Located in the heart of The Swan Valley with the Avon River flowing through we enjoy walking to the local wineries, kayaking, fishing, incredible sunsets & peaceful surroundings . Our property is home to Kookaburras, native wildlife, friendly goats, three adult humans, horses and cats & dogs. Previously a winery we need a hand to maintain the remaining vines, olive trees and property maintenance. The River gives us a lot of joy but also causes a lot of work in cleaning up after flooding so property clean up is ongoing. Our family is mainly four legged and we have baby goats being born in spring so need a hand giving them lots of cuddles and taking care of them. We are a strictly a non smoking property and focus on working smarter not harder. We work with elements so we offer a variety of tasks depending on the season on what people enjoy doing. Jobs include pruning vines, picking grapes, collecting firewood, helping with goats, fixing fencing, hand weeding, painting, cleaning , ...

I am an ecologist, surfer and mum, who is passionate about restoring our sand dune ecosystems. I am owner operator of a sand dune restoration company. We grow and plant sand dune plants, restoring this threatened environment and essential buffer between the land and the sea. We live a healthy lifestyle by the ocean in the small coastal village of Ngunguru on the Tutukaka Coast located 30 km from Whangarei City. The Tutukaka Coast is well known for its pristine beaches, surfing, diving at the Poor Knights, fishing, walking and enjoying the beautiful coastline. Own transport preferred but happy to pick up from the bus or airport in Whangarei and bring out to the coast if travelling without. I am looking for fit, reliable and practical helpers to join my native plant nursery team for a minimum of one week, with the opportunity to stay longer if it is working well for everyone. Looking for help from mid-October (after 12 October) through to mid-November 2026. The work includes: • P...

Hobbits are "little people" with big hearts and big bare feet firmly connected with mother earth. They habitually live "under the radar" of some PC embellished society and try all their best to not succumb to the madness of it. Claiming their birth right to nature's abundance, love, beauty and endless creativity they naturally make up to and make do with the lack of gold caused by the greedy child-eating dragon behind the bare stone mountains.. Hi, my name is Marianne. I live on a classic New Zealand all-day sunny "tree quarter acre of hobbit shire" looking down to Oamaru. If you arrive early enough at my kitchen window or even up on the jungle hill behind the cottage, you can see the sea and watch the sunrise. A 10 minute stroll down Eden Street gets you either to the CBD or to the shoreline. I am providing three basic meals per day as well as a comfortable and quiet room for your stay and to relax after our daily four hours of working together "out there", somewhere on some befitt...

I am an aquatic ecologist who has fortunately been working out of our coastal rain-forest property for 35 years. Driven by strong curiosity, I have recently been developing long-term data sets on the animal life in the forest that surrounds our home, plus on tropical marine fish that are steadily increasing in numbers under the influence of climate change at the nearby very beautiful Seal Rocks area (for details click on my website link below). We have 20 acres with 2 acres cleared and the remainder moist tall forest and rainforest. It is on the coast 3 hrs drive north of Sydney (1.5km from Smiths Lake; 30km south of Forster) See my blog link below to glimpse the accommodation, typical work and fun. We have a 180 squ m vegetable garden at times needing attention which has been enclosed to keep out our friends the wallabies (pademelons), possums, parrots and native bush turkeys. Bush regeneration is another activity as well as assisting in ecological surveys of local rivers when t...

Now accepting guests for quite a very long time! I am currently building a house from scratch and at this moment I need help landscaping and hoisting up tools (super easy). The yard could use a day or two of cleaning up and leveling and planting. I prefer to not be the decision maker on what get planted so helpers can have at it. I live a 15 min bike ride to the quarter where lots of history and good music are always on display. There are second lines, mardi gras events, day of the dead parades, gay easter parades, decadence, pride, naked bike rides, community rides as well, and on and on. The festival season is from october to May and there are so many things to see and do in the new Orleans area. My ol lady loves the music and I love the urban exploring and adrenaline nature stuff. In exchange for work I'll offer food and fun city events that are ongoing. At this point in the project I can offer my fully functional tiny house (300 sqft), spare room inside the big house, a p...

