Hello. I’m Paolo, a recently retired musician. I live in a mountain area made of rounded, wooded peaks in the inland of the Italian Riviera, at the point of connection between two regions, Tuscany and Liguria, widely renown for art towns (Pisa, Lucca, Florence among others) and picturesque fishing villages. It’s a quiet setting to get away from it all, with a 360 degree view stretching for tens of miles and right down to the Mediterranean Sea, only 25 km/15 miles away. Here is where the Alta Via (High Route of the Ligurian Mountains) starts, a long-distance waymarked hiking trail for nature lovers. I speak Italian (native), English (fluent) and French (fluent). I’m looking for volunteers who are self-motivated and good with their hands, willing to help me with general maintenance around my property in exchange for food and lodging in a friendly environment. I appreciate a baggage of life experience that is not too small, so volunteers in their mid to late twenties at least and in t...

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

This is an exciting opportunity to have an experience that will stay with you throughout your life. Our Foundation aims at helping rural children receive a qualitative outstanding education. We have a volunteer teaching program to assist rural teachers and children get exposure to foreign languages and cultures. Because English is the second language in Thai schools, we concentrate on improving the English language skills of both rural teachers and children. At present, we aim to help 4 public elementary schools (grades 1 - 6) close to Chiang Mai. We are currently taking applications for volunteers who would available to start sometime between now and the end of June and commit to at least 8 weeks . We are looking for volunteers to teach English only. Couples are welcome as well. NOTE: We do not charge volunteers any fees for staying with us. The generous gift of your time and dedication is all the donation we will ask of you. We provide the volunteers lodging and meals in retu...

We are a small theatre company and during the summer months we run a small hotel, Hotell Vagabond, in Abbekås at the south coast of Sweden. It is a unique hotel where visitors live in genuine Gypsy Wagons. The house is an old school with a theatre, restaurant and a gallery. In July and August we need help with running our hotel. This basically means cleaning and preparing the wagons in the morning and help as a waiter in our small restaurant some of the evenings. Occasionally we also have some cultural events during this period and need some help also with this. This is a quite fun places to be at and if you are an open minded person the chances are good you'll have a great time here. We have a dog, Dusty, so it's good if you like animals – as well as people...!

Salut !

Sorry folks, but we are now fully booked until the beginning of September 2026. There may be a cancellation, but these are very rare, but if you are in the area, reach out, we love to chat :) As well as the normal homesteading tasks, if you want to learn about wine making, bee keeping, self defense, jewellery making, or help Tony with his self defense book and video courses, we could be a great match. Have a think, take a look at our reviews and if you are interested, drop us a line, *** Our beautiful countryside homestead (only 5 acres so not really a farm) is in the mountainous hills above the historic castle town of Caccamo, Sicily. It is surrounded scraggy mountains and long valley walks. It is perfect for hiking or just relaxing in the sun with a good book. Within easy traveling distance for those interested in exploring this culturally rich island, is the seaside town of Cefalù or even the main capital city of Palermo, both are easily accessible by bus and train from the lo...

Animal Rescue and Sanctuary and Organic Vegan Farm in Central Costa Rica Hello everyone! What we do: We take care of animals, we grow organic food, we prepare and eat tasty vegan meals, we minimize our impact on the earth, and we enjoy the company of our Costa Rican friends and neighbors. We have run a volunteer program for over 18 years, and have had several hundred people come to work with us! Our farm is primarily an animal rescue, rehab and sanctuary. Our doors are open to animals in need. We currently have five rescue dogs, six goats, a pig, a horse, two cats, and two water buffalos. Some came off the streets, some were abandoned, others were injured and no longer wanted. We adopt out what we can, but most are retired and happy to live their lives on the farm. The 3.5 hectare property is covered with many tropical fruit trees, including water apple, mandarin orange, banana (many varieties), guayaba, guanabana, cas, caimito, lime, nance, coffee and araza. Depending on the se...

We are in Dégagnac, between Cahors (capital town of the Lot) and Sarlat in the Dordogne and have 5 gîtes (small houses for rent) and we do chambre d`hôtes (B&B) and table d`hôtes (dinner); we have a swimming pool and a tennis court, a vegetable garden, garden with fruit trees, a walnut grove, meadows and forest, all of which have to be maintained. Depending on the season, we are looking for helpers with one or more of the following skills: 1. gardening (pruning, digging, tidying up etc.) as well as wood clearing and logging; 2. affinity with cooking and making domain products (e.g. confitures, chutneys) from the fruit and walnuts we have; 3. preparing the gîtes for new guests; 4. Do-It-Yourself (painting, decorating, carpentry, etc.). Hey you. So, I just got myself a little patch of forest in the south of Sweden. A small, slightly worn, but nevertheless very real cottage hidden about 1 km from the nearest human. I’m trying to build something like an off-grid, permaculture-ish, semi-chaotic, freedom-loving life experiment. Think less “perfect homestead” and more “figure it out as we go.” There’s always stuff happening (or needing to happen): – starting and expanding a vegetable garden – fixing and slowly restoring the old house – experimenting with water systems – chopping wood like it’s a lifestyle – random building, painting, fixing, improvising – probably failing at things and trying again If you like learning by doing, getting your hands dirty, and not knowing exactly how the day will unfold, you’ll fit right in. The “deal” is roughly 4 hours of help per day for food and a place to crash. But honestly, I’m not super rigid about it. If you’re more independent, want to cook your own food, work more/less, or just...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. PLEASE NOTE WELL: we absolutely cannot host anyone with any pre-existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions), such as hay fever, any other allergies, sensitivities or intolerances. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our do...

