Someone moved in for six months. If youre interested in November please reach out in Oct, thanks. I would love someone to spend time with my two little very social indoor bunnies while I work on the property. Would also love much needed help in the gardens. I am currently building a greenhouse and could teach building skills. Accommodations include a small antique cape with a wood stove. Many acres of forests behind the house offer endless time in nature. Most nights owls and or frogs will serenade you to sleep. Two miles away best coffee shop around. One mile away great café. Boston is an hour away as are beaches.

Kia ora, travellers! Haere mai - welcome to my whare (home) in beautiful Honeymoon Valley, surrounded by native rainforest, birds and insects. We built this eco-earth house using local clay from right under our feet. This land used to be just grass, but after 30 years of caring for this whenua, it now has mature trees, orchards, and organic gardens. Life here is peaceful and quiet, perfect for enjoying nature I am part of the local landcare group, helping protect our native forest, birds, lizards, and insects. We trap predators and remove invasive weeds. You could help with organic/permaculture gardening: vegetables, flowers, herbs, fruit trees, chickens, mowing, brush-cutting, compost-making, maintenance and fixing things (basic carpentry, painting), sewing, cleaning, chopping firewood. I bake bread. I make apple cider vinegar, bottle fruit, jam, chutney, sauerkraut, and collect seeds. The current to-do list includes building a structure in front of two doors to keep the rain out, mo...

Our Ecovillage (established1999) is looking towards a creative and fun season of committed volunteers who wish to work within a collective project opportunity. We are working on the next 25yr Vision and with this are building a very large public art installation project (earthen/cob Dragon sculpture with lots of mosaic work!). Our 'regenerative living learning journey' forms the platform for the efforts we put towards making a difference in the world. We work within intercultural/intergenerational/interfaith/inter-nation restorative justice framework on our farm and work with research teams on soil/wastewater/energy systems design/etc, and permaculture education projects with learners from local to global! This means we are working with: the gardens, livestock/poultry, food forests, natural building (earthen, strawbale, plaster projects, finishing work, carpentry, etc), food preservation, yummy kitchen crafting for shared meals, mosaic and mural artwork, supporting Eco-tourism &...

Kia Ora. I run an Angora goat farm just outside Oxford in North Canterbury. I have 180 very cute goats which I shear for fibre twice per year. I also farm sheep and cattle. I farm in a sustainable way and have been trialling some regenerative agricultural practices. I am looking for helpers from the middle or late July 2026. Jobs include farm work, gardening, housekeeping, servicing and cleaning my AirBnB and learning about our farming systems. You would have your own room and receive all your food in return for 4-5 hours work per day. Those are the typical Helpx conditions. There are usually other Helpxers at the farm and we work, eat and live as a family , sharing housework and cooking tasks. I look forward to welcoming you to the farm!

Hi! Please read before applying, as we need specific skills, or at least the willingness to do the jobs! We will ask you how you think you may be able to help when you apply, so please read below! We are now in summer and there is plenty of Hot weather, and we have plenty to do here. At the moment, we have space for someone that can help with collecting and stack wood from the forest, plus general garden tidy up. Any other skills would be useful, the work is on steep terraces! If you have building, landscaping or even mechanical skills, we would love to hear from you. There is a possibility for a longer stay - for the right person! The work is varied, but can be heavy at times as we do a lot of wood cutting (in the spring) and wood processing and stacking (in the summer) and the land is pretty steep. This would suit someone very active and loves being outside, must be a self starter and get on with jobs on their own! Any of these skills would be useful: 1. Easy going and sens...

update.... June 2026 This time of year we have lots going on. Farming get busy so we are always looking for people to help out and slot in where needed. At times the pace is quick, the timing less than ideal and its a muck in and get it done attitude. But for hardwork we promise lots of rewards, great food, awesome banter and positive vibes. Minimum stay 10 days. Own transport is neccessary. ABOUT US...... We are a young family of five Jono (Dad), Ella (Mum), Lachlan (11) Patrick (9) & Lucy (6). We live on a 190 hectare beef farm 1 hours drive from Gisborne city. Farming for us is a passion not a chore and love getting out and about tending to our animals with our hands in the soil. We would say we're 100% living the rural kiwi dream! We rear spring calves, breed pigs, and fatten sheep beef animals for our own consumption as well as to sell as income. We also have lots of working and hunting dogs, two house cows, far too many chickens to count, some freerange ducks, a cat and...

