We are looking for two people for a week. We do have some weeding/gardening to do. We are also looking for someone with building and practical experience with building or fencing, building steps, planting/gardening and who enjoy physical, mostly outdoor work. Our jobs require practical experience, or willingness to learn - gardening, cleaning, spraying, weed-eating, washing the house, windows etc. We don't currently have airbnb guests so you would get to stay in the luxury airbnb unless we get a booking, then you would either sleep in a sofa bed in the cabin or if you prefer your van and just use our shared spaces. We love hosting travelers and enjoy also getting jobs done on our list. With having 10 acres to care for, there is always something to do. Ideally you would have a vehicle as we do live rurally. We will give you food and accommodation in exchange for 4 hours of work. We love having first time helpers and help you map out your journey in the north or just help y...

We are a cultural and arts community that is working towards being self-sustained. The community is situated in the mountains of Monchique, Portugal surrounded by nature. Our community provides an alternative way of living with permaculture gardens, farm animals, sustainability projects, and arts and cultural workshops. It is a great place to come to meet other like-minded people if you are passionate about sustainability and alternative living. We hold community meetings throughout the week alongside activities and workshops, such as quiz nights, dance nights and yoga classes. If you have something you are passionate about and want to share with others, we would love for you to run a workshop. One of the best things here is the variety of tasks you can do as a volunteer, which gives you the opportunity to learn new skills and discover what you enjoy doing most. We have a combination of short-term and long-term volunteers and on average we have between 10 to 20 volunteers and resident...

Hi beautiful people! I’m Christine, a happy spirited former language and arts teacher working across two continents. Since I retired I work in the natural health field. I live on an urban block called The Roo‘s Pouch, where I maintain a sustainable vegetable garden and created a community of nice people living with me. I live in one of the buildings on this sunny property which runs on rainwater harvesting. We avoid chlorine and contaminates by filtering, harmonizing, and energizing our own water though Ionisation. Water conservation is part of life for me. You can come to Maryborough via plane, bus or train. The Hervey Bay Airport is only 30min from my home. There are meanwhile several bus companies to choose from. If you use the train please book Maryborough town from the drop down menu. The shuttle bus from the train station in Maryborough west (20 min out of town) is free of charge if it is pre-booked. As international travelers you qualify for a concession card on Queensland tr...

Aloha and welcome to my Hawaiian-owned and operated farmstay, a small, homesteading project rooted in Native Hawaiian values, sustainability, and a true farm-to-table way of life. My goal is to grow, harvest, and share food directly from the ʻāina, providing nourishment for ourselves and our La Hui. while learning how to live simply, mindfully, and in harmony with the land. Situated on one acre on the east side of Hawaii. This māla produces tropical fruits, heirloom vegetables, and fresh eggs, all cultivated with care, presence, and respect for indigenous land stewardship practices. Helpers are invited to participate in planting, tending, harvesting, and preparing meals together, gaining hands-on knowledge of self-sufficiency, food sovereignty, and sustainable living. This is not a tourist experience, but a cultural exchange centered on healing through food, community, and Mālama i ke ʻĀina—caring for the land so it may care for us in return.

We are an operating farm. Mostly silviculture. We farm mostly trees. We are situated in one of the largest Cork Tree areas in the world.Mediterranean forest ecoystems are considered one of the most important ecosystems right after Virgin Forests. We also have lots of pine trees both for lumber and also for pine nuts. Cork and pine nut trees are a very sustainable resource as their lifespan is over 200 years and they produce cork and pine nuts during that time. We pride ourselves for being an environmentally responsible farm and we enjoy teaching volunteers and visitors about what we do. We are a Forest Stewardship Council certified farm. FSC is a worldwide recognized organization that certifies socially and environmentally respectful organizations like ours, that harbour and follow, strict guidelines for workers, neighbouring populations and the environment. We are audited on a regular basis. We.previously lived in Boreen Point on the Sunshine Coast where we hosted many helpers through helpx with amazing reviews over a period of 17years.. Most never wanted to leave. We have now moved and bought an equally stunning property in Far North Queensland in a small country town (Cardwell) on 3 acres 10 minutes from beach. We are located between Cairns and Townsville and just south of Mission Beach. Terry and I are not as young as we used to be and are struggling with maintaining the property. We need help for 4hours a day, with weeding, mulching, pruning and watering the gardens and general house cleaning. We back onto tropical rainforest and creek. Help around the inside of property would also be helpful. You will have your own bedroom and own bathroom (1 queen for couples and 2 queens for singles). The fridge will be stocked for you to prepare your own breakfast and lunch and we all sit together for evening meals which I will prepare. There are many stunning waterfalls and walk...

