We are a mature aged couple working from home and are looking to find an enthusiastic couple, or single person, who can help with general garden maintenance , eg weeding, spraying blackberries and wood splitting etc. In return, we are offering a private room and own bathroom ( see in photos below) in our lovely home. Accomodation and all meals are provided. ( free wi-fi is also available). We are in a quiet and secluded bush setting, and often have kangaroos and wallabies feeding on our property, but still only 3km from the main highway and station. (Melb CBD is 1 hour via train.) It is essential that you are a dog lover! (We have 2) Our 2 Whippets are quite old now, but very friendly and lazy! This would be an excellent opportunity for anyone requiring 2 weeks of accommodation, possibly longer, to share our easy going family life style. We are DEFINITELY a NON SMOKING household, and would prefer not to cater for vegetarians only. The work involves weeding, moving mulch, splitting...

Hello, thank you for looking at our listing. After a little break from hosting we're looking for helpers for April - October 2026. We are Cathy (47) and Leo (who is 14 years old.) We live in a lovely, but messy little cottage in a very beautiful glen. We are semi-off-grid and at the moment there's several issues with the plumbing so please do not apply if you need a daily hot shower! We like to have several helpers so friends are welcome to apply, alternatively we are happy to take single travellers - but please be aware you may need to share a sleeping area with other helpers (who we will ensure are the same sex and similar age to you.) The accommodation is extremely basic, the house is in disarray and I currently resemble a headless chicken for much of the day! Only apply if you are comfortable with untidiness and disorder. However, despite this you will have fun, be well fed and happy. The gardens and surrounding countryside are beautiful and peaceful, so escaping the crazines...

Welcome to my farm! I live in the country, in a big farm surrounded by vineyards, nearby the city of Montpellier, 5km away and 15 min from the Mediterranean Sea. I was a host many years ago and had great experience with helpers from all different countries and various ages.At the time I had the project of restoring a part of a building into an apartment, it was good fun and the result is very cosy. I lived in Spain, England, Ghana and California then settled down in the family farm. Again now I would like to welcome helpers to work around the farm, trimming bushes, raking, working in the vineyards, planting veggies, etc..... I offer an independent little house with wooden stove, kitchen and bathroom, set between the yard and vineyard. I live with my boyfriend, who is a very good cook and a skilled craftman, we are remodeling some apartments in the farm right now. Both my daughters live away but come regularly. I am French and speak good English. I'm waiting for your questions, hoping t...

Hello! Would you like to stay in a villa by the sea? I offer free accommodation in exchange for a few hours of help. The villa is located 15 minutes from Ajaccio. It has bedrooms with private bathrooms, a gym with a spa, a jacuzzi in a landscaped garden, large terraces and a swimming pool. The beaches are just a short walk away, with small coves and natural pools directly opposite the villa. The panoramic sea view and sunsets make the setting particularly idyllic. A transfer from the airport or ferry port can be arranged depending on availability, during the daytime only. A minimum stay of one week is required. The help mainly involves cleaning, cooking, garden maintenance or small painting jobs. It represents around four hours of help per day, with the option of combining the work into one full day every other day. The rest of the time can be spent enjoying the large Lava beach, the coves in front of the villa, the hiking trails behind the house and, during the summer season, the ...

Welcoming helpers as of Summer 2026 Our home is located in the quite isolated countryside of La Creuse, the greenest region of France. We have a very cozy old farm-house that has been renovated and offers simple comfort for all seasons (wood stove heating, heated bathroom, hot water, etc). There are also two large barns in good shape. In our land, we have an expanding biodynamic vegetable garden, a marvellous greenhouse, a beautiful leisure garden, a pond, a young oak grove, a chicken coop with 4 hens and 1 rooster, green pasture for our 5 sheep. We practice organic cultivation and care of everything on the land. We bought the property in 2016 and have done a lot, but there is always more ideas and more to do, so if you have the skills and motivation to do some work in good company and a relaxed atmosphere, you are welcome to come and stay for a while! The look for help of various kinds, such as: - building: continuous improvements and repairs on various outdoor buildings, fe...

We welcome volunteers in our countryside home in Sicily where they can be part of a community of travellers and make a difference in the lives of the dogs in our care - by helping to clean their enclosures, give them food and water, take them on walks, and provide as much individualized attention as possible. Our NGO, with the help of a passionate community of volunteers, strives to cure and find loving homes for the many strays in our area. Activities: We ask for help in taking care of the dogs in our shelter - clean their enclosures, give them food and water, take them on walks, and play and cuddle with them. We might also need help with general maintenance on the property and enclosures at times and with general housekeeping activities. The occasional general maintenance would include tasks such as mending fences and maintaining dog enclosures. We might also ask for help with yard work. Picking up branches, clearing brush and debris, etc. We welcome any talent you may have to offer...

