We are a busy couple (no kids) who own a a beautiful equestrian facility located in the Shuswap at the north end of the Okanagan Valley. We are currently in need of helpers with general yard maintenance and other small projects that are planned for construction. Because we both have day jobs separate from the stable, either couples or people who do not mind working independently are preferred. We are only minutes from downtown Salmon Arm and the Trans-Canada Highway. We are very close to Shuswap Lake and within walking distance to the Larch Hills Mountain Bike and Hiking Trail network. 1 hour drive to Silver Star ski hill. We enjoy positive people who are helpful, self motivated and have a good sense of humour. We always need lots of help and love hosting. Please check out the reviews that other helpers have left for us, as well as our website and facebook page. We are very flexible on how long the work term is if the fit is right. Riding and horse care is not part of the daily work....

Kia ora, travellers! Haere mai - welcome to my whare (home) in beautiful Honeymoon Valley, surrounded by native rainforest, birds and insects. We built this eco-earth house using local clay from right under our feet. This land used to be just grass, but after 30 years of caring for this whenua, it now has mature trees, orchards, and organic gardens. Life here is peaceful and quiet, perfect for enjoying nature I am part of the local landcare group, helping protect our native forest, birds, lizards, and insects. We trap predators and remove invasive weeds. You could help with organic/permaculture gardening: vegetables, flowers, herbs, fruit trees, chickens, mowing, brush-cutting, compost-making, maintenance and fixing things (basic carpentry, painting), sewing, cleaning, chopping firewood. I bake bread. I make apple cider vinegar, bottle fruit, jam, chutney, sauerkraut, and collect seeds. You’ll be surrounded by plants, nature, and good company 🌿. You’ll also learn practical gardening tips and horticultural knowledge in a cozy, welcoming environment.. If you are a quiet person who does not enjoy conversation and socializing - this is probably not for you. I live between a yacht on Sydney Harbour and a house in a tall eucalyptus forest on the mid north coast of NSW, and need some assistance in working on the house and on another yacht.  I'm a carpenter who worked with National Parks and Wildlife for 25 years before retiring, and live with a small dog Billy. I've had many helpers come stay over the last few years and have been lucky to have so many interesting travellers stay.  My yacht, is currently on the hard at Whoota, where we are renovating her while helping with work on her. I often take helpers out sailing to see the magnificent Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House but this is not possible while she is being worked on. Yet, I hope to invite helpers out when she is back in the water. The house is located in Whoota, near Forster. It is surrounded by forest and located a 10 minute drive from pristine beaches, lakes, and bushwalks. There a lots of dolphins to see and beautiful areas to explore. The work we are doing on the house ...

This is for those of you who plan ahead. We are full until mid July, right at the start of our best fishing season and in the middle of our best weather when at least some of the time we should be cutting great timber from unwanted trees using a 26 inch/56cm bandsaw. So anyone who loves fishing, snorkelling on inshore reefs and is good at DIY or carpentry and loves the simple, quiet, rural life by the beach, next to the rainforest, this is for you 🤗. We appreciate help with DIY construction, repairs and maintenance, timber work, boat work, metal work repairs to trailers and for help with gardening, housekeeing, cooking, duck and chicken rearing and dog walking on the beach. Fishing, snorkelling, and rainforest walks can help occupy your spare time. We are looking for reasonably good DIY handymen and women, capable of working effectively, when necessary, on your own or as a pair and, ideally, someone who also has some gardening experience, but that is not really necessary, learn o...

Autonomy for everyone, especially for you and us at mealtime ... Resources are shared according to the availability of the moment. More possibilities if my children are not there, less if I have other guests ... fortuitous ... In the meantime we have no shortage of space in the garden to let you plant your tent or you lend a space... This is the minimum we can guarantee. A cabin is also available on the family sailboat ... Here too, there is work ... The room with double bed of the house is not often free for our helper sometimes the chance does things well, ask what you want, we are in French Polynesia climate is stable all year ;-) We will not ask for more than 2 or 3 hours of help a day in exchange we plan to lodge without food, although fruits from the garden are still part of the tradition of sharing the house... It's up to you to do your shopping and your dish washing and cleaning up after, the load will be in our situation not equitable otherwise.

Looking for assistance NOW and from late March through summer 26. We moved north from Vancouver to escape the noise and the craziness and to find a spot to live in beauty. We found one and now are on the edge of nothing but more nothing all 400 km to the Pacific. We are 20 km outside of a small town halfway between nowhere and not much. Sharing that is a pleasure. Nearly everything we do now is in support of one thrill: adventures in food. But rural living out here in mid-nowhere means that there are endless other things to be tasked as well: construction, gardening, maintenance of many sorts, enhancing the natural beauty around us. Chances are that if you could describe a pure-fun, physical job, there would be something here I could offer that might satisfy those urges. If you want to work hard, eat marvelous meals and have a fabulous time in the gardens, the workshop and the kitchen, come join us and get a relaxing feel of rural life. PLUS, for all you thrill seekers/amateurs des s...

