We are a small theatre company and during the summer months we run a small hotel, Hotell Vagabond, in Abbekås at the south coast of Sweden. It is a unique hotel where visitors live in genuine Gypsy Wagons. The house is an old school with a theatre, restaurant and a gallery. In July and August we need help with running our hotel. This basically means cleaning and preparing the wagons in the morning and help as a waiter in our small restaurant some of the evenings. Occasionally we also have some cultural events during this period and need some help also with this. This is a quite fun places to be at and if you are an open minded person the chances are good you'll have a great time here. We have a dog, Dusty, so it's good if you like animals – as well as people...!

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) , please don't come if you have a heavy cold or flu, I'm involved with the elderly. Cheers Al

Would you like to be the first to live in a new cob tiny house? If so, do get in touch with us, we’d love to hear from you… We (a couple from the UK with our 13-year-old son), have realised our dream of moving to Portugal and now we need your help to transform our land from overgrown garden destroyed by wild boar to the lush, productive, permaculture paradise we know it can be! You can see some of the damage they have done in the photos. We are building a cob tiny house too (see the photos) which will offer loads of interesting experiences for th...

Summer discription: besides our work on the farm we organise international workcamps, long-term stays, and voluntary work in different companies as printery, carpentry, farming, nursery If you like to learn milking cows or driving an old tractor, cutting hedges, shear sheep, build fences or throw honey, test your strength in the muck or while digging the garden - you should join us. If you find dung and greens not so interesting, we understand :-) We are a living and working community with different workshops and bio-dynamic farming in Germany, Baden-Wuerttemberg. We are doing carpentry, printing, video production, publishing and distribution - it is always possible to help. Depending what you want to learn, you can help. We have four more than less old houses here in the village, so we also have to do a lot of construction work. The farming we do is not a business for us to earn money.

Nestled in the coastal range of Mendocino County, California (about 45 minutes Northwest of Ukiah) we are establishing a small farm and wildlife sanctuary. Based on principles of sustainability & permaculture our expanding ridge top garden and orchards consist of a variety of fruits, veggies, herbs and flowers. Aside from garden and orchard tasks additional projects may include gathering seaweed and other native wild foods, cooking, canning, fermenting foods, making herbal preparations, habitat restoration, brush and trail clearing, small scale green building and learning how to build and maintain an off-grid infrastructure and solar system. Please read all of our information before contacting us. We require a one month minimum stay, and currently we have space beginning July 1st. Our homestead is remote and therefore not for everyone. We prefer those who want to unplug and enjoy the serenity of a mountain forest. If you are open minded, love to be out doors, want to get your ha...

This is a small project in a heritage farm house in beautiful Lower Saxony. We are,at the moment, three people, two cats and some chickens. We speak German, English, French and Spanish. Our house is in the middle of the village, and we enjoy the contact to the people around us. We've got an idyllic yard and sometimes do parties or small cultural events - this year, we are taking a break though to concentrate on some bigger building projects. Otherwise, we cook together, or just hang out. Most of us are working/studying, so you might spend some time alone around the house - or you can go swimming in our local swimming pool, biking or hiking around the village or visit the World Heritage sites in nearby Hildesheim! Help needed around the year would mainly be renovation/restoration, e.g. plastering, painting, maybe some carpentry (as in improving the chicken coop or, if you feel like it, restoring old furniture), but we are also happy if you help with the house work, the garden, or cooki...

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

We are offering travelers a warm, comfortable two-story Celery Top Pine Pole home we built ourself. You will enjoy magical views of the ocean and mountain and will wake to the sounds of the wild birds that flock to our food and water bowls. We are regularly visited by possums, wallaby's and various other wildlife. If you're lucky you may even see a Tasmanian Devil. We aspire to a sustainable way of living and adore our large established organic garden, which we are needing help with maintaining. We ask helpers to provide a minimum of 4.5 hrs of work each day for 5 days with two full days off. If you would like a day off after working a few days we ask you to make up the hours on other days. Some helpers also purchase their own food and only work 2.5 hours a day if this suits you better. We are also very flexible and happy to listen to your requests. Previous gardening experience is essential as well as cooking/helping with evening meals, household duties, and other jobs as required...

For an experience in a farm with horses and dogs, if you love nature and are not afraid of hard work! Here you’ll find silence and peace, and also many splendid places to visit. [UPDATE: We don’t have availability for a position in horse care only. But we have availability for a strong person, hard worker, to help outside with the bush clearing, using the brushcutter, driving the tractor to grind the fields, apart from helping a bit with the animals and the handling of horses. Note that we are very busy during the week, and we can't go and check our emails every day. You might have to wait a bit for an answer. Sorry for this.] We live in a sparsely populated area called Berry located in the center of France between Orléans (60km) and Bourges (50km). The closest city is Gien, 27km away. Just west is the county called Sologne, where nature is all around, though we are at only 2 hours from Paris. East is the Sancerre valley. We are looking for handy volunteers or good riders. Check...

She is in training to search for truffles in the local forests. Brandy is a middle size dog weighing ca. 19kg and is very active. She is very intelligent, playful and uber friendly to everyone she has contact with. Brandy is being trained and fed by Dave, but she requires walks and exercise when Dave is at work. Hello, thank you for looking at our listing. After a little break from hosting we're looking for helpers for April - October 2026. We are Cathy (47) and Leo (who is 14 years old.) We live in a lovely, but messy little cottage in a very beautiful glen. We are semi-off-grid and at the moment there's several issues with the plumbing so please do not apply if you need a daily hot shower! We like to have several helpers so friends are welcome to apply, alternatively we are happy to take single travellers - but please be aware you may need to share a sleeping area with other helpers (who we will ensure are the same sex and similar age to you.) The accommodation is extremely basic, the house is in disarray and I currently resemble a headless chicken for much of the day! Only apply if you are comfortable with untidiness and disorder. However, despite this you will have fun, be well fed and happy. The gardens and surrounding countryside are beautiful and peaceful, so escaping the crazines...

