We are an extended family, dogs and cats. We live in the south Italy (trulli area). Read to the end! If you don't read to the end, I'm unlikely to consider your request. Yes, exactly! ))) People this is an exchange, and an opportunity for growth. You need to be curious and positive. Otherwise, this experience is not for you! Commonly we need help from In March/April for the garden around our trullo and studio or museum events. October/December and January/April (but it changes every year). we have the Olive Harvest! We are currently looking for volunteers and assistants in our art lab, studio and summer camp activities. We have some cultural projects underway, with curation, programming, and management. We need help to restore and maintain the houses and the work in our laboratory. We work with stone, wood, clay and earth, iron, glass, etc... We love and respect the traditional constraction manner of this land. But we also are very open for new ideas and possibilities that resp...

Hi people out and about... Two people (only our suggestion for company), non smokers please, the stay is bus based, independent, off grid, the bus has a working on rudimentary composting toilet, (the view is great, one of the first jobs is to finish the walls!) We have been reflecting and now highlight why we suggest other reasons for couples or two friends. The reason behind that is that the new helpx accommodation is our bus which is 100 m from our house which has 4G (but no Wi-Fi). We find after dinner at some point we head off to our own spaces, people/day/discussions dependent so we can have some time to ourselves. (We fully engage through out the day where possible) We do have water and lighting in the bus plus showers after a sunny day (working on heating options) We have found that not all people cope with time by themselves, surrounded by nature, so a real opportunity to self reflect. (life, the universe and everything!) The washing machine is available, river is 5 minute...

If you love wildlife, the outdoors, great views and good food, send us an email (only emails from this site will be responded to). This is very much a cultural exchange (for us and for you) as you will be in our family home sharing our lifestyle. NO SMOKERS OR VEGETARIANS PLEASE. We prefer our helpers to stay 2 weeks or more. Work outside is a major part of what we do so expect to be outside on a rural property as part of the experience. Please message us through this platform to allow us to view your profile The property is located 60km South of Brisbane and 20km West of the Gold Coast on the upper North slope of Mt Tamborine, 320m above sea level. We are surrounded by National Parks and abundant wildlife. The property is 6Ha with a sub-tropical climate and has great country views to the North up to 140km on a clear day. We also have a tennis court (I will always give preference to tennis players who love to cook and eat great food), an outdoor cob pizza oven, chooks/ducks, two Rh...

HAPPY end of SUMMER 2026 Things have been moving along, slow but meticulously! It feels good to be making progress and I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel…on my sailboat. There are plenty of volunteer opportunities; a lot to do, at any skill level. Many projects take only 5-30 minutes to explain and easy for someone new to do the specific project well. Other projects require knowledgeable skills and other projects necessitate someone that has a fair amount of specific experience. Anyone that volunteers on my sailboat can join me sailing once my boat is back in the water later this year or at some other point in the future! I anticipate my boat will be back in the water by mid to late Autumn. If this interest you, or you have questions, contact me through HelpX or call me direct via my mobile phone (also WhatsApp number). Below is a list of some of the projects I hope to complete Install 1) solar panels 2) a DUO GEN, which produces electricity by wind & whil...

We are developing and caring for a peaceful private retreat on 25 wooded acres near Nevada City, California. The property overlooks the South Yuba River canyon and offers a quiet, natural setting for people who appreciate independence, community and time outdoors. This is a private retreat property, not a campground. Nobody currently occupies the main house as a permanent resident, although there is a volunteer staying on the property at present. The house has two private guest bedrooms upstairs, along with a bathroom for those rooms. Downstairs is a shared communal and functional area with a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, living room and dining area. Additional accommodation includes a separate sleeping cabin w With its own kitchenette , loft and exterior foot tub , and there is also an RV that can accommodate a volunteer, depending on availability. There is also three bathrooms (true letter inside the main house ) and one that is outside the house in a different location and is...

