We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week. Our preference is for a single person or couple who have some skil...

We are looking for a couple or single, to help from January the 8th This work is in the flower gardens, it is a bit repetitive and can be hard work. Please only apply if you are fit and have previously done garden or farm work. We are in a family home in a semi rural area. It is only ten minutes drive to the town of Frankton and five minutes to Arrowtown. We are surrounded by fantastic walks of varied lengths and on the network of bike trails. We have plenty of outdoor work at the moment. We have a very small cut flower farm.. It is better with your own car so that you can get around, but not essential. The sleeping arrangement is a large room with several beds, couch and a tv. Your own bathroom. Queenstown is a beautiful area to explore, walk, bike, ski, depending on the season. You can be flexible with your 4 hours a day so that you can enjoy the surrounding area. Suitable for anyone who is used to heavyish work

Welcome! Your choice: You can exchange two hours help a day for the room only, or you can work for 4 hours a day and we provide meals. We have a private spot close to town here, and are two friendly people, a little dog, and some chickens. Our quiet and green home is in easy and pleasant walking distance of Nelson city centre. It's like being in the country. There is also a bus just steps away, if you want to get into town quickly. This is a good mix - looking after trees, garden, house and each other; making music; preserving fruit, etc We - meaning us two, Ian and Eva - love WWOOFers who enjoy what we are doing, and want to be friendly and part of the family. Eva is a Homoeopath, Ian is an Engineer, we both love to sing, eat, and share good food, and have fun with friendly woofers. The house is surrounded by green hills, with some of Nelson's best bike tracks and walks right next to us. We love cooking and sharing meals. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. Summer discription: besides our work on the farm we organise international workcamps, long-term stays, and voluntary work in different companies as printery, carpentry, farming, nursery If you like to learn milking cows or driving an old tractor, cutting hedges, shear sheep, build fences or throw honey, test your strength in the muck or while digging the garden - you should join us. If you find dung and greens not so interesting, we understand :-) We are a living and working community with different workshops and bio-dynamic farming in Germany, Baden-Wuerttemberg. We are doing carpentry, printing, video production, publishing and distribution - it is always possible to help. Depending what you want to learn, you can help. We have four more than less old houses here in the village, so we also have to do a lot of construction work. The farming we do is not a business for us to earn money. We do it because we think farming is an important part in a holistic way of life. We have sheep, ...

Hello everyone. Thanks for your interest. I am now looking particularly for HelpX people with some specialised practical skills. People who can stay at least a week would be great. If you’re interested please reply telling me a bit about yourself and your interests, skill sets and abilities. I look forward to hearing from you. Haumoana is a small, very artsy and alternative, semi rural seaside village. There are two surfing spots very close by. Yoga and pilates classes and great coffee shops 5 minutes away as well as a well provisioned grocery store near by. Miles of bike tracks, mostly off-road mean you can ride to the two larger towns Napier and Hastings on bikes I provide. If you don’t have your own transport you should be aware Haumoana does not have any public transportation and you will need to bike wherever you wish to go though sometimes I can offer to take you somewhere. You will be glamping in a tiny gorgeous cabin perched above a lagoon next to the beach with your own ...

Hi. We have a fantastic property to enjoy. Lots of animals, horses and 1 cat and 2 dogs,. we love our furry family and think you will too. We have a strong focus on horses and if you are comfortable around them you are welcome to spend time with them. There are several horses and we breed 2-3 foals most years. There is always time to hang out with the foals and take gorgeous photos in the wonderful evening light.. The garden is quite big but easy to work in. We have hedge trimmers, leaf blowers and a quad bike so the work isn't heavy. We try to grow and use our own food over the spring and summer. WE have a beautiful river next to us, the dog loves heading down for swimming on hot days.. And there are some great bush walks within a short drive locally. Waipawa is a 10 minute drive away with regular bus service. We are happy for visitors to work just the 4 hours or to do a double up and have a day off exploring Hawkes Bay. We enjoy getting together in the evenings with you and chat ...

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

We are a retired couple returning home to England from living in France. So plenty to talk about. Growing up in England then our lives in France. We are moving to Suffolk east of England. It's a lovely area, the town of Mildenhall is home to a military air base. We are within walking distance of the town, it's small but has a few shops. There is a bus service that is well connected to Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds etc all larger historic towns. We now have a house that has been neglected for years, it has the possibility with some help to be a warm comfortable home. At the moment it needs every room decorating. If you are good at, or wish to learn stripping off the old decor sanding painting wallpapering, all the skills involved in making an old tired 1970s house into our home please get in touch. We have been hosting in both the UK and France since 2008, UK prior to our move to France 2008 to 2011 and in France from 2009 until now. Unfortunately Helpx have been unable to restore ou...

