This is an exciting opportunity to have an experience that will stay with you throughout your life. Our Foundation aims at helping rural children receive a qualitative outstanding education. We have a volunteer teaching program to assist rural teachers and children get exposure to foreign languages and cultures. Because English is the second language in Thai schools, we concentrate on improving the English language skills of both rural teachers and children. At present, we aim to help 4 public elementary schools (grades 1 - 6) close to Chiang Mai. We are currently taking applications for volunteers who would available to start sometime between now and the end of June and commit to at least 8 weeks . We are looking for volunteers to teach English only. Couples are welcome as well. NOTE: We do not charge volunteers any fees for staying with us. Welcome to our homestead! We (family of four, with an 8-year-old and a 14-year-old) are currently taking a little bit of a step back from endeavoring to grow, raise and preserve as much of our own food as possible to put in more infrastructure, improve health (mom) and homeschool with more focus. However, we are still doing some of that! We have a lot going on with building, gardening, animals, home schooling, two active kids, making a living and keeping a household. Part of our farm family are 2 large outdoor dogs, three cats and 30 or so chickens. In the past we've had ducks, geese, turkeys, pigs and sheep, but they are on vacation! We live on 5 acres about 6 km outside of Duncan, on Southern Vancouver Island in the beautiful Cowichan Valley... There are so many places to swim in the ocean, lakes and rivers, bike and hiking trails, spots to picnic and enjoy. Ezra and Hanna both grew up hosting and, since starting our family, have hosted many WWOOFers and HelpXers (We're new to W...

We are the best of friends who live together and run a 24-hour restaurant in Oneonta, New York. We built our Deli with our own hands, using old rustic barn wood and other recycled materials. We love working together to serve good, wholesome food in a warm, encouraging environment — a haven from the storms of life. Our community is part of a worldwide network of communities, many of which also run restaurants, organic farms, and cottage industries where volunteers are also welcome to live and work with us. We all work together in our houses and at our Deli. There is a lot to do in maintaining a community. We have two large houses where we live and the Deli always needs constant care and attention. We enjoy having guests and volunteers who want to get to know us by living and working with us. We gather together every morning (at 7am) and evening (at 6pm) to express whatever is on our hearts. We sing a wide variety of songs we've written and we dance there to express our joy. We give...

I seek mature travellers who are travelling around the South West in their own Camper Van or Car with tent etc. Traveller/helpers need to be self contained but I provide access to clean toilet and shower facilities. I have some really nice set up camp sites here - the sites are private, clean, safe and located in beautiful natural bushland settings. If you would like to come, stay and help me here, please send me a message ! I can usually help traveller/helpers locate many other things.., like possible work services, free food services and access to various beaches etc. I like to show people how they can live on the land sustainably, how they can build their own sustainable homes and grow their own food...., using what is around them, to adapt to their environment and adopt permaculture principals to suit their own needs. I have lived on my own little permaculture farm beside the Leeuwin/Naturaliste National Park forest since 1982. I have built my own home using local granite s...

Hello everyone! My name is Bird, I was working in Chiang-Mai as a photographer for 2 years then decided to become a farmer and create a Thai traditional agriculture permaculture farm in 2018. I wish to create a relaxing place that allows people from all over the world to take their time to experience life in harmony with nature. I also have four water buffalo on our farm, named Tony, Laura, Hanna and Charlie. We are a local family with a desire to preserve our simple, sustainable way of life so that we can give back to and protect mother earth. Our farm is located in Pua city, 70km north of Nan province surrounded by the mountains and rice fields, in Northern Thailand. The farm is set on 1.5 acres of land with vegetable gardens, rice paddies, farm stay and pizza restaurant. Currently, we have done with natural buildings on the farm, including bamboo huts, fences, and wooden houses. “Life is better with a Buffalo” is our farm goal and “Happiness only real when shared “ is our motto. I am working on an exciting project to restore an old retreat lodge on beautiful Mount Rokko in Kobe, Japan. My dream is to transform this building into a cozy guesthouse and community space where travelers, hikers, artists, musicians, and nature lovers can gather and enjoy the mountain lifestyle. The property is surrounded by forests, hiking trails, fresh mountain air, and some of the most famous night views in Japan. I am looking for friendly volunteers who would like to be part of this adventure. Help Needed: There are many different ways you can help: * Cleaning and organizing the building * Gardening and grass cutting * DIY renovation projects * Painting and decorating * Building and improving outdoor spaces * Creating a BBQ area * Furniture assembly * Preparing the property for future guests. If you have skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, construction, or general DIY, that would be fantastic. However, enthusiasm and a positive attitude are much more important tha...

