Ipswich is a lovely place in itself and is about an hours drive to Brisbane, about an hour to the Gold Coast, about an hour and a half to the Sunshine Coast or about an hour to the mountains in Toowoomba. Many visitors to Australia assume it will be hot here and in summer it is, in winter the temperature can be very cold. Make sure to pack some warm winter clothing if travelling in the winter months. I don't have fans or air conditioning so the temperature is what it is. It's hot in summer and cold in winter. Electricity has become too expensive for me to run appliances. Our family runs a western riding facility with 30 stalls, where we provide horse boarding and training, including reining and cow work. We also have a western saloon, where we host weddings, special events, and are open for our club members on weekends. We are living on a 200 hectare farm in Rollands Plains. Located on the mid north coast, surrounded by hills and valleys, great for bushwalking and exploring if that's what you`re into. We are predominantly an arable farm growing a large amount of garlic. Seasonally, we also grow egg plant, rhubarb, ginger, turmeric, pumpkin, yukon, artichoke, cucumber and corn, and whatever else we can put in the ground. All of our grown produce is certified organic. We do not use any sprays or pesticides. We also keep livestock. A herd of cattle, pigs, sheep and goats as well as chickens, ducks and guinea fowl.
