Kia ora guys, We live in a small west coast beach village about 35-40 minutes from central Auckland called Muriwai Beach. It is one of NZ`s most stunning and wildest beaches. We have a half acre section that always needs little things doing and the house is slowly being worked on as well so experience in building or skilled labour is always cool as well as people who like to work in the gardens and landscape. We have a daughter who is 11 years old who loves playing in the outdoors, tending her veggie garden and meeting people from all over the world. If you like the beach and the wild west coast then I`m sure you will love it out here. I work in the television and film industry while my partner is a a musician. Drop us a line and tell us a bit about yourself and maybe you can come out and share some of the magic that we feel living here. Cheers. Toby, Moana and Manawanui.

creative technology professional, photographer, and audio-visual artist living in vibrant Amsterdam. When I'm not studying machine learning, organizing local creative projects, or producing music, I'm heavily involved in local sustainability and food waste reduction efforts. My schedule stays pretty packed between university, my creative portfolio work, and community projects, which is why I'm looking for an extra set of hands around the house. I am looking for a responsible, proactive helper who loves animals and doesn't mind rolling up their sleeves. 4 hours a day, primarily focused on general housekeeping, keeping the space clean and tidy, and taking excellent care of the cats (feeding, litter boxes, and giving them plenty of attention). In exchange for your 4 hours of daily help, you will receive free room, board, and food. The rest of the day is entirely yours! You’ll have plenty of time to explore Amsterdam’s canals, museums, and nightlife, work on your own creative projects, ...

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) , please don't come if you have a heavy cold or flu, I'm involved with the elderly. Cheers Al

We live on an alternative lifestyle block with "off grid", barn living. On the property we have a small organic banana farm which uses permaculture design principles and composted food waste from City to Farm — an initiative that gathers food scraps from urban areas and delivers them to nearby farms. We have horses, dogs, chickens, and graze cattle regeneratively. For accommodation we have a big barn space which can house a lot of people comfortably. Currently one young kiwi staying there. Where possible we grow and eat our own fruit and veges from our vege garden and our small grove of fruit trees. We also have 15 acres of regenerated native bush on our property which needs tending to. Our water is supplied from rain water, and a natural spring, and the property runs on solar. Meals will be vegetarian, happy to accommodate vegans as well! Most of your work will be in the bananas, but there will also be the opportunity to work with the animals, in the bush, in the vege garden/orchar...

We are a cultural and arts community that is working towards being self-sustained. The community is situated in the mountains of Monchique, Portugal surrounded by nature. Our community provides an alternative way of living with permaculture gardens, farm animals, sustainability projects, and arts and cultural workshops. It is a great place to come to meet other like-minded people if you are passionate about sustainability and alternative living. We hold community meetings throughout the week alongside activities and workshops, such as quiz nights, dance nights and yoga classes. If you have something you are passionate about and want to share with others, we would love for you to run a workshop. One of the best things here is the variety of tasks you can do as a volunteer, which gives you the opportunity to learn new skills and discover what you enjoy doing most. We have a combination of short-term and long-term volunteers and on average we have between 10 to 20 volunteers and resident...

Permaculture project with idea and space to create an eco-village. The quinta is located in Alto Alentejo 2km from Portalegre. 15 hectares with magical forests and a beautiful valley provided by seventeen sources and several mines with healthy water where too people live permanently for the moment,Isabel, a communication manager and Michel, a carpenter who is the founder of the project. There is also one dog, five cats, for chickens and six sheep. The project is now in the phase when it’s open so that more people can live here. Because parts of the ruins are ready for occupancy, there is space for people who want to stay longer, which can bring new and stronger dynamics throughout the year, not like before, when there was only a lot going on in the summer months. So far there is already a beautiful gardens going on and numerous species of plants, shrubs and trees which deliver us plenty of food. We are happy when someone shows enthusiasm for the garden because this is a central part...

Winter is getting closer and after a nice summer enjoying green grass, the last sheep which are in the mountains will have to come back in the barn. So we would need people to help us to feed the sheep and clean the barn after them and of course, pet them! The shearers will come for a couple of days in November so if you want to help us to get the sheep ready for their new winter outfit, text us ! There is also free time to enjoy hot spots and swimming pool to relax! You can of course text even if you're available another time of the year, we need people around all year long ! Message us on WhatsApp or on HelpX. My WhatsApp number is above. Send me (Caroline, who runs the HelpX) a message (here, on WhatsApp or Instagram caroline.lsgt). You can also message Beggi (the farmer) directly via Facebook (Alexander Flumbri), named after Beggi's cat! Profile picture is of the cat as well (Beggi doesn't have that many hair!)! Where to start? We are a family in the western part of Iceland, a...

