I am an aquatic ecologist who has fortunately been working out of our coastal rain-forest property for 35 years. Driven by strong curiosity, I have recently been developing long-term data sets on the animal life in the forest that surrounds our home, plus on tropical marine fish that are steadily increasing in numbers under the influence of climate change at the nearby very beautiful Seal Rocks area (for details click on my website link below). We have 20 acres with 2 acres cleared and the remainder moist tall forest and rainforest. It is on the coast 3 hrs drive north of Sydney (1.5km from Smiths Lake; 30km south of Forster) See my blog link below to glimpse the accommodation, typical work and fun. We have a 180 squ m vegetable garden at times needing attention which has been enclosed to keep out our friends the wallabies (pademelons), possums, parrots and native bush turkeys. Bush regeneration is another activity as well as assisting in ecological surveys of local rivers when t...

Would like an energetic couple or single person to help out with gardening, and housework. We would expect about 4-5 hours help a day in return for free accommodation and meals. Large bedroom and own bathroom. We have animals so, would prefer someone who enjoyed them being around. There are many wonderful places to explore in Hawkes Bay when you are not working. Fantastic cycle ways, tramping trips into the native bush areas, beaches and wonderful wineries. Prefer you to have your own car to get around and beable to see the region.

OUR Ecovillage (1999) is looking towards a creative and fun season of committed volunteers who wish to work within a collective project opportunity. We are working on the next 25yr Vision and with this are building a very large public art installation project (earthen/cob Dragon sculpture with lots of mosaic work!). OUR 'regenerative living learning journey' forms the platform for the efforts we put towards making a difference in the world. We work within intercultural/intergenerational/interfaith/inter-nation restorative justice framework on our farm and work with research teams on soil/wastewater/energy systems design/etc, and permaculture education projects with learners from local to global! This means we are working with: the gardens, livestock/poultry, food forests, natural building (earthen, strawbale, plaster projects, finishing work, carpentry, etc), food preservation, yummy kitchen crafting for shared meals, mosaic and mural artwork, supporting Eco-tourism & farm guests ...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. Before you read our profile... please be aware that if there are two people applying, BOTH people must be members of HelpX. (couples or friends who are joint members are fine). You also must have HEALTH INSURANCE. Iโ€™d like to see evidence of that when you arrive (our recent HelpX got sick and ended up in hospital here. Very expensive! But she did have health insurance!). We love our HelpXers and will definitely treat you like family while you are with us. The HelpX bedroom is a โ€˜sleepoutโ€™. Itโ€™s a room in my workshop, which is 10 metres from our house. The bedroom is BASIC. NOT luxurious. Just a very plain , newly painted bedroom with two beds. There is a toilet in the sleepout / workshop but the showers are inside our home. If you are really fussy about your bedroom, please donโ€™t apply. You ARE welcome to spend as much time as they like in the house with us. In summer, youโ€™ll want to hang out at the pool and spend time in the fale (pool house). We are eas...

NON SMOKERS ONLY! I am in LAUNCESTON TASMANIA. I (Yvonne) have a house in West Launceston, it is not a farm, it is a friendly house in a quiet Launceston suburb! I can accommodate one or two FEMALE helpers (Due to the religious Haram restrictions of one of our residents I can't accommodate male helpers) for about a week or so. Current vacancies are from 8th December 2025 to 4th January 2026, and then again after 17th January 2026. Minimum stay three nights. Please inquire about available dates. Accommodation (for a single or two females) is in a private room with a double-bed. (Pictured). I can also add a single camp-bed in this room if helpers are two women who don't share a bed. I have been unwell, have poor eyesight, am on a restricted diet and am often busy doing volunteer community work, so I find it too difficult to have to cook meals and supply food. I can only offer an arrangement where you do two hours work per day for just accommodation and you supply your own food and co...

In most local families in our community there are many children and youth who don't have motivation with education, even their parent they are not motivated to take them to school, therefore you will see many children and youth in the street loosing opportunity of getting education. Our project is alternative way to educate and motivate these Children to have equal opportunity of getting better education. Hi everyone , I would like to have some help to get my house and garden organized and take care of my dog, she is 8 year old and maybe some minor construction work like sanding or painting. It would be great to have someone around if possible for at least 2-3 weeks so if you want to be part of a fun time just contact us. The Region offers lots of beautiful sites to discover and many sports activities are available. Connections by train are easy to every were. I live in a small town on the country side, speak french, english and german. Feel free to ask more details. It would be great to host someone independant, who likes to organize work alone and who would enjoy the privacy of a room and bathroom in a house with a garden. Lots of opportunities to visit the country as trains are running often and anywhere from early morning to late night. We are used to travel and have enjoyed so many helpers from around the world. See you soon !

Kia ora, travellers! Haere mai - welcome - to my whare (home) in beautiful Honeymoon Valley, surrounded by native rainforest, birds and insects. We built this eco-earth house using local clay from right under our feet. This land used to be just grass, but after 30 years caring for this whenua, there are mature trees, orchards and organic gardens. Life here is peaceful and quiet, perfect for enjoying nature I am part of the local landcare group, protecting our native forest, birds, lizards and insects. We trap predators and remove invasive weeds. You could help with organic/permaculture gardening: vegetables, flowers, herbs, fruit trees, chickens, mowing, brush-cutting, compost-making, maintenance and fixing things (basic carpentry, painting), sewing, cleaning, chopping firewood. I bake bread. I make apple cider vinegar, bottle fruit, jam, chutney, sauerkraut, and collect seeds. My place fits independent, mature helpers who have work & life experience. I work at our local kura (scho...

