I have need of someone to help with gardening there is a lot to do and need you to like the outdoor life. I can lend you an old coat and gardening gloves for this. I am a strictly non smoking place both inside and out. Smokers including those who vape, will be asked to leave. I take in rescue dogs and then rehome when they are ready, you definitely need to like animals I have had people come who have an allergy to animal hair and dust. This is a farm atmosphere so dirt, dust and animal hair are normal here. I ask for five full hours a day please. The South West of England is a lovely area in the country close to Dartmoor National Park and also the Devon/Cornwall border, very scenic a couple of miles from Dartmoor National Park. 2km away there is a huge supermarket which sells everything from food to washing machines, it is open until midnight except for Sunday when it has reduced. I am in the country one mile from the nearest public transport to Plymouth, 7 miles away, whi...

Animal Rescue and Sanctuary and Organic Vegan Farm in Central Costa Rica Hello everyone! What we do: We take care of animals, we grow organic food, we prepare and eat tasty vegan meals, we minimize our impact on the earth, and we enjoy the company of our Costa Rican friends and neighbors. We have run a volunteer program for over 18 years, and have had several hundred people come to work with us! Our farm is primarily an animal rescue, rehab and sanctuary. Our doors are open to animals in need. We currently have five rescue dogs, six goats, a pig, a horse, two cats, and two water buffalos. Some came off the streets, some were abandoned, others were injured and no longer wanted. We adopt out what we can, but most are retired and happy to live their lives on the farm. The 3.5 hectare property is covered with many tropical fruit trees, including water apple, mandarin orange, banana (many varieties), guayaba, guanabana, cas, caimito, lime, nance, coffee and araza. Depending on the se...

Our Place is a cultural association and a meditation center as well as a space for personal growth groups. It includes a small biological farm of 6 hectares situated in Tuscany at the foot of the Macchia della Magona and is 7 kms away from the sea along the wine route to Bolgheri. The main activities are the meditation center and farming. Often we are a group of friends who wish to live together in harmony, friendship and meditation. We are 2 people sharing the place with many friends helping. It is a beautiful nature spot. We produce olive oil, jam, herb salt and firewood for our own consumption. Your help is needed all year round, in springtime for the pruning of 250 olive trees and 50 fruit trees and in autumn for the harvest of the olives. We are tending a herb garden and produce every year marmalades, mainly figs. In the colder season, we are cutting firewood in the forest for heating the houses. Our beautiful park with ancient trees needs some grass cutting. Further jobs to be do...

We live in a fun share house in Maryborough, Marry Poppins Town, with awesome meals and a big edible garden. We're Mars, the owner of the property and Tracy, a former theatre/restaurant owner who's cooking the most awesome meals and looking after everyone like a mum. There're 2 adorable dogs in the family, so you must be a dog lover. Also 6 chicken and 2 ducks, so we always have fresh eggs. We need help with building and creating, and with an awesome but overgrown edible garden. We're about to put 12v solar power into the rooms, also natural air-conditioning and are finishing up the spa bath in the 2nd bathroom... so there's a bit for you to learn and lots of knowledge to take home. We like to work with fun and laughter and love to see you letting a bit of your craziness out. Be yourself and join the family... We have had awesome experiences with travellers so far 😃. Please note that there's a minimum of 1 week stay, we do not like to be used as a pit stop. There's no maximum s...

If you are a CAT lover, we need some help with our Non-Profit Cat Sanctuary for hybrid cats, small exotic cats and domestic cats. We also have a horse/people coaching barn if you are interested in horses! Tasks required for our cats entail feeding, care, grooming, playing and interacting with select felines as well as helping to maintain and build their living areas. Being on our farm with horses and cats requires ongoing upkeep of landscaping and general farm care and improvement such as mowing, trimming trees or building fences, gardening, painting, raking etc. We welcome new ideas! We are way out in the country, not close to a city or bus transport and contact with people is minimum unless you have your own vehicle to explore. We do make regular trips to town for groceries and shopping if you do not have a vehicle. Chores are done early in the morning and late in the afternoon, so you must be able to get up and get going with a positive attitude to greet all the hungry cats! Any p...

