This beautiful little organic orchard is on the Richmond Hills, a 5 min drive to Richmond and 15mins to Nelson. We are growing citrus, avocados, nuts and a variety of other fruit trees, catering for our small community as well as a large vege garden. We also have some sheep and chickens. The jobs will depend on the time of the year but include pruning, weeding, mulching, harvesting, etc. If you have any building skills could be very handy as there are always a few projects going. The accommodation is a cute tiny home in the orchard with a separate shower and (composting) toilet unit. It has a sleeping mezzanine with a queen bed. Also the downstairs couch is a single sofa bed. There is a small kitchen with fridge and cooking facilities. It is suitable for a single person or a couple. There is a carpark. No wifi included. I'm looking for a single person or couple who can help me in the orchard, either 2hrs per day /5 days per week. This is for accommodation only. Meals are not include...

Hello travelers, my name is Abidine Al-Boudani. I live with my family in a small town called Tagounite in the southeast of Morocco. Our family only settled during the middle of the last century, originally we descend from nomads, but have made a home in the Daraa Valley now. In walking distance to our house we have an organic farm, a 50 year old heritage from when my grandfathers settled down here. The farm is a beautiful place for anyone - be it people coming by themselves, friends, couples, families, pets - to spend an enjoyable time, connecting with the nature of the desert. ~ACCOMODATION~ Volunteers with tents can pitch them in the garden. Some families who come with a motorhome, truck and vehicles have the option to park right next to it. Currently an insulated tent is being constructed next to the garden house, which is also in progress. This accommodation will offer a more quiet environment than the family house, but comes with no bathroom yet at this point. If people need ...

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

Failte gu Trumisgearraidh, We're a young couple based in North Uist, seeking some extra help with tree planting this February! In 2018, we planted over 9000 native trees in a designated plantation, and are looking for some help planting 2000 more. This stay would be ideal for a couple, two friends or one independent solo traveller to help for approx. 5 hours per day (depending on the weather) during their stay, with plenty time to explore the beaches and wild hills of North Uist in between. The dates are flexible, but ideally starting February 23rd for a period of two-three weeks. If interested, some of the time could be spent helping feed our livestock & getting involved with other croft jobs! In exchange we would invite the volunteer/s to stay in our self catering cabin (photo attached, or you can view it by searching Am Bothan, North Uist), and if you are interested in learning some gàidhlig, Keith and his parents are fluent speakers. In your spare time you will have plenty oppo...

This is a retreat for the mind, body and spirit. Located in the beautiful Smoky Mountains of Western North Carolina and surrounded by national forests and great tourist sites. Currently we have retreats for guests that include meditation, self enhancement workshops, Labyrinth walks, healing sessions and contemplative living workshops. We also provide tours, hikes and outdoor adventure. I teach classes and do life coaching. This is a very touristy area and especially in the fall with the leaves changing colors! I have done an organic farm in the past but it was hard to keep up. I would like to start again in the Spring. I love flowers and and medicinal plants and want to grow them also. I also need help with trail maintenance, cleaning, as well as painting, planting and clearing. I Need people with handyman, landscaping and farming skills to work a few hours a day.

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to routburn and greenstone tracks.you will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. ,a bit isolated, not for the precious,no trophy hunters !! .please don`t apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only.we do not get involved with internships or visa applications.vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar ( badly ) and sing ( worse ) ,but it's all about smile not style :-) Cheers Al

Hello and a Warm Welcome, I built this eco-house from earth bricks and natural timbers, to create a healthy, relaxing environment. It's on a 17 acre (6.7 hectare) paradise looking onto native bush, located in the Bombay Hills, about 60km south of Auckland CBD and 12km from the bus stop or the nearest shop. I've studied Organic Horticulture and grow our food that way, living a holistic, healthy lifestyle. There's avocado, lemon, lime, mandarin, grapefruit, banana, peach, walnut, macadamia trees, as well as fresh vegetables and herbs. Personally I eat an "O" blood type diet including meat, without grains or dairy, but I can buy them for you. Please tell me your food needs as I want you to be happy. Mature helpers who speak English are welcome, so they can follow instructions to work on their own, and have enough life experience to see what needs to be done and tidy up as they go. I like to have people around me who are conscious and conscientious. Please ...

Looking for assistance NOW and from late March through summer 26. We moved north from Vancouver to escape the noise and the craziness and to find a spot to live in beauty. We found one and now are on the edge of nothing but more nothing all 400 km to the Pacific. We are 20 km outside of a small town halfway between nowhere and not much. Sharing that is a pleasure. Nearly everything we do now is in support of one thrill: adventures in food. But rural living out here in mid-nowhere means that there are endless other things to be tasked as well: construction, gardening, maintenance of many sorts, enhancing the natural beauty around us. Chances are that if you could describe a pure-fun, physical job, there would be something here I could offer that might satisfy those urges. If you want to work hard, eat marvelous meals and have a fabulous time in the gardens, the workshop and the kitchen, come join us and get a relaxing feel of rural life. PLUS, for all you thrill seekers/amateurs des s...

