Situated on the edge of the Great Divide, we are surrounded by great views, Kangaroos, Wombats, Echidna and numerous bird species including wedge tail eagles, Rosella's and Kookaburras. Just an hour from Melbourne [less from the airport] we can arrange pick up. Our farm has Highland Cattle, Chooks and a large Vegie garden/orchard. While we have no urgent work requirements and the farm is only our hobby [we are semi retired ] there is always something to do, however we have no paid employment available. We have a spare room with double bed or we can accommodate 2 x singles as well. The nearest public transport is 15 minute drive and we can drop people of most days as we go past the station nearly every day. Our current projects are house painting, wood cutting and gardening.

We are a family living in a lovely 4 bedroom home in the Adelaide Hills, on a 4.5 acre property. Stirling is 8 minutes drive away. We have a brand new self-contained guest house available. There are plenty of routine gardening and maintenance jobs that need doing! We have a netted orchard, several vegetable and garden beds, and some native bushland with plenty of birds and the occasional koala. We have a friendly 5 year old Kelpie who loves company; 13 chickens and 3 sheep. We're looking for enthusiastic people who like gardening for 1-2 week stints. Happy to negotiate with accommodation +/- food. WI-FI available in the main house, mobile phone coverage throughout the property. Own car is essential.

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to routburn and greenstone tracks.you will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. ,a bit isolated, not for the precious,no trophy hunters,no bum, guts or shoulder shooters.please don`t apply unless you intend to come.minimum stay two weeks, one person only.we do not get involved with internships or visa applications.vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. as I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers ! Our 5 acre property is located on the beautiful south coast of WA, between Denmark and Albany. Only a few minutes drive to the beautiful Cosy Corner Beach and Shelly Beach. We like to show our helpers around the wonderful area in which we live and If time permits we often take them on a 4WD adventure to the magnificent West Cape Howe National Park, which is on our doorstep. We are both practicing artists Helen works from her home studio and Duncan is a sculptor who works from his home studio/shed and also on location when creating public art, he is also a stonemason and historic restoration mason. We have 2 young Jack Russell x Cavalier dogs, Pablo and Frida (siblings) ,who love people and are lots of fun. We require some help around our property such as gardening, mowing and whippersnipping as well as some housework. Our helpers stay in a very comfortable room in our home with a Queen sized bed (we also have another guest room with 2 single beds is that is more appropriate.) They...

In addition to everything else, I would love someone who knows how to use Light Room, Photoshop, or similar. It would be a big plus if you know how to set up a website so we can sell our photos. Not after much, am I. Have a look at my Instagram profile to see some of our photographs. Alan_Hinton_Photography Hey good people, we would love 1 or 2 people to come and give us a hand. We are Alan and Lydia, a middle-aged couple being as self-sufficient as we can be. Solar power, rainwater, organic gardens, chickens, quail, 8 bee hives, 1 adult dog and a puppy. It's time to start getting things done. Like gardening, building more chicken pens, harvesting honey, some fencing (not much) hanging a couple of gates and just general everyday things that keep it all ticking over. We don't have any close neighbors, the closest is 1 km away, so it is quiet and peaceful, and we are in the middle of the Central Queensland Gemfields about 50km West of Emerald, Qld. Our place is halfway between Sapphi...

One thing I can advise helpers who want to get a placement with any host is to have at least one PICTURE of YOURSELF. Just as you like to "see" who and where you are coming, hosts like to see who they are opening their home to. The weather is warming up now so there is lots to do outside in the yard. I'm not planting a vegetable garden this year so I'd like to clean up the area, fencing, painting etc. Knowledge of Carpentry and Plumbing are always appreciated. Car mechanics are always helpful. I would really appreciate someone who can do handyman jobs and wants to come for a week or two. I sell things online and on eBay and would love someone who is good at writing descriptions in English. I have a large house and property in a diverse area of Staten Island, New York that I`m always working on. I plant a vegetable garden in the spring using the square foot gardening method. A friend and I rebuilt the whole house on the inside including jacking it up and replacing the foundation,...

