PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON. Need help with a garden clean up, at the moment. You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one rough headed, skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town. It is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay, 2 hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around. There is a mountain on my farm with lots of t...

Hello! From today, April 27, 2026, we are looking for enthusiastic helpers for a week of outdoor work. The tasks will vary and will include building, gardening, permaculture, lawn mowing, and stacking wood, depending on your skill level and eagerness to learn. We have a queen bed and a single room available, which will suit either a couple or a single helper. It’s important that you can understand English well for your safety. At the moment, we have several animals on our property: 9 cows of mixed ages, sheep, laying chickens (chooks), 2 friendly large dogs, 1 cat, and 5 turtles. Our animals live a stress-free life and are not afraid of people. If you feel nervous around animals, I will likely keep you away from them until you feel comfortable. Please do not take offense; these animals are a part of our home, and I am sure you will still enjoy your time with us. Here are some tasks we would appreciate help with: carpentry/handyman work, greenhouse work, painting, gardening, and fa...

Would like an energetic couple or single person to help out with gardening, and housework. We would expect about 4-5 hours help a day in return for free accommodation and meals. Large bedroom and own bathroom. We have animals so, would prefer someone who enjoyed them being around. There are many wonderful places to explore in Hawkes Bay when you are not working. Fantastic cycle ways, tramping trips into the native bush areas, beaches and wonderful wineries. Prefer you to have your own car to get around and beable to see the region.

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) Cheers Al

Come and stay in our own private little valley and immerse yourself in the sounds of the babbling stream and birdsong. Enjoy the feeling of being out of the hustle and bustle while being just 10 minutes from Lower Hutt CBD. More of a massive garden than a farm, there's never a shortage of jobs to do :). Outdoors there's general gardening maintenance; weeding; fruit picking (in season); fixing up fences and steps and things; moving things around; collecting/chopping firewood; mulching; feeding chickens and sheep; etc; etc. Inside (for rainy days) we might ask you to help with cleaning; maintenance and other projects. Accomodation is dependent on when you come and who else is here. You might be in a private room in a separate (shared) building with shared bathroom, in the house, or for the truly adventurous, in the cabin. We currently have 8 year old twins so our mealtimes are a little scatty but the general plan is help yourself to breakfast whatever time you want; lunch is ...

We are currently taking applications for volunteers who would available to start sometime between mid-May and the end of June and commit to at least 8 weeks . I would be very happy to welcome volunteer teachers who are willing to help at my school for two or three months, or even for a full semester. *I want the volunteers who work at my school to not feel like they are working. Instead, I want them to feel that they are enjoying themselves and having a holiday while staying with us. Their room is fully equipped with air conditioning, hot showers, and a spacious private room that is separate from the main house, so they can feel comfortable and relaxed during their stay.* My name is Edison I have a wife, her name is Nofi. About the host. I love welcoming the world to my home by having friends from all over come and stay. I am also an Airbnb host, which I enjoy for the same reason. Sharing interests, experiences and perspectives enriches. And seeing others enjoy our places and the area has made me appreciate it even more. Now, as the children are moving out one after the other, I like to combine this with some help getting the house in town ready for sale. Nature, animals, and gardening are sources of joy, along with yoga, dancing, skiing and year-round outdoor swimming. I have my roots in a beautiful little village in the area. Our summer home there needs a bit of loving care and can also serve as a nice getaway for relaxing days off. I am also part of a network called "Women Welcome Skellefteå," where women from all over the world are welcome to pop in for lunches, yoga, dancing, language cafés and more.

My husband, Tony, and I offer self-contained accommodation for stays of one or two weeks for a couple or two friends (any genders) who would like to explore the beautiful Yarra Valley or who are in between jobs (Often longer stays are possible depending on whether we have family coming to stay and using the studio.) It is about 1 hour by car from Melbourne. We have a lemon orchard, vegetable garden, horse paddocks and some bush. We are not a commericial lavender farm although we have a lot of lavender growing in the gardens. There are some rescue horses (not rideable) and a pony , chickens, very friendly family dogs and a swimming pool. We live in a river valley just outside Palmerston North, in the Manawatu area, and we are about 15km from town. We have a large family home on a small 'lifestyle' farm with sheep, cows, horses, chickens, ducks, dogs, & cat. There is a lovely swimming hole in the river just below the house, and we make our own power. We are off-grid. Our extended family & friends live near by. There are almost always farming, fencing, building, home made power, gardening, weeding & tree planting activities to be done. We are also currently finishing painting our house. Hi there Traveler We offer a farm stay with great views and good conversation. We chopped down a pine forest and replanted with Manuka about 4 years ago so it’s starting to look really great, and more native birds are about. Established a wetland reserve as well. Also we are developing another small retreat area that needs assistance with tracks and tree management. Some stock work is all so on offer but we will work with you all the time as it’s safer and more fun. cheers and safe travels Geoff and Declan

