WELCOME TO PARADISE GLENORCHY! We are a busy couple working full time and needing help with our property. Based in the spot chosen by the original settling family in the area, we have a really well established garden that needs taming and some quirky buildings that need some TLC. Looking for hardy gardeners, handy DIYers and folks who are keen to just generally get stuck in. We have a great retro caravan, sleep out, outdoor kitchen and bathroom set up that's screaming out for someone, two friends or a couple to bring it to life. At this stage we a only provide breakfast, but could do lunch in some situations. We have heaps of freezer space and suggest you stock up on a few dinners, and drinks in Queenstown before you get here as the local shops are a bit pricey. Spark phone signal is limited to the end of the drive, OneNz works just fine. - free internet available. We recommend helpers have there own wheels, as we're 5km outside of Glenorchy. There is however a bike you can use if ...

Sorry folks, we are now fully booked until the beginning of April 2027. There may be a cancellation, but these are very rare, but if you are in the area, reach out, we love to chat :) As well as the normal homesteading tasks, if you want to learn about wine making, bee keeping, jewellery making, or take some self defence lessons we could be a great match. Have a think, take a look at our reviews and if you are interested, drop us a line, *** Our beautiful countryside homestead (only 5 acres so not really a farm) is in the mountainous hills above the historic castle town of Caccamo, Sicily. Within easy traveling distance for those interested in exploring this culturally rich island, is the seaside town of Cefalù or even the main capital city of Palermo, both are easily accessible by bus and train from the local town. We work daily on various homesteadin...

This is an idyllic location 2km out of Mullumbimby (Alternative culture.. population 5,000.. close to Byron Bay... plenty of shops). I live in an old house which is 2 Queensland style structures, interconnected by verandas with a good sized pool (see photos). There is bus transport to beaches at Byron Bay (20 mins) and Brunswick Heads. (10 mins). This area is known for alternative life style and free thinking. My name is Derek Spice (AKA Dee to friends). The photo of me shown was taken recently at my daughters wedding in London. I had several successful businesses in the UK before moving to Australia in 1996 with partner and 3 children. My partner., Jane Hanckel, lives close by and we have a good relationship. ....I am sometimes grumpy but easily pleased particularly if Helpx guests laugh at my sometimes bad jokes. PLEASE READ MY HELPX GUEST REVIEWS. I have been in radical action to release Julian Assange (now achieved) and to stop the war in Gaza. Also to revolutionize mainstr...

We are a family of four originally from the states, but now living in Nelson. We’ve been here for about 6 years now. Our kiddos are 16 and 13. We have a little beagle, four chickens, and a little country-like home only 15 minutes walking distance to central Nelson. We love all things outdoors, including biking, swimming, boating, fishing, tramping, and loads of sports. Happy to include new friends in our hobbies. We all enjoy meeting new people and sharing our love of connection while showing off the beautiful little region we call home. Our little property is snuggled up in the Maitai valley, with swimming holes just a few minutes walk away. Lots of walking tracks all around. The center of town is about a 15-20 minute walk. Most everything is in walking distance or you can catch the bus in town. We love to cook healthy, delicious meals. We could use help with gardening, weeding out sections, building projects we have going on to improve our sheds, and outdoor house maintenance. In e...

Hi! I'm Tonje and I moved to my farm in 2020. And there's always a lot to do here. This small farm is in a very small town, by the fjord in Hardanger. Its a good place for hiking and culture. The area is quiet and scenic. The closest cities are Odda and Bergen. The bosses of the house are 4 dogs and 3 cats. Right now I don't have any farm animals of my own. But the neighbor's sheep live here too. I would have been very grateful for various help on my small farm. The work can be very varied. But I need help with maintenance of the outdoor area, wood working, chopping firewood and snow shoveling. I also have an airbnb, so cleaning, organize and tidying jobs are also tasks that I may need help with. Help are appreciated a lot. For your help, I can offer beautiful scenery, food and a private bedroom.

We started our Vineyard back in 2004, it is located in a Beautiful,Quiet,Valley along the bluffs of the Mississippi River. We have five children that have now grown and moved out on there own. I just retired from a career of Process Instrument Work at the local power plant. I could use some help with the Vineyard and Gardens, but also enjoy fishing and boating on the river in the evenings and of course days off. We would be willing to supply your own bedroom, great meals and WiFi. We also have two Female Collies that love to get brushed and played with. The ideal person would have to be able to work on there own or in a small group, after some training of course to get you up to your comfort level, so as you basically understand what the goals might be for the time of year and tasks at hand, a five hour day,if the weather permits, is what we usually work . There might be a few longer days, but I`m sure that having time off to check out the area won`t be any problem. If you would care t...