NB - just in case you don't get to the end of the profile - we are vegetarian (mostly) - and we don't take picky eaters. - or smokers. We are terracing a steep section (with an amazing view), developing a fernery and planting out an orchard and native hedges. There are fantails and keruru in abundance. Though the development is sometimes hard work, it`s creative and fun. We are getting there but we could do with a bit of help from strong fit people whose knees can handle walking up and down a steep garden - usually with a load on.. We also have work repairing and painting garden furniture. We prefer hosting a couple or 2 friends who are keen gardeners - or have carpentry or brick laying skills - to help with garden maintenance. We also have a couple of hard-landscaping projects involving path construction and maintenance. Ideally, we would like people who are able to work with minimal supervision, who take pride in their work and want to do a job well, who are self-motivated, have ...

We have a double bedroom in the house and in the summer the barn is a lovely place to sleep. I have been there all summer, too hot in the house. I have two passions living with nature to create balance and food. And art of which nature plays a huge part. I am an artist and have a studio to play in The polytunnel is bursting with foliage despite my late start and the harvest is imminent. I dried a batch of damsons and have just started drying figs. Lots of garden work and food processing There is some building work or woodwork I need help with and I would like to make the shed more usable so plasterboarding to be done later And being from the older generation some tech help is always handy 🤗

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

This is a community-based, non-profit project in Northern Vietnam that brings people together through cultural exchange, education, and local experiences. We welcome volunteers from around the world to live alongside local families, share their culture, and experience the everyday life of Vietnam's ethnic minority communities. Volunteers help teach English to children and local tourism workers while learning about local traditions, customs, and ways of life. Beyond the classroom, you'll share meals with local people, explore nearby villages, and build meaningful connections through daily life and cultural exchange. Whether you're an experienced teacher or simply passionate about meeting new people and making a positive impact. We offer an authentic opportunity to learn, contribute, and experience the beauty of Northern Vietnam as part of the local community.

We live on a small acreage about 20 minutes outside of Bundaberg. It is in a quiet, country area with lots of animals - a naughty sausage dog, cats, geese, guinea fowl and ducks. Wild kangaroos regularly feed in the paddock near our house. If you love animals, we are the place for you! Helpers would have their own bedroom, and a shared bathroom, toilet and lounge room. We are happy to provide all meals if you require, but ask that helpers help with either the meal preparation or the clean up afterwards. We have access to wireless internet and are able to pick up helpers from Bundaberg if they do not have their own transport. Due to the lack of public transport where we live, it is probably more suitable if you have your own transport if you wish to visit local attractions. We would like some assistance with the gardening, feeding/caring for the animals and housework as we are busy working. We enjoy meeting new people and learning about their cultures. We have hosted a lot of helpers...

We are a 4-star boutique resort near the quiet white sands of Bai Sao in southern Phu Quoc, and we are looking for 4-5 volunteers a month for our upcoming summer season. In June and July, we need simple maintenance volunteers willing to help with general upkeep. In July and August, our focus shifts entirely to our summer English camp, where we need enthusiastic volunteer teachers to run group classes for kids and lead conversational English sessions for our staff. While you will be living on-site at a 4-star resort with access to our pool, gym, and spa, this is a real-world, active hotel with high standards. We are looking for adaptable, community-minded people who show up ready to be useful, dress appropriately in guest areas, and treat the space with care. If you are ready to immerse yourself in island life and help us build something great this June, July, or August, we would love to have you join our team. Volunteers have a coordinator, a schedule, and clear expectations. But w...

Update: we have an available slot for 3+ weeks from 20th July to 11th August. We are then looking for a helper for 4-5 weeks from 22 September through to the end of October. Please read the listing fully. My husband and I live in a beautiful, listed, 100 year old house in a lovely part of Scotland. We are surrounded by rural countryside, but well located for exploring much of Scotland and are walking distance from the small rural town (more like a village) of Alyth which has a few shops, cafes and a good bus service. There are lovely walks from the house as well as further afield and we can sometimes lend a bike to use for exploring (but it is quite hilly round here for cycling). Both Dundee and Perth are easy to reach on the bus, with St Andrews just a little further away, also accessible by public transport. Wildlife in the area include red squirrels (in the garden), deer, beavers and buzzards. Our house was a project when we purchased it in 2018, so to help finance the extensi...

- UPDATE - we are fully booked for the whole summer We are a couple of young farmers with the goal of sustainable life living together with nature, learning to live every day and doing what we love most. We have a really beautiful big house to share, we are a few kilometers away from the sea, we have lots of land around us for gardening and building all kinds of projects. We have a dog and a cat and probably more will follow soon. Our vision is to invite people from all over the world, eat as much our own produced and local food as we can, work on projects we love to share and learn and just have a great time being here. We are very international, lived and volunteered in many different countries before and finally decided to become hosts and build that dream place we both wanted! We have had people from Singapore, Germany, Canada, Sweden, Australia, Japan, Martinique, Italy, France, Tahiti, Malaysia, Peru, Korea, Taiwan, China, Czech Republic, Argentina, UK, Austria, USA and Catalonia stay with us and always had great fun. We require 4 hrs work from you every day, doing a variety of jobs around the house, the section (garden) and help with the animals. I live on 2 acres/1 hectare in the hills district of Brisbane approximately 30 minutes from the airport and CBD. My home is nestled near the top of a hill which is wrapped around by forestry trails which you walk out the back gate to. so has wonderful views out over to Moreton Bay in the east and Glasshouse Mountains in the north and over the twinkling lights of the suburbs of a night. My place is very peaceful and very close to nature with many birds. My late husband and I created vegetable, fruit and flower gardens from a bush block. As it takes a lot of work to look after, I would appreciate help with basic outdoor jobs or jobs around the place. It is very peaceful. At my homestay the exchange for accommodation is 3 hours a day or approximately 15 hours a week. This is negotiable and it is more about getting the job done so can be flexible on work arrangements. I can help you find local paid work doing gardening, general outdoor and some indoor work within a 30 min...