Peaceful Off-Grid Living Near Abel Tasman National Park I live on a beautiful off-grid property in Marahau, just 2 km from the entrance to Abel Tasman National Park. Surrounded by native bush, birdsong, fruit trees and gardens, it is a peaceful place that suits people who enjoy nature, simplicity and a slower pace of life. I work as an acupuncturist and also teach Qigong. I value a grounded, practical way of living and appreciate the peace and beauty of this place. The accommodation is separate from the main house, allowing a good level of independence and privacy. We may occasionally share a meal or a chat if it feels natural, but there is no expectation around this. Marahau is very quiet during the winter months and is a wonderful time to enjoy the national park without the crowds of summer. There are great opportunities for walking, kayaking, swimming and exploring the coastline. The Help I am looking for practical, capable people who enjoy working outdoors and are comfortable...

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) , please don't come if you have a heavy cold or flu, I'm involved with the elderly. Cheers Al

Hi travellers, welcome to NZ! I found out about helpx from travellers overseas and thought I would try it. We live on a sheep and beef farm 35 minutes east of Masterton, 15 minutes from Riversdale beach and 25 minutes from Castlepoint beach. I live with my wife Mel and daughters Kenzie (4yrs ) and Emmie (2yrs). We are looking for 2 people; one to help collect eggs on the farm (or both people sometimes) and the other to help watch our daughters, on some days :) You will have your own room, food supplied, Internet and washing machine. We can pick you up from Masterton. I have travelled a lot and enjoy meeting new people. I think a travelling experience is most enjoyable when a local shows you the local sites, cultures and attractions. I have had many friends, who I have met overseas, visit me and I enjoy being host and enhancing their NZ experience. And when I visit them they do the same for me. Alex, Mel, Kenzie & Emmie

Hello! Welcome to our Farm!! Our farm sits on a beautiful piece of land with a variety of very sweet animals, we know we are so lucky to have what we have and decided to share our treasures with everyone. Our goal is to make a difference to the earth we live on, the people we interact with and the animals we share this planet with. We open our farm to the public in the summer to share our beautiful property and all our animals. We have a variety of tasks around the farm from daily animal care to building projects and everything in between, there will always be something that suits your talents! And if you think you have none (talents) don’t worry, we will dig them out of you! We want you to come to our farm as guests wanting to help with our cause of creating a place that helps people reconnect with animals and nature. Our belief is that one small act of kindness is one step closer to creating a happier planet :-) Shane:) We are looking for help with: - Daily chores which includes fe...

Countryside, near Atlántida, Uruguay. We’re a mature couple who work in the city and live on a small farm - a peaceful retreat from the urban rush. Our companions are a few horses and dogs. Most of them came to us from the rescued shelter and in poor condition. With time, care, and patience, we’ve helped them heal. Our farm isn’t a commercial venture; it’s simply a quiet, cozy place to live close to nature. We’re looking for a reliable helper - someone who’s interested in staying with us long-term. What we offer: - Private accommodation in a converted sea container, fully equipped with a gas stove, shower, refrigerator, and other essentials. - Groceries provided - you prepare your own meals. - Free internet access (limited). We can also offer guidance and support with the residency application process for those who wish to stay long-term. If you’re over 25, love animals, enjoy farm life, and consider yourself hardworking, responsible, and adaptable - we’d be happy to welcome you. ...

Autonomy for everyone, especially for you and us at mealtime ... Resources are shared according to the availability of the moment. More possibilities if my children are not there, less if I have other guests ... fortuitous ... In the meantime we have no shortage of space in the garden to let you plant your tent or you lend a space... This is the minimum we can guarantee. A cabin is also available on the family sailboat ... Here too, there is work ... The room with double bed of the house is not often free for our helper sometimes the chance does things well, ask what you want, we are in French Polynesia climate is stable all year ;-) We will not ask for more than 2 or 3 hours of help a day in exchange we plan to lodge without food, although fruits from the garden are still part of the tradition of sharing the house... It's up to you to do your shopping and your dish washing and cleaning up after, the load will be in our situation not equitable otherwise.

The bus runs at the bottom of the hill every 20 mins, but the schedule is best checked on the app. Just $2 .50 with a orbus card. The room is small, with two bunk beds, a desk, with wi fi, and chrome cast tv. Our position is for all areas of house keeping at a professional level. We run a B&B, meeting place, and pop up cafe on occasions. The work is physical and fast paced. It is a sole position. Previous experience is preferred. A month is best for us, and longer if it works well. We are not looking for help at this stage till later in June. As we are now closed for one month. So from 8 am to 1 pm, in exchange for breakfast lunch and evening meal. You have a small room with desk, chrome cast screen, a set of bunks. I cannot cater for dietary needs sorry. And This is sole charge position. So a good level of fitness and be able to self direct are important.

