Small sheep ranch in northern Montana offers hands-on-learning experiences. We run about 40 head of ewes for wool and lamb crops. There is need for sheep herding help in the summer, lambing help during around April in particular. Shipping is in August. But internships accepted all year. Other ranch activities include plantings for wildlife, fencing, farming, gardening and landscaping, building and repairs. Besides sheep, ranch animals include chickens, horses, and goats. I would welcome Helpers who have some skills in landscaping, gardening, carpentry, construction, painting, driving tractors, fencing - or who want to learn. Several projects are lined up that would give a variety of experiences. Regenerative is a byword for goals here. Restoring fields to grassland. Historic preservation of structures on this old homestead is another goal. All seasons have their special opportunities, even winter. Spring lambing offers a fast course in animal husbandry for Helpers who woul...

This is a rural cooperative of 4 farmers and over 100 consumer-members. We are manufacturing dairy products such as yoghurts, fresh cheese, milk drinks, etc, using almost only regional fruits and spices. The aim is is to prove that small size regional production can work well, both ecologically and economically. The team consists of some 8-10 mostly young local people working part time plus volunteers helping in the production, on the field or in the cowshed. A typical working day would be starting in the dairy production or on the field and you work there for 4-5 hours, with the remaining time off. Depending on your interests you could also help in the cowshed in the evening or help with some renovation work around the house and the sheds. Our village is situated in the southern "Waldviertel", near to the beautiful Wachau, a valley of the Danube river famous for its white wines. There are many trails for hiking or bicycling but there is also always an interesting cultural program go...

We are a family with three children, aged 14,18 and 21, originally from Germany and America.10 years ago we moved onto a beautifully situated 46 acres site where we are in the process to establish a farm, garden and a respite care house for people with special needs. We have 11 alpacas, 3 goats, 40 sheep, 8 chickens, 3 dogs (one of them has puppies at present) and 3 cats. We are gradually introducing bio-dynamic methods to the garden and farm. We built a new house which is not quite finished yet, building sheds and renovating an old house. Visitors will stay in a room in our house with a separate bathroom. Meals will be with the family and are mostly vegetarian. We need help with gardening, fencing, cleaning out stables, making concrete floors, plastering around windows and wool processing Particular in summer there is a rich cultural life in the area with several traditional music events. The west coast and the Burren (a fascinating limestone landscape) is about an hour away, pub...

Hello, thank you for looking at our listing. After a little break from hosting we're looking for helpers for April - October 2026. We are Cathy (47) and Leo (who is 14 years old.) We live in a lovely, but messy little cottage in a very beautiful glen. We are semi-off-grid and at the moment there's several issues with the plumbing so please do not apply if you need a daily hot shower! We like to have several helpers so friends are welcome to apply, alternatively we are happy to take single travellers - but please be aware you may need to share a sleeping area with other helpers (who we will ensure are the same sex and similar age to you.) The accommodation is extremely basic, the house is in disarray and I currently resemble a headless chicken for much of the day! Only apply if you are comfortable with untidiness and disorder. However, despite this you will have fun, be well fed and happy. The gardens and surrounding countryside are beautiful and peaceful, so escaping the crazines...

The village Ahrbrück is in the middle of Germany nestled in the beautiful red wine region known as Ahrtal, a few train stations (*) away from Koeln and Bonn. The landscape here is very green and lush offering a variety of options for local tourism and recreation. I am a 55 years old traveller, who studied fruit farming, and keen on house building. I travel a lot in winter to other places in Europe mostly with caravan, I did couchsurfing and made in Portugal Wwoofing last years. It`s okay if you don`t speak German, I am also an English and Spanish speaker. Now I`m currently in the process of making a transition in my life. I have a nice but unfinished house in Kesseling for gathering for artistic, and nature-loving people. It is a work in progress which requires both time and effort, and I need help to make my dream come true! So, if there are any Helpers out there interested in my project, I look forward to welcoming you into my home. Longer staying helpers can do art. I have ve...

We live on 2.5 acres about 8 miles north of Aberdeen in a semi-detached cottage with a small vegetable and flower garden. We look after Shetland ponies Aero and Truffles, and some 14 hens. Mario and Katrin work full time. One of our sons lives in Dundee and visits occasionally. We look for help with all things around the house and land. Taking care of the ponies and chickens, gardening, tree pruning, painting the sheds/fences, help with cleaning, and mowing the lawn. We need you to be flexible about your volunteer times because we have to make the most of dry weather - it is very changable so close to the coast. There's usually quite a bit of log splitting and stacking to do. You need to be physically fit, ok with windy weather and able to dress warmly. It would be helpful if you are not afraid of heights i.e. are happy to use a ladder. We welcome people who can stay 2 weeks or longer. On average we look for around 5 hours/day helping out, for 5 days a week. Days off are discussed on...

