We are a couple with grown up Children who sometimes live here too. We live on 120 acres deep in the jarrah forest, very quiet and peaceful. We have market garden as well as run cattle and lots of pets.. goats, horses, ducks, chickens, dogs, cats.. the list goes on. We welcome people to share our farm life and participate in daily work... help required is varied and depends on your skills: but is mostly outdoors gardening, picking rhubarb, weeding, helping with general farm maintenance etc. ..There are plenty of opportunities to walk in the forest, swim or maybe work out in our home gym .....Stay is for a week initially and we are happy to negotiate longer stays if we all get along. In fact we really like longer stays.....Accom is in a self contained cabin near the house, with all food supplied and sharing some meals with the family, in return for working each morning with us..

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON Not much work to do here now, so I mostly only take 1 person at a time. Not the place just to get a free room.for a while, but also not the place if you get bored easily You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town, which is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay. Two hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Rang...

Update 18 Jan 2026: We need an enthusiastic wood worker to finish building a wooden deck with me. Starting asap. We have a separate little tiny house on wheels with access to a fully equipped kitchen for Helpers' accommodation in Kerikeri/Bay of Islands. It’s very cosy to live in. We need help with maintenance of our property (house & garden). This includes gardening, tree-trimming, clean-up, some painting, and a project for a garden pathway incl. a wooden staircase. Are you interested to be part of our projects? Good command of English or German required. Fishing from our pedal boat, kayaking, swimming and hiking are great as off-work activities here. In 2016 we have moved up north to Kerikeri to a 2+ acres life-style block. Since then we have built a large veggie garden (to enrich our carnivorous diet) and a chicken coop, a tiny house on wheels, a farmers garden and a solar power system. Maintenance and landscaping projects are always waiting for help. We are a couple, have cats ...

Sorry, no vacancy right now. Currently full. Later on we shall require help with DIY repairs and maintenance, timber work, upgrading a dinghy to fit a roof and remote steering, repairs to trailer and for help with early morning gardening, housekeeing, cooking and dog walking on the beach. Regarding the DIY and timber work, our next vacancy is likely to be in March when it is cooler. From then on, we shall be looking for reasonably good DIY handymen and women, with some experience in working with wood, capable of working effectively, when necessary, on your own or as a pair and, ideally, someone who also has some gardening experience, but that is not really necessary, learn on the job! 😉👍. So you need to be a "morning person" who is happy to start work at 07.00 hr, at least five mornings a week, not a night-owl. This is to avoid the heat of the afternoons at this time of year, mornings are beautiful. Much of the work, in addition to the above, from March on, will be outside; ...

Hi. I would like some help with the overgrown garden and with some cleaning of the exterior of my house. The work might involve ladders and work to deal with branches and loads of vegetation. I have hosted lots of Helpxers in the past and really enjoyed meeting new people. Perhaps you are tired of travelling and need time to settle for a while. Perhaps you are looking for farm work. The Atherton Tablelands is a region that employs hundreds of farm workers. You could orietate yourself to the area while you are here. If you are willing and available, I would love to hear from you. I would also appreciate someone who is responsible around the house, cleaning etc. I have a little dog, Opal. She is very loving and affectionate. She has a way of winning everyone's heart. She loves company, cuddles, walks and play. She is not a puppy any longer and so is happy to sleep a lot as well. Oh, et en plus, Elle est francophone. My family is bilingual, English/French. I was an Engli...

We have an automotive country workshop where we fix and service cars, 4WDs, trailers, tractors and all sorts of machinery. In our spare time we look after our little farm, some sheep, some cattle and rabbits. We also have a forest where we work and tidy up occasionally. So we are always in need of a couple of helpful hands to support us. We love to get to know different cultures and people. We grow our own meat, fruit and vegetables. Gustav also brews his own beer and makes wine and cider and lately also green tea. A mature, non-smoking, self-organized person, preferable not a vegetarian, to give us a hand with house and land, would fit best into our lifestyle. You will have to join into our daily routines: breakfast is at around 7am and then we feed all the animals, especially the hungry dogs and work starts at 8am. We need to get everyone organized before customers arrive in the workshop. We expect about 4 hours work per day and we offer a nice room with a lovely warm bed, gr...

I grow pretty much all my own veggies and am getting into more and more seed saving and even a bit of veg breeding. I keep chickens for eggs, hunt the local sheep and sometimes raise livestock for meat. Work is varied and flexible, there's gardening, construction projects, firewood, fencing, canning & food preservation, etc. etc. I would also love to host someone with sewing skills who'd be keen to help with my large mountain of mending projects. I'm good at darning and can teach you how! Helping hours can be flexible and adjusted to your interests and abilities. I ask for 20hrs/week of worktrade not including your share of cooking/food prep & dishwashing. I am busy working away from home some days so seek helpers who are fairly independent and I encourage folks to get out in the community and make connections with other islanders. A large part of the island`s population is made up of aging...

