We require helpers with basic property maintenance skills - house painting, shifting furniture, gardening, house cleaning, odd jobs. Work will be for about 15 flexible hours per week. Week-ends are usually free. We do not pay a salary. You will provide and cook your own food You will have a private bedroom and share bathroom. There is also the facility to share with tenants a kitchen with dining/sitting area and Sky TV. Due to proposed building alterations we will not need any helpers until the late Summer, if this changes I will update my details. A conversational knowledge of English is required. Kinsale is a popular Tourist destination on the South Coast of Ireland, with events which attract visitors from Ireland and all over the world. We are in a quiet residential street about 5 minutes from the Town centre with regular bus services to Cork City etc.

With its vibrant cultural scene, world-class museums, historic landmarks, countless cafés, parks, and excellent public transport, Berlin is the perfect place to experience urban life while enjoying a welcoming home environment. Version française plus bas. __________________________________ Hello! We moved from Germany five years ago to the beautiful Gaspé-coast. We’re located 5km from the sea and we live midst a community of young people. Who’s “we”? Well, it’s Catherine (37 years old), Olaf (46 years old), Mathis (4 years)and Mika (10 months) and Artemis, our cat. We try to be as self-sufficient as possible on the food and work in our garden to make it a little bigger each year. We grow organic (not certified) vegetables of all kinds, berries, medicinal herbs, perennials and more. We also have a wood lot close by. We try to make our own seeds as much as possible and start our own seedlings in spring for the garden and the greenhouse. We also transform our harvest by drying, fermenting, canning, making juice etc. Of course there is always things to do around the house and inside, too. So there is always some extra hands needed. Our handcraft-projects include wood, leather, basketing, sewing, mosaic and other...

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . Join Our Home in Walnut Creek: A Unique Opportunity for Connection and Support Hello! My name is Bruce, and I’m looking for a reliable, friendly person to assist me with everyday life while also forming a meaningful connection. About Me and Our Home I broke my neck at 18, resulting in lifelong use of a wheelchair. Despite this, I pursued multiple degrees and have built a fulfilling life with my wife, Kim. Our household includes our service dog, Bennett, a future service dog in training (Dorothy, our third), and two cats, Edna and Scarlett. Your Role & Contribution While Kim is my full-time caregiver, I need help with tasks that offset my paralysis, including: - Household Tasks – Light cleaning, keeping the kitchen tidy, and helping with laundry. - Personal Assistance – Bringing me food, water, and other necessities I can’t manage on my own. - Driving & Companionship – Taking...

Hi everyone! We have a beautiful property a short walk/drive away from a gorgeous New Zealand beach. We live 45 minutes from Hamilton and 20-25 minutes from Raglan. Our area is very remote - we have some neighbours but there are no shops here or public transport, just farmland. So if you enjoy being away from cities and people then this is the place for you! Our property suits people who enjoy the outdoors and surfing, hiking, walking, animals, solitude. There is a beautiful mountain right by our house for hiking, great surfing and fishing in the area, and Raglan (a little over 20 minutes away) which is a vibrant and energetic little beach town with world famous surf. This exchange is for accommodation only. We have a cabin with a big bed and beautiful views of the farmland and mountain and sea. There is a kitchenette for you to keep and cook your own food. The bathroom is about 20 metres away from the cabin and it is a composting toilet with shower that does the job but is gravity-f...

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) , please don't come if you have a heavy cold or flu, I'm involved with the elderly. Cheers Al

Currently accepting helpers for the 2026 farming season! We have space for July onwards! ***Please read the reviews below for an insight into what it’s really like!!!!*** More about what we do: We grow rice, cherries, roses, pumpkins, cucumbers and soy-beans on our farm here in Murayama-Shi in the middle of the very beautiful Yamagata Prefecture in the north part of Japan. We grow a premium rice without chemicals and more labour intensive traditional methods which we sell direct to the customer. Our orchards unfortunately are not organic, but we are researching ways to substitute natural sprays. We have also opened a guesthouse and a mochi restaurant! We are a big (crazy) family: 3 generations, 9 people plus some local staff! Apart from my wife and I, my family only speaks Japanese! Everyone is very friendly, but you will definitely need a sense of humour, patience and a willingness to try to communicate. You would eat with the family (traditional Japanese food - so rice for brea...

