Hello! Welcome to our Farm!! Our farm sits on a beautiful piece of land with a variety of very sweet animals, we know we are so lucky to have what we have and decided to share our treasures with everyone. Our goal is to make a difference to the earth we live on, the people we interact with and the animals we share this planet with. We have turned our farm into a petting zoo and Airbnb. We have a variety of tasks around the farm from daily animal care to building projects and everything in between, there will always be something that suits your talents! And if you think you have none (talents) don’t worry, we will dig them out if you! We want you to come to our farm as guests wanting to help with our cause of creating a place that helps people reconnect with animals and nature. Our belief is that one small act of kindness is one step closer to creating a happier planet :-) Shane:) We are looking for help with: - Daily chores which includes feeding and watering all the animals. -...

Hello! How are you? My name is Andy and I've been hosting people for years now with Helpx and other organisations. If you are seeking a true cultural exchange, want to really improve your English to a more advanced level and you are a person with high expectations of yourself or want to be around people who also want to help you, then please read on. I appreciate spending my time with people who like me want to learn more about this strange and wonderful planet we all occupy. I get on with people who are usually self-transparent, with whom I have common interests, who care about others, and like me want to continually learn more about themselves. I have learned a lot from my time hosting people and my journey continues. I am a well-educated person who believes life is a continual learning experience. I like listening to the music of most genres, watching a good movie and watching documentaries. I am interested in matters of technology, science, environmental sustainability, climat...

Would like an energetic couple or single person to help out with gardening, and housework. We would expect about 4-5 hours help a day in return for free accommodation and meals. Large bedroom and own bathroom. We have animals so, would prefer someone who enjoyed them being around. There are many wonderful places to explore in Hawkes Bay when you are not working. Fantastic cycle ways, tramping trips into the native bush areas, beaches and wonderful wineries. Must have your own car to get around..

Hi, we have a small lifestyle sized property. The usual horse, sheep, chocks to look after as well as a few projects underway. If you're an experience horse rider we have a very green horse who needs confident riders, helpers are welcome to ride in their own time. We are planting native trees to return a hectare to native forest. As part of this we raise out own seedlings from locally collected seeds. There is always nursery tasks to be done. These may vary from collecting seeds, watering seedlings through to planting trees, dependent on the time of year. We have landscaping underway which can be physical work with the wheelbarrow. Would be great if you were interested in animals, environmental restoration or landscaping, but if your not it's not a show stopper. As we both work full time if you are happy doing the housework and generally helping out that could also work. We have a great surf break at the end of the property, fishing, diving, within 5 minutes drive. Hiking, horse ridin...

Hello friends :) We are Sadí and Jacqi, a couple from Perú and Germany. After several years of traveling, volunteering, helping out and learning in many beautiful projects & communities, we have settled down in the rainforest of Perú and are now happy to be able to receive volunteers ourselves :) About a year ago, we bought this piece of land which includes about 56 hectares, in the region of Ucayali The area has suffered a lot from deforestation by the coca leaf production and cattle industry which left the soil very depleted due to the intense use of chemicals. the forests need our support (cutting vines preventing trees from growing, opening up the water ways of the rivers that are blocked by wood, vines and much more...) to be able to recover strongly and healthily. Our vision for this place is to help the local ecosystem to recover its natural balance, establish abundant food forests, including local and foreign varieties, using natural, regenerative methods like permaculture,...

