We are looking for help starting in September for someone who speaks French, our daughter needs assistance with her homework. We prefer longer stay. This is only the second school in Nagarkot, nice Nepalese village in Bhaktapur district; a 1.5 hrs bus ride from Kathmandu. It hopes to provide an English medium education for underprivileged children. The school has 7 staff members taking care of its 80+ students - aged from 4 to 12 years old - and would benefit from any help volunteers can provide. Hello Helpers! I live on a small 5 acre lifestyle block, 48 km South of Auckland CBD, that is also home to one horse (Meg), two small inside dogs (Alfie and Lacey), a cat (Sylvie) and some free-range hens who happily provide eggs for our breakfast. I can offer short stays of approximately ONE WEEK only, for a single helper or a couple. Mature, practical-minded people with a few years life experience, a good work ethic and a good understanding of the English language are preferred. None of the jobs are difficult but you do need to be reasonably FIT and you need to be able to work independently. Non-smokers/non-vapers only please. Depending on the time of the year, some of the tasks you may be asked to help with are: planting trees/shrubs, weeding and mulching garden beds, grubbing thistles, paddock weeds and brush-cutting (strimming/w...

In 2023, we moved to a small 6ha farm which is mainly used for grazing horses. It has a couple of waterways running through the paddocks, and around 2ha of natural wetlands which were drained many decades ago. Our plan is to gradually plant native grasses and trees along the waterways, and eventually restore the wetlands to their natural glory. We need some help caring for all the new plantings – depending on the season this could be shovelling horse manure around the plants (spring), clearing weeds (spring), using a wood chipper to create mulch (spring/summer), or planting more trees (autumn/winter). We're pretty flexible though, and would also appreciate help with our vegetable garden, fruit trees, cooking & cleaning, dog-walking, fixing sheds, and maybe even some babysitting (our daughter was born in July 2025). Whatever you prefer! We generally ask for around 3-4 hours of help per day, 5 days per week, in exchange for a private room, cooked dinners, and ingredients for breakfast ...

Perched scenically above "the highest and sunniest town in Bulgaria", Mountain Retreat is an ideal location for travellers, students, authors, hikers, digital nomads, skiers, romantics or adventurers, or anyone else who needs a refreshing break in good company and loves nature and the mountains. We offer cosy, modern accommodation with high-speed internet in an ongoing restoration project in return for 2-3 hours of your time daily generally helping out. The summers here are pleasantly hot (but not too much) and the winters provide skiing at the nearby longest ski run in Eastern Europe - just 1.5 km from the house. The major ski area of Pamporovo is about 15km away and links to Chepelare by ski-bus. We are the last property on a steep, rough road before disappearing into the forest with its numerous walking and hiking trails, but we are still only a pleasant 8-minute ramble down into the town itself. The view from our location is genuinely inspiring, and we have fresh mountain water run...

Hi, my name is Colin. I live and work on the familly farm with my wife, Charlotte and three children aged 10, 6 and 3 years of age. Along with family life I head up and run both an equine veterinary practice (see my website link below) and a 480 acre livestock farm over two sites. My wife and I enjoy travelling and immersing ourselves in other cultures which we have found more rewarding when we have been involved in work or charity projects which allow for a deeper involvement with the local community than just being a tourist. We would like to offer this opportunity to others and we know from hosting students it also enriches our environment. The Farm : The farm is predominantly grass based and used to rear sheep and cattle. It’s varied topography from flat fields to very steep sided valleys also has woodland, gorse and marsh contributing to a host of diverse ecosystems. There are three areas classified as ancient monuments where there is evidence of iron aged fortifications and th...

Set in a hidden valley of Woonona, this 1 acre oasis is on a journey from forgotten, overgrown grassland to Permaculture wonderland! We have been practicing aspects of sustainability for over 15 years including Permaculture gardening, sustainable building and creating community. Sarah has a deep level of knowledge about market gardening, soil building and organic food & is a qualified Permaculture teacher. Ben is skilled at building with recycled, reclaimed and natural materials, tending fruit trees and teaching ecology & sustainability. The property is located about 5 minutes bike ride from lovely beaches and 5 minutes walk from local shops and access to buses into Wollongong. It`s also only 1.5hrs from Sydney by train. We spent 2010 WWOOFing around the planet with our two children, so we understand how to be good hosts. We love sharing lifestyle and experiences, so hopefully we can help you explore this wonderful part of the world. The current projects involve a range of gardeni...

Kia ora! Our place is located between Tauranga and Rotorua, about 20 mins south of Tauranga. 25 mins to Mauao (Mt Maunganui)and 35 minutes to Rotorua. Small rural property with organic vege garden, chickens, bees, orchard. Work mostly gardening, trees and bits and pieces. Peaceful and quiet. Lesbian, gay, child and vegetarian friendly. Accommodation is a comfortable tidy sleepout with queen bed. If you want to look around the area its a good place to base yourself, a vehicle is an advantage but we can pick up from Tauranga. Enjoy your travels! We also have a place in North Coromandel - remote, beautiful, coastal, rugged landscape, environmentally protected land, gravel and hilly road to get there. The accommodation is a comfy hut, off grid, composting toilet, 50 m from our house, good phone coverage, some internet at the house. The work is mostly weeding, pruning and moving clay soil. If dates work we'd be happy to host you there too!