This is a language cafe is designed for those who are willing to meet Korean locals and the ones from overseas. We provide them with the time and the place to meet and get to know each other while have conversations in English. I know from my experience that travelling or staying in other countries is not just doing sightseeing but experiencing the real life there. Here we try to bond them together as friends. If you are looking for something that can give you a chance to meet locals and to be mingled with them, this would be the best option for you. This is an exciting opportunity to have an experience that will stay with you throughout your life. Our Foundation aims at helping rural children receive a qualitative outstanding education. We have a volunteer teaching program to assist rural teachers and children get exposure to foreign languages and cultures. Because English is the second language in Thai schools, we concentrate on improving the English language skills of both rural teachers and children. At present, we aim to help 4 public elementary schools (grades 1 - 6) close to Chiang Mai. We are currently taking applications for volunteers who would available to start sometime between now and the end of June and commit to at least 8 weeks . We are looking for volunteers to teach English only. Couples are welcome as well. NOTE: We do not charge volunteers any fees for staying with us. A room is available for your homestay. Because of the help I would like to ask, mature ladies who have enough experience/knowledge of handling house holding chores and cooking are welcome. No problem if you cannot cook Japanese dishes. Vegetarian is welcome only from summer to autumn. It's easy to talk about next step of your homestay if how long from when, how you can help, what you want to do during homestay in addition to help works are written in your request. I will reply to only applicants who read my profile and understand/satisfy requirements. I'm a 67 years old male living alone and have a small private organic vegetable garden. I am happy if someone can help me to maintain vegetable garden and household chores including cooking. I also can enjoy helping my guest to learn Japanese language. We can visit at sightseeing places/aesthetic landscape when we have free time. At the same time, I'm interested to hear your stories about helpx and learn foreign languages as well ...

I am looking for people that are passionate about dogs and like to spend time and work with dogs. A pack of 24 huskies is something different than having a pet dog at home. You will be able to join our animal assisted programs with kids and young adults and learn about it. I am educated in dog physiotherapy as well and there is the possibility to learn in this field as well. Beside the main topic the huskies we have bee hives and produce our own honey. There is a big garden with fruits and vegetables that needs maintainance. To sum it up our work here is mainly outdoors with nature and animals. Every day is different so its not possible to give you a long term daily structure in advance. There are some everyday tasks in the dogcare but the rest of the work depends on the weather and the season. As we live in a small village the main freetime activities are biking and hiking. More freetime options you find in cities around in your days off. Vienna is quite close and its possible to ta...

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. Dear friends and volunteers, after an intensive harvest season supported by many energetic, sympathetic and impressing helpers, we are keeping countless positive memories. Now we are back from our winter laeave, and ready for the next season! Winter storms caused a lot of damage. Therefore we are in need for helping hands on the field to prune the olive trees, cut the grass, and also to repair the solar system. Moreover, our boat crashed the quay wall, but it luckily didn´t sink. But we have to take it out, do a lot of grinding, plastering and painting before it will be ready for the next boat ride. In addition, some maintenance has to be done in and around the house and the court yard. You don´t have to have any special knowledge or skills, we are happy about anyone with energy and supporting us while spreading good mood. So don't hesitate to contact us when you are around, or you want to stay with us, helping for a minimum of 10 days, preferable around 2 weeks. Please keep in min...

We would prefer a couple, or two friends but a single person is welcomed to apply too, who can help with looking after our home and garden... What we are looking for at the moment is some help with cleaning, cooking, gardening and general DIY as we will be doing quite a bit of renovating our cabins. We have space now for a minimum of two weeks up to 5 months for the right people. A bit about us: We are a family of 4 and Brew our cat (this includes a new baby who joined us in November last year.) with other adult children popping in from time to time. We are living in a beautiful part of Devon, at the edge of fields and stunning views but very close to Totnes, one of the most alternative towns in the UK. We are involved in holistic work with families, from pregnancy onwards. In exchange for 15 hours of work a week per person w...

We.previously lived in Boreen Point on the Sunshine Coast where we hosted many helpers through helpx with amazing reviews over a period of 17years.. Most never wanted to leave. We have now moved and bought an equally stunning property in Far North Queensland in a small country town (Cardwell) on 3 acres 10 minutes from beach. We are located between Cairns and Townsville and just south of Mission Beach. Terry and I are not as young as we used to be and are struggling with maintaining the property. We need help for 4hours a day, with weeding, mulching, pruning and watering the gardens and general house cleaning. We back onto tropical rainforest and creek. Help around the inside of property would also be helpful. You will have your own bedroom and own bathroom (1 queen for couples and 2 queens for singles). The fridge will be stocked for you to prepare your own breakfast and lunch and we all sit together for evening meals which I will prepare. There are many stunning waterfalls and walk...

