I live in a Log cabin on one acre a short walk from the beach. It is a small town surrounded by beaches and at the start of the great barrier reef. There are 23 islands within 30 minutes boat ride. My cabin is large with a chilled atmosphere, heaps of music, a camp fire area and a bar outside as well as inside. Painting, general gardening, tree planting and housework is mostly required. Accommodation is in a comfortably caravan with double bed.. Our life style is pretty chilled which includes travel, bbq's, music, kitesurfing and fishing. Depending on what help I need,I would expect 3-4 hours per day for 3-4 days per week. I will provide breakfast, tea and coffee and help show you around this awesome part of Australia. Internet is available.

Welcome to our farmstay and house-sitting opportunity in an eco-village focused on holistic healing in the Himalayas. Here, we embrace the principles of Mind, Movement and Mountain (3M). Though we're still in the development phase, we're eager to offer a unique experience at our Forest Retreat House, nestled amidst lush green forests. Please note that a fully furnished retreat schedule is not provided! This opportunity involves house-sitting and engaging in forest-farm-fish keeping, co-creating experiences with us. I am a graduate of Schumacher College, UK, with a Master's in Mind, Movement, and Ecology, and my second Master's is in Applied Ecology from Evenstad, Norway. Currently, I serve as an Assistant Professor at Agriculture and Forestry University, with interests in big cats, holistic healing, and regenerative tourism. I'll be present on weekends and holidays to bring various Ayurvedic herbs to the farm. My brother Bipin, wife Binita, and mother Narayani will guide you through N...

Hello travellers! We’ve recently built a wonderfully energy efficient passive solar house, complete with off-grid solar for all our energy needs, rain water collection for all our water needs, and a worm farm waste management system for natural black and grey water processing. We’ve put a lot of work in to achieve a fossil-fuel-free, all-electric, household, with as small an environmental footprint as possible. We’re also lucky to live in a beautiful rural/coastal area near Inverloch, Victoria, approximately 1 hour 45 minutes south-east of Melbourne. We are close to some of Victoria’s most famous wildlife and wilderness attractions, including the Penguin Parade at Phillip Island, the Koala Conservation Reserve, and hiking and camping at Wilson’s Promontory (not to mention numerous local beaches and fishing spots only 10 minutes away!). With our house complete, we’re now working to progress the landscaping aspects of our project. We’d be very appreciative of a helping hand or two to ...

Looking for Helpers right through busy summer and autumn months. Plenty going on during summer, shearing, stock work, fencing, weed control, garden tidying, lawn mowing, lots of tractor driving etc. It would be great to have some strong keen helpers to help fix fences and do some building work. Our family of 4 (2 kids - 16 & 18 years old) live on a beautiful sheep and beef farm with large woodland garden and organic vegetable garden. We need help with stock work, general farming tasks, gardening, cooking etc. We're 40 minutes from Nelson, 15 minutes from Motueka. It's an idyllic rural setting with excellent access to rivers, mountains, mountain biking, Abel Tasman & Kahurangi National Parks etc. with easy access to some of the best fly fishing rivers in NZ (and the world!) There's 4-6 hours work per day depending on tasks. Plenty of flexibility to work full days and have plenty of time off to explore. Welcome to our small family run Bed and Breakfast in the beautiful town of Denmark, in the south of Western Australia. Surrounded by magnificent trees and the beaches of the southern Ocean, there are many things to do, especially bushwalking, surfing and snorkelling. The town is 5km away, the nearest beach 2km. As all our three children have left and live their own lives elsewhere, it is just me, Anna, my husband Matt and our beautiful old dog Anuschka living here. We are from Germany originally and have been here for the past 26 years. We have always open doors and have hosted many backpackers over the years. You will be sleeping in our caravan in the garden which has its own undercover deck in front and a double bed. You will be having your meals with us in our comfy kitchen. We require help with maintenance around the house and garden. We love to try out food prepared by you, if you like.

