Purpose built oceanfront B&B with 3 private self-contained studio suites on the 2nd floor of our home which is on the first floor. We are rated highly on TripAdvisor. Enjoy canoeing, kayaking, biking & hiking at our waterfront B&B. You'll have your own private room. If you have a valid drivers license, and are staying for at least 2 months you may use one of our cars. This requires a discussion, and is on a case by case basis. April through October (Summer) Cleaning rooms. gardening, yard work, helping around the B&B with all aspects of running a home-based business including serving breakfast. Must be physically fit to do this. Crewing on our boat is optional if you like it - not everyone is comfortable being on the ocean. Here is what a typical summer day looks like. About 1/3 of our guests purchase breakfast. On those mornings 7:30 am we're in the kitchen preparing breakfast. 8:45 - 9:30 serving breakfast to guests and interacting with Q&A and booking a few excursions. On days w...

BY THE SEA IN A WALKER'S PARADISE. This is an opportunity to meet other international travellers, of all ages, in the café who enjoy nature, walking, cycling or are just interested in relaxing by sea. CAN YOU HELP I’m looking for help each month running a small café on the beautiful Sheep`s Head Peninsula in West Cork from the end of May. The cafe opens from the start of April to the end of September and we would love someone who has experience in serving, making food and using a coffee machine. If you have any experience in hospitality it would be an advantage, but not necessary. We will be needing help in the cafe some of the days, There are also jobs to be done like painting, tending to vegetables, feeding the chickens, and general maintenance when the café isn't busy or is closed. LOCATION Although this is a wild and rural area, there's plenty of culture on the peninsulas; pubs, restaurants, fishing, music and an array of festivals happening close by throughout the year. ...

Due to a health issue, we stopped hosting volunteers in 2024, and we are starting again this year. We are retired teachers. We inherited a large family property with several buildings and a large field. We are nature lovers and we decided to create a park (arboretum) and we take care of it. We also produce organic vegetables and fruits, but we do not make breedings. We are not vegetarians, but we are very careful about the quality of our supplies : we are members of an AMAP, "voisins de panier" to buy local organic food to complete our production. Paul is also involved in a workshop of wood and a blog on the internet. Pascaline is interested in writing. We both play music and we work together a lot in the park. The house is large and well appointed and the last few years we do hosting also couchsurfers and bewelcomers. We really appreciate getting to know all kinds of people. We offer a real exchange : we helped those who wanted to learn French according to our abilities... The hous...

Early retired gentleman with wonderful garden. I have many years experience with people staying in my home and enjoy their energy and both learning from them and sharing my life experience with them. I seek people with an good level of conversation English and A person who is fun loving with an open personality is preferred. I particularly admire artists, writers and musicians and am interested in learning about the Buddhist philosophy and any other world views that people may have. Currently have availability for a helper. I require assistance with keeping house tidy and maintaining garden. The duties are not demanding and just a few hours a week are required. The priority is to have some company and energy in my home.

Welcome to our home in South Galway, near the town of Gort. We are Nick and Marta, living a gentle and grounded life filled with wonder, music, and deep love for nature. After many years of homeschooling our two children, they are now grown and studying at university. So it's mostly the two of us now, along with our two beloved cats and the birds that bring joy to our days. We live close to a beautiful native oak forest and are deeply committed to caring for our land and supporting the restoration of native woodlands. We love welcoming people into our lives and creating space for meaningful exchange, laughter, and shared meals. Marta is a International Teacher and facilitator, and teacher who works from An Tionól, her small retreat centre. Nick teaches adult education in nearby Gort town. During the weekdays we’re usually out working, so we welcome volunteers who enjoy both company and independence. Our main need for help is in the gardens—from growing vegetables and herbs to seas...

Would you like to come and help us out? At the moment, we are welcoming helpers to apply to join our team from May 2025 onward. We are a cozy, charming and comfortable oceanfront Guest House, with 5 guest bedrooms, overlooking a scenic bay in our tiny community (300 residents) called Sandspit, or K'il Kun, on Haida Gwaii, a remote archipelago on the northern coast of BC. Helpers will have a private room, meals catered for, and communal dinners. Bikes are available for exploration of the surroundings, and we can sometimes take helpers out on local adventures (boating, fishing, camping, hiking, etc.) Work is usually general help for day to day operation of the Guesthouse during the summer Season, May to September (housekeeping, gardening, etc.), and general maintenance, gardening, construction etc. during the shoulder and off-season. We are looking for helpers from April 2025. Location: Inagawa-cho, Kawabe-gun, Hyogo Prefecture Duration: three days to two weeks Season: Avoid mid-July to mid-September as it is generally too hot; avoid mid-November to end-February as it is generally too cold. No air conditioning. Other months are pleasant season. We run an organic sharing farm in Inagawa-cho, Hyogo Prefecture. This spring, we purchased an old house in a nearby village. The house is located in a small "satoyama", surrounded by fields, bamboo groves, and mountains. Nearby is a quiet and peaceful village of traditional Japanese houses where you can enjoy a simple "satoyama" lifestyle, not a tourist attraction. Although it is a true satoyama village, it only takes an hour by train from Umeda station, the busiest station in the center of Osaka, to the nearest station, Nissei-chuo, which is about 15 minutes by car. The forest and old private houses we have purchased has been neglected for several years and is in a s...

