I can't see the world, but the world can come see me. First and foremost, I want to thank all the helpers who came from United Kingdom-England, France, Belgium, Italy, China, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. Welcome Helpers. We are a family of 5 living in the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia. Sue is the founder of Peaceful Hollow. Her daughter Ruth moved to the Hollow later as well as her husband Tim and their 2 daughters. Our hollow is quite with no neighbors in sight. There are no city lights, and you can see every star on a clear night! Our homestead consists of Sue's workshop/cabin, Tim & Ruth's cabin and one very small guest cabin. Also, there is a private guestroom with private entrance on the second floor above the workshop/cabin combination. . We have a lot you can be involved in, knowledge to share, friendships to build, and opportunities for growth. Below are our routines and some projects. We would love to involve you! - Caring for our honey bees, chickens,...

Hello Welcome to our listing. We hope we can provide you with a positive experience whilst you stay with us and help with our various projects. We would prefer a couple, or two friends but a single person is welcomed to apply too, who can help with looking after our home and garden... What we are looking for at the moment is some help with cleaning, cooking, gardening and general DIY as we will be doing quite a bit of renovating our cabins. We have space now for a minimum of two weeks up to 5 months for the right people. A bit about us: We are a family of 4 and Brew our cat (this includes a new baby who joined us in November last year.) with other adult children popping in from time to time. We are living in a beautiful part of Devon, at the edge of fields and stunning views but very close to Totnes, one of the most alternative towns in the UK. We are involved in holistic work with families, from pregnancy onwards. In exchange for 15 hours of work a week per person w...

Our family runs a western riding facility with 30 stalls, where we provide horse boarding and training, including reining and cow work. We also have a western saloon, where we host weddings, special events, and are open for our club members on weekends. In return for cleaning out stalls and feeding horses (and the odd other job), we offer room and board, sorry we cannot host vegetarians; we include you in family activities and you have the possibility to improve your riding skills in western riding (cow work and reining) in our 30 x 60 m arena and - how about -learning some line dancing!! A bicycle is available, if you want to explore the near surroundings. We are located close to Switzerland, it`s about a 15 minutes car ride to Basle, and also only about 20 minutes to Germany. Our area is a great tourist region. If you are mature, fit and self-motivated, willing to stay for a minimum of 2 weeks, experienced with handling horses, we would be happy to hear from you!

We are in Dégagnac, between Cahors (capital town of the Lot) and Sarlat in the Dordogne and have 5 gîtes (small houses for rent) and we do chambre d`hôtes (B&B) and table d`hôtes (dinner); we have a swimming pool and a tennis court, a vegetable garden, garden with fruit trees, a walnut grove, meadows and forest, all of which have to be maintained. Depending on the season, we are looking for helpers with one or more of the following skills: 1. gardening (pruning, digging, tidying up etc.) as well as wood clearing and logging; 2. affinity with cooking and making domain products (e.g. confitures, chutneys) from the fruit and walnuts we have; 3. preparing the gîtes for new guests; 4. We invite you to volunteer and participate in creating a unique experience with us this summer. We organise, build and run a unique, tented, sustainable venue - a temporary outdoor eco-village in the West of England. We’re looking for people who like working hard, having fun, and being part of a community to get involved. Every summer since 1990, our trustees (all volunteers) and many other volunteers from all walks of life come together and create something truly inspiring! We are a temporary venue reflected by the three main phases of our season. The most diverse range of activities and greatest need for volunteers are during the setup and takedown of the site, but of course we also rely on our team of volunteers for the running of the events! You will be supported and encouraged to be involved in whatever you feel most comfortable doing, and we always appreciate new ideas and feedback - we are all about learning, participation, and celebration of individuals and community. The...

