We farm sheep and beef in the heart of the Catlins, in Tawanui at the start of the popular Catlins river walk. The farm consists of sheep, cattle, four rideable horses and some coloured pet Gotland sheep along with an array of wild deer roaming the hill. Help will consist of some stock work, some fencing, maintenance of all sorts, gardening, firewood and general helping around the house. Always having fun and a good laugh as we work. I don't travel so its nice to meet people from all walks of life and learn about there culture. If you are keen for some work, and want to meet some locals and enjoy the breath taking Catlins, please get in contact.

Do you long to step away from the outside world for a while and immerse yourself in nature ? Then look no further as we are looking for helpers in our wee piece of Paradise at the moment ......... Our farm is 100 acres of deer-fenced land on the Otago Peninsula. The help we require is some basic garden maintenance, wood splitting, weed-eating etc. We are an animal besotted family with 2 horses, 2 cats, and 2 dogs (please NOTE we have retired drugs dogs so if you use even occasionally, whilst we are not judging you, please don't bother offering your services !). We need helpers who are energetic, honest, fun, caring, conscientious, can get on with jobs without requiring supervision and are not glued to a device - but saying that our wifi isn't and mobile signal is often patchy!!! Some equestrian knowledge would be good (but not necessary) as you will be helping with the daily care of the horses. We are a working farm, so sorry but no pets thanks. We usually only take couples (bu...

A family home at the end of a valley surrounded by rainforest located between Port Douglas and Mossman. Our children have left the nest and we now share our home with our pet furball 'puss puss', so hopefully you love cats. Perfectly located 15mins to the closest port to visit The Great Barrier Reef and 40 minutes drive to World Heritage Daintree Rainforest. This would be the perfect place to experience fauna and flora. Lots of birds visit our gardens, wallabies and dingos are sighted from time to time in the valley. The house is single storey and you would have your own queen size bedroom and bathroom overlooking our pool. We can offer van parking space too. We would love assistance with our garden, weeding, mulching, landscaping and veggie garden. My husband and I would love to share with you our beautiful surroundings. We do prefer a minimum of 1 week stay, You do need your own transport as there is no public transport. If you are clean, tidy, and love a good natter and a giggle...

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) Cheers Al

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

Hi, it is getting cold here. But we can keep warm easily. The harvest is in and the next crops are planted. We are now trying to vatch up on repairs and maintenance. In July and August we just want one person at a time as its much harder to look after people in the business and cold. We would love to have people who can help. We are are family run mixed sheep and cropping farm of about 150 Ha. Bernard, myself and our son Mathew (born 2016) do nearly everything ourselves. We keep our own Ewes and lamb them, and also buy more lambs in throughout the year for fattening. We also grow a variety of crops. Sometimes the work is hard. A degree of fitness will go a long way. We live near the mouth of the Rakaia river in Dorie (the map co-ordinates are approximate). We attend church weekly on Sundays (a catholic mass). You are very welcome to join us - this is not compulsory. There is a wide variety of things you can help with according to the season, and can include gardenening, repa...

Welcome to My Home! I’m looking for friendly, reliable travelers who’d like to stay with me in exchange for a bit of help around the property. Tasks may include gardening, general maintenance, cleaning, painting, or small projects depending on the season. Nothing too heavy — just a fair exchange of a few hours’ work each day for comfortable accommodation and a chance to live like a local. In return, you’ll have a cozy place to stay, plenty of free time to explore the area, and the opportunity to share meals, stories, and culture. We enjoy meeting people from around the world and creating a space where both host and guest benefit. If you’re practical, respectful, and keen to contribute while experiencing local life, I’d be happy to host you. Our family is vegetarian. We will provide vegetarian food. However, guests are allowed to bring their own meat and cook. Barbecue is available too.

We are a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 primary age children) who live on a small lifestyle farm in Mahana in the Tasman region. We are 40 minutes' drive from the start of the beautiful Abel Tasman national park. The house is modern and warm, and we enjoy having people from other cultures (or Kiwis) to stay. We are busy juggling family life, farming and other external employment. We could do with an extra helping hand in June. One of us is away and we would like help with general domestic chores (inside and out), animals and children. This could include walking kids to school/pick ups, taking them to activities. Also preparing some meals and baking for a few days a week. Other jobs could include running the dogs, helping with farm tasks, pruning trees, feeding animals. We can find wet weather jobs too. There is a spare room in the house where one person or a couple can stay. We would expect 4 hours a day work in exchange for accommodation and food but this can be a mixture of many t...

Preference will be given to helpers with a genuine interest in learning about NZ dairy farming and animal husbandry. We love sharing what we do and prefer to host helpers with a desire to learn. We run a boutique dairy farm, milking a small herd of much loved cows and selling raw milk to our wonderful customers Starting a new business is hard work and not for the faint-hearted. If you consider yourself up for the challenge of helping us, we'd love to hear from you! We offer a family environment with opportunities for farm work, housework, gardening and cooking. There is a wide variety of work available. Working with the animals of course, weed control, plus fencing work, painting, carpentry, building and lots of different small tasks to complete. If outdoor work doesn't appeal, help in the house with cooking and cleaning is always appreciated, and the large and previously neglected garden also requires a lot of work. Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . Located 12 minutes the pristine beach’...

