i have been on couchsurfing network for years hosting many people.. and i think this HelpX network is a great idea. Actually i kinda prefer it now. I am flexible with my time (especially during the week days) and love to hang out and make new friends.. In the summer I travel around Victoria and Australia a lot, going on road trips with friends and many music festivals -camping in the bush etc.. I am into music (composing/playing); Alternative health / medicine ; Electronics / Engineering / technology ; Anything weird wacky unusual unexplained strange secret, and business combining most of the above, ;) .. The world is full of amazing things and possibilities and Life can never be dull for the seeker with an open mind. I am very passionate about hidden truths and wisdom and always keen to learn and share (if called for) I do not drink or smoke and i prefer vegetarian food but still i m pretty flexible.. During the warmer months me and my crew travel to various outdoor music festiva...

"If everybody makes a difference, the world will be different" - Owen Geiger... Our project is located outside a little village in the northeast of Thailand. Well off the beaten track of tourism we offer an opportunity for everybody to join in a fascinating project where we combine vipassana meditation, yoga, natural building and ecological gardening (especially permaculture) to a system of personal growth and care for nature. We want to show that the path inside and sustainable living can be very lively, joyful and fun. We rock the garden! Our project is deeply rooted in the Thai community, so you can experience an authentic insight into Thai culture and really be part of it. Our teacher is the Abbot of a Monastery in the nearest city and as such, living mindfully and observing the Buddha`s teaching is very much at the heart of this project. We have a deep connection with the village monastery and the Buddhist community and enjoy sharing in ceremonies and festivals together. Each ...

I am an aquatic ecologist who has fortunately been working out of our coastal rain-forest property for 35 years. Driven by strong curiosity, I have recently been developing long-term data sets on the animal life in the forest that surrounds our home, plus on tropical marine fish that are steadily increasing in numbers under the influence of climate change at the nearby very beautiful Seal Rocks area (for details click on my website link below). We have 20 acres with 2 acres cleared and the remainder moist tall forest and rainforest. It is on the coast 3 hrs drive north of Sydney (1.5km from Smiths Lake; 30km south of Forster) See my blog link below to glimpse the accommodation, typical work and fun. We have a 180 squ m vegetable garden at times needing attention which has been enclosed to keep out our friends the wallabies (pademelons), possums, parrots and native bush turkeys. Bush regeneration is another activity as well as assisting in ecological surveys of local rivers when t...

We are a couple from Austria and we live since january 2014 in the middle of the Swedish nature together with around 25 Alaskan Huskies. Our farm is in the middle of now-where at the beginning of Swedish Lapland and you can expect a lot of nature, lakes, woods and a lot of wild animals like bears, lynx, moose, reindeers and many different kind of birds. You can help us with training and feeding the dogs, cleaning the kennels. In wintertime there is also help needed with snow shoveling. You should be able to speak English (B2) or German. You should also be able to work sometimes alone. There is plenty of spare time, to explore the nature and the surrounding. You should be at least 18 years old, a teamplayer, love to be outside, it is not necessary that you have knowledge about dogs or in special about sleddogs. You will get all the information from us. What we offer is accommodation in a cabin with bathroom and toilet. And you will get groceries which you can cook for yourself. Yo...

Hello Potential Volunteers My name is Paul and it was my dream to change my lifestyle from being an office worker to becoming an alpaca farmer.... here we are 14 years later with 100 alpacas, each individually cherishes with names and unique personalities, plus an assortment of other animals all needing our love :) I have three children: Liam (21), Dylan (9) and Oscar (6), and our 100-acre farm is home to approx.100 alpacas, plus llamas, peacocks, hens, mini pigs, a cat named Sexy, and our farm dog Malta. This year we are expecting 20 'cria' (baby alpacas) and each one will need our help so they can thrive! We need to ensure they get colostrum (filled with antibodies and vital for good health) – have they fed from their mums within the first 24hrs? Are they then drinking enough milk from their mums every day? Are they gaining weight? The well-being of my animals is the most important thing on the farm. Do they have good food and enough water, and the best possible natural environme...

