I can't see the world, but the world can come see me. First and foremost, I want to thank all the helpers who came from United Kingdom-England, France, Belgium, Italy, China, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. Welcome Helpers. We are a family of 5 living in the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia. Sue is the founder of Peaceful Hollow. Her daughter Ruth moved to the Hollow later as well as her husband Tim and their 2 daughters. Our hollow is quite with no neighbors in sight. There are no city lights, and you can see every star on a clear night! Our homestead consists of Sue's workshop/cabin, Tim & Ruth's cabin and one very small guest cabin. Also, there is a private guestroom with private entrance on the second floor above the workshop/cabin combination. . We have a lot you can be involved in, knowledge to share, friendships to build, and opportunities for growth. Below are our routines and some projects. We would love to involve you! - Caring for our honey bees, chickens,...

Beautiful views and a lovely rural setting close to an alternative town with plenty going on (Hebden Bridge) nestled between Manchester and Leeds in the South Pennines. We are also on a bus route and near a train station. We would love people to help us with our smallholding. We have two cows to graze the land and a flock of chickens. There are meadows with a stream running through. The plan is to develop a variety of habitats to increase biodiversity. There is also a veg plot, polytunnel and newly planted orchard. We am not registered organic but have an organic sensibility. We follow a basic permaculture principle and are focused on resource management. We need help with whatever We are doing. I'm usually outside (whatever the weather), removing problem plants, generally weeding, planting, painting, building dry stone walls, making paths, moving stones or working on out-buildings. If the weather is very poor we may be carrying out internal renovations/building work. In the main...

Hello, I Luvertin or family of Mombracco e’ a farm born in 2016 from zero, we renovated an old building and built the first stable for our goats with our own hands, with sacrifice and dedication we have recovered abandoned land and we are still doing it. Over the years we have participated in development projects and have built a new stable and a new wooden building, we have built the dairy to produce cheese. We are now producing and selling our products. We'd love to find some of the people who can help us on our journey. We need to start over with a family garden, raising chickens for self-consumption. We need to expand spaces for the family that has grown up and for guests. Claudio is’ really skilled new manual labor and can't wait to pair him with a handsome man to teach him and build something beautiful! Our e’ family of Claudio and Jessica with 6 children aged 14, 12, 10, 8, 5 and 0! We live in a fabulous area of the COTTIAN Alps! Monviso in the Po Valley, on the Mombracco....

Tena koe, nau mai, haramai ki Tokomaru Bay, a small, predominately Maori seaside community on the East Coast. We live on a four acre lifestyle block in the peaceful Kaiawha Valley about a two minute drive from the village and the beach. There is a 4 Square Supermarket, a cafe and a tavern in the village. We have a room with a queen bed in a sleep out, with helpers own separate lounge/kitchenette. Access to washing machine. The bathroom is inside the main house located a few metres away. Most of the work we require is gardening, landscaping, milking cow, feeding animals, preserving food, servicing our Bed and Breakfast (List 1 Historic Places building) firewood, weed eating, mowing and general maintenance. Jan is a teacher and does some casual relieving and Bill works from home developing Te Reo Maori learning resources for our local tribe and teaches Te Reo Maori one day a week. We think 'whanau' so we like to include you in nearly all of our whanau activities.

We extend a warm invitation to you to join us on our friendly farm by the seaside. We have availability from July 26th to the end of the year — all beautiful times of year here, when everything is either waking up again or settling in for s slower pace and the island feels full of fresh energy or is lulling off to sleep. Please inquire for availability during any time of the year. Joining us is a lovely chance to slow down, breathe, and really feel nature all around you. We’re right by the seaside, so you can live close to the water, enjoy the long light, and settle into the rhythm of rural coastal life. There’s always plenty to learn and experience here, and we’re delighted to welcome helpers who enjoy great scenery, good purpose, and a peaceful place to land for a while. If the timing suits you, we’d be very happy to take a look at hosting you and if you already have some farm experience we especially welcome you! ...

