We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. Please note, we cannot host anyone with any pre existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions). We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our doorstep, hiking trails through the mountains and forests, cycling paths, and skiing in the...

A room is available for your homestay. Because of the help I would like to ask, mature ladies who have enough experience/knowledge of handling house holding chores and cooking are welcome. No problem if you cannot cook Japanese dishes. Vegetarian is welcome only from summer to autumn. It's easy to talk about next step of your homestay if how long from when, how you can help, what you want to do during homestay in addition to help works are written in your request. I will reply to only applicants who read my profile and understand/satisfy requirements. I'm a 67 years old male living alone and have a small private organic vegetable garden. I am happy if someone can help me to maintain vegetable garden and household chores including cooking. I also can enjoy helping my guest to learn Japanese language. We can visit at sightseeing places/aesthetic landscape when we have free time. At the same time, I'm interested to hear your stories about helpx and learn foreign languages as well ...

My husband Matthias and I, Johanna, came from Germany as backpackers in the 1980s. We met here in NZ, but our home language is German. We are a family with eight children, three of them married, and five grandchildren. Three of our children are living at home (1 of them home-schooling, 2 working). Our oldest son with his wife and 4 young boys has moved back to our property two years ago, - now living in our cottage; another son with his wife and baby has moved into a smaller house on our property. And a friend lives in our housetruck. So life is happening to the full! Sadly, my husband passed away in January 2024 after a short time of intense illness. We miss him much! Our lifestyle block is home to a gaggle of geese, a flock of domestic ducks, around 40 chickens, some sheep and sometimes a few young male goats, - and of course many wild birds, rabbits and the tiny creatures of fields, woods and duck-pond. An old apple, apricot and peach orchard and a young walnut grove are also part...

Our farm is up for sale, so work is lighter, mostly weeding, cleaning, and property tidy-ups. Usually, it’s just you, us, and the animals, so it’s a relaxed, family-style experience. We typically start at 8am or by arrangement and ask for about 4 hrs of help per day You’ll stay in your own private air-conditioned container accommodation next to our home, share meals, enjoy the spa pool, BBQ area, and explore with our e-bikes. A vehicle is recommended as there’s no public transport, Richmond (shops, cafes) is 5 mins away, Nelson 20 mins. We love positive, proactive people, good cooks, and anyone who enjoys sharing food, music, and stories. Check out our reviews below.

I live in an old farm and farmhouse in Normandy. I have converted a cottage into a holiday cottage with 4 bedrooms (all en suite) and one barn into another. I also had a Yurt (now gone but the pictures are still there !!) and a campsite. With the guest-accommodation, farm and further buildings to be converted, I could always do with an extra pair of hands. Skills can range from building, painting, cleaning, farming and general maintenance. Someone with a sense of humour would be great. I enjoy music so you may find all sorts playing, from classical to Genesis, Roxy Music to London Grammar! Current projects (weather dependent) include: 1. tidying toolshed 2. move garden shed 3. create car port I offer accommodation and meals included in return for help normally 5 days a week. After a week I'm happy to give a day tour of the battlefields ... Phone number (what's app) available on request. Easy to find and get to .. .By train leave Paris at the Gare de St Lazare for Cherbourg. G...

We live in a fun share house in Maryborough, Miss Poppins Town, with awesome meals and a big edible garden. We're Mars, the owner of the property and Tracy, a former theatre/restaurant owner who's cooking the most awesome meals and looking after everyone like a mum. There're 2 adorable dogs in the family, so you must be a dog lover. We need help with building and creating, and with an awesome but overgrown garden. In addition, we're about to put 12v solar power into the rooms, also natural air-conditioning and are finishing up the spar bath in the 2nd bathroom... so there's a bit for you to learn and lots of knowledge to take home. We have had great experiences with travellers so far as Mars's former partner has been on HelpX for quite some time. Maryborough is only 30 minutes away from Hervey Bay with beautiful beaches overlooking Frazer Island. Maryborough is a beautiful old heritage town with a lot of old buildings and parks all around. We're just a few metres away from the Mary ...