We have a small farm in South Central Idaho, 45 minutes from Sun Valley. Originally, an ornamental tree farm we soon realized that edibles are where it's at in these uncertain times. We are seeking helpers for our growing season between May and early November. We ask for 6 hours of work per day and that any volunteers be over 21 years of age. We provide a travel trailer/caravan with a double bed, kitchen, dining area, and access to our "annex" house with a full bath & washer/dryer. All food is provided either from the farm or from local sources when possible. The rural nature of our farm isn't conducive to children, and pets may be negotiable. We live in a beautiful canyon where the skies are dark enough at night to see the Milky Way and there are stars between the stars. In the Spring we grow garden bedding plants for our Farmers Markets and for planting into our gardens for produce. We specialize in Bee products including, hand-dipped beeswax candles, lotion bars & hand salves,...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. We are currently in need of help from someone with DIY skills, decorating and gardening. We would welcome, single people, a couple, or two friends. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables and fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our doorstep, hiking trails through the mountains and forests, cycling paths, and skiing in the winter months. We love company of other people, and love having visitors. There would be plenty of chances to be alone, if that is what one is looking for. We are both retired teachers that would be happy to help you improve your knowledge of English. We offer homestay experience if you would like to help us out with some tasks that we will train you to do if necessary. Hi, my name is Sylvia and I'm Dutch. After having lived for the majority of my life in cities I wanted to roam around with Helpx, so I did. However, I fell in love with the first place where I stayed, many years ago. A very small rural village in Bavaria, Germany, at the Czech border. I rented the huge house and intend to stay here, with my little dog, for the rest of my life. It’s a beautiful hilly area and the forests invite for long walks in which you may spot deer, lynxes, boars and other animals. Public transport ends in Weiden (train) or Lohma (bus), but I have a car, can pick you up and drop you off. Plenty to see within reasonable distance like Nuremberg, Regensburg, Munich, and Prague. Ski and snowboard centre at 7 km distance and lots of others a bit further away. In the holiday season, Christmas markets can be found everywhere. You will have your own room (with WIFI) and a shared bathroom, and you are welcome to the rest of the house too. I‘ll try to cook for you what yo...

If you are looking for a special place to camp while immersing yourself in a classic Aussie bush experience..., this place could be just what you seek ! The work here is mainly bushfire mitigation - this means raking up leaves, picking up sticks and placing them into piles for burning mush later when the rains come. There will also be help required to clean up my house if you agree ? To stay here you will need be 'self contained' in a car and caravan, camper van, car with roof top tent or similar..., but, I can provide some extras that will make the experience much more civilised and tolerable for you ! I have several sheltered camp sites already set up for people to move into, complete with tarp shelter, table and chairs plus water to a sink. So, If you would like a special 'Aussie bush camping' experience with a few conveniences, but very close to wonderful beaches and National Park forests..., while also not so far from all the things that towns can provide..., send me a message. ...

We spent 2020 in France and we're particularly looking for someone who can help the girls maintain their language skills and share knowledge of French culture. Failing that, I have spent a few years in Japan and would love to pass on knowledge of the language and culture to the kids as well, so a Japanese person would be second best. We're looking for someone who can pick up the kids from school four days a week and keep an eye on them till we finish work (roughly 3pm-6pm). They're nice kids and reasonably well-behaved (we can provide references from our current babysitter!). Offering accommodation and evening meals, especially if you're keen to share the cooking some nights! Our place is a fairly ordina...

You are invited to our peaceful zen den to learn and help to cultivate this land which we found to be our grocery store, our natural resources, our library and gym at the same time. We are a couple who is conscientious about nature and the surroundings we live in. In 2015, after we took a permaculture design course in the Kootenays, BC we changed our lifestyle from living in the city to living in the country side. Our focus is to be the stewards of this land, while being connected to the nature and wildlife of its surroundings. We especially love swimming in our pristine waters of the Georgian Bay. Since we moved here, some of our activities are: Gardening, growing our own food, building and enhancing the soil, composting, vermicomposting, preparing firewood for winter, building firewood sheds, planting trees, growing mushroom logs, community beekeeping at a local farm, setting up water systems to catch rainwater, establishing community gardens, bee & butterfly initiatives and using...

