Stay with us by a beautiful lake, wake up to the sound of birds, enjoy the sunrise from our beach, disconnect from the noise, become more sustainable, feel the essence of nature and climb the volcano where we live. We are looking for self-sufficient and collaborative individuals to join our team of four volunteers dedicated to maintaining and guarding the property. We offer a straightforward exchange: your work in return for food. If you value independence, don't mind routine tasks, love being surrounded by nature and embrace a self-directed way of living, this could be the perfect fit for you! ---- šŸ“¢ šŸ“¢ š—£š—Ÿš—˜š—”š—¦š—˜ š—£š—Ÿš—˜š—”š—¦š—˜ š—£š—Ÿš—˜š—”š—¦š—˜: š—•š—²š—³š—¼š—暝—² š—°š—¼š—»š˜š—®š—°š˜š—¶š—»š—“ š˜‚š˜€, š˜„š—² š—øš—¶š—»š—±š—¹š˜† š—®š˜€š—ø š˜†š—¼š˜‚ š˜š—¼ š—°š—®š—暝—²š—³š˜‚š—¹š—¹š˜† š—暝—²š—®š—± š—¼š˜‚š—æ š—²š—»š˜š—¶š—暝—² š—½š—暝—¼š—³š—¶š—¹š—² š—®š—»š—± š—°š—µš—²š—°š—ø š—¼š˜‚š—æ š—®š˜ƒš—®š—¶š—¹š—®š—Æš—¶š—¹š—¶š˜š˜†. š—Ŗš—² š—±š—¼ š—»š—¼š˜ š—ŗš—®š—øš—² š—²š˜…š—°š—²š—½š˜š—¶š—¼š—»š˜€. š—¢š˜‚š—æ š—ŗš—®š—¶š—» š—“š—¼š—®š—¹ š—¶š˜€ š˜š—¼ š—®š˜ƒš—¼š—¶š—± š—®š—»š˜† š—ŗš—¶š˜€š˜‚š—»š—±š—²š—暝˜€š˜š—®š—»š—±š—¶š—»š—“š˜€ š—¼š—æ š—ŗš—¶š˜€š—ŗš—®š˜...

Things like cristals, bijoux and other products related to spirituality like singing bowls, incens, etc. Lately I'm making grow the business so I’ll need some help and I offer this opportunity for someone who wanna spend a summer in a nice village called Salou in the coast of Catalonia. The night market is open from 7pm till midnight and this would be your squedule. Tasks are basically attending clients in the stand at the market, making sells, etc. This work will be paid and you'll be registered at the spanish work office so it's a MUST that you have the work permit in Spain, and I can NOT help you on that. Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . Located 12 minutes the pristine beach’...

Two hours work each day per person (No work on Sundays). You can do extra hours one day to take a day off the following day if you like. You can hang out with me later if you want to learn more about everyday Australian language and culture or you can just go and do your own activities. Room and simple breakfast of toast, tea or coffee, I can show you where to find free bread and there is generally some rice or pasta you can use, occasionally some fruit and vegetables, or other food included but not guaranteed. Please note, there is no internet on at the house, I prefer to communicate with people face to face. I only have internet on my phone. There is a community centre just down the road where you can access the internet on week days. There's also a club in town that has free internet and is open until 4am 7 days a week. The only room currently available is the smaller double room upstairs. I currently have a lady with 2 children in the other 2 rooms downstairs. Ipswich is a love...

We (Riley, Serene and Bood) enjoy living in harmony with nature and each other. This place is a beautiful property high in the hills above Cairns, that borders World Heritage rain forest wilderness on three sides, and enjoys breathtaking views over the Atherton tableland. There are permanent creeks, waterfalls, rock pools (for swimming) and a very pleasant climate, without the high humidity that the coast can experience (in summer). That said, it can get very wet in summer and early autumn; our wet season. Abundant wildlife including tree kangaroos, possums, platypus, cassowary and hundreds of other bird species. The property practices holistic management, organics and permaculture principles. Work is mostly gardening, in the orchard and household duties. Most happy to utilise your unique skills and gifts, where possible. We like to take turns cooking meals, encourage food literacy (from garden to plate), and greater awareness of self-sufficiency. Accommodation for one or two h...

