I've previously been a Helpx host with my family winery and vineyard, as well as my farm property south of Adelaide. These days the winery is winding down, but in the past 18 months I've tripled the farm size to 130Ha (325ac). I'm currently growing hay and agisting sheep, with dozens of kangaroos for company. The farm is minutes from Victor Harbor (population 16,000), but the feeling is remote, as neighbouring houses can't be seen. The big projects at the moment are fencing and laying pipework for water for the sheep. There's also things like cutting firewood, machinery maintenance, road building, shed building and looking after a patch of native scrub. I have a covered orchard and the beginnings of a veggie garden, but I have no idea what I'm doing, so someone who could help with that would be much appreciated. The property is off-grid, but has all the modern conveniences of power, water, heating and air conditioning, all of which I've done myself. Most of the time you would be wo...

We live in a nature sanctuary on Corfu island in Greece. we are a COMMUNITY of PLANTS, ANIMALS AND HUMAN BEINGS, who try to live together IN THE SPIRIT OF NATURE. we are organized similar to a zen monastery. yet we are not affiliated to any religious body, but to the holy body of our mother earth. the earth takes care of us. the earth gives to us what we need. she gives us and she for-gives us – she never asks for money… we admire the communities in nature (ecosystems), where all members balance their needs and gifts in a healthy way, without money, without machines and without chemicals. here in NATURE’S SANCTUARY we try to live in harmony with nature. we try to support and protect all our nature brothers and sisters, who share this sanctuary with us… it is a CHALLENGE TO LIVE IN HARMONY WITH NATURE. it is a challenge to protect and support all nature beings in a way, that they have the chance to live in their own natural born communities. we are looking for people, who want to take...

Hi. We are a fun, friendly household in the sunny Bay of Plenty! I'm a Drama & English teacher and Blair is an electrician. My husband and I have 2 fun, adventurous girls, we also have a dog and cat. We enjoy biking, baking, board games and picnics at the beach, amongst other things. We would love to host people who are honest, friendly, independent, hard-workers and are interested in meeting new people and enjoying what Tauranga has to offer. In exchange for 4 hours work per day, you will receive free accommodation, breakfast and dinner(please provide your own lunch and snacks) and wifi. Work includes domestic-type chores; mainly cleaning, cooking and possibly baby-sitting - helps if you like children and animals. We have a cat and golden retriever. It is definitely easier if you have a car, although buses are available from here. We had a homestay from China for a year who found their way round on the buses fine but it does take a while. Happy for any amount of time e.g. 1 or 2 w...

Dear friends and volunteers, as our a relaxing time with swimming and boat rides during the hot summer months is going to end, we are looking for helpers for the automne season. We usually start cleaning the field in September, we have to get rid of all stingy plants and twigs on the ground in order to put the nets later on without any damage. We are planning to start collecting the olives by middle of October, depending on the weather conditions, and continue in several turns till November. Once the harvest season is over, we have to cut the branches and put the smaller ones into the woodchipper, spread organic fertiliser, and repair some terraces. You don´t have to have any special knowledge or skills, we are happy about anyone with energy and supporting us while spreading good vibes. So don't hesitate to contact us when you are around, or you want to stay with us, helping for a minimum of 10 days, preferable around 2 weeks. * * * Kalimera, we are an Austrian couple living in...

Welcome to Sygard Toft Farm We are Konstanse and Eirik, the new generation taking over Sygard Toft, a historic family farm in the beautiful Gudbrandsdalen valley of Norway. Konstanse's family has lived on this farm for many generations, and we are proud to continue caring for it and developing it for the future. The farm is currently going through an exciting transition. We are renovating buildings, improving the property, developing new projects, and preparing the farm for the years ahead. Because of this, we are mainly looking for practical, hands-on people who enjoy building, repairing, creating, and helping bring ideas to life. What kind of help are we looking for? Projects vary throughout the year, but may include: General farm and property maintenance Building and renovation projects Construction of cabins, greenhouses, and outdoor facilities Work in and around our large barn and event spaces Painting, organizing, cleaning, and practical tasks Firewood, forestry, and ou...

