OFF-GRID EXPERIENCE IN SOUTH OF FRANCE June to mid-September 2026 Step back in time with us at our family estate, untouched since the 19th century. Located 3 miles down an earth track road, we live off-grid with no running water or electricity. We balance self-sufficiency with select technologies—using solar panels to charge phones and Starlink parabol for free WiFi. We like paradox. Water is drawn from a well with buckets, but we also use a generator to pump water for our vegetable garden. OUR LIFE STYLE ‱ Organic permaculture gardening ‱ Outdoor showers and living ‱ Cooking and eating mostly vegetarian meals from our garden ‱ Practicing yoga and enjoying nature HELPER SKILLS NEEDED ‱ Friendly, adaptable, and autonomous ‱ Interest in ecology and sustainability ‱ Ability to work both independently and in groups HELPER TASKS ‱ Daily care of the 100sqm2 organic garden ‱ Harvesting and preserving fruits and herbs (for jams, marmelades, herbe tea) ‱ Construction and maintenance (wood...

Welcome! Our family owned and operated certified organic livestock farm in North Central British Columbia is excited to have you stay and become a part of everything we have going on. We’ve been operating since 2008, primarily raising Berkshire pigs, Dexter cattle, Katahdin sheep, laying hens, broiler chickens and of course bronze breasted turkeys for thanksgiving and Christmas. On top of that, we’re home to two Labrador retrievers (Ned and Nelly), 3 outdoor cats, 2 guard alpacas and a family of Muscovy ducks. In other words, you will never find yourself not in the company of animals! Aside from livestock, we have recently built a small farm store / cafĂ© that cooks the meat raised on the farm. We also take pride in creating all recipes from scratch, from the sauces to the buns of the burgers. Currently only operating during the summer months, 3 days per week. It’s been a lot of work, but a great way to get more people out to the farm, eating good food and connecting with the community...

We have an old corn & saw Mill (1800's) in the beautiful Kildare / Wicklow border in the East of Ireland which we will be restoring. We currently live alongside the mill in the workers cottage and we have started to restore the cart house on site. We have a keen interest in Heritage crafts and have set up a blacksmith forge on site. We are looking for a helper who would like to stay and help us out with some of the garden tasks and the restoration of stonework on the cart house. In exchange we can provide accommodation and meals and an introduction to blacksmithing and stonemasonry. Someone with adequate strength for stone work and using garden machinery need only apply! The Mill is located on the edge of a small village which has a cafe and pub within walking distance. There is also a bus stop nearby that takes you to the local town Naas/Carlow. Beautiful secluded small cattle ranch close to the North Thompson river and many great fishing lakes and miles of quiet trails. Nature is exactly what you will find here if you are lucky you might get to see a bear or two and the many bald eagles in the area. We need help with different things around the farm for example gardening, fencing, irrigation, painting or carpentry. If you have tractor experience then we could use your help during haying. We have the cows as well as making hay to sell. In March and April we have calves being born so would need help with calving. In the fall we get the cows home from summer pasture and sell calves. There is always something to do here. We are building a new cabin this year and would love some help with that project. There are many smaller projects as well and depending on your skills and interests we will find something that suits you. In exchange for your help you will get room and board, many great memories and new friends are included...

Deutscher Text weiter unten. Hello, we're the Hagemann family. 5 years ago we took over the house with all the trimmings from our friends of the Lang family and would be happy about new/old helpers. We, that's Christian (59), Christine (54) and our 2 dogs. We also have some horses, goats, chickens, ducks, rabbits and a big garden. We're always looking for someone to do gardening and animal care and feeding Experience is good but not necessary. Skillful craftsmanship is advantageous. The requirement is 25 working hours per week, health insurance and the minimum stay should be 1 week. We are a non-smoking family, but the smokers who go outside are also welcome. In return, we offer an open-minded family, our own small apartment, many leisure activities and a private pool. We live in the countryside but still central, a shopping mall is nearby and the beach is not far away. Bicycles are available. If you have any questions, please contact us. -------- Hallo wir sind Familie Hagema...

