I have a charming, sunny, comfortable home with a lovely garden and a beautiful view over the harbour and mountains. It is very central, well connected to transport, with big parks and green belt very close. I usually only have one bed available, so mostly take 1 person at a time - only occasionally can I take 2 people. In return for two hours work in the house and garden per day, I will provide free accommodation and breakfast. I speak fluent Spanish and can help with someone learning English. I have a sociable lifestyle with many friends, and helpers are welcome to join in on some dinners. But I do need Helpxers who are independent too, since there will be times when I am very busy and not around much. If you're good at cleaning, gardening, painting and doing home maintenance and repairs around the house, that would be great. And I love good food, so good cooks are always welcome!

If you are a couple or single travelling around the South West area in a Camper Van or similar and are mostly self contained...., and you enjoy camping in a clean, safe and private natural setting - I can provide exactly that. If you and your partner would like to come, stay and help me here, please send me a message ! I can also probably help you with many things.., I might even be able to help you find local employment opportunities ! I have lived on my own little permaculture farm beside the Leeuwin/Naturaliste National Park forest since 1982. I have built my own home using local granite stone and timber( milled from the floor of my creek line). I am now fully 'off grid' in my solar active/passive house. There's still some painting(water based) work to finish the house off, plus I'm also percolating some plans to build a house connected greenhouse. I am currently seeking help from a couple of travellers for some basic property maintenance. Of course I will provide acces...

Accommodation on small farm, peaceful with lovely views, close to Dunedin City in exchange for help with Farm work, chopping firewood (easy to operate log-splitter), moving sheep from paddock to paddock, feeding stock in winter, mending fences, mowing lawns (ride-on), some housework (cleaning), occasional grooming, feeding and helping with horses. We need helpers who are energetic, honest, fun, caring, conscientious, can get on with jobs without requiring supervision and are not glued to a device! Some equestrian knowledge would be good (but not necessary). Plenty of scenic walks nearby and our beautiful beaches are not far away. Local transport (bus service) is 15 minutes walk away so own transport is recommended.

I’m Darrall, a long-time design educator (https://profiles.uts.edu.au/Darrall.Thompson/about) who now maintains a quiet coastal home and garden solo. To keep things comfortable, helpers stay in a private, self-contained cottage 20 metres from the main house, see photos (own kitchen/dining, bathroom with shower, lounge area, two beds (king-single or double), wood-burning stove, unlimited Wi-Fi, air-con heating/cooling, basic linen, access to laundry). Non-smoking, no drugs, no pets, no children. Quiet hours 10pm–7am. Couples or pairs only... your own car is recommended as there are no shops in the village of North Arm Cove. Location & perks: • 1-min walk to the Port Stephens inland sea (kayaks available; dolphins visit), 1-min walk to ~1000 acres of bushland (wallabies, birds) • 5 min drive to the M1, 20 min drive to two spectacular beaches + supermarket/shops/restaurants (Tea Gardens / Hawks Nest) Without your own car you are relying on lifts from the host. • 30 min drive to Newcastle ...

Hi, my name is Marianne. I live on a classic New Zealand "tree quarter acre section" on a north facing (all day sun) hobbit hill, looking down to Oamaru. If you arrive early enough at my kitchen window or even up on the jungle hill behind the cottage, you can see the sea and watch the sunrise. A 10 minute stroll down Eden Street gets you either to the CBD or to the shoreline. I am providing three basic meals per day as well as a comfortable and quiet room for your stay and to relax after our daily four hours of working together "out there", somewhere on some befitting project. Currently the main focus is on landscaping, forging a pathway up the hill via carving out soil on one side and adding to the other side, creating little embankment walls in the process. Most of these embankments will be made from recycled Oamaru natural stone, a few with recycled glass bottles. Our white Oamaru sandstone has attracted various sculptors to our town, because it is soft enough to be cut and carved...

Our Permaculture Bootcamp is available all year, and we have two weeks in 2025 for HelpX folks, that go at a lighter pace: May 11-17 and September 14-20. Our focus is on living the most glorious gardening life. How do we grow more food with less effort? Can we grow beautiful, lush gardens with less irrigation? Maybe even zero irrigation? What is the ultimate home design for a gardener? Can we build it exclusively out of materials that we have gardened? We manage dozens of experiments every year. All low tech. All involving gardening and natural building. Rather than a profit based organization, about 95% of the effort in the bootcamp is to benefit current boots and future boots. Expanding gardens, building infrastructure, preserving the harvest ... We have 220 acres near Missoula, Montana - adjacent to thousands of acres of forest service land. We have national/global experts in gardening and natural building stopping by for a week or two and leading people in projects. We h...

For 2 decades I ran a big guesthouse where I received travellers and also some volunteers. Now I moved to a small house in a residential area, were I will be glad to welcome volunteers to fix some things in the house. - I can receive ONE person for 1-2 weeks. I bring private room + breakfast to a help 3-4 h/day, just Monday to Friday, on mornings (possible shifts). - For other meals, we can share the expenses and -as I know my kitchen- I use to cook. Also I will give you tips on places to eat cheap, and places to visit that are not in tourist brochures. - Tasks: cleaning, painting, some repairs around the house and/or the car. I'm a retired engineer and a handyman, so you could learn new skills/ But... if you never took a broom or a hammer and you only know about management, administration or philosophy... I think this is not your place. Same if you have only one useful hand because you're 24/7 digital addict to your phone... (Don't laugh... it happens often) Saludos / Reg...

