Learn about gardening, woodworking and find yourself on a journey to your soul in Macclesfield, South Australia Thank you for your interest in volunteering. We appreciate help, enjoy young people having an excuse to visit the beautiful and interesting places Adelaide, the hills and the Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia have to offer with them. We are regularly being booked 3 to 4 months in advance with mostly long-term guests. This should not deter you to ask anyway as booked helpers sometimes cancel their spot. We have organic gardens with fruit trees, all sorts of berries, vegetable gardens with free roaming bantams, big layer hens, flower beds, lawns as well as a goat on paddocks and a cute house cat. 1 of our 4 kids, Katharina, is living next door with her partner. We appreciate help with DIY repairs and maintenance, timber work, upgrading a dinghy to fit a roof and remote steering, repairs to trailer and for help with early morning gardening, housekeeing, cooking and dog walking on the beach. We are looking for reasonably good DIY handymen and women, capable of working effectively, when necessary, on your own or as a pair and, ideally, someone who also has some gardening experience, but that is not really necessary, learn on the job! 😉👍. So you need to be a "morning person" who is happy to start work at 07.00 hr, at least five mornings a week, not a night-owl. This is to avoid the heat of the afternoons at this time of year, mornings ca n be beautiful. Much of the work will be outside, based out of a well-equipped, air-conditioned, woodworking workshop and/or in our vegetable garden and hen and duck coops, just over 100 meters from a very quiet, sandy beach.🧜‍♂️ Opportunities on your day off include fishing, sailing, snorkeling, weat...

Autonomy for everyone, especially for you and us at mealtime ... Resources are shared according to the availability of the moment. More possibilities if my children are not there, less if I have other guests ... fortuitous ... In the meantime we have no shortage of space in the garden to let you plant your tent or you lend a space... This is the minimum we can guarantee. A cabin is also available on the family sailboat ... Here too, there is work ... The room with double bed of the house is not often free for our helper sometimes the chance does things well, ask what you want, we are in French Polynesia climate is stable all year ;-) We will not ask for more than 2 or 3 hours of help a day in exchange we plan to lodge without food, although fruits from the garden are still part of the tradition of sharing the house... It's up to you to do your shopping and your dish washing and cleaning up after, the load will be in our situation not equitable otherwise.

Our names are Rick and Cath, a retired couple living in coastal Hawkes Bay in a little area known as Waimarama, near Havelock North. . We'd like to offer free accomodations in return for a couple hours help around the garden a day. Which will leave you plenty of time to explore round and enjoy many wonderful places around the Hawkes Bay area. The accomodations is a self contained cabin with cooking facilities and bathroom, 300 meters from beach just north of Waimarama, which has a double bed (able to convert to two singles), bunks and sofa bed. Waimarama village is 4km away and Havelock North and Hastings 30 and 35 minutes away. Napier is 40 mins away. We are coastal rural, off the grid on solar and tank water and Internet available . We'd love help with general weeding in garden, and and if you're up for it a newly developing native tree area where help with planting seedlings and general care would be appreciated.

Hi everyone! We have a beautiful property a short walk/drive away from a gorgeous New Zealand beach. We live 45 minutes from Hamilton and 20-25 minutes from Raglan. Our area is very remote - we have some neighbours but there are no shops here or public transport, just farmland. So if you enjoy being away from cities and people then this is the place for you! Our property suits people who enjoy the outdoors and surfing, hiking, walking, animals, solitude. There is a beautiful mountain right by our house for hiking, great surfing and fishing in the area, and Raglan (a little over 20 minutes away) which is a vibrant and energetic little beach town with world famous surf. This exchange is for accommodation only. We have a cabin with a big bed and beautiful views of the farmland and mountain and sea. There is a kitchenette for you to keep and cook your own food. The bathroom is about 20 metres away from the cabin and it is a composting toilet with shower that does the job but is gravity-f...