This is where you come when you’re finished with the norm and its systems. Thinking outside the box and voluntary simplicity inform my life. There is joy in the cycles of life. There are lambs and baby rabbits. The kale and chard are blooming to reseed. Spring is blooming and the tree frogs are singing. Im planning on creating a new chicken house this year. If you’re capable with a hammer and saw, have I got stuff for you to do 😎 im not looking for a professional carpenter. This is git er dun, use what you have type building. People wanting to learn gardening and food ways are always welcome- carpentry skills UN nescessary. I live off-grid in a 240 sq ft hand built caravan. I am practicing sustainability thru permaculture. my farm garden is beyond organic, relying on natures synergy. It is my dream to be fully self sufficient in food and herbs. also in the dream-works are an outdoor summer kitchen, a solar oven, a solar water heater for the caravan, more food forest which includes...

Come join us on ten acres of forest, meadow, and garden on San Juan Island! A true escape from the hubbub of modern life. San Juan is a small island 7mi/12km east of Vancouver Island, 50mi/80km south of Vancouver, B.C. and 70mi/115km NNW of Seattle, WA. an hour and a half ferry ride from the mainland. It boasts many beautiful beaches, forests, tranquil farmland, stunning vistas and hiking/biking/kayaking opportunities. We are in the middle of the island on a dead-end road about 10km/6mi from the small town of Friday Harbor. Most supplies are available at the shops in town. Preference will be given to helpers with a genuine interest in learning about NZ dairy farming and animal husbandry. We love sharing what we do and prefer to host helpers with a desire to learn. We run a boutique dairy farm, milking a small herd of much loved cows and selling raw milk to our wonderful customers Starting a new business is hard work and not for the faint-hearted. If you consider yourself up for the challenge of helping us, we'd love to hear from you! We offer a family environment with opportunities for farm work, housework, gardening and cooking. There is a wide variety of work available. Working with the animals of course, weed control, plus fencing work, painting, carpentry, building and lots of different small tasks to complete. If outdoor work doesn't appeal, help in the house with cooking and cleaning is always appreciated, and the large and previously neglected garden also requires a lot of work. We try to fit the work to each helper's skills and interests, and ...

Our small farm (https://little-farm.com.au) sits in Northern Victoria, where we grow fruit and vegetables, plant trees, and learn as we go. Tim, a retired engineer, is always building or fixing something. Beth is a teacher and health practitioner who also teaches at university. She tends a rose garden of over 400 fragrant bushes. Early mornings here smell incredible. The property includes an organic vegetable garden, orchard, berries, herbs, and a music room with a baby grand piano. If you play, bring your instrument. We’re close to the Murray River. Big skies, glowing sunrises and sunsets, and rich birdlife surround us. Magpies are part of daily life here, in sound and in art across the farm. Nights are clear and full of stars. Many people arrive tired and leave feeling genuinely restored. What we’re looking for Willing, reliable help Someone who takes initiative and keeps shared spaces tidy A careful learner who asks when unsure You’ll be guided at first, then work more indepen...

We are a small-scale, organic vegetable farm in Palmer, Alaska. We grow an array of beautiful produce which includes carrots, tomatoes, strawberries, zucchini, brussel sprouts, romanesco, broccoli, potatoes, rhubarb, onions, beets, and many more. All of the vegetables we sell at local farmers markets are grown by us and are free of pesticides, GMOs, and chemicals. We not only believe that people should feel connected to their food, but we also feel that it should be delicious, healthy, and accessible. Work on the farm varies by season. In the Spring we spend our time prepping the field, sewing seeds, growing transplants, cultivating those seeds in the field, weeding, and watering. As we move into summer and fall helpers will have the opportunity to harvest and sell the fruits and vegetables that have been growing the past few months at the local farmers’ markets.

