Hi there! We're still fairly new hosts so this will probably in a state of constant updates. My husband and I, together with our samoyed Bella, are offering you your own bedroom in exchange for some light work in the house and/or garden. You will also have a bathroom to yourself. Jobs that might need to be done include light gardening, cutting branches, taking care of the chickens, cleaning, some household chores, meal prep (maybe with some dishes from your cultural background?), and dog walking. None of these jobs are difficult, and we won't force you to do anything you don't feel comfortable with. Open communication is key here. If you're an expert at renovations, please tell us though, so we can plan accordingly. Most of the time, you are quite flexible concerning when you want to work. If you want to start at 6am, that's equally fine as starting at 10am. You are also free to talk to us and switch hours so you have a day off. Please talk to us before, though, so we know what you...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. We are looking for helpers between the ages of 18 to 35. We are a small community of friends working towards a better life in a beautiful part of rural Devon, in the Tamar River Valley Estuary where you will make friends for life. In exchange for your friendship while you are staying here we will endeavour to teach you new skills that will carry you through life. A small farm in a beautiful location! Our farm and home probably date back to pre 1660's, with many additions since. It has been left to go wild for the last 40 years. The river has otters, seals, beavers, salmon, sea trout, and sea bass. With buzzards and owls overhead. There are deer in the surrounding woodland. The aim for our farm is to give the land back to nature and at the same time create an organic food source that we can freely share with local flora and fauna. In this way, there will be enough for us and enough for the animals around us. To do this we have created a sustainable way of living that includes holiday...

Hi, I am the Chef and my partner Noel the Gardner, together we have created beautiful gardens and a small farm restaurant about 40 minutes from Hobart, which will re-open in November. In the meantime there is much to do with getting the building and gardens ready for re-opening. We have learnt a lot after losing everything to a bushfire 11 years ago, when we started on our project to generate an income from the property, by running a restaurant from our home, and now we are building a new but modest seasonal restaurant! We are open to the possibility of a top-up payment for your hours above the basic HelpX commitment. this can only be discussed after we get to know each other first and is based upon your skills. We are flexible with hours and like you to have time out to explore our region which is truly amazing, we will help with transport when possible. I like to cook seafood and meat dishes, and whatever we can source from the garden. Thanks for reading about us. We wish you well f...

Hey, hello you ! We are Caro and Chris, Zion and Kiara. We were travelling around the world since a gorgeous time until all this virus craziness happened. Caro, then Chris & Caro were backpacking, doing hitchhiking, etc... The beautiful wildlife. Then kids arrived in 2017 and 2019 so we mainly stayed travelling in Europe by van until they will be able to carry a little backpack ;) When the virus arrived, we were crossing Sweden. Everything became complicated with borders, shops and people so we decided to enjoy the strange time to build our home. We bought an over 300 years old stone house on a big peace of land which were abandoned and this new adventure started. Bretagne is a nice place full of culture, traditions, nice villages, forest and legends and history, and surrounded by the sea. After being helpers ourselves, we now want to be hosts too. We loved it so we expect people love it here too. Our kids are homeschooling with mainly their mother and we would be happy to have Eng...

We operate a retreat centre, hosting yoga, art, creative writing, hiking, cooking etc. retreats. Each week we have new groups of 12-20 people coming to stay. We are looking for people to provide kitchen help from March until November. The work consists primarily of preparing and serving tables, cleaning the kitchen and supporting the chef (e.g. chopping vegetables). During the winter we offer a possibility for one or two people to stay and help with garden work and maintenance. For most of this time we are closed to the public, so it is very quiet and not well-suited to someone looking for lots of company. Unlike the spring and autumn seasons, you will need to prepare your own meals. Helpers are expected to provide 30 hours per week, in return for board and accommodation - usually 5 hours per day and one day free each week. This can work well either for people traveling on their own or for two friends traveling together. Preferred stay, minimum 3 weeks. NEXT AVAILABILITY: MARCH...

Update: We are booked out until February.. Please read our profile before you write to us. Hello lovely helpers, welcome to " Breakfast at Tiffany's" which refers to a movie from 1961, It's a also the title of a song from 1993. Before we introduce ourselves I would like to let you know that we are not worried about your skills, we don't expect any experts, but someone who genuinely loves plants and to help. We prefer if you can cook and bake bread. For us, communication is the most important thing and best is someone who has a sense of humor and fits into our sociable family. If you are a recluse and rather hide in your room or look at your phone or can't commit to help due to your circumstances, please don't apply. We like playing (modern/strategic) board games, card games and often play Codenames, Tsuro and Bananagrams, which can be played even with limited English. So we prefer helpers who like to join in sometimes. If you like chess, ask Andrew to play a game with you. We both pl...

This is a Standardbred Horse stud located at the foot of the Tamborine Mountain. Located 45 minutes from Brisbane in the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland. We welcome working holiday visa holders with horse experience and most importantly a passion for horses!! Your role on the farm would be helping with the daily care of our standardbred racehorses, yearlings, broodmares and stallions. Feeding, grooming, mucking out etc. Ideal helpers will be positive and willing. We enjoy meeting enthusiastic people that really want to get involved on the farm and learn how we do things. Day to day life on the farm is easy going, and we encourage our travellers to enjoy their down time exploring all the area has to offer, such as walks in the national park and rainforest or swimming in the creeks and waterfalls. There will be plenty of time for playing pool, horse riding, swimming in our indoor pool, meeting our lovely big family and getting involved in the backyard cricket matches! We...

