I have a wonderful lifestyle block in central Waikato full of productive trees and animals. My focus is on producing healthy, nutrient-dense food in an environmentally sustainable and ethical manner. That may sound like a lot of multi-syllable boxes to tick, but it comes down to common sense and logic and knowing the consequences of your interactions wtih nature. I research, experiment, write about, consult and teach how to live off the land. Hence my orchard contains a huge range of food-producing plants. However, I have learnt to distinguish between edible and tasty and I love it when travellers from other cultures teach me how to use a food in a way previously unknown to me (remember, all of NZ food plants are imports). From guests I expect: Four hours help per day (hours can be flexible), and is varied and interesting, including maintenance of the lifestyle block, caring for the animals, house and garden maintenance. Assistance in preparing and cleaning up the daily main meal. ...

Our family runs a western riding facility with 30 stalls, where we provide horse boarding and training, including reining and cow work. We also have a western saloon, where we host weddings, special events, and are open for our club members on weekends. In return for cleaning out stalls and feeding horses (and the odd other job), we offer room and board, sorry we cannot host vegetarians; we include you in family activities and you have the possibility to improve your riding skills in western riding (cow work and reining) in our 30 x 60 m arena and - how about -learning some line dancing!! A bicycle is available, if you want to explore the near surroundings. We are located close to Switzerland, it`s about a 15 minutes car ride to Basle, and also only about 20 minutes to Germany. Our area is a great tourist region. If you are mature, fit and self-motivated, willing to stay for a minimum of 2 weeks, experienced with handling horses, we would be happy to hear from you!

Need helpers NOW in beautiful, sunny Marlborough! In return for 4 hours help a day I offer you accommodation and all meals in a sunny, warm home where you will have your own bedroom (queen size bed) and own bathroom with the added privacy of being in a separate wing of my house. My sunny home sits atop a hill from which you will have a magnificent view of the township of Blenheim to Cook Strait and the hills of the North Island beyond. Of course if you would prefer to work a full day in order to have a day off in which you could explore the nearby Marlborough Sounds, cycle the wine trails, or walk or climb on any of the formed tracks in this area, that would be just fine. My 40 ha property is a sheep/beef farm most of which is leased. I tend a large garden and care for the drive and tracks, drainage and irrigation and deal with fallen trees. It is help with this work I require.. Therefore most of the work is outdoor, constantly varied, not difficult, with some indoors work on occ...

We are located in the heart of Malaga, one of Europe's most exciting and diverse cities. With its vibrant cultural scene, world-class museums, historic landmarks, countless cafés, parks, and excellent public transport. I would kindly ask you to help with painting, fencing, gardening, sweeping leaves, cleaning and maintaining the house, as well as feeding and caring for the animals. There is plenty of space to relax and enjoy your free time. You will have your own private room, and I will provide breakfast and one warm meal each day. If you enjoy cooking in a holistic and nutritious way, you are more than welcome to do so. I am always happy to share my knowledge about healthy food and learn from others as well. I am not just looking for someone to help with daily tasks—I would like to offer a meaningful cultural exchange and create a positive experience together. If you are interested in meditation, mindfulness, personal growth, or self-discovery, this could be the right place for you. ...

2 Small farms turned into the one near the West Coast of Clare. We keep lots of farm animals like cattle, horses, donkeys and sheep. We produce a wide range of vegetables for ourselves and some for selling. We have two children, went to primary Steiner/ Waldorf school; Frank (25) and Fina(21) and they love having volunteers around the place. Fina is doing equine studies and Frank studies horticulture and loves travelling. We hope you have the ability to adapt to our for most of you different and simple life-style and enjoy farmwork with irregular hours at times, and you will get a true sense of farming life-style! It is important to realise beforehand that you are a volunteer who gets the opportunity to join into our family home/life so please do not compare with a regular paid job.. Most important is that you are happy and enjoy your stay with us... We offer healthy food, wonderful sunsets and rainbows, some Irish traditional music, and the possibility to learn more about old style f...

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) , please don't come if you have a heavy cold or flu, I'm involved with the elderly. Cheers Al

- Space available from now until 24th October and 17th November onwards. **Please note that we ask that all enquiries include a proposed arrival and departure date, we also usually arrange a quick video call to confirm volunteers have sufficient English to communicate with other staff and customers** We are a busy, free-hold pub with brewery and gin distillery in a small village beside the sea in North Devon. We serve real ales, home-made food, and run regular music nights, games night and discussion groups. We are busy with holiday-makers and residents alike, and the pub is an important part of the community here. Depending on the length of stay and time of year, volunteers might find themselves helping with general maintenance, cleaning and organising or assisting in the kitchen- helping service run smoothly during lunchtime and evening sessions. Kitchen work is mainly washing dishes and helping keep things tidy during service, carrying food to tables, etc. The nature and duratio...

