Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . Located 12 minutes the pristine beach’...

Hi, I live in a modern bungalow, high on the Knockmealdown mountains, called "THE VEE", a very scenic area, covered in wild rhododendrons which flower May/ June. This small holding is friendly, warm, chaotic, fun, flexible, hard working place, full of laughter and accommodates all the animals below. These animals are my children and come first, their needs are paramount. 8 dogs and 3 puppies , 8 cats and lots of chickens, 49 ducks, 1pigs and 1 piglet , 31 ewes, 3 rams, 2 weather's and 2 lambs, I have two children in their 30's who live and work in manchester. they visit when they can. My mother stays here permanently and is a great baker of scones and pies when not taking a holiday in hospital. Hahah She loves playing cards and word games, ideal for learning the language. She requires a bit of company during the day as she is 98 and quite frail these days. . She is able to do most things for herself but requires a little attention from time to time. We often have a jigsaw on t...

A room is available for your homestay. Because of the help I would like to ask, mature ladies who have enough experience/knowledge of handling house holding chores and cooking are welcome. No problem if you cannot cook Japanese dishes. Vegetarian is welcome only from summer to autumn. It's easy to talk about next step of your homestay if how long from when, how you can help, what you want to do during homestay in addition to help works are written in your request. I will reply to only applicants who read my profile and understand/satisfy requirements. I'm a 67 years old male living alone and have a small private organic vegetable garden. I am happy if someone can help me to maintain vegetable garden and household chores including cooking. I also can enjoy helping my guest to learn Japanese language. We can visit at sightseeing places/aesthetic landscape when we have free time. At the same time, I'm interested to hear your stories about helpx and learn foreign languages as well ...

Hi there everyone, I am Mark and we are looking for people to help with our on-going farm project (based on a permaculture ideas): Working on our water system, in the fields and garden, fruit trees, looking after the sheep, ducks and chickens, our on going alternative energy source, and now just starting on the communal and private spaces that are to be rebuilt. etc...... We also work at local events with lights, electrics, compost toilet rentals and generally helping out, from the local may-poll dance to concerts and working in the theatre. The Key Word the Discribes the Farm is "Autonomy" (i feel that autonomous people can come together to create community) We are all individual cells in a greater growing expanding living organism called humanity, that is slowly coming to recognise itself as a whole and no longer separate and alone. Please note: for high maintenance people this is not for you. Be prepared for OFF-GRID in nature experience ! A Quick Note: The shower h...

Hello, I live in the beautiful Charente region 16140, and am looking for help with all sorts of jobs, from feeding the donkeys and other animals to painting and helping in the garden 😊 I am slowly bringing this lovely old château back to life after being empty and abandoned for many years. I enjoy growing my own organic vegetables and looking after my animals. I recently planted an orchard and have lots of other projects I'd love your help with. In the past I've shared some wonderful times with helpers, many of whom remain friends and have visited several times. In return I offer a comfortable bedroom in the chateau with 3 meals a day, and cooked as much as possible with our fresh produce. I would like your help for 5 hours a day with weekends off. There is lots to explore like little villages and towns and the river. The coast is about an hour's drive away. The Charente river is at the bottom of the garden and there are some lovely walks right outside the door, there are also b...

Our 17-acre property is surrounded by forest, wildlife, and plenty of rivers, creeks, and waterfalls—perfect in summer 😃💕🦋 We run a small animal sanctuary with rescued and rehabilitated animals 🤎 Many have had tough lives, so a love and kindness for animals is essential. It’s has a simple outdoor kitchen area, and an outdoor dry composting Loo we just had built…. the studio is a double garage and It’s a work in progress, and we’d love help making it more comfortable. We are a couple with a young child that connected through our passion for nature, self-discovery and self-sufficiency. The objectives of the project are: to know the human being that we are in its entirety. Approach the natural environment trying to maintain the principles of permaculture, integrating and contributing what we can to improve the environment. The spread of this way of life, as an alternative way to change things. It is an ideal place for those who want to have a good experience in contact with nature, surrounded by forest and life everywhere. We offer the opportunity to learn how to live "off-grid", generating our own electricity, heating, water supply, food, natural medicine, health maintenance and quality of life. In short, being as self-sufficient as possible and being able to spend more time on self-knowledge. The place is a 1.3ha property full of olive trees, pines, oaks and berry bushes. There is also a creek with swimming areas, little ponds and waterfalls that ...

