Our Ecovillage (established1999) is looking towards a creative and fun season of committed volunteers who wish to work within a collective project opportunity. We are working on the next 25yr Vision and with this are building a very large public art installation project (earthen/cob Dragon sculpture with lots of mosaic work!). Our 'regenerative living learning journey' forms the platform for the efforts we put towards making a difference in the world. We work within intercultural/intergenerational/interfaith/inter-nation restorative justice framework on our farm and work with research teams on soil/wastewater/energy systems design/etc, and permaculture education projects with learners from local to global! This means we are working with: the gardens, livestock/poultry, food forests, natural building (earthen, strawbale, plaster projects, finishing work, carpentry, etc), food preservation, yummy kitchen crafting for shared meals, mosaic and mural artwork, supporting Eco-tourism &...

Hello travellers! We’ve recently built a wonderfully energy efficient passive solar house, complete with off-grid solar for all our energy needs, rain water collection for all our water needs, and a worm farm waste management system for natural black and grey water processing. We’ve put a lot of work in to achieve a fossil-fuel-free, all-electric, household, with as small an environmental footprint as possible. We’re also lucky to live in a beautiful rural/coastal area near Inverloch, Victoria, approximately 1 hour 45 minutes south-east of Melbourne. We are close to some of Victoria’s most famous wildlife and wilderness attractions, including the Penguin Parade at Phillip Island, the Koala Conservation Reserve, and hiking and camping at Wilson’s Promontory (not to mention numerous local beaches and fishing spots only 10 minutes away!). With our house complete, we’re now working to progress the landscaping aspects of our project. We’d be very appreciative of a helping hand or two to ...

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) Cheers Al

Autonomy for everyone, especially for you and us at mealtime ... Resources are shared according to the availability of the moment. More possibilities if my children are not there, less if I have other guests ... fortuitous ... In the meantime we have no shortage of space in the garden to let you plant your tent or you lend a space... This is the minimum we can guarantee. A cabin is also available on the family sailboat ... Here too, there is work ... The room with double bed of the house is not often free for our helper sometimes the chance does things well, ask what you want, we are in French Polynesia climate is stable all year ;-) We will not ask for more than 2 or 3 hours of help a day in exchange we plan to lodge without food, although fruits from the garden are still part of the tradition of sharing the house... It's up to you to do your shopping and your dish washing and cleaning up after, the load will be in our situation not equitable otherwise.

This beautiful little organic orchard is on the Richmond Hills, a 5 min drive to Richmond and 15mins to Nelson. We are growing citrus, avocados, nuts and a variety of other fruit trees, catering for our small community as well as a large vege garden. We also have some sheep and chickens. The jobs will depend on the time of the year but include pruning, weeding, mulching, harvesting, etc. If you have any building skills could be very handy as there are always a few projects going. The accommodation is a cute tiny home in the orchard with a separate shower and (composting) toilet unit. It has a sleeping mezzanine with a queen bed. Also the downstairs couch is a single sofa bed. There is a small kitchen with fridge and cooking facilities. It is suitable for a single person or a couple. There is a carpark. No wifi included. Hi! We are Steve and Johanna, a couple who decided to buy a property with magical views and a shearing shed on the top of a mountain. This venue is very exposed and not for the faint-hearted in wild weather! But when the sun shines it's truly paradise. We converted the shearing shed into a home and have now been here 28 months. We have a small shed next to the house which contains a sleeping "capsule", complete with double bed, lights, mirror, clothes hanging space etc. We have installed a toilet with handbasin behind the garage which serves as a wee bathroom for visitors. There is always a project on the go and weeding and planting to do as well...send us a message or give us a call. If you like to explore, there are plenty of slopes to wander over, plus some beautiful NZ bush. We have 2 energetic Foxy/ Jack Russell puppies who roam and play and love attention. We love the interactions with our HelpX guests and the variety of people we host is stimulating and satisfying. Come enjoy...

Would like to learn and look after a vineyard, distillery and winery this season, no experience is necessary. Established in 1998 and hosting HELPXers for over 15 years, it is the only certified organic winery in the Perth region. It is situated in the Swan Valley, 7km from Elenbrook and 15km from the Perth airport. The vineyard has 3,000 vines, a large house we live in, a machinery shed, and a winery/distillery on the property. Winemaking occurs during the summer months from January to March. A large, spacious room with a double bed, attached to the house, has a private entrance. Applications for COUPLES or TWO people are open now. Opportunities for vineyard and maintenance work are available. Couples with Visitor visas are also welcome. I want (NON-smoking) volunteers who wish to experience distillery, vineyard, and winemaking work. During the season, there are generally outdoor activities, such as winery and vine work, plus gardening if it is not raining or too hot. Be prepa...

