We live in a fun share house in Maryborough, Miss Poppins Town, with awesome meals and a big edible garden. We're Mars, the owner of the property and Tracy, a former theatre/restaurant owner who's cooking the most awesome meals and looking after everyone like a mum. There're 2 adorable dogs in the family, so you must be a dog lover. We need help with building and creating, and with an awesome but overgrown garden. In addition, we're about to put 12v solar power into the rooms, also natural air-conditioning and are finishing up the spar bath in the 2nd bathroom... so there's a bit for you to learn and lots of knowledge to take home. We have had great experiences with travellers so far as Mars's former partner has been on HelpX for quite some time. Maryborough is only 30 minutes away from Hervey Bay with beautiful beaches overlooking Frazer Island. Maryborough is a beautiful old heritage town with a lot of old buildings and parks all around. We're just a few metres away from the Mary ...

We live in a nature sanctuary on Corfu island in Greece. we are a COMMUNITY of PLANTS, ANIMALS AND HUMAN BEINGS, who try to live together IN THE SPIRIT OF NATURE. we are organized similar to a zen monastery. yet we are not affiliated to any religious body, but to the holy body of our mother earth. the earth takes care of us. the earth gives to us what we need. she gives us and she for-gives us – she never asks for money… we admire the communities in nature (ecosystems), where all members balance their needs and gifts in a healthy way, without money, without machines and without chemicals. here in NATURE’S SANCTUARY we try to live in harmony with nature. we try to support and protect all our nature brothers and sisters, who share this sanctuary with us… it is a CHALLENGE TO LIVE IN HARMONY WITH NATURE. it is a challenge to protect and support all nature beings in a way, that they have the chance to live in their own natural born communities. we are looking for people, who want to take...

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

Hello, my partner John & I, have had a wonderful time sharing our home with volunteers. We now have a vacancy for mid january/february,/march for a volunteer to join us. We live as a family & enjoy many things together, with our volunteers, many of whom have become lasting friends. We live in a 4 bed modern dormer bungalow, in a beautiful village, with a shop & bus stop 3 minutes walk from the house. We live with my father, who is 88 years old and has mild to moderate memory loss. My father has Carer’s visiting 3 times a day, to help him shower & take him out for a drive. My father loves extra company from volunteers, so that he doesn’t feel lonely, but they don’t need to provide care, as we do that, but he does like to have someone there, to watch television with him. even if they are working on a laptop, so that he’s not alone. I also need help with running the house & cooking. We have a friendly and well-mannered old lady dog, Labrador cross springer, called Teal, she loves ...

🇬🇧 English We are an organic farm and farm-to-table restaurant located at the foot of Cap Corse, between Saint-Florent and Oletta, 10 minutes from the beaches and the “Route des Vins”. Our 12-hectare farm is planted with centuries-old olive and oak trees, vegetable gardens and orchards. We produce organic vegetables, fruit and olive oil. Our main project is to create a lively place where agriculture, food and culture meet. We run a small seasonal restaurant at the farm and organise cultural events such as concerts and theatre with our association “A Salvatica”. As we are a business, we employ seasonal workers to help with farm and restaurant activities. volunteers who join us will be part of this professional team, with a legal seasonal work contract, paid at least the French minimum wage, and free accommodation on site in simple wooden chalets under the olive trees. 🇫🇷 Français Nous sommes une ferme en agriculture biologique et un restaurant de type “ferme-auberge”, situés au p...