This is a small project in a heritage farm house in beautiful Lower Saxony. We are at the moment three people, two cats and some chickens. We speak German, English, French and Spanish. Our house is in the middle of the village, and we enjoy the contact to the people around us. We've got an idyllic yard and sometimes do parties or small cultural events - this year, we are taking a break though to concentrate on some bigger building projects. Otherwise, we cook together, or just hang out. Most of us are working/studying, so you might spend some time alone around the house - or you can go swimming in our local swimming pool, biking or hiking around the village or visit the World Heritage sites in nearby Hildesheim! Help needed around the year would mainly be renovation/restoration, e.g. plastering, painting, maybe some carpentry (as in improving the chicken coop or, if you feel like it, restoring old furniture), but we are also happy if you help with the house work, the garden, or cookin...

We are an operating farm. Mostly silviculture. We farm mostly trees. We are situated in one of the largest Cork Tree areas in the world.Mediterranean forest ecoystems are considered one of the most important ecosystems right after Virgin Forests. We also have lots of pine trees both for lumber and also for pine nuts. Cork and pine nut trees are a very sustainable resource as their lifespan is over 200 years and they produce cork and pine nuts during that time. We pride ourselves for being an environmentally responsible farm and we enjoy teaching volunteers and visitors about what we do. We are a Forest Stewardship Council certified farm. FSC is a worldwide recognized organization that certifies socially and environmentally respectful organizations like ours, that harbour and follow, strict guidelines for workers, neighbouring populations and the environment. We are audited on a regular basis. From the agricultural antiques you may be cleaning and organizing, to working in the gardens. W...

Preference will be given to helpers with a genuine interest in learning about NZ dairy farming and animal husbandry. We love sharing what we do and prefer to host helpers with a desire to learn. We run a boutique dairy farm, milking a small herd of much loved cows and selling raw milk to our wonderful customers Starting a new business is hard work and not for the faint-hearted. If you consider yourself up for the challenge of helping us, we'd love to hear from you! We offer a family environment with opportunities for farm work, housework, gardening and cooking. There is a wide variety of work available. Working with the animals of course, weed control, plus fencing work, painting, carpentry, building and lots of different small tasks to complete. If outdoor work doesn't appeal, help in the house with cooking and cleaning is always appreciated, and the large and previously neglected garden also requires a lot of work. We try to fit the work to each helper's skills and interests, and ...

We farm sheep and beef in the heart of the Catlins, in Tawanui at the start of the popular Catlins river walk. The farm consists of sheep, cattle, four rideable horses and some coloured pet Gotland sheep along with an array of wild deer roaming the hill. Help will consist of some stock work, some fencing, maintenance of all sorts, gardening, firewood and general helping around the house. Always having fun and a good laugh as we work. I don't travel so its nice to meet people from all walks of life and learn about there culture. If you are keen for some work, and want to meet some locals and enjoy the breath taking Catlins, please get in contact.

Autonomy for everyone, especially for you and us at mealtime ... Resources are shared according to the availability of the moment. More possibilities if my children are not there, less if I have other guests ... fortuitous ... In the meantime we have no shortage of space in the garden to let you plant your tent or you lend a space... This is the minimum we can guarantee. A cabin is also available on the family sailboat ... Here too, there is work ... The room with double bed of the house is not often free for our helper sometimes the chance does things well, ask what you want, we are in French Polynesia climate is stable all year ;-) We will not ask for more than 2 or 3 hours of help a day in exchange we plan to lodge without food, although fruits from the garden are still part of the tradition of sharing the house... It's up to you to do your shopping and your dish washing and cleaning up after, the load will be in our situation not equitable otherwise.

Spring May 5, 2026 - opening and for the month of MAY :) Wow, exploring right outside our backdoor along side the Campbell River on Vancouver Island, is a beautiful place to experience Vancouver Island`s great outdoors this SPRING with all the wild life right in our back yard :) Although we live on a one acre town lot, our back yard is situated on a cliff over looking an accessible beautiful heritage river, with a nature park setting of ferns, Douglas fir, maple and alder trees. You can often see deer, raccoons, bears and the silver backs of salmon and Steelhead fish jumping in the ebb and flow of the river’s pools. We have trail access to the river below, where you can enjoy listening to the sing song of many birds, tubing down the river/swimming in the heat of the summer, and trying your hand at casting for Steelhead fish. As well, our neighborhood is the access point to many scenic nature hiking, walking and biking trails. The ocean photo was taken a couple of miles from my home a...

