Hello, my partner John & I, have had a wonderful time sharing our home with volunteers. We now have a vacancy from the end of august short or longer stays are welcome. We usually have 2 volunteers staying with us, each with their own bedroom. Volunteers can cover each others time off & share the tasks. We usually take volunteers out to places of interest, on a Saturday. We live as a family & enjoy many things together, with our volunteers, many of whom have become lasting friends. We live in a 4 bed modern dormer bungalow, in a beautiful village, with a shop & bus stop 3 minutes walk from the house. We live with my father, who is 89 years old and has moderate memory loss. My father is calm & relaxed. My father does like to have volunteers there, to watch television with him, so that he’s not alone & he enjoys helping volunteers improve their English pronunciation. Volunteers are also welcome to work on their laptops, while sitting with my father, he’s used to that & stil...

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

Hello. We are a small Llamas farm, located in the Pyrenees mountains. If you are looking for an original French experience, it could be the right place for you! Here in the high Pyrenees, near the Andorra & Spanish border, we offer you the possibility to live and work in a calm and isolated place, surrounded by high mountains and nothing but pure nature, and good meals "à la française" after our activities among our lamas (about 15 of them). We are a retired French couple, but we used to work and live in foreign countries and continents, which made us interested in people and cultures from all over the world. In the surroundings, there are beautiful places that we would be happy to make you discover, and if you want, we can trek together with Llamas... For your own, you get an entire and cosy apartment (2 bedrooms, 1 or 2 people, single or couple), and join us for generous meals, mostly with local products, that we like to share and appreciate together (so, no vegetarian requir...

2 Small farms turned into the one near the West Coast of Clare. We keep lots of farm animals like cattle, horses, donkeys and sheep. We produce a wide range of vegetables for ourselves and some for selling. We have two children, went to primary Steiner/ Waldorf school; Frank (25) and Fina(21) and they love having volunteers around the place. Fina is doing equine studies and Frank studies horticulture and loves travelling. We hope you have the ability to adapt to our for most of you different and simple life-style and enjoy farmwork with irregular hours at times, and you will get a true sense of farming life-style! It is important to realise beforehand that you are a volunteer who gets the opportunity to join into our family home/life so please do not compare with a regular paid job.. Most important is that you are happy and enjoy your stay with us... We offer healthy food, wonderful sunsets and rainbows, some Irish traditional music, and the possibility to learn more about old style f...

Hello, I live in Durham, which is part of "The Triangle," along with Raleigh and Chapel Hill. This area has an amazing amount of outdoor and cultural activities. You can subscribe to the "Triangle on the Cheap" newsletter to see daily listings of the various festivals, music, farmer's markets, sports events and other activities in the area, and my daughter and I can take you to various activities as well. The Raleigh-Durham airport (RDU) is 15 minutes away, and I can pick you up or drop you off at the airport, but to visit the wide range of activities in our area, you'll probably want your own transportation. In addition, I can provide a bike, and you can hop on the 27 mile American Tobacco bike trail which is only half a mile from my house, and three miles down the trail is Southpoint Mall, which is one of the nicest malls in the Triangle, with great shops, restaurants and a movie theater, so it's fun to bike there. There are also 2 Amtrak stations nearby in Durham and Cary, and many...

Looking for assistance NOW and from late March through summer 26. We moved north from Vancouver to escape the noise and the craziness and to find a spot to live in beauty. We found one and now are on the edge of nothing but more nothing all 400 km to the Pacific. We are 20 km outside of a small town halfway between nowhere and not much. Sharing that is a pleasure. Nearly everything we do now is in support of one thrill: adventures in food. But rural living out here in mid-nowhere means that there are endless other things to be tasked as well: construction, gardening, maintenance of many sorts, enhancing the natural beauty around us. Chances are that if you could describe a pure-fun, physical job, there would be something here I could offer that might satisfy those urges. If you want to work hard, eat marvelous meals and have a fabulous time in the gardens, the workshop and the kitchen, come join us and get a relaxing feel of rural life. PLUS, for all you thrill seekers/amateurs des s...

Looking for an adventure? Then come to my house in West Dawson City! I have been hosting help-xers for the past 10 years and trying to ensure they have an awesome time while in Dawson. FYI, we live off grid in West Dawson City. That means you have to take a ferry each day you want to come to Dawson City proper. Living off grid means I haul my own water and live 4 km from town and have bikes, canoe, and you have use of a truck! We love to camp and have taken help-xers to hike in Tombstone Park and visit the historic town of 40 Mile. I am easy going, humorous and busy as i work full time. I have a goal to be the best host ever! Check out helpers, Ulysses and Chloe's review as well as several others. And I'm not sure what I can say about Christoph and Lasse from Germany who stayed during most of the 2020 summer! Das ist gut! Hopefully you will become family as you fit in around the cabin and it would help if you like soccer as we are a soccer family! (I mean what other sport is t...

