We are an intentional community started in 1974, with approx 20 adults and 7 children. It is set up as a village with individuals and families having their own homes and gardens, and a central community meeting house which includes 3 bedrooms for visitors. The common land is farmed with mostly beef cows, chickens, and 2 horses. Work includes gardening, general farm work, house maintenance, tree pruning and weed eradication. Helpers stay in the woofers house and need to do 20 hours work each week to cover your accommodation and some food. The hours are usually done over 5 days so you can have 2 days off! The basic food-stuffs are provided, such as rice, oats, lentils, flour, sugar, tea, coffee, salt n pepper and usually there is some garden produce. Organic eggs are available for $8 per dozen.
