Are you looking for a fun adventure in Iceland? We need someone pretty strong for a week, to clean out in our little sheep stable. My husband usually does this, but his back has big problems now, so he can't, and I (the lady farmer here) am not strong enough. Coming sometime in September or early October 2026. You need to: Have no big dietary obstacles (not vegetarian, pescaterian or such). Food and accommodation provided on the farm without extra charge.

Hobbits are "little people" with big hearts and big bare feet firmly connected with mother earth. They habitually live "under the radar" of some PC embellished society and try all their best to not succumb to the madness of it. Claiming their birth right to nature's abundance, love, beauty and endless creativity they naturally make up to and make do with the lack of gold caused by the greedy child-eating dragon behind the bare stone mountains.. Hi, my name is Marianne. I live on a classic New Zealand all-day sunny "tree quarter acre of hobbit shire" looking down to Oamaru. If you arrive early enough at my kitchen window or even up on the jungle hill behind the cottage, you can see the sea and watch the sunrise. A 10 minute stroll down Eden Street gets you either to the CBD or to the shoreline. I am providing three basic meals per day as well as a comfortable and quiet room for your stay and to relax after our daily four hours of working together "out there", somewhere on some befitt...

Hi there we are Kate and Regan, we have two daughters Madison who is 12 and Mila who is 10. We live in a peaceful, tranquil valley in the Bay of Plenty surrounded by hills and forest. Kate is a vet and Regan is a professional horse trainer specialising in rescue horses and starting young horses under saddle. Regan requires help with the horses, the horses arrive in batches and take around 6 weeks to train, when they arrive they have barely been handled, when they leave they are able to be safely ridden by a competent rider. He also works with problem and rescue horses. The work entails caring for horses, general groom responsibilities, assisting with training the young horses, riding lead ponies to guide the young horses and general day to day farm duties. We expect our helpers to work an average of 4 hours per day in return for room and board. Regan is a patient teacher, if you are wanting to expand your horsemanship knowledge, he will make sure he takes time throughout the horse ...

We are fully booked up now until early December. Thank you. We are a married couple who have been working at improving the old farmhouse we live in for the past twenty years. We are in our late forties but are young at heart:) We have two big dogs and a cat. Ideally you are open minded, flexible and positive even when it's raining or tasks are challenging. You are independent regarding your free time. You are focused on your work and not distracted by technology and you are physically able. You demonstrate care for the environment by having short showers , recycling properly, using environmentally friendly products for washing (e.g.by using soap , no chemicals) and by turning off lights when they are not necessary. You will have your own bedroom with wifi access and will share the bathroom with us. There is a couch in our open plan kitchen where you can relax in the evening. Maybe you would like to give yoga or meditation a try with Anne-Marie who is a qualified yoga and medita...

NOTICE: DUE TO HEATWAVE HAVE LEFT FRANCE FOR COOLER PASTURES, WILL BE BACK IN SEPTEMBER. Hi, I’m Toby, 48, from the UK. I am slowly bringing back to life a beautiful old French farm property in the Dordogne. It was previously renovated into a 16-bedroom hotel back in 1990 and sits in peaceful rural countryside, surrounded by sunshine, wildlife, vineyards and quiet country views. The house is in the French wine region between Bergerac and Saint-Émilion, around 60 km from Bordeaux and just a few kilometres from Sainte-Foy-la-Grande train station. At the moment I am working on site mostly on my own while my family is back in the UK. Replacing windows, protecting the house from the weather and keeping the garden under control has become a lot of work, so I would really appreciate some friendly help. I used HelpX once before and had a good experience, so I thought I would try again this year. The kind of help I need: The work is not usually very technical or heavy. It would mostly b...

