Looking for a lovely volunteer(s) to join us and our animals. AVAILABILITY FROM early October. We are fully booked until then. Please contact us if you are interested in helping look after our wonderful animals. Experience with horses is useful but not necessary as long as you are happy to care for them. You will live as part of the family - during your stay, our home will be your home. We are a married couple living on a property with our DOGS, HORSES and an elderly but treasured chicken. Depending on the time of year, we also run a small scale rescue and rehabilitation centre for hedgehogs. There are stunning views looking out over a Devon Wildlife Nature Reserve and beautiful countryside. We live in a very attractive rural area of Devon on the outskirts of a beautiful old village called DOLTON (please look on "Google Maps") about a 45 minute drive from Dartmoor National Park. The village has a very friendly and active community, a church, 2 excellent traditional pubs, a post off...

Currently I need help with some gardening and mainly house cleaning and organising so ideally someone who likes cleaning and organising. . Space available for one person We have a large 3000m2 garden. Really keen for someone able to do some physical garden work and create order in my house. It's an ongoing challenge! I have a newish house on a big section approx 4km from the center of Wanaka. It is best if you have your own transport. We are always adding and managing the gardens. I usually live in the house with my daughter however she is now away travelling and sometimes my other children - 20 years plus and one cat and a dog. I also have a horse that lives elsewhere - semi-retired now, but we can go and visit her if you are keen. Just ask. I would love help in the garden there is lots to do, but also would like help with cleaning and organising in the house and cooking and odd jobs. Very sadly my wonderful husband Andrew passed away and he spent many hours in the garden so kee...

Hi everyone! We have a beautiful property a short walk/drive away from a gorgeous New Zealand beach. We live 45 minutes from Hamilton and 20-25 minutes from Raglan. Our area is very remote - we have some neighbours but there are no shops here or public transport, just farmland. So if you enjoy being away from cities and people then this is the place for you! Our property suits people who enjoy the outdoors and surfing, hiking, walking, animals, solitude. There is a beautiful mountain right by our house for hiking, great surfing and fishing in the area, and Raglan (a little over 20 minutes away) which is a vibrant and energetic little beach town with world famous surf. This exchange is for accommodation only. We have a cabin with a big bed and beautiful views of the farmland and mountain and sea. There is a kitchenette for you to keep and cook your own food. The bathroom is about 20 metres away from the cabin and it is a composting toilet with shower that does the job but is gravity-f...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. PLEASE NOTE WELL: we absolutely cannot host anyone with any pre-existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions), such as hay fever, any other allergies, sensitivities or intolerances. Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) , please don't come if you have a heavy cold or flu, I'm involved with the elderly. Cheers Al

We are on an 70 acre farm in North Pope County, Illinois and are virtually surrounded by the Shawnee National Forest. Having been on this farm for 13 years, we are still developing infrastructure and are continuing to plant in the orchard and various berries as well as establishing and expanding garden and crop areas. We are a GMO, herbicide and pesticide free farm in all of our outdoor areas. As we are far away from "modern agricultural" property, we feel that we should have no problems with cross pollination of our crops with GMO's or damage/exposure from/to ag chemicals. There are many projects currently in process or in the planning stages. This summer/fall we hope to get new water and electric lines ran to all the barns and the greenhouse as well as get a fiber studio framed in and get the finishing touches on the greenhouses. Tasks on the farm are endless, so there are always things to do year round. Clearing brush, cutting wood, building fence, baling hay, sawing lumber, ...

Hello Potential Volunteers My name is Paul and it was my dream to change my lifestyle from being an office worker to becoming an alpaca farmer.... here we are 14 years later with 100 alpacas, each individually cherishes with names and unique personalities, plus an assortment of other animals all needing our love :) I have three children: Liam (21), Dylan (9) and Oscar (6), and our 100-acre farm is home to approx.100 alpacas, plus llamas, peacocks, hens, mini pigs, a cat named Sexy, and our farm dog Malta. This year we are expecting 20 'cria' (baby alpacas) and each one will need our help so they can thrive! We need to ensure they get colostrum (filled with antibodies and vital for good health) – have they fed from their mums within the first 24hrs? Are they then drinking enough milk from their mums every day? Are they gaining weight? The well-being of my animals is the most important thing on the farm. Do they have good food and enough water, and the best possible natural environme...

