Would like an energetic couple or single person to help out with gardening, and housework. We would expect about 4-5 hours help a day in return for free accommodation and meals. Large bedroom and own bathroom. We have animals so, would prefer someone who enjoyed them being around. There are many wonderful places to explore in Hawkes Bay when you are not working. Fantastic cycle ways, tramping trips into the native bush areas, beaches and wonderful wineries. Prefer you to have your own car to get around and beable to see the region.

“Teach children in rural Thailand • Live in a Thai village • Authentic cultural exchange.” Since 2013, our small family-run project Volunt2Thai has welcomed more than 700 volunteers from around the world. Together, they have supported over 4,000 less privileged children in rural North-East Thailand. Each semester, around **650 children** from **12 schools in 12 villages** take part in our programs. Life here is deeply rooted in nature and authentic village life — surrounded by rice fields, small farms, fish ponds, and peaceful countryside, far away from cities and tourism. At the heart of our project is the **V2T Campus**, a unique space for learning, cultural exchange, and community support. Set within a traditional Thai farm environment, the campus offers volunteers a peaceful and inspiring place to live and grow. It includes comfortable bungalows, a family room with veranda upstairs, seminar corners, a modern communal outdoor kitchen, a food forest with herb garden, a gym, sports ...

The work involves collecting bee hives for honey extraction and queen bee rearing this gives us plenty of time to explore. In spare time we can go to the local Rivers (Baron Gorge), local swimming holes or hiking. Task also involve house work and gardening. I'm getting a new house built in beautiful Wanaka - and while that’s happening I'm getting native New Zealand trees planted all around it. To help them along, and to keep the weeds under control, we’re putting mulch around them. And that’s where we need help. The mulch is like hay. It's dry and can be picked up in blocks. We just have to spread it out under the little trees. No experience needed and pretty easy. I’ve already got Kay from Taiwan helping me through HelpX, but we just realised it’s a bigger job than we thought and we could do with some help! While it’s being built I’m renting a large 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom house that's right in the middle of town, which is where you’ll stay. It’s a 5 min walk to the lake and town. It's got a modern kitchen, heat pumps, fireplace and 2 lounges. Stunning views of the lake and mountains from the house. Your room has a comfy queen sized bed, ensuite and walk in wardrobe. I’ve got e-bikes you can use too. We’ll drive the 5km to the propert...

First time HelpXing? This is the place for you… “Work is love made visible” …Kahlil Gibran If you understand the above quotation then you are the HELPER I want. Please, read EVERYTHING below before requesting hosting. I have only recently returned from a volunteer project in Fiji. Now I am renovating a very old miner's cottage on a half-acre in a cute rural village in central NSW. The Cottage is about 150 years old, built originally with timber that was milled on-site by hand. The original Cypress Pine slabs stand vertical. The cottage is being creatively renovated to display its history and highlight modern, country, lifestyle. The grounds are destined to be turned into organic food gardens and a native species garden. Room for you in-house or caravan. YOU could learn a lot about the Aussie lifestyle, sustainable living, alternative building ...AND have a lot of fun, if you choose to HelpX with Donny. Namaste! Welcome to our farm and family. We are established as small organic farmers with our parents since 1995, working with Himalayan Permaculture Center based in Surkhet (western part of Nepal). We are a permaculture family with two generation, three of us have our PDC but we are all invested in our land. We are five and three of us speak quite good English but our parent English is simpler, so you will learn some Nepali! If you want to discover the traditional Nepali lifestyle and learn about culture and festival in the Katmandu valley, and also in the same time learn and share your knowledge about permaculture, you are at the good place! Only fifteen minutes by taxi from Thamel (you can also come by bus). You are more than welcome in this nice place that looks like a village. On our land, we grow many different classic vegetables (Tomato, cucumber, peas, potato, onion, garlic…) and we also grow some cereals (wheat, rice…) using Fukuoka system(No Tilling Farming) and System of R...

We are a small Buddhist community living in the forest close to Sainte-Julienne, Quebec. We have an organic fruit tree nursery, along with many other projects on our land: several fruit orchards, chickens and bees, growing our own vegetables and herbs and trying to be independent in many ways. The six people who are staying are: Ajan, Eric, Veronique, Elisabeth, Natalie and Camille. Each of us have arrived here one by one, at first just interested in helping out in the place, and then as we found that this lifestyle was for us, deciding to stay for longer. For part of the year we also have a couple of employees staying with us. There is also a wonderful dog named Dali. Our organic nursery and garden occupies a land of 9 hectares, surrounded by forest. As well as the main land of the nursery, we have another smaller land where a few of us live. This is, in fact, where the community started to grow from very small beginnings in the ear...

