About us: We are a family with two boys (13 and 11 years old) and we live in a small village near the little town of Dannenberg in northern Germany. Our home is a big old farmhouse with a pretty big garden, beautiful and with a lot of opportunities. We have chickens, geese and about 200 sheep. We recently added a few Dexter cows to our farm. We grow some vegetables for our own needs. All this means, that there is always plenty of work for any skill level. We both are freelancers, Lisbeth works mostly in the home-office (teaching and translation), Hans Christian works at different sites and is away frequently during the weekdays. We can use help with the animals, the garden, the renovation work of the house and the other buildings, with chopping and stacking fire-wood, with washing and sorting wool and with our small farming activities in general. We also expect you to help with the every day household tasks. If you like to cook from time to time, you are very welcome. There are many...

Welcome to the North East corner of Scotland! And welcome to a quiet vegetarian smallholding on a journey towards self sufficiency! My name's Kris, I have been hosting now for many years and have enjoyed the help and presence of like-minded people from around the world. Many friendships have been formed and from the feedback I have received, it's been a good life experience for the people who have stayed. It is a beautiful and quiet place It's important to me that it is the right place for you so I’ll give you a detailed description so you can decide. When you write, I'm happy for you to tell me about your skills, but it's much more important for me to know why this experience appeals to you. If you write to me personally, I promise I'll reply! I have lived here now for more than 20 years, I raised my son here and have had many couch surfers and helpxers passing through. Now I live alone here, although not completely isolated as neighbours and friends drop by! There is the main co...

We are both retired and live in a converted barn in about two acres of land. The nearest town is Villefranche de Rouergue which is ten kilometres away. We have lived in France long enough to appreciate what we call proper food so. we strive to vary the diet so that no main meal is repeated for at least 14 days (unless specially requested) It may be French, it may be British, or it may be a mixture of French and British and on occasions you will taste the local delicacies We are very flexible about working hours all we ask is that in return for five hours work per day, five days a week, at a time to suit yourself, we will provide you with good healthy tasty food and a private comfortable room which has TV and en-suite facilities, If you are a couple who wish complete privacy, we could provide you with a separate self-contained apartment. Must be non-smoker and we find that feeding vegans is difficult. Please note. If you want to practice your English, then we are your ideal hosts a...

Hello, my partner John & I, have had a wonderful time sharing our home with volunteers. We now have a vacancy in mid March. short or longer stays are welcome. We live as a family & enjoy many things together, with our volunteers, many of whom have become lasting friends. We live in a 4 bed modern dormer bungalow, in a beautiful village, with a shop & bus stop 3 minutes walk from the house. We live with my father, who is 89 years old and has moderate memory loss. My father is calm & relaxed. My father does like to have volunteers there, to watch television with him, so that he’s not alone & he enjoys helping volunteers improve their English pronunciation. Volunteers are also welcome to work on their laptops, while sitting with my father, he’s used to that & still enjoys their company, I also need help with keeping the house clean & simple vegetarian cooking. We enjoy sharing simple, international food with our volunteers & have plenty of vegetarian cooking books, for id...

We are a small-scale, organic vegetable farm in Palmer, Alaska. We grow an array of beautiful produce which includes carrots, tomatoes, strawberries, zucchini, brussel sprouts, romanesco, broccoli, potatoes, rhubarb, onions, beets, and many more. All of the vegetables we sell at local farmers markets are grown by us and are free of pesticides, GMOs, and chemicals. We not only believe that people should feel connected to their food, but we also feel that it should be delicious, healthy, and accessible. Work on the farm varies by season. In the Spring we spend our time prepping the field, sewing seeds, growing transplants, cultivating those seeds in the field, weeding, and watering. As we move into summer and fall helpers will have the opportunity to harvest and sell the fruits and vegetables that have been growing the past few months at the local farmers’ markets.