We are Dave and Lynda an older couple than we would like to admit and this is where our challengers lie. We live on a half-acre bush property, Dave built the house 35 years ago and it now requires a little maintenance, the yard needs some attention as well. So here's the deal,,,,, we are offering short term accommodation in exchange for assistance with the maintenance of the house and yard. You will get to stay in a great little 1 bedroom self-contained unit situated 10 minutes drive from the Hervey Bay town centre. We are asking 2 half days a week help in exchange for accommodation, I'm saying half days because we run out of energy about mid-day. This leaves you with plenty of time to explore the area and visit Fraser Island and our beautiful beaches, snorkel the soft coral reef or scuba dive the Tobruk wreck. Explore historical Maryborough, during May to September you can visit Lady Elliott Island, only a short flight away, and swim with the Manta Rays. If you are here bet...

2 Small farms turned into the one near the West Coast of Clare. We keep lots of farm animals like cattle, horses, donkeys and sheep. We produce a wide range of vegetables for ourselves and some for selling. We have two children, went to primary Steiner/ Waldorf school; Frank (25) and Fina(21) and they love having volunteers around the place. Fina is doing equine studies and Frank studies horticulture and loves travelling. We hope you have the ability to adapt to our for most of you different and simple life-style and enjoy farmwork with irregular hours at times, and you will get a true sense of farming life-style! It is important to realise beforehand that you are a volunteer who gets the opportunity to join into our family home/life so please do not compare with a regular paid job.. Most important is that you are happy and enjoy your stay with us... We offer healthy food, wonderful sunsets and rainbows, some Irish traditional music, and the possibility to learn more about old style f...

Welcome to beautiful fresh Tasmania. We are a little family living in the beautiful Chudleigh valley on a small property. We grow some of our own vegetables and fruits. We have sheep, alpacas, ducks, chickens and an old dog. We have a teenage daughter and we would like to learn about your culture and share ours eg doing activities like bike riding, making stuff, playing music, drawing and sharing skills . My partner, Paul has a shop in Deloraine that sells old wares, antiques and collectables. There would be some work helping him with shop jobs, like cleaning, polishing, lifting, sorting, all sorts of odd jobs. On the farm we have weeding, sheep poo collecting, pruning, fencing, raking leaves, stacking firewood and whatever needs doing at the time. Jobs are dependent on the weather and the seasons. We would expect you to do 2 or 3 hours work per day in exchange for accommodation and an evening meal (mostly vegetarian, meat once a week is normal). You need to provide your own breakfa...

We are an intentional community-based Yoga retreat located in a beautiful natural bush setting on the edge of Sydney. We have included some general information below. If you have any questions please ask. What type of person are we looking for? We are looking for community-minded, hardworking people who are respectful and helpful to be part of our team. Since we are an intentional community-based yoga retreat, we expect people to work together. The people that live here, are not volunteers - but karmic yogis. Tasks: The tasks are generally the maintenance and running of the Yoga centre, 5 hours a day, 5 days a week. The work depends on what skills you have or what you'd like to do or learn how to do. We're happy to train you and provide references upon request (which can be helpful in the future). The work is often unsupervised so you must be self-motivated. Currently, we are looking for people with the following skills - and most importantly: experience. - Cooking (we are a ve...

Looking for a lovely volunteer to join us and our animals. AVAILABILITY FROM the end of June as we are fully booked until then. Please contact us if you are interested in helping look after our wonderful animals. Experience with horses is useful but not necessary as long as you are happy to care for them. You will live as part of the family - during your stay, our home will be your home. We are a married couple living on a property with our DOGS, HORSES and some elderly but treasured chickens. Depending on the time of year, we also run a small scale rescue and rehabilitation centre for hedgehogs. There are stunning views looking out over a Devon Wildlife Nature Reserve and beautiful countryside. We live in a very attractive rural area of Devon on the outskirts of a beautiful old village called DOLTON (please look on "Google Earth") about a 45 minute drive from Dartmoor National Park. Welcome to Dogwood Green We are a mature male gay couple and have a lifestyle block 20 minutes out of Tauranga. Our current project is waterblasting off roof lichen. We live simply, majoring in low carbon and a gentle footprint on the earth. We mostly eat home grown produce. We are dairy free, and we make our own Oat/almond milk. Dogwood Green is a good example of self-sufficiency, that you will have the opportunity to visit in NZ. Chickens, worm farms, solar PV panels and an electric car, solar hot water, fruit wine making, are some of our self-sufficiency measures. Big vegie gardens, multiple fruit trees and sheep also feed us. :-) There is always weeding to do and tending the animals and small projects. We are currently upgrading the property for a possible future sale, as we need to downsize. Also we are involved in a 300 Hectare pest free zone in the Kaimai Mamaku State Forest Park, so you may get an insider's view on possum, stoat and rat control up the end of the roa...

