We (Adrian & Jo) have a small family owned vineyard and wine company. We are in the Waihopai Valley, 23km from Blenheim. Our adult daughter (34 years), is currently at home with us, working in the vineyard. So, we only have one bedroom available. We live in a 150 year old school house and have one very friendly dog. At present we require help with general vineyard work like knocking off the low growth on vines and wire lifting. We would welcome anyone with any handyman skills etc. General duties include caring for the animals, gardening, mowing, weeding, fence repairs, painting, wood splitting and other odd jobs. We can provide accommodation in exchange for 20 hours per week. We are 5km from the local shops and public transport, so it is more convenient if you have your own vehicle.

My home stay is part of Mia Mia community housing co-operative where we have a 2 acres of wonderful organic garden, located in beautiful Denmark. Because we are on the south coast we are close to several magnificent beaches, where surfing is available and we have forests of Kari trees and the Bibblumun track for bush walking. There is a lot of natural beauty here and much to see. We grow our veggies and fruit organically an we have a small orchid and 2 chook runs. We love having travellers and those who come always enjoy themselves. My own property is in need of some gardening help and some landscaping. Inside my house I have a comfy room available for one or two people, free Wifi connection and hearty food for breaky or dinner. I make a mean curry! I could use some domestic help inside my home because I'm usually pretty busy.

Namaste! We welcome you to join our family of students and teachers living at a Buddhist School/Monastery in a national park. We are located just 10km from Kathmandu in a very peaceful forest with no traffic sounds, just birds chirping! We have 28 kids between the ages of 7 and 18 years old, all of whom live and study here. With the intention to help underprivileged children and to provide modern and Buddhist education, we serve kids from very poor areas, some without parents, and/or families struggling to survive so the school is a special place for them because it provides them with a family and an opportunity for a better future. Our students are very loving and kind to volunteers so you will very quickly be absorbed into our big family! We do not have any external financial support which we need to feed the kids and pay for teachers, so we must get creative in order to sustain our special school. We mainly produce wine, olive oil fruits and vegetables. Helpers will be hosted in an independent small apartment or in a room in the main building. We are a waterski club, hosting waterskiers from beginner to national competitive level. The help needed to be done 3 to 5 hrs per day, such as mowing grass, making firewood and regular yard and home maintenance.