Tena koe, nau mai, haramai ki Tokomaru Bay, a small, predominately Maori seaside community on the East Coast. We live on a four acre lifestyle block in the peaceful Kaiawha Valley about a two minute drive from the village and the beach. There is a 4 Square Supermarket, a cafe and a tavern in the village. We have a room with a queen bed in a sleep out, with helpers own separate lounge/kitchenette. Access to washing machine. The bathroom is inside the main house located a few metres away. Most of the work we require is gardening, landscaping, milking cow, feeding animals, preserving food, servicing our Bed and Breakfast (List 1 Historic Places building) firewood, weed eating, mowing and general maintenance. Jan is a teacher and does some casual relieving and Bill works from home developing Te Reo Maori learning resources for our local tribe and teaches Te Reo Maori one day a week. Both of us are involved in our community, at the marae and other activities. We think 'whanau' s...

🏡 Welcome to my home - The property is set on approximately 3 acres of bushland and is home to wallabies, native birdlife and the occasional koala. We are only minutes from Currumbin Beach, Burleigh Heads, national parks, shops and public transport. I have hosted many travellers over the years and enjoy meeting people from different cultures who are independent, respectful and happy to contribute to a shared household. I share the property with my two small dogs, Dastin and Tensing, who are very much part of the household. Animal lovers are especially welcome. Accommodation- has continued to improve as the property recovers from a long period of insurance and restoration works. For quite some time we were making do with temporary arrangements, including inflatable beds, however I have now been able to furnish two guest rooms. Accommodation currently includes: • One bedroom with a queen bed • One bedroom with a double sofa bed The bathroom is shared with one other resident. Shared...

Please read our profile carefully, and see our website and instagram. If you feel you are the right person or people for us, we look forward to receiving your application. This is a permaculture small farm on the edge of Violet Town, just 800m from the train station. The farm is well established, as most tree planting was done between 1996 and 2000, and the tree crops are well maintained and productive. Murrnong has a large established fruit and nut orchard, an olive grove, vegetable gardens, chickens, milking goats, bees, forestry for shelter and timber, and large dam for irrigation and swimming. Our house is made of timber and mud brick, and we catch our own water. Most of our food comes from the house garden and farm, including a huge range of fresh fruit all year round, a range of vegetables for each season, honey, cheese, olive oil, table olives, and home killed or hunted meat. We eat shared meals, most meals are vegetarian. Type of jobs: farm and garden work, combined with l...

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

This is a language cafe is designed for those who are willing to meet Korean locals and the ones from overseas. We provide them with the time and the place to meet and get to know each other while have conversations in English. I know from my experience that travelling or staying in other countries is not just doing sightseeing but experiencing the real life there. Here we try to bond them together as friends. If you are looking for something that can give you a chance to meet locals and to be mingled with them, this would be the best option for you. About the program : This is about the language practice and sharing their cultures, experiences and the thoughts. As long as you are an easygoing person to talk, open-minded and fluent in English, you can join us. As we are NOT looking for English teachers, it really doesn't matter which country you're from and you don't have to teach but have a conversation in English. And basically it is a 2 way conversation so you don't have to ta...

We run a beef cattle stud of about 400 Herefords 50km south of Fox Glacier. A lot of stock work is done on horseback. Close to the sea, mountains, river and lakes. Good fishing and hunting at the back door. Help around the house and garden is always appreciated, as well as help with all other general farm tasks. I would like to point out that this is farm producing livestock primarily for meat. We are also a largely carnivorous household. We would prefer your first contact with us to be messaging through this site rather than cold calling on phone. You have seen our listing ,we would like to see yours. Current tasks : Mustering for calf marking/tattooing , Silage and baleage making .shifting stock, ,fencing, with maybe some tractor driving Horse riding experience an advantage but not essential. We always have fences to repair. Also the routine stock shifting and general farm work. And there is always the need to shoot another deer for fresh meat.

We breed and raise dwarf goats and chickens and ducks. We are a 162 acre farm, next to the Puketi Forest near Kerikeri. We have hills, streams & ponds and are centrally located for sight seeing. Your own suite with toilet and shower, kitchenette with fridge, microwave and kettle etc. 25 mins to Kerikeri, Bay of Islands. We ask for 5 hours work a day for accommodation and food. We have good and plentiful food here, as I am a chef! Chores focus on the farm, the land, goats, projects, weeding and fence clearing. Also can include planting, landscaping and painting and work on my new pottery studio build-out, and many more, depending on your skills. Also, we have projects to get stuck into, that vary on the time of year. We can collect you from the bus stop or Kerikeri Airport. We usually have other young helpers also.. ** Note: We do Farm Stay also, that is like Air BNB for people who want to get out of the town and experience a NZ farm lifestyle. Thanks Julia

