This very peaceful rural property is located within a special coastal Karri forest and is just 6 km from Hamelin Bay - where friendly stingrays swim along a beautiful white sand shallow beach. The weather is warming up now and the flies are starting to die out. We start work early here(7am) and that means helpers have from 9am to be free to play and/or relax !! I invite helpers who are travelling in a camper van or similar to come and help here. This place is very special location" because it is 'away' from the hustle and crowds of Margaret River(20 min away) and it's only 15 min drive to Augusta and the mouth of the Blackwood river. All the usual native animals roam freely over this land - Kangaroo, Emu, Possum, various reptile also so many birds are in abundance on this land. 2 helpers are moving on soon and I will need a couple of helpers to replace them. I am seeking at least 2 helpers(a couple) who are staying in their own camper van, or car with roof top tent or similar. I wil...

I own a 15 acre lifestyle farm overlooking the sea at Kuaotunu on the beautiful Coromandel Peninsula. I have 6 Alpacas, 2 cattle, 1 cat and 1 dog. I would like help to care for the gardens, grounds, 2 glamping sites and animals. I offer 3 good meals and morning tea per day, and accommodation in a caravan, in return for 4.5 hours work per day that you are with me. If you wish to work a full day and have a full day off, I will do my best to accommodate that. The property has stunning close views of the sea and islands, a Pa site (a high hill where there was once a fortified Maori village)and is about 10-15 minutes walk down to the beach. Kuaotunu village is very small but is in a beautiful location with a general store and a very cool rustic beach shack style pizza restaurant - Lukes Kitchen - which has excellent wood fired pizzas and other food and often has live music in the summer. There is also a fabulous cafe - Kua Kawhe, with a great selection of food made on the premises - they m...

Would like an energetic couple or single person to help out with gardening, and housework. We would expect about 4-5 hours help a day in return for free accommodation and meals. Large bedroom and own bathroom. We have animals so, would prefer someone who enjoyed them being around. There are many wonderful places to explore in Hawkes Bay when you are not working. Fantastic cycle ways, tramping trips into the native bush areas, beaches and wonderful wineries. Prefer you to have your own car to get around and beable to see the region.

Hi. So many well travelled and interesting helpers. I feel a little underdone as a host, as my home is humble and may be slow paced in comparison. Yet here it is. I am seeking mainly outdoor work at this time, weather permitting. This may include The clean up after my house build. Landscaping Painting I would love some happy help. If you don't have transport, that can be managed. I dont go out much socially except for a few friends on weekends but I do have a small boat from which I explore the local area and do a bit of fishing. The Coorong a favourite. I care for my elderly parents also and you will get plenty of time to yourself. For some it may be a bit too sedate a lifestyle. There may be heavy work at times but regulated to the skill and ability of the helper. Because of my age (65) I regulate to just a few hours of harder work a day. There is lighter work as well including gardening, house setup, painting, cabinet making, etc. Patience, honesty, trustworthiness and willingn...

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to routburn and greenstone tracks.you will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. ,a bit isolated, not for the precious,no trophy hunters !! .please don`t apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only.we do not get involved with internships or visa applications.vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers ! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar ( badly ) and sing ( worse ) ,but it's all about smile not style :-) Cheers Al

Hi Everyone We are currently looking for someone over the Xmas and New Year period to help out on the farm and also do a few days of caretaking for while we attend to some family affairs. We are located on the Sunshine Coast of South East Queensland. We are just 45 minutes north of Brisbane and 50 minutes south of Noosa Heads. If you have heard of Steve Irwin the Crocodile Hunter, we are only 15 minutes away Australia Zoo and 20 minutes away from the closest surf beach. Your own transport will allow you more flexibility as we live in the middle of a forest but we are happy to get you to and from the closest transport if you require it and show you some of the local area when time permits. It is almost 10 years since we last participated in the Helpx program. We have formed many long term friendships with the helpers that have been generous enough to come and assist us in building our dream here on the farm. Once again we are looking to grow our dream in another direction now an...

We need two people travelling together who want to visit us for about a week in mid-December.. We are a busy and active couple in our 70s needing some help on our medium-sized suburban land on the north-east fringe of Melbourne. Rain over the past couple of months has caused way too much grass to spring up where it shouldn't be. So, our need is for people who can help us with lots of weeding and, to break it up a bit, some rabbit-proofing. We need people who are comfortable working without supervision, after some initial instructions. The arrangement is to work for about 4 hours a day but we can be flexible with how this happens. In exchange, we will provide food (self-serve breakfast & lunch), evening meals most nights, or food of your choice to cook if we are not home. You will have your own comfortable room and separate bathroom, a lounge room with TV, and unlimited WiFi. We have a tennis court, a billiard/snooker/pool table, table football, and board games, which you are wel...

I am an aquatic ecologist who has fortunately been working out of our coastal rain-forest property for 35 years. Driven by strong curiosity, I have recently been developing long-term data sets on the animal life in the forest that surrounds our home, plus on tropical marine fish that are steadily increasing in numbers under the influence of climate change at the nearby very beautiful Seal Rocks area (for details click on my website link below). We have 20 acres with 2 acres cleared and the remainder moist tall forest and rainforest. It is on the coast 3 hrs drive north of Sydney (1.5km from Smiths Lake; 30km south of Forster) See my blog link below to glimpse the accommodation, typical work and fun. We have a 180 squ m vegetable garden at times needing attention which has been enclosed to keep out our friends the wallabies (pademelons), possums, parrots and native bush turkeys. Bush regeneration is another activity as well as assisting in ecological surveys of local rivers when t...

