Come Spend Some Time in the Coromandel 🌿 We have beaches, we have forests, and we have a very casual relationship with clocks. We’re a couple in our 40s–50s looking for people to share our piece of wilderness with. We have two somewhat manic cats, but we ourselves are fairly chill. Over the years we’ve tried a wide range of hobbies and crafts, from home brewing and cheesemaking to glass blowing and hang gliding (some more current than others!). We enjoy meeting creative people and giving everything a go. We’ve travelled through Scandinavia and Asia and look forward to travelling again, but for now we travel vicariously through our visitors’ stories — and love helping you make the most of your adventures in New Zealand. Our property is 26 hectares of regenerating native bush, with a stream, waterfalls, swimming holes, glow worms, and plenty of space to explore. We’re close to Whitianga, Hot Water Beach, and Cathedral Cove, yet the home itself is tucked into the forest where you can ...

Hello, We are Jen and David and our tropical home and garden needs some work, We live walking distance to the beach and nature reserve in a quiet suburb. I’m a single mum with shared custody of a wonderful 13 year old daughter, plus a little dog, looking for someone to join us from now and ideally stay for 6 weeks (or even longer). I am self-employed in an import/export business, and have a large house and garden, the care of which get away from me without assistance. The help needed is with day-to-day housework, and gardening. It's not hard, but with a house the size of mine it's too much for a single person with a busy business. Someone who’s a bit handy and could undertake a few little fix-it jobs would be an added bonus. I work full-time, and in the weeks my daughter with me I sometimes need assistance to get her to her various activities, so a full driver's license is required (although I can provide a car). My elderly mum occasionally needs to be driven places as well - she's a fun lady who provides vibrant and lively conversation. Last (but not least) is our dog, Bobbie. She is a gentle and easy member of the household, but...

If you love wildlife, the outdoors, great views and good food, send us an email (only emails from this site will be responded to). This is very much a cultural exchange (for us and for you) as you will be in our family home sharing our lifestyle. NO SMOKERS OR VEGETARIANS PLEASE. We prefer our helpers to stay 2 weeks or more. Work outside is a major part of what we do so expect to be outside on a rural property as part of the experience. Please message us through this platform to allow us to view your profile The property is located 60km South of Brisbane and 20km West of the Gold Coast on the upper North slope of Mt Tamborine, 320m above sea level. We are surrounded by National Parks and abundant wildlife. The property is 6Ha with a sub-tropical climate and has great country views to the North up to 140km on a clear day. We also have a tennis court (I will always give preference to tennis players who love to cook and eat great food), an outdoor cob pizza oven, chooks/ducks, two Rh...

Hi there Traveler We offer a farm stay with great views and good conversation. We chopped down a pine forest and replanted with Manuka about 4 years ago so it’s starting to look really great, and more native birds are about. Established a wetland reserve as well. Also we are developing another small retreat area that needs assistance with tracks and tree management. Some stock work is all so on offer but we will work with you all the time as it’s safer and more fun. cheers and safe travels Geoff and Declan

We are looking for superstars to help us on our journey to renovating our home and landscaping our large property. We both work during the week, Shaun as a conservation engagement manger at a wildlife reserve, and Daf is a horse trainer, riding instructor and is heavily involved with ethical training and ownership of horses. We live in our relocated villa that we moved from Ashburton to its current location with our four dogs Ruby, Raffa, Ollie and Walter. Alongside our family of dogs we breed horses and have a flock of Brahma chickens. So what do we need help with? *Gardening and landscaping where our old home was so that we can create a space for a tiny home to be put. This requires pruning and spraying of cherry tree saplings, leveling of soil and lawn seed scattered. Clearing and trimming of plants to build a fence. *Weeding and planting around our home. This requires planting of natives alongside the 100's that have already been planted and weeding of pathways and small gardens...

This is a very healthy warm dry desert climate, where viruses do not thrive. At our farm here in the Coachella Valley, we grow 6 varieties of dates; Medjool, Barhi, Khadrawi, Khalas, Halawi & Zahidi. Tasks include irrigation, pruning, picking, fertilizing, pollination, clean-up, compost, trenching, house cleaning, road repair. We clean our soaking pools regularly and the farm could use the help of an electrician or skills with concrete, and also someone with adequate videography and editing skills and also automotive repair skills. The hot springs is located in a very remote setting in the Coachella Valley of the southern California desert about 2 hours and 30 minutes from Los Angeles, or 50 miles southeast of Palm Springs, just off highway 111, in the morning shadow of the Chocolate Mountains, overlooking the middle of the Salton Sea, with the warmest winter climate in the western U.S.A. Hi We are a couple with young son who live within the Shepherds Ground rural off grid village and farm community. The community is currently in its early stages (12years) with various hemp and sustainable houses under construction. As well as our day jobs we run a small garden around the house and are planting lots of natives while we finish our hemp house.. We can offer a warm, friendly and healthy environment with your own room to sleep in (full AC available so great in summer and winter). We have a kitchen where meals can be prepared from the veggies, eggs, honey, organic meat and produce from the property. You are asked to stay one week minimum and invited to stay for a few months if this suits everybody’s needs. The jobs will be various and will depend on time of year and our schedule: May include garden jobs, weeding, planting native trees, composting, light farm work and some deck building, de-nailing recycled wood for building and inside painting and wall rendering etc Some...

