Open for helpers from mid February until mid December. Not outside this period. Small farm without any farming since the land is rented out, but the forest is maintained by me. Also have a vegetable garden and berry bushes and lots of machines like tractors, ATV, snowmobile etc. I have 2 sons that are visiting regularly. Tasks can be gardening, carpentry, painting houses, general house work or forest work. Also might need mechanical help with machines. I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

I am an Irish filmmaker recently relocated to rural France, where I am developing a filmmaking residency and independent creative retreat in a 150-year-old French manor house. The property includes a 20+ room château-style house and two vast barns, which I am in the process of transforming into a fully independent film and arts studio complex. The long-term vision is to host filmmaking residencies, Kino Kabaret events, writers’ retreats, and film-industry masterclasses, alongside screenings, collaborative productions, and summer open-air theatre. This is a hands-on, evolving creative space designed for filmmakers, writers, artists, and curious makers who want to live and work together in a quiet, inspiring setting. The barns are being converted into:a 30-seat cinema / screening room editing suites a recording studio additional artist studios and workshop space Inside the main house, the work is largely restoration: painting and decorating historic salons and bedrooms, laying tile and w...

Hello. I’m Paolo, a recently retired musician. I live in a mountain area made of rounded, wooded peaks in the inland of the Italian Riviera, at the point of connection between two regions, Tuscany and Liguria, widely renown for art towns (Pisa, Lucca, Florence among others) and picturesque fishing villages. It’s a quiet setting to get away from it all, with a 360 degree view stretching for tens of miles and right down to the Mediterranean Sea, only 25 km/15 miles away. Here is where the Alta Via (High Route of the Ligurian Mountains) starts, a long-distance waymarked hiking trail for nature lovers. I speak Italian (native), English (fluent) and French (fluent). I’m looking for volunteers who are self-motivated and good with their hands, willing to help me with general maintenance around my property in exchange for food and lodging in a friendly environment. I appreciate a baggage of life experience that is not too small, so volunteers in their mid to late twenties at least and in t...

We are a busy family with a two acres of gardens in a country setting, just 10 minutes outside Tauranga. We have a menagerie of animals plus vegetable gardens and a small fruit salad orchard. At times we raise our own (friendly) lambs and pigs and do some home processing into hams, bacon etc. We have a clean and very comfortable 60m2 accommodation separate from the main house with 2 bedrooms (one double and two single beds), a bathroom/shower, a large living area, a nice little kitchen, and wifi. You will have this accommodation building to yourself. We like 2 people at a time, ideally at least one of them male (as some of the work can be heavy), and for a week or two, depending on work available. There is always plenty to do with a wide variety of tasks both outside and inside. This includes: - gardening, pruning trees and shrubs, weeding, lawn mowing, wood splitting/stacking and other section maintenance (to suit your level of experience). - some inside housework/cleaning on rai...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. PLEASE NOTE WELL: we absolutely cannot host anyone with any pre-existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions), such as hay fever, any other allergies, sensitivities or intolerances. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. WELCOME TO PARADISE GLENORCHY! We are a busy couple working full time and needing help with our property. Based in the spot chosen by the original settling family in the area, we have a really well established garden that needs taming and some quirky buildings that need some TLC. Looking for hardy gardeners, handy DIYers and folks who are keen to just generally get stuck in. We have a great retro caravan, sleep out, outdoor kitchen and bathroom set up that's screaming out for someone, two friends or a couple to bring it to life. At this stage we a only provide breakfast, but could do lunch in some situations. We have heaps of freezer space and suggest you stock up on a few dinners, and drinks in Queenstown before you get here as the local shops are a bit pricey. Spark phone signal is limited to the end of the drive, OneNz works just fine. - free internet available. We recommend helpers have there own wheels, as we're 5km outside of Glenorchy. There is however a bike you can use if ...

Hey you ! Do you want to come and spent some nice time in wild Transylvania ? It's a place where the time has stopped and rural life isn't a fake touristic attraction but beautiful hard reality. My house and grounds are located in the hills nearby Bradetu village, 750m up in the Carpathian Mountains by the foot of the highest part - Fagaras. The environment is a healthy variation of forest and prairies, streams and rivers blooming with (sometimes rare) life. The air is clean, fresh and the night skies are glorious. *Home My home is an eco-friendly straw bale construction. Clay was used for the finishing of the straw walls and interior walls. The floor of the attic was filled with sheep's wool. You will have one big room with spectacular views all around. Sanitation is basic because of no running water. In the house is a dry toilet using sawdust, bath and wash-basin. Inside the house you can find mobile signal out mostly only weak, wifi connection. The sun gives us enough electricity...

Hello, my partner John & I, have had a wonderful time sharing our home with volunteers. We now have a vacancy from August 11th. Short or longer stays are welcome. We usually have 2 volunteers staying with us, each with their own bedroom. Volunteers can cover each others time off & share the tasks. We usually take volunteers out to places of interest, on a Saturday. We live as a family & enjoy many things together, with our volunteers, many of whom have become lasting friends. We live in a 4 bed modern dormer bungalow, in a beautiful village, with a shop & bus stop 3 minutes walk from the house. We live with my father, who is 89 years old and has moderate memory loss. My father is calm & relaxed. My father does like to have volunteers there, to watch television with him, so that he’s not alone & he enjoys helping volunteers improve their English pronunciation. Volunteers are also welcome to work on their laptops, while sitting with my father, he’s used to that & still en...

