We.previously lived in Boreen Point on the Sunshine Coast where we hosted many helpers through helpx with amazing reviews over a period of 17years.. Most never wanted to leave. We have now moved and bought an equally stunning property in Far North Queensland in a small country town (Cardwell) on 3 acres 10 minutes from beach. We are located between Cairns and Townsville and just south of Mission Beach. Terry and I are not as young as we used to be and are struggling with maintaining the property. We need help for 4hours a day, with weeding, mulching, pruning and watering the gardens and general house cleaning. We back onto tropical rainforest and creek. Help around the inside of property would also be helpful. You will have your own bedroom and own bathroom (1 queen for couples and 2 queens for singles). The fridge will be stocked for you to prepare your own breakfast and lunch and we all sit together for evening meals which I will prepare. There are many stunning waterfalls and walk...

Welcome to our peaceful goat farm and homestead in the beautiful Central Coast of California! We're a semi-retired couple with 20+ years of experience living off the land. Our 6-acre farm is home to dairy goats, sheep, chickens, ducks, turkeys, bees, and gardens. We do everything from milking goats and making cheese to processing lamb and poultry, fermenting vegetables, baking sourdough, and even teaching quilting and rug weaving. We host ONE helper at a time to provide a personal and immersive experience. You’ll stay in a cozy, private trailer next to the house and share the guest bathroom. We cook and eat three healthy, mostly organic meals together every day using food we raise or organically source. Our lifestyle is omnivorous, mostly gluten free and we do not host vegans, vegetarians, or dairy-free guests—you’d miss out on too much! We ask for help with daily chores like milking, feeding, cleaning pens, gardening, and kitchen work. Afternoons are usually free, and in your downtim...

I have a property on the edge of Havelock North in Hawkes Bay.I need help in the gardens and around the property..Helpers have their own very comfortable and self contained accommodation .They are welcome to use the swimming pool and tennis court. The work is varied and not too strenuous. In the past some of my helpers have done their chores while also working in paid employment and I am flexible to manage these situations. My helpers all seem to love the food we eat- I’m a hunter gatherer and we eat lots of food like fish and home grown vegetables.. Couples are welcome. The property is within walking distance of the Havelock North village. Bikes are available for use by helpers.Havelock North is a vibrant town in one of New Zealand’s most attractive and liveable provinces. Now that spring has well and truly arrived there is a lot to do around my property..My helpers only need to help me for 4 hours a day- in return you’ll get free lodgings in a comfortable room with an en suite , grea...

The accomodation is a 8' x 12' studio with a small covered front porch. There's high speed wifi and solar power, and it's surrounded by forest. There's a nice hexagonal composting toilet, an outdoor shower, and a shared kitchen and dining area. Looking for someone who can work independently on some tasks (gardening, painting) while I'm at my day job, and we'll work together some too (tree planting, construction projects). I work as a zipline guide and love touring people around the Island, so I'd be happy to take you on adventures on the weekends too!

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) , please don't come if you have a heavy cold or flu, I'm involved with the elderly. Cheers Al

Hello travellers, and a warm welcome to beautiful Olinda - I am Vita and delighted to host you. **Currently seeking Helper/s who can work in the garden or use a chainsaw to cut fire wood. Or a carpenter who can help repair weather damaged external timber windows. Or someone with mechanical experience to service chainsaw and lawn mowers. Or a Helper with sewing skills and can use a sewing machine. Or a helper who can restore and refinish furniture. I appreciate self-starters and Helpers with initiative, who do not always need to be told what to do and are capable of putting in a full days work. Weeding and garden work is always a go-to if you are waiting instructions. Helpers will sometimes be left to work by themselves as I don’t always have time to supervise them. Ben and I (Polly) live in the beautiful northern beaches suburb of Kewarra Beach, located a 25 minute drive north from the centre of Cairns, Far North Queensland. We live on a standard suburban block in a four bedroom, 2 bathroom simple home. We love our garden and specifically growing tropical fruits and vegetables - there is always something to pick and eat! We have bantam chickens who roam the yard by day. We are in our late 30s, are both full time workers, working from home, Monday to Friday. We travel a little for work so will need to work around those dates. We are after 1-2 helpxers at a time, ideally for a 1-2 week stay, to help us with our garden, painting the outside of our house (depending on your experience, the weather) and other general house items. On the weekends when we are not working we will be working along side you too. As it is hot we find working earlier in the morning or later in the day best for the outside jobs. We operate a small husband and wife online plant nursery and in our free time we enjoy taking a wwoofer or 2 out on regular boating trips catching barramundi and reef fish, crocodile spotting, fishing and exploring the islands, snorkeling around the Great Barrier Reef and Whale and Dolphin spotting, ... so we would prefer folks that have an interest in boating/fishing and happy to tie their own fishing knots and set the anchor and dont get sea-sick....The more enthusiastic you are to help preparing the boats and cleaning up after the trips the more enthusiastic we are to take you out.... and the boating when the weather suits is a reward for your hard work in helping us out....we prefer to host people for 2 weeks or longer and this will give the best chance of getting the full experience as well as making a meaningful contribution to our lives and property.. From mid- September we would particularly love to host one or 2 people to help out around the garden, plant nursery and farm/or...

