Some time ago, we moved to the countryside. We built an ecohouse from strawbales. Our homestead is: 1.4ha of honeyberries planted in Spring 2016, 0,1ha of mixed orchard, where we planted old species of fruit trees (apple, pear, plum and cherry trees), 0,01 ha of cranberry and a vegetable garden. We have bio-certification of our farm. In everyday work, we are supported by a dog - Golden Retriever and 2 cats that live with us. We have also 9 young ducks. In this season we will need help with weeding. 2026 will be a very busy and interesting year. We're eager for more changes on our farm. In the spring, we'll be making changes to the cranberry beds. More comfort and less work later. We'll also be starting a new vegetable garden. We'll be pruning our haskap berry patches a lot. Autumn will also bring big changes. New plantings of quince, sea buckthorn, cranberries, currants, and chokeberries. If you're curious and interested, we warmly invite you. You'll be useful to us If you understand...

I am an Irish filmmaker recently relocated to rural France, where I am developing a filmmaking residency and independent creative retreat in a 150-year-old French manor house. The property includes a 20+ room château-style house and two vast barns, which I am in the process of transforming into a fully independent film and arts studio complex. The long-term vision is to host filmmaking residencies, Kino Kabaret events, writers’ retreats, and film-industry masterclasses, alongside screenings, collaborative productions, and summer open-air theatre. This is a hands-on, evolving creative space designed for filmmakers, writers, artists, and curious makers who want to live and work together in a quiet, inspiring setting. The barns are being converted into:a 30-seat cinema / screening room editing suites a recording studio additional artist studios and workshop space Inside the main house, the work is largely restoration: painting and decorating historic salons and bedrooms, laying tile and w...

WE ARE LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS FROM MID OCTOBER TO NOVEMBER. We are a family of four and have small farm at the coast of the Baltic sea close to Oskarshamn. The farmhouse is more than a hundred years old and is located just a few meters away from a lake, which we can use exclusively for fishing, swimming and anything else. A good work-life-balance is very important for us, and this is also what we have in mind for our helpers. It's not only working here, we also want to show our helpers the laid back Swedish lifestyle here at the Eastern coast. Both sides should feel that they did benefit from your stay at our place. Hein: I was born in the north of Germany, and my profession as a carpenter has a very important role in the realization of our dream life. I’ve always felt at home out in nature, fishing, sailing or mushroom picking,. I like to work in the garden and cultivate home-grown fruits and vegetables. Astrid: I love living in the nature and the freedom here in Sweden. By pr...

Student Accommodation and Digital Music Studio in Oxford. Hi there, I have 2 houses where I provide accommodation for international students - I have 1 or 2 students in each house for long lets and often couch-surfers for 1 or 2 nights. Oxford is a great international and multi-cultural study centre and its easy to feel at home in this city. The students and professionals who live with me are normally University students at all levels. They are usually independent and busy with their studies/research - so this is not like a hostel - but they are happy to have a coffee and chat when they are around.
For Helpers, I accept students and workers and international travellers, those who are looking for a change of lifestyle whether just for a few weeks or as part of a longer term adventure in international travel. Here I need a helper to assist me in both houses in basic house-keeping duties, cleaning, some house repairs, gardening, food preparation, etc. In connection with the studio, ma...

Hello my name is Philip and my wife is Allison. We have a beautiful piece of land in Devon where we look after and breed alpacas. We often have beautiful baby alpacas in the summer. We have some tourism here as we have two bell tents and a shepherds hut. I like nature and the outdoors and like to have interesting conversations with any helpers we have. I am also interested in Japanese and Chinese culture. We normally only take one or two helpers at a time who will live in a comfortable lockable studio with open views of the land. We supply the food and bed linen etc. The work is five days a week and is very enjoyable and variable. It will be feeding and helping the animals as well as some light farm work, nothing too heavy. Also some tidying of the tents. Please do not use headphones to listen to music when outside because you will not hear farm vehicles. Also if you need to listen to music while outside I do not think that this is the right place for you. Please contact me with any que...

