Hello. Before you read anything else, I simply want to say thank you. Thank you to the helpx team for creating this beautiful platform. It has changed my life in ways I never imagined. For the past 10 years, I have had the privilege of hosting incredible people from all over the world here. Every volunteer has left something behind—not just their work, but their stories, ideas, skills, cultures, laughter, and friendships. Together, we have built much more than a farm; we have created a learning community where everyone teaches, everyone learns, and everyone grows. And thank you for taking the time to read my profile. Perhaps you're just curious, or perhaps you're already thinking about visiting. Either way, I truly appreciate your time. If our paths cross, I hope you won't come here only as a volunteer. I hope you'll come as a friend, ready to share your knowledge, learn new skills, experience a simple life close to nature, and create memories that will stay with you long after you lea...

Hi! I'm Tonje and I moved to my farm in 2020. And there's always a lot to do here. This small farm is in a very small town, by the fjord in Hardanger. Its a good place for hiking and culture. The area is quiet and scenic. The closest cities are Odda and Bergen. The bosses of the house are 4 dogs and 3 cats. Right now I don't have any farm animals of my own. But the neighbor's sheep live here too. I would have been very grateful for various help on my small farm. The work can be very varied. But I need help with maintenance of the outdoor area, wood working, chopping firewood and snow shoveling. I also have an airbnb, so cleaning, organize and tidying jobs are also tasks that I may need help with. Help are appreciated a lot. For your help, I can offer beautiful scenery, food and a private bedroom.

At our off- grid solar, wood and gravity powered homestead you can live very close to Nature and learn by helping, how to grow your own food in the big, fully caged vegie garden/ orchard and some of how to build a bush cabin (it could be a winning strategy in years to come). We are long term, committed advocates, for climate change action and we've lived with Sustainability and Creating a low "Carbon Footprint" in mind, for 40 yrs now, settling here, (inland of Taree / Port Macquarie) from scratch in 1980, on 680 acres of rocky ridge forest on the wild and steep NW edge of the Bulga Plateau, 500m above sea level (a very beautiful but challenging location)! Watch our YouTube video below, about our community and us, made by the very talented helpxer, Louie Ablett. Three of us live here now, myself 74, David 84 and Sue 64, who started as a WWOOFer and has moved here with the help of a voluntary activity agreement through Centrelink for over 55s'. Sue came in September 2019 , lost th...

We are a family of four offering a comfortable, self‑contained one‑bedroom unit to travellers in exchange for help with our garden, which we are gradually revegetating. Our children are 2 and 4 years old, so we welcome guests who enjoy being around little ones and who can be mindful of keeping noise low during nap times and evenings. Our accommodation is well suited to solo travellers, couples, or friends travelling together who are happy sharing a peaceful, family‑oriented environment. We have a queen sized bed in the bedroom for our guests, however there is also a day bed and a fold out sofa in the units living space that can be converted into additional beds if required. Our home is located in a quiet neighbourhood just 4 km from the Launceston CBD. There is a bus stop close by, and a local supermarket is only a five‑minute walk away. Just across the road from our home is Queechy Lake, a peaceful natural space that is especially appealing to birdwatchers and nature lovers. These...

VOLUNTEER WHILE EXPERIENCE OUR LOCAL LIFE, HELP AND SUPPORT TO EDUCATE OUR CHILDREN FOR THEIR BETTER FUTURE. We are situated in north Arusha. It's one hour by bus from the city center. In most local families in our community there are many children and youth who don't have motivation with education, even their parent they are not motivated to take them to school, therefore you will see many children and youth in the street loosing opportunity of getting education. Our project is alternative way to educate and motivate these Children to have equal opportunity of getting better education. Hello dear traveler, we love to travel, meet different cultures and get in contact with locals. When we do not travel the world, we love to invite the world to our place. We are keen to hear what you have experienced. We (that is Miriam (39), Johannes (44), our son (2) and our dog Malia (10)) bought a house and a garden in the beautiful area of Allgäu four years ago. And there is still a lot to do. We started a vegetable garden and are interested to convert the rest into a beautiful living space for birds, insects and ourselves. The place where the vegetable garden is now, turned out to be very wet. So the next project is to create a new one in a different spot and to turn parts of the old one into a wetland biotope. And we have more ideas for our garden (e.g. build little houses for birds, insects, hedgehogs) and within the house (e.g. some painting, rebuild the inside of a cabinet). There are already many ideas, but we are open for your ideas and interests as well. Walking the dog...

