This is a home stay situated on a sugarcane farm 18km north of Proserpine. Not far from Airle Beach and Whitsundays. There are a variety of chores, I work in the sugar mill but also have a lot of work around my house and sheds. We’re renting a granny flat, and some times there is some cleaning work to be done. We are a small CSA vegetable farm and we work the land with our three draft horses. We also have a herd of sheep, goats and chickens. Two gardener and three gardener apprentices make up our steady team. We have three children and we live in a nice little village with friendly people and a very active village life, in a beautiful landscape, we even have a little swimming lake nearby. We can only take helpers who stay at least two weeks. We share most meals at the moment, which means we are living very close together. We have a very nice house for volunteers and our gardening team with a big kitchen, two bathrooms, common room, and plenty of bedrooms. We also have hot water, heating from wood and Wifi connection. Needing help with keeping the grounds beautiful, repairs, building projects, harvesting, weeding, pruning, planting, and animal care. Near a busy village, bicycles offered, canoes, there are buses to take you around the island, hiking, swimming, artisans, markets. Sunsets are wonderful.
