I have an opening for a volunteer person to help me with everyday life of looking after animals and some gardening, weeding & basic maintenance of the farm and some house duties in COLLINSVILLE north Qld. I can only accommodate one person. This is a great opportunity to get away from the city life and enjoy some country living. I have cats horses and chooks. There will be horse riding/training that you can help me with , I do western ranch & trail training, so I prefer someone that has riding experience 😀🐎 And a good understanding of English would be great. Meals accommodation wifi are supplied. Accommodation is a little caravan close by the house, which has a mini art gallery. ( if you like painting or doing craft we can do some painting ) Prefer 1 month stay, but shorter stays like 2 weeks are ok too. We live in a slightly isolated quiet area being 80km from the nearest big town & the coast( and the beautiful beaches of Bowen in the Whitsundays !😊) but do live in a small tow...

Hey! We (45 m, 37 f) started this project after years of traveling, incl. EVS/EFD, WWOOF, We also couch-surfed and hitch-hiked, and we caught the spirit of the eco-villages! Our main interests are tree nursery, seasonal grazing/regenerative agro-forestry, permaculture gardening, … and a good time (in case there is no mutual love with our dogs, we will keep them out of your zone) We’re making progress in remodeling the old farm house sustainable for the new times, still it’s Pioneer stage, so we welcome brave people! Hippies welcome! Permies more than welcome! We hosted a handful of volunteers via another platform before, and we are also learning from the experience and exchanges. Before that, we had dozens of couch-surfers in town over 2 decades. This is a (0.9 ha) Permaculture Farm, meant to produce food for 3-5 adults while conserving and raising bio-diversity (wild flowers, insects, fungi, animals, …), we are enthusiastic about Syntropic Agro-Forestry, and we like to share our ...

We've lived overseas for many years, including time in South America, Asia and the Middle East, and returned 15 years ago to start our 'off grid adventure'. Having 'internationalized' it's been time to put some roots down (literally) in a sustainable, creative and co-evolutionary way. These days we're a family of four (kids aged 13 and 10) with 3 dogs/chickens/guinea pigs. We speak some Spanish and a little Japanese and would receive foreigners eagerly (also fellow NZers of course). We're one hour's drive from the nearest towns (Kaitaia and Kerikeri) although a small organic co-op is twenty-five minutes away. Neighbours include a Bee-Keeper and his family, artists, potters and homesteaders, some of whom are open to receiving helpers who may wish to spend more time in the area. People wishing to learn about setting up off-grid so that they can do so themselves would be able to pick up valuable skills at our place. Helpers stay in either a fifteen by eight foot caravan with solar power...

We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week. Our preference is for a single person or couple who have some skil...

Summer openings for some of August Wow, exploring right outside our backdoor along side the Campbell River on Vancouver Island, is a beautiful place to experience Vancouver Island`s great outdoors this SUMMER with all the wild life right in our back yard :) Although we live on a one acre town lot, our back yard is situated on a cliff over looking an accessible beautiful heritage river, with a nature park setting of ferns, Douglas fir, maple and alder trees. You can often see deer, raccoons, bears and the silver backs of salmon and Steelhead fish jumping in the ebb and flow of the river’s pools. We have trail access to the river below, where you can enjoy listening to the sing song of many birds, tubing down the river/swimming in the heat of the summer, and trying your hand at casting for Steelhead fish. As well, our neighborhood is the access point to many scenic nature hiking, walking and biking trails. The ocean photo was taken a couple of miles from my home and all other photos...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. PLEASE NOTE WELL: we absolutely cannot host anyone with any pre-existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions), such as hay fever, any other allergies, sensitivities or intolerances. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our do...

It is our mission to provide visitors from all over the world with an authentic experience of the unique atmosphere and culture of our home in Canada’s far North. As a well-established tourism company, we are diversifying our impacts and create a more resilient business. Doing this is not only fulfilling our long-term mission of developing a self-sustaining Arctic Eco-Village, but also investigating innovative solutions to major obstacles facing communities in the North: food and housing insecurity, decolonizing our economy, capacity development and cultural revitalization. Sustainable farming is not the only focus we have here, but we are continuously developing ideas and trying new farming methods. We are happy to find people from all over the world who are as motivated as we are to make living in the Arctic more sustainable. Organic methods: In the summer time, when we enjoy 24 hour sunshine, we grow our plants in greenhouses without the use of any chemical/artificial fertilizers....