We have an automotive country workshop where we fix and service cars, 4WDs, trailers, tractors and all sorts of machinery. In our spare time we look after our little farm, some sheep, some cattle and rabbits. We also have a forest where we work and tidy up occasionally. So we are always in need of a couple of helpful hands to support us. We love to get to know different cultures and people. We grow our own meat, fruit and vegetables. Gustav also brews his own beer and makes wine and cider and lately also green tea. A mature, non-smoking, self-organized person, preferable not a vegetarian, to give us a hand with house and land, would fit best into our lifestyle. You will have to join into our daily routines: breakfast is at around 7am and then we feed all the animals, especially the hungry dogs and work starts at 8am. We need to get everyone organized before customers arrive in the workshop. We expect about 4 hours work per day and we offer a nice room with a lovely warm bed, gr...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. PLEASE NOTE WELL: we absolutely cannot host anyone with any pre-existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions), such as hay fever, any other allergies, sensitivities or intolerances. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Hello, I am looking for some help with gardening and house maintenance, preferably someone with a bit of gardening know-how to help control (in a wild way) a medium size garden Also help with dog walking and possibly pet sitting for short periods. Bit of strimming and mowing, and some weeding. Renovation of window frames and painting when weather allows. Trying to grow veg as much as possible, but not easy up here.(lots of rabbits and deer) Indoors --- well could do with a bit of organizing! Also some help with the bigger cleaning jobs, like the vast windows! I am living in the middle of Dartmoor National Park which is a great place for walking and scenery, and one of the last remaining wilderness areas in England. Person with organisational skills and sense of humour and who loves the great outdoors and the quiet would be ideal. One lovely dog and cat in the house, and the occasional guest. Please note, due to financial constraints I cannot accommodate long term helpers

We are Anna, Jesus and Juniper (our 8 year old daughter) and we have taken on a house and piece of land in the wild and beautiful Garafia region of the stunning island of La Palma in the Canaries. La Palma is one of the least touristy islands and Garafia is a remote spot, well off the beaten track, but it has quite a big 'alternative' international community, so there are plenty of opportunities to socialise with like-minded people. Anna's background is in organic food production, with 20 years experience, and Jesus is a carpenter, timber framer, cabinet maker green woodworker and permaculture designer, with extensive knowledge of building homes and funky spaces. We are in the process of bringing the land into organic food production, it already has terraces which were used to grow food, but they have been left untouched for around 50 years so there is a lot of clearing to do! There are sweet chestnuts, walnuts, figs, almonds, huge amounts of prickly pear, and some plums, quince and p...

MOST URGENT NEEDS: -Someone who KNOWS land, soil, water as we are looking to acquire land in California to get things started! -Organizing many old things in the house we are in in San Francisco If you are a traveller, musician, community-orientated...this could also be a great place for you I am a chef and musician, that's been traveling pretty much non-stop since I started....After 15 years of traveling, living in many refugee projects, squats, intentional communities, collectives, cooking for many community kitchens, staying in many farms and seeing what it is possible in this world....I have seen many things I have loved and many things that didn't quite work in my opinion...now I have a unique opportunity to start a community based on learning, sharing and helping each other (especially those that may not normally have access to such a privileged life-style) grow and learn through workshops and communal happenings. Right now I am in the extreme beginnings. I am looking for lan...

We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week. Our preference is for a single person or couple who have some skil...

