I, Christine, am living with my daughter Bess on an urban block. I am maintaining the vegetable garden and the house by myself. I occupy with her one of the three buildings on the property. The corner block is in a suburb of Maryborough. There are 3 public parks surrounding us and we are close to the Mary River. There are lots of kangaroos to observe in these parks. We are only 30 min by car from the ocean in Hervey Bay. I love to cook and have good conversations around the dinner table.. I offer for single or couple a bedroom with bathroom. Since we are on tank water I respectfully ask visitors to be water conscious when showering. The tasks: Depending on the season the vegetable garden needs topping up soil and mulch, weeding, some trimming of hedges, some maintenance on the house like painting some areas outside (wooden Queenslander), maintaining the gutters and cleaning various areas. Depending on your skills there are more complex tasks available. In exchange for food and acco...

My wife Dana and I Oliver live with our 4 kids, Tara(20), Lea(11), Ronja(5) and Alva(3), on an old farm, that we have bought in 2020, in a small village at the edge of the wester forest 25km outside Bonn. When we bought the farm it was in a rather poor condition and it took us about 2 years to renovate the house using alternative building materials as wood wool or clay as much as possible. The house we have more or less finished but the rest of the farm still needs same attention. The idea is to create a place where human can live in harmony with and from nature. Currently we have about 40 Galloway’s, 5 horses, 6 sheep, 1 dog, 2 cats, a docent chicken, 2 bee colonies and a small vegetable garden. We hope one day we will produce egnough so that the farm feeds us and the people living with us but to get there it is still a long way. When I was younger I travelled a lot. The biggest trip was a two years motorbike tour from Germany to New Zealand. But also spend some time in Africa as wel...

BULLETIN: I live in a beautiful isolated Tasmanian mountain valley surrounded by world heritage rain forest and some VERY TALL Trees!(but not as big as the Hinoki trees at AliShan in Taiwan!!) Most of my property is a nature reserve, but I have a 2 Hectare orchard, berry garden and vegetable garden which are all useless! The possums, wallabies and birds eat most of these (trees included!) so we live on ice cream and chocolate biscuits instead! Please come and help us eat the biscuits so I don`t get too fat! Many of them have come back for second, third…or even 10th visits!!!!! Work can be really diverse including tree planting, mowing grass, helping to install forest fire...

We have a beautiful 6 hectare property in a really awesome valley. We have animals, a stream, lots of things growing. We have a large 3 bedroom house. We have a warm modern caravan for helpers to sleep in and all the other amenities are in the house. We have 3 awesome kids (only two live at home) and a great family vibe. We need help with working the land and making it as productive as we can. We need people who are hard working and take initiative. Prior experience is great but if you are a fast learner and up for a challenge then that is great too. A love of animals is definitely helpful as well. Projects include - gardening, building, organising, helping with animals, help around the house, fencing, tree planting and more. Cheers Regan and Lisa

We have hosting availability from September 2, 2025. Hi there, we are a very busy homeschooling family of 5, consisting of me (mama), my husband, and our 3 children - 12, 10, and 4 years old. We live in the scenically beautiful Westshore area of Greater Victoria. Our family has traveled a great deal and we have always enjoyed meeting people from other countries, and hope others will also enjoy experiencing all that our part of Canada has to offer! One of our family’s interests is enjoying the nature that surrounds us as we live close to beaches, parks, forests, and trails. This is our 4th year hosting, and in this time we have welcomed around 25 individuals ranging from the ages of 18 - 70yrs old into our home. Through the years we have also learned which volunteers are most suited for our family and vice versa. We have taken a lot of time to write our profile and to be as detailed as possible. We would really like to avoid running into problems with any guests but instead continue ...

Minimum stay three nights.Accommodation (for a single person or female couple) is in a private room with a double-bed. (Pictured). I can also add a single camp-bed in this room if helpers are two women who don't share a bed. Hey, I’m Anton! 👋 I’ve got a big comfy house and I’m on the lookout for some cool singles or couples to join me and my housemates in a help exchange kind of setup. Basically, you get a place to stay, and in return, give us a hand with easy stuff like a bit of cleaning, some gardening, and general “keep the place looking nice” kind of jobs. Nothing crazy — just the small things that make a big difference. Every now and then, we might share a meal, hang out, or just have a good laugh over a cuppa. It’s super laid-back here — no strict rules, just a friendly vibe where everyone chips in and feels at home. If you’re easy-going, love meeting new people, and like the idea of swapping a bit of help for a cozy place to stay, hit me up! 🏡✨

My husband Matthias and I, Johanna, came from Germany as backpackers in the 1980s. We met here in NZ, but our home language is German. We are a family with eight children, three of them married, and five grandchildren. Three of our children are living at home (1 of them home-schooling, 2 working). Our oldest son with his wife and 4 young boys has moved back to our property two years ago, - now living in our cottage; another son with his wife and baby has moved into a smaller house on our property. And a friend lives in our housetruck. So life is happening to the full! Sadly, my husband passed away in January 2024 after a short time of intense illness. We miss him much! Our lifestyle block is home to a gaggle of geese, a flock of domestic ducks, around 40 chickens, some sheep and sometimes a few young male goats, - and of course many wild birds, rabbits and the tiny creatures of fields, woods and duck-pond. An old apple, apricot and peach orchard and a young walnut grove are also part...

Our lifestyle block is home to a gaggle of geese, a flock of domestic ducks, around 40 chickens, some sheep and sometimes a few young male goats, - and of course many wild birds, rabbits and the tiny creatures of fields, woods and duck-pond.
