Hello there, I'm looking for travellers, nature lovers, people interested in permaculture and a different way of living. I'm Erik, class '88, I live in northern Italy where I've been building a permaculture project for the last few years. I've always been a dreamer, a wanderer seeking adventure and a deeper connection with Nature. After few years of working and travelling the world I decided to start this other journey here 1,5 hours drive from my birth place. As a sensitive person, Healing is a good portion of what drove this life choice into being, as I find it more gentle and sustainable for ourselves and the environment. On a more practical note, the land for now is taken care of for self sufficiency and not as a businness. I can offer food and accomodation in exchange of 3/4 hours of work, 5 days a week.. Most jobs are to do with the garden and the orchard, from planting out vegetables, tree planting, weeding, spreading compost, wood chipping, mulching, all depending on the tim...

Currently we have a lot of visitors staying so we cannot host you until later in February. We prefer 2 weeks notice if possible. Welcome to central Auckland and our hidden garden. We have hosted many many cyclists over the years and now we want to host HelpX people as well. Our old home is centrally located in Auckland It has a large natural garden and that means lots of birds and a relaxing back yard. Our old cat sleeps all around the house so you must like cats. We can give you lots of advice about where to go around the North Island, and some advice on the South Island. We propose that you stay a night after arriving from overseas, to recover from your flight to get set up for your trip around New Zealand. Afterwards you can assist with work around the house in return for accommodation and food. We prefer 3 nights. 1 night to recover and 2 days helping out. 4 days maximum as we like to meet lots of different people. We will provide an evening meal, but prefer you to bring yo...

Sorry, no vacancy right now. Currently full. Later on we shall require help with DIY repairs and maintenance, timber work, upgrading a dinghy to fit a roof and remote steering, repairs to trailer and for help with early morning gardening, housekeeing, cooking and dog walking on the beach. Regarding the DIY and timber work, our next vacancy is likely to be in March when it is cooler. From then on, we shall be looking for reasonably good DIY handymen and women, with some experience in working with wood, capable of working effectively, when necessary, on your own or as a pair and, ideally, someone who also has some gardening experience, but that is not really necessary, learn on the job! 😉👍. So you need to be a "morning person" who is happy to start work at 07.00 hr, at least five mornings a week, not a night-owl. This is to avoid the heat of the afternoons at this time of year, mornings are beautiful. Much of the work, in addition to the above, from March on, will be outside; ...

We are Axel and Mônica (both 51). We are living in Portugal and our house with 3000 squaremeters of land is in a small village in the countryside of the beautiful Algarve. We can offer accommodation (bedroom - as you can see on the picture - and separate bathroom for you) and meals of course. Behind the village the mountains start, so here is a lot of nature, the beaches are 30km away. The next town (Messines) is 4km away, the next village about 1km. We need helpers from end of February 2026 for three weeks for some work in our garden.. We prefer a couple or two friends, but if you are a single helper, you can contact us as well. Helpers are very welcome to our house!

Looking for helpers preferably a couple or female. We have a project that we need help with. Nothing too complicated but plenty of it to do. We would love to have someone with building skills or at least a 'have a go attitude'. There may also be some meat packing to help with as well, anlways gardening and house chores and it’s baby season so we will need you to check the cows each day. We will teach you. :) We have a small beef farm in the Southern Forests of Western Australia between Perth and Albany nearer to the coast. We enjoy the cultural exchange with our Helpers and enjoy helping them improve their English. We have had many Helpers over the years. There is lots of beautiful spots to visit around the area. If you don’t have a car we can loan you one on your time off if you are confident to drive - for only short distances around the area. And we have two cute but sometimes annoying little dogs Tiny and Teddy! :D If you are honest, have a good sense of humour and have a ...

