Dear helpers The blueberry harvest starts around 20 June, so we need a lot of help. We use the berries to make jam, syrup and sorbet ice cream. By the way, our pool is ready! This is a small old farm with a lot living space for rent. We have 6ha land to gardening, for animals and forest. 2 Highland cattle mothers and 1 calf are on the pasture. We are bio-gardening for self-needing or for transformation our products: marmalade, vegetable salt, Pesto …Here are growing apple trees, pears and stone fruit trees. We have blueberries too (400kg) which is a specialty our region. They are ripen in July! We have location and sometimes are groups with disability here. They enjoy the dog Milou and the 3 cats. In the pounds we have fishes. In the winter season, we are occupied with the transformation our products, or often prepare the firewood and renovation work. Remiremont a small city, is 5 km from here. We look forward to get to know new interesting people. Yamina and Christoph

We are a women’s collective growing aromatic herbs in the foothills of the Pyrenees. We are looking for help with weeding and harvesting our plants (lavender, rosemary, thym, savory etc), and turning them into products in our workshop. For info on our project - https://www.naturellementchouette.com/). We generally ask for 4-5 hours work a day in exchange for meals and accommodation in our house or barn. There is plenty of space to put up tents or park vans, or you can stay in one of the houses in our eco hamlet. Our ideal helpers have some experience or love of gardening, or enjoy physical work, or like to live simply, close to nature. Work hours can be flexible with whole days off planned for exploring the area. There are lakes, rivers, mountains, all within easy reach, as are small villages with lots going on in terms of concerts and events over the summer. The food is mostly vegetarian but some meat occasionally appears on the table. Look forward to meeting you, Lesley

I'm Julie and my partner Charles and we are an older (in age) couple living the dream and have a small slice of heaven in the Tweed Caldera surrounded by a lot of Australia's wildlife. Our place is 26km inland from Murwillumbah. It's a 45 minute drive from Gold Coast airport, just over the Queensland border. We are 900kms north of Sydney. It is a 1 hour 20 minute flight to Gold Coast (OOL). From Sydney to Murwillumbah by bus takes 15 hours. When not working we travel to SE Asia and bush walk our local area. We are both accepting of all and our mantra is 'Peace, Love and Understanding'. There are no rigid helping hours or conditions. Jobs are dependent on weather conditions and what needs to be done at that time and what helpers would like to get involved with. Julie is multi skilled and talented in lots of areas. Conversation is never dull! Charles was born in Scotland and lived in Canada before coming to Australia. He also has a wide range of interests and skills. You name it, ...

Our property is located on the edge of the Blue Mountains National Park. We are about 2km from the township of Wentworth Falls, 4km from Leura and 6km from Katoomba. The local bus runs from the top of our street about 200 metres away. We are close to some excellent walks and we have a couple of mountain bikes available. It is our family home but we also let our Gatehouse out through Airbnb (you can view this from the website link). Our property is comprised of a couple of acres of garden, some paddocks and the rest is bush. We have some chickens, a dog and a horse. We are also beekeepers. We are currently looking for help with gardening, cleaning and light renovation work. We also need some help to gather firewood and look after the animals. We expect around 20 hours per week and also help preparing meals. Work is very flexible depending on the weather and what needs to be done. Length of stay is generally 1 week with a possibility of extension to 2 weeks.

Welcome to our wonderful mountains still considered part of Melbourne! If all this sounds of interest, we’d love to hear from you! We can accommodate stays of anything from a week to a couple of weeks/months - let us know what works for you. You are very welcome at our home as long as you have a negative RATS on the day you arrive as we have vulnerable family members. We are a friendly family interested in having a cultural exchange and supporting you during your stay. We basically need help in improving and maintaining the property, help needed would include gardening, painting and general housework. We were a busy couple with a great social life. We need help as we have long-term injuries after car accidents and a large part of our property was destroyed in the June storms in 2021. Sometimes our adult children 28-36 are home and 6 grandchildren under 5. We currently have 1 dog that does not come inside and have a huge yard (in case yo...

