Hei ! Here is Ingunn and Mathieu. We are a Norwegian-French couple and since mai 2021 a happy family of three. Our family house "Karnes Gaard" is a farm since the 16th century. In 1912, Ingunn's grand father gave part of the land for the Tromsø county to build "Solhov", prestigious boarding school and largest wooden building north of Trondheim. When Ingunn took over the farm in 2009, running it organically felt something obvious. And when Solhov was for sale the next year, a dream became possible : sharing our love for the Lyngen Alps by hosting guests who seek breathtaking surroundings, healthy stay and organic local food, peaceful lifestyle and carbon-free activities. Our dream is to serve as much as possible our organic and local products to these guests. Originally we grow potatoes and strawberries. We are trying several small scale production to see what is possible to grow here up north. At the moment, we are focusing in : - increasing our honeybees park, hives and flowers -...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. Please note, we cannot host anyone with any pre existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions). We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our doorstep, hiking trails through the mountains and forests, cycling paths, and skiing in the...

As an Hare Krsna spiritual community dedicated to Bhakti-yoga, we follow the teachings of Srila Prabhupada, the founding spiritual master of ISKCON, aiming to cultivate love for God, inner peace and high thinking. Our estate is home to hundreds of olive trees, providing not only nourishment but also the chance to reconnect with nature through our annual olive harvest. The surrounding landscape, among the most beautiful in Italy, offers a serene environment for meditation and reflection. What truly defines this place, is the importance we place on community. Residents and visitors come together to share in daily spiritual practices, yoga retreats, and collective service. It is through this spirit of collaboration and mutual support that we grow together—spiritually, mentally, and emotionally. Our community al...

WE ARE CURRENTLY RESTRUCTURING THE ALLOTMENT AND NEED HELP WITH LIFTING AND MOVING PAVING We've been part of Helpx for several years now and have met some wonderful people, many of whom we still keep in touch with. We live in York, in the north of England, where we have a garden and (a 10 minute walk away) an allotment where we grow fruit and vegetables. We try to cultivate using the `no-dig` method and like to re-use and recycle wherever possible. Our house has solar panels on the roof for hot water and electricity, as we are keen to reduce our impact on the environment. The work includes turning and spreading compost, making new beds and paths, weeding, seed sowing, planting out, grass cutting and fence painting. From early summer, fruit and vegetables are ready to be harvested and prepared for freezing and conserving. If the weather is bad then there are always jobs to get on with in the house, garage and greenhouse. We can offer all meals, laundry and accommodation, (own ba...

Our farm is in the mountains of Lares, a rural region in the center of the Caribbean Island of Puerto Rico. A town well known for the rebellion insurgency called "El Grito de Lares", also well known for the coffee plantations and the culinary festivities. Lares has great rivers, beautiful sceneries and nice climate. In this great countryside we manage an agricultural, educational and community project, Proyecto Agroecológico Campesino/PAC. Our mission has been to produce food in a sustainable way, facilitate a practical learning farm for students and share knowledge with the community. For this we work in the transformation of two acres, in an integral farm where combines crop production, animal husbandry, resource management, restoration of soil and ecosystems, inspired by the agroecological principles. We invite you to join us on our every day activities to build a sustainable farm and to share knowledge and experiences. The accommodation includes a private room with kitchen, bat...

You will like it here! In February we need help in our garden with shredding and sawing branches, stacking wood and so on. We are a little unconventional community of 4 persons (66,65,71,74), 1 friendly dog and 2 playful cats and we live in a cosy house surrounded by a garden. Our children are on their own, but they sometimes visit us. We raise our own organic vegetables in several raised beds and normal garden beds. There is always something to do in the garden and around the house or walking the dog, cleaning windows and so on... We live in a small rural village in the beautiful hills of the "Odenwald". Our village is located roughly between Heidelberg and Frankfurt, also Mannheim and Darmstadt can be visited easily. There is a good public transportation to all these cities. The Odenwald is a famous hiking region and ideal for mountain biking, a bike is available. There is a climbing rock not far from our house. We speak English quite fluently and some French. I am a chef and musician, that's been traveling pretty much non-stop since I started....After 15 years of traveling, living in many intentional communities, collectives, cooking for many community kitchens, staying in many farms and seeing what it is possible in this world....I have seen many things I have loved and many things that didn't quite work in my opinion...now I have a unique opportunity to start a community based on helping each other (especially those that may not normally have access to such a privileged life-style) grow and learn through workshops and communal happenings. Right now I am in the extreme beginnings. I am looking for land, acquiring tools, equipment, ideas, networking. There is a lot of work to be done...it's not for those that would like to do nothing more than meditate (though, that is super great that you can do that), or get drunk all day (hey, it's a hard world....seriously, no judgement) or complain about all the shit that's going on in the world (you a...

