Hello, I live in the beautiful Charente region 16140, and am looking for help with all sorts of jobs, from feeding the donkeys and other animals to painting and helping in the garden 😊 I am slowly bringing this lovely old château back to life after being empty and abandoned for many years. I enjoy growing my own organic vegetables and looking after my animals. I recently planted an orchard and have lots of other projects I'd love your help with. In the past I've shared some wonderful times with helpers, many of whom remain friends and have visited several times. In return I offer a comfortable bedroom in the chateau with 3 meals a day, and cooked as much as possible with our fresh produce. I would like your help for 5 hours a day with weekends off. There is lots to explore like little villages and towns and the river. The coast is about an hour's drive away. The Charente river is at the bottom of the garden and there are some lovely walks right outside the door, there are also b...

Hola todas! My place is an old grain mill with half a hectare of land. I live here for more than 17 years and hosted many volunteers. Work is mostly in the garden. Weeding, digging, planting, watering, harvesting and off course eating. There is a big cat family living on the land. Help in the kitchen is welcome. Special dietary requirements must be met by the helpers. In the area there are many activities possible. More yoga teachers than there are yoga students. Meditations, dancing, healing, massage, channeling, singing,....! Many communities of all sorts (hippy, midwives, subud, soefie). Hiking in all directions. Even skiing starting beginning of December. I try to keep a healthy environment, so no drugs that cloud your spirit. No dogs either. People mostly stay between one and two weeks. Work is about 5 days a week, 4 hours a day. Food and lodging included. Flexible. Work depends on peoples abilities. During summer months (June until September) I don't host because of high te...

Come to the eastern part of Germany and join our life. Please read our profile in detail first before you send us a message. We are a family of 3: Kerstin (58), Carsten (58) and Christopher (31). We live in a village on an estate that was a farm in the past. The village is situated 60 km from Dresden, 100 km from Leipzig and 170 km from Berlin in a national park. We have cats that live with us, too. We invite you into our home and accept you as part of our family. We do our best to make you feel at home and appreciate any additional assistance. If you join us it will be fun, promise. Our place is for genuine travellers who want to learn more about Germany and experience staying with an East German family. It is not for those looking just for food and accommodation. Important: We often share meals together, depending on our schedules. This is not a full-board arrangement, so volunteers should be able to plan and provide their own food too. Much help is needed in and around the h...

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON Need help.with a garden clean up.at the moment. You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one rough headed ,skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town, which is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay. Two hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around. There is a mountain on my farm with lots...

Hello Potential Volunteers My name is Paul and it was my dream to change my lifestyle from being an office worker to becoming an alpaca farmer.... here we are 14 years later with 100 alpacas, each individually cherishes with names and unique personalities, plus an assortment of other animals all needing our love :) I have three children: Liam (21), Dylan (9) and Oscar (6), and our 100-acre farm is home to approx.100 alpacas, plus llamas, peacocks, hens, mini pigs, a cat named Sexy, and our farm dog Malta. This year we are expecting 20 'cria' (baby alpacas) and each one will need our help so they can thrive! We need to ensure they get colostrum (filled with antibodies and vital for good health) – have they fed from their mums within the first 24hrs? Are they then drinking enough milk from their mums every day? Are they gaining weight? The well-being of my animals is the most important thing on the farm. Do they have good food and enough water, and the best possible natural environme...

I'm on the lookout for a strong male (or two), or a couple, for a few weeks or more. (Some have stayed for much longer). I'd love to have someone, anytime from now, to help me with general garden stuff, and bits and pieces of projects. Always something new to do here. No skills is fine, just a bit of strength and willingness, but some handy-man skills would be useful too. I also would sometimes love some help with a bit of house maintenance /cleaning and brush cutting etc. I live in a beautiful silent forest valley dwelling with about an acre of garden. It's a wildlife refuge abundant with bird and wild life. It's 7-8 mins from charming Mullumbimby with it's farmers and general markets and cafe culture. Stuff for young and older 25mins, from beautiful Byron Bay and 20 from Brunswick heads, so lots of beaches and surf etc Also lots of walks. I would like someone who can speak English as there will be lots of communication involved. It's definitely best to have a car. You'll have ...