Update 11 June: sorry we aren't hosting helpers until August. Thankyou Kia ora, we look forward to welcoming you to our home. We are located in central Ōtaki, a town rich in Māori culture and language, and with a fascinating history. At the moment we have available, a room with two single beds in it, and shared use of bathroom facilities. We also have a spa pool you are welcome to use at any time. In exchange, helpers provide 4 hours of work per day on the house and grounds. Jobs are likely to include: gardening and garden maintenance, some small mending and DIY jobs or cleaning. Possibly some painting (interior). The grounds aren't very big, but we are working towards producing as much food as possible. Our family consists of myself and two boys (age 13 and 15). We are a family that speaks both English and Māori, and very involved in our native culture, and we are happy to share this with you and answer any questions. We also have one dog, four cats, and two chickens. ...

I am a creative person living in Mumbai (Bombay) , India, I grew up in rural and urban natural lives. Making me experience working on farms, cities and learn some things on different levels of cultures, society differences, Indian deeper roots, religious, spiritual and positivity through life. So looking at life in its best or worst way, with in its various colourful shades. My passion is film making but still I am trying to develop my spiritual understanding. Sametime in support of growing world awareness of organic life or climate changes comes as a beginning of a new era. And proud to be part of it as its time to deconstruct what we constructed just in few decades. Mumbai city is the only city in the world where the Country lives in a city i.e you will find everyone from the different parts of India living in the city of Mumbai. The city also supports some ancient spiritual caves and temples. It is active in movies, art galleries and night life as well. Previously I had been bu...

We live on a semi rural farming property of 52ha overlooking the Waitemata harbour with views of Waiheke, Rangitoto and the Skytower, 30 mins south east of Auckland City. We are two minutes from the beach and there are several walks and cycling tracks nearby. We mainly farm sheep and also keep bees. You would be living as part of our family and are welcome to join in with any social events and activities, in particular fishing and boating. We have 3 adult children, and three grandchildren as well as three dogs and a cat. As a family we all enjoy meeting people from different cultures and forging connections with them and now have lifetime friends around the world. You can help us with gardening, landscaping, painting, building bee apiaries, planting natives (Autumn) and general housework and maintenance. Hello travellers! We’ve recently built a wonderfully energy efficient passive solar house, complete with off-grid solar for all our energy needs, rain water collection for all our water needs, and a worm farm waste management system for natural black and grey water processing. We’ve put a lot of work in to achieve a fossil-fuel-free, all-electric, household, with as small an environmental footprint as possible. We’re also lucky to live in a beautiful rural/coastal area near Inverloch, Victoria, approximately 1 hour 45 minutes south-east of Melbourne. We are close to some of Victoria’s most famous wildlife and wilderness attractions, including the Penguin Parade at Phillip Island, the Koala Conservation Reserve, and hiking and camping at Wilson’s Promontory (not to mention numerous local beaches and fishing spots only 10 minutes away!). With our house complete, we’re now working to progress the landscaping aspects of our project. We’d be very appreciative of a helping hand or two to ...

The accomodation is a 10'x 20' canopy tent with a plywood floor. There's high speed wifi and solar power, and it's surrounded by forest. There's a nice hexagonal composting toilet, an outdoor shower, and a shared kitchen and dining area. Looking for someone who can work independently on some tasks (gardening, painting) while I'm at my day job, and we'll work together some too (tree planting, construction projects). I work as a zipline guide and love touring people around the Island, so I'd be happy to take you on adventures on the weekends too!

