Hi beautiful people! I’m Christine, a happy spirited former language and arts teacher working across two continents. Since I retired I work in the natural health field. I live on an urban block called The Roo‘s Pouch, where I maintain a sustainable vegetable garden and created a community of nice people living with me. I live in one of the buildings on this sunny property which runs on rainwater harvesting. We avoid chlorine and contaminates by filtering, harmonizing, and energizing our own water though Ionisation. Water conservation is part of life for me. You can come to Maryborough via plane, bus or train. The Hervey Bay Airport is only 30min from my home. There are meanwhile several bus companies to choose from. If you use the train please book Maryborough town from the drop down menu. The shuttle bus from the train station in Maryborough west (20 min out of town) is free of charge if it is pre-booked. As international travelers you qualify for a concession card on Queensland tra...

We run a three bedroom accomodation located in the beautiful historic area of Kerikeri just up from the Stone Store. We are looking for preferably a single person (ranking as mature) interested in staying at the lodge and taking care of the general running of things (around 2-4 hours per day , negotiable) This is very relaxed and mostly entails greeting guests in the afternoons and showing them to their rooms (only when we have bookings), cleaning rooms if the cleaner is away, taking bookings as well as some general property maintenance. You will stay in a separate part of the lodge with full kitchen, private room and bathroom. I am generally around the lodge most days but leave in the evenings as I live with my partner out of Kerikeri. So we work as a team. This means you will likely be taking care of yourself in the evenings, so being able to cook is important. We include you in most socil activities if you are keen, such as sailing. Every Helpx so far has been nothing short o...

Hello! We would be happy to have a person to help open up the villa during April 2026. The property is situated outside the picturesque hill side village of Glossa, on the island of Skopelos. Which is part of the Sporades archipelago in the Northern Aegean . The first Mamma Mia Film was based here, so the Mamma Mia church is close by. Skopelos is one of the greenest islands and though it’s not a massive party island, there is plenty to do especially if you appreciate nature and island life. It offers a lot of possibilities to have outdoor experiences such as hiking, mountain biking, swimming, exploring beaches, running, Yoga etc. The island and area around is lovely, you can find beautiful beaches. The type of help I could do with is gardening, lots of painting and general maintenance , cleaning, cooking organizing around the property. I suggest a five hour helping day with your weekends off. For accommodation there is a spare bedroom and bathroom in the villa and at present...

I have a property on the edge of Havelock North in Hawkes Bay.I need help in the gardens and around the property..Helpers have their own very comfortable and self contained accommodation .They are welcome to use the swimming pool and tennis court. The work is varied and not too strenuous. In the past some of my helpers have done their chores while also working in paid employment and I am flexible to manage these situations. My helpers all seem to love the food we eat- I’m a hunter gatherer and we eat lots of food like fish and home grown vegetables.. Couples are welcome. The property is within walking distance of the Havelock North village. Bikes are available for use. Havelock North is a vibrant town in one of New Zealand’s most attractive and liveable provinces. Now that winter has arrived there is lots to do here like sweeping up fallen leaves and building a new vegetable garden. My helpers only need to help me for 4 hours a day- in return you’ll get free lodgings in a comfortable r...

*CLOSED for winter* Accommodation is in the “blueberry cottage,' a self-contained flat that is across the lawn from our house. It has two bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen/dining room, computer and wifi. I stock the kitchen with good ingredients and between those and the orchard goodies you assemble your own breakfast. We start at 830 and work for four hours. I make a big lunch at the house for everyone (lots of home made bread and cakes) and the afternoons/evenings are your own. I'll keep the larder stocked with whatever food you like, we don't eat much meat but can supply it. We have bikes for your use and are surrounded by wineries, or there's always a shady tree to nap under. Warning we do have insects, and in the summer picking time can't take helpers who are colourblind. For ease of booking we'd prefer if you can plan on coming and going on Mondays, one week minimum stay. We are a ten minute walk from the bus stop. Here's a little video on us, bit dated now but it'll give yo...

Hi. We are Catherine and Jim. We have a house facing the sea in Liguria, an hour west of Genova. We also have a large friendly Weimaraner dog, Romeo, who is always with us. So, for you, liking dogs is important. We need some help - a single person - from July 29 to August 23. Someone younger is best to help with 3 young boys, 5, 9 and 10 years old -mostly in and out of the swimming pool and other small activities playing with them and watering plants. It would be very good if you spoke both English and French too. We need help 5 hours per day, 5 days per week only. 2 days off per week. We are often flexible for work hours and days. There is a lot of free time to do whatever you want like walking and going to the beach. The beaches are nice here. And it is a good place to start an exploration of the area including Genova. There is good train service with a nearby station. Please contact us if you would like to come and help from July 29 to August 23. (We are also searchin...