We have an automotive country workshop, which we have closed down to retire and now we are about to tidy up and empty our. 32 years of bits and pieces - and memories. But we still look after our little farm, some sheep and some rabbits. We are always in need of a couple of helpful hands to support us during this time of dismantling and clearing out. A mature, non-smoking, self-organized person or couple, preferable not a vegetarian, to give us a hand with house and workshop tidy up, would be the best fit. Our daily routine starts with a breakfast at around 7.30am and then we feed all the animals, especially the hungry dogs and work starts at 8.30am. We expect about 4 hours work per day and we offer a nice room with a lovely warm bed, great meals, and a reasonable amount of WiFi. Help with dishes is not regarded as work though! We do enjoy a beer or a wine after work, but we have a NO DRUGS policy. We integrate our helpers like a family member and mostly have only one or a couple...

We are a group of friends who decided three years ago to restore a beautiful old village/motel in Jindabyne. We are looking for like minded individuals who are passionate about restoration/building and maintenance, love nature and have a good nature and willing to share a laugh over some good food. We have hosted people from all around the world, including all over Europe, Asia, North and South America. The motel is a 5-minute drive from local amenities such as supermarkets, shops, pubs, and a skate park. From June to September there are plenty of winter activities including skiing, tobogganing, and snowboarding at nearby ski resorts, just 30 minutes away. In summer, there are plenty of hikes, mountain biking, fishing, as well as the beach at Jindabyne Lake, Blue Lake and we are 30 minutes from the tallest mountain in Australia- Mount Koscioscko. Yarrangobilly Caves and nearby thermal pools are about one hour away. Our beautiful site features a serene river, where you can go...

We moved back to Dunedin 8 years ago and since have made the garden more diverse by taking out a hedge to plant some native trees to provide better habitat for birds, insects, etc. There is now general upkeep and maintenance in the garden, including some tree and shrub cutting back, and some plants to be moved to more suitable locations within the garden. I focus on growing good organic vegetables, but also enjoy my flower garden. We have an 8 year old dog, Mocha. She was a rescue puppy, and is a Huntaway cross. We have a clean comfortable home, can cook vegetarian or vegan meals if required and are on a bus route which takes 8 - 10 min to the centre of Dunedin.

I would be very happy to welcome volunteer teachers who are willing to help at my school for two or three months, or even for a full semester. *I want the volunteers who work at my school to not feel like they are working. Instead, I want them to feel that they are enjoying themselves and having a holiday while staying with us. Their room is fully equipped with air conditioning, hot showers, and a spacious private room that is separate from the main house, so they can feel comfortable and relaxed during their stay.* My name is Edison I have a wife, her name is Nofi. I also have two children, Ochta (32 years old) and Fadlil (12 years old). Ochta can speak English. I run a private English school for children between the ages of 7 and 19 in the small town of Batusangkar, West Sumatra. My goal as the principal of the school is to provide youth from my region with the English skills required to communicate better in the modern world, and therefore provide them with better opportunities ...

We are getting our home ready to sell and need some help with cleaning, gardening and repairs to get it looking nice. Anything you can help with - cleaning, gardening, washing, painting, pressure washing. We are just super short on time and not getting through it. Our house has a seperate self contained 2 bedroom space with a full bathroom and basic cooking facilities that you can stay in. You'll have your own private space in exchange for helping us out around the house for half a day each day. One room has a king bed and another has a queen. This would suit a couple, or friends. Staying for 3 or 4 nights or more would be great. Our house is 15 mins walk from Angels Beach in East Ballina. We are a couple from Canada and NZ with an 8 year old child. We both work full time so need help to get our place looking nice. We have used Helpx quite a lot in the past and have had great experiences. Please get in touch if you think you could help out.

It is our mission to provide visitors from all over the world with an authentic experience of the unique atmosphere and culture of our home in Canada’s far North. As a well-established tourism company, we are diversifying our impacts and create a more resilient business. Doing this is not only fulfilling our long-term mission of developing a self-sustaining Arctic Eco-Village, but also investigating innovative solutions to major obstacles facing communities in the North: food and housing insecurity, decolonizing our economy, capacity development and cultural revitalization. Sustainable farming is not the only focus we have here, but we are continuously developing ideas and trying new farming methods. We are happy to find people from all over the world who are as motivated as we are to make living in the Arctic more sustainable. Organic methods: In the summer time, when we enjoy 24 hour sunshine, we grow our plants in greenhouses without the use of any chemical/artificial fertilizers....

