We grow an array of beautiful produce which includes carrots, tomatoes, strawberries, zucchini, brussel sprouts, romanesco, broccoli, potatoes, rhubarb, onions, beets, and many more. All of the vegetables we sell at local farmers markets are grown by us and are free of pesticides, GMOs, and chemicals. We not only believe that people should feel connected to their food, but we also feel that it should be delicious, healthy, and accessible. Work on the farm varies by season. In the Spring we spend our time prepping the field, sewing seeds, growing transplants, cultivating those seeds in the field, weeding, and watering. As we move into summer and fall helpers will have the opportunity to harvest and sell the fruits and vegetables that have been growing the past few months at the local farmers’ markets.

Welcome to Atelier Hillfon and our restaurant Café Boule! The house is an old alcohol brewery from the beginning of the 19th century. For the last 50 years the house has been an art studio and gallery of our father and artist Curt Hillfon who passed away in 2018. We are now three siblings that has inherited the house and we all work with different art craft like, ceramics, painting, glassblowing and jewellery making. We are also a culture meeting point for art, music and food. During the summer we arrange concerts and other events. One of the family member is building a ceramic ateljé. And will also give ceramic classes. Two years ago we opened a restaurant named Café Boule. We serve pizza made in a wood fire oven, we rent out petanque courts and serve wine and beer. This is an old country house in need of a handy man to make some small renovating jobs. Help in the house, maintenance 4 hours a day, 5 days a week, flexible on the time table. There are nice mountain tracks to walk. The house is at 14km from Gandia and at 18km from the beach. In exchange for your help I would give accommodation and meals. We are a certified organic vegetable farm that produces food for local consumption. We need volunteers for lambing season until end of May/beginning of June. Come help us lamb all of our sheep and experience the wonders of life! Assist over 500 sheep in giving birth and bottle feed tiny little lambs and all the other disgusting and cute things that go along with it. Lambing season is hard work and we work in shifts of 8 hours, but with 7-10 volunteers living in the house you’ll have time for fun in the sun, 2 days off each week with a household shift (cooking and cleaning). Lambing truly is a once in a lifetime experience and a great opportunity to learn about farming, sheep, and Iceland in general.
