We are Said (36) from the Sahara and Linde (33) from the Netherlands. It is our pleasure to meet you here in Project Bani Hayoune Garden! Said comes from a big Amazigh-Tuareg family. After growing up in the Sahara desert and living many years a nomadic life, his family settled down in a village called Tagounite. Now Said lives next to the small village Beni Hayoun, 4 kilometers outside Tagounite. Here, we are working on recovering 200-year old adobe house. Behind the house there is a large garden which needs a lot of care and work. Our aim is to make the land green again, bring the oasis life back and to grow enough food for us and for the community. Linde is an artist from the Netherlands & Denmark and also co-founder of the project. Her past experience includes working in Waldorf kindergartens, creating workshops with children and families in a refugee center, and caring for people in homes for the disabled. While living in the project & house for most of the year, Linde helps in ...

Namaste! Welcome to our farm and family. We are established as small organic farmers with our parents since 1995, working with Himalayan Permaculture Center based in Surkhet (western part of Nepal). We are a permaculture family with two generation, three of us have our PDC but we are all invested in our land. We are five and three of us speak quite good English but our parent English is simpler, so you will learn some Nepali! If you want to discover the traditional Nepali lifestyle and learn about culture and festival in the Katmandu valley, and also in the same time learn and share your knowledge about permaculture, you are at the good place! Only fifteen minutes by taxi from Thamel (you can also come by bus). You are more than welcome in this nice place that looks like a village. On our land, we grow many different classic vegetables (Tomato, cucumber, peas, potato, onion, garlic…) and we also grow some cereals (wheat, rice…) using Fukuoka system(No Tilling Farming) and System of R...

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

Hello, We are a family who have been living in Brittany for a little over a year, specifically on Cap Sizun, west of Douarnenez. We are on a 65 acre farm in North Pope County, Illinois and are virtually surrounded by the Shawnee National Forest. Having been on this farm for ten years, we are still developing infrastructure and are continuing to plant in the orchard and various berries as well as establishing and expanding garden and crop areas. We are a GMO, herbicide and pesticide free farm in all of our outdoor areas. As we are far away from "modern agricultural" property, we feel that we should have no problems with cross pollination of our crops with GMO's or damage/exposure from/to ag chemicals. There are many projects currently in process or in the planning stages. This summer/fall we hope to get new water and electric lines ran to all the barns and the greenhouse as well as get a fiber studio framed in and get the finishing touches on the greenhouses. Tasks on the farm are endless, so there are always things to do year round. Clearing brush, cutting wood, building fence, baling hay, sawing lumber, ...

We have bought a castle in the middle of the forrest in order to distance ourselves from current society and live our lives with nature. During the period of last 10 years we increased the standard of living and made it quite comfortable. Most important we managed to help lots of people world wide. Last 3 years we have been focused in helping refugees from Ukraine and supporting people there. Now we need some brake from war and will be focusing into meeting new people. We can offer short up to a month long stays during which you can meet the team and our projects. If you like it here and manage to impress us (we click) we can offer longer involvement. Be aware that we work hard, party hard and that on a quiet day we see something wrong in the world so we decide to go fix it. This Helpx host is something you have never experienced before :) If you would like to experience of living isolated far in the forest, working with your hands or behind of computer this is a place for you. We ar...

One thing I can advise helpers who want to get a placement with any host is to have at least one PICTURE of YOURSELF. Just as you like to "see" who and where you are coming, hosts like to see who they are opening their home to. It's almost winter now, so we won't be working outside. I need someone right away to help with small handyman jobs or selling online eg: eBay, marketplace etc. Knowledge of Carpentry and Plumbing are always appreciated. Car mechanics are always helpful. I would really appreciate someone who can do handyman jobs and wants to come for a week or two. I sell things online and on eBay and would love someone who is good at writing descriptions in English. I have a large house and property in a diverse area of Staten Island, New York that I`m always working on. I plant a vegetable garden in the spring using the square foot gardening method. A friend and I rebuilt the whole house on the inside including jacking it up and replacing the foundation, sills and beams ...

Sheep are sheared so now they have their new winter outfit, they'll stay in the warmth of the barn. Sowe need some volunteers to feed the sheep and make yourself friend sheep while you clean the barn to keep it nice for them. There can be some other extra task Beggi (the farmer) can ask you to do, but still, you'll have free time to enjoy hot spots and swimming pool! You can of course text even if you're available another time of the year ! (We just won’t host from the 24th of December to the 6th of January) Message us on WhatsApp or on HelpX. My WhatsApp number is above. Send me (Caroline, who runs the HelpX) a message (here, on WhatsApp or Instagram caroline.lsgt). You can also message Beggi (the farmer) directly via Facebook (Alexander Flumbri), named after Beggi's cat! Profile picture is of the cat as well (Beggi doesn't have that many hair!)! Where to start? We are a family in the western part of Iceland, at the gates of the Westfjords, Beggi runs the sheep farm. We have more t...