I run private English school for children aged between 10 and 19 years old in a small city in West Sumatra. My goal as the principal of the school is to provide youth from my region with the English skills required to communicate better in the modern world, and therefore provide them with better opportunities in their lives. I would like to welcome any fluent English speakers under the age of thirty to come assist my teachers in the classroom. You would help immensely by having simple conversations with the students and give them a real English speaking experience inside or outside the classroom. All the students are very welcoming and curious about my visitors and I am certain that you will have a great experience while interacting with them. You can expect answering all their curious questions, pose for pictures and be invited for lunches, snacks and dinners. Classes in my school run from 2pm to 6pm and mostly consist of two lessons/classrooms per day. I would also like to invite...

I have a nice house up the coast from Thames, at the gateway to the Coromandel penninsula, 2 minutes from the beach, and near to great bush walks and fishing. I am a lover of music, people and society, with a view to developing solutions to sustain happiness and create harmonious living, and enjoy hosting people. I have traveled, wwoofed, and worked around NZ, and am happy to point you in the right direction on your journey through our gorgeous country. There is a sleepout that has a double bed, good for a couple, and also a single room with a very comfy bed, the beach is very close, and there are a couple of kayaks here you are welcome to borrow. Most help needed will be light, some simple gardening, cleaning, and help with path building.

A room is available for your homestay. Because of the helps I would like to ask, those who have enough experience/knowledge of handling house holding chores and cooking are welcome. No problem if you cannot cook Japanese dishes. Vegetarian is welcome only from summer to autumn. (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100008491416787) It's easy to talk about next step of your homestay if how long from when, how you can help, what you want to do during homestay in addition to help works are written in your request. I, 66 years old male, not vaccinated for COVID-19, have a small private organic vegetable garden. I am happy if someone can help me to maintain vegetable garden and household chores including cooking. I also can enjoy helping my guest to learn Japanese language. We can visit at sightseeing places/aesthetic landscape when we have free time. At the same time, I`m interested to hear your stories about helpx and learn foreign languages as well as yoga and massage. My hou...

"If everybody makes a difference, the world will be different" - Owen Geiger... Our project is located outside a little village in the northeast of Thailand. Well off the beaten track of tourism we offer an opportunity for everybody to join in a fascinating project where we combine vipassana meditation, yoga, natural building and ecological gardening (especially permaculture) to a system of personal growth and care for nature. We want to show that the path inside and sustainable living can be very lively, joyful and fun. We rock the garden! Our project is deeply rooted in the Thai community, so you can experience an authentic insight into Thai culture and really be part of it. Our teacher is the Abbot of a Monastery in the nearest city and as such, living mindfully and observing the Buddha`s teaching is very much at the heart of this project. We have a deep connection with the village monastery and the Buddhist community and enjoy sharing in ceremonies and festivals together. Each ...

We have a basic but lovely country home located by the Rangitikei River. We are about 25 minutes from the nearest shop in Hunterville as well as our local pub which is located about 10 minutes away. My husband and I have a 2 year old son Joseph and a new baby Makayla born September 2024. We do our best to live off the meat that we hunt and the vegetables we grow. I'm looking for someone to help out with our veggie garden and with general work around the house or with projects that I might be doing at the time of your stay. Our roof is currently in need of some repairs so if you are someone that is interested or has experience in roof repairs then you would be a great fit however if this job wouldn't suit you then there's plenty of other chores to do. You'd be looking at around 4 hours of help per day in exchange for food and accommodation. We live on my husband's parents Deer, Sheep and Beef farm. We have 2 pet dogs and a few working dogs as well as some very friendly pet sheep. Ch...

I live in an old farm and farmhouse in Normandy. I have converted a cottage into a holiday cottage with 4 bedrooms (all en suite) and one barn into another. I also had a Yurt (now gone but the pictures are still there !!) and a campsite. With the guest-accommodation, farm and further buildings to be converted, I could always do with an extra pair of hands. Skills can range from building, painting, cleaning, farming and general maintenance. Someone with a sense of humour would be great. I enjoy music so you may find all sorts playing, from classical to Genesis, Roxy Music to London Grammar! Current projects (weather dependent) include: 1. restructure barn 2. burn garden rubbish 3. move garden shed 4. rejunvenate polytunnel I offer accommodation and meals included in return for help normally 5 days a week. After a week I'm happy to give a day tour of the battlefields ... Easy to find and get to .. .By train leave Paris at the Gare de St Lazare for Cherbourg. Get off at Lison st...

Each ...

PLEASE READ OUR HOST PROFILE CAREFULLY BEFORE CONTACTING US. WE ONLY HOST BETWEEN NOVEMBER AND APRIL. MINIMUM AGE 25, with good English language ability. THE HELP WE NEED: We need really practical, capable people to help keep the house and garden nice and clean/tidy. Also, someone to do small, medium or large projects which would need good DIY skills. Ch...