Hi everyone! We are a couple with one child and expecting another one. We live in the countryside of our beautiful Garrotxa. We live in a farmhouse near the town (we can go walking). There are chickens here and some times of the year also cows. The forest is the backyard. There are beautiful views of the town and the valley from home. The house is very big and well accommodated. You'll have your own room and bathroom. And there are two living rooms. The town is really friendly. We collaborate in a creative workshop where you can go and do all the activities you can imagine. There is other people there with their projects and the aim is to share knowledge. For exemple, I sewed a guest wedding dress with their help. Others work with yarn, silk, clay, papers and crafts. There is also a theatre group. They played a comedy, then a touching serious play and last summer they played microtheatre. We performed one! It was embarrasing but very enriching. For chistmas there are christmas carols ...

I have a lovely natural building studio space, made of super adobe, that is used as a meditation/healing/sacred temple space, set in a lovely slightly wild permaculture garden, with a bee hive, flowers, veggies etc. The studio would be completely your own private space. I am happy to share some meditation/healing practices with you if you are interested. I would love help in the garden, with weeding, mulching, planting, harvesting and helping to make the garden creative, abundant, fertile and beautiful. Also need help going to the beach to collect seaweed for the garden beds. I would like to provide some meals, and have you be independent for some as well. I really like to meet and be social with helpers , and also to spend a lot of time in meditation and writing. I live in a little rural suburb near a beautiful mangrove area , and I am 40 minutes from wilsons prom, and less to other beautiful areas. A drivers license would be very helpful .

Hello Potential Volunteers My name is Paul and it was my dream to change my lifestyle from being an office worker to becoming an alpaca farmer.... here we are 14 years later with 100 alpacas, each individually cherishes with names and unique personalities, plus an assortment of other animals all needing our love :) I have three children: Liam (21), Dylan (9) and Oscar (6), and our 100-acre farm is home to approx.100 alpacas, plus llamas, peacocks, hens, mini pigs, a cat named Sexy, and our farm dog Malta. This year we are expecting 20 'cria' (baby alpacas) and each one will need our help so they can thrive! We need to ensure they get colostrum (filled with antibodies and vital for good health) – have they fed from their mums within the first 24hrs? Are they then drinking enough milk from their mums every day? Are they gaining weight? The well-being of my animals is the most important thing on the farm. Do they have good food and enough water, and the best possible natural environme...

My name is Selly and I am the founder of an association. I live in the city of Morogoro in Tanzania, where I was born. I founded this association 4years ago with the aim of promoting access to education for children,Youth and-women in my country and hometown. Unfortunately, although Tanzania has exceptional wildlife and culture, access to education is marked by significant inequalities. Approximately 3.5 million school-age children and adolescents are not enrolled in school, and nearly 30% of children aged 5 to 14 are working, 94% of whom are in the agricultural sector. Additionally, child labor still affects approximately 4.2 million children aged 5 to 17. If you wish to get involved in our project, you are welcome, whether it be for the short or long term. For the past two years, we have regularly welcomed volunteers of all backgrounds to participate in our project, but also to discover our country, its exceptional wildlife and flora, and to exchange ideas about our culture.

Hi, we are a family that lives in the south of Italy in the beautiful region of Puglia; in the countryside but not too far from the sea. We have a family-run business in the Cisternino countryside, with holiday homes for tourists, riding stables and recreational activities. Looking for a person who can help in various activities; really interested in the life of the campaign and learning different tasks such as: carpentry, wrought iron, construction, painting, maintenance of the garden and agriculture, but also request for help in the relationship and management of tourists who stay with us. Excellent opportunity for those looking for complete experiences in the field of crafts and tourism and in the relationship with nature and animals. Having 4 children already, we only look for completely independent and flexible people. Musicians and artists in general are welcome (Juan the owner is also a musician). There is a chance to learn how to work wood and iron and many other things. It's ...

Hello travelers, my name is Abidine Al-Boudani. I live with my family in a small town called Tagounite in the southeast of Morocco. Our family only settled during the middle of the last century, originally we descend from nomads, but have made a home in the Daraa Valley now. In walking distance to our house we have an organic farm, a 50 year old heritage from when my grandfathers settled down here. The farm is a beautiful place for anyone - be it people coming by themselves, friends, couples, families, pets - to spend an enjoyable time, connecting with the nature of the desert. ~ACCOMODATION~ Volunteers with tents can pitch them in the garden. Some families who come with a motorhome, truck and vehicles have the option to park right next to it. Currently an insulated tent is being constructed next to the garden house, which is also in progress. This accommodation will offer a more quiet environment than the family house, but comes with no bathroom yet at this point. If people need ...

I am an Irish filmmaker recently relocated to rural France, where I am developing a filmmaking residency and independent creative retreat in a 150-year-old French manor house. The property includes a 20+ room château-style house and two vast barns, which I am in the process of transforming into a fully independent film and arts studio complex. The long-term vision is to host filmmaking residencies, Kino Kabaret events, writers’ retreats, and film-industry masterclasses, alongside screenings, collaborative productions, and summer open-air theatre. This is a hands-on, evolving creative space designed for filmmakers, writers, artists, and curious makers who want to live and work together in a quiet, inspiring setting. The barns are being converted into:a 30-seat cinema / screening room editing suites a recording studio additional artist studios and workshop space Inside the main house, the work is largely restoration: painting and decorating historic salons and bedrooms, laying tile and w...