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town, which is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay. Two hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around. There is a mountain on my farm with lots of tracks to walk and a creek to swim in, There is a hammock i...

Hey beautiful people, please check our current projects and dates in the end of the text :) what to say? Since we travelled ourselves for about two years, making a bunch of good experiences with volunteering, we dreamed about finding our own little piece of land, hosting great people from all around the world and doing inspiring projects together. And now we did it! But let me give you some facts about all. Farmer and me Marta live as a couple in a tiny little village out of nowhere in the middle of Germany. We bought an almost ancient house (about 280 years), which is in a quite good condition and was renovated with a lot of passion and only natural materials by the previous owners. The whole property has 1200m² so we have some garden, which should be turned it into a little paradise using organic principles. We are interested in permaculture, but we are far away to be professionals in any of this subjects. It's more a trial and error thing we are doing :) We try to grow a lot of d...

We are family with 2 boys. We live 60km from Tallinn in a small village. We are starting to build our own house. The first building is sauna-house. We already have a small vegetable garden and some apple and plum trees. Around our area there are a lot of swamps. We have a lot of woods and untouched nature in Estonia. We need somebody who can help to put insulation in the walls of our new house, finish up a wooden shed and building a fence. Making some firewood. We don`t need necessarily an expert, but somebody who is willing to help. We need some help in the garden. Picking berries, cutting grass etc. Accommodation: You will have private room with a wide bed in our apartment. All conveniences - warm water, bathroom, water toilet ,high speed internet, TV.

Welcome to our home in Sweden. We are a couple from Germany who has lived in Sweden for nearly fourteen years. We live on the countryside with our two lovely dogs, a cat and horses. We have a big garden with appletrees, vegetables, berries and so on. We always have some projects, such as building a chicken coop or our little applecider factory. We love to meet young people from all over the world to learn from their history and their culture. Here in our home you will be a part of our little family, we work together, we live together and we lough together. Please feel free to ask if you like to know more about us. If you have some knowledge in fysiotherapy och massage, it would be fantastic. I have some problems with stiff muscles and would like to learn more about how to become a little more relaxed

We are beekeepers in a small village near Bayonne, in the south west of France. We live in an old typical farm of the area with animals (one dog, two cats, chickens and millions of bees). We have near to 150 hundred hives which produce different honeys (heather, chestnut, acacia,...). For that we`re moving it in different areas. We are also making some pastry with our honey and we are selling the production on the local shops. We are also gardening, cooking and doing some DIY works at farm. We would please to welcome to you.

Just a peaceful place that needs some t.l.c. every once and a while, like gardening, creating and cleaning, cooking depending on the weather. Were a couple and we love to hear about what's happening in the world, from different perspectives.. Were not traveling at present, so this is the next best thing.... having someone in a tiny home, helping, sharing and learning. . .. I love dancing, music, and arts which is included in our home environment. Riding motor bikes, or a little game of table tennis, creating trails, riding on the bicycle trails, hiking, swimming, & watching sun sets. Never boring around here for me, I am in the process of becoming more self sufficient, planted many trees. Created gardens, wanting someone who loves being in nature, needs/wants growing time on there own. I want a caretaker of the land. Also sharing together, I'm going to school this coming year for Feldenkrais (ATM) so I want some one who wants to explore in the back yard of dirt. The more alive our...

We live in a fun share house in Maryborough, Marry Poppins Town, with awesome meals and a big edible garden. We're Mars, the owner of the property and Tracy, a former theatre/restaurant owner who's cooking the most awesome meals and looking after everyone like a mum. There're 2 adorable dogs in the family, so you must be a dog lover. We need help with building and creating, and with an awesome but overgrown garden. In addition, we're about to put 12v solar power into the rooms, also natural air-conditioning and are finishing up the spa bath in the 2nd bathroom... so there's a bit for you to learn and lots of knowledge to take home. We have had awesome experiences with travellers so far 😃. Maryborough is only 30 minutes away from Hervey Bay with beautiful beaches overlooking Frazer Island. We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. Please note, we cannot host anyone with any pre existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions). We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our doorstep, hiking trails through the mountains and forests, cycling paths, and skiing in the...

This is only the second school in Nagarkot, nice Nepalese village in Bhaktapur district; a 1.5 hrs bus ride from Kathmandu. It hopes to provide an English medium education for underprivileged children. The school has 7 staff members taking care of its 80+ students - aged from 4 to 12 years old - and would benefit from any help volunteers can provide. Volunteers can expect to as class helpers and also share teaching tips with the school if they can. Volunteers can also help beautify the classrooms murals to help the kids as visual aids during their school time. Becoming an independent class teacher is also an option for long-term volunteers as soon as they have a grasp on the school's curriculum and vision for students. Other jobs for volunteers include: - Writing class exercises and homework exercises for students (we have no printing/photocopying facilities) - Designing class quizzes and tests - Introducing interactive, educational games through which children can learn ...