Hello people, I live with my son in a house I bought 9 years ago. My home needs renovation - build up transformation. We create as much as possible with recycled and eco materials. There is a lot of gardenwork (veggies and construction) on sunny days and inside work on rainy days, already seeing nice results which gives hope. Financial shortage does not stop me from continuing slow steps. Our garden mates are Ayo and Mishmoush, the cats and our chicken Tricksy with 3 new friends, hedgehog visits and frogs, water salamanders in the pond :-). My little paradise garden I dream to be wonderous chilly and self-sufficient as possible - permaculture - foodforestwise. The house I'd like to make a zen-place for my family, friends and soul people who like to share music, high vibrations, art, healing, creation ... I want it to ray positive vibes with cosy wandering corners and no borders. You're welcome :-) There are a lot of different doing-things. We start with easy things to get to k...

Travelers should choose my place because it offers a calm, friendly, and comfortable home in the Dublin Suburbs 10 minute train ride to City Centre. You’ll be surrounded by plants, nature, and good company 🌿. The tasks are light and relaxed. You’ll also learn practical gardening tips and horticultural knowledge in a cozy, welcoming environment. It’s an ideal place for volunteers who enjoy peaceful living, meaningful conversations, and a warm home atmosphere. I am a well organized and responsible person. I’m an easy-going, friendly host who enjoys gardening and evening chats 😊. I value respect, honesty, and a relaxed environment. Volunteers can expect to be treated kindly and fairly, with plenty of support and patience. House also has a permanent tenant, Gloria from Italy (early 30's) who has been here over a year. The help is quite easy and low-stress. I’m happy to share my horticultural knowledge, including tips and tricks for getting the best performance from different plants 🌱. T...

Looking for a lovely volunteer to join us and our animals. AVAILABILITY FROM the end of June as we are fully booked until then. Please contact us if you are interested in helping look after our wonderful animals. Experience with horses is useful but not necessary as long as you are happy to care for them. You will live as part of the family - during your stay, our home will be your home. We are a married couple living on a property with our DOGS, HORSES and some elderly but treasured chickens. Depending on the time of year, we also run a small scale rescue and rehabilitation centre for hedgehogs. There are stunning views looking out over a Devon Wildlife Nature Reserve and beautiful countryside. We live in a very attractive rural area of Devon on the outskirts of a beautiful old village called DOLTON (please look on "Google Earth") about a 45 minute drive from Dartmoor National Park. Help us with renovating our house, orchard and vegetable garden! We (man, woman, 54 and 55 years old) have just bought a Spanish farm with an mandarin orchard which we want to convert to a food forest (syntropic farming). Besides that, we want to convert some stables to living space. We ourselves are experienced in building works, DIY, technical projects. It is such a great project, our new future, but we just have 4 hands ... ;) We hope to welcome international helper guests to give us a hand. (Our 18yo son will also be joining us in summer.) We love to learn about other cultures, languages and have welcomed already many internationals in our former life in The Netherlands. Now we are continuing that in our new project in Spain. Focus this summer (2026) will be on cleaning up land and farmer buildings, weeding and improving the irrigation system in the mandarin orchard, growing plants from seeds. If there is time left we would also like to start building the outside kitchen. My hu...

Our next availability is until 26 June and then all September until 7 or 8 October. We are Joanna and Charlie and we live in the Cambridgeshire countryside, sharing our home much of the time with visiting dogs. If you love dogs, the countryside and quiet family life we are the place to visit. We are close to Cambridge but as the last bus is at 7.15 pm not easily accessible if you want a wild nightlife. We offer a comfortable room and good food in exchange for the congenial company of reliable, cheerful dog-lovers who are willing to undertake a range of tasks such as gardening, cleaning etc Our 2 daughters after time spent travelling (and Helpxing) are now both living in London (one of them spent a year studying in Japan) so our household usually consists of two people and various dogs. I often have dogs to stay, so you need to be relaxed and happy around dogs.We go for long walks with the dogs every day so there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy the countryside. I en...

