We are a small-scale, organic vegetable farm in Palmer, Alaska. We grow an array of beautiful produce which includes carrots, tomatoes, strawberries, zucchini, brussel sprouts, romanesco, broccoli, potatoes, rhubarb, onions, beets, and many more. All of the vegetables we sell at local farmers markets are grown by us and are free of pesticides, GMOs, and chemicals. I am an aquatic ecologist who has fortunately been working out of our coastal rain-forest property for 35 years. Driven by strong curiosity, I have recently been developing long-term data sets on the animal life in the forest that surrounds our home, plus on tropical marine fish that are steadily increasing in numbers under the influence of climate change at the nearby very beautiful Seal Rocks area (for details click on my website link below). Hello, I live 25 km from Picton in the Marlborough Sounds on the seaside. I am an artist and organic gardener. The views here are spectacular. I feed the bellbirds and Tuis on the deck. Here you are constantly surrounded by native bird song. And can walk and swim daily. Im an artist and I am a handweaver. When you stay I am happy to share these skills and teach you to use a loom. I have 3. You can use my wool or other materials to make yourself a small item. This takes most people about 1 week. Although some are very keen and do it fast! I also paint and draw so you might feel inspiered to join me with that. Bring your own sketchbook but I have some paints you can use - watercolours. There is an outside room with a double and a single bed in it and a composting toilet and a shower. There is also a caravan. Beautiful 30 acre lifestyle block situated 25 minutes North West from Central Auckland. The closest small town is just 2kms away, and we are centrally located to many local wineries, the closest being The Hunting Lodge which is 1km away. We are looking for motivated, practical people to help with painting, gardening, house cleaning and general outdoor activities. If you have experience with horses that would be a great advantage. We have many different animals, including horses, goats and sheep. We have 2 children, one is 15 and the other is 23.