Hello. I’m Paolo, a recently retired musician. I live in a mountain area made of rounded, wooded peaks in the inland of the Italian Riviera, at the point of connection between two regions, Tuscany and Liguria, widely renown for art towns (Pisa, Lucca, Florence among others) and picturesque fishing villages. It’s a quiet setting to get away from it all, with a 360 degree view stretching for tens of miles and right down to the Mediterranean Sea, only 25 km/15 miles away. Here is where the Alta Via (High Route of the Ligurian Mountains) starts, a long-distance waymarked hiking trail for nature lovers. I speak Italian (native), English (fluent) and French (fluent). I’m looking for volunteers who are self-motivated and good with their hands, willing to help me with general maintenance around my property in exchange for food and lodging in a friendly environment. I appreciate a baggage of life experience that is not too small, so volunteers in their mid to late twenties at least and in t...

I am an aquatic ecologist who has fortunately been working out of our coastal rain-forest property for 35 years. Driven by strong curiosity, I have recently been developing long-term data sets on the animal life in the forest that surrounds our home, plus on tropical marine fish that are steadily increasing in numbers under the influence of climate change at the nearby very beautiful Seal Rocks area (for details click on my website link below). We have 20 acres with 2 acres cleared and the remainder moist tall forest and rainforest. It is on the coast 3 hrs drive north of Sydney (1.5km from Smiths Lake; 30km south of Forster) See my blog link below to glimpse the accommodation, typical work and fun. We have a 180 squ m vegetable garden at times needing attention which has been enclosed to keep out our friends the wallabies (pademelons), possums, parrots and native bush turkeys. Bush regeneration is another activity as well as assisting in ecological surveys of local rivers when t...

Presently I am teaching Spanish on line and English to kids here in the mountains. *My place it's two hours from Cajamarca which is on the way to the gocta falls and the jungle. * Room is provided, two hours of help a day needed.

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. Please note, we cannot host anyone with any pre existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions). We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our doorstep, hiking trails through the mountains and forests, cycling paths, and skiing in the...

Works to be done, mainly gardening, some DIY, some sewing, some artistic or creative projects. Will be hosting when temperature is rising again (spring) due to very slow renovation of the part where helpers sleep indoors…. So I hope you like camping! In mid 2014 I bought a terrific place from the family only 10km away from Eindhoven in the midst of a village. This place is gonna be a beautiful place where people can take indoor and outdoor yoga lessons overlooking the fields. There's gonna be a garden for fruits and vegetables and herbs, a small campground for a couple of tents and two bedrooms for people who wanna sleep indoors. But before this is reality, a lot of work needs to be done! Ooh and I got a new plan, a nice wooden house in the midst of the garden... And due to technical problems I switched to another site since 2017… and hosted another 200 work awayhands from all over. But I was curious again to this site now it looks improved. But can’t host this winter due to ren...

Looking for a helper for APRIL and JUNE 2026 please and thank you! I used HelpX quite a lot back in 2014, while I was backpacking around Australia and had some great experiences and some wonderful hosts and I'm looking forward to meeting more wonderful people and being a wonderful host! I bought a fixer upper house in 2023, moved in 2024 and have been renovating it to turn it into a small bespoke massage and yoga training centre ever since. Currently renovating the kitchen and side room (see floor plans) and the joiner is coming on Wednesday 15th April to put the sink back in properly and finish off a few other bits in the hallway and entrance way. While I'm renovating the house I'm working in a children's nursery as lunch cover/supply staff. I'm at work for 3-6 hours a day and out of the house for an extra hour while walking to and from work. I get up around 7am to feed the cats and myself. Monsieur Cuddles will usually request to leave his room around 6am, so I let him roam the ...

We can use your help for minimally three weeks. At this time we could use the help of someone who likes to cook. You would be of great help if you would cook one vegetarian meal a day (not in the weekends) for the three of us: you, Astrid and Thomas. We have no supermarket at hand for forgotten ingredients, so you have to like it to be creative with what is available. Apart from the cooking, it would be great if you would help with the routine tasks: taking care of the chickens and the sheep, do some pruning, carrying stuff, cleaning, irrigating, harvesting, etc. etc. ======================= Who are we looking for? The helper (in exceptional occasions two) we are looking for likes to live a basic life, and enjoys being outside. Enjoyed nature as a child already? Then you will find our place wonderful. There is some clothing for you but not in all sizes, so please bring your own working clothes, shoes and rainwear. We ask you to help us 25 hours a week. We have helpers since 2010. ...

Hello, I have a beautiful home with sea view near Oslo, Norway. I am a professional teacher in meditation, healing, and personal development. The house is nested in nature, a few minutes walk down to the beach, possible walks in the forest and deers are often seen around. Still we have facilities nearby like supermarket and library. Oslo is 1 hour by public transport and 45 mns by car. I have a parking for cars or vans. I try to eat and live conscious and organic. I would love to have like minded people helping with practical things in the house and garden, as well as all skills related to my online activity : website, YouTube channel, Podcast, conscious marketing, etc. You can have a taste of what I do by typing Paul Vishal on the net. I can also share about my native language French, my experience in Norway and traveling/teaching around the world. I am caring with my guests and wish we have all a positive and memorable experience (see the testimonials). Let me know if ques...