Hello, I’m David! I have sold my coffee shop after 45 years in the hospitality trade, where travelling workers would once work, however I STILL offer helpers the same excellent own room lodging as homestay & great food in exchange for a little light work and some social contact. I live close the train station and bus stop and am a 30 min trip by train to Melbourne City. There is a vehicle to drive locally if are appropriately licensed. You are welcome to use it. I go to the outback in western New South Wales about 3 times a year for the purpose of experiencing the beautiful "timeless land" of Australia and to legally hunt feral animals which endanger our wildlife. I often take workers to the outback so they can have a taste of the real Australia and I can assure that none of the numerous helpers/woofers I have taken over a many year period did not thoroughly enjoy it. . However the choice is theirs whether they accompany myself or whether they stay and "mind the house" I also oft...

This project is part of a sustainable re-population project in the Abruzzo countryside. It's part of a network active in this area which connects all the people living around that have chosen the natural farming as their way to freedom. I'm 50 years old and i live one and half km away from Tufillo in a three hectares property. An open space for those who love nature, natural farming, art, and the sharing of goods, knowledge and experience. I started this project which includes the renovation of a farm shed, the building of a new house, some organic vegetable gardens, a meditative corner on an old oak tree, a thermocompost-shower, a clay pizza oven, a bio-climatic chicken coop and small stable. There are to be planted an orchard and a vineyard. From the water source present in the property gushes pure water that will be channeled into two bio-pools that will be used as tanks but also for fish breeding. At the moment there are six chickens and three dogs but i also want to breed geese, r...

We live on a 5 acre hobby farm in the beautiful Huon Valley, Southern Tasmania. Our family consists of three young adult children (two live at home), two horses, many chickens, ducks, geese, goats and two gorgeous dogs. We grow organic vegetables and breed heritage chickens in an attempt to be more sustainable. Jobs involve general gardening, helping with the animals and housekeeping. If you would like a Tassie small farm experience message us with some details of the work you have previously done. We have separate accommodation, with a bathroom. All our HelpXers have loved working and living with us and I hope you will too (please remember Tassie is a cold place in winter). There are many areas of natural beauty in Southern Tasmania which are all fairly close to us. For example, the Hartz mountains, Hastings Caves and the Tahune Airwalk. We live close to a sleepy village called Cygnet and Hobart is only a 40min drive away. (Unfortunately we can't approve 2nd year visas)

Hosting educating helpers from start April until end of October every year. I am a male from United Kingdom now living in France, and I have an interesting informative project in progress! Having lived off-grid in various locations over the past 20 years, I am based in the heart of the Languedoc Roussilon region (The worlds largest wine area). I currently have the basics set up in my re-purposed barn, including solar paneled electricity, fridge, charging for phones, laptops during day. Composting toilet, separate ladies no 1s toilet. Simple showers, we fill with buckets water from river. That warms quickly in the Mediterranean sun or you can heat hot water over our cooking fire. We also use a gas hob for cooking and hot drinks only. We get a good 4 and 5 g signal here. I would particularly like help with basic supervised DiY, weed clearing, re-roofing, and renovation of the barn, along with tree and vegetable planting and care. I expect 20 hours work per week in return for food, wine ...

This is for those of you who plan ahead. We are full until mid July, right at the start of our best fishing season and in the middle of our best weather when at least some of the time we should be cutting great timber from unwanted trees using a 26 inch/56cm bandsaw. So anyone who loves fishing, snorkelling on inshore reefs and is good at DIY or carpentry and loves the simple, quiet, rural life by the beach, next to the rainforest, this is for you 🤗. We appreciate help with DIY construction, repairs and maintenance, timber work, boat work, metal work repairs to trailers and for help with gardening, housekeeing, cooking, duck and chicken rearing and dog walking on the beach. Fishing, snorkelling, and rainforest walks can help occupy your spare time. We are looking for reasonably good DIY handymen and women, capable of working effectively, when necessary, on your own or as a pair and, ideally, someone who also has some gardening experience, but that is not really necessary, learn o...

We have been hosting helpers for over 12 years, in Queensland, Victoria and now the far south coast of NSW. We have recently moved from a 600 acre wilderness retreat to a house on a headland in Tathra, a wilderness of a different kind, with the sea in all its moods, and National Parks within easy reach. The headland walking track is literally across the road, and Tathra main beach is a 20 minute walk. We offer accommodation in a cosy bedroom with its own bathroom (also household laundry). The room has a sea view, and is private from the rest of the house. We share kitchen and living spaces, and generally share our meals together. The work required is 4-5 hours work a day, helping with gardening, landscaping and occasional building. We are looking for people who want who are fit, strong and happy to work outdoors. Please bring suitable clothes, boots and hat. There may be occasional days working on our daughter's property, a simply gorgeous location in the Bega hinterland, with t...