We are located in the heart of Malaga, one of Europe's most exciting and diverse cities. With its vibrant cultural scene, world-class museums, historic landmarks, countless cafés, parks, and excellent public transport. I would kindly ask you to help with painting, fencing, gardening, sweeping leaves, cleaning and maintaining the house, as well as feeding and caring for the animals. There is plenty of space to relax and enjoy your free time. You will have your own private room, and I will provide breakfast and one warm meal each day. If you enjoy cooking in a holistic and nutritious way, you are more than welcome to do so. I am always happy to share my knowledge about healthy food and learn from others as well. I am not just looking for someone to help with daily tasks—I would like to offer a meaningful cultural exchange and create a positive experience together. If you are interested in meditation, mindfulness, personal growth, or self-discovery, this could be the right place for you. ...

Need helpers NOW in beautiful, sunny Marlborough! In return for 4 hours help a day I offer you accommodation and all meals in a sunny, warm home where you will have your own bedroom (queen size bed) and own bathroom with the added privacy of being in a separate wing of my house. My sunny home sits atop a hill from which you will have a magnificent view of the township of Blenheim to Cook Strait and the hills of the North Island beyond. Of course if you would prefer to work a full day in order to have a day off in which you could explore the nearby Marlborough Sounds, cycle the wine trails, or walk or climb on any of the formed tracks in this area, that would be just fine. My 40 ha property is a sheep/beef farm most of which is leased. I tend a large garden and care for the drive and tracks, drainage and irrigation and deal with fallen trees. It is help with this work I require.. Therefore most of the work is outdoor, constantly varied, not difficult, with some indoors work on occ...

"When the power of love overcomes the love of power,
the world will know peace." Jimi Hendrix ⭒ Beautiful people ⭒ Welcome to our (almost) 100 years old home in a little village, half an hour from the sea, near forests reached by bike, 1 hour from bigger cities worth visiting.
We renovate with as much as possible recycled - sustainable materials. My little paradise garden is still in progress, wondrous, self-sufficient as possible, permaculture - foodforestwise. Silent cold dip in the ༄ pond༄ is possible. My son and I live here, with 2 lovely cats, chickens and in summer hedgehog at night, dragonflies, bees, birds and salamanders in the pond :-). I'd like to create a space for conscious people to share music, art, healing, spirituality,… anything which includes conscious natural living, as food for the soul. ⭒ HELP ⭒ Very various, house or garage and outside. Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) , please don't come if you have a heavy cold or flu, I'm involved with the elderly. Cheers Al

In 2005, my husband Terje and I, became the proud owners of this place and we spent the next 15 years renovating the property. Today we offer short-term accommodation in this historical building. Guests come to visit from all over the world. They come to Odda and the Hardanger area to experience and explore our unique landscape with glaziers, fjords, mountains, waterfalls, valleys and lakes. Hiking to Trolltunga is undoubtedly the most popular of the tourist attractions offered here in Odda. Other less famous attractions are just as breath-taking. We are a family of seven, with four daughters and a foster son, but our three eldest daughters have recently moved out to work and study. We would be most grateful if you would like to come and live with us, and help us with the housekeeping; cleaning, change of bedlinen, reception work, payments, as well as maintenance, carpentry, painting, gardening, childcare, pet care, and other activities like going fishing and having fun. Our farm is in a remote and magical scenic area of the outer Marlborough Sounds. We have a number of cattle and their calves, hens, our dog Trixie, our cat Elmo, 2 friendly pet sheep, Ivan and Mavis. There are always interesting things that need attending to on the farm and in our vegetable garden. We have many areas of garden and regenerating native bush. Plenty of variety on the projects. We have good beaches and nice walks. Your own transport is the easiest or there is a passenger service from Rai Valley Village. Check out our website if you need public transport and you can message us anytime. GENERAL INFORMATION We grow most of our own vegetables. We make compost and use animal manures as fertilisers. Rita is a health-food enthusiast and loves to work with different kinds of art-craft. She likes to explore Medicinal plants, Food preservation and fermentation, Hygiene products and teaching Forest School. Walking in the nature, singing with friends and doing yoga are some of the other things she enjoys. Gonçalo is a nature lover with a passion for Permaculture and Natural Farming. Me and my friends live in neighbouring fields in the beautiful beach village of Mirtos. We are Katerine, Marco and Yvonne. We can also communicate in Greek but it isn't on the language list!!!! :-) September-October only for campers (in our caravan, a tent or your own van) (see below) We have different projects that we are looking to guide volunteers and helpers with, depending on which season we are. From September/ October on we'll mainly do gardening work and house building. In November we'll do additionally the olive harvest. We are building a small pallet-clay-straw house which will be my home here. From September/ October on we'll go on to plaster the house with clay/lime and do other things in the house. Also we'll do some gardening work: the plan is to create a beautiful, permaculture based oasis around the pallet house. This needs some work, since the field lied fallow for a long time. We are happy for ideas and helpers! Also there is always work on our fields like pruning, ...

