Looking for Helpers right through busy summer and autumn months. Plenty going on during summer, shearing, stock work, fencing, weed control, garden tidying, lawn mowing, lots of tractor driving etc. It would be great to have some strong keen helpers to help fix fences and do some building work. Our family of 4 (2 kids - 16 & 18 years old) live on a beautiful sheep and beef farm with large woodland garden and organic vegetable garden. We need help with stock work, general farming tasks, gardening, cooking etc. We're 40 minutes from Nelson, 15 minutes from Motueka. It's an idyllic rural setting with excellent access to rivers, mountains, mountain biking, Abel Tasman & Kahurangi National Parks etc. with easy access to some of the best fly fishing rivers in NZ (and the world!) There's 4-6 hours work per day depending on tasks. Plenty of flexibility to work full days and have plenty of time off to explore. Please be aware you may get hot, wet, muddy, dusty and dirty but rest assured ...

Dear friends and volunteers, as our a relaxing time with swimming and boat rides during the hot summer months is going to end, we are looking for helpers for the automne season. We usually start cleaning the field in September, we have to get rid of all stingy plants and twigs on the ground in order to put the nets later on without any damage. We are planning to start collecting the olives by middle of October, depending on the weather conditions, and continue in several turns till November. Once the harvest season is over, we have to cut the branches and put the smaller ones into the woodchipper, spread organic fertiliser, and repair some terraces. You don´t have to have any special knowledge or skills, we are happy about anyone with energy and supporting us while spreading good vibes. So don't hesitate to contact us when you are around, or you want to stay with us, helping for a minimum of 10 days, preferable around 2 weeks. * * * Kalimera, we are an Austrian couple living in...

Hello, my name is Florent, I'm 45 years old, I was a chef for about twenty years, and since 2017 I've been a spirulina producer. Spirulina is a microalga that's very rich in nutrients. It's a very environmentally friendly crop, requiring little energy and no pesticides. Spirulina needs sun and warmth to grow. The harvest season in our region runs from April to October, and it's during this period that I'm interested in hosting someone (I don't need two people at the same time, one is enough). Normally, I already have people helping me until the end of august, so I'm looking for someone from beginning of september. I mainly need someone to help me harvest the spirulina but also to help me out on the farm with various tasks, as we do everything ourselves: cleaning, labeling, packaging, general maintenance and odd jobs, and also everything else that goes along with the spirulina production: clearing brush, chopping wood, going to markets from time to time, house construction, etc.....

We are a family living in the beautiful village of Herand in the middle of Hardanger. We live close to the fjord and have an accounting firm and a software company that we live off of + some rental of beds in the summer. We have a small greenhouse and a small farm where we have some vegetables. Summer is a busy time and we need 2-3 positive people to help us with different work. We live by the harbour, and have a small farm 2 km away. We have boats, kayaks, canoes and paddleboards. You can use a cabin in the mountains if you wish. The area is well suited for walking or cycling. Normal working hours are 4-5 hours per day.

We are a Portuguese couple with experience on permaculture and self-sufficient-living that in 2015 got 15ha of abundant land in a beautiful valley and an amazing community at the highest mountains inside the biggest natural park of our country. Rita is a health-food enthusiast and loves to work with different kinds of art-craft. She likes to explore Medicinal plants, Food preservation and fermentation, Hygiene products and teaching Forest School. Walking in the nature, singing with friends and doing yoga are some of the other things she enjoys. Gonçalo is a nature lover with a passion for Permaculture and Natural Farming. Studied Organic Agronomy and has been practicing it since 2008, with the help of volunteers, interns and apprentices. He enjoys sharing and to make music with friends. Unfortunately in 2017 a massive fire went over this beautiful valley but our yurts didnt burn and all the animals survived, in the same year we were blessed with our first home-birth daughter Dana....

Experience the peace and tranquility and help with various projects around my home in rural Occitanie, France I am an independent, free spirited 55 year old Australian who will be living most of the year in France when I am not running my charities overseas in East Africa. I am qualified primary school teacher who has taught in the west (Australia, France, Italy and the UK) and in Tanzania, Ghana, Sudan, China, and Thailand. I founded a small community school in Thailand and for three years we had a constant stream of amazing helpers. I could not have achieved what I did without them. I also founded an educational maths charity and a washable period pad charity that operates in Tanzania, Zambia, and Kenya. I am a vegetarian, who is into mindfulness, breathworks, yoga and also enjoys a laugh. Tena koe, nau mai, haramai ki Tokomaru Bay, a small, predominately Maori seaside community on the East Coast. We live on a four acre lifestyle block in the peaceful Kaiawha Valley about a two minute drive from the village and the beach. There is a 4 Square Supermarket, a cafe and a tavern in the village. We have a room with a queen bed in a sleep out, with helpers own separate lounge/kitchenette. Access to washing machine. The bathroom is inside the main house located a few metres away. Most of the work we require is gardening, landscaping, milking cow, feeding animals, preserving food, servicing our Bed and Breakfast (List 1 Historic Places building) firewood, weed eating, mowing and general maintenance. Jan is a teacher and does some casual relieving and Bill works from home developing Te Reo Maori learning resources for our local tribe and teaches Te Reo Maori one day a week. Both of us are involved in our community, at the marae and other activities. We think 'whanau' s...

