We have a beautiful 6 hectare property in a really awesome valley. We have animals, a stream, lots of things growing. We have a large 3 bedroom house. We have a warm modern caravan for helpers to sleep in and all the other amenities are in the house. We have 3 awesome kids (only two live at home) and a great family vibe. We need help with working the land and making it as productive as we can. We need people who are hard working and take initiative. Prior experience is great but if you are a fast learner and up for a challenge then that is great too. A love of animals is definitely helpful as well. Projects include - gardening, building, organising, helping with animals, help around the house, fencing, tree planting and more. Cheers Regan and Lisa

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

For 2 decades I ran a big guest house where I received travellers and volunteers. Now I moved to a small house in a residential area no far from downtown, were I will be happy to welcome volunteers to fix some things to settle in this new house. I can receive ONE person for 1-2 weeks. I bring private room + breakfast to help me 3 h/day, Mon to Fri, on mornings (possible shifts). For other meals we can share the expenses and I will cook, or I will tell you places to eat cheap.when you go to visit diff. places of this amazing city. I will also give tips on places to visit that are not in tourist brochures. Tasks: cleaning, painting, some repairs around the house and/or the car. I'm a retired engineer and a handyman, so you could learn new skills... but not from zero. If you never took a broom or a hammer, and only studied managenet, administration or philosophy... this is not the right place. Also if you have only one useful hand because you're 24/7 digital addict to...

My property is 10 hectares on the West Coast of the South Island, which starts at the coast with sand beach and sunsets and heads inland 1km through native wetlands and forest. Approximately 20km from Westport, 1km from Tauranga Bay! Public transport is limited? I'm a Certified Plumber and Drainlayer by trade but recently retired to work on property (next stage of life!) I have hosted many people through Couchsurfing over the years! Helpx is a new concept for me I purchased the property which is in need of a lot of work to tidy up, contouring/fencing/and planting trees etc. I'm now into planting out and setting up orchard also clearing introduced plants and replanting with natives. Current projects are building a new cottage for myself which is at the internal painting stage! and similar 2-bedroom cottage as a guest house which is at the internal lining and painting stage! both will be total off grid power and water supply. Next on the list is building a hot house and shade house I'...

Sheep are sheared so now they have their new winter outfit, they'll stay in the warmth of the barn. Sowe need some volunteers to feed the sheep and make yourself friend sheep while you clean the barn to keep it nice for them. There can be some other extra task Beggi (the farmer) can ask you to do, but still, you'll have free time to enjoy hot spots and swimming pool! You can of course text even if you're available another time of the year ! (We just won’t host from the 24th of December to the 6th of January) Message us on WhatsApp or on HelpX. My WhatsApp number is above. Send me (Caroline, who runs the HelpX) a message! You can also message Beggi (the farmer) directly via the Facebook link, named after Beggi's cat! Profile picture is of the cat as well (Beggi doesn't have that many hair!)! Where to start? We are a family in the western part of Iceland, at the gates of the Westfjords, Beggi runs the sheep farm. We have more than 500 sheep and all possible troubles that can be connec...

Accommodation is in the “blueberry cottage,' a self-contained flat that is across the lawn from our house. It has two bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen/dining room, computer and wifi. I stock the kitchen with good ingredients and between those and the orchard goodies you assemble your own breakfast. We start at 830 and work for four hours. I make a big lunch at the house for everyone (lots of home made bread and cakes) and the afternoons/evenings are your own. I'll keep the larder stocked with whatever food you like, we don't eat much meat but can supply it. We have bikes for your use and are surrounded by wineries, or there's always a shady tree to nap under. Warning we do have insects, and in the summer picking time can't take helpers who are colourblind. For ease of booking we'd prefer if you can plan on coming and going on Mondays, one week minimum stay. We are a ten minute walk from the bus stop. Here's a little video on us, bit dated now but it'll give you the idea https://ww...

