Hello! We are Abdel & Luke, qualified English tutors from Morocco (Abdel) and the small island of Guernsey (Luke), living in the city of Kelaa, Morocco. As part of a small team of locals and volunteers we have just launched a new language school in addition to our sister school in neighbouring L’Attaouia - At the moment we are mainly focusing on English, German, Italian and French so if you are a native speaker - or have some ability or fluency - we are super happy to have you. Our aim is to bring unique learning experiences to students and give them an invaluable cultural exchange - the main goal being to improve their language abilities to enrich their lives and futures as for so many this is vital to better opportunities in work and life. Aloha and welcome to my Hawaiian-owned and operated farmstay, a small, homesteading project rooted in Native Hawaiian values, sustainability, and a true farm-to-table way of life. My goal is to grow, harvest, and share food directly from the ʻāina, providing nourishment for ourselves and our La Hui. while learning how to live simply, mindfully, and in harmony with the land. Situated on one acre on the east side of Hawaii. This māla produces tropical fruits, heirloom vegetables, and fresh eggs, all cultivated with care, presence, and respect for indigenous land stewardship practices. Helpers are invited to participate in planting, tending, harvesting, and preparing meals together, gaining hands-on knowledge of self-sufficiency, food sovereignty, and sustainable living. This is not a tourist experience, but a cultural exchange centered on healing through food, community, and Mālama i ke ʻĀina—caring for the land so it may care for us in return.

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. PLEASE NOTE WELL: we absolutely cannot host anyone with any pre-existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions), such as hay fever, any other allergies, sensitivities or intolerances. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our do...

Our farm is located in the foothill of the Catskill mountain, about 2.5 hours north of NYC. There are many hiking trails, lakes and waterfalls around. We grow many varieties of fruits, vegetables, herbs and flowers using natural farming method. We need help in mulching, weeding, transplanting, watering, harvesting, food preservation, trail maintenance and light construction. We practice meditation and yoga, follow a vegetarian diet. No onion, garlic, mushroom, alcohol or tobacco are allowed in the premises. We prefer helpers who have an interest in meditation and yoga; who like being early-risers; who are physically fit, not afraid of hard work; and who have an inner enjoyment of nature, solitude and silence.

Looking for assistance NOW and from late March through summer 26. We moved north from Vancouver to escape the noise and the craziness and to find a spot to live in beauty. We found one and now are on the edge of nothing but more nothing all 400 km to the Pacific. We are 20 km outside of a small town halfway between nowhere and not much. Sharing that is a pleasure. Nearly everything we do now is in support of one thrill: adventures in food. But rural living out here in mid-nowhere means that there are endless other things to be tasked as well: construction, gardening, maintenance of many sorts, enhancing the natural beauty around us. Chances are that if you could describe a pure-fun, physical job, there would be something here I could offer that might satisfy those urges. If you want to work hard, eat marvelous meals and have a fabulous time in the gardens, the workshop and the kitchen, come join us and get a relaxing feel of rural life. PLUS, for all you thrill seekers/amateurs des s...

January 2025: After 10 years of running a B&B we are closing down our company and stop this activity. My wife is picking up her old job and will be working abroad most of the time. I am now mostly living here alone with my dog :-) (I think it is important to mention this) So as I speak, 2026, we have a room available in exchange for what interest me most at the moment: Cooking, gardening, bringing in wood, depending on the season of course. Home improvement help maybe, depending if I have a project going or not. In winter more relaxed around the fireplace :-) As far as the cooking is concerned I would like you to have the same mindset: - You must care about healthy (mostly organic) food, at least nothing with MSG (glutamate) in it and no other food additives either, as far as possible. - During food shopping I must say reading the labels takes quite some time, but it is important! Supermarkets are 80% full of ultra-processed food. - And it goes without saying, you must be abl...