I have an opening for a volunteer person to help me with everyday life of looking after animals and some gardening, weeding & basic maintenance of the farm and some house duties in COLLINSVILLE north Qld. I can only accommodate one person. This is a great opportunity to get away from the city life and enjoy some country living. I have cats horses and chooks. There will be horse riding/training that you can help me with , I do western ranch & trail training, so I prefer someone that has riding experience 😀🐎 Meals and accommodation wifi are supplied. Accommodation is a little caravan close by the house, which has a mini art gallery. ( if you like painting or doing craft we can do some painting ) Prefer 1 month stay, but shorter stays like 2 weeks are ok too. We live in a slightly isolated quiet area being 80km from the nearest big town & the coast( and the beautiful beaches of Bowen in the Whitsundays !😊) but do live in a small town where we have 2 supermarkets, post office , ha...

Help wanted between now and the 10th May We are a retired couple who enjoy meeting new people. Myself, Philip, a retired marine engineer who enjoys working around the property with various projects on the go. My wife Kaye, a retired administration officer, enjoys knitting, needle work and doing jigsaws. We both enjoy relaxing and playing board games in the evenings. We have a steady stream of visitors to our property. We love Asian food and have spent time in South Korea Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, and Singapore. This is an exciting opportunity to have an experience that will stay with you throughout your life. Our Foundation aims at helping rural children receive a qualitative outstanding education. We have a volunteer teaching program to assist rural teachers and children get exposure to foreign languages and cultures. Because English is the second language in Thai schools, we concentrate on improving the English language skills of both rural teachers and children. At present, we aim to help 4 public elementary schools (grades 1 - 6) close to Chiang Mai. We are currently taking applications for volunteers who would available to start sometime between mid-May and the end of June and commit to at least 8 weeks . We are looking for volunteers to teach English only. Couples are welcome as well. NOTE: We do not charge volunteers any fees for staying with us. The generous gift of your time and dedication is all the donation we will ask of you. We provide the volunteers lodging and meals in ...

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

Check out our fantastic reviews to see what a great time helpers have had here. We offer a warm, welcoming home with a beautiful garden in easy-going Rotorua. PLEASE READ OUR PROFILE CAREFULLY BEFORE CONTACTING US. UPDATE: 🌟 We could really do with a strong, willing person to assist with a complete re-roof job in the first week of June. Helping Marcus to lift materials up to the roofer. 🌟 Early August, and energetic person to support Marcus in the madness and clean-up of our living area when builders rip down the old ceiling, and replace it with a new one! Then to help paint the new ceiling (Marcus can patiently teach you how to be an excellent painter). Minimum age: 25, with good English. Accommodation: Excellent accommodation - immaculate Airbnb standard room and house. Your own private double bedroom in a spacious home with a lovely garden. Work exchange: only 3 hours per day, 5 days a week. 9am start, it flies by and leaves us all free to enjoy the afternoon and e...

If you love wildlife, the outdoors, great views and good food, send us an email (only emails from this site will be responded to). This is very much a cultural exchange (for us and for you) as you will be in our family home sharing our lifestyle. NO SMOKERS OR VEGETARIANS PLEASE. We prefer our helpers to stay 2 weeks or more. Work outside is a major part of what we do so expect to be outside on a rural property as part of the experience. Please message us through this platform to allow us to view your profile The property is located 60km South of Brisbane and 20km West of the Gold Coast on the upper North slope of Mt Tamborine, 320m above sea level. We are surrounded by National Parks and abundant wildlife. The property is 6Ha with a sub-tropical climate and has great country views to the North up to 140km on a clear day. We also have a tennis court (I will always give preference to tennis players who love to cook and eat great food), an outdoor cob pizza oven, chooks/ducks, two Rh...

Hello Welcome to our listing. We hope we can provide you with a positive experience whilst you stay with us and help with our various projects. We would prefer a couple, or two friends but a single person is welcomed to apply too, who can help with looking after our home and garden... What we are looking for at the moment is some help with cleaning, cooking, gardening and general DIY as we will be doing quite a bit of renovating our cabins. We have space now for a minimum of two weeks up to 5 months for the right people. A bit about us: We are a family of 4 and Brew our cat (this includes a new baby who joined us in November last year.) with other adult children popping in from time to time. We are living in a beautiful part of Devon, at the edge of fields and stunning views but very close to Totnes, one of the most alternative towns in the UK. We are a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 primary age children) who live on a small lifestyle farm in Mahana in the Tasman region. We are 40 minutes' drive from the start of the beautiful Abel Tasman national park. The house is modern and warm and we enjoy having people from other cultures (or Kiwis) to stay. We are a busy family juggling family life, farming and other external employment. We could do with a hand around the garden and intermittently on the farm. Most work is relatively easy such as clearing weeds from banks and barked areas, running the dogs, helping with farm tasks, pruning trees etc. Other farm jobs could include helping with stock, fencing assistance and feeding animals. We can find wet weather jobs too. There is a spare room in the house where one person or a couple can stay. We would expect 4 hours a day work in exchange for accommodation and food but this can be a mixture of many tasks and could include food prep and housework if of interest. We source our own meat ...