Hi folks, YES, we achieved a lot since returning from a 3+ year break in Feb 2022, beautifying our wonderful property, something we could not have done on our own. We are thankful for having had great assistance from amazing volunteers over the years, enriching our lives culturally and socially while progressing our beautification projects. We are a fit & energetic older couple with the following background: - Rene, 68yo, Swiss origin, Architect / Photographer / Traveller / Retired Resort Owner & Operator / Retired Tour Operator / Retired Restaurateur / Handyman (DIY Building) / Landscaper / Gardener . - Julie, 64yo, Philippine origin, Chef / Traveller / Retired Resort Owner & Operator / Retired Tour Operator / Retired Restaurateur. Our hosting, as well as workflow, is intermediate, as such, we may have breaks in between and preferences & requirements may change. I run private English school for children aged between 10 and 19 years old in a small city in West Sumatra. My goal as the principal of the school is to provide youth from my region with the English skills required to communicate better in the modern world, and therefore provide them with better opportunities in their lives. I would like to welcome any fluent English speakers under the age of thirty to come assist my teachers in the classroom. You would help immensely by having simple conversations with the students and give them a real English speaking experience inside or outside the classroom. All the students are very welcoming and curious about my visitors and I am certain that you will have a great experience while interacting with them. You can expect answering all their curious questions, pose for pictures and be invited for lunches, snacks and dinners. Classes in my school run from 2pm to 6pm and mostly consist of two lessons/classrooms per day. I would also like to invite...

I am in the Madonie Park- It's a small experimental farm. I chose to get out of the city routine and come and live in the Madonie park surrounded by nature. the house is big enough and comfortable. I offer volunteers an independent room and a second bathroom. I have some animals: a mare, a donkey, 5 dogs, 12 goats, 10 hens, 1 cat. I need help taking care of the house, in the care of the peaceful animals, some gardening work. During the milk period I milk some goats and produce the cheese, yogurt and ricotta. Sometimes I like to cook together with my guests it's definitely a cultural exchange. Ros' languages are basic Spanish and Portuguese and very bad English. . I like to wake up early and work, animals don't like to wait. The daily tasks are carried out calmly .

I can't see the world, but the world can come see me. First and foremost, I want to thank all the helpers who came from United Kingdom-England, France, Belgium, Italy, China, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. Welcome Helpers. We are a family of 5 living in the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia. Sue is the founder of Peaceful Hollow. Her daughter Ruth moved to the Hollow later as well as her husband Tim and their 2 daughters. Our hollow is quite with no neighbors in sight. There are no city lights, and you can see every star on a clear night! Our homestead consists of three cabins, Sue's cabin, Tim & Ruth's cabin and the very small Guest Cabin. Also, there is an upstairs private guestroom with private entrance. We have a lot you can be involved in, knowledge to share, friendships to build, and opportunities for growth. Below are our routines and some projects. We would love to involve you! - Caring for our chickens, cat, dog, goats, mulefoot pigs and honeybees. Sue is a f...

Our farm has a 2000sqm glasshouse that has a variety of strawberries, chillis and peppers that are grown using organic sprays and utilising predators under the IPM programme. My place will be occupied until the middle of August 2024】 [I have been receiving many requests and can’t reply you one by one. Sorry!!] My place is not a big house as other people wrote. It’s a tiny house has 4 bedrooms. I’ve hosted some Helpers from this website and some are really nice and some are really weird. :D I sometimes might travel at work, so I want you to do house keeping and pet sitting. We are a mature aged couple working from home and are looking to find an enthusiastic couple, or single person, who can help with general garden maintenance , eg weeding, spraying blackberries and wood splitting etc. In return, we are offering a private room and own bathroom ( see in photos below) in our lovely home. Accomodation and all meals are provided. ( free wi-fi is also available). We are in a quiet and secluded bush setting, and often have kangaroos and wallabies feeding on our property, but still only 3km from the main highway and station. (Melb CBD is 1 hour via train.) It is essential that you are a dog lover! (We have 2) Our 2 Whippets are quite old now, but very friendly and lazy! This would be an excellent opportunity for anyone requiring 2 weeks of accommodation, possibly longer, to share our easy going family life style. We are DEFINITELY a NON SMOKING household, and would prefer not to cater for vegetarians only. The work involves weeding, moving mulch, splitting...

Peaceful, relaxed rain-forest property ( 5 acres) approx. 12km from Kuranda Village... a few k's west of Cairns....looking for .a small team of energetic helpers (2/3?) to help me catch up with odd jobs ...most of which are outside ones now that this endless wet season has loosened its grip on the Far North ..and the sun is finally shining after 6 months of relentless rain !!!... PERFECT weather now and time to catch up on outside jobs such as gardening, sorting my shed, mowing etc are priorities at the moment. I am looking from next Monday, 17th June for a few days ...does this suit your travel itinerary? PLEASE NOTE: My mobile is in for repair atm ...so can only receive messages via this site or landline: 07 4239 3010 or email: elainecushman8@ gmail.com ALSO: I can only host until the end of June at this stage ...cannot commit to July and August at the moment, because of potential teaching commitments in Cairns....to be confirmed. I prefer to take 2 or 3 travelers at a time ...