Farm & Country Life – HelpX Opportunity We’re looking for someone who would enjoy spending some time living in a genuine rural farm environment and getting involved with everyday life on the property. This would suit someone who enjoys being outdoors, likes practical work and is happy to get stuck in. You don’t need to be a farmer or have any particular qualifications. Common sense, reliability and a willingness to have a go are far more important. The work is varied and will mainly involve helping keep the property and grounds looking good. Tasks could include: * Mowing lawns and grass areas * Strimming and general grounds maintenance * Chopping, stacking and moving logs * General outdoor jobs and maintenance * Keeping yards, paths and working areas tidy * Helping with occasional jobs around the farm * Some help with the animals when required, although this is only a small part of the role There is no expectation that you already know how to do everything. We’re happy to show you...

We are a 4-star boutique resort near the quiet white sands of Bai Sao in southern Phu Quoc, and we are looking for 4-5 volunteers a month for our upcoming summer season. In June and July, we need simple maintenance volunteers willing to help with general upkeep. In July and August, our focus shifts entirely to our summer English camp, where we need enthusiastic volunteer teachers to run group classes for kids and lead conversational English sessions for our staff. While you will be living on-site at a 4-star resort with access to our pool, gym, and spa, this is a real-world, active hotel with high standards. We are looking for adaptable, community-minded people who show up ready to be useful, dress appropriately in guest areas, and treat the space with care. Volunteers have a coordinator, a schedule, and clear expectations. But we're also on a tropical island, and that shows. The day-to-day is relaxed, the team is warm, and nobody's watching over your shoulder. Your main point of co...

Welcome! Our family owned and operated certified organic livestock farm in North Central British Columbia is excited to have you stay and become a part of everything we have going on. We’ve been operating since 2008, primarily raising Berkshire pigs, Dexter cattle, Katahdin sheep, laying hens, broiler chickens and of course bronze breasted turkeys for thanksgiving and Christmas. On top of that, we’re home to two Labrador retrievers (Ned and Nelly), 3 outdoor cats, and a family of Muscovy ducks. In other words, you will never find yourself not in the company of animals! Aside from livestock, we have recently built a small farm store / café that cooks the meat raised on the farm. We also take pride in creating all recipes from scratch, from the sauces to the buns of the burgers. Currently only operating during the summer months, 3 days per week. It’s been a lot of work, but a great way to get more people out to the farm, eating good food and connecting with the community. We also proce...

