Looking for an all round handyman/gardener who can help me complete the renovations on my property. All major 'building works' are complete, but walls still need painting, cupboards and shelves installing etc....it's currently a blank canvas. There's a very large garden, now overgrown with weeds, and I've totally run out of inspiration. There's so much potential, so someone with an eye for design, landscaping, garden maintenance, and basic carpentry skills to build a decking area would be highly desirable. In exchange I'm offering accommodation with shower room, food and Wi-Fi, and use of a bicycle. The small town (village style), is peaceful and quiet but with a fantastic thermal baths facility, gym and olympic size indoor pool. For nature lovers, there's a buffalo reservation with a lookout on the lake for wildlife and bird watching, hiking/walking and bicycle trails.

We breed and raise dwarf goats and chickens and ducks. We are a 162 acre farm, next to the Puketi Forest near Kerikeri. We have hills, streams & ponds and are centrally located for sight seeing. Your own suite with toilet and shower, kitchenette with fridge, microwave and kettle etc. 25 mins to Kerikeri, Bay of Islands. We ask for 5 hours work a day for accommodation and food. We have good and plentiful food here, as I am a chef! Chores focus on the farm, the land, goats, projects, weeding and fence clearing. Also can include planting, landscaping and painting and work on my new pottery studio build-out, and many more, depending on your skills. Also, we have projects to get stuck into, that vary on the time of year. We can collect you from the bus stop or Kerikeri Airport. We usually have other young helpers also.. ** Note: We do Farm Stay also, that is like Air BNB for people who want to get out of the town and experience a NZ farm lifestyle. Thanks Julia

Helpers needed in April/May, lambing and orchard tasks Come and help us with self-sufficiency and homesteading, on our small family farm in the heart of Hardanger! ABOUT US We have a small flock of sheep, apple and plum orchards, a kitchen garden and some rough grazing land and woodland, where we cut our own firewood. Our primary objectives are self-sufficiency and regenerative resilience. Olav works away periodically, Rebecca studies part-time and is frequently busy with our many children. Our little farm is very close to the village of Øystese, the Hardangerfjord, surrounding mountains and the Folgefonna glacier. Bergen is a 1 hr 45 min bus ride away; Voss is about the same distance and similarly accessible. We grow our vegetables and trees, and raise our sheep organically. We want to keep our soil healthy and increase biodiversity, whilst securing our collective and family’s food supply in an uncertain future. We’d love to share this journey with motivated, helpful volunteers, ...

The helper accommodation is a double room in a 200 year old Cotswold stone house located in a small village near Stroud. There’s woodland above and it’s in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty backing on to the Toadsmoor valley. The house is 35 mins walk from Stroud town centre. There are a few shops in the village as well as a pub nearby. The house is surrounded with the hills and countryside on your doorstep and lovely views. From the garden...great for forest walks and exploring the Cotswolds. English, Spanish and French is spoken. I have my child with me half the week.. We aim to work an average of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week in an awake household. The work is varied but currently there are raised beds to make for growing vegetables, a chicken run to make, chickens to feed and care for, gardening, cooking, cleaning , or generally helping with whatever task is being done at the time, though no need of experience as I'm happy to teach techniques. Anyone with motivation ...

It`s been over 10 years now that we are participating in programs like this. We never get tired of new people staying and having strangers turning into friends. Also our neighbors and others in the village enjoy the exchange. They are always up for a small talk, which is great for you to practice your German! About us: We have organic breed Wagyu Beef (the most expensive meat in the world). There are 3 Horses, a Pig, Chicken, Dogs and a bunch of Cats that are also part of the Farm. We also grow all sort of crops. Either to feed our animals or to sell them. We also grow apples, plums, pears, potatoes and many other things that grow in a garden. There is never a time during summer where u can not just go outside and eat something straight from where it grows.. Ruesselhausen is a small village. Just perfect to be in the nature. There are bikes for you to use so you can discover the surrounding nature. It would be good if you speak a little German because not all of us speak English. We...

We live in a fun share house in Maryborough, Marry Poppins Town, with awesome meals and a big edible garden. We're Mars, the owner of the property and Tracy, a former theatre/restaurant owner who's cooking the most awesome meals and looking after everyone like a mum. There're 2 adorable dogs in the family, so you must be a dog lover. Also 6 chicken, so we always have fresh eggs. We need help with building and creating, and with an awesome but overgrown edible garden. We're about to get ducks in addition, we're about to put 12v solar power into the rooms, also natural air-conditioning and are finishing up the spa bath in the 2nd bathroom... so there's a bit for you to learn and lots of knowledge to take home. We like to work with fun and laughter and love to see you letting a bit of your craziness out. Be yourself and join the family... We have had awesome experiences with travellers so far 😃. Please note that there's a minimum of 1 week stay, we do not like to be used as a pit...

