We are a small family seasonal business and run a passenger boat and a gift shop. In the winter there is work to do maintaining the boats and in the summer gardening, outdoor maintenance as well as help with cooking and housework. We also need a bit of help in the gift shop which is an information point for the boat trips so you need to be fairly fluent in English, and sometimes need help with the boats. You would stay with us as one of the family, in your own double en suite room. (no smoking please). We expect helpers to be able to use their own initiative and be able to see what needs doing. I don’t want to have to keep asking you to do things /tidy up etc 😉 Lots of opportunities for trips out on one of the boats. The village we stay in is near the Isle of Skye and has a great atmosphere, it is very friendly with two local pubs which have traditional music evenings. The village is on the loch, has a sailing club & good for water sports. We have canoes you can use and helpers ...

I would be very happy to welcome volunteer teachers who are willing to help at my school for two or three months, or even for a full semester. *I want the volunteers who work at my school to not feel like they are working. Instead, I want them to feel that they are enjoying themselves and having a holiday while staying with us. Their room is fully equipped with air conditioning, hot showers, and a spacious private room that is separate from the main house, so they can feel comfortable and relaxed during their stay.* My name is Edison I have a wife, her name is Nofi. I also have two children, Ochta (32 years old) and Fadlil (12 years old). Ochta can speak English. I run a private English school for children between the ages of 7 and 19 in the small town of Batusangkar, West Sumatra. My goal as the principal of the school is to provide youth from my region with the English skills required to communicate better in the modern world, and therefore provide them with better opportunities ...

Looking for Helpers right through busy summer and autumn months. Plenty going on during summer, shearing, stock work, fencing, weed control, garden tidying, lawn mowing, lots of tractor driving etc. It would be great to have some strong keen helpers to help fix fences and do some building work. Our family of 4 (2 kids - 16 & 18 years old) live on a beautiful sheep and beef farm with large woodland garden and organic vegetable garden. We need help with stock work, general farming tasks, gardening, cooking etc. We're 40 minutes from Nelson, 15 minutes from Motueka. It's an idyllic rural setting with excellent access to rivers, mountains, mountain biking, Abel Tasman & Kahurangi National Parks etc. with easy access to some of the best fly fishing rivers in NZ (and the world!) There's 4-6 hours work per day depending on tasks. Plenty of flexibility to work full days and have plenty of time off to explore. Please be aware you may get hot, wet, muddy, dusty and dirty but rest assured ...

We have an organic farm at Oldcastle where we host Wwoofers too. There we have lots of different roles from house keeping to vegetable gardening, foraging, admin, cooking, animal husbandry, sewing carpentry building work etc. Tasks vary and very much depend on ability and skill sets At our location in Dunshauglin we are only looking for help with housework cleaning and childcare and sometimes gardening. We ask for 5 hours 5 days a week. Accommodation in Dunshauglin is in a comfortable apartment beside our home while in Oldcastle it’s in mobile homes. I have started to use Helpx to supplement Wwoofing as we try to have a greater mix of volunteers. We have had great success with people on career breaks in the past - as an example. Accommodation in Oldcastle is in 2 mobile homes that have a wood fired heating system - this may not suit everyone so a gen...

Hello, my name is Florent, I'm 45 years old, I was a chef for about twenty years, and since 2017 I've been a spirulina producer. Spirulina is a microalga that's very rich in nutrients. It's a very environmentally friendly crop, requiring little energy and no pesticides. Spirulina needs sun and warmth to grow. The harvest season in our region runs from April to October, and it's during this period that I'm interested in hosting someone (I don't need two people at the same time, one is enough). I already have people helping me until the end of july, so I'm looking for someone from this period. I mainly need someone to help me harvest the spirulina but also sometimes to help me out on the farm with various tasks, as we do everything ourselves: cleaning, labeling, packaging, general maintenance and odd jobs, and also everything else that goes along with the spirulina production: clearing brush, chopping wood, going to markets from time to time, house construction, etc... I'm looking...