We are a very adventurous family who loves the great outdoors. Our cottage is on a small picturesque lake with hectares of woods behind. We are near a small village and I go into Parry Sound regularly. We have had several helpx helpers and the experience has been mutually beneficial and pleasurable for all. You will share meals in the cottage with me during the week. Family and friends will come and go. We have several remote cabins which we visit frequently. I am doing more travelling but am home for long stretches at a time. I am looking for helper for 2 plus weeks. The work will be varied. - sanding, painting, de-cluttering, cleaning, cooking, organizing, gardening. There will be plenty of time to explore the woods and surrounding area. We have lots of celebrations and family traditions I have 8 grandchildren and 3 grand-dogs. Life is never dull.

(La description en franƧais se trouve plus bas !) We are a small Buddhist community living in the forest close to Sainte-Julienne, Quebec. We have an organic fruit tree nursery, along with many other projects on our land: several fruit orchards, chickens and bees, growing our own vegetables and herbs and trying to be independent in many ways. The six people who are staying are: Ajan, Eric, Veronique, Elisabeth, Natalie and Camille. Each of us have arrived here one by one, at first just interested in helping out in the place, and then as we found that this lifestyle was for us, deciding to stay for longer. For part of the year we also have a couple of employees staying with us. There is also a wonderful dog named Dali. Our organic nursery and garden occupies a land of 9 hectares, surrounded by forest. As well as the main land of the nursery, we have another smaller land where a few of us live. This is, in fact, where the community started to grow from very small beginnings in the ear...

We are located on Vancouver Island in the foothills below the Comox Glacier, 6 km. from the ocean and have hosted travelling helpers for 20 years. Accommodation is a rustic and basic bright loft in the bicycle building workshop. (Unheated but with plenty of quilts and a hot water bottle, plus the house is warmed with a cozy wood cook stove in cool weather.) We have several garden plots, a greenhouse, fruit trees, a walnut tree and chickens. I am a writer, a folk musician and a community and social justice advocate and Ross is a peace activist, an alternative bicycle designer, specializing in electric power assist bicycles and utility cycling. He is also a land survey technician. The tasks depend on the season and include general gardening work such as compost making, planting, weeding, mulching, harvesting, fence repair, plus firewood, bicycle repair, help in the kitchen and occasionally some house work. We eat local fish, chicken, meat and organic vegetables and fruit. There are wilde...

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) Cheers Al

My husband Matthias and I, Johanna, came from Germany as backpackers in the 1980s. We met here in NZ, but our home language is German. We are a family with eight children, who we home-educated throughout their school years. Three of them are now married, and we have five grandchildren. Five of our now grown-up children are living at home - either still or again - our oldest son with his wife and 4 boys is living in our cottage, and another son with his wife and baby has moved into a smaller house on our property. A friend lives in our housetruck. So life is happening to the full! Sadly, my husband passed away in January 2024 after a short time of intense illness. We miss him much! Our lifestyle block is home to a gaggle of geese, a flock of domestic ducks, around 40 chickens, some sheep and sometimes a few young male goats, - and of course many wild birds, rabbits and the tiny creatures of fields, woods and duck-pond. An old apple, apricot and peach orchard and a young walnut grove ar...

Welcome! Our family owned and operated certified organic livestock farm in North Central British Columbia is excited to have you stay and become a part of everything we have going on. We’ve been operating since 2008, primarily raising Berkshire pigs, Dexter cattle, Katahdin sheep, laying hens, broiler chickens and of course bronze breasted turkeys for thanksgiving and Christmas. On top of that, we’re home to two Labrador retrievers (Ned and Nelly), 3 outdoor cats, 2 guard alpacas and a family of Muscovy ducks. In other words, you will never find yourself not in the company of animals! Aside from livestock, we have recently built a small farm store / cafĆ© that cooks the meat raised on the farm. We also take pride in creating all recipes from scratch, from the sauces to the buns of the burgers. Currently only operating during the summer months, 3 days per week. It’s been a lot of work, but a great way to get more people out to the farm, eating good food and connecting with the community...

