Hello travellers, and a warm welcome to beautiful Olinda - I am Vita and delighted to host you. **Currently seeking Helper/s who can work in the garden or use a chainsaw to cut fire wood. Or a carpenter who can help repair weather damaged external timber windows. Or someone with mechanical experience to service chainsaw and lawn mowers. Or a Helper with sewing skills and can use a sewing machine. Or a helper who can restore and refinish furniture. I appreciate self-starters and Helpers with initiative, who do not always need to be told what to do and are capable of putting in a full days work. Weeding and garden work is always a go-to if you are waiting instructions. Helpers will sometimes be left to work by themselves as I don’t always have time to supervise them. Therefore, Helpers who can help with l...

CURRENTLY SEEKING A COUPLE, single male or female from early March 2026 onwards, but please feel free to ask if you have some availability either now or in the future. A MINIMUM COMMITMENT of at least one month is required please. It takes about 2 weeks to settle in and learn things plus shorter stays do not allow you to fully experience all that is on offer in our beautiful area. Katie and I own a small crofting home in the rural heart of the Scottish West Highlands in a tiny village called Lochailort and we need help all year round. A good understanding of the English language is necessary. This location is not ideal for improving or learning English, as interaction with us and others can be limited. We are always looking for willing, reliable, pro-active, self motivated and enthusiastic volunteers :) Please whatsapp our mobile number or leave a message here if you are interested in a placement with us. We are particularly keen on couples with the male having some basic building o...

We are a family of 4 (3 kids and dad),we live in an old farmhouse that we are renovating for the second time following a fire. At the same, we're trying to start a small self-sufficient farm. We have some animals and a piece of land half covered by a small wood. We need budding animal breeders, vegetable gardeners, horse whisperers, lumberjacks, tree-planters, fence builders, carpenters, joiners, bricklayers...or simply people willing to work on the land! We live one hour away from Toulouse, half an hour from Montauban or Gaillac. There are lots of pretty little medieval villages to see around our place and beautiful landscape to discover. You will need a driving licence if you wish to borrow a vehicle. You can also cycle to the nearby village&lake. We can offer several beds/mattresses in the house with shared facilities. There's also room for camping in tents/camper vans. We can cater for special dietary needs within reason. No smoking in the house.

My garden and my heart will be open to welcome you beautiful people from 28th April... I'm looking forward to another bountiful year and invite you to join me. I'm looking for someone who would like to come and "play" in the garden, often with me but sometimes alone, to help with the creation and maintenance of this garden. (there's a shakey tour in "videos" so you can see what's unfolding this year) We've got just under 1 acre, it's a work in progress, and I'm loving it. I have no expertise, just bags of enthusiasm. I'm a "get stuck in" and see what happens kinda person. I'm not after a Chelsea Medal, just a garden that speaks the language of my soul, that will feed us and be a source of solace and pleasure for anyone who visits. I am inspired by and loosely follow Biodynamic and No Dig principles. No specific expertise needed... a willingness to "do", a love of gardening (or learning about it!), the great outdoors and respect for each other and our planet, along with a sense o...

We are a mature aged couple working from home and are looking to find an enthusiastic couple, or single person, who can help with general garden maintenance , eg weeding, spraying blackberries and wood splitting etc. In return, we are offering a private room and own bathroom ( see in photos below) in our lovely home. Accomodation and all meals are provided. ( free wi-fi is also available). We are in a quiet and secluded bush setting, and often have kangaroos and wallabies feeding on our property, but still only 3km from the main highway and station. (Melb CBD is 1 hour via train.) It is essential that you are a dog lover! (We have 2) Our 2 Whippets are quite old now, but very friendly and lazy! This would be an excellent opportunity for anyone requiring 2 weeks of accommodation, possibly longer, to share our easy going family life style. We are DEFINITELY a NON SMOKING household, and would prefer not to cater for vegetarians only. The work involves weeding, moving mulch, splitting...