We are looking for helpers from the start of May. We have three small cabins, two with double beds and one with a single bed so room for up to five helpers normally but only four at the moment (two double beds).. All the helpers share a kitchen and bathroom. Right now we need help with some building work so preference will be given to people who already have some skills with tools.. We are a great place to start or end your time in New Zealand as we are only 45 minutes drive from Auckland airport. The work will be varied and interesting but usually building and garden based. It could include finishing off an underground earth bag hobbit hole. We have a passion for earth building and organic gardening. Its good if you are over the age of 20, are self motivated and can work unsupervised. We are located on Auckland's beautiful West Coast only 40mins drive from Auckland central city. We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. Please note, we cannot host anyone with any pre existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions). We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. WELCOME to the Human Rewilding Project. We are young married couple coming from very different cultures and upbringings. We are living our dream of experiencing what it means to be alive as a proper human being. And that on our own land in one of the most beautiful and wild corners of Scotland. We aspire to become self sufficient in all we need for a happy and healthy life. Our house and the main parts of the croft lie on a hill with a breathtaking view onto Oldshoremore Beach. The view from our living room or from the garden invite for frequent moments of still admiration and gratitude. Alexa grew up on a Finca in the jungle of Costa Rica within her tribe, the Boruca. She was born into a lineage of healers and understands deeply the ways of plants and other beings. She learned from her elders about natural health, herbal remedies and energy work. One of her many missions is to pass on her shamanic knowledge and thus keeping alive her indigenous heritage. But the most important one...

We extend a warm invitation to join us on our farm this spring. We have availability from March into April — a beautiful time of year here, when everything is waking up again and the island feels full of fresh energy. Please inquire for availability during other times of the year. It’s a lovely chance to slow down, breathe, and really feel nature all around you. We’re right by the seaside, so you can live close to the water, enjoy the long light, and settle into the rhythm of rural coastal life. There’s always plenty to learn and experience here, and we’re delighted to welcome helpers who enjoy great scenery, good purpose, and a peaceful place to land for a while. If the timing suits you, we’d be very happy to host you and if you already have some farm experience or any prior experience with ponies/horses we especially welcome you! We look forward to warmly welcoming you! *** Availability in March*** We welcome everybody howev...

**** Urgently seeking help from around the 18th / 19th April 2026 onwards, but also feel free to ask if you have any availability later in the future. Ideally, a MINIMUM COMMITMENT of at least one month is required please. It takes about 2 weeks to settle in and learn things plus shorter stays do not allow you to fully experience all that is on offer in our beautiful area. In the past we have many who regretted not being able to stay longer. This is the heart of the Scottish West Highlands. Katie and I own a small crofting home in a tiny village called Lochailort and we need help all year round. A good understanding of the English language is necessary. This location is not ideal for improving or learning English, as interaction with us and others can be limited. We are always looking for willing, reliable, pro-active, self motivated and enthusiastic volunteers :) Please whatsapp our mobile number or leave a message here if you are interested in a placement with us. We are particula...

Looking for a lovely volunteer to join us and our animals. AVAILABILITY FROM EARLY APRIL.. We are fully booked until then. Please contact us if you are interested in helping look after our wonderful animals. Experience with horses is useful but not necessary as long as you are happy to care for them. You will live as part of the family - during your stay, our home will be your home. We are a married couple living on a property with our DOGS, HORSES and some elderly but treasured chickens. Depending on the time of year, we also run a small scale rescue and rehabilitation centre for hedgehogs. There are stunning views looking out over a Devon Wildlife Nature Reserve and beautiful countryside. We live in a very attractive rural area of Devon on the outskirts of a beautiful old village called DOLTON (please look on "Google Earth") about a 45 minute drive from Dartmoor National Park. Travelers should choose my place because it offers a calm, friendly, and comfortable home in the Dublin Suburbs 10 minute train ride to City Centre. You’ll be surrounded by plants, nature, and good company 🌿. The tasks are light and relaxed. You’ll also learn practical gardening tips and horticultural knowledge in a cozy, welcoming environment. It’s an ideal place for volunteers who enjoy peaceful living, meaningful conversations, and a warm home atmosphere. I am a well organized and responsible person. I have a satirical and humorous view of the world. It is important that volunteers in my home don't take themselves too seriously. I’m an easygoing, friendly host who enjoys gardening and evening chats 😊. I value respect, honesty, and harmony in the house. Volunteers can expect to be treated kindly and fairly, with plenty of support and patience. I like keeping things informal and relaxed, and I always try to make sure everyone feels comfortable and at home. Trust is important to me...

We have a 1.4 hectare (4-acre) lifestyle block (mini-farm) close to the Hamilton city boundary. Our location is great for day trips to Raglan, Hamilton Gardens, and Hobbiton. For helpers without their own car, there is a bus stop about 15-minutes walk from our house, we might be available to help with a ride to the bus stop, and we drive into town a couple days as week as well. We have horses, goats, chickens, dogs, cats, a rabbit and a pet bird. We are establishing gardens, growing food, following permaculture and organic practices. There is always a wide variety of tasks to suit any helper/s, and the task timeframes are very flexible for weather and sightseeing. Outdoors there is usually some weeding to be done, other garden tasks, maintenance and improvements. Dream projects include building a small greenhouse out of recycled ranchsliders and building some small bridges over the drains. In winter, waterproof footwear is recommended. In summer months we need help with blueberry pick...