We are located on Vancouver Island in the foothills below the Comox Glacier, 6 km. from the ocean and have hosted travelling helpers for 20 years. Accommodation is a rustic and basic bright loft in the bicycle building workshop. (Unheated but with plenty of quilts and a hot water bottle, plus the house is warmed with a cozy wood cook stove in cool weather.) We have several garden plots, a greenhouse, fruit trees, a walnut tree and chickens. I am a writer, a folk musician and a community and social justice advocate and Ross is a peace activist, an alternative bicycle designer, specializing in electric power assist bicycles and utility cycling. He is also a land survey technician. The tasks depend on the season and include general gardening work such as compost making, planting, weeding, mulching, harvesting, fence repair, plus firewood, bicycle repair, help in the kitchen and occasionally some house work. Hi, my name is Sylvia and I'm Dutch. After having lived for the majority of my life in cities I wanted to roam around with Helpx, so I did. However, I fell in love with the first place where I stayed, many years ago. A very small rural village in Bavaria, Germany, at the Czech border. I rented the huge house and intend to stay here, with my little dog, for the rest of my life. It’s a beautiful hilly area and the forests invite for long walks in which you may spot deer, lynxes, boars and other animals. Public transport ends in Weiden (train) or Lohma (bus), but I have a car, can pick you up and drop you off. Plenty to see within reasonable distance like Nuremberg, Regensburg, Munich, and Prague. Ski and snowboard centre at 7 km distance and lots of others a bit further away. In the holiday season, Christmas markets can be found everywhere. You will have your own room (with WIFI) and a shared bathroom, and you are welcome to the rest of the house too. I‘ll try to cook for you what you...

Travelers should choose my place because it offers a calm, friendly, and comfortable home in the Dublin Suburbs 10 minute train ride to City Centre. You’ll be surrounded by plants, nature, and good company 🌿. The tasks are light and relaxed. You’ll also learn practical gardening tips and horticultural knowledge in a cozy, welcoming environment. It’s an ideal place for volunteers who enjoy peaceful living, meaningful conversations, and a warm home atmosphere. I am a well organized and responsible person. I’m an easy-going, friendly host who enjoys gardening and evening chats 😊. I value respect, honesty, and a relaxed environment. Volunteers can expect to be treated kindly and fairly, with plenty of support and patience. House also has a permanent tenant, Gloria from Italy (early 30's) who has been here over a year. The help is quite easy and low-stress. I’m happy to share my horticultural knowledge, including tips and tricks for getting the best performance from different plants đŸŒ±. T...

A room is available for your homestay. Because of the help I would like to ask, mature ladies who have enough experience/knowledge of handling house holding chores and cooking are welcome. No problem if you cannot cook Japanese dishes. Vegetarian is welcome only from summer to autumn. It's easy to talk about next step of your homestay if how long from when, how you can help, what you want to do during homestay in addition to help works are written in your request. I will reply to only applicants who read my profile and understand/satisfy requirements. I'm a 67 years old male living alone and have a small private organic vegetable garden. I am happy if someone can help me to maintain vegetable garden and household chores including cooking. I also can enjoy helping my guest to learn Japanese language. We can visit at sightseeing places/aesthetic landscape when we have free time. At the same time, I'm interested to hear your stories about helpx and learn foreign languages as well ...

Welcome to our homestead! We (family of four, with an 8-year-old and a 14-year-old) are currently taking a little bit of a step back from endeavoring to grow, raise and preserve as much of our own food as possible to put in more infrastructure, improve health (mom) and homeschool with more focus. However, we are still doing some of that! We have a lot going on with building, gardening, animals, home schooling, two active kids, making a living and keeping a household. Part of our farm family are 2 large outdoor dogs, three cats and 30 or so chickens. In the past we've had ducks, geese, turkeys, pigs and sheep, but they are on vacation! We live on 5 acres about 6 km outside of Duncan, on Southern Vancouver Island in the beautiful Cowichan Valley... There are so many places to swim in the ocean, lakes and rivers, bike and hiking trails, spots to picnic and enjoy. Ezra and Hanna both grew up hosting and, since starting our family, have hosted many WWOOFers and HelpXers (We're new to W...

We have been fully vaccinated and will welcome helpers who have also been fully vaccinated. My niece and I have a scenic country home on two acres with spectacular views of rolling hills. There are excellent hiking and biking trails nearby, and beaches of Lake Simcoe are only 20 minutes away by car, one hour by bike. We will be happy to drive you there. Two bicycles and high speed WiFi is available. We have two dogs and two cats. We are located one hour north of Toronto - accessible by Go Transit to Newmarket, where we will pick you up. On your days off, we will gladly take you to Newmarket to catch the train/bus to Toronto. We can do the cooking but are happy to share the cooking, and will welcome any specialties you may have. We do not cook vegan or gluten free. If you are vegan or gluten free, then you should probably look for a different host. Also please note that this is also a no smoking, no vaping and no drugs home, and that you must have medical insurance for Canada, ...

