We are Axel and Mônica (both 51). We are living in Portugal and our house with 3000 squaremeters of land is in a small village in the countryside of the beautiful Algarve. We can offer accommodation (bedroom - as you can see on the picture - and separate bathroom for you) and meals of course. Behind the village the mountains start, so here is a lot of nature, the beaches are 30km away. The next town (Messines) is 4km away, the next village about 1km. We need helpers from end of February 2026 for three weeks for some work in our garden.. We prefer a couple or two friends, but if you are a single helper, you can contact us as well. Helpers are very welcome to our house!

We grow organic table grapes, a few fruit trees, chickens and a few pigs. This is a real farm experience, mostly working in the vineyard, with some fun too. There is biking to town, swimming in the ocean or our lake, fishing, basketball, volleyball, hiking, nature walks, beach strolling and look for fossils at Blue Beach, camp fires , rope swing in our little lake, take in the fantastic views, sunsets, star gazing, internet, phone and go to nearby towns such as Wolfville and Hantsport as well as the rest of the Annapolis Valley with the local bus. The accommodations and kitchen are separate for helpers cooking with an abundance of food. This is a more independent farm stay. Hope you can make it here.

I live with my adult son in a rural area 20 minutes from the Wellington CBD. I have other family members living nearby. A daughter, son in law and two teenage grand-daughters. They live on a lifestyle property and my property is a large section backing onto native bush, in a rural setting. We are used to hosting people because I used to have Japanese students billeted with me a few years ago. There is no bus service where we are but about 8 minutes over the hill is a large suburban area called Karori which does have a bus service and shops, a library, public swimming pool and other amenities. I would be prepared to drop a guest over the hill to the bus if they didn't have their own transport. About 20 minutes by car, from my house, you are in the Wellington CBD with all the amenities the city offers. I am a retired school teacher. I am active in my local community and do voluntary work. One of the things my family are passionate about is the environment and we all belong to a riparian...

Tēnā koutou, We are a French/Algerian/Kiwi family. We moved to the North of the South Island (Te Wai Pounamou) in 2023 and live on a four hectare property where there is lots to be done. Mathew is into agroecology, permaculture and conservation. He has experience running workshops and leading work groups. There are a range of tasks to be done, mainly gardening, fencing work, animal care (chickens and sheep) and fire wood cutting/stacking/moving. Possibly some small renovation tasks for those with the right skills. Tasks will depend on the season and what travellers are comfortable doing, as well as what they want to learn. My name is Selly and I am the founder of an association. I live in the city of Morogoro in Tanzania, where I was born. I founded this association 4years ago with the aim of promoting access to education for children,Youth and-women in my country and hometown. Unfortunately, although Tanzania has exceptional wildlife and culture, access to education is marked by significant inequalities. Approximately 3.5 million school-age children and adolescents are not enrolled in school, and nearly 30% of children aged 5 to 14 are working, 94% of whom are in the agricultural sector. Additionally, child labor still affects approximately 4.2 million children aged 5 to 17. If you wish to get involved in our project, you are welcome, whether it be for the short or long term. For the past two years, we have regularly welcomed volunteers of all backgrounds to participate in our project, but also to discover our country, its exceptional wildlife and flora, and to exchange ideas about our culture. Hi there Traveler We offer a farm stay with great views and good conversation. We chopped down a pine forest and replanted with Manuka about 4 years ago so it’s starting to look really great, and more native birds are about. Established a wetland reserve as well. Also we are developing another small retreat area that needs assistance with tracks and tree management. Some stock work is all so on offer but we will work with you all the time as it’s safer and more fun. cheers and safe travels Geoff and Declan

I live between a yacht on Sydney Harbour and a house in a tall eucalyptus forest on the mid north coast of NSW, and need some assistance in working on the house and on another yacht. I'm a carpenter who worked with National Parks and Wildlife for 25 years before retiring, and live with a small dog Billy. I've had many helpers come stay over the last few years and have been lucky to have so many interesting travellers stay. My yacht, is currently on the hard at Whoota, where we are renovating her while helping with work on her. I often take helpers out sailing to see the magnificent Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House but this is not possible while she is being worked on. Yet, I hope to invite helpers out when she is back in the water. The house is located in Whoota, near Forster. It is surrounded by forest and located a 10 minute drive from pristine beaches, lakes, and bushwalks. There a lots of dolphins to see and beautiful areas to explore. The work we are doing on the house ...

The permaculture project and the Farm develop in the social, historical and urban fabric of the town of Modica (RG), mainly between the Fontana, Dente and Pennino districts. We actively collaborate with other projects in the province, from which we learn a lot. We live a sober, frugal, healthy life. We follow, in a somewhat radical way, the ethics of Permaculture and many of its principles. After a period of training in horticulture and spiritual reconnection in the Loire in a Sōtō Zen temple, a PDC at Il Filo di Paglia (Comiso) and two years of agricultural experiences of the most varied in south-eastern Sicily, we feel ready to open ourselves to volunteers , willing and passionate who want to live, share and exchange within in this vibrant and beautiful setting. The Mediterranean Sea is just 20 minutes by train (Sampieri train station). We've got a 17th century house for the project (Oct. 2022), quite abandoned for more than one year: Plenty of work has been already done, some mino...

Winter February 2026 - opening as of Feb 8th Wow, exploring right outside our backdoor along side the Campbell River on Vancouver Island, is a beautiful place to experience Vancouver Island`s great outdoors this winter with all the wild life right in our back yard :) Although we live on a one acre town lot, our back yard is situated on a cliff over looking an accessible beautiful heritage river, with a nature park setting of ferns, Douglas fir, maple and alder trees. You can often see deer, raccoons, bears and the silver backs of salmon and Steelhead fish jumping in the ebb and flow of the river’s pools. We have trail access to the river below, where you can enjoy listening to the sing song of many birds, tubing down the river/swimming in the heat of the summer, and trying your hand at casting for Steelhead fish. As well, our neighborhood is the access point to many scenic nature hiking, walking and biking trails. The ocean photo was taken a couple of miles from my home and all other ...

Autonomy for everyone, especially for you and us at mealtime ... Resources are shared according to the availability of the moment. More possibilities if my children are not there, less if I have other guests ... fortuitous ... In the meantime we have no shortage of space in the garden to let you plant your tent or you lend a space... This is the minimum we can guarantee. A cabin is also available on the family sailboat ... Here too, there is work ... The room with double bed of the house is not often free for our helper sometimes the chance does things well, ask what you want, we are in French Polynesia climate is stable all year ;-) We will not ask for more than 2 or 3 hours of help a day in exchange we plan to lodge without food, although fruits from the garden are still part of the tradition of sharing the house... It's up to you to do your shopping and your dish washing and cleaning up after, the load will be in our situation not equitable otherwise.

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. Please note, we cannot host anyone with any pre existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions). We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees.
