Nestled in the coastal range of Mendocino County, California (about 45 minutes Northwest of Ukiah where the weather is more pleasant) we are establishing a small farm and wildlife sanctuary.  Based on principles of sustainability & permaculture our expanding ridge top garden and orchards consist of a variety of fruits, veggies, herbs and flowers.  Aside from garden and orchard tasks additional projects may include gathering seaweed and other native wild foods, cooking, canning, fermenting foods, making herbal preparations, habitat restoration, brush and trail clearing, small scale green building and learning how to build and maintain an off-grid infrastructure and solar system. Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Hi, I am Tika. I am a teacher at the local government secondary school in Maipokhari village. I am living with my family in Sandakpur-3, Maipatal village in the Ilam district. There are 4 family members in our family. Me, my wife (dika), son (suman) and a daughter (sudha). The village is located around 600km from Kathmandu with an altitude of 2225 mt.
