I have a property on the edge of Havelock North in Hawkes Bay.I need help in the gardens and around the property..Helpers have their own very comfortable and self contained accommodation .They are welcome to use the swimming pool and tennis court. The work is varied and not too strenuous. In the past some of my helpers have done their chores while also working in paid employment and I am flexible to manage these situations. My helpers all seem to love the food we eat- I’m a hunter gatherer and we eat lots of food like fish and home grown vegetables.. Couples are welcome. The property is within walking distance of the Havelock North village. Bikes are available for use by helpers.Havelock North is a vibrant town in one of New Zealand’s most attractive and liveable provinces. Now that spring has truly arrived there is a lot to do around my property..My helpers only need to help me for 4 hours a day- in return you’ll get free lodgings in a comfortable room with an en suite , great food an...

I run a small BnB in Katoomba on 1/2 acre, Blue Mountains which I live in. Vacancy for helpers depends on my Airbnb bookings. Only 1.5 hours from Sydney. I need help in my landscaped garden: lots of weeding, general garden maintenance and a little help inside. 4 hours work per day in return for accommodation and food. OR only 2hrs/day , you provide your own food. I provide all basics from my pantry. Short term, weather permitting. I'm a 15 minute walk into town centre. Happy to drive you into town if I'm on my way. I have a dog super friendly. I've hosted several backpackers over the years, happy to forward details, if you require some references. Whipper snipper/brush cutter experience, and I need to cut back some smaller trees with a small battery operated chainsaw. Experience preferred. Thanks. Kim & Rosie

Hello there, I am seeking a couple or single traveller to help me here on my beautiful small farm. I'm especially looking for self contained travellers in camper vans or similar etc etc. I will provide access to clean toilet and shower facilities. I have some really nice set up camp sites here - the sites are private, clean, safe and located in beautiful natural bushland settings beside a stream. This land is habitat for many native animals who roam freely around the property. If you would like to come, stay and help me here, please send me a message ! I can usually help traveller/helpers locate many other things.., like work opportunities, free food services and access tracks to various hidden beaches etc etc. I like to show people how they can live on the land sustainably, how they can build their own sustainable homes and grow their own food...., using what is around them, to adapt to their environment and adopt permaculture principals to suit their own needs. I have lived on m...

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) , please don't come if you have a heavy cold or flu, I'm involved with the elderly. Cheers Al

My husband and I moved to this 240 acre farm in the South Burnett Region of South East Qld 2 years ago and have recently moved into a purpose built cottage (to reduce our footprint) relying on rainwater for the house and bore water for the gardens and to reduce our footprint further we have installed a composting toilet. 40 fruit trees have been planted and raised garden beds made which is the start of our edible oasis. Next on the jobs list is creating wicking beds from IBC totes and fencing the house yard for our two Jack Russell dogs. We have an old thunder box we would like to restore to make into an outdoor composting toilet (let us know if you’re handy on the tools). There’s plenty to do and learn around the farm depending on your ability and interests. Enthusiasm is a must. There’s gardening and learning about soil health, learning how to erect barbed wire and electric fencing, animal husbandry, building, cleaning and general maintenance. There’s always something different g...

Need helpers for mid September. In return for 4 hours help a day I offer you accommodation and all meals in a sunny, warm home where you will have your own bedroom (queen size bed) and own bathroom with the added privacy of being in a separate wing of my house. My sunny home sits atop a hill from which you will have a magnificent view of the township of Blenheim to Cook Strait and the hills of the North Island beyond. Of course if you would prefer to work a full day in order to have a day off in which you could explore the nearby Marlborough Sounds, cycle the wine trails, or walk or climb on any of the formed tracks in this area, that would be just fine. My 40 ha property is a sheep/beef farm most of which is leased. I tend a large garden and care for the drive and tracks, drainage and irrigation and deal with fallen trees. It is help with this work I require.. Therefore most of the work is outdoor, constantly varied, not difficult, with some indoors work on occasions. The farm ...