🌿 Come help on our farm! We need friendly volunteers to join us with cooking, cleaning, gardening, and everyday tasks — no experience needed, just a good attitude and willingness to muck in.We are looking for helpers between the ages of 18 to 32. We are a small community of friends working towards a better life in a beautiful part of rural Devon, in the Tamar River Valley Estuary where you will make friends for life. In exchange for your friendship while you are staying here we will endeavour to teach you new skills that will carry you through life. A small farm in a beautiful location! Our farm and home probably date back to pre 1660's, with many additions since. It has been left to go wild for the last 40 years. The river has otters, seals, beavers, salmon, sea trout, and sea bass. With buzzards and owls overhead. There are deer in the surrounding woodland. The aim for our farm is to give the land back to nature and at the same time create an organic food source that we can freely ...

Hi Helpers, We are situated in the heart of Raglan in a nice little tucked away valley (walking distance to the town center). On the land there are a few dwellings (two main houses, a yurt and a tiny house). As a helper you will live in the yurt. It has an attached litte bathroom/ composting toilet and an outside bamboo shower. There is a wood burner to keep the place cosy on those colder days. We are looking for someone (1 person or a couple probably best, but can be two friends) who can help with garden tidy-up (lawns, weeds and pruning) and other works around the property (e.g. clearing out the storm water drains, extending the garden, small building projects, etc.). In the valley we have a single person permanently living in the tiny house and the main house is currently used as an Airbnb. The second house is our family home of 4 (two children aged 9 and 11). There are also 7 chicken, two bunnies, and 3 cats. We ask for about 2 hours per day/person in exchange for accommo...

We are a couple in our 30's. Since to years, we have a 100 year old wooden house that we are currently renovating by ourselves. This is a "mini-farm": 1 ha of land and a small barn. We grow vegetables, root crops, and keep chickens for self-sufficiency. We have two cosy cats and a pensionist dog ;) Besides our interest in this kind of lifestyle we also love climbing, trail running, skiing and ski-touring in the winter. The mountains are very closeby ;) We would like some help with the continuous work of renovating our house and other construction-work. In the autumn of 2026, it will mostly be about helping with adding insulation and replacing the exterior cladding of the house, as well as replacing old windows with new ones. Some days we might also like some help with the animals/vegetable-garden/making fire-wood, foraging.... etc.. Lennart is swedish/ spanish and Sara is Swedish. We both travelled alot and lived in different places around the world in our 20's. We like to share tought...

I can't see the world, but the world can come see me. First and foremost, I want to thank all the helpers who came from United Kingdom-England, France, Belgium, Italy, China, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. Welcome Helpers. I live in the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia. Peaceful Hollow is quite with no neighbors in sight. There are no city lights, and you can see every star on a clear night! Pleaseful Hollow consists of: my cabin,/workshop with a private guestroom with private entrance on the second floor, and a very small guest cabin. My daughter and family moved here much later and have their own home. There is a lot you can be involved in, knowledge to share, friendships to build, and opportunities for growth. Below are routines and some projects. I would love to involve you! - Caring for honey bees, chickens, cats, dogs, one registered pure American Mulefoot boar pig, one gilt pig berkshire-tamworth with spots.. i am a fourth-generation beekeeper and has much ...

MOST URGENT NEEDS: -Someone who KNOWS land, soil, water as we are looking to acquire land in California to get things started! -Organizing many old things in the house we are in in San Francisco If you are a traveller, musician, community-orientated...this could also be a great place for you I am a chef and musician, that's been traveling pretty much non-stop since I started....After 15 years of traveling, living in many refugee projects, squats, intentional communities, collectives, cooking for many community kitchens, staying in many farms and seeing what it is possible in this world....I have seen many things I have loved and many things that didn't quite work in my opinion...now I have a unique opportunity to start a community based on learning, sharing and helping each other (especially those that may not normally have access to such a privileged life-style) grow and learn through workshops and communal happenings. Right now I am in the extreme beginnings. I am looking for lan...