Sorry folks, but we are now fully booked until the beginning of September 2026. There may be a cancellation, but these are very rare, but if you are in the area, reach out, we love to chat :) As well as the normal homesteading tasks, if you want to learn about wine making, bee keeping, self defense, jewellery making, or help Tony with his self defense book and video courses, we could be a great match. Have a think, take a look at our reviews and if you are interested, drop us a line, *** Our beautiful countryside homestead (only 5 acres so not really a farm) is in the mountainous hills above the historic castle town of Caccamo, Sicily. It is surrounded scraggy mountains and long valley walks. It is perfect for hiking or just relaxing in the sun with a good book. Within easy traveling distance for those interested in exploring this culturally rich island, is the seaside town of Cefalù or even the main capital city of Palermo, both are easily accessible by bus and train from the lo...

Permaculture project with idea and space to create an eco-village. The quinta is located in Alto Alentejo 2km from Portalegre. 15 hectares with magical forests and a beautiful valley provided by seventeen sources and several mines with healthy water where too people live permanently for the moment,Isabel, a communication manager and Michel, a carpenter who is the founder of the project. There is also one dog, five cats, for chickens and six sheep. The project is now in the phase when it’s open so that more people can live here. Because parts of the ruins are ready for occupancy, there is space for people who want to stay longer, which can bring new and stronger dynamics throughout the year, not like before, when there was only a lot going on in the summer months. So far there is already a beautiful gardens going on and numerous species of plants, shrubs and trees which deliver us plenty of food. We are restoring an old traditional Béarnaise house located at the foot of the Pyrenees in the Ouzom valley. We want to share it with people who can help us with the garden as well as with the house to maintain or restore it. Assistance activities concern the maintenance or restoration of buildings (lime plaster, carpentry, plumbing, electricity, etc), maintenance of the garden (brush clearing) and its vegetable garden, whether it is windy or raining, depending on the projects in progress and the skills of each. Slug hunting to be planned every evening at nightfall. Once a week a complete cleaning of the premises will be carried out by all. We ask for 5 hours help a day, 5 days a week. We offer accommodation in a large 4-bed dormitory. Please, bring your work gloves and clothes , if you have any. Everyone must be autonomous and responsible enough to know how to clean and store the tools or things they have used, as well as to participate daily, outside helping time, in all the househo...

Transforming a summer house into a place for living organically. Now the winter of our discontent is ending, transformed into a glorious spring by this Galician sun; and ....sometimes, the clouds that darkened our home disappear into the deep heart of the flat lands.... So it's time to get to work in the garden and lay cement in some places. Some tasks (not all) can be somewhat boring such as cutting and stacking firewood, removing, digging, collecting vegetable remains,... I appreciate the dexterity in physical and manual works and you need to be fit and able to use your strength efficiently. Hi, I'm looking for creative minds efficient bodies who would like to get involved on an sustainable country house project, with some animals and plenty of work to do. There's a protected little forest surrounding the house with small wild animals, and 6 domestic geese, chickens, dogs and two cats. I need help with many things; work on the greenhouse which I have designed by myself, plant...

Looking for help! AT THE MOMENT LOOKING FOR HELP IN THE FOREST ,CLEARING BUSHES AND PATHS. This place was born as a Botanical Garden cured by Donatella & Giorgio, for the past 30 years, hosting many different species of common and rare plants. We have different areas in our property: a botanical garden around the house, a horticulture garden 400m from home, different size of ponds, a really old Chestnuts forest, few Land Art intallations too. We are located in the middle of the Natural Reserve called “Il Contrafforte Pliocenico” on the hills of Bologna, which got beautiful trekking route such as the Via degli Dei, the famous trekking route which link Bologna to Florence in just 4-5 days of trekking, mountain biking or horse riding! We also run a BnB but in the last years people passing by are a lot more than expected. Help needed might include:planting, garden maintenance, making paths, clearing the wood, producing yummy jams and products, collecting aromatic herbs to make our f...