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. We have an automotive country workshop where we fix and service cars, 4WDs, trailers, tractors and all sorts of machinery. In our spare time we look after our little farm, some sheep, some cattle and rabbits. We also have a forest where we work and tidy up occasionally. So we are always in need of a couple of helpful hands to support us. We love to get to know different cultures and people. We grow our own meat, fruit and vegetables. Gustav also brews his own beer and makes wine and cider and lately also green tea. A mature, non-smoking, self-organized person, preferable not a vegetarian, to give us a hand with house and land, would fit best into our lifestyle. You will have to join into our daily routines: breakfast is at around 7am and then we feed all the animals, especially the hungry dogs and work starts at 8am. We need to get everyone organized before customers arrive in the workshop. We expect about 4 hours work per day and we offer a nice room with a lovely warm bed, gr...

My friend bought this beautiful old farm in Bjarnarfjordur witch is in the west fjords of Iceland And the westfjords were selected as top destination in the world by Lonely Planet for 2022 No one has lived there for the last 20 years so there’s plenty of things to do Mainly it’s taking care of the eiderducks (put up flags and scarecrows to keep the artic fox and seagulls away from the area) The eider nests on small islands close to the farm so we will need to take a boat or a kayak and row to the islands After the nesting season we pick up the down that they left in the nest And another thing is feeding the rainbow trout that we will be farming in tanks on land Also we have to paint and fix the old house We have our own geothermal hole that produces lots of hot water Even though it’s seems remote it’s only 35km to the next town Hòlmavík where there’s a supermarket, bank and basically everything you need From June to October we are doing whale watching trips from Hólmavík and mo...

Urgent help needed, especially for May and early June Handy volunteers needed at my ecotourism guesthouse and harbour property in north Norway. I am looking for immidiate spring time help ( May- June) to prepare indoors and outdoors for the summer season starting in June. Maybe you are already somewhere near and can come in short notice? Or have time off right now for a new adventure? Some examples: This spring I have walls to paint, a garden to rescue, smaller building projects, wooden boats to prepare for outing, new rooms to make ready for guests and old rooms to reorganize and make the best we can. Some help now in April, May, June would be just wonderful - also for shorter periods. My guesthouse has the sweetest rooms and a nice summer café. Here is a big quay, historical buildings, and heritage boats. We have the best view, right at the ocean edge, with panorama of the more famous Lofoten isles. To have volunteers staying here over the years, has been enjoyable experien...

Hello from the beautiful Brooklyn neighborhood of Park Slope! I'm in an old, historic home in a gorgeous neighborhood, very safe, vibrant, dynamic but chill, very close to subways. Surrounded by beautiful Prospect Park, great restaurants, music, wonderful culture, museums, theater, fun ! There is a lot of great, low cost, or free stuff to do, especially in summer. I have a lovely home with a couple of rented rooms. Occasionally I can host for a short stay, but usually, volunteers stay for a longer time at my home. I prefer 2 helpers (a couple, 2 friends) for help with things like : * House basic repairs, experience with "Handy-person" tasks (use of basic tools, experience plumbing, fixing or building things, painting, carpentry, all very helpful). * There is usually outdoor work to do (including garden). * Due to certain projects I seek helper/s with excellent speaking and reading English. * Sometimes detailed cleaning, "house organizing"; preparing for guests. Available sometimes in 2026, this opportunity is in the beautiful Central Australian Desert town of Alice Springs! The best time to visit here is between April and October, when the community is bustling with events, tourists, the nights are cool and days pleasantly warm. However, the summer is also worth a visit as this is when you can make the most of our incredible desert swimming holes. We are a friendly couple in our 40's with some big dreams and a passion to travel our wonderful Australia and beyond. We love meeting like minded people and showing them around our beloved Alice Springs Region and sharing some beautiful and wondrous adventures, when time allows, of course. We both work full time and live in our own home with our 2 cat's called Custard and Rhona. During the week we are fairly quiet but happy to share a meal or two, on weekends we are very social and busy, often hosting gatherings, with what we call, our "Patchwork Family" an ever growing group of friends, family, ...

Tēnā koutou, We are a French/Algerian/Kiwi family. We moved to the North of the South Island (Te Wai Pounamou) in 2023 and live on a four hectare property where there is lots to be done. Mathew is into agroecology, permaculture and conservation. He has experience running workshops and leading work groups. Rym is interested in Indigenous knowledge, community development and the disruption of the current economic system. We speak French and English at home. You would learn about the NZ rural lifestyle, agroecology and permaculture techniques, food conservation, pest control, and probably lots more. There are a range of tasks to be done, mainly gardening, fencing work, animal care (chickens and sheep) and fire wood cutting/stacking/moving. Possibly some small renovation tasks for those with the right skills. Tasks will depend on the season and what travellers are comfortable doing, as well as what they want to learn. An awesome 2 bedroom settlers cottage, which was built in the 1860s. It ...

I live in Kuranda, but travel often so plenty of opportunities to see new places. I'm a beekeeper that works between Cairns and Cooktown. This time of year my work is situated north of cairns so there plenty opportunity to explore north were not alot of tourist go. The work involves collecting bee hives for honey extraction and queen bee rearing this gives us plenty of time to explore. In spare time we can go to the local Rivers (Baron Gorge), local swimming holes or hiking. Task also involve house work and gardening. The work is not hard, suits male or females and is always varied, recreational activities after work as swimming, hanging out at the beach and camping.

There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , .
