I have an opening for one volunteer person to help me with everyday life of looking after animals and some gardening, weeding & basic maintenance of the farm and some house duties in COLLINSVILLE north Qld. I only have the capacity for one person. This is a great opportunity to get away from the city life and enjoy some country living. I have cats horses and chooks. There will be horse riding/training that you can help me with , I do western ranch & trail training, so I prefer someone that has riding experience 😀🐎 And a good understanding of English would be great. Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. We’re on a tranquil lifestyle block in the beautiful historic village of Puhoi. Very handy to Auckland, less than a 40-minute drive to the CBD, but a world away from the hustle and bustle of big cities. Our village center is within easy walking distance. It includes the historic Puhoi Pub, a General Store, sports club, kayak hire business, small museum and small café. Puhoi is on the Te Araroa trail and there are numerous bushwalks and beautiful beaches within a short drive. Your own transport is recommended, as there is no public transport in Puhoi.
