I live in an old farm and farmhouse in Normandy. I have converted a cottage into a holiday cottage with 4 bedrooms (all en suite) and one barn into another. I also had a Yurt (now gone but the pictures are still there !!) and a campsite. With the guest-accommodation, farm and further buildings to be converted, I could always do with an extra pair of hands. Skills can range from building, painting, cleaning, farming and general maintenance. Someone with a sense of humour would be great. I enjoy music so you may find all sorts playing, from classical to Genesis, Roxy Music to London Grammar! Current projects (weather dependent) include: 1. tidying toolshed 2. move garden shed 3. create car port I offer accommodation and meals included in return for help normally 5 days a week. After a week I'm happy to give a day tour of the battlefields ... Phone number (what's app) available on request. Easy to find and get to .. .By train leave Paris at the Gare de St Lazare for Cherbourg. G...

A busy 2 hectare block in Earnscleugh/Alexandra NZ that has a small scale plant nursery. We manage the Nursery growing plants that suit our region and are hardy to our environment. This takes up most of our time. We need help with garden and day to day lifestyle block tasks. Plenty to keep one busy with mowing, weeding & tidying. Our Vegetable & Berry gardens are a bit overgrown, & sometimes the seedlings don't make it into the garden on time to grow. We currently have a building project that we need help for. We are happy to teach you nursery tasks such as potting on, growing from seed, cuttings & division. Teddy, Walter & Slinky Bill the cats live in the house too. Sheep and Hens to take care of. You would have your own room in our home. All other amenities are shared. We are located 10 minutes drive from Clyde & Alexandra. We have bicycles for use. We don't get a chance to travel so bring your world to us... So if you love gardening in a relaxed environment this is the ...

I am looking for two or three helpers for a week or two from Monday 12 January 2026. Warm greetings from rural Byron Shire. I have hosted helpers regularly to help me to clear and tidy my sloping one hectare garden, which continues growing vigorously, and with other necessary maintenance tasks around my home. I would welcome a couple or two or three friends to work with me for a week or more in January. No particular experience is necessary, but any practical skills might be useful, and reasonable fitness is needed. I’m happy to share my own skills with willing helpers and will be working with you. Three to four hours of work per day in return for plentiful food and drink, and your own comfortable accommodation in my guest bedroom(s). I live in the Byron Bay hinterland, with my dog Rosie, in quiet country with ocean views and sightings of numerous wildlife. I come from England but have settled in Australia for the past 18 years, after travelling extensively around the world for bo...

Greetings Weary Travellers! I WOULD PREFER HELPERS WHO ARE 25 TO 40 YEARS OLD, PERHAPS, BUT NOT NECESSARILY, WITH SKILLS IN CONSTRUCTION, ELECTRICAL OR ABLE TO HANDLE GAS POWERED EQUIPMENT FOR GARDENING. We are situated on 22 acres with spectacular views of the countryside-just one hour north of Toronto by car and accessible by GO train or GO bus to Orangeville where I can pick you up. There are three bedrooms available to helpers decorated as India, the Mediterranean or the Commonwealth, with two single beds in each (or king size bed) and great views. Each room has indoor and outdoor access. There is a lower room leading to the garden just for helpers to read, view videos and play games. Laundry available as well. Now a picture perfect bunkie for 2 or 3 is available, thanks to the hard work of helpers. Most recently, we have added a small private ZEN room for peace or meditation. There is an indoor salt water pool (available late June to October), pool table, archery, basketball,...

We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week. Our preference is for a single person or couple who have some skil...

Animal Rescue and Sanctuary and Organic Vegan Farm in Central Costa Rica Hello everyone! What we do: We take care of animals, we grow organic food, we prepare and eat tasty vegan meals, we minimize our impact on the earth, and we enjoy the company of our Costa Rican friends and neighbors. We have run a volunteer program for over 18 years, and have had several hundred people come to work with us! Our farm is primarily an animal rescue, rehab and sanctuary. Our doors are open to animals in need. We currently have five rescue dogs, six goats, a pig, a horse, two cats, and two water buffalos. Some came off the streets, some were abandoned, others were injured and no longer wanted. We adopt out what we can, but most are retired and happy to live their lives on the farm. The 3.5 hectare property is covered with many tropical fruit trees, including water apple, mandarin orange, banana (many varieties), guayaba, guanabana, cas, caimito, lime, nance, coffee and araza. Depending on the se...