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . Looking for Helpers right through busy summer and autumn months. Plenty going on during summer, shearing, stock work, fencing, weed control, garden tidying, lawn mowing, lots of tractor driving etc. It would be great to have some strong keen helpers to help fix fences and do some building work. Our family of 4 (2 kids - 16 & 18 years old) live on a beautiful sheep and beef farm with large woodland garden and organic vegetable garden. We need help with stock work, general farming tasks, gardening, cooking etc. We're 40 minutes from Nelson, 15 minutes from Motueka. It's an idyllic rural setting with excellent access to rivers, mountains, mountain biking, Abel Tasman & Kahurangi National Parks etc. with easy access to some of the best fly fishing rivers in NZ (and the world!) There's 4-6 hours work per day depending on tasks. Plenty of flexibility to work full days and have plenty of time off to explore. Hello Helpers! We are Deborah and Malcolm: artists and retired art and design lecturers. Our home is surrounded by a beautiful garden with fantastic sea views in a quiet residential area of Torquay on the English Riviera. One photograph shows the view from our home overlooking the sea of Lyme Bay, with other photos of our garden plus a 'Hello' photograph of us. For many years, we were a host family for students learning English at local language schools and we enjoy teaching visitors about our language and culture. We have enjoyed hosting Helpers from across the world through HelpX since 2023. Torquay is in the English Riviera UNESCO Global Geopark, a beautiful area of interesting geology with the caves: Kents Cavern, just under the hill from our home. The South West Coast path, Babbacombe Cliff Railway, Torre Abbey, Torquay Museum with an Agatha Christie Gallery and Cockington village and craft centre are easy walking distance from our home. Hi beautiful people! I’m Christine, a happy spirited former language and arts teacher working across two continents. Since I retired I work in the natural health field. I live on an urban block called The Roo‘s Pouch, where I maintain a sustainable vegetable garden and created a community of nice people living with me. I live in one of the buildings on this sunny property which runs on rainwater harvesting. We avoid chlorine and contaminates by filtering, harmonizing, and energizing our own water though Ionisation. Water conservation is part of life for me. You can come to Maryborough via plane, bus or train. The Hervey Bay Airport is only 30min from my home. There are meanwhile several bus companies to choose from. If you use the train please book Maryborough town from the drop down menu. The shuttle bus from the train station in Maryborough west (20 min out of town) is free of charge if it is pre-booked. Hobbits are "little people" with big hearts and big bare feet firmly connected with mother earth. They habitually live "under the radar" of some PC embellished society and try all their best to not succumb to the madness of it. Claiming their birth right to nature's abundance, love, beauty and endless creativity they naturally make up to and make do with the lack of gold caused by the greedy child-eating dragon behind the bare stone mountains.. Hi, my name is Marianne. I live on a classic New Zealand all-day sunny "tree quarter acre of hobbit shire" looking down to Oamaru. If you arrive early enough at my kitchen window or even up on the jungle hill behind the cottage, you can see the sea and watch the sunrise. A 10 minute stroll down Eden Street gets you either to the CBD or to the shoreline. I am providing three basic meals per day as well as a comfortable and quiet room for your stay and to relax after our daily four hours of working together "out there", somewhere on some befitt...

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) Cheers Al

Hello, we are Petra and Dieter (64 and 65 years old), both studied agricultural engineering and we run a small family business producing a variety of unique products. We have planted over 2500 roses, from which we create various delicacies and raw materials for cosmetics. We also have fruit trees for our small distillery. Petra's mother, Bärbel, and our old cat Lucie live with us in the house. Our daughters Sophia and Veronika and their family come to visit us every week and also help out in the business from time to time. Our work varies depending on the season. In March and April, we are busy pruning our 2500 roses and tilling the land to mechanically remove the weeds. Then, depending on the weather, our rose harvest usually starts in mid-May. This means we need to harvest the roses fresh from the field in the early morning and then process them at home for the individual products. Depending on their quality, the roses are dried, frozen, or processed fresh. The harvest typically la...

The village Ahrbrück is in the middle of Germany nestled in the beautiful red wine region known as Ahrtal, a few train stations (*) away from Koeln and Bonn. The landscape here is very green and lush offering a variety of options for local tourism and recreation. I am a 55 years old traveller, who studied fruit farming, and keen on house building. I travel a lot in winter to other places in Europe mostly with caravan, I did couchsurfing and made in Portugal Wwoofing last years. It`s okay if you don`t speak German, I am also an English and Spanish speaker. Now I`m currently in the process of making a transition in my life. I have a nice but unfinished house in Kesseling for gathering for artistic, and nature-loving people. It is a work in progress which requires both time and effort, and I need help to make my dream come true! So, if there are any Helpers out there interested in my project, I look forward to welcoming you into my home. Longer staying helpers can do art. I have ve...