This is a language cafe is designed for those who are willing to meet Korean locals and the ones from overseas. We provide them with the time and the place to meet and get to know each other while have conversations in English. I know from my experience that travelling or staying in other countries is not just doing sightseeing but experiencing the real life there. Here we try to bond them together as friends. If you are looking for something that can give you a chance to meet locals and to be mingled with them, this would be the best option for you. About the program : This is about the language practice and sharing their cultures, experiences and the thoughts. As long as you are an easygoing person to talk, open-minded and fluent in English, you can join us. As we are NOT looking for English teachers, it really doesn't matter which country you're from and you don't have to teach but have a conversation in English. And basically it is a 2 way conversation so you don't have to ta...

Caring House-Sitter & Kitten Companion Needed (28 Sept – 8 Oct). About Us & The Property: We are experienced HelpX hosts with a history of welcoming fantastic international helpers (and glowing reviews to match!). We are looking for a trustworthy, mature individual or couple to house-sit and keep our home running smoothly for 10 days, from 28 September to 8 October. After 16 years, and hosting almost 100 HelpXers, at our property in Larnook, in the Northern Rivers region, Steve and I have moved to a new place in Tenterfield, at the northern end of the New England Tableland. All of our reviews up until September 2024, are related to our previous place. We are now ready to accept HelpXers at our new place. Steve and I are a gay couple and we offer a high quality experience (as you can see from our reviews) and so we expect our Helpers to pitch in and help. The more you put into your time here at Tenterfield, the more you will get out of it. We have lots of small work jobs at present including lots of weeding and gardening, mowing, establishing herb and vege gardens, pruning and cutting back and some other work. Our property is situated a few kilometers west of the town of Tenterfield, in a quiet, rural area. We usually expect around 4 hours per day of work in exchange for all meals, your own room, access to internet (for checking emails, looki...

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) , please don't come if you have a heavy cold or flu, I'm involved with the elderly. Cheers Al

Hello ! My name is Estelle. My english is not that good... So excuse me for this very short description... I would tell you much more if you contact me :) I spent 13 years in Germany. German students welcome. French courses possible. I'm 60,5 years young and would like to have some help for the garden and a little bit for the house. I have a guesthouse, not working much during the winter, so I have time to receive Helpers. I’am a writer and I have a cultural association. It takes me time… So I’am greatfull for people able to work on their owne in the garden. I would share time for lunch and diner. Proposal for week-stay (1, 2 or 3 weeks or more) : 20 hours helping per a week. I would be cooking. You can make helping hours how you like during the week. It lets you time discovering the area : country and ocean. You organise your meals. I'd like to install a permaculture in the garden. I know how to do it, but I need help !

Hi. I would like some help with the overgrown garden and with some cleaning of the exterior of my house. The work might involve ladders and work to deal with branches and loads of vegetation. I have hosted lots of HelpXers in the past and really enjoyed meeting new people. Perhaps you are tired of travelling and need time to settle for a while. Perhaps you are looking for farm work. The Atherton Tablelands is a region that employs hundreds of farm workers. You could orietate yourself to the area while you are here. If you are willing and available, I would love to hear from you. I would also appreciate someone who is responsible around the house, cleaning etc. I have a little dog, Opal. She is very loving and affectionate. She has a way of winning everyone's heart. She loves company, cuddles, walks and play. She is not a puppy any longer and so is happy to sleep a lot as well. Oh, et en plus, Elle est francophone. My family is bilingual, English/French. I was an English...

I have a large section with plenty of gardening that needs to be done; anything from weeding to lawn mowing or hedge trimming. I love traveling myself, having been to 125 countries, so can offer lots of amazing chats over dinner. I also enjoy playing board games and have quite a collection to enjoy some evening entertainment. In my spare time I play a bit of badminton, and am trying to play golf, though I need a lot of practice.

** CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR HELP** Hi, welcome to NZ, and hopefully to Kōpuaranga, Masterton! Our home out of site of other houses, so a rural experience, views and usually a great night sky are guaranteed - yet still only a ten minute drive to our service town of Masterton which has rail links to Wellington. An easy pick up or drop off if you do not have your own vehicle. We are located just a 1.5 hour drive north of Wellington off State Highway 2. Masterton is central to a lot of walks, mountains rivers and coastline and some beach/ surf communities too. We have a river boundary with trout and eels, and it is great for a speedy dip on the hot days before the nature gets too curious! We have now been on this property for 18 months, so much has been achieved with HelpX travel friends, but we are only half way through... Outside we are building bird rearing pens, raising chickens and sheep, and further developing our produce and ornamental gardens. Inside we are wallpaper stripping...

We’ve recently built a wonderfully energy efficient passive solar house, complete with off-grid solar for all our energy needs, rain water collection for all our water needs, and a worm farm waste management system for natural black and grey water processing. We’ve put a lot of work in to achieve a fossil-fuel-free, all-electric, household, with as small an environmental footprint as possible. We’re also lucky to live in a beautiful rural/coastal area near Inverloch, Victoria, approximately 1 hour 45 minutes south-east of Melbourne. We are close to some of Victoria’s most famous wildlife and wilderness attractions, including the Penguin Parade at Phillip Island, the Koala Conservation Reserve, and hiking and camping at Wilson’s Promontory (not to mention numerous local beaches and fishing spots only 10 minutes away!). With our house complete, we’re now working to progress the landscaping aspects of our project. We’d be very appreciative of a helping hand or two to help complete: a na...

We have been renovating our 300 year old farm and house since 2007. We have an 16 year old son. We have accomplished a lot but there is still plenty to do. WHAT TO EXPECT: To benefit most from the experience, you should appreciate living in a natural environment, interacting with nature, and other volunteer helpers from different countries and cultures. The air is very clean and fresh because we are at 860 meters of altitude and our farm is surrounded by forest. We are not technically considered a bio farm, however, we value and try to live by its principles. It is a physical lifestyle. It is advised to bring strong shoes and hiking boots if you have them. Having lived in the Alaskan bush for many years, we live rustically. Getting older, we often have more to do each day that we have time for. Sometimes things get hectic. We have both travelled a lot in the past and enjoy meeting people from different countries and cultures. Normally, we work from 8am to 1pm have lunch and then ...

We are located in the heart of Berlin, one of Europe's most exciting and diverse cities. With its vibrant cultural scene, world-class museums, historic landmarks, countless cafĆ©s, parks, and excellent public transport, Berlin is the perfect place to experience urban life while enjoying a welcoming home environment. I would kindly ask you to help with painting, fencing, gardening, sweeping leaves, cleaning and maintaining the house, as well as feeding and caring for the animals. There is plenty of space to relax and enjoy your free time. You will have your own private room, and I will provide breakfast and one warm meal each day. If you enjoy cooking in a holistic and nutritious way, you are more than welcome to do so. I am always happy to share my knowledge about healthy food and learn from others as well. I am not just looking for someone to help with daily tasks—I would like to offer a meaningful cultural exchange and create a positive experience together. If you are interested in me...

Hi šŸ‘‹šŸ¼ We are Marine and SĆ©bastien from France, we moved to NZ in 2016 and are loving it! We have two young kids MaĆ«lys (6) and Lynx (4) and baby Swan (1 in October). Our house is situated in the beautiful town of Akaroa. If you're reading our past comments, we no longer live in the house in Little River, therefore we can only host people with their own van at our house in Akaroa, we have a space in the driveway with access to toilet. And the house is always open for shared meals, shower, laundry, movies night or board games etc We sometimes have a double room available in the house, but not always (when we have an au pair), so best is to ask and tell us what you need! We ask for 4 hours help per day, in exchange for food (3 meals) and accommodation. Our current projects are: - Help with the renovations on Marine's future shop, no skills needed as you'll work alongside the owner and he will do the technical stuff. - Help with setting up our garden this year, some branches to clear,...

