Kia ora, travellers! Now available between18th Sept - 4th October ;-)) Haere mai - welcome to my whare (home) in beautiful Honeymoon Valley, surrounded by native rainforest, birds and insects. We built this eco-earth house using local clay from right under our feet. This land used to be just grass, but after 30 years of caring for this whenua, it now has mature trees, orchards, and organic gardens. Life here is peaceful and quiet, perfect for enjoying nature. I am part of the local Landcare Group, protecting our native forest, birds, lizards, and insects. We trap predators and remove invasive weeds. You can help with Landcare work and organic/permaculture gardening: vegetables, fruit trees, chickens, mowing, brush-cutting, compost-making, maintenance and fixing things (basic carpentry, painting), sewing, cleaning, chopping firewood. I bake bread. I make apple cider vinegar, bottle fruit, jam, chutney, sauerkraut, and collect seeds. The current to-do list includes building a roof in f...

We are located in the heart of Malaga, one of Europe's most exciting and diverse cities. With its vibrant cultural scene, world-class museums, historic landmarks, countless cafés, parks, and excellent public transport. I would kindly ask you to help with painting, fencing, gardening, sweeping leaves, cleaning and maintaining the house, as well as feeding and caring for the animals. There is plenty of space to relax and enjoy your free time. You will have your own private room, and I will provide breakfast and one warm meal each day. If you enjoy cooking in a holistic and nutritious way, you are more than welcome to do so. I am always happy to share my knowledge about healthy food and learn from others as well. I am not just looking for someone to help with daily tasks—I would like to offer a meaningful cultural exchange and create a positive experience together. If you are interested in meditation, mindfulness, personal growth, or self-discovery, this could be the right place for you. ...

Hi. We are a fun, friendly household in the sunny Bay of Plenty! I'm a Drama & English teacher and Blair is an electrician. My husband and I have 2 fun, adventurous girls, we also have a dog and cat. We enjoy biking, baking, board games and picnics at the beach, amongst other things. We would love to host people who are honest, friendly, independent, hard-workers and are interested in meeting new people and enjoying what Tauranga has to offer. In exchange for 4 hours work per day (six days a week), you will receive free accommodation, continental breakfast and dinner (please provide your own lunch and snacks) and wifi. Work includes domestic-type chores; mainly cleaning, cooking and possibly baby-sitting - helps if you like children and animals. We have a cat and golden retriever. It is definitely easier if you have a car, although buses are available from here. We had a homestay from China for a year who found their way round on the buses fine but it does take a while. Happy for a...

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON. Need help with a garden clean up, at the moment. You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one rough headed(inside and out 🤣,) skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town. It is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay, 2 hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around. There is a mountain on my ...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. PLEASE NOTE WELL: we absolutely cannot host anyone with any pre-existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions), such as hay fever, any other allergies, sensitivities or intolerances. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our do...

We are a hybrid family with a 13-year-old daughter with us 50% of the time and 2 personality filled cats. We are looking for someone to join us in July for 4 weeks (or longer). The assistance needed is help around the house and to be home when Abigail gets home from school. As we are in school holidays until the end of July, there will be more time with Abigail. Abigail is a lovely girl (& no, it’s not just us who think so!) She loves reading, board and card games, baking, the trampoline... she's easy to have fun with. She enjoys our international helpers and has created many friendships; most stay in regular contact with us. Sometimes you are required to assist with getting Abigail to and from activities, so a full license is preferred. The overall help requested is a couple of hours per day, Monday to Friday. There is a bit of flexibility as to how these play out. We (Darryl and Theamarie) work fulltime so you would have the house to yourself during the days. Our cats, Nyx and Eros...

It is our mission to provide visitors from all over the world with an authentic experience of the unique atmosphere and culture of our home in Canada’s far North. As a well-established tourism company, we are diversifying our impacts and create a more resilient business. Doing this is not only fulfilling our long-term mission of developing a self-sustaining Arctic Eco-Village, but also investigating innovative solutions to major obstacles facing communities in the North: food and housing insecurity, decolonizing our economy, capacity development and cultural revitalization. Sustainable farming is not the only focus we have here, but we are continuously developing ideas and trying new farming methods. We are happy to find people from all over the world who are as motivated as we are to make living in the Arctic more sustainable. Organic methods: In the summer time, when we enjoy 24 hour sunshine, we grow our plants in greenhouses without the use of any chemical/artificial fertilizers....