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) Cheers Al

We purchased this beautiful château in the Loire Valley in 2013 and with HelpXers like yourself, we worked tirelessly to renovate it, taking it from its dilapidated state to the current splendour of a modern 21st century castle. There is still a large space to renovate, as well as finishing touches all around the château, so we get excited if you have trade skills to offer. We have availability for you throughout the year from May through to October, and are keen to book interested people, like yourself, in for longer periods anytime over that period. We ask a minimum stay of two weeks with us, but longer periods are a big bonus. We love positive enthusiastic people who enjoy all that life offers and can share that energy with those around them. If you like working in the garden or have general handyman skills...we would love to hear from you. We would also love a stonemason to join us, as we always have a few stone walls to repair. And if you have experience working behind th...

We live on a small hill farm in the beautiful county Wicklow known as the garden of Ireland. We are a family of four. Becky and Kilian and our daughters Zoe (11) and Bea (8). Fiona (18) is also staying with us this year as an au-pair. We are quite remote so it is very serene and peaceful and the view is amazing. We speak English and German as well as French. We farm organically and have 15 free range organic pigs as well as 2 horses and 5 cats. We also have a poly tunnel and farm garden where we grow vegetables for our own use. Becky works from home and Kilian when he is not farming, has an additional part time job which calls him away on projects from time to time. We live 1km outside a little village called Redcross. It has a pub that brews its own beers and there is also a restaurant, snack bar and shop. We are 20 minutes to drive from a town called Arklow which is on the sea and there is normally a chance to get a lift in but it’s only a 1 hour cycle. Wicklow is a cool part of t...

Update (28th May 2026): We are unlikley to have any accommodation available for Helpx until after July 2026. Hi there, We are a friendly couple living 12km west from the town of Esperance, near the (not pink!) Pink Lake, on the Great Ocean Drive. You need to have your own vehicle and drivers licence to stay with us. We would love some help with general maintenance tasks on our 5 hectare property. We both have full-time jobs running our business, Lucky Bay Brewing (located on the east side of Esperance near Bandy Creek boat harbour). Our home is surrounded by natural bush with lots of bird life, with a fruit orchard, olive grove, a dog, .... and did have a large organic vegetable garden, chickens & ducks. However, our vegetable garden and chicken house are currently not functional, due to our busy work-life - so these are the main tasks we really want some help with. We love meeting people from other places around the world and sharing experiences. You are welcome to stay in our ...

We are a family of three: Krisztian (35), Julia (34) and little Levi ( 6 months :) ). We are obsessed with nature, gardening, alternative ways of living, arts, specially music ( creating and listening as well... all kinds, from electronic through piano music to bird singing ). We also love to travel, we spent a few years traveling around Europe before and after we met each other. Although since our little one got born we travel less and spend more time at our lovely place. Our place is on a hill and it's totally melted together with the huge forests behind. Ideal for lovers of nature. The land is 1.5 hectares big, mostly forest, quite diverse one mixed with fruit and nut trees. A smaller part is a fruit orchard with old fruit trees and newly planted ones. This part we turn slowly into a forest garden. There are many kinds of fruit and nut trees like: apple, peach, plum, pear, cherry, mirabolan, apricot, chestnut, hazelnut, walnut etc. There are plenty of wild herbs and wild edibles wh...

We live on a 5 acre hobby farm in the beautiful Huon Valley, Southern Tasmania. Our family consists of three young adult children (two live at home), two horses, many chickens, ducks, geese, goats and two gorgeous dogs. We grow organic vegetables and breed heritage chickens in an attempt to be more sustainable. Jobs involve general gardening, helping with the animals and housekeeping. If you would like a Tassie small farm experience message us with some details of the work you have previously done. We have separate accommodation, with a bathroom. All our HelpXers have loved working and living with us and I hope you will too (please remember Tassie is a cold place in winter). There are many areas of natural beauty in Southern Tasmania which are all fairly close to us. For example, the Hartz mountains, Hastings Caves and the Tahune Airwalk. We live close to a sleepy village called Cygnet and Hobart is only a 40min drive away. (Unfortunately we can't approve 2nd year visas)

This is a mountain hut immersed in Italy's largest protected park, at 1300 meters, in a forest on Mount Pollino. Managed by an official guide of the park, we organize excursions, canyoning, hiking, climbing and horseback riding throughout the park. The refuge consists of five rooms (with bathrooms) for a total of twenty beds. Kitchen and dining room in common. Helpers sleep in a room that they share together. In spring, summer and autumn volunteers are welcome to take good care of the refuge. Cooking, fixing the roof, gathering mushroom, cutting wood or making guests practice their english :) In winter... write me if you like snow!

