Currently accepting helpers for the 2026 farming season! We have space for July onwards! ***Please read the reviews below for an insight into what it’s really like!!!!*** More about what we do: We grow rice, cherries, apples, peaches, corn, pumpkins, cucumbers and soy-beans on our farm here in Murayama-Shi in the middle of the very beautiful Yamagata Prefecture in the north part of Japan. We grow a premium rice without chemicals and more labour intensive traditional methods which we sell direct to the customer. Our orchards unfortunately are not organic, but we are researching ways to substitute natural sprays. We have also opened a guesthouse and a mochi restaurant! We are a big (crazy) family: 3 generations, 9 people plus some local staff! Apart from my wife and I, my family only speaks Japanese! Everyone is very friendly, but you will definitely need a sense of humour, patience and a willingness to try to communicate. You would eat with the family (traditional Japanese food - s...

Looking for a lovely volunteer to join us and our animals. AVAILABILITY FROM the middle of May. Please contact us if you are interested in helping look after our wonderful animals. Experience with horses is useful but not necessary as long as you are happy to care for them. You will live as part of the family - during your stay, our home will be your home. We are a married couple living on a property with our DOGS, HORSES and some elderly but treasured chickens. Depending on the time of year, we also run a small scale rescue and rehabilitation centre for hedgehogs. There are stunning views looking out over a Devon Wildlife Nature Reserve and beautiful countryside. We live in a very attractive rural area of Devon on the outskirts of a beautiful old village called DOLTON (please look on "Google Earth") about a 45 minute drive from Dartmoor National Park. The village has a very friendly and active community, a church, 2 excellent traditional pubs, a post office and a small shop AND ex...

2 Small farms turned into the one near the West Coast of Clare. We keep lots of farm animals like cattle, horses, donkeys and sheep. We produce a wide range of vegetables for ourselves and some for selling. We have two children, went to primary Steiner/ Waldorf school; Frank (25) and Fina(21) and they love having volunteers around the place. Fina is doing equine studies and Frank studies horticulture and loves travelling. We hope you have the ability to adapt to our for most of you different and simple life-style and enjoy farmwork with irregular hours at times, and you will get a true sense of farming life-style! It is important to realise beforehand that you are a volunteer who gets the opportunity to join into our family home/life so please do not compare with a regular paid job.. Most important is that you are happy and enjoy your stay with us... We offer healthy food, wonderful sunsets and rainbows, some Irish traditional music, and the possibility to learn more about old style f...

My farm, located near Kaniva, is a commercial agricultural enterprise in the Wimmera region of western Victoria (midway between Melbourne and Adelaide). It has been owned by my family for more than 130 years. In 2006 I purchased the major portion of the productive land from the family Estate, and now annually crops nearly 425ha to spring wheat, barley, oats, field beans and canola. I am fully responsible for the management and on-going development of the farm, with a "share-farmer" undertaking many of the farm labour components. I do not have enough work to keep you busy long-term, but I certainly have enough for 3-5 days. The deal I am offering is that you help me with general farm chores (e.g. burning up heaps of branches, some fencing repairs, cleaning up branches under trees, caring for my lawns and garden, cutting up firewood, planting farm trees, etc) and I provide free meals and accommodation and a modest hourly payment. Depending on the day/weather we would work for 4-5 ho...

Our hostel, camping site, canoe and bicycle rental is 30 km from Prague, reachable by the train that goes through the nearby village, a beautiful area of the Czech Republic, surrounded by forests, the Sazava river, historic sites, cycle and hiking trails and nature. We are looking for people who can help us with common work around the place; like housekeeping, helping in the kitchen, cutting grass, painting and general maintenance etc. I invite people who are independent, enjoy nature, are happy to do whatever is needed around the place, can pitch in together and be flexible with work hours and tasks. I prefer people to stay for 1 month or longer, but sometimes a short stay is ok, contact me to find out. We offer a relaxed environment, flexible work hours with lots of time to swim in the river that is on our doorstep, ride our bikes on the Prague to Vienna cycle trail running past our centre, walk in the surrounding forest, visit the nearby ancient castles and monasteries, or rela...

Preference will be given to helpers with a genuine interest in learning about NZ dairy farming and animal husbandry. We love sharing what we do and prefer to host helpers with a desire to learn. We run a boutique dairy farm, milking a small herd of much loved cows and selling raw milk to our wonderful customers Starting a new business is hard work and not for the faint-hearted. If you consider yourself up for the challenge of helping us, we'd love to hear from you! We offer a family environment with opportunities for farm work, housework, gardening and cooking. There is a wide variety of work available. Working with the animals of course, weed control, plus fencing work, painting, carpentry, building and lots of different small tasks to complete. If outdoor work doesn't appeal, help in the house with cooking and cleaning is always appreciated, and the large and previously neglected garden also requires a lot of work. We try to fit the work to each helper's skills and interests, and ...