The accomodation is a 8' x 12' studio with a small covered front porch. There's high speed wifi and solar power, and it's surrounded by forest. There's a nice hexagonal composting toilet, an outdoor shower, and a shared kitchen and dining area. Looking for someone who can work independently on some tasks (gardening, painting) while I'm at my day job, and we'll work together some too (tree planting, construction projects). I work as a zipline guide and love touring people around the Island, so I'd be happy to take you on adventures on the weekends too!

We live on a 5-hectare avocado orchard in the beautiful Bay of Plenty, 5 minutes from Waihi Beach. We are looking for people interested in short stays in return for 3 hours of work per day or equivalent, helping garden, cleaning, painting, and/or working on the orchard. We appreciate people helping with dishes, etc., after meals. Wendy works Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and our youngest daughter goes to school. During those days, you will be left to work by yourself. For that reason, we prefer two people who have transport. We are a Christian household. Chloe, our youngest, has spent six months in France and has been learning French. She speaks French, so if you are still learning English, Chloe can translate for you when she is home. We have a sleepout located next to a tennis court, featuring one double bed, a shower, and a toilet. We also have free Wifi for guests. We have surfboards, and Waihi Beach is less than 5 km away. We prefer people who are not vegetarian or...

My name is Edison I have a wife, her name is Nofi. I also have two children, Ochta (32 years old) and Fadlil (12 years old). Ochta can speak English. I run a private English school for children between the ages of 7 and 19 in the small town of Batusangkar, West Sumatra. My goal as the principal of the school is to provide youth from my region with the English skills required to communicate better in the modern world, and therefore provide them with better opportunities in their lives. I would like to welcome any fluent English speakers under the age of thirty to assist my teachers in the classroom. You would help immensely by having simple conversations with the students and providing them a real English speaking experience inside or outside the classroom. All the students are very welcoming and curious about my visitors, and I am certain that you will have a great experience while interacting with them. You can expect to answer all their questions, pose for pictures, and be invited...

CURRENTLY SEEKING A SINGLE MALE / FEMALE or COUPLE, but please feel free to ask if you have some availability either now or in the future. A MINIMUM COMMITMENT of at least one month is required please. It takes about 2 weeks to settle in and learn things plus shorter stays do not allow you to fully experience all that is on offer in our beautiful area. Katie and I own a small crofting home in the rural heart of the Scottish West Highlands in a tiny village called Lochailort and we need help all year round. A good understanding of the English language is necessary. This location is not ideal for improving or learning English, as interaction with us and others can be limited. We are always looking for willing, reliable, pro-active, self motivated and enthusiastic volunteers :) Please whatsapp our mobile number or leave a message here if you are interested in a placement with us. We are particularly keen on couples with the male having some basic building or gardening / home growing sk...

I own a 15 acre lifestyle farm overlooking the sea at Kuaotunu on the beautiful Coromandel Peninsula. I have 6 Alpacas, 2 cattle, 1 cat and 1 dog. I would like help to care for the gardens, grounds, 2 glamping sites and animals. I offer 3 good meals and morning tea per day, and accommodation in a caravan, in return for 4.5 hours work per day that you are with me. If you wish to work a full day and have a full day off, I will do my best to accommodate that. The property has stunning close views of the sea and islands, a Pa site (a high hill where there was once a fortified Maori village)and is about 10-15 minutes walk down to the beach. Kuaotunu village is very small but is in a beautiful location with a general store and a very cool rustic beach shack style pizza restaurant - Lukes Kitchen - which has excellent wood fired pizzas and other food and often has live music in the summer. There is also a fabulous cafe - Kua Kawhe, with a great selection of food made on the premises - they m...

We run a three bedroom accomodation located in the beautiful historic area of Kerikeri just up from the Stone Store. We are looking for preferably a single person (ranking as mature) interested in staying at the lodge and taking care of the general running of things (around 2-4 hours per day , negotiable) This is very relaxed and mostly entails greeting guests in the afternoons and showing them to their rooms (only when we have bookings), cleaning rooms if the cleaner is away, taking bookings as well as some general property maintenance. You will stay in a separate part of the lodge with full kitchen, private room and bathroom. I am generally around the lodge most days but leave in the evenings as I live with my partner out of Kerikeri. So we work as a team. This means you will likely be taking care of yourself in the evenings, so being able to cook is important. (Potentially not as social at it has been in the past when my son and his partner were living there full time) . We inc...

