We started our Vineyard back in 2004, it is located in a Beautiful, Quiet, Valley along the bluffs of the Mississippi River. We have five children that have now grown and moved out on there own. I just retired from a career of Process Instrument Work at the local power plant. I could use some help with the Vineyard and Gardens, but also enjoy fishing and boating on the river in the evenings and of course days off. We would be willing to supply your own bedroom ,great meals and WIFI. We also have two male Collies that love to get brushed and played with. The ideal person would have to be able to work on there own or in a small group, after some training of course to get you up to your comfort level, so as you basically understand what the goals might be for the time of year and tasks at hand, a five hour day ,if the weather permits, is what we usually work . There might be a few longer days, but I`m sure that having time off to check out the area won`t be any problem. If you would care...

Kia ora guys, We live in a small west coast beach village about 35-40 minutes from central Auckland called Muriwai Beach. It is one of NZ`s most stunning and wildest beaches. We have a half acre section that always needs little things doing and the house is slowly being worked on as well so experience in building or skilled labour is always cool as well as people who like to work in the gardens and landscape. We have a daughter who is 11 years old who loves playing in the outdoors, tending her veggie garden and meeting people from all over the world. If you like the beach and the wild west coast then I`m sure you will love it out here. I work in the television and film industry while my partner is a a musician. Drop us a line and tell us a bit about yourself and maybe you can come out and share some of the magic that we feel living here. Cheers. Toby, Moana and Manawanui.

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON. Need help with a garden clean up, at the moment. You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough.

Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our do...

You must not be afraid to get stuck into the garden in any weather, get your hands dirty and be happy to do househol...

Cheers Al
