Next vacancies likely to be 2nd week of September. We appreciate help with DIY repairs and maintenance, timber work, help with gardening, housekeeing, cooking, duck and chicken rearing and dog walking on the beach. Fishing, snorkelling, and rainforest walks can help occupy your spare time. We hatched two goslings in mid July and are hand-rearing them, real characters! We start 4 hours outside work at 08.00 hr, five mornings a week and at 9 am on Sundays. Saturday is your day off. So most of the work will be outside, based out of a well-equipped workshop and/or in our vegetable garden and hen and duck coops. Opportunities on your day off include fishing, sailing, snorkeling, weather permitting of course, rainforest walks and river swimming (Mossman River at The Gorge) and free nature tours on crocodile spotting boats on the Daintree River with the #Daintreerivercruisecentre (as Dave sometimes drives their boats and tour-guides for them when needed). We are establishing a m...

Help out in the morning (2 hrs), surf or relax in the afternoon. We are looking for 1 or 2 happy helpers to join our team from mid-September. The work is mainly housekeeping and general hospitality tasks. The jobs are easy, but we are looking for someone who has an eye for detail and a positive “can-do” attitude. In exchange for 2 hours of help each morning, you get: 🏠 free accommodation, dbl room for couples and twin room for friends, 🌴 plenty of free time to surf, explore or simply relax. Our lodge is a historic Kauri building right on 90 Mile Beach at Shipwreck Bay, Ahipara, a beautiful spot famous for its surfing. We are a small guest house with 18 beds and a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Most of our guests come here for surfing and to explore Cape Reinga. If you are not into surfing, no problem — it’s a great place to hang out, relax and make friends. The beach is right in front of the lodge — a fantastic place to chill, surf, swim, walk or enjoy the sunsets. If you are frie...

We started our Vineyard back in 2004, it is located in a Beautiful, Quiet, Valley along the bluffs of the Mississippi River. We have five children that have now grown and moved out on there own. I just retired from a career of Process Instrument Work at the local power plant. I could use some help with the Vineyard and Gardens, but also enjoy fishing and boating on the river in the evenings and of course days off. We would be willing to supply your own bedroom ,great meals and WIFI. We also have two male Collies that love to get brushed and played with. The ideal person would have to be able to work on there own or in a small group, after some training of course to get you up to your comfort level, so as you basically understand what the goals might be for the time of year and tasks at hand, a five hour day ,if the weather permits, is what we usually work . There might be a few longer days, but I`m sure that having time off to check out the area won`t be any problem. If you would care...

Our small farm (https://little-farm.com.au) sits in Northern Victoria, where we grow fruit and vegetables, plant trees, and learn as we go. Tim, a retired engineer, is always building or fixing something. Beth is a teacher and health practitioner who also teaches at university. She tends a rose garden of over 400 fragrant bushes. Early mornings here smell incredible. The property includes an organic vegetable garden, orchard, berries, herbs, and a music room with a baby grand piano. If you play, bring your instrument. We’re close to the Murray River. Big skies, glowing sunrises and sunsets, and rich birdlife surround us. Magpies are part of daily life here, in sound and in art across the farm. Nights are clear and full of stars. Many people arrive tired and leave feeling genuinely restored. Spring time is here and helpers wanted! Beautiful Nikau Valley Garden & Studio. Hi there helpers! We are a well-traveled couple in our sixties looking for help to maintain our one-acre property in peaceful Nikau Valley (near Paraparaumu). We are needing help at the moment with several outside jobs, like planting alstroemeria flowers on a raised bank, assisting me with clearing some small trees in our little orchard. There's also some light sanding and staining of outside furniture. Plus on a rainy day there's always more tasks once I start looking. It doesn't matter if you dont have the right experience, what matters more is a positive attitude and willing to give things a go. If you dont understand anything I will try my best to demonstrate and explain how things work. Vibe: We aim for a relaxed, friendly atmosphere mixed up with a good variety of tasks. Kia ora from Kay and Keith My husband, Keith and I live on a 12 acre lifestyle property in beautiful Pleasant Valley (just 10kms mountainside of Geraldine). Our property sits in the view of the Four Peaks Mountains and has trees, creeks, and a natural spring-fed swimming pool. You will have your own space - cottage accommodation ( 40 sqm cabin with stunning mountain views, queen bed and bunks, kitchenette, simple bathroom - but you are welcome to use our full bathroom which is just adjacent to our house). At this time of year we would love some help in the garden - pruning fruit trees and weeding and planting natives. The days are starting to get longer. Looking forward to warm spring. There are plenty of signs that it is not far away. We still have availability beginning of September. We are a small family: 2 teenagers, 3 dogs, 1 cat, 3 cows, sheep, ducks, geese and chickens. We live in Hira on a rural lifestyle of 4 hectors. We raise chicks and ducks for meat and eggs. We also graze sheep and cows. We pretty much grow all our own fruit and veg for seasonal eating and winter storage. Our heating is via managed woodland and solar and our water is via rain water and the River Teal. We have two properties and a pool to manage. So there is always something to do! This is the time of year when winter is on its way out so there is lots to do in the garden. There have also been some crazy storms & rainfall so there is woodland to be tidied and firewood to be managed. Other projects include: Sorting compost, Processing firewood from trees all felled ready for sorting, chipping, splitting and stacking,...