Hi, and welcome to NZ. Looking for 1 female who likes the outdoors & animals, is confident around horses & cattle & also likes to help around the house and garden. We require someone from 29th June to 12th July, but happy to accommodate the right person from either side of these dates. Kelley will be away from 3rd July to 9th July and so I am specifically looking for someone who can do the animal feeding jobs & collect eggs while I'm away please. Brent works in a factory Mon - Fri and will be home in the evenings, but as he leaves before daylight he can't do this. Usually it take around 2 - 3 hours in the morning & then around 1/2 hr to 1hr later in the afternoon. If you enjoy cooking & can maybe make him dinner one or two nights, that would also be amazing! During the middle part of the day you'll have time to explore the area (if you have a car) or plenty of time to relax, exercise or do your hobbies, or hang out with our friendly goats who love cuddles! This particul...

We have a basic but lovely country home located by the Rangitikei River. We are about 25 minutes from the nearest shop in Hunterville as well as our local pub which is located about 10 minutes away. My husband and I have a 3 year old son Joseph and a 1 year old baby Makayla. We do our best to live off the meat that we hunt and the vegetables we grow. I'm looking for someone to help out with our veggie garden and with general work around the house or with projects that I might be doing at the time of your stay. Our wood shed is currently in need of some repairs so if you are someone that is interested or has experience in building or repairs then you would be a great fit however if this job wouldn't suit you then there's plenty of other chores to do. You'd be looking at around 4 hours of help per day in exchange for food and accommodation. We live on my husband's parents Deer, Sheep and Beef farm. We have 2 pet dogs and a few working dogs as well as some very friendly pet sheep. Che...

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

***If there’s anyone out there that would like to help with fencing and irrigating, that’s what we need right now! Send me a message! This is a family operated ranch which both runs our own cattle and custom grazes our neighbour’s cattle on extensive private and government range lands. We pasture-calve a small herd, but the majority of our work is grazing 1500 yearlings through the summer and fall using horses and ATVs. We manage the irrigation equipment, ditches and water supply, as well as maintaining, repairing and building temporary & permanent electric fences, barb wire and log fences. Hawaii Beach Project: This is a construction project that believes in creating positive change by using sustainable methods and newly invented building materials and procedures. Our project has been underway for over a decade and through the process we have had the opportunity to present a transformative experience for individuals who want to work on not only bringing the building and environment to a higher place, but to also bring themselves to a higher place. We provide and encourage all who come to volunteer to participate in meditation groups and seminars, yoga practices, healthy eating options (all of the food here is provided for you!), and make strong and lasting relationships with everyone who lives here! We are looking for long term help in carpentry, mechanical, electrical, fiber cable installation, tiling, masonry, and drywall. We are a multi-generational, multi-cultural family living on a peaceful rural property just outside Dundalk, overlooking Dundalk Bay with the Cooley Mountains with its forests and walks behind us. It’s quiet and natural, but still close to town, with a local pub a short walk down the lane. We share the space with two friendly dogs and enjoy a simple, outdoors-based way of life (hiking, cycling, kayaking). Professionally we are a retired fashion designer, a primary teacher and an organisational and leadership development consultant. We rennovated our own house while camping on the property. You’ll be staying in a designer-renovated mobile home set slightly apart from the main house, so it feels private and quiet, surrounded by fields. It’s been thoughtfully redone and is very comfortable, with Wi-Fi, a TV, a complete kitchen, and an en-suite bathroom with a large walk-in shower. There is a king-size bed and a small second room with a single bed as well as a double sleeper couch in the ...

ENGLISH VERSION Here we live in an ancient school in the mountains of north Ardeche (1350m) ! My name is Etienne (35years old) and i live there since two years with Lena (27years old) who joined me two years ago and many people who join us throughout the year. Actually we are approximatly 7 to 10 people living here . it's a pretty remote place (closest supermarket is 30 min driving) but there is often people passing by (friends, neighbor, unkowns...). Most of the place is in a good state but there is still some work to do(paintings, coating, roof fixing, isolation...), so we would need a little help for the place to be able to welcome more people, and make our daily life better. The amout of work needed from helpers would be pretty low (around one or two hours a day), We want a little help but we want at first sharing our life with new people and have a good time. We dont have so much money and we try to repair the School with less euros as possible, with second use materials ...

