Hi everyone, I'm Dominique, I'm happy to welcome you to my village house in Normandy. We are less than 100m away from the sea (but with no sea view) and the local fishing village. In the area of the D Day landings of June 6th 1944. Close to "La Point du Hoc" and Omaha Beach. We have a vegetable garden. Help is needed all year long with all manner of things to be done. We have a garden where we want to grow as many vegetables as we can. I can teach you how to make jam, how to preserve fruit and vegetables. You will share our meals and have your room in the house. I speak French and English. Internet access. Helpers are welcome to maintain the garden and enjoy the local area.

*** Visitors stay a 'minimum of 1 week', which can be extended, to 2-4 weeks, if everyone is happy :) *** * Critical thinkers and creative individuals are particularly welcome here. We take immense pleasure in working alongside 'Open Minds', who hold contemporary planetary and social concerns, and seek to rise their consciousness as 'individuals'. Individuals who have independently studied, subjects such as Transhumanism, Mass formation, and the Psychology of Totalitarianism, would benefit from their experience here. Side by side, with daily physical tasks, this would ensure clear thinking individuals', full appreciation of our practice, and would bring more meaning, peace and happiness into their lives. At this moment (March 2026), there's an emphasis on 'lifting Brambles', :) , digging them up from the root, in areas where they have multiplied and taken over. However, there are still plenty of other tasks, to keep things interesting for the visitor. *WOODLAND CLEARANCE WORK, ...

MOST URGENT NEEDS: -Someone who KNOWS land, soil, water as we are looking to acquire land in California to get things started! -Organizing many old things in the house we are in in San Francisco If you are a traveller, musician, community-orientated...this could also be a great place for you I am a chef and musician, that's been traveling pretty much non-stop since I started....After 15 years of traveling, living in many refugee projects, squats, intentional communities, collectives, cooking for many community kitchens, staying in many farms and seeing what it is possible in this world....I have seen many things I have loved and many things that didn't quite work in my opinion...now I have a unique opportunity to start a community based on learning, sharing and helping each other (especially those that may not normally have access to such a privileged life-style) grow and learn through workshops and communal happenings. Right now I am in the extreme beginnings. I am looking for lan...

Namaste! Thank you for stopping by. :-) I hope you will join me on my journey for a month, 2 months, or long-term. I have a pair of picturesque, riverfront hobby farms, each with a large 4-bedroom house. In time, want to transition the farms to more of a communal space. There are three acres of wild blueberries that I am currently converingt to organic production, six acres of pasture, and about eight acres of woods that provide more than enough firewood to heat both homes without having to clear-cut any areas. I have a small herd of alpacas and an even smaller flock of chickens, whom I allow to free range. We harvest a small portion of our food from the property, and my vision is to increase that slowly and steadily every year. For a long-term (and possibly lifetime) stay, I would particularly interested in these 3 individuals: 1. Someone to manage the livestock, including monthly shots for the alpacas 2. Someone to process and market the alpaca fibre 3. Someone to manage the lit...

We live on a small hill farm in the beautiful county Wicklow known as the garden of Ireland. We are a family of four. Becky and Kilian and our daughters Zoe (11) and Bea (8). Fiona (18) is also staying with us this year as an au-pair. We are quite remote so it is very serene and peaceful and the view is amazing. We speak English and German as well as French. We farm organically and have 15 free range organic pigs as well as 2 horses and 5 cats. We also have a poly tunnel and farm garden where we grow vegetables for our own use. Becky works from home and Kilian when he is not farming, has an additional part time job which calls him away on projects from time to time. We live 1km outside a little village called Redcross. It has a pub that brews its own beers and there is also a restaurant, snack bar and shop. We are 20 minutes to drive from a town called Arklow which is on the sea and there is normally a chance to get a lift in but it’s only a 1 hour cycle. Wicklow is a cool part of t...

Hello, my name is Florent, I'm 45 years old, I was a chef for about twenty years, and since 2017 I've been a spirulina producer. Spirulina is a microalga that's very rich in nutrients. It's a very environmentally friendly crop, requiring little energy and no pesticides. Spirulina needs sun and warmth to grow. The harvest season in our region runs from April to October, and it's during this period that I'm interested in hosting someone (I don't need two people at the same time, one is enough). Normally, I already have people helping me until the end of august, so I'm looking for someone from beginning of september. I mainly need someone to help me harvest the spirulina but also sometimes to help me out on the farm with various tasks, as we do everything ourselves: cleaning, labeling, packaging, general maintenance and odd jobs, and also everything else that goes along with the spirulina production: clearing brush, chopping wood, going to markets from time to time, house constructi...