Hello everyone! My name is Bird, I was working in Chiang-Mai as a photographer for 2 years then decided to become a farmer and create a Thai traditional agriculture permaculture farm in 2018. I wish to create a relaxing place that allows people from all over the world to take their time to experience life in harmony with nature. I also have four water buffalo on our farm, named Tony, Laura, Hanna and Charlie. We are a local family with a desire to preserve our simple, sustainable way of life so that we can give back to and protect mother earth. Our farm is located in Pua city, 70km north of Nan province surrounded by the mountains and rice fields, in Northern Thailand. The farm is set on 1.5 acres of land with vegetable gardens, rice paddies, farm stay and pizza restaurant. Currently, we have done with natural buildings on the farm, including bamboo huts, fences, and wooden houses. “Life is better with a Buffalo” is our farm goal and “Happiness only real when shared “ is our motto. I live in an old farm and farmhouse in Normandy. I have converted a cottage into a holiday cottage with 4 bedrooms (all en suite) and one barn into another. “The whole is more than the sum of its parts”. We are relaxed, open-minded and see life as an ongoing learning experience. Our project was born from the idea that ‘You have to be the change that you want to see in the world’ (Ghandi) and our approach is professional, based on respect, trust and integrity. To create an economical basis to live here and to maintain and develop the estate, we have created a unique, sustainable, artistic rural retreat, receiving guests from all over the world. Over the past period we have been investing in sustainability (heat pumps, more solar panels) and now (2025) we want to focus more on the development and regeneration of the 12-ha land and integrating aspects that we think are most important to life as we see it. Not in the last place in view of the current climate situation, it is not sufficient to be only sustainable, we must focus on water harvesting, regenerating the soil (regenerative agriculture, agroforestry). We have several gardens, orchard...

We are a family of four, Pere 46 years, Emma 39 years, Carla 7 years and Jordi 4 year old. We live in a house in the mountains at an altitude of 1000 meters. Our goal is to be self-sufficient at least in food. So we have 15 dairy sheep and we produce yogurt and cheese for the family, a vegetable garden with a greenhouse and chickens. We like to enjoy life and not be slaves to work so that the working days are of few hours. The main work experience we offer is: taking care of the vegetable garden, cleaning small terraces to open new pastures for our flock, cutting small bushes and cutting old grass. The hospitality of the volunteers is in the house with us, individual room. We all have lunch and dinner together as we believe it is a time of sharing and pleasure. Because we just speak Catalan, Spanish and Italian, we would prefer guests speaking those languages. We are waiting for you!

Hello Potential Volunteers My name is Paul and it was my dream to change my lifestyle from being an office worker to becoming an alpaca farmer.... here we are 14 years later with 100 alpacas, each individually cherishes with names and unique personalities, plus an assortment of other animals all needing our love :) I have three children: Liam (21), Dylan (9) and Oscar (6), and our 100-acre farm is home to approx.100 alpacas, plus llamas, peacocks, hens, mini pigs, a cat named Sexy, and our farm dog Malta. This year we are expecting 20 'cria' (baby alpacas) and each one will need our help so they can thrive! We need to ensure they get colostrum (filled with antibodies and vital for good health) – have they fed from their mums within the first 24hrs? Are they then drinking enough milk from their mums every day? Are they gaining weight? The well-being of my animals is the most important thing on the farm. Do they have good food and enough water, and the best possible natural environme...

Hei ! Here is Ingunn and Mathieu. We are a Norwegian-French couple and since mai 2021 a happy family of three. Our family house "Karnes Gaard" is a farm since the 16th century. In 1912, Ingunn's grand father gave part of the land for the Tromsø county to build "Solhov", prestigious boarding school and largest wooden building north of Trondheim. When Ingunn took over the farm in 2009, running it organically felt something obvious. And when Solhov was for sale the next year, a dream became possible : sharing our love for the Lyngen Alps by hosting guests who seek breathtaking surroundings, healthy stay and organic local food, peaceful lifestyle and carbon-free activities. Our dream is to serve as much as possible our organic and local products to these guests. Originally we grow potatoes and strawberries. We are trying several small scale production to see what is possible to grow here up north. At the moment, we are focusing in : - increasing our honeybees park, hives and flowers -...