A lively, friendly surf-centric accommodation just a short stroll from Selong Belanak Beach. It’s not a big party hostel, but it does have that relaxed, social surf vibes that many backpackers and nomads love — think comfy mixed dorms, cool communal spaces, and a terrace where you can compare surf stories after a session. It’s a great base for beginner-friendly waves and connecting with other travellers

Hello. We are a small Llamas farm, located in the Pyrenees mountains. If you are looking for an original French experience, it could be the right place for you! Here in the high Pyrenees, near the Andorra & Spanish border, we offer you the possibility to live and work in a calm and isolated place, surrounded by high mountains and nothing but pure nature, and good meals "à la française" after our activities among our lamas (about 15 of them). We are a retired French couple, but we used to work and live in foreign countries and continents, which made us interested in people and cultures from all over the world. In the surroundings, there are beautiful places that we would be happy to make you discover, and if you want, we can trek together with Llamas... For your own, you get an entire and cosy apartment (2 bedrooms, 1 or 2 people, single or couple), and join us for generous meals, mostly with local products, that we like to share and appreciate together (so, no vegetarian requir...

We are a couple from Austria and we live since january 2014 in the middle of the Swedish nature together with around 25 Alaskan Huskies. Our farm is in the middle of now-where at the beginning of Swedish Lapland and you can expect a lot of nature, lakes, woods and a lot of wild animals like bears, lynx, moose, reindeers and many different kind of birds. You can help us with training and feeding the dogs, cleaning the kennels. In wintertime there is also help needed with snow shoveling. You should be able to speak English (B2) or German. You should also be able to work sometimes alone. There is plenty of spare time, to explore the nature and the surrounding. You should be at least 18 years old, a teamplayer, love to be outside, it is not necessary that you have knowledge about dogs or in special about sleddogs. You will get all the information from us. What we offer is accommodation in a cabin with bathroom and toilet. And you will get groceries which you can cook for yourself. Yo...

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . Located 12 minutes the pristine beach’...

I am an Irish filmmaker recently relocated to rural France, where I am developing a filmmaking residency and independent creative retreat in a 150-year-old French manor house. The property includes a 20+ room château-style house and two vast barns, which I am in the process of transforming into a fully independent film and arts studio complex. The long-term vision is to host filmmaking residencies, Kino Kabaret events, writers’ retreats, and film-industry masterclasses, alongside screenings, collaborative productions, and summer open-air theatre. This is a hands-on, evolving creative space designed for filmmakers, writers, artists, and curious makers who want to live and work together in a quiet, inspiring setting. The barns are being converted into:a 30-seat cinema / screening room editing suites a recording studio additional artist studios and workshop space Inside the main house, the work is largely restoration: painting and decorating historic salons and bedrooms, laying tile and w...

We live on a semi rural farming property of 52ha overlooking the Waitemata harbour with views of Waiheke, Rangitoto and the Skytower, 30 mins south east of Auckland City. We are two minutes from the beach and there are several walks and cycling tracks nearby. We mainly farm sheep and also keep bees. You would be living as part of our family and are welcome to join in with any social events and activities, in particular fishing and boating. We have 3 adult children, and three grandchildren as well as three dogs and a cat. As a family we all enjoy meeting people from different cultures and forging connections with them and now have lifetime friends around the world. You can help us with gardening, landscaping, painting, building bee apiaries, planting natives (Autumn) and general housework and maintenance. It would be for a maximum of 4 hours a day which will leave plenty of time to explore the local area.

Kia Ora. I run an Angora goat farm just outside Oxford in North Canterbury. I have 180 very cute goats which I shear for fibre twice per year. I also run smaller numbers of sheep. I farm in a sustainable way and have been trialling some regenerative agricultural practices. I am a keen outdoors person, love walking and climbing and often take helpers tramping, sightseeing, rock climbing or even rafting! I am looking for helpers from this week Feb 2026 onwards. Jobs include farm work, gardening, housekeeping, servicing and cleaning my AirBnB and learning about our farming systems. You would have your own room and receive all your food in return for 4-5 hours work per day. Those are the typical Helpx conditions. There are usually other Helpxers at the farm and we work, eat and live as a family, sharing housework and cooking tasks. I look forward to welcoming you to the farm!