Greetings HelpX people!! We live on a beautiful small property 5 minutes drive from Sheffield and not far from Cradle Mountain and beautiful beaches. Cynthia is a chef and Chris is a horticulturalist and we enjoy spending time outdoors gardening, building, renovating and playing our old piano. We have room for one person in your own comfortable, private and cosy self contained cottage (the shack), with awesome mountain views. We run an airbnb in Sheffield, see our website link below and would like some help maintaining it. We mostly need help in the garden and restoring furniture. Hope to see you soon!

Hello. I’m Paolo, a recently retired musician. I live in a mountain area made of rounded, wooded peaks in the inland of the Italian Riviera, at the point of connection between two regions, Tuscany and Liguria, widely renown for art towns (Pisa, Lucca, Florence among others) and picturesque fishing villages. It’s a quiet setting to get away from it all, with a 360 degree view stretching for tens of miles and right down to the Mediterranean Sea, only 25 km/15 miles away. Here is where the Alta Via (High Route of the Ligurian Mountains) starts, a long-distance waymarked hiking trail for nature lovers. I speak Italian (native), English (fluent) and French (fluent). I’m looking for volunteers who are self-motivated and good with their hands, willing to help me with general maintenance around my property in exchange for food and lodging in a friendly environment. I appreciate a baggage of life experience that is not too small, so volunteers in their mid to late twenties at least and in t...

Sorry folks, we are now fully booked until the beginning of April 2027. There may be a cancellation, but these are very rare, but if you are in the area, reach out, we love to chat :) As well as the normal homesteading tasks, if you want to learn about wine making, bee keeping, jewellery making, or take some self defence lessons we could be a great match. Have a think, take a look at our reviews and if you are interested, drop us a line, *** Our beautiful countryside homestead (only 5 acres so not really a farm) is in the mountainous hills above the historic castle town of Caccamo, Sicily. It is surrounded scraggy mountains and long valley walks. It is perfect for hiking or just relaxing in the sun with a good book. Within easy traveling distance for those interested in exploring this culturally rich island, is the seaside town of Cefalù or even the main capital city of Palermo, both are easily accessible by bus and train from the local town. We work daily on various homesteadin...

No availability until October From October onwards we are open to either short or long stay requests...6 months or more- we could have a trial week or fortnight before committing to a long stay Also we would like to arrange help for next year MARCH and April, this would involve strimming ( rechargeable , metal blade Stihl, with mask etc) and for an experienced strimmer we could add some paid hours on top of the full board and bedroom . PLEASE no supporters of mass starvation and military actions against civilians... No climate change deniers ... We definitely would not get on!!! Looking for a lovely volunteer(s) to join us and our animals. AVAILABILITY FROM early October. We are fully booked until then. Please contact us if you are interested in helping look after our wonderful animals. Experience with horses is useful but not necessary as long as you are happy to care for them. You will live as part of the family - during your stay, our home will be your home. We are a married couple living on a property with our DOGS, HORSES and an elderly but treasured chicken. Depending on the time of year, we also run a small scale rescue and rehabilitation centre for hedgehogs. There are stunning views looking out over a Devon Wildlife Nature Reserve and beautiful countryside. We live in a very attractive rural area of Devon on the outskirts of a beautiful old village called DOLTON (please look on "Google Maps") about a 45 minute drive from Dartmoor National Park. The village has a very friendly and active community, a church, 2 excellent traditional pubs, a post off...

We are set on 11 acres of beautiful land with wonderful views over the waters of the Manukau Harbour and with direct access to an expansive beach reserve. At the heart of the light filled house is a meditation room filled with musical instruments and opening onto an expansive lawn which is the setting for outdoor living and communal gatherings. These include occasional house concerts, seasonal celebrations and co creative musical sessions where we can experience our spiritual interconnectedness with Nature and one another. Help is needed in the house and on the land with tasks that include maintaining gardens and fruit trees, cutting grass, clearing weeds, making compost and cutting wood. I welcome people who love Nature and who can work with focus and commitment. In exchange for 24 hours work a week I offer a comfortable room , delicious and wholesome vegetarian meals, access to beaches and bush walks and the possibility that new doors will open for you.