We are Sunny from China and Jeff from New York and we live in a small town in Oklahoma called Olustee of about 500 people. Nearby is a city called Altus of 19,000 people with stores, bars, restaurants and entertainment. You are invited to our place, either just to visit or to stay and help out. We have 4 bedrooms for travelers and helpers in our guest house available for you (can accommodate probably up to 10 people) and there is also a game room, swimming pool (in the summer) and basketball court on the property. We also have campgrounds with a fire pit and tents. We would like help with cleaning of guest rooms, cooking, painting of walls and murals, some light construction work (very simple, you don't need to know anything), fixing bicycles for the neighborhood kids as well as maintaining the pool (in the summer). We have been doing this for about 15 years now and had guests from all over the world stay with us. We can show you around this part of Oklahoma and you are welcome to expl...

Hello travelers, my name is Abidine Al-Boudani. I live with my family in a small town called Tagounite in the southeast of Morocco. Our family only settled during the middle of the last century, originally we descend from nomads, but have made a home in the Daraa Valley now. In walking distance to our house we have an organic farm, a 50 year old heritage from when my grandfathers settled down here. The farm is a beautiful place for anyone - be it people coming by themselves, friends, couples, families, pets - to spend an enjoyable time, connecting with the nature of the desert. ~ACCOMODATION~ Volunteers with tents can pitch them in the garden. Some families who come with a motorhome, truck and vehicles have the option to park right next to it. Currently an insulated tent is being constructed next to the garden house, which is also in progress. This accommodation will offer a more quiet environment than the family house, but comes with no bathroom yet at this point. If people need ...

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to routburn and greenstone tracks.you will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. ,a bit isolated, not for the precious,no trophy hunters !! .please don`t apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only.we do not get involved with internships or visa applications.vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers ! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar ( badly ) and sing ( worse ) ,but it's all about smile not style :-) Cheers Al

Hi, my name is Auduh. Me and my family are Bedouins who live in the Wadi Rum desert in Jordan. We have been working with tourists for years. We offer overnight stays in our traditional camp or cave and we take our guests on 4x4 Jeep tours, camel rides and hiking/climbing tours.. We have learned to speak English through working with the tourists from a young age. We love our simple life in the desert, work hard during the day and relax around the campfire at night. We offer you a free stay in my home in Wadi Rum village and will provide breakfast, lunch and dinner. You will really experience the traditional way of living in and around the desert. We will teach you traditional dance, some arabic words and show you around in the desert. You will meet the locals people, and learn about our culture, customs, and traditions. I also enjoy learning different languages and would be happy to help in teaching volunteers Arabic and other aspects of Bedouin life. I am looking for volunteers to h...

This is ideal for people who would enjoy the social and cultural buzz of the city within easy walking distance, while also being close to two charming harbour beaches and some great walks. It’s a good arrangement for you if you value your own private space whenever you want it, but also enjoy a stimulating environment. Our comfortable inner city 117year old Victorian villa is a two minute walk to Ponsonby Road. Accommodation is self-contained, and our HelpXers have invariably found it to be an ideal arrangement (see guest room photos). You have your own separate entrance, private garden balcony, generous double bed, kitchenette with microwave, hot plate, toaster and small fridge, dining table/desk, laundry machine and ensuite bathroom/toilet. Free wi-fi (within reason!) Because we’re on an unusually wide section for a city house, we've developed the outdoor space into various "rooms", including a viewing platform in one of our higher trees (ideal for reading or dreaming on a dr...

Hello travellers, We are currently looking for helpers anytime after March 9th for about a week. Work would involve raking leaves and moving soil on to garden beds and hauling branches out of our forest as we begin to fire proof the property. My friend Fiona and I bought a beautiful property together and often need help! Our property is 2.5 acres in the heart of farmland. We are walking distance to the big and beautiful Seal Bay Park, and close to town and amenities. Our new and amazing HelpX accommodation is a stunning fully contained two bedroom yurt! It comes with full stocked kitchen, full bathroom, two queen beds, washer/dryer, Wood stove, BBQ, covered deck and patio. It is close to the main house but completely private with a forest in between. We will supply all the food, you make your own breakfasts and lunches while we will make dinner and enjoy sharing that meal with you. We are unfortunately not on a bus route and there are no shops within walking distance but we are alway...

