Hello travellers, and a warm welcome to beautiful Olinda - I am Vita and delighted to host you. **Currently seeking Helper/s who can work in the garden or use a chainsaw to cut fire wood. Or a carpenter who can help repair weather damaged external timber windows. Or someone with mechanical experience to service chainsaw and lawn mowers. Or a Helper with sewing skills and can use a sewing machine. Or a helper who can restore and refinish furniture. I appreciate self-starters and Helpers with initiative, who do not always need to be told what to do and are capable of putting in a full days work. Weeding and garden work is always a go-to if you are waiting instructions. Helpers will sometimes be left to work by themselves as I don’t always have time to supervise them. Therefore, Helpers who can help with l...

Hi! I'm a math teacher and my husband an engineer who is now teaching as well. We live in a very amazing place: in the country, in the hills, but very close to the city of Brescia (in the north of Italy, not far from Milan and Venice). Our house is a rustic, big building surrounded by a lot of soil with a little vineyard and a vegetable garden. We have a dog, about 10 chicken, 2 ducks, 2 rabbits and 4 sheep that need care. We need a boy that can help us with housework, mostly outside. We like to host people, we have already done that many times and every time we were pleased to discover new worlds! Our house is always full of people from around the world. If you like to work with people, nature and animals contact us! we need someone! in this period it would be ideal for us to host a boy (it would be better english mothertongue), for two/three weeks (Jan - Feb - Mar), who help us to cut some wood and other little jobs. We ask for minimum 5 hours a day of physical work.

Please message me for current availability 🙂 Hello! How are you? My name is Andy and I've been hosting people for years now with Helpx and other organisations. If you are seeking a true cultural exchange or want to really improve your English to a more advanced level and you are a person with high expectations of yourself or want to be around people who also want to help you, then please read on. I appreciate spending my time with people who like me want to learn more about this strange and wonderful planet we all occupy. I get on with people who are usually self-transparent, with whom I have common interests, who care about others, and like me want to continually learn more about themselves. I have learned a lot from my time hosting people and my journey continues. I am a well-educated person who believes life is a continual learning experience. I like listening to the music of most genres, watching a good movie and watching documentaries. I am interested in matters of technolo...

I'm Thanasis, a 55 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

Summer discription: besides our work on the farm we organise international workcamps, long-term stays, and voluntary work in different companies as printery, carpentry, farming, nursery If you like to learn milking cows or driving an old tractor, cutting hedges, shear sheep, build fences or throw honey, test your strength in the muck or while digging the garden - you should join us. If you find dung and greens not so interesting, we understand :-) We are a living and working community with different workshops and bio-dynamic farming in Germany, Baden-Wuerttemberg. We are doing carpentry, printing, video production, publishing and distribution - it is always possible to help. Depending what you want to learn, you can help. We have four more than less old houses here in the village, so we also have to do a lot of construction work. The farming we do is not a business for us to earn money. We do it because we think farming is an important part in a holistic way of life. We have sheep, ...

A room is available for your homestay. Because of the helps I would like to ask, those who have enough experience/knowledge of handling house holding chores and cooking are welcome. No problem if you cannot cook Japanese dishes. Vegetarian is welcome only from summer to autumn. It's easy to talk about next step of your homestay if how long from when, how you can help, what you want to do during homestay in addition to help works are written in your request. I'm a 66 years old male and have a small private organic vegetable garden. I am happy if someone can help me to maintain vegetable garden and household chores including cooking. I also can enjoy helping my guest to learn Japanese language. We can visit at sightseeing places/aesthetic landscape when we have free time. We live in a rural area and have a large garden. Our family has grown up and no longer live at home. There is always work to be done in the garden so people with some gardening experience or people willing to do some weeding or planting are very welcome. At the moment we need to do a lot of tidying in the garden to prepare it for spring.. If the weather is bad we have some spring cleaning, painting indoors and organising to be done. We live in an Irish speaking area but the community here is, of course, bilingual. The area is renowned for its traditional music and dance. We speak fluent English and Irish and some French and German. You will have your own room with every comfort and the house has two bathrooms. The house is big enough to allow you to be part of the family or have privacy if you need it. We would like you to work 4 hours per day, six days a week. German speakers, who would have an interest in helping me improve my German, would be very welcome. There is a regular bus ...

Hello! We are Charlotte (USA) and Christian (Ecuador), and we have an Ecoculturual Finca outside of Santo Domingo de los Tsachilas, Ecuador. The Finca is about 8 hectares of hilly jungle, filled with cacao, banana, avocado, papaya, coffee, bamboo, sugar cane, and other tropical fruit trees. Christian started this project in 2012 to create a community of people who want to live consciously and in harmony with the natural world. We believe sustainability has an environmental component (we eat vegetarian, use composting toilets, minimize waste, use resources we have on the finca, etc), but that it also has a cultural component; infusing art, cultural exchange, genuine connection, music, inter-generational sharing, and creative problem solving into daily life is important to living sustainably! The hope is that by starting small, by living well on the finca, we can spread an environmental consciousness to our surrounding community, and hopefully beyond. Accommodations: Volunteers stay in ...

At our off- grid solar, wood and gravity powered homestead you can live very close to Nature and learn by helping, how to grow your own food in the big, fully caged vegie garden/ orchard and some of how to build a bush cabin (it could be a winning strategy in years to come). We are long term, committed advocates, for climate change action and we've lived with Sustainability and Creating a low "Carbon Footprint" in mind, for 40 yrs now, settling here, (inland of Taree / Port Macquarie) from scratch in 1980, on 680 acres of rocky ridge forest on the wild and steep NW edge of the Bulga Plateau, 500m above sea level (a very beautiful but challenging location)! Watch our YouTube video below, about our community and us, made by the very talented helpxer, Louie Ablett. Three of us live here now, myself 72, David 82 and Sue 62, who started as a WWOOFer and has moved here with the help of a voluntary activity agreement through Centrelink for over 55s'. Sue came in September 2019 and has b...