Our beautiful mountainside home is just 10 minutes from Bellingen, a small vibrant community of creatives, environmentalists, and dairy farmers on the mid north coast of NSW. The city of Coffs harbours is just 30 minutes away. Situated half way between Sydney and Brisbane. We are 10 minutes drive from swimming holes in the Bellinger river and 20 minutes to the ocean for a swim or surf. We are a middle aged couple who have travelled extensively both in Australia and internationally. We have 5 adult children and are ourselves both from large diverse families. We gave up city life in 2024 for the wonderful life in nature and attempting to provide ourselves and others with our own foods from our land. Our property has magical views over the Bellinger valley and beyond. The property backs onto State forest and we take our Dog Cisco for at least daily walks along our beautiful fire trail beneath large gum trees and She Oaks. The property is incredibly peaceful and serene. It’s a special p...

We're always looking for assistance in property maintenance in the fields and on our private bike park. We also quite often are on the lookout for those who have experience in web content and photo and video editing to help update our websites. Please read!! 😀 We have a peaceful, rural lifestyle block with a number of heritage chickens and a cat and dog. Our residence is a scenic 20-minute drive out of Nelson. For this reason, having your own transport is ideal (but not a deal breaker!). We offer rooms and/or studio accommodation and food / meals to hard-working folks happy to help out with various projects around the property, including gardening, landscaping, building and improving our mountain bike and jump track, mowing, weed whacking, eliminating weeds, some house cleaning, cutting fire wood, and other non-technical chores. The majority of our tasks suit physically fit individuals who enjoy working outdoors. Weekly required hours of work is 27.5 hours. We are flexible about...

Hi, my name is Mary. I live on the border of NSW and Victoria, a town called Albury. There is a train service to Albury from Sydney about 9 hours and Melbourne about 5 hours train trip. I am happy to pick someone from the Albury railway station. Albury is a pretty town on the Hume Highway. It is inland on the Murray River and there are a lot of local attractions, vineyards, historical small towns, snow fields and many more, only a few hours drive. I am located in town, with the railway station and the airport not too far, about 15minutes drive. I am fully vaccinated and require the same of a helper. I only take Non-smokers (meaning you do not smoke at all, outside as well). Currently I am asking for 2.5hrs a day for board only. You can cook for yourselves, buy supplies locally and after cooking clean your area. I would like help with the garden and other general duties around the house, such as cleaning. If you are travelling this way, either going to Melbourne or locally and can hel...

We farm sheep and beef in the heart of the Catlins, in Tawanui at the start of the popular Catlins river walk. The farm consists of sheep, cattle, four rideable horses and some coloured pet Gotland sheep along with an array of wild deer roaming the hill. Help will consist of some stock work, some fencing, maintenance of all sorts, gardening, firewood and general helping around the house. Always having fun and a good laugh as we work. I don't travel so its nice to meet people from all walks of life and learn about there culture. If you are keen for some work, and want to meet some locals and enjoy the breath taking Catlins, please get in contact.

My partner Richard and I are both in our 30s and we need your help with a variety of projects in our lovely tree house. We live in a bit rainforest block with jungle all around us (tree frogs in the bathroom are the norm!) It's just the two of us and our two dogs, so we could use a little help around the place to maintain the grounds and the buildings. Jobs we'd appreciate help with include: Grounds maintenance (e.g. hedge trimming, leafblowing, repairs) Vehicle maintenance (with Richard) Fish tank cleaning (with Lynne) Pool cleaning Looking after dogs if we're away Chicken care Being good with dogs is a must - we have two big dogs, one of who isn't the friendliest with strangers but is your best friend once you get to know him. We also have lots of fish tanks, a chicken coop and are hoping to get a snake soon. We have very wide-ranging hobbies and skills, and hopefully we can share these with you.

The city of Coffs harbours is just 30 minutes away. Situated half way between Sydney and Brisbane. Update: we are looking for a single or couple to stay from 10th July onwards 😊 We are on an off-grid organic permaculture property on a big hill with amazing sea & rural views, along with spectacular sunrises & sunsets. We live in a 2 bedroom rammed earth house, where you would be in your own bedroom and share the facilities. We need help with gardening, looking after our toddler (2 yo), planting, weeding, construction, crazy paving, painting, cleaning & laundry (we run a small glamping business with geodesic domes also). We would be very happy to teach you what we know about Permaculture (we both have our Permaculture Design Certificate), our Food forests, gardening, composting, etc. There are surfboards here that you can borrow, and, if it's summer & there's time - I could even give you some tips with surfing too! Our toddler is a very happy chill little dude that loves going outside & to the beach. Please note that although we do offer vegetarian food, we are okay with meat b...

I (Lynne) love fish (have many tanks), caring for my chickens, hanging with my dogs, ...