I would be very happy to welcome volunteer teachers who are willing to help at my school for two or three months, or even for a full semester. *I want the volunteers who work at my school to not feel like they are working. Instead, I want them to feel that they are enjoying themselves and having a holiday while staying with us. Their room is fully equipped with air conditioning, hot showers, and a spacious private room that is separate from the main house, so they can feel comfortable and relaxed during their stay.* My name is Edison I have a wife, her name is Nofi. I run a private English school for children between the ages of 7 and 19 in the small town of Batusangkar, West Sumatra. This is an exciting opportunity to have an experience that will stay with you throughout your life. Our Foundation aims at helping rural children receive a qualitative outstanding education. We have a volunteer teaching program to assist rural teachers and children get exposure to foreign languages and cultures. Because English is the second language in Thai schools, we concentrate on improving the English language skills of both rural teachers and children. At present, we aim to help 4 public elementary schools (grades 1 - 6) close to Chiang Mai. We are currently taking applications for volunteers who would available to start sometime between mid-May and the end of June and commit to at least 8 weeks . We are looking for volunteers to teach English only. Couples are welcome as well. NOTE: We do not charge volunteers any fees for staying with us. The generous gift of your time and dedication is all the donation we will ask of you. We provide the volunteers lodging and meals in ...

After 16 years, and hosting almost 100 HelpXers, at our property in Larnook, in the Northern Rivers region, Steve and I have moved to a new place in Tenterfield, at the northern end of the New England Tableland. All of our reviews up until September 2024, are related to our previous place. We are now ready to accept HelpXers at our new place. Steve and I are a gay couple and we offer a high quality experience (as you can see from our reviews) and so we expect our Helpers to pitch in and help. The more you put into your time here at Tenterfield, the more you will get out of it. We have lots of small work jobs at present including lots of weeding and gardening, mowing, establishing herb and vege gardens, pruning and cutting back and some other work. Our property is situated a few kilometers west of the town of Tenterfield, in a quiet, rural area. We usually expect around 4 hours per day of work in exchange for all meals, your own room, access to internet (for checking emails, looki...

We are offering travelers a warm, comfortable two-story Celery Top Pine Pole home we built ourself. You will enjoy magical views of the ocean and mountain and will wake to the sounds of the wild birds that flock to our food and water bowls. We are regularly visited by possums, wallaby's and various other wildlife. If you're lucky you may even see a Tasmanian Devil. We aspire to a sustainable way of living and adore our large established organic garden, which we are needing help with maintaining. We ask helpers to provide a minimum of 4.5 hrs of work each day for 5 days with two full days off. If you would like a day off after working a few days we ask you to make up the hours on other days. Some helpers also purchase their own food and only work 2.5 hours a day if this suits you better. We are also very flexible and happy to listen to your requests. My farm, located near Kaniva, is a commercial agricultural enterprise in the Wimmera region of western Victoria (midway between Melbourne and Adelaide). It has been owned by my family for more than 130 years. In 2006 I purchased the major portion of the productive land from the family Estate, and now annually crops nearly 425ha to spring wheat, barley, oats, field beans and canola. I am fully responsible for the management and on-going development of the farm, with a "share-farmer" undertaking many of the farm labour components. I do not have enough work to keep you busy long-term, but I certainly have enough for 3-5 days. The deal I am offering is that you help me with general farm chores (e.g. burning up heaps of branches, some fencing repairs, cleaning up branches under trees, caring for my lawns and garden, cutting up firewood, planting farm trees, etc) and I provide free meals and accommodation and a modest hourly payment. Depending on the day/weather we would work for 4-5 ho...

⭐️ About our project⭐️ We are a small community school located in Tnol Trong Village, just 13km away from Siem Reap, Cambodia. The school is a registered non-profit NGO, founded in February 2013 by my lovely family. Cambodia is seeing a strong growth in the tourism industry, which will provide an increasing number of employment opportunities in the future, especially for the children around the Siem Reap area and for a career in tourism, English is essential. That’s why our school has one clear goal: to give children from disadvantaged backgrounds free access to English and Chinese education, helping them gain a real chance to access future job opportunities. Our school currently offers FREE English lessons to nearly 180 children from the Bakong community. Many of the local families struggle with basic needs like food, water and health related costs, let alone getting the kids to attend class, afford mandatory school fees and uniforms. Education is often their only real chance to b...

I live on a rural property close to town and there is always plenty of work to be done and I could use a hand. I have lots of gardening or lawn mowing or cleaning. I would be asking for 2 hours per day for accommodation only. Other things to do include bird watching, crocodile watching. At last count we had 14 fresh water crocodiles. Bush walks. I do tend to do my own thing in the evenings so someone who is somewhat self sufficient would probably be the best fit The property is 20 minutes by car to Darwin so it is a good landing spot to explore Darwin further. For the right people I can offer a day excursion out to a cattle station to fish or ride around in a buggy and see some more of the territory or some other 4wd adventure. This would depend largely on my availability and what I am doing that weekend. Your own transport is better. There is a bus stop about 900m away but the service around Darwin is ok but not great I sometimes have paid work available as well.