Beef cattle and sheep farming and cropping. Help required with general farm duties in exchange for meals and accommodation. We enjoy a relaxed lifestyle sharing time with friends of similar interests in a great part of the country. Unfortunately, due to the fact that we live in a rural area sometimes phone and internet service is not great. Helpers need to realize that. If you want city phone service 24/7 stay in the city! My last 2 helpers have been complete time wasters, due to their dependence on a phone, which is unfortunate because all the others have been fantastic., so yeah, take this onboard and appreciate our wonderful country. :-)

We are both retired and live in a converted barn in about two acres of land. The nearest town is Villefranche de Rouergue which is ten kilometres away. We have lived in France long enough to appreciate what we call proper food so. we strive to vary the diet so that no main meal is repeated for at least 14 days (unless specially requested) It may be French, it may be British, or it may be a mixture of French and British and on occasions you will taste the local delicacies We are very flexible about working hours all we ask is that in return for five hours work per day, five days a week, at a time to suit yourself, we will provide you with good healthy tasty food and a private comfortable room which has TV and en-suite facilities, If you are a couple who wish complete privacy, we could provide you with a separate self-contained apartment. Must be non-smoker and we find that feeding vegans is difficult. Please note. If you want to practice your English, then we are your ideal hosts a...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. PLEASE NOTE WELL: we absolutely cannot host anyone with any pre-existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions), such as hay fever, any other allergies, sensitivities or intolerances. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Hello everyone!!! Namaste! This is an organic farm & retreat center located in the Himalayan foothills. We offer unique spiritual pilgrimages, organic food (as much as possible except when there are instances that we cannot produce our own), agricultural farming classes, tantra yoga, sound healing, Chandi mantra chanting & meditation courses. - I am Shree Krishna Shrestha, the owner of this lovely farm and I live here with my 57 year old wife, Sarita Shrestha and our 22 year old daughter who has recently returned back home from studying abroad. I also have two sons who live with their families about 30 minutes far in the town below our village. Hey hey HelpX'ers! 😊 I'm a 31-year-old Kiwi who has spent over five years travelling the world, visiting more than 60 countries and doing HelpX and working holidays in several of them. Those experiences were some of the highlights of my travels, so now it's my turn to return the favour and host! Our farm is a little slice of paradise. We're just 5 minutes from the beach and 5 minutes from town, but tucked away enough to enjoy peace, quiet, beautiful sunsets, and some of the best starry skies you'll ever see. I'm hoping to welcome people who value kindness, respect, good conversation, and enjoying the simple things in life. My goal is to create an easy-going environment where work gets done, but having a great experience together is just as important. The work is a relaxed mix of farm, lifestyle, and general property jobs. We have cattle, chickens, our friendly cat Molly, gardens, an orchard, and there's always something different happening, so no two days are ever the same. I kno...

Kia ora, we extend a warm invitation to host a physically strong, fit and capable couple for approximatelly a week in August/September. Our home is nestled in semi-rural Paremoremo, a mere 10-minute drive from central Albany on Auckland’s North Shore. This area is full of serene natural beauty, enveloped by lush vegetation, and great views of the upper harbour. We are lucky to have an abundance of native birdlife which we marvel at every day. Paremoremo is only about 20 minutes drive away from beautiful white-sand East Coast beaches, which are good for swimming and also sometimes have great surf. Additionally are within an hour's reach of the rugged Waitakere bush ranges and the distinctive black-sand beaches of the West Coast, which offer regular awesome opportunities for surfing and day treks. We are both around 60 so we are slowing down and need help but still very young at heart! Russell has a full-time role as a Project Manager and is keen to help you get started on property-re...

I’m a single mum with shared custody of a wonderful 13 year old daughter, plus a little dog, looking for someone to join us from now and ideally stay for 6 weeks (or even longer). I am self-employed in an import/export business, and have a large house and garden, the care of which get away from me without assistance. The help needed is with day-to-day housework, and gardening. It's not hard, but with a house the size of mine it's too much for a single person with a busy business. Someone who’s a bit handy and could undertake a few little fix-it jobs would be an added bonus. I work full-time, and in the weeks my daughter with me I sometimes need assistance to get her to her various activities, so a full driver's license is required (although I can provide a car). My elderly mum occasionally needs to be driven places as well - she's a fun lady who provides vibrant and lively conversation. Last (but not least) is our dog, Bobbie. She is a gentle and easy member of the household, but...

