Looking for a lovely volunteer(s) to join us and our animals. AVAILABILITY FROM the 4th August. We are fully booked until the 3rd August. Please contact us if you are interested in helping look after our wonderful animals. Experience with horses is useful but not necessary as long as you are happy to care for them. You will live as part of the family - during your stay, our home will be your home. We are a married couple living on a property with our DOGS, HORSES and some elderly but treasured chickens. Depending on the time of year, we also run a small scale rescue and rehabilitation centre for hedgehogs. There are stunning views looking out over a Devon Wildlife Nature Reserve and beautiful countryside. We live in a very attractive rural area of Devon on the outskirts of a beautiful old village called DOLTON (please look on "Google Earth") about a 45 minute drive from Dartmoor National Park. We grow organic table grapes, a few fruit trees, chickens and a few pigs. This is a real farm experience, mostly working in the vineyard, with some fun too. There is biking to town, swimming in the ocean or our lake, fishing, basketball, volleyball, hiking, nature walks, beach strolling and look for fossils at Blue Beach, camp fires , rope swing in our little lake, take in the fantastic views, sunsets, star gazing, internet, phone and go to nearby towns such as Wolfville and Hantsport as well as the rest of the Annapolis Valley with the local bus. The accommodations and kitchen are separate for helpers cooking with an abundance of food. This is a more independent farm stay. Hope you can make it here.

2 Small farms turned into the one near the West Coast of Clare. We keep lots of farm animals like cattle, horses, donkeys and sheep. We produce a wide range of vegetables for ourselves and some for selling. We have two children, went to primary Steiner/ Waldorf school; Frank (25) and Fina(21) and they love having volunteers around the place. Fina is doing equine studies and Frank studies horticulture and loves travelling. We hope you have the ability to adapt to our for most of you different and simple life-style and enjoy farmwork with irregular hours at times, and you will get a true sense of farming life-style! It is important to realise beforehand that you are a volunteer who gets the opportunity to join into our family home/life so please do not compare with a regular paid job.. Most important is that you are happy and enjoy your stay with us... We offer healthy food, wonderful sunsets and rainbows, some Irish traditional music, and the possibility to learn more about old style f...

Travelers should choose my place because it offers a calm, friendly, and comfortable home in the Dublin Suburbs 10 minute train ride to City Centre. You’ll be surrounded by plants, nature, and good company 🌿. The tasks are light and relaxed. You’ll also learn practical gardening tips and horticultural knowledge in a cozy, welcoming environment. It’s an ideal place for volunteers who enjoy peaceful living, meaningful conversations, and a warm home atmosphere. I am a well organized and responsible person. I’m an easy-going, friendly host who enjoys gardening and evening chats 😊. I value respect, honesty, and a relaxed environment. Volunteers can expect to be treated kindly and fairly, with plenty of support and patience. House also has a permanent tenant, Gloria from Italy (early 30's) who has been here over a year. The help is quite easy and low-stress. I’m happy to share my horticultural knowledge, including tips and tricks for getting the best performance from different plants 🌱. T...

We are a young couple who have made the leap from the UK to NZ and then from the city to the country. We have travelled a lot before settling in NZ and love to meet new people. We have a beautiful home in the countryside but also close to the beach. Perfect if you like animals and being in the outdoors and love the sea. We love to paddleboard in the Ngunguru estuary and walk our dog along the many trails and beaches nearby. We are about 20mins out from town so having a car would be a bonus unless you are happy to relax at home while we are at work. The stunning Tutukaka coastline is also 30 mins drive and is a must see for any traveller. Another must see destination in NZ, the Bay of Islands is an hour away. We were new to lifestyle blockering and are still learning as we go. We have a 4 yr old called Alfie and a 2 yr old called Charlotte as well as the dog (Pip), Chickens, Ducks, sheep lambs and cows. This means there is enough of a range of jobs to suit most peoples preference. F...

Hi and welcome to our eco project. We are establishing this place at Waipu Caves - a supportive refuge for self discovery and healing through a deep connection with nature. Set amongst the majestic limestone formations and sacred underground passageways of Te Ana Waipu (Waipu Caves), the property rests on 14 hectares of native bush and pasture. The huge limestone cave system covers some four square kilometres and is home to millions of glow worms adorning the cavernous ceilings and freshwater koura in the chilly Pools below. There are swimming holes surrounded by native trees in the river a short walk away. The beautiful beaches of Bream Bay are just 15 minutes away! We are making our vision a reality - and we need your help. There are a multitude of different task we need help with and your help would be greatly appreciated. Judy is an environmental educator teaching Permaculture Design with a passion for syntropic agroforestry - a regenerative farming system developed by Ernst Göt...

Please check our availability first and read all that we have written :) Well-established Permaculture property with orchard, garden and animal systems located ten minutes from Noosa and seven minutes from (famous) Eumundi Markets. (But public transport VERY poor in this area - see note below) so your own car is a big plus! Dave is a past Permaculture Teacher and therefore only interested in working with people keen to increase their knowledge of Permaculture systems/Self sufficiency. We are a laid-back but hard working couple who enjoy the "good life" in all its simplicity. We practice regenerative agriculture (using our chickens) and focus on cover crops as well as adding micro-organisms to our soil. We are looking for a single person or happy couple, with practical skills and a focus on wanting to grow their own food/becoming self-sufficient, to assist with gardening, recycling nutrients by pruning then chipping by Dave and spreading mulch, DIY tasks, brushcutting and improvemen...