Hobbits are "little people" with big hearts and big bare feet firmly connected with mother earth. They habitually live "under the radar" of some PC embellished society and try all their best to not succumb to the madness of it. Claiming their birth right to nature's abundance, love, beauty and endless creativity they naturally make up to and make do with the lack of gold caused by the greedy child-eating dragon behind the bare stone mountains.. Hi, my name is Marianne. I live on a classic New Zealand all-day sunny "tree quarter acre of hobbit shire" looking down to Oamaru. If you arrive early enough at my kitchen window or even up on the jungle hill behind the cottage, you can see the sea and watch the sunrise. A 10 minute stroll down Eden Street gets you either to the CBD or to the shoreline. I am providing three basic meals per day as well as a comfortable and quiet room for your stay and to relax after our daily four hours of working together "out there", somewhere on some befitt...

Hey! We (45 m, 37 f) started this project after years of traveling, incl. EVS/EFD, WWOOF, We also couch-surfed and hitch-hiked, and we caught the spirit of the eco-villages! Our main interests are tree nursery, seasonal grazing/regenerative agro-forestry, permaculture gardening, … and a good time (in case there is no mutual love with our dogs, we will keep them out of your zone) We’re making progress in remodeling the old farm house sustainable for the new times, still it’s Pioneer stage, so we welcome brave people! Hippies welcome! Permies more than welcome! We hosted a handful of volunteers via another platform before, and we are also learning from the experience and exchanges. Before that, we had dozens of couch-surfers in town over 2 decades. This is a (0.9 ha) Permaculture Farm, meant to produce food for 3-5 adults while conserving and raising bio-diversity (wild flowers, insects, fungi, animals, …), we are enthusiastic about Syntropic Agro-Forestry, and we like to share our ...

Just 10 minutes from Lismore and 5 mins from the Northern Rivers Rail Trail, our elevated, 9 hectare property at Rock Valley, is also within easy reach of the Border Ranges National Park and the coast. The farm is our long-term project to improve local biodiversity, and supports a growing population of amazing native wildlife. We share an interest in landcare, creative arts and community with a network of nearby friends, experienced in bush regeneration and propagation. We are very grateful for any help but most of all love the opportunity to share others' skills and experience, and having time to get acquainted. The workload is variable depending on the weather and season, but generally fun, and usually followed by morning tea. Accommodation is a fully restored, air-conditioned cottage, located 50 metres from the main house.

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. PLEASE NOTE WELL: we absolutely cannot host anyone with any pre-existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions), such as hay fever, any other allergies, sensitivities or intolerances. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. I would be very happy to welcome volunteer teachers who are willing to help at my school for two or three months, or even for a full semester. *I want the volunteers who work at my school to not feel like they are working. Instead, I want them to feel that they are enjoying themselves and having a holiday while staying with us. Their room is fully equipped with air conditioning, hot showers, and a spacious private room that is separate from the main house, so they can feel comfortable and relaxed during their stay.* My name is Edison I have a wife, her name is Nofi. I also have two children, Ochta (32 years old) and Fadlil (12 years old). Ochta can speak English. I run a private English school for children between the ages of 7 and 19 in the small town of Batusangkar, West Sumatra. Accommodation is in the “blueberry cottage,' a self-contained flat that is across the lawn from our house. It has two bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen/dining room, computer and wifi. I stock the kitchen with good ingredients and between those and the orchard goodies you assemble your own breakfast. We start at 830 and work for four hours. I make a big lunch at the house for everyone (lots of home made bread and cakes) and the afternoons/evenings are your own. I'll keep the larder stocked with whatever food you like, we don't eat much meat but can supply it. We have bikes for your use and are surrounded by wineries, or there's always a shady tree to nap under. Warning we do have insects, and in the summer picking time can't take helpers who are colourblind. For ease of booking we'd prefer if you can plan on coming and going on Mondays, one week minimum stay. We are a ten minute walk from the bus stop. Here's a little video on us, bit dated now but it'll give you the idea https://ww...