We are a certified organic farm operating since 2004 and producing mostly a wide diversity of seed crops as well as Spring and Fall vegetable starts, soft fruit plants, and many native plants. We now have 260 +different seed varieties, including kale, tomatoes and many new potato varieties that we have bred and selected here - very exciting. We have even created 2 new apple varieties and a berry! Our preference is for helpers who will stay a minimum of 2-4 weeks and ideally longer, as it takes a lot of our time to train someone to work well with these seed crops in the greenhouses and gardens. The farm has a nicer feel when folks stay for longer and we all get to know each other and have the time to enjoy working as a team. If you are a helper who has some farming experience, or who is passionate about working with plants, and you will apply the learning that you do here in your own future farming we'd especially love to hear from you! Hello Potential Volunteers My name is Paul and it was my dream to change my lifestyle from being an office worker to becoming an alpaca farmer.... here we are 14 years later with 100 alpacas, each individually cherishes with names and unique personalities, plus an assortment of other animals all needing our love :) I have three children: Liam (21), Dylan (9) and Oscar (6), and our 100-acre farm is home to approx.100 alpacas, plus llamas, peacocks, hens, mini pigs, a cat named Sexy, and our farm dog Malta. This year we are expecting 20 'cria' (baby alpacas) and each one will need our help so they can thrive! We need to ensure they get colostrum (filled with antibodies and vital for good health) – have they fed from their mums within the first 24hrs? Are they then drinking enough milk from their mums every day? Are they gaining weight? The well-being of my animals is the most important thing on the farm. Do they have good food and enough water, and the best possible natural environme...

This is a Standardbred Race Horse (Harness Racing) farm at the foot of Tamborine Mountain. Located 45 minutes from Brisbane in the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland. The closest train station is Beenleigh. Your own car is a plus. We welcome working holiday visa holders with good horse experience and most importantly a passion for horses !! In order to learn your daily task, routine and horses personalities, we will ask you to stay a minimum of 3 weeks. Long stays are really welcome. Your role on the farm would be helping with the daily care of our racehorses. It's an everyday job starting depending of the sun (4.30am in summer and later on winter time). We start each morning training the horses, washing them and feeding them. All the retired horses need to be feed and watered as well. We need to feed and water all the horses again each night before dark. The ideal helpers will be positive, willing and with a some decent english. Update: we have an available slot for 3+ weeks from mid-July (probably around 17th/20th) to 11th August. We are then looking for a helper for 4-5 weeks from 22 September through to the end of October. Please read the listing fully. My husband and I live in a beautiful, listed, 100 year old house in a lovely part of Scotland. We are surrounded by rural countryside, but well located for exploring much of Scotland and are walking distance from the small rural town (more like a village) of Alyth which has a few shops, cafes and a good bus service. There are lovely walks from the house as well as further afield and we can sometimes lend a bike to use for exploring (but it is quite hilly round here for cycling). Both Dundee and Perth are easy to reach on the bus, with St Andrews just a little further away, also accessible by public transport. Wildlife in the area include red squirrels (in the garden), deer, beavers and buzzards. Our house was a project when we purchased it in 2018, so ...

We have been living on our property in the heart of Gascony for two years. Our family also includes 3 dogs and 6 chickens that we rescued. We are looking for a single person or couple who enjoys helping out, whether in the garden or with renovations (painting walls, laying parquet flooring, tidying up, etc.). We need help 3 hours per day. My husband and I are vegan/vegetarian. We provide the renovated holiday home. The property also features a pond and a natural swimming pool. Anyone who loves nature will appreciate our peaceful retreat. The nearest small town is a 10-minute drive away. Many events take place in the region during spring, summer and autumn. There is no public transport nearby. However, the hiking trail is right outside the door.

We're happy to share our life with people who wants to do new experience helping in our farm. We are supporters of organic agriculture since 1996 and we need your help to keep on in it . Vietri di Potenza is a very small village in Basilicata quiet and far from any kind of pollution. No tourism here but not far from Naples (Costiera Amalfitana) and Matera (European Capital of Culture 2019). You need one or two hours by car to visit the great places you can see in the Francis Coppola youtube video below. Francesco, my husband, and me look for help all year long especially during olive harvest on November, during the spring helping with pruning, from June with "potatura estiva" (summer pruning olives trees) and our organic garden needs help to grow as well. We are professional tasters of Extravergine d’Oliva , Evoo, so we're happy to share this knowledge with our helpers. Because our activities follow the rhythm of nature, we cannot set fixed working hours — the day adapts to weather ...

*** Visitors stay a 'minimum of 1 week', which can be extended, to 2-4 weeks, if everyone is happy :) *** * Critical thinkers and creative individuals are particularly welcome here. We take immense pleasure in working alongside 'Open Minds', who hold contemporary planetary and social concerns, and seek to rise their consciousness as 'individuals'. Individuals who have independently studied, subjects such as Transhumanism, Mass formation, and the Psychology of Totalitarianism, would benefit from their experience here. Side by side, with daily physical tasks, this would ensure clear thinking individuals', full appreciation of our practice, and would bring more meaning, peace and happiness into their lives.

About the program : This is about the language practice and sharing their cultures, experiences and the thoughts. As long as you are an easygoing person to talk, open-minded and fluent in English, you can join us. As we are NOT looking for English teachers, it really doesn't matter which country you're from and you don't have to teach but have a conversation in English. And basically it is a 2 way conversation so you don't have to ta...