We are restoring a fabulous castle with 365 windows that still badly need TLC : putty, linseed oil, varnish... April, May, June, September, October are usually fine. July and August are not a time when works can be done at the chateau as visitors are around. We would be very glad to welcome one or two people who are fond of old places and heritage. There are lots of other things that need doing as well. If you like refurbishing, if you are good at clearing up, carpentering, plumbering or gardening... you'll have lots to keep you busy ! We live in the South West of France, the Dordogne, in an area where there is lots to visit and enjoy. We don't actually live in the chateau (so there is some travelling involved) but in town which is nice because Périgueux is a lovely little city right in the center of the Dordogne. You will be able to share our family life with our teenage daughter. We often have our children and grand-children during the holidays. We speak both French & Engli...

Hello Helpxers, I'm look for three or four people to help me on the most beautiful farm I have just bought. Start date as soon as possible. Help needed mainly on the farm, campsite and b&b. I also will be running retreats soon. I would ask for 5 hrs a day of help for 5 days a week. I happy to be totally flexible with how the time is organised. i may ask for specific times for example if I am going to be away for a few days to take care of the animals (at the moment this consists of a puppy and two cats - hopefully this will increase soon!) I'm pretty flexible with how long you can stay but I'd prefer a minimum of two weeks and for up to four months to start with and then see how we feel after that. The property is alcohol and drug free. P check in with yourself if you're okay with that. I'm would love someone who has experience with a chainsaw and building - working with repairing the stone walls to some of the barns - using lime. Also helping with decorating and or gardening. ...

This is a traditional family-owned farm which, after years of abandonment, is currently being re-imagined as a sustainable and environmentally-conscious community. Located just 3km from the beach, where the Pampa plain meets the rugged coastline of the Argentinian Atlantic. We are passionate about agriculture, surfing, music, travel, nature and the environment, who want to create a communal space where people from around the world can come to learn about sustainable living and ecological ideals; share delicious organic food from the gardens; surf; tell stories; share knowledge, ideas, culture and language; learn about farming, the environment, or just relax and enjoy the farm and surrounds. The project is in its early stages and we are looking for energetic and responsible individuals wanting to experience and contribute to rural life and communal living close to nature. We are looking for self-motivated individuals to help us out with daily tasks such as helping in the kitchen, kee...

We have a basic but lovely country home located by the Rangitikei River. We are about 25 minutes from the nearest shop in Hunterville as well as our local pub which is located about 10 minutes away. My husband and I have a 3 year old son Joseph and a 1 year old baby Makayla. We do our best to live off the meat that we hunt and the vegetables we grow. I'm looking for someone to help out with our veggie garden and with general work around the house or with projects that I might be doing at the time of your stay. Our wood shed is currently in need of some repairs so if you are someone that is interested or has experience in building or repairs then you would be a great fit however if this job wouldn't suit you then there's plenty of other chores to do. You'd be looking at around 4 hours of help per day in exchange for food and accommodation. We live on my husband's parents Deer, Sheep and Beef farm. We have 2 pet dogs and a few working dogs as well as some very friendly pet sheep. Che...

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

hi everybody!!! I'm Samuel and I'm looking for a reliable and trusted person right now!! In first i'm an artist , I use to paint and do sculpturing. That's why this place is not only a farm but also my studio. I'm running a small eco and organic farm on a hill (780 mt on the sea level) close to the lake of Lecco. In a way of sustainable life I make grow vegetables and wildberries (strawberries&blueberries) following Permaculture philosophy. This land is full of chestnuts trees, and in september the harvest time come. I feel really lucky because I found a place in which I can live in peace with world trying respecting everybody and every culture. We always learn and take suggestions from all the people we host. The area where I live and work is surrounded by forests and mountains and is perfect for trekking, downhill, gliding, climbing, or just relaxing in the nature and chill. Im vegetarians and I love to cook (not only traditional italian courses) We also really love natu...

Countryside, near Atlántida, Uruguay. We’re a mature couple who work in the city and live on a small farm - a peaceful retreat from the urban rush. Our companions are a few horses and dogs. Most of them came to us from the rescued shelter and in poor condition. With time, care, and patience, we’ve helped them heal. Our farm isn’t a commercial venture; it’s simply a quiet, cozy place to live close to nature. We’re looking for a reliable helper - someone who’s interested in staying with us long-term. What we offer: - Private accommodation in a converted sea container, fully equipped with a gas stove, shower, refrigerator, and other essentials. - Groceries provided - you prepare your own meals. - Free internet access (limited). We can also offer guidance and support with the residency application process for those who wish to stay long-term. If you’re over 25, love animals, enjoy farm life, and consider yourself hardworking, responsible, and adaptable - we’d be happy to welcome you. ...