I usually live in Australia with my husband but have returned to Japan to look after my 100-year-old mother at her house in Yokohama, an hours drive south of Tokyo. My husband will soon return to Australia as the fire season is approaching and there are dangers for our house in the forest there (see BLOG and WEBSITE). With only me looking after my mother it is quite intense as I can get little rest, and according to my mother's doctor, the intensity will only increase towards the end of the year. I worry I will have trouble in the future getting out to do shopping and even my own medical appointments. There is a constant flow of medical professionals coming to the house (nurses, doctor, physiotherapist, dentist, masseuse and social worker), but this does not give me a break as it is important that I am present and alert absorbing any developing insights. Given: i) very positive experiences in Australia with HelpX helpers (see reviews in the WEBSITE), and ii) the fact that the top fl...

(La description en français se trouve plus bas !) We are a small Buddhist community living in the forest close to Sainte-Julienne, Quebec. We have an organic fruit tree nursery, along with many other projects on our land: several fruit orchards, chickens and bees, growing our own vegetables and herbs and trying to be independent in many ways. The six people who are staying are: Ajan, Eric, Veronique, Elisabeth, Natalie and Camille. Each of us have arrived here one by one, at first just interested in helping out in the place, and then as we found that this lifestyle was for us, deciding to stay for longer. For part of the year we also have a couple of employees staying with us. There is also a wonderful dog named Dali. Our organic nursery and garden occupies a land of 9 hectares, surrounded by forest. As well as the main land of the nursery, we have another smaller land where a few of us live. This is, in fact, where the community started to grow from very small beginnings in the ear...

I am an aquatic ecologist who has fortunately been working out of our coastal rain-forest property for 35 years. Driven by strong curiosity, I have recently been developing long-term data sets on the animal life in the forest that surrounds our home, plus on tropical marine fish that are steadily increasing in numbers under the influence of climate change at the nearby very beautiful Seal Rocks area (for details click on my website link below). We have 20 acres with 2 acres cleared and the remainder moist tall forest and rainforest. It is on the coast 3 hrs drive north of Sydney (1.5km from Smiths Lake; 30km south of Forster) See my blog link below to glimpse the accommodation, typical work and fun. We have a 180 squ m vegetable garden at times needing attention which has been enclosed to keep out our friends the wallabies (pademelons), possums, parrots and native bush turkeys. Bush regeneration is another activity as well as assisting in ecological surveys of local rivers when t...

We live on a small property eight minutes from Kerikeri township. We have a private lake and kayaks are available to explore. We used to run a bed and breakfast here so I guess we can say we dont bite and our place is clean and comfortable. Some animals and chickens on site. Fruit when in season. Having a vehicle to explore for times when you are not working is a must and there is no public transport here. We are meat eaters. We need help now throughout the year. I have some physical limitations and require help to get on top of STUFF. We have many trees that have been felled waiting for splitting with a fuel powered machine, paths needed to be built, gardening, general gardening tools available and I am also building a cottage. Inside work for those wet days include painting, plus preparation, cleaning windows plus other general household tasks. Woodworking/carpentry skills could be an asset. *** Welcoming helpxer/s now :-) *** Nestled in the beautiful Southern Alps is the historic settlement of Cass (approx half way between Christchurch and Greymouth). I am offering private accommodation, (separate from the house with own bathroom) and all groceries/meals in exchange for odd jobs - painting, gardening and lawn mowing. There is plenty to do in the area including fishing on many of the nearby high country lakes (1.6km spectacular walk to Lake Sarah) day walks/ tramping in Arthurs Pass National Park and Craigieburn forest Park, skiing on one of the 5 local ski fields, four wheel driving, Scree jumping (down Sugar Loaf). A short drive to Cave stream scenic reserve (one of the south Islands best free activities) and Castle Hill natural rock climbing park (where scenes from Lord of the Rings and Narnia were filmed). 🌿 Come help on our farm! We need friendly volunteers to join us with cooking, cleaning, gardening, and everyday tasks — no experience needed, just a good attitude and willingness to muck in.We are looking for helpers between the ages of 18 to 32. We are a small community of friends working towards a better life in a beautiful part of rural Devon, in the Tamar River Valley Estuary where you will make friends for life. In exchange for your friendship while you are staying here we will endeavour to teach you new skills that will carry you through life. A small farm in a beautiful location! Our farm and home probably date back to pre 1660's, with many additions since. It has been left to go wild for the last 40 years. The river has otters, seals, beavers, salmon, sea trout, and sea bass. With buzzards and owls overhead. There are deer in the surrounding woodland. The aim for our farm is to give the land back to nature and at the same time create an organic food source that we can freely ...