Hello everyone! My name is Bird, I was working in Chiang-Mai as a photographer for 2 years then decided to become a farmer and create a Thai traditional agriculture permaculture farm in 2018. I wish to create a relaxing place that allows people from all over the world to take their time to experience life in harmony with nature. I also have four water buffalo on our farm, named Tony, Laura, Hanna and Charlie. We are a local family with a desire to preserve our simple, sustainable way of life so that we can give back to and protect mother earth. Our farm is located in Pua city, 70km north of Nan province surrounded by the mountains and rice fields, in Northern Thailand. The farm is set on 1.5 acres of land with vegetable gardens, rice paddies, farm stay and pizza restaurant. Currently, we have done with natural buildings on the farm, including bamboo huts, fences, and wooden houses. “Life is better with a Buffalo” is our farm goal and “Happiness only real when shared “ is our motto. The closest train station is Beenleigh. Your own car is a plus. We welcome working holiday visa holders with good horse experience and most importantly a passion for horses !! In order to learn your daily task, routine and horses personalities, we will ask you to stay a minimum of 3 weeks. Long stays are really welcome. Your role on the farm would be helping with the daily care of our racehorses. It's an everyday job starting depending of the sun (4.30am in summer and later on winter time). We start each morning training the horses, washing them and feeding them. All the retired horses need to be feed and watered as well. We need to feed and water all the horses again each night before dark. The ideal helpers will be positive, willing and with a some decent english. Because it’s a 30 hec property and there is always some...

I would be very happy to welcome volunteer teachers who are willing to help at my school for two or three months, or even for a full semester. *I want the volunteers who work at my school to not feel like they are working. Instead, I want them to feel that they are enjoying themselves and having a holiday while staying with us. Their room is fully equipped with air conditioning, hot showers, and a spacious private room that is separate from the main house, so they can feel comfortable and relaxed during their stay.* My name is Edison I have a wife, her name is Nofi. I also have two children, Ochta (32 years old) and Fadlil (12 years old). Ochta can speak English. I run a private English school for children between the ages of 7 and 19 in the small town of Batusangkar, West Sumatra. My goal as the principal of the school is to provide youth from my region with the English skills required to communicate better in the modern world, and therefore provide them with better opportunities ...

(La description en français se trouve plus bas !) We are a small Buddhist community living in the forest close to Sainte-Julienne, Quebec. We have an organic fruit tree nursery, along with many other projects on our land: several fruit orchards, chickens and bees, growing our own vegetables and herbs and trying to be independent in many ways. The six people who are staying are: Ajan, Eric, Veronique, Elisabeth, Natalie and Camille. Each of us have arrived here one by one, at first just interested in helping out in the place, and then as we found that this lifestyle was for us, deciding to stay for longer. For part of the year we also have a couple of employees staying with us. There is also a wonderful dog named Dali. Our organic nursery and garden occupies a land of 9 hectares, surrounded by forest. As well as the main land of the nursery, we have another smaller land where a few of us live. This is, in fact, where the community started to grow from very small beginnings in the ear...

This is ideal for people who would enjoy the social and cultural buzz of the city within easy walking distance, while also being close to two charming harbour beaches and some great walks. It’s a good arrangement for you if you value your own private space whenever you want it, but also enjoy a stimulating environment. Our comfortable inner city 117year old Victorian villa is a two minute walk to Ponsonby Road. Accommodation is self-contained, and our HelpXers have invariably found it to be an ideal arrangement (see guest room photos). You have your own separate entrance, private garden balcony, one bed ( a generous double) , kitchenette with microwave, hot plate, toaster and small fridge, dining table/desk, laundry machine and spacious ensuite bathroom/toilet. Free wi-fi (within reason!) Because we’re on an unusually wide section for a city house, we've developed the outdoor space into various "rooms", including an organic vege/herb garden and a viewing platform in one of our hi...

Travelers should choose my place because it offers a calm, friendly, and comfortable home in the Dublin Suburbs 10 minute train ride to City Centre. You’ll be surrounded by plants, nature, and good company 🌿. The tasks are light and relaxed. You’ll also learn practical gardening tips and horticultural knowledge in a cozy, welcoming environment. It’s an ideal place for volunteers who enjoy peaceful living, meaningful conversations, and a warm home atmosphere. I am a well organized and responsible person. I’m an easy-going, friendly host who enjoys gardening and evening chats 😊. I value respect, honesty, and a relaxed environment. Volunteers can expect to be treated kindly and fairly, with plenty of support and patience. House also has a permanent tenant, Gloria from Italy (early 30's) who has been here over a year. The help is quite easy and low-stress. I’m happy to share my horticultural knowledge, including tips and tricks for getting the best performance from different plants 🌱. T...