Hi, I'm Grant, I am as kiwi as you can get, and l live on a peaceful lifestyle block in near Otorohanga (7 minutes away) in the Waikato where l have built a workshop and tiny home, l am off grid with solar, fresh water and gas for hot water and cooking, also use wood for cooking sometimes as well. I'm very fit and healthy, l live a healthy lifestyle, I'm honest, open minded and straight up, l don't accept stress or bullshit in my life and l don't apologize for that. If you can't handle someone honest, positive, hard working and who gives compliments and praise then this is not the place for you. I enjoy the cultural exchange and I'm only nterested in helpers who want to live a kiwi lifestyle and be involved in my daily life, ie helping in the kitchen, cooking cleaning, watching movies, working together, I'm not interested in helpers who want to spend their time in their bedroom with the curtains closed, l want you to get involved and enjoy the opportunity you have. I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

The accomodation is a 8' x 12' studio with a small covered front porch. There's high speed wifi and solar power, and it's surrounded by forest. There's a nice hexagonal composting toilet, an outdoor shower, and a shared kitchen and dining area. Looking for someone who can work independently on some tasks (gardening, painting) while I'm at my day job, and we'll work together some too (tree planting, construction projects). I work as a zipline guide and love touring people around the Island, so I'd be happy to take you on adventures on the weekends too!

We are a family of four looking for a bit of help on our large property, located on beautiful Quadra Island. We are always keen to meet new people and share knowledge. Our home is located on 5 hectares of forested land, including many trees that are over 50m tall. We built our timber frame house about 15 years ago with locally milled wood that was mostly sourced from trees growing our property. In addition to our forest, we have large gardens that were developed based on principles of permaculture, a nice lawn that is great for badminton, slack lining, and bocce ball, and a friendly dog. In our house, we have a spare bedroom for guests to sleep in, but we also have access to a camper or beautiful camping spots. We also just finished a new sauna with a woodburning stove out in the garden! Our property is conveniently located half-way between the two major centres on Quadra Island, and is a perfect gateway to island living. Quadra is only a ten-minute ferry ride from the larger commun...

I live in an old farm and farmhouse in Normandy. I have converted a cottage into a holiday cottage with 4 bedrooms (all en suite) and one barn into another. I also had a Yurt (now gone but the pictures are still there !!) and a campsite. With the guest-accommodation, farm and further buildings to be converted, I could always do with an extra pair of hands. Skills can range from building, painting, cleaning, farming and general maintenance. Someone with a sense of humour would be great. I enjoy music so you may find all sorts playing, from classical to Genesis, Roxy Music to London Grammar! Current projects (weather dependent) include: 1. tidying toolshed 2. move garden shed I offer accommodation and meals included in return for help normally 5 days a week. After a week I'm happy to give a day tour of the battlefields ... Phone number (what's app) available on request. Easy to find and get to .. .By train leave Paris at the Gare de St Lazare for Cherbourg. Get off at Lison st...

It is our mission to provide visitors from all over the world with an authentic experience of the unique atmosphere and culture of our home in Canada’s far North. As a well-established tourism company, we are diversifying our impacts and create a more resilient business. Doing this is not only fulfilling our long-term mission of developing a self-sustaining Arctic Eco-Village, but also investigating innovative solutions to major obstacles facing communities in the North: food and housing insecurity, decolonizing our economy, capacity development and cultural revitalization. Sustainable farming is not the only focus we have here, but we are continuously developing ideas and trying new farming methods. We are happy to find people from all over the world who are as motivated as we are to make living in the Arctic more sustainable. Organic methods: In the summer time, when we enjoy 24 hour sunshine, we grow our plants in greenhouses without the use of any chemical/artificial fertilizers....