Set in a hidden valley of Woonona, this 1 acre oasis is on a journey from forgotten, overgrown grassland to Permaculture wonderland! We have been practicing aspects of sustainability for over 15 years including Permaculture gardening, sustainable building and creating community. Sarah has a deep level of knowledge about market gardening, soil building and organic food & is a qualified Permaculture teacher. Ben is skilled at building with recycled, reclaimed and natural materials, tending fruit trees and teaching ecology & sustainability. The property is located about 5 minutes bike ride from lovely beaches and 5 minutes walk from local shops and access to buses into Wollongong. It`s also only 1.5hrs from Sydney by train. We spent 2010 WWOOFing around the planet with our two children, so we understand how to be good hosts. LOOKING FOR HELP FROM 15 APRIL FOR APPROX 1 WEEK. In return for 4 hours help a day I offer you accommodation and all meals in a sunny, warm home where you will have your own bedroom (queen size bed) and own bathroom with the added privacy of being in a separate wing of my house. My sunny home sits atop a hill from which you will have a magnificent view of the township of Blenheim to Cook Strait and the hills of the North Island beyond. Of course if you would prefer to work a full day in order to have a day off in which you could explore the nearby Marlborough Sounds, cycle the wine trails, or walk or climb on any of the formed tracks in this area, that would be just fine. My 40 ha property is a sheep/beef farm most of which is leased. I tend a large garden and care for the drive and tracks, drainage and irrigation and deal with fallen trees. It is situated in the midst of vineyards in the Brancott Valley 13km from Blenheim (pop 30,000) which contests the annual sunshine record eve...

She requires a bit of company during the day as she is 98 and quite frail these days. . She is able to do most things for herself but requires a little attention from time to time.

Accommodation: You’ll stay in a large art-studio-style space used to create and do workshops at some point . It’s has a simple outdoor kitchen area, and an outdoor dry composting Loo we just had built…. the studio is a double garage and It’s a work in progress, and we’d love help making it more comfortable. Our property is surrounded by forests so there are native rats, possums snakes etc and sometimes you may get a visit so if you enjoy the wild this is for you 💚 we provide a fridge so people don’t leave their food out in the open to attract wildlife.

I am currently living in a town called Cajabamba. I have a piece of land twenty minutes from it where I have tara and avocado fruit trees. I live a simple happy life being within nature and I feel very connected to it. I love animals and minimalistic living. I know this lovely area where I can take my guests for nice hikes and visits to nearby hot springs. I am a Spanish-English teacher. I taught Spanish in Europe for four years and then I moved to the mountains in Peru in 2019.

Looking for a lovely volunteer to join us and our animals. AVAILABILITY FROM the middle of APRIL. We are fully booked until then. Please contact us if you are interested in helping look after our wonderful animals. Experience with horses is useful but not necessary as long as you are happy to care for them. You will live as part of the family - during your stay, our home will be your home. We are a married couple living on a property with our DOGS, HORSES and some elderly but treasured chickens. Depending on the time of year, we also run a small scale rescue and rehabilitation centre for hedgehogs. There are stunning views looking out over a Devon Wildlife Nature Reserve and beautiful countryside. We live in a very attractive rural area of Devon on the outskirts of a beautiful old village called DOLTON (please look on "Google Earth") about a 45 minute drive from Dartmoor National Park. The village has a very friendly and active community, a church, 2 excellent traditional pubs, a p...

We also breed short-haired collies – depending on the timing, there might be puppies 🐶 🛠 What we are currently doing We are currently renovating part of our house ourselves and are looking for hands-on support, especially with practical, building-related tasks. 👉 Important: You should have experience using tools and enjoy practical work. You don’t need to be a professional, but you should know how to use tools like a drill, saw or measuring tape. 🛠 Tasks helping with renovation work (carrying panels, cutting, installing) assisting with simple construction tasks occasional help with the horses 👉 about 4–5 hours per day, 5 days a week 🏡 What you can expect your own apartment with kitchen peaceful, rural lifestyle lots of nature and an...

We are involved in holistic work with families, from pregnancy onwards. In exchange for 15 hours of work a week per person w...

We love sharing lifestyle and experiences, so hopefully we can help you explore this wonderful part of the world. The current projects involve a range of gardeni...