Hello friends, we are Sadí and Jacqi a couple from Perú and Germany. We live here with our little daughter Sami and Sadis brother Leo who has joined our project about a year ago. After several years of traveling, volunteering, helping out and learning in many beautiful projects & communities, we have settled down in the rainforest of Perú and are now happy to be able to receive volunteers ourselves :) About 3 three years ago, we bought this piece of land which includes about 56 hectares, in the region of Ucayali The area has suffered a lot from deforestation by the coca leaf production and cattle industry which left the soil very depleted due to the intense use of chemicals. the forests need our support (cutting vines preventing trees from growing, opening up the water ways of the rivers that are blocked by wood, vines and much more...) to be able to recover strongly and healthily. Our vision for this place is to help the local ecosystem to recover its natural balance, establish ...

LOOKING FOR HELPERS LAST WEEK IN FEBRUARY. In return for 4 hours help a day I offer you accommodation and all meals in a sunny, warm home where you will have your own bedroom (queen size bed) and own bathroom with the added privacy of being in a separate wing of my house. My sunny home sits atop a hill from which you will have a magnificent view of the township of Blenheim to Cook Strait and the hills of the North Island beyond. Of course if you would prefer to work a full day in order to have a day off in which you could explore the nearby Marlborough Sounds, cycle the wine trails, or walk or climb on any of the formed tracks in this area, that would be just fine. My 40 ha property is a sheep/beef farm most of which is leased. I tend a large garden and care for the drive and tracks, drainage and irrigation and deal with fallen trees. It is situated in the midst of vineyards in the Brancott Valley 13km from Blenheim (pop 30,000) which contests the annual sunshine record every year...

The helper accommodation is a double room in a 200 year old Cotswold stone house located in a small village near Stroud. There’s woodland above and it’s in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty backing on to the Toadsmoor valley. The house is 35 mins walk from Stroud town centre. There are a few shops in the village as well as a pub nearby. The house is surrounded with the hills and countryside on your doorstep and lovely views. From the garden...great for forest walks and exploring the Cotswolds. English, Spanish and French is spoken. I have my child with me half the week.. We aim to work an average of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week in an awake household. The work is varied but currently there are raised beds to make for growing vegetables, a chicken run to make, chickens to feed and care for, gardening, cooking, cleaning , or generally helping with whatever task is being done at the time, though no need of experience as I'm happy to teach techniques. Anyone with motivation ...

Hello kind stranger! Our names are Claire and Michiel, we're a young Franco-Belgian family living on an old farmstead near the coast of Wissant, North of France. For 8 years now we are bringing the old farmhouses back to life, while also bringing up our two daughters: Fleur (5 yo) and Perle (3 yo). We've been hosts since 2021 and we love the life that a group of volunteers brings to our place. Making you discover French culture, nature and the sea helps us to enjoy it even more ourselves. Teaching French and picking up on your languages widens our world view and helps our kids to be future globetrotters - like you! The different nationalities we're welcoming make us feel like travelling the world while staying at home. Every day we're hosting, it widens our horizon and gives us love, laughter and friendship. So far we've made an old stable into our home, we've renovated a 'longère' (long farmbuilding) into a woodworker's workshop, our workshop and office space, we've landscaped the c...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. One thing I can advise helpers who want to get a placement with any host is to have at least one PICTURE of YOURSELF. Just as you like to "see" who and where you are coming, hosts like to see who they are opening their home to. It's winter now, so we won't be working outside. I need someone right away to help with small handyman jobs or selling online eg: eBay, marketplace etc. Knowledge of Carpentry and Plumbing are always appreciated. Car mechanics are always helpful. I would really appreciate someone who can do handyman jobs and wants to come for a week or two. I sell things online and on eBay and would love someone who is good at writing descriptions in English. I have a large house and property in a diverse area of Staten Island, New York that I`m always working on. I plant a vegetable garden in the spring using the square foot gardening method. A friend and I rebuilt the whole house on the inside including jacking it up and replacing the foundation, sills and beams so ther...

We are a nonprofit horse rehabilitation center that offers rescue, education on equine care. We need hands on to help with projects we are working on to complete as well as facility maintenance. Would love to have some energetic people that want to make a difference in horses lives here. It’s about helping these animals go from neglect to finding a forever home or live their lives in Sanctuary. You don't have to have experience we can teach you. If working hands on with horses is not your thing and you admire them there's lots of things you can still do to help them prepare for homes or help at the facility. What we are not: We are not a riding stables. We give lessons when able after all chores completed and trainer is here on certain days and during certain times of the year. So if your intention is to spend lots of time "in the saddle" we don't do that here. We aren't a "working ranch" for people to ride horses all day and move cattle, ride trails, etc. We are not a fancy stab...

I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers !

We are a family run home, perfect for the 1st time volunteer. Natural horsemanship is a real factor here if you want to learn more. Our mentors being Buck Brannaman, Steve Halfpenny and Ken Falkner. A safe environment for your 1st time away from home. Constant appaloosas is a small holding where we breed and train horses for ourselves and occasionally others. We have help exchange programs running throughout the year for interested students of all ages. Vet students get a really good grounding here. What we expect from you, conduct yourself in an open and friendly manner, engage in all aspects of life on the farm and seize all opportunities with enthusiasm, avoid rude and disrespectful behaviour to people horses and dogs.
