Hi, my name is Mary. I live on the border of NSW and Victoria, a town called Albury. There is a train service to Albury from Sydney about 9 hours and Melbourne about 5 hours train trip. I am happy to pick someone from the Albury railway station. Albury is a pretty town on the Hume Highway. It is inland on the Murray River and there are a lot of local attractions, vineyards, historical small towns, snow fields and many more, only a few hours drive. I am located in town, with the railway station and the airport not too far, about 15minutes drive. I am fully vaccinated and require the same of a helper. I only take Non-smokers (meaning you do not smoke at all, outside as well). Currently I am asking for 2.5hrs a day for board only. You can cook for yourselves, buy supplies locally and after cooking clean your area. I would like help with the garden and other general duties around the house, such as cleaning. If you are travelling this way, either going to Melbourne or locally and can hel...

We need helpx until the end of June 2026. We are looking for a couple. We are a family who love travelling, and love hosting travellers. We need some help with some indoor and outdoor work: house cleaning, gardens (bamboo clearing, shredding, tidying up leaves etc.), and general labour jobs around the property. No experience necessary, all tools and equipment will be provided. Jobs are not difficult, but we are looking for people with attention to detail and who can work independently (instructions will be provided). We are offering 7 nights of private accommodation in a suburban oasis on the North Shore (Auckland) near the Harbour Bridge in exchange for 3x days (3x 6 hours). We are very flexible - ie. you can do 6x half-days (6x 3 hours) or work every second day or whatever suits us both. Unfortunately we are unable to provide food at this time - but you will have your own kitchen, fridge, freezer, bathroom and laundry facilities. We have central heating so you will be warm. This ...

Homestay in Southern Indiana We started hosting almost 15 years ago with idea of building a wheelchair ramp for my daughter. The engineering proved to be too difficult and expensive so the ramp was never built. (Still in search of solutions to this issue.) My daughter is grown and gone now and I’m the one who is physically fragile and in need of help. We are looking for a capable and thoughtful person (or couple) to assist with housekeeping, meal prep and organization. Age doesn’t matter nearly as much as emotional maturity, honesty, and a true desire to help change lives for the better. I want you to feel like family, like a cousin or friend who has come for a stay to stay for a while. Experience with eBay, FB marketplace and photography would be very useful. A licensed driver with a vehicle would be awesome, but not a deal breaker if you don’t have one. Projects currently in the works are - - food prep once a week & freezing ready to eat meals - learning to make cream...

We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. Hello my name is Philip and my wife is Allison. We have a beautiful piece of land in Devon where we look after and breed alpacas. We often have beautiful baby alpacas in the summer. We have some tourism here as we have two bell tents and a shepherds hut. I like nature and the outdoors and like to have interesting conversations with any helpers we have. I am also interested in Japanese and Chinese culture. We normally only take one or two helpers at a time who will live in a comfortable lockable studio with open views of the land. We supply the food and bed linen etc. The work is five days a week and is very enjoyable and variable. It will be feeding and helping the animals as well as some light farm work, nothing too heavy. Also some tidying of the tents. Please do not use headphones to listen to music when outside because you will not hear farm vehicles. Also if you need to listen to music while outside I do not think that this is the right place for you. Please contact me with any que...

Hi beautiful people! I’m Christine, a happy spirited former language and arts teacher working across two continents. Since I retired I work in the natural health field. I live on an urban block called The Roo‘s Pouch, where I maintain a sustainable vegetable garden and created a community of nice people living with me. I live in one of the buildings on this sunny property which runs on rainwater harvesting. We avoid chlorine and contaminates by filtering, harmonizing, and energizing our own water though Ionisation. Water conservation is part of life for me. You can come to Maryborough via plane, bus or train. The Hervey Bay Airport is only 30min from my home. There are meanwhile several bus companies to choose from. If you use the train please book Maryborough town from the drop down menu. Hello and welcome to our profile :). If you are reading this and are interested in helping out please do get in touch. Our limited places get booked up very quickly - especially during the summer months. If you are not available until later on and would like to reserve a place with us please drop us a message and we will chat and try and save your preferred dates. Ideally, a minimum commitment of at least one month is necessary. It takes about 2 weeks to settle in and learn things plus shorter stays do not allow you to fully appreciate all that is on offer in our beautiful area. In the past we have many volunteers who regretted not being able to stay longer. This is the beating heart of the Scottish West Highlands - take time to breathe and enjoy it. Katie and I own a small 'crofting' home in a tiny village called Lochailort and we need help all year round. A reasonably good understanding of the English language is necessary. This location is not ideal for improving or learning E...

We are looking for helpers from right now and have space for two people. We have three small cabins, two with double beds and one with a single bed so room for up to five helpers normally but only room for two at the moment as we still have international surf coaches staying. All the helpers share a kitchen and bathroom. From now end of June we need help with some building work so preference will be given to people who already have some skills with tools.. We are a great place to start or end your time in New Zealand as we are only 45 minutes drive from Auckland airport. The work will be varied and interesting but usually building and garden based. It could include finishing off an underground earth bag hobbit hole. We have a passion for earth building and organic gardening. Its good if you are over the age of 20, are self motivated and can work unsupervised. We are located on Auckland's beautiful West Coast only 40mins drive from Auckland central city. This is a shared-life experience rather than a backpacker hostel or party environment. We live together in a quiet coastal area surrounded by nature, seafood farming, local culture, helping each other, and everyday Japanese life. We especially appreciate people who are independent, communicative, flexible, and comfortable contributing to daily life respectfully and cooperatively 😊 If you enjoy meaningful cultural exchange, nature, practical work, and connecting with both local Japanese people and international travelers, you may enjoy staying with us very much. Warm regards, Your future host, Atsushi Toyoshima 🙏 To everyone sending booking enquiries: If you apply more than thr...

Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week.

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Would like an energetic couple or single person to help out with gardening, and housework. We would expect about 4-5 hours help a day in return for free accommodation and meals. Large bedroom and own bathroom. We have animals so, would prefer someone who enjoyed them being around. There are many wonderful places to explore in Hawkes Bay when you are not working. Fantastic cycle ways, tramping trips into the native bush areas, beaches and wonderful wineries. Prefer you to have your own car to get around and beable to see the region.

The shuttle bus from the train station in Maryborough west (20 min out of town) is free of charge if it is pre-booked.