Nestled in the peaceful, rolling hills of Galway, our little family-run farm is home to Scott, sister Katie, and brother Stephen. We breed a small, but very special group of sport horses who, to be honest, are mostly treated like pets! Our horses are part of the family, and we enjoy their company as much as we do the thrill of traditional fox hunting on horseback with hounds. Most days, you’ll find us leisurely hacking out on quiet country roads, enjoying the beauty of the countryside. The farm also features our big, cozy house, our lovely dog Susie, and a variety of land and DIY projects that mix things up a bit from time to time. We mainly need help with our pastime which is horses with cleaning stables, grooming and riding if your able. We're not a business it's simple our pass time. We're a laid-back, easy-going crew who love meeting new people and sharing our way of life. Over the years, we’ve hosted more than 15 helpers from around the world, and we can’t wait to welcome more ...

We have availability to help Marcus with his native tree propagation onsite for one week from 14-21st August. Looking for those who appreciate 4hrs of daily work alongside us as a fair exchange for wholesome meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner provided + seasonal fruit), your own private space, satellite Wi-fi and access to beautiful, private, natural surroundings with lots of native wildlife like wallabies and pademelons. In your free time, volunteers can go swimming, enjoy many of the hikes on and around our property (plus we adjoin 8,000ha/20,000ac of National Park) and meet/spend time with our animals, read , meditate, do yoga/fitness, satellite wifi, bird watching, platypus watching...etc. We have a lot of info on our page, mainly so we get the right people applying to volunteer here. The work is usually physical (ie no cute animal feeding - that`s in your free time if you express an interest to Claire), but we offer a very fair exchange for those motivated to contribute their...

Sorry folks, but we are now fully booked until the beginning of September 2026. There may be a cancellation, but these are very rare, but if you are in the area, reach out, we love to chat :) As well as the normal homesteading tasks, if you want to learn about wine making, bee keeping, self defense, jewellery making, or help Tony with his self defense book and video courses, we could be a great match. Have a think, take a look at our reviews and if you are interested, drop us a line, *** Our beautiful countryside homestead (only 5 acres so not really a farm) is in the mountainous hills above the historic castle town of Caccamo, Sicily. It is surrounded scraggy mountains and long valley walks. It is perfect for hiking or just relaxing in the sun with a good book. Within easy traveling distance for those interested in exploring this culturally rich island, is the seaside town of Cefalù or even the main capital city of Palermo, both are easily accessible by bus and train from the lo...

Would you like to spend a couple of weeks in beautiful Ireland in a small village on the Wicklow/Kildare border. Surrounded by heritage and with easy access to motorways for any sightseeing you wish to do. We have an 1800's corn mill we are restoring. We are looking for some summer help on the garden. You would have your own accommodation in a large motorhome and we would just ask for 3hrs help a day on garden work. We are trying to restore native hedgerows as well a keeping the summer growth under control! We are a couple with a young boy. There is parking available if you have a car and the village is serviced by a local bus which travels regularly between Naas and Carlow. There is a small cafe and pub in the village. The motorhome has its own gate access so privacy is assured.

We are beekeepers in a small village near Bayonne, in the south west of France. We live in an old typical farm of the area with animals (one dog, two cats, chickens and millions of bees). We have near to 150 hundred hives which produce different honeys (heather, chestnut, acacia,...). For that we`re moving it in different areas. We are also making some pastry with our honey and we are selling the production on the local shops. We are also gardening, cooking and doing some DIY works at farm. We would please to welcome to you.

Hello! I am looking for enthusiastic helpers for a week of outdoor work. The tasks could include building, gardening, permaculture, lawn mowing, and firewood, depending on your skill level and eagerness to learn. I have a sleepout available with a queen bed and two single beds that will suit either a couple or friends as long as they dont mind sharing a room. It’s important that you can understand English well for your safety. At the moment, I have several animals on the property: 9 cows of mixed ages, sheep, laying chickens (chooks), 2 friendly large dogs, 1 cat, and 5 turtles. Our animals live a stress-free life and are not afraid of people. If you feel nervous around animals, I will likely keep you away from them until you feel comfortable. Please do not take offense; these animals are a part of our home, and I am sure you will still enjoy your time with us. Here are some tasks we would appreciate help with: carpentry/handyman work, painting, gardening, and farm maintenance. We ...

