I can't see the world, but the world can come see me. First and foremost, I want to thank all the helpers who came from United Kingdom-England, France, Belgium, Italy, China, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. Welcome Helpers. I live in the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia. Peaceful Hollow is quite with no neighbors in sight. There are no city lights, and you can see every star on a clear night! Pleaseful Hollow consists of: my cabin,/workshop with a private guestroom with private entrance on the second floor, and a very small guest cabin. My daughter and family moved here much later and have their own home. There is a lot you can be involved in, knowledge to share, friendships to build, and opportunities for growth. Below are routines and some projects. I would love to involve you! - Caring for honey bees, chickens, cats, dogs, one registered pure American Mulefoot boar pig, one gilt pig berkshire-tamworth with spots.. i am a fourth-generation beekeeper and has much ...

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

Rob and I bought a big old house, in a small village, with its own grounds, in December 2019, with plans to make it a home and a guest house. We have down a lot of work so far to refurbish, paint, decorate, all by ourselves.... And have started to welcome guests. We have now one room in the main house and a small side house for seasonal rentals. We have many projects in mind for the future, like renovating a building to make it a small café and a gite ! We do need help with the garden and maintaining the grounds, as we have a huge 7200m2 garden! And we need people with any skill and experience that could help with the projects listed above. We could accomodate 1 person in a private bedroom, in the main house, meals during the working days. 2 or 3 days off if you wish to go away for long weekends ! . There would be no meals during the days off if you stay home, but you will have the use of a fridge and kitchen, and free to feel at home. That is flexible as well of course. Dependin...

We’re a share cost ship that has been sailing since 2004. The boat is an old school steel ketch, big, tall, wide, heavy, black, gnarly, full of character. She was abandoned for years in Hong Kong, bought for 1$, and has circumnavigated since with a crew of sea vagabonds. The crew is usually composed of a healthy mix of nomadic wanderers and non-conforming individuals but anybody is welcome, regardless of nationality, age, gender, worldview, background, or financial status. Attitude is what matters. In an effort to share, learn and grow, we take as crew anybody motivated to join with an open mind, a willingness to become part of the team and a deep craving for this lifestyle. The boat is operated as a non profit cooperative. We run on limited funds from crew contribution and so we’re not a luxury yacht. Somehow, because of our alternative lifestyle and eclectic past crew, plus a reputation gained in our younger and wilder past, people sometimes get the impression we are a full-on h...

I would be very happy to welcome volunteer teachers who are willing to help at my school for two or three months, or even for a full semester. *I want the volunteers who work at my school to not feel like they are working. Instead, I want them to feel that they are enjoying themselves and having a holiday while staying with us. Their room is fully equipped with air conditioning, hot showers, and a spacious private room that is separate from the main house, so they can feel comfortable and relaxed during their stay.* My name is Edison I have a wife, her name is Nofi. I also have two children, Ochta (32 years old) and Fadlil (12 years old). Ochta can speak English. I run a private English school for children between the ages of 7 and 19 in the small town of Batusangkar, West Sumatra. Looking for a lovely volunteer(s) to join us and our animals. AVAILABILITY FROM early October. We are fully booked until then. Please contact us if you are interested in helping look after our wonderful animals. Experience with horses is useful but not necessary as long as you are happy to care for them. You will live as part of the family - during your stay, our home will be your home. We are a married couple living on a property with our DOGS, HORSES and an elderly but treasured chicken. Depending on the time of year, we also run a small scale rescue and rehabilitation centre for hedgehogs. There are stunning views looking out over a Devon Wildlife Nature Reserve and beautiful countryside. We live in a very attractive rural area of Devon on the outskirts of a beautiful old village called DOLTON (please look on "Google Maps") about a 45 minute drive from Dartmoor National Park. The village has a very friendly and active community, a church, 2 excellent traditional pubs, a post off...

Hello and welcome to our profile :). If you are reading this and have not yet read our reviews - please do so. We were very disappointed to receive the latest review which as you can see, is in total contrast to all others received over the past ten or more years. We do hope that you can look beyond this and speak with us about any concerns you may have in advance of committing to a stay here. We can absolutely guarantee that we are not the kind of people that we have been made out to be, and because of this we have attempted to address all points made although we wish we had not been 'forced' to do so by one person who did not find the experience to her satisfaction. Thank you if you are still reading. Currently seeking single person from 16th August onwards. If you are not available until later, and would like to reserve a place with us please drop us a message and we will chat and try and save your preferred dates. Ideally, a minimum commitment of at least one month is neces...