June season 2024 ** Wow, exploring right outside our backdoor along side the Campbell River on Vancouver Island, is a beautiful place to experience Vancouver Island`s great outdoorsthis summer!!! Although we live on a one acre town lot, our back yard is situated on a cliff over looking an accessible beautiful heritage river, with a nature park setting of ferns, douglas firs, maples and alder trees. You can often see deer, raccoons, bears and the silver backs of salmon and steelhead fish jumping in the ebb and flow of the river’s pools. We have trail access to the river below, where you can enjoy listening to the sing song of many birds, tubing down the river/swimming in the heat of the summer, and trying your hand at casting for steelhead fish. As well, our neighborhood is the access point to many scenic nature hiking/ walking and biking trails. Kia Ora, This is an Organic B&B annex residential Therapy centre for auditory brain stimulation to improve how we learn, live & listen. Background in journalism, music and eduction. No complex jobs, mainly help with the maintenance of house and gardens. I am a wwoof host as well, since 2015 in fact and still am. That organisation (www.wwoof.co.nz) is in fact my first port of call. I only recently (June 2024) got back on board with HelpX. You'd work independently, so some know-how is required especially with regards to the gardens. Work hours: flexible but generally between 4 -5 hrs daily, preferably in the morning. You either can cater for yourselves ( in case you stay in one of the studios) or have your meals provided for, whatever suits best. With regards to your accommodation: over the winter that would most likely be either in one of the studios or up at the main house. The studios have their own kitchen so in case you choose to be there you may want to do your own cooking. The...

We have not been on the farm very long and are learning as we go and we would love to share our experiences with others and learn off them as well. I’m looking for a friendly, helpful, non-smoker who can be a good friend to my son(born in 2008). I will offer you a private room if it’s available. Meals are not included but we can share when I cook. You will help me for 1-house keeping (cleaning, organizing the house, doing laundry, cooking…) 2-petsit (3 cats... feeding, cleaning cat’s litter, 1 dog... feeding, walking or playing) 3-gardening (trimming trees, weeding, cleaning my backyard and entrance) 4-being an assistant for my English conversation classes 5-farming at my dad’s in another city (he barely speaks English) You wi...

Hi everyone! If you would like us to host you, please read all our profile first and tell us which bit appeals to you, and which tasks you can help us with, (so we know you have actually read our profile and had a think about it). Available May - October. Minimum age 25. We prefer couples, but will consider singles, especially if DIY/gardening skills are involved! ABOUT US: We're a couple, in our early 60s. Healthy, active and young at heart. We've travelled all our adult lives, done loads of helpx-type placements (mainly in NZ, UK, Thailand and SA), and we've been self-employed for almost all of our working lives (teaching, music festival boutique, and Julie is still a professional horse trainer). We have eased-off now but still seem to be pretty busy. We love being active and involved, (yoga, karate, mtb, horse training, tennis, walking, running, exploring), and we love hosting on Helpx - it's a great way to keep meeting new people of different generations, keep learning new st...

The ocean photo was taken a couple of miles from my home and all other photos are of my house area or looking downwards at the river which is ...

The...

Ideally, we are hoping to find couples (LGBTQIA+are also welcome) or single people who are willing to work hard for three hours per day for five days a week as well as contributing by sometimes cooking for us all or helping me cook and always assisting in clearing plates from the table, stacking the dishwasher and wiping down the benches. We are happy to host helpers from any country are and we are willing to help you learn English. We want helpers who are self motivated, honest, willing learners. inclusive of anyone else staying with us and able to take initiative when they see something that needs doing..We would prefer people with good references and we will undertake to write a reference for all our helpers. We live on 6000 sq meter block that needs a lot of work, 10 minutes by car ...