We are a young couple who have made the leap from the UK to NZ and then from the city to the country. We have travelled a lot before settling in NZ and love to meet new people. We have a beautiful home in the countryside but also close to the beach. Perfect if you like animals and being in the outdoors and love the sea. We love to paddleboard in the Ngunguru estuary and walk our dog along the many trails and beaches nearby. We are about 20mins out from town so having a car would be a bonus unless you are happy to relax at home while we are at work. The stunning Tutukaka coastline is also 30 mins drive and is a must see for any traveller. Another must see destination in NZ, the Bay of Islands is an hour away. We were new to lifestyle blockering and are still learning as we go. We have a 4 yr old called Alfie and a 2 yr old called Charlotte as well as the dog (Pip), Chickens, Ducks, sheep lambs and cows. This means there is enough of a range of jobs to suit most peoples preference. F...

Hello. We live on a historic property located in the hills of Echo Park, which is between Silver Lake/Hollywood and Downtown in Los Angeles, CA. We're also adjacent to Elysian Park. We are one mile from Sunset Blvd where there are buses and transit to access the rest of LA. There are 8 historic homes and the stables on 5 acres. We often need help in making repairs, maintenance, painting, helping out with the horses and gardening, sweeping or raking. I am rebuilding one of the adobe houses in the next few months and will need an assistant to help me out with a few tasks. We will be doing some carpentry mostly but also some plastering and other tasks. Any help is very much appreciated. There are always fun projects to work on. We also occasionally need help with some light domestic work, like dusting, washing dishes, washing windows, etc. If you have childcare experience, we'd love to hear from you! We have two cats in the house as well as chickens and horses. We usually need help fro...

Our mission: To establish, maintain and grow a tropical park-like sustainable garden. Quickly: This is a simple beautiful tropical retreat like farm that invites you to experience nature and yourself. We also harvest macadamia nuts, dragon fruit, white pineapple and bananas as our cash crops. The oil palm, avocado, coconut palm, mango trees are just the start to a geodesic experience. I almost forgot the various clumps of bamboo and vast growths of monstera deliciosa for added effect and we’re located in one of the safest places in the world. The Honaunau District just South of Captain Cook, Hawaii (Big Island). Your housing is a modest but clean two bedroom apartment with a shared full bath, the clubhouse room has WiFi, big screen TV and an outside kitchen. We are a cultural and arts community that is working towards being self-sustained. The community is situated in the mountains of Monchique, Portugal surrounded by nature. Our community provides an alternative way of living with permaculture gardens, farm animals, sustainability projects, and arts and cultural workshops. It is a great place to come to meet other like-minded people if you are passionate about sustainability and alternative living. We hold community meetings throughout the week alongside activities and workshops, such as quiz nights, dance nights and yoga classes. If you have something you are passionate about and want to share with others, we would love for you to run a workshop. One of the best things here is the variety of tasks you can do as a volunteer, which gives you the opportunity to learn new skills and discover what you enjoy doing most. We're Manon, Alessandro and Brioche (I'm a dog) a little young family passionate about nature, travelling, independence, regenerative practices, agriculture, farming, gardening, trekking and life. After almost 10 years of working and travelling overseas we felt the the needs to set roots and to transform our dream in to a reality. We bought an old farm stable in ruins (dry stone building) inside a very small village and a few hectares of old chestnuts forest next to it. On one side we want to restore the old building using eco techniques, as much as we can, to transform it in to our house and on the other side we are developing a syntropic garden, a little orchard based on agroforestry systems principles that will also be applied to some parts of the chestnuts forest. We're located in South Ardèche, near the town of Joyeuse. The place is famous for its rivers, canyons and forests with plenty of hiking and biking trails, bathing spots, canyoning, rafting, climbing spots, old small vil...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. PLEASE NOTE WELL: we absolutely cannot host anyone with any pre-existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions), such as hay fever, any other allergies, sensitivities or intolerances. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our do...

Hawaii Beach Project: This is a construction project that believes in creating positive change by using sustainable methods and newly invented building materials and procedures. Our project has been underway for over a decade and through the process we have had the opportunity to present a transformative experience for individuals who want to work on not only bringing the building and environment to a higher place, but to also bring themselves to a higher place. We provide and encourage all who come to volunteer to participate in meditation groups and seminars, yoga practices, healthy eating options (all of the food here is provided for you!), and make strong and lasting relationships with everyone who lives here! We are looking for long term help in carpentry, mechanical, electrical, fiber cable installation, tiling, masonry, and drywall. If you have any experience in any of these construction areas and would like to spend a minimum of 3 months living on a beach on Kauai Island, the...

SORRY BUT I AM NOT HOSTING HELPERS AGAIN UNTIL SEPTEMBER 2026. I own a 15 acre lifestyle farm overlooking the sea at Kuaotunu on the beautiful Coromandel Peninsula. I have 6 Alpacas, 2 cattle, 1 cat and 1 dog. I would like help to care for the gardens, grounds, 2 glamping sites and animals. I offer 3 good meals and morning tea per day, and accommodation in a caravan, in return for 4.5 hours work per day that you are with me. If you wish to work a full day and have a full day off, I will do my best to accommodate that. The property has stunning close views of the sea and islands, a Pa site (a high hill where there was once a fortified Maori village)and is about 10-15 minutes walk down to the beach. Kuaotunu village is very small but is in a beautiful location with a general store and a very cool rustic beach shack style pizza restaurant - Lukes Kitchen - which has excellent wood fired pizzas and other food and often has live music in the summer. There is also a fabulous cafe - Kua Kawh...