Hello, my name is Florent, I'm 45 years old, I was a chef for about twenty years, and since 2017 I've been a spirulina producer. Spirulina is a microalga that's very rich in nutrients. It's a very environmentally friendly crop, requiring little energy and no pesticides. Spirulina needs sun and warmth to grow. The harvest season in our region runs from April to October, and it's during this period that I'm interested in hosting someone (I don't need two people at the same time, one is enough). Normally, I already have people helping me until the end of august, so I'm looking for someone from beginning of september. I mainly need someone to help me harvest the spirulina but also sometimes to help me out on the farm with various tasks, as we do everything ourselves: cleaning, labeling, packaging, general maintenance and odd jobs, and also everything else that goes along with the spirulina production: clearing brush, chopping wood, going to markets from time to time, house constructi...

Welcome to our community project in the heart of Lazio, Italy. We are a group of people committed to self-sufficient organic farming. This nonprofit project aims to grow in our local community by sharing the agroecology journey, respecting the environment, animals, and the work of those who participate. Our goal is to provide everyone with the tools to produce their own food and to discover the importance of these activities through practice. We also strive to work in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, respecting everyone's time and needs, and sharing the fruits of our labor in a convivial atmosphere. The heart of our project is an old wood-fired oven in need of renovation. We simultaneously manage three different locations with 2 hectares of ancient grain cultivation, an olive grove, a synergistic vegetable garden, a traditional vegetable garden, and a horse boarding facility. First, we'd like to renovate the bakery, which is an important meeting place for us, where we not only bake ...

Gardening and maintenance help on the foothills of stunning Mount Etna in Sicily, Italy. We have a villa in Sicily on the lower slopes of Mount Etna, just outside a small town, and divide our time between UK and Sicily and are a bilingual household. Our house is spacious, with beautiful views of Etna, the sea, and Taormina in the distance. Etna is ideal for nature lovers (spectacular landscape, donkey and horse riding, hiking, quad biking), and there are several pretty towns in eastern Sicily, vineyards, archaeological sites as well as beaches. We've welcomed guests here from around the world for many years. Our interests are the arts, travel and animal welfare. Tasks: - Garden maintenance: clearing leaves, weeds and brambles, cutting back growth, sometimes sweeping volcanic ash. To dispose of garden waste, some experience of shredding/mulching, composting and controlled burning is important. The garden is about 2000 sqm. Cordless electric hedgecutter, reciprocating saw, cordless str...

Hallo, adventurous HelpX people, Welcome to the Paddock Straw bale house '26 Currently looking for friends or couple to come for the rest of August ( stay a week minimum) to help us clear the garden, strimming, cutting willow, shifting pallets, watering, making a pond, shredding wood. South Devon is at its best at the moment and paddle boards and canals on the estuary are great way to relax after work. 4h daily. We had to build our modern steel frame and straw bale house without help x support due to restrictions from planning! We have now gained habitation and are open to share our home. We have used 1100 straw bales, 35t of clay and lime each and charred our cladding boards to create a stunning effect. We are now turning to interior finishes and furnishing, garden and eco sport systems including heating, rain water harvesting and potentially hydropower. We installed wall heating in walls and floor and mudded through and earth rammed floor. So there is a lot of knowledge here....

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

Hey you. So, I just got myself a little patch of forest in the south of Sweden. A small, slightly worn, but nevertheless very real cottage hidden about 1 km from the nearest human. I’m trying to build something like an off-grid, permaculture-ish, semi-chaotic, freedom-loving life experiment. Think less “perfect homestead” and more “figure it out as we go.” There’s always stuff happening (or needing to happen): – starting and expanding a vegetable garden – fixing and slowly restoring the old house – experimenting with water systems – chopping wood like it’s a lifestyle – random building, painting, fixing, improvising – probably failing at things and trying again If you like learning by doing, getting your hands dirty, and not knowing exactly how the day will unfold, you’ll fit right in. The “deal” is roughly 4 hours of help per day for food and a place to crash. But honestly, I’m not super rigid about it. If you’re more independent, want to cook your own food, work more/less, or just...

