We are near the Shoalwater Marine Park and Penguin Island 40mins from Perth city centre. Very close to public transport, cafes and library. Ideal for beach walking, diving, swimming, cycling, fishing, sailing and windsurfing (beach is 60 metres away). Accommodation would take form of a fully insulated cute tiny garden room with access to undercover cooking area and bathroom. IT is small so please See photos. On week days we are usually working in Perth so we cant provide meals, but a well-stocked supermarket is 200 metres away. When possible we can take turns for meals if possible. We average 2/3 hours a day painting, plumbing gardening and other repairs and can negotiate best time to do that, for example maybe it’s more convenient to do two longer days during the week.Greg is usually available to help you with your car or take you fishing, boating or sightseeing if you’re willing to free him up from his other commitments. When you email please let us know when you plan to get to Per...

I am looking for someone, can be a couple or 2 people, for 2-3 days on the 14th of September. Sorry but I don't need any other dates at the moment and won't respond to requests for other dates at this time but will update this listing if that changes. We offer accommodation in exchange for 3 hours of work per person per day. We don't provide meals but you can use our kitchen. Work includes cleaning, gardening, light maintenance, and any other jobs we agree upon. You must be willing to work outside in most weather. Your accommodation is your own room. There is a bathroom on the same floor but you do have to use the shower in the hosts ensuite bathroom. It is helpful to have a car as we are not within walking distance to the supermarket but I have had a lot of HelpX without a car. They either take the bus (we are an 8 minute walk from the Amisfield stop), hitch-hike or catch a ride with me when I am going to the store, town, etc. PLEASE email from the helpx site before calli...

At our off- grid solar, wood and gravity powered homestead you can live very close to Nature and learn by helping, how to grow your own food in the big, fully caged vegie garden/ orchard and some of how to build a bush cabin (it could be a winning strategy in years to come). We are long term, committed advocates, for climate change action and we've lived with Sustainability and Creating a low "Carbon Footprint" in mind, for 40 yrs now, settling here, (inland of Taree / Port Macquarie) from scratch in 1980, on 680 acres of rocky ridge forest on the wild and steep NW edge of the Bulga Plateau, 500m above sea level (a very beautiful but challenging location)! Watch our YouTube video below, about our community and us, made by the very talented helpxer, Louie Ablett. Three of us live here now, myself 74, David 84 and Sue 64, who started as a WWOOFer and has moved here with the help of a voluntary activity agreement through Centrelink for over 55s'. Sue came in September 2019 , lost th...

Our pretty little farm is located 5 minutes from Sarina town in central QLD. We are 10 minutes from local beaches and close enough to Mackay which is a small regional city. We are also close to national parks that offer rainforest hiking and camping opportunities. We have 5 acres and are situated on the side of a mountain in beautiful bushland with lots of wildlife around. We are self-sufficient minded people and are enjoying the process of constantly learning new ideas and techniques of living happily and healthily on the land. We are a solar-powered, rainwater fed property and are conscious of reducing our carbon footprint. We have wicking vegie gardens, tropical fruit orchard and coffee trees galore. We also have poultry and wildlife to care for. We have built a small bedroom dwelling suitable for a couple or single. You will be sharing the main house bathroom and composting toilet facilities. We are a family of four originally from the states, but now living in Nelson. We’ve been here for about 6 years now. Our kiddos are 16 and 13. We have a little beagle, four chickens, and a little country-like home only 15 minutes walking distance to central Nelson. We love all things outdoors, including biking, swimming, boating, fishing, tramping, and loads of sports. Happy to include new friends in our hobbies. We all enjoy meeting new people and sharing our love of connection while showing off the beautiful little region we call home. Our little property is snuggled up in the Maitai valley, with swimming holes just a few minutes walk away. Lots of walking tracks all around. The center of town is about a 15-20 minute walk. Most everything is in walking distance or you can catch the bus in town. We love to cook healthy, delicious meals. We could use help with gardening, weeding out sections, building projects we have going on to improve our sheds, and outdoor house maintenance. In e...