Hi We live in paradise. Between the sea & the hills in sunny Te Horo, on the beautiful Kapiti Coast (see photo of Kapiti Island from Te Horo Beach). We've built a comfortable place for you to stay (the purple cabin)... now come & help us keep on top of our glorious acres. We currently only have chooks & cats. We grow much of our food and enjoy a healthy outdoors life. I love making good food for us and our helpers. Our food choices in order are: 1… homegrown, 2… local, 3… organic. I am looking for someone from mid to late August for 7 nights. Preference a solo or two friends, or couple. Preference for help with office administration, IT, technology, too hard for me. Plus assorted household tasks. I have a modern clean home, cosy warm home. Full kitchen, bathroom, and laundry. I am looking for diligent, hard working, giving helpers. Helpers that fully embrace the help exchange program. Various tasks inside and outside dependent on the weather. My standard request is a minimum 7 nights. I often work alongside my helpers on projects if and when required. My standard is an average of two half hours per day and you provide your own food. We usually work in the mornings depending on the tasks and weather and other things. I can be flexible too. Sundays, usually off. Daily helping hours can vary and some day hours are longer and other days shorter. I am a home stay, so its dependent on the weather and task required and changes daily. I HAVE A NEW AND BEAUTIFU...

We are a couple who have bought a piece of land with a house in Mallorca, and we need a hand to help us renovate the house and take care of the garden. We already travelled a long journey but it's still a lot to be done . The big value we expect from the volunteers is the company and sharing memories. Also, we are people that in the past travel a lot, and we miss the cultural exchange. For daily task here are some examples: help with construction tasks, painting, gardening or cleaning the garden. We also have 2 chicken and a roaster. The house is in rustic area there is no public transport near by. So we can give you a ride or you can bike to the nearest village which is 3 km away, in the village you have access to bus and train station with good communication.

We live on an alternative lifestyle block with "off grid", barn living. On the property we have a small organic banana farm which uses permaculture design principles and composted food waste from City to Farm — an initiative that gathers food scraps from urban areas and delivers them to nearby farms. We have horses, dogs, chickens, and graze cattle regeneratively. For accommodation we have a big barn space which can house a lot of people comfortably. Currently one young kiwi staying there. Where possible we grow and eat our own fruit and veges from our vege garden and our small grove of fruit trees. We also have 15 acres of regenerated native bush on our property which needs tending to. Our water is supplied from rain water, and a natural spring, and the property runs on solar. Meals will be vegetarian, happy to accommodate vegans as well! Most of your work will be in the bananas, but there will also be the opportunity to work with the animals, in the bush, in the vege garden/orchar...

I am an aquatic ecologist who has fortunately been working out of our coastal rain-forest property for 35 years. Driven by strong curiosity, I have recently been developing long-term data sets on the animal life in the forest that surrounds our home, plus on tropical marine fish that are steadily increasing in numbers under the influence of climate change at the nearby very beautiful Seal Rocks area (for details click on my website link below). We have 20 acres with 2 acres cleared and the remainder moist tall forest and rainforest. It is on the coast 3 hrs drive north of Sydney (1.5km from Smiths Lake; 30km south of Forster) See my blog link below to glimpse the accommodation, typical work and fun. We have a 180 squ m vegetable garden at times needing attention which has been enclosed to keep out our friends the wallabies (pademelons), possums, parrots and native bush turkeys. Bush regeneration is another activity as well as assisting in ecological surveys of local rivers when t...

STUNNING PLACE IN TASSIE SURROUNDED BY NATURE! Hello, it's Stephen and Philamae here. We have a beautiful rural property in Buckland, Tasmania (45mins NE from Hobart airport). The views are stunning - the accommodation is lovely and we are running it as holiday accommodation as we move towards turning it into a funky retreat & micro-wedding space. A pair of the endangered and majestic wedge-tailed eagles live 1km away and often soar above us. Our website link below has a lot more photos of our place. I am a 47yr old Englishman living with my Greek partner. We have a large land in a small village - Velanidia - in the Peloponnese near the sea. The nearest town - Neapoly - is 30 minutes drive. We would like our visitors to enjoy the beauty of this place and in return give us five to six hours a day to help us with the upkeep of the property. Most of the tasks will be working on the land. You will have your own room, with superb views, and eat with us twice a day. On most days there is free Wi-Fi, provided by the local municipality and can be used from the balcony of our home. We like our visitors to stay for at least two weeks minimum but prefer longer stays. I would like to point out that where we are has a very long summer. Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) , please don't come if you have a heavy cold or flu, I'm involved with the elderly. Cheers Al

