Looking for a lovely volunteer(s) to join us and our animals. AVAILABILITY FROM the middle of November. We are fully booked until then. Please contact us if you are interested in helping look after our wonderful animals. Experience with horses is useful but not necessary as long as you are happy to care for them. You will live as part of the family - during your stay, our home will be your home. We are a married couple living on a property with our DOGS, HORSES and an elderly but treasured chicken. Depending on the time of year, we also run a small scale rescue and rehabilitation centre for hedgehogs. There are stunning views looking out over a Devon Wildlife Nature Reserve and beautiful countryside. We live in a very attractive rural area of Devon on the outskirts of a beautiful old village called DOLTON (please look on "Google Maps") about a 45 minute drive from Dartmoor National Park. The village has a very friendly and active community, a church, 2 excellent traditional pubs, a...

Dear friends and volunteers, as our a relaxing time with swimming and boat rides during the hot summer months is going to end, we are looking for helpers for the automne season. We usually start cleaning the field in September, we have to get rid of all stingy plants and twigs on the ground in order to put the nets later on without any damage. We are planning to start collecting the olives by middle of October, depending on the weather conditions, and continue in several turns till November. Once the harvest season is over, we have to cut the branches and put the smaller ones into the woodchipper, spread organic fertiliser, and repair some terraces. You don´t have to have any special knowledge or skills, we are happy about anyone with energy and supporting us while spreading good vibes. So don't hesitate to contact us when you are around, or you want to stay with us, helping for a minimum of 10 days, preferable around 2 weeks. * * * Kalimera, we are an Austrian couple living in...

Sorry folks, we are now fully booked until the beginning of April 2027. There may be a cancellation, but these are very rare, but if you are in the area, reach out, we love to chat :) As well as the normal homesteading tasks, if you want to learn about wine making, bee keeping, jewellery making, or take some self defence lessons we could be a great match. Have a think, take a look at our reviews and if you are interested, drop us a line, *** Our beautiful countryside homestead (only 5 acres so not really a farm) is in the mountainous hills above the historic castle town of Caccamo, Sicily. Located in Mani, in the very south of mainland Greece, about 300m above sea level in the foothills of the Taygetos mountain range, overlooking the Messinian Gulf you'll find my 3ha of half olive grove, interspersed with native trees and the other half a naturally grown woodland. I have converted to organic status and returned the land to traditional farming methods, next is growing fruit and vegetables and perhaps keeping some livestock.. The work in hand is varied and includes the maintenance of trees and harvest of olives, clearing land, rebuilding dry stone walls and housing. I aim to combine traditional materials, from sustainable resources, and recycled materials wherever possible and would welcome your help at any time of year, especially though at harvest time Nov.-Feb. In general I prefer longer stays, at least 2 weeks, longer after a trial period. Update: The PV park is up and running for some years now. The house is as good as finished, using mainly locally sourced and re-us...

I am an aquatic ecologist who has fortunately been working out of our coastal rain-forest property for 35 years. Driven by strong curiosity, I have recently been developing long-term data sets on the animal life in the forest that surrounds our home, plus on tropical marine fish that are steadily increasing in numbers under the influence of climate change at the nearby very beautiful Seal Rocks area (for details click on my website link below). We have 20 acres with 2 acres cleared and the remainder moist tall forest and rainforest. It is on the coast 3 hrs drive north of Sydney (1.5km from Smiths Lake; 30km south of Forster) See my blog link below to glimpse the accommodation, typical work and fun. We have a 180 squ m vegetable garden at times needing attention which has been enclosed to keep out our friends the wallabies (pademelons), possums, parrots and native bush turkeys. Bush regeneration is another activity as well as assisting in ecological surveys of local rivers when t...

Let us know! Hi, my name is Guido and with my family we live in the area where Mount Etna is the closest to the sea. We are a family with two children living in our own house with a garden in the countryside near Stuttgart, Germany. We share our home with a dog, four cats, rabbits, and chickens. We are looking for a responsible and reliable person who could stay with us for several months and help take care of our home and animals. From February until May, I am planning to visit my sister in Australia together with our children. During this time, my husband will stay at home, but as he often works long days, it would be wonderful to have someone here who could support him with the animals and around the house. Your main responsibilities would be walking the dog, feeding all the animals, cleaning the rabbit enclosure, and cleaning the cats’ litter boxes. These tasks will not take up the whole day, so there will be plenty of time for you to pursue your own activities and interests. When my husband is at home and has enough time to take care of the animals himself, you could also have some days off....

