Looking for assistance NOW and from late March through summer 26. We moved north from Vancouver to escape the noise and the craziness and to find a spot to live in beauty. We found one and now are on the edge of nothing but more nothing all 400 km to the Pacific. We are 20 km outside of a small town halfway between nowhere and not much. Sharing that is a pleasure. Nearly everything we do now is in support of one thrill: adventures in food. But rural living out here in mid-nowhere means that there are endless other things to be tasked as well: construction, gardening, maintenance of many sorts, enhancing the natural beauty around us. Chances are that if you could describe a pure-fun, physical job, there would be something here I could offer that might satisfy those urges. If you want to work hard, eat marvelous meals and have a fabulous time in the gardens, the workshop and the kitchen, come join us and get a relaxing feel of rural life. PLUS, for all you thrill seekers/amateurs des s...

Sheep are sheared so now they have their new winter outfit, they'll stay in the warmth of the barn. Sowe need some volunteers to feed the sheep and make yourself friend sheep while you clean the barn to keep it nice for them. There can be some other extra task Beggi (the farmer) can ask you to do, but still, you'll have free time to enjoy hot spots and swimming pool! You can of course text even if you're available another time of the year ! Message us on WhatsApp or on HelpX. My WhatsApp number is above. Send me (Caroline, who runs the HelpX) a message (here, on WhatsApp or Instagram caroline.lsgt). You can also message Beggi (the farmer) directly via Facebook (Alexander Flumbri), named after Beggi's cat! Profile picture is of the cat as well (Beggi doesn't have that many hair!)! Where to start? We are a family in the western part of Iceland, at the gates of the Westfjords, Beggi runs the sheep farm. We have more than 500 sheep and all possible troubles that can be connected to she...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. Please note, we cannot host anyone with any pre existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions). We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Hello all. My name is Rebekah I'm a SAHM and community dietitian. My husband Philip our babie and I live in Rochester city. I used to be a helper and loved to explore new places while making new friends, so want to offer it back. Looking for a worker who would like to keep baby and me company during the day. We love going to local u-picks in the summer and visiting parks and the farmers market, Strong museum, and the libraries. We are offering one week stays in exchange for 1-4h work per day during week days with weekends off for exploring. Work would include light housekeeping, cooking, and childcare. You would have your own bedroom and our home has wifi. We live on a bus route, so easy access if you want to explore the heart of Rochester and if you want to visit New York City between staying with us, there is a train station and bus line downtown. I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

Off-grid living, building and tourism. Form February it will be the projects again! There's plenty to do on the land, making this place even more beautiful than it already is. Tasks during the next months include: First we will be building 3 outside wood fired bath tubs on different spots. Then, Expanding the area for the donkeys. Creating a new water system for irrigation and grey water. Building building another shower and toilet block. There's some fencing work for a new vegetable garden and orchard and much more... The short periods that the weather is not favorable to be outside we'll be doing ton of finishing jobs inside. I am trying to vary the working days, so no one gets bored and to give you the chance of choosing which kind of work you prefer, so everyone feels comfortable with what he/she is doing. If you're looking to get some building or carpentry skills and you feel like committing yourself to a longer period I'm more than happy to transfer some of my skills...I l...

This is only the second school in Nagarkot, nice Nepalese village in Bhaktapur district; a 1.5 hrs bus ride from Kathmandu. It hopes to provide an English medium education for underprivileged children. The school has 7 staff members taking care of its 80+ students - aged from 4 to 12 years old - and would benefit from any help volunteers can provide. Volunteers can expect to as class helpers and also share teaching tips with the school if they can. Volunteers can also help beautify the classrooms murals to help the kids as visual aids during their school time. Becoming an independent class teacher is also an option for long-term volunteers as soon as they have a grasp on the school's curriculum and vision for students. Other jobs for volunteers include: - Writing class exercises and homework exercises for students (we have no printing/photocopying facilities) - Designing class quizzes and tests - Introducing interactive, educational games through which children can learn ...