We are restoring an old traditional Béarnaise house located at the foot of the Pyrenees in the Ouzom valley. We want to share it with people who can help us with the garden as well as with the house to maintain or restore it. Assistance activities concern the maintenance or restoration of buildings (lime plaster, carpentry, plumbing, electricity, etc), maintenance of the garden (brush clearing) and its vegetable garden, whether it is windy or raining, depending on the projects in progress and the skills of each. Slug hunting to be planned every evening at nightfall. Once a week a complete cleaning of the premises will be carried out by all. We ask for 5 hours help a day, 5 days a week. We offer accommodation in a large 4-bed dormitory. Please, bring your work gloves and clothes , if you have any. Hello. We are a small Llamas farm, located in the Pyrenees mountains. If you are looking for an original French experience, it could be the right place for you! Here in the high Pyrenees, near the Andorra & Spanish border, we offer you the possibility to live and work in a calm and isolated place, surrounded by high mountains and nothing but pure nature, and good meals "à la française" after our activities among our lamas (about 15 of them). We are a retired French couple, but we used to work and live in foreign countries and continents, which made us interested in people and cultures from all over the world. In the surroundings, there are beautiful places that we would be happy to make you discover, and if you want, we can trek together with Llamas... For your own, you get an entire and cosy apartment (2 bedrooms, 1 or 2 people, single or couple), and join us for generous meals, mostly with local products, that we like to share and appreciate together (so, no vegetarian requir...

Welcome to our little slice of wild and wonderful countryside life! We look after 70 acres of wildflower meadows, and summertime is when everything bursts into action, think wildflower seed harvesting, haymaking, and plenty of sunshine. We also have a charming walled garden and greenhouses where we grow all the fruit and veg we eat at home. If it grows here, we eat it—and we always love an extra pair of hands in the garden for planting, weeding, and harvesting. From May to September, the farm comes alive even more as we host a wild campsite and run a small café for visitors and campers who want to experience the meadows up close. Summer also brings our July music festival, which is one of our favourite times of year. When autumn rolls in, it’s all about cider and apple juice, made the traditional way on our 300‑year‑old apple press. We’re big on heritage skills here, there’s always something to maintain, repair, or restore using traditional materials. We even slake our own lime for bui...

We are a cultural and arts community that is working towards being self-sustained. The community is situated in the mountains of Monchique, Portugal surrounded by nature. Our community provides an alternative way of living with permaculture gardens, farm animals, sustainability projects, and arts and cultural workshops. It is a great place to come to meet other like-minded people if you are passionate about sustainability and alternative living. We hold community meetings throughout the week alongside activities and workshops, such as quiz nights, dance nights and yoga classes. If you have something you are passionate about and want to share with others, we would love for you to run a workshop. One of the best things here is the variety of tasks you can do as a volunteer, which gives you the opportunity to learn new skills and discover what you enjoy doing most. We have a combination of short-term and long-term volunteers and on average we have between 10 to 20 volunteers and resident...

Our next availability is from the start of September. We are looking for a *female* native French speaker who is good with children. Tasks will include looking after our children while teaching them French, housework, helping to prepare our Airbnb accommodation and farmwork. Our preference would be to host someone who could stay for several months. 🐑 🐎 🐑 🐎 Helpers will work for 6 hours per day 5 days a week in return for food and accommodation. 🐑 🐎 🐎 🐑 Our farm is in the north-west of Ireland, in County Sligo. As well as horses and sheep, we have two alpacas, a pig, two dogs, two cats and some chickens! 🐎 Accommodation will be provided in a mobile home on the farm. It can be cold in winter so may be unsuitable for someone who feels the cold easily. Everyone must be autonomous and responsible enough to know how to clean and store the tools or things they have used, as well as to participate daily, outside helping time, in all the househo...

Hi, I am excited to be able to host again! I love living close to nature, co creating with my environment and doing my best to live with awareness. I enjoy simple things like food I have grown, good company, birdsong, swimming in the river, singing... I am an artist/musician and traveller. I like to do yoga and meditation most days. I am always happy to meet other travellers to share knowledge and life experience. As well as English I speak Italian. I now have a puppy living with me so it's helpful if you like dogs. Her name is Leia and she's very cute. I am looking for help on my property which I am developing as a nature retreat. It is a great place to re centre and recharge. It would suit people who are nature lovers who like being off the beaten track. There is no wifi or TV Sending and receiving texts is generally ok Phone reception maybe dependent on your phone or if the gods are happy! I enjoy meeting people from around the world to share knowledge, experiences, work and hope...