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to routburn and greenstone tracks.you will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. ,a bit isolated, not for the precious,no trophy hunters !! .please don`t apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only.we do not get involved with internships or visa applications.vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers ! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar ( badly ) and sing ( worse ) ,but it's all about smile not style :-) Cheers Al

We operate a retreat centre, hosting yoga, art, creative writing, hiking, cooking etc. retreats. Each week we have new groups of 12-20 people coming to stay. We are looking for people to provide kitchen help from March until November. The work consists primarily of preparing and serving tables, cleaning the kitchen and supporting the chef (e.g. chopping vegetables). During the winter we offer a possibility for one or two people to stay and help with garden work and maintenance. For most of this time we are closed to the public, so it is very quiet and not well-suited to someone looking for lots of company. Unlike the spring and autumn seasons, you will need to prepare your own meals. Helpers are expected to provide 30 hours per week, in return for board and accommodation - usually 5 hours per day and one day free each week. This can work well either for people traveling on their own or for two friends traveling together. Preferred stay, minimum 3 weeks. NEXT AVAILABILITY: FROM ...

We are beekeepers in a small village near Bayonne, in the south west of France. We live in an old typical farm of the area with animals (one dog, two cats, chickens and millions of bees). We have near to 150 hundred hives which produce different honeys (heather, chestnut, acacia,...). For that we`re moving it in different areas. We are also making some pastry with our honey and we are selling the production on the local shops. We are also gardening, cooking and doing some DIY works at farm. We would please to welcome to you.

We are a young retired couple who live in a peaceful countryside haven in the Tarn region, near Lautrec (4km), Castres (13km), Toulouse (1 hour), and the Pyrenees (1.5 to 3 hours' drive depending on the location). We have three daughters and three grand-children who sometimes come to visit us. Louis was a purchasing executive in the automotive industry, and Marie-Christine was a nurse. Marie-Christine's very elderly parents live nearby, and we support them in their old age. We enjoy many leisure activities, including yoga and community activities (ultralight flying, cultural activities, and social work). Louis speaks fluent English, Spanish, and German. We live on an old farm that we maintain. We enjoy reforesting the area around our land. In 2023, we planted a forest of 2,800 trees. We are currently relocating the vegetable garden, and it would be necessary to build a garden shed. We are also doing some work around the house. Spring is here, and there are all the mowing, planting, and...

** help needed : middle to end of january (or longer), Danielle would appreciate some help while we are away. ** We are an anglo-belgian couple retired to France with our 2 horses and miniature shetland pony, our adult daughter lives with us. French additions to our family include 2 dogs and the chickens. We are active in the local community and there are sometimes events or meals to attend where French is freely spoken. Horses are a big part of our lives. We would like to take on helpers to help and participate with everyday life which is getting harder as we get older! Possible jobs include: helping with the horses and miniature pony as a groom (helping mucking out and poo picking daily, feeding, grooming, fencing) and work in the garden such as weeding, watering and collecting vegetables. The allocation of work depends on your abilities and skills and the time of year. We live in the French countryside, having your own transport - or the ability to live out of town, is ...

We are a hybrid family with a 13-year-old daughter with us 50% of the time and 2 personality filled cats. We are looking for someone (or a couple) to join us in January/February for 4 weeks (or longer). The assistance needed is help in the substantial-sized garden. Gardening/Home Handyperson experience would be great. Because it's spring/summer time the garden will definitely need attention, including preparing the ground and planting. Abigail is a lovely girl (& no, it’s not just us who think so!) She loves reading, board and card games, baking, the trampoline... she's easy to have fun with. She enjoys our international helpers and has created many friendships; most stay in regular contact with us. Sometimes you are required to assist with getting Abigail to and from activities, so a full license is preferred. The overall help requested is a couple of hours per day, Monday to Friday. There is a bit of flexibility as to how these play out. We (Darryl and Theamarie) work from home so...

I am a woman living in a beautiful and remote valley 25km south of Ronda (Málaga). My two daughters study away and they come quite often. We are 1.5km from the nearest little village. We invite you to share our idyllic location for rustic living, where every single drop of water is used consciously and all electricity we use comes from the sun, we can't use the fridge and washing machine from october till april. Our ideal volunteer must like the countryside and animals and enjoy the natural life. A strong handy person is desirable and different skill sets are welcome alongside. Depending on the season, the work might include fixing and repairing fences, chopping wood, picking fruits, preparing the soil for planting, weeding or another unexpected task. In return you will get vegetarian food and experience a simple life under the natural law. The accommodation comprises of a bed-sit room in a building set apart from the main house.

Beautiful 30 acre lifestyle block situated 25 minutes North West from Central Auckland. The closest small town is just 2kms away, and we are centrally located to many local wineries, the closest being The Hunting Lodge which is 1km away. We are looking for motivated, practical people to help with painting, gardening, house cleaning and general outdoor activities. If you have experience with horses that would be a great advantage. We have many different animals, including horses, goats and sheep. We have 2 children, one is 15 and the other is 23. Our helpers are most welcome to involve themselves with the family in outdoor activities and trips.

Volunteers are welcome to share our long drop compost to...