We invite you to volunteer and participate in creating a unique experience with us this summer. We organise, build and run a unique, tented, sustainable venue - a temporary outdoor eco-village in the West of England. We’re looking for people who like working hard, having fun, and being part of a community to get involved. Every summer since 1990, our trustees (all volunteers) and many other volunteers from all walks of life come together and create something truly inspiring! We are a temporary venue reflected by the three main phases of our season. The most diverse range of activities and greatest need for volunteers are during the setup and takedown of the site, but of course we also rely on our team of volunteers for the running of the events! You will be supported and encouraged to be involved in whatever you feel most comfortable doing, and we always appreciate new ideas and feedback - we are all about learning, participation, and celebration of individuals and community. Hi! We are a young couple, 25 and 26 years old, living on a sheep farm in the beautiful Reykhólasveit area in Westfjords Iceland. We have 450 sheep, 3 dogs, and 3 cats. We also take care of an eider duck colony. During the summer, the colony needs to be checked twice, and the eiderdown has to be collected, weighed, and taken for cleaning. A typical winter day involves feeding the sheep and making sure everything is running smoothly. There are always plenty of tasks to be done, both planned and unexpected. Spring is lambing season, which means we're on call 24/7. Tasks include monitoring the sheep, assisting with births when needed, cleaning, bottle-feeding lambs, tagging them, and eventually turning them out to pasture. You don't need to know how to do everything—we're happy to teach. What matters most is a genuine interest and a willingness to learn. Summer is haymaking season, along with a variety of general farm tasks and maintenance work. In the fall, the sheep are gathered fr...

This is an exciting opportunity to have an experience that will stay with you throughout your life. Our Foundation aims at helping rural children receive a qualitative outstanding education. We have a volunteer teaching program to assist rural teachers and children get exposure to foreign languages and cultures. Because English is the second language in Thai schools, we concentrate on improving the English language skills of both rural teachers and children. At present, we aim to help 4 public elementary schools (grades 1 - 6) close to Chiang Mai. We are currently taking applications for volunteers who would available to start sometime between now and the end of June and commit to at least 8 weeks . We are looking for volunteers to teach English only. Couples are welcome as well. NOTE: We do not charge volunteers any fees for staying with us. The generous gift of your time and dedication is all the donation we will ask of you. We provide the volunteers lodging and meals in retu...

Yassas ! So, we got this little piece of paradise. It is perfect as it is, so what we are about is to just make it more welcoming and playful, have fun while working on it, and all this time keeping it natural and harmonious. It isnt a business, but a playground. And so we gather a small eclectic team twice a year to work the land, its perfect as it is, but there is a vision, a place we can camp and cultivate facilities gradually while enjoying time together, doing, eating, chatting and chilling on the beach. *** The 11th session will take place spring 2026. A continuous stretch from may until mid june. Drop in style. Write me and we see if it fits *** The kind of projects we do (an endless list that grows faster than we knock it out) : Always pushing back the rebel wild bramble bush to free more olive/lemon trees from its tyranny, fixing terraces, planting or trimming trees, finish the design of the compost toilet, plant the veggie garden, build a fence, build a new storage door...

A room is available for your homestay. Because of the help I would like to ask, mature ladies who have enough experience/knowledge of handling house holding chores and cooking are welcome. No problem if you cannot cook Japanese dishes. Vegetarian is welcome only from summer to autumn. It's easy to talk about next step of your homestay if how long from when, how you can help, what you want to do during homestay in addition to help works are written in your request. I will reply to only applicants who read my profile and understand/satisfy requirements. I'm a 67 years old male living alone and have a small private organic vegetable garden. I am happy if someone can help me to maintain vegetable garden and household chores including cooking. I also can enjoy helping my guest to learn Japanese language. We can visit at sightseeing places/aesthetic landscape when we have free time. At the same time, I'm interested to hear your stories about helpx and learn foreign languages as well ...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. PLEASE NOTE WELL: we absolutely cannot host anyone with any pre-existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions), such as hay fever, any other allergies, sensitivities or intolerances. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our do...

Permaculture project with idea and space to create an eco-village. The quinta is located in Alto Alentejo 2km from Portalegre. 15 hectares with magical forests and a beautiful valley provided by seventeen sources and several mines with healthy water where too people live permanently for the moment,Isabel, a communication manager and Michel, a carpenter who is the founder of the project. There is also one dog, five cats, for chickens and six sheep. The project is now in the phase when it’s open so that more people can live here. Because parts of the ruins are ready for occupancy, there is space for people who want to stay longer, which can bring new and stronger dynamics throughout the year, not like before, when there was only a lot going on in the summer months. So far there is already a beautiful gardens going on and numerous species of plants, shrubs and trees which deliver us plenty of food.

We are restoring an old traditional Béarnaise house located at the foot of the Pyrenees in the Ouzom valley. We want to share it with people who can help us with the garden as well as with the house to maintain or restore it.

I live with my 2 children and dog in an old house in a beautiful part of North Wales. My children are home educated, they are 6 and 9. They love meeting new people, cycling, playing games, arts and crafts, sport. We live on a hill above a village, there is a shop/ post office in the village, and a community centre offering some groups and classes. We are close to the town of Llangollen which has a canal, railway, ruins of a castle, unesco world heritage sites, river and historic house, along with nice cafes, pubs, restaurants and shops. Chirk Castle is also close. There are lots of opportunities for walking, cycling and site seeing in the valley. We are about 1.5 hours from Manchester, Birmingham and Liverpool for your city fix, as well as Snowdonia and the North Wales coast. We are 45 minutes from the historic cities of Chester and Shrewsbury and half an hour from Oswestry or Wrexham. There is limited public transport. I am looking for some help with housework, cooking, playing with ...

We are happy when someone shows enthusiasm for the garden because this is a central part...
