We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. Please note, we cannot host anyone with any pre existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions). We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our doorstep, hiking trails through the mountains and forests, cycling paths, and skiing in the...

Hey, hello you ! We are Caro and Chris, Zion and Kiara. We were travelling around the world since a gorgeous time until all this virus craziness happened. Caro, then Chris & Caro were backpacking, doing hitchhiking, etc... The beautiful wildlife. Then kids arrived in 2017 and 2019 so we mainly stayed travelling in Europe by van until they will be able to carry a little backpack ;) When the virus arrived, we were crossing Sweden. Everything became complicated with borders, shops and people so we decided to enjoy the strange time to build our home. We bought an over 300 years old stone house on a big peace of land which were abandoned and this new adventure started. Bretagne is a nice place full of culture, traditions, nice villages, forest and legends and history, and surrounded by the sea. After being helpers ourselves, we now want to be hosts too. We loved it so we expect people love it here too. Our kids are homeschooling with mainly their mother and we would be happy to have Eng...

Greetings Weary Travellers! I WOULD PREFER HELPERS WHO ARE 25 TO 40 YEARS OLD, PERHAPS, BUT NOT NECESSARILY, WITH SKILLS IN CONSTRUCTION, ELECTRICAL OR ABLE TO HANDLE GAS POWERED EQUIPMENT FOR GARDENING. We are situated on 22 acres with spectacular views of the countryside-just one hour north of Toronto by car and accessible by GO train or GO bus to Orangeville where I can pick you up. There are three bedrooms available to helpers decorated as India, the Mediterranean or the Commonwealth, with two single beds in each (or king size bed) and great views. Each room has indoor and outdoor access. There is a lower room leading to the garden just for helpers to read, view videos and play games. Laundry available as well. Hey Helpexers! Welcome to a beautiful village in southwest Bulgaria! There is amazing nature around, horses, dogs, cats, wildlife, and some pretty cool people too. I'm seeking one or two helpers who are experienced with animals, gardens and DIY. There is comfortable and cosy accommodation and delicious vegetarian food provided in exchange for 4/5 hours help per day Monday to Friday. There are many interesting places to visit and enjoyable things to do in the area - including the culturally rich city of Plovdiv (1 hr), mountain hikes, lakes and caves, ancient Thracian ruins, forest trails and Greek beaches (2 hrs). I'm a native English speaker and teacher, so I'm happy to help with your English language skills. I have a lot of experience in many fields which I will gladly share depending on your interests. I'm vegetarian, I like to live in the now and I have an ethos of fundamental trust. I love nature and animals, witty humour, and inspiring conversations. The practical skills needed ...

I can't see the world, but the world can come see me. First and foremost, I want to thank all the helpers who came from United Kingdom-England, France, Belgium, Italy, China, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. Welcome Helpers. We are a family of 5 living in the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia. Sue is the founder of Peaceful Hollow. Her daughter Ruth moved to the Hollow later as well as her husband Tim and their 2 daughters. Our hollow is quite with no neighbors in sight. There are no city lights, and you can see every star on a clear night! Our homestead consists of Sue, Tim & Ruth's cabins and one very small guest cabin. Also, there is a private guestroom with private entrance on the second floor above the workshop/cabin combination. . We have a lot you can be involved in, knowledge to share, friendships to build, and opportunities for growth. Below are our routines and some projects. We would love to involve you! - Caring for our chickens, cats, dogs, one registered ...

Our olive hill farm is in Provence, 95 acres of Mediterranean olive groves and woodland. We also have a self-catering holiday Gite (an apartment) and we are only 24km from Mediterranean beaches on the Cote d Azur. In fact, you can see the sea in the distance from the olive groves and from the little cabanon near the house which is where helpers stay! The farmhouse is at the top of a secluded valley backed by a dramatic circle of cliffs in the form of a horseshoe which protects it from the Mistral winds, and we are only 2km from the village which you can see down in the valley. The views are amazing... And behind the house there are 3,000 ha of national forestry with walks in an unspoiled and protected natural environment full of wildlife: wild boar, roe deer, foxes, martens, buzzards, hawks and several eagles among all the other lesser species. OLIVE HARVEST (mid Oct - mid Dec) is the most important time of year for us. It is the result of a years work and we put all our energy into...

Help us with renovating our house, orchard and vegetable garden! We (man, woman, 54 and 55 years old) have just bought a Spanish farm with an mandarin yard which we want to convert to a food forest (syntropic farming). Besides that, we want to convert some stables to living space, as well as the old house. We are experienced in building works, DIY, technical projects. It is such a great project, our new future, but we just have 4 hands ... ;) We hope to welcome international helper guests to give us a hand. We love to learn about other cultures, languages and have welcomed already many internationals in our former life in The Netherlands. Now we are continuing that in our new project in Spain. My husband is a technician and I am a orthomolecular nutrition therapist. We normally eat a healthy meal with meat/poultry/fish and vegetables. Strictly no smoking or drugs, only moderate use of alcohol. We would love to get help with our day to day DIY activities. Also, we would love to g...

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

We are both retired and live in a converted barn in about two acres of land. The nearest town is Villefranche de Rouergue which is ten kilometres away. We have lived in France long enough to appreciate what we call proper food so. we strive to vary the diet so that no main meal is repeated for at least 14 days (unless specially requested) It may be French, it may be British, or it may be a mixture of French and British and on occasions you will taste the local delicacies We are very flexible about working hours all we ask is that in return for five hours work per day, five days a week, at a time to suit yourself, we will provide you with good healthy tasty food and a private comfortable room which has TV and en-suite facilities, If you are a couple who wish complete privacy, we could provide you with a separate self-contained apartment. Must be non-smoker and we find that feeding vegans is difficult. Please note. If you want to practice your English, then we are your ideal hosts a...