Enjoy canoeing, kayaking, biking & hiking at our waterfront B&B. You'll have your own private room. Cleaning rooms to our 5 star standard is the primary work. Limited gardening, yard work, helping around the B&B with all aspects of running a home-based business. Must be physically fit to do this. Crewing on our boat is optional if you like it - not everyone is comfortable being on the ocean. Here is what a typical summer day looks like: About 1/4 of our guests purchase breakfast. On those mornings at 7:30 am we're in the kitchen preparing breakfast. 8:45 - 9:30 serving breakfast to guests and interacting with Q&A and booking a few excursions. On most days when t...

We are a family of five living a self reliant lifestyle, on a small isolated block. We produce our own food, including goat's yoghurt & cheese, wild or raised meats, eggs, fruit and veggies from our established gardens. We have no income from our property as we are always wanting to become more self-sufficient, so guests must be self motivated and hard working, and be able to contribute skills. We do not allow the use of chemicals (shampoo, sunscreen deodorants etc...) as our grey-water goes directly onto the food gardens, but we do supply our own home made organic soaps and creams. Our aim is to create a co-operative living space, so opportunities arise for short and long term or permanent stay. We have three children who we homeschool using natural learning methods. Travellers with children are very welcome. Please visit our website via link below. We are randomly online and prefer telephone contact to make arrangements.

Hi At this time I have helpers for the dates below. I live in a three bedroom home on the edge of Lake Te Waihora (Lake Ellesmere). Retired University professor. Age 67. The house is very warm, log fire. You would have your own room, bathroom, and use of the kitchen etc Home has lovely outlook over the lake. Over the last 4 years I (with the help of many travelers) I have a planted a native forest - about 6 Ha. I would appreciate help with planting the last of the trees. The area to finish planting is mainly peat soil and very easy to plant into. The expectation is you work 4 hours a day. We will be working as a team. Its a great opportunity to leave a permanent mark on New Zealand (and I can send you pictures of the trees as they grow if you wish). The nearest village is Leeston which is 6kms away. An easy bike ride (and I go into Leeston a few times a week). I tend to eat what I grow, catch or hunt. Very happy for you to cook. I have fish, and duck to cook. Avai...

I seek mature travellers who are travelling around the South West in their own Camper Van or Car with tent etc. Traveller/helpers need to be self contained but I provide access to clean toilet and shower facilities. I have some really nice set up camp sites here - the sites are private, clean, safe and located in beautiful natural bushland settings. If you would like to come, stay and help me here, please send me a message ! I can usually help traveller/helpers locate many other things.., like possible work services, free food services and access to various beaches etc. I like to show people how they can live on the land sustainably, how they can build their own sustainable homes and grow their own food...., using what is around them, to adapt to their environment and adopt permaculture principals to suit their own needs. I have lived on my own little permaculture farm beside the Leeuwin/Naturaliste National Park forest since 1982. I have built my own home using local granite s...

We live in a fun share house in Maryborough, Marry Poppins Town, with awesome meals and a big edible garden. We're Mars, the owner of the property and Tracy, a former theatre/restaurant owner who's cooking the most awesome meals and looking after everyone like a mum. There're 2 adorable dogs in the family, so you must be a dog lover. Also 6 chicken and 2 ducks, so we always have fresh eggs. We need help with building and creating, and with an awesome but overgrown edible garden. We're about to put 12v solar power into the rooms, also natural air-conditioning and are finishing up the spa bath in the 2nd bathroom... so there's a bit for you to learn and lots of knowledge to take home. We like to work with fun and laughter and love to see you letting a bit of your craziness out. Be yourself and join the family... We have had awesome experiences with travellers so far 😃. Please note that there's a minimum of 1 week stay, we do not like to be used as a pit stop. There's no minimum s...

We are are family run mixed sheep and cropping farm of about 150 Ha. Bernard, myself and our son Mathew (born 2016) do nearly everything ourselves.

We try to fit the work to each helper's skills and interests, and ...

Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level.

The village has a very friendly and active community, a church, 2 excellent traditional pubs, a pos...

You have your own private and charming cottage (with kitchen and bathroom) in exchange for some gardening or other small jobs. Short or long term. Any help appreciated. I do speak some French and German and am a retired teacher of English. Our village is delightful and our peninsula has much to explore. Helpers find our accommodation a very welcome touch of luxury. Thanks, Dale Available now

West Coast Canada Experience Purpose built oceanfront B&B with 3 private self-contained studio suites on the 2nd floor of our home which is on the first floor. Enjoy canoeing, kayaking, biking & hiking at our waterfront B&B. You'll have your own private room. If you have a valid drivers license, and are staying for at least 2 months you may use one of our cars. This requires a discussion, and is on a case by case basis.
