We welcome volunteers in our countryside home in Sicily where they can be part of a community of travellers and make a difference in the lives of the dogs in our care - by helping to clean their enclosures, give them food and water, take them on walks, and provide as much individualized attention as possible. Our NGO, with the help of a passionate community of volunteers, strives to cure and find loving homes for the many strays in our area. Activities: We ask for help in taking care of the dogs in our shelter - clean their enclosures, give them food and water, take them on walks, and play and cuddle with them. We might also need help with general maintenance on the property and enclosures at times and with general housekeeping activities. The occasional general maintenance would include tasks such as mending fences and maintaining dog enclosures. We might also ask for help with yard work. Picking up branches, clearing brush and debris, etc. We welcome any talent you may have to offer...

Hello kind stranger! Our names are Claire and Michiel, we're a young Franco-Belgian family living on an old farmstead near the coast of Wissant, North of France. For 8 years now we are bringing the old farmhouses back to life, while also bringing up our two daughters: Fleur (5 yo) and Perle (3 yo). We've been hosts since 2021 and we love the life that a group of volunteers brings to our place. Making you discover French culture, nature and the sea helps us to enjoy it even more ourselves. Teaching French and picking up on your languages widens our world view and helps our kids to be future globetrotters - like you! The different nationalities we're welcoming make us feel like travelling the world while staying at home. Every day we're hosting, it widens our horizon and gives us love, laughter and friendship. So far we've made an old stable into our home, we've renovated a 'longère' (long farmbuilding) into a woodworker's workshop, our workshop and office space, we've landscaped the c...

Hey you. So, I just got myself a little patch of forest in the south of Sweden. A small, slightly worn, but nevertheless very real cottage hidden about 1 km from the nearest human. I’m trying to build something like an off-grid, permaculture-ish, semi-chaotic, freedom-loving life experiment. Think less “perfect homestead” and more “figure it out as we go.” There’s always stuff happening (or needing to happen): – starting and expanding a vegetable garden – fixing and slowly restoring the old house – experimenting with water systems – chopping wood like it’s a lifestyle – random building, painting, fixing, improvising – probably failing at things and trying again If you like learning by doing, getting your hands dirty, and not knowing exactly how the day will unfold, you’ll fit right in. The “deal” is roughly 4 hours of help per day for food and a place to crash. But honestly, I’m not super rigid about it. If you’re more independent, want to cook your own food, work more/less, or just...

Looking for a lovely volunteer to join us and our animals. AVAILABILITY FROM the end of June as we are fully booked until then. Please contact us if you are interested in helping look after our wonderful animals. Experience with horses is useful but not necessary as long as you are happy to care for them. You will live as part of the family - during your stay, our home will be your home. We are a married couple living on a property with our DOGS, HORSES and some elderly but treasured chickens. Depending on the time of year, we also run a small scale rescue and rehabilitation centre for hedgehogs. There are stunning views looking out over a Devon Wildlife Nature Reserve and beautiful countryside. We live in a very attractive rural area of Devon on the outskirts of a beautiful old village called DOLTON (please look on "Google Earth") about a 45 minute drive from Dartmoor National Park. The village has a very friendly and active community, a church, 2 excellent traditional pubs, a pos...

The bus runs at the bottom of the hill every 20 mins, but the schedule is best checked on the app. Just $2 .50 with a orbus card. The room is small, with two bunk beds, a desk, with wi fi, and chrome cast tv. Our position is for all areas of house keeping staff. Previous experience is preferred. A month is best for us, and longer if it works well. We are not looking for help at this stage till later in June. As we are now closed for one month. So from 8 am to 1 pm, in exchange for breakfast lunch and evening meal. You have a small room with desk, chrome cast screen, a set of bunks. I cannot cater for dietary needs sorry. And This is sole charge position. So a good level of fitness and be able to self direct are important.

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. PLEASE NOTE WELL: we absolutely cannot host anyone with any pre-existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions), such as hay fever, any other allergies, sensitivities or intolerances. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our do...

