Hi there Traveler We offer a farm stay with great views and good conversation. We chopped down a pine forest and replanted with Manuka about 4 years ago so it’s starting to look really great, and more native birds are about. Established a wetland reserve as well. Also we are developing another small retreat area that needs assistance with tracks and tree management. Some stock work is all so on offer but we will work with you all the time as it’s safer and more fun. cheers and safe travels Geoff and Declan

This is for those of you who plan ahead. We are full until mid August, in the middle of our best fishing season, wind permitting. Its also during what is normally our best weather. At least some of the time we should be cutting great timber from unwanted trees using a 26 inch/56cm bandsaw. So anyone who loves fishing, snorkelling on inshore reefs and is good at DIY or carpentry and loves the simple, quiet, rural life by the beach, next to the rainforest, this is for you 🤗. We appreciate help with DIY construction, repairs and maintenance, timber work, boat work, metal work repairs to trailers and for help with gardening, housekeeing, cooking, duck and chicken rearing and dog walking on the beach. Looking for assistance NOW and from late March through summer 26. We moved north from Vancouver to escape the noise and the craziness and to find a spot to live in beauty. We found one and now are on the edge of nothing but more nothing all 400 km to the Pacific. We are 20 km outside of a small town halfway between nowhere and not much. Sharing that is a pleasure. Nearly everything we do now is in support of one thrill: adventures in food. But rural living out here in mid-nowhere means that there are endless other things to be tasked as well: construction, gardening, maintenance of many sorts, enhancing the natural beauty around us. Chances are that if you could describe a pure-fun, physical job, there would be something here I could offer that might satisfy those urges. If you want to work hard, eat marvelous meals and have a fabulous time in the gardens, the workshop and the kitchen, come join us and get a relaxing feel of rural life. PLUS, for all you thrill seekers/amateurs des s...

This is a historic country homestead set in rural Central Hawke’s Bay, on Porangahau Road, surrounded by gardens, mature trees, open farmland, birdsong and big skies. Built in 1853 by the Ormond family, Wallingford is one of Hawke’s Bay’s oldest homesteads and has a wonderfully peaceful, tucked-away feeling — the sort of place where guests arrive down the driveway, exhale, and settle into country life. The homestead is run by Chris and Jeanette Stockdale, former Sydney restaurateurs who swapped city restaurant life for the joy of creating warm, generous hospitality in the country. Chris is an experienced chef with a deep love of seasonal, garden-led and locally sourced food, while Jeanette brings warmth, humour and genuine care to the front of house. Together, they create an experience that is relaxed, welcoming and full of heart. Our homestead has been described by one guest as “possibly the most welcoming place in the world,” which beautifully captures the spirit of the homestead. ...

Hi beautiful people! I’m Christine, a happy spirited former language and arts teacher working across two continents. Since I retired I work in the natural health field. I live on an urban block called The Roo‘s Pouch, where I maintain a sustainable vegetable garden and created a community of nice people living with me. I live in one of the buildings on this sunny property which runs on rainwater harvesting. We avoid chlorine and contaminates by filtering, harmonizing, and energizing our own water though Ionisation. Water conservation is part of life for me. You can come to Maryborough via plane, bus or train. The Hervey Bay Airport is only 30min from my home. There are meanwhile several bus companies to choose from. If you use the train please book Maryborough town from the drop down menu. The shuttle bus from the train station in Maryborough west (20 min out of town) is free of charge if it is pre-booked. As international travelers you qualify for a concession card on Queensland tr...

Space until 10 September. We are a family with two boys (12 and 14), living in the country-side between Auckland and Hamilton. We are a handy first or last stop as we are only 40 min from Auckland airport yet in beautiful, rural surroundings. We have chickens and a cat and 12 farm dogs at work. Within a short drive you will find stunning hikes of varying lengths - Mt William Walkway (10min away), Vivienne falls (15min away) and Hunua Ranges (30min away). We always welcome help with the house, garden and various jobs around the place. The activities vary depending on the season (harvest fruit and vegetables, AirBnb changeover, cut firewood, spring clean, gardening, painting, cut hedges, help at the local school and community events, etc). And there are ALWAYS two boys wanting to play - cards, rugby, soccer, board games, hide and seek, make fires outside. We go to town at least once a week for groceries and errands and sometimes we go to friends and help at their place for a change of...

We are a small Vietnamese family living between the city and our countryside farm in Northern Vietnam. Our parents live on the farm and take care of the garden and daily farm work. We enjoy a simple life, close to nature, and we like sharing our culture and daily life with volunteers from different countries. Volunteers help with light and varied tasks, such as: Gardening and simple farm work Helping with daily activities around the house Playing, talking, and sharing English with children Sharing meals and family time No special skills are required. We are happy to learn from each other. Helping hours, around 4–5 hours per day (5 days a week). Flexible schedule depending on weather and daily life. We believe in balance, not hard work. Volunteers stay in a simple, clean room with: Mattress and mosquito net. Shared bungalow, kitchen and bathroom. ...

