I am offering private accommodation, (separate from the house with own bathroom) and all groceries/meals in exchange for odd jobs - painting, gardening and lawn mowing. There is plenty to do in the area including fishing on many of the nearby high country lakes (1.6km spectacular walk to Lake Sarah) day walks/ tramping in Arthurs Pass National Park and Craigieburn forest Park, skiing on one of the 5 local ski fields, four wheel driving, Scree jumping (down Sugar Loaf). Other nearby facilities are The Bealey Hotel (10mins) and Arthurs Pass 20mins. In exchange I would like four hours work per day. Cass can be reached by car...

We live in a nature sanctuary on Corfu island in Greece. we are a COMMUNITY of PLANTS, ANIMALS AND HUMAN BEINGS, who try to live together IN THE SPIRIT OF NATURE. we are organized similar to a zen monastery. yet we are not affiliated to any religious body, but to the holy body of our mother earth. the earth takes care of us. the earth gives to us what we need. she gives us and she for-gives us – she never asks for money… we admire the communities in nature (ecosystems), where all members balance their needs and gifts in a healthy way, without money, without machines and without chemicals. here in NATURE’S SANCTUARY we try to live in harmony with nature. we try to support and protect all our nature brothers and sisters, who share this sanctuary with us… it is a CHALLENGE TO LIVE IN HARMONY WITH NATURE. it is a challenge to protect and support all nature beings in a way, that they have the chance to live in their own natural born communities. we are looking for people, who want to take...

Offering food and accommodation in exchange for help in the gardens and elsewhere on the land. The project is to grow all the food needed for a small number of people in a way that benefits biodiversity as well as soil health and human health. The gardens are inspired by perma-culture principles, we are growing annual crops together with perennial plants, that will slowly expand, becoming food forest. We prefer to use as little machinery as possible. Nearly everything is done by hand. This year we will cut a large meadow by scythe, replacing the use of tractor. We eat vegan and organic, mostly from the garden. There are no domestic animals on the farm, but many wild ones. We ask for around 25 hours of work per week. The work typically involves a wide variety of tasks, depending on the season. Volunteers will have some flexibility about what tasks they do and when they do it, so it will not be only weeding or tedious jobs. Only a small part of the land is farmed, the rest is left wild t...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. PLEASE NOTE WELL: we absolutely cannot host anyone with any pre-existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions), such as hay fever, any other allergies, sensitivities or intolerances. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. We live on a small family farm on the border between Østfold and Akershus, surrounded by beautiful lakes, forests, and open countryside. The nearest city is about 30 km away, making our home a peaceful place for those who enjoy nature and a slower pace of life. We are a family of four. I am 42 years old, and my husband Jake is 37. Our children Liam and Freya are 10 and 18 years old, although during the summer holidays they spend much of their time with their grandparents. We are a traditional family with rather unusual professions. I work as a livestream content creator while my husband works as a detective. We are looking for 1 or 2 helpers for the summer season. Previous HelpX experience is appreciated and we prefer non-smokers who shall be comfortable with the nature of my work.. The help we need is light and varied, usually only 2–4 hours per day, with weekends completely free. We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week. This is what we are about in a nutshell: Inner peace for a compassionate world. You will be helping us to prepare this place for residential retreat and short break visitors to open fully in 2026. We will be hosting well-being, personal-development, meditation and similar groups as well as some guests who are holidaying in the area. The group retreats operates as a community interest company. During the Summer / Autumn 2026 we are doing a lot of internal building work [building new timber stud walls, putting plaster boards up], decorating [painting walls] and grounds maintenance. So plenty of opportunity to increase your practical skills and gain experience in renovating. We will also be hosting guests and retreats. and part of your work may be preparing rooms for their arrival. We value authenticity, integrity, honesty and self-awareness. We have put together this outline as a result of our hosting experience so far. We find that it helps to clarify what is on offer here and wha...