Place: Chrzanowo Area: 2,5 ha Number of people:1-2 Seven years ago, we moved to the countryside. We built an ecohouse from strawballs. Our homestead is: 1,4 ha of honeyberries planted in Spring 2016, 0,1 ha of mixed orchard, where we planted old species of fruit trees (apple, pear, plum and cherry trees), 0,01 ha of cranberry and a vegetable garden. We have bio-certification of our farm. In everyday work, we are supported by a dog - Golden Retriever and 2 cats that live with us. In 2023 we will need help with weeding. We have also planned to renovate the patches of haskap as well as cleaning works in the orchard and vegetable garden. In January we start building a house for chickens. And then we build a cellar for our harvest and our preserves. If you are curious and sprity, we cordially invite you. You'll be useful to us. If you understand the idea of voluntary work and are not afraid of physical work, then you are the person we are looking for! We need your help five- eight hours ...

This is an exciting opportunity to have an experience that will stay with you throughout your life. Our Foundation aims at helping rural children receive a qualitative outstanding education. We have a volunteer teaching program to assist rural teachers and children get exposure to foreign languages and cultures. Because English is the second language in Thai schools, we concentrate on improving the English language skills of both rural teachers and children. At present, we aim to help 4 public elementary schools (grades 1 - 6) close to Chiang Mai. We are currently taking applications for volunteers who would available to start in May 2024. We are looking for volunteers to teach English only and are available to stay at least eight weeks. We would love to have candidates who will stay for a whole semester or even a year, if possible. Couples are welcome as well. NOTE: We do not charge volunteers any fees for staying with us. The generous gift of your time and dedication is all the...

My friend bought this beautiful old farm in Bjarnarfjordur witch is in the west fjords of Iceland And the westfjords were selected as top destination in the world by Lonely Planet for 2022 No one has lived there for the last 20 years so there’s plenty of things to do Mainly it’s taking care of the eiderducks (put up flags and scarecrows to keep the artic fox and seagulls away from the area) The eider nests on small islands close to the farm so we will need to take a boat or a kayak and row to the islands After the nesting season we pick up the down that they left in the nest And another thing is feeding the rainbow trout that we will be farming in tanks on land Also we have to paint and fix the old house We have our own geothermal hole that produces lots of hot water Even though it’s seems remote it’s only 35km to the next town Hòlmavík where there’s a supermarket, bank and basically everything you need From June to October we are doing whale watching trips from Hólmavík and mo...

Nestled in the coastal range of Mendocino County, California (about 45 minutes west of Ukiah) we are establishing a small farm and wildlife sanctuary.  Based on principles of sustainability & permaculture our expanding ridge top garden and orchards consist of a variety of fruits, veggies, herbs and flowers.  Aside from garden and orchard tasks additional projects may include gathering seaweed and other native wild foods, cooking, canning, fermenting foods, making herbal preparations, habitat restoration, brush and trail clearing, small scale green building and learning how to build and maintain an off-grid infrastructure and solar system. Our homestead is remote.  We are currently looking for physically fit self-starters who are open minded, love to be outdoors, want to unplug and would enjoy the serenity of a mountain forest.  We require a 1 month minimum stay.  If you have ever thought you might like to homestead or purchase raw land then our farm would be a good place to visit.  We...

We have available dates from 11 March onwards. We have found that stays of around 3 or 4 weeks work best . This gives you time to settle in, become familiar with the routine and the local area and be able to relax in one place. If you love dogs, the countryside and quiet family life we are the place to visit. We are close to Cambridge but as the last bus is at 7.15 pm not easily accessible if you want a wild nightlife. We offer a comfortable room and good food in exchange for the congenial company of reliable, cheerful dog-lovers who are willing to undertake a range of tasks such as gardening, cleaning etc Our 2 daughters after time spent travelling (and Helpxing) are now both living in London (one of them recently returned from a year studying in Japan) so our household usually consists of two people and various dogs. I often have dogs to stay, so you need to be relaxed and happy around dogs.We go for long walks with the dogs every day so there are plenty of opportunities ...