An hour and 15 mins away from Paris, we live in a tiny and nice village surrounded by wheat fields filled with poppies. We are a couple (m.André, 66 and me, Antoinette,54). We are looking for serious and motivated people interested in gardening, building, renovating, decorating and participating in a rare project : the creation of the Japonisme House. You may also be participating in the village events. An interest in Arts is appreciated, even if you have no knowledge and are willing to learn. We also like people that can take initiatives and work independantly sometimes. Thanks, M.André and Antoinette

Hello Helpers! I live on a small 5 acre lifestyle block, 48 km South of Auckland CBD, that is also home to one horse (Meg), two small inside dogs (Alfie and Lacey), a cat (Sylvie) and some free-range hens who happily provide eggs for our breakfast. I can offer short stays of approximately ONE WEEK only, for a single helper or a couple. Mature, practical-minded people with a few years life experience, a good work ethic and a good understanding of the English language are preferred. None of the jobs are difficult but you do need to be reasonably FIT and you need to be able to work independently. Non-smokers/non-vapers only please. I've had some amazing helpx helpers that have helped establish the kitchen gardens and some help is now needed on general gardens and landscaping. Depending on the time of the year, some of the tasks you may be asked to help with are: planting trees/shrubs, weeding and mulching garden beds, grubbing thistles, paddock weeds and brush-cutting (strimming/w...

We are a busy family with a two acres of gardens in a country setting, just 10 minutes outside Tauranga. We have a menagerie of animals plus vegetable gardens and a small fruit salad orchard. At times we raise our own (friendly) lambs and pigs and do some home processing into hams, bacon etc. We have a clean and very comfortable 60m2 accommodation separate from the main house with 2 bedrooms (one double and two single beds), a bathroom/shower, a large living area, a nice little kitchen, and wifi. You will have this accommodation building to yourself. We like 2 people at a time, and for a week or two, depending on work available. There is always plenty to do with a wide variety of tasks both outside and inside. This includes: - gardening, pruning trees and shrubs, weeding, lawn mowing, wood splitting/stacking and other section maintenance (to suit your level of experience). - some inside housework/cleaning on rainy days - Painting plus other house maintenance and landscape work (i...

WELCOME TO PARADISE GLENORCHY! We are a busy couple working full time and needing help with our property. Based in the spot chosen by the original settling family in the area, we have a really well established garden that needs taming and some quirky buildings that need some TLC. Looking for hardy gardeners, handy DIYers and folks who are keen to just generally get stuck in. We have a great retro caravan, sleep out, outdoor kitchen and bathroom set up that's screaming out for someone, two friends or a couple to bring it to life. At this stage we a only provide breakfast, but could do lunch in some situations. We have heaps of freezer space and suggest you stock up on a few dinners, and drinks in Queenstown before you get here as the local shops are a bit pricey. Spark phone signal is limited to the end of the drive, OneNz works just fine. - free internet available. We recommend helpers have there own wheels, as we're 5km outside of Glenorchy. There is however a bike you can use if ...

