We have been living on our property in the heart of Gascony for two years. Our family also includes 3 dogs and 6 chickens that we rescued. We are looking for a single person or couple who enjoys helping out, whether in the garden or with renovations (painting walls, laying parquet flooring, tidying up, etc.). We need help 3 hours per day. My husband and I are vegan/vegetarian. We provide the renovated holiday home. The property also features a pond and a natural swimming pool. Anyone who loves nature will appreciate our peaceful retreat. The nearest small town is a 10-minute drive away. Many events take place in the region during spring, summer and autumn. There is no public transport nearby. However, the hiking trail is right outside the door.

A room is available for your homestay. Because of the help I would like to ask, mature ladies who have enough experience/knowledge of handling house holding chores and cooking are welcome. No problem if you cannot cook Japanese dishes. Vegetarian is welcome only from summer to autumn. It's easy to talk about next step of your homestay if how long from when, how you can help, what you want to do during homestay in addition to help works are written in your request. I will reply to only applicants who read my profile and understand/satisfy requirements. I'm a 67 years old male living alone and have a small private organic vegetable garden. I am happy if someone can help me to maintain vegetable garden and household chores including cooking. I also can enjoy helping my guest to learn Japanese language. We can visit at sightseeing places/aesthetic landscape when we have free time. At the same time, I'm interested to hear your stories about helpx and learn foreign languages as well ...

Live in a yurt on an 83-acre off-grid redwood mountain retreat in California, help build a unique glamping camp, learn practical off-grid skills, and spend your free time exploring the forests, beaches, and mountains of the Santa Cruz region. Although it feels remote and peaceful, we are only about 15 minutes from Boulder Creek, 30 minutes from Silicon Valley, and within easy reach of Santa Cruz, Big Basin Redwoods State Park and the California coast. I'm originally from the Netherlands and moved to California to build a life in the mountains. I enjoy meeting people from around the world, sharing stories around the campfire, and working together on meaningful projects. We are looking for independent, practical and adventurous people who enjoy working outdoors and don't mind getting their hands dirty. We are Michael and Esther and live in a villa in Swedish Lapland, surrounded by lakes, forests and endless nature. We are looking for one person or a couple to help us around our property during the summer season. The main tasks are cleaning and preparing guest rooms and common areas, helping to keep the property tidy and welcoming, gardening, outdoor maintenance and occasional DIY projects. We offer a private apartment with kitchen, bathroom and WiFi. In your free time you can enjoy hiking, fishing, kayaking, SUP, cycling, sauna and the beautiful nature around us. After an intense house renovation, we are now entering the final phase, focusing on cleaning and refreshing the house. From APRIL (for about one month), we are looking for help with PAINTING work inside and outside, as well as some light gardening tasks such as weeding. This period is ideal for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and likes to see visible results at the end of the day. From JUNE onwards, as the weather becomes warmer, the help will mainly consist of daily HOUSEKEEPING tasks (cleaning, ironing), with occasionally some light gardening. We’ve found that this experience works best for people who enjoy staying active and contributing in a practical way to daily life. We truly appreciate volunteers who bring positive energy, a hands-on mindset, and a genuine willingness to help. We are a Belgian family who has been living in France for over 20 years. In our late fifties, we speak French, Dutch, English, and a bit of Spanish. Our home is located in the beautiful r...

Update: we have an available slot for 3+ weeks from 20th July to 11th August. We are then looking for a helper for 4-5 weeks from 22 September through to the end of October. Please read the listing fully. My husband and I live in a beautiful, listed, 100 year old house in a lovely part of Scotland. We are surrounded by rural countryside, but well located for exploring much of Scotland and are walking distance from the small rural town (more like a village) of Alyth which has a few shops, cafes and a good bus service. There are lovely walks from the house as well as further afield and we can sometimes lend a bike to use for exploring (but it is quite hilly round here for cycling). Both Dundee and Perth are easy to reach on the bus, with St Andrews just a little further away, also accessible by public transport. Wildlife in the area include red squirrels (in the garden), deer, beavers and buzzards. Our house was a project when we purchased it in 2018, so to help finance the extensi...