October is available From October onwards we are open to either short or longer stay requests. We could have a trial week or fortnight before committing to a long stay. Also we would like to arrange help for next year MARCH and April, this would involve strimming (rechargeable, metal blade Stihl, with mask etc) and for an experienced strimmer we could add some paid hours on top of the full board and bedroom. PLEASE no supporters of mass starvation and military actions against civilians... No climate change deniers ... We definitely would not get on!!! (to be clear it is not that we require long or even ANY conversations on these topics, it is that it would be against our principles to be gaining any kind of advantage by hosting people who were so strongly misaligned with our ethics). We like 24 hours(can be less if the work is grottier or heavier,)work each week from each person + a bit of vegetable chopping, this is in exchange for your accommodation and all your food (3 me...

This is a Standardbred Race Horse (Harness Racing) farm at the foot of Tamborine Mountain. Located 45 minutes from Brisbane in the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland. The closest train station is Beenleigh. Your own car is a plus. We welcome working holiday visa holders with good horse experience and most importantly a passion for horses !! In order to learn your daily task, routine and horses personalities, we will ask you to stay a minimum of 3 weeks. Long stays are really welcome. Your role on the farm would be helping with the daily care of our racehorses. It's an everyday job starting depending of the sun (4.30am in summer and later on winter time). We start each morning training the horses, washing them and feeding them. All the retired horses need to be feed and watered as well. We need to feed and water all the horses again each night before dark. The ideal helpers will be positive, willing and with a some decent english. I am professional early retired gentleman in my early 60's who lives in a 4 bedroom house with a substantial garden. I seek a helper who will assist with maintaining garden and house and be an engaging companion. House usually has other residents - either tenants or volunteers so there is almost always a little community atmosphere. A private room is provided to all volunteers and house has excellent modern facilities. Also, we often play puzzles, play chess and watch tv movies and TV shows. Listening and sharing music is also a constant activity. Finally walking around Dublin city and exploring the local area is something we do.

Attention!! Please read careful this before you write me. I am a bit tired of people writing me with all the enthusiasm requesting to come, very often I don't even get I answer back. I assume who ever you are, you are applying to different places at the same time, that's Ok, but if you write me, answer back even to say you are not finally coming, take the time to say no. since it was you who initiated the conversation, don't make me loose my time and energy, we are people communicating, not platforms that you can simply ignore when you request a place and find something else, for me this is important and already an essential way of how I want to welcome people in my house. Lets humanize the conversations please, lets take time, lest change this digital hipper speed no answer means empty narratives, NOW: I’m inviting a creative and open-minded person to share up to 2 weeks of artistic life in the countryside, just 30 minutes by bike from Amsterdam center. We live in a beautiful part of Queensland. Our property is just north of the Sunshine Coast and is where we live a sustainable, permaculture lifestyle. We would like help in the garden, growing food, in the kitchen preparing and preserving food, feeding and caring for farm animals.. We have chickens, ducks, geese, cattle and goats, which we will require help with occasionally. We manage these in a rotational grazing system. We practice permaculture and regenerative agriculture. Guests will learn as much as they want to about the way we manage the land to grow and create healthy food. We believe that food is medicine and good food and being active is essential to living well. We are approximately 1 hours drive from Noosa on the Sunshine Coast. You will need to get a train or bus to Gympie, and we can collect from there. Please note - if you have previously contacted me, I have no old messages and so you will need to contact me again. I've been locked out of helpx for a month or so.

Hi there helpers! We are sammy and nick We have moved from our farm to a new place on the coorong in SA! The local town of Meningie! We have built a beautiful home on the lake. and have been hosting helpers for almost 8 years! Check our reviews The position we have currently would suit either a couple or a single. The position is a bee keepers assistant and you would be required to help with bee keeping tasks with Nick like extracting and labelling honey and also taking care of some light house chores like mowing lawn and basic tidy up. If you have your own car that is preferred but not a dealbreaker. ability to drive a manual car would be good. It’s can be hot and sweaty work outdoors in the sun and you cannot be allergic to bees. It can also be very messy and sticky. We would provide you with a room in our home. It is a new build on the lakeside with our dog hoodoo and Nick and myself. We are flexible with task times as Nick and myself still work while managing the bees. So times...

** as of 20th September we are looking for a helper for an approx 2 week stay. We are in a declared natural disaster region, therefore the time spent on our property qualifies towards the 88 day visa requirements ** We are a family in rural Australia who have helpers (only 1 helper at any one time) stay with us from time to time. Our experience has been that shorter stays of about 2 weeks work best for our situation. We live on a beautiful property on the Nymboida River, a 15 minute drive from the town of Dorrigo and 40 minutes drive from Bellingen. We offer a luxurious, self contained cottage which is adjacent to our house but is also privately positioned. We have young children and enjoy meeting new people. We have a great swimming hole on the river (that we share with platypus and other creatures) and there are kayaks to use. Our wood fired sauna is a great way to end the day :) Our property is teeming with wildlife and 7 riverside hectares are set aside as a conservation area i...