I live between a yacht on Sydney Harbour and a house in a tall eucalyptus forest on the mid north coast of NSW, and need some assistance in working on the house and on another yacht. I'm a carpenter who worked with National Parks and Wildlife for 25 years before retiring, and live with a small dog Billy. I've had many helpers come stay over the last few years and have been lucky to have so many interesting travellers stay. My yacht, is currently on the hard at Whoota, where we are renovating her while helping with work on her. I often take helpers out sailing to see the magnificent Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House but this is not possible while she is being worked on. Yet, I hope to invite helpers out when she is back in the water. The house is located in Whoota, near Forster. It is surrounded by forest and located a 10 minute drive from pristine beaches, lakes, and bushwalks. There a lots of dolphins to see and beautiful areas to explore. The work we are doing on the house ...

We are a friendly household with a teen, a large and loud but friendly dog, 1 chicken and a small spray-free veggie garden. Our place is located adjacent to and overlooking beautiful NZ bush as well as stunning views over Wellington harbour. We split our time between our house in Lower Hutt and our bach on the Kapiti Coast about 45min North of Wellington. There is an easy train connection to Wellington from there. We are bi-lingual English/German with some rudimentary French. We have had people from Singapore, Germany, Canada, Sweden, Australia, Japan, Martinique, Italy, France, Tahiti, Malaysia, Peru, Korea, Taiwan, China, Czech Republic, Argentina, UK, Austria, USA and Catalonia stay with us and always had great fun. We require 4 hrs work from you every day, doing a variety of jobs around the house, the section (garden) and help with the animals. Work involves general housekeeping, help around the house, looking after the chickens, weeding, possibly some fencing and other gardenin...

My husband, Tony, and I are very happy to offer self-contained accommodation for short stays of one or two weeks for a couple or two friends (any genders) who would like to explore the beautiful Yarra Valley or who are in between jobs (Often longer stays are possible depending on whether we have family coming to stay and using the studio.) Our property, Lavender Farm, is about 6 kilometers from the small tourist town of Healesville in the Yarra Valley. The Yarra Valley is wine-growing region at the foot of the Great Dividing Ranges. It is about 1 hour by car from Melbourne. We have a lemon orchard, vegetable garden, horse paddocks and some bush. We are not a commericial lavender farm although we have a lot of lavender growing in the gardens. There are some rescue horses (not rideable) and a pony , chickens, family dogs and a swimming pool. Our daughters are grown up and living in Melbourne so we normally just see them on the weekend and when we look afer our grandchildren on...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. Please note, we cannot host anyone with any pre existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions). We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our doorstep, hiking trails through the mountains and forests, cycling paths, and skiing in the...

We (Riley, Serene and Bood) enjoy living in harmony with nature and each other. This place is a beautiful property high in the hills above Cairns, that borders World Heritage rain forest wilderness on three sides, and enjoys breathtaking views over the Atherton tableland. There are permanent creeks, waterfalls, rock pools (for swimming) and a very pleasant climate, without the high humidity that the coast can experience (in summer). That said, it can get very wet in summer and early autumn; our wet season. Abundant wildlife including tree kangaroos, possums, platypus, cassowary and hundreds of other bird species. The property practices holistic management, organics and permaculture principles. Work is mostly gardening, in the orchard and household duties. Most happy to utilise your unique skills and gifts, where possible. We like to take turns cooking meals, encourage food literacy (from garden to plate), and greater awareness of self-sufficiency. Accommodation for one or two h...

This is an off-grid homestay with an established biodynamic garden of around 30 years. The lifestyle here is slow and close to earth, jobs and activities vary according to season and weather. Work here includes general gardening, firewood, fixing jobs or help in the kitchen. I'm asking for about four hours work per day in exchange for accommodation and organic meals (vegetarian). You have a private sleepout in a cute cabin in the garden which has a futon but requires you to bring your own bedding (sheet/sleeping bag). The cabin has no electricity, I suggest bringing a headtorch as well. The property is close to beaches and waterfalls; the Great Ocean Walk and Apollo Bay (25km). I have bikes available on request but your own transport is almost essential, since public buses operate on only two days a week. A pick up from Apollo Bay can be arranged though. If you would like to come and stay please contact me via phone (0490798522) since I don't use the computer very often. Two days into ...

I would be very happy to welcome volunteer teachers who are willing to help at my school for two or three months, or even for a full semester. *I want the volunteers who work at my school to not feel like they are working. Instead, I want them to feel that they are enjoying themselves and having a holiday while staying with us. Come experience life off-grid! I'm looking for keen folks to help me with my homestead.

This is an off-grid homestay with an established biodynamic garden of around 30 years. The lifestyle here is slow and close to earth, jobs and activities vary according to season and weather.