Hello, Earthlings! I live in Mukho, Donghae, Korea. I lived in Seoul for a long time and moved here in Mukho, I would like to introduce you to this great place. If you want to feel a small local city in Korea, not in Seoul, please apply. - You will be staying in a large room in our apartment. I stay in a small room. There are two rooms, a living room + kitchen, a bathroom + bathroom, and two verandas. Unfortunately, there is only one bathroom and toilet. We have a washing machine, a gas stove, and a microwave oven. It's on the sixth floor without an elevator. But that's why the view is very good. - You can eat together or buy it outside. I like to cook. I want to show you various 'Korean ordinary foods'. You may have to pay for a little bit of food each other. - I do music. (writing, composing, arranging, playing guitar). And I run a bar at night. That's why I'm free during the day. You can travel to many places in Donghae City together. I usually travel by my pickup truck or motor...

A room is available for your homestay. Because of the help I would like to ask, mature ladies who have enough experience/knowledge of handling house holding chores and cooking are welcome. No problem if you cannot cook Japanese dishes. Vegetarian is welcome only from summer to autumn. We can easily talk about next step of your homestay if how long from when, how you can help, what you want to do during homestay in addition to help works are written in your request. I will reply to only applicants who read my profile and understand/satisfy requirements. It's becoming difficult to afford free meals to helpers because of rapid and continuous economic inflation, especially foods under the COVID pandemic, wars and Japanese currency depreciation. From July 2026, you are asked to share cost of meals during homestay. Amount may be 30000 to 50000 Yens per month, depending on your cooking skill. I'm a 67 years old male living alone and have a small private organic vegetable garden. I am...

We would like to have some help on the farm from 15th September for doing jobs and help with the animals. We are due to calve with our 3 milking girls. Then we get another 12-18 calves to feed as well. I am looking for help for 2 weeks from September. If you are interested in the work and we are getting on well, you may be asked if you are available to stay on longer. If you don't mind working in the wet or cold outside, then I would love to hear from you. We have some general farm jobs that would be great to have a bit of help with. Some fencing, painting a barn, tidying up the vegetable garden and orchard.. If you are available and keen to help out, we would love to hear back from you. We have a small lifestyle farm with all the usual animals, cows, pigs, chickens, dogs, cats, birds, fish..... We machine milk our Jersey cows for the house milk and to feed either calves or pigs. There are just the two of us here now, sometimes we have international exchange students who go to ...

We are looking for helpers from the beginning of August and have space for five people. We have three small cabins, two with double beds and one with a single bed so room for up to five helpers. All the helpers share a kitchen and bathroom. At the moment we need help with some building work so preference will be given to people who already have some skills with tools.. We are a great place to start or end your time in New Zealand as we are only 45 minutes drive from Auckland airport. The work will be varied and interesting but usually building and garden based. It could include finishing off an underground earth bag hobbit hole. We have a passion for earth building and organic gardening.

Depending on the season, we are looking for helpers with one or more of the following skills: 1. gardening (pruning, digging, tidying up etc.) as well as wood clearing and logging; 2. affinity with cooking and making domain products (e.g. confitures, chutneys) from the fruit and walnuts we have; 3. preparing the gîtes for new guests; 4. Do-It-Yourself (painting, decorating, carpentry, etc.). In return for 6 hours of work (5 days a week with 2 days off) we offer an independent gîte to stay in (only not possible when all gîtes are rented out, but then we have a separate room for you with bathroom), use of all the facilities of the domain, l...

We live in a fun share house 🏡 in Maryborough, Marry Poppins Town, with awesome meals 🍝, fireplace 🔥 and a big edible garden 🌾🌴🌳🌿. We're Mars, the owner of the property and former owner of multiple language schools and Tracy, a former theatre/restaurant owner who's cooking the most amazing meals and looking after everyone like a mum. There're 2 adorable dogs 🐕‍🦺🐕 in the family, so you must be a dog 🦮 lover. Also 6 chicken 🐓 and 2 ducks 🦆, so we always have fresh eggs 🪺. We need help with building and creating, and with an awesome edible garden. We're about to put 12v solar power into the rooms, also natural air-conditioning and are finishing up the spa bath in the 2nd bathroom... so there's a bit for you to learn and lots of knowledge to take home. We like to work with fun 🥳, laughter 😂, music 🎶 and love to see you letting a bit of your craziness out 🤪. Be yourself and join the family... We have had many awesome experiences with travellers so far 😃. Please no...

I am...