Hello travelers, my name is Abidine Al-Boudani. I live with my family in a small town called Tagounite in the southeast of Morocco. Our family only settled during the middle of the last century, originally we descend from nomads, but have made a home in the Daraa Valley now. In walking distance to our house we have an organic farm, a 50 year old heritage from when my grandfathers settled down here. The farm is a beautiful place for anyone - be it people coming by themselves, friends, couples, families, pets - to spend an enjoyable time, connecting with the nature of the desert. ~ACCOMODATION~ Volunteers with tents can pitch them in the garden. Some families who come with a motorhome, truck and vehicles have the option to park right next to it. Currently an insulated tent is being constructed next to the garden house, which is also in progress. This accommodation will offer a more quiet environment than the family house, but comes with no bathroom yet at this point. If people need ...

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . Hello. We are a small Llamas farm, located in the Pyrenees mountains. If you are looking for an original French experience, it could be the right place for you! Here in the high Pyrenees, near the Andorra & Spanish border, we offer you the possibility to live and work in a calm and isolated place, surrounded by high mountains and nothing but pure nature, and good meals "à la française" after our activities among our lamas (about 15 of them). We are a retired French couple, but we used to work and live in foreign countries and continents, which made us interested in people and cultures from all over the world. In the surroundings, there are beautiful places that we would be happy to make you discover, and if you want, we can trek together with Llamas... For your own, you get an entire and cosy apartment (2 bedrooms, 1 or 2 people, single or couple), and join us for generous meals, mostly with local products, that we like to share and appreciate together (so, no vegetarian requir...

Hello, We are James and Jane and we look forward to welcoming you to Seafield. While help in the garden is welcome at anytime, in 2026 we are especially looking for help from late July to late August to look after our polytunnel and garden and keep on top of the watering and weeding. This is an opportunity for a longer stay than we usually offer. Please note - What we are offering is accommodation only in an excellent two bedroom cottage next to our house with all mod cons, full cooking facilities and wifi. Think of it as an opportunity to spend time in a self catering holiday cottage in a beautiful scenic area in exchange for help. You’ll be providing most of your food and cooking for yourselves. I will provide basic foods - a range of dry goods (rice, pasta, flour etc) in the store cupboard along with herbs, spices, cooking oil, tea, coffee, sugar, homemade jam and cake and produce from the garden when available (mostly during July to September - the season of abundance is short ...

We live in a nature sanctuary on Corfu island in Greece. we are a COMMUNITY of PLANTS, ANIMALS AND HUMAN BEINGS, who try to live together IN THE SPIRIT OF NATURE. we are organized similar to a zen monastery. yet we are not affiliated to any religious body, but to the holy body of our mother earth. the earth takes care of us. the earth gives to us what we need. she gives us and she for-gives us – she never asks for money… we admire the communities in nature (ecosystems), where all members balance their needs and gifts in a healthy way, without money, without machines and without chemicals. here in NATURE’S SANCTUARY we try to live in harmony with nature. we try to support and protect all our nature brothers and sisters, who share this sanctuary with us… it is a CHALLENGE TO LIVE IN HARMONY WITH NATURE. it is a challenge to protect and support all nature beings in a way, that they have the chance to live in their own natural born communities. we are looking for people, who want to take...

Permaculture project with idea and space to create an eco-village. The quinta is located in Alto Alentejo 2km from Portalegre. 15 hectares with magical forests and a beautiful valley provided by seventeen sources and several mines with healthy water where too people live permanently for the moment,Isabel, a communication manager and Michel, a carpenter who is the founder of the project. There is also one dog, five cats, for chickens and six sheep. The project is now in the phase when it’s open so that more people can live here. Because parts of the ruins are ready for occupancy, there is space for people who want to stay longer, which can bring new and stronger dynamics throughout the year, not like before, when there was only a lot going on in the summer months. So far there is already a beautiful gardens going on and numerous species of plants, shrubs and trees which deliver us plenty of food. We are happy when someone shows enthusiasm for the garden because this is a central part...

Cheers Al

Check...

Dave loves to cook and the BnB thrives on his cooking skills, website reviews and best of all word of mouth! Also known as "Dave Cuvee" to guests and social friends, creating quality, delicious meals with love and passion is my destination. Most helpers leave here with extra kg, I am not talking about extra carry luggage ;-) Brandy is a female Hungarian Vizsla born October 2013.

We're a truganic, biodynamic, permaculture farm in the Catskill Mountains of New York State, two hours Northwest of NYC. 24 acres with approx. 4 acres of wetlands. Approximately 5 acres under cultivation. We follow all the organic standards, and above (since organic standards are constantly being downgraded by the USDA), but are not certified organic. We DO NOT use pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, "cides" of any kind, or chemical fertilizers. We also follow biodynamic & permaculture principles. Season is April through October. We appreciate 5 hours of work per day, 6 days per week. You can choose 8 am to 1 pm, or 7 am to noon. Sundays off. Visitors help with planting, transplanting, weeding, spreading hay and wood chip mulch, hauling, fertilizing, harvesting, making biodynamic preps, building and maintaining hugelkultures, clearing of brush, stacking of wood logs, roto-tilling, taking care of chickens, building fences, pathways, ponds, compost boxes, other building projects, etc. ...