This beautiful, 2.5 hectare garden, set in the heart of Haute-Normandie Pays de Caux near the English Channel and whose light inspired the Impressionist movement, which can be loosely translated as an Arthouse garden. This is not a run of the mill HelpX destination. There is a real opportunity to learn and have a totally unique experience while staying in the 17th century Priory in the centre of the garden. Cécile, the gardening artist or artistic gardener (she conforms to both), welcomes you to join her in this artistic gardening adventure. Previous experience of gardening and some basic French are welcome but not essential as Cecile can get by in English, Spanish and German and will teach you all you need to know; the work, of course, changes with the seasons and can be a variety of brute force and delicate sensitivity but never forgetting that this is an artistic adventure and is open to the public. Help Xers are invited to food and accommodation in return for an average of 5/6 ho...

We are on an 70 acre farm in North Pope County, Illinois and are virtually surrounded by the Shawnee National Forest. Having been on this farm for 13 years, we are still developing infrastructure and are continuing to plant in the orchard and various berries as well as establishing and expanding garden and crop areas. We are a GMO, herbicide and pesticide free farm in all of our outdoor areas. As we are far away from "modern agricultural" property, we feel that we should have no problems with cross pollination of our crops with GMO's or damage/exposure from/to ag chemicals. There are many projects currently in process or in the planning stages. This summer/fall we hope to get new water and electric lines ran to all the barns and the greenhouse as well as get a fiber studio framed in and get the finishing touches on the greenhouses. Tasks on the farm are endless, so there are always things to do year round. Clearing brush, cutting wood, building fence, baling hay, sawing lumber, ...

We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week. Kia ora If you'd like to work amongst trees and flowers, stay in a lovely cabin with stunning view and private verandah, swim in a pool and eat home-cooked meals, you might like a week's stay at Apata Gardens. We have a small flower farm in the Bay of Plenty, halfway between Tauranga and Katikati, about 2 hours from Auckland. The flower farm is set amongst the trees of our two-acre property, which has spectacular views out to sea and across to the Kaimai ranges. My husband has a small olive grove, we have a wide range of fruit trees and grow seasonal vegetables. Our guest cottage (please see the attached photos) has a bedroom, bathroom and private verandah, and we will provide all your meals. If you have some gardening, horticulture, landscaping or similar experience, or would like to learn, we'd love you to come and stay with us. Looking for those who appreciate 4hrs of daily work alongside us as a fair exchange for wholesome meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner provided + seasonal fruit), your own private space, satellite Wi-fi and access to beautiful, private, natural surroundings with lots of native wildlife like wallabies and pademelons. In your free time, volunteers can go swimming, enjoy many of the hikes on and around our property (plus we adjoin 8,000ha/20,000ac of National Park) and meet/spend time with our animals, read , meditate, do yoga/fitness, satellite wifi, bird watching, platypus watching...etc. We have a lot of info on our page, mainly so we get the right people applying to volunteer here. The work is usually physical (ie no cute animal feeding - that`s in your free time if you express an interest to Claire), but we offer a very fair exchange for those motivated to contribute their 4hrs of daily work. You don`t need prior experience, but must be willing to help out. We don`t want surprises...

