Regenerative Rainforest Refuge - Therapy, Group Facilitation, Holistic Retreat & Regenerative Learning Centre, Eco-Village We are inviting you to come and stay and help with the building, development and running of this project, consisting of a 3 acre smallholding, a 1.5 acre orchard, a 10-acre property and 212 acres of pristine rainforest in a remote area of Belize which we have been dedicating ourselves to since 2021. You can find below the bullet points for the overall vision of the project. For now, we need people to help with the smallholding and the orchard, and the daily running of the place, including gardening, planting trees, some farming, some building, care of the animals (many chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, some sheep, some goats, two milking cows). Over the next few months, we are planning to do some more building (two more wooden cabins on stilts, a clay oven from local clay, and the further development of our 40-ft container and porch, where our solar system, electr...

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

Seven years ago, Tim and I moved to our little farm, and we've been busy ever since; growing a garden, planting trees, and learning how to care for the land. We joined Landcare to better understand the local trees and wildlife, especially the ones that need a bit of extra protection. Tim is a retired engineer and has a knack for designing and building, so he’s been having a great time working on the infrastructure around the property. As for me, I’m a creative arts teacher and public health practitioner. I still teach both online and on campus at an Australian university, balancing my work with farm life. One of my biggest passions here is my rose garden with 400 fragrant bushes, and I'm dreaming of making rose water and rose oil one day. We’ve also got a thriving organic fruit and veggie garden, with plenty of fruit trees and a mix of seasonal vegetables. Our dam is well stocked with yabbies, and we’re just a short stroll from the Murray River, perfect for a bit of fishing. I lo...

Come stay with us near Tākaka & Able Tasman National Park! 🌿 We are an intentional community surrounded by nature and a national park. We started in 1974, and nowadays count approx 20 adults and 7 children. It is set up as a village with individuals and families having their own homes and gardens, and a central community house. The common land is farmed with mostly beef cows, chickens, and 2 horses. The minimum stay time is one week, and you can extend for more weeks if there’s a good fit! We offer basic food and accommodation in your own house (the green house on the picture) shared by 4 HelpXers in exchange for 4h of work 5 days a week. That means you’ll have your weekends off to explore! If you’re lucky there will be fresh veggies from the garden and in late summer harvest from the fruit trees! Work varies and mostly includes gardening, general farm work, house maintenance, tree pruning and weed eradication. On rainy days, we may switch to some indoor cleaning and organising. T...

Kia ora and hi! We live next to a subtropical rainforest and large community orchard in urban New Plymouth, on a peaceful, green half an acre. We are looking for help in expanding the native forest on our back slope bordering the rainforest, with tree planting and weeding, as well as developing our gardens, painting and other property maintenance, and sometimes deep cleaning jobs within our home. We are a friendly couple in our 40s, interested in culture, travel, music, sustainability and community. We have two boys, a ten year old and a 3 year old, so require HelpX'ers who enjoy and are familiar with children and the sometimes busy daily life they can create. We have a ping pong table, piano, organ, guitar and ukulele, and enjoy socialising and sharing food with guests, and sometimes playing board games. We have one spare bedroom with a queen-sized bed, and a lovely wood-fired sauna. Carl teaches organic horticulture and Kati works in sustainability. We enjoy connecting and s...

Hi there! My wife and I live on a large section of mainly regenerating forest. We have built 2 small dwellings and various sheds by ourselves using timber we have harvested. We would like to offer 3 to 7 day opportunities for physically able and powertool savvy people to help us care for our property. We have a dog We have lovely self contained cabin for you to stay in. Help requested would be landscaping, light building, powertool, garden and orchard upkeep. We live centrally to beaches, mountains, bike trails and cafes but there is no close public transport so you need your own vehicle.

We can have a couple or 2 friends that dont mind sharing We are a family-run flower farm growing a wide range of seasonal blooms including roses and lilies. Our flowers are harvested fresh and sold through our on-site farm shop, to local florists, and to wholesale customers, so the farm is always busy and changing with the seasons. As a HelpX helper you’ll be part of our small, hardworking team and experience genuine farm life. Work is hands-on and varies depending on the time of year, but can include picking flowers, bunching, cleaning and preparing blooms, tidying garden beds, weeding, general farm maintenance and helping keep things running smoothly. The work can be physical at times, but it’s rewarding and you’ll see the results of your effort straight away. This is not a resort or retreat — it’s a real working farm — but it’s a warm, friendly environment where helpers are appreciated and treated like part of the team. We value people who are reliable, positive, and willing to giv...

Hello, I host solo travellers to help develop our beautiful permaculture garden and homesteading project in Titirangi on the rainforest edge of Auckland... for around 9 day stays. (negotiable) Tasks will vary and be mostly outside in the garden. There is a harbour beach (not swimmable) just a 2 minute stroll through a forest pathway. We need help with general house maintenance, gardening, permaculture style and organic, some possible construction work, firewood or painting. The accommodation is a lovely bedroom with louvre windows and a view of the garden but it is a single mattress only. We will provide accommodation, free wifi, and one main meal per day in exchange for 3 hours help exchange. I would especially like people who are interested in yoga, meditation, architecture, permaculture, biodynamics or organic gardening but anyone strong and enthusiastic for living close to nature would be great. We live in a large old house 20km inland of Byron Bay, in a quiet area of farmland and bush. We have a large garden and vegetable garden which is where we primarily need help. We have chickens, cats and 2 donkeys! We can offer a separate 'cottage' to stay in, and we provide all meals- some helpers have not wanted to go home! There is our new natural pool to cool off in too. In return we request 4 hours of genuine work per day. We are 8km from the nearest village so your own car is a big advantage, although we can pick you up if you don't have transport. Our family loves the cultural exchange aspect of HelpX and looks forward to meeting you and learning about your country. Right now we have work to do outdoors mainly weeding, some heavy lifting, pool cleaning, painting & gardening.