🌿 Help Wanted: Gardening & Good Times in a Mountain Paradise Hello dear friends! Would you or a couple like to spend time in a beautiful, nature-protected area starting mid Mai! We're looking for helping hands to bring the garden back into shape, start growing vegetables, and simply enjoy a wonderful time in the mountains. The gardening season is changing from winter to spring and summer, and there's so much to do, prepare, and enjoy before autumn and winter arrive. 🐱 About the place Our lovely old farmhouse (over 200 years old!) is located in a nature-protected area in the canton of St. Gallen, about 900m above sea level.
It comes with two adorable cats: Mosquito and Findusina (adopted, she's the happy, smiley one and very talky). The altitude gives us a nice breeze in summer – you stay cool while the valleys get hot.
The house is open to all backgrounds and cultures. I personally love contributing to a global community of vegan/vegetarian and conservation awareness – sharing know...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. Please note, we cannot host anyone with any pre existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions). We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our doorstep, hiking trails through the mountains and forests, cycling paths, and skiing in the...

We are offering travelers a warm, comfortable two-story Celery Top Pine Pole home we built ourself. You will enjoy magical views of the ocean and mountain and will wake to the sounds of the wild birds that flock to our food and water bowls. We are regularly visited by possums, wallaby's and various other wildlife. If you're lucky you may even see a Tasmanian Devil. We aspire to a sustainable way of living and adore our large established organic garden, which we are needing help with maintaining. We ask helpers to provide a minimum of 4.5 hrs of work each day for 5 days with two full days off. If you would like a day off after working a few days we ask you to make up the hours on other days. Some helpers also purchase their own food and only work 2.5 hours a day if this suits you better. We are also very flexible and happy to listen to your requests. Previous gardening experience is essential as well as cooking/helping with evening meals, household duties, and other jobs as required...

Hello, I’m David! I have sold my coffee shop after 45 years in the hospitality trade, where travelling workers would once work, however I STILL offer helpers the same excellent own room lodging as homestay & great food in exchange for a little light work and some social contact. I live close the train station and bus stop and am a 30 min trip by train to Melbourne City. There is a vehicle to drive locally if are appropriately licensed. You are welcome to use it. I go to the outback in western New South Wales about 3 times a year for the purpose of experiencing the beautiful "timeless land" of Australia and to legally hunt feral animals which endanger our wildlife. I often take workers to the outback so they can have a taste of the real Australia and I can assure that none of the numerous helpers/woofers I have taken over a many year period did not thoroughly enjoy it. . However the choice is theirs whether they accompany myself or whether they stay and "mind the house" I also oft...

Hello, We are Jen and David and our tropical home and garden needs some work, we have had a few years without helpx. We live walking distance to the beach and nature reserve in a quiet suburb. We are currently looking for a couple with practical experience. It usually works for us that your stay is around 7 - 10 days but this depends on the helper and how it goes for everyone and any advance bookings we may have. Currently needing help with cleaning, gardening, maintenance and painting. Let us know if you have anything else to offer, as we may be able to use your skills. Mealtimes, sharing the day's news, and hearing your travel and life stories are highlights of our Helpx experience. We would like you to also help cook the evening meal, we all take that in turns. We have a well-provisioned kitchen. My parents live next door and often join us for a meal. We may also ask you to help at my parents' house. You must like dogs as we have 2 dogs and three chickens. Our home is within walking...

Hey, hello you ! We are Caro and Chris, Zion and Kiara. We were travelling around the world since a gorgeous time until all this virus craziness happened. Caro, then Chris & Caro were backpacking, doing hitchhiking, etc... The beautiful wildlife. Then kids arrived in 2017 and 2019 so we mainly stayed travelling in Europe by van until they will be able to carry a little backpack ;) When the virus arrived, we were crossing Sweden. Everything became complicated with borders, shops and people so we decided to enjoy the strange time to build our home. We bought an over 300 years old stone house on a big peace of land which were abandoned and this new adventure started. Bretagne is a nice place full of culture, traditions, nice villages, forest and legends and history, and surrounded by the sea. After being helpers ourselves, we now want to be hosts too. We loved it so we expect people love it here too. Our kids are homeschooling with mainly their mother and we would be happy to have Eng...

