We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. PLEASE NOTE WELL: we absolutely cannot host anyone with any pre-existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions), such as hay fever, any other allergies, sensitivities or intolerances. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our do...

We are a family with 2 boys (13&6) and a dog called Wallace. We play music and are in a musical duo called 'Starla'. We are very lucky to live in a such a beautiful area, rich in culture, music and natural beauty. We are looking for someone easy going and flexible, someone who is fond of kids and dogs (preferably female & with previous experience with children & a good level of English), to help with house-work, some gardening (in fine weather) and the children. Enjoy access to everything from this centrally located home base, we are 7 km from Doolin, "the traditional music capital of Ireland and gateway to the Cliffs of Moher & the Aran Island", Lisdoonvarna (spa town & home of the famous matchmaking festival) & Ennistymon (market town), & less than 9 km from Lahinch (seaside resort), Liscannor (picturesque fishing village) & Kilfenora (gateway to the Burren national park). Own transport is recommended but not necessary, we live in a rural area with limited public transport, but we...

Gardening, forestry We live in a small cottage on a friendly lake about 3 hours north of Toronto. We have the usual cottage toys available, canoe, small sailboat, row boat. Looking for help with selective cutting trees for firewood and lumber which we cut on our own small mill. Hopefully someone that is a better gardener than we are as we would like to start growing our own produce and maybe even get some chickens. Help with some construction and painting projects. We have some old machinery we are always trying to keep running. We are offering free accommodation and meals in exchange for help. This is a no smoking environment.

I am an aquatic ecologist who has fortunately been working out of our coastal rain-forest property for 35 years. Driven by strong curiosity, I have recently been developing long-term data sets on the animal life in the forest that surrounds our home, plus on tropical marine fish that are steadily increasing in numbers under the influence of climate change at the nearby very beautiful Seal Rocks area (for details click on my website link below). We have 20 acres with 2 acres cleared and the remainder moist tall forest and rainforest. It is on the coast 3 hrs drive north of Sydney (1.5km from Smiths Lake; 30km south of Forster) See my blog link below to glimpse the accommodation, typical work and fun. We have a 180 squ m vegetable garden at times needing attention which has been enclosed to keep out our friends the wallabies (pademelons), possums, parrots and native bush turkeys. Bush regeneration is another activity as well as assisting in ecological surveys of local rivers when t...

Hi, we are an English family who have lived in France for over 20 years. Until 4 years ago we ran a large smallholding. Sadly, due to ill health, this had to stop. As we are now back on our feet, we are keen to get things back under control. There is a lot of gardening and land clearing. We live on the edge of a national park and have wonderful countryside, stunning sites, and history all around us. We have been hosts with other sites for over 10 years and have a face book page, that runs along side our work, for you to find out more once you have made contact. Do get in touch, and we will be happy to hear from you.

We grow organic table grapes, a few fruit trees, chickens and a few pigs. This is a real farm experience, mostly working in the vineyard, with some fun too. There is biking to town, swimming in the ocean or our lake, fishing, basketball, volleyball, hiking, nature walks, beach strolling and look for fossils at Blue Beach, camp fires , rope swing in our little lake, take in the fantastic views, sunsets, star gazing, internet, phone and go to nearby towns such as Wolfville and Hantsport as well as the rest of the Annapolis Valley with the local bus. The accommodations and kitchen are separate for helpers cooking with an abundance of food. This is a more independent farm stay. Hope you can make it here.

Hi! We live in a semi rural location on 4 hectares of land in Halswell, Christchurch. We have a separate 3 bedroom house on the property for the use of our helpers. You may have this house to yourself, or we may have other helpers staying in the house at the same time. The house is fully self contained, and set up so that you can provide your own food and cook all your own meals. The property is gated, secure and has a beautiful outlook onto a wildlife pond. We have two young children aged 5 and 8. We can show you the area, which has good transport and many nice places to visit and walks to do. We will have the occasional meal together when possible and we will include you as part of our family when on family outings etc. Hours are only 3.5 per day and is mostly just weeding work. Hours can be completed any time in the day and the rest of the day is yours to do whatever you please. We have been to China and thoroughly enjoyed it and spend a lot of time in Mexico. ************ PLEASE READ EVERYTHING BEFORE APPLYING ******** Hi! I'm Brì (39 years old) and I live with my little daughter Nina (2 years old). I'm a single mother, recently separated, and I'm rebuilding a new balance with my daughter. In the past I also traveled as a helper. I crossed the Atlantic to Cuba and lived for a year on a boat in the Caribbean, then hitchhiked through Eastern Europe. I truly believe in cultural exchange and in sharing everyday life in a simple and authentic way. Now we live in Milan and I’m looking for someone who would like to share a bit of our daily rhythm and help me keep our home peaceful and well organized, so I can spend more quality time with Nina. I work during the day and in the evenings I dedicate most of my time to my daughter, so I’m not always very present — and I prefer to be honest about that. What I can offer is something different: • A real immersion in everyday Italian life in Milan. • A lively, international home where friends, colleagu...