CALL FOR HELPERS Our place is located between Turku and Helsinki in the village of Karjalohja on a beautiful hill with a view over fields with crops and horses. Only with a 7 minutes walk you reach the shore of the clean protected Enäjärvi Lake, where we do fishing, rowing, sailing, swimming, picnic, or take tours to the islands. Big forests with berries and mushrooms also surround us. You reach the Turku-Helsinki express bus stop in 15 minutes with our biogas car. To reach the nearest small village with shop, library, spa, etc. takes 12 minutes by car and 35 minutes on bicycle. Now this place serves our circle of partners and friends and we hope that one day it can also serve a larger circle. Eventually, it can also become an artist residence and an experimental ground for artistic, ecologic and holistic lifestyle development. The project We are developing an old farm into an ecological self-sustainable unit. We are growing biodynamic food and exploring experiments in recycling a...

[Update posted 08/01/25] The Crossing announces a change, a seed planted four years ago. For the past four years, the land belongs, as is fair and good, to a Tribal University and Land Grant University located on the Rosebud Reservation, home of the Sicangu Oyate, in South Dakota. Our donation of the property was formally accepted by Sinte Gleska University during September of 2020. Since then, the seed has sprouted and pushed roots of beginnings down into the soil and the sprout and it's cotyledons have come out into the sun. Last August, with an amazing gathering here of a group of people from The University, inipis (sweat lodge, in Lakota) were poured and prayers sent up to Creator, and the transition from private ownership to the establishment of Sinte Gleska University's welcomed and growing presence is forever engaged – the first true leaf has opened to the sunlight. Helen and I will share more about the future of The Crossing and the direction by Sinte Gleska University when ...

It`s been over 10 years now that we are participating in programs like this. We never get tired of new people staying and having strangers turning into friends. Also our neighbors and others in the village enjoy the exchange. They are always up for a small talk, which is great for you to practice your German! About us: We have organic breed Wagyu Beef (the most expensive meat in the world). There are 3 Horses, a Pig, Chicken, Dogs and a bunch of Cats that are also part of the Farm. We also grow all sort of crops. Either to feed our animals or to sell them. We also grow apples, plums, pears, potatoes and many other things that grow in a garden. There is never a time during summer where u can not just go outside and eat something straight from where it grows.. Ruesselhausen is a small village. Just perfect to be in the nature. There are bikes for you to use so you can discover the surrounding nature. It would be good if you speak a little German because not all of us speak English. We...

Come try life on a small island in Denmark, beautiful Fejø (approx 450 residents), south of Sjælland (Zealand), north of Lolland. We are a family of 3, Mikkel (46), Ann-Mai (42), our 15 year old son Storm, the dog Kiwi, and the cat Mivs. Our garden includes a tiny wineyard, scattered apple trees, and other edible plants, herbs and bushes, a little vegetable area, a chicken coop and a few bee hives. From our home there is no more than 400 meters (1.300 feet) to the ocean (on 3 sides!). We are not an actual farm, but we still gather our own honey, brew mead, do some net fishing, eat our own chickens, make marmelade, press applejuice etc. We love to meet people from around the world, learning about other cultures - And we love to get some help with tidying up the garden, maybe some cleanup in the addict or help with regular house keeping and cooking, and every now and then some renovations on the house. So if you are interested in any of these areas, or just not afraid of trying someth...

Come experience life off-grid! I'm looking for keen folks to help me with my homestead. I grow pretty much all my own veggies and am getting into more and more seed saving and even a bit of veg breeding. I keep chickens for eggs, hunt the local sheep and sometimes raise livestock for meat. Work is varied and flexible, there's gardening, construction projects, firewood, fencing, canning & food preservation, etc. etc. I would also love to host someone with sewing skills who'd be keen to help with my large mountain of mending projects. I'm good at darning and can teach you how! Helping hours can be flexible and adjusted to your interests and abilities. I ask for 20hrs/week of worktrade not including your share of cooking/food prep & dishwashing. I am busy working away from home some days so seek helpers who are fairly independent and I encourage folks to get out in the community and make connections with other islanders. A large part of the island`s population is made up of aging...

We operate Muriwai surf school and adventure hire centre at Muriwai Beach. The deal is 2 hours work per da...

Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our doorstep, hiking trails through the mountains and forests, cycling paths, and skiing in the...

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON Need help.with a garden clean up.at the moment. You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town, which is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay. Two hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around. There is a mountain on my farm with lots of tracks to w...
