We built this house 22 years ago on a piece of family land so a lot of love has gone into the property. Our three kids have grown up and away and so we do have lots of room and would love this opportunity to have travelers enjoy this big house and large property (and have some help with some of the maintenance 😀). We can host 1 or 2 people to help with gardening, cleaning and general maintenance for 4 hours a day in exchange for lovely accommodation in your own separate area of our house. This unique place has a style all its own. We know you will love our adorable Pauatahanui Village and community and the wider Paremata/Kapiti area. We live adjacent to a bird reserve with a gorgeous coastal walkway - yet the cafe, Lighthouse boutique cinemas and Lavendar Room Spa/beauty salon are all within a minute's walk! We hope you will come visit here and enjoy Wellington's best kept secret! We are close to bus route/train or hop on the Transmission Gully and just 15 minute drive to Wellingt...

We are set on 11 acres of beautiful land with wonderful views over the waters of the Manukau Harbour and with direct access to an expansive beach reserve. At the heart of the light filled house is a meditation room filled with musical instruments and opening onto an expansive lawn which is the setting for outdoor living and communal gatherings. These include occasional house concerts, seasonal celebrations and co creative musical sessions where we can experience our spiritual interconnectedness with Nature and one another. Help is needed in the house and on the land with tasks that include maintaining gardens and fruit trees, cutting grass, clearing weeds, making compost and cutting wood. I welcome people who love Nature and who can work with focus and commitment. In exchange for 24 hours work a week I offer a comfortable room , delicious and wholesome vegetarian meals, access to beaches and bush walks and the possibility that new doors will open for you.

We live in a river valley just outside Palmerston North, in the Manawatu area, and we are about 15km from town. We have a large family home on a small 'lifestyle' farm with sheep, cows, horses, chickens, ducks, dogs, & cat. There is a lovely swimming hole in the river just below the house, and we make our own power. We are off-grid. Our extended family & friends live near by. There are almost always farming, fencing, building, home made power, gardening, weeding & tree planting activities to be done. We are also currently finishing painting our house. We love talking to you and trying your cooking, and Sue loves to paint & draw & make music with you - Ralph goes for morning walks & we also enjoy playing games & have some great movies:-)

Update, possible accommodation available for kiwifruit staff. My caravan is available, not fancy but clean & waterproof. I'm a beekeeper in need of assistance, either with the bees directly or not. I'm located 16km South of Te Puke on a property that has a back boundary of native forest. I'm usually able to host people at any time of year, but am busiest in the spring. I currently have building projects happening, as well as lots of painting, waxing new bee frames, and also hands on beekeeping for anyone who is keen. I also keep sheep and cattle on the property here, and hunt deer and pigs in the forest. These grass and forest fed animals form a large part of the menu here, so vegetarians probably won`t be happy with the diet. I cater to lots of herbivores and they all have hooves or paws. The accommodation is a spare room in the house. The house is a late 1800s villa in need of replacement, but it keeps the weather out and I find it comfortable. Housework isn't high on my priority ...

We have an automotive country workshop where we fix and service cars, 4WDs, trailers, tractors and all sorts of machinery. In our spare time we look after our little farm, some sheep, some cattle and rabbits. We also have a forest where we work and tidy up occasionally. So we are always in need of a couple of helpful hands to support us. We love to get to know different cultures and people. We grow our own meat, fruit and vegetables. Gustav also brews his own beer and makes wine and cider and lately also green tea. A mature, non-smoking, self-organized person, preferable not a vegetarian, to give us a hand with house and land, would fit best into our lifestyle. You will have to join into our daily routines: breakfast is at around 7am and then we feed all the animals, especially the hungry dogs and work starts at 8am. We need to get everyone organized before customers arrive in the workshop. We expect about 4 hours work per day and we offer a nice room with a lovely warm bed, gr...

Hi. I used to use helpx as a helper during my working holiday in Australia back in 2017. I have so many good memories and also some awkward moments during my stay but overall it's a precious memory to me. And now back in Korea, I was thinking why not try hosting this time? Some details about my house - located near Seogwipo Kal Hotel, jeju island (pls google the location) - low-rise residential building with three rooms. - you can use private room (no bed only futon sets) and common areas and facilities. - one bus stop nearby, but you might need to walk 20min to catch buses that go to popular tourist spots. - My girlfriend and her 2 dogs, and 1 cat occasionally stays here. In exchange, I might ask you to help me with these. - 2-3hrs of household chores (cleaning, dog-sitting maybe and etc) - or some weeding - or just chilling in general :) I wish to host 1-2 helpers who are - open to different cultures/ food - LGBTQ friendly - respectful of each other's boundaries - staying less...