AVAILABILITY FROM 8 August for one month We are an energetic family living in Sydney’s beautiful Northern beaches (Manly) with 2 children, 2 cats, 1 dog and 5 chickens. Unfortunately, I’ve just had a knee operation so am not as energetic as usual and we are looking for someone to help out around the house (inside and out) and with our crazy but loving dog and our lovely girls. ABOUT US: We love the outside lifestyle that Australia offers us and enjoy bush walking, mountain biking, running, camping and generally escaping Sydney when we can on the weekends After spending over 10 years in the corporate world as an accountant, Chris now owns his own fence business - building fences across the Northern beaches of Sydney. He enjoys working hard to meet his customers needs and utilising his love of constructing things ;) Helen is normally a personal trainer, gym instructor and head of group fitness at the gym…… yes, a vast world away from recovering from knee surgery. We have been fully vaccinated and will welcome helpers who have also been fully vaccinated. My niece and I have a scenic country home on two acres with spectacular views of rolling hills. There are excellent hiking and biking trails nearby, and beaches of Lake Simcoe are only 20 minutes away by car, one hour by bike. We will be happy to drive you there. Two bicycles and high speed WiFi is available. We have two dogs and two cats. We are located one hour north of Toronto - accessible by Go Transit to Newmarket, where we will pick you up. On your days off, we will gladly take you to Newmarket to catch the train/bus to Toronto. We can do the cooking but are happy to share the cooking, and will welcome any specialties you may have. We do not cook vegan or gluten free. If you are vegan or gluten free, then you should probably look for a different host. Also please note that this is also a no smoking, no vaping and no drugs home, and that you must have medical insurance for Canada, ...

My farm boarders the Paparoa National Park and only a few minutes walk to fantastic beaches. The spectacular Nile valley caves are only 5 minutes away. I prefer one person at a time, although will consider two and at least 1 weeks stay. I would like to have plenty of notice before you arrive. You must be Gay friendly.

NB - just in case you don't get to the end of the profile - we are vegetarian (mostly) - and we don't take picky eaters. - or smokers. We are terracing a steep section (with an amazing view), developing a fernery and planting out an orchard and native hedges. There are fantails and keruru in abundance. Though the development is sometimes hard work, it`s creative and fun. We are getting there but we could do with a bit of help from strong fit people whose knees can handle walking up and down a steep garden - usually with a load on.. We also have work repairing and painting garden furniture. We prefer hosting a couple or 2 friends who are keen gardeners - or have carpentry or brick laying skills - to help with garden maintenance. We also have a couple of hard-landscaping projects involving path construction and maintenance. Ideally, we would like people who are able to work with minimal supervision, who take pride in their work and want to do a job well, who are self-motivated, have ...

Greetings and G'day! We are Peter and Dora, and we are ready and very happy to welcome you to our humble home from 1st of May 2026. We live in a 2-bedroom home that sits on approximately 4,600 sqm in the Northern Beaches in Clifton Beach. Our nearby suburbs of Palm Cove and Ellis Beach are more tourist-orientated, and Kewarra Beach and Trinity Beach to the south are more residential. Our suburb is very quiet and peaceful. Our property is not a farm but a large garden with an orchard and a vegetable patch included. We have many tasks to complete on our property, and most are in the garde...

Animal Rescue and Sanctuary and Organic Vegan Farm in Central Costa Rica Hello everyone! What we do: We take care of animals, we grow organic food, we prepare and eat tasty vegan meals, we minimize our impact on the earth, and we enjoy the company of our Costa Rican friends and neighbors. We have run a volunteer program for over 18 years, and have had several hundred people come to work with us! Our farm is primarily an animal rescue, rehab and sanctuary. Our doors are open to animals in need. We currently have five rescue dogs, five goats, a pig, a horse, one cat, and two water buffalos. Some came off the streets, some were abandoned, others were injured and no longer wanted. We adopt out what we can, but most are retired and happy to live their lives on the farm. The 3.5 hectare property is covered with many tropical fruit trees, including water apple, mandarin orange, banana (many varieties), guayaba, guanabana, cas, caimito, lime, nance, coffee and araza. Depending on the se...

Hi, my name is Mary. I live on the border of NSW and Victoria, a town called Albury. There is a train service to Albury from Sydney about 9 hours and Melbourne about 5 hours train trip. I am happy to pick someone from the Albury railway station. Albury is a pretty town on the Hume Highway. It is inland on the Murray River and there are a lot of local attractions, vineyards, historical small towns, snow fields and many more, only a few hours drive. I am located in town, with the railway station and the airport not too far, about 15minutes drive. I am fully vaccinated and require the same of a helper. I only take Non-smokers (meaning you do not smoke at all, outside as well). Currently I am asking for 2.5hrs a day for board only. You can cook for yourselves, buy supplies locally and after cooking clean your area. I would like help with the garden and other general duties around the house, such as cleaning. If you are travelling this way, either going to Melbourne or locally and can hel...

We welcome helpers during busy periods on our family run farm, which is located 2.5 hours south of Perth. We are currently looking for up to two helpx helpers for the last week of August and first two weeks of September, to help with the busy lamb marking and crutching period. We have ~10 000 sheep and 750ha of crops. Our three very friendly sheep dogs work with us, but they're not able to do all jobs, no matter how willing they are :D If you're fit, practical and don't mind getting your hands dirty, we'd welcome your company. Our homestead has been described by one guest as “possibly the most welcoming place in the world,” which beautifully captures the spirit of the homestead. ...

Our local town of Moruya, has a fabulous, award winning Farmers Market which operates every Tuesday afternoon.