Do you long to step away from the outside world for a while and immerse yourself in nature ? Then look no further as we are looking for helpers in our wee piece of Paradise at the moment ......... Our farm is 100 acres of deer-fenced land on the Otago Peninsula. The help we require is some basic garden maintenance, wood splitting, weed-eating etc. We are an animal besotted family with 2 horses, 2 cats, and 2 dogs (please NOTE we have retired drugs dogs so if you use even occasionally, whilst we are not judging you, please don't bother offering your services !). We need helpers who are energetic, honest, fun, caring, conscientious, can get on with jobs without requiring supervision and are not glued to a device - but saying that our wifi isn't and mobile signal is often patchy!!! Some equestrian knowledge would be good (but not necessary) as you will be helping with the daily care of the horses. We are a working farm, so sorry but no pets thanks. West Coast Canada Experience Purpose built oceanfront B&B with 3 private self-contained studio suites on the 2nd floor of our home which is on the first floor. Enjoy canoeing, kayaking, biking & hiking at our waterfront B&B. You'll have your own private room. If you have a valid drivers license, and are staying for at least 2 months you may use one of our cars. This requires a discussion, and is on a case by case basis. Cleaning rooms to our 5 star standard is the primary work. Limited gardening, yard work, helping around the B&B with all aspects of running a home-based business. Must be physically fit to do this. Crewing on our boat is optional if you like it - not everyone is comfortable being on the ocean. Here is what a typical summer day looks like: About 1/4 of our guests purchase breakfast. Come and get a real taste of Nu Zelan! Home brew, home made breads and fresh fish.. Bush crash up the stream, swim at the beach across the road, come fishing with me on the kayaks. Take the bikes, pedal 2km to Waiomu; then tramp/jog to some beautiful Kauri (1/2 to 3/4hr). Do an overnighter at The Pinnacles Hut up the Kauranga Valley if yr into vast iconic views and like tramping (you need to book). If you have wheels you can do great day trips around the Peninsula. And if yr more chill, Thames has some great op-shops. Debs & I are happy boomers on the endless holiday ! Loving every second left. However, we seriously need help with the massive task of #296: gardens to create&jungle to clear ! We are keen to host people who want to help, who are comfortable speaking English (or trying) and value simple routines and shared respect. When Debs & I started hosting in 2025 we moved to the sleepout making it possible to host helpers hopefully from different cultures in the house. The...

My husband Matthias and I, Johanna, came from Germany as backpackers in the 1980s. We met here in NZ, but our home language is German. We are a family with eight children, who we home-educated throughout their school years. Three of them are now married, and we have five grandchildren. Five of our now grown-up children are living at home - either still or again - our oldest son with his wife and 4 boys is living in our cottage, and another son with his wife and baby has moved into a smaller house on our property. A friend lives in our housetruck. So life is happening to the full! Sadly, my husband passed away in January 2024 after a short time of intense illness. We miss him much! Our lifestyle block is home to a gaggle of geese, a flock of domestic ducks, around 40 chickens, some sheep and sometimes a few young male goats, - and of course many wild birds, rabbits and the tiny creatures of fields, woods and duck-pond. An old apple, apricot and peach orchard and a young walnut grove ar...

We run a Casa Rural in an historic house and gardens dating back to 1492, in Andalucia in the south of Spain. It’s situated on a large estate which is run as a cooperative by the local village producing avocados and tropical fruits. The house is an hour from the city of Granada through a unspoilt mountain road and there is a daily bus. Otivar, the nearest village is 4km away and has the usual facilities, food shops, a bank, restaurants and bars. Almunecar, the nearest town is half an hour away on the coast. The area still retains the traditional rural ways of Spain but is becoming popular with foreigners too who are discovering its charms. We let the house for holidays and parties, special interest groups doing pilates, painting and cookery, and we are also a venue for weddings. We are in a beautiful scenic location, and the area is becoming popular with walkers, mountain bikers, hang-gliders and canyoning enthusiasts as we are near the Rio Verde. We are looking for a couple or t...

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , .

Located 12 minutes the pristine beach’...

Kevin, myself, our daughter Neve and our 2 dogs live on a farm 12 minutes from Busselton and 25 minutes from the beautiful Margaret River region. We run a small accommodation business consisting of 10 safari style tents and we raise Highland cattle, miniature donkeys, sheep, chickens and 3 horses. We are seeking helpers that are able to help out with the cleaning of our 10 eco tents, and general farm work. The tasks are done in the morning leaving the afternoons free to enjoy the beautiful region that we live in. In return we offer meals, accommodation in our share house on our property. If you enjoy nature, animals and the simple life then you'll love it here,,,, ,we have room from today ,,,,,,,
