We are in need of volunteers for our community. We prefer volunteers who are willing to work, teach and show our children and community the good way how to make organic farm in order to save our environment. Teaching other subjects to the children, teach adults English lesson, coach our football club. We're flexible in what you chose to do. In the afternoons volunteers run a program called “English Corner” where they teach English classes to local people, helping adults to improve their English skills. Many strive to learn English in order to have better job opportunities in the future. Free-time activities A trip to Tanzania is the chance to experience life in the heart of Africa. There’s plenty to see and do here during your free time on your project. A project in Tanzania wouldn’t be complete without a safari! This is a chance to see the beautiful wildlife of this country, like elephants, rhinos, and lions. What’s more, Tanzania is home to the highest mountain in Africa, Mount ...

I've previously been a Helpx host with my family winery and vineyard, as well as my farm property south of Adelaide. These days the winery is winding down, but in the past 18 months I've tripled the farm size to 130Ha (325ac). I'm currently growing hay and agisting sheep, with dozens of kangaroos for company. The farm is minutes from Victor Harbor (population 16,000), but the feeling is remote, as neighbouring houses can't be seen. The big projects at the moment are fencing and laying pipework for water for the sheep. There's also things like cutting firewood, machinery maintenance, road bulding, shed building and looking after a patch of native scrub. I have a covered orchard and the beginnings of a veggie garden, but I have no idea what I'm doing, so someone who could help with that would be much appreciated. The property is off-grid, but has all the modern conveniences of power, water, heating and air conditioning, all of which I've done myself. In the down-time I like to drive ...

This is a mountain hut immersed in Italy's largest protected park, at 1300 meters, in a forest on Mount Pollino. Managed by an official guide of the park, we organize excursions, canyoning, hiking, climbing and horseback riding throughout the park. The refuge consists of five rooms (with bathrooms) for a total of twenty beds. Kitchen and dining room in common. Helpers sleep in a room that they share together. In spring, summer and autumn volunteers are welcome to take good care of the refuge. Cooking, fixing the roof, gathering mushroom, cutting wood or making guests practice their english :) In winter... write me if you like snow!

I’m a single mum with shared custody of a wonderful 13 year old daughter, plus a little dog, looking for someone to join us from the end of July and stay for 6-8 weeks (or longer). I am self-employed in an import/export business, and have a large house and garden, the care of which get away from me without assistance. The help needed is mostly maintaining the garden and outside of the property, plus domestic tasks (dishes, cleaning etc) in the house. Someone who’s a bit handy and could undertake a few little fix-it jobs would be an added bonus. I work full-time, and sometimes need assistance to get Abigail to her various activities, so a full driver's license is required. My elderly mum occasionally needs to be driven places as well - she's a fun lady who provides vibrant and lively conversation. Abigail is pretty self-sufficient, and of course is only with me half the time, but she has a wide variety of interests and a zany sense of humour... she is easy to spend time with if you c...

I’m living up in the forest only 8km to the local town of Glenorchy that has lots of goods and services. There are lots of parrots and wallabies in my neighborhood. It’s a steep road but many bicyclist ride up and down the hill. I’m a good cook and enjoy working with younger HelpX. I was a HelpX host in New Zealand for many years. I was a professor and scientist in the biomedical field but now retired. I would appreciate help in light work around my property. Accommodation is provided in a secure cottage separate from my main home located on the property. The cottage has a full kitchen and washing machine for HelpX. Gay and LGBTQ+ welcome. I’m happy to take you to the MONA museum which is world famous for its amazing artwork and exhibits. This is a must see activity in Hobart.

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

Hello, my name is Florent, I'm 45 years old, I was a chef for about twenty years, and since 2017 I've been a spirulina producer. Spirulina is a microalga that's very rich in nutrients. It's a very environmentally friendly crop, requiring little energy and no pesticides. Spirulina needs sun and warmth to grow. The harvest season in our region runs from April to October, and it's during this period that I'm interested in hosting someone (I don't need two people at the same time, one is enough). Normally, I already have people helping me until the end of august, so I'm looking for someone from beginning of september. I mainly need someone to help me harvest the spirulina but also sometimes to help me out on the farm with various tasks, as we do everything ourselves: cleaning, labeling, packaging, general maintenance and odd jobs, and also everything else that goes along with the spirulina production: clearing brush, chopping wood, going to markets from time to time, house constructi...