We are very lucky to live on a farm in the beautiful Lake District, just on the edge of the National Park in Cumbria; the farm dates back to the late 1600's. Over the years parts of it have been renovated and added to and some parts are looking a little sorry for themselves! Myself, my sister and my 14yr old nephew live and work on the farm running a small accommodation business and a Friesian horse sanctuary. We have big plans for the farm in the future, however for now we could do with a little help with day-to-day living. We are on the outskirts of the lovely village of Cartmel which is home to an ancient Priory, a small racecourse, several very good restaurants and pubs and it is famously the home of Sticky Toffee Pudding! You can walk into the village from the farm in just under 20 minutes and there is a local grocery store and several pubs where you can meet friendly locals and visitors from all over the world. The nearest town is Kendal which is about a 20 minute drive away or...

COME TO BEAUTIFUL BRUNY ISLAND near Hobart. DO YOU LOVE ❤️ OYSTERS? 🦪🦪🦪🦪🦪🥂If not we have lots of other delicious food. We need help Monday September 21st, Tuesday 22nd & Wednesday 23rd. Day trip or stay with us a few nights. Car preferred but we might be able to pick you up. The weather is a bit crazy on Sunday, so safer to travel Monday. Work for 3-4 hours then we will have an amazing dinner. You can stay with us at our holiday house with water views. Or you can just come for the day and catch the last ferry home after dinner. The option might exist to stay longer but that’s by special request. This would suit singles, (if there's others staying) couples or a group of friends wanting a short but fun adventure. Sometimes we have small numbers just 2 people, other times large numbers of backpackers and travellers. BRUNY ISLAND has BEACHES, FORESTS, BIRDS, NATURE, and so much more. We are located at Adventure Bay on the South of the island which is roughly a 90 minute jo...

Hello,We are Lorraine & David a mature aged couple looking for honest, motivated, tidy and non-smoking worker/s to help on our 200 acres off grid farm. Greetings. We would like to welcome you to our home in East Auckland. It has been enjoyable hosting many HelpX travellers from many different countries. We have a beautiful home close to beaches, the city and also the countryside. We are looking for people to garden, build and paint (4 hours per day) in exchange for accomodation and food. You will have your own accomodation in the summer house in the garden. The summer house is surrounded by beautiful gardens and has many birds. It has a double bed and small kitchen. It provides a comfortable, clean and relaxing space. See the last photo. The summer house now has a shower and an extension which will become a bedroom. However it needs painting first. Guess what work yiu will be doing. We see ourselves as friendly, outgoing and welcoming people. We offer a great base to explore Auckland or a quiet beautiful location if you want to relax after work. We are close to beautiful beaches.

Hi! We are Steve and Johanna, a couple who decided to buy a property with magical views and a shearing shed on the top of a mountain. This venue is very exposed and not for the faint-hearted in wild weather! But when the sun shines it's truly paradise. We converted the shearing shed into a home and have now been here 28 months. We have a small shed next to the house which contains a sleeping "capsule", complete with double bed, lights, mirror, clothes hanging space etc. We have installed a toilet with handbasin behind the garage which serves as a wee bathroom for visitors. There is always a project on the go and weeding and planting to do as well...send us a message or give us a call. If you like to explore, there are plenty of slopes to wander over, plus some beautiful NZ bush. We have 2 energetic Foxy/ Jack Russell puppies who roam and play and love attention. We love the interactions with our HelpX guests and the variety of people we host is stimulating and satisfying. Come enjoy...

A WEEK IN THE LIFE OF AN ANAM CARA VOLUNTEER On arrival on the Tuesday afternoon volunteers are greeted and have time to settle into their space. Each volunteer is given their own private lotus bell tent, or occasionally a room in the house if the tent does not suit. The tents are situated next to our beautiful oak grove, close enough to all the facilities of the house to be easeful for the coming and going of the community, but far enough away that you can enjoy the peace of birds, kangaroos, deer and possums around your den. Families are also welcome to volunteer at Anam Cara, with the work of parenting included as part of your work exchange, and sensitivity is given to weaving babies and children young and old into the rhythm of the community. The tents are very clean and cosy with a full queen size bed, power, electric blankets, heaters and fans for summer. Indoor toilets and outdoor compost toilets are available for use, plus hot showers and a bath. All bedding is provided. New v...

We are still welcoming volunteers from September to November for 2-4 week stays. Particularly if you enjoy strenuous physical work, including chopping wood. We are a clifftop ecological microfarm on a quarter acre at the westernmost tip of the stunning Beara peninsula in West Cork, Ireland, focused on salad-vegetable production. Now that autumn is here, the work becomes much more physical, with wheelbarrowing in manure every week and making and turning compost heaps, so it really helps if you are strong. We also have a massive wood pile that needs moving and chopping to clear an area that we are hoping to use for next spring. Until the end of October, I will still be harvesting vegetables twice a week, and there will be small amounts of sowing, transplanting, and weeding, so lots to talk about in the garden. At the same time, we are fixing up a small hut as a short-term rental, so if you are interested in carpentry, pouring a new concrete roof, painting, or replacing windows, there...