We grow organic table grapes, a few fruit trees, chickens and a few pigs. This is a real farm experience, mostly working in the vineyard, with some fun too. There is biking to town, swimming in the ocean or our lake, fishing, basketball, volleyball, hiking, nature walks, beach strolling and look for fossils at Blue Beach, camp fires , rope swing in our little lake, take in the fantastic views, sunsets, star gazing, internet, phone and go to nearby towns such as Wolfville and Hantsport as well as the rest of the Annapolis Valley with the local bus. The accommodations and kitchen are separate for helpers cooking with an abundance of food. This is a more independent farm stay. Hope you can make it here.

We would love to host someone in the next couple of weeks who is happy to help with outside painting, looking after the vegetable garden and keeping the house yard tidy. If you like the idea you can also take the four miniature donkeys out for walks regularly. The donkeys have a job to do helping to take people for walks around our farm and it is good to keep them fit for that. They have their own fb page, search for donkey walking and you will find them. Having your own transport would allow you to be able to get to town as you need - we're located 30 mins drive from Whanganui in a rural setting, 800 hectares hill country beef and sheep farm. Mobile phone reception is available but mobile date would be needed for the internet. Non smokers preferred. A minimum of 4 hours work would be expected but we tend to work on a job-to-be-completed basis and if it is hot we work 7 - 11 am. We'd love to hear from you if this sounds like what you would be interested in.

2 Small farms turned into the one near the West Coast of Clare. We keep lots of farm animals like cattle, horses, donkeys and sheep. We produce a wide range of vegetables for ourselves and some for selling. We have two children, went to primary Steiner/ Waldorf school; Frank (25) and Fina(21) and they love having volunteers around the place. Fina is doing equine studies and Frank studies horticulture and loves travelling. We hope you have the ability to adapt to our for most of you different and simple life-style and enjoy farmwork with irregular hours at times, and you will get a true sense of farming life-style! It is important to realise beforehand that you are a volunteer who gets the opportunity to join into our family home/life so please do not compare with a regular paid job.. Most important is that you are happy and enjoy your stay with us... We offer healthy food, wonderful sunsets and rainbows, some Irish traditional music, and the possibility to learn more about old style f...

You will like it here! We need help in our garden in June and first half of July. We are a little unconventional community of 4 persons (66,65,71,74), 1 friendly dog and 2 playful cats and we live in a cosy house surrounded by a garden. Our children are on their own, but they sometimes visit us. We raise our own organic vegetables in several raised beds and normal garden beds. There is always something to do in the garden and around the house or walking the dog, cleaning windows and so on... We live in a small rural village in the beautiful hills of the "Odenwald". Our village is located roughly between Heidelberg and Frankfurt, also Mannheim and Darmstadt can be visited easily. There is a good public transportation to all these cities. The Odenwald is a famous hiking region and ideal for mountain biking, a bike is available. There is a climbing rock not far from our house. We speak English quite fluently and some French. There are several medieval towns and castles around with beau...

CALL FOR HELPERS Our place is located between Turku and Helsinki in the village of Karjalohja on a beautiful hill with a view over fields with crops and horses. Only with a 7 minutes walk you reach the shore of the clean protected Enäjärvi Lake, where we do fishing, rowing, sailing, swimming, picnic, or take tours to the islands. Big forests with berries and mushrooms also surround us. You reach the Turku-Helsinki express bus stop in 15 minutes with our biogas car. We farm sheep and beef in the heart of the Catlins, in Tawanui at the start of the popular Catlins river walk. The farm consists of sheep, cattle, four rideable horses and some coloured pet Gotland sheep along with an array of wild deer roaming the hill. Help will consist of some stock work, some fencing, maintenance of all sorts, gardening, firewood and general helping around the house. Always having fun and a good laugh as we work. I don't travel so its nice to meet people from all walks of life and learn about there culture. If you are keen for some work, and want to meet some locals and enjoy the breath taking Catlins, please get in contact.