I’m Sophie from the U.K and I run a stunning, small, Art Nouveau boutique hotel which is my partner’s family home. We converted his family home into a small hotel 20 years ago. Lluis, my husband, is now retired and I need a helping hand. We are friendly, helpful and multilingual (English, French, German, Spanish and Catalan) The house was built in 1906 and is a listed building surrounded by beautiful centenary gardens. We are in a little village in the foothills of the Pyrenees in the beautiful region of La Garrotxa, land of volcanoes, waterfalls, forests and ancient ruined castles. We’re right next to the Via Verde (old railway track now a cycling and walking track) and are at walking distance to some spectacular waterfalls and good wild swimming in the summer. There are buses from the village to Olot, Girona and Barcelona. We're 40 minutes from Girona , an hour and 20 mins form Barcelona, an hour from the Costa Brava We have a small one-room wooden hut and a small, basic kitchen ne...

This is what we are about in a nutshell: Inner peace for a compassionate world. You will be helping us to prepare this place for residential retreat and short break visitors to open fully in 2026. We will be hosting well-being, personal-development, meditation and similar groups as well as some guests who are holidaying in the area. The group retreats operates as a community interest company. During the Summer / Autumn 2026 we are doing a lot of internal building work [building new timber stud walls, putting plaster boards up], decorating [painting walls] and grounds maintenance. So plenty of opportunity to increase your practical skills and gain experience in renovating. We will also be hosting guests and retreats. and part of your work may be preparing rooms for their arrival. We value authenticity, integrity, honesty and self-awareness. We have put together this outline as a result of our hosting experience so far. We find that it helps to clarify what is on offer here and wha...

We are a busy family of 5 + two young dogs and a cat. We live ten minutes drive out of Motueka in a beautiful rural area. Our neighbourhood offers warm community connection, stunning views, safe neighbourhood walks, and nearby river for summer swimming. We ask approximately fifteen hours a week, with Fridays and Tuesdays being our busiest days, approximately 9-12. My husband and I work (he full time, me part time) so tasks are mostly centred around playing with, supporting and supervising our three homeschooled children aged 11, 13, 15 and the dog and cat. The girls all have planned learning using different curriculum but need support staying engaged, eating and excercising at appropriate times, and sometimes with details of learning. We are especially keen for German speaking visitors willing to help the kids learn a bit of the language and practice their skills, and people familiar with dogs and cats and their training and care needs would be great as the dogs are pretty busy an...

We're Manon, Alessandro and Brioche (I'm a dog) a little young family passionate about nature, travelling, independence, regenerative practices, agriculture, farming, gardening, trekking and life. After almost 10 years of working and travelling overseas we felt the the needs to set roots and to transform our dream in to a reality. We bought an old farm stable in ruins (dry stone building) inside a very small village and a few hectares of old chestnuts forest next to it. On one side we want to restore the old building using eco techniques, as much as we can, to transform it in to our house and on the other side we are developing a syntropic garden, a little orchard based on agroforestry systems principles that will also be applied to some parts of the chestnuts forest. We're located in South Ardèche, near the town of Joyeuse. The place is famous for its rivers, canyons and forests with plenty of hiking and biking trails, bathing spots, canyoning, rafting, climbing spots, old small vil...

We are in our 50's, couple, owners of a permacultural orchard. We are located in a charming landscape of hamlets situated at the frontier between Slovakia and Morava. It is picturesque and replenished with fine views. The White Carpatians Nature Reserve protects the original woods on the flanks of Veľká Javorina the tallest mountain of this mountain range. This is where you come when you’re finished with the norm and its systems. Thinking outside the box and voluntary simplicity inform my life. There is joy in the cycles of life. There are lambs and baby rabbits. The kale and chard are blooming to reseed. Spring is blooming and the tree frogs are singing. Im planning on creating a new chicken house this year. If you’re capable with a hammer and saw, have I got stuff for you to do 😎 im not looking for a professional carpenter. This is git er dun, use what you have type building. People wanting to learn gardening and food ways are always welcome- carpentry skills UN nescessary. I live off-grid in a 240 sq ft hand built caravan. I am practicing sustainability thru permaculture. my farm garden is beyond organic, relying on natures synergy. It is my dream to be fully self sufficient in food and herbs. also in the dream-works are an outdoor summer kitchen, a solar oven, a solar water heater for the caravan, more food forest which includes...