2 Small farms turned into the one near the West Coast of Clare. We keep lots of farm animals like cattle, horses, donkeys and sheep. We produce a wide range of vegetables for ourselves and some for selling. We have two children, went to primary Steiner/ Waldorf school; Frank (25) and Fina(21) and they love having volunteers around the place. Fina is doing equine studies and Frank studies horticulture and loves travelling. We hope you have the ability to adapt to our for most of you different and simple life-style and enjoy farmwork with irregular hours at times, and you will get a true sense of farming life-style! It is important to realise beforehand that you are a volunteer who gets the opportunity to join into our family home/life so please do not compare with a regular paid job.. Most important is that you are happy and enjoy your stay with us... We offer healthy food, wonderful sunsets and rainbows, some Irish traditional music, and the possibility to learn more about old style f...

We are Axel and Mônica (both 52). We are living in Portugal and our house with 3000 squaremeters of land is in a small village in the countryside of the beautiful Algarve. We can offer accommodation (bedroom - as you can see on the picture - and separate bathroom for you) and meals of course. We need helpers in September or October for two or three weeks for some work in our garden. We prefer a couple or two friends, but if you are a single helper, you can contact us as well. Hello Potential Volunteers My name is Paul and it was my dream to change my lifestyle from being an office worker to becoming an alpaca farmer.... here we are 14 years later with 100 alpacas, each individually cherishes with names and unique personalities, plus an assortment of other animals all needing our love :) I have three children: Liam (21), Dylan (9) and Oscar (6), and our 100-acre farm is home to approx.100 alpacas, plus llamas, peacocks, hens, mini pigs, a cat named Sexy, and our farm dog Malta. This year we are expecting 20 'cria' (baby alpacas) and each one will need our help so they can thrive! We need to ensure they get colostrum (filled with antibodies and vital for good health) – have they fed from their mums within the first 24hrs? Are they then drinking enough milk from their mums every day? Are they gaining weight? The well-being of my animals is the most important thing on the farm. Do they have good food and enough water, and the best possible natural environme...

Handy volunteers needed at my ecotourism guesthouse and harbour property in north Norway. I am looking for help in autumn, especially September to November. September is the end of summer season. We have fewer guests and more time to take care of the place and to start prepare for winter. We have painting to be done both indoor and outdoor, rooms to reorganise, trees to cut and garden work to do and much more. With old buildings and outdoors to improve there is always need for handy people. My guesthouse has the sweetest rooms and a nice summer café. Here is a big quay, historical buildings, and heritage boats. We have the best view, right at the ocean edge, with panorama of the more famous Lofoten isles. To have volunteers staying here over the years, has been enjoyable experiences, and I appreciate both the help and the company. To share my place and culture with adventurous people from so many different countries is a great part of being a HelpX family. During your stay we wil...

This farm from around 1864 in Hardanger has not been run for about 30 years, and has been brought back to life by us and a bunch of volunteers .Tessa grew up in Oslo and moved here 2017, and Ander came in 2019 and is from Basque country. Ander and Tessa take care of of their newly planted apple plantation, and make apple juice and cider. We got some chickens and Ander keeps bees, and we make firewood for the house. The farm overlooks the glacier Folgefonna across the fjord. Tessa and Ander often work late. Sometimes we are social and sometimes we all need time on our own. It is therefore great if the volunteers can be self sufficient in their free time and manage to transport themselves around. So the bus is your option, and it is limited. So we are a bit isolated here. We like people that have some working skills, that they are practical and get things done in an effective way. We are looking for a couple or two friends that do not care sharing a room ( see information about room lat...

Would like an energetic couple or single person to help out with gardening, and housework. We would expect about 4-5 hours help a day in return for free accommodation and meals. Large bedroom and own bathroom. We have animals so, would prefer someone who enjoyed them being around. There are many wonderful places to explore in Hawkes Bay when you are not working. Fantastic cycle ways, tramping trips into the native bush areas, beaches and wonderful wineries. Prefer you to have your own car to get around and beable to see the region.

