We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

I would be very happy to welcome volunteer teachers who are willing to help at my school for two or three months, or even for a full semester. *I want the volunteers who work at my school to not feel like they are working. Instead, I want them to feel that they are enjoying themselves and having a holiday while staying with us. Their room is fully equipped with air conditioning, hot showers, and a spacious private room that is separate from the main house, so they can feel comfortable and relaxed during their stay.* My name is Edison I have a wife, her name is Nofi. I also have two children, Ochta (32 years old) and Fadlil (12 years old). Ochta can speak English. I run a private English school for children between the ages of 7 and 19 in the small town of Batusangkar, West Sumatra. My goal as the principal of the school is to provide youth from my region with the English skills required to communicate better in the modern world, and therefore provide them with better opportunities ...

Would like an energetic couple or single person to help out with gardening, and housework. We would expect about 4-5 hours help a day in return for free accommodation and meals. Large bedroom and own bathroom. We have animals so, would prefer someone who enjoyed them being around. There are many wonderful places to explore in Hawkes Bay when you are not working. Fantastic cycle ways, tramping trips into the native bush areas, beaches and wonderful wineries. Prefer you to have your own car to get around and beable to see the region.

After 16 years, and hosting almost 100 HelpXers, at our property in Larnook, in the Northern Rivers region, Steve and I have moved to a new place in Tenterfield, at the northern end of the New England Tableland. All of our reviews up until September 2024, are related to our previous place. We are now ready to accept HelpXers at our new place. Steve and I are a gay couple and we offer a high quality experience (as you can see from our reviews) and so we expect our Helpers to pitch in and help. The more you put into your time here at Tenterfield, the more you will get out of it. We have lots of small work jobs at present including lots of weeding and gardening, mowing, establishing herb and vege gardens, pruning and cutting back and some other work. Our property is situated a few kilometers west of the town of Tenterfield, in a quiet, rural area. We usually expect around 4 hours per day of work in exchange for all meals, your own room, access to internet (for checking emails, looki...

We live in a fun share house in Maryborough, Marry Poppins Town, with awesome meals and a big edible garden. We're Mars, the owner of the property and Tracy, a former theatre/restaurant owner who's cooking the most awesome meals and looking after everyone like a mum. There're 2 adorable dogs in the family, so you must be a dog lover. Also 6 chicken and 2 ducks, so we always have fresh eggs. We need help with building and creating, and with an awesome but overgrown edible garden. We're about to put 12v solar power into the rooms, also natural air-conditioning and are finishing up the spa bath in the 2nd bathroom... so there's a bit for you to learn and lots of knowledge to take home. We like to work with fun and laughter and love to see you letting a bit of your craziness out. Be yourself and join the family... We have had awesome experiences with travellers so far 😃. Please note that there's a minimum of 1 week stay, we do not like to be used as a pit stop. There's no maximum s...

If you enjoy a calm environment, healthy food, and a bit of a “muck-in” spirit, we’ll get along beautifully! The Space & What I Offer You’ll be staying in a private downstairs suite that includes a bedroom with a king‑size bed, an ensuite bathroom, and a cosy lounge with a couch, chair and desk. You are welcome to come and enjoy our Farm stay in South West Victoria. We have availability for a single traveler in July and October. This is not a paid position. We are currently putting in new wildlife protection fences and planting trees to encourage koala, bush mammals and kangaroos back to our farm and could use your help. We have four horses, three dogs and a cat in need of loving care each day as well as pet sheep. Language exchange is encouraged and we love to try new food if you love to cook. I'm a traveling veterinarian and happy to have a driver so there's lots of opportunity to travel and visit the south-west of Victoria including the surf-coast near Geelong, or the goldfields at Ballarat, see whales at Warrnambool and visit the Grampians mountain range. Our most recent helpers have used our place as a base and done lots of traveling from here around Victoria and South Australia. They've helped us with planting trees, feeding and care of the horses, household clea...

I can't see the world, but the world can come see me. First and foremost, I want to thank all the helpers who came from United Kingdom-England, France, Belgium, Italy, China, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. Welcome Helpers. We are a family of 5 living in the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia. Sue is the founder of Peaceful Hollow. Her daughter Ruth moved to the Hollow later as well as her husband Tim and their 2 daughters. Our hollow is quite with no neighbors in sight. There are no city lights, and you can see every star on a clear night! Our homestead consists of Sue's workshop/cabin, Tim & Ruth's cabin and one very small guest cabin. Also, there is a private guestroom with private entrance on the second floor above the workshop/cabin combination. . We have a lot you can be involved in, knowledge to share, friendships to build, and opportunities for growth. Below are our routines and some projects. We would love to involve you! - Caring for our honey bees, chickens,...

This is an exciting opportunity to have an experience that will stay with you throughout your life. Our Foundation aims at helping rural children receive a qualitative outstanding education. We have a volunteer teaching program to assist rural teachers and children get exposure to foreign languages and cultures. Because English is the second language in Thai schools, we concentrate on improving the English language skills of both rural teachers and children. At present, we aim to help 4 public elementary schools (grades 1 - 6) close to Chiang Mai. We are currently taking applications for volunteers who would available to start sometime between now and the end of June and commit to at least 8 weeks . We are looking for volunteers to teach English only. Couples are welcome as well. NOTE: We do not charge volunteers any fees for staying with us. The generous gift of your time and dedication is all the donation we will ask of you. We provide the volunteers lodging and meals in retu...