We are a family-owned registered dog breeding and rearing business on our 14-acre hobby farm in the northern part of Victoria. It's flat country with picturesque canola fields in yellow bloom, gumtrees, dirt roads and a huge clear blue sky. Our home is conveniently situated between three towns less than 15km away, one of which is a big town(Echuca) for all major shopping and other recreation. We are a homeschooling family with Christian values consisting of myself (Jacques), my wife (Simone) and our two children (Rachel and Jonathan). On our farm we also have an orchard and chickens. But we spend most of our time with our Border Collie dogs and puppies, which is what we need help with. Our home is only 2 hours away from Melbourne, so you can easily take a weekend off and drive to Melbourne for a visit. We are looking for an enthusiastic person/persons who love animals, especially dogs, to come and stay with us and give us a hand on the farm. We need people who are hardworking and take ...

We are an operating farm. Mostly silviculture. We farm mostly trees. We are situated in one of the largest Cork Tree areas in the world.Mediterranean forest ecoystems are considered one of the most important ecosystems right after Virgin Forests. We also have lots of pine trees both for lumber and also for pine nuts. Cork and pine nut trees are a very sustainable resource as their lifespan is over 200 years and they produce cork and pine nuts during that time. We pride ourselves for being an environmentally responsible farm and we enjoy teaching volunteers and visitors about what we do. We are a Forest Stewardship Council certified farm. FSC is a worldwide recognized organization that certifies socially and environmentally respectful organizations like ours, that harbour and follow, strict guidelines for workers, neighbouring populations and the environment. We are audited on a regular basis. We are an Argentinian/ German family restoring a historical house in the village of Anna, Valencia, using traditional and organic materials wherever possible. Our household includes Erika (Argentine), myself (German), our son Matías (13), and Jonas (24), a German carpenter and joiner who works locally and helps with the project. The house is the historical home of Francisco Sanz, famous ventriloquist and pupeteer of the early 20th Century and we are proud to contribute to keeping this local heritage alive. About Anna & the Area Anna is a village around 60km from Valencia, set among olive, almond and citrus orchards with good walking and freshwater swimming in the iummediate area, including several waterfalls. On weekends, the area is brimming with hikers and cyclists (on and off road) and there is good climbing. Just at the back door, 500m behind the house, there is a natural pool with a waterfall- great for a dip in the morning or an afternoon swim. The village has good amenities...

We have hosted many many cyclists over the years and now we want to host HelpX people as well.

Hi, I am excited to be able to host again! I love living close to nature, co creating with my environment and doing my best to live with awareness. I enjoy simple things like food I have grown, good company, birdsong, swimming in the river, singing... I am an artist/musician and traveller. I like to do yoga and meditation most days. I am always happy to meet other travellers to share knowledge and life experience. As well as English I speak Italian. I now have a puppy living with me so it's helpful if you like dogs. Her name is Leia and she's very cute. I am looking for help on my property which I am developing as a nature retreat. It is a great place to re centre and recharge. It would suit people who are nature lovers who like being off the beaten track. There is no wifi or TV Sending and receiving texts is generally ok Phone reception maybe dependent on your phone or if the gods are happy! I enjoy meeting people from around the world to share knowledge, experiences, work and hope...

Our beautiful green 9 acres are VERY close to central New Plymouth and Mt Taranaki. The famous stunning, mirror-lake walk in Egmont National Park, is just right at the end of our street. Favourites are Pukekura Park, (home of WOMAD Music Festival), the beautiful Te Rewa Rewa Bridge, and Coastal Walkway. You can hire a surfboard and “catch some waves”. We are SO close to the beach. Our place is quiet, peaceful, green and rural. You’ll enjoy the best sleeps ever! Join us, ...