Hello wonderful Help-xer's! We have an opportunity for a couple, to come for a week, or two weeks at a time. We are a family of five running a sheep and beef farm in Rissington, just out of Napier. (three children aged 12, 14 and 16) We have comfortable accommodation with your own large King bedroom and bathroom, that would suit an energetic, couple, or one/two motivated people travelling together who are keen to help with our beautiful riverside accommodation whilst learning about our culture and family along the way! You will stay and help cook meals for our family whilst having the opportunity to go out and explore the beautiful Hawkes Bay. We are looking for help with the following; landscaping, weeding, spraying, limbing up trees, spraying down and washing outside of buildings, washing windows, gardening and general maintenance around the property. Your own car would be an advantage. In return for your help, we would love to welcome you into our close-knit family and community ...

This is an exciting opportunity to have an experience that will stay with you throughout your life. Our Foundation aims at helping rural children receive a qualitative outstanding education. We have a volunteer teaching program to assist rural teachers and children get exposure to foreign languages and cultures. Because English is the second language in Thai schools, we concentrate on improving the English language skills of both rural teachers and children. At present, we aim to help 4 public elementary schools (grades 1 - 6) close to Chiang Mai. We are currently taking applications for volunteers who would available to start mid-November and commit to at least 8 weeks . We are looking for volunteers to teach English only. Couples are welcome as well. NOTE: We do not charge volunteers any fees for staying with us. The generous gift of your time and dedication is all the donation we will ask of you. We provide the volunteers lodging and meals in return for their generous servic...

We live on a beautiful property with established gardens and fruit trees on the Kapiti Coast. We are looking for a trustworthy, mature individual or couple to house-sit and keep our home running smoothly for 10 days, from 28 September to 8 October. The Role & Responsibilities This host role is unique and focuses primarily on presence, peace of mind, and light daily care rather than heavy physical labour: • Property & Pet Care: Feed, entertain, and care for our two energetic 5-month-old kittens. • Independent Family Presence: My active 92-year-old mother lives independently in her own self-contained cottage on the property. She manages her own daily routine, but we are looking for sitters who offer a warm, reassuring presence nearby and are comfortable being on-site in case o...

Preference is given to people who can stay for at least 6 weeks, longer is available. Free accommodation onsite with free fast Starlink internet.

LAST MINUTE AVAILABILITY - SEPTEMBER 2026! Need a place to improve your English? From a number of weeks maybe longer, I have availability for someone to have a nice visit to Carrick-on-Shannon. I offer accommodation, basic food, some help with your English in Carrick-on-Shannon, a lovely tourist town, popular with young and less young visitors alike, with great transport links from Dublin and is full of bars, restaurants, lovely walks and a beautiful boardwalk along the River Shannon. (There are direct bus links from Dublin Airport to Carrick-on-Shannon). As accommodation is limited, I can accommodate one person only.. no couples or friends - I'm sorry :) I like people to be friendly, engaging and flexible, sociable and outgoing, able to make new friends - I promise the same in return :) I am looking for a little help with gardening, basic DIY, painting.

This is a Standardbred Race Horse (Harness Racing) farm at the foot of Tamborine Mountain. Located 45 minutes from Brisbane in the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland. The closest train station is Beenleigh. Your own car is a plus. We welcome working holiday visa holders with good horse experience and most importantly a passion for horses !! In order to learn your daily task, routine and horses personalities, we will ask you to stay a minimum of 3 weeks. Long stays are really welcome. Your role on the farm would be helping with the daily care of our racehorses. It's an everyday job starting depending of the sun (4.30am in summer and later on winter time). We start each morning training the horses, washing them and feeding them. All the retired horses need to be feed and watered as well. We need to feed and water all the horses again each night before dark. The ideal helpers will be positive, willing and with a some decent english. Because it’s a 30 hec property and there is always some...