OUR Ecovillage (1999) is looking towards a creative and fun season of committed volunteers who wish to work within a collective project opportunity. We are working on the next 25yr Vision and with this are building a very large public art installation project (earthen/cob Dragon sculpture with lots of mosaic work!). This means we are working with: the gardens, livestock/poultry, food forests, natural building (earthen, strawbale, plaster projects, finishing work, carpentry, etc), food preservation, yummy kitchen crafting for shared meals, mosaic and mural artwork, supporting Eco-tourism & farm guests ...

We have the pleasure of living on 350+ acres of natural bush country in Brooweena, Queensland. We are new to this platform but have been on workaway for about 6 years. We (My partner Ruby and me (Ross) and our 4 y/o Harriet) live on a little property in Central Victoria about 2 hours from Melbourne. We have been here for 7 years and are slowly chipping away at different projects from house fix ups to garden projects. Ross's background is in horticulture and landscape design and construction so we are putting in a lot of effort to the gardens. He also teaches a couple of days a week online. Ruby is a social worker, she works 4 days per week. Our 4 y/o daughter Harriet loves craft, games and playing doctors and dress ups. We also have two gorgeous/ energetic dogs and chickens. Our place is set on the edge of a creek on about 4 acres of land at the bottom of a ridge. We have an old tavern from around 1860 (now a house), a fairly new studio and a bungalow, caravan and workshops on our property. Ruby and I are both vegetarians and really like food! We are a 5 minute drive the cl...

Hello! We are a family of four, Masina and James, and our children Nola (4) and Lucy (3) living by the coast in Taranaki. We love cooking, gardening, music, surfing. Prior to having our children we both did a lot of travelling and love meeting and getting to know new people. Our place is right across from the coast in Taranaki, if you are into surfing our place will be right up your alley. You can walk across the road and jump in for some of the best waves in New Zealand. We live rurally so it is best if helpers have their own transportation. We are looking for people to help us with the house (cleaning, organising, cooking) and garden (weeding), or other projects we've got going on as our children take up much of our time! We provide main meals and accommodation in exchange for 4 hours help per day. We are rainbow and LGTBQ friendly. Your room is upstairs with space to relax and a private balcony looking from Taranaki Maunga to the sea. Looking forward to meeting you and welc...

Hello. We live on a historic property located in the hills of Echo Park, which is between Silver Lake/Hollywood and Downtown in Los Angeles, CA. We're also adjacent to Elysian Park. We are one mile from Sunset Blvd where there are buses and transit to access the rest of LA. There are 8 historic homes and the stables on 5 acres. We often need help in making repairs, maintenance, painting, helping out with the horses and gardening, sweeping or raking. I am rebuilding one of the adobe houses in the next few months and will need an assistant to help me out with a few tasks. We will be doing some carpentry mostly but also some plastering and other tasks. Any help is very much appreciated. There are always fun projects to work on. We also occasionally need help with some light domestic work, like dusting, washing dishes, washing windows, etc. If you have childcare experience, we'd love to hear from you! We have two cats in the house as well as chickens and horses. We usually need help fro...

INTRODUCTION This is NOT a hostel, but a personal project aimed to become an educational & cultural spot in the neighborhood. It means, you will NOT work following a set of rules to make profits for a bussiness, but to participate with ideas/creativity/emotions/action to develop a social-aimed venture. Please, before introducing yourself, which is very nice, ask me if the days you apply are available to welcome you. Applications are accepted in order of arrival and mutual agreement :) BASIC BENEFITS - Wide garden, bedroom, living room, little kitchen. They all are simple. Any area is shared. - Breakfast will be provided by the host the work days. However, the lunch and dinner can be cooked in the kitchen by the guest/volunteer/friend. I am flexible to talk about these and other clauses. - You handle to organize your work hours/days. ADDITIONAL BENEFITS - Welcome cocktail or typical Peruvian meal. - Detailed advice on transport or interesting spots in the area or the country (I've...

I wil...

We work within intercultural/intergenerational/interfaith/inter-nation restorative justice framework on our farm and work with research teams on soil/wastewater/energy systems design/etc, and permaculture education projects with learners from local to global! This means we are working with: the gardens, livestock/poultry, food forests, natural building (earthen, strawbale, plaster projects, finishing work, carpentry, etc), food preservation, yummy kitchen crafting for shared meals, mosaic and mural artwork, supporting Eco-tourism & farm guests ...

Hello Everyone, We've been hosting through helpx for over 10 years. We enjoy learning about cultures and people from all over the world. We have the pleasure of living on 350+ acres of natural bush country in Brooweena, Queensland. We have converted a bus to a tiny home, and we are currently building a shipping container home, this is a priority and would love people to help. We also grow a lot of our own food and have fruit trees. We are 100% off-grid with all our electricity from solar and tanks, dam, and rain for water. We have a friendly dog who loves to play. Our goal is to be as self-sufficient as possible, improve the soil, and regenerate the land to a healthy ecosystem. We use Permaculture Design methods. This means we don't use any chemical sprays, artificial fertilizer or mono-cropping on our land and live the values of Earth Care, People Care and Fair Share. It's a very exciting time for us to be embarking on our farming adventure, and we would like to share this t...
