Hi everybody, I'm Carl. I own and manage a hobby farm, airbnb and camping area. We have commenced preliminary works for the next few projects; a campground, amenities block, community kitchen area, individual campsites and eventually a natural swimming pool/pond. All natural or recycles materials, natural building methods. I'm currently looking for someone/people to help with yard maintenance and landscaping for about 4 hours a day in exchange for food and accommodation; open to negotiation. This is a 3 acre hobby farm and it's a place to work and learn and have fun. At the moment I can accommodate 2 people in a self contained caravan which is already set up on site with a bush bathroom and shower. Or you can camp on site. It's time to do some gardening, planting and weeding. I also need someone to do general day to day stuff, like cleaning, feeding the animals, etc. And I need people with building skills and/or want to learn building skills, there's a job for everyone, dependin...

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON. Need help with a garden clean up, at the moment. You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one rough headed, skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town. It is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay, 2 hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around. There is a mountain on my farm with lots of t...

We breed and raise dwarf goats and chickens and ducks. We are a 162 acre farm, next to the Puketi Forest near Kerikeri. We have hills, streams & ponds and are centrally located for sight seeing. Your own suite with toilet and shower, kitchenette with fridge, microwave and kettle etc. 25 mins to Kerikeri, Bay of Islands. We ask for 5 hours work a day for accommodation and food. We have good and plentiful food here, as I am a chef! Chores focus on the farm, the land, goats, projects, weeding and fence clearing. Also can include planting, landscaping and painting and work on my new pottery studio build-out, and many more, depending on your skills. Also, we have projects to get stuck into, that vary on the time of year. We can collect you from the bus stop or Kerikeri Airport. We usually have other young helpers also.. ** Note: We do Farm Stay also, that is like Air BNB for people who want to get out of the town and experience a NZ farm lifestyle. Thanks Julia

Aloha and welcome to my Hawaiian-owned and operated farmstay, a small, homesteading project rooted in Native Hawaiian values, sustainability, and a true farm-to-table way of life. My goal is to grow, harvest, and share food directly from the ʻāina, providing nourishment for ourselves and our La Hui. while learning how to live simply, mindfully, and in harmony with the land. Situated on one acre on the east side of Hawaii. This māla produces tropical fruits, heirloom vegetables, and fresh eggs, all cultivated with care, presence, and respect for indigenous land stewardship practices. Helpers are invited to participate in planting, tending, harvesting, and preparing meals together, gaining hands-on knowledge of self-sufficiency, food sovereignty, and sustainable living. This is not a tourist experience, but a cultural exchange centered on healing through food, community, and Mālama i ke ʻĀina—caring for the land so it may care for us in return.

Hi there Traveler We offer a farm stay with great views and good conversation. We chopped down a pine forest and replanted with Manuka about 4 years ago so it’s starting to look really great, and more native birds are about. Established a wetland reserve as well. Also we are developing another small retreat area that needs assistance with tracks and tree management. Some stock work is all so on offer but we will work with you all the time as it’s safer and more fun. cheers and safe travels Geoff and Declan

hello, I prefer requests that are for the near future, I don't like to plan too far ahead. This is an organic farm on a sheltered inlet, with horses, sheep, chickens, orchards, & gardens.. Needing help with keeping the grounds beautiful, repairs, building projects, harvesting, weeding, pruning, planting, and animal care. Near a busy village, bicycles offered, canoes, there are buses to take you around the island, hiking, swimming, artisans, markets. Sunsets are wonderful. The seaside jewel cabin is located in a private seaside spot with a bathhouse and kitchen nearby. The exchange is ideally for 2 people to volunteer 1.5 hrs. per day without food supplied. The work involves cleaning up after the horses or sheep (scooping poop) in the barn or on the grounds, then various projects for the balance of 1.5 hrs. You can get a part time job on Saltspring as many jobs are available. This island is very popular with the biggest problem being lack of accommodation, so helping at the farm gives ...