LOOKING FOR HELPERS NOW. In return for 4 hours help a day I offer you accommodation and all meals in a sunny, warm home where you will have your own bedroom (queen size bed) and own bathroom with the added privacy of being in a separate wing of my house. My sunny home sits atop a hill from which you will have a magnificent view of the township of Blenheim to Cook Strait and the hills of the North Island beyond. Of course if you would prefer to work a full day in order to have a day off in which you could explore the nearby Marlborough Sounds, cycle the wine trails, or walk or climb on any of the formed tracks in this area, that would be just fine. My 40 ha property is a sheep/beef farm most of which is leased. I tend a large garden and care for the drive and tracks, drainage and irrigation and deal with fallen trees. It is situated in the midst of vineyards in the Brancott Valley 13km from Blenheim (pop 30,000) which contests the annual sunshine record every year. Most of the wor...

If you are interested in learning about Nepalese cultures, cuisines, traditions and festivals, then a homestay is the best way to see the real Nepal. By doing this you will be introduced to a plethora of brand new experiences in an authentic Nepalese environment; rich with culture. An additional plus will be the warm and welcoming Nepalese hospitality at its best within our home. We have three members in our family: me (Shanker), my mother and our daughter (Chun Chun) who is 17 years old. My brother Pradeep runs a small money exchange office in Thamel, which is about a 20 minutes direct walk from our home. Our home is located in a very safe and peaceful residential area called Gongabu Town Planning, Gongabu. We belong to the Newar ethnic group, who are the indigenous people of Kathmandu Valley. Newari culture is historically rich and possesses many unique traditions and rituals; one of which includes marrying our daughters to the bel-tree fruit and the Sun. At the same time, you wi...

This is only the second school in Nagarkot, nice Nepalese village in Bhaktapur district; a 1.5 hrs bus ride from Kathmandu. It hopes to provide an English medium education for underprivileged children. The school has 7 staff members taking care of its 80+ students - aged from 4 to 12 years old - and would benefit from any help volunteers can provide. Livestock Farm/Ranch Area of my property: 360.00acres We are not certified organic, however chemicals are not used for production Management Intensive Grazing MIG; Mob Grazing; Low Stress Livestock Handling; Natural Horseman Ship Methodologies: Without chemicals or pesticides Animals: Goats, Chicken Products made: Live Animals and Eggs The Ranch is nestled in the beautiful Ottawa River Valley, right where the rich farmlands of the valley give way to the Laurentian shield. We have been fully vaccinated and will welcome helpers who have also been fully vaccinated. My niece and I have a scenic country home on two acres with spectacular views of rolling hills. There are excellent hiking and biking trails nearby, and beaches of Lake Simcoe are only 20 minutes away by car, one hour by bike. We will be happy to drive you there. Two bicycles and high speed WiFi is available. We have two dogs and two cats. We are located one hour north of Toronto - accessible by Go Transit to Newmarket, where we will pick you up. Hi, I'm Lucia. I own a family-run organic and natural winery for four generations. We have 15 hectares of vineyards, a wine cellar for tastings, a parking area for campers, mostly from Europe but also from around the world, and a vacation home that hosts mostly foreigners. We're simple, welcoming, and passionate about our work. We're three people who work on the farm: me, my partner Andrea, and my cousin Francesco, who loves the countryside and nature. In fact, he often goes hunting for mushrooms and truffles in the woods or fishing with his Lagottos. Andrea is passionate about cooking traditional local dishes, and I love vegan cuisine and homeopathy. I also love my job and showing my passion in everything I do. From creating my wines in the cellar, which are different every year because I love experimenting, to welcoming campers, welcoming visitors, and hosting tastings. I enjoy interior design, so I've decorated all these spaces according to my own style: simple yet original. I have ...