This is an exciting opportunity to have an experience that will stay with you throughout your life. Our Foundation aims at helping rural children receive a qualitative outstanding education. We have a volunteer teaching program to assist rural teachers and children get exposure to foreign languages and cultures. Because English is the second language in Thai schools, we concentrate on improving the English language skills of both rural teachers and children. At present, we aim to help 4 public elementary schools (grades 1 - 6) close to Chiang Mai. We are currently taking applications for volunteers who would available to start sometime between mid-May and the end of June and commit to at least 8 weeks . We are looking for volunteers to teach English only. Couples are welcome as well. NOTE: We do not charge volunteers any fees for staying with us. Hello travellers, and a warm welcome to beautiful Olinda - I am Vita and delighted to host you. **Currently seeking Helper/s who can work in the garden or use a chainsaw to cut fire wood. Or a carpenter who can help repair weather damaged external timber windows. Or someone with mechanical experience to service chainsaw and lawn mowers. Quiet, old wooden house in central Dunedin. Excellent location for local shops, cafes, and public transport, with the city center a 20-minute walk down the hill. House is up off the road surrounded by trees, very private. Beautiful well-established garden with lots of native plants (trees, bushes, ferns, etc.), local birdlife, and a large deck that's sunny most of the day. Up high on the hill with views out over the sea and harbour; lovely sunsets until well into the evening. Perfect for exploring Dunedin if you want a peaceful and conveniently located stay. Bilingual household with travelling and sailing experience. Looking for someone to do outside work around the house--weeding in the garden / trimming / /preparing for winter, as well as exterior house/window cleaning, and (if time allows) some light sanding/ top-up painting on trim. Guest bedroom available; you have your own space & bathroom.

This is a language cafe is designed for those who are willing to meet Korean locals and the ones from overseas. We provide them with the time and the place to meet and get to know each other while have conversations in English. I know from my experience that travelling or staying in other countries is not just doing sightseeing but experiencing the real life there. Here we try to bond them together as friends. If you are looking for something that can give you a chance to meet locals and to be mingled with them, this would be the best option for you. About the program : This is about the language practice and sharing their cultures, experiences and the thoughts. As long as you are an easygoing person to talk, open-minded and fluent in English, you can join us. As we are NOT looking for English teachers, it really doesn't matter which country you're from and you don't have to teach but have a conversation in English. And basically it is a 2 way conversation so you don't have to ta...

Welcome to Okayama Prefecture, Japan. We are in the process of starting and developing three unique properties: A traditional two-story Japanese house, modern and comfortable guesthouse, and a quiet house in the hills surrounded by nature. We are looking for open-minded people to help us improve, prepare, and soon to operate these spaces. Tasks can vary depending on your interests and skills, and we are happy to discuss whatever suits you best! Whether you enjoy online work, marketing, social media, simple home renovation, guesthouse management, or just want an opportunity to experience life in Okayama, you are very welcome here. This project is as much about cultural exchange, creativity, and learning as it is about helping around the house.

Or a Helper with sewing skills and can use a sewing machine. Or a helper who can restore and refinish furniture. I appreciate self-starters and Helpers with initiative, who do not always need to be told what to do and are capable of putting in a full days work. Weeding and garden work is always a go-to if you are waiting instructions. Helpers will sometimes be left to work by themselves as I don’t always have time to supervise them.

Nestled in the coastal range of Mendocino County, California (about 45 minutes Northwest of Ukiah) we are establishing a small farm and wildlife sanctuary.  Based on principles of sustainability & permaculture our expanding ridge top garden and orchards consist of a variety of fruits, veggies, herbs and flowers.  Aside from garden and orchard tasks additional projects may include gathering seaweed and other native wild foods, cooking, canning, fermenting foods, making herbal preparations, habitat restoration, brush and trail clearing, small scale green building and learning how to build and maintain an off-grid infrastructure and solar system. Please read all of our information before contacting us. We require a one month minimum stay, and currently we have space beginning July 1st. Our homestead is remote and therefore not for everyone. We prefer those who want to unplug and enjoy the serenity of a mountain forest. If you are open minded, physically fit, want to get your hands di...
