Namaste! Thank you for stopping by. :-) I hope you will join me on my journey for a month, 2 months, or long-term. I have a pair of picturesque, riverfront hobby farms, each with a large 4-bedroom house. I am transitioning the farms to more of a communal space. There are three acres of wild blueberries that I am currently converingt to organic production, six acres of pasture, and about eight acres of woods that provide more than enough firewood to heat both homes without having to clear-cut any areas. I have a small herd of alpacas and an even smaller flock of chickens, whom I allow to free range. We harvest a small portion of our food from the property, and my vision is to increase that slowly and steadily every year. For a long-term (and possibly lifetime) stay, I would particularly interested in these 3 individuals: 1. Someone to manage the livestock, including monthly shots for the alpacas 2. Someone to process and market the alpaca fibre 3. Someone to manage the little antiq...

We are a family run home, perfect for the 1st time volunteer. Natural horsemanship is a real factor here if you want to learn more. Our mentors being Buck Brannaman, Steve Halfpenny and Ken Falkner. A safe environment for your 1st time away from home. You do not need any knowledge of horses but you do need to love dogs, they are a major part of the family and are constantly with us all 8 of them, dalmations, vizslas and 2 weimararners, and they do jump all over you. Constant appaloosas is a small holding where we breed and train horses for ourselves and occasionally others. We have help exchange programs running throughout the year for interested students of all ages. Vet students get a really good grounding here. What we expect from you, conduct yourself in an open and friendly manner, engage in all aspects of life on the farm and seize all opportunities with enthusiasm, avoid rude and disrespectful behaviour to people horses and dogs. We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. Please note, we cannot host anyone with any pre existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions). We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our doorstep, hiking trails through the mountains and forests, cycling paths, and skiing in the...

You will like it here! In February we need help in our garden with shredding and sawing branches, stacking wood and so on. We are a little unconventional community of 4 persons (66,65,71,74), 1 friendly dog and 2 playful cats and we live in a cosy house surrounded by a garden. Our children are on their own, but they sometimes visit us. We raise our own organic vegetables in several raised beds and normal garden beds. There is always something to do in the garden and around the house or walking the dog, cleaning windows and so on... We live in a small rural village in the beautiful hills of the "Odenwald". Our village is located roughly between Heidelberg and Frankfurt, also Mannheim and Darmstadt can be visited easily. There is a good public transportation to all these cities. The Odenwald is a famous hiking region and ideal for mountain biking, a bike is available. There is a climbing rock not far from our house. We speak English quite fluently and some French. There are several me...

My friend bought this beautiful old farm in Bjarnarfjordur witch is in the west fjords of Iceland And the westfjords were selected as top destination in the world by Lonely Planet for 2022 No one has lived there for the last 20 years so there’s plenty of things to do Mainly it’s taking care of the eiderducks (put up flags and scarecrows to keep the artic fox and seagulls away from the area) The eider nests on small islands close to the farm so we will need to take a boat or a kayak and row to the islands After the nesting season we pick up the down that they left in the nest And another thing is feeding the rainbow trout that we will be farming in tanks on land Also we have to paint and fix the old house We have our own geothermal hole that produces lots of hot water Even though it’s seems remote it’s only 35km to the next town Hòlmavík where there’s a supermarket, bank and basically everything you need From June to October we are doing whale watching trips from Hólmavík and mo...

Our farm is in the mountains of Lares, a rural region in the center of the Caribbean Island of Puerto Rico. A town well known for the rebellion insurgency called "El Grito de Lares", also well known for the coffee plantations and the culinary festivities. Lares has great rivers, beautiful sceneries and nice climate. In this great countryside we manage an agricultural, educational and community project, Proyecto Agroecológico Campesino/PAC. For this we work in the transformation of two acres, in an integral farm where combines crop production, animal husbandry, resource management, restoration of soil and ecosystems, inspired by the agroecological principles. I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

Hi everyone! We are a couple with one child and expecting another one. We live in the countryside of our beautiful Garrotxa. We live in a farmhouse near the town (we can go walking). There are chickens here and some times of the year also cows. The forest is the backyard. There are beautiful views of the town and the valley from home. The house is very big and well accommodated. You'll have your own room and bathroom. And there are two living rooms. The town is really friendly. We collaborate in a creative workshop where you can go and do all the activities you can imagine. There is other people there with their projects and the aim is to share knowledge. For exemple, I sewed a guest wedding dress with their help. Others work with yarn, silk, clay, papers and crafts. There is also a theatre group. They played a comedy, then a touching serious play and last summer they played microtheatre. We performed one! It was embarrasing but very enriching. Dear Friendly People, My name is Böbe and I'm a Dutch and English speaking Hungarian teacher. I moved from Hungary to Spain with my 2 dogs and 5 cats on the 23rd May, 2025. Forever. I've chosen "Animals " because 2026 Winter/ Spring i would like to go to Hungary for a thermal bath treatment with my Lovely Geir for 2-3 weeks. In that period of time someone else has to take care of my animals. Not only to feed them but also to walk two times a day with the dogs. Pet sitting. Of course without finding the right person we stay at home. If you think that you're the perfect person, let me know! 💕 I left my home country because without helpers I couldn't managed that big farm of 1.5 Ha. Luckily I could give enough accommodation and food, so sometimes there were enough company to help. I appreciated that very much, that's why I continue asking helpers to come to us. And nowadays here's not so much to do and even less space to give. And then what can we offer: an independent apartment...