We are near the Shoalwater Marine Park and Penguin Island 40mins from Perth city centre. Very close to public transport, cafes and library. Ideal for beach walking, diving, swimming, cycling, fishing, sailing and windsurfing (beach is 60 metres away). Accommodation would take form of a fully insulated cute tiny garden room with access to undercover cooking area and bathroom. IT is small so please See photos. On week days we are usually working it Perth so we cant provide meals, but a well-stocked supermarket is 200 metres away. We average 2/3 hours a day painting, plumbing gardening and other repairs and can negotiate best time to do that, for example maybe it’s more convenient to do two longer days during the week. Free coffee, tea and a simple breakfast (i.e. Cereal, toast) usually available. When you email please let us know when you plan to get to Perth and how you are travelling (flying in, driving or bus etc.). If you are already in Perth, where you are staying and how long you...

Hi, This is a small farm property (sheep, a cat and orchard) just of state highway 2 within walking distance of Morere hot springs reserve and about 20 minutes drive to the beaches of the mahia peninsula. The bus between wellington and Gisborne stops here twice a day walking distance from Possum bend. Helpers work about 4 hours a day.At the moment, I have some gardening and housework to do. Also, if you like cooking, i enjoy trying new recipes/meals etc (This is not a commercial property so, generally, surfing takes priority over working if the surf is good). I prefer easy going people with a good sense of humour who are adventurous. I especially enjoy meeting people who have traveled or come from places I have not visited and hearing about their experiences. Morere is a quiet spot so if you are a city person it won't be suitable for you. Importantly, you need to be physically fit. We have a property located within walking distance of Fremantle centre near the river , grocery stores and public transport as well as a local coffee strip. You would have the whole house self-contained with kitchen and bathroom. The helping exchange arrangement would be helping with repairs, landscaping, painting etc. Fremantle cottage is on quarry st if you want to check location. It would be useful if you have had some experience with painting and renovation as we are trying to bring a property in for a sale this year. it would suit someone who would like some peace and quiet because it lacks entertainment facilities such as stereos and TVs at the moment. We also have a beach house south of Fremantle and you could have an opportunity to stay there for trips to the islands, surfing and fishing. 2 hours a day would be fine and although food is not provided shopping is handy. Late news… the property has been sold and we will be required to move out before Christmas so the most we can ...

We are looking for 2 helpers now for 1 week! There is an option for us to pick you up from Auck on a Sunday if you don't have a car but would prefer your own transport, especially if you have a van. We have lots of fun with our helpxers - please read our reviews. Do you want to come to a beautiful beach town for a week just north of Auckland? Be sure to read our reviews. With being close to Auckland we are often a helpx's first stop and are happy to give you advise and suggestions for your trip around Northland or the rest of the country. Your own transport is preferred as we are rural and there is no public transport. If you have a van, that is great as when we airbnb our place, you can sleep in your van. We have a small cabin which is not great, but OK. It is not insulated and has some leaks but we have lots of duvet/bedding to keep you warm. If you sleep in your van or the cabin you have access to our bathroom and shower etc. When you contact us please let us know any...

Im trying to realize my dream, devoted to permaculture and natural architecture on the 25 decare land we purchased in 2021, where there are pine forests and natural water resources, and where natural life is happily alive. My biggest dream is for my daughter and other children to grow up together in a healthy soil, poison-free tables, on a farm full of happy animals, in a community where our friends and guests contribute. We continue to take slow but beautiful steps on the path we set out with this dream, with the efforts of our friends and volunteers who contribute to us. I will be glad to see you among us I have camping tent, large tent, rv caravan, geodesic dome hause for our volunteers and guests to stay. You can also stay here with your own tents and caravans. We have a common area for shower and toilet. We can cook and eat our meals together during the day, and we will also respect your preferences. I would like to welcome any fluent English speakers under the age of thirty to assist my teachers in the classroom. You would help immensely by having simple conversations with the students and providing them a real English speaking experience inside or outside the classroom. We are a couple with a young child that connected through our passion for nature, self-discovery and self-sufficiency. The objectives of the project are: to know the human being that we are in its entirety. Approach the natural environment trying to maintain the principles of permaculture, integrating and contributing what we can to improve the environment. The spread of this way of life, as an alternative way to change things. It is an ideal place for those who want to have a good experience in contact with nature, surrounded by forest and life everywhere. We offer the opportunity to learn how to live "off-grid", generating our own electricity, heating, water supply, food, natural medicine, health maintenance and quality of life. In short, being as self-sufficient as possible and being able to spend more time on self-knowledge. The place is a 1.3ha property full of olive trees, pines, oaks and berry bushes. I am in the Madonie Park. It's a small experimental farm. I chose to get out of the city routine and come and live in the Madonie park surrounded by nature. the house is big enough and comfortable. I offer volunteers an independent room and a second bathroom. I have some animals: a mare, a donkey, 5 dogs, 12 goats, 10 hens, 1 cat. I need help taking care of the house, in the care of the peaceful animals, some gardening work. During the milk period I milk some goats and produce the cheese, yogurt and ricotta. Sometimes I like to cook together with my guests it's definitely a cultural exchange. Ros' languages are basic Spanish and Portuguese and very bad English. I like to wake up early and work, animals don't like to wait. The daily tasks are carried out calmly .