Our home is a certified organic beef cattle farm. For 30 years we also operated a vineyard from this site and produced our own wine. We are now in the process of completing some tasks to close our winery and replace the vineyard area with native vegetation. A stay on our farm provides an authentic Australian experience, being surrounded by nature and wildlife, including a huge range of bird species, as well as indigenous heritage sites, a wetland, walking trail, and the experience of being away from the craziness of the city. We are looking for volunteer helpers from early November 2026, for a week or two, to help with some simple tasks to close our winery and help clear the remaining vineyard infrastructure. Jobs would include cleaning equipment and our old winery space, labelling the last of our wine bottles, and loading and stacking vineyard posts. If time permits you could also help maintain the vegetable garden, do a little bit of painting around the house, and perhaps assist wi...

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) , please don't come if you have a heavy cold or flu, I'm involved with the elderly. Cheers Al

I am professional early retired gentleman in my early 60's who lives in a 4 bedroom house with a substantial garden. I seek a helper who will assist with maintaining garden and house and be an engaging companion. House usually has other residents - either tenants or volunteers so there is almost always a little community atmosphere. A private room is provided to all volunteers and house has excellent modern facilities. Also, we often play puzzles, play chess and watch tv movies and TV shows. Listening and sharing music is also a constant activity. Finally walking around Dublin city and exploring the local area is something we do.

Hey hey HelpX'ers! 😊 I'm Scotty, a 31-year-old Kiwi who has spent over five years travelling the world, visiting more than 60 countries and doing HelpX and working holidays in several of them. Those experiences were some of the highlights of my travels, so now it's my turn to return the favour and host! Our farm is a little slice of paradise. We're just 5 minutes from the beach and 5 minutes from town, but tucked away enough to enjoy peace, quiet, beautiful sunsets, and some of the best starry skies you'll ever see. I'm hoping to welcome people who value kindness, respect, good conversation, and enjoying the simple things in life. My goal is to create an easy-going environment where work gets done, but having a great experience together is just as important. The work is a relaxed mix of farm, lifestyle, and general property jobs. We have cattle, sheep, chickens, our friendly cat Molly, gardens, an orchard, and there's always something different happening, so no two days are ever ...

We are a family of four living on a lifestyle block in the beautiful Wairarapa, with the entrance to the Tararua Forest park just up the road. There you will find some great tramping, walking, mountain biking and a cool swing bridge across the river and a great swimming hole during summer. On our block we have a small herd of cattle, some sheep, a lamb and a pony along side many birds living in the local landscape. We are presently looking for helpers for painting, gardening and looking after animals. We ask for an average of three hours of work a day in exchange for food and accommodation. The accommodation best suits a couple. We are 15 mins drive from Greytown and Carterton. Non-smokers only please. Please let us know if you have any special food requirements or allergies which might need to be considered during your stay.