It`s been over 10 years now that we are participating in programs like this. We never get tired of new people staying and having strangers turning into friends. Also our neighbors and others in the village enjoy the exchange. They are always up for a small talk, which is great for you to practice your German! About us: We have organic breed Wagyu Beef (the most expensive meat in the world). There are 3 Horses, gooses, Chicken, sheep and a bunch of Cats that are also part of the Farm. We also grow all sort of crops. Either to feed our animals or to sell them. We also grow apples, plums, pears, potatoes and many other things that grow in a garden. There is never a time during summer where u can not just go outside and eat something straight from where it grows.. Ruesselhausen is a small village. Just perfect to be in the nature. There are bikes for you to use so you can discover the surrounding nature. It would be good if you speak a little German because not all of us speak English. ...

Hello. My name is Manon, and I am 33 years old. I live with my husband and my 1-year-old son, in a French old house. We have already renovated a large part of the house over the past two years. Now we're getting back to it with renewed enthusiasm :) I'm studying interior design and learning about traditional methods that are both durable and eco-friendly, so we can feel as comfortable as possible in this building. Anyone who wants to join us on this adventure is more than welcome :) We usually put together groups of volunteers to create fun and dynamic teams :-)

Enjoy canoeing, kayaking, biking & hiking at our waterfront B&B. You'll have your own private room. If you have a valid drivers license, and are staying for at least 2 months you may use one of our cars. This requires a discussion, and is on a case by case basis. Cleaning rooms to our 5 star standard is the primary work. Limited gardening, yard work, helping around the B&B with all aspects of running a home-based business. Must be physically fit to do this. Crewing on our boat is optional if you like it - not everyone is comfortable being on the ocean. Here is what a typical summer day looks like: About 1/4 of our guests purchase breakfast. We invite you to volunteer and participate in creating a unique experience with us this summer. We organise, build and run a unique, tented, sustainable venue - a temporary outdoor eco-village in the West of England. We’re looking for people who like working hard, having fun, and being part of a community to get involved. Every summer since 1990, our trustees (all volunteers) and many other volunteers from all walks of life come together and create something truly inspiring! We are a temporary venue reflected by the three main phases of our season. The most diverse range of activities and greatest need for volunteers are during the setup and takedown of the site, but of course we also rely on our team of volunteers for the running of the events! You will be supported and encouraged to be involved in whatever you feel most comfortable doing, and we always appreciate new ideas and feedback - we are all about learning, participation, and celebration of individuals and community. The...

My name is Esperanza, I run a language school. I'm looking for an easy going native English speaker to help us with conversation classes and different activities. It is a great educational project where we aim to develop students interest in the language in a natural way. We live in a nice area surrounded by mountains, our house is big , so we recently started an online rental program to meet new people from all over the world. The language school is 8 minutes away on foot from our house. I live with my son, Mikel, who is a university student. While you stay with us, you will be able to take part in lots of activities. Zalla is a town with lots of facilities where you can do nearly everything you can imagine. If you are interested in learning Spanish, we will be more than happy to help you! We live 20 minutes from Bilbao in a lovely town called Zalla. There is a good bus/train service to Bilbao. Volunteers also can visit, Santander, San Sebastian, Burgos, Pamplona either of these ci...

Looking for assistance NOW and from late March through summer 26. We moved north from Vancouver to escape the noise and the craziness and to find a spot to live in beauty. We found one and now are on the edge of nothing but more nothing all 400 km to the Pacific. We are 20 km outside of a small town halfway between nowhere and not much. Sharing that is a pleasure. Nearly everything we do now is in support of one thrill: adventures in food. But rural living out here in mid-nowhere means that there are endless other things to be tasked as well: construction, gardening, maintenance of many sorts, enhancing the natural beauty around us. Chances are that if you could describe a pure-fun, physical job, there would be something here I could offer that might satisfy those urges. If you want to work hard, eat marvelous meals and have a fabulous time in the gardens, the workshop and the kitchen, come join us and get a relaxing feel of rural life. PLUS, for all you thrill seekers/amateurs des s...

Hello Potential Volunteers My name is Paul and it was my dream to change my lifestyle from being an office worker to becoming an alpaca farmer.... here we are 14 years later with 100 alpacas, each individually cherishes with names and unique personalities, plus an assortment of other animals all needing our love :) I have three children: Liam (21), Dylan (9) and Oscar (6), and our 100-acre farm is home to approx.100 alpacas, plus llamas, peacocks, hens, mini pigs, a cat named Sexy, and our farm dog Malta. This year we are expecting 20 'cria' (baby alpacas) and each one will need our help so they can thrive! We need to ensure they get colostrum (filled with antibodies and vital for good health) – have they fed from their mums within the first 24hrs? Are they then drinking enough milk from their mums every day? Are they gaining weight? The well-being of my animals is the most important thing on the farm. Do they have good food and enough water, and the best possible natural environme...