A beach front section. Kayaking, body boarding, swimming and fishing available for guests. Accommodation and meals provided in exchange for four hours work a day. Gardening, housework, general household maintenance and painting could be requested. My preference is for people to stay a week. Taupo Bay is quite a small community and no public transport is available so it is often easier to have your own transport. Certainly not essential as arrangements can be made for collection and support to get to your next destination. I can collect people from the end of the Taupo Bay road or Mangonui. Many thanks for looking. Fran

A room is available for your homestay. Because of the help I would like to ask, mature ladies who have enough experience/knowledge of handling house holding chores and cooking are welcome. No problem if you cannot cook Japanese dishes. Vegetarian is welcome only from summer to autumn. It's easy to talk about next step of your homestay if how long from when, how you can help, what you want to do during homestay in addition to help works are written in your request. I will reply to only applicants who read my profile and understand/satisfy requirements. I'm a 67 years old male living alone and have a small private organic vegetable garden. I am happy if someone can help me to maintain vegetable garden and household chores including cooking. I also can enjoy helping my guest to learn Japanese language. We can visit at sightseeing places/aesthetic landscape when we have free time. At the same time, I'm interested to hear your stories about helpx and learn foreign languages as well ...

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON Not much work to do here now, so I mostly only take 1 person at a time You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. We live in a beautiful part of the world between the beach and Margaret River town. We live on a farm with multi- generational families, we work towards a lot of self sufficiency and we work off the farm also. Our interests include music and wellbeing. The Margaret River community is vibrant and has many activities on offer. Our family welcomes cross-cultural experience. We like our Helpxers to be happy; we offer clean, comfortable, private caravan accommodation. Tasks are dependent on helpxer skills, farm, family and home requirements (such as whipper snipping, gardening, wood splitting, domestic tasks, artistic skills and painting). Having a car is necessary as there is no public transport. We ask for 1 hour work a day (couple) and 1.5 hours work a day (single) which means that helpxers can get work off the farm, if you like. Kind regards :) Sabine, Tony and Family

This is an exciting opportunity to have an experience that will stay with you throughout your life. Our Foundation aims at helping rural children receive a qualitative outstanding education. We have a volunteer teaching program to assist rural teachers and children get exposure to foreign languages and cultures. Because English is the second language in Thai schools, we concentrate on improving the English language skills of both rural teachers and children. At present, we aim to help 4 public elementary schools (grades 1 - 6) close to Chiang Mai. We are currently taking applications for volunteers who would available to start in Mid-May 2026. We are looking for volunteers to teach English only and are available to stay at least eight weeks. Couples are welcome as well. NOTE: We do not charge volunteers any fees for staying with us. UPDATE: NEXT VACANCY.... May 2026 Minimum stay 3 weeks I'm also hoping to do a bit of travelling this year, so in addition to the usual stays, reliable house sitters would also be very welcome. (if I'm away there's room for 2). Horse and / or garden help welcomed. In the garden it's a matter of clearing, tidying and a bit of pruning. I've had a series of really excellent helpers, so if you think you're in that category, especially in terms of horse skills, then please get in touch. If you'd appreciate some rural time, away from the rat race, maybe this could be for you! However, you are also welcome to join in my busy social life if you wish to. I am a retired teacher with a love of the countryside, my animals, wildlife, cycling, art, music and dancing. We live on a small hill farm in the beautiful county Wicklow known as the garden of Ireland. We are a family of four. Becky and Kilian and our daughters Zoe (11) and Bea (8). Fiona (18) is also staying with us this year as an au-pair. We are quite remote so it is very serene and peaceful and the view is amazing. We speak English and German as well as French. We farm organically and have 15 free range organic pigs as well as 2 horses and 5 cats. We also have a poly tunnel and farm garden where we grow vegetables for our own use. Becky works from home and Kilian when he is not farming, has an additional part time job which calls him away on projects from time to time. We live 1km outside a little village called Redcross. It has a pub that brews its own beers and there is also a restaurant, snack bar and shop. We are 20 minutes to drive from a town called Arklow which is on the sea and there is normally a chance to get a lift in but it’s only a 1 hour cycle. Wicklow is a cool part of t...

We are an operating farm. Mostly silviculture. We farm mostly trees. We are situated in one of the largest Cork Tree areas in the world.Mediterranean forest ecoystems are considered one of the most important ecosystems right after Virgin Forests. We also have lots of pine trees both for lumber and also for pine nuts. Cork and pine nut trees are a very sustainable resource as their lifespan is over 200 years and they produce cork and pine nuts during that time. We pride ourselves for being an environmentally responsible farm and we enjoy teaching volunteers and visitors about what we do. We are a Forest Stewardship Council certified farm. Kia Ora. I run an Angora goat farm just outside Oxford in North Canterbury. I have 180 very cute goats which I shear for fibre twice per year. I also run smaller numbers of sheep. I farm in a sustainable way and have been trialling some regenerative agricultural practices. I am a keen outdoors person, love walking and climbing and often take helpers tramping, sightseeing, rock climbing or even rafting! I am looking for helpers from the beginning of April 2026 and on into May. Jobs include farm work, gardening, housekeeping, servicing and cleaning my AirBnB and learning about our farming systems. You would have your own room and receive all your food in return for 4-5 hours work per day. Those are the typical Helpx conditions. There are usually other Helpxers at the farm and we work, eat and live as a family , sharing housework and cooking tasks. I look forward to welcoming you to the farm!

