Hi, I live in a modern bungalow, high on the Knockmealdown mountains, called "THE VEE", a very scenic area, covered in wild rhododendrons which flower May/ June. This small holding is friendly, warm, chaotic, fun, flexible, hard working place, full of laughter and accommodates all the animals below. These animals are my children and come first, their needs are paramount. 8 dogs and 3 puppies , 8 cats and lots of chickens, 49 ducks, 1pigs and 1 piglet , 31 ewes, 3 rams, 2 weather's and 2 lambs, I have two children in their 30's who live and work in manchester. they visit when they can. My mother stays here permanently and is a great baker of scones and pies when not taking a holiday in hospital. Hahah She loves playing cards and word games, ideal for learning the language. She requires a bit of company during the day as she is 98 and quite frail these days. . She is able to do most things for herself but requires a little attention from time to time. We often have a jigsaw on t...

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

During most of the year the work includes typical farm and household tasks like animal care, gardening, grass trimming, canning/preserving, house sitting if we are away, cleaning of coops, tractor work and/or some building project help. The Halloween event is different - full days which include trailer loading/unloading, construction, using power tools, painting, costume/makeup work, decorating, animatronic setup, and helping to deliver the food and funds collected to the foodbank after the event is over. We've never had a Helpxer regret the experience and all have said they want to come back and do it again one day because it was such an awesome experience! Ideal for enthusiastic and creative people who want to work in a big team environment with laughter, jokes, productivity and a sense of accomplishment for a job well done. A love of Halloween and horror movies is not necessary - just an open heart and mind and a willingness to be a part of something bigger than yourself! :) Hello...

Bonjour ! We are Hélène and Lucas, a thirty year old french couple who bought a house a couple of years ago in a little town called L’Isle-sur-le-Doubs. You never heard about it ? Well, it’s time to change that ! Forget about Paris and the Eiffel Tower and come and discover Franche-Comté, one of the greenest region of France, known for its famous cheeses (Comté, Morbier, Mont d’Or, Cancoillotte …) and its Jura wines. We are ideally located along a canal which is also the path for the famous Euro Velo Route 6 going from Nantes to Budapest. There we opened a Bed and Breakfast to host cyclers AND ALSO created an association where we organize events for the locals in our barn and garden (concerts, board game nights, workshops …). Your mission will be to help us getting ready for those two things before summertime. Tasks at the moment will include : - Emptying, cleaning and arrange the barn - Gardening - Housework - Logging - Helping to organize an event if one is planned during ...

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON Not much work to do here now, so I mostly only take 1 person at a time. Not the place just to get a free room.for a while, but also not the place if you get bored easily You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town, which is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay. For an experience in a farm with horses and dogs, if you love nature and are not afraid of hard work! Here you’ll find silence and peace, and also many splendid places to visit. [UPDATE: We don’t have availability for a position in horse care only. But we have availability for a strong person, hard worker, to help outside with the bush clearing, using the brushcutter, driving the tractor to grind the fields, apart from helping a bit with the animals and the handling of horses. Note that we are very busy during the week, and we can't go and check our emails every day. You might have to wait a bit for an answer. Sorry for this.] We live in a sparsely populated area called Berry located in the center of France between Orléans (60km) and Bourges (50km). The closest city is Gien, 27km away. Just west is the county called Sologne, where nature is all around, though we are at only 2 hours from Paris. East is the Sancerre valley. We are looking for handy volunteers or good riders. Check...

Our family runs a western riding facility with 30 stalls, where we provide horse boarding and training, including reining and cow work. We also have a western saloon, where we host weddings, special events, and are open for our club members on weekends. In return for cleaning out stalls and feeding horses (and the odd other job), we offer room and board, sorry we cannot host vegetarians; we include you in family activities and you have the possibility to improve your riding skills in western riding (cow work and reining) in our 30 x 60 m arena and - how about -learning some line dancing!! A bicycle is available, if you want to explore the near surroundings. We are located close to Switzerland, it`s about a 15 minutes car ride to Basle, and also only about 20 minutes to Germany. Our area is a great tourist region. If you are mature, fit and self-motivated, willing to stay for a minimum of 2 weeks, experienced with handling horses, we would be happy to hear from you!

Hola todas! My place is an old grain mill with half a hectare of land. I live here for more than 17 years and hosted many volunteers. Work is mostly in the garden. Weeding, digging, planting, watering, harvesting and off course eating. There is a big cat family living on the land. Help in the kitchen is welcome. Special dietary requirements must be met by the helpers. In the area there are many activities possible. More yoga teachers than there are yoga students. Meditations, dancing, healing, massage, channeling, singing,....! Many communities of all sorts (hippy, midwives, subud, soefie). Hiking in all directions. Even skiing starting beginning of December. I try to keep a healthy environment, so no drugs that cloud your spirit. No dogs either. People mostly stay between one and two weeks. Work is about 5 days a week, 4 hours a day. Food and lodging included. Flexible. Work depends on peoples abilities. During summer months (June until September) I don't host because of high te...

We are on an 70 acre farm in North Pope County, Illinois and are virtually surrounded by the Shawnee National Forest. Having been on this farm for 13 years, we are still developing infrastructure and are continuing to plant in the orchard and various berries as well as establishing and expanding garden and crop areas. We are a GMO, herbicide and pesticide free farm in all of our outdoor areas. As we are far away from "modern agricultural" property, we feel that we should have no problems with cross pollination of our crops with GMO's or damage/exposure from/to ag chemicals. There are many projects currently in process or in the planning stages. This summer/fall we hope to get new water and electric lines ran to all the barns and the greenhouse as well as get a fiber studio framed in and get the finishing touches on the greenhouses. Tasks on the farm are endless, so there are always things to do year round. Clearing brush, cutting wood, building fence, baling hay, sawing lumber, ...

During most of the year the work includes typical farm and household tasks like animal care, gardening, grass trimming, canning/preserving, house sitting if we are away, cleaning of coops, tractor work and/or some building project help. Nous sommes Pierre-yves et Paul, deux hommes gay. Nous habitons dans le sud ouest de la France, dans le très joli département de la Dordogne. Nous sommes horticulteurs. Bonjour ! We are Hélène and Lucas, a thirty year old french couple who bought a house a couple of years ago in a little town called L’Isle-sur-le-Doubs. You never heard about it ? There we opened a Bed and Breakfast to host cyclers AND ALSO created an association where we organize events for the locals in our barn and garden (concerts, board game nights, workshops …). Your mission will be to help us getting ready for those two things before summertime. Check...

Hello! :-) We are Hanne 54, Kjetil 56 and Ferno 2 (dog). We have resently relocated to our new farm situatet in the lovely hills of Gausdal, a valley just Northwest of Lillehammer.