Sorry folks, but we are now fully booked until the beginning of September 2026. There may be a cancellation, but these are very rare, but if you are in the area, reach out, we love to chat :) As well as the normal homesteading tasks, if you want to learn about wine making, bee keeping, self defense, jewellery making, or help Tony with his self defense book and video courses, we could be a great match. Have a think, take a look at our reviews and if you are interested, drop us a line, *** Our beautiful countryside homestead (only 5 acres so not really a farm) is in the mountainous hills above the historic castle town of Caccamo, Sicily. It is surrounded scraggy mountains and long valley walks. It is perfect for hiking or just relaxing in the sun with a good book. Within easy traveling distance for those interested in exploring this culturally rich island, is the seaside town of Cefalù or even the main capital city of Palermo, both are easily accessible by bus and train from the lo...

Starting in March I look for a long stay helper if possible. Send inquiry as soon as possible. I can fit in shorter stays sometimes. Thanks Welcome to Olympia, the capital city of Washington state at the waters edge of Puget Sound, about 1 hour from Seattle and 1.45 to Portland Oregon. Hi I'm Talitha your hostess. My home is a remodeled old dairy farm house located in the city yet placed at the entrance to a wonderful 22 acre nature park where the cows once roamed. I am sure you will enjoy your walks or runs through the meadow trails into old growth trees. You will feel like you are in the country when actually you are a half block to the free city bus line and an easy 20 minute walk to downtown by the Bay... or just a five minute drive to local restaurants and farmers market. There is a cool little bakery a short walk through the nature park trail with a lovely garden to enjoy your treats and coffee.. A few things about me... I try and stay up on global events and have a love for...

Welcome! Our family owned and operated certified organic livestock farm in North Central British Columbia is excited to have you stay and become a part of everything we have going on. We’ve been operating since 2008, primarily raising Berkshire pigs, Dexter cattle, Katahdin sheep, laying hens, broiler chickens and of course bronze breasted turkeys for thanksgiving and Christmas. On top of that, we’re home to two Labrador retrievers (Ned and Nelly), 3 outdoor cats, 2 guard alpacas and a family of Muscovy ducks. In other words, you will never find yourself not in the company of animals! Aside from livestock, we have recently built a small farm store / café that cooks the meat raised on the farm. We also take pride in creating all recipes from scratch, from the sauces to the buns of the burgers. Currently only operating during the summer months, 3 days per week. It’s been a lot of work, but a great way to get more people out to the farm, eating good food and connecting with the community...

Permaculture project with idea and space to create an eco-village. The quinta is located in Alto Alentejo 2km from Portalegre. 15 hectares with magical forests and a beautiful valley provided by seventeen sources and several mines with healthy water where too people live permanently for the moment,Isabel, a communication manager and Michel, a carpenter who is the founder of the project. There is also one dog, five cats, for chickens and six sheep. The project is now in the phase when it’s open so that more people can live here. Because parts of the ruins are ready for occupancy, there is space for people who want to stay longer, which can bring new and stronger dynamics throughout the year, not like before, when there was only a lot going on in the summer months. So far there is already a beautiful gardens going on and numerous species of plants, shrubs and trees which deliver us plenty of food. We are happy when someone shows enthusiasm for the garden because this is a central part...

Work will be starting in April and continue through the summer and fall. We would like help inside and outside and with plenty of gardening and watering of the garden. Outdoor work includes keeping the gardens tidy, cutting and trimming of trees and mowing the lawn. My name is Esperanza, I run a language school. I'm looking for an easy going native English speaker to help us with conversation classes and different activities. It is a great educational project where we aim to develop students interest in the language in a natural way. We live in a nice area surrounded by mountains, our house is big , so we recently started an online rental program to meet new people from all over the world. The language school is 8 minutes away on foot from our house. I live with my son, Mikel, who is a university student. While you stay with us, you will be able to take part in lots of activities. Zalla is a town with lots of facilities where you can do nearly everything you can imagine. If you are interested in learning Spanish, we will be more than happy to help you! I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

We have an organic farm at Oldcastle where we host Wwoofers too. There we have lots of different roles from house keeping to vegetable gardening, foraging, admin, cooking, animal husbandry, sewing carpentry building work etc. Tasks vary and very much depend on ability and skill sets At our location in Dunshauglin we are only looking for help with housework cleaning and childcare and sometimes gardening. We ask for 5 hours 5 days a week. Accommodation in Dunshauglin is in a comfortable apartment beside our home while in Oldcastle it’s in mobile homes. I have started to use Helpx to supplement Wwoofing as we try to have a greater mix of volunteers. Here I’m looking for candidates who have (ideally)been out in the world a while, who are taking a break or are looking for a change. We have had great success with people on career breaks in the past - as an example. Accommodation in Oldcastle is in 2 mobile homes that have a wood fired heating system - this may not suit everyone so a gen...