Come on a tourist visa. NO VISA SPONSORSHIPS OR INVITATION LETTERS. We are particularly looking for people from mid February to end of April and from mid July until end of September. Other time periods also considered. If you want to stay for free you must really help. We also have programs for people who want to help less but who pay for staying in a shared room. We are all about bettering the world. Most people can contribute in some way. Dear Helper, please use the HelpX message section for your first contact message, so I can see your HelpX references. But also leave your regular Email address in this first message for further communication. The HelpX Email server is extremely limited (plain text only and no html, attachments etc.) and all messages are deleted fast and randomly. Also, to see more comments and pictures than the 6 allowed here, click on my Facebook link below. My helpers also post their pictures and comments there about staying at my place. I live with my nephew Harrison (22y) in an old farmhouse, converted to 3 apartments in Madiswil, a small town between Bern and Basel. I live in the second floor apartment (3 1/2 bedroom). The ground floor apartment is rented out to a single lady. The other Apartment is used by my nephew Harrison. Helpers have their own room (5th picture of my profile). Like wine? Then you'll like this volunteer experience! We are deep in the heart of the High Penedes (700 metres up), which is located in the Spanish wine countryside, Catalonia. The landscape is home to pine forests and mountain villages, all perfect for Wine Country Bike Tours (we have bikes available for you to use). You have the opportunity to travel further a-field at the weekends - we're 75 mins from Barcelona and 45 mins to the nearest beach - although most place are hard to reach on a daily basis without a car as there is no public transport, but we have internet and fine weather. Work. Our philosophy is work hard, play hard: Your weekends are free to do as you please, and mon-fri you are required to do a combination of work both inside and work outside. We'll make the most of your strengths, and work varies dependent on the time of year etc, so it's best to email first to enquire. As from now, we have availability for up to 3 people able to do any or all of the following tas...

This is a mountain hut immersed in Italy's largest protected park, at 1300 meters, in a forest on Mount Pollino. Managed by an official guide of the park, we organize excursions, canyoning, hiking, climbing and horseback riding throughout the park. The refuge consists of five rooms (with bathrooms) for a total of twenty beds. Kitchen and dining room in common. Helpers sleep in a room that they share together. In spring, summer and autumn volunteers are welcome to take good care of the refuge. Cooking, fixing the roof, gathering mushroom, cutting wood or making guests practice their english :) In winter... write me if you like snow!

Our olive hill farm is in Provence, 95 acres of Mediterranean olive groves and woodland. We also have a self-catering holiday Gite (an apartment), We are only 24km from Mediterranean beaches on the Cote d Azur. In fact, you can see the sea in the distance from the olive groves and from the little cabanon near the house which is where helpers stay! The farmhouse is at the top of a secluded valley backed by a dramatic circle of cliffs in the form of a horseshoe which protects it from the Mistral winds, and we are only 2km from the village which you can see down in the valley. The views are amazing... And behind the house there are 3,000 ha of national forestry with walks in an unspoiled and protected natural environment full of wildlife: wild boar, roe deer, foxes, martens, buzzards, hawks and several eagles among all the other lesser species. OLIVE HARVEST (15 Oct - end Nov) is the most important time of year for us. It is the result of a years work and we put all our energy into ma...

Our home will be your home from home. We have two small dogs, two horses and one cat. We moved to Yorkshire in October 2023 so there are lots of tasks to chip away at over time. Some equine, agricultural or general maintenance experience would be required. Possible jobs include paddock and fence maintenance, hedge trimming, gathering wood, chopping wood, fence painting, gutter clearing, yard duties, mucking out stables, gardening, occasional pet sitting and cleaning our holiday let. 25-30 hours per week, five days a week In return we offer separate annex accommodation in our home or if you’d prefer en suite accommodation within our house. Both with magnificent views of Yorkshire countryside, meals with us (can cater for Coeliacs) and use of a car (full UK driving licence and fully comprehensive insurance required). We are less than two miles to Ripon with the Yorkshire Dales to the west and North Yorkshire Moors to the east, 30 minutes to Harrogate, 50 minutes to York and Le...

At the same time, I'm interested to hear your stories about helpx and learn foreign languages as well as yoga and massage. My house has natural hot spring so that you are free to enjoy onsen together as well a...

*** HAPPY NEW YEAR *** Hi folks, YES, we achieved a lot since returning from a 3+ year break in Feb 2022, beautifying our wonderful property, something we could not have done on our own.

My name is Esperanza, I run a language school. I'm looking for an easy going native English speaker to help us with conversation classes and different activities. It is a great educational project where we aim to develop students interest in the language in a natural way. We live in a nice area surrounded by mountains, our house is big , so we recently started an online rental program to meet new people from all over the world. The language school is 8 minutes away on foot from our house. I live with my son, Mikel, who is a university student. While you stay with us, you will be able to take part in lots of activities. Zalla is a town with lots of facilities where you can do nearly everything you can imagine. If you are interested in learning Spanish, we will be more than happy to help you! We live 20 minutes from Bilbao in a lovely town called Zalla. There is a good bus/train service to Bilbao. Volunteers also can visit, Santander, San Sebastian, Burgos, Pamplona either of these ci...