Hi beautiful people! I’m Christine, a happy spirited former language and arts teacher working across two continents. Since I retired I work in the natural health field. I live on an urban block called The Roo‘s Pouch, where I maintain a sustainable vegetable garden and created a community of nice people living with me. I live in one of the three buildings on this sunny property which runs on rainwater harvesting. We avoid chlorine and contaminates by filtering, harmonizing and ionizing our water. So water conservation is part of life for me. The corner block is in a suburb of Maryborough. There are 3 beautiful public parks surrounding with lots of kangaroos hopping peacefully around, near to the Mary River. The historic city of Maryborough has a lot to offer and is the home town of Mary Poppins. We are only 30 min by car from the ocean in Hervey Bay with wale watching when in season. Hervey Bay is at the doorsteps of Fraser Island/K’Gari. I offer for single or couple a bedroom wit...

Hi, help is needed to work on a large Victorian house in a Conservation Area in south London with excellent transport links. It would be nice if you had done some building work or gardening. We will be cleaning & renovating mostly the middle & upper floors of a 3-storey house with cellar. In the process of installing a second kitchen and doing some decorating. There is also a large rear garden with work to do tidying up wild patches, mowing lawns and hedge cutting. Tasks in the house will include moving boxes and furniture, cleaning and preparing surfaces for painting & decorating and helping to install kitchen units. Outside will be garden maintenance, clearing a pond and cleaning gutters. It would be useful if you had a head for heights. There will be bonfires to burn branches & logs felled in the summer. A project we will be working on in the spring is the design & construction of a home office/ gymnasium at the bottom of the garden. To incorporate a raised terrace, barbecue area...

This is a traditional family-owned farm which, after years of abandonment, is currently being re-imagined as a sustainable and environmentally-conscious community. Located just 3km from the beach, where the Pampa plain meets the rugged coastline of the Argentinian Atlantic. We are passionate about agriculture, surfing, music, travel, nature and the environment, who want to create a communal space where people from around the world can come to learn about sustainable living and ecological ideals; share delicious organic food from the gardens; surf; tell stories; share knowledge, ideas, culture and language; learn about farming, the environment, or just relax and enjoy the farm and surrounds. The project is in its early stages and we are looking for energetic and responsible individuals wanting to experience and contribute to rural life and communal living close to nature. We are looking for self-motivated individuals to help us out with daily tasks such as helping in the kitchen, kee...

The permaculture project and the Farm develop in the social, historical and urban fabric of the town of Modica (RG), mainly between the Fontana, Dente and Pennino districts. We actively collaborate with other projects in the province, from which we learn a lot. We live a sober, frugal, healthy life. We follow, in a somewhat radical way, the ethics of Permaculture and many of its principles. After a period of training in horticulture and spiritual reconnection in the Loire in a Sōtō Zen temple, a PDC at Il Filo di Paglia (Comiso) and two years of agricultural experiences of the most varied in south-eastern Sicily, we feel ready to open ourselves to volunteers , willing and passionate who want to live, share and exchange within in this vibrant and beautiful setting. The Mediterranean Sea is just 20 minutes by train (Sampieri train station). We've got a 17th century house for the project (Oct. 2022), quite abandoned for more than one year: Plenty of work has been already done, some mino...

I am an aquatic ecologist who has fortunately been working out of our coastal rain-forest property for 35 years. Driven by strong curiosity, I have recently been developing long-term data sets on the animal life in the forest that surrounds our home, plus on tropical marine fish that are steadily increasing in numbers under the influence of climate change at the nearby very beautiful Seal Rocks area (for details click on my website link below). We have 20 acres with 2 acres cleared and the remainder moist tall forest and rainforest. It is on the coast 3 hrs drive north of Sydney (1.5km from Smiths Lake; 30km south of Forster) See my blog link below to glimpse the accommodation, typical work and fun. We have a 180 squ m vegetable garden at times needing attention which has been enclosed to keep out our friends the wallabies (pademelons), possums, parrots and native bush turkeys. Bush regeneration is another activity as well as assisting in ecological surveys of local rivers when t...