Hi folks! I'm looking for an extra set of hands during April, may and June. Between 10-20 days at a time. 😊 I'm hoping for avid gardeners or skilled DIY or both! Giving the garden a makeover, also the natural swimming pool. If the weather is rubbish we will be painting and decorating 😄 We can't accommodate children or dogs sorry. Work is varied, and will change depending on the weather. we will be giving the garden a bit of a make over. Including the natural swimming pool. Lots of plants being removed and replaced. I also run a very small camping, you can find it on instagram via link below. https://www.instagram.com/cactuslodgecamping/ There's a chance new planting could happen there too. New ideas and creativity are always welcome. 😁 Here's my usual bumf, I have a small holding consisting of olives, carobs, almonds, veg patch, pigs, and geese, and am battling to get the land, trees, under control. There is also a natural swimming pool here, which used to be a normal swim...

My husband Matthias and I, Johanna, came from Germany as backpackers in the 1980s. We met here in NZ, but our home language is German. We are a family with eight children, who we home-educated throughout their school years. Three of them are now married, and we have five grandchildren. Five of our now grown-up children are living at home - either still or again - our oldest son with his wife and 4 boys is living in our cottage, and another son with his wife and baby has moved into a smaller house on our property. A friend lives in our housetruck. So life is happening to the full! Sadly, my husband passed away in January 2024 after a short time of intense illness. We miss him much! Our lifestyle block is home to a gaggle of geese, a flock of domestic ducks, around 40 chickens, some sheep and sometimes a few young male goats, - and of course many wild birds, rabbits and the tiny creatures of fields, woods and duck-pond. An old apple, apricot and peach orchard and a young walnut grove ar...

My wife Sally, our and I are down to earth friendly Aussies, have lived here for 35 years and still haven't got around to finishing off, (nearly), our planned organic vegetable garden. We operate our small engineering and automotive repair business from home which keeps us busy, hence the need for additional help at our home on 35 hectares. After working on a communal farming project since 2016, I continue now on my own farm. I produce organic vegetables, some fruits, mermelades, infusions, seeds, and we also sell and deliver bread from another farm. I deliver food baskets weekly to 20 families, some organic shops, and sell weekly on a local market. I work on 5.000m2 vegetable garden, We also maintain some forest and fields where our 2 scottish highland cows are grazing all year round. On the farm I'm living with me partner and 2 teenagers (2007, 2011). You will be staying on a caravan really close by the house, but we take lunch together and some other meals too if we are all willing too... There is not set rules, nor requirement other then to be willing to come and be interested in working the land. Since we are partly co-living with the helpers, we prefer a minimum of 3 weeks stay, or even 1 month. The longer the best. I found it much more relaxing for everyone when we have the time to get to know each other. We als...

On May 8th I am moving to the Sydney suburb of Wollstonecraft which is 10 - 15 mins by suburban train from the centre of the city and about 10 minutes walk from both Wollstonecraft and Crows Nest stations. 15 Minutes from St Leonards station. Trains go into the city at least every 10 minutes - often more than that. At this point I am looking for one or 2 people from the 11th for a week. You could come earlier but..... I am fully vaccinated and require the same of a helper. Before you read further - I only take Non-smokers (meaning you do not smoke at all - not that you smoke outside). If I find that you do smoke you will be asked to leave that day - I (and my children when they are here) are all asthmatics. I also cannot do scents, particularly old spice, any spray on deodorant and lynx. I am allergic to mint so you cannot chew gum. Here are my boundaries: I try to be as eco friendly as possible and I ask you to consider the environment by not throwing into the bin things that can ...

Welcome! Your choice: You can exchange two hours help a day for the room only, or you can work for 4 hours a day and we provide meals. We have a private spot close to town here, and are two friendly people, a little dog, and some chickens. Our quiet and green home is in easy and pleasant walking distance of Nelson city centre. It's like being in the country. There is also a bus just steps away, if you want to get into town quickly. This is a good mix - looking after trees, garden, house and each other; making music; preserving fruit, etc We - meaning us two, Ian and Eva - love WWOOFers who enjoy what we are doing, and want to be friendly and part of the family. Eva is a Homoeopath, Ian is an Engineer, we both love to sing, eat, and share good food, and have fun with friendly woofers. The house is surrounded by green hills, with some of Nelson's best bike tracks and walks right next to us. We love cooking and sharing meals. We can talk with you in English, French or German No Smo...