We have hosted since 2013. We are building our dream house and need help with some parts on and off all year. We are happy to take helpers all year round. We are a busy family of 5 living in a small house 45 minutes from Yass, 1.5 hours from Canberra and 4.5 hours from Sydney. We are looking for a dynamic, self motivated couple or 2 friends to come and help our family. Because we are so busy we really are only looking for people who have lots of initiative and who can work independently. Your own car or driving licence is NOT essential, but will make your time with us easier, as we are quite isolated. If you don't have a vehicle we can pick you up from Yass train station or bus stop. Local attractions include caving, 4WD, swimming, fishing and bushwalking in Wee Jasper, Yass (45 minutes), Canberra (1.5 hours and the capital city of Australia) and Goulburn (1.75 hours) We would like you to become part of our family whilst you are here. That would involve being kind and patient with ...

AMAZON VOLUNTEER The Amazon rainforest is the largest tropical forest in the world. We, the Amazon’s people and Indigenous nationalities, have been fighting for decades for our land, for biodiversity, for a decent quality of life, for the welfare of our children, for good education and health etc. For more than 50 years we have been threatened by large mining companies, oil companies, lumber companies etc. We’re engaged in a battle of resistance for our ancestral lands to prevent logging and uncontrolled pollution on our land, which must be protected. We are looking for volunteers – kind-hearted people, who love nature, conservation and the ecosystem – who are interested in helping, learning and venturing into an experience that will undoubtedly change their way of seeing the world. We want to protect the Amazon rainforest, the most biodiverse place on the planet. The volunteer work is varied and can be designed to suit your particular interests and skills; no previous experience is...

PLEASE READ MY PROFILE THOROUGHLY BEFORE SENDING ME A REQUEST! I am an animal behaviorist & I rescue animals, rehab them & release (or re-home) them. Generally, all animals in my home are rescued & traumatized & I do hope the guest(s) be real genuine animal lover & has lots of patience as a simple mistake will traumatize the animals all over again... :-( Tasks include daily normal chores at home & related to animals. Occasionally, there will be some projects to do for the safety of the animals. Hence, total working hours can be unpredictable. Also, there will be stray pups/dogs to look after which were located at different locations In return, you will be taught on how to handle the animals & learn their behaviors via their body language, cultural exchange, cooking, and accommodation. As for meals, they will not be provided but I wouldn't mind treating you to a meal, or two, or three (:-)) if I m cooking. You are allowed to do the cooking at my home as long as it is kept clean (I...

A room is available for your homestay. Because of the helps I would like to ask, those who have enough experience/knowledge of handling house holding chores and cooking are welcome. No problem if you cannot cook Japanese dishes. Vegetarian is welcome only from summer to autumn. It's easy to talk about next step of your homestay if how long from when, how you can help, what you want to do during homestay in addition to help works are written in your request. I'm a 66 years old male and have a small private organic vegetable garden. I am happy if someone can help me to maintain vegetable garden and household chores including cooking. I also can enjoy helping my guest to learn Japanese language. We can visit at sightseeing places/aesthetic landscape when we have free time. At the same time, I'm interested to hear your stories about helpx and learn foreign languages as well as yoga and massage. My house has natural hot spring so that you are free to enjoy onsen together as well a...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. We grow organic table grapes, a few fruit trees, chickens and a few pigs. This is a real farm experience, mostly working in the vineyard, with some fun too. There is biking to town, swimming in the ocean or our lake, fishing, basketball, volleyball, hiking, nature walks, beach strolling and look for fossils at Blue Beach, camp fires , rope swing in our little lake, take in the fantastic views, sunsets, star gazing, internet, phone and go to nearby towns such as Wolfville and Hantsport as well as the rest of the Annapolis Valley with the local bus. The accommodations and kitchen are separate for helpers cooking with an abundance of food. This is a more independent farm stay. Hope you can make it here.

I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

We need two people travelling together who want to visit us for about a week from mid February or mid-March.. We are a busy and active couple in our early 70s needing some help on our medium-sized suburban land on the north-east fringe of Melbourne. Our need is for two people travelling together who have some experience and practical skills to work on small projects - eg outside painting of railings and re-coating our decking. Other projects include general weeding, mulching, and rabbit-proofing in our garden. The work will require the use of the usual power tools that you find in many houses. We need people who are comfortable working without supervision, after some initial instructions. The arrangement is to work for about 4 hours a day but we can be flexible with how this happens. In exchange, we will provide food (self-serve breakfast & lunch), evening meals most nights, or food of your choice to cook if we are not home. You will have your own comfortable room and separate ...