I am renovating a very old miner's cottage ,on a half-acre block, in a cute rural village in central NSW. Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) , please don't come if you have a heavy cold or flu, I'm involved with the elderly. Cheers Al

Hello to you, travelers and curious souls 🌿 We are a small family full of energy and projects: Fabrice, Marion, and little Lucas (20 months old). We live in an old Bresse farmhouse in the Ain department, near the Jura mountains, surrounded by fields, forests, and lakes (the nearest are just 15 minutes away). The farm is located in a quiet, private setting, in the heart of 3.5 hectares of land. It's a place conducive to nature, creativity, and encounters. We are improving this farm to make it a warm, creative, and open place for sharing. This project is above all personal, driven by the pleasure of sharing and creating a welcoming place for our family, friends, and visitors. Specifically, we are improving: • The exterior (woodland, garden area, paths, plantings, etc.) • A former barn that we dream of transforming into a space for expression (music, concerts with friends, small-group celebrations), • And the space near our installed geodesic dome, used as a space for relaxation, obse...

Tena koe, nau mai, haramai ki Tokomaru Bay, a small, predominately Maori seaside community on the East Coast. We live on a four acre lifestyle block in the peaceful Kaiawha Valley about a two minute drive from the village and the beach. There is a 4 Square Supermarket, a cafe and a tavern in the village. We have a room with a queen bed in a sleep out, with helpers own separate lounge/kitchenette. Access to washing machine. The bathroom is inside the main house located a few metres away. Most of the work we require is gardening, landscaping, milking cow, feeding animals, preserving food, servicing our Bed and Breakfast (List 1 Historic Places building) firewood, weed eating, mowing and general maintenance. Jan is a teacher and does some casual relieving and Bill works from home developing Te Reo Maori learning resources for our local tribe and teaches Te Reo Maori one day a week. Both of us are involved in our community, at the marae and other activities. We think 'whanau' s...

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

Our Project is the Transformation of an Urban Villa into a Sustainable, Eco Villa promoting Community lifestyle and Traditional Culture. For almost 7 years and with the help of 1000 volunteers the results are magnificent and we have now become a NGO THE CROSSROADS, transitioning to a new dimension willing to share with the HelpX community of volunteers. All volunteers receive our hospitality, meet several other participants to our project and enjoy community lifestyle, visit the local landmarks during the free days, sleep at beds with pillows at private or shared bedrooms! All meals are daily provided by our chef, usually 4 meals! Sometimes some volunteers are required to cook for the group. Food is quite selective here and we put a lot of focus on the eating experience. Volunteers are required to share the home duties such as dishwashing, indoor or outdoor cleaning etc. Regarding the works that take place here at the current phase, there is landscaping and garden maintenance, basic ...

I am looking for someone in July for 7 nights. Preference a solo or two friends, or couple. Preference for help with office administration, IT, technology, too hard for me. Photo items for me for market place. I'm downsizing. Plus assorted household tasks. I have a modern clean home, cosy warm home. Full kitchen, bathroom, and laundry. I am looking for diligent, hard working, giving helpers. Helpers that fully embrace the help exchange program. Various tasks inside and outside dependent on the weather. We usually work in the mornings depending on the tasks and weather and other things. I can be flexible too. Sundays, usually off. Sorry folks, but apart from a 2 week slot from 1st Sept - 15th Sept (for wine making), we are now fully booked until the beginning of April 2027. There may be a cancellation, but these are very rare, but if you are in the area, reach out, we love to chat :) As well as the normal homesteading tasks, if you want to learn about wine making, bee keeping, jewellery making, or help Tony with his self defense book and video courses, we could be a great match. Have a think, take a look at our reviews and if you are interested, drop us a line, *** Our beautiful countryside homestead (only 5 acres so not really a farm) is in the mountainous hills above the historic castle town of Caccamo, Sicily. It is surrounded scraggy mountains and long valley walks. It is perfect for hiking or just relaxing in the sun with a good book. Within easy traveling distance for those interested in exploring this culturally rich island, is the seaside town of Cefalù or even the main capital city of Palermo, bot...

