We have planted over 2500 roses, from which we create various delicacies and raw materials for cosmetics. We also have fruit trees for our small distillery. Petra's mother, Bärbel, and our old cat Lucie live with us in the house. The area is quiet and scenic. The closest cities are Odda and Bergen. The bosses of the house are 4 dogs and 3 cats. Right now I don't have any farm animals of my own. But the neighbor's sheep live here too. I would have been very grateful for various help on my small farm. The work can be very varied. But I need help with maintenance of the outdoor area, wood working, chopping firewood and snow shoveling. Good morning;. I went on the Wagon Train in Montana like I have since 1983. We had a bad wreck, I got hurt. My ribs are healed now. My left leg still breaks open. It was a very nasty cut. Please come help me. I am now able to ride the ride on mower and get mowing done. The helper who had been here just over 3 years [yes years],moved . He works in town full time, stayed here for free and helped with chores. I really need the help. I do need someone for the winter months for sure. I have had 3 really great helpers already this year and 1 vanishing act. Too funny. Not as much to do as most years. Painting will have to get done this year. I have a lovely natural building studio space, made of super adobe, that is used as a meditation/healing/sacred temple space, set in a lovely slightly wild permaculture garden, with a bee hive, flowers, veggies etc. The studio would be completely your own private space. I am happy to share some meditation/healing practices with you if you are interested. I would love help in the garden, with weeding, mulching, planting, harvesting and helping to make the garden creative, abundant, fertile and beautiful. Also need help going to the beach to collect seaweed for the garden beds. I would like to provide some meals, and have you be independent for some as well. I really like to meet and be social with helpers , and also to spend a lot of time in meditation and writing. I am an aquatic ecologist who has fortunately been working out of our coastal rain-forest property for 35 years. Driven by strong curiosity, I have recently been developing long-term data sets on the animal life in the forest that surrounds our home, plus on tropical marine fish that are steadily increasing in numbers under the influence of climate change at the nearby very beautiful Seal Rocks area (for details click on my website link below). We are in Dégagnac, between Cahors (capital town of the Lot) and Sarlat in the Dordogne and have 5 gîtes (small houses for rent) and we do chambre d`hôtes (B&B) and table d`hôtes (dinner); we have a swimming pool and a tennis court, a vegetable garden, garden with fruit trees, a walnut grove, meadows and forest, all of which have to be maintained.
