INTRODUCTION This is NOT a hostel, but a personal project aimed to become an educational & cultural spot in the neighborhood. It means, you will NOT work following a set of rules to make profits for a bussiness, but to participate with ideas/creativity/emotions/action to develop a social-aimed venture. Please, before introducing yourself, which is very nice, ask me if the days you apply are available to welcome you. Applications are accepted in order of arrival and mutual agreement :) BASIC BENEFITS - Wide garden, bedroom, living room, little kitchen. They all are simple. Any area is shared. - Breakfast will be provided by the host the work days. However, the lunch and dinner can be cooked in the kitchen by the guest/volunteer/friend. I am flexible to talk about these and other clauses. - You handle to organize your work hours/days. ADDITIONAL BENEFITS - Welcome cocktail or typical Peruvian meal. - Detailed advice on transport or interesting spots in the area or the country (I've...

We are currently looking for a helpxer from around 10th August (could be a little earlier) to 18th September (could be a little later) or possibly longer term after that. Please do not contact us unless you can stay from at least 10th August to 18th September. Often volunteers love Ollantaytambo and Apu Lodge and stay for much longer! You must speak Spanish and English fluently although couples where only one is fluent have worked with us previously. Our community provides an alternative way of living with permaculture gardens, farm animals, sustainability projects, and arts and cultural workshops. It is a great place to come to meet other like-minded people if you are passionate about sustainability and alternative living. We hold community meetings throughout the week alongside activities and workshops, such as quiz nights, dance nights and yoga classes. We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. PLEASE NOTE WELL: we absolutely cannot host anyone with any pre-existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions), such as hay fever, any other allergies, sensitivities or intolerances. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. We are Michael and Esther and live in a villa in Swedish Lapland, surrounded by lakes, forests and endless nature. We are looking for one person or a couple to help us around our property during the summer season. The main tasks are cleaning and preparing guest rooms and common areas, helping to keep the property tidy and welcoming, gardening, outdoor maintenance and occasional DIY projects. We offer a private apartment with kitchen, bathroom and WiFi. In your free time you can enjoy hiking, fishing, kayaking, SUP, cycling, sauna and the beautiful nature around us. We are especially looking for reliable, motivated and independent people who take pride in doing a good job. Usually the help is around 25 hours per week. Having your own car or campervan is an advantage as public transport is very limited in our area. We speak German, English and Swedish and enjoy meeting people from different countries and cultures.

Hi there, I'm a 32 year old male renovating a house in a gorgeous location in south east Cornwall approx. a mile from a gorgeous strip of untouched national trust coastline. I'm looking for someone (preferably a semi-skilled tradesperson) to assist me in renovation and building work in exchange for food and accommodation in this beautiful area. I'm initially looking for someone for some weeks over the summer who wishes to explore Cornwall and enjoy the summer down here but I can potentially offer paid work for anyone wanting to stay longer. I'm a keen spearfisherman so happy to show you that and preferably you like fish that I catch regularly (bass, scallops, lobster to name a few). I also have a boat and fully kitted out woodworking shop. The location is very rural but has good links by ferry to the larger town of Fowey. A motorbike or e-bike would be a good way to get around as it is quite hilly! There is a great local community of events and a large number of young people in the ar...

**HOUSE AND ANIMAL SITTER NEEDED ASAP UNTIL 1ST AUGUST.** Hello, thank you for looking at our listing. After a little break from hosting we're looking for helpers for April - October 2026. We are Cathy (47) and Leo (who is 14 years old.) We live in a lovely, but messy little cottage in a very beautiful glen. We are semi-off-grid and at the moment there's several issues with the plumbing so please do not apply if you need a daily hot shower! We like to have several helpers so friends are welcome to apply, alternatively we are happy to take single travellers - but please be aware you may need to share a sleeping area with other helpers (who we will ensure are the same sex and similar age to you.) The accommodation is extremely basic, the house is in disarray and I currently resemble a headless chicken for much of the day! Only apply if you are comfortable with untidiness and disorder. However, despite this you will have fun, be well fed and happy. The gardens and surrounding count...

Permaculture project with idea and space to create an eco-village. The quinta is located in Alto Alentejo 2km from Portalegre. 15 hectares with magical forests and a beautiful valley provided by seventeen sources and several mines with healthy water where too people live permanently for the moment,Isabel, a communication manager and Michel, a carpenter who is the founder of the project. There is also one dog, five cats, for chickens and six sheep. The project is now in the phase when it’s open so that more people can live here. Because parts of the ruins are ready for occupancy, there is space for people who want to stay longer, which can bring new and stronger dynamics throughout the year, not like before, when there was only a lot going on in the summer months. So far there is already a beautiful gardens going on and numerous species of plants, shrubs and trees which deliver us plenty of food. We are happy when someone shows enthusiasm for the garden because this is a central part...