We have an automotive country workshop where we fix and service cars, 4WDs, trailers, tractors and all sorts of machinery. In our spare time we look after our little farm, some sheep, some cattle and rabbits. We also have a forest where we work and tidy up occasionally. So we are always in need of a couple of helpful hands to support us. We love to get to know different cultures and people. We grow our own meat, fruit and vegetables. Gustav also brews his own beer and makes wine and cider and lately also green tea. A mature, non-smoking, self-organized person, preferable not a vegetarian, to give us a hand with house and land, would fit best into our lifestyle. You will have to join into our daily routines: breakfast is at around 7am and then we feed all the animals, especially the hungry dogs and work starts at 8am. We need to get everyone organized before customers arrive in the workshop. We expect about 4 hours work per day and we offer a nice room with a lovely warm bed, gr...

COULD USE HELPERS NOW!! In return for 4 hours help a day I offer you accommodation and all meals in a sunny, warm home where you will have your own bedroom (queen size bed) and own bathroom with the added privacy of being in a separate wing of my house. My sunny home sits atop a hill from which you will have a magnificent view of the township of Blenheim to Cook Strait and the hills of the North Island beyond. Of course if you would prefer to work a full day in order to have a day off in which you could explore the nearby Marlborough Sounds, cycle the wine trails, or walk or climb on any of the formed tracks in this area, that would be just fine. My 40 ha property is a sheep/beef farm most of which is leased. I tend a large garden and care for the drive and tracks, drainage and irrigation and deal with fallen trees. It is help with this work I require.. Therefore most of the work is outdoor, constantly varied, not difficult, with some indoors work on occasions. The farm is situa...

We are looking for helpers from right now and have space for one or two people. We have three small cabins, two with double beds and one with a single bed so room for up to five helpers normally but only room for two at the moment as we have another couple staying. All the helpers share a kitchen and bathroom. From now end of June we need help with some building work so preference will be given to people who already have some skills with tools.. We are a great place to start or end your time in New Zealand as we are only 45 minutes drive from Auckland airport. The work will be varied and interesting but usually building and garden based. It could include finishing off an underground earth bag hobbit hole. We have a passion for earth building and organic gardening. Its good if you are over the age of 20, are self motivated and can work unsupervised. We are located on Auckland's beautiful West Coast only 40mins drive from Auckland central city. We operate Muriwai surf school and ad...

Hello, I’m David! I have sold my coffee shop after 45 years in the hospitality trade, where travelling workers would once work, however I STILL offer helpers the same excellent own room lodging as homestay & great food in exchange for a little light work and some social contact. I live close the train station and bus stop and am a 30 min trip by train to Melbourne City. There is a vehicle to drive locally if are appropriately licensed. You are welcome to use it. I go to the outback in western New South Wales about 3 times a year for the purpose of experiencing the beautiful "timeless land" of Australia and to legally hunt feral animals which endanger our wildlife. I often take workers to the outback so they can have a taste of the real Australia and I can assure that none of the numerous helpers/woofers I have taken over a many year period did not thoroughly enjoy it. . However the choice is theirs whether they accompany myself or whether they stay and "mind the house" I also oft...

This is a Standardbred Race Horse (Harness Racing) farm at the foot of Tamborine Mountain. Located 45 minutes from Brisbane in the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland. The closest train station is Beenleigh. Your own car is a plus. We welcome working holiday visa holders with good horse experience and most importantly a passion for horses !! In order to learn your daily task, routine and horses personalities, we will ask you to stay a minimum of 3 weeks. Long stays are really welcome. Your role on the farm would be helping with the daily care of our racehorses. It's an everyday job starting depending of the sun (4.30am in summer and later on winter time). We start each morning training the horses, washing them and feeding them. All the retired horses need to be feed and watered as well. We need to feed and water all the horses again each night before dark. The ideal helpers will be positive, willing and with a some decent english. Because it’s a 30 hec property and there is always some...