We have a vacancy for immediate start to help at our animal sanctuary, for a minimum of four weeks, longer would be great! We run a no-kill animal sanctuary in the beautiful Irish countryside, an hour's drive from Dublin City. We have horses, sheep, goats, hens, geese, ducks, dogs, cats, a pig and a donkey, all rescued from bad situations and now living out their days in peace and comfort with us. We are looking for someone to help with the daily tasks, mostly cleaning up the fields and stables, and walking and playing with some of our dogs. Accommodation and self-prepared meals offered in return for help with taking care of rescue animals. We ask for a minimum stay of four weeks, and even longer would be better! Our last volunteer came for three months and stayed for six! Approximately 25 -30 hours per week of help will be required. Vegetarian/vegan food supplied. Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) , please don't come if you have a heavy cold or flu, I'm involved with the elderly. Cheers Al

Hello. We are a small Llamas farm, located in the Pyrenees mountains. If you are looking for an original French experience, it could be the right place for you! Here in the high Pyrenees, near the Andorra & Spanish border, we offer you the possibility to live and work in a calm and isolated place, surrounded by high mountains and nothing but pure nature, and good meals "à la française" after our activities among our lamas (about 15 of them). We are a retired French couple, but we used to work and live in foreign countries and continents, which made us interested in people and cultures from all over the world. In the surroundings, there are beautiful places that we would be happy to make you discover, and if you want, we can trek together with Llamas... For your own, you get an entire and cosy apartment (2 bedrooms, 1 or 2 people, single or couple), and join us for generous meals, mostly with local products, that we like to share and appreciate together (so, no vegetarian requir...

Looking for help during summer of 2026. We moved north from Vancouver to escape the noise and the craziness and to find a spot to live in beauty. We found one and now are on the edge of nothing but more nothing all 400 km to the Pacific. We are 20 km outside of a small town halfway between nowhere and not much. Sharing that is a pleasure. Nearly everything we do now is in support of one thrill: adventures in food. But rural living out here in mid-nowhere means that there are endless other things to be tasked as well: construction, gardening, maintenance of many sorts, enhancing the natural beauty around us. Chances are that if you could describe a pure-fun, physical job, there would be something here I could offer that might satisfy those urges. If you want to work hard, eat marvelous meals and have a fabulous time in the gardens, the workshop and the kitchen, come join us and get a relaxing feel of rural life. PLUS, for all you thrill seekers/amateurs des sensations, a chance to ste...

This is an exciting opportunity to have an experience that will stay with you throughout your life. Our Foundation aims at helping rural children receive a qualitative outstanding education. We have a volunteer teaching program to assist rural teachers and children get exposure to foreign languages and cultures. Because English is the second language in Thai schools, we concentrate on improving the English language skills of both rural teachers and children. At present, we aim to help 4 public elementary schools (grades 1 - 6) close to Chiang Mai. We are currently taking applications for volunteers who would available to start mid-November and commit to at least 8 weeks . We are looking for volunteers to teach English only. Couples are welcome as well. NOTE: We do not charge volunteers any fees for staying with us. The generous gift of your time and dedication is all the donation we will ask of you. We provide the volunteers lodging and meals in return for their generous servic...

Hello! We’re Clara and Fabien. After having some amazing experiences abroad as HelpX helpers ourselves, we thought it was time to become hosts and welcome travellers into our home. We live in a small mountain village in the heart of the Ariège Pyrenees. If you enjoy nature and being outdoors, you’ll probably love it here. In winter, there are ski resorts nearby, snowshoeing, beautiful walks, and plenty of hiking trails starting right from the village. We can host one person or a couple. We’re not looking for perfect helpers—just people who are easygoing, respectful, curious, and happy to share a bit of their daily life with us. During the winter season, we’ll need some help with our Nordic hot tubs. The work is pretty straightforward: getting the tubs ready for guests, carrying and stacking wood, keeping the area tidy, and helping with a few everyday tasks. We’ll explain everything, so no experience is needed. In exchange, we’ll share meals, spend time together, and happily show y...