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

After an intense house renovation, we are now entering the final phase, focusing on cleaning and refreshing the house. From APRIL (for about one month), we are looking for help with PAINTING work inside and outside, as well as some light gardening tasks such as weeding. This period is ideal for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and likes to see visible results at the end of the day. From JUNE onwards, as the weather becomes warmer, the help will mainly consist of daily HOUSEKEEPING tasks (cleaning, ironing), with occasionally some light gardening. We’ve found that this experience works best for people who enjoy staying active and contributing in a practical way to daily life. We truly appreciate volunteers who bring positive energy, a hands-on mindset, and a genuine willingness to help. We are a Belgian family who has been living in France for over 20 years. In our late fifties, we speak French, Dutch, English, and a bit of Spanish. Our home is located in the beautiful r...

We're Manon, Alessandro and Brioche (I'm a dog) a little young family passionate about nature, travelling, independence, regenerative practices, agriculture, farming, gardening, trekking and life. After almost 10 years of working and travelling overseas we felt the the needs to set roots and to transform our dream in to a reality. We bought an old farm stable in ruins (dry stone building) inside a very small village and a few hectares of old chestnuts forest next to it. On one side we want to restore the old building using eco techniques, as much as we can, to transform it in to our house and on the other side we are developing a syntropic garden, a little orchard based on agroforestry systems principles that will also be applied to some parts of the chestnuts forest. We're located in South Ardèche, near the town of Joyeuse. The place is famous for its rivers, canyons and forests with plenty of hiking and biking trails, bathing spots, canyoning, rafting, climbing spots, old small vil...

Welcome to our family-run permaculture farm in the countryside of Bilecik, Türkiye. My name is Selçuk. I started this farm in 2008 after leaving my white-collar career to build a life closer to soil, animals, food, and nature. Today I live here with my wife, Julia, and together we share our daily life and farm activities with guests from different cultures. I have studied Culinary Arts, Agricultural Technologies, and Medicinal and Aromatic Plants. I also hold a Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC) and have training in holistic management. My main interests are animal systems, fermentation, food transformation, and practical permaculture. Real Rural Life Life here is simple and genuinely rural. We do not offer luxury or hotel-style comfort. You will experience the realities of countryside life: animals, soil, mud, changing weather, quiet nights, and days shaped by nature. Guests stay in a simple guest space on the farm. We provide three meals a day and usually eat together. Food ...

We have an old house in which adult family live in 2 semi separate apartments and a cabin, where we also offer a space for writers to retreat and work. We are 3 miles outside Westport town in the West of Ireland. We are in the countryside but Westport is a vibrant town for arts crafts music and adventure sports. I am looking for help 1. To clear old growth away in the rambling gardens. Our house and garden are over 150 years old. For a number of reasons I'm not really able to do the heavy gardening work I love but would still love a garden! There are many digging and clearing jobs to be done. 2. Small jobs inside and outside the house are always asking to be done. 3. My son lives in the quarters adjoining me. He s an adult with Down Syndrome and an artist card maker, who is also practising to host guests in the house & at his garden cafebar. an extremely independent & capable young man. Some cooking & companionship time with him could form part of the work. 4. If a person/c...

Welcome to this very special place by the beach along the East Coast in Tasmania. We live on just over 4 acres of land and are starting to create a garden and plant more native trees on the land. We are also building a labyrinth. Tasks on the land include gardening, wood stacking, tree planting and helping with the creation on our labyrinth. We especially welcome people with an interest in community living. We are part of an online community, see my website link below, which includes a vision of lived community with values of nonviolence and liberation for all. I am also a facilitator of the Work that Reconnects, see website link below. If you have an interest in exploring how we can live on the earth more lightly and in a regenerative way, this is the place to come and explore and have those conversations. We are just starting on this journey on this land and are experimenting in what supports choice, togetherness and flow as an antidote to scarcity, separation and powerlessnes...

Hello to you, travelers and curious souls 🌿 We are a small family full of energy and projects: Fabrice, Marion, and little Lucas (20 months old). We live in an old Bresse farmhouse in the Ain department, near the Jura mountains, surrounded by fields, forests, and lakes (the nearest are just 15 minutes away). The farm is located in a quiet, private setting, in the heart of 3.5 hectares of land. It's a place conducive to nature, creativity, and encounters. We are improving this farm to make it a warm, creative, and open place for sharing. This project is above all personal, driven by the pleasure of sharing and creating a welcoming place for our family, friends, and visitors. Specifically, we are improving: • The exterior (woodland, garden area, paths, plantings, etc.) • A former barn that we dream of transforming into a space for expression (music, concerts with friends, small-group celebrations), • And the space near our installed geodesic dome, used as a space for relaxation, obse...