My property is 15kms from Coffs Harbour and 1km for the village of Coramba on the mid north coast of New South Wales. I am situated in an excellent spot as you travel up or down the east coast of Australia. Having been an exchange student myself (100 years ago...lol) I appreciate the benefits of a cultural exchange. I am looking for a few hours help per day/week with housekeeping and gardening/yard work in return for excellent private self contained and self catering accommodation in my 2 bedroom unit.(Downstairs portion of my home.) Wifi available at no cost. I just ask that you be respectful of data usage. I am also very interested in obtaining help with social media promoting my businesses. Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . Would like an energetic couple or single person to help out with gardening, and housework. We would expect about 4-5 hours help a day in return for free accommodation and meals. Large bedroom and own bathroom. We have animals so, would prefer someone who enjoyed them being around. There are many wonderful places to explore in Hawkes Bay when you are not working. Fantastic cycle ways, tramping trips into the native bush areas, beaches and wonderful wineries. Prefer you to have your own car to get around and beable to see the region.

Looking for assistance NOW and from late March through summer 26. We moved north from Vancouver to escape the noise and the craziness and to find a spot to live in beauty. We found one and now are on the edge of nothing but more nothing all 400 km to the Pacific. We are 20 km outside of a small town halfway between nowhere and not much. Sharing that is a pleasure. Nearly everything we do now is in support of one thrill: adventures in food. But rural living out here in mid-nowhere means that there are endless other things to be tasked as well: construction, gardening, maintenance of many sorts, enhancing the natural beauty around us. Chances are that if you could describe a pure-fun, physical job, there would be something here I could offer that might satisfy those urges. If you want to work hard, eat marvelous meals and have a fabulous time in the gardens, the workshop and the kitchen, come join us and get a relaxing feel of rural life. PLUS, for all you thrill seekers/amateurs des s...

Hi there travellers! I'm looking for someone to do some painting, weeding, other gardening and other mostly outside work. There's a couple of leaks in my irrigation I have yet to find. There's always lots to do. If you are a couple, or two couples even - you are welcome to buy and cook your own food and set your own pace around exploring/helping out in the garden. Hello. I am Laura and I live with my sweet 16-year-old dog, Honey. We live on a gorgeous 2/3-acre property near Castlemaine in rural Victoria. It's a big home with a solar system providing most of our power (in summer!), a large shed/workshop and a swimming pool. Another person will be moving here in the next few months. There are magnificent tall gum trees nearby and lots of bird life, which makes for a very peaceful rural vibe. It does not feel suburban here. There are some lovely little bushwalks right near my house. I work from home as a freelance editor and I love swimming in the pool year round. I have a studio which I use as a home office and art studio. I am offering accommodation with 2 x evening meals provided per week, in exchange for 15 hours of work per week. I am looking for help mainly in the garden (weeding, planting, mulching, helping set up wicking beds, etc) and possibly a few household chores (especially if weather rainy). If anyone has the skills to do some pavin...

After 16 years, and hosting almost 100 HelpXers, at our property in Larnook, in the Northern Rivers region, Steve and I have moved to a new place in Tenterfield, at the northern end of the New England Tableland. All of our reviews up until September 2024, are related to our previous place. We are now ready to accept HelpXers at our new place. Steve and I are a gay couple and we offer a high quality experience (as you can see from our reviews) and so we expect our Helpers to pitch in and help. The more you put into your time here at Tenterfield, the more you will get out of it. We have lots of small work jobs at present including lots of weeding and gardening, mowing, establishing herb and vege gardens, pruning and cutting back and some other work. Our property is situated a few kilometers west of the town of Tenterfield, in a quiet, rural area. We usually expect around 4 hours per day of work in exchange for all meals, your own room, access to internet (for checking emails, looki...