My home is in a rural village surrounded by vast rice fields. This is the perfect place to learn about life in a traditional Indonesian village. The locals really enjoy meeting foreigners, which makes for a good cultural exchange. Enjoy the fresh air at the river next to my house, take part in activities with the locals and end the day with a stunning view from my sunset viewpoint. My mission is to support the local community and create a cultural exchange, and I would love to welcome anyone to my home to help me with this. Hi, my name is Roni, and I'm from the beautiful Desa Wisata Pagaruyung in West Sumatra. I used to have an English school by my house that got destroyed in 2024 because of a flood during the rainy season here. The English school is my personal project and it allowed the local kids to learn a language that could help them get better grades at school but also have access to media, information and prospects of a future job. It's important to me to give back to my commu...

We are a cultural and arts community that is working towards being self-sustained. The community is situated in the mountains of Monchique, Portugal surrounded by nature. Our community provides an alternative way of living with permaculture gardens, farm animals, sustainability projects, and arts and cultural workshops. It is a great place to come to meet other like-minded people if you are passionate about sustainability and alternative living. We hold community meetings throughout the week alongside activities and workshops, such as quiz nights, dance nights and yoga classes. If you have something you are passionate about and want to share with others, we would love for you to run a workshop. One of the best things here is the variety of tasks you can do as a volunteer, which gives you the opportunity to learn new skills and discover what you enjoy doing most. We have a combination of short-term and long-term volunteers and on average we have between 10 to 20 volunteers and resident...

Since 2012, hundreds of volunteers from many countries have helped our projects. We are very grateful for their help and many have become our good friends and come back for a second, third or even fourth visit! In 2020 I started a new project in a town in Northern Ireland. The building is a former back-packers hostel which we are gradually turning into campus. that focuses on peacebuilding education. Our aim is "to creatively and sensitively explore the resistances to peacebuilding - knowing that such resistance can resource transformation". We are not a commercial business, but a “not-for-profit” that is run by volunteers. We have three types of volunteers. 1. Volunteers - help with site work, painting, maintenance, cooking, cleaning, maintenance, office work. They come for a couple of months, though sometimes a shirt as two weeks or as long as a year! 2. Interns - come for at least 2 months, often 3 or 4 months or longer, and do work such as research related to their stud...

- Space available from now until 28th September. - Space available from 28th September to 24th October and 29th October onwards in a female shared room. - Space generally available from 17th November onwards. **Please note that we ask that all enquiries include a proposed arrival and departure date, we also usually arrange a quick video call to confirm volunteers have sufficient English to communicate with other staff and customers** We are a busy, free-hold pub with brewery and gin distillery in a small village beside the sea in North Devon. We serve real ales, home-made food, and run regular music nights, games night and discussion groups. We are on an 70 acre farm in North Pope County, Illinois and are virtually surrounded by the Shawnee National Forest. Having been on this farm for 13 years, we are still developing infrastructure and are continuing to plant in the orchard and various berries as well as establishing and expanding garden and crop areas. We are a GMO, herbicide and pesticide free farm in all of our outdoor areas. As we are far away from "modern agricultural" property, we feel that we should have no problems with cross pollination of our crops with GMO's or damage/exposure from/to ag chemicals. There are many projects currently in process or in the planning stages. This summer/fall we hope to get new water and electric lines ran to all the barns and the greenhouse as well as get a fiber studio framed in and get the finishing touches on the greenhouses. Tasks on the farm are endless, so there are always things to do year round. Clearing brush, cutting wood, building fence, baling hay, sawing lumber, ...

