We have a beautiful 6 hectare property in a really awesome valley. We have animals, a stream, lots of things growing. We have a large 3 bedroom house. We have a warm modern caravan for helpers to sleep in and all the other amenities are in the house. We have 3 awesome kids (only two live at home) and a great family vibe. We need help with working the land and making it as productive as we can. We need people who are hard working and take initiative. Prior experience is great but if you are a fast learner and up for a challenge then that is great too. A love of animals is definitely helpful as well. Our farm is in a remote and magical scenic area of the outer Marlborough Sounds. We have a number of cattle and their calves, hens, our dog Trixie, our cat Elmo, 2 friendly pet sheep, Ivan and Mavis. There are always interesting things that need attending to on the farm and in our vegetable garden. We have many areas of garden and regenerating native bush. Plenty of variety on the projects. We live on an alternative lifestyle block with "off grid", barn living. On the property we have a small organic banana farm which uses permaculture design principles and composted food waste from City to Farm — an initiative that gathers food scraps from urban areas and delivers them to nearby farms. We have horses, dogs, chickens, and graze cattle regeneratively. For accommodation we have a big barn space which can house a lot of people comfortably. Currently one young kiwi staying there. Where possible we grow and eat our own fruit and veges from our vege garden and our small grove of fruit trees. Frank and I will once again be ready to meet new helpers after March 15 My husband and I live in a rural area but only 15 minutes by car from downtown Victoria. I have a large flower garden and I have put in a raised vegetable garden. I would like help in my garden as well as yard maintenance. I also like to work a lot in my son’s large flower garden and would enjoy having you work alongside me. There are also small painting projects both inside and out. We are looking for helpers to stay 5-10 days. This is a lovely area if you enjoy hiking and the outdoors. We have hiking trails that lead off our road. Hello, my name is Florent, I'm 45 years old, I was a chef for about twenty years, and since 2017 I've been a spirulina producer. Spirulina is a microalga that's very rich in nutrients. It's a very environmentally friendly crop, requiring little energy and no pesticides. Spirulina needs sun and warmth to grow. The harvest season in our region runs from April to October, and it's during this period that I'm interested in hosting someone (I don't need two people at the same time, one is enough). Normally, I already have people helping me until the end of august, so I'm looking for someone from beginning of september.