Hello kind stranger! Our names are Claire and Michiel, we're a young Franco-Belgian family living on an old farmstead near the coast of Wissant, North of France. For 8 years now we are bringing the old farmhouses back to life, while also bringing up our two daughters: Fleur (5 yo) and Perle (3 yo). We've been hosts since 2021 and we love the life that a group of volunteers brings to our place. Making you discover French culture, nature and the sea helps us to enjoy it even more ourselves. Teaching French and picking up on your languages widens our world view and helps our kids to be future globetrotters - like you! The different nationalities we're welcoming make us feel like travelling the world while staying at home. Every day we're hosting, it widens our horizon and gives us love, laughter and friendship. So far we've made an old stable into our home, we've renovated a 'longère' (long farmbuilding) into a woodworker's workshop, our workshop and office space, we've landscaped the c...

Hi beautiful people! I’m Christine, a happy spirited former language and arts teacher working across two continents. Since I retired I work in the natural health field. I live on an urban block called The Roo‘s Pouch, where I maintain a sustainable vegetable garden and created a community of nice people living with me. I live in one of the buildings on this sunny property which runs on rainwater harvesting. We avoid chlorine and contaminates by filtering, harmonizing, and energizing our own water though Ionisation. Water conservation is part of life for me. You can come to Maryborough via plane, bus or train. The Hervey Bay Airport is only 30min from my home. There are meanwhile several bus companies to choose from. If you use the train please book Maryborough town from the drop down menu. The shuttle bus from the train station in Maryborough west (20 min out of town) is free of charge if it is pre-booked. Hosting and educating helpers from mid April until end of October every year. I am a male from the UK, now living in France, and I have an interesting informative project in progress! Having lived off-grid in various locations over the past 20 years, I am based in the heart of the Languedoc Roussilon region (the worlds largest wine area). I currently have the basics set up in my re-purposed barn, including solar panel electricity for fridge, charging phones and laptops during day. Composting toilet, separate ladies no 1s toilet. Simple showers, we fill with buckets water from river. That warms quickly in the Mediterranean sun or you can heat hot water over our cooking fire. We also use a gas hob for cooking and hot drinks only. We get a good 4g and 5g signal here. I would particularly like help with basic supervised DiY, weed clearing, re-roofing, and renovation of the barn, along with tree and vegetable planting and care. I expect 20 hours work per week in return for food, wine and ac...

We are 3 families living on a big land with fields, forests and spring water, renovating an old house, gardening, raising up children and animals. We are looking for help to renovate the house, grow the veggies, play with the children, and for DIY work. The people living here are 4 adults and 6 children from 4 to 16. The children are here one week out of 2, except for the youngest one who's always here. We're also sharing daily life with a big dog, cats, sheep and chicken. We are Michael and Esther and live in a villa in Swedish Lapland, surrounded by lakes, forests and endless nature. We are looking for one person or a couple to help us around our property during the summer season. The main tasks are cleaning and preparing guest rooms and common areas, helping to keep the property tidy and welcoming, gardening, outdoor maintenance and occasional DIY projects. We offer a private apartment with kitchen, bathroom and WiFi. In your free time you can enjoy hiking, fishing, kayaking, SUP, cycling, sauna and the beautiful nature around us. I have a charming, sunny, comfortable home with a lovely garden and a beautiful view over the harbour and mountains. It is very central, well connected to transport, with big parks and green belt very close. I usually only have one bed available, so mostly take 1 person at a time - only occasionally can I take 2 people. In return for two hours work in the house and garden per day, I will provide free accommodation and breakfast. I speak fluent Spanish and can help with someone learning English. I have a sociable lifestyle with many friends, and helpers are welcome to join in on some dinners. But I do need Helpxers who are independent too, since there will be times when I am very busy and not around much. If you're good at cleaning, gardening, painting and doing home maintenance and repairs around the house, that would be great. And I love good food, so good cooks are always welcome!