We are near the Shoalwater Marine Park and Penguin Island 40mins from Perth city centre. Very close to public transport, cafes and library. Ideal for beach walking, diving, swimming, cycling, fishing, sailing and windsurfing (beach is 60 metres away). Accommodation would take form of a fully insulated cute tiny garden room with access to undercover cooking area and bathroom. IT is small so please See photos. On week days we are usually working in Perth so we cant provide meals, but a well-stocked supermarket is 200 metres away. When possible we can take turns for meals if possible. We average 2/3 hours a day painting, plumbing gardening and other repairs and can negotiate best time to do that, for example maybe it’s more convenient to do two longer days during the week.Greg is usually available to help you with your car or take you fishing, boating or sightseeing if you’re willing to free him up from his other commitments. When you email please let us know when you plan to get to Per...

Hello travellers! If you like to interrupt your travels with some physical work in an idyllic place than we would love to host you on our land and in our family! At the moment we need some help in paddock maintenance, gardening/ weeding, mulching our orchard trees, bit of a hand in painting and fire wood work, clear our wee river access and create a 'swim' hole. If anything sounds like you got experience and would like to dive into it, please get in touch! We are a family of five (only one 'child' left at home) and love living with and in nature, organic and self-sufficient lifestyle, simplicity, loving nature, being active in the outdoors and travelling. We're a truganic, biodynamic, permaculture farm in the Catskill Mountains of New York State, two hours Northwest of NYC. 24 acres with approx. 4 acres of wetlands. Approximately 5 acres under cultivation. We follow all the organic standards, and above (since organic standards are constantly being downgraded by the USDA), but are not certified organic. We DO NOT use pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, "cides" of any kind, or chemical fertilizers. We also follow biodynamic & permaculture principles. Season is April through October. We appreciate 5 hours of work per day, 6 days per week. You can choose 8 am to 1 pm, or 7 am to noon. Sundays off. Visitors help with planting, transplanting, weeding, spreading hay and wood chip mulch, hauling, fertilizing, harvesting, making biodynamic preps, building and maintaining hugelkultures, clearing of brush, stacking of wood logs, roto-tilling, taking care of chickens, building fences, pathways, ponds, compost boxes, other building projects, etc. ...

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) , please don't come if you have a heavy cold or flu, I'm involved with the elderly. Cheers Al

Our place sits high on a hill with spectacular 360 degree views of mountains, valleys, rolling hills and city lights overlooking all of Albury/Wodonga, twin cities on the Murray River. We are on the main freeway between Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney. Large luxury cedar and rock homestead on 100 acres. Lots of historic church features incorporated into the homestead and cute rustic outbuildings , antiques and artistic detail abound. Beautiful and unique large garden filled with 100+ sculptures, many paths to explore, ponds, organic vegetable and berry gardens, free range poultry and wildlife galore and many other interesting features. Lots of fun things to do and see here and everyone who has stayed has left with a happy and memorable experience. We have been a host farm for over 18 years now with well over 250 helpers having stayed. Usually it is only a one to two week stay but that is negotiable depending on how much work there is and how well we all get on. Sometimes I will accept ...

Update: we are looking for a single or couple to stay from 1st July onwards or thereabouts, we are flexible 😊 We are on an off-grid organic permaculture property on a big hill with amazing sea & rural views, along with spectacular sunrises & sunsets. We live in a 2 bedroom rammed earth house, where you would be in your own bedroom and share the facilities. We need help with gardening, looking after our toddler (2 yo), planting, weeding, construction, crazy paving, painting, cleaning & laundry (we run a small glamping business with geodesic domes also). We would be very happy to teach you what we know about Permaculture (we both have our Permaculture Design Certificate), our Food forests, gardening, composting, etc. There are surfboards here that you can borrow, and, if it's summer & there's time - I could even give you some tips with surfing too! Our toddler is a very happy chill little dude that loves going outside & to the beach. Please note that although we do offer vegetaria...

We are still searching for HelpX for the upcoming NSW school holidays from Sunday 26th June until Sunday 20th July 2026. Some of this time we plan to be away, so it would involve looking after our animals then, including our friendly dog :) I can provide HelpX exchange, nice indoor accommodation in a light filled room with a Queen bed, a weekly yoga class, English conversation and organic meals in exchange for 5 hours HelpX per day x 5 days per week. This includes a variety of tasks with 2-3 hours project work of your interest each weekday Mon - Thursday and Friday being cleaning day. Flexible timing as to when your hours are volunteered and have the weekends off to explore the beautiful area! My family moved to a riverside farm property several years ago. We live here with our rescue dog, chickens, geese, ducks and elderly cat! We are in the beginning stages of planning and implementing a small productive permaculture fruit, vegetable, tea and flower farm based upon a mix of per...

