(Note for U4U applicants -- we cannot sponsor any refugees from Ukraine at this time, but we are happy to host you if someone else can sponsor you.) ~Our Place~ We live on a beautiful piece of land in rural Texas, full of lush green hills, towering pines, oak savannahs, and wild animals, about 1 hour's drive from Austin. Our goal is to build a community out here, starting from our extended family and friend group and beyond. We've traveled the world volunteering, hitchhiking, Couchsurfing, playing music in bands, farming, building, protesting, yogaing, truck-driving, teaching... all kinds of things. Now, we're trying to restore this piece of land to a more balanced state and to build a home, a farm, an apiary, a studio... We want this to be a place that fosters creativity, closeness to nature, silence, loudness, peace, chaos, etc.! And we've hosted volunteers from Colombia, Iran, Canada, China, Mexico, Iraq, USA, Korea, Spain, Bulgaria, Brazil, Denmark, Zimbabwe, Japan, France, Germ...

***Sorry - no more visitors for this year until February*** We have an automotive country workshop where we fix and service cars, 4WDs, trailers, tractors and all sorts of machinery. In our spare time we look after our little farm, some sheep, some cattle and rabbits. We also have a forest where we work and tidy up occasionally. So we are always in need of a couple of helpful hands to support us. We love to get to know different cultures and people. We grow our own meat, fruit and vegetables. Gustav also brews his own beer and makes wine and cider and lately also green tea. A mature, non-smoking, self-organized person, preferable not a vegetarian, to give us a hand with house and land, would fit best into our lifestyle. You will have to join into our daily routines: breakfast is at around 7am and then we feed all the animals, especially the hungry dogs and work starts at 8am. We need to get everyone organized before customers arrive in the workshop. We expect about 4 hours wor...

Looking for assistance from late March and through summer 26. We moved north from Vancouver to escape the noise and the craziness and to find a spot to live in beauty. We found one and now are on the edge of nothing but more nothing all 400 km to the Pacific. We are 20 km outside of a small town halfway between nowhere and not much. Sharing that is a pleasure. Nearly everything we do now is in support of one thrill: adventures in food. But rural living out here in mid-nowhere means that there are endless other things to be tasked as well: construction, gardening, maintenance of many sorts, enhancing the natural beauty around us. Chances are that if you could describe a pure-fun, physical job, there would be something here I could offer that might satisfy those urges. If you want to work hard, eat marvelous meals and have a fabulous time in the gardens, the workshop and the kitchen, come join us and get a relaxing feel of rural life. PLUS, for all you thrill seekers/amateurs des sensa...

We live in a nature sanctuary on Corfu island in Greece. we are a COMMUNITY of PLANTS, ANIMALS AND HUMAN BEINGS, who try to live together IN THE SPIRIT OF NATURE. we are organized similar to a zen monastery. yet we are not affiliated to any religious body, but to the holy body of our mother earth. the earth takes care of us. the earth gives to us what we need. she gives us and she for-gives us – she never asks for money… we admire the communities in nature (ecosystems), where all members balance their needs and gifts in a healthy way, without money, without machines and without chemicals. here in NATURE’S SANCTUARY we try to live in harmony with nature. we try to support and protect all our nature brothers and sisters, who share this sanctuary with us… it is a CHALLENGE TO LIVE IN HARMONY WITH NATURE. it is a challenge to protect and support all nature beings in a way, that they have the chance to live in their own natural born communities. we are looking for people, who want to take...

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town, which is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay. Namaste! Thank you for stopping by. :-) I hope you will join me on my journey for a month, 2 months, or long-term. I have a pair of picturesque, riverfront hobby farms, each with a large 4-bedroom house. I am transitioning the farms to more of a communal space. There are three acres of wild blueberries that I am currently converingt to organic production, six acres of pasture, and about eight acres of woods that provide more than enough firewood to heat both homes without having to clear-cut any areas. I have a small herd of alpacas and an even smaller flock of chickens, whom I allow to free range. We harvest a small portion of our food from the property, and my vision is to increase that slowly and steadily every year. For a long-term (and possibly lifetime) stay, I would particularly interested in these 3 individuals: 1. Someone to manage the livestock, including monthly shots for the alpacas 2. Someone to process and market the alpaca fibre 3. Someone to manage the little antiq...

