We live on an organic property with a house, charming old cottage that we Airbnb, extensive vegetable garden, tunnel house, fruit trees and food forest. The property is just outside Carterton. My husband is retired and I work in Wellington. Sometimes our young adult children stay and we have a dog called Charlie. It is rural and peaceful but you can walk or bike to the village which has everything you need. There is a train service to Masterton (15mins) and Wellington (1.5 hours). We can collect you from the station and drop you back when you leave. You can stay with us in the main house where we have a 2 spare rooms with queen sized beds or possibly in the Airbnb if it is not occupied . The number of people we can take depends on whether the cottage is empty. I’m currently looking for help for a week in late October early November. I will need help with the garden… mowing, weeding and hedging. I designed and built my property back in the early 80’s. There are 9 other properties out here, but we all have a lot of space as we are on 450 acres of land. The house sits on a ridge, with views of the Springbrook Plateau, and is surrounded by lush rainforest. It is an area of high bio-diversity with rainforest, waterfalls, rivers & many different types of wildlife, which is all easily accessible.
