We are a small Vietnamese family living between the city and our countryside farm in Northern Vietnam. Our parents live on the farm and take care of the garden and daily farm work. We enjoy a simple life, close to nature, and we like sharing our culture and daily life with volunteers from different countries. Our dream is to grow food for our family, live more naturally, and create a friendly cultural exchange environment, especially for children. Volunteers help with light and varied tasks, such as: Gardening and simple farm work Helping with daily activities around the house Playing, talking, and sharing English with children Sharing meals and family time No special skills are required. Hi, my name is Mary. I live on the border of NSW and Victoria, a town called Albury. There is a train service to Albury from Sydney about 9 hours and Melbourne about 5 hours train trip. I am happy to pick someone from the Albury railway station. Albury is a pretty town on the Hume Highway. It is inland on the Murray River and there are a lot of local attractions, vineyards, historical small towns, snow fields and many more, only a few hours drive. I am located in town, with the railway station and the airport not too far, about 15minutes drive. I am fully vaccinated and require the same of a helper. I am an aquatic ecologist who has fortunately been working out of our coastal rain-forest property for 35 years. Driven by strong curiosity, I have recently been developing long-term data sets on the animal life in the forest that surrounds our home, plus on tropical marine fish that are steadily increasing in numbers under the influence of climate change at the nearby very beautiful Seal Rocks area (for details click on my website link below).