We live in the beautiful Scottish Borders in the countryside near the small town of Duns, 40 miles south of Edinburgh. You would be staying in a very beautiful county, and after a stay with us you could travel and explore the Scottish Highlands and Islands. We are a family of five, my husband Patrick who is a woodworker and designer, me - Naomi, and our three sons Aaron, Finian and Seth, aged 20+ . This posting is for a very specific type of help, although you do not need to be qualified or even have experience in the matter. Our second son, Finian, who is 21, has down's syndrome. In September we could do with some help for him. We thought that he would be moving away to a residential place but this has not worked out. I, Naomi, would love someone to come and help me for one to two months. You could be male or female, be able to be assertive with Finian if need be but in a gentle and firm manner. Be able to cook sometimes and do some house cleaning and washing. My eldest son, ...

We are a cultural and arts community that is working towards being self-sustained. The community is situated in the mountains of Monchique, Portugal surrounded by nature. Our community provides an alternative way of living with permaculture gardens, farm animals, sustainability projects, and arts and cultural workshops. It is a great place to come to meet other like-minded people if you are passionate about sustainability and alternative living. We hold community meetings throughout the week alongside activities and workshops, such as quiz nights, dance nights and yoga classes. If you have something you are passionate about and want to share with others, we would love for you to run a workshop. One of the best things here is the variety of tasks you can do as a volunteer, which gives you the opportunity to learn new skills and discover what you enjoy doing most. We have a combination of short-term and long-term volunteers and on average we have between 10 to 20 volunteers and resident...

We welcome helpers during busy periods on our family run farm, which is located 2.5 hours south of Perth. We are currently looking for up to two helpx helpers for the last week of August and first two weeks of September, to help with the busy lamb marking and crutching period. We have ~10 000 sheep and 750ha of crops. Our three very friendly sheep dogs work with us, but they're not able to do all jobs, no matter how willing they are :D If you're fit, practical and don't mind getting your hands dirty, we'd welcome your company. In exchange we will provide free food and accommodation, pleasant hosts and a real Australian farm experience. See the list of main jobs for each month at the end of our listing. However, it's normally quite mixed with other jobs like fencing, machinery maintenance and sheep work scattered throughout. Our farm is close to the small town of Darkan, with ~ 600 residents in the local area and opportunities for our helpers to meet and socialise with other local...

Hi beautiful people! I’m Christine, a happy spirited former language and arts teacher working across two continents. Since I retired I work in the natural health field. I live on an urban block called The Roo‘s Pouch, where I maintain a sustainable vegetable garden and created a community of nice people living with me. Countryside, near Atlántida, Uruguay. We’re a mature couple who work in the city and live on a small farm - a peaceful retreat from the urban rush. Our companions are a few horses and dogs. Most of them came to us from the rescued shelter and in poor condition. With time, care, and patience, we’ve helped them heal. Our farm isn’t a commercial venture; it’s simply a quiet, cozy place to live close to nature. We’re looking for a reliable helper - someone who’s interested in staying with us long-term. What we offer: - Private accommodation in a converted sea container, fully equipped with a gas stove, shower, refrigerator, and other essentials. - Groceries provided - you prepare your own meals. - Free internet access (limited). We can also offer guidance and support with the residency application process for those who wish to stay long-term. If you’re over 25, love animals, enjoy farm life, and consider yourself hardworking, responsible, and adaptable - we’d be happy to welcome you. ...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Hei, here is Monica and Mario During the pandemic our life changed radically and we are now living in the beautiful island of Skrova, most known as Lofoten's Little Hawaii!! Monica is from Portugal, 35 years old and Mario from USA (half Norwegian/Sicilian....) 34 years old. The atmosphere on the island is very relaxed and friendly! It's a small island and since we are the only cafe/restaurant, give us the oportunity to have a very strong conection with the local comunity. Volunteers that stay with us have the oportunity to meet and get close to locals and local life. We we like to go for walks, kayaking, paddle boarding, spend time in nature, eat some nice food (Mario is a great cook) and have some chats with a glass of red wine (preference under the shy Norwegian Sun ;) oh and we loooove to use the sauna!!! ;) We have various projects going on: - A little guesthouse with 15 rooms - a local cafe/restaurant, set in a beautiful 200 years old building - Our house: small tasks around ...

Old monumental farmhouse in small village in Natürpark Fichtelgebirge, near the border of Germany and the Czech Republic. Welcome for guests the whole year who will help us to rebuild our beautiful spot; house and surroundings. We are looking for intelligent 'hands' and 'good heart' people who really want to come here for at least one week. In the past our roof was burned and therefore there is a lot to do. We are now working in the interior, tiling floors and bathroom, plastering with local clay, painting with chalk paints. And there are a lot of other things to do outside as in the garden and in the field/wood. The house has much space for the quests and a special quest room. Working hours are 25 hours a week and the organising times are depending on the wishes of the quests and the work. Meals are simpel, most biological from own garden and if necessary vegetarian. We have a garden in progress and a very good therapeutic well. The three kids are living nearby with their mother. In ...