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather.

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. Please note, we cannot host anyone with any pre existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions). We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our doorstep, hiking trails through the mountains and forests, cycling paths, and skiing in the...

Hi, I’m Jo and I’ve created a small urban food forest in Coromandel town, based on permaculture principles. I’m looking for someone to stay for a few days (usually 3–5 at a time) to help in the garden and around the house. Tasks might include general food forest maintenance, light gardening, window cleaning and general housework. The exact length of stay will depend on how things are going and whether it feels like a good fit for both of us. I live in a small house and you’ll have your own bedroom with a king single bed. We share the bathroom and toilet. The house is right in Coromandel town, walking distance to shops and just a few minutes’ drive to the beach. In exchange for around 4 hours of help per day, I offer good food, a relaxed environment and friendly company. I share my home with a small dog, a cat, four chickens, two budgies and a turquoise parrot, so animal lovers are very welcome. Looking forward to meeting you, Jo

My wife Dana and I Oliver live with our 3 of our 4 kids, Lea(13), Ronja(7) and Alva(5), on an old farm, that we have bought in 2020, in a small village at the edge of the wester forest 25km outside Bonn. When we bought the farm it was in a rather poor condition and it took us about 2 years to renovate the house using alternative building materials as wood wool or clay as much as possible. The house we have more or less finished but the rest of the farm still needs same attention. The idea is to create a place where human can live in harmony with and from nature. Currently we have about 40 Galloway’s, 5 horses, 6 sheep, 1 dog, 3 cats, a docent chicken, 2 bee colonies and a small vegetable garden. We hope one day we will produce egnough so that the farm feeds us and the people living with us but to get there it is still a long way. When I was younger I travelled a lot. The biggest trip was a two years motorbike tour from Germany to New Zealand. But also spend some time in Africa as wel...

Hi, we are a family that lives in the south of Italy in the beautiful region of Puglia; in the countryside but not too far from the sea. We have a family-run business in the Cisternino countryside, with holiday homes for tourists, riding stables and recreational activities. Looking for a person who can help in various activities; really interested in the life of the campaign and learning different tasks such as: carpentry, wrought iron, construction, painting, maintenance of the garden and agriculture, but also request for help in the relationship and management of tourists who stay with us. Excellent opportunity for those looking for complete experiences in the field of crafts and tourism and in the relationship with nature and animals. Having 4 children already, we only look for completely independent and flexible people. Musicians and artists in general are welcome (Juan the owner is also a musician). There is a chance to learn how to work wood and iron and many other things. It's ...

Gardening, housework, general household maintenance and painting could be requested. My preference is for people to stay a week. Certainly not essential as arrangements can be made for collection and support to get to your next destination. I can collect people from the end of the Taupo Bay road or Mangonui.

A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town, which is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay. Two hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around. There is a mountain on my farm wit...

The generous gift of your time and dedication is all the donation we will ask of you. We provide the volunteers lodging and meals in return for the...

I live in the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds in a tiny cottage, in the hamlet of Miningsby on the Revesby Estate. It's very rural and rather isolated. No shops within walking distance, but with pretty market towns just 10 minutes' dr...

Looking for help now in spring, March-April-May :-) Looking for help at my nice guesthouse and seaside home at the Vesterålen islands. As spring is now starting I am looking for helpers to come and join me to move into new rooms, decorate and make it all nice both inside and outdoors. It is now time for painting, tidying after my last building project, start preparing my neglected garden for summer, creating nice and welcoming outdoor places and alot more. This place is both my home and my summer time guesthouse created at my grandparents and great grandparents home and work place . My aim is to take care of the history and the unique historical buildings, and share this place through my guesthouse. Staying here you will get a little piece of North Norwegian cultural heritage and the "real life" of this beautiful nature area with its wildlife, mountains and ocean. There is alot to explore on your free time, especially for those who like nature, mountains, ocean and breathtaking view...