We are a family of 4 starting an around-the-world voyage! We have been lucky enough to have been given guardianship of a 63' ocean-going catamaran called The Spirit of Gaia. It is an amazing boat, with a lot of room on deck, and it sails very well. We are looking for helpers who can be a part of our family on the ship (A love and understanding of children is a must). Our boys are ages 6 & 7. They love people and are very social. They have big imaginations and enjoy learning new things. We would love helpers who could possibly teach them cultural things like music, sports/athletics, cooking, dancing and languages (especially Spanish), though anyone interested in helping us teach them traditional academic subjects is welcome as well. We would prefer helpers who can stay at least 2 weeks. Most of the time the boat will be at anchor, though we will try very hard to go sailing at least once or twice while helpers are here (we want to see and visit different places too!) :) We wi...

For an experience in a farm with horses and dogs, if you love nature and are not afraid of hard work! Here you’ll find silence and peace, and also many splendid places to visit. [UPDATE: We don’t have availability for a position in horse care only. But we have availability for a strong person, hard worker, to help outside with the bush clearing, using the brushcutter, driving the tractor to grind the fields, apart from helping a bit with the animals and the handling of horses. Note that we are very busy during the week, and we can't go and check our emails every day. You might have to wait a bit for an answer. Sorry for this.] We live in a sparsely populated area called Berry located in the center of France between Orléans (60km) and Bourges (50km). The closest city is Gien, 27km away. Just west is the county called Sologne, where nature is all around, though we are at only 2 hours from Paris. East is the Sancerre valley. We are looking for handy volunteers or good riders. Check...

We usually prefer long term stays but short term is sometimes possible for people with the right skills. Part-time arrangements (staying a few days per week or per month) are also possible for people living locally. Experience with gardening, animals, carpentry is ideal. With its vibrant cultural scene, world-class museums, historic landmarks, countless cafés, parks, and excellent public transport, Berlin is the perfect place to experience urban life while enjoying a welcoming home environment. I would kindly ask you to help with painting, fencing, gardening, sweeping leaves, cleaning and maintaining the house, as well as feeding and caring for the animals. There is plenty of space to relax and enjoy your free time. You will have your own private room, and I will provide breakfast and one warm meal each day. If you enjoy cooking in a holistic and nutritious way, you are more than welcome to do so. I am always happy to share my knowledge about healthy food and learn from others as well. NOTICE: DUE TO HEATWAVE HAVE LEFT FRANCE FOR COOLER PASTURES, WILL BE BACK IN SEPTEMBER. Hi, I’m Toby, 48, from the UK. I am slowly bringing back to life a beautiful old French farm property in the Dordogne. It was previously renovated into a 16-bedroom hotel back in 1990 and sits in peaceful rural countryside, surrounded by sunshine, wildlife, vineyards and quiet country views. The house is in the French wine region between Bergerac and Saint-Émilion, around 60 km from Bordeaux and just a few kilometres from Sainte-Foy-la-Grande train station. At the moment I am working on site mostly on my own while my family is back in the UK. Replacing windows, protecting the house from the weather and keeping the garden under control has become a lot of work, so I would really appreciate some friendly help. I used HelpX once before and had a good experience, so I thought I would try again this year. The kind of help I need: The work is not usually very technical or heavy. It would mostly b...

SEARCHING FOR VOLUNTEERS FROM NOW FOR 2 WEEKS. We are Brazilian couple owning a small regenerative farm and experiences space in the making, nestled in the hills above the Costa de Granada — between the Sierra Nevada and the Mediterranean Sea. The land and the houses are being transformed at the same time: fruit trees planted using syntropic principles, Mediterranean gardens taking shape around ancient olive trees, soil being brought back to life — and walls being rebuilt, rooms being renovated, spaces being given new purpose. This is a place mid-becoming. And that's exactly what makes it interesting. What you'll do: 5 hours of work per day from Wednesday to Sunday and Monday and Tuesday off. Tasks vary day to day and per season, but roughly breaks down like this: ~60% renovation — painting, clearing, basic building work, and helping shape the houses and communal spaces as we continue the restoration. ~10% household — cooking, cleaning, general upkeep. We share domestic life here, a...

