Come to share this human experience with us in the middle of the Peruvian jungle! We started to build our Eco Lodge in the Amazonas, at the edge of a river, with volunteers from all around the world and locals. All kinds of help in Ecology, gardening, cleaning, reforestation, organic crops or cooking vegetarian meals is welcome. You will work 5h per day (from 7am to 12) and then you will be free to go to the river, to play volleyball, football, canoe/kayak or just to relax in the amazon jungle. If you enjoy solitude, working without a boss, are energetic and in good physical condition, the jungle is the place for you ! Come join us in Iquitos, to partic...

Our dream is to create an egalitarian intentional community of 100–150 people in Peru, inspired by Twin Oaks in the USA and Tamera in Portugal. In this blog, we’ll share our plans and what we’re learning, inviting others to join us in our search for a different way of life. We’ll work to minimise inequalities between our members (e.g., based on economy, class, race, age, and gender) and create a space for personal and collective transformation, cultivating healthier, more intimate, and more honest relationships. We’ll start from our shared needs and potential as human beings, building a regenerative culture in which we can live more fully while protecting our environment. Right now we're setting up businesses to generate income for the project, with a focus on soaps and cosmetics, and we'd love to teach you what we've learned so far! We have a small garden and a couple of ongoing construction projects (a composting loo and an outdoor shower). We would also welcome help with making th...

Our beautiful mountainside home is just 10 minutes from Bellingen, a small vibrant community of creatives, environmentalists, and dairy farmers on the mid north coast of NSW. The city of Coffs harbours is just 30 minutes away. Bellingen is half way between Sydney and Brisbane. We are a middle aged couple who have travelled extensively both in Australia and internationally. We have 5 adult children and are ourselves both from large diverse families. We aren’t certified organic as we don’t sell produce, just grow food for self consumption and sharing. However we grow everything organically. One thing I can advise helpers who want to get a placement with any host is to have at least one PICTURE of YOURSELF. Just as you like to "see" who and where you are coming, hosts like to see who they are opening their home to. It's going into Summer now, so we need lots of outdoor help getting the property and garden cleaned up after such a long and hard winter. I need someone right away to help with small handyman jobs or selling online eg: eBay, marketplace etc. Knowledge of Carpentry and Plumbing are always appreciated. Car mechanics are always helpful. I would really appreciate someone who can do handyman jobs and wants to come for a week or two. I sell things online and on eBay and would love someone who is good at online selling in English. I have a large house and property in a diverse area of Staten Island, New York that I`m always working on. I plant a vegetable garden in the spring using the square foot gardening method. A friend and I rebuilt the whole house on the i...

We are originally a family of 6, I, Carina, my four daughters and my husband, Pär. Since last year all girls have, more or less, left home for further studies. My beloved Pär died 2018 after a long time with sickness. We started to welcome HelpXers to our Uddevalla home 2014 and since then we have met so many interesting, wonderful, helpful, caring and skilled people - men and women, boys and girls, who in different ways have helped us with various practical matters, but also contributed to increase our understanding of the world and letting us become their friends - in many cases, I believe, for life! I have promised Pär to keep and care for his old home in Grundsund and it is my hope to be able to. We have, therefore, two properties to welcome you to! We offer accommodation (your own room) in one of our two homes, food and friendship in exchange for some practical help. Both indoor and outdoor help is needed and you should be prepared to do some household work as well. Most help ...

(La description en français se trouve plus bas !) We are a small Buddhist community living in the forest close to Sainte-Julienne, Quebec. We have an organic fruit tree nursery, along with many other projects on our land: several fruit orchards, chickens and bees, growing our own vegetables and herbs and trying to be independent in many ways. The six people who are staying are: Ajan, Eric, Veronique, Elisabeth, Natalie and Camille. Each of us have arrived here one by one, at first just interested in helping out in the place, and then as we found that this lifestyle was for us, deciding to stay for longer. For part of the year we also have a couple of employees staying with us. There is also a wonderful dog named Dali. Our organic nursery and garden occupies a land of 9 hectares, surrounded by forest. As well as the main land of the nursery, we have another smaller land where a few of us live. This is, in fact, where the community started to grow from very small beginnings in the ear...

NB - just in case you don't get to the end of the profile - we are vegetarian (mostly) - and we don't take picky eaters. - or smokers. We are terracing a steep section (with an amazing view), developing a fernery and planting out an orchard and native hedges. There are fantails and keruru in abundance. Though the development is sometimes hard work, it`s creative and fun. We are getting there but we could do with a bit of help from strong fit people whose knees can handle walking up and down a steep garden - usually with a load on.. We also have work repairing and painting garden furniture. We prefer hosting a couple or 2 friends who are keen gardeners - or have carpentry or brick laying skills - to help with garden maintenance. We also have a couple of hard-landscaping projects involving path construction and maintenance. Ideally, we would like people who are able to work with minimal supervision, who take pride in their work and want to do a job well, who are self-motivated, have ...

My husband Matthias and I, Johanna, came from Germany as backpackers in the 1980s. We met here in NZ, but our home language is German. We are a family with eight children, who we home-educated throughout their school years. Three of them are now married, and we have five grandchildren. Five of our now grown-up children are living at home - either still or again - our oldest son with his wife and 4 boys is living in our cottage, and another son with his wife and baby has moved into a smaller house on our property. A friend lives in our housetruck. So life is happening to the full! Sadly, my husband passed away in January 2024 after a short time of intense illness. We miss him much! Our lifestyle block is home to a gaggle of geese, a flock of domestic ducks, around 40 chickens, some sheep and sometimes a few young male goats, - and of course many wild birds, rabbits and the tiny creatures of fields, woods and duck-pond. An old apple, apricot and peach orchard and a young walnut grove ar...

Hi there Traveler We offer a farm stay with great views and good conversation. We chopped down a pine forest and replanted with Manuka about 4 years ago so it’s starting to look really great, and more native birds are about. Established a wetland reserve as well. Also we are developing another small retreat area that needs assistance with tracks and tree management. Some stock work is all so on offer but we will work with you all the time as it’s safer and more fun. cheers and safe travels Geoff and Declan

Hi! We are Aga and Gaia, and we're welcoming people into our home in a small mountain village in Northern Italy. If you're looking for a meaningful exchange, a slower rhythm of life, and a chance to spend time close to nature, we'd love to hear from you. Aga is a psychotherapist and retreat facilitator and lover of all things soulful and meaningful. Gaia has a background in regenerative design, permaculture, and conscious events. Between us, we have spent many years involved in community, ecological, and transformational projects around the world. We live in a small ancient village in the Apennine mountains of Northern Italy, where we are now creating a simple and beautiful life close to nature. While we are nurturing a longer-term vision of a regenerative Temple Village rooted in connection, creativity, and conscious living, what we are offering today is much more personal: a chance to share our home, our daily life, and this early stage of the journey of building a community. Life...
