We started our Vineyard back in 2004, it is located in a Beautiful, Quiet, Valley along the bluffs of the Mississippi River. We have five children that have now grown and moved out on there own. I just retired from a career of Process Instrument Work at the local power plant. I could use some help with the Vineyard and Gardens, but also enjoy fishing and boating on the river in the evenings and of course days off. We would be willing to supply your own bedroom ,great meals and WIFI. We also have two male Collies that love to get brushed and played with. Hi, Its spring! Labs are arriving and it’s gardening time! We need help. And we’re looking forward to meet you. We’re in rural North Canterbury, only 30 mins drive from. We’re on a 10 acre minifarm with a few sheep and young cattle and a large organic vegetable garden which we eat from every day. By car we're about 7 minutes drive to the sea, an hour to Hanmer Springs, 20 minutes from the Waipara Valley vineyard area. We have bicycles you can borrow to explore locally, and if you like hiking up hills there are a few nice tracks in close driving distance. In fact, I like hiking too, so I can maybe be your guide if I'm not otherwise busy. Accommodation is in a comfortable sleepout (queen bed) and you would use the bathroom in the house and share meals with us. WELCOME TO PARADISE GLENORCHY! We are a busy couple working full time and needing help with our property. Based in the spot chosen by the original settling family in the area, we have a really well established garden that needs taming and some quirky buildings that need some TLC. Looking for hardy gardeners, handy DIYers and folks who are keen to just generally get stuck in. We have a great retro caravan, sleep out, outdoor kitchen and bathroom set up that's screaming out for someone, two friends or a couple to bring it to life. We are near the Shoalwater Marine Park and Penguin Island 40mins from Perth city centre. Very close to public transport, cafes and library. Ideal for beach walking, diving, swimming, cycling, fishing, sailing and windsurfing (beach is 60 metres away). Accommodation would take form of a fully insulated cute tiny garden room with access to undercover cooking area and bathroom. IT is small so please See photos. On week days we are usually working in Perth so we cant provide meals, but a well-stocked supermarket is 200 metres away. When possible we can take turns for meals if possible. We are a family of three (our daughter is 4 years old) living on our family farm up the beautiful Clarence valley, half an hours drive north of Kaikoura. We have a mountain bike park on the farm, so this would be an ideal place for keen mountain bikers/ trail builders (although this is not a requirement!). If you have your own van/ self contained vehicle, there is a great spot to park up at the bike park camp ground. We need help during the season (October to April) to keep the grounds maintained and tidy. There's a pump track and jumps, so if you're travelling with your bike and enjoy sessioning jumps then this is ideal for you!! We're working on improving our camping facilities this season, so if you have skills building, landscaping, plumbing, or setting up solar panels then there is the opportunity for some paid work also.