Hi, welcome to NZ, and hopefully to Kōpuaranga, Masterton! We are located just a 1.5 hour drive north of Wellington off State Highway 2. Masterton is central to a lot of walks, mountains rivers and coastline and some beach/ surf communities too. We also have a beach house that we sometimes do work on as well. Our home is a kilometre from any other house, so a rural experience, views and usually a great night sky are guaranteed - yet still only a ten minute drive to our service town of Masterton which has rail links to Wellington. An easy pick up or drop off if you do not have your own vehicle. We have a river boundary with trout and eels, and it is great for a speedy dip on the hot days before the nature gets too curious! We have now been on this property a year and so much has been achieved with HelpX travel friends, but we are only half way through... Outside we are building pens, raising chickens and sheep, adding some more raised beds and laying out a productive garden with s...

We are 15 min from the beach named Puerto Arista and close to the famous Boca de Cielo and one of the worlds largest , undeveloped estuaries with all kinds of wild life and mangroves . We are situated in southern Chiapas. It is very safe . We have none of the problems you may hear about and we love it and everyone who has volunteered with us has loved it too. Almost too beautiful and peaceful for words. Work is year round. There is all kinds of ranch work and maintenance and the like . We have the occasional green building projects as well . There is nightlife in town and a surprisingly large and open LGBTQ community, so all people are more than welcome. Its a fairly rural , very typical all mexican agricultural town. We produce a wide range of vegetables for ourselves and some for selling. We hope that during your stay with us you are willing and able to work as hard as ourselves, it could be tough at times, but you will get a true sense of farming life-style! It is important to realise beforehand that you are a volunteer who gets the opportunity to join into our family home/life so please do not compare with a regular paid job. Hello everyone. Thanks for your interest. I am now looking particularly for HelpX people with some specialised practical skills. People who can stay at least a week would be great. If you’re interested please reply telling me a bit about yourself and your interests, skill sets and abilities. I look forward to hearing from you. Haumoana is a small, very artsy and alternative, semi rural seaside village. There are two surfing spots very close by. Yoga and pilates classes and great coffee shops 5 minutes away as well as a well provisioned grocery store near by. Miles of bike tracks, mostly off-road mean you can ride to the two larger towns Napier and Hastings on bikes I provide. If you don’t have your own transport you should be aware Haumoana does not have any public transportation and you will need to bike wherever you wish to go though sometimes I can offer to take you somewhere. Currently have no availability until late February/early March. Help on a Vineyard & Family Farm – Awatere Valley, Marlborough We’re a family-run vineyard and hill-country farm, located just 20 minutes south of Blenheim, 3 km from State Highway 1, and 5 minutes from the rural township of Seddon — right in the heart of Marlborough’s scenic Awatere Valley. The property includes a working 40-hectare Sauvignon Blanc vineyard, a hill-country farm, a small orchard, and developing gardens around our off-grid Passivhaus homestead. We're on a journey toward self-sufficiency — growing more of our own food, regenerating parts of the farm with native plants from our own nursery, and installing solar to power our vineyard. We live on the property that’s been in Pip’s family for three generations. Our children’s great-grandparents worked this land. Pip grew up here, and Duncan comes from a farming background in the UK. We have two children (14 and 16), and a lively mix of animals including chickens...

Hello! We’re a small family - Matt, Tash and our baby girl Toni. We live on a relaxed 10 acre hobby farm with our two friendly dogs, sheep and chickens. We are located just 12 minutes from Warrnambool and Koroit, and about 25 minutes from Port Fairy. We’re surrounded by beaches and volcanic countryside. We’re looking for a helping hand around the property and in the garden with jobs like weeding (especially thistles), raking, planting, chainsawing (if experienced) and general maintenance around the garden and house. Most of the work is outdoors and can be quite physical, so it suits someone active with a positive, can do attitude. You’ll stay in either our spare room in our house, loft room in shed, or a fully equipped caravan, depending on availability. You’ll have access to Wi-Fi, all the usual amenities, a pool to cool down in and a theatre room to relax in during your downtime. We provide breakfast, lunch and dinner and healthy snacks. I've had some amazing helpx helpers that have helped establish the kitchen gardens and some help is now needed on general gardens and landscaping. Depending on the time of the year, some of the tasks you may be asked to help with are: planting trees/shrubs, weeding and mulching garden beds, grubbing thistles, paddock weeds and brush-cutting (strimming/w...

HI HELPERS!!! WELCOME TO JOHN`S FUN FACTORY!!! BULLETIN: I live in a beautiful isolated Tasmanian mountain valley surrounded by world heritage rain forest and some VERY TALL Trees!(but not as big as the Hinoki trees at AliShan in Taiwan!!) Most of my property is a nature reserve, but I have a 2 Hectare orchard, berry garden and vegetable garden which are all useless! The possums, wallabies and birds eat most of these (trees included!) so we live on ice cream and chocolate biscuits instead! Please come and help us eat the biscuits so I don`t get too fat! Oh, by the way, all the Wallabies are called "Skippy" and they don`t mind a bit of apple or banana occasionally. I have been a volunteer host for 18 years and I have had more than 1700(Yes!!!you read it correctly!) fabulous, lovely, wonderful volunteers stay with me. Many of them have come back for second, third…or even 10th visits!!!!! Work can be really diverse including tree planting, mowing grass, helping to install forest fire...

An easy pick up or drop off if you do not have your own vehicle. We have a river boundary with trout and eels, and it is great for a speedy dip on the hot days before the nature gets too curious! Helping time can be up to 4 hours a day,...