I'm Thanasis, a 55 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

Autonomy for everyone, especially for you and us at mealtime ... Resources are shared according to the availability of the moment. More possibilities if my children are not there, less if I have other guests ... fortuitous ... In the meantime we have no shortage of space in the garden to let you plant your tent or you lend a space... This is the minimum we can guarantee. A cabin is also available on the family sailboat ... Here too, there is work ... The room with double bed of the house is not often free for our helper sometimes the chance does things well, ask what you want, we are in French Polynesia climate is stable all year ;-) We will not ask for more than 2 or 3 hours of help a day in exchange we plan to lodge without food, although fruits from the garden are still part of the tradition of sharing the house... It's up to you to do your shopping and your dish washing and cleaning up after, the load will be in our situation not equitable otherwise.

We are the best of friends who live together and run a 24-hour restaurant in Oneonta, New York. We built our Deli with our own hands, using old rustic barn wood and other recycled materials. We love working together to serve good, wholesome food in a warm, encouraging environment — a haven from the storms of life. Our community is part of a worldwide network of communities, many of which also run restaurants, organic farms, and cottage industries where volunteers are also welcome to live and work with us. We all work together in our houses and at our Deli. There is a lot to do in maintaining a community. We have two large houses where we live and the Deli always needs constant care and attention. We enjoy having guests and volunteers who want to get to know us by living and working with us. We gather together every morning (at 7am) and evening (at 6pm) to express whatever is on our hearts. We sing a wide variety of songs we've written and we dance there to express our joy. We give...

We are a pretty colourful bunch of nice people composed of an austrian and a middle east family and long standing international friends. Actually living here permanently: Feri (1982), Lise (1975) and Mia (1942). The children Layla (2013) and Aisha (2015) are coming regularly to see us. We also have a lot of different visitors here from all over the world. We live here in Lower Austria at the beginning of the alps in one of the beautiful natural spring water protection areas of the city of Vienna. (100 km south of the city - by train within 1 hour). Its the last small village before the Höllental (hell canion) at the foot of the mountain Rax near the river Schwarza. We are on a hill, hidden behind ancient giant coniferous trees. The farm was built over 150 years ago as a guest house, then used as a simple farmhouse and then converted in the style of a century-turnvilla. From the original stable became another residential house. The old house is still very original (as 100 years ago) an...

We are an in conversion-organic mixed farm producing meat and vegetables, at the foot of the Pentland Hills on the outskirts of the buzzing city of Edinburgh. The founding ethos is rooted in the reinvigoration of forgotten rural knowledge and driven by a necessity to endorse sustainable and progressive farming methods. Volunteers will have the opportunity to help out in the market garden team, from sowing to harvesting as well as processing and packing vegboxes, and learn all about regenerative agricultural techniques along the way. The vegetable garden is growing quickly over the next year, with fresh produce being delivered weekly to our 100+ Veg Club members across Edinburgh and wholesaling across Scotland. Our herds consist of 600 rare breed pigs, cows and sheep that graze regeneratively on cover crops. Organic methods: Our 5 acre market garden was established in 2020 using the no-dig, raised bed method. We have over 150 beds and 2 polytunnels and are making plans to produce flowe...

We can lend you a bicycle to do your own exploring, you can hike, take a bus or tra...

So, If you would like a special 'Aussie bush camping' experience with a few conveniences, but very close to wonderful beaches and National Park forests..., while also not so far from all the things that towns can provide..., send me a message. ...

April/May farm sitter hosting, (as i take a few days, break) , other time periods, i prefer one helper to have riding experience to exercise my horse with my teaching, in my arena, not out on narrow roads, where farmers ride quad bikes at a dangerous speed!! * Full up till April. Happy to hear from anyone coming through Wellington from mid-April onwards, and ideally looking to stay for at least one month. Thanks! * We're a Kiwi family of four (an economist/researcher, a social worker/therapist and two primary school aged children).