I have a house with a 0.25ha garden that is part of a larger community . We are about 10 mins drive, or an easy hitch, from Byron Bay (and all its tourist attractions); Brunswick or Mullumbimby and 2 mins from the beach. I`m always glad of help with my 1/4 ha - projects like building the vegie garden; trimming back the ever enroaching bush, or projects around the house. The arrangement is 2 hours in exchange for accommodation (14 hours a week), looking after your own food but sharing our kitchen. Gondwana, the larger community that Lotus Ponds is part of, is about 50 people with a community house and hall with weekly community dinner and meditations, yoga, table tennis & pool tables with levels of activity that depend on who is here. The people living here change more often than I update this ! But typically are inspired by some combination of Dance (5Rhythms, Open-Floor, Contact); Permaculture; Surfing; Osho; Personal Growth; Cooking; Music and Nature; in the rest of Gondwana ...

We have an automotive country workshop where we fix and service cars, 4WDs, trailers, tractors and all sorts of machinery. In our spare time we look after our little farm, some sheep, some cattle and rabbits. We also have a forest where we work and tidy up occasionally. So we are always in need of a couple of helpful hands to support us. We love to get to know different cultures and people. We grow our own meat, fruit and vegetables. Gustav also brews his own beer and makes wine and cider and lately also green tea. A mature, non-smoking, self-organized person, preferable not a vegetarian, to give us a hand with house and land, would fit best into our lifestyle. You will have to join into our daily routines: breakfast is at around 7am and then we feed all the animals, especially the hungry dogs and work starts at 8am. We need to get everyone organized before customers arrive in the workshop. We expect about 4 hours work per day and we offer a nice room with a lovely warm bed, gr...

I'm looking for someone with a sense of adventure to join me on a cross-Canada road trip from Nova Scotia to Kamsack, Saskatchewan. I'm hoping to leave sometime between the end of June and mid-July. A little about me... I'm a wheelchair user traveling with my friendly dog and three well-loved cats. I don't need personal care, just someone willing to lend a hand with the everyday things that make a long road trip easier. I do drive, so having a driver's license is a bonus, but it's not a requirement. If you enjoy driving, I'd be happy to share the wheel. If you don't drive, that's okay too—I can handle the driving. What I really need is help with loading my lightweight wheelchair, walking the dog, caring for the pets, setting up camp if needed, and the little day-to-day tasks that come with traveling across Canada. Because we're traveling with four pets, finding accommodations isn't always easy. Some places don't accept multiple pets, while others charge very high fees. If we can't fin...

We are ceramic artists who live on our 1 hectare property about 20km inland from the beautiful Doubtless Bay area. We run our pottery business from home and look after our organic gardens, small orchard and numerous chickens. We have traveled widely ourselves and hosted travelers for over 10 years with another organisation, so are interested in HelpX for both the cultural exchanges and to be able to share our lifestyle with others while getting some help around the property. We are looking for enthusiastic helpers for help with things around the property such as gardening, wood collecting, cleaning, painting, general maintenance and other tasks depending on the season. In exchange for 4 hours work a day, 5 days a week we will provide you with all meals, but ask that you join in with the preparation, and accommodation in the funky little cabin with it's own veranda.  We will be happy to include you in our lifestyle, maybe you'll be there to go Friday night fishing on our yac...

This is very much a cultural exchange (for us and for you) as you will be in our family home sharing our lifestyle. NO SMOKERS OR VEGETARIANS PLEASE. We prefer our helpers to stay 2 weeks or more. Work outside is a major part of what we do so expect to be outside on a rural property as part of the experience. Please message us through this platform to allow us to view your profile The property is located 60km South of Brisbane and 20km West of the Gold Coast on the upper North slope of Mt Tamborine, 320m above sea level.

Hi, my husband and I live in a beautiful area on a lifestyle farm with our four young kids. We are working on setting up a sustainable lifestyle and there's always something to do! We have beef cows, a milk cow, sheep, goats, chickens, a couple dogs and a producing greenhouse. Our hillside land is home to 15 sheep, 2 dogs, 2 cats, chooks, 2 ducks as well as loads of wild animals in the bush like stags, deer, pigs, goats and loads of native birds. We consider ourselves as the guardians of this piece of paradise at the moment and enjoy its closeness to nature and town, fresh spring water, clean air, indepe...