Hello. My name is Manon, and I am 33 years old. I live with my husband and my 1-year-old son, in a French old house. We have already renovated a large part of the house over the past two years. Now we're getting back to it with renewed enthusiasm :) I'm studying interior design and learning about traditional methods that are both durable and eco-friendly, so we can feel as comfortable as possible in this building. Anyone who wants to join us on this adventure is more than welcome :) We usually put together groups of volunteers to create fun and dynamic teams :-)

Hello, I live in the beautiful Charente region 16140, and am looking for help with all sorts of jobs, from feeding the donkeys and other animals to painting and helping in the garden 😊 I am slowly bringing this lovely old château back to life after being empty and abandoned for many years. I enjoy growing my own organic vegetables and looking after my animals. I recently planted an orchard and have lots of other projects I'd love your help with. In the past I've shared some wonderful times with helpers, many of whom remain friends and have visited several times. In return I offer a comfortable bedroom in the chateau with 3 meals a day, and cooked as much as possible with our fresh produce. I would like your help for 5 hours a day with weekends off. There is lots to explore like little villages and towns and the river. The coast is about an hour's drive away. The Charente river is at the bottom of the garden and there are some lovely walks right outside the door, there are also b...

Welcome to the North East corner of Scotland and to a quiet vegetarian smallholding working towards self sufficiency (I'm the one with the chicken on my shoulder!) I’m Kris, I have enjoyed hosting like-minded people from around the world for many years now. Friendships have been formed and from the comments of guests, it's been an enriching experience for me and those who have stayed. It is a lovely environment here, but I would say it is suited to a certain kind of person, so to make sure it’s right for you, please read my description, then let me know if it appeals to you, and why, thanks! (I reply to all personal messages!) The land is around two acres (1 hectare). A small amount is used for vegetable garden, I have also planted hundreds of trees, some of which I am now cutting for firewood to be more energy self sufficient. The woodland attracts a lot of wildlife and in the right weather, it is a joy just to sit and listen to the birds! The house is almost 200 years old, and I h...

Hi beautiful people! I’m Christine, a happy spirited former language and arts teacher working across two continents. Since I retired I work in the natural health field. I live on an urban block called The Roo‘s Pouch, where I maintain a sustainable vegetable garden and created a community of nice people living with me. I live in one of the buildings on this sunny property which runs on rainwater harvesting. We avoid chlorine and contaminates by filtering, harmonizing, and energizing our own water though Ionisation. Water conservation is part of life for me. You can come to Maryborough via plane, bus or train. The Hervey Bay Airport is only 30min from my home. There are meanwhile several bus companies to choose from. If you use the train please book Maryborough town from the drop down menu. The shuttle bus from the train station in Maryborough west (20 min out of town) is free of charge if it is pre-booked. As international travelers you qualify for a concession card on Queensland trai...

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

We are looking for a motivated volunteer (or a couple) to join our small sled dog company from end September onwards, ideally for a minimum of one month. A longer stay throughout autumn and winter would be a real advantage, and if we are a good match, we would be happy to continue the collaboration. This opportunity is probably not for everyone. Life here is simple, physical, sometimes challenging, but incredibly rewarding for someone who truly enjoys dogs, nature and outdoor living. We are a small family-run sled dog kennel with around 40 dogs, 30 chickens, and turkeys, located in Posio, Finnish Lapland, about 20 minutes from Posio village and 40 minutes from Kuusamo. Our daily life revolves around our dogs. We spend our days caring for them, training them, improving our property and slowly building our dream, one project at a time. Our priority is our dogs. Always. Their wellbeing comes before anything else, and we are looking for someone who shares the same respect, patience and car...