I live on a 5 acre property about 10km from CBD. I am an artist/ sculptor and love being involved in creative projects and have spent 17 years making my garden an outback wonderland. The house holds a beautiful view of the east MacDonnell ranges in a very quiet area. Secluded walks are very special and unique where you might see kangaroos, dingos or goannas and many birds such as red winged black cockatoos and the beautiful splendid blue fairy wren. There is chooks, a turtle, and a duck . The home has many native birds who spend much of the day gracing us with their varied songs. You can discover some of Alices' beautiful secret valleys while walking. it is close enough to walk to the famous Emily Gap or climb the MacDonnell Range and take in an endless view of the Central Australian Desert. I can provide meals fresh from garden when in season. Helpers must like outdoor style of living as accommodation is a caravan with outdoor undercover hang out area and a composting toilet. O...

My farm boarders the Paparoa National Park and only a few minutes walk to fantastic beaches. The spectacular Nile valley caves are only 5 minutes away. I prefer one person at a time, although will consider two and at least 1 weeks stay. I would like to have plenty of notice before you arrive. You must be Gay friendly.

Love to host a strong guy or 2, or a couple that have some gardening/farming experience to help out around the nurdery/property or has carpentry to replace some trim and architraves or welding skills (projects include welding some pipe/RHS to make a few spinning shooting targets and maybe construct a beer keg smoker...and of course a bit of a spin for some snorkelling and fishing around the islands and reefs in the boats... Volunteers can use their time here to sign off for 7 days a week towards their 88 days 2nd or 3rd year visa sign off and we have helped many backpackers secure a second/third year visa as we are registered primary producers in the correct postcode for "disaster relief". Please make sure you let us know you are looking to get your visa days signed off so we can provide appropriate work from the cyclone recovery list...also be sure to answer the questions at the end of this description in your initial email to us... Travelers should choose my place because it offers a calm, friendly, and comfortable home in the Dublin Suburbs 10 minute train ride to City Centre. You’ll be surrounded by plants, nature, and good company 🌿. The tasks are light and relaxed. You’ll also learn practical gardening tips and horticultural knowledge in a cozy, welcoming environment. It’s an ideal place for volunteers who enjoy peaceful living, meaningful conversations, and a warm home atmosphere. I am a well organized and responsible person. I’m an easy-going, friendly host who enjoys gardening and evening chats 😊. I value respect, honesty, and a relaxed environment. Volunteers can expect to be treated kindly and fairly, with plenty of support and patience. House also has a permanent tenant, Gloria from Italy (early 30's) who has been here over a year. The help is quite easy and low-stress. I’m happy to share my horticultural knowledge, including tips and tricks for getting the best performance from different plants 🌱. T...

Hello potential next guests. My wife (Kylie) and I (Richard) are looking for our next guests/helpers to assist us with the day-to-day running of our home, but mainly helping with repair and maintenance work on our organic dairy farm located near the township of Waihi with several beaches close by, the closest being less than 10 minutes away which is an awesome surfing beach although we don’t surf ourselves. We are looking for a male/female couple to help us and the only reason we say a M/F couple is we would like two helpers but only have one room to offer with a queen-sized bed so helpers will have to share a bed. We will also give preference to people with experience with any of the tasks listed but we are happy to teach anyone eager and willing to learn. Things we would appreciate help with are listed below. Some tasks will require you to use and operate both battery-powered and petrol-powered tools so at least one helper must be willing to help with using these tools. Some housewo...

Lifestyle farmstay helpers - we are looking for a couple now for at least 3 weeks We are a couple in our 50's that live on a lifestyle property under the wonderful Mount Tamahanga, near the Te Araroa Trail. We have a cat, chickens and some sheep. Half of our land is New Zealand native bush that is busy regenerating, the other half is pasture and gardens. Big Omaha is about 1hr +\- NE of Auckland. We are keen to have 2 helpers (couple preferably) for work on our property ie, tidy up of the property, weeding, mulching, planting, gardening, etc. The property has a lot of clearing to be done, quite a few planting projects and although not organic we like to consider permaculture on our land. We would like to do one project at a time with your stay of a month at a time. We are looking for anyone who is fit, has initiative, willing to work in all weather, can complete a job to a good standard and who is comfortable getting their hands dirty. We have a small but warm, comfortable home where...