Nestled in the coastal range of Mendocino County, California (about 45 minutes Northwest of Ukiah where the weather is more pleasant) we are establishing a small farm and wildlife sanctuary. Based on principles of sustainability & permaculture our expanding ridge top garden and orchards consist of a variety of fruits, veggies, herbs and flowers. Aside from garden and orchard tasks additional projects may include gathering seaweed and other native wild foods, cooking, canning, fermenting foods, making herbal preparations, habitat restoration, brush and trail clearing, small scale green building and learning how to build and maintain an off-grid infrastructure and solar system. Please read all of our information before contacting us. We require a one month minimum stay, and currently we have space beginning July 1st. Our homestead is remote and therefore not for everyone. 🌿 Come help on our farm! We need friendly volunteers to join us with cooking, cleaning, gardening, and everyday tasks — no experience needed, just a good attitude and willingness to muck in.We are looking for helpers between the ages of 18 to 32. We are a small community of friends working towards a better life in a beautiful part of rural Devon, in the Tamar River Valley Estuary where you will make friends for life. In exchange for your friendship while you are staying here we will endeavour to teach you new skills that will carry you through life. A small farm in a beautiful location! Our farm and home probably date back to pre 1660's, with many additions since. It has been left to go wild for the last 40 years. The river has otters, seals, beavers, salmon, sea trout, and sea bass. With buzzards and owls overhead. There are deer in the surrounding woodland. The aim for our farm is to give the land back to nature and at the same time create an organic food source that we can freely ...

NB - just in case you don't get to the end of the profile - we are vegetarian (mostly) - and we don't take picky eaters. - or smokers. We are terracing a steep section (with an amazing view), developing a fernery and planting out an orchard and native hedges. There are fantails and keruru in abundance. Though the development is sometimes hard work, it`s creative and fun. We are getting there but we could do with a bit of help from strong fit people whose knees can handle walking up and down a steep garden - usually with a load on.. We also have work repairing and painting garden furniture. We prefer hosting a couple or 2 friends who are keen gardeners - or have carpentry or brick laying skills - to help with garden maintenance. We also have a couple of hard-landscaping projects involving path construction and maintenance. Ideally, we would like people who are able to work with minimal supervision, who take pride in their work and want to do a job well, who are self-motivated, have ...

We are a family with three children, 12, 11 and 7 years old. The children love music and sports, same with the adults. We love watching games of our local soccer team SC Freiburg. We like to play football, volleyball, long distance runs, biking and tennis. In winter we enjoy skiing in the close mountains of the Black Forest or Switzerland. With school of the kids and work our weekdays are quite busy. During holidays we enjoy traveling and getting to know new people and different cultures. We can offer a single room located in the city, under the roof, with a separate bathroom and a little kitchen, so one is flexible with preparing own meals. From our place it takes about 10 minutes to the City Centre, only. There is a tram stop directly in front of the house, and a train station is a 10-minute walk away, making it easy to visit the city center with it’s beautiful surrounding area that offer many famous sights for travelers, including Freiburg Minster, the historic old town with its...

We are a Farm and Cattle Ranch. Along side this, we run a small homestead at our home property to provide our own meat, food, and garden food as well. We love our farm lifestyle and the work we put in as a family but we also love to relax and go on adventures. Nearby we have the Moosejaw tunnels! Cypress Hills! , Fort quapelle lake and we are apart of many small town living sports, and rodeos! A day usually starts with breakfast and chores to make sure all the animals are happy and upkept, the garden checked over, and then daily tasks are made depending on the weather and needs of the farm. Daily tasks vary and we can teach you anything between moving cows, calving, animal care, pen cleaning, checking fence, fence fixing etc. Then once the farm is kept up there are many things to do around here! Some days is campfires and community ranchers to hangout with! Another day we might go horseback riding! Maybe the lake house for a weekend and go boating and fishing and swimming! Sometime...