Countryside, near Atlántida, Uruguay. We’re a mature couple who work in the city and live on a small farm - a peaceful retreat from the urban rush. Our companions are a few horses and dogs. Most of them came to us from the rescued shelter and in poor condition. With time, care, and patience, we’ve helped them heal. Our farm isn’t a commercial venture; it’s simply a quiet, cozy place to live close to nature. We’re looking for a reliable helper - someone who’s interested in staying with us long-term. What we offer: - Private accommodation in a converted sea container, fully equipped with a gas stove, shower, refrigerator, and other essentials. - Groceries provided - you prepare your own meals. - Free internet access (limited). We can also offer guidance and support with the residency application process for those who wish to stay long-term. If you’re over 25, love animals, enjoy farm life, and consider yourself hardworking, responsible, and adaptable - we’d be happy to welcome you. ...

We are looking for two practical people for a week or two from 14th May to 3rd June to do a variety of tasks - laying weedmat, sorting storage containers, gardening, preparing for some planting, weedeating if you have skills etc. We don't currently have airbnb guests so you would get to stay in the luxury airbnb unless we get a booking, then you would either sleep in a sofa bed in the cabin or if you prefer your van and just use our shared spaces.

Working hours are very negotiable so you are able to take advantage of the beautiful district and do some sightseeing, working elsewhere to help obtain your " 88 working days" requirement, and mixing with the locals etc. I have a little bit of Japanese language skill .....sukoshi dekim...

Spring May 5, 2026 - opening and for the month of MAY :) Wow, exploring right outside our backdoor along side the Campbell River on Vancouver Island, is a beautiful place to experience Vancouver Island`s great outdoors this SPRING with all the wild life right in our back yard :) Although we live on a one acre town lot, our back yard is situated on a cliff over looking an accessible beautiful heritage river, with a nature park setting of ferns, Douglas fir, maple and alder trees. You can often see deer, raccoons, bears and the silver backs of salmon and Steelhead fish jumping in the ebb and flow of the river’s pools. We have trail access to the river below, where you can enjoy listening to the sing song of many birds, tubing down the river/swimming in the heat of the summer, and trying your hand at casting for Steelhead fish. As well, our neighborhood is the access point to many scenic nature hiking, walking and biking trails. The ocean photo was taken a couple of miles from my home a...

If you are travelling alone and prefer company you will be welcome to eat with us, and I am happy to set an extra place at the table. It will be expected that you spend more time hanging out with me in my garden! While you are here, whoever you are, you will be welcome to participate in our daily life, to learn about how Kiwis live. We have a large property with many apple trees, almond and peach trees, apricot and plum trees, plus lots of gardens. Also a lovely fire pit to enjoy a late night chat around. We have a warm, comfortable place for you to stay. It is very private, well equipped and has pretty good wifi. ...

If you’re over 25, love animals, enjoy farm life, and consider yourself hardworking, responsible, and adaptable - we’d be happy to welcome you. ...

Looking for a lovely volunteer to join us and our animals. AVAILABILITY FROM the middle of May. Please contact us if you are interested in helping look after our wonderful animals. Experience with horses is useful but not necessary as long as you are happy to care for them. You will live as part of the family - during your stay, our home will be your home. We are a married couple living on a property with our DOGS, HORSES and some elderly but treasured chickens. Depending on the time of year, we also run a small scale rescue and rehabilitation centre for hedgehogs. There are stunning views looking out over a Devon Wildlife Nature Reserve and beautiful countryside. We live in a very attractive rural area of Devon on the outskirts of a beautiful old village called DOLTON (please look on "Google Earth") about a 45 minute drive from Dartmoor National Park. The village has a very friendly and active community, a church, 2 excellent traditional pubs, a post office and a small shop AND ex...

We love hosting travellers and enjoy also getting jobs done on our list. With having 10 acres to care for, there is always something to do. We will give you food and accommodation in exchange for 4 hours of work. We love having first time helpers and help you map out your journey in the north or just help you get used to being in NZ. Chris loves playing games and we also have a hot tub. Most of the time we have a beautiful black Labrador called Kenai. We also have a pool and a hot tub in the bush. We are located just over an hour...