Animal Rescue and Sanctuary and Organic Vegan Farm in Central Costa Rica Hello everyone! What we do: We take care of animals, we grow organic food, we prepare and eat tasty vegan meals, we minimize our impact on the earth, and we enjoy the company of our Costa Rican friends and neighbors. We have run a volunteer program for over 18 years, and have had several hundred people come to work with us! Our farm is primarily an animal rescue, rehab and sanctuary. Our doors are open to animals in need. We currently have five rescue dogs, five goats, a pig, a horse, one cat, and two water buffalos. Some came off the streets, some were abandoned, others were injured and no longer wanted. We adopt out what we can, but most are retired and happy to live their lives on the farm. The 3.5 hectare property is covered with many tropical fruit trees, including water apple, mandarin orange, banana (many varieties), guayaba, guanabana, cas, caimito, lime, nance, coffee and araza. Depending on the se...

Kia ora guys, We live in a small west coast beach village about 35-40 minutes from central Auckland called Muriwai Beach. It is one of NZ`s most stunning and wildest beaches. We have a half acre section that always needs little things doing and the house is slowly being worked on as well so experience in building or skilled labour is always cool as well as people who like to work in the gardens and landscape. We have a daughter who is 11 years old who loves playing in the outdoors, tending her veggie garden and meeting people from all over the world. If you like the beach and the wild west coast then I`m sure you will love it out here. I work in the television and film industry while my partner is a a musician. Drop us a line and tell us a bit about yourself and maybe you can come out and share some of the magic that we feel living here. Cheers. Toby, Moana and Manawanui.

Hi you young and beautiful travelers, Bundaberg is a less known touristic town, with a mild climate, beautiful beaches and wonderful surroundings. It is also an agricultural country town with many backpackers hostels . With a bit of lack there might be opportunities for paid work on a farm. It’s only 350km north of Brisbane and easily reachable by train. My home is only a few minutes drive from the town center, yet secluded and peaceful, sitting on 2.5 acres. I am looking for people who would like to visit this promising coastal town and help with general house and backyard maintenance, around 4 -5 hours a day, 6 days a week. The person helping me will have a home away from home and a cosy room to rest in. I am hoping he/she will treat the place with respect and consideration, observing the few requirements related to the use of bathroom and kitchen. Otherwise, regretfully, we will have to part ways sooner then expected. A good home cooked meal and an occasional glass of wine is...

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) , please don't come if you have a heavy cold or flu, I'm involved with the elderly. Cheers Al

Current projects are building a new cottage for myself which is nearly completed and hope to move in by the end of August! and similar 2-bedroom cottage as a guest house which is also nearly completed just doing the final bathroom and kitchen fitout! both will be total off grid power and water supply. Hi there, and welcome to Christchurch, We have a charming, but largish, garden and an old weatherboard house and are giving them both some loving attention. We are interested in help - mostly with gardening and house maintenance, and some indoor housework - in exchange for food and board. We are keen to hear from someone looking for around a 3-5 days stay. Happy to be flexible around hours (e.g. can be 4 hours work per day or 1 day on then 1 day off). We are friendly and welcoming, and both work from home for some of the time. Our house is close to the Christchurch CDB and the Port Hills, and is near 3 major city bus routes. Own comfortable room and fast WiFi available. We have one friendly Jack Russell terrier. We have both traveled and lived overseas, and enjoy meeting people from different countries. We look forward to being part of your NZ experience.

Now accepting guests for quite a very long time! I am currently building a house from scratch and at this moment I need help landscaping and hoisting up tools (super easy). The yard could use a day or two of cleaning up and leveling and planting. I prefer to not be the decision maker on what get planted so helpers can have at it. I live a 15 min bike ride to the quarter where lots of history and good music are always on display. There are second lines, mardi gras events, day of the dead parades, gay easter parades, decadence, pride, naked bike rides, community rides as well, and on and on. The festival season is from october to May and there are so many things to see and do in the new Orleans area. My ol lady loves the music and I love the urban exploring and adrenaline nature stuff. In exchange for work I'll offer food and fun city events that are ongoing. At this point in the project I can offer my fully functional tiny house (300 sqft), spare room inside the big house, a p...

This is an exciting opportunity to have an experience that will stay with you throughout your life. Our Foundation aims at helping rural children receive a qualitative outstanding education. We are currently taking applications for volunteers who would available to start mid-November and commit to at least 8 weeks . We are looking for volunteers to teach English only. Aloha and welcome to my Hawaiian-owned and operated farmstay, a small, homesteading project rooted in Native Hawaiian values, sustainability, and a true farm-to-table way of life. My goal is to grow, harvest, and share food directly from the ʻāina, providing nourishment for ourselves and our La Hui. while learning how to live simply, mindfully, and in harmony with the land. Situated on one acre on the east side of Hawaii. This māla produces tropical fruits, heirloom vegetables, and fresh eggs, all cultivated with care, presence, and respect for indigenous land stewardship practices. Helpers are invited to participate in planting, tending, harvesting, and preparing meals together, gaining hands-on knowledge of self-sufficiency, food sovereignty, and sustainable living. This is not a tourist experience, but a cultural exchange centered on healing through food, community, and Mālama i ke ʻĀina—caring for the land so it may care for us in return.

Cheers Al