We are a family of 5 - Aaron (lawyer), Sarah (Start Up Business Mentor), Chloe (18), Molly (16) and our labrador Maggie who loves all of our guests.. Everyone is sporty - from Aaron and Sarah's running to the girls' hockey, dance and surf lifesaving. We have a 1.5acre property that is mostly native bush, 5 minutes walk from Plimmerton Beach and the train station to Wellington (train takes 25-30 mins). We'd love to host you for 2 - 5 days, room and food included in exchange for 3 - 4 hours' work per day. It could be working on the property (always lots of weeding, clearing to be done), cooking meals, housework (spring cleaning!), walking the dog when we're out of time... there is a long and pretty easy list of jobs that can be done around here! Right now we have a big project on clearing and re-planting our paddock in native trees, so there will probably be some helping with landscaping. While family life is busy, especially during the week, we'd love to include you in any activiti...

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karatƩ (three times per week) and would be happy t...

We are the best of friends who live together and run a 24-hour restaurant in Oneonta, New York. We built our Deli with our own hands, using old rustic barn wood and other recycled materials. We love working together to serve good, wholesome food in a warm, encouraging environment — a haven from the storms of life. Our community is part of a worldwide network of communities, many of which also run restaurants, organic farms, and cottage industries where volunteers are also welcome to live and work with us. We all work together in our houses and at our Deli. There is a lot to do in maintaining a community. We have two large houses where we live and the Deli always needs constant care and attention. We enjoy having guests and volunteers who want to get to know us by living and working with us. We gather together every morning (at 7am) and evening (at 6pm) to express whatever is on our hearts. We sing a wide variety of songs we've written and we dance there to express our joy. We give...

Looking for a lovely volunteer(s) to join us and our animals. AVAILABILITY FROM early October. We are fully booked until then. Please contact us if you are interested in helping look after our wonderful animals. Experience with horses is useful but not necessary as long as you are happy to care for them. Depending on the time of year, we also run a small scale rescue and rehabilitation centre for hedgehogs. Hola todas! My place is an old grain mill with half a hectare of land. I live here for more than 17 years and hosted many volunteers. Work is mostly in the garden. Weeding, digging, planting, watering, harvesting and off course eating. There is a big cat family living on the land. Help in the kitchen is welcome. Special dietary requirements must be met by the helpers. In the area there are many activities possible. More yoga teachers than there are yoga students. Meditations, dancing, healing, massage, channeling, singing,....! Many communities of all sorts (hippy, midwives, subud, soefie). Hiking in all directions. Even skiing starting beginning of December. I try to keep a healthy environment, so no drugs that cloud your spirit. No dogs either. People mostly stay between one and two weeks. Work is about 5 days a week, 4 hours a day. Food and lodging included. Flexible. Work depends on peoples abilities. Any questions? Always happy to explain! Ruud

Welcome! Our family owned and operated certified organic livestock farm in North Central British Columbia is excited to have you stay and become a part of everything we have going on. We’ve been operating since 2008, primarily raising Berkshire pigs, Dexter cattle, Katahdin sheep, laying hens, broiler chickens and of course bronze breasted turkeys for thanksgiving and Christmas. On top of that, we’re home to two Labrador retrievers (Ned and Nelly), 3 outdoor cats, 2 guard alpacas and a family of Muscovy ducks. In other words, you will never find yourself not in the company of animals! Aside from livestock, we have recently built a small farm store / cafĆ© that cooks the meat raised on the farm. We also take pride in creating all recipes from scratch, from the sauces to the buns of the burgers. Currently only operating during the summer months, 3 days per week. It’s been a lot of work, but a great way to get more people out to the farm, eating good food and connecting with the community...

Hello and welcome to our profile :). If you are reading this and have not yet read our reviews - please do so. We were very disappointed to receive the latest review which as you can see, is in total contrast to all others received over the past ten or more years. We do hope that you can look beyond this and speak with us about any concerns you may have in advance of committing to a stay here. We can absolutely guarantee that we are not the kind of people that we have been made out to be, and because of this we have attempted to address all points made although we wish we had not been 'forced' to do so by one person who did not find the experience to her satisfaction. Thank you if you are still reading. Currently seeking single person from 16th August onwards. If you are not available until later, and would like to reserve a place with us please drop us a message and we will chat and try and save your preferred dates. Ideally, a minimum commitment of at least one month is neces...