Approximately 20km from Westport, 1km from Tauranga Bay! Public transport is limited? I'm a Certified Plumber and Drainlayer by trade but recently retired to work on property (next stage of life!) This is a real traditional local small farm (Monte) 18km from Grandola, in beautiful Alentejo, Portugal: olive trees (60), orange trees (30), other fruit trees and cork oak. Our vegetable and herb gardens provide us with food. All this surrounded by grazing sheep. There are two main houses, the smaller one (68m2, two rooms) being available for helpers. It is cosy and comfortable, with own privacy, kitchen, hot water shower, washing machine, compost toilet. Clean and beautiful. Bicycles available to check out the surroundings or going to the village (5km). Helpers are offered good accommodation (the Gardener’s house with two rooms), a well equipped kitchen to cook in and are free to use fruits and vegetables from the garden (depends on season). Helpers cook mostly for themselves (what is needed is provided). Working hours follow natural rhythms, and are renegotiated daily, depending on work project, weather etc. Help for 2026 needed from around mid January when trimming grass and...

Hei ! Here is Ingunn and Mathieu. We are a Norwegian-French couple and since mai 2021 a happy family of three. Our family house "Karnes Gaard" is a farm since the 16th century. In 1912, Ingunn's grand father gave part of the land for the Tromsø county to build "Solhov", prestigious boarding school and largest wooden building north of Trondheim. When Ingunn took over the farm in 2009, running it organically felt something obvious. And when Solhov was for sale the next year, a dream became possible : sharing our love for the Lyngen Alps by hosting guests who seek breathtaking surroundings, healthy stay and organic local food, peaceful lifestyle and carbon-free activities. Our dream is to serve as much as possible our organic and local products to these guests. Originally we grow potatoes and strawberries. We are trying several small scale production to see what is possible to grow here up north. At the moment, we are focusing in : - increasing our honeybees park, hives and flowers -...

If you are interested in learning about Nepalese cultures, cuisines, traditions and festivals, then a homestay is the best way to see the real Nepal. By doing this you will be introduced to a plethora of brand new experiences in an authentic Nepalese environment; rich with culture. An additional plus will be the warm and welcoming Nepalese hospitality at its best within our home. We have three members in our family: me (Shanker), my mother and our daughter (Chun Chun) who is 17 years old. My brother Pradeep runs a small money exchange office in Thamel, which is about a 20 minutes direct walk from our home. Our home is located in a very safe and peaceful residential area called Gongabu Town Planning, Gongabu. We belong to the Newar ethnic group, who are the indigenous people of Kathmandu Valley. Newari culture is historically rich and possesses many unique traditions and rituals; one of which includes marrying our daughters to the bel-tree fruit and the Sun. At the same time, you wi...

This is only the second school in Nagarkot, nice Nepalese village in Bhaktapur district; a 1.5 hrs bus ride from Kathmandu. It hopes to provide an English medium education for underprivileged children. The school has 7 staff members taking care of its 80+ students - aged from 4 to 12 years old - and would benefit from any help volunteers can provide. Volunteers can expect to as class helpers and also share teaching tips with the school if they can. Volunteers can also help beautify the classrooms murals to help the kids as visual aids during their school time. Other jobs for volunteers include: - Writing class exercises and homework exercises for students (we have no printing/photocopying facilities) - Designing class quizzes and tests - Introducing interactive, educational games through which children can learn ...

We have a static caravan on our croft which was used this year and last year by two HelpX couples and their dogs but now needs major work. We are looking for someone who has the skills to save it from landfill. They will need to live in it or their own van while they do the major repairs. After that, they can live in it without having to work for us. An August gale blew the roof blew off, and although it was replaced the next day, the interior is now very damp. The living area is the most badly affected with rotten floorboards which need to come up and be replaced. There is a leak still from the roof, possibly down the wall by the door, but we have been unable to locate it. We're offering this caravan as a DIY project to anyone who would like to spend time on North Uist and who may subsequently decide to stay on for a while, without having to work, or keep the caravan. We will pay for materials. There is calor gas and electricity and wifi. The kitchen functions. The bedroom is not we...

I have been away from help x for a few years but due to the fact that I am recovering from an injury I now need a bit of help again on the farm. I very...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. Please note, we cannot host anyone with any pre existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions). We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our doorstep, hiking trails through the mountains and forests, cycling paths, and skiing in the...

This is a real traditional local small farm (Monte) 18km from Grandola, in beautiful Alentejo, Portugal: olive trees (60), orange trees (30), other fruit trees and cork oak.

Becoming an independent class teacher is also an option for long-term volunteers as soon as they have a grasp on the school's curriculum and vision for students.

Looking for helpers starting spring 2026. In the spring and summer months, we will need help planting, watering and weeding the garden. Other projects may include fixing up an old barn, introducing livestock, painting, weeding flower beds, building a treehouse, and building garden gates. Our home is on a quiet and peaceful country road with views of farms and fields and we have recently added a kitchen garden. The garden overlooks the river, which is great for catching small mouth bass and also attracts deer, bald eagles and other wildlife. Helpers will stay in their own private camper complete with toilet and shower, queen sized bed, tv, full kitchen, and dining table. We will share one meal together every day, usually lunch or dinner, and during the summer months you will have access to as many garden vegetables as you want. 15 minutes west is Bowling Green, a college town with excellent bars, restaurants, and coffee shops. 10 minutes east is Pemberville, a charming small town w...