I am an ecologist, surfer and mum, who is passionate about restoring our sand dune ecosystems. I am owner operator of a sand dune restoration company. We grow and plant sand dune plants, restoring this threatened environment and essential buffer between the land and the sea. We live a healthy lifestyle by the ocean in the small coastal village of Ngunguru on the Tutukaka Coast located 30 km from Whangarei City. The Tutukaka Coast is well known for its pristine beaches, surfing, diving at the Poor Knights, fishing, walking and enjoying the beautiful coastline. Own transport preferred but happy to pick up from the bus or airport in Whangarei and bring out to the coast if travelling without. Our Wildlife Park is a privately run business we’ve been building for 15 years, with our biggest growth happening just in the last two. We transformed the 40 acres land into an open-space park with a sanctuary area, fields and gardens, built largely by our own hands. Our park is home to a variety of Australian wildlife including some herd and farm animals, and is located along the famous Great Ocean Road - 15 minutes drive from the famous Twelve Apostles and on the outskirts of the beautiful Great Otway National Park. We have availability all year round with a range of projects and activities needed to be managed from animal caretaking, general park maintenance, gardening and building projects to enhance and make our park welcoming for both our animals and guests. We are looking for proactive, resilient and communal spirits who actively look for ways to help. You should be willing to get your hands dirty, show up with a good work ethics and bring a mature, responsible and honest attit...

Hello, I’m David! I have sold my coffee shop after 45 years in the hospitality trade, where travelling workers would once work, however I STILL offer helpers the same excellent own room lodging as homestay & great food in exchange for a little light work and some social contact. I live close the train station and bus stop and am a 30 min trip by train to Melbourne City. There is a vehicle to drive locally if are appropriately licensed. You are welcome to use it. I go to the outback in western New South Wales about 3 times a year for the purpose of experiencing the beautiful "timeless land" of Australia and to legally hunt feral animals which endanger our wildlife. I often take workers to the outback so they can have a taste of the real Australia and I can assure that none of the numerous helpers/woofers I have taken over a many year period did not thoroughly enjoy it. . However the choice is theirs whether they accompany myself or whether they stay and "mind the house" I also oft...

Help grow a permaculture centre & outdoor homeschool in southern Italy We are investing our time, energy and lives into creating a Permaculture Centre and an outdoor nature-based homeschool in southern Italy. We live off‑grid, rooted in the three permaculture ethics: Earth Care, People Care, Fair Share. What we offer: · Vegetarian/vegan meals (vitto) · Private accommodation in a bungalow · A small, authentic community experience in nature What we are looking for — two kinds of kindred spirits: 1. Families with young children (1–3 years old) who travel with a camper, caravan or tent – and who wish to share daily life, help with small tasks, and participate in a growing vegetarian ecovillage project on land full of energy, beauty and potential. 2. Vegetarian/vegan individuals or couples interested in an immersive experience at our small permaculture centre. You’ll help us with the many daily tasks of country life (gardening, building, cooking, childcare, maintenance, etc.). In excha...

We are a family of five living a self reliant lifestyle, on a small isolated block. We produce our own food, including goat's yoghurt & cheese, wild or raised meats, eggs, fruit and veggies from our established gardens. We have no income from our property as we are always wanting to become more self-sufficient, so guests must be self motivated and hard working, and be able to contribute skills. We do not allow the use of chemicals (shampoo, sunscreen deodorants etc...) as our grey-water goes directly onto the food gardens, but we do supply our own home made organic soaps and creams. Our aim is to create a co-operative living space, so opportunities arise for short and long term or permanent stay. We have three children who we homeschool using natural learning methods. Travellers with children are very welcome. Please visit our website via link below. We are randomly online and prefer telephone contact to make arrangements.

One thing I can advise helpers who want to get a placement with any host is to have at least one PICTURE of YOURSELF. Just as you like to "see" who and where you are coming, hosts like to see who they are opening their home to. It's winter now, so we won't be working outside. I need someone right away to help with small handyman jobs or selling online eg: eBay, marketplace etc. Knowledge of Carpentry and Plumbing are always appreciated. Car mechanics are always helpful. I would really appreciate someone who can do handyman jobs and wants to come for a week or two. I sell things online and on eBay and would love someone who is good at writing descriptions in English. I have a large house and property in a diverse area of Staten Island, New York that I`m always working on. I plant a vegetable garden in the spring using the square foot gardening method. A friend and I rebuilt the whole house on the inside including jacking it up and replacing the foundation, sills and beams so ther...

This is an exciting opportunity to have an experience that will stay with you throughout your life. Our Foundation aims at helping rural children receive a qualitative outstanding education. We have a volunteer teaching program to assist rural teachers and children get exposure to foreign languages and cultures. Because English is the second language in Thai schools, we concentrate on improving the English language skills of both rural teachers and children. At present, we aim to help 4 public elementary schools (grades 1 - 6) close to Chiang Mai. I run a private English school for children between the ages of 7 and 19 in the small town of Batusangkar, West Sumatra. The Projects & Skills Required 🛠️ I am looking for people who already have experience in r...

Also we are developing another small retreat area that needs assistance with tracks and tree management. Some stock work is all so on offer but we will work with you all the time as it’s safer and more fun. cheers and safe travels Geoff and Declan

I often take workers to the outback so they can have a taste of the real Australia and I can assure that none of the numerous helpers/woofers I have taken over a many year period did not thoroughly enjoy it. .