We can't wait to meet you in the Cotswolds! We have a large Georgian Farmhouse just outside Castle Combe - one of Englands most beautiful Cotswolds villages, which was used as the location for Stephen Spielberg`s movie `War Horse` and many other famous TV and film titles. We operate as a Guest House and also have three self catering cottages in the grounds. Guests can have afternoon tea here which is all home made using mostly our own home grown vegetables and fruit which we produce on our land. We are looking for helpers throughout the year to assist with all the day to day organisation such as cleaning, bed making, gardening, DIY, waiting at table etc and we usually prefer if you can stay three weeks or longer. * January - April 2026. Bed and Breakfast - Bio/Organic Vineyard. Dave & Brandy (my dog). Vineyard & Small Bed & Breakfast with two (2) rooms for guests. * Help always needed also at the Swiss Tattoo Museum. Dave loves to cook and the BnB thrives on his cooking skills, website reviews and best of all word of mouth! Also known as "Dave Cuvee" to guests and social friends, creating quality, delicious meals with love and passion is my destination. Most helpers leave here with extra kg, I am not talking about extra carry luggage ;-) Brandy is a female Hungarian Vizsla born October 2013. She is in training to search for truffles in the local forests. Brandy is a middle size dog weighing ca. 19kg and is very active. She is very intelligent, playful and uber friendly to everyone she has contact with. Brandy is being trained and fed by Dave, but she requires walks and exercise when Dave is at work. You should be a very dog friendly person. Dave speaks fluent English and Swiss German (...

We are american, from San Francisco and New Orleans, living in France for over 20 years. We have an old farm property in the Loire Valley, 10 minutes from Chinon, with a main house and two renovated barns. The larger barn is a vacation rental, and the smaller barn is mixed use, rental or friends, helpers, etc. We need help with some small projects, with landscaping, and in the vegetable garden. We have a large veggie garden, many fruit and nut trees as well. CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR HELP WITH DIY PROJECTS AND ON THE GROUNDS AND IN THE VEGETABLE GARDEN. Before the season starts there is much work to be done cleaning up, pruning, and planting the vegetable garden. In mid-summer, there`s weeding and landscaping to keep up with, when the smaller barn is not otherwise occupied. We also have small DIY projects like painting. In fall we need help cleaning up the garden and getting ready for the winter months. We can help with your english language skills if you are looking to improve,...

Winter is here and we will not be hosting again until Springtime. We did not hide our details as some of you like to plan months ahead. We like at least 2 weeks notice ( please ask 2 weeks early) . We prefer to host helpers arriving in New Zealand. Welcome to central Auckland and our hidden garden. We have really enjoyed helpers staying this year. We offer you the chance to recover from your incoming flight and get organised for your time in New Zealand. We can give you lots of advice about where to go around New Zealand....... We propose that you stay a night without helping, after arriving from overseas. Then we prefer that you stay a further 3 or 4 days helping around the garden. Which means 1 day doing nothing and up to 4 days helping. Our old home is centrally located in Auckland It has a large natural garden You must like cats. We think that helping for a whole day , then having the next day completely free, works well for us and our guests. You get to do all the stuff ...

We are offering travelers a warm, comfortable two-story Celery Top Pine Pole home we built ourself. You will enjoy magical views of the ocean and mountain and will wake to the sounds of the wild birds that flock to our food and water bowls. We are regularly visited by possums, wallaby's and various other wildlife. If you're lucky you may even see a Tasmanian Devil. We aspire to a sustainable way of living and adore our large established organic garden, which we are needing help with maintaining. We ask helpers to provide a minimum of 4.5 hrs of work each day for 5 days with two full days off. If you would like a day off after working a few days we ask you to make up the hours on other days. Some helpers also purchase their own food and only work 2.5 hours a day if this suits you better. We are also very flexible and happy to listen to your requests. Previous gardening experience is essential as well as cooking/helping with evening meals, household duties, and other jobs as required...