G'day. We are a small tribe of people consistin of 3 adults, 2 kids, 2 big emus and hundreds of plants and animals. There's always a community of people on the hill to do projects in the bush, building, food growing and more. We are spread accross 2 main shantys and small dwellings across the property. We live right up in the bush in mixed tree country, mainly a mix of tea tree scrub, grass land, dry sclerophyll forest and even buttongrass. It is managed in a variety of ways including cool burns, thinning, slashing and weir building. There are tracks all over to explore and a few caves to hang out in. There is a creek and a few dams. The bird life here is amazing. We are 3km from the beach. We back on to a huge reserve so no Neighbors close and plenty of bush and wildlife. We are completely off the grid and have skills and knowledge to build, tann, sew, cook, garden, hunt, butcher, preserve, fix anything mechanical, power systems, plumbing, art, story telling the list goes on. i have n...

It is surrounded scraggy mountains and long valley walks. It is perfect for hiking or just relaxing in the sun with a good book.

Current tasks : Mustering for calf marking/tattooing , Silage and baleage making .shifting stock, ,fencing, with maybe some tractor driving Horse riding experience an advantage but not essential.

Hi there 😊 We are, Deb and Mark, Caleb (25) Noah (23) and 17 year old Grace. Mark is a production manager at Air New Zealand and I home school Grace (formally a mental health nurse and volunteer coordinator for the local food bank). We live on 17 acres of land with cows, sheep, chickens, a rabbit, three cats (Squeak, Sophie and Ivy) Wilson, Cove and Pippa the dogs and three horses called Kalia, Frosty, and Jed. Accommodation is in your own warm and cosy cabin with its own bathroom, fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster (just a few metres from the house). Lots of lovely walks nearby. All meals provided (healthy, tasty and nutritious) and in exchange, we'd like some help with gardening and perhaps a bit of painting and cleaning (4 hours per day, and the day off on Sundays 🙂) The town centre has a library, large supermarket, farmer's market, banks, post office, pharmacy, gift shops and cafes and bars etc. Biking distance to the beach (3 kms) and local wineries.

UPDATE: Currently this helpx position is most suited to couples, preferably with a car and some renovation experience. We are a multi generation family and we live in a large family home on a beautiful outer suburban property by a creek. On our doorstep are beautiful wildflower walk trails (and kangaroos!:) in Mundy Regional Park and Lesmurdie Falls National Park. Kanyana Wildlife sanctuary is nearby. We have a large garden that needs lots of work. I have an art studio where I conduct art classes for children. The home is located in the Perth hills about 30 minutes from the city centre and 15 minutes to the airport. The accommodation is a large bedroom** in a self contained apartment on the ground floor. This area is currently being renovated but the bathroom and small kitchen are still usable. ** Helpers can also use the family space upstairs and we can all cook/eat together in the large family kitchen. I would need 24 hours (4 hours/day x 6 days but timing is flexible) help f...

We are completely off the grid and have skills and knowledge to build, tann, sew, cook, garden, hunt, butcher, preserve, fix anything mechanical, power systems, plumbing, art, story telling the list goes on. i have n...

Kia Ora travellers, we are keen to welcome you to our place. If you have only just arrived and are trying to find your way around then we'd be happy to help you or Ii you are just looking for a little taste of normal Kiwi rural life we would love to host you. We are looking for helpers at the moment. Generally we offer about a week's work but if interested there might be a possibility of a longer stay with some housesitting involved. Meg and I are a young couple (in our sixties), our three daughters have now all left home and are living their own independent lives. We love to have young people around. We will make sure to spend some time with you as we enjoy helping with English, while still leaving you plenty of time to yourselves. Our home is on a lovely quiet rural property with a stunning view of Ohiwa Estuary, less than 10mins from Ohope (in the beautiful Eastern Bay of Plenty) and Whakatane (famous for trips to White Island although due to tragic events these trips are not...

INTRODUCTION This is NOT a hostel, but a personal project aimed to become an educational & cultural spot in the neighborhood. It means, you will NOT work following a set of rules to make profits for a bussiness, but to participate with ideas/creativity/emotions/action to develop a social-aimed venture. Please, before introducing yourself, which is very nice, ask me if the days you apply are available to welcome you. Applications are accepted in order of arrival and mutual agreement :) BASIC BENEFITS - Wide garden, bedroom, living room, little kitchen. They all are simple. Any area is shared. - Breakfast will be provided by the host the work days. However, the lunch and dinner can be cooked in the kitchen by the guest/volunteer/friend. I am flexible to talk about these and other clauses. - You handle to organize your work hours/days. ADDITIONAL BENEFITS - Welcome cocktail or typical Peruvian meal. - Detailed advice on transport or interesting spots in the area or the country (I've...