We hope you can join us. Currently looking for keen and energetic people who can join us in making our piece of Paradise even better while you have a memorable lifetime experience that will enrich your life. We love sharing who we are and what we have to inspire others to thrive on the land while working with and amongst nature. We have two rooms exclusively for HelpX guests; one room with a double bed, the other with a bunk bed. You have your own bathroom and toilet. We also have our delightful Avan; a compact caravan that has a double bed and a single bed for those who want to live more out amongst nature. Hello travelers, my name is Abidine Al-Boudani. I live with my family in a small town called Tagounite in the southeast of Morocco. Our family only settled during the middle of the last century, originally we descend from nomads, but have made a home in the Daraa Valley now. In walking distance to our house we have an organic farm, a 50 year old heritage from when my grandfathers settled down here. The farm is a beautiful place for anyone - be it people coming by themselves, friends, couples, families, pets - to spend an enjoyable time, connecting with the nature of the desert. ~ACCOMODATION~ Volunteers with tents can pitch them in the garden. Some families who come with a motorhome, truck and vehicles have the option to park right next to it. Currently an insulated tent is being constructed next to the garden house, which is also in progress. This accommodation will offer a more quiet environment than the family house, but comes with no bathroom yet at this point. If people ...

To begin with, I prefer NON SMOKERS. I need someone from MARCH 15 2025 onwards for a period of not less than 3 weeks possibly. I wrote this in English but I am afraid the French automatic translation is very bad. Sorry, this is Helpx's fault...Being a teacher, this is very upsetting to me. I am a former English teacher and I live in a small medieval town in a historical house with an organic garden; I have 5 apartments in my house rented out to students or young workers. I also need help with my computer now and then... I expect the helper to work 4 hours a day . I would prefer a helper who has some skills in gardening, sewing and/or cooking. I have unlimited and fast wifi. My former holiday rental is free for you to stay now with your own bathroom. Ideally, I am looking for someone who can work on her/his own, I am very busy with renting out my apartments. Someone who can cook, clean the house, take care of the garden, without me telling him/her what to do. There is a ...

I can't see the world, but the world can come see me. First and foremost, I want to thank all the helpers who came from United Kingdom-England, France, Belgium, Italy, China, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. Welcome Helpers. Also, there is an private guestroom with private entrance on the second floor above the workshop/cabin combination. . A room is available for your homestay. Because of the help I would like to ask, mature ladies who have enough experience/knowledge of handling house holding chores and cooking are welcome. No problem if you cannot cook Japanese dishes. Vegetarian is welcome only from summer to autumn. It's easy to talk about next step of your homestay if how long from when, how you can help, what you want to do during homestay in addition to help works are written in your request. I will reply to only applicants who read my profile and understand/satisfy requirements. I'm a 67 years old male living alone and have a small private organic vegetable garden. I am happy if someone can help me to maintain vegetable garden and household chores including cooking. I also can enjoy helping my guest to learn Japanese language. We can visit at sightseeing places/aesthetic landscape when we have free time. At the same time, I'm interested to hear your stories about helpx and learn foreign languages as well ...

I'm a Londoner by heart who moved to Spain 20 years ago. In the UK I provided arts educational events for children with learning difficulties. I have two dogs and two cats and we live between two properties, one in the town of Aracena and a villa twenty-five minutes walk away in the beautiful countryside. My long-term plan is to create a unique children's learning environment/garden. In exchange for a flexible 5 hours of help a day, 5 days a week, you'll have your own room, wifi, meals, and laundry. Things I need help with : GARDENING : maybe some strimming, creating a magical path / treasure trail for the children, some chainsaw work and some help with fencing so that the dogs don't escape. BUILDING : if you have building skills or are a qualified carpenter, that would be great as I have a few things that need work on around the houses. MOSAIC WORK: if you have a creative flair and interest in making a magical space with tiles and mirrors, I will be starting a couple of piece...