Only a three hundred meter farm walk away is the famous Miranda Holiday park with it’s many mineral hot pools, and cafe. Miranda is a unique unspoilt playground with abundant tourist opportunities and is renowned for its Godwit bird migration. We are located just 45 minutes from Auckland Airport and 20 minutes from the Coromandel Peninsula on your way to the Coromandel. We have 100m2 of vegetable garden and many other gardens around the property. Lots of animals and pet birds and life is very relaxed for us. We have some gardening, cleaning and building type work if you are interested. We would be happy to host you from any Sunday through to Friday if you are available. Normally we would ask five hours work a day however we are happy with four hours work and help with making the evening meals and the kitchen cleaned up after meals. We will provide a friendly environment, nice meals and good conversations, a comfy bed and fast wifi. We ask that you do 4 hours work on the day you arrive...

Currently looking for a few help x that will be happy to work together for food and accomodation paid for in a beautiful off grid setting just 2hrs from Sydney. Looking for friends or groups that can help us finish some woven stick fencing, yoga shala, gardening general farm maintenance. We are a multi generational family who live in Sydney and have purchased 125acre bush block in Tallong. The property itself is stunning with beautiful bush, creek, waterfall, views over the escarpment and much more to offer. The cabin itself is off grid. Tank water, Solar fridge, hot water heated over fire, tank water. Very little phone reception on property. Own car recommended but train station 20 minutes away. But we can also transport from Sydney no problems. This would suit couple, friends, single, or family looking for a balance of time in nature while exchanging some work. We expect 3-4hrs per day in exchange for food, accomodation and experiences but since we are so close to the cit...

We are celebrating OUR 25th Anniversary (1999) and OUR Ecovillage's team is looking towards a creative and fun season of committed volunteers who wish to work within a collective project opportunity. We are working on the next 25yr Vision and with this are building a very large public art installation project (earthen/cob Dragon sculpture with lots of mosaic work!). Folks love to be with the land, work in transformational personal journeys as we weave ourselves into the Collective, work with research teams on soil/wastewater/energy systems design/etc, and permaculture education projects with learners from local to global! This means we are working with: the gardens, livestock/poultry, food forests, natural building (earthen, strawbale, plaster projects, finishing work, carpentry, etc), food preservation, yummy kitchen crafting for shared meals, mosaic work, supporting Eco-tourism & farm guests onsite....and so much more! Creating a mutually supportive 'attitude of gratitude' is wh...

We are living since June 2011 on our farm in the most western part of Germany. The dutch border is only a few 100 meters away. The next dutch city is Sittard (3km). The next bigger German city is Aachen (35km). We are a family of five. Our son Noah is born in August 2010, our second son Mika in August 2012 and Jonah our third son is born May 2020. Alwin is working full-time in the IT business and Stephanie is the boss of our house/family/farm (She is working 2 days a week as movement therapist). We have a big garden with a lot of vegetables and a orchard directly at our house. (We are not full-time farmers but we try to grow as much fruit and vegetables as possible for our own and our family) We also own a piece of forest. We need help for the work in the garden or orchard or around the house (depending on the time of the year). Also a helping hand in the house is needed (babysitting or cleaning). Sometimes some woodwork in the forest has to be done or other renewing activities (e.g...

If you are deciding to head off and explore the outside world in 2025 then it could be good to start with us! We are needing help round about then anytime from January 1st. We are surrounded by the sea, lakes & mountains as we farm in sync with nature and the seasons. If you are looking for a genuine quality real-life outdoor island farm experience then you are in luck! We have an opening for the right person ideally someone who is honest and reliable, positive and upbeat, genuinely interested in what we do and in being helpful, and with a good degree of maturity and cop-on with an appreciation of opportunities and experiences in life. We are busy on the sheep farm and would welcome a helper willing to help out with the day to day activities. We have mountain sheep living outdoors in the unspoilt nature filled landscapes and along the shores. We regularly herd them in with our sheepdogs for example to check their health. The lambing season on our farm is late April May and sometimes ...