We are a small-scale, organic vegetable farm in Palmer, Alaska. We grow an array of beautiful produce which includes carrots, tomatoes, strawberries, zucchini, brussel sprouts, romanesco, broccoli, potatoes, rhubarb, onions, beets, and many more. All of the vegetables we sell at local farmers markets are grown by us and are free of pesticides, GMOs, and chemicals. We not only believe that people should feel connected to their food, but we also feel that it should be delicious, healthy, and accessible. Work on the farm varies by season. In the Spring we spend our time prepping the field, sewing seeds, growing transplants, cultivating those seeds in the field, weeding, and watering. As we move into summer and fall helpers will have the opportunity to harvest and sell the fruits and vegetables that have been growing the past few months at the local farmers’ markets.

Hello travelers, my name is Abidine Al-Boudani. I live with my family in a small town called Tagounite in the southeast of Morocco. Our family only settled during the middle of the last century, originally we descend from nomads, but have made a home in the Daraa Valley now. In walking distance to our house we have an organic farm, a 50 year old heritage from when my grandfathers settled down here. The farm is a beautiful place for anyone - be it people coming by themselves, friends, couples, families, pets - to spend an enjoyable time, connecting with the nature of the desert. ~ACCOMODATION~ Volunteers with tents can pitch them in the garden. Some families who come with a motorhome, truck and vehicles have the option to park right next to it. Currently an insulated tent is being constructed next to the garden house, which is also in progress. This accommodation will offer a more quiet environment than the family house, but comes with no bathroom yet at this point. If people need ...

Hello! We’re a small family - Matt, Tash and our baby girl Toni. We live on a relaxed 10 acre hobby farm with our two friendly dogs, sheep and chickens. We are located just 12 minutes from Warrnambool and Koroit, and about 25 minutes from Port Fairy. We’re surrounded by beaches and volcanic countryside. We’re looking for a helping hand around the property and in the garden with jobs like weeding, raking, planting, chainsawing (if experienced) and general maintenance around the garden and house. Most of the work is outdoors and can be quite physical, so it suits someone active with a positive, can do attitude. You’ll stay in either our spare room in our house, loft room in shed, or a fully equipped caravan, depending on availability. You’ll have access to Wi-Fi, all the usual amenities, a pool to cool down in and a theatre room to relax in during your downtime. We provide breakfast, lunch and dinner and healthy snacks. Helping time can be up to 4 hours a day, sometimes a bit less,...

One thing I can advise helpers who want to get a placement with any host is to have at least one PICTURE of YOURSELF. Just as you like to "see" who and where you are coming, hosts like to see who they are opening their home to. It's almost winter now, so we won't be working outside. I need someone right away to help with small handyman jobs or selling online eg: eBay, marketplace etc. Knowledge of Carpentry and Plumbing are always appreciated. Car mechanics are always helpful. I would really appreciate someone who can do handyman jobs and wants to come for a week or two. I sell things online and on eBay and would love someone who is good at writing descriptions in English. I have a large house and property in a diverse area of Staten Island, New York that I`m always working on. I plant a vegetable garden in the spring using the square foot gardening method. A friend and I rebuilt the whole house on the inside including jacking it up and replacing the foundation, sills and beams ...

*English version at bottom* Bonjour chers helpers! We extend a warm invitation to join us on our farm this spring. We have availability from March into April — a beautiful time of year here, when everything is waking up again and the island feels full of fresh energy. Please inquire for availability during other times of the year. It’s a lovely chance to slow down, breathe, and really feel nature all around you. We’re right by the seaside, so you can live close to the water, enjoy the long light, and settle into the rhythm of rural coastal life. There’s always plenty to learn and experience here, and we’re delighted to welcome helpers who enjoy great scenery, good purpose, and a peaceful place to land for a while. If the timing suits you, we’d be very happy to host you and if you already have some farm experience or any prior experience with ponies/horses we especially welcome you!

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. Minimum stay is two weeks. Help needed in April planting trees and preparing soil for planting and sowing seeds. Would like to learn more German so help with that would be good. Looking out for 3-D artists to make an addition to our sculpture trail in the woods! We are now growing more vegetables and have some Hebridean sheep and a few chickens. Springtime is preparation for the summer and some tree planting. In July we need help picking fruit (raspberries and cherries) so half your time will be spent picking fruit or foraging and the other half will vary. Please state in your application that you are fine with this. We have a farm that has been converted mostly into trees ages 20 - 35 years ago that need maintenance. This involves pruning the trees and planting new ones and weeding round the trees. We also try to develop the flora in the woods by planting wild flowers and useful forest edible plants. There are lots of other projects depending on the time of year and carpentry skills...

Hi, I’m Annie :) Thanks for stopping by! Looking for help *** from now through February, 1 wk - 10 days work for a couple *** At the moment I'm looking for help with Spring cleaning in the house and garden work; mulching, light pruning, fertlising, tidying up garden and some indoor/ outdoor house work. My home is in Dunsborough, part of the famous Margaret River Wine region in the South-West of Western Australia. Dunsborough is a beautiful, quiet coastal town, with great facilities. A room is available for your homestay. Because of the help I would like to ask, mature ladies who have enough experience/knowledge of handling house holding chores and cooking are welcome. No problem if you cannot cook Japanese dishes. Vegetarian is welcome only from summer to autumn. It's easy to talk about next step of your homestay if how long from when, how you can help, what you want to do during homestay in addition to help works are written in your request. I will reply to only applicants who read my profile and understand/satisfy requirements. I'm a 67 years old male living alone and have a small private organic vegetable garden. I am happy if someone can help me to maintain vegetable garden and household chores including cooking. I also can enjoy helping my guest to learn Japanese language. We can visit at sightseeing places/aesthetic landscape when we have free time. At the same time, I'm interested to hear your stories about helpx and learn foreign languages as well ...

For chistmas there are christmas carols ...