Sorry folks, but we are now fully booked until the beginning of September 2026. There may be a cancellation, but these are very rare, but if you are in the area, reach out, we love to chat :) As well as the normal homesteading tasks, if you want to learn about wine making, bee keeping, self defense, jewellery making, or help Tony with his self defense book and video courses, we could be a great match. Have a think, take a look at our reviews and if you are interested, drop us a line, *** Our beautiful countryside homestead (only 5 acres so not really a farm) is in the mountainous hills above the historic castle town of Caccamo, Sicily. It is surrounded scraggy mountains and long valley walks. It is perfect for hiking or just relaxing in the sun with a good book. Within easy traveling distance for those interested in exploring this culturally rich island, is the seaside town of Cefalù or even the main capital city of Palermo, both are easily accessible by bus and train from the lo...

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. Please note, we cannot host anyone with any pre existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions). We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our doorstep, hiking trails through the mountains and forests, cycling paths, and skiing in the...

Come join us in a peaceful, natural valley! Wake up in the morning to woodpecker sounds and birds singing, take a dip in our natural pool, and share a home-grown meal! We are at the beginning of turning a magical, abandoned piece of land into an off-grid farm. We'd love to inspire & share the experience with you while getting some support. Come join us to work on some exciting tasks we have on the land. WHAT AWAITS YOU HERE We are a young Portuguese / german couple who moved to this piece of land at the beginning of the pandemic, which pushed us to make our dream come true: Move into the forest and transform abandoned land into an off-grid farm. Here we live closer to nature, start growing some of our own food, and help take care of the forest. We live off-grid, creating our own energy and using our land's own water. We have four dogs, a cat, and 10 chickens, so if you're an animal lover, that's great! Depending on what's needed, and also your skills & motivation, you can join us on...

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to routburn and greenstone tracks.you will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. ,a bit isolated, not for the precious,no trophy hunters !! .please don`t apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only.we do not get involved with internships or visa applications.vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers ! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar ( badly ) and sing ( worse ) ,but it's all about smile not style :-) Cheers Al

We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. My name is Selly and I am the founder of an association. I live in the city of Morogoro in Tanzania, where I was born. I founded this association 4years ago with the aim of promoting access to education for children,Youth and-women in my country and hometown. Unfortunately, although Tanzania has exceptional wildlife and culture, access to education is marked by significant inequalities. Approximately 3.5 million school-age children and adolescents are not enrolled in school, and nearly 30% of children aged 5 to 14 are working, 94% of whom are in the agricultural sector. Additionally, child labor still affects approximately 4.2 million children aged 5 to 17. If you wish to get involved in our project, you are welcome, whether it be for the short or long term. For the past two years, we have regularly welcomed volunteers of all backgrounds to participate in our project, but also to discover our country, its exceptional wildlife and flora, and to exchange ideas about our culture. We live on a 5 acre hobby farm in the beautiful Huon Valley, Southern Tasmania. Our family consists of three young adult children (two live at home), two horses, many chickens, ducks, geese, goats and two gorgeous dogs. We grow organic vegetables and breed heritage chickens in an attempt to be more sustainable. Jobs involve general gardening, helping with the animals and housekeeping. If you would like a Tassie small farm experience message us with some details of the work you have previously done. We have separate accommodation, with a bathroom. All our HelpXers have loved working and living with us and I hope you will too (please remember Tassie is a cold place in winter). There are many areas of natural beauty in Southern Tasmania which are all fairly close to us. For example, the Hartz mountains, Hastings Caves and the Tahune Airwalk. We live close to a sleepy village called Cygnet and Hobart is only a 40min drive away. (Unfortunately we can't approve 2nd year visas)

We continue to be awed by the amazing people we meet. !! 2026 February on - we are renovating our Childcare Centre. Looking for people skilled in carpentry, painting etc. We ask that our helpx work approximately 5 hours a day excluding our daily tasks - there is always a list of jobs to do! Our family live in a century old farm house on a three acre property outside of Victoria by the Sea, PEI. Easiest way to get to our home is by Maritime Bus - with a drop off in Crapaud. We have traveled extensively, are entrepreneurial (we own Merry Pop-Ins Childcare Centre, Victoria Homestay, PEI and some rental properties. We do not work a traditional 9 -5 Mon to Fri. We have two daughters - they are University students in New Brunswick and Ontario. We have two cats: Moo and Cookie. We love the out doors, going to the beach, canoeing and sailing. Hi we need help from 23rd February 2026 onwards Looking for helpers wanting to stay 4 weeks or longer but we will consider shorter stays so do get in touch! Also looking for helpers wanting longer term. Someone with housekeeping experience is best for us but really anyone who is happy to help and likes cleaning 🙃 We are a family of 4, myself and my hubby and our two young daughters. We need daily help with housekeeping, cleaning and some occasional gardening (with me or my hubby so no gardening experience needed). Generally after a girl helper as our kids are more comfortable with that. Someone who is able to muck in with whatever we need and likes cleaning!! Only single helpers please we cannot take more than one person. We offer accommodation in our modern German caravan, with heating, wifi, meals (brekkie lunch items in caravan) and dinner helpers usually join us and have whatever we have as a family that evening. So sorry we can’t cater for special dietary or food requi...