We are a cultural and arts community that is working towards being self-sustained. The community is situated in the mountains of Monchique, Portugal surrounded by nature. Our community provides an alternative way of living with permaculture gardens, farm animals, sustainability projects, and arts and cultural workshops. It is a great place to come to meet other like-minded people if you are passionate about sustainability and alternative living. We hold community meetings throughout the week alongside activities and workshops, such as quiz nights, dance nights and yoga classes. If you have something you are passionate about and want to share with others, we would love for you to run a workshop. One of the best things here is the variety of tasks you can do as a volunteer, which gives you the opportunity to learn new skills and discover what you enjoy doing most. We have a combination of short-term and long-term volunteers and on average we have between 10 to 20 volunteers and resident...

We're a truganic, biodynamic, permaculture farm in the Catskill Mountains of New York State, two hours Northwest of NYC. 24 acres with approx. 4 acres of wetlands. Approximately 5 acres under cultivation. We follow all the organic standards, and above (since organic standards are constantly being downgraded by the USDA), but are not certified organic. We DO NOT use pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, "cides" of any kind, or chemical fertilizers. We also follow biodynamic & permaculture principles. Season is April through October. We appreciate 5 hours of work per day, 6 days per week. You can choose 8 am to 1 pm, or 7 am to noon. Sundays off. Visitors help with planting, transplanting, weeding, spreading hay and wood chip mulch, hauling, fertilizing, harvesting, making biodynamic preps, building and maintaining hugelkultures, clearing of brush, stacking of wood logs, roto-tilling, taking care of chickens, building fences, pathways, ponds, compost boxes, other building projects, etc. ...

Hello, I am looking for some help with gardening and house maintenance, preferably someone with a bit of gardening know-how to help control (in a wild way) a medium size garden Also help with dog walking and possibly pet sitting for short periods. Bit of strimming and mowing, and some weeding. Renovation of window frames and painting when weather allows. Trying to grow veg as much as possible, but not easy up here.(lots of rabbits and deer) Indoors --- well could do with a bit of organizing! Also some help with the bigger cleaning jobs, like the vast windows! I am living in the middle of Dartmoor National Park which is a great place for walking and scenery, and one of the last remaining wilderness areas in England. Person with organisational skills and sense of humour and who loves the great outdoors and the quiet would be ideal. One lovely dog and cat in the house, and the occasional guest. Please note, due to financial constraints I cannot accommodate long term helpers

Hello, I’m David! I have sold my coffee shop after 45 years in the hospitality trade, where travelling workers would once work, however I STILL offer helpers the same excellent own room lodging as homestay & great food in exchange for a little light work and some social contact. I live close the train station and bus stop and am a 30 min trip by train to Melbourne City. There is a vehicle to drive locally if are appropriately licensed. You are welcome to use it. I go to the outback in western New South Wales about 3 times a year for the purpose of experiencing the beautiful "timeless land" of Australia and to legally hunt feral animals which endanger our wildlife. I often take workers to the outback so they can have a taste of the real Australia and I can assure that none of the numerous helpers/woofers I have taken over a many year period did not thoroughly enjoy it. . However the choice is theirs whether they accompany myself or whether they stay and "mind the house" I also oft...

Hi, I'm Steve, I am a retired old fart at 65 and live alone, except for regular travelers I host. I live close the Strand (Beach) in Townsville in a 2 bedroom unit. I can offer you a king size bed in your own room. I used to be an active couchsurfing host but have given that away as i don't like the changes they have made to the way they operate now, nor the quality of surfers. I'm pretty open minded and I don't judge people. There is no work required here, just help keep the place clean and tidy. I prefer to share the evening meals as though it is your own home. I don't operate my home as a hostel and I am used to having people in my home, and it's a fairly relaxed environment. Basically I would just like you to come into my home and be a part of it and don't shit on the floor. The last few Helpers have become flatmates after a couple of weeks. The current helper has been here for 6 months and starts travelling very soon. The one before her was here 2 years. I am looking for a suita...

Along with teaching, my number one passion is backpacking and have travelled to over 100 countries and prefer being on the road less travelled, followed closely by volunteering which I have don...

I have been doing silent meditation for about 5-6 years now and plan to do 4 more years during which I choose not to speak, communicate through text messages or signs, eat a vegetarian diet with no salt mainly consisting of our own cow milk, yogurt, roti/chapati and boiled potatoes. My family started this farm in 1991 with the dream of being o...

We are looking for helpers from the beginning of August and have space for up to five people. We have three small cabins, two with double beds and one with a single bed so room for up to five helpers. All the helpers share a kitchen and bathroom. At the moment we need help with some building work so preference will be given to people who already have some skills with tools.. We are a great place to start or end your time in New Zealand as we are only 45 minutes drive from Auckland airport. The work will be varied and interesting but usually building and garden based. It could include finishing off an underground earth bag hobbit hole. We have a passion for earth building and organic gardening.