We have a 400 hectare Sheep, Beef and Cropping farm in Marlborough. We have two boys and need an extra pair of hands from time to time to help on the farm, around the garden or inside the house. We prefer one person or a couple as we only have one spare room in the house. Also you must be able to speak good English and be able to drive a manual (not automatic) vehicle. We always need help with feeding pet lambs, lambing, tailing lambs (alot of lifting) cattle work, sheep shearing, firewood and fencing. We LOVE it if you can bake and cook too :)

We operate a small husband and wife online plant nursery and in our free time we enjoy taking a wwoofer or 2 out on regular boating trips catching barramundi and reef fish, crocodile spotting, fishing and exploring the islands, snorkeling around the Great Barrier Reef and Whale and Dolphin spotting, ... so we would prefer folks that have an interest in boating/fishing and happy to tie their own fishing knots and set the anchor and dont get sea-sick....The more enthusiastic you are to help preparing the boats and cleaning up after the trips the more enthusiastic we are to take you out.... and the boating when the weather suits is a reward for your hard work in helping us out....we prefer to host people for 2 weeks or longer and this will give the best chance of getting the full experience as well as making a meaningful contribution to our lives and property.. From mid- September we would particularly love to host one or 2 people to help out around the garden, plant nursery and farm/or...

I’m a single mum with shared custody of a wonderful 13 year old daughter, plus a little dog, looking for someone to join us from the 20th of September and ideally stay for 6 weeks (or more). I am self-employed in an import/export business, and have a large house and garden, the care of which get away from me without assistance. The help needed is with day-to-day housework, and preparing/planting the garden for our summer veggies! It's basically just regular house and gardening work, but with a house the size of mine it's too much for a single person with a busy business. Someone who’s a bit handy and could undertake a few little fix-it jobs would be an added bonus. I work full-time, and in the weeks my daughter is with me I sometimes need assistance to get her to her various activities, so a full driver's license is required. My elderly mum occasionally needs to be driven places as well - she's a fun lady who provides vibrant and lively conversation. Last (but not least) is our do...

Update 31 August 2026: Need help to build some retaining walls and upgrade a garden area to be a flat lawn. We have a separate little tiny house on wheels with access to a fully equipped kitchen for Helpers' accommodation in Kerikeri/Bay of Islands. It’s very cosy to live in. We need help with maintenance of our property (house & garden). This includes gardening, tree-trimming, clean-up, and some painting. Are you interested to be part of our projects? Good command of English or German required. Fishing from our pedal boat, kayaking, swimming and hiking are great as off-work activities here. In 2016 we have moved up north to Kerikeri to a 2+ acres life-style block. Since then we have built a large veggie garden (to enrich our carnivorous diet) and a chicken coop, a tiny house on wheels, a farmers garden and a solar power system. Maintenance and landscaping projects are always waiting for help. We are a couple, have cats and are a non-smoking household. The tiny house is very comfor...

Hello, Bonjour, we have been living in Banks peninsula for more than 15 years and loving it. We are a family of three, a biologist, a conservationist nature guide and a 6 year old French kiwi kid. We feel home here, a little village like in Europe with a great community, overlooking the splendid bay where orcas, dolphins, penguins and other wildlife visit sometimes. We will be happy to show you around and suggest walks or activities to do in the surroundings and beyond to the southern Alps, where we go skiiing, biking and tramping. You will stay in a bedroom with a queen bed and its ensuite bathroom, with view on the sea and hills. You can enjoy the sunny deck to relax. We are located 10 min drive from Akaroa, 1h from Christchurch. Best to have your own vehicle, but you can probably hitch hike to get anywhere. We will share our kitchen and all the cooking utensils and cutlery you need, as long as you clean after you. We are happy to share meals if you want. We also enjoy games night ...

Tena koe, nau mai, haramai ki Tokomaru Bay, a small, predominately Maori seaside community on the East Coast. We live on a four acre lifestyle block in the peaceful Kaiawha Valley about a two minute drive from the village and the beach. There is a 4 Square Supermarket, a cafe and a tavern in the village. We have a room with a queen bed in a sleep out, with helpers own separate lounge/kitchenette. Access to washing machine. The bathroom is inside the main house located a few metres away.