Transforming a summer house into a place for living organically. Now the winter of our discontent is ending, transformed into a glorious spring by this Galician sun; and ....sometimes, the clouds that darkened our home disappear into the deep heart of the flat lands.... So it's time to get to work in the garden and lay cement in some places. Some tasks (not all) can be somewhat boring such as cutting and stacking firewood, removing, digging, collecting vegetable remains,... I appreciate the dexterity in physical and manual works and you need to be fit and able to use your strength efficiently. Hi, I'm looking for creative minds efficient bodies who would like to get involved on an sustainable country house project, with some animals and plenty of work to do. There's a protected little forest surrounding the house with small wild animals, and 6 domestic geese, chickens, dogs and two cats. I need help with many things; work on the greenhouse which I have designed by myself, plant...

Looking for help in the garden over winter for a week or so from May to July. We are on a two acre property, in South Gippsland, near Wilsons Promontory, with two golden retrievers and a bordoodle, a cat, chickens, Alpacas, sheep and bees. We currently have a large pile needing mulching, wood to cut up and some gardening. I am looking for some help with these jobs around the property for around 10 hours a week. Otherwise you would be free to explore this lovely area. Wilson's Prom is one of Australia's loveliest national parks, surrounded by a wild coastline. We have two guest rooms and separate bathroom, with shared kitchen and living area.

This is a Standardbred Race Horse (Harness Racing) farm at the foot of Tamborine Mountain. Located 45 minutes from Brisbane in the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland. The closest train station is Beenleigh. Your own car is a plus. We welcome working holiday visa holders with good horse experience and most importantly a passion for horses !! In order to learn your daily task, routine and horses personalities, we will ask you to stay a minimum of 3 weeks. Long stays are really welcome. Your role on the farm would be helping with the daily care of our racehorses. It's an everyday job starting depending of the sun (4.30am in summer and later on winter time). We start each morning training the horses, washing them and feeding them. All the retired horses need to be feed and watered as well. We need to feed and water all the horses again each night before dark. The ideal helpers will be positive, willing and with a some decent english. Because it’s a 30 hec property and there is always some...

Kia ora Helpxers, We invite you to come and be our Helpxer/s and enjoy our wonderful, warm and sunny location with a spectacular view of Tasman Bay. Our place is just 7km from central Nelson. The Nelson Tasman region is a very popular region for travellers, with access to the Abel Tasman National Park being just over an hour away. From our place, you can ride the bicycle trail into town, taking about 20 minutes, or there is a bus stop not far away, or even better, if you have your own transport. We designed and built our own passive solar house, constructed from Adobe Earth Blocks, a sustainable and eco-friendly method of building, using local materials such as clay and straw. It keeps everyone cool on the hot days and warm and dry on the coolest! Our preference is to host you for up to one week or more if it suits. We ask for four hours helping out each day, but are flexible for longer days, so you may like to take a day or two off to explore our beautiful region. We have a few p...

Looking for a lovely volunteer to join us and our animals. AVAILABILITY FROM the middle of May. Please contact us if you are interested in helping look after our wonderful animals. Aloha and welcome to my Hawaiian-owned and operated farmstay, a small, homesteading project rooted in Native Hawaiian values, sustainability, and a true farm-to-table way of life. My goal is to grow, harvest, and share food directly from the ʻāina, providing nourishment for ourselves and our La Hui. while learning how to live simply, mindfully, and in harmony with the land. Situated on one acre on the east side of Hawaii. This māla produces tropical fruits, heirloom vegetables, and fresh eggs, all cultivated with care, presence, and respect for indigenous land stewardship practices. Helpers are invited to participate in planting, tending, harvesting, and preparing meals together, gaining hands-on knowledge of self-sufficiency, food sovereignty, and sustainable living. This is not a tourist experience, but a cultural exchange centered on healing through food, community, and Mālama i ke ʻĀina—caring for the land so it may care for us in return.

We are a small-scale, organic vegetable farm in Palmer, Alaska. We grow an array of beautiful produce which includes carrots, tomatoes, strawberries, zucchini, brussel sprouts, romanesco, broccoli, potatoes, rhubarb, onions, beets, and many more. All of the vegetables we sell at local farmers markets are grown by us and are free of pesticides, GMOs, and chemicals. We not only believe that people should feel connected to their food, but we also feel that it should be delicious, healthy, and accessible. Work on the farm varies by season. In the Spring we spend our time prepping the field, sewing seeds, growing transplants, cultivating those seeds in the field, weeding, and watering. As we move into summer and fall helpers will have the opportunity to harvest and sell the fruits and vegetables that have been growing the past few months at the local farmers’ markets.