We have availability to help Marcus with his native tree propagation onsite for one week from 15-22nd June and 14-21st August. Looking for those who appreciate 4hrs of daily work alongside us as a fair exchange for wholesome meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner provided + seasonal fruit), your own private space, satellite Wi-fi and access to beautiful, private, natural surroundings with lots of native wildlife like wallabies and pademelons. In your free time, volunteers can go swimming, enjoy many of the hikes on and around our property (plus we adjoin 8,000ha/20,000ac of National Park) and meet/spend time with our animals, read , meditate, do yoga/fitness, satellite wifi, bird watching, platypus watching...etc. We have a lot of info on our page, mainly so we get the right people applying to volunteer here. The work is usually physical (ie no cute animal feeding - that`s in your free time if you express an interest to Claire), but we offer a very fair exchange for those motivated to...

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

This is ideal for people who would enjoy the social and cultural buzz of the city within easy walking distance, while also being close to two charming harbour beaches and some great walks. It’s a good arrangement if you value your own private space whenever you want it, but also enjoy a stimulating environment. Our comfortable inner city 117year old Victorian villa is a two minute walk to Ponsonby Road. Accommodation is self-contained, and our HelpXers have invariably found it to be an ideal set-up (see guest room photos). You have your own separate entrance, private garden balcony, one bed ( a generous double) , kitchenette with microwave, hot plate, toaster and small fridge, dining table/desk, laundry machine and spacious ensuite bathroom/toilet. Free wi-fi (within reason!) Because we’re on an unusually wide section for a city house, we've developed the outdoor space into various "rooms", including an organic vege/herb garden and a viewing platform in one of our higher trees (...

(La description en français se trouve plus bas !) We are a small Buddhist community living in the forest close to Sainte-Julienne, Quebec. We have an organic fruit tree nursery, along with many other projects on our land: several fruit orchards, chickens and bees, growing our own vegetables and herbs and trying to be independent in many ways. The six people who are staying are: Ajan, Eric, Veronique, Elisabeth, Natalie and Camille. Each of us have arrived here one by one, at first just interested in helping out in the place, and then as we found that this lifestyle was for us, deciding to stay for longer. For part of the year we also have a couple of employees staying with us. There is also a wonderful dog named Dali. Our organic nursery and garden occupies a land of 9 hectares, surrounded by forest. As well as the main land of the nursery, we have another smaller land where a few of us live. This is, in fact, where the community started to grow from very small beginnings in the ear...

Our property is a lifestyle block nestled into a very picturesque valley near the Kaweka Mountain range, approximately 50 km from both Hastings and Napier. Our land includes a home orchard, large garden full of bird song and the remaining acres for grazing for our 9 horses, small herd of miniature Galloway cattle, 10 sheep, 1 donkey, ducks, chooks, guinea fowl and pheasants. We also have a very friendly and energetic dog Merlot and a large black cat called Nalo. The help we need is mostly outdoors, but there are always indoor options in wet weather. We would expect 4 - 6 hours help per day for free board and all meals. We are totally flexible on the hours, 8 hours one day for the next day off is fine. Given we are out of town sightseeing on a day off is an option. Having your own transport is not 'a must', we are often in and out of both Hastings and Napier, but it will give you independence and more options for exploring in your free time. You will not need specific experience or ...

This is an exciting opportunity to have an experience that will stay with you throughout your life. Our Foundation aims at helping rural children receive a qualitative outstanding education.

We’re a friendly, easy-going household located close to Tauranga City and Mount Maunganui, with beaches, cafes and shops all within easy reach. In exchange for food and accommodation, we’re looking for around 20 hours of help per week. The opportunity is available for approximately 5–6 weeks, although we’re also happy to consider shorter stays.

Our farm sits on a beautiful piece of land with a variety of very sweet animals, we know we are so lucky to have what we have and decided to share our treasures with everyone.

Currently we know a builder who needs a carpenter and can start work straight away if you stay at the Fox. Plus there are quite a few cafe jobs and bar jobs in town. We are looking for happy helpers around our Hostel. Duties include checking people in, cleaning, making beds, vacuuming, bathrooms, putting out breakfast booking people in and generally being a social and engaging person with our guests. There is breakfast included, and internet and wifi as well as tea and coffee. A BBQ once per week and pasta nights all free for our helpxers. We provide you with a food allowance of $80 each person each week. All accommodation is either in a female or mixed dorm or for the more intrepid one of our tents with bedding provided. Looking for a lovely volunteer(s) to join us and our animals. AVAILABILITY FROM the 4th August. We are fully booked until the 3rd August. Please contact us if you are interested in helping look after our wonderful animals. Experience with horses is useful but not necessary as long as you are happy to care for them. Depending on the time of year, we also run a small scale rescue and rehabilitation centre for hedgehogs. There are stunning views looking out over a Devon Wildlife Nature Reserve and beautiful countryside.