(Note for U4U applicants -- we cannot sponsor any refugees from Ukraine at this time, but we are happy to host you if someone else can sponsor you.) ~Our Place~ We live on a beautiful piece of land in rural Texas, full of lush green hills, towering pines, oak savannahs, and wild animals, about 1 hour's drive from Austin. Our goal is to build a community out here, starting from our extended family and friend group and beyond. We've traveled the world volunteering, hitchhiking, Couchsurfing, playing music in bands, farming, building, protesting, yogaing, truck-driving, teaching... all kinds of things. Now, we're trying to restore this piece of land to a more balanced state and to build a home, a farm, an apiary, a studio... We want this to be a place that fosters creativity, closeness to nature, silence, loudness, peace, chaos, etc.! Come and get a real taste of Nu Zelan! Home brew, home made breads and fresh fish.. Bush crash up the stream, swim at the beach across the road, come fishing with me on the kayaks. Take the bikes, pedal 2km to Waiomu; then tramp/jog to some beautiful Kauri (1/2 to 3/4hr). Do an overnighter at The Pinnacles Hut up the Kauranga Valley if yr into vast iconic views and like tramping (you need to book). If you have wheels you can do great day trips around the Peninsula. And if yr more chill, Thames has some great op-shops. Debs & I are happy boomers on the endless holiday ! Loving every second left. However, we seriously need help with the massive task of @296: gardens to create & jungle to clear ! We are keen to host people who want to help, who are comfortable speaking English (or trying) and value simple routines and shared respect. Hi! I'm Tonje and I moved to my farm in 2020. And there's always a lot to do here. This small farm is in a very small town, by the fjord in Hardanger. Its a good place for hiking and culture. The area is quiet and scenic. The closest cities are Odda and Bergen. The bosses of the house are 4 dogs and 3 cats. Right now I don't have any farm animals of my own. But the neighbor's sheep live here too. I would have been very grateful for various help on my small farm. The work can be very varied. But I need help with maintenance of the outdoor area, wood working, chopping firewood and snow shoveling. I also have an airbnb, so cleaning, organize and tidying jobs are also tasks that I may need help with. Help are appreciated a lot. For your help, I can offer beautiful scenery, food and a private bedroom.

Hi everyone! We have a beautiful property a short walk/drive away from a gorgeous New Zealand beach. We live 45 minutes from Hamilton and 20-25 minutes from Raglan.

JOB: PAINTING Kia ora We are Walter and Julia and together we have an eight year old daughter Clara. We live in Glenbervie Whangarei on a 11ha lifestyle block. We milk our own house cows (raw dairy is part of our daily diet). We also have beef cattle, chickens, a dog and one cat. We have one property in town which we run as a guesthouse and we occasionally need help to keep gardens tidy and general housekeeping. But main tasks will be on our lifestyle block. We ask for 8h/day with next day off. Meals and bedroom with shared bathroom provided. Beautiful quiet property overlooking Glenbervie forest. We cannot cater for vegans. Vegetarians are welcome but please keep in mind meat gets processed in our kitchen. If you're interested please message us, we'll respond within a day. We'...

WELCOME TO PARADISE GLENORCHY! We are a busy couple working full time and needing help with our property. Based in the spot chosen by the original settling family in the area, we have a really well established garden that needs taming and some quirky buildings that need some TLC.

Our farm is in a remote and magical scenic area of the outer Marlborough Sounds. We have a number of cattle and their calves, hens, our dog Trixie, our cat Elmo, 2 friendly pet sheep, Ivan and Mavis. There are always interesting things that need attending to on the farm and in our vegetable garden. We have many areas of garden and regenerating native bush. Plenty of variety on the projects. We have good beaches and nice walks. Your own transport is the easiest or there is a passenger service from Rai Valley Village.
