Hello. My name is Manon, and I am 33 years old. I live with my husband and my 1-year-old son, in a French old house. We have already renovated a large part of the house over the past two years. Now we're getting back to it with renewed enthusiasm :) I'm studying interior design and learning about traditional methods that are both durable and eco-friendly, so we can feel as comfortable as possible in this building. Anyone who wants to join us on this adventure is more than welcome :) We usually put together groups of volunteers to create fun and dynamic teams :-)

Welcome! Our family owned and operated certified organic livestock farm in North Central British Columbia is excited to have you stay and become a part of everything we have going on. We’ve been operating since 2008, primarily raising Berkshire pigs, Dexter cattle, Katahdin sheep, laying hens, broiler chickens and of course bronze breasted turkeys for thanksgiving and Christmas. On top of that, we’re home to two Labrador retrievers (Ned and Nelly), 3 outdoor cats, 2 guard alpacas and a family of Muscovy ducks. In other words, you will never find yourself not in the company of animals! Aside from livestock, we have recently built a small farm store / café that cooks the meat raised on the farm. We also take pride in creating all recipes from scratch, from the sauces to the buns of the burgers. Currently only operating during the summer months, 3 days per week. It’s been a lot of work, but a great way to get more people out to the farm, eating good food and connecting with the community...

Nestled in the coastal range of Mendocino County, California (about 45 minutes Northwest of Ukiah) we are establishing a small farm and wildlife sanctuary. Based on principles of sustainability & permaculture our expanding ridge top garden and orchards consist of a variety of fruits, veggies, herbs and flowers. Aside from garden and orchard tasks additional projects may include gathering seaweed and other native wild foods, cooking, canning, fermenting foods, making herbal preparations, habitat restoration, brush and trail clearing, small scale green building and learning how to build and maintain an off-grid infrastructure and solar system. Please read all of our information before contacting us. We require a one month minimum stay. Our homestead is remote and therefore not for everyone. We prefer those who want to unplug and enjoy the serenity of a mountain forest. If you are open minded, physically fit, want to get your hands dirty and love to be outdoors you will love it her...

Namaste! Thank you for stopping by. :-) I hope you will join me on my journey for a month, 2 months, or long-term. I have a pair of picturesque, riverfront hobby farms, each with a large 4-bedroom house. I am transitioning the farms to more of a communal space. There are three acres of wild blueberries that I am currently converingt to organic production, six acres of pasture, and about eight acres of woods that provide more than enough firewood to heat both homes without having to clear-cut any areas. I have a small herd of alpacas and an even smaller flock of chickens, whom I allow to free range. We harvest a small portion of our food from the property, and my vision is to increase that slowly and steadily every year. For a long-term (and possibly lifetime) stay, I would particularly interested in these 3 individuals: 1. Someone to manage the livestock, including monthly shots for the alpacas 2. Someone to process and market the alpaca fibre 3. Someone to manage the little antiq...

Hello Potential Volunteers My name is Paul and it was my dream to change my lifestyle from being an office worker to becoming an alpaca farmer.... here we are 14 years later with 100 alpacas, each individually cherishes with names and unique personalities, plus an assortment of other animals all needing our love :) I have three children: Liam (21), Dylan (9) and Oscar (6), and our 100-acre farm is home to approx.100 alpacas, plus llamas, peacocks, hens, mini pigs, a cat named Sexy, and our farm dog Malta. This year we are expecting 20 'cria' (baby alpacas) and each one will need our help so they can thrive! We need to ensure they get colostrum (filled with antibodies and vital for good health) – have they fed from their mums within the first 24hrs? Are they then drinking enough milk from their mums every day? Are they gaining weight? The well-being of my animals is the most important thing on the farm. Do they have good food and enough water, and the best possible natural environme...

Hello travelers, my name is Abidine Al-Boudani. I live with my family in a small town called Tagounite in the southeast of Morocco. Our family only settled during the middle of the last century, originally we descend from nomads, but have made a home in the Daraa Valley now. In walking distance to our house we have an organic farm, a 50 year old heritage from when my grandfathers settled down here. The farm is a beautiful place for anyone - be it people coming by themselves, friends, couples, families, pets - to spend an enjoyable time, connecting with the nature of the desert. ~ACCOMODATION~ Volunteers with tents can pitch them in the garden. Some families who come with a motorhome, truck and vehicles have the option to park right next to it. Currently an insulated tent is being constructed next to the garden house, which is also in progress. This accommodation will offer a more quiet environment than the family house, but comes with no bathroom yet at this point. If people need ...