Good morning;. I went on the Wagon Train in Montana like every other year. We had a bad wreck, both of us got hurt. My ribs are not broken but the Doctor said they would be better if they were . Please come help me. I am now able to ride the ride on mower and get mowing done. Still painful.. My helper who had been here just over 3 years [yes years],moved . He works in town full time, stayed here for free and helped with chores. I really need the help. I do need someone for the winter months for sure. I have had 3 really great helpers already this spring. Not as much to do as most years. Painting will have to get done this year. That is outside on the little buildings. 2 barn doors need repairs. Please respond when I send an invitation. I wait and wait and so many do not reply. Thank you to those who do. Due to my health, i have gotten behind.. I hope to see many more new friends in 2026. If you have not been to Saskatchewan, You are missing sheer beauty and so many things to see and ...

This is a large farm of terraces and forest in the foothills of the pyrenees. We farm truffles. Unfortunately we don't have animals at the moment. The house is very remote up a 2km track and twenty minutes walk from a very small village. The house runs with solar energy and water from the local river. The area is spectacularly beautiful with an 11th century castle ruin and hermitage. Great for nature and wildlife with Golden Eagles nesting in the valley and great for climbing and walking. You will need to be able to enjoy the peace and quiet. Most of the work will be outside, I have some building work to do and plenty of gardening this spring. Building work is traditional and eco friendly. English, spanish portuguese and french. I will attempt to show you around this beautiful area of Northern Spain.

(Note for U4U applicants -- we cannot sponsor any refugees from Ukraine at this time, but we are happy to host you if someone else can sponsor you.) ~Our Place~ We live on a beautiful piece of land in rural Texas, full of lush green hills, towering pines, oak savannahs, and wild animals, about 1 hour's drive from Austin. Our goal is to build a community out here, starting from our extended family and friend group and beyond. We've traveled the world volunteering, hitchhiking, Couchsurfing, playing music in bands, farming, building, protesting, yogaing, truck-driving, teaching... all kinds of things. Now, we're trying to restore this piece of land to a more balanced state and to build a home, a farm, an apiary, a studio... We want this to be a place that fosters creativity, closeness to nature, silence, loudness, peace, chaos, etc.! And we've hosted volunteers from Colombia, Iran, Canada, China, Mexico, Iraq, USA, Korea, Spain, Bulgaria, Brazil, Denmark, Zimbabwe, Japan, France, Germ...

Sorry folks, we are now fully booked until the beginning of April 2027. There may be a cancellation, but these are very rare, but if you are in the area, reach out, we love to chat :) As well as the normal homesteading tasks, if you want to learn about wine making, bee keeping, jewellery making, or take some self defence lessons we could be a great match. Have a think, take a look at our reviews and if you are interested, drop us a line, *** Our beautiful countryside homestead (only 5 acres so not really a farm) is in the mountainous hills above the historic castle town of Caccamo, Sicily. It is surrounded scraggy mountains and long valley walks. It is perfect for hiking or just relaxing in the sun with a good book. We offer long-term opportunities for Spanish and English speakers to support our local staff in our reception and other areas as required. Our BnB, Apu Lodge, is in the Inca town of Ollantaytambo, gateway to Machu Picchu in the Sacred Valley of Cusco, Peru. It is a small (10 rooms) quality Bed and Breakfast with beautiful gardens and views located in the pedestrian Inka streets of the village. We serve dinner every evening. We prefer longer term exchanges for volunteers with our friendly team in our beautiful corner of Ollantaytambo. P...

We are a cultural and arts community that is working towards being self-sustained. The community is situated in the mountains of Monchique, Portugal surrounded by nature. If you have something you are passionate about and want to share with others, we would love for you to run a workshop. One of the best things here is the variety of tasks you can do as a volunteer, which gives you the opportunity to learn new skills and discover what you enjoy doing most. We have a combination of short-term and long-term volunteers and on average we have between 10 to 20 volunteers and resident...

Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our do...

We can offer you homestay accommodation for a few hours of help/work per day. We are an easy-going family and would love to have a fun-easy-going person join our household.

Food ...

Hi, my name is Demi. I’m originally from Switzerland and I inhabit a beautiful place in the tourist area of Siem Reap from a warm-hearted 72-year-old Cambodian landlady who also lives on the property. I'm in the process of building a yoga retreat center and would be happy to anyone who wants to help and participate with their energy, knowledge, and creativity. Accommodation - Private room with Bathroom - Affordable meals available nearby. ( Kitchen for cooking shared meals in planning.) - Safe, supportive, and friendly environment. - Yoga mats are available. (Yoga room and free classes in planning) Cultural exchange and learning opportunities: Experiencing Cambodian culture alone is a worthwhile adventure - Meet the friendly locals, try Khmer food, explore local markets and craft shops, watch traditional dance performance, learn something about the history and of course visit the famous Angkor Wat temple! There are many different tasks that the volunteers can try out and I'm eager t...