Our preference would be to host someone who could stay for several months. 🐑 🐎 🐑 🐎 Helpers will work for 6 hours per day 5 days a week in return for food and accommodation. 🐑 🐎 🐎 🐑 Our farm is in the north-west of Ireland, in County Sligo. As well as horses and sheep, we have two alpacas, a pig, two dogs, two cats and some chickens! 🐎 Accommodation will be provided in a mobile home on the farm. We are in need of volunteers for our community. We prefer volunteers who are willing to work, teach and show our children and community the good way how to make organic farm in order to save our environment. Teaching other subjects to the children, teach adults English lesson, coach our football club. We're flexible in what you chose to do. In the afternoons volunteers run a program called “English Corner” where they teach English classes to local people, helping adults to improve their English skills. Many strive to learn English in order to have better job opportunities in the future. Free-time activities A trip to Tanzania is the chance to experience life in the heart of Africa. There’s plenty to see and do here during your free time on your project. A project in Tanzania wouldn’t be complete without a safari! This is a chance to see the beautiful wildlife of this country, like elephants, rhinos, and lions. What’s more, Tanzania is home to the highest mountain in Africa, Mount ...

Nestled in the coastal range of Mendocino County, California (about 45 minutes Northwest of Ukiah) we are establishing a small farm and wildlife sanctuary.  Based on principles of sustainability & permaculture our expanding ridge top garden and orchards consist of a variety of fruits, veggies, herbs and flowers.  Aside from garden and orchard tasks additional projects may include gathering seaweed and other native wild foods, cooking, canning, fermenting foods, making herbal preparations, habitat restoration, brush and trail clearing, small scale green building and learning how to build and maintain an off-grid infrastructure and solar system. Please read all of our information before contacting us. We require a one month minimum stay, and currently we have space beginning July 1st. Our homestead is remote and therefore not for everyone. We prefer those who want to unplug and enjoy the serenity of a mountain forest. If you are open minded, love to be out doors, want to get your ha...

Hello Potential Volunteers My name is Paul and it was my dream to change my lifestyle from being an office worker to becoming an alpaca farmer.... here we are 14 years later with 100 alpacas, each individually cherishes with names and unique personalities, plus an assortment of other animals all needing our love :) I have three children: Liam (21), Dylan (9) and Oscar (6), and our 100-acre farm is home to approx.100 alpacas, plus llamas, peacocks, hens, mini pigs, a cat named Sexy, and our farm dog Malta. This year we are expecting 20 'cria' (baby alpacas) and each one will need our help so they can thrive! We need to ensure they get colostrum (filled with antibodies and vital for good health) – have they fed from their mums within the first 24hrs? Are they then drinking enough milk from their mums every day? Are they gaining weight? The well-being of my animals is the most important thing on the farm. Do they have good food and enough water, and the best possible natural environme...

We serve real ales, home-made food, and run regular music nights, games night and discussion groups. We are busy with holiday-makers and residents alike, and the pub is an important part of the community here. Depending on the length of stay and time of year, volunteers might find themselves helping with general maintenance, cleaning and organising or assisting in the kitchen- helping service run smoothly during lunchtime and evening sessions. You will like it here! We need help in our garden in the next months, e.g. watering, weeding, cutting branches and so on. It is not hard work! We are a little unconventional community of 4 persons (67,66,72,75), 1 friendly dog and 2 playful cats and we live in a cosy house surrounded by a garden. Our children are on their own, but they sometimes visit us. We raise our own organic vegetables in several raised beds and normal garden beds. There is always something to do in the garden and around the house or walking the dog, cleaning windows and so on... We live in a small rural village in the beautiful hills of the "Odenwald". Our village is located roughly between Heidelberg and Frankfurt, also Mannheim and Darmstadt can be visited easily. There is a good public transportation to all these cities. The Odenwald is a famous hiking region and ideal for mountain biking, a bike is available. There is a climbing rock not far from our house. We speak English quite fluently and some French. ...

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

Minimum Stay is 2 weeks. ESCAPE THIS MODERN MADNESS... become self-sufficient and self-reliant. Plan for future increasing restrictions. We are a couple from czech+uk lived here for 20+ years and have 110 acre almost self sufficient farm set in the jungle with nearly 1 mile of jungle riverside, three miles from Hopkins Village a wonderful Garifuna cultural beach village and 1/4 mile from main road via farm road. We call it a funny farm because of the strange things we have and fun things we do. 20 acres are left to jungle for flora and fauna, 5 acres for livestock, 2 acres tropical fruiting trees and shrubs over 30 different types, also local root crops, vegetables and various others from time to time depending on seed availability. The rest was last used as rice farm by previous owner and is now shrubland for future development. Livestock are dorper sheep, Brown swiss cows, tame and wild muscovy, Black bone chickens and other types, guinea fowl, rabbits, piggywiggy`s and four dogs.....