****Currently looking for: Solo traveller to help in the farm shop and B&B from 1-28th August** I have a small petting farm, B&B and farm shop in the Highlands of Scotland - John O'Groats a bucket list destination for many. I bought the farm in Sept 2016 as a running business, there is lots to do to try to get it where i would like to be long term. Running the farm by myself with only so many hours in a day means any help is really appreciated! There are 2 positions available - one is for a solo traveller. working in the farm shop and helping get the B&B ready for guests. The work doesn't involve the animals on the farm directly but you are of course welcome to spend as much time with them as you like, they love people and are very friendly. A good level of English is required due to being the first contact person for visitors to the farm. The other position is for a couple or solo traveller - this work mostly involves feeding and cleaning all the animals on the farm - donkeys, pig...

Transforming a summer house into a place for living organically. Now the winter of our discontent is ending, transformed into a glorious spring by this Galician sun; and ....sometimes, the clouds that darkened our home disappear into the deep heart of the flat lands.... So it's time to get to work in the garden and lay cement in some places. Some tasks (not all) can be somewhat boring such as cutting and stacking firewood, removing, digging, collecting vegetable remains,... I appreciate the dexterity in physical and manual works and you need to be fit and able to use your strength efficiently. Hi, I'm looking for creative minds efficient bodies who would like to get involved on an sustainable country house project, with some animals and plenty of work to do. There's a protected little forest surrounding the house with small wild animals, and 6 domestic geese, chickens, dogs and two cats. I need help with many things; work on the greenhouse which I have designed by myself, plant...

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) , please don't come if you have a heavy cold or flu, I'm involved with the elderly. Cheers Al

We mainly need a volunteer or two, to help out with the bar and the horses during the summer months. We are a family that have a bar and renting horses business. As i am currently living outside of Spain and is high season we do need extra hands. We do need help with small things in the bar, cleaning, garden, paint...also you can learn about horses, we got 10. Depends on the season and the weather the works you can do to help us can vary. I do speak English and Spanish but my parents and brother only Spanish, so is a very good opportunity to learn Spanish too :) , Our house is next to a small town, 10min walking where there is a public pool or any shop you may need, doctor... although there is a train right across the road that can take you to the main city, Leon which is only 25km away. Don't hesitate in contact me and i will inform you about any details you may need.

- Space available from 26th June to 25th July for one person in a shared female only room. - Space generally available from 30th July onwards. **Please note that we ask that all enquiries include a proposed arrival and departure date, we also usually arrange a quick video call to confirm volunteers have sufficient English to communicate with other staff and customers** We are a busy, free-hold pub with brewery and gin distillery in a small village beside the sea in North Devon. We serve real ales, home-made food, and run regular music nights, games night and discussion groups. We are busy with holiday-makers and residents alike, and the pub is an important part of the community here. Depending on the length of stay and time of year, volunteers might find themselves helping with general maintenance, cleaning and organising or assisting in the kitchen- helping service run smoothly during lunchtime and evening sessions. Townsville is a tourist hub, with access to beach, mountains, reef, rainforest and bush. Cranbrook is a leafy suburb across the river from the university, close to Riverway (free freshwater swimming lagoon, with art gallery) and shops, and on the bus route. There are large trees around my house, and there is always gardening or raking to do. My mother lives in a house 3 minutes away, and I help her with her garden. Accommodation is a granny flat with a powder room attached. There is a fold out double couch, plus a single bed mattress if required. You will share the bathroom and kitchen - in exchange for gardening, maintenance, painting, cooking or housework. Must love dogs - my dogs like to oversee human pursuits like digging, weeding and walking. I can assist with transport to local hiking spots, beach, or parks, or can pick you up from train or bus station. Prefer helpers who are non-smokers with family-friendly values, and able to work unsupervised when I go out. Also, To...

Autonomy for everyone, especially for you and us at mealtime ... Resources are shared according to the availability of the moment. More possibilities if my children are not there, less if I have other guests ... fortuitous ... In the meantime we have no shortage of space in the garden to let you plant your tent or you lend a space... This is the minimum we can guarantee. A cabin is also available on the family sailboat ... Here too, there is work ... The room with double bed of the house is not often free for our helper sometimes the chance does things well, ask what you want, we are in French Polynesia climate is stable all year ;-) We will not ask for more than 2 or 3 hours of help a day in exchange we plan to lodge without food, although fruits from the garden are still part of the tradition of sharing the house... It's up to you to do your shopping and your dish washing and cleaning up after, the load will be in our situation not equitable otherwise.