Dear volunteers, my name is Nicola, I'm 32 and I live (and grew up) in a farmhouse in the not much known north-eastern corner of Italy, Friuli. I opened this host profile in 2018, when I was helping my dad running his free range pigs farm. During that time I had the luck to host some amazing volunteers, and even tho it feels like ages ago I still keep great memories of that experience. Nowadays things have changed a bit: my dad is not around anymore, I am not keeping as many animals as we used to do back then, and the place is not run as a proper "productive" farm anymore. In the past few years I have been living between Venice, where I did my master, and here, where I had been working as a librarian. In 2025 I also left for a 9 months trip all the way to Central Asia, and now I am back again, and looking forward for the next spring to start working on some new projects for this place! :) And also to host some new volunteers to share the life at the farm with! In general, during the ...

We’d love to welcome you to our 5-acre permaculture farm in Shadforth, just 4km from the heart of Denmark in stunning South-West WA. Relax in your own private apartment, completely separate from the house. 🌱 On our farm we apply permaculture and regenerative agriculture principles. Hi, my name is Lin Zhao, the volunteer manager of this farm. After graduating from my university I have now decided to live and work on the farm, since I was born and grew up here. I really love this land. This farm belongs to our big family. It is overall primarily run by my uncle, though I will be your main contact person for the volunteering program. The farm is located in a small town called Jiuling, an hour drive from Mianyang city, Sichuan province, China. The farm is more than 300 hectares and it mainly lives on the swine business. We raise more than 5000 pigs, grow fruits (peach, grape, kiwi), peanuts and some vegetables. We employ about 150 local workers that help us running the farm. All the workers have their meals in the canteen together with the volunteers. Besides from pigs we have free-range chickens, goats and also some fishes in the different ponds. But this is not the only things we do. We also work on restoring the local ecological environment by reforestation bec...

A room is available for your homestay. Because of the help I would like to ask, mature ladies who have enough experience/knowledge of handling house holding chores and cooking are welcome. No problem if you cannot cook Japanese dishes. Vegetarian is welcome only from summer to autumn. It's easy to talk about next step of your homestay if how long from when, how you can help, what you want to do during homestay in addition to help works are written in your request. I will reply to only applicants who read my profile and understand/satisfy requirements. I'm a 67 years old male living alone and have a small private organic vegetable garden. I am happy if someone can help me to maintain vegetable garden and household chores including cooking. I also can enjoy helping my guest to learn Japanese language. We can visit at sightseeing places/aesthetic landscape when we have free time. At the same time, I'm interested to hear your stories about helpx and learn foreign languages as well ...

Hello travelers, my name is Abidine Al-Boudani. I live with my family in a small town called Tagounite in the southeast of Morocco. Our family only settled during the middle of the last century, originally we descend from nomads, but have made a home in the Daraa Valley now. In walking distance to our house we have an organic farm, a 50 year old heritage from when my grandfathers settled down here. The farm is a beautiful place for anyone - be it people coming by themselves, friends, couples, families, pets - to spend an enjoyable time, connecting with the nature of the desert. ~ACCOMODATION~ Volunteers with tents can pitch them in the garden. Some families who come with a motorhome, truck and vehicles have the option to park right next to it. Currently an insulated tent is being constructed next to the garden house, which is also in progress. This accommodation will offer a more quiet environment than the family house, but comes with no bathroom yet at this point. If people ...

WELCOME to the Human Rewilding Project. We are young married couple coming from very different cultures and upbringings. We are living our dream of experiencing what it means to be alive as a proper human being. And that on our own land in one of the most beautiful and wild corners of Scotland. We aspire to become self sufficient in all we need for a happy and healthy life. Our house and the main parts of the croft lie on a hill with a breathtaking view onto Oldshoremore Beach. The view from our living room or from the garden invite for frequent moments of still admiration and gratitude. Alexa grew up on a Finca in the jungle of Costa Rica within her tribe, the Boruca. She was born into a lineage of healers and understands deeply the ways of plants and other beings. She learned from her elders about natural health, herbal remedies and energy work. One of her many missions is to pass on her shamanic knowledge and thus keeping alive her indigenous heritage. But the most important one...

Maryborough is a beautiful old heritage town with a lot of old buildings and parks all around. We're just a few metres away from the Mary River, at a quite place and only 1.5 km from town. There'...

We use a chicken mandala system, rotating our chicken coop through veggie garden zones to regenerate soil, reduce pests, and grow nutrient-rich food. We use sheep for regenerative grazing and for our own meat self sufficiency. Our next project is planting fruit trees to increase biodiversity and productivity on the land. 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦 We are a couple with two energetic boys aged 10 and 13. We are active in the local community and we enjoy sharing our lifestyle with open-minded, curious people. 🐕 Our land is also home to our loyal and hard-working male livestock guardian dog, who takes his job of protecting the chickens and sheep from foxes very seriously. Helpers must be comfortable around large working ...