Hello Potential Volunteers My name is Paul and it was my dream to change my lifestyle from being an office worker to becoming an alpaca farmer.... here we are 14 years later with 100 alpacas, each individually cherishes with names and unique personalities, plus an assortment of other animals all needing our love :) I have three children: Liam (21), Dylan (9) and Oscar (6), and our 100-acre farm is home to approx.100 alpacas, plus llamas, peacocks, hens, mini pigs, a cat named Sexy, and our farm dog Malta. This year we are expecting 20 'cria' (baby alpacas) and each one will need our help so they can thrive! We need to ensure they get colostrum (filled with antibodies and vital for good health) – have they fed from their mums within the first 24hrs? Are they then drinking enough milk from their mums every day? Are they gaining weight? The well-being of my animals is the most important thing on the farm. Do they have good food and enough water, and the best possible natural environme...

Hello everyone! My name is Bird, I was working in Chiang-Mai as a photographer for 2 years then decided to become a farmer and create a Thai traditional agriculture permaculture farm in 2018. I wish to create a relaxing place that allows people from all over the world to take their time to experience life in harmony with nature. I also have four water buffalo on our farm, named Tony, Laura, Hanna and Charlie. We are a local family with a desire to preserve our simple, sustainable way of life so that we can give back to and protect mother earth. Our farm is located in Pua city, 70km north of Nan province surrounded by the mountains and rice fields, in Northern Thailand. Currently, we have done with natural buildings on the farm, including bamboo huts, fences, and wooden houses. “Life is better with a Buffalo” is our farm goal and “Happiness only real when shared “ is our motto. We live in a nature sanctuary on Corfu island in Greece. we are a COMMUNITY of PLANTS, ANIMALS AND HUMAN BEINGS, who try to live together IN THE SPIRIT OF NATURE. we are organized similar to a zen monastery. yet we are not affiliated to any religious body, but to the holy body of our mother earth. the earth takes care of us. the earth gives to us what we need. she gives us and she for-gives us – she never asks for money… we admire the communities in nature (ecosystems), where all members balance their needs and gifts in a healthy way, without money, without machines and without chemicals. here in NATURE’S SANCTUARY we try to live in harmony with nature. we try to support and protect all our nature brothers and sisters, who share this sanctuary with us… it is a CHALLENGE TO LIVE IN HARMONY WITH NATURE. it is a challenge to protect and support all nature beings in a way, that they have the chance to live in their own natural born communities. we are looking for people, who want to take...

Vets , vet nurses, dog trainers/behaviorists and dedicated animal lovers needed to help take care of the animals on this small and beautiful island. This is a great opportunity to have a hugely rewarding experience whilst making a positive impact on the lives of the animals and the community. We provide free self-contained accommodation and you will be able to sample the "old time Caribbean" on a very friendly, unspoilt island with beautiful beaches.

Hello! We are Abdel & Luke, qualified English tutors from Morocco (Abdel) and the small island of Guernsey (Luke), living in the city of Kelaa, Morocco. As part of a small team of locals and volunteers we have just launched a new language school in addition to our sister school in neighbouring L’Attaouia - At the moment we are mainly focusing on English, German, Italian and French so if you are a native speaker - or have some ability or fluency - we are super happy to have you. Our aim is to bring unique learning experiences to students and give them an invaluable cultural exchange - the main goal being to improve their language abilities to enrich their lives and futures as for so many this is vital to better opportunities in work and life. Here, you will be immersed in true Moroccan life, far away from the touristic normalities most may experience and expect.

Volunteers can expect to as class helpers and also share teaching tips with the school if they can. Volunteers can also help beautify the classrooms murals to help the kids as visual aids during their school time. Becoming an independent class teacher is also an option for long-term volunteers as soon as they have a grasp on the school's curriculum and vision for students. Other jobs for volunteers include: - Writing class exercises and homework exercises for students (we have no printing/photocopying facilities) - Designing class quizzes and tests - Introducing interactive, educational games through which children can learn ...

The farm is set on 1.5 acres of land with vegetable gardens, rice paddies, farm stay and pizza restaurant. Currently, we have done with natural buildings on the farm, including bamboo huts, fences, and wooden houses. “Life is better with a Buffalo” is our farm goal and “Happiness only real when shared “ is our motto. Y...