I have a property on the edge of Havelock North in Hawkes Bay.I need help in the gardens and around the property..Helpers have their own very comfortable and self contained accommodation .They are welcome to use the swimming pool and tennis court. The work is varied and not too strenuous. In the past some of my helpers have done their chores while also working in paid employment and I am flexible to manage these situations. My helpers all seem to love the food we eat- I’m a hunter gatherer and we eat lots of food like fish and home grown vegetables.. Couples are welcome. The property is within walking distance of the Havelock North village. Bikes are available for use. Havelock North is a vibrant town in one of New Zealand’s most attractive and liveable provinces. Now that Autumn has arrived there is lots to do here like sweeping up fallen leaves and building a new vegetable garden. My helpers only need to help me for 4 hours a day- in return you’ll get free lodgings in a comfortable r...

hello, I prefer requests that are for the near future, I don't like to plan too far ahead. This is an organic farm on a sheltered inlet, with horses, sheep, chickens, orchards, & gardens.. Needing help with keeping the grounds beautiful, repairs, building projects, harvesting, weeding, pruning, planting, and animal care. Near a busy village, bicycles offered, canoes, there are buses to take you around the island, hiking, swimming, artisans, markets. Sunsets are wonderful. The seaside jewel cabin is located in a private seaside spot with a bathhouse and kitchen nearby. The exchange is ideally for 2 people to volunteer 1.5 hrs. per day without food supplied. The work involves cleaning up after the horses or sheep (scooping poop) in the barn or on the grounds, then various projects for the balance of 1.5 hrs. You can get a part time job on Saltspring as many jobs are available. This island is very popular with the biggest problem being lack of accommodation, so helping at the farm gives ...

I am looking for people that are passionate about dogs and like to spend time and work with dogs. A pack of 24 huskies is something different than having a pet dog at home. You will be able to join our animal assisted programs with kids and young adults and learn about it. I am educated in dog physiotherapy as well and there is the possibility to learn in this field as well. Beside the main topic the huskies we have bee hives and produce our own honey. There is a big garden with fruits and vegetables that needs maintainance. To sum it up our work here is mainly outdoors with nature and animals. Every day is different so its not possible to give you a long term daily structure in advance. There are some everyday tasks in the dogcare but the rest of the work depends on the weather and the season. As we live in a small village the main freetime activities are biking and hiking. More freetime options you find in cities around in your days off. Vienna is quite close and its possible to ta...

We are a mature aged couple working from home and are looking to find an enthusiastic couple, or single person, who can help with general garden maintenance , eg weeding, spraying blackberries and wood splitting etc. In return, we are offering a private room and own bathroom ( see in photos below) in our lovely home. Accomodation and all meals are provided. ( free wi-fi is also available). We are in a quiet and secluded bush setting, and often have kangaroos and wallabies feeding on our property, but still only 3km from the main highway and station. (Melb CBD is 1 hour via train.) It is essential that you are a dog lover! (We have 2) Our 2 Whippets are quite old now, but very friendly and lazy! This would be an excellent opportunity for anyone requiring 2 weeks of accommodation, possibly longer, to share our easy going family life style. We are DEFINITELY a NON SMOKING household, and would prefer not to cater for vegetarians only. The work involves weeding, moving mulch, splitting...

Experience with horses is useful but not necessary as long as you are happy to care for them. You will live as part of the family - during your stay, our home will be your home. We are a married couple living on a property with our DOGS, HORSES and some elderly but treasured chickens. Depending on the time of year, we also run a small scale rescue and rehabilitation centre for hedgehogs. There are stunning views looking out over a Devon Wildlife Nature Reserve and beautiful countryside. We live in a very attractive rural area of Devon on the outskirts of a beautiful old village called DOLTON (please look on "Google Earth") about a 45 minute drive from Dartmoor National Park. The village has a very friendly and active community, a church, 2 excellent traditional pubs, a post office and a small shop AND ex...