I have need of someone to help with gardening there is a lot to do and need you to like the outdoor life. I can lend you an old coat and gardening gloves for this. I am a strictly non smoking place both inside and out. Smokers including those who vape, will be asked to leave. I take in rescue dogs and then rehome when they are ready, you definitely need to like animals I have had people come who have an allergy to animal hair and dust. This is a farm atmosphere so dirt, dust and animal hair are normal here. I ask for five full hours a day please. The South West of England is a lovely area in the country close to Dartmoor National Park and also the Devon/Cornwall border, very scenic a couple of miles from Dartmoor National Park. 2km away there is a huge supermarket which sells everything from food to washing machines, it is open until midnight except for Sunday when it has reduced. Permaculture project with idea and space to create an eco-village. The quinta is located in Alto Alentejo 2km from Portalegre. 15 hectares with magical forests and a beautiful valley provided by seventeen sources and several mines with healthy water where too people live permanently for the moment,Isabel, a communication manager and Michel, a carpenter who is the founder of the project. There is also one dog, five cats, for chickens and six sheep. The project is now in the phase when it’s open so that more people can live here. Because parts of the ruins are ready for occupancy, there is space for people who want to stay longer, which can bring new and stronger dynamics throughout the year, not like before, when there was only a lot going on in the summer months. So far there is already a beautiful gardens going on and numerous species of plants, shrubs and trees which deliver us plenty of food. We are happy when someone shows enthusiasm for the garden because this is a central part...

Hawaii Beach Project: This is a construction project that believes in creating positive change by using sustainable methods and newly invented building materials and procedures. Our project has been underway for over a decade and through the process we have had the opportunity to present a transformative experience for individuals who want to work on not only bringing the building and environment to a higher place, but to also bring themselves to a higher place. We provide and encourage all who come to volunteer to participate in meditation groups and seminars, yoga practices, healthy eating options (all of the food here is provided for you!), and make strong and lasting relationships with everyone who lives here! We are looking for long term help in carpentry, mechanical, electrical, fiber cable installation, tiling, masonry, and drywall. I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

I am in desperate need of helpers to tame my garden, planting the winter growing season veggies plus harvesting and pruning fruit tree. Due to family health issues I have been away in Canada for a total of 16 weeks over two visits during the last 9 months needless to say I have become a bit behind. This is the best time of the year to be in the garden. We are a working cattle farm/station located on the edge of the Australian Outback within an easy 2.5hour drive from Townsville and the Great Barrier Reef. We are located about 40minutes from the major cattle hub and historical town of Charters Towers I love to cook and grow our own food. One of my hobbies is preserving food and baking which has resulted in me starting a Small business called Darlene’s Country Kitchen. I sell my products and produce in our local town, Charters Towers. We also attend a regular Market on the 4 Sunday of every month. Helpers will be expected to feed and water chickens, ducks and geese, collect eg...

I used to do glamping big time, I've stopped it it's just too much for me now......the accommodation for volunteers is a caravan with a compost loo outside, you have a cooking facility, to prepare your own meal. I am quite solitary, and early riser early to bed person, happy to work together and chat during the day. I am happy to buy all your food needs, but ask you to prepare your own food, as I am an extremely simple eater, so do not cook as such... You do need your own car here, as public transport is non existant I am deaf, but have a cochlear implant now so not too bad..... Thanks The place is located in a small village called Brilley, no public transport, nearest town Hay on Wye is 5 miles away. please email me or phone thanks

Do you want to help us build up our organic farm & Land stewarding project? We live in a remote, quiet spot in the knockmealdown mountains with our family! The nights (when clear) are star filled, the wind in the trees is gentle and the view is broad! We love this piece of earth that we are so lucky to be able to tend and steward! We are so happy to share this peaceful spot in nature in exchange for work that contributes towards building up a place that can nourish us as well as the generations to come! We dream of native woodlands, and ponds, of diverse animals making there home here and of a place where the air is clear and the land flourishes with abundant life. If you need to unplug, and breath out, and find a bit of quiet, than this might be a great fit for you! Perhaps you have a paper to write, a project to plan or need space to get away from the busy bustle of everyday life. We can offer a place where you can connect to nature, and enjoy the peace of the Irish mountains! A ...

Helpers!!! Need help!) Especially for carpentry work to build a pergola at the barbeque area Looking for the helper. I am in a permanent building process of my old stone house. Any building skills are very welcome!!)) Masonry, carpentry, strong hands and clever mind - all I need here)) The house is situated very close to the cost of Atlantic ocean. Big plot of land rounded the house - so garden skills are welcome too. The place is really nice to stay for the nature lovers and surf fans. There are dozen absolutely stunning beaches around here almost empty when the tourist season is over. Really beautiful mountains full of chestnuts and mushrooms in the autumn. Fishing and horse riding are available too (I have a beautiful stallion). And of course the costal views are amazing (authentic paradise for the photo enthusiasts)! Preferably artistic minded people mostly the painters who can share there knowledge and art skills. Artists with strong hands are welcome))