Hello, and thank you for looking at our page/profile! We are looking for a helper (1 person) during the summer (2026) for a 2 week period, maybe longer. Starting in June and continue through the summer and fall. We would like help inside and outside and with plenty of gardening and watering of the garden. Outdoor work includes keeping the gardens tidy, cutting and trimming of trees and mowing the lawn. Also the helper must be able to lift and haul fireplace wood and (ideally) know the use of a chain saw but not necessary. All these tasks we do together. Further work includes simple window washing, exterior window and door painting. Saturday house cleaning, gardening, pool cleaning, ironing sheets for the rentals, etc. We are chefs from New York City so we offer great food and comfortable accommodation though we do not do cooking classes to our helpx friends. In the summer time when weather permits, you have a deluxe caravan for your home. You must be very neat and punctual for work...

We are a cultural and arts community that is working towards being self-sustained. The community is situated in the mountains of Monchique, Portugal surrounded by nature. Our community provides an alternative way of living with permaculture gardens, farm animals, sustainability projects, and arts and cultural workshops. It is a great place to come to meet other like-minded people if you are passionate about sustainability and alternative living. We hold community meetings throughout the week alongside activities and workshops, such as quiz nights, dance nights and yoga classes. If you have something you are passionate about and want to share with others, we would love for you to run a workshop. We are offering travelers a warm, comfortable two-story Celery Top Pine Pole home we built ourself. You will enjoy magical views of the ocean and mountain and will wake to the sounds of the wild birds that flock to our food and water bowls. We are regularly visited by possums, wallaby's and various other wildlife. If you're lucky you may even see a Tasmanian Devil. We aspire to a sustainable way of living and adore our large established organic garden, which we are needing help with maintaining. We ask helpers to provide a minimum of 4.5 hrs of work each day for 5 days with two full days off. If you would like a day off after working a few days we ask you to make up the hours on other days. Some helpers also purchase their own food and only work 2.5 hours a day if this suits you better. We are also very flexible and happy to listen to your requests. Previous gardening experience is essential as well as cooking/helping with evening meals, household duties, and other jobs as required...

Hello travelers, my name is Abidine Al-Boudani. I live with my family in a small town called Tagounite in the southeast of Morocco. Our family only settled during the middle of the last century, originally we descend from nomads, but have made a home in the Daraa Valley now. In walking distance to our house we have an organic farm, a 50 year old heritage from when my grandfathers settled down here. The farm is a beautiful place for anyone - be it people coming by themselves, friends, couples, families, pets - to spend an enjoyable time, connecting with the nature of the desert. ~ACCOMODATION~ Volunteers with tents can pitch them in the garden. Some families who come with a motorhome, truck and vehicles have the option to park right next to it. Currently an insulated tent is being constructed next to the garden house, which is also in progress. This accommodation will offer a more quiet environment than the family house, but comes with no bathroom yet at this point. If people need ...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. PLEASE NOTE WELL: we absolutely cannot host anyone with any pre-existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions), such as hay fever, any other allergies, sensitivities or intolerances. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our do...

Hello! Would you like to stay in a villa by the sea? I offer free accommodation in exchange for a few hours of help. The villa is located 15 minutes from Ajaccio. It has bedrooms with private bathrooms, a gym with a spa, a jacuzzi in a landscaped garden, large terraces and a swimming pool. The beaches are just a short walk away, with small coves and natural pools directly opposite the villa. The panoramic sea view and sunsets make the setting particularly idyllic. A transfer from the airport or ferry port can be arranged depending on availability, during the daytime only. A minimum stay of one week is required. The help mainly involves cleaning, cooking, garden maintenance or small painting jobs. It represents around four hours of help per day, with the option of combining the work into one full day every other day. The rest of the time can be spent enjoying the large Lava beach, the coves in front of the villa, the hiking trails behind the house and, during the summer season, the ...

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

To begin with, I prefer NON SMOKERS. I need someone from MARCH 15 2026 onwards for a period of not less than 3 weeks possibly. I am a former English teacher and I live in a small medieval town in a historical house with an organic garden; I have 5 apartments in my house rented out to students or young workers. I also need help with my computer now and then... I expect the helper to work 4 hours a day . I would prefer a helper who has some skills in gardening, sewing and/or cooking. I have unlimited and fast wifi. My former holiday rental is free for you to stay now with your own bathroom. Ideally, I am looking for someone who can work on her/his own, I am very busy with renting out my apartments. Someone who can cook, clean the house, take care of the garden, without me telling him/her what to do. There is a grand PIANO in my house, a lot of concerts in the area, so it would be nice to have someone who has an interest in MUSIC and, possibly in ECOLOGY, for a LONG TERM S...