Hi Everybody and thank you for your interest! WE HAVE SPACE AT THE MOMENT AND YOU COULD STAY WITH US DURING WONDERFUL WINTER! Are you proactive (meaning you see if something has to be done, and not waiting until we bring the plates and serve the food)? Are you willing to live between dogs and horses? You get no panic attacks when you get dirty? Can you stand a child that has its own mind? Do you know how to use a brush, a broom, a sponge, a dish washer, and some other useful tools... Are you open minded enough to live in a surrounding that does not have a routine, so e.g. having dinner in the late afternoon or not knowing what will be tomorrow? You do not need a new introduction into to-do`s every day as you can memorize them? If all answered "yes", continue! Or are you waiting to be served, and permanently, also during meals or sitting on a horse, looking at your mobile? Locking yourself in your room until invited for Lunch? Like to live in your room for 4 weeks without asking for a...

I have a property on the edge of Havelock North in Hawkes Bay.I need help in the gardens and around the property..Helpers have their own very comfortable and self contained accommodation .They are welcome to use the swimming pool and tennis court. The work is varied and not too strenuous. In the past some of my helpers have done their chores while also working in paid employment and I am flexible to manage these situations. My helpers all seem to love the food we eat- I’m a hunter gatherer and we eat lots of food like fish and home grown vegetables.. Couples are welcome. The property is within walking distance of the Havelock North village. Bikes are available for use. Havelock North is a vibrant town in one of New Zealand’s most attractive and liveable provinces. I will need help after about the 10th January 2026. Hawke’s Bay is enjoying a very hot summer and we are swimming every day .

I am old enough to be your grandfather, loving life and every second left of it, which is probably about ten years. Debs is my Numero Uno accomplice in this endeavour; basically, we're trying to avoid the old folks home. HelpX can help us do that and travel the world at the same time. We get to listen to stories of your great adventure and hear about your homeland; maybe even see yr home (Utube and Google walkabouts). Goals of the Ten Year Plan are to create gardens that produce vegetables year round. Make a "groovey space' by the stream. Transform the van into an independent living space. Create a backyard Cricket pitch with netting. Develop the roadside shed into a café, serving cricketing customers. Run the HelpX by remote control so we can travel. Ultimately to have some support when we pop our clogs. Have it set up so that the HelpX continues in perpetuity. Although the house is a bit of a disaster (badly needs a paint job and leaks in the bathroom etc etc), the work no...

Welcome! Your choice: You can exchange two hours help a day for the room only, or you can work for 4 hours a day and we provide meals. We have a private spot close to town here, and are two friendly people, a little dog, and some chickens. Our quiet and green home is in easy and pleasant walking distance of Nelson city centre. It's like being in the country. There is also a bus just steps away, if you want to get into town quickly. This is a good mix - looking after trees, garden, house and each other; making music; preserving fruit, etc We - meaning us two, Ian and Eva - love WWOOFers who enjoy what we are doing, and want to be friendly and part of the family. Eva is a Homoeopath, Ian is an Engineer, we both love to sing, eat, and share good food, and have fun with friendly woofers. The house is surrounded by green hills, with some of Nelson's best bike tracks and walks right next to us. We love cooking and sharing meals. Hey you ! Do you want to come and spent some nice time in wild Transylvania ? It's a place where the time has stopped and rural life isn't a fake touristic attraction but beautiful hard reality. My house and grounds are located in the hills nearby Bradetu village, 750m up in the Carpathian Mountains by the foot of the highest part - Fagaras. The environment is a healthy variation of forest and prairies, streams and rivers blooming with (sometimes rare) life. The air is clean, fresh and the night skies are glorious. *Home My home is an eco-friendly straw bale construction. Clay was used for the finishing of the straw walls and interior walls. The floor of the attic was filled with sheep's wool. You will have one big room with spectacular views all around. Sanitation is basic because of no running water. In the house is a dry toilet using sawdust, bath and wash-basin. Inside the house you can find mobile signal out mostly only weak, wifi connection. The sun gives us enough electricity...

We are a family of 5 living in the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia. Sue is the founder of Peaceful Hollow.

Are you proactive (meaning you see if something has to be done, and not waiting until we bring the plates and serve the food)? Are you willing to live between dogs and horses? Are you open minded enough to live in a surrounding that does not have a routine, so e.g. having dinner in the late afternoon or not knowing what will be tomorrow? You do not need a new introduction into to-do`s every day as you can memorize them? If all answered "yes", continue!