We are Sunny from China and Jeff from New York and we live in a small town in Oklahoma called Olustee of about 500 people. Nearby is a city called Altus of 19,000 people with stores, bars, restaurants and entertainment. You are invited to our place, either just to visit or to stay and help out. We have 4 bedrooms for travelers and helpers in our guest house available for you (can accommodate probably up to 10 people) and there is also a game room, swimming pool (in the summer) and basketball court on the property. We also have campgrounds with a fire pit and tents. I’m Darrall, a long-time design educator and university adjunct working part-time from home, supervising PhD students and doing education research. It’s a unique home near Port Stephens where all the rooms are five-sided pentagons. The house, cottage and permaculture gardens sit close to the inland sea, bushland, beaches, and a village community. Singles, friends, or couples are welcome, and I can host up to four helpers at a time if the fit is right. The local village has a community garden, occasional cafe, tennis court, and activities in the Village Hall such as yoga, pilates, Tai Chi, Zumba, and community events. A car is not essential. The closest pick-up point is Karuah, which is on the Greyhound bus route from Sydney and can also be reached by local bus from Newcastle. Option 1 — Self-contained cottage:
A private cottage about 20 metres from the main house, with its own kitchen/dining area, bathroom/shower, lounges, two king-single sofa beds (or double), aircon and log fire...

This is where you come when you’re finished with the norm and its systems. Thinking outside the box and voluntary simplicity inform my life. There is joy in the cycles of life. There are lambs and baby rabbits. The kale and chard are blooming to reseed. Spring is blooming and the tree frogs are singing. Im planning on creating a new chicken house this year. If you’re capable with a hammer and saw, have I got stuff for you to do 😎 im not looking for a professional carpenter. This is git er dun, use what you have type building. People wanting to learn gardening and food ways are always welcome- carpentry skills UN nescessary. I live off-grid in a 240 sq ft hand built caravan. I am practicing sustainability thru permaculture. my farm garden is beyond organic, relying on natures synergy. It is my dream to be fully self sufficient in food and herbs. also in the dream-works are an outdoor summer kitchen, a solar oven, a solar water heater for the caravan, more food forest which includes...

If you would like a homely, wondrous Blue Mountains experience, nestled in nature, without being surrounded by tourists, you’re welcome to stay with us. You will relax and unwind here, sit in front of the fire in the evenings, drink tea, go on bushwalks, watch the alpacas, and share stories. Then wake to amazing sunrises! Especially quiet for those that have just come from a Vipassana meditation retreat. If you're a rock climber, you can walk to crags at Shipley and Centennial Glen. We have two alpacas, some chickens, and two indoor cats. We live in a new house on a two acres, next to the Blue Mountains National Park. Amazing bushwalks begin at our home. Walk to Govetts Leap waterfall, Evans Lookout, the Grand Canyon, and Blue Gum Forest. We need ENERGETIC help in the yard, mainly splitting firewood. There are lots of small jobs, all requiring good strong MUSCLES. We also need help with BUSH REGENERATION because there are weeds that have invaded the rare and endangered hanging s...

Welcome! Our family owned and operated certified organic livestock farm in North Central British Columbia is excited to have you stay and become a part of everything we have going on. We’ve been operating since 2008, primarily raising Berkshire pigs, Dexter cattle, Katahdin sheep, laying hens, broiler chickens and of course bronze breasted turkeys for thanksgiving and Christmas. On top of that, we’re home to two Labrador retrievers (Ned and Nelly), 3 outdoor cats, 2 guard alpacas and a family of Muscovy ducks. In other words, you will never find yourself not in the company of animals! Aside from livestock, we have recently built a small farm store / café that cooks the meat raised on the farm. We also take pride in creating all recipes from scratch, from the sauces to the buns of the burgers. Currently only operating during the summer months, 3 days per week. It’s been a lot of work, but a great way to get more people out to the farm, eating good food and connecting with the community...

Would like to learn and look after a vineyard and winery this season, no experience is necessary. Established in 1998 and hosting HELPXers for over 15 years, it is the only certified organic winery in the Perth region. It is situated in the Swan Valley, 7km from Elenbrook and 15km from the Perth airport. The vineyard has 3,000 vines, a large house we live in, a machinery shed, and a winery/distillery on the property. Winemaking occurs during the summer months from January to March. A large, spacious room with a double bed, attached to the house, has a private entrance. Applications for mature couples as applicants are now open. Opportunities for vineyard and maintenance work are available. Couples with Visitor Visas are also welcome. I want (NON-smoking) volunteers who wish to experience domestic, distillery, vineyard, and winemaking work. During the season, there are generally outdoor activities, such as winery and vine work, plus gardening if it is not raining or too hot. Be ...

