EDIT: We are looking specifically for someone for October/November for the Halloween event and takedown/farm care in November During most of the year the work includes typical farm and household tasks like animal care, gardening, grass trimming, canning/preserving, house sitting if we are away, cleaning of coops, tractor work and/or some building project help. The Halloween event is different - full days which include trailer loading/unloading, construction, using power tools, painting, costume/makeup work, decorating, animatronic setup, and helping to deliver the food and funds collected to the foodbank after the event is over. We've never had a Helpxer regret the experience and all have said they want to come back and do it again one day because it was such an awesome experience! Ideal for enthusiastic and creative people who want to work in a big team environment with laughter, jokes, productivity and a sense of accomplishment for a job well done. Visit the Thames Coast on the beautiful Coromandel Peninsula! Enjoy home brew, home made breads and fresh fish.. Bush crash up the stream, swim at the beach across the road, come fishing with me on the kayaks. Take the bikes, pedal 2km to Waiomu; then tramp/jog to some beautiful Kauri (1/2 to 3/4hr). Do an overnighter at The Pinnacles Hut up the Kauranga Valley if yr into vast iconic views and like tramping (you need to book). If you have wheels you can do great day trips around the Peninsula. And if yr more chill, Thames has some great op-shops or hangout here and make art. Debs & I are happy boomers on the endless holiday, loving every second left ! However, we seriously need help with the massive task of 296: gardens to create & jungle to clear ! We are keen to host people who want to help, who are comfortable speaking English (or trying) and value simple routines and shared respect. We are on an 70 acre farm in North Pope County, Illinois and are virtually surrounded by the Shawnee National Forest. Having been on this farm for 13 years, we are still developing infrastructure and are continuing to plant in the orchard and various berries as well as establishing and expanding garden and crop areas. We are a GMO, herbicide and pesticide free farm in all of our outdoor areas. As we are far away from "modern agricultural" property, we feel that we should have no problems with cross pollination of our crops with GMO's or damage/exposure from/to ag chemicals. There are many projects currently in process or in the planning stages. This summer/fall we hope to get new water and electric lines ran to all the barns and the greenhouse as well as get a fiber studio framed in and get the finishing touches on the greenhouses. Tasks on the farm are endless, so there are always things to do year round. Clearing brush, cutting wood, building fence, baling hay, sawing lumber, ...

Small farm with. orchards, chickens ducks. Need helpers to assist with common garden tasks as owners getting older. Delicious meals could be available, otherwise stay in private self contained cabin with cooking facilities. Possible painting jobs also. Would expect 4 hours a day at least for full board, but could work 3 full days and have 4 days off. Lovely area with close access to coast, Maleny, Beerwah with rail links also close by. The last picture is of our tiny house recently refurbed. STOP press we make lovely gourmet healthy food but really need to know your dietary requirement before it's agreed you come. My husband is mostly vegetarian (eats fish) gluten free and I am diabetic and have a low carb diet. This means that people who come and then reveal they are fodmap or don't eat fish or dairy make our lives pretty tricky. We do have a self catering cabin but you would have to shop and do your own thing.

It is our mission to provide visitors from all over the world with an authentic experience of the unique atmosphere and culture of our home in Canada’s far North. As a well-established tourism company, we are diversifying our impacts and create a more resilient business. Doing this is not only fulfilling our long-term mission of developing a self-sustaining Arctic Eco-Village, but also investigating innovative solutions to major obstacles facing communities in the North: food and housing insecurity, decolonizing our economy, capacity development and cultural revitalization. Sustainable farming is not the only focus we have here, but we are continuously developing ideas and trying new farming methods. We are happy to find people from all over the world who are as motivated as we are to make living in the Arctic more sustainable. Purpose – to steward land and livestock responsibly while sharing practical skills, meaningful work, and the rhythm of authentic Texas ranch life. ⸻ 🌿 About Me Howdy — I’m Adele, and I run a 25-acre working ranch in Central Texas, just across the road from the Colorado River. The land is gently rolling and hilly with dry creeks, pasture, and a pond. After retiring from public service (public safety and U.S. Marine Corps) I chose a life centered around land stewardship, livestock, and building with my hands. Last year I spent two months volunteering on farms in Scotland, Ireland, Italy, and France. I wanted to understand the volunteer experience firsthand — what feels fair, what feels supportive, and what makes the exchange meaningful. I worked hard, observed carefully, and now aim to offer that same level of clarity and respect here. I manage: • 36 Nigerian Dwarf goats • 35 chickens (hens and roosters) • 9 ducks • 2 cows with calves • 4 working ranch dogs • 2 barn cats A...

** CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR HELP** Hi, welcome to NZ, and hopefully to Kōpuaranga, Masterton! Our home out of site of other houses, so a rural experience, views and usually a great night sky are guaranteed - yet still only a ten minute drive to our service town of Masterton which has rail links to Wellington. We have now been on this property for 18 months, so much has been achieved with HelpX travel friends, but we are only half way through... Outside we are building bird rearing pens, raising chickens and sheep, and further developing our produce and ornamental gardens. Inside we are wallpaper stripping...