Townsville is a tourist hub, with access to beach, mountains, reef, rainforest and bush. Cranbrook is a leafy suburb across the river from the university, close to Riverway (free freshwater swimming lagoon, with art gallery) and shops, and on the bus route. There are large trees around my house, and there is always gardening or raking to do. My mother lives in a house 3 minutes away, and I help her with her garden. Accommodation is a granny flat with a powder room attached. There is a fold out double couch, plus a single bed mattress if required. You will share the bathroom and kitchen - in exchange for gardening, maintenance, painting, cooking or housework. Must love dogs - my dogs like to oversee human pursuits like digging, weeding and walking. I can assist with transport to local hiking spots, beach, or parks, or can pick you up from train or bus station. Prefer helpers who are non-smokers with family-friendly values, and able to work unsupervised when I go out. Also, To...

2 Small farms turned into the one near the West Coast of Clare. We keep lots of farm animals like cattle, horses, donkeys and sheep. We produce a wide range of vegetables for ourselves and some for selling. We have two children, went to primary Steiner/ Waldorf school; Frank (25) and Fina(21) and they love having volunteers around the place. Fina is doing equine studies and Frank studies horticulture and loves travelling. We hope you have the ability to adapt to our for most of you different and simple life-style and enjoy farmwork with irregular hours at times, and you will get a true sense of farming life-style! It is important to realise beforehand that you are a volunteer who gets the opportunity to join into our family home/life so please do not compare with a regular paid job.. Most important is that you are happy and enjoy your stay with us... We offer healthy food, wonderful sunsets and rainbows, some Irish traditional music, and the possibility to learn more about old style f...

Please read our profile carefully, and see our website and instagram. If you feel you are the right person or people for us, we look forward to receiving your application. This is a permaculture small farm on the edge of Violet Town, just 800m from the train station. The farm is well established, as most tree planting was done between 1996 and 2000, and the tree crops are well maintained and productive. Murrnong has a large established fruit and nut orchard, an olive grove, vegetable gardens, chickens, milking goats, bees, forestry for shelter and timber, and large dam for irrigation and swimming. Our house is made of timber and mud brick, and we catch our own water. Most of our food comes from the house garden and farm, including a huge range of fresh fruit all year round, a range of vegetables for each season, honey, cheese, olive oil, table olives, and home killed or hunted meat. We eat shared meals, most meals are vegetarian. Type of jobs: farm and garden work, combined with l...

After an intense house renovation, we are now entering the final phase, focusing on cleaning and refreshing the house. From APRIL (for about one month), we are looking for help with PAINTING work inside and outside, as well as some light gardening tasks such as weeding. This period is ideal for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and likes to see visible results at the end of the day. From JUNE onwards, as the weather becomes warmer, the help will mainly consist of daily HOUSEKEEPING tasks (cleaning, ironing), with occasionally some light gardening. We’ve found that this experience works best for people who enjoy staying active and contributing in a practical way to daily life. We truly appreciate volunteers who bring positive energy, a hands-on mindset, and a genuine willingness to help. We are a Belgian family who has been living in France for over 20 years. In our late fifties, we speak French, Dutch, English, and a bit of Spanish. Our home is located in the beautiful r...

We are happy when someone shows enthusiasm for the garden because this is a central part...

- Space available from 26th June to 25th July for one person in a shared female only room. - Space generally available from 30th July onwards. **Please note that we ask that all enquiries include a proposed arrival and departure date, we also usually arrange a quick video call to confirm volunteers have sufficient English to communicate with other staff and customers** We are a busy, free-hold pub with brewery and gin distillery in a small village beside the sea in North Devon. Kitchen work is mainly washing dishes and helping keep things tid...