I have a beautiful home on the ridge in Elanora on the Gold Coast, South East Queensland, Australia. It is in a Koala sanctuary, surrounded by bush and wildlife. Often you will see wallabies grazing in the back yard, and if you are patient, also koala’s in the trees. You definitely will hear them in the evenings even if you do not see them! There are plenty of bush walks around my house for you to explore the native wildlife. In my opinion (and many helpers that I have hosted) my offer is a great opportunity to live in a very special part of the Gold Coast. The property is set in bushland but is only five (5) minutes drive to Currumbin Beach and close to other beaches and Shopping Centres. The Pines Shopping Centre is the closest to my home and provides all that you would need. I have found most helpx people are not into large shopping centres and prefer beaches and wilderness which my property has in spades. Couples, singles or friends are welcome just let me know if you are...

ABSOLUTELY,No smoking or vaping on the property at all. No exceptions. I HAVE RECENTLY HAD PEOPLE WHO HAVE NOT FOLLOWED THIS GUIDELINE. I prefer to breathe clean air. NO SMELLY, PERFUMED SHAMPOO, CONDITIONER, BODYWASH SUNSCREENS OR DEODORANTS PLEASE, I CAN SUPPLY ALTERNATIVES. How about heading south to the most beautiful part of Australia? Or if you are already in Tasmania, that's a bonus. We are always welcoming and love to show off our stunning island home. Work would involve getting the garden ready for planting this Spring and other various farm jobs. Nothing too hard or difficult. I'd like some help clearing and establishing some walking tracks through the forest on the property. I prefer people with experience in gardening and farm work. Looking for someone from now, through the next few weeks. When you first contact me [or any other host] it is very helpful to tell us what date you would like to arrive and leave. It helps us to co- ordinate things so as many people as p...

Hello, we are Marie and Perrine. HelpX is new for us, we are embarking on the adventure of sharing knowledge, and above all in discovering volunteer people from all over the world for a multicultural journey to the heart of the Auvergne volcanoes, at home!

Please note, we cannot host anyone with any pre existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions). We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our doorstep, hiking trails through the mountains and forests, cycling paths, and skiing in the...

I live in an old farm and farmhouse in Normandy. I have converted a cottage into a holiday cottage with 4 bedrooms (all en suite) and one barn into another. I'm Thanasis, a 55 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site.

We are Helene and Sylke, and we live with our three children by the beautiful Lake Constance. Our home is an old villa that is over 100 years old. We call it Villa Werde, and it is just a five-minute walk from the lakeshore. We have been living and working here for a year, renovating our house in the process. We are now looking for support with the following tasks: - Sanding and painting old windows - Painting walls - Laying flooring - Various small carpentry and woodworking tasks - Installing lamps Therefore, it is important for us that you bring craft skills and enjoy hands-on work. We offer a great accommodation opportunity in our apartment, which we also rent out to holiday guests. Here you have access to a kitchen and bathroom, as well as your own retreat space. We are really looking forward to getting to know you, spending time together, and showing you our wonderful surroundings! You can discover plenty of nature and culture here in Lindau, starting right from the front door...

In a region of a hundred valleys, to the north of Combrailles, a few steps from the Puys chain and its Puy de Dôme, come and meet us in our colorful building, an old farmhouse to be renovated before opening a group gîte. This unique place with a 280° view of the Servant hillsides and the north of the Puys chain is located a stone's throw from the village and its amenities, around ten minutes from shops (supermarkets and others). Surrounded by fields, pastures and walking paths, we like to welcome you in peace, in the company of our children and our animals. We cultivate our vegetable plot, the sheep help us cut the grass :) Our caravan (2/3 beds + fridge + electric hotplates for independent breakfast) in the shade of 2 large century...

We are american, from San Francisco and New Orleans, living in France for over 20 years. We have an old farm property in the Loire Valley, 10 minutes from Chinon, with a main house and two renovated barns. The larger barn is a vacation rental, and the smaller barn is mixed use, rental or friends, helpers, etc. We need help with some small projects, with landscaping, and in the vegetable garden. We have a large veggie garden, many fruit and nut trees as well. CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR HELP WITH DIY PROJECTS AND ON THE GROUNDS AND IN THE VEGETABLE GARDEN. Before the season starts there is much work to be done cleaning up, pruning, and planting the vegetable garden. In mid-summer, there`s weeding and landscaping to keep up with, when the smaller barn is not otherwise occupied. We also have small DIY projects like painting. In fall we need help cleaning up the garden and getting ready for the winter months. We can help with your english language skills if you are looking to improve,...