(La description en français se trouve plus bas !) We are a small Buddhist community living in the forest close to Sainte-Julienne, Quebec. We have an organic fruit tree nursery, along with many other projects on our land: several fruit orchards, chickens and bees, growing our own vegetables and herbs and trying to be independent in many ways. The six people who are staying are: Ajan, Eric, Veronique, Elisabeth, Natalie and Camille. Each of us have arrived here one by one, at first just interested in helping out in the place, and then as we found that this lifestyle was for us, deciding to stay for longer. For part of the year we also have a couple of employees staying with us. There is also a wonderful dog named Dali. Our organic nursery and garden occupies a land of 9 hectares, surrounded by forest. As well as the main land of the nursery, we have another smaller land where a few of us live. This is, in fact, where the community started to grow from very small beginnings in the ear...

Hi We are a couple with young son who live within the Shepherds Ground rural off grid village and farm community. The community is currently in its early stages (12years) with various hemp and sustainable houses under construction. As well as our day jobs we run a small garden around the house and are planting lots of natives while we finish our hemp house.. We can offer a warm, friendly and healthy environment with your own room to sleep in (full AC available so great in summer and winter). We have a kitchen where meals can be prepared from the veggies, eggs, honey, organic meat and produce from the property. You are asked to stay one week minimum and invited to stay for a few months if this suits everybody’s needs. The jobs will be various and will depend on time of year and our schedule: May include garden jobs, weeding, planting native trees, composting, light farm work and some deck building, de-nailing recycled wood for building and inside painting and wall rendering etc Some...

I have an opening for one volunteer person to help me with everyday life of looking after animals and some gardening, weeding & basic maintenance of the farm and some house duties in COLLINSVILLE north Qld. I only have the capacity for one person. This is a great opportunity to get away from the city life and enjoy some country living. I have cats horses and chooks. There will be horse riding/training that you can help me with , I do western ranch & trail training, so I prefer someone that has riding experience 😀🐎 And a good understanding of English would be great. Meals accommodation wifi are supplied. Accommodation is a little caravan close by the house, which has a mini art gallery. ( if you like painting or doing craft we can do some painting ) Prefer 1 month stay, but shorter stays like 2 weeks are ok too. We have a mixed farm on Swanpool Creek, in Swanpool (north east Victoria) with a farmhouse on the top of a hill with views of the surrounding mountains. We have a vineyard that produces award winning wine (Chardonnay and Shiraz grapes), a eucalyptus tree plantation, a large garden (as well as a veggie garden) and a small flock of Dorper sheep, an alpaca, 3 horses and some chickens. We are looking for people that would be willing to stay for a minimum of 4 days and work about 5-6 hours a day/5 days a week in exchange for comfortable accommodation and delicious home cooked meals. The work is variable and (depending on your skills) can include things such as helping in the vineyard, gardening, farm maintenance, looking after the farm animals, carpentry, painting and cooking. Swanpool is centrally located in beautiful north east Victoria in the foothills of the Australian Alps. Hi there, We're looking for some help with our household over the next few months. We have availability from next week, 31st August, onwards. We have a busy period with work and training, so we'd love to have someone stay with us and assist with walking our dog once or twice a day, some light gardening and painting projects, and occasionally being an extra responsible pair of hands around the house with the kids when needed. This could suit someone who is already working part time in Auckland or looking for work, but the help that we need is in the morning so would need to fit in with this. Ideally, we'd love someone to stay for a few weeks or longer. We live in the Morningside/Kingsland area, which is very central and has great shopping, cafes, pubs and bars. We're just a few minutes' walk from the train station and local bus routes. The bedroom is downstairs from our main living area and has its own ensuite and small kitchenette. The kitchenette has no cooking facilities, only ...

Please note : We are booked out until mid/end October. apart from a gap from mid to end of September. Please read our profile before you write to us!!! Hello lovely helpers, welcome to "Breakfast at Tiffany's" which refers to a movie from 1961. It's also the title of a song from 1993. Before we introduce ourselves I would like to let you know that we are not worried about your skills, we don't expect any experts, but someone who genuinely loves plants and to help. We prefer if you can cook and bake bread. For us, communication is the most important thing and best is someone who has a sense of humor and fits into our sociable family. If you are a recluse (or even very introvert) and rather hide in your room or look at your phone or can't commit to help due to your circumstances, please don't apply. We like playing (modern/strategic) board games, card games and often play Codenames, Concept, Cascadia, Azul, Forest Shuffle, Earth, Tsuro and Bananagrams, many games can be played even...