We are offering travelers a warm, comfortable two-story Celery Top Pine Pole home we built ourself. You will enjoy magical views of the ocean and mountain and will wake to the sounds of the wild birds that flock to our food and water bowls. We are regularly visited by possums, wallaby's and various other wildlife. If you're lucky you may even see a Tasmanian Devil. We aspire to a sustainable way of living and adore our large established organic garden, which we are needing help with maintaining. We ask helpers to provide a minimum of 4.5 hrs of work each day for 5 days with two full days off. If you would like a day off after working a few days we ask you to make up the hours on other days. Some helpers also purchase their own food and only work 2.5 hours a day if this suits you better. We are also very flexible and happy to listen to your requests. We are Craig, Violaine and Max, 6, we also have 2 cats, Pearl and Russell, and ducks, chickens, too many to name them all. Our touristic lodge, where we live, is situated at the bottom of the South Island, with privates rooms, shared bathrooms and some camp sites, catering to mostly hikers but its open to anyone. Closed the winter season, we are still busy doing renovations, preparing the gardens or traveling. Trying to be eco-friendly, semi self sufficient, means that we do a lot of gardening in a hands on spray free way (essentially organics, but that is a licensed word), growing our own food for meals, seed raising, planting, picking, preserving the excess to sell or use, there is always something to do and they can change from month to month with the seasons.. Craig is a chef and barista and cooks breakfasts and dinners for guests, if they book meals, we try to cook everything from scratch, making the bread, compote, make jams, etc. If you are interested in food, he has 40 years of...

My hobby farm is 7 acres of tropical fruit trees; Jackfruit, Durian, sapote, coconuts, banana, Rolinia, Soursop and many more. Weeding, mulching, pruning and picking is the main work needed here. As the property is on top of the Rex range at a high altitude it has views and is a few degrees cooler than the coast . There is a creek at the bottom of the property but it isnt suitable for swimming . It is for wildlife, so cooling off is in the plunge pools or we go for a short drive to the nearby creek or waterfall. The provided accomodation is a caravan which also has a little kitchen. You are welcome into the house to use the toilet & bathroom and share meals . The house is adjacent to the caravan and faces the orchard & mountains. Regarding the orchard ,depending on what is fruiting, we will process the fruit ; freezing, dehydrating, or making smoothies. Regarding meals Im generally vegetarian( but do eat fish occasionally) , But I am not keen with red ...

Since we started this program we saw alot of changes and the children are motivated to come and learn to our school. We run a nursery school and an education Centre where we help these children to have better early education as we believe that a child’s future success and advancement in life is greatly influenced by their early educational experience as those who have go to school early develop an i...

I can take a single person, or a couple of people, straight away for two weeks, preferably longer. Scroll dowm, read the profile, AND my reviews, then message me if you are interested. You will surely enjoy. “Work is love made visible” …Kahlil Gibran If you understand the above quotation then you are the HELPER I want. Please, read EVERYTHING below before requesting hosting. I am renovating a very old miner's cottage ,on a half-acre block, in a cute rural village in central NSW. The Cottage is about 175 years old, built originally with timber that was milled on-site by hand. The original Cypress Pine slabs stand vertical. The cottage is bei...

My standard request is a minimum 7 nights. I often work alongside my helpers on projects if and when required. My standard is an average of two half hours per day and you provide your own food. We usually work in the mornings depending on the tasks and weather and other things. I can be flexible too. Sundays, usually off. Daily helping hours can vary and some day hours are longer and other days shorter. I am a home stay, so its dependent on the weather and task required and cha...

We would like help with cleaning of guest rooms, cooking, painting of walls and murals, some light construction work (very simple, you don't need to know anything), fixing bicycles for the neighborhood kids as well as maintaining the pool (in the summer). We have been doing this for about 15 years now and had guests from all over the world stay with us. We can show you around this part of Oklahoma and you are welcome to expl...

Previous gardening experience is essential as well as cooking/helping with evening meals, household duties, and other jobs as required...