At our off- grid solar, wood and gravity powered homestead you can live very close to Nature and learn by helping, how to grow your own food in the big, fully caged vegie garden/ orchard and some of how to build a bush cabin (it could be a winning strategy in years to come). We are long term, committed advocates, for climate change action and we've lived with Sustainability and Creating a low "Carbon Footprint" in mind, for 40 yrs now, settling here, (inland of Taree / Port Macquarie) from scratch in 1980, on 680 acres of rocky ridge forest on the wild and steep NW edge of the Bulga Plateau, 500m above sea level (a very beautiful but challenging location)! Watch our YouTube video below, about our community and us, made by the very talented helpxer, Louie Ablett. Three of us live here now, myself 74, David 84 and Sue 64, who started as a WWOOFer and has moved here with the help of a voluntary activity agreement through Centrelink for over 55s'. WELCOME TO PARADISE GLENORCHY! We are a busy couple working full time and needing help with our property. Based in the spot chosen by the original settling family in the area, we have a really well established garden that needs taming and some quirky buildings that need some TLC. Looking for hardy gardeners, handy DIYers and folks who are keen to just generally get stuck in. We have a great retro caravan, sleep out, outdoor kitchen and bathroom set up that's screaming out for someone, two friends or a couple to bring it to life. At this stage we a only provide breakfast, but could do lunch in some situations. We have heaps of freezer space and suggest you stock up on a few dinners, and drinks in Queenstown before you get here as the local shops are a bit pricey. Spark phone signal is limited to the end of the drive, OneNz works just fine. - free internet available. We recommend helpers have there own wheels, as we're 5km outside of Glenorchy. There is however a bike you can use if ...

You are a traveller looking to experience the peacefulness of the East Algarve Hills, but don´t want to stray too far from the amazing Algarve coastline or the Spanish Border. You´re interested to learn in depth about how we have approached a project to buy and renovate a hamlet and land collectively... and what happened next! The surrounding area is nice for mountain biking and hiking, expecially in SPring when all the flowers are in bloom. We would like to hear what skills and interests you have and how they relate to our activities here. Why not come and help us renovate our old stone hamlet and learn some of what we have learned and how we do it? We are a non-smoking, calm, family project in the hills. Our day is oriented around work, meals and our family activities. Outside of mealtime and work, we would prefer guests to amuse themselves in the peaceful setting, unless we arrange some visits that you will be welcome to join. It is our mission to provide visitors from all over the world with an authentic experience of the unique atmosphere and culture of our home in Canada’s far North. As a well-established tourism company, we are diversifying our impacts and create a more resilient business. Doing this is not only fulfilling our long-term mission of developing a self-sustaining Arctic Eco-Village, but also investigating innovative solutions to major obstacles facing communities in the North: food and housing insecurity, decolonizing our economy, capacity development and cultural revitalization. Sustainable farming is not the only focus we have here, but we are continuously developing ideas and trying new farming methods. We are happy to find people from all over the world who are as motivated as we are to make living in the Arctic more sustainable. Organic methods: In the summer time, when we enjoy 24 hour sunshine, we grow our plants in greenhouses without the use of any chemical/artificial fertilizers....

Hi, Its spring! We have a few lambs coming. One is already here. It’s gardening time! We need help. And we’re looking forward to meet you. We’re in rural North Canterbury, only 30 mins drive from. We’re on a 10 acre minifarm with a few sheep and young cattle and a large organic vegetable garden which we eat from every day. By car we're about 7 minutes drive to the sea, an hour to Hanmer Springs, 20 minutes from the Waipara Valley vineyard area. We have bicycles you can borrow to explore locally, and if you like hiking up hills there are a few nice tracks in close driving distance. In fact, I like hiking too, so I can maybe be your guide if I'm not otherwise busy. Accommodation is in a comfortable sleepout (queen bed) and you would use the bathroom in the house and share meals with us. You would be helping me in the garden mostly, but also I usually like some help with housework. If you like cooking I have a nice kitchen for it. We would like about 4 hours work per day for food...

I am professional early retired gentleman in my early 60's who lives in a 4 bedroom house with a substantial garden. I seek a helper who will assist with maintaining garden and house and be an engaging companion. House usually has other residents - either tenants or volunteers so there is almost always a little community atmosphere. A private room is provided to all volunteers and house has excellent modern facilities. Also, we often play puzzles, play chess and watch tv movies and TV shows. Listening and sharing music is also a constant activity. Finally walking around Dublin city and exploring the local area is something we do.

I have a large section with plenty of gardening that needs to be done; anything from weeding to lawn mowing or hedge trimming. I love traveling myself, having been to 125 countries, so can offer lots of amazing chats over dinner. I also enjoy playing board games and have quite a collection to enjoy some evening entertainment. In my spare time I play a bit of badminton, and am trying to play golf, though I need a lot of practice.

Need helpers for mid September. In return for 4 hours help a day I offer you accommodation and all meals in a sunny, warm home where you will have your own bedroom (queen size bed) and own bathroom with the added privacy of being in a separate wing of my house. At our off- grid solar, wood and gravity powered homestead you can live very close to Nature and learn by helping, how to grow your own food in the big, fully caged vegie garden/ orchard and some of how to build a bush cabin (it could be a winning strategy in years to come).