We milk 70 cows, and 600 goats and work about 400 acres. Now that I have full time staff doing the majority of the milking and barn work, the work is mostly in the workshop and the fields. We always have an interesting project on the go so I particularly enjoy hosting helpers with engineering or mechanical backgrounds.. I enjoy inventing things and automation, with a well equipped (though somewhat disorganized) workshop. Planning to clear some land this summer so someone with heavy equipment experience would be great. Have a barn renovation and equipment installation coming up, so give me a shout if you’re a carpenter or mechanic! Have been hosting engineering students for their internship abroad the last few summers, has been a great experience, they are always welcome. About me (Josef), I was born in Switzerland and am fluent in Swiss German, I am learning Spanish and have a very limited understanding of French. I have travelled a bit myself, doing two harvest tours in the west...

Taking bookings for our summer season starting October 12th, work could include mulching blueberries, thinning plums, weeding and netting repairs. Accommodation is in the “blueberry cottage,' a self-contained flat that is across the lawn from our house. It has two bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen/dining room, computer and wifi. I stock the kitchen with good ingredients and between those and the orchard goodies you assemble your own breakfast. We start at 0830 and work for four hours. I make a big lunch at the house for everyone (lots of home made bread and cakes) and the afternoons/evenings are your own. I'll keep the larder stocked with whatever food you like, we don't eat much meat but can supply it. We have bikes for your use and are surrounded by wineries, or there's always a shady tree to nap under. Warning we do have insects, and in the summer picking time can't take helpers who are colourblind. For ease of booking we'd prefer if you can plan on coming and going on Mondays, ...

Originally from France and Germany, we are living in Canada since 1990 where we raised our 4 children who are now adults living their lives :) We moved to this marvelous region in September 2025 and just bought an old heritage house which was abandoned since over 20 years! We don't live in the house yet (living in a tiny house on a farm 1km from there), but plan to move in for the winter. Only the bathroom is almost ready to use. So, for right now, we are looking for helpers willing to camp (pitch a tent in our yard or sleeping in your van). The spot is a little bit outside of the scenic village of St-Germain, with view on the St-Lawrence River and 3km from the beach. We definitively need help with the restoration work: helping Michel on the roof with traditional roofing techniques, helping Hildegund inside with painting, sanding and oiling the floors,... or even outside preparing the garden and orchard. Michel is cabinet maker and artist. Hildegund is psychologist and playtherapist...

My property is 10 hectares on the West Coast of the South Island, which starts at the coast with sand beach and sunsets and heads inland 1km through native wetlands and forest. Approximately 20km from Westport, 1km from Tauranga Bay! Public transport is limited? I'm a Certified Plumber and Drainlayer by trade but recently retired to work on property (next stage of life!) I have hosted many people through Couchsurfing over the years! Helpx is a new concept for me I purchased the property which was in need of a lot of work to tidy up, contouring/fencing/and planting trees etc. I'm now into planting out and setting up orchard also clearing introduced plants and replanting with natives. Current projects are building a new cottage for myself which is nearly completed and hope to move in by the end of August! and similar 2-bedroom cottage as a guest house which is also nearly completed just doing the final bathroom and kitchen fitout! both will be total off grid power and water supply. We are a busy family household with 3 teenagers (17/2x15), nestled into the slopes of Kunanyi/Mt Wellington. We have a rambling old house with a large bush garden on three acres of bush. We back onto Wellington Park, with immediate access to bush walks, mountain biking, and nature. Our house is a fifteen-minute drive from the centre of Hobart and other service areas such as Sandy Bay or Kingston. Buses are available. Check the Metrotas website for timetables. Half our household is vegetarian (but not vegan, although vegan is fine). The others eat meat (flexibly). Food is multinational, and guests who like to cook are welcome. All other facilities need to be shared. Our expectation is for 2–3 hours of light work in return for accommodation and board. Duties could include gardening, wood stacking, carpentry, ...