If you are interested in learning about Nepalese cultures, cuisines, traditions and festivals, then a homestay is the best way to see the real Nepal. By doing this you will be introduced to a plethora of brand new experiences in an authentic Nepalese environment; rich with culture. An additional plus will be the warm and welcoming Nepalese hospitality at its best within our home. We have three members in our family: me (Shanker), my mother and our daughter (Chun Chun) who is 17 years old. My brother Pradeep runs a small money exchange office in Thamel, which is about a 20 minutes direct walk from our home. Our home is located in a very safe and peaceful residential area called Gongabu Town Planning, Gongabu. We belong to the Newar ethnic group, who are the indigenous people of Kathmandu Valley. I am an aquatic ecologist who has fortunately been working out of our coastal rain-forest property for 35 years. Driven by strong curiosity, I have recently been developing long-term data sets on the animal life in the forest that surrounds our home, plus on tropical marine fish that are steadily increasing in numbers under the influence of climate change at the nearby very beautiful Seal Rocks area (for details click on my website link below). We have 20 acres with 2 acres cleared and the remainder moist tall forest and rainforest. It is on the coast 3 hrs drive north of Sydney (1.5km from Smiths Lake; 30km south of Forster) See my blog link below to glimpse the accommodation, typical work and fun. We have a 180 squ m vegetable garden at times needing attention which has been enclosed to keep out our friends the wallabies (pademelons), possums, parrots and native bush turkeys. Bush regeneration is another activity as well as assisting in ecological surveys of local rivers when t...

Hi there everyone, I am Mark and we are looking for people to help with our on-going farm project (based on a permaculture ideas): Working on our water system, in the fields and garden, fruit trees, looking after the sheep, ducks and chickens, our on going alternative energy source, and now just starting on the communal and private spaces that are to be rebuilt. etc...... We also work at local events with lights, electrics, compost toilet rentals and generally helping out, from the local may-poll dance to concerts and working in the theatre. The Key Word the Discribes the Farm is "Autonomy" (i feel that autonomous people can come together to create community) We are all individual cells in a greater growing expanding living organism called humanity, that is slowly coming to recognise itself as a whole and no longer separate and alone. Please note: for high maintenance people this is not for you. Be prepared for OFF-GRID in nature experience ! A Quick Note: The shower...

Stay with us by a beautiful lake, wake up to the sound of birds, enjoy the sunrise from our beach, disconnect from the noise, become more sustainable, feel the essence of nature and climb the volcano where we live. We are looking for self-sufficient and collaborative individuals to join our team of four volunteers dedicated to maintaining and guarding the property. We offer a straightforward exchange: your work in return for food. If you value independence, don't mind routine tasks, love being surrounded by nature and embrace a self-directed way of living, this could be the perfect fit for you! ---- 📢 📢 𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗘 𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗘 𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗘: 𝗕𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝘀, 𝘄𝗲 𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝘀𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆. Would like to learn and look after a vineyard, distillery and winery this season, no experience is necessary. Established in 1998 and hosting HELPXers for over 15 years, it is the only certified organic winery in the Perth region. It is situated in the Swan Valley, 7km from Elenbrook and 15km from the Perth airport. The vineyard has 3,000 vines, a large house we live in, a machinery shed, and a winery/distillery on the property. Winemaking occurs during the summer months from January to March. A large, spacious room has a double bed attached to the house with a private entrance. Applications for couples or two people are open now. Opportunities for spring and summer vineyard work are available now. Couples with Visitor visas are also welcome. I want (NON-smoking) volunteers who wish to experience distillery, vineyard, and winemaking work. During the season, there are generally outdoor activities, such as winery and vine work, plus gardening if it is not raining or too hot. Be p...