Hi beautiful people! I’m Christine, a happy spirited former language and arts teacher working across two continents. Since I retired I work in the natural health field. I live on an urban block called The Roo‘s Pouch, where I maintain a sustainable vegetable garden and created a community of nice people living with me. I live in one of the buildings on this sunny property which runs on rainwater harvesting. We avoid chlorine and contaminates by filtering, harmonizing, and energizing our own water though Ionisation. Water conservation is part of life for me. You can come to Maryborough via plane, bus or train. The Hervey Bay Airport is only 30min from my home. There are meanwhile several bus companies to choose from. If you use the train please book Maryborough town from the drop down menu. The shuttle bus from the train station in Maryborough west (20 min out of town) is free of charge if it is pre-booked. As international travelers you qualify for a concession card on Queensland tr...

We are a cultural and arts community that is working towards being self-sustained. The community is situated in the mountains of Monchique, Portugal surrounded by nature. Our community provides an alternative way of living with permaculture gardens, farm animals, sustainability projects, and arts and cultural workshops. It is a great place to come to meet other like-minded people if you are passionate about sustainability and alternative living. We hold community meetings throughout the week alongside activities and workshops, such as quiz nights, dance nights and yoga classes. If you have something you are passionate about and want to share with others, we would love for you to run a workshop. One of the best things here is the variety of tasks you can do as a volunteer, which gives you the opportunity to learn new skills and discover what you enjoy doing most. We have a combination of short-term and long-term volunteers and on average we have between 10 to 20 volunteers and resident...

Hello, I’m David! I have sold my coffee shop after 45 years in the hospitality trade, where travelling workers would once work, however I STILL offer helpers the same excellent own room lodging as homestay & great food in exchange for a little light work and some social contact. I live close the train station and bus stop and am a 30 min trip by train to Melbourne City. There is a vehicle to drive locally if are appropriately licensed. You are welcome to use it. I go to the outback in western New South Wales about 3 times a year for the purpose of experiencing the beautiful "timeless land" of Australia and to legally hunt feral animals which endanger our wildlife. I often take workers to the outback so they can have a taste of the real Australia and I can assure that none of the numerous helpers/woofers I have taken over a many year period did not thoroughly enjoy it. . However the choice is theirs whether they accompany myself or whether they stay and "mind the house" I also oft...

Kia ora and hi! :) We live next to a subtropical rainforest and large community orchard in urban New Plymouth, on a peaceful, green half an acre. We are looking for help in expanding the native forest on our back slope bordering the forest, with tree planting and weeding, as well as developing our gardens, waterblasting, painting and other property maintenance, and sometimes deep cleaning jobs within our home. We are a friendly couple in our 40s, interested in culture, travel, music, sustainability and community. We have two boys, a 11 year old and a 3 year old, so require HelpX'ers who enjoy and are familiar with children and the sometimes busy daily life they can create. We have a ping pong table, piano, organ, guitar and ukulele, and enjoy socialising and sharing food with guests, and sometimes playing board games together, going for local walks, swims, or visiting the Farmers Market. We have one spare bedroom with a queen-sized bed, and a wood-fired sauna. Carl teaches org...

Welcome to our community project in the heart of Lazio, Italy. We are a group of people committed to self-sufficient organic farming. This nonprofit project aims to grow in our local community by sharing the agroecology journey, respecting the environment, animals, and the work of those who participate. Our goal is to provide everyone with the tools to produce their own food and to discover the importance of these activities through practice. We also strive to work in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, respecting everyone's time and needs, and sharing the fruits of our labor in a convivial atmosphere. The heart of our project is an old wood-fired oven in need of renovation. We simultaneously manage three different locations with 2 hectares of ancient grain cultivation, an olive grove, a synergistic vegetable garden, a traditional vegetable garden, and a horse boarding facility. First, we'd like to renovate the bakery, which is an important meeting place for us, where we not only bake ...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. PLEASE NOTE WELL: we absolutely cannot host anyone with any pre-existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions), such as hay fever, any other allergies, sensitivities or intolerances. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees.

We have a ping pong table, piano, organ, guitar and ukulele, and enjoy socialising and sharing food with guests, and sometimes playing board games together, going for local walks, swims, or visiting the Farmers Market.