We live in beautiful Moray, near thriving Forres. We grow our own veg without chemicals and try to live a low-impact lifestyle by recycling and reusing second-hand materials, practicing wildlife friendly gardening, with lots of learning on the job. We have a small caravan with electric hook up and kitchen in a peaceful rural setting. In return, we would like two hours of help a day on our wee homestead. Tasks could be general gardening tasks like weeding, watering, planting, mowing, painting etc. We have veggie beds, fruit trees and bushes, and some small wild areas. There are always more skilled tasks like fencing, carpentry etc available for experienced people, and there would often be a choice of tasks to get on with. Basically I need more helping hands to keep developing the garden, which was very overgrown when we moved in two years ago and I think it’s a lovely Scottish, countryside opportunity to come and stay with us. We are a relaxed and friendly family and live near beache...

In order to learn your daily task, routine and horses personalities, we will ask you to stay a minimum of 3 weeks. Long stays are really welcome. Your role on the farm would be helping with the daily care of our racehorses. It's an everyday job starting depending of the sun (4.30am in summer and later on winter time). We start each morning training the horses, washing them and feeding them. All the retired horses need to be feed and watered as well. We need to feed and water all the horses again each night before dark. The ideal helpers will be positive, willing and with a some decent english. This is an exciting opportunity to have an experience that will stay with you throughout your life. Our Foundation aims at helping rural children receive a qualitative outstanding education. We have a volunteer teaching program to assist rural teachers and children get exposure to foreign languages and cultures. Because English is the second language in Thai schools, we concentrate on improving the English language skills of both rural teachers and children. At present, we aim to help 4 public elementary schools (grades 1 - 6) close to Chiang Mai. We are currently taking applications for volunteers who would available to start sometime between now and the end of June and commit to at least 8 weeks . We are looking for volunteers to teach English only. Couples are welcome as well. NOTE: We do not charge volunteers any fees for staying with us. The generous gift of your time and dedication is all the donation we will ask of you. We provide the volunteers lodging and meals in retu...

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) Cheers Al

Currently looking for volunteers to work with us up to the start of July. Then we are looking for long term paid volunteers to run the place from July • Considering a change of lifestyle? • Are you interested in experiencing life in a rural Bulgarian village? • Do you want to try running a small eco-campsite using permaculture principles? • Are you an animal lover? • Maybe you are a digital nomad couple or family looking to settle somewhere for a few months? We are Sara and John, two sixty something UK escapees! For the past ten years we have run a successful eco campsite in the far southwest of Bulgaria. We also seem to have become a bit of an animal rescue centre currently with 4 dogs and 8 cats. We are looking for sociable and enthusiastic couples, friends or families to run the campsite and look after our animals while we are away. You will need to speak English to a reasonable level and be able to complete a range of tasks including cleaning, gardening and general maintenance. Y...

Boy, we were so lucky to land this property and we may call this our home.......but it needs some TLC! So during the fires of 2017 basically everything was destroyed. Only the cork oak trees were resistant enough. We have beautiful old cork oaks on the property and one is crowned as the Kind Tree. It is a massive cork oak leaning into the valley. We built a yoga platform around it and the platform leans over the valley. The energy is magical. But that is just one thing and we are talking about a massive farm with 38H of land.......So we aim for the farm to be a stand alone in terms of water and power plus we also want to honor the virgin water springs and keep chemicals and plastics out. We have our own septic tanks and reuse the waist for regrowing the forest. The meadows are being reinstated and the houses (8 in total) will be rebuilt. In the meantime we do also enjoy what the property offers. Long hikes, a swim in our own lake, discovery of yet another beautiful ruin and how about ...

Travelers should choose my place because it offers a calm, friendly, and comfortable home in the Dublin Suburbs 10 minute train ride to City Centre. You’ll be surrounded by plants, nature, and good company 🌿. The tasks are light and relaxed. You’ll also learn practical gardening tips and horticultural knowledge in a cozy, welcoming environment. It’s an ideal place for volunteers who enjoy peaceful living, meaningful conversations, and a warm home atmosphere. I am a well organized and responsible person. I’m an easy-going, friendly host who enjoys gardening and evening chats 😊. I value respect, honesty, and a relaxed environment. Volunteers can expect to be treated kindly and fairly, with plenty of support and patience. House also has a permanent tenant, Gloria from Italy (early 30's) who has been here over a year. The help is quite easy and low-stress. I’m happy to share my horticultural knowledge, including tips and tricks for getting the best performance from different plants 🌱. T...