We are a community of inspired, clear-minded individuals creating a relational-centred, sustainable lifestyle that we have found naturally catalyzes the evolution of human consciousness. We are enabling the old paradigm to fade away by not fighting against life as it is. Our off-grid organic community farm is located on pristine 23-acre property, 15 minutes West of Nelson, in the West Kootenays, British Columbia. We operate out of an 1800 sq. ft, geo-solar Earthship/ greenhouse. We have organic community gardens, and an orchard featuring 30-inch insulated raised beds. Not only do we provide an environment to work with plants, but our intention is also to provide an opportunity for helpers to have a hands-on experience of service in a community setting. We practice non-violent communication and emotional intelligence on a daily basis. We provide a simple, quality, organic, mostly vegetarian diet, some of which comes from our gardens and greenhouse. You will need an appropriate visa ...

This can be your basecamp for winter in Tongariro National Park — a dual World Heritage site with two ski fields right up the road. We're at the base of Mt Ruapehu, with Whakapapa and Turoa both within easy reach, so you're sleeping at the mountain rather than driving up in the dark and cold every morning. Wake up, check the conditions, and go. We're a 85-bed backpackers and we're popular with HelpX — usually 4 to 8 helpers on site at any one time, plus a steady flow of guests through the lodge. It's busy, it's social, and there's always something going on. Lots of fellow travellers, lots of mountain time, lots of opportunities to make the most of where you are. We take helpers all year round, but we get booked up well in advance — so reach out early and we'll do our best to work your dates in with your NZ travel plans. Two weeks or more is ideal: time to settle in, wait out the weather, and actually live in the park rather than just passing through. One week works at a pinch, but y...

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) , please don't come if you have a heavy cold or flu, I'm involved with the elderly. Cheers Al

We’ve recently built a wonderfully energy efficient passive solar house, complete with off-grid solar for all our energy needs, rain water collection for all our water needs, and a worm farm waste management system for natural black and grey water processing. We’ve put a lot of work in to achieve a fossil-fuel-free, all-electric, household, with as small an environmental footprint as possible. We’re also lucky to live in a beautiful rural/coastal area near Inverloch, Victoria, approximately 1 hour 45 minutes south-east of Melbourne. We are close to some of Victoria’s most famous wildlife and wilderness attractions, including the Penguin Parade at Phillip Island, the Koala Conservation Reserve, and hiking and camping at Wilson’s Promontory (not to mention numerous local beaches and fishing spots only 10 minutes away!). With our house complete, we’re now working to progress the landscaping aspects of our project. We’d be very appreciative of a helping hand or two to help complete: a na...

We will lovingly provide all meals using our beautiful farm fresh produce and board for e...

Hi we would love to meet you, we have shared our home with helpers for 16years and love getting to know new people. We are looking for one person or maybe two practical people who can just potter about sorting out some jobs. The jobs I have are feeding animals peacock, chickens, pig. Then I’m keen to find someone to help with some gardening Ive been busy so its a bit overgrown. I’d also like to re-organise my entire implement shed to make a more workable space. Plenty of garden jobs and always clearing and de-cluttering and Pruning. We are home most of the time and just go about doing general jobs on our farm & garden. Would you like to come and join us for a bit? We aim to keep you relaxed, well fed and always included with family activities. It is beautiful here and the Tui’s are here on mass. Cold but sunny. Lots to do before winter sets in so we need to get outside with some help. Our jobs are totally seasonal and changes from month to month, but focus is on improving the gar...

This is an exciting opportunity to have an experience that will stay with you throughout your life. Our Foundation aims at helping rural children receive a qualitative outstanding education. We have a volunteer teaching program to assist rural teachers and children get exposure to foreign languages and cultures. Because English is the second language in Thai schools, we concentrate on improving the English language skills of both rural teachers and children. At present, we aim to help 4 public elementary schools (grades 1 - 6) close to Chiang Mai. We are currently taking applications for volunteers who would available to start mid-November and commit to at least 8 weeks . We are looking for volunteers to teach English only.

We also have our delightful Avan; a compact caravan that has a double bed and a single bed for those who want to live more out amongst nature. Next vacancies likely to be 2nd week of September. We appreciate help with DIY repairs and maintenance, timber work, help with gardening, housekeeing, cooking, duck and chicken rearing and dog walking on the beach.