The bus runs at the bottom of the hill every 20 mins, but the schedule is best checked on the app. Just $2 .50 with a orbus card. The room is small, with two bunk beds, a desk, with wi fi, and chrome cast tv. Our position is for all areas of house keeping at a professional level. We run a B&B, meeting place, and pop up cafe on occasions. The work is physical and fast paced. It is a sole position. Previous experience is preferred. And longer term is preferred if it works . Experience is really most helpful. As I need to just let you get on, while I have other things. So from 8 am to 1 pm, in exchange for breakfast lunch and evening meal. You have a small room with desk, chrome cast screen, a set of bunks. I cannot cater for dietary needs sorry. And This is sole charge position. So a good level of fitness initiative, and be able to self direct are important.

We hold community meetings throughout the week alongside activities and workshops, such as quiz nights, dance nights and yoga classes. If you have something you are passionate about and want to share with others, we would love for you to run a workshop. One of the best things here is the variety of tasks you can do as a volunteer, which gives you the opportunity to learn new skills and discover what you enjoy doing most. Hello Potential Volunteers My name is Paul and it was my dream to change my lifestyle from being an office worker to becoming an alpaca farmer.... here we are 14 years later with 100 alpacas, each individually cherishes with names and unique personalities, plus an assortment of other animals all needing our love :) I have three children: Liam (21), Dylan (9) and Oscar (6), and our 100-acre farm is home to approx.100 alpacas, plus llamas, peacocks, hens, mini pigs, a cat named Sexy, and our farm dog Malta. This year we are expecting 20 'cria' (baby alpacas) and each one will need our help so they can thrive! We need to ensure they get colostrum (filled with antibodies and vital for good health) – have they fed from their mums within the first 24hrs? Are they then drinking enough milk from their mums every day? Are they gaining weight? The well-being of my animals is the most important thing on the farm. Do they have good food and enough water, and the best possible natural environme...

I have 3. You can use my wool or other materials to make yourself a small item. This takes most people about 1 week. Although some are very keen and do it fast! I also paint and draw so you might feel inspiered to join me with that. Bring your own sketchbook but I have some paints you can use - watercolours. There is an outside room with a double and a single bed in it and a composting toilet and a shower. There is also a caravan. I can pick you up in Linkwater which is our closest town although its only a Pub and a petrol station but its on the main Queen Charlotte road half way between Picton and Havelo...

We are looking for a motivated volunteer (or a couple) to join our small sled dog company from end September onwards, ideally for a minimum of one month. A longer stay throughout autumn and winter would be a real advantage, and if we are a good match, we would be happy to continue the collaboration. This opportunity is probably not for everyone. Life here is simple, physical, sometimes challenging, but incredibly rewarding for someone who truly enjoys dogs, nature and outdoor living. We are a small family-run sled dog kennel with around 40 dogs, 30 chickens, and turkeys, located in Posio, Finnish Lapland, about 20 minutes from Posio village and 40 minutes from Kuusamo. Our daily life revolves around our dogs. We spend our days caring for them, training them, improving our property and slowly building our dream, one project at a time. Our priority is our dogs. Always. Their wellbeing comes before anything else, and we are looking for someone who shares the same respect, patience and car...

Summer openings for some of August Wow, exploring right outside our backdoor along side the Campbell River on Vancouver Island, is a beautiful place to experience Vancouver Island`s great outdoors this SUMMER with all the wild life right in our back yard :) Although we live on a one acre town lot, our back yard is situated on a cliff over looking an accessible beautiful heritage river, with a nature park setting of ferns, Douglas fir, maple and alder trees. You can often see deer, raccoons, bears and the silver backs of salmon and Steelhead fish jumping in the ebb and flow of the river’s pools. We have trail access to the river below, where you can enjoy listening to the sing song of many birds, tubing down the river/swimming in the heat of the summer, and trying your hand at casting for Steelhead fish. As well, our neighborhood is the access point to many scenic nature hiking, walking and biking trails. The ocean photo was taken a couple of miles from my home and all other photos...