This is an exciting opportunity to have an experience that will stay with you throughout your life. Our Foundation aims at helping rural children receive a qualitative outstanding education. At present, we aim to help 4 public elementary schools (grades 1 - 6) close to Chiang Mai. We are currently taking applications for volunteers who would available to start mid-November and commit to at least 8 weeks . We are looking for volunteers to teach English only. Couples are welcome as well. NOTE: We do not charge volunteers any fees for staying with us. The generous gift of your time and dedication is all the donation we will ask of you. We are located in the picturesque Chianti hills just a short distance from the stunning city of Florence, we offer a unique opportunity to live a simple yet deeply fulfilling life. As an Hare Krsna spiritual community dedicated to Bhakti-yoga, we follow the teachings of Srila Prabhupada, the founding spiritual master of ISKCON, aiming to cultivate love for God, inner peace and high thinking. Our estate is home to hundreds of olive trees, providing not only nourishment but also the chance to reconnect with nature through our annual olive harvest. The surrounding landscape, among the most beautiful in Italy, offers a serene environment for meditation and reflection. What truly defines this place, is the importance we place on community. Residents and visitors come together to share in daily spiritual practices, yoga retreats, and collective service. It is through this spirit of collaboration and mutual support that we grow together—spiritually, mentally, and emotionally. Our community al...

Hello, my partner John & I, have had a wonderful time sharing our home with volunteers. We now have a vacancy from August 6th, Short or longer stays are welcome. We usually have 2 volunteers staying with us, each with their own bedroom. Volunteers can cover each others time off & share the tasks. We usually take volunteers out to places of interest, on a Saturday. We live as a family & enjoy many things together, with our volunteers, many of whom have become lasting friends. We live in a nature sanctuary on Corfu island in Greece. we are a COMMUNITY of PLANTS, ANIMALS AND HUMAN BEINGS, who try to live together IN THE SPIRIT OF NATURE. we are organized similar to a zen monastery. yet we are not affiliated to any religious body, but to the holy body of our mother earth. the earth takes care of us. the earth gives to us what we need. she gives us and she for-gives us – she never asks for money… we admire the communities in nature (ecosystems), where all members balance their needs and gifts in a healthy way, without money, without machines and without chemicals. here in NATURE’S SANCTUARY we try to live in harmony with nature. we try to support and protect all our nature brothers and sisters, who share this sanctuary with us… it is a CHALLENGE TO LIVE IN HARMONY WITH NATURE. it is a challenge to protect and support all nature beings in a way, that they have the chance to live in their own natural born communities. we are looking for people, who want to take...

So plenty of opportunity to increase your practical skills and gain experience in renovating. We will also be hosting guests and retreats. and part of your work may be preparing rooms for their arrival. We value authenticity, integrity, honesty and self-awareness.

Our community provides an alternative way of living with permaculture gardens, farm animals, sustainability projects, and arts and cultural workshops. It is a great place to come to meet other like-minded people if you are passionate about sustainability and alternative living. We hold community meetings throughout the week alongside activities and workshops, such as quiz nights, dance nights and yoga classes.

Currently looking for 1 additional person or a couple, to stay at least 3 weeks while we are away, ideally with your own car. We usually prefer long term stays but short term is sometimes possible for people with the right skills. Part-time arrangements (staying a few days per week or per month) are also possible for people living locally. Experience with gardening, animals, carpentry is ideal. We don't smoke, drink alcohol, or use drugs and appreciate the same in others. We are a married couple ages 54 and 66, living on a small farm in the famous Vienna Woods outside the city. We are located in the heart of Berlin, one of Europe's most exciting and diverse cities. I am not just looking for someone to help with daily tasks—I would like to offer a meaningful cultural exchange and create a positive experience together. If you are interested in me...

We have a volunteer teaching program to assist rural teachers and children get exposure to foreign languages and cultures. Because English is the second language in Thai schools, we concentrate on improving the English language skills of both rural teachers and children.

We live in a 4 bed modern dormer bungalow, in a beautiful village, with a shop & bus stop 3 minutes walk from the house. We live with my father, who is 89 years old and has memory loss. My father is calm & relaxed. My father does like to have volunteers there, to watch television with him, so that he’s not alone & he enjoys helping volunteers improve their English pronunciation. Volunteers are also welcome to work on their laptops, while sitting with my father, he’s used to that & still enjoys their...
