We live on a semi rural farming property of 52ha overlooking the Waitemata harbour with views of Waiheke, Rangitoto and the Skytower, 30 mins south east of Auckland City. We are two minutes from the beach and there are several walks and cycling tracks nearby. We mainly farm sheep and also keep bees. You would be living as part of our family and are welcome to join in with any social events and activities, in particular fishing and boating. We have 3 adult children, and three grandchildren as well as three dogs and a cat. As a family we all enjoy meeting people from different cultures and forging connections with them and now have lifetime friends around the world. You can help us with gardening, landscaping, painting, building bee apiaries, planting natives (Autumn) and general housework and maintenance. It would be for a maximum of 4 hours a day which will leave plenty of time to explore the local area.

The farm is a diverse mix of organically produced vegetables, hemp and pasture raised animals. It is located in an area that is rich with local farms, breweries and food producers. The farm is located on the upper Lamiolle river and just 4 miles from beautiful Caspian Lake and Barr Hill Nature Perserve. Greensboro is the home of Jasper Hill Cellars, Hill Farmstead Brewery, Cirkus Simrkus, the Highland Center for the Arts and a whole lot more. We are 9 miles from Hardwick, dubbed the epicenter of the local food movement.

We are a couple with grown up Children who sometimes live here too. We live on 120 acres deep in the jarrah forest, very quiet and peaceful. We have market garden as well as run cattle and lots of pets.. goats, horses, ducks, chickens, dogs, cats.. the list goes on. We welcome people to share our farm life and participate in daily work... help required is varied and depends on your skills: but is mostly outdoors gardening, picking rhubarb, weeding, helping with general farm maintenance etc. ..There are plenty of opportunities to walk in the forest, swim or maybe work out in our home gym .....Stay is for a week initially and we are happy to negotiate longer stays if we all get along. In fact we really like longer stays.....Accom is in a self contained caravan near the house, with all food supplied and sharing some meals with the family, in return for working each morning with us..