Hey there! We are Petra and Eddie and our farm is a truly unique sanctuary from the hustle & bustle, a 1935 irrigated homestead located in a tiny village in the Southern Arizona Desert. We are at 3800ft and about 10 degrees cooler than Tucson. We have HUGE mesquite trees, providing valuable shade and 8 acres are irrigated pasture for our horses. Our kitchen garden is sadly in need of TLC. We are working on cultivating the one acre field behind the house to eventually supply our flower, veggie and fruit farm stand. If you are looking for a farm that works with permaculture and regenerative farming principles… this is it! We have 20 plus spoiled chickens, 3 pet geese, 3 dogs, 3 cats and 6 horses. The Silver Mining Town Tombstone - where the famous OK Corral Shootout happened - is 20 minutes away - former home of famous Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday. It’s fun to stroll down the boardwalk to reminisce the on-location-filmed ‘Tombstone’ movie starting Kurt Russell and Val Kilmer. A 40 m...

Hello! My 4-year-old boy, Julian, and I live in a 50 year old cozy cabin, up in the hills in Samaipata, 8 minutes walking from the main plaza. You’ll have Julian’s room, with a shared bathroom. We are Bolivian, but we speak English at home. I like the idea of Julian being comfortable connecting with other people while traveling and normalizing language learning as an everyday thing, not just something that happens at school. How can you help us? You must love kids. While I work remotely, for 3-4 hours a day, you’ll have to play, paint, DYI stuff and practice or teach Julian a few words of your own language. Some days he has activities which you can just take him or join him as they include painting, ceramics, playing, etc. You’ll clean what you use and contribute to our Montessori intended lifestyle for Julian. I don’t cook, but if you do, I’ll cover the vegetarian groceries. You have all morning to explore the village and the evenings to meet other people! You can also join Julian an...

Our jobs require practical experience, or willingness to learn - gardening, cleaning, spraying, weed-eating, washing the house, windows etc. We don't currently have airbnb guests so you would get to stay in the luxury airbnb unless we get a booking, then you would either sleep in a sofa bed in the cabin or if you prefer your van and just use our shared spaces. Hi everyone! We have a beautiful property a short walk/drive away from a gorgeous New Zealand beach. We live 45 minutes from Hamilton and 20-25 minutes from Raglan. Our area is very remote - we have some neighbours but there are no shops here or public transport, just farmland. So if you enjoy being away from cities and people then this is the place for you! Our property suits people who enjoy the outdoors and surfing, hiking, walking, animals, solitude. There is a beautiful mountain right by our house for hiking, great surfing and fishing in the area, and Raglan (a little over 20 minutes away) which is a vibrant and energetic little beach town with world famous surf. This exchange is for accommodation only. We have a cabin with a big bed and beautiful views of the farmland and mountain and sea. There is a kitchenette for you to keep and cook your own food. The bathroom is about 20 metres away from the cabin and it is a composting toilet with shower that does the job but is gravity-f...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. PLEASE NOTE WELL: we absolutely cannot host anyone with any pre-existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions), such as hay fever, any other allergies, sensitivities or intolerances. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our do...

We are Dave and Lynda an older couple than we would like to admit and this is where our challengers lie. We live on a half-acre bush property, Dave built the house 35 years ago and it now requires a little maintenance. Some of the maintenance will involve helping Dave moving and working off scaffold and carpentry work. The yard needs some attention and involves some heavy wheelbarrow work to form a path beside our dam along with transplanting and planting. So here's the deal,,,,, we are offering accommodation in exchange for assistance with the maintenance of the house and yard. You will get to stay in a great little 1 bedroom self-contained unit situated 10 minutes drive from the Hervey Bay town centre. We are asking 2 half days a week help in exchange for accommodation, I'm saying half days because we run out of energy about mid-day. This leaves you with plenty of time to explore the area and visit Fraser Island and our beautiful beaches, snorkel the soft coral reef or scuba...

We are restoring an old traditional Béarnaise house located at the foot of the Pyrenees in the Ouzom valley. We want to share it with people who can help us with the garden as well as with the house to maintain or restore it. Assistance activities concern the maintenance or restoration of buildings (lime plaster, carpentry, plumbing, electricity, etc), maintenance of the garden (brush clearing) and its vegetable garden, whether it is windy or raining, depending on the projects in progress and the skills of each. Slug hunting to be planned every evening at nightfall. Once a week a complete cleaning of the premises will be carried out by all. We ask for 5 hours help a day, 5 days a week. We offer accommodation in a large 4-bed dormitory. Please, bring your work gloves and clothes , if you have any. Everyone must be autonomous and responsible enough to know how to clean and store the tools or things they have used, as well as to participate daily, outside helping time, in all the househo...