Hello, we are Petra and Dieter (64 and 65 years old), both studied agricultural engineering and we run a small family business producing a variety of unique products. We have planted over 2500 roses, from which we create various delicacies and raw materials for cosmetics. We also have fruit trees for our small distillery. Petra's mother, Bärbel, and our old cat Lucie live with us in the house. Our daughters Sophia and Veronika and their family come to visit us every week and also help out in the business from time to time. Our work varies depending on the season. In March and April, we are busy pruning our 2500 roses and tilling the land to mechanically remove the weeds. Then, depending on the weather, our rose harvest usually starts in mid-May. This means we need to harvest the roses fresh from the field in the early morning and then process them at home for the individual products. Depending on their quality, the roses are dried, frozen, or processed fresh. The harvest typically la...

Our farm is in the mountains of Lares, a rural region in the center of the Caribbean Island of Puerto Rico. A town well known for the rebellion insurgency called "El Grito de Lares", also well known for the coffee plantations and the culinary festivities. Lares has great rivers, beautiful sceneries and nice climate. In this great countryside we manage an agricultural, educational and community project, Proyecto Agroecológico Campesino/PAC. Our mission has been to produce food in a sustainable way, facilitate a practical learning farm for students and share knowledge with the community. For this we work in the transformation of two acres, in an integral farm where combines crop production, animal husbandry, resource management, restoration of soil and ecosystems, inspired by the agroecological principles. We invite you to join us on our every day activities to build a sustainable farm and to share knowledge and experiences. The accommodation includes a private room with kitchen, bat...

Hello and a Warm Welcome, I built this eco-house from earth bricks and natural timbers, to create a healthy, relaxing environment. It's on a 17 acre (6.7 hectare) paradise looking onto native bush, located in the Bombay Hills, about 60km south of Auckland CBD and 12km from the bus stop or the nearest shop. I've studied Organic Horticulture and grow our food that way, living a holistic, healthy lifestyle. There's avocado, lemon, lime, mandarin, grapefruit, banana, peach, walnut, macadamia trees, as well as fresh vegetables and herbs. Personally I eat an "O" blood type diet including meat, without grains or dairy, but I can buy them for you. Please tell me your food needs as I want you to be happy. Mature helpers who speak English are welcome, so they can follow instructions to work on their own, and have enough life experience to see what needs to be done and tidy up as they go. I like to have people around me who are conscious and conscientious. Please ...

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

We have a beautiful 6 hectare property in a really awesome valley. We have animals, a stream, lots of things growing. We have a large 3 bedroom house. We have a warm modern caravan for helpers to sleep in and all the other amenities are in the house. We have 3 awesome kids (only two live at home) and a great family vibe. We need help with working the land and making it as productive as we can. We need people who are hard working and take initiative. Prior experience is great but if you are a fast learner and up for a challenge then that is great too. A love of animals is definitely helpful as well. Projects include - gardening, building, organising, helping with animals, help around the house, fencing, tree planting and more. Cheers Regan and Lisa

CURRENTLY SEEKING A COUPLE, single male or female from early March 2026 onwards, but please feel free to ask if you have some availability either now or in the future. A MINIMUM COMMITMENT of at least one month is required please.

Non-smoking, no drugs, no pets, no children. Quiet hours 10pm–7am. Couples or pairs only... your own car is recommended as there are no shops in the village of North Arm Cove.

It takes about 2 weeks to settle in and learn things plus shorter stays do not allow you to fully experience all that is on offer in our beautiful area. Katie and I own a small crofting home in the rural heart of the Scottish West Highlands in a tiny village called Lochailort and we need help all year round. A good understanding of the English language is necessary. This location is not ideal for improving or learning English, as interaction with us and others can be limited. We are always looking for willing, reliable, pro-active, self motivated and enthusiastic volunteers :) Please whatsapp our mobile number or leave a message here if you are interested in a placement with us. We are particularly keen on couples with the male having some basic building o...

Hello, thank you for checking my profile. I am Marie, your host and I would welcome you in my home which is on a 10 acre property at the south end of beautiful Quadra Island, just 10 minutes by ferry from the city of Campbell River on Vancouver Island. Quadra has a variety of wildlife and incredible scenery as well as lots of activities to offer, which include hiking, biking, kayaking and rock climbing as well as incredible photography opportunities. The property is mostly treed with evergreens and some deciduous. Two acres approx is fenced, containing organically grown small fruits, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries currents and some fruit trees including figs which should provide fruit this year as well also just planted a peach, cherry ,pear ,mulberry and almond .My vegetable garden does well and provides us with produce throughout the year but requires upgrading to increase year round food . I have been using my greenhouse built by helpers for more delicate vegetables...