My husband and I are in our early 60s but still very active. We have a large stone house in the Cevennes national park and we're looking for help keeping the land at bay! We also have a few projects like laying paving and renovating our shutters, which we would like to do over this autumn period. On any (rare) wet days there are always projects inside the house, including painting ceilings and walls and removing some damaged plaster from the walls in one room. We would ideally like someone who can help with manual work (I have had an operation on my shoulder so I'm left doing cooking duties), for instance helping my husband to renovate our terrace roof. We think there is about 2 weeks' work. I am a retired Music and English teacher as well as having done 18 years in the Finance sector as HR Manager for my sins. My husband is a retired IT and Project Manager for large events having survived the rock and roll era touring with various bands. We have an independent apartment with full Wi...

I am an aquatic ecologist who has fortunately been working out of our coastal rain-forest property for 35 years. Driven by strong curiosity, I have recently been developing long-term data sets on the animal life in the forest that surrounds our home, plus on tropical marine fish that are steadily increasing in numbers under the influence of climate change at the nearby very beautiful Seal Rocks area (for details click on my website link below). We have 20 acres with 2 acres cleared and the remainder moist tall forest and rainforest. It is on the coast 3 hrs drive north of Sydney (1.5km from Smiths Lake; 30km south of Forster) See my blog link below to glimpse the accommodation, typical work and fun. We have a 180 squ m vegetable garden at times needing attention which has been enclosed to keep out our friends the wallabies (pademelons), possums, parrots and native bush turkeys. Bush regeneration is another activity as well as assisting in ecological surveys of local rivers when t...

I can't see the world, but the world can come see me. First and foremost, I want to thank all the helpers who came from United Kingdom-England, France, Belgium, Italy, China, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. Welcome Helpers. I live in the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia. Peaceful Hollow is quite with no neighbors in sight. There are no city lights, and you can see every star on a clear night! Pleaseful Hollow consists of: my cabin,/workshop with a private guestroom with private entrance on the second floor, and a very small guest cabin. My daughter and family moved here much later and have their own home. There is a lot you can be involved in, knowledge to share, friendships to build, and opportunities for growth. Below are routines and some projects. I would love to involve you! - Caring for honey bees, chickens, cats, dogs, one registered pure American Mulefoot boar pig, one gilt pig berkshire-tamworth with spots.. i am a fourth-generation beekeeper and has much ...

Visit the Thames Coast on the beautiful Coromandel Peninsula! Enjoy home brew, home made breads and fresh fish.. Bush crash up the stream, swim at the beach across the road, come fishing with me on the kayaks. Take the bikes, pedal 2km to Waiomu; then tramp/jog to some beautiful Kauri (1/2 to 3/4hr). Do an overnighter at The Pinnacles Hut up the Kauranga Valley if yr into vast iconic views and like tramping (you need to book). If you have wheels you can do great day trips around the Peninsula. And if yr more chill, Thames has some great op-shops or hangout here and make art. Debs & I are happy boomers on the endless holiday, loving every second left ! However, we seriously need help with the massive task of 296: gardens to create & jungle to clear ! We are keen to host people who want to help, who are comfortable speaking English (or trying) and value simple routines and shared respect. When Debs & I started hosting in 2025 we moved to the sleepout making it possible to host he...

What are your plans for the first three weeks this September? We would welcome someone who would enjoy being in the Highlands. Equally if you're planning for 2027, do get in touch as well as it's great to get things organised in advance. We need extra assistance, We could offer free accommodation and food to someone suitable, particularly if you could assist with looking after our Garden Gatehouse where people buy tickets for the garden, but you'd have to speak good English. Have a think about it! We are in the NW Highlands near Skye on the Kyle-Inverness railway line with our very own request stop so easy to access but generally quite remote. This place would suit an individual as space is limited. You would have your own accommodation. Beautiful estate with large garden open to the public and four holiday cottages situated in wild country near the Isle of Skye. Garden open from April to October. Holiday cottages available all year. Do you want to explore the Isle of Skye...