We are based just outside Kaeo, 30 minutes north of Kerikeri. Our property is covered in 85% native bush and our main goal is to protect local wildlife and regenerate the native forest. We're seeking energetic, positive people to help with tasks like fencing, garden maintenance, lawn care, clearing gorse and tobacco weed, firewood, small building projects, house cleaning, and painting. We try to vary the jobs, and most tasks suit fit individuals who enjoy working outdoors. We enjoy a beer or wine after work but have a no-smoking, no-drugs policy. Your accommodation is a newly renovated guest room in our house with a queen-size bed (shared bathroom). We use tank water, mains power, and solar panels and we are working toward food and energy independence. We've been helpers ourselves on Helpx before, and speak English, German, and some Spanish. Our rescue dog Lucy is friendly and loves walks and cuddles, and we have hens and a rooster. Whatever your skills and talents are, your suppo...

We are Pascale, Guy and our daughter Fanette. We live in a tiny village in the beautiful valley of Ubaye, in the Alpes de Haute Provence. We got four horses and two cats who are like family to us. There's a garden, and our daughter runs a 1 hectare arboretum (botanic garden) and squirel park open to public during summer time, where visitors can explore the forest and discover land art. If you are fond of nature, fishing, hiking, kayaking, contemplation, animals and open spaces, this touristic spot is made for you! We would be glad to teach you French and help you with your adventure projects. The house is a bit far from the main city Barcelonnette but we can give you a lift if you need as we go there every day. Close to the village is a bistrot/ pub where they regularly play live music. There are lakes and rivers too where you can enjoy a sunbath. We bought a big caravan especially for the volunteers, with separate private facilities, as we think people like having their private spac...

This is an exciting opportunity to have an experience that will stay with you throughout your life. Our Foundation aims at helping rural children receive a qualitative outstanding education. We have a volunteer teaching program to assist rural teachers and children get exposure to foreign languages and cultures. Because English is the second language in Thai schools, we concentrate on improving the English language skills of both rural teachers and children. At present, we aim to help 4 public elementary schools (grades 1 - 6) close to Chiang Mai. We are currently taking applications for volunteers who would available to start sometime between now and the end of June and commit to at least 8 weeks . We are looking for volunteers to teach English only. Couples are welcome as well. NOTE: We do not charge volunteers any fees for staying with us. The generous gift of your time and dedication is all the donation we will ask of you. We provide the volunteers lodging and meals in retu...

Dear Helpers Welcome to my Permaculture project in Germany in the beautiful wine region of Rheingau. After traveling for years, being volunteer in several countries and doing a Permaculture project in Bali/Indonesia for some years I have set up a new place for a good living here. I took a longer break on Helpx and had no helpers for quite a while. First C made it almost impossible to have people staying and later on I was really busy getting the housing project done and had no place for accommodation to offer. Now the biggest part is done and I'd really like to have volunteers from all over the world sharing and experiencing this project and it's surroundings again. The land is located close to the woods a bit off the beaten track but you can reach the village within minutes by foot. It's a rural environment and I have some neighbors living close bye. But over all a pretty quiet place close to nature. The main house nestles to slopy grounds overlooking the gardens. The cabin housin...

Hello. We are a small Llamas farm, located in the Pyrenees mountains. If you are looking for an original French experience, it could be the right place for you! Here in the high Pyrenees, near the Andorra & Spanish border, we offer you the possibility to live and work in a calm and isolated place, surrounded by high mountains and nothing but pure nature, and good meals "à la française" after our activities among our lamas (about 15 of them). We are a retired French couple, but we used to work and live in foreign countries and continents, which made us interested in people and cultures from all over the world. In the surroundings, there are beautiful places that we would be happy to make you discover, and if you want, we can trek together with Llamas... For your own, you get an entire and cosy apartment (2 bedrooms, 1 or 2 people, single or couple), and join us for generous meals, mostly with local products, that we like to share and appreciate together (so, no vegetarian requir...

Hello, We are a family who have been living in Brittany for a little over a year, specifically on Cap Sizun, west of Douarnenez. Please check our availability first and read all that we have written :) Well-established Permaculture property with orchard, garden and animal systems located ten minutes from Noosa and seven minutes from (famous) Eumundi Markets.

Hello and thanks for checking out the listing. No help needed until after 25th June. Feel free to ask questions 😃 General future project ideas where there is a happy and safe match with skills and interest! - Tidying up gardens (repairing some wooden steps). - Helping replace decking timber (smallish section). - Trimming trees and mulching branches (using pole saw and mulching machine). - Repairing / unbolting section of a small retaining wall. - Painting interior of house (touch up areas). A quick mention a stay with me suits people who like cats 🐈‍⬛ and 🐕 dogs. I also kindly ask not to vape or smoke inside the house or bedroom 🏠 . Welcome to do so outside. About the property: A large section in the suburbs with a small established native forest and a plethora of native birds and birdsong.  As you arrive it will look like you are in suburbia but the property backs onto a small forest which is peaceful and green!  There is a great forest walk close by. The train and ma...