Im trying to realize my dream, devoted to permaculture and natural architecture on the 25 decare land we purchased in 2021, where there are pine forests and natural water resources, and where natural life is happily alive. My biggest dream is for my daughter and other children to grow up together in a healthy soil, poison-free tables, on a farm full of happy animals, in a community where our friends and guests contribute. We continue to take slow but beautiful steps on the path we set out with this dream, with the efforts of our friends and volunteers who contribute to us. I will be glad to see you among us I have camping tent, large tent, rv caravan, geodesic dome hause for our volunteers and guests to stay. You can also stay here with your own tents and caravans. We have a common area for shower and toilet. We can cook and eat our meals together during the day, and we will also respect your preferences. Currently accepting helpers for the 2026 farming season! We have space for July onwards! ***Please read the reviews below for an insight into what it’s really like!!!!*** More about what we do: We grow rice, cherries, roses, pumpkins, cucumbers and soy-beans on our farm here in Murayama-Shi in the middle of the very beautiful Yamagata Prefecture in the north part of Japan. We grow a premium rice without chemicals and more labour intensive traditional methods which we sell direct to the customer. Our orchards unfortunately are not organic, but we are researching ways to substitute natural sprays. We have also opened a guesthouse and a mochi restaurant! We are a big (crazy) family: 3 generations, 9 people plus some local staff! Apart from my wife and I, my family only speaks Japanese! Everyone is very friendly, but you will definitely need a sense of humour, patience and a willingness to try to communicate. You would eat with the family (traditional Japanese food - so rice for brea...

We purchased this beautiful château in the Loire Valley in 2013 and with HelpXers like yourself, we worked tirelessly to renovate it, taking it from its dilapidated state to the current splendour of a modern 21st century castle. There is still a large space to renovate, as well as finishing touches all around the château, so we get excited if you have trade skills to offer. We'd like to add up lights and down lights around the moat and the building, so if you have electrical skills, that could be very handy! We are keen to invite interested people here for longer periods of time. We ask ideally a minimum stay of two weeks with us, but longer periods are possible to the suitable people. We love positive enthusiastic people, who enjoy all that life offers and can share that energy with those around them. If you like working in the garden or have general handyman skills... we would love to hear from you. We would also love a stonemason to join us, as we always have a few stones t...

Rita is a health-food enthusiast and loves to work with different kinds of art-craft. She likes to explore Medicinal plants, Food preservation and fermentation, Hygiene products and teaching Forest School. Walking in the nature, singing with friends and doing yoga are some of the other things she enjoys. Gonçalo is a nature lover with a passion for Permaculture and Natural Farming. Studied Organic Agronomy and has been practicing it since 2008, with the help of volunteers, interns and apprentices. He enjoys sharing and to make music with friends. Unfortunately in 2017 a massive fire went over this beautiful valley but our yurts didnt burn and all the animals survived, in the same year we were blessed with our first home-birth daughter Dana....

My goal as the principal of the school is to provide youth from my region with the English skills required to communicate better in the modern world, and therefore provide them with better opportunities ...

I live in one of the buildings on this sunny property which runs on rainwater harvesting. We avoid chlorine and contaminates by filtering, harmonizing, and energizing our own water though Ionisation. Water conservation is part of life for me. You can come to Maryborough via plane, bus or train. The Hervey Bay Airport is only 30min from my home. There are meanwhile several bus companies to choose from. If you use the train please book Maryborough town from the drop down menu. The shuttle bus from the train station in Maryborough west (20 min out of town) is free of charge if it is pre-booked.

We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina.

In your free time, you can walk in the forest and mountains, chill in the r...

We grow organic table grapes, a few fruit trees, chickens and a few pigs. This is a real farm experience, mostly working in the vineyard, with some fun too. There is biking to town, swimming in the ocean or our lake, fishing, basketball, volleyball, hiking, nature walks, beach strolling and look for fossils at Blue Beach, camp fires , rope swing in our little lake, take in the fantastic views, sunsets, star gazing, internet, phone and go to nearby towns such as Wolfville and Hantsport as well as the rest of the Annapolis Valley with the local bus. The accommodations and kitchen are separate for helpers cooking with an abundance of food. This is a more independent farm stay. Hope you can make it here.