We are looking for a couple or two friends to stay for a couple of weeks or more if agreed. We are maintaining our property for sale and we need to keep in condition. Looking for helpers who can help for a minimum of two weeks; our next availability is in January next year. In return you will have your own fully self-contained, separate, private, peaceful accommodation, with en-suite, washing machine and kitchen with beautiful views of rural land and Tasman Bay. Wi-Fi, power and water included, plus food. You must be physically strong, hard-working, practical and fit, with plenty of stamina - as well as not being afraid of getting your hands dirty. Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . WELCOME TO PARADISE GLENORCHY! We are a busy couple working full time and needing help with our property. Based in the spot chosen by the original settling family in the area, we have a really well established garden that needs taming and some quirky buildings that need some TLC. Looking for hardy gardeners, handy DIYers and folks who are keen to just generally get stuck in. We have a great retro caravan, sleep out, outdoor kitchen and bathroom set up that's screaming out for someone, two friends or a couple to bring it to life. At this stage we a only provide breakfast, but could do lunch in some situations. We have heaps of freezer space and suggest you stock up on a few dinners, and drinks in Queenstown before you get here as the local shops are a bit pricey. Spark phone signal is limited to the end of the drive, OneNz works just fine. - free internet available. We recommend helpers have there own wheels, as we're 5km outside of Glenorchy. There is however a bike you can use if ...

(Note for U4U applicants -- we cannot sponsor any refugees from Ukraine at this time, but we are happy to host you if someone else can sponsor you.) ~Our Place~ We live on a beautiful piece of land in rural Texas, full of lush green hills, towering pines, oak savannahs, and wild animals, about 1 hour's drive from Austin.

WELCOME TO PARADISE GLENORCHY! We are a busy couple working full time and needing help with our property. Based in the spot chosen by the original settling family in the area, we have a really well established garden that needs taming and some quirky buildings that need some TLC. We are a farming couple in their 60's potting around doing interesting projects & everyday farm stuff. Gold Coast hinterland area, 35mins to the beach. We host a small Airbnb farmstay Everything here is pretty laid back & you'll become part of our family while you are here. Longer stayers preferred. We have lots of projects on the go here on our little farm, from building stone gateways to house renovations, gardening, property maintenance, animal care, housework, weed control & tree planting in our protected 'Land For Wildlife' area, whatever we are doing at the time. Two days off each week. We are the opposite of the slave-driving factory farms. We have accom suitable for a couple and/or a single. Its helpful if you are in or heading towards SE QLD We have been hosting since 1998. Thank you for the lovely references. We're grateful to say we've had some really exceptional visitors from many countries. We are lucky to have a beautiful farm, in the hinterland of the Gold Coast, ju...

I can't see the world, but the world can come see me. First and foremost, I want to thank all the helpers who came from United Kingdom-England, France, Belgium, Italy, China, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. Welcome Helpers. We are a family of 5 living in the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia. Sue is the founder of Peaceful Hollow. Her daughter Ruth moved to the Hollow later as well as her husband Tim and their 2 daughters. Our hollow is quite with no neighbors in sight. There are no city lights, and you can see every star on a clear night! Our homestead consists of Sue, Tim & Ruth's cabins and one very small guest cabin. Also, there is an private guestroom with private entrance on the second floor above the workshop/cabin combination. . We have a lot you can be involved in, knowledge to share, friendships to build, and opportunities for growth. Below are our routines and some projects. We would love to involve you! - Caring for our chickens, cats, dogs, one registered...

My property is 10 hectares on the West Coast of the South Island, which starts at the coast with sand beach and sunsets and heads inland 1km through native wetlands and forest. Approximately 20km from Westport, 1km from Tauranga Bay! Public transport is limited? I'm a Certified Plumber and Drainlayer by trade but recently retired to work on property (next stage of life!) I have hosted many people through Couchsurfing over the years! Helpx is a new concept for me I purchased the property which is in need of a lot of work to tidy up, contouring/fencing/and planting trees etc. I'm now into planting out and setting up orchard also clearing introduced plants and replanting with natives. Current projects are building a new cottage for myself which is at the internal painting stage! and similar 2-bedroom cottage as a guest house which is at the internal lining and painting stage! both will be total off grid power and water supply. Next on the list is building a hot house and shade house I'...