Crops raised include Wheat, Peas, Ryegrass Seed & Vegetable Seed crops. The farm also runs some Sheep & Cattle. Our helpers almost always leave with new skills which often include operating Quad Bikes and Tractors. At certain times of the year I can find paid work for you. I am easy going & well travelled, I like to enjoy life.I'm also a Couch Surfer host and like to meet people from elsewhere in the world. Interests include Mountain Biking, Fishing, Gardening, Self Sufficiency, Music, Travel, Camping & Hiking. The farm is close to Ashburton (8km) which has all services. Rivers, Recrea...

We are currently accepting helpers for 2026. At this time of year we have lots of repair, building, animal husbandry, 'old' school pasture creation, gardening, food production, preservation, and harvesting and other gardening projects on the go. Depending on timing there may be opportunities to participate in animal butchering, sausage making, cheese making and more. (Any job involving animal slaughter is always optional and available only to those who would benefit from the experience.) We expect 25hrs a week and provide all meals and Accommodation in return. Outside of specific farm based events such as sausage making, your schedule is up to you if you are an independent worker. Many Helpers prefer to compress their work week or even change their days-off and we are always open to that conversation. If you are looking to learn about soil science, Permaculture or regenerative agriculture, Marc is an experienced educator and sought-after public speaker who is willing to take ...

I am an aquatic ecologist who has fortunately been working out of our coastal rain-forest property for 35 years. Driven by strong curiosity, I have recently been developing long-term data sets on the animal life in the forest that surrounds our home, plus on tropical marine fish that are steadily increasing in numbers under the influence of climate change at the nearby very beautiful Seal Rocks area (for details click on my website link below). We have 20 acres with 2 acres cleared and the remainder moist tall forest and rainforest. It is on the coast 3 hrs drive north of Sydney (1.5km from Smiths Lake; 30km south of Forster) See my blog link below to glimpse the accommodation, typical work and fun. We have a 180 squ m vegetable garden at times needing attention which has been enclosed to keep out our friends the wallabies (pademelons), possums, parrots and native bush turkeys. Bush regeneration is another activity as well as assisting in ecological surveys of local rivers when t...

If you love wildlife, the outdoors, great views and good food, send us an email (only emails from this site will be responded to). This is very much a cultural exchange (for us and for you) as you will be in our family home sharing our lifestyle. NO SMOKERS OR VEGETARIANS PLEASE. We prefer our helpers to stay 2 weeks or more. Work outside is a major part of what we do so expect to be outside on a rural property as part of the experience. Please message us through this platform to allow us to view your profile The property is located 60km South of Brisbane and 20km West of the Gold Coast on the upper North slope of Mt Tamborine, 320m above sea level. We are surrounded by National Parks and abundant wildlife. The property is 6Ha with a sub-tropical climate and has great country views to the North up to 140km on a clear day. We also have a tennis court (I will always give preference to tennis players who love to cook and eat great food), an outdoor cob pizza oven, chooks/ducks, two Rh...

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) , please don't come if you have a heavy cold or flu, I'm involved with the elderly. Cheers Al

Kia ora koutou, we live in a three bedroom villa in Invercargill with my sixteen year old daughter, one eyed cat, two adopted stray cats. We enjoy conversations, and I can teach you some dance, qi gong, meditation, and yoga if you are interested. I enjoy meeting people from other cultures and are interested in helpxers for various DIY tasks for my older villa but am open to other creative ideas. At the moment during winter I would like someone to share their culture and cooking with my daughter and a little help with gardening - you don't need any specific skills. I prefer to have someone that would adapt to our routine. Our household is mostly vegetarian. We live close to the estuary and can occasionally watch the aurora from there. I have an interest in ecology, a masters in psychology, have traveled broadly. We have a queen bed available. I look forward to meeting and sharing a slice of life with you :)

Bush crash up the stream, swim at the beach across the road, come fishing with me on the kayaks. Take the bikes, pedal 2km to Waiomu; then tramp/jog to some beautiful Kauri (1/2 to 3/4hr).

Organic methods: In the summer time, when we enjoy 24 hour sunshine, we grow our plants in greenhouses without the use of any chemical/artificial fertilizers....

Would like to learn and look after a vineyard and winery this season, no experience is necessary. Established in 1998 and hosting HELPXers for over 15 years, it is the only certified organic winery in the Perth region. It is situated in the Swan Valley, 7km from Elenbrook and 15km from the Perth airport. The vineyard has 3,000 vines, a large house we live in, a machinery shed, and a winery/distillery on the property. Winemaking occurs during the summer months from January to March. A large, spacious room with a double bed, attached to the house, has a private entrance. Applications for mature couples as applicants are now open. Opportunities for vineyard and maintenance work are available. Couples with Visitor Visas are also welcome. I want (NON-smoking) volunteers who wish to experience domestic, distillery, vineyard, and winemaking work. During the season, there are generally outdoor activities, such as winery and vine work, plus gardening if it is not raining or too hot. Be ...

An easy pick up or drop off if you do not have your own vehicle. We are located just a 1.5 hour drive north of Wellington off State Highway 2.