We live on a semi rural farming property of 52ha overlooking the Waitemata harbour with views of Waiheke, Rangitoto and the Skytower, 30 mins south east of Auckland City. We are two minutes from the beach and there are several walks and cycling tracks nearby. We mainly farm sheep and also keep bees. You would be living as part of our family and are welcome to join in with any social events and activities, in particular fishing and boating. We have 3 adult children, and three grandchildren as well as three dogs and a cat. As a family we all enjoy meeting people from different cultures and forging connections with them and now have lifetime friends around the world. You can help us with gardening, landscaping, painting, building bee apiaries, planting natives (Autumn) and general housework and maintenance. It would be for a maximum of 4 hours a day which will leave plenty of time to explore the local area.

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) Cheers Al

If you love wildlife, the outdoors, great views and good food, send us an email (only emails from this site will be responded to). This is very much a cultural exchange (for us and for you) as you will be in our family home sharing our lifestyle. NO SMOKERS OR VEGETARIANS PLEASE. We prefer our helpers to stay 2 weeks or more. Work outside is a major part of what we do so expect to be outside on a rural property as part of the experience. Please message us through this platform to allow us to view your profile The property is located 60km South of Brisbane and 20km West of the Gold Coast on the upper North slope of Mt Tamborine, 320m above sea level. We are surrounded by National Parks and abundant wildlife. The property is 6Ha with a sub-tropical climate and has great country views to the North up to 140km on a clear day. We also have a tennis court (I will always give preference to tennis players who love to cook and eat great food), an outdoor cob pizza oven, chooks/ducks, two Rh...

Looking for a lovely volunteer to join us and our animals. AVAILABILITY FROM the end of June as we are fully booked until then. Please contact us if you are interested in helping look after our wonderful animals. Experience with horses is useful but not necessary as long as you are happy to care for them. Depending on the time of year, we also run a small scale rescue and rehabilitation centre for hedgehogs. There are stunning views looking out over a Devon Wildlife Nature Reserve and beautiful countryside. Hello, we are a Christian family. Originally from the United States, we are now starting a Christian outreach and community center here in Costa Rica. We want to meet the needs of the community around us and see lives transformed. Our hearts desire is to see the Power and Love of God change this nation. Currently we are in the beginning stages of seeking help. The first volunteer we need is some one who has a good understanding of construction and can do repairs on some of the buildings on the property, laying tile, roof repairs, etc. and maybe some side help with cutting the grass. We also have some issues with plumbing and electrical In exchange for this help, we will provide a place to live. At this time we can only commit to short term opportunities, a couple of weeks, or one to three months. However, we are hoping by God's grace and provision to one day be able to build small places for people to stay. However, our main goal is not to build buildings. We want to build the Kingd...

Please be aware you may get hot, wet, muddy, dusty and dirty but rest assured ...

You'll have the option to camp or park your camper van in a very private, quiet, tree-lined field or stay in an adorable rustic cabin tucked in the woods. Accommodation includes food, outdoor kitchen and hot shower, outhouse, WiFi, use of bikes, kayaks, and a car if you wish.

You will live as part of the family - during your stay, our home will be your home. We are a married couple living on a property with our DOGS, HORSES and some elderly but treasured chickens. Depending on the time of year, we also run a small scale rescue and rehabilitation centre for hedgehogs. There are stunning views looking out over a Devon Wildlife Nature Reserve and beautiful countryside. We live in a very attractive rural area of Devon on the outskirts of a beautiful old village called DOLTON (please look on "Google Earth") about a 45 minute drive from Dartmoor National Park. The village has a very friendly and active community, a church, 2 excellent traditional pubs, a pos...