- Space available from now until 24th October and 17th November onwards. **Please note that we ask that all enquiries include a proposed arrival and departure date, we also usually arrange a quick video call to confirm volunteers have sufficient English to communicate with other staff and customers** We are a busy, free-hold pub with brewery and gin distillery in a small village beside the sea in North Devon. We serve real ales, home-made food, and run regular music nights, games night and discussion groups. We are busy with holiday-makers and residents alike, and the pub is an important part of the community here. Depending on the length of stay and time of year, volunteers might find themselves helping with general maintenance, cleaning and organising or assisting in the kitchen- helping service run smoothly during lunchtime and evening sessions. There are excellent hiking and biking trails nearby, and beaches of Lake Simcoe are only 20 minutes away by car, one hour by bike. We will be happy to drive you there. Two bicycles and high speed WiFi is available. We have two dogs and two cats. We are located one hour north of Toronto - accessible by Go Transit to Newmarket, where we will pick you up. The permaculture project and the Farm develop in the social, historical and urban fabric of the town of Modica (RG), mainly between the Fontana, Dente and Pennino districts. We actively collaborate with other projects in the province, from which we learn a lot. We live a sober, frugal, healthy life. We follow, in a somewhat radical way, the ethics of Permaculture and many of its principles. After a period of training in horticulture and spiritual reconnection in the Loire in a Sōtō Zen temple, a PDC at Il Filo di Paglia (Comiso) and two years of agricultural experiences of the most varied in south-eastern Sicily, we feel ready to open ourselves to volunteers , willing and passionate who want to live, share and exchange within in this vibrant and beautiful setting. The Mediterranean Sea is just 20 minutes by train (Sampieri train station). We've got a 17th century house for the project (Oct. 2022), quite abandoned for more than one year: Plenty of work has been already done, some mino...

We are a Portuguese couple with experience on permaculture and self-sufficient-living that in 2015 got 15ha of abundant land in a beautiful valley and an amazing community at the highest mountains inside the biggest natural park of our country. Studied Organic Agronomy and has been practicing it since 2008, with the help of volunteers, interns and apprentices. He enjoys sharing and to make music with friends.

Every day will be full of activities, such as one-to-one conversations, group debates or presentations and social time in the evening. This is an invaluable cultural exchange where every individual will gain new knowledge and make international friends. Join us for an amazing trip! To be considered, you must be a native English speaker (we can take non native English speakers for youth/junior courses) You do not need to have any prior teaching experience! The accommodation is in hotels near Poznan. You will share a room with a native speaker of the same gender for our programs. On the day before our programs begin, there is an evening meetup in Poznań that includes a free meal and drink. Free return transportation from Poznań to the...

Kitchen work is mainly washing dishes and helping keep things tidy during service, carrying food to tables, etc. The nature and duratio...

Check out our fantastic reviews to see what a great time helpers have had here. We offer a warm, welcoming home with a beautiful garden in easy-going Rotorua. PLEASE READ OUR PROFILE CAREFULLY BEFORE CONTACTING US. UPDATE: 🌟 We could really do with a capable person to assist with painting a room in late August (Marcus can patiently teach you how to be an excellent painter). Minimum age: 25, with good English. Accommodation: Excellent accommodation - immaculate Airbnb standard room and house. Your own private double bedroom in a spacious home with a lovely garden. We have been fully vaccinated and will welcome helpers who have also been fully vaccinated. My niece and I have a scenic country home on two acres with spectacular views of rolling hills. On your days off, we will gladly take you to Newmarket to catch the train/bus to Toronto. We can do the cooking but are happy to share the cooking, and will welcome any specialties you may have. We do not cook vegan or gluten free. If you are vegan or gluten free, then you should probably look for a different host. Also please note that this is also a no smoking, no vaping and no drugs home, and that you must have medical insurance for Canada, ...

I once volunteered as a helper in Australia and met many kind and interesting hosts. I benefited a lot from the experience. That’s why I want to give back on this platform and warmly welcome travelers to experience real local life in China. We are a warm, friendly and harmonious family living in a quiet and beautiful countryside village in Yangzhou, Jiangsu, China. Transportation is very convenient: only 15 minutes drive to Yangzhou Airport, and 25 minutes to the high-speed railway station. My father is a professional doctor with a private clinic at home. If you are interested in Traditional Chinese Medicine, you are welcome to visit and learn TCM culture every day. My mother cooks extremely delicious authentic Huaiyang home-cooked meals for you every day. I am a professional yoga teacher. I often travel abroad to organize international Yoga Retreats, and I also run cross-border foreign trade business at home. We keep a healthy, peaceful and positive lifestyle. We provide a...