Kia Ora. I run an Angora goat farm just outside Oxford in North Canterbury. I have 180 very cute goats which I shear for fibre twice per year. I also farm sheep and cattle. I farm in a sustainable way and have been trialling some regenerative agricultural practices. I am looking for helpers starting from early September 2026 Jobs include farm work, gardening, housekeeping, servicing and cleaning my AirBnB and learning about our farming systems. You would have your own room and receive all your food in return for 4-5 hours work per day. Those are the typical Helpx conditions. There are usually other Helpxers at the farm and we work, eat and live as a family , sharing housework and cooking tasks. I look forward to welcoming you to the farm!

We are located near the foothills of the Pyrenees in the region of Occitania (formerly Languedoc-Roussillon) in the department of Aude. We speak several languages including English, French and Spanish. You will have lots of free time to explore this very beautiful and interesting region of France. We have no animals and cannot host pets. We need people who have experience and can help with stream restoration before the rains and winter floods come; the water level is presently low enough to reach the parts needing work, but this may not last for long. There is also a fallen tree that needs to be to removed from last year's floods. Accommodation and basic meals offered in exchange for up to four hours of work per day, 5 days per week. We can also offer a camping place for your tent or camper van in exchange for two hours of work per day, or four hours per day with basic meals and other amenities provided. Hello and welcome to our profile :). If you are reading this and have not yet read our reviews - please do so. We were very disappointed to receive the latest review which as you can see, is in total contrast to all others received over the past ten or more years. We do hope that you can look beyond this and speak with us about any concerns you may have in advance of committing to a stay here. We can absolutely guarantee that we are not the kind of people that we have been made out to be, and because of this we have attempted to address all points made although we wish we had not been 'forced' to do so by one person who did not find the experience to her satisfaction. Thank you if you are still reading. Currently seeking single person from 16th August onwards. If you are not available until later, and would like to reserve a place with us please drop us a message and we will chat and try and save your preferred dates. Ideally, a minimum commitment of at least one month is neces...

We are Axel and Mônica (both 52). We are living in Portugal and our house with 3000 squaremeters of land is in a small village in the countryside of the beautiful Algarve. We can offer accommodation (bedroom - as you can see on the picture - and separate bathroom for you) and meals of course. Behind the village the mountains start, so here is a lot of nature, the beaches are 30km away. The next town (Messines) is 4km away, the next village about 1km. We need helpers in September or October for two or three weeks for some work in our garden. We prefer a couple or two friends, but if you are a single helper, you can contact us as well. Helpers are very welcome to our house!

Hello, and thank you for looking at our page/profile! We are looking for a helper (1 person) during the summer (2026) for a 2 week period, maybe longer. Starting in June and continue through the summer and fall. We would like help inside and outside and with plenty of gardening and watering of the garden. Outdoor work includes keeping the gardens tidy, cutting and trimming of trees and mowing the lawn. Also the helper must be able to lift and haul fireplace wood and (ideally) know the use of a chain saw but not necessary. All these tasks we do together. Further work includes simple window washing, exterior window and door painting. Saturday house cleaning, gardening, pool cleaning, ironing sheets for the rentals, etc. We are chefs from New York City so we offer great food and comfortable accommodation though we do not do cooking classes to our helpx friends. In the summer time when weather permits, you have a deluxe caravan for your home. You must be very neat and punctual for work...

We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees.

You can spend your free time going on outings to nearby villages and scenic...

*** Looking for 1-2 girls to assist with with room presentation and gardening around the lodge for around 2 weeks during the 2026/27 season *** Hi there! We have a large modern house 70m from the beach in Anakiwa and 30 mins by road from Picton. There are kayaks here, excellent bush walks and a beautiful relaxed seaside environment. Our kiwi family regularly hosts young volunteers (wwoofers/helpers/interns) from our international visitors. You are treated like a member of our family, you live within our private household, share your background and experience our daily life in New Zealand. As with family members, there are no formal contracts or payment, your input is fully voluntary and you are free to depart at any time. Volunteers normally help out for 3-4 hrs per day with the afternoons/evenings free to relax. Tasks are typically gardening, house cleaning, laundry, helping with meals (vegetarians welcome, but sorry we are not vegetarian!) and generally assisting around the pr...