We are a couple in a neighborhood in the north-east area of Seattle, Washington. We are interested in hosting a person or two who could help with some yard work, maybe deep cleaning the kitchen, general house projects, etc. Short term stays are best for us (around a week, plus or minus). We ask for 3 hours of help per day (except for arrival and departure days). It's OK to work longer days and then take days off - we are flexible. You have your own bedroom & your own bathroom with shower to use on the lower level of our home. We have two "kids", 25 and 27, all grown and moved away. The photo posted is really old! We enjoy meeting people from other cultures! Our home is near a bus line to the light rail train - 30 minutes to the city center. Walking distance to library, shops and cafes. You are welcome to borrow a bicycle to explore (be prepared for hills!). We like helpers who are friendly and easy going. All of our helpers so far have found a good balance between eng...

Hi you young and beautiful travelers, Bundaberg is a less known touristic town, with a mild climate, beautiful beaches and wonderful surroundings. It is also an agricultural country town with many backpackers hostels . With a bit of lack there might be opportunities for paid work on a farm. It’s only 350km north of Brisbane and easily reachable by train. My home is only a few minutes drive from the town center, yet secluded and peaceful, sitting on 2.5 acres. I am looking for people who would like to visit this promising coastal town and help with general house and backyard maintenance, around 4 -5 hours a day, 6 days a week. The person helping me will have a home away from home and a cosy room to rest in. I am hoping he/she will treat the place with respect and consideration, observing the few requirements related to the use of bathroom and kitchen. Otherwise, regretfully, we will have to part ways sooner then expected. A good home cooked meal and an occasional glass of wine is...

Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week.

I need help with a garden tidy up,culvert clean ( I have a powered water gun ), house clean, painting, and cooking of basic meals, I have a veggie heavy diet, and eat healthily but with delicious treats ice cream, chocolate etc. I ask for 5 hours a day Monday to Friday with weekends off in exchange for all food and accommodation. The first 2 pics are your double room with the view from your room. So you don’t get confused …some of the reviews are from when I lived in Fremantle. I look forward to hearing from you 🙂 Thanks Julia.

Read our feedback, you will be convinced!! Join us for an unforgettable stay onboard Kiwi Logic, our 15 metre mono hull sailing yacht in the beautiful Whangarei Heads area. We have several projects on the go at present which include converting an old 12m ferry into a houseboat, gardening and painting of a house. Please note this position is not about going sailing, but living on our yacht in a beautiful anchorage and performing tasks on projects. In our spare time we can take you diving, surfing, bbq etc. Be assured that when targets are met we will do our absolute best to reward those who help us out! We also have stunning walks immediately nearby. About Us: We are Katrin & Daman a German/Kiwi couple, passionate sailors and when we're not working on projects we like to escape on exciting voyages from Whangarei to some of Northlands best cruising destinations.. We have been fully vaccinated and will welcome helpers who have also been fully vaccinated. My niece and I have a scenic country home on two acres with spectacular views of rolling hills. There are excellent hiking and biking trails nearby, and beaches of Lake Simcoe are only 20 minutes away by car, one hour by bike. We will be happy to drive you there. Two bicycles and high speed WiFi is available. We have two dogs and two cats. We are located one hour north of Toronto - accessible by Go Transit to Newmarket, where we will pick you up. On your days off, we will gladly take you to Newmarket to catch the train/bus to Toronto. We can do the cooking but are happy to share the cooking, and will welcome any specialties you may have. We do not cook vegan or gluten free. If you are vegan or gluten free, then you should probably look for a different host. Also please note that this is also a no smoking, no vaping and no drugs home, and that you must have medical insurance for Canada, ...

Hello helpers! Thank you for your offers! My name is Joe, I operate a Guesthouse and campground in Chiba prefecture, Japan. I am looking for people to help me run my guesthouse, farming. I would prefer one person or a couple (aged 18-60), foreigners and Japanese people are welcome. The minimum time to stay is 1 week, and the maximum would be 1 month (2 weeks at first, another two weeks if we get along). Some helpers stay one month. In the past I have travelled to different countries and met different people. (Recently almost in Asia. 35yers ago i went… Europe: Spain, France, Switzerland, Netherlands, England, Italy, North/Central America). When I got back to Japan, I decided to create a guesthouse for cultural exchanges, and to be able to travel while being at home. I want my guests and volunteers to share their knowledge with me and for me to show them my traditional life in Japan. I am very open-minded and I would love for you to teach me some of your culture. The guesthouse is 3...

We live in the seaside village of Collingwood in beautiful Golden Bay (Mohua). We are 2 1/2 hours north-west of Nelson, in an area famous for its beautiful beaches and wilderness adventuring. 5 minutes walk to cafes, our estuary and an endless beach. Our home is simple and creative, nestled into a Kanuka forest and organic/permaculture vegetable and fruit garden. . Currently we need fit and strong people to help with creative building and landscaping projects. We exchange 2 1/2 hours work for accommodation in a beautiful self contained cottage beside our house (see Collingwood Birdsong Cottage on Airbnb). Helpers organise and cook their own food, and we have shared feasts regularly where everyone creates a dish. We have salad herbs available and plenty of herb tea. A bit about us: Nic is a professional artist and permaculture designer. www.nicmoon.co.nz David is a mindfulness meditation teacher and shiatsu massage therapist who was a Buddhist monk for 18 years. www.d...