Are you interested in spending some time in the Christchurch area during your travels? We have spent the past 120 years hosting helpers and woofers on our farm in Le Bons Bay and our lifestyle block in Little River but recently our family life required a shift to town. We now have a huge garden, new orchard and an old villa, all of which could use your help. My son & his partner also live on a lifestyle block 20 mins out of town that you can also help with. We figure being in town could be useful for those just arriving or soon to be leaving from Christchurch. Or perhaps those who just need a few days or a week with fresh garden produce & home cooked meals. Accommodation at my son's is in a cute converted bus. As you can take the farmers to town but you can't take the farm out of our hearts, we still have chickens, cats, and a dog. My son also has horses. In exchange for 4 hours work on one of our many projects -weeding, gardening, renovating, fencing, building, maintenance, clea...

Hola todas! My place is an old grain mill with half a hectare of land. I live here for more than 15 years. Work is mostly in the garden. Weeding, digging, planting, watering, harvesting and off course eating. There is a big cat family living on the land. Help in the kitchen is welcome. Special dietary requirements must be met by the helpers. In the area there are many activities possible. More yoga teachers than there are students, meditations, dancing, singing,....! Many communities of all sorts. Hiking in all directions. Even skiing starting beginning of December. I try to keep a healthy environment, so no drugs that cloud your spirit. No dogs either. People mostly stay between one and two weeks. Work is about 5 days a week, 4 hours a day. Food and lodging included. Flexible. Work depends on peoples abilities. Any questions? Always happy to explain!

Stay with us by a beautiful lake, wake up to the sound of birds, enjoy the sunrise from our beach, disconnect from the noise, become more sustainable, feel the essence of nature and climb the volcano where we live. We are looking for self-sufficient and collaborative individuals to join our team of four volunteers dedicated to maintaining and guarding the property. We offer a straightforward exchange: your work in return for food. If you value independence, don't mind routine tasks, love being surrounded by nature and embrace a self-directed way of living, this could be the perfect fit for you!

DEAR HELPERS : We are happy to come back to helpx website and welcome you after more than 4 years We invite you to the heart of Savitaipale, Finland. My husband Matthias and I, Johanna, came from Germany as backpackers in the 1980s. We met here in NZ, but our home language is German. We are a family with eight children, three of them married, and five grandchildren. Three of our children are living at home (1 of them home-schooling, 2 working). Our oldest son with his wife and 4 young boys has moved back to our property two years ago, - now living in our cottage; another son with his wife and baby has moved into a smaller house on our property. And a friend lives in our housetruck. So life is happening to the full! Sadly, my husband passed away in January 2024 after a short time of intense illness. We miss him much! Our lifestyle block is home to a gaggle of geese, a flock of domestic ducks, around 40 chickens, some sheep and sometimes a few young male goats, - and of course many wild birds, rabbits and the tiny creatures of fields, woods and duck-pond. An old apple, apricot and peach orchard and a young walnut grove are also part...

Hi. We have a fantastic property to enjoy. Lots of animals, horses and 1 cat and 2 dogs,. we love our furry family and think you will too. We have a strong focus on horses and if you are comfortable around them you are welcome to spend time with them. There are several horses and we breed 2-3 foals most years. There is always time to hang out with the foals and take gorgeous photos in the wonderful evening light.. The garden is quite big but easy to work in. We have hedge trimmers, leaf blowers and a quad bike so the work isn't heavy. We try to grow and use our own food over the spring and summer. WE have a beautiful river next to us, the dog loves heading down for swimming on hot days.. And there are some great bush walks within a short drive locally. Waipawa is a 10 minute drive away with regular bus service. We are happy for visitors to work just the 4 hours or to do a double up and have a day off exploring Hawkes Bay. We enjoy getting together in the evenings with you and chat ...

Hi beautiful people! Iโ€™m Christine, a happy spirited former language and arts teacher working across two continents. Since I retired I work in the natural health field. I live on an urban block called The Rooโ€˜s Pouch, where I maintain a sustainable vegetable garden and created a community of nice people living with me. I live in one of the three buildings on this sunny property which runs on rainwater harvesting. We avoid chlorine and contaminates by filtering, harmonizing and ionizing our water. So water conservation is part of life for me. The corner block is in a suburb of Maryborough. There are 3 beautiful public parks surrounding with lots of kangaroos hopping peacefully around, near to the Mary River. The historic city of Maryborough has a lot to offer and is the home town of Mary Poppins. We are only 30 min by car from the ocean in Hervey Bay with wale watching when in season. Hervey Bay is at the doorsteps of Fraser Island/Kโ€™Gari. I offer for single or couple a bedroom wit...

Savitaipale is a beautiful, hospitable little town in between the lakes Saimaa and Kuolimo. It is well known for its various sports facilities (gym, pool, ice hockey, ice skating, curling, volleyball, tennis, horse riding, etc). Occasionally, we take our helpers to our cottage. The cottage is in a beautiful location near a lake with almost nobody around and where you can enjoy Finnish nature.
