My husband is retired and I work in Wellington. Sometimes our young adult children stay and we have a dog called Charlie. It is rural and peaceful but you can walk or bike to the village which has everything you need. There is a train service to Masterton (15mins) and Wellington (1.5 hours). We can collect you from the station and drop you back when you leave. You can stay with us in the main house where we have a 2 spare rooms with queen sized beds or possibly in the Airbnb if it is not occupied .