Hello helpers! We are a family living on a rural property near Lake Barrine, on the Atherton Tablelands. Brett is Australian, Caroline is French, and we have 4 children (7yo boy, 4yo girl, 2yo girl, baby boy). We need help to build our family house! The walls are made of earthbags, which is a natural building technique that anyone can learn. If you're not familiar with it, there's plenty of YouTube videos that can show you quickly how it's done, so you can get an idea. We are using mesh tubes (hyperadobe). We have already built an earthbag dome, and are currently living in it. Rainy days jobs are mostly property maintenance and gardening. We cannot build the earth walls if it's raining. It doesn't matter if you don't have any building or gardening experience, as long as you are willing to have a go. We will work with you most of the time. We will ask you to do about 4h of work a day, in the morning , 5 days a week. But it can be flexible, depending on our schedule. Our accommo...

Hello my name is Philip and my wife is Allison. We have a beautiful piece of land in Devon where we look after and breed alpacas. We often have beautiful baby alpacas in the summer. We have some tourism here as we have two bell tents and a shepherds hut. I like nature and the outdoors and like to have interesting conversations with any helpers we have. I am also interested in Japanese and Chinese culture. We normally only take one or two helpers at a time who will live in a comfortable lockable studio with open views of the land. We supply the food and bed linen etc. The work is five days a week and is very enjoyable and variable. It will be feeding and helping the animals as well as some light farm work, nothing too heavy. Also some tidying of the tents. Please do not use headphones to listen to music when outside because you will not hear farm vehicles.

I am a lady farmer running our family farm which is an 80 hectare sheep and beef property, with horses. We have a close country community with my sister and family living nearby, so guests can expect to experience New Zealand rural life. You will live as family in our home with your own bedroom and bathroom upstairs. Duties will be varied and include cooking, housework gardening, help with the animals and general farm duties. There are several horses to be cared for and exercised, if you are a very capable rider, as some of the horses are young. This would suit 2 friends or a couple with their own transport. This is not such a great place if you have allergies. Because I have arthritis my mobility is somewhat limited. We welcome self-motivated adults who will roll up their sleeves and enjoy the tasks. People who like to make a difference and are happy to socialise with us and our friends.

We are a mature male gay couple and have a lifestyle block 20 minutes out of Tauranga. We live simply, majoring in low carbon and a gentle footprint on the earth. We mostly eat home grown produce. We are dairy free, and we make our own Oat/almond milk. We are a good example of self-sufficiency, that you will have the opportunity to visit in NZ. Chickens, worm farms, solar PV panels and an electric car, solar hot water, fruit wine making, are some of our self-sufficiency measures. Big vegie gardens, multiple fruit trees and sheep also feed us. :-) There is always weeding to do and tending the animals and small projects. We are currently upgrading the property for a possible future sale, as we need to downsize. Also we are involved in a 300 Hectare pest free zone in the Kaimai Mamaku State Forest Park, so you may get an insider's view on possum, stoat and rat control up the end of the road. Mostly in Autumn, we can teach wine making skills, as well as share our experiences in ...

Gardening, forestry We live in a small cottage on a friendly lake about 3 hours north of Toronto. We have the usual cottage toys available, canoe, small sailboat, row boat. Looking for help with selective cutting trees for firewood and lumber which we cut on our own small mill. Hopefully someone that is a better gardener than we are as we would like to start growing our own produce and maybe even get some chickens. Help with some construction and painting projects. We have some old machinery we are always trying to keep running. We are offering free accommodation and meals in exchange for help. This is a no smoking environment.

Hi! I'm Tonje and I moved to my farm in 2020. And there's always a lot to do here. This small farm is in a very small town, by the fjord in Hardanger. Its a good place for hiking and culture. The area is quiet and scenic. The closest cities are Odda and Bergen. The bosses of the house are 4 dogs and 3 cats. Right now I don't have any farm animals of my own. But the neighbor's sheep live here too. I would have been very grateful for various help on my small farm. The work can be very varied. But I need help with maintenance of the outdoor area, wood working, chopping firewood and snow shoveling. I also have an airbnb, so cleaning, organize and tidying jobs are also tasks that I may need help with. Help are appreciated a lot. For your help, I can offer beautiful scenery, food and a private bedroom.

After an intense house renovation, we are now entering the final phase, focusing on cleaning and refreshing the house. From APRIL (for about one month), we are looking for help with PAINTING work inside and outside, as well as some light gardening tasks such as weeding. This period is ideal for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and likes to see visible results at the end of the day. From JUNE onwards, as the weather becomes warmer, the help will mainly consist of daily HOUSEKEEPING tasks (cleaning, ironing), with occasionally some light gardening. We’ve found that this experience works best for people who enjoy staying active and contributing in a practical way to daily life. We truly appreciate volunteers who bring positive energy, a hands-on mindset, and a genuine willingness to help. We are a Belgian family who has been living in France for over 20 years. In our late fifties, we speak French, Dutch, English, and a bit of Spanish. Our home is located in the beautiful r...

Im now retired and need help with a large garden (lots of weeding!) other jobs about the property and some inside house work - none of it is heavy work although the garden is weather dependent!

Also if you need to listen to music while outside I do not think that this is the right place for you. Please contact me with any que...

Kia Ora. I run an Angora goat farm just outside Oxford in North Canterbury. I have 180 very cute goats which I shear for fibre twice per year. I also farm sheep and cattle. I farm in a sustainable way and have been trialling some regenerative agricultural practices. I am looking for helpers starting late August 2026 Jobs include farm work, gardening, housekeeping, servicing and cleaning my AirBnB and learning about our farming systems. You would have your own room and receive all your food in return for 4-5 hours work per day. Those are the typical Helpx conditions. There are usually other Helpxers at the farm and we work, eat and live as a family , sharing housework and cooking tasks. I look forward to welcoming you to the farm!