Townsville is a tourist hub, with access to beach, mountains, reef, rainforest and bush. Cranbrook is a leafy suburb across the river from the university, close to Riverway (free freshwater swimming lagoon, with art gallery) and shops, and on the bus route. There are large trees around my house, and there is always gardening or raking to do. My mother lives in a house 3 minutes away, and I help her with her garden. Accommodation is a granny flat with a powder room attached. There is a fold out double couch, plus a single bed mattress if required. You will share the bathroom and kitchen - in exchange for gardening, maintenance, painting, cooking or housework. Must love dogs - my dogs like to oversee human pursuits like digging, weeding and walking. I can assist with transport to local hiking spots, beach, or parks, or can pick you up from train or bus station. Prefer helpers who are non-smokers with family-friendly values, and able to work unsupervised when I go out. Also, To...

We are a family of three and live on an old dairy farm. There is a 2 bedroom cottage that we live in, some outbuildings that we are restoring and joining to the cottage to make a larger family home. There is some land around the property that we would like to create some growing spaces and places of fun for our 7 year old. We have 3 chickens and a cockerel, a dog and cat. We did have 2 barn owls from April last year up until February this year living in the doocot, but sadly they have moved on. A wee project might be building a barn owl box to go in the doocot and hopefully they will come back! There is a spacious static caravan at the back with great views of the glen and fields. This has 2 bedrooms and is a self contained living space with open plan lounge and kitchen with dining area. We are looking for a family or a couple to get involved in the garden with possible opportunities to help with the build too. I currently describe the garden as a place that I am rewilding, I'm overwh...

Hello Everyone, We've been hosting through helpx for over 10 years. We enjoy learning about cultures and people from all over the world. We have the pleasure of living on 350+ acres of natural bush country in Brooweena, Queensland. We have converted a bus to a tiny home, and we are currently building a shipping container home, this is a priority and would love people to help. We also grow a lot of our own food and have fruit trees. We are 100% off-grid with all our electricity from solar and tanks, dam, and rain for water. We have a friendly dog who loves to play. Our goal is to be as self-sufficient as possible, improve the soil, and regenerate the land to a healthy ecosystem. We use Permaculture Design methods. This means we don't use any chemical sprays, artificial fertilizer or mono-cropping on our land and live the values of Earth Care, People Care and Fair Share. It's a very exciting time for us to be embarking on our farming adventure, and we would like to share this t...

Hi beautiful people! I’m Christine, a happy spirited former language and arts teacher working across two continents. Since I retired I work in the natural health field. I live on an urban block called The Roo‘s Pouch, where I maintain a sustainable vegetable garden and created a community of nice people living with me. I live in one of the three buildings on this sunny property which runs on rainwater harvesting. We avoid chlorine and contaminates by filtering, harmonizing and ionizing our water. So water conservation is part of life for me. The corner block is in a suburb of Maryborough. There are 3 beautiful public parks surrounding with lots of kangaroos hopping peacefully around, near to the Mary River. The historic city of Maryborough has a lot to offer and is the home town of Mary Poppins. We are only 30 min by car from the ocean in Hervey Bay with wale watching when in season. Hervey Bay is at the doorsteps of Fraser Island/K’Gari. I offer for single or couple a bedroom wit...

Kia Ora. I run an Angora goat farm just outside Oxford in North Canterbury. I have 180 very cute goats which I shear for fibre twice per year. I also farm sheep and cattle. I farm in a sustainable way and have been trialling some regenerative agricultural practices. I am a keen outdoors person, love walking and climbing and often take helpers tramping, sightseeing, rock climbing or even rafting! I am looking for helpers from 1st April 2026. Jobs include farm work, gardening, housekeeping, servicing and cleaning my AirBnB and learning about our farming systems. You would have your own room and receive all your food in return for 4-5 hours work per day. Those are the typical Helpx conditions. There are usually other Helpxers at the farm and we work, eat and live as a family , sharing housework and cooking tasks. I look forward to welcoming you to the farm!