A family of three and two friendly dogs live on-site in an Earthship, and we welcome volunteers who want to experience sustainable living in a beautiful high-desert landscape. Helpers stay in a comfortable 24‑foot yurt equipped with running water, WIFI, electricity, a wood stove, and composting toilets, with an outdoor shower. Fresh fruits and garden vegetables are available when in season. Our property includes 1.5 miles of trails that wind through a Sage Steppe ecosystem with stunning views of Baldy Mountain. Life here is community-oriented and relaxed, and we often gather for communal Sunday evening meals to share good food and conversation. Volunteer work varies depending on the season and current projects. Helpers may assist with a mix of hands-on building, land stewardship, and conservation efforts, including: - Earthship and rammed earth construction, animal-friendly fencing, gardening, wood collection, and general building tasks - Conservation work such as beaver dam analog...

Welcome to us! My home is a log cabin in the woods on an island in the middle of Norway´s largest lake. It is very quiet here so this is not the place for people looking for lots of fun. But if you are looking to escape the city, and you respect nature and enjoy the quiet around you, this is the place for you. We are 45 minutes from all the larger cities around the lake, including Lillehammer which was the home of the 1994 Winter Olympics. 1.5 hours from the airport Gardemoen and 2 hours from Oslo. At the moment I have several carpentry jobs I need help with. So hope there is someone with carpentry skills who could think to stay with us. I do not need anyone else at the moment except those with carpentry skills. I am a biological Mom to 3 kids(adults) who all live in Oslo now. I am also a foster mom for a 12 year old. I work in a Norwegian preschool but am currently not at work. We share our home with 4 cats and 3 dogs. I have done Helpx for years and had mostly good experien...

We started our Vineyard back in 2004, it is located in a Beautiful,Quiet,Valley along the bluffs of the Mississippi River. We have five children that have now grown and moved out on there own. I just retired from a career of Process Instrument Work at the local power plant. I could use some help with the Vineyard and Gardens, but also enjoy fishing and boating on the river in the evenings and of course days off. We would be willing to supply your own bedroom, great meals and WiFi. We also have two Female Collies that love to get brushed and played with. The ideal person would have to be able to work on there own or in a small group, after some training of course to get you up to your comfort level, so as you basically understand what the goals might be for the time of year and tasks at hand, a five hour day,if the weather permits, is what we usually work . There might be a few longer days, but I`m sure that having time off to check out the area won`t be any problem. If you would care t...

Hi, we are a family that lives in the south of Italy in the beautiful region of Puglia; in the countryside but not too far from the sea. We have a family-run business in the Cisternino countryside, with holiday homes for tourists, riding stables and recreational activities. Looking for a person who can help in various activities; really interested in the life of the campaign and learning different tasks such as: carpentry, wrought iron, construction, painting, maintenance of the garden and agriculture, but also request for help in the relationship and management of tourists who stay with us. Excellent opportunity for those looking for complete experiences in the field of crafts and tourism and in the relationship with nature and animals. Having 4 children already, we only look for completely independent and flexible people. Musicians and artists in general are welcome (Juan the owner is also a musician). There is a chance to learn how to work wood and iron and many other things. It's ...

We are currently taking applications for volunteers who would available to start sometime between now and the end of June and commit to at least 8 weeks .

In return for 6 hours of work (5 days a week with 2 days off) we offer an independent gîte to stay in (only not possible when all gîtes are rented out, but then we have a separate room for you with bathroom), use of all the facilities of the domain, l...

West Coast Canada Experience Purpose built oceanfront B&B with 3 private self-contained studio suites on the 2nd floor of our home which is on the first floor. On those mornings at 7:30 am we're in the kitchen preparing breakfast. 8:45 - 9:30 serving breakfast to guests and interacting with Q&A and booking a few excursions. On most days when t...

It's ...

Looking for a lovely volunteer to join us and our animals. AVAILABILITY FROM the end of June as we are fully booked until then. We are a couple with grown up Children who sometimes live here too. We live on 120 acres deep in the jarrah forest, very quiet and peaceful. We have market garden as well as run cattle and lots of pets.. goats, horses, ducks, chickens, dogs, cats.. the list goes on. We welcome people to share our farm life and participate in daily work... help required is varied and depends on your skills: but is mostly outdoors gardening, picking rhubarb, weeding, helping with general farm maintenance etc. ..There are plenty of opportunities to walk in the forest, swim or maybe work out in our home gym .....Stay is for a week initially and we are happy to negotiate longer stays if we all get along. In fact we really like longer stays.....Accom is in a self contained caravan near the house, with all food supplied and sharing some meals with the family, in return for working each morning with us..
