I live in an old farm and farmhouse in Normandy. I have converted a cottage into a holiday cottage with 4 bedrooms (all en suite) and one barn into another. With the guest-accommodation, farm and further buildings to be converted, I could always do with an extra pair of hands. Skills can range from building, painting, cleaning, farming and general maintenance. Someone with a sense of humour would be great. We run a three bedroom accomodation located in the beautiful historic area of Kerikeri just up from the Stone Store. We are looking for preferably a single person (ranking as mature) interested in staying at the lodge and taking care of the general running of things (around 2-4 hours per day , negotiable) This is very relaxed and mostly entails greeting guests in the afternoons and showing them to their rooms (only when we have bookings), cleaning rooms if the cleaner is away, taking bookings as well as some general property maintenance. You will stay in a separate part of the lodge with full kitchen, private room and bathroom. I am generally around the lodge most days but leave in the evenings as I live with my partner out of Kerikeri. So we work as a team. This means you will likely be taking care of yourself in the evenings, so being able to cook is important. (Potentially not as social at it has been in the past when my son and his partner were living there full time) . We inc...

I live in Ennis, a lovely town that is the gateway to the scenic, nature-filled mid-west of Ireland. Ennis is the capital town of the region and lies approximately midway, an easy journey, between the cities of Limerick and Galway. The town's population is about 25,000 people. We are 30 minutes drive from the ocean and from so many beaches that are long and sandy. All nearby are the world-famous cliffs of Moher, the Burren, and the secret, much-less-known west of Clare which has some of the best scenery in the world, with the wild Atlantic Way, a hiker's, nature-lover's and photographer's dream. Where I live is 15-20 minutes walk to the centre of town. 9 years ago I got a lovely puppy. His name is Luca. Now he's quite mature and when I got him I started with having guests stay as a means of having someone to look after him when I'm at work. It's been a really good experience. I have used mostly workaway and have 30 reviews there so do check me out. You're probably wondering what yo...

Welcome to Paradise! Do you want an authentic Amazon Jungle experience? OUR FARM- The farm is 400m high in the foothills of the Andes Mountains in the Amazon Rainforest, surrounded by wild jungle & other village farms. We are far away from the city and enjoy fresh air, natural spring water and quiet tranquility. A great place for star gazing! There are many rare birds, butterflies and wild animals in the surrounding jungle. We practice organic farming. Pick your own fresh fruits. We have a tree nursery and reforestation project, some (stingless) bees, chickens, dogs and cats. We produce coconut oil (not every week) and many natural products like soap here. We make woven products from platano trees, ceramics plates, cups, and bowls etc, as well as teach English to children at a native community nearby. We have been here for more than 10 years. In that time natural healing methods have always been important to us. We have met many natural healers, and have discovered a way of eating ...

A beach front section. Kayaking, body boarding, swimming and fishing available for guests. Accomodation and meals provided in exchange for four hours work a day. Gardening, housework, general household maintenance and painting could be requested. I can collect people from the end of the Taupo Bay road or Mangonui. My preference is for people to stay a week . Taupo Bay is quite a small community and no public transport is available so it is often easier to have your own transport. Certainly not essential as arrangements can be made for collection and support to get to your next destination. Many thanks for looking. Fran

My mother and I live in a farmhouse at the edge of a forest, surrounded by fields.. We have horses, dogs, mini pigs, sheep, chicken, ducks and cats. For my guests I offer a pretty guest room with a double bed, a bed for a little child until 5, and a desk. If you would prefer to stay in your own camper this is possible, too. I work as a teacher in a school nearby and as a Coach for families. My mother and I are vegetarians and like cooking fresh food everyday. We grow vegetables and fruit in our garden and of course eat the eggs of our chicken. We both speak english fluently. I do need help in general maintenance around the house and every now and than someone who takes care for the "big" animals, because i would love to visit my daughter and her family in Berlin. In our area you can go for lovely walks, go swimming in the lake nearby of go scubadiving in a chalk lake in the neighbour village. Hello, my partner John & I, have had a wonderful time sharing our home with volunteers. We now have a vacancy for mid December/january/february, for a volunteer to join us. We live as a family & enjoy many things together, with our volunteers, many of whom have become lasting friends. We live in a 4 bed modern dormer bungalow, in a beautiful village, with a shop & bus stop 3 minutes walk from the house. We live with my father, who is 88 years old and has mild to moderate memory loss. My father has Carer’s visiting 3 times a day, to help him shower & take him out for a drive. My father loves extra company from volunteers, so that he doesn’t feel lonely, but they don’t need to provide care, as we do that, but he does like to have someone there, to watch television with him. even if they are working on a laptop, so that he’s not alone. I also need help with running the house & cooking. We have a friendly and well-mannered old lady dog, Labrador cross springer, called Teal, she lo...

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. Our farm is up for sale, so work is lighter, mostly weeding, cleaning, and property tidy-ups. Usually, it’s just you, us, and the animals, so it’s a relaxed, family-style experience. We typically start at 8am or by arrangement and ask for about 4 hrs of help per day You’ll stay in your own private air-conditioned container accommodation next to our home, share meals, enjoy the spa pool, BBQ area, and explore with our e-bikes. A vehicle is recommended as there’s no public transport, Richmond (shops, cafes) is 5 mins away, Nelson 20 mins. We love positive, proactive people, good cooks, and anyone who enjoys sharing food, music, and stories. Check out our reviews below.

Gardening, housework, general household maintenance and painting could be requested. I can collect people from the end of the Taupo Bay road or Mangonui. My preference is for people to stay a week . We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. Please note, we cannot host anyone with any pre existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions). We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our doorstep, hiking trails through the mountains and forests, cycling paths, and skiing in the...