We hope you can join us. Currently looking for keen and energetic people who can join us in making our piece of Paradise even better while you have a memorable lifetime experience that will enrich your life. We love sharing who we are and what we have to inspire others to thrive on the land while working with and amongst nature. We want to show you how to be comfortable in nature; to re-learn how to be a part of nature rather than apart from nature. We have two rooms exclusively for HelpX guests; one room with a double bed, the other with a bunk bed. You have your own bathroom and toilet. We also have our delightful Avan; a compact caravan that has a double bed and a single bed for those who want to live more out amongst nature. We have a range of projects on offer, depending upon our needs at the time and your enthusiasm, skill set, interests and desire to learn new things. Some of the options include building our bushfire resilience and working on maintaining and invigorating ou...

We are a mature aged couple working from home and are looking to find an enthusiastic couple, or single person, who can help with general garden maintenance , eg weeding, spraying blackberries and wood splitting etc. In return, we are offering a private room and own bathroom ( see in photos below) in our lovely home. Accomodation and all meals are provided. ( free wi-fi is also available). We are in a quiet and secluded bush setting, and often have kangaroos and wallabies feeding on our property, but still only 3km from the main highway and station. (Melb CBD is 1 hour via train.) It is essential that you are a dog lover! (We have 2) Our 2 Whippets are quite old now, but very friendly and lazy! This would be an excellent opportunity for anyone requiring 2 weeks of accommodation, possibly longer, to share our easy going family life style. We are DEFINITELY a NON SMOKING household, and would prefer not to cater for vegetarians only. The work involves weeding, moving mulch, splitting...

** CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR HELP** Hi, welcome to NZ, and hopefully to Kōpuaranga, Masterton! Our home out of site of other houses, so a rural experience, views and usually a great night sky are guaranteed - yet still only a ten minute drive to our service town of Masterton which has rail links to Wellington. An easy pick up or drop off if you do not have your own vehicle. We are located just a 1.5 hour drive north of Wellington off State Highway 2. Masterton is central to a lot of walks, mountains rivers and coastline and some beach/ surf communities too. We have a river boundary with trout and eels, and it is great for a speedy dip on the hot days before the nature gets too curious! We have now been on this property for 18 months, so much has been achieved with HelpX travel friends, but we are only half way through... Outside we are building bird rearing pens, raising chickens and sheep, and further developing our produce and ornamental gardens. Inside we are wallpaper stripping...

This is a Standardbred Race Horse (Harness Racing) farm at the foot of Tamborine Mountain. Located 45 minutes from Brisbane in the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland. The closest train station is Beenleigh. Your own car is a plus. We welcome working holiday visa holders with good horse experience and most importantly a passion for horses !! In order to learn your daily task, routine and horses personalities, we will ask you to stay a minimum of 3 weeks. Long stays are really welcome. We are looking for someone to help us around the home, garden and farm. Ideally with horse experience but not essential, you will be checking livestock, feeding horses, pigs and general farm duties. I am also a naturopath and nutritionist so food is a big part of our lives, we eat essentially a paleo type diet. We are also eager to create a large organic vegetable garden and have other dreams for our farm and we need some help bringing them to life! We are a family owned and run an organic farm with around 1000 acres of land. Our farm is run regeneratively, with cattle, pigs and a few sheep and horses. We have hosted many people from overseas, have done a lot of travelling ourselves and love meeting new people. You will stay with us and be like part of our family. Both our girls are currently living overseas at the moment so just my husband and I (and our many pets!). We are around 4 hours from Sydney and 2 hours from Canberra in the beautiful Young and Hilltops region. Our clos...

Kia ora guys, We live in a small west coast beach village about 35-40 minutes from central Auckland called Muriwai Beach. It is one of NZ`s most stunning and wildest beaches. We have a half acre section that always needs little things doing and the house is slowly being worked on as well so experience in building or skilled labour is always cool as well as people who like to work in the gardens and landscape. We have a daughter who is 11 years old who loves playing in the outdoors, tending her veggie garden and meeting people from all over the world. If you like the beach and the wild west coast then I`m sure you will love it out here. I work in the television and film industry while my partner is a a musician. Drop us a line and tell us a bit about yourself and maybe you can come out and share some of the magic that we feel living here. Cheers. Toby, Moana and Manawanui.

We are a family of five living on a peaceful 5-acre permaculture-minded farm on the beautiful Far South Coast of New South Wales, Australia. Our family includes three young children — a curious 8-year-old boy, a creative 6-year-old girl, and our happy, busy 2years boy. We speak both French and English at home and enjoy sharing a simple, connected lifestyle close to nature. Our small farm is home to sheep, chickens, 4 cows, a large orchard, veggie gardens, and an abundance of seasonal fruit. Our energy comes from the sun and our water comes from the land. We love welcoming people who have an interest in nature, simple living, gardening, permaculture, farm animals, good conversations, and sharing daily life together. Families with children are especially welcome, particularly if your kids are around a similar age to ours. There are always meaningful and enjoyable projects happening around the farm depending on the season and your interests. At the moment, we would especially apprecia...