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to routburn and greenstone tracks.you will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. ,a bit isolated, not for the precious,no trophy hunters !! .please don`t apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only.we do not get involved with internships or visa applications.vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers ! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar ( badly ) and sing ( worse ) ,but it's all about smile not style :-) Cheers Al

Looking for a lovely volunteer to join us and our animals. AVAILABILITY FROM THE BEGINNING OF MARCH. We are fully booked until then. Please contact us if you are interested in helping look after our wonderful animals. Experience with horses is useful but not necessary as long as you are happy to care for them. You will live as part of the family - during your stay, our home will be your home. We are a married couple living on a property with our DOGS, HORSES and some elderly but treasured chickens. Depending on the time of year, we also run a small scale rescue and rehabilitation centre for hedgehogs. There are stunning views looking out over a Devon Wildlife Nature Reserve and beautiful countryside. We live in a very attractive rural area of Devon on the outskirts of a beautiful old village called DOLTON (please look on "Google Earth") about a 45 minute drive from Dartmoor National Park. This 2026 season we are looking for help mostly Friday thru Monday with a focus on the farm stay and animal chores. Hi! Please read before applying, as we need specific skills, or at least the willingness to do the jobs! We will ask you how you think you may be able to help when you apply, so please read below! We are now in Winter, but spring is around the corner and there is plenty of changeable weather, but we have plenty to do here at Sensone. At the moment, we have space for someone that can help with cutting wood or at least willing to collect and stack wood from the forest, plus general garden tidy up. Any other skills would be useful, the work is on steep terraces! If you have building, landscaping or even mechanical skills, we would love to hear from you. There is a possibility for a longer stay - for the right person! The work is varied, but can be heavy at times as we do a lot of wood cutting and the land is pretty steep. This would suit someone very active and loves being outside, must be a self starter and get on with jobs on their own! Any of these skills would be useful: 1. ...

Hello everyone! My name is Bird, I was working in Chiang-Mai as a photographer for 2 years then decided to become a farmer and create a Thai traditional agriculture permaculture farm in 2018. I wish to create a relaxing place that allows people from all over the world to take their time to experience life in harmony with nature. I also have four water buffalo on our farm, named Tony, Laura, Hanna and Charlie. We are a local family with a desire to preserve our simple, sustainable way of life so that we can give back to and protect mother earth. Our farm is located in Pua city, 70km north of Nan province surrounded by the mountains and rice fields, in Northern Thailand. The farm is set on 1.5 acres of land with vegetable gardens, rice paddies, farm stay and pizza restaurant. Currently, we have done with natural buildings on the farm, including bamboo huts, fences, and wooden houses. “Life is better with a Buffalo” is our farm goal and “Happiness only real when shared “ is our motto. Would like an energetic couple or single person to help out with gardening, and housework. We would expect about 4-5 hours help a day in return for free accommodation and meals. Large bedroom and own bathroom. We have animals so, would prefer someone who enjoyed them being around. There are many wonderful places to explore in Hawkes Bay when you are not working. Fantastic cycle ways, tramping trips into the native bush areas, beaches and wonderful wineries. Prefer you to have your own car to get around and beable to see the region.

Hei, here is Monica and Mario During the pandemic our life changed radically and we are now living in the beautiful island of Skrova, most known as Lofoten's Little Hawaii!! Monica is from Portugal, 35 years old and Mario from USA (half Norwegian/Sicilian....) 34 years old. The atmosphere on the island is very relaxed and friendly! It's a small island and since we are the only cafe/restaurant, give us the oportunity to have a very strong conection with the local comunity. Volunteers that stay with us have the oportunity to meet and get close to locals and local life. We we like to go for walks, kayaking, paddle boarding, spend time in nature, eat some nice food (Mario is a great cook) and have some chats with a glass of red wine (preference under the shy Norwegian Sun ;) oh and we loooove to use the sauna!!! ;) We have various projects going on: - A little guesthouse with 15 rooms - a local cafe/restaurant, set in a beautiful 200 years old building - Our house: small tasks around ...

Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our doorstep, hiking trails through the mountains and forests, cycling paths, and skiing in the...

I speak English, some French plus a very little Chinese but we love to practice and learn new languages. Feel free to reach out if you fee...

We live in a fun share house in Maryborough, Marry Poppins Town, with awesome meals and a big edible garden. We're Mars, the owner of the property and Tracy, a former theatre/restaurant owner who's cooking the most awesome meals and looking after everyone like a mum. There're 2 adorable dogs in the family, so you must be a dog lover. We need help with building and creating, and with an awesome but overgrown garden. In addition, we're about to put 12v solar power into the rooms, also natural air-conditioning and are finishing up the spa bath in the 2nd bathroom... so there's a bit for you to learn and lots of knowledge to take home. We have had awesome experiences with travellers so far 😃. Maryborough is only 30 minutes away from Hervey Bay with beautiful beaches overlooking Frazer Island. Maryborough is a beautiful old heritage town with a lot of old buildings and parks all around. We're just a few metres away from the Mary River, at a quite place and only 1.5 km from town. There'...