Hello! We’re Clara and Fabien. After having some amazing experiences abroad as HelpX helpers ourselves, we thought it was time to become hosts and welcome travellers into our home. We live in a small mountain village in the heart of the AriĆØge Pyrenees. If you enjoy nature and being outdoors, you’ll probably love it here. In winter, there are ski resorts nearby, snowshoeing, beautiful walks, and plenty of hiking trails starting right from the village. We can host one person or a couple. We’re not looking for perfect helpers—just people who are easygoing, respectful, curious, and happy to share a bit of their daily life with us. During the winter season, we’ll need some help with our Nordic hot tubs. The work is pretty straightforward: getting the tubs ready for guests, carrying and stacking wood, keeping the area tidy, and helping with a few everyday tasks. We’ll explain everything, so no experience is needed. In exchange, we’ll share meals, spend time together, and happily show y...

There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. Hello! We are Andrew and Gail We are a British couple who made the move to France many years ago in search of a different way of life. What began as an adventure renovating old buildings by ourselves has grown into a life we love in the beautiful Livradois-Forez Regional Natural Park, one of France's best-kept secrets. Before settling here, we spent years traveling, volunteering, and exploring different cultures. We spent extensive time on the road traveling by motorcycle, volunteering on community projects, and meeting wonderful people along the way. Those experiences taught us how rewarding cultural exchange can be, and they continue to shape the way we welcome helpers today. For more than twenty years we have been exploring and falling in love with this remarkable region. We now run three holiday homes in and around the village of Le Monestier, welcoming guests who come here to enjoy nature, walking, cycling, photography, local culture, and the simple pleasure of being surrounded ...

Groenendaal is a beautiful, hilly area of the municipality of Hoeilaart, with beautiful old villas and at a 2-minute walk from the vast Forest de Soignes. There I live, together with my two dogs Eity and Kira, in a spacious house surrounded by garden and forest land. To maintain that large garden and the forest, I would like the help of someone who is not necessarily specialised in gardening, but who likes some solid outdoor work. Indoors, too, there are some clearance tasks on the to-do list. As my mobility is currently somewhat limited due to circumstances, I would at the moment really appreciate some practical help in housekeeping as well as entertaining company. The helper (or helpers), preferably someone who loves dogs, will have his own room, bathroom and toilet. Groenendaal station is a 10-minute walk away, and the train will take you into the center of Brussels, the European capital, in half an hour. Needless to say, there is plenty to do there. In the garden, there is work all...

🌿 French–Kiwi family near Auckland, beach lifestyle & home projects We’re a French–Kiwi family of three , with our 7 year-old son and two cats — living just 30 minutes north of Auckland and only a 1-minute walk from a beautiful beach. 🌊 Over the last 3 years, we’ve welcomed several French woofers into our home, and we’ve had some really great experiences and made some lovely connections. šŸ‡«šŸ‡·ā¤ļø We’ve now finished the big renovation work on our house, but there are still plenty of little finishing touches to do and, as always, a garden and a home to maintain. šŸŒæšŸ” šŸ›  What we need help with • Gardening and outdoor maintenance • Small painting and finishing jobs • Organising, tidying and general help around the house • A bit of DIY and whatever needs doing at the time We both work, so during the day the house is generally quiet and you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy the area, the beach or do your own thing. We’re usually bacj on the afternoon, so we can then share a nice meal, ...

With its vibrant cultural scene, world-class museums, historic landmarks, countless cafƩs, parks, and excellent public transport, Berlin is the perfect place to experience urban life while enjoying a welcoming home environment. I would kindly ask you to help with painting, fencing, gardening, sweeping leaves, cleaning and maintaining the house, as well as feeding and caring for the animals. There is plenty of space to relax and enjoy your free time. You will have your own private room, and I will provide breakfast and one warm meal each day. If you enjoy cooking in a holistic and nutritious way, you are more than welcome to do so. I am always happy to share my knowledge about healthy food and learn from others as well.

We give...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. PLEASE NOTE WELL: we absolutely cannot host anyone with any pre-existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions), such as hay fever, any other allergies, sensitivities or intolerances. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees.