Hello. We are a small Llamas farm, located in the Pyrenees mountains. If you are looking for an original French experience, it could be the right place for you! Here in the high Pyrenees, near the Andorra & Spanish border, we offer you the possibility to live and work in a calm and isolated place, surrounded by high mountains and nothing but pure nature, and good meals "à la française" after our activities among our lamas (about 15 of them). We are a retired French couple, but we used to work and live in foreign countries and continents, which made us interested in people and cultures from all over the world. In the surroundings, there are beautiful places that we would be happy to make you discover, and if you want, we can trek together with Llamas... For your own, you get an entire and cosy apartment (2 bedrooms, 1 or 2 people, single or couple), and join us for generous meals, mostly with local products, that we like to share and appreciate together (so, no vegetarian requir...

I need some help to renovate an old cottage (build in 1880): painting walls and ceilings; working with roof pans and mortar (from inside), help in the garden. Other families in my little village (100 persons) will ask also for help by you. I offer of course accomodation and food - but I am a lousy cook!!. Inside the house is still something like a construction site, so accomodation is a little bit primitiv.

We have a vineyard, olive trees and vacation houses near Tropea in Calabria. We need a couple to help us for some week from september to june for vintage, olive harvest, gardening, general maintenance and internet announcements. In autumn, winter and spring we have a lot to do in the vineyard, with the olive trees, the house and garden. Accommodation in a full equipped chalet offered. It is better to COME WITH CAR or rent it here. We expect you to work 2 and half hours a day (16-20) hours a week. You should buy and cook your food. We are a Portuguese couple with experience on permaculture and self-sufficient-living that in 2015 got 15ha of abundant land in a beautiful valley and an amazing community at the highest mountains inside the biggest natural park of our country. Rita is a health-food enthusiast and loves to work with different kinds of art-craft. She likes to explore Medicinal plants, Food preservation and fermentation, Hygiene products and teaching Forest School. Walking in the nature, singing with friends and doing yoga are some of the other things she enjoys. Gonçalo is a nature lover with a passion for Permaculture and Natural Farming. Studied Organic Agronomy and has been practicing it since 2008, with the help of volunteers, interns and apprentices. He enjoys sharing and to make music with friends. Unfortunately in 2017 a massive fire went over this beautiful valley but our yurts didnt burn and all the animals survived, in the same year we were blessed with our first home-birth daughter Dana....

There are a variety of chores, I work in the sugar mill but also have a lot of work around my house and sheds. We’re renting a granny flat, and some times there is some cleaning work to be done.

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON Need help.with a garden clean up.at the moment. You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one rough headed ,skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town, which is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay.

Hello! We are a Spanish-German couple, about 50 years old carrying a youth hostel in a small village near the Pyrenees. We open in April until October, having sport and music-camps, theater groups and hikers (only close groups). We need help in the kitchen, setting tables and cleaning rooms. The extent would be about 3-4 hours every day in return to food and accommodation . The small village (Graus) offers lots of possibilities.: hike, rafting, canoeing, climbing, swimming in lakes and natural rivers and also cultural events like concerts, theater, monuments, old churches, etc... its optimal if you want to learn or practice Spanish. we also speak English and German. The minimum stay should be two weeks. Looking for experienced volunteers. We only write back to volunteers who have a complete profile preferably with reviews. Please note we cook Spanish food mostly also with meat, always there is some veggies and salad apart. We have 2-3 Rooms available for Helpers, depending of th...

Hello from the beautiful Dandenong Ranges! I am a self-employed ARTIST in a very colourful home. I have 1 dog, 5 goats and 3 lovely human housemates. EXPECTATIONS Enthusiastic, trustworthy English-speaking helpers who enjoy a laugh, are practical and can work INDEPENDENTLY. There are several varied DIY projects on the go. Most of the work is outside, you need to be physically fit and prepared for manual labour. I look forward to hearing from travellers who can help with limited instructions, unsupervised and have a passion for gardening, fence repair, building and DIY projects. Do you know how to use a drill, a drop saw, a sander and an angle grinder? Garden maintenance duties include but not limited to: use a whipper snipper to tidy garden edges; rake leaves; hand weed, digging, collecting fallen branches and sticks off the ground. Gather fire wood, cut and stack. Help burn garden waste. Plant new or potted plants, spread mulch on garden beds. Helping around the house and other od...