Room and simple breakfast of toast, tea or coffee, I can show you where to find free bread and there is generally some rice or pasta you can use, occasionally some fruit and vegetables, or other food included but not guaranteed. Ipswich is a lovely place in itself and is about an hours drive to Brisbane, about an hour to the Gold Coast, about an hour and a half to the Sunshine Coast or about an hour to the mountains in Toowoomba. Many visitors to Australia assume it will be hot here and in summer it is, in winter the temperature can be very cold. Make sure to pack some warm winter clothing if travelling in the winter months. I don't have fans or air conditioning so the temperature is what it is. It's hot in summer and cold in winter. Electricity has become too expensive for me to run heating or cooling appliances. I am not on a farm, it is a residential block in Ipswich. My house is small and cluttered and surrounded by trees. I need help to clean my home as I am always busy doing ...

Visit the Thames Coast on the beautiful Coromandel Peninsula! Enjoy home brew, home made breads and fresh fish.. Bush crash up the stream, swim at the beach across the road, come fishing with me on the kayaks. Take the bikes, pedal 2km to Waiomu; then tramp/jog to some beautiful Kauri (1/2 to 3/4hr). Do an overnighter at The Pinnacles Hut up the Kauranga Valley if yr into vast iconic views and like tramping (you need to book). If you have wheels you can do great day trips around the Peninsula. And if yr more chill, Thames has some great op-shops or hangout here and make art. Debs & I are happy boomers on the endless holiday, loving every second left ! However, we seriously need help with the massive task of 296: gardens to create & jungle to clear ! We are keen to host people who want to help, who are comfortable speaking English (or trying) and value simple routines and shared respect. # Welcome to Hilo Rojo – Volunteer in Peru Hilo Rojo is a non-profit organization founded in 2013 in the city of Trujillo, Peru. Our project was created after witnessing the inequalities affecting many children and families in our community, including limited access to quality education, school dropout, domestic violence, teenage pregnancy and poverty. Since then, we have been working to provide educational support, social assistance and new opportunities for children, teenagers and families living in vulnerable situations. We are located in **La Esperanza**, one of the largest and most disadvantaged districts of Trujillo. We chose to work here because we believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow and build a better future. Our goal is to provide a safe and welcoming environment where children can learn, develop their talents and gain confidence while being supported by people who believe in their potential. ## Why volunteer with us? We started our Vineyard back in 2004, it is located in a Beautiful, Quiet, Valley along the bluffs of the Mississippi River. We have five children that have now grown and moved out on there own. I just retired from a career of Process Instrument Work at the local power plant. I could use some help with the Vineyard and Gardens, but also enjoy fishing and boating on the river in the evenings and of course days off. We would be willing to supply your own bedroom ,great meals and WIFI. We also have two male Collies that love to get brushed and played with. The ideal person would have to be able to work on there own or in a small group, after some training of course to get you up to your comfort level, so as you basically understand what the goals might be for the time of year and tasks at hand, a five hour day ,if the weather permits, is what we usually work . There might be a few longer days, but I`m sure that having time off to check out the area won`t be any problem. If you would care...

We live in a fun share house 🏡 in Maryborough, Marry Poppins Town, with awesome meals 🍝, fireplace 🔥 and a big edible garden 🌾🌴🌳🌿. We're Mars, the owner of the property and former owner of multiple language schools and Tracy, a former theatre/restaurant owner who's cooking the most amazing meals and looking after everyone like a mum. There're 2 adorable dogs 🐕🦺🐕 in the family, so you must be a dog 🦮 lover. Also 6 chicken 🐓 and 2 ducks 🦆, so we always have fresh eggs 🪺. We need help with building and creating, and with an awesome edible garden. We're about to put 12v solar power into the rooms, also natural air-conditioning and are finishing up the spa bath in the 2nd bathroom... so there's a bit for you to learn and lots of knowledge to take home. We like to work with fun 🥳, laughter 😂, music 🎶 and love to see you letting a bit of your craziness out 🤪. Be yourself and join the family... We have had many awesome experiences with travellers so far 😃. Please no...

*** Looking for 1-2 girls to assist with with room presentation and gardening around the lodge during the 2026/27 season *** Hi there! We have a large modern house 70m from the beach in Anakiwa and 30 mins by road from Picton. There are kayaks here, excellent bush walks and a beautiful relaxed seaside environment. Our kiwi family regularly hosts young volunteers (wwoofers/helpers/interns) from our international visitors. As with family members, there are no formal contracts or payment, your input is fully voluntary and you are free to depart at any time. Volunteers normally help out for 3-4 hrs per day with the afternoons/evenings free to relax. Tasks are typically gardening, house cleaning, laundry, helping with meals (vegetarians welcome, but sorry we are not vegetarian!) and generally assisting around the property with misc ta...

At the moment there is lots of landscaping and finishing off a natural swimming pool If you feel like having a break from your travels for a while, and if this sounds like your thing, please get in touch. Kia Ora. I run an Angora goat farm just outside Oxford in North Canterbury. I have 180 very cute goats which I shear for fibre twice per year. I also farm sheep and cattle. I farm in a sustainable way and have been trialling some regenerative agricultural practices. I am looking for helpers starting from the end of August 2026 Jobs include farm work, gardening, housekeeping, servicing and cleaning my AirBnB and learning about our farming systems. You would have your own room and receive all your food in return for 4-5 hours work per day. Those are the typical Helpx conditions. There are usually other Helpxers at the farm and we work, eat and live as a family , sharing housework and cooking tasks. I look forward to welcoming you to the farm!

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) , please don't come if you have a heavy cold or flu, I'm involved with the elderly. Cheers Al

No pets but plenty of wild creatures about; deer, bighorn sheep, owls, hawks, bobcats, coyotes, ...

Cheers Al