Hi, my name is Marianne. I live on a classic New Zealand "tree quarter acre section" on a north facing (all day sun) hobbit hill, looking down to Oamaru. If you arrive early enough at my kitchen window or even up on the jungle hill behind the cottage, you can see the sea and watch the sunrise. A 10 minute stroll down Eden Street gets you either to the CBD or to the shoreline. I am providing three basic meals per day as well as a comfortable and quiet room for your stay and to relax after our daily four hours of working together "out there", somewhere on some befitting project. Currently the main focus is on landscaping, forging a pathway up the hill via carving out soil on one side and adding to the other side, creating little embankment walls in the process. Most of these embankments will be made from recycled Oamaru natural stone, a few with recycled glass bottles. Our white Oamaru sandstone has attracted various sculptors to our town, because it is soft enough to be cut and carved...

Urgent, due to à last minute cancellation we are looking for some help now until ( approximately) February 1st Hi there. Thank you for taking the time to look at our presentation We are looking for an active person(s)to walk our two dogs, and take care of our home ( and animals) while we are away. If you would like to join our family and share our meals, light housekeeping could be asked, but mainly regular assistance during your stay: setting the table, emptying the dishwasher, sweeping the floors etc. Our work hours have changed and we feel that we are not giving our animals enough time, so we are looking for people that enjoy the outdoors and nature and would be willing to help with the animals. Also we need to have a steady presence for the dogs. ( although there would be enough free time, to explore the environment and undertake other activities.) Must be comfortable with large dogs, as they are really big and fluffy. We also have a cat, who needs food, but not too much, as he ...

We are a mature aged couple working from home and are looking to find an enthusiastic couple, or single person, who can help with general garden maintenance , eg weeding, spraying blackberries and wood splitting etc. In return, we are offering a private room and own bathroom ( see in photos below) in our lovely home. Accomodation and all meals are provided. ( free wi-fi is also available). We are in a quiet and secluded bush setting, and often have kangaroos and wallabies feeding on our property, but still only 3km from the main highway and station. (Melb CBD is 1 hour via train.) It is essential that you are a dog lover! (We have 2) Our 2 Whippets are quite old now, but very friendly and lazy! This would be an excellent opportunity for anyone requiring 2 weeks of accommodation, possibly longer, to share our easy going family life style. We are DEFINITELY a NON SMOKING household, and would prefer not to cater for vegetarians only. The work involves weeding, moving mulch, splitting...

We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week. Our preference is for a single person or couple who have some skil...

Summer Gardening & House Help in Nikau Valley – January Opportunities! Hi there, helpers! Now that the Christmas break is over and we’re into the height of the New Zealand summer, we are looking for a fresh pair of hands to help us out starting from the third week of January. With the warm weather and long summer days, the garden is in full swing. We’re looking for help with a general summer tidy-up, weeding, and keeping our one-acre property looking its best. When it gets a bit too hot or on the occasional rainy day, there is plenty of indoor work to keep things comfortable—cleaning, organizing, and helping with the general flow of the house. We always aim for a relaxed vibe with a good variety of tasks. About Us & The Property We are a well-traveled couple in our sixties living in the peaceful semi-rural area of Nikau Valley (near Paraparaumu). Our property is full of life, featuring: About 20 fruit trees and established veggie gardens. Beautiful flower beds and plenty of green ...

HI HELPERS!!! WELCOME TO JOHN`S FUN FACTORY!!! BULLETIN: I live in a beautiful isolated Tasmanian mountain valley surrounded by world heritage rain forest and some VERY TALL Trees!(but not as big as the Hinoki trees at AliShan in Taiwan!!) Most of my property is a nature reserve, but I have a 2 Hectare orchard, berry garden and vegetable garden which are all useless! The possums, wallabies and birds eat most of these (trees included!) so we live on ice cream and chocolate biscuits instead! Please come and help us eat the biscuits so I don`t get too fat! Oh, by the way, all the Wallabies are called "Skippy" and they don`t mind a bit of apple or banana occasionally. I have been a volunteer host for 18 years and I have had more than 1700(Yes!!!you read it correctly!) fabulous, lovely, wonderful volunteers stay with me. Many of them have come back for second, third…or even 10th visits!!!!! Work can be really diverse including tree planting, mowing grass, helping to install forest fire...

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town, which is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay. Two hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around. We are a sheep and cattle farm 10km out of Taupo, so own vehicle is an advantage, however we are happy to pick people up from town. Work changes during the year. Guests generally help out with whatever we are up to on the farm or in the garden. We do try to differ the work according to the guests abilities, interests and strengths. Generally guests help us from 8.30am to midday, however we are flexible. We do have a house cat.

I am retired and live in a lovely two storey home, overlooking the sea, the sunsets every evening are spectacular. I live in Thames, which is the start of the beautiful Coromandel peninsular. I would like help with painting preparation, renovation, gardening, and occasionally, housework. I ask for 4 hours work per day per person in exchange for food and accommodation, for a minimum of 3 nights There is much to do on the Coromandel peninsular, lots of lovely beaches, including Hotwater Beach, Hahei. I recommend that you have your own transport to explore the area thoroughly. You would have your own bedroom, shower and toilet and share our large kitchen. I love meeting people from other countries. I had a backpackers for many years where I hosted many people from oversea.

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , .

Please do not reach out if you are a couple as we only have a single bed available. Th...

There is a mountain on my farm with lots of tracks to walk and a creek to swim in, There is a hammock i...

Located 12 minutes the pristine beach’...