We are a working farm and holiday park above Monkstone beach and within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. There is a small young team here full time. We are looking for one or two people to help on the farm and park. You will be required to do a variety of jobs including working with the team, helping with farm work especially lambing, helping with feeding animals, gardening, cleaning and D.I.Y. Overall you need to be enthusiastic, motivated and use your initiative. We will provide everything so you will be happy and can enjoy your time here. Its a great place!!! Visiting Pembrokeshire and in particular staying here would suit people who enjoy the outdoors, nature, hiking, water sports etc. There is so much to do in the surrounding area.

We are a family of 5 living in the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia. Sue is the founder of Peaceful Hollow. Her daughter Ruth moved to the Hollow later as well as her husband Tim and their 2 daughters. Our hollow is quite with no neighbors in sight. There are no city lights, and you can see every star on a clear night! Our homestead consists of Sue's workshop/cabin, Tim & Ruth's cabin and one very small guest cabin. Also, there is a private guestroom with private entrance on the second floor above the workshop/cabin combination. . We have a lot you can be involved in, knowledge to share, friendships to build, and opportunities for growth. Below are our routines and some projects. We would love to involve you! - Caring for our honey bees, chickens,...

To reach the nearest small village with shop, library, spa, etc. takes 12 minutes by car and 35 minutes on bicycle. Now this place serves our circle of partners and friends and we hope that one day it can also serve a larger circle. Eventually, it can also become an artist residence and an experimental ground for artistic, ecologic and holistic lifestyle development.

The closest train station is Beenleigh. Your own car is a plus. We welcome working holiday visa holders with good horse experience and most importantly a passion for horses !!

*** no availability for June Island Farm has extensive views over the beautiful Whitsunday Islands. 10 minutes from Airlie Beach. Fruit and vegetable garden and pond. Big pool overlooking view just 2 steps from queen size guest bedroom. Need help in the garden and around the house. Also on the boat and at my art studio in town sometimes. I was a woofer host for 20 years on my organic farm and loved having travelers stay. Now my daughter has left home her gorgeous room is free and love to have you stay. Island Farm is a very beautiful and peaceful place. It’s not a party house. Singles only please. I can offer a 3 day stay for starters and see how we go. 😊🌺 Work at the moment is gardening , cleaning and helping look after my rescue dog Jack when I go sailing. ❤️

*** update may 2026 *** NEW : I moved to the center of France. I am building a new project: one global project with donkeys. There is a lot of activities to offer on the site: clearing brush, decluttering, gardening, animal care, DIY, construction, art, music lessons, english lessons etc. And I need help to manage a small camping ... Welcome to my little paradise ! I don't eat animals, raw food basically. So, I prefer the helper cook his own meal (I buy your food, of course). You can stay in a tent, near a pond and with the donkeys. There is two sites in my project : the house which is a reception house for activities and with all services etc. and the pond's site which is at 20 mn on foot from the house, with basics services. The shower is outdoor and compost toilet. In spring and summer we stay on in the pond's site (named l'Ermitage). Contact me if you want to participate in the development of a beautiful project in the heart of nature, with animals. There is a ot of work, but y...

Hello, The Walipini is ready and great, thanks to the two helpers. They have left again and I hope to find some people who can help with the heavy things which need to be done(I am 69 and lift the blade so high is to heavy for me , for drilling the holes for the standing poles I simply haven't enough force). If someone can give me a hand that would be lovely.Like cutting the hedges, replacing some fences, building two terrace with beautiful Buxus wood and some wood cutting from fallen trees. You are welcome to come to help I like to share my beautiful place where you can have big walks or visit the markets in the villages around me (I like to cook good healthy meals, also vegetarian if wanted). There is place (also near the river) for camping or camping-cars. Thanks Aletta Dear all, I'm looking for people who are willing and able to help build a Walipini greenhouse at my new home on a south-facing slope. I'm also looking for reliable people to look after my house and pets from Janua...