*IMPORTANT* You have to require a minimum 211A Single Visa to be able to volunteer with us. You can leave us a message if you believe you can and are willing to arrange the visa for yourself. We can help a bit if you need some things with the paperwork. With this visa, you can also volunteer longer in Indonesia and leave more impact:) If you are a student, an international internship visa (211B) will also do. I (Monica) started this budget learning center for everyone (the rich and especially the poor) in my hometown, Sungai Penuh, Jambi province, Indonesia (first). 2 years later, after exploring many things in life, I decided to start a Pay-As-You-Wish learning center on Lombok Island, West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. Little did I know that in a year it has grown unexpectedly great with massive support from many many people. Now we have more than 50 paid part-time teachers teaching in Lombok, Sungai Penuh, and online with more than 300 students all around Indonesia and a few of them ...

After an intense house renovation, we are now entering the final phase, focusing on cleaning and refreshing the house. From APRIL (for about one month), we are looking for help with PAINTING work inside and outside, as well as some light gardening tasks such as weeding. This period is ideal for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and likes to see visible results at the end of the day. From JUNE onwards, as the weather becomes warmer, the help will mainly consist of daily HOUSEKEEPING tasks (cleaning, ironing), with occasionally some light gardening. We’ve found that this experience works best for people who enjoy staying active and contributing in a practical way to daily life. We truly appreciate volunteers who bring positive energy, a hands-on mindset, and a genuine willingness to help. We are a Belgian family who has been living in France for over 20 years. In our late fifties, we speak French, Dutch, English, and a bit of Spanish. Our home is located in the beautiful r...

...The Quiet Retreat, a Lifestyle Property , located on the north East Coast of Tasmania , St Marys. ...!! With only the help of many hard working wwoofer's/HelpX'ers , I started to build the house and clear the land here 26 years ago, so this place is a BIG BIG credit to all my helpers who worked here with me, enjoyed their stay and left their footprint..! These days instead of my helpers assisting me , I assist my helpers LOL , usually in the morning and than we try to cook a meal , please, understand that I am not a good cook, so help there is esp. welcome, vegetarian only. I feel that for the helpers who come here, maybe, apart from the usual work, self improvement/development could be one of their priorities... a good library of books is available and some very nice music... In the past I practiced meditation/looked at Zen/Osho/Vipassana etc, I love music and most of the time there is music in the house. This is a Private Forest Reserve, 80 acre property, 7km from St M...

We are near the Shoalwater Marine Park and Penguin Island 40mins from Perth city centre. Very close to public transport, cafes and library. Ideal for beach walking, diving, swimming, cycling, fishing, sailing and windsurfing (beach is 60 metres away). Accommodation would take form of a fully insulated cute tiny garden room with access to undercover cooking area and bathroom. IT is small so please See photos. On week days we are usually working in Perth so we cant provide meals, but a well-stocked supermarket is 200 metres away. When possible we can take turns for meals if possible. We average 2/3 hours a day painting, plumbing gardening and other repairs and can negotiate best time to do that, for example maybe it’s more convenient to do two longer days during the week.Greg is usually available to help you with your car or take you fishing, boating or sightseeing if you’re willing to free him up from his other commitments. Hi there. We are a family of four, Jason, Emma, Aria and Jenson living in a beautiful part of North Canterbury on a 20 acre lifestyle block with a few cows, a few sheep, 1 horse (Katie), a big fluffy dog (Faelan) and free range chickens. Overview: We are a Tibetan Buddhist Centre that welcomes HelpX volunteers interested in learning more about meditation, Buddhism and the spiritual life. Jobs are mainly cleaning, gardening and grounds work. We offer accommodation usually in our dorm room and free attendance at classes & meditations. Volunteers are responsible for their own food - but are welcome to also use the veggies in the veggie garden (seasonal). We are a Registered Charitable Trust and rely on volunteers and donations. We do not have a large budget and are unable to provide food money to short-term volunteers. This is really a place for those that wish to learn more about Buddhism, live in our community and offer service for a short period (2 - 3 weeks). Living at a Buddhist Centre we ask you to respect the Lay Buddhist Precepts during your stay (ex. no killing, no lying, no stealing, no taking intoxicants, etc.) and be respectful of Centre residents. 4 good hours of work per day, 2 days off per week.

We produce a wide range of vegetables for ourselves and some for selling.