You will like it here! We are a little unconventional community of 4 persons (66,65,71,74), 1 friendly dog and 2 playful cats and we live in a cosy house surrounded by a garden. This is only the second school in Nagarkot, nice Nepalese village in Bhaktapur district; a 1.5 hrs bus ride from Kathmandu. It hopes to provide an English medium education for underprivileged children. The school has 7 staff members taking care of its 80+ students - aged from 4 to 12 years old - and would benefit from any help volunteers can provide. Volunteers can expect to as class helpers and also share teaching tips with the school if they can. Volunteers can also help beautify the classrooms murals to help the kids as visual aids during their school time. Becoming an independent class teacher is also an option for long-term volunteers as soon as they have a grasp on the school's curriculum and vision for students. Other jobs for volunteers include: - Writing class exercises and homework exercises for students (we have no printing/photocopying facilities) - Designing class quizzes and tests - Introducing interactive, educational games through which children can learn ...

Hello wonderful Help-xer's! We have an opportunity for a couple, to come for a week, or two weeks at a time. We are a family of five running a sheep and beef farm in Rissington, just out of Napier. (three children aged 12, 14 and 16) We have comfortable accommodation with your own large King bedroom and bathroom, that would suit an energetic, couple, or one/two motivated people travelling together who are keen to help with our beautiful riverside accommodation whilst learning about our culture and family along the way! You will stay and help cook meals for our family whilst having the opportunity to go out and explore the beautiful Hawkes Bay. We are looking for help with the following; landscaping, weeding, spraying, limbing up trees, spraying down and washing outside of buildings, washing windows, gardening and general maintenance around the property. Gardening, forestry We live in a small cottage on a friendly lake about 3 hours north of Toronto. We have the usual cottage toys available, canoe, small sailboat, row boat. Looking for help with selective cutting trees for firewood and lumber which we cut on our own small mill. Hopefully someone that is a better gardener than we are as we would like to start growing our own produce and maybe even get some chickens. Help with some construction and painting projects. We have some old machinery we are always trying to keep running. We are offering free accommodation and meals in exchange for help. This is a no smoking environment.

Enjoy canoeing, kayaking, biking & hiking at our waterfront B&B. You'll have your own private room. If you have a valid drivers license, and are staying for at least 2 months you may use one of our cars. This requires a discussion, and is on a case by case basis. Cleaning rooms to our 5 star standard is the primary work. Limited gardening, yard work, helping around the B&B with all aspects of running a home-based business. Must be physically fit to do this. Crewing on our boat is optional if you like it - not everyone is comfortable being on the ocean. Here is what a typical summer day looks like: About 1/4 of our guests purchase breakfast.

This is an exciting opportunity to have an experience that will stay with you throughout your life. Our Foundation aims at helping rural children receive a qualitative outstanding education. We have a volunteer teaching program to assist rural teachers and children get exposure to foreign languages and cultures. Because English is the second language in Thai schools, we concentrate on improving the English language skills of both rural teachers and children. At present, we aim to help 4 public elementary schools (grades 1 - 6) close to Chiang Mai. We are currently taking applications for volunteers who would available to start sometime between mid-May and the end of June and commit to at least 8 weeks . We are looking for volunteers to teach English only. Couples are welcome as well. NOTE: We do not charge volunteers any fees for staying with us. The generous gift of your time and dedication is all the donation we will ask of you. We provide the volunteers lodging and meals in ...

You will like it here! We are a little unconventional community of 4 persons (66,65,71,74), 1 friendly dog and 2 playful cats and we live in a cosy house surrounded by a garden. Our children are on their own, but they sometimes visit us. We raise our own organic vegetables in several raised beds and normal garden beds. There is always something to do in the garden and around the house or walking the dog, cleaning windows and so on... We live in a small rural village in the beautiful hills of the "Odenwald". Our village is located roughly between Heidelberg and Frankfurt, also Mannheim and Darmstadt can be visited easily. There is a good public transportation to all these cities. The Odenwald is a famous hiking region and ideal for mountain biking, a bike is available. There is a climbing rock not far from our house. We speak English quite fluently and some French. There are several medieval towns and castles around with beautiful historic buildings. We try to bring some permacultur...