Off-grid living, building and tourism. Form February it will be the projects again! There's plenty to do on the land, making this place even more beautiful than it already is. Tasks during the next months include: First we will be building 3 outside wood fired bath tubs on different spots. Then, Expanding the area for the donkeys. Creating a new water system for irrigation and grey water. Building building another shower and toilet block. There's some fencing work for a new vegetable garden and orchard and much more... The short periods that the weather is not favorable to be outside we'll be doing ton of finishing jobs inside. I am trying to vary the working days, so no one gets bored and to give you the chance of choosing which kind of work you prefer, so everyone feels comfortable with what he/she is doing. If you're looking to get some building or carpentry skills and you feel like committing yourself to a longer period I'm more than happy to transfer some of my skills...I l...

Im trying to realize my dream, devoted to permaculture and natural architecture on the 25 decare land we purchased in 2021, where there are pine forests and natural water resources, and where natural life is happily alive. My biggest dream is for my daughter and other children to grow up together in a healthy soil, poison-free tables, on a farm full of happy animals, in a community where our friends and guests contribute. We continue to take slow but beautiful steps on the path we set out with this dream, with the efforts of our friends and volunteers who contribute to us. I will be glad to see you among us I have camping tent, large tent, rv caravan, geodesic dome hause for our volunteers and guests to stay. You can also stay here with your own tents and caravans. We have a common area for shower and toilet. We can cook and eat our meals together during the day, and we will also respect your preferences. Hello! My name is Ursula, I live on a 2 hectare property with sometimes my daughters Carole and Loup, our horses, Djoura, her daughter Talissa and her friends Aïcha and Shadow, some kilometers away from Muret. The house and the garden are big and we often need extra support with the animals. The property is next to a beautiful forest, so for those who enjoy going for walks, our house is perfect for you! I have also some friends in the surrounding countryside who you might meet. Helpers with independent spirits are the happiest here but it would be great to eat together and speak in different languages. All in all the work here mostly consists in gardening, fencing, horsemanship (relations with the horses and also cleaning up after them ;-)), as well as some restoration (both inside and outside). I also became a caring family or temporary shelter for wild cats to be socialized so if you appreciate them you can help me with this chore. Of course I always appreciate those with special ...

Permaculture project with idea and space to create an eco-village. The quinta is located in Alto Alentejo 2km from Portalegre. 15 hectares with magical forests and a beautiful valley provided by seventeen sources and several mines with healthy water where too people live permanently for the moment,Isabel, a communication manager and Michel, a carpenter who is the founder of the project. There is also one dog, five cats, for chickens and six sheep. The project is now in the phase when it’s open so that more people can live here. Because parts of the ruins are ready for occupancy, there is space for people who want to stay longer, which can bring new and stronger dynamics throughout the year, not like before, when there was only a lot going on in the summer months. So far there is already a beautiful gardens going on and numerous species of plants, shrubs and trees which deliver us plenty of food. We are happy when someone shows enthusiasm for the garden because this is a central part...

Hello, we are a Christian family. Originally from the United States, we are now starting a Christian outreach and community center here in Costa Rica. We want to meet the needs of the community around us and see lives transformed. Our hearts desire is to see the Power and Love of God change this nation. Currently we are in the beginning stages of seeking help. The first volunteer we need is some one who has a good understanding of construction and can do repairs on some of the buildings on the property, laying tile, roof repairs, etc. and maybe some side help with cutting the grass. In exchange for this help, we will provide a place to live. At this time we can only commit to short term opportunities, a couple of weeks, or one to three months. However, we are hoping by God's grace and provision to one day be able to build small places for people to stay. However, our main goal is not to build buildings. We want to build the Kingdom of God. Our main desire is to reach the lost, so ...

Next available accommodation from may 1st, 2026 We have a rustic log cabin on large town block, in Littlehampton, half an hour by car from Adelaide: near the larger hub of Mount Barker. Tania is an artist (pottery, mosaics, jewellery) and runs her studio/classes from the property, Tim is a fitter/welder + there are teenagers, 2 dogs (plus fish and a turtle) and a tenant coming and going from the rear of the property. Current backpacker accommodation is a caravan with it's own fridge, kettle, electric frypan, microwave and toaster. We are renovating. We need help with the household / the garden & simple tasks to prepare for house painting. We will do the job in sections and do not expect a helper to do more than negotiated .

Our place is in a small country town of Cambrai with a population of 85 people, approximately 90 minutes drive from Adelaide in South Australia. We have mobile phone coverage, cable TV, and good internet access. We are 35km from the Murray River and 40km from the Barossa Valley which is a large wine making area producing world class wines. Cambrai has a general store/post office, a primary school with a library, local council offices, plus a community swimming pool which is only open during the summer months.