We provide comfortable accommodation, daily 3 meals, Morning tea, evening tea, drinking water and hot water for our volunteers. A small contribution of USD 8 per day is requested to help cover food, electricity, water and other basic expenses. After selling our farm we have moved to a beautiful 40 acre block on the boundary of Mount Aspiring National Park. Makarora is a small settlement, 60km north of Wanaka, on the way to Haast and the West Coast. Helper tasks include help maintaining the surrounding native bush, care of the chooks, ducks, dogs and house cows. I need a Helper to be motivated, willing to take a turn with the cooking and other household chores. There is a perfect opportunity for a competent and trustworthy Helper to look after things when I am away for a few days every now and then. Own vehicle a definite advantage. Stunning mountain and bush scenery, plenty of places to explore, including nearby Lakes Hawea and Wanaka. Blue Pools only 8km away. ps if you are a critical thinker / freedom person, please feel free to mention this in your application. It is very refreshing to share my days with like minded folk, especially if you are part of the spiritual awakening in addition to being awake to the global ag...

There may be a cancellation, but these are very rare, but if you are in the area, reach out, we love to chat :) As well as the normal homesteading tasks, if you want to learn about wine making, bee keeping, jewellery making, or take some self defence lessons we could be a great match.

A harbor of authenticity, a place for ideas and connections. An oasis of independence in the unceasing quest for self-sufficiency. A botanical garden with many interesting and unexpected varieties, train station 5 min on foot, mount Etna ever on fire, seasonal food, and much more. --- Local produce, traditional food and seeds from your area are very welcome (if possible). --- Consider having kids around (sometimes babysitting) as part of the experience. --- To best organize farm activities let us know always your travel plans and terms of stay. -- Looking for someone with experience in web development and the like to help building our site. -- Are you familiar with beekeeping? Let us know! Hi, my name is Guido and with my family we live in the area where Mount Etna is the closest to the sea. This area is renowned for its unique soil and microclimate; inevitable conditions if you have a three and a half thousand metres volcano to less than ten km from the coast. Our farm consists of ...

We are a cultural and arts community that is working towards being self-sustained. The community is situated in the mountains of Monchique, Portugal surrounded by nature. Our community provides an alternative way of living with permaculture gardens, farm animals, sustainability projects, and arts and cultural workshops. It is a great place to come to meet other like-minded people if you are passionate about sustainability and alternative living. We hold community meetings throughout the week alongside activities and workshops, such as quiz nights, dance nights and yoga classes. With its vibrant cultural scene, world-class museums, historic landmarks, countless cafés, parks, and excellent public transport. I would kindly ask you to help with painting, fencing, gardening, sweeping leaves, cleaning and maintaining the house, as well as feeding and caring for the animals.

Because it’s a 30 hec property and there is always some...

We are looking for a couple or two friends to stay for a couple of weeks or more if agreed. We are maintaining our property for sale and we need to keep in condition. There is work removing trees, tidying up the garden and removing debris from the fires and recent storms. There is also cleaning work helping Cate with property management. During free time you are welcome to borrow our electric scooters and go swimming and exploring. We live in Mallacoota, one of Australia's most beautiful places on the southeast coast. It is a World Biosphere Reserve in the middle of the Croajingolong National Park next to the ocean with an estuarine lake system and many, many beaches. We are 2km from the town centre and 3km from the nearest beach. There are about seven magnificent beaches within 10km of us. Mallacoota is 540km from Melbourne, 630km from Sydney and 360km from Canberra with limited access via public transport so keep that in mind when planning your schedule. Our family includes M...

This is an exchange ba...

Volunteers are expected to help with simple activities around our eco and agro project for a few hours a day. There are no fixed helping hours, and we are happy to discuss the activities with each volunteer depending on their interests and abilities. Our aim is to provide a friendly and authentic Sri Lankan village experience while giving travellers the opportunity to learn about local farming, tea, nature and rural life.

We live on a 3 acre lifestyle block of land 32km south of Whakatane. We are close to the Te Urewera National Park. On our land we have 7 Wiltshire sheep as well as ducks and many fruit trees, an organic vegetable garden.also are trying to establish small wilderness area in native plants. The little village of Waimana is 2km from where we live. The Waimana river is good for swimming, kayaking and trout fishing. Work includes helping in the house, garden work and firewood. We like to have lots of fun and include you as part of our family and also like to take people walking in the hills. We are also establishing a forested area for " Shinrin yoku " forest bathing for rest and relaxation. If you enjoy good food and wine, you are welcome.