Very comfortable homestead on a family farm. Most of the farm is leased out for grazing, but 17 hectares remain of citrus orchard, NZ native bush and farm buildings. Larry has farmed here all his life. Brenda is a retired nurse, currently managing our small assorted variety orchard. We would like help with; picking citrus fruit, landscaping & gardening, maybe housework. Beautiful surroundings & friendly hosts! If you could give us four hours physical work a day, we will make your stay a happy one. We would prefer strong young people who enjoy outdoor work. We especially need helpers in October and November. Thanks

Hi, Its spring! We have a few lambs coming. One is already here. It’s gardening time! We need help. And we’re looking forward to meet you. We’re in rural North Canterbury, only 30 mins drive from. We’re on a 10 acre minifarm with a few sheep and young cattle and a large organic vegetable garden which we eat from every day. By car we're about 7 minutes drive to the sea, an hour to Hanmer Springs, 20 minutes from the Waipara Valley vineyard area. We have bicycles you can borrow to explore locally, and if you like hiking up hills there are a few nice tracks in close driving distance. In fact, I like hiking too, so I can maybe be your guide if I'm not otherwise busy. Accommodation is in a comfortable sleepout (queen bed) and you would use the bathroom in the house and share meals with us. You would be helping me in the garden mostly, but also I usually like some help with housework. If you like cooking I have a nice kitchen for it. We would like about 4 hours work per day for food...

It is our mission to provide visitors from all over the world with an authentic experience of the unique atmosphere and culture of our home in Canada’s far North. As a well-established tourism company, we are diversifying our impacts and create a more resilient business. Doing this is not only fulfilling our long-term mission of developing a self-sustaining Arctic Eco-Village, but also investigating innovative solutions to major obstacles facing communities in the North: food and housing insecurity, decolonizing our economy, capacity development and cultural revitalization. Sustainable farming is not the only focus we have here, but we are continuously developing ideas and trying new farming methods. We are happy to find people from all over the world who are as motivated as we are to make living in the Arctic more sustainable. Organic methods: In the summer time, when we enjoy 24 hour sunshine, we grow our plants in greenhouses without the use of any chemical/artificial fertilizers....

We are building a little village to inspire & encourage people - so groups can come together, get visionary - DESiGN life from here…. A few years ago the place was just an empty paddock, but now it has a bunch of small buildings, spaces for people to gather & connect. We are developing areas to create great ideas which might transform the world in some positive ways! The problem is that nothing we have developed is truly finished, everything needs something; a lick of paint, spouting, plants crave care, or marketing. Spaces need your attention & love to make them ready to share with the world. We want to have guests; groups coming in to stay. We are reaching out to ask for you to join our vision & make this place shine. You could help us manage our hundreds of native New Zealand plants, finish a building with powers tools, promote what we are offering, or you could express your creativity through engineered solutions. You could simply clean up to make an area ready to live its purpo...

The tiny house is very basic. Outside toilet and shower. Queen bed up in mezzanine. Lovely quiet countryside, 20 minutes drive from town (kerikeri -nearest shops). Our water is rainwater only, so we need to be a little cautious with use, in the summer. Jobs consist of compost making, mulching, weedeating, pruning, and general help with maintenance. My husband has Parkinson's and is no longer quite as able as he used to be on the block. Wifi is a bit sporadic at the tiny house, but really good at our house. We have 2 horses (only one currently ridden, as the other is too green), chooks, 2 alpacas, a cat., fruit trees, gardens, a bush block and paddocks. We would prefer people with a good command of the English language

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina.

Cheers Al

Daily tasks vary but can include paddock grooming, brushing the donkeys and horses, walking pony’s and donkeys for extra exercise, helping out with feeding the goats and pigs, and some cleaning. At our farm plant nursery, we always need volunteers helping out with potting up seedlings, weeding, and planting. So if plants are your passion you can spend your time helping out at the Nursery We offer free accommodation for 4 hours of morning work daily, 5 out of 7 days. We provide a bedroom with either two sin...

We are happy to find people from all over the world who are as motivated as we are to make living in the Arctic more sustainable.