Hello, We are James and Isabel and we live in the tranquil, beautiful town of Monleras, in the province of Salamanca. We own a 6 hectare property just outside of town, called the "espacio natural de las grillas" where we practice permaculture techniques and host various activities and retreats involving yoga, meditation, personal growth, and silence. We have a large yurt, an outdoor kitchen, and an outhouse with running water and a hot-water shower, as well as a few other structures, and tents to stay in. There is also a room available in our house in town. There are always many projects to work on at the farm: construction with wood and stone, gardening, tree planting, pruning, and care, (and soon a henhouse!). There is a lake nearby for swimming and we have bicycles and a kayak available too. Isabel is a yoga instructor, and James works online in the afternoons. Besides yoga and meditation, we enjoy listening to and playing music, dancing, going on hikes, and just the peaceful...

We are near the Shoalwater Marine Park and Penguin Island 40mins from Perth city centre. Very close to public transport, cafes and library. Ideal for beach walking, diving, swimming, cycling, fishing, sailing and windsurfing (beach is 60 metres away). Accommodation would take form of a fully insulated cute tiny garden room with access to undercover cooking area and bathroom. IT is small so please See photos. On week days we are usually working in Perth so we cant provide meals, but a well-stocked supermarket is 200 metres away. When possible we can take turns for meals if possible. We average 2/3 hours a day painting, plumbing gardening and other repairs and can negotiate best time to do that, for example maybe it’s more convenient to do two longer days during the week.Greg is usually available to help you with your car or take you fishing, boating or sightseeing if you’re willing to free him up from his other commitments. When you email please let us know when you plan to get to Per...

Stay with us in South Fremantle! Hi! I’m Sherree, and this is Ziggy in the photos — my very friendly, slightly spoilt dog and unofficial Fremantle tour guide. 🐾 We live in South Fremantle, in a great little spot where you can walk to the beach, cafés, bars, galleries and pretty much everything else that makes Freo so much fun. If you’re looking for somewhere relaxed to stay, are happy being independent during the day, and don’t mind sharing the neighbourhood with a dog who thinks everyone has come specifically to meet her, you might fit in very well here! A little about us: I’ve loved travelling since my early 20s and have been lucky enough to travel extensively, with adventures across Europe, Asia and North America. I’ve spent over 20 years working in the WA mining industry — 17 of those years FIFO, followed by the last four in corporate mining in Perth. So if you’re a tradesperson, have a trade background, or are thinking about getting into mining as a Trades Assistant, I’m ha...

Every now and then, family, friends, or returning guests may be staying too, so the bathroom may be shared. We think of our home as a place to live, not just a place to sleep. We generally ask for about 4 to 5 hours of help per day, with a lot of flexibility around when you do it. We’ll agree on what needs to get done, then trust you to manage your time. Animal Rescue and Sanctuary and Organic Vegan Farm in Central Costa Rica Hello everyone! What we do: We take care of animals, we grow organic food, we prepare and eat tasty vegan meals, we minimize our impact on the earth, and we enjoy the company of our Costa Rican friends and neighbors. We have run a volunteer program for over 18 years, and have had several hundred people come to work with us! Our farm is primarily an animal rescue, rehab and sanctuary. Our doors are open to animals in need. We currently have five rescue dogs, five goats, a pig, a horse, one cat, and two water buffalos. Some came off the streets, some were abandoned, others were injured and no longer wanted. We adopt out what we can, but most are retired and happy to live their lives on the farm. The 3.5 hectare property is covered with many tropical fruit trees, including water apple, mandarin orange, banana (many varieties), guayaba, guanabana, cas, caimito, lime, nance, coffee and araza. Depending on the se...

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy to show you basis if you are interested. If you want to discover...

With its vibrant cultural scene, world-class museums, historic landmarks, countless cafés, parks, and excellent public transport. I would kindly ask you to help with painting, fencing, gardening, sweeping leaves, cleaning and maintaining the house, as well as feeding and caring for the animals. If you enjoy cooking in a holistic and nutritious way, you are more than welcome to do so. I am always happy to share my knowledge about healthy food and learn from others as well.

Some riding maybe included depending on experience. In exchange we can offer accommodation, good food, pool (in the summer) and great company. We look forward to meeting you :)

Accommodation is in a modern mobile home, two bedrooms, one bathroom with shower and toilet, living room and kitchen...

You’ll have a private room with a queen-size bed in a modern, clean, air-conditioned home. Most of the time, you’ll also have your own bathroom with a shower.
