We are an off the grid wilderness fishing lodge located on Kodiak Island, in Alaska. Access is via a 20 minute flight from the City of Kodiak in the lodge's floatplane. I just retired from a career of Process Instrument Work at the local power plant. Hi! I'm Tonje and I moved to my farm in 2020. And there's always a lot to do here. This small farm is in a very small town, by the fjord in Hardanger. Its a good place for hiking and culture. The area is quiet and scenic. The closest cities are Odda and Bergen. The bosses of the house are 4 dogs and 3 cats. Right now I don't have any farm animals of my own. But the neighbor's sheep live here too. I would have been very grateful for various help on my small farm. The work can be very varied. But I need help with maintenance of the outdoor area, wood working, chopping firewood and snow shoveling. We bought an old farm stable in ruins (dry stone building) inside a very small village and a few hectares of old chestnuts forest next to it. Kia Ora. I run an Angora goat farm just outside Oxford in North Canterbury. I have 180 very cute goats which I shear for fibre twice per year. I also farm sheep and cattle. I farm in a sustainable way and have been trialling some regenerative agricultural practices. I am looking for helpers starting now until 7th August 2026 and then again from the end of August. Jobs include farm work, gardening, housekeeping, servicing and cleaning my AirBnB and learning about our farming systems.