Good morning;. I went on the Wagon Train in Montana like I have since 1983. We had a bad wreck, both of us got hurt. My ribs are not broken but the Doctor said they would be better if they were . Please come help me. I am now able to ride the ride on mower and get mowing done. Still painful.. My helper who had been here just over 3 years [yes years],moved . He works in town full time, stayed here for free and helped with chores. I really need the help. I do need someone for the winter months for sure. I have had 3 really great helpers already this year. Not as much to do as most years. Painting will have to get done this year. That is outside on the little buildings. 2 barn doors need repairs. Please respond when I send an invitation. I wait and wait and so many do not reply. Thank you to those who do. Due to my health, i have gotten behind.. I hope to see many more new friends in 2026.

( To be clear it is not that we require long or even ANY conversations on these topics , it is that it would be against our principles to be gaining any kind of advantage by hosting people who were so strongly misaligned with our ethics). Please note a cat and a dog here, so not suitable for allergies to dog and cat. A minimum stay of 2 weeks please. We really need a 2 week stay having people come and...

- Space available from 30th July for 1 person in a shared room with another male occupant. - Space generally available from 29th August onwards. **Please note that we ask that all enquiries include a proposed arrival and departure date, we also usually arrange a quick video call to confirm volunteers have sufficient English to communicate with other staff and customers** We are a busy, free-hold pub with brewery and gin distillery in a small village beside the sea in North Devon. We serve real ales, home-made food, and run regular music nights, games night and discussion groups. We are busy with holiday-makers and residents alike, and the pub is an important part of the community here. Depending on the length of stay and time of year, volunteers might find themselves helping with general maintenance, cleaning and organising or assisting in the kitchen- helping service run smoothly during lunchtime and evening sessions. Kitchen work is mainly washing dishes and helping keep things t...

We are a Portuguese couple with experience on permaculture and self-sufficient-living that in 2015 got 15ha of abundant land in a beautiful valley and an amazing community at the highest mountains inside the biggest natural park of our country. Rita is a health-food enthusiast and loves to work with different kinds of art-craft. She likes to explore Medicinal plants, Food preservation and fermentation, Hygiene products and teaching Forest School. Walking in the nature, singing with friends and doing yoga are some of the other things she enjoys. Gonçalo is a nature lover with a passion for Permaculture and Natural Farming. Studied Organic Agronomy and has been practicing it since 2008, with the help of volunteers, interns and apprentices. He enjoys sharing and to make music with friends. Unfortunately in 2017 a massive fire went over this beautiful valley but our yurts didnt burn and all the animals survived, in the same year we were blessed with our first home-birth daughter Dana....

Hi, we are looking for one or two keen, healthy helpers to work with us on a range of tasks.🌻 We have a small berry orchard and vegetable gardens with ducks, Guinea fowl, friendly kangaroos and our cute indoor house cats. The rest of the property is natural woodlands and we try to live as sustainably as possible. We have built our own unique home and there are still some parts to complete. All your meals are provided and we eat together to plan our day. The food is tasty vegetarian and we are happy to cater for vegans. Your accommodation is in a private and comfortable converted shipping container/tiny home and WIFI is available at main house. You need to commit to one week however you could stay longer if all are agreed. Helpers with some skills are welcome but an actual interest in experiencing a more sustainable life during your stay with us is more important. We don't take bookings in advance but if you are ready to come help now or soon contact us. Please tell us what skills yo...

I can't see the world, but the world can come see me. First and foremost, I want to thank all the helpers who came from United Kingdom-England, France, Belgium, Italy, China, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. Welcome Helpers. I live in the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia. Peaceful Hollow is quite with no neighbors in sight. There are no city lights, and you can see every star on a clear night! Pleaseful Hollow consists of: my cabin,/workshop with a private guestroom with private entrance on the second floor, and a very small guest cabin. My daughter and family moved here much later and have their own home. There is a lot you can be involved in, knowledge to share, friendships to build, and opportunities for growth. Below are routines and some projects. I would love to involve you! - Caring for honey bees, chickens, cats, dogs, one registered pure American Mulefoot boar pig, one gilt pig berkshire-tamworth with spots.. i am a fourth-generation beekeeper and has much ...