About Us I'm Hiro, and I live with three roommates in Toshima Ward, Tokyo. My roommates are Japanese and Nepali, including a queer woman. They are an "aspiring" voice actor, student, and sole proprietor. Room sharing and coming out of the closet are uncommon in Japan. The Neighborhood Two stations from Ikebukuro and ~30 minutes from Shinjuku and Shibuya. Quiet residential area with some restaurants and shops. The house is old, poorly ventilated, and in a natural setting. Not suitable for people with asthma or allergies to dust or animals. We have different lifestyles and are very busy most days. I'm an IT engineer and work from home, busy on weekdays. If you stay short-term, we may not have much time to meet with you. While you’re staying with us, we’ll have a get-together at home with drinks. Let me know whether you drink alcohol and if you have any dietary restrictions. My roommates are happy to share their knowledge of Japanese pop culture. They play video games, guitar, piano, ...

Hey, hello you ! We are Caro and Chris, Zion and Kiara. We were travelling around the world since a gorgeous time until all this virus craziness happened. Caro, then Chris & Caro were backpacking, doing hitchhiking, etc... The beautiful wildlife. Then kids arrived in 2017 and 2019 so we mainly stayed travelling in Europe by van until they will be able to carry a little backpack ;) When the virus arrived, we were crossing Sweden. Everything became complicated with borders, shops and people so we decided to enjoy the strange time to build our home. We bought an over 300 years old stone house on a big peace of land which were abandoned and this new adventure started. Bretagne is a nice place full of culture, traditions, nice villages, forest and legends and history, and surrounded by the sea. After being helpers ourselves, we now want to be hosts too. We loved it so we expect people love it here too. Our kids are homeschooling with mainly their mother and we would be happy to have Eng...

We are a cultural and arts community that is working towards being self-sustained. The community is situated in the mountains of Monchique, Portugal surrounded by nature. Our community provides an alternative way of living with permaculture gardens, farm animals, sustainability projects, and arts and cultural workshops. It is a great place to come to meet other like-minded people if you are passionate about sustainability and alternative living. We hold community meetings throughout the week alongside activities and workshops, such as quiz nights, dance nights and yoga classes. If you have something you are passionate about and want to share with others, we would love for you to run a workshop. One of the best things here is the variety of tasks you can do as a volunteer, which gives you the opportunity to learn new skills and discover what you enjoy doing most. We have a combination of short-term and long-term volunteers and on average we have between 10 to 20 volunteers and resident...

Hawaii Beach Project: This is a construction project that believes in creating positive change by using sustainable methods and newly invented building materials and procedures. Our project has been underway for over a decade and through the process we have had the opportunity to present a transformative experience for individuals who want to work on not only bringing the building and environment to a higher place, but to also bring themselves to a higher place. We provide and encourage all who come to volunteer to participate in meditation groups and seminars, yoga practices, healthy eating options (all of the food here is provided for you!), and make strong and lasting relationships with everyone who lives here! We are looking for long term help in carpentry, mechanical, electrical, fiber cable installation, tiling, masonry, and drywall. If you have any experience in any of these construction areas and would like to spend a minimum of 3 months living on a beach on Kauai Island, the...

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) , please don't come if you have a heavy cold or flu, I'm involved with the elderly. Cheers Al

ENGLISH VERSION Here we live in an ancient school in the mountains of north Ardeche (1350m) ! My name is Etienne (35years old) and i live there since two years with Lena (27years old) who joined me two years ago and many people who join us throughout the year. Actually we are approximatly 7 to 10 people living here . it's a pretty remote place (closest supermarket is 30 min driving) but there is often people passing by (friends, neighbor, unkowns...). Most of the place is in a good state but there is still some work to do(paintings, coating, roof fixing, isolation...), so we would need a little help for the place to be able to welcome more people, and make our daily life better. The amout of work needed from helpers would be pretty low (around one or two hours a day), We want a little help but we want at first sharing our life with new people and have a good time. We dont have so much money and we try to repair the School with less euros as possible, with second use materials ...