Hello folks,Dear volunteers, here's some important information: We're fully booked with volunteers for 1-30.7.2026 . Dear prospective volunteers, due to the currently excessive energy costs for heating and the like, we are unable to accept any more volunteers for 2026. We, SVEN and Andrea . Since 2017 we and our 14 horses and ponies and 5 dogs as well as some 4 pension horses at home in St. Anna near Mindelheim in the wonderful Unterallgäu. The Little Horse Ranch St. Anna and the Waldreitschule St. Anna is a wonderful oasis in the middle of the forest and yet you can be in Mindelheim in 5 minutes by car. Lake Constance is about 50 km away, the Allgäu Alps and Munich about 70 km. At the Waldreitschule St. Anna, the students are taught how to treat horses and how to ride them respectfully from the ground. We wish for helping hands for our ranch and the forest riding school. Physical fitness is an important characteristic and not a fear of contact with horses and dogs. To the daily tasks...

October is available From October onwards we are open to either short or longer stay requests. We could have a trial week or fortnight before committing to a long stay. Also we would like to arrange help for next year MARCH and April, this would involve strimming (rechargeable, metal blade Stihl, with mask etc) and for an experienced strimmer we could add some paid hours on top of the full board and bedroom. PLEASE no supporters of mass starvation and military actions against civilians... No climate change deniers ... We definitely would not get on!!! (to be clear it is not that we require long or even ANY conversations on these topics, it is that it would be against our principles to be gaining any kind of advantage by hosting people who were so strongly misaligned with our ethics). We like 24 hours(can be less if the work is grottier or heavier,)work each week from each person + a bit of vegetable chopping, this is in exchange for your accommodation and all your food (3 me...

We are an active family of 5 ( 2 adults and 3 teenagers) with different interests: adventure racing, travelling, permaculture, horse riding, to name a few activities. We need help with gardening, building features around the organic farm. I ( Sophie) am on the farm, my teenagers are either studying or working. We don’t live on the premises, but we enjoy good chats.

++ Updates on SUMMER Season '26: we have no more space fot this summer, sorry. ** Updates on AUTUMN '26 SEASON: only OCtober - November left. During autumn we can host volunteers who are either experienced in building (carpenters, ceramist, painters ...), traditional crafts, or digital marketing/photography. We are renovating the upper floor of our house and turning it into apartments for rent, and are willing to offer an already renovated and fitted one for an experienced hand's help. If the photos did the job (stirring your interest, that is), you must be a nature-and-mountain-and-beautiful-scenery-lover, so a big part of who we are happy to live and work with for a while is already done. If you are not discouraged by mostly a lot of (could be) quite repetitive physical work, then you will not suffer either :) So, to the work first: most of the time it will be earth and plants related. Matej has a job/business/vocation in the world of herbs and during late spring/summer/early...

Hello :) We are a small German family (Jens 55, Doreen 47 and Sam 8) who emigrated to Norway many years ago. We live on a farm here and now have 43 sheep. We need some help with tasks like cleaning out the stable and feeding them. In addition, there are always several tasks to be done on a farm, such as repairing or building fences, felling trees, sawing wood with a chainsaw or cross-cut saw, preparing winter wood and, if necessary, gardening work such as pulling weeds. You'll be staying in a camper van/caravan parked right next to our house. You'll be able to enter the house at any time and use the bathroom and our kitchen. The camper van, of course, has electricity and Wi-Fi. :)

The option might exist to stay longer but that’s by special request. This would suit singles, (if there's others staying) couples or a group of friends wanting a short but fun adventure. Sometimes we have small numbers just 2 people, other times large numbers of backpackers and travellers. BRUNY ISLAND has BEACHES, FORESTS, BIRDS, NATURE, and so much more. We are located at Adventure Bay on the South of the island which is roughly a 90 minute journey from Hobart. The first ferry to Bruny island is around 6.50...

We are developing and caring for a peaceful private retreat on 25 wooded acres near Nevada City, California. The property overlooks the South Yuba River canyon and offers a quiet, natural setting for people who appreciate independence, community and time outdoors. This is a private retreat property, not a campground. Nobody currently occupies the main house as a permanent resident, although there is a volunteer staying on the property at present. The house has two private guest bedrooms upstairs, along with a bathroom for those rooms. Downstairs is a shared communal and functional area with a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, living room and dining area. Additional accommodation includes a separate sleeping cabin w With its own kitchenette , loft and exterior foot tub , and there is also an RV that can accommodate a volunteer, depending on availability. There is also three bathrooms (true letter inside the main house ) and one that is outside the house in a different location and is...