Permaculture project with idea and space to create an eco-village. The quinta is located in Alto Alentejo 2km from Portalegre. 15 hectares with magical forests and a beautiful valley provided by seventeen sources and several mines with healthy water where too people live permanently for the moment,Isabel, a communication manager and Michel, a carpenter who is the founder of the project. There is also one dog, five cats, for chickens and six sheep. The project is now in the phase when it’s open so that more people can live here. Because parts of the ruins are ready for occupancy, there is space for people who want to stay longer, which can bring new and stronger dynamics throughout the year, not like before, when there was only a lot going on in the summer months. So far there is already a beautiful gardens going on and numerous species of plants, shrubs and trees which deliver us plenty of food. Le quotidien est partagé avec la famille, les repas sont communautaires. Chacun y ajoute sa touche personnelle. La maison se situe directement sur la ferme. Vous pouvez v...

Our organic mountain farm (800 m above sea level) 50 km south of Grenoble is located in the Vercors Regional Park in the Alps. Our main activity is horse breeding on 150 ha and 300 ha of mountain pastures. The Trieves plateau is sought after for its wide open spaces and unspoiled tranquility. We raise Mérens (a hardy mountain breed: Mérens ), ponies, and a few donkeys. In the summer, we visit our two mountain pastures located between 1,300 m and 2,200 m above sea level, both for the pleasure of hiking and to keep an eye on the main herd of horses, in addition to haying, harvesting, and caring for the animals that remain on the farm. We have set up a wolf protection system for our twenty or so sheep. We have four protective dogs (Patous) that are cuddly and not aggressive. With 100 horses to feed, cuddle, and break in for outdoor riding, riders are welcome to participate in our activities at their own pace and manage their own “work” time. And, of course, experienced riders are al...

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

Hello Potential Volunteers My name is Paul and it was my dream to change my lifestyle from being an office worker to becoming an alpaca farmer.... here we are 14 years later with 100 alpacas, each individually cherishes with names and unique personalities, plus an assortment of other animals all needing our love :) I have three children: Liam (21), Dylan (9) and Oscar (6), and our 100-acre farm is home to approx.100 alpacas, plus llamas, peacocks, hens, mini pigs, a cat named Sexy, and our farm dog Malta. This year we are expecting 20 'cria' (baby alpacas) and each one will need our help so they can thrive! We need to ensure they get colostrum (filled with antibodies and vital for good health) – have they fed from their mums within the first 24hrs? Are they then drinking enough milk from their mums every day? Are they gaining weight? The well-being of my animals is the most important thing on the farm. Do they have good food and enough water, and the best possible natural environme...

I've spent almost a decade of my life traveling, always exploring in different ways. It started with vanlife, then shifted to adventuring in a SUV through more rural places. Now, I'm continuing the journey with a classic kombi and a full set of camping gear, embracing a slower pace and a deeper connection with the road and the places I visit. Currently, I'm exploring the countryside of Hungary—but my plans, and even the countries I'm traveling through, tend to change quickly. Feel free to send me a message if you'd like to know where I am at the moment! I bought a small holiday residence in the South of Hungary which I am currently renovating. Especially need help in September and October 2025! Option 2: Join me on the road and enjoy the perks of traveling with someone who knows the ins and outs of roadlife. You'll also meet my two well-trained dogs—perfect companions to embrace nature with and make the journey even more rewarding. timeline: July / August: Germany, attempting sma...

Welcome to our home in Sweden. We are a couple from Germany who has lived in Sweden for nearly fourteen years. We live on the countryside with our two lovely dogs, a cat and horses. We have a big garden with appletrees, vegetables, berries and so on. We always have some projects, such as building a chicken coop or our little applecider factory. We love to meet young people from all over the world to learn from their history and their culture. Here in our home you will be a part of our little family, we work together, we live together and we lough together. Please feel free to ask if you like to know more about us. If you have some knowledge in fysiotherapy och massage, it would be fantastic. I have some problems with stiff muscles and would like to learn more about how to become a little more relaxed

A nice honest person is good enough. Two hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around.