So if you are self motivated and planning ahead, send us a message and we will get back to you. We are in the countryside, a bus passes our gate 3 times a day. There are a few bicycles to borrow. Lovely walks through the Woods. Take a day trip to see Cliffs of Moher, visit Galway. Listen to Irish music in one of our local pubs. WE ARE CURRENTLY RESTRUCTURING THE ALLOTMENT AND NEED HELP WITH LIFTING AND MOVING PAVING We've been part of Helpx for several years now and have met some wonderful people, many of whom we still keep in touch with. We live in York, in the north of England, where we have a garden and (a 10 minute walk away) an allotment where we grow fruit and vegetables. We try to cultivate using the `no-dig` method and like to re-use and recycle wherever possible. Our house has solar panels on the roof for hot water and electricity, as we are keen to reduce our impact on the environment. The work includes turning and spreading compost, making new beds and paths, weeding, seed sowing, planting out, grass cutting and fence painting. From early summer, fruit and vegetables are ready to be harvested and prepared for freezing and conserving. If the weather is bad then there are always jobs to get on with in the house, garage and greenhouse. We can offer all meals, laundry and accommodation, (own ba...

Hi there everyone, I am Mark and we are looking for people to help with our on-going farm project (based on a permaculture ideas): Working on our water system, in the fields and garden, fruit trees, looking after the sheep, ducks and chickens, our on going alternative energy source, and now just starting on the communal and private spaces that are to be rebuilt. etc...... We also work at local events with lights, electrics, compost toilet rentals and generally helping out, from the local may-poll dance to concerts and working in the theatre. The Key Word the Discribes the Farm is "Autonomy" (i feel that autonomous people can come together to create community) We are all individual cells in a greater growing expanding living organism called humanity, that is slowly coming to recognise itself as a whole and no longer separate and alone. Please note: for high maintenance people this is not for you. Be prepared for OFF-GRID in nature experience ! A Quick Note: The shower...

We live in a nature sanctuary on Corfu island in Greece. we are a COMMUNITY of PLANTS, ANIMALS AND HUMAN BEINGS, who try to live together IN THE SPIRIT OF NATURE. we are organized similar to a zen monastery. yet we are not affiliated to any religious body, but to the holy body of our mother earth. the earth takes care of us. the earth gives to us what we need. she gives us and she for-gives us – she never asks for money… we admire the communities in nature (ecosystems), where all members balance their needs and gifts in a healthy way, without money, without machines and without chemicals. here in NATURE’S SANCTUARY we try to live in harmony with nature. we try to support and protect all our nature brothers and sisters, who share this sanctuary with us… it is a CHALLENGE TO LIVE IN HARMONY WITH NATURE. it is a challenge to protect and support all nature beings in a way, that they have the chance to live in their own natural born communities. we are looking for people, who want to take...

Activities maybe basic veggie garden things, painting, feeding cattle, filling water containers of dogs, whatever comes up on a farm that is of interest. We are a small-scale, organic vegetable farm in Palmer, Alaska. We grow an array of beautiful produce which includes carrots, tomatoes, strawberries, zucchini, brussel sprouts, romanesco, broccoli, potatoes, rhubarb, onions, beets, and many more. All of the vegetables we sell at local farmers markets are grown by us and are free of pesticides, GMOs, and chemicals. We not only believe that people should feel connected to their food, but we also feel that it should be delicious, healthy, and accessible. Work on the farm varies by season. In the Spring we spend our time prepping the field, sewing seeds, growing transplants, cultivating those seeds in the field, weeding, and watering. As we move into summer and fall helpers will have the opportunity to harvest and sell the fruits and vegetables that have been growing the past few months at the local farmers’ markets.

Hola! My name is Susana. I’ve returned to HelpX because I’d love some help caring for my dog while I’m away, as well as painting and general projects around the land. There may also be the possibility to borrow my car for reliable drivers. I live in a beautiful quiet valley in the Alpujarras of Southern Spain, beside the Guadalfeo River. peaceful and rural, yet only a 20 minute drive from the quirky alternative town of Órgiva. La Catitera is a small farm with nine hectares of land, olives, walnuts, citrus trees, riverside areas and a growing syntropic garden. A small collective of friends live here, often transient, with people coming and going, some in caravans and some in another house on the land. The large farmhouse is usually used as a retreat house and yoga B&B in spring and summer. It’s a very special place, an old Andalusian farmhouse with thick walls, natural surroundings and a calm atmosphere. Simple but truly beautiful, and many people never want to leave Our intention ...

Now a picture perfect bunkie for 2 or 3 is available, thanks to the hard work of helpers. Most recently, we have added a small private ZEN room for peace or meditation. There is an indoor salt water pool (available late June to October), pool table, archery, basketball,...

A room is available for your homestay. Because of the help I would like to ask, mature ladies who have enough experience/knowledge of handling house holding chores and cooking are welcome. No problem if you cannot cook Japanese dishes. Vegetarian is welcome only from summer to autumn. It's easy to talk about next step of your homestay if how long from when, how you can help, what you want to do during homestay in addition to help works are written in your request. I will reply to only applicants who read my profile and understand/satisfy requirements. I'm a 67 years old male living alone and have a small private organic vegetable garden. I am happy if someone can help me to maintain vegetable garden and household chores including cooking. I also can enjoy helping my guest to learn Japanese language. We can visit at sightseeing places/aesthetic landscape when we have free time. At the same time, I'm interested to hear your stories about helpx and learn foreign languages as well ...