Purpose – to steward land and livestock responsibly while sharing practical skills, meaningful work, and the rhythm of authentic Texas ranch life. ⸻ 🌿 About Me Howdy — I’m Adele, and I run a 25-acre working ranch in Central Texas, just across the road from the Colorado River. The land is gently rolling and hilly with dry creeks, pasture, and a pond. After retiring from public service (public safety and U.S. Marine Corps) I chose a life centered around land stewardship, livestock, and building with my hands. Last year I spent two months volunteering on farms in Scotland, Ireland, Italy, and France. I wanted to understand the volunteer experience firsthand — what feels fair, what feels supportive, and what makes the exchange meaningful. I worked hard, observed carefully, and now aim to offer that same level of clarity and respect here. I manage: • 36 Nigerian Dwarf goats • 35 chickens (hens and roosters) • 9 ducks • 2 cows with calves • 4 working ranch dogs • 2 barn cats A...

Hobbits are "little people" with big hearts and big bare feet firmly connected with mother earth. They habitually live "under the radar" of some PC embellished society and try all their best to not succumb to the madness of it. Claiming their birth right to nature's abundance, love, beauty and endless creativity they naturally make up to and make do with the lack of gold caused by the greedy child-eating dragon behind the bare stone mountains.. Hi, my name is Marianne. I live on a classic New Zealand all-day sunny "tree quarter acre of hobbit shire" looking down to Oamaru. If you arrive early enough at my kitchen window or even up on the jungle hill behind the cottage, you can see the sea and watch the sunrise. A 10 minute stroll down Eden Street gets you either to the CBD or to the shoreline. I am providing three basic meals per day as well as a comfortable and quiet room for your stay and to relax after our daily four hours of working together "out there", somewhere on some befitt...

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

Hi there everyone, I am Mark and we are looking for people to help with our on-going farm project (based on a permaculture ideas): Working on our water system, in the fields and garden, fruit trees, looking after the sheep, ducks and chickens, our on going alternative energy source, and now just starting on the communal and private spaces that are to be rebuilt. etc...... We also work at local events with lights, electrics, compost toilet rentals and generally helping out, from the local may-poll dance to concerts and working in the theatre. The Key Word the Discribes the Farm is "Autonomy" (i feel that autonomous people can come together to create community) We are all individual cells in a greater growing expanding living organism called humanity, that is slowly coming to recognise itself as a whole and no longer separate and alone. Please note: for high maintenance people this is not for you. Be prepared for OFF-GRID in nature experience ! A Quick Note: The shower ...

We live on a 5-hectare avocado orchard in the beautiful Bay of Plenty, 5 minutes from Waihi Beach. We have a sleepout located next to a tennis court, featuring one double bed, a shower, and a toilet. We also have free Wifi for guests. We have surfboards, and Waihi Beach is less than 5 km away. We prefer people who are not vegetarian or vegan. We have a couple of cows. Tauranga is a 40-minute drive south, and Auckland is 1 hour and 30 mins. north. We are Sunny from China and Jeff from New York and we live in a small town in Oklahoma called Olustee of about 500 people. Nearby is a city called Altus of 19,000 people with stores, bars, restaurants and entertainment. You are invited to our place, either just to visit or to stay and help out. We have 4 bedrooms for travelers and helpers in our guest house available for you (can accommodate probably up to 10 people) and there is also a game room, swimming pool (in the summer) and basketball court on the property. We are a busy family with a small lifestyle block just 10 minutes outside Tauranga. We have a menagerie of farm animals and pets plus vegetable gardens and a small fruit salad orchard. We raise our own (friendly) lambs and pigs and do some home processing into hams, bacon etc. We have a clean and very comfortable 60m2 accommodation separate from the main house with 2 bedrooms (one double and two single beds), a bathroom/shower, a large living area, a nice little kitchen, and wifi. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our do...

Start or finish your New Zealand adventure with us. AVAILABLE: 5 July 2026 We have the perfect location for you, whether you've just arrived and would rather prepare for your trip of a lifetime away from the city hostels and practice your english with locals or are about to leave and need to sell your vehicle.