Hello. I’m Paolo, a recently retired musician. I live in a mountain area made of rounded, wooded peaks in the inland of the Italian Riviera, at the point of connection between two regions, Tuscany and Liguria, widely renown for art towns (Pisa, Lucca, Florence among others) and picturesque fishing villages. It’s a quiet setting to get away from it all, with a 360 degree view stretching for tens of miles and right down to the Mediterranean Sea, only 25 km/15 miles away. Here is where the Alta Via (High Route of the Ligurian Mountains) starts, a long-distance waymarked hiking trail for nature lovers. I speak Italian (native), English (fluent) and French (fluent). I’m looking for volunteers who are self-motivated and good with their hands, willing to help me with general maintenance around my property in exchange for food and lodging in a friendly environment. I appreciate a baggage of life experience that is not too small, so volunteers in their mid to late twenties at least and in t...

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) Cheers Al

I would be very happy to welcome volunteer teachers who are willing to help at my school for two or three months, or even for a full semester. *I want the volunteers who work at my school to not feel like they are working.

So far there is already a beautiful gardens going on and numerous species of plants, shrubs and trees which deliver us plenty of food. ,Hello, I'm Margherita , 61 years old, I live in Sicily, near Etna vulcano and Taormina, in a lemon Grove in front of the Jonian sea with my family . I Need volunteers ( better if you travel with your car) wo have experience in Building, Carpentry, Fixing ,Idraulic, Painting (metal fences, windows), Who love and have experiences with dogs, and cleanings and gardening. It Is not a community or an ecological project. I live here with My children and work in My Feldenkrais and Dancetheatre studio and traditional dance and tambourine class . This Is an Independent hospitality for people that like to be helpful and have a lot of free time to rest Because I'm very busy I prefer couples, and not single volunteers, that can organize your free time independently Or It could be pleasant for volunteers that Need to stay alone to concentrate (write a book, walk, work on internet ,make photos, read books, study ecc) Usually we meet in worktime , I bring you to the supermarket and sometimes it's ...

Hello, and thank you for looking at our page/profile! We are looking for a helper (1 person) during springtime ( 2026 ) for a 2 week period but that can be further negotiated. Work will be starting in April and continue through the summer and fall. We would like help inside and outside and with plenty of gardening and watering of the garden. Outdoor work includes keeping the gardens tidy, cutting and trimming of trees and mowing the lawn. Also the helper must be able to lift and haul fireplace wood and (ideally) know the use of a chain saw but not necessary. All of this work we do together. Further work includes simple window washing, exterior window and door painting. Saturday house cleaning, gardening, pool cleaning, ironing sheets for the rentals, etc. We are chefs from New York City so we offer great food and comfortable accommodation though we do not do cooking classes to our helpx friends. In the summer time when weather permits, you have a deluxe caravan for your home. You ...

I have only recently moved back to the Farm. I grew up on this farm but has been away for a number of years and things need doing to get it back how I like it. I spend some time off farm but are flexible about work hours and/or pay. Work will be varied depending on skills but could include gardening, housework, maintenance around the farm, working with sheep or beef cattle or driving tractors. Crops raised include Wheat, Peas, Ryegrass Seed & Vegetable Seed crops. The farm also runs some Sheep & Cattle. Our helpers almost always leave with new skills which often include operating Quad Bikes and Tractors. At certain times of the year I can find paid work for you. I am easy going & well travelled, I like to enjoy life.I'm also a Couch Surfer host and like to meet people from elsewhere in the world. Interests include Mountain Biking, Fishing, Gardening, Self Sufficiency, Music, Travel, Camping & Hiking. The farm is close to Ashburton (8km) which has all services. Rivers, Recrea...

We live 20 minutes from Bilbao in a lovely town called Zalla. There is a good bus/train service to Bilbao. Volunteers also can visit, Santander, San Sebastian, Burgos, Pamplona either of these ci...

Read our feedback, you will be convinced!! Join us for an unforgettable stay onboard Kiwi Logic, our 15 metre mono hull sailing yacht in the beautiful Whangarei Heads area. We have several projects on the go at present which include converting an old 12m ferry into a houseboat, gardening and painting of a house. Please note this position is not about going sailing, but living on our yacht in a beautiful anchorage and performing tasks on projects. In our spare time we can take you diving, surfing, bbq etc. Be assured that when targets are met we will do our absolute best to reward those who help us out! We also have stunning walks immediately nearby. About Us: We are Katrin & Daman a German/Kiwi couple, passionate sailors and when we're not working on projects we like to escape on exciting voyages from Whangarei to some of Northlands best cruising destinations.. We love free diving/spearfishing, scuba, surfing and most other activities involving water and the great outdoors in general....