We haven't had many helpers for a few years as our children have grown up and left home. We only have a few vacancies open for the Spring 25/Summer 2025/26. We are a small family owned, self sufficient farm, 40mins south of Hobart. We have 2 adult children. We have a big interesting house and we think we are friendly, kind and fair hosts! Over the Spring/Summer months, we may require extra help with garden maintenance and maybe some firewood stacking. We grow a big mixture of seasonal cut flowers, berries and have large vegetable garden for our own use. We have lots of chickens, 1 dog and 2 cats. We have amazing views over the D'entrecasteaux Channel and Bruny Island. 15min drive to Cygnet, 5min drive to Kettering ferry terminal to Bruny island. Easy access by bus to and from Hobart. Everyday work is easy and doesn't require prior skills, just general fitness for working outside .... we will show you how to do everything. Work includes general gardening maintenance, lots of weeding ...

I am looking for people that are passionate about dogs and like to spend time and work with dogs. A pack of 24 huskies is something different than having a pet dog at home. You will be able to join our animal assisted programs with kids and young adults and learn about it. I am educated in dog physiotherapy as well and there is the possibility to learn in this field as well. Beside the main topic the huskies we have bee hives and produce our own honey. There is a big garden with fruits and vegetables that needs maintainance. To sum it up our work here is mainly outdoors with nature and animals. Every day is different so its not possible to give you a long term daily structure in advance. There are some everyday tasks in the dogcare but the rest of the work depends on the weather and the season. As we live in a small village the main freetime activities are biking and hiking. More freetime options you find in cities around in your days off. Vienna is quite close and its possible to ta...

Looking for a female to help out with our trekking center and house cleaning duties during the summer months from May till September. We are situated in the beautiful countryside of the Scottish Highlands beside the famous Eilean Donan Castle and 20 minutes drive from the isle of Skye . This is a rural area with limited public transport but a perfect paradise for walking, cycling, and hill walking. We do have a Bus stop about 5 min walk away from the premises and a pub a mile down the road. We have an estate with lots of horses and are looking for someone to help assist our new pony trekking girl with the horses which would include grooming the horses and other general work in the stables. As well as this, there will be general duties around the farm such as making beds for the bed and breakfast, light housework and maintaining the grass. I am looking for someone who is outgoing and confident and someone who feels comfortable being away from home and also confident around horses an...

Here lives 20 horses, some dogs, cat and a lot of wild animals 🙂 I have spent a lot of time to rescue animals so some of the horses, dogs and cat at the ranch are rescues . I need help in daily chores at the ranch: grooming, cleaning, feeding, bring out water to the pastures, walking/cozy time with cat and dogs, fencing , everything having with a ranch to do. Real interest and experience with horses and dogs are needed. I provide lodging, pick up and leave at trainstation/airport-Östersund drive to a store once a week, some horse riding , bicycles, snowshoes, sparks , some dinner and fika together , bed linen, towels, laundry once a week etc. I don’t have any economic help or funds for all around the animals so I can not provide meals full time . I have got bad arthritis in my body so your help means a lot to me and the animals 💛 Welcome to us đŸ€—đŸŽđŸ¶đŸŠŒđŸ±

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

Hello kind stranger! Our names are Claire and Michiel, we're a young Franco-Belgian family living on an old farmstead near the coast of Wissant, North of France. For 8 years now we are bringing the old farmhouses back to life, while also bringing up our two daughters: Fleur (5 yo) and Perle (3 yo). We've been hosts since 2021 and we love the life that a group of volunteers brings to our place. Making you discover French culture, nature and the sea helps us to enjoy it even more ourselves. Teaching French and picking up on your languages widens our world view and helps our kids to be future globetrotters - like you! The different nationalities we're welcoming make us feel like travelling the world while staying at home. Every day we're hosting, it widens our horizon and gives us love, laughter and friendship. So far we've made an old stable into our home, we've renovated a 'longĂšre' (long farmbuilding) into a woodworker's workshop, our workshop and office space, we've landscaped the c...

We can't wait to meet you in the Cotswolds! We have a large Georgian Farmhouse just outside Castle Combe - one of Englands most beautiful Cotswolds villages, which was used as the location for Stephen Spielberg`s movie `War Horse` and many other famous TV and film titles.

We are 5mins drive from the M9 motorway. 1hr from Dublin City Centre, Airport or Dublin Port. We have a bedroom with en suite toilet for a...

We eat local fish, chicken, meat and organic vegetables and fruit. There are wilde...

HiđŸ€— Urgent need now!! Come and volunteer with me and all animals in JĂ€mtland, between Åre-Östersund at a horse ranch.