Hello, I live in the beautiful Charente region 16140, and am looking for help with all sorts of jobs, from feeding the donkeys and other animals to painting and helping in the garden 😊 I am slowly bringing this lovely old château back to life after being empty and abandoned for many years. In the past I've shared some wonderful times with helpers, many of whom remain friends and have visited several times. In return I offer a comfortable bedroom in the chateau with 3 meals a day, and cooked as much as possible with our fresh produce. I would like your help for 5 hours a day with weekends off. There is lots to explore like little villages and towns and the river. The coast is about an hour's drive away. Hi, we are Jane and Dave Do get in touch if you are travelling and looking for a place to use your skills in exchange for a home stay. We may need some help in the house and garden for a week or two during March and early April. After that we won't need anyone again until late summer UNLESS you are a couple or a family who would like to look after this large house and garden for us while we are away travelling for a few months? It's a small village so you'd get to know people and still have a good experience of rural English life even if we were not there to host you. If you'd like to talk about that, let us know but only, please, if you already have great references on this site. Do read to the end of this profile before applying, as it helps you to understand what it's like here. We live in a small village in rural Lincolnshire in the English East Midlands, where we keep bees, chickens and a lovely cat, and grow fruit and vegetables in our large garden. There are always lots...

We are a couple from Austria and we live since january 2014 in the middle of the Swedish nature together with around 25 Alaskan Huskies. Our farm is in the middle of now-where at the beginning of Swedish Lapland and you can expect a lot of nature, lakes, woods and a lot of wild animals like bears, lynx, moose, reindeers and many different kind of birds. You can help us with training and feeding the dogs, cleaning the kennels. In wintertime there is also help needed with snow shoveling. You should be able to speak English (B2) or German. You should also be able to work sometimes alone. There is plenty of spare time, to explore the nature and the surrounding. You should be at least 18 years old, a teamplayer, love to be outside, it is not necessary that you have knowledge about dogs or in special about sleddogs. You will get all the information from us. What we offer is accommodation in a cabin with bathroom and toilet. And you will get groceries which you can cook for yourself. Yo...

Hello, I Luvertin or family of Mombracco e’ a farm born in 2016 from zero, we renovated an old building and built the first stable for our goats with our own hands, with sacrifice and dedication we have recovered abandoned land and we are still doing it. Over the years we have participated in development projects and have built a new stable and a new wooden building, we have built the dairy to produce cheese. We are now producing and selling our products. We'd love to find some of the people who can help us on our journey. We need to start over with a family garden, raising chickens for self-consumption. We need to expand spaces for the family that has grown up and for guests. Claudio is’ really skilled new manual labor and can't wait to pair him with a handsome man to teach him and build something beautiful! Our e’ family of Claudio and Jessica with 6 children aged 14, 12, 10, 8, 5 and 0! We live in a fabulous area of the COTTIAN Alps! Monviso in the Po Valley, on the Mombracco....

Hello kind stranger! Our names are Claire and Michiel, we're a young Franco-Belgian family living on an old farmstead near the coast of Wissant, North of France. For 8 years now we are bringing the old farmhouses back to life, while also bringing up our two daughters: Fleur (5 yo) and Perle (3 yo). We've been hosts since 2021 and we love the life that a group of volunteers brings to our place. Making you discover French culture, nature and the sea helps us to enjoy it even more ourselves. Teaching French and picking up on your languages widens our world view and helps our kids to be future globetrotters - like you! The different nationalities we're welcoming make us feel like travelling the world while staying at home. Every day we're hosting, it widens our horizon and gives us love, laughter and friendship. So far we've made an old stable into our home, we've renovated a 'longère' (long farmbuilding) into a woodworker's workshop, our workshop and office space, we've landscaped the c...

Hello, I live in the beautiful Charente region 16140, and am looking for help with all sorts of jobs, from feeding the donkeys and other animals to painting and helping in the garden 😊 I am slowly bringing this lovely old château back to life after being empty and abandoned for many years. I enjoy growing my own organic vegetables and looking after my animals. I recently planted an orchard and have lots of other projects I'd love your help with. The Charente river is at the bottom of the garden and there are some lovely walks right outside the door, there are also b...