I am interested in hearing from suitable single female helpers that are able to stay around 3-4 weeks and can assist with care and maintenance of my sailing catamaran and home. My preference for female helpers is largely to do with the type of work you will perform and attention to detail that is required. When I have work that is better suited to males I will advertise as such….just not needed now. We will be departing the sunshine coast after Xmas then cruise out to Great Keppel island and Lady Musgrave reef as weather permits. I have no schedule at present but there will be plenty of places to visit and or options to depart from. You will be an active, motivated person interested in marine life, reefs, turtles, fishing, snorkeling and the ocean as well as wanting to experience life on a comfortable sailing boat. I ask you to volunteer a few hours work each day in return for your own ensuite cabin with all meals provided while aboard. The work you will perform is mostly helping...

Hello everybody, Bonjour français welcomed! We are a young family of 4. We live on the Northern Beaches in beautiful Pittwater on an island in 1 of the 3 harbours of Sydney, so boat access only!!! It is a beautiful place, with a very close knit community and very different from most places you've been to! Not easy every day but I guess that is also what brought us here! We really like to meet new people and to share our simple lifestyle. We have a few jobs that may be required so depending if you are a single person or a couple and depending of what is needing we might change things around. We are in the process of building so things to do with preparing the built or carrying building materials can be things on the job list. But we would love to get some help around the house. And also maybe some help with kids. We'd be looking for 4-5 hours work a day for 5 days. This could be changed to 6 hours a day 3 days a week if we really start the build. Everything will be talked to wi...

Kiaora, Shalom and hello to you!!! Our home is queer, arty and vegan, we are a quirky Kiwi married female couple living with 5 small dogs and 2 mini horses. We live rural near a town called Warkworth, 50 minutes drive ( by car ) north of Auckland CBD. ***Note, we are rural, so walking to town is possible but a tad dangerous and takes about 40 mins. If you are wanting to do things off the property outside work hours, having a car is essential otherwise just understand you’d mostly just be staying here as it’s not close to walk places :) *** We have hosted many people all over the world for over a decade now!!! lots from Germany, France, Israel and so on. We love meeting new people and potentially making new friends who just LOVE boardgames especially! :) We are: Jasmine 45 and Sharyn who is 48. We are both currently designing board games. Sharyn is a dog groomer from home ( separate building ) and Jasmine works from home. Note… One of us smokes medical cannibis inside and we a...

My name is Victor and I have been teaching English to young people from my community for 8 years. I have a small school in downtown Tehuantepec near the market, banks, restaurants, and the tropical forest full of coconuts, bananas, and mangoes. Tehuantepec is located 20 minutes from the ocean beach community, Salina Cruz. I am located only a five minutes taxi ride from the local bus station. I am looking for one person at a time to come and work with my students, which includes conversing with my students and teaching if you are able to. My students need more practice talking to people who speak fluent and clear english. I ask for five or six hours a day working with my students and in return I offer a place for you to sleep and one meal a day and a tour around the city to show you my local culture. You can stay for a minimum one week and a maximum of two weeks, but we can make a deal if it works out and you want to stay longer I have lived here all my life and can introduce you...

In your free time, you can walk in the forest and mountains, chill in the r...

My name is Edison I have a wife, her name is Nofi. I also have two children, Ochta (32 years old) and Fadlil (12 years old). Ochta can speak English. I run a private English school for children between the ages of 7 and 19 in the small town of Batusangkar, West Sumatra. I would like to welcome any fluent English speakers under the age of thirty to assist my teachers in the classroom. You would help immensely by having simple conversations with the students and providing them a real English speaking experience inside or outside the classroom. All the students are very welcoming and curious about my visitors, and I am certain that you will have a great experience while interacting with them.