Hi, my name is Sylvia and I'm Dutch. After having lived for the majority of my life in cities I wanted to roam around with Helpx, so I did. However, I fell in love with the first place where I stayed, many years ago. A very small rural village in Bavaria, Germany, at the Czech border. I rented the huge house and intend to stay here, with my little dog, for the rest of my life. It’s a beautiful hilly area and the forests invite for long walks in which you may spot deer, lynxes, boars and other animals. Public transport ends in Weiden (train) or Lohma (bus), but I have a car, can pick you up and drop you off. Plenty to see within reasonable distance like Nuremberg, Regensburg, Munich, and Prague. Ski and snowboard centre at 7 km distance and lots of others a bit further away. In the holiday season, Christmas markets can be found everywhere. You will have your own room (with WIFI) and a shared bathroom, and you are welcome to the rest of the house too. I‘ll try to cook for you what you...

We are a family living in the SW Alentejo, Costa Vicentina, running a small rescue horse sanctuary in the middle of a forest, 12km from the ocean. Our main passion is the care and rehabilitation of rescued horses, providing them with a safe and loving home for life. We also do pedagogical work with teenagers, and in the winter season we work with medicinal & entheogenic mushrooms. We are currently in need of immediate help during the rest of June and the first 3 weeks in July! Their involvement is purely in the day-to-day care of our rescue horses and general upkeep of the sanctuary. We welcome you even if horse work isn't your main focus, there's always something to do around the property. Horses will always be around, and you'll have plenty of opportunity to connect with them. We're looking for people who love being around animals and enjoy working outdoors. If you enjoy simple hands-on tasks like helping maintain fences, clearing paths, basic gardening or forestry work, you'll fit ...

This is for those of you who plan ahead. We are full until mid July, right at the start of our best fishing season and in the middle of our best weather when at least some of the time we should be cutting great timber from unwanted trees using a 26 inch/56cm bandsaw. So anyone who loves fishing, snorkelling on inshore reefs and is good at DIY or carpentry and loves the simple, quiet, rural life by the beach, next to the rainforest, this is for you 🤗. We appreciate help with DIY construction, repairs and maintenance, timber work, boat work, metal work repairs to trailers and for help with gardening, housekeeing, cooking, duck and chicken rearing and dog walking on the beach. Fishing, snorkelling, and rainforest walks can help occupy your spare time. We are looking for reasonably good DIY handymen and women, capable of working effectively, when necessary, on your own or as a pair and, ideally, someone who also has some gardening experience, but that is not really necessary, learn o...

We're Mars, the owner of the property and former owner of multiple language schools and Tracy, a former theatre/restaurant owner who's cooking the most awesome meals and looking after everyone like a mum. There're 2 adorable dogs in the family, so you must be a dog lover. Also 6 chicken and 2 ducks, so we always have fresh eggs. We need help with building and creating, and with an awesome edible garden. We're about to put 12v solar power into the rooms, also natural air-conditioning and are finishing up the spa bath in the 2nd bathroom... so there's a bit for you to learn and lots of knowledge to take home. We like to work with fun, laughter, music and love to see you letting a bit of your craziness out. Be yourself and join the family... We have had many awesome experiences with travellers so far 😃. Please note that there's a minimum of 1 week stay, we do not like to ...

You do not need professional experience, but a positive attitude, willingness to learn and comfort with steep mountain terrain are important. Possible projects include: * Repairing and i...

We have hosted lots of helpers over the years, and love the different people we have met. We enjoy the cultural exchange and look forward to meeting you. We are a family with two kids, on a small farm with some sheep, chickens, dogs, cats and horses on the banks of the Macquarie River, at Narromine, in central NSW.

🏔️ Help Wanted: Alpine Farm Restoration & Lambing Season! Location: Lower Austria (Rax Mountain/Schneeberg area) Vibe: International, hard-working, family-oriented, and authentic. For us, the exchange is a two-way street. We want to learn from our guests as much as they learn from us, creating memories through shared meals and conversations. We are a pretty colourful bunch of nice people composed of an austrian and a middle east family and long standing international friends. Actually living here permanently: Feri (1982), Lise (1975) and the children Layla (2013) and Aisha (2015) and other family members are coming regularly to see us to enjoy the time together and preparing a mix of delicious oriental-european-food! Same as a lot of different visitors (friends, helpers, family) from all over the world are enjoying this place of meeting and exchange. The Mission: We are living the dream on a 150-year-old estate in a stunning water protection area, but to be honest—last year was a...