We have space for helpers now at our homely hostel in Nelson and we'd love to hear from you. Cleaning work is around up to 2 hours a day with one day off a week to explore our beautiful region. We say minimum stay is 3 weeks but most stay a lot longer (sometimes many months) and now you get to keep a cool TBB Team T-shirt when you do!). Offering comfortable accommodation in a natural environment in exchange for general help with mainly outdoor projects - tell us your skills and interests and we'll probably have a project to match! Looking for help year round, happy to offer one to two weeks at a time with longer stays possible after we've got to know each other a little. Your own vehicle is essential as we do not have any public transport routes available. Us: We are a relaxed couple who enjoy the quiet life. Al is retired and spends most days doing odd jobs around the property and tackling larger projects from time to time. Vicki works 3 days/week from home, when she's away from her desk you'll most likely find her in the veggie garden or the kitchen. We enjoy lots of "homesteading" activities including breadmaking and preserving, herbal medicine, soap making and general crafts. Al is trying to learn the didgeridoo and hoping to have more time for painting and drawing and Vicki enjoys curling up with a good ...

Hi, and welcome to NZ. Looking for 1 female who likes the outdoors & animals, is confident around horses & cattle & also likes to help around the house and garden. Dates available from mid July for a minimum of two weeks, & if we are a good match & you enjoy it here, then we are happy to host long term. We own a small farm south of Ashburton, or just over an hour south of Christchurch. We have a mixture of friendly animals, including sheep, 3 goats, cattle, free range hens and horses. And some weed control in the paddocks or around our tree plantings. Maybe some gardening. Helping with firewood. And feeding the guinea pigs! This is for those of you who plan ahead. We are full until mid July, right at the start of our best fishing season and in the middle of our best weather when at least some of the time we should be cutting great timber from unwanted trees using a 26 inch/56cm bandsaw. So anyone who loves fishing, snorkelling on inshore reefs and is good at DIY or carpentry and loves the simple, quiet, rural life by the beach, next to the rainforest, this is for you 🤗. We appreciate help with DIY construction, repairs and maintenance, timber work, boat work, metal work repairs to trailers and for help with gardening, housekeeing, cooking, duck and chicken rearing and dog walking on the beach. Fishing, snorkelling, and rainforest walks can help occupy your spare time. We are looking for reasonably good DIY handymen and women, capable of working effectively, when necessary, on your own or as a pair and, ideally, someone who also has some gardening experience, but that is not really necessary, learn o...

We are near the Shoalwater Marine Park and Penguin Island 40mins from Perth city centre. Very close to public transport, cafes and library. Ideal for beach walking, diving, swimming, cycling, fishing, sailing and windsurfing (beach is 60 metres away). Accommodation would take form of a fully insulated cute tiny garden room with access to undercover cooking area and bathroom. IT is small so please See photos. On week days we are usually working it Perth so we cant provide meals, but a well-stocked supermarket is 200 metres away. We average 2/3 hours a day painting, plumbing gardening and other repairs and can negotiate best time to do that, for example maybe it’s more convenient to do two longer days during the week. When you email please let us know when you plan to get to Perth and how you are travelling (flying in, driving or bus etc.). If you are already in Perth, where you are staying and how long you would like stay. We can send you more details when you enquire, including advi...

Jobs include helping with feeding animals, & generally helping with some paddock & farm maintenance, like collecting horse manure with our large Greystone Paddock Vacuum (too easy!) And some weed control in the paddocks or around our tree plantings. Maybe some gardening. Helping with firewood. And feeding the guinea pigs! Did I mention we have a lovely herd of around a dozen gorgeous free range guinea pigs? They are super cute & get quite talkative when waiting for someone to bring cut up a...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. PLEASE NOTE WELL: we absolutely cannot host anyone with any pre-existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions), such as hay fever, any other allergies, sensitivities or intolerances. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our do...

We are situated 9km from the beautiful town of Taupo and 9km from Kinloch beach. We have a large plant nursery where we grow both native and exotic plants. We also have large gardens. Accommodation will be either in a separate self contained apartment in the garden or a cute caravan with double bed. Breakfast and lunch are casual and then we have an evening meal together. I am in need of some help anytime from the 24th June in the garden and nursery. Bagging trees mainly and moving them. We are 9km from town so it's better for you if you have your own wheels. .