We are Dave and Lynda an older couple than we would like to admit and this is where our challengers lie. We live on a half-acre bush property, Dave built the house 35 years ago and it now requires a little maintenance. Some of the maintenance will involve helping Dave moving and working off scaffold and carpentry work. The yard needs some attention and involves some heavy wheelbarrow work to form a path beside our dam along with transplanting and planting. So here's the deal,,,,, we are offering short term accommodation in exchange for assistance with the maintenance of the house and yard. You will get to stay in a great little 1 bedroom self-contained unit situated 10 minutes drive from the Hervey Bay town centre. We are asking 2 half days a week help in exchange for accommodation, I'm saying half days because we run out of energy about mid-day. This leaves you with plenty of time to explore the area and visit Fraser Island and our beautiful beaches, snorkel the soft coral re...

We're Ruth and Ian, living in a 15th century 5-acre Home in beautiful Mid Devon. Our historic property is full of potential, with a very old house, charming outbuildings, set in 5 acres. Theres an arboretum, orchard, veg garden and lawns, which we are restoring to their former glory. Ian's 95 year old mum lives in a cottage here with us, she is nearly blind and hard of hearing, but adorable and very very independant. We have 6 older children between us in their 30s and adorable grandchildren, none live here, but do come to visit. We love the peace and quiet this place offers. Theres pheasants, owls, deer, the dawn chorus of birds, and always lots of wonderful wildlife running around. We need help to finish renovating the house, and ponds. There's help needed with upkeep of the gardens, veg garden, woods, orchard and grounds. We mainly grow our veg, and want to get back into preserving, fermenting our produce. We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees.

The village has a very friendly and active community, a church, 2 excellent traditional pubs, a pos...

Tena koe, nau mai, haramai ki Tokomaru Bay, a small, predominately Maori seaside community on the East Coast. We live on a four acre lifestyle block in the peaceful Kaiawha Valley about a two minute drive from the village and the beach. There is a 4 Square Supermarket, a cafe and a tavern in the village. We have a room with a queen bed in a sleep out, with helpers own separate lounge/kitchenette. Access to washing machine. The bathroom is inside the main house located a few metres away. Most of the work we require is gardening, landscaping, milking cow, feeding animals, preserving food, servicing our Bed and Breakfast (List 1 Historic Places building) firewood, weed eating, mowing and general maintenance. Jan is a teacher and does some casual relieving and Bill works from home developing Te Reo Maori learning resources for our local tribe and teaches Te Reo Maori one day a week. Both of us are involved in our community, at the marae and other activities. We think 'whanau' s...

General maintenance and help with changeovers of our 2 holiday lets. ...

Hi, I’m Orlando and I live on a spacious rural-style property about 2 hours from Perth. I enjoy practical projects, learning new skills, and creating a relaxed and respectful environment for people from different backgrounds. My place offers plenty of open space, fresh air, and a quieter lifestyle away from the busy city atmosphere. I’m currently improving and maintaining the property, with a variety of ongoing projects including general property maintenance, gardening, building a vegetable garden, handyman tasks, camper and motorhome improvements, basic building projects, cleaning, organising, and installing solar, air-conditioning, and off-grid systems. I welcome easy-going, positive, and reliable volunteers who enjoy practical work, country-style living, and learning new skills. Whether you already have experience or simply enjoy helping out and being hands-on, you are welcome here. The area is known for great fishing, diving with seals, and skydiving, making it a good place for ...

PLEASE NOTE WELL: we absolutely cannot host anyone with any pre-existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions), such as hay fever, any other allergies, sensitivities or intolerances. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our do...