We are both retired and live in a converted barn in about two acres of land. The nearest town is Villefranche de Rouergue which is ten kilometres away. We have lived in France long enough to appreciate what we call proper food so. we strive to vary the diet so that no main meal is repeated for at least 14 days (unless specially requested) It may be French, it may be British, or it may be a mixture of French and British and on occasions you will taste the local delicacies We are very flexible about working hours all we ask is that in return for five hours work per day, five days a week, at a time to suit yourself, we will provide you with good healthy tasty food and a private comfortable room which has TV and en-suite facilities, If you are a couple who wish complete privacy, we could provide you with a separate self-contained apartment. Must be non-smoker and we find that feeding vegans is difficult. Please note. If you want to practice your English, then we are your ideal hosts a...

HAPPY end of SUMMER 2026 Things have been moving along, slow but meticulously! It feels good to be making progress and I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel…on my sailboat. There are plenty of volunteer opportunities; a lot to do, at any skill level. Many projects take only 5-30 minutes to explain and easy for someone new to do the specific project well. Other projects require knowledgeable skills and other projects necessitate someone that has a fair amount of specific experience. Anyone that volunteers on my sailboat can join me sailing once my boat is back in the water later this year or at some other point in the future! I anticipate my boat will be back in the water by mid to late Autumn. If this interest you, or you have questions, contact me through HelpX or call me direct via my mobile phone (also WhatsApp number). Below is a list of some of the projects I hope to complete Install 1) solar panels 2) a DUO GEN, which produces electricity by wind & whil...

Permaculture project with idea and space to create an eco-village. The quinta is located in Alto Alentejo 2km from Portalegre. 15 hectares with magical forests and a beautiful valley provided by seventeen sources and several mines with healthy water where too people live permanently for the moment,Isabel, a communication manager and Michel, a carpenter who is the founder of the project. There is also one dog, five cats, for chickens and six sheep. The project is now in the phase when it’s open so that more people can live here. Because parts of the ruins are ready for occupancy, there is space for people who want to stay longer, which can bring new and stronger dynamics throughout the year, not like before, when there was only a lot going on in the summer months. So far there is already a beautiful gardens going on and numerous species of plants, shrubs and trees which deliver us plenty of food. We are happy when someone shows enthusiasm for the garden because this is a central part...

Hi, my name is Mary. I live on the border of NSW and Victoria, a town called Albury. There is a train service to Albury from Sydney about 9 hours and Melbourne about 5 hours train trip. I am happy to pick someone from the Albury railway station. Albury is a pretty town on the Hume Highway. It is inland on the Murray River and there are a lot of local attractions, vineyards, historical small towns, snow fields and many more, only a few hours drive. I am located in town, with the railway station and the airport not too far, about 15minutes drive. I am fully vaccinated and require the same of a helper. I only take Non-smokers (meaning you do not smoke at all, outside as well). Currently I am asking for 2.5hrs a day for board only. You can cook for yourselves, buy supplies locally and after cooking clean your area. I would like help with the garden and other general duties around the house, such as cleaning. If you are travelling this way, either going to Melbourne or locally and can hel...

I am a creative person living in Mumbai (Bombay) , India, I grew up in rural and urban natural lives. Making me experience working on farms, cities and learn some things on different levels of cultures, society differences, Indian deeper roots, religious, spiritual and positivity through life. So looking at life in its best or worst way, with in its various colourful shades. 👉🏼 For References - ask for my other volunteer site profile. 👉🏼 My passion is film making but still I am trying to develop my spiritual understanding. Sametime in support of growing world awareness of organic life or climate changes comes as a beginning of a new era.

STUNNING PLACE IN TASSIE SURROUNDED BY NATURE! Hello, it's Stephen and Philamae here. We have a beautiful rural property in Buckland, Tasmania (45mins NE from Hobart airport). The views are stunning - the accommodation is lovely and we are running it as holiday accommodation as we move towards turning it into a funky retreat & micro-wedding space. The experience of the place - and Tasmania as a whole - is soul stirring. Lots of beautiful animals surround us - sheep, wallabies, possums, echidnas, bunnies and the occasional deer. A pair of the endangered and majestic wedge-tailed eagles live 1km away and often soar above us. Our website link below has a lot more photos of our place. We have a series of 7 wellness retreats running 5 June to end August, then two more in early Dec and mid Feb 2027.: www.sherwoodloves.com.au The next specific needs are: a) any time from now onwards. - need a carpenter or builder type to help build a greenhouse out of old windows we have collected. Th...