Spring is arriving as we speak :) Wow, exploring right outside our backdoor along side the Campbell River on Vancouver Island, is a beautiful place to experience Vancouver Island`s great outdoors this fall :) Although we live on a one acre town lot, our back yard is situated on a cliff over looking an accessible beautiful heritage river, with a nature park setting of ferns, douglas firs, maples and alder trees. You can often see deer, raccoons, bears and the silver backs of salmon and Steelhead fish jumping in the ebb and flow of the river’s pools. We have trail access to the river below, where you can enjoy listening to the sing song of many birds, tubing down the river/swimming in the heat of the summer, and trying your hand at casting for Steelhead fish. As well, our neighborhood is the access point to many scenic nature hiking/ walking and biking trails. I need some help to renovate an old cottage (build in 1880): painting walls and ceilings; working with roof pans and mortar (from inside), help in the garden. Other families in my little village (100 persons) will ask also for help by you. I offer of course accomodation and food - but I am a lousy cook!!. Inside the house is still something like a construction site, so accomodation is a little bit primitiv.

The permaculture project and the Farm develop in the social, historical and urban fabric of the town of Modica (RG), mainly between the Fontana, Dente and Pennino districts. We actively collaborate with other projects in the province, from which we learn a lot. We live a sober, frugal, healthy life. We follow, in a somewhat radical way, the ethics of Permaculture and many of its principles. After a period of training in horticulture and spiritual reconnection in the Loire in a Sōtō Zen temple, a PDC at Il Filo di Paglia (Comiso) and two years of agricultural experiences of the most varied in south-eastern Sicily, we feel ready to open ourselves to volunteers , willing and passionate who want to live, share and exchange within in this vibrant and beautiful setting. The Mediterranean Sea is just 20 minutes by train (Sampieri train station). We've got a 17th century house for the project (Oct. 2022), quite abandoned for more than one year: Plenty of work has been already done, some mino...

We are looking for help us from the first or second week of July to mid-August. We are looking for a female native French speaker who is good with children. For this period, a good level of English is required. Not a requirement but it would be a plus if we could find someone who is a competent horse-rider. Tasks will include playing with our children while teaching them French, housework and helping with our English language holidays. Helpers will work for 6 hours per day 5 days a week in return for food and accommodation. We'd consider hosting two friends. 🐎 🐑 🐎 🐑 🐑 🐎 🐎 🐑 Our farm is in the north-west of Ireland, in County Sligo. As well as horses and sheep, we have two alpacas, a pig, a dog, and some chickens! During the summer months, we provide English language holidays for teenagers, so are very happy to help you with your English. 🐎 Accommodation will be provided in a mobile home on the farm. It can be cold in winter so may be unsuitable for someone who feels the co...

Volunteers are welcomed from 12 th of August 2024 My name is Lenou, I am 41 years old. I have a wonderful place in Kiew Muang in the mountain, surrounded by the forest and near two villages with ethnical minorities. It's Located in Xiengern District, Luang Prabang Province, only 32 km from the UNESCO World Heritage City of Luang Prabang on road to city of Vang Vieng and 13 km from Luang Prabang train station. Currently, this place includes a site that can welcome campers, a traditional bamboo hut for a 2-3 persons accommodation, a bamboo quiet place to chill and admire the view, an open kitchen with fire cooking and a toilet and shower. I would like to develop this place in an Eco-tourism orientation, meaning that I would like lovers of nature to come here, minimize environmental impacts and create links with local people, ethnical villages nearby. I have already sketches and ideas of the developments, including planting and digging a small pond (work in progress) to make the site...

We have super high speed (Starlink) Wi-Fi in the lodge. ------------------ From approximately the 6th of July, through the 26th of July: General help is needed, mostly in the kitchen, and housekeeping duties, (changing out the guest rooms) every morning.

The hous...

In the summer some tasks can be somewhat scheduled (cleaning on busy days) but otherwise, helpers are usually in charge of their own schedule. It is po...

The ocean photo was taken a couple of miles from my home and all other photos are of my house area or looking downwards at the r...