We are both retired and live in a converted barn in about two acres of land. The nearest town is Villefranche de Rouergue which is ten kilometres away. We have lived in France long enough to appreciate what we call proper food so. we strive to vary the diet so that no main meal is repeated for at least 14 days (unless specially requested) It may be French, it may be British, or it may be a mixture of French and British and on occasions you will taste the local delicacies We are very flexible about working hours all we ask is that in return for five hours work per day, five days a week, at a time to suit yourself, we will provide you with good healthy tasty food and a private comfortable room which has TV and en-suite facilities, If you are a couple who wish complete privacy, we could provide you with a separate self-contained apartment. Must be non-smoker and we find that feeding vegans is difficult. Please note. If you want to practice your English, then we are your ideal hosts a...

Hi, we’re Terry (64) & Tricia (56)! We live on a beautiful 5 acre lifestyle property in Yandaran, about 35 km north of Bundaberg. Yandaran is a small rural village surrounded by farmland, offering a relaxed country atmosphere. We love showing people around our wonderful area - you can enjoy fishing, catching mud crabs, exploring freshwater river crossings, and visiting a beautiful beach only minutes away. We’re looking for some help putting the finishing touches on our property- small fencing jobs for animal yards, establishing lawn and garden areas and a few homestead projects. We offer accommodation in our 21 foot caravan, complete with own toilet and bathroom. We haven’t hosted for a few years, but we have previous experience as hosts and made many friends around the world because of it - and we look forward to meeting many more!

A wonderfully unique opportunity (but, not for everyone) : We're a well-established intentional community, based on mindfulness and conscious living, in the mountains between Santa Fe and ABQ, New Mexico. Music, theater, performing arts, creative projects, healthy living/wellness, meditation, spiritual growth and intentional movement are all cornerstones of our existence. Keywords that describe our chosen way of living: Laughter, kindness, respect to all, enthusiasm, organic, fun, inspiring, collaborative, focused on becoming our best selves to be available for service to others. We'd welcome folks interested in experiencing our community...who enjoy participating in and helping with a variety of projects in a positive and creative environment! We are always juggling a myriad of projects....and enjoy aligning the best projects with the best individuals offering to help. Projects vary from day to day but may include include cleaning, painting, building/construction, gardening/landsca...

Hello Everyone, We've been hosting through helpx for over 10 years. We enjoy learning about cultures and people from all over the world. We have the pleasure of living on 350+ acres of natural bush country in Brooweena, Queensland. **We are looking for helpers in May, June, July, September and early October. ** Hello, we are a small organic wine and fruit farm in the South of Germany, run by a middle aged couple (Monika and Sven) since 2008. Our products are spirits from our fruit that are produced in our distillery (we were awarded "best distillery of the state"), wine and honey from our bees. Also we organise wine tastings and group events. Lately we added a little craft beer brewery and we open our beer garden in the months June and July. - - - - Depending on your home country you might need a "Schengen"-visa. It is then valid for most European countries. There is no volunteer visa or something like that. You come here as a tourist. So before getting in touch with us, please check if you can meet the visa requirements, especially if you come from an African or Asian country.

"I'm an early retired gentleman with a wonderful garden. I have 2 free bedrooms for my volunteer guests. I can accommodate 2 people but no couples please. I have many years experience with people staying in my home and enjoy their energy and both learning from them and sharing my life experience with them. I seek people with a high level of conversational English, ideally C1 English where we can engage freely and exchange ideas and learn from each other. Ideally, helpers would have an open and curious personality, meaning that they are happy to share and their ideas about the world we live and particularly a love of nature especially plant life.. I particularly admire artists, writers and musicians. My priority is to have some company and energy in my home. Activities include long walks, board games, tending garden, watching TV shows and conversations. In general the active time will be 5 hours a day / 5 days a week.
