We live on an alternative lifestyle block with "off grid", barn living. On the property we have a small organic banana farm which uses permaculture design principles and composted food waste from City to Farm — an initiative that gathers food scraps from urban areas and delivers them to nearby farms. We have horses, dogs, chickens, and graze cattle regeneratively. For accommodation we have a big barn space which can house a lot of people comfortably. Currently one young kiwi staying there. Where possible we grow and eat our own fruit and veges from our vege garden and our small grove of fruit trees. We also have 15 acres of regenerated native bush on our property which needs tending to. Our water is supplied from rain water, and a natural spring, and the property runs on solar. Meals will be vegetarian, happy to accommodate vegans as well! Most of your work will be in the bananas, but there will also be the opportunity to work with the animals, in the bush, in the vege garden/orchar...

STUNNING PLACE IN TASSIE! CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR HELPER(S) for start of September onwards, 3+ weeks, a fun project! Hello, it's Stephen and Philamae here. We have a beautiful rural property in Buckland, Tasmania (45mins NE from Hobart airport). The views are stunning - the accommodation is lovely and we are running it as holiday accommodation as we move towards turning it into a funky retreat space. The experience of the place - and Tasmania as a whole - is soul stirring. Lots of beautiful animals surround us - sheep, wallabies, possums, echidnas, bunnies and the occasional deer. A pair of the endangered and majestic wedge-tailed eagles live 1km away and often soar above us. Our website link below has a lot more photos of our place. We have a series of 7 wellness retreats running 5 June to end August: see our blog link below. The next specific needs are: a) start of September onwards for at least 4 weeks. Need a helper (or two) for housekeeping and also a big project to help sort;...

This is an exciting opportunity to have an experience that will stay with you throughout your life. Our Foundation aims at helping rural children receive a qualitative outstanding education. We have a volunteer teaching program to assist rural teachers and children get exposure to foreign languages and cultures. Because English is the second language in Thai schools, we concentrate on improving the English language skills of both rural teachers and children. At present, we aim to help 4 public elementary schools (grades 1 - 6) close to Chiang Mai. We are currently taking applications for volunteers who would available to start mid-November and commit to at least 8 weeks . We are looking for volunteers to teach English only. Couples are welcome as well. NOTE: We do not charge volunteers any fees for staying with us. The generous gift of your time and dedication is all the donation we will ask of you. We provide the volunteers lodging and meals in return for their generous servic...

Hello Helpers! I live on a small 5 acre lifestyle block, 48 km South of Auckland CBD, that is also home to one horse (Meg), two small inside dogs (Alfie and Lacey), a cat (Sylvie) and some free-range hens who happily provide eggs for our breakfast. I can offer short stays of approximately ONE WEEK only, for a single helper or a couple. Mature, practical-minded people with a few years life experience, a good work ethic and a good understanding of the English language are preferred. None of the jobs are difficult but you do need to be reasonably FIT and you need to be able to work independently. Non-smokers/non-vapers only please. I've had some amazing helpx helpers that have helped establish the kitchen gardens and some help is now needed on general gardens and landscaping. Depending on the time of the year, some of the tasks you may be asked to help with are: planting trees/shrubs, weeding and mulching garden beds, grubbing thistles, paddock weeds and brush-cutting (strimming/w...

The Humpback whale and mackeral season starts during July and we enjoy getting out and catching a feed of fish while watching the whales cruise by ..last season a couple of Wwoofers that stayed here awhile saw at least 50 whales over several trips during the winter ..some less then 10 metres from our boat.... From about late august we would particularly love to host one or 2 people to help out around the garden, plant nursery and farm/orchard....Gardening, carpentry, welding or physical labour skills are particularly helpful... Volunteers can use their time here to sign off for 7 days a week towards their 88 days 2nd or 3rd year visa sign off and we have helped many backpackers secure a second/third year visa as we are registered primary producers in the correct postcode (4854) for "disaster relief". Please make sure you let us know you are looking to get your visa days signed off so we can provide appropriate work from the cyclone recovery list...also be sure to answer the quest...

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) , please don't come if you have a heavy cold or flu, I'm involved with the elderly. Cheers Al

Currently looking for 1 or 2 helpers for 1 week between August 25 - September 17. I have a home and garden with a swimming pool in tropical Cairns. I rent the guest rooms out on Airbnb and swap the accomodation with helpers when they're staying. Jobs for helpers include - general garden tidy up (it's a tropical jungle so you need to be ok with bugs, ants etc), and inside and out house cleaning. Things like weeding, piling up all the big leaves and vines on the green waste pile, cleaning the roof and gutters, washing walls, windows, floors, cleaning the concrete and bricks outside with the high powered water pressure cleaner... possibly painting the fence with oil if it's dry enough... Wifi, amenities, coffee and tea included. I usually do not provide food as I work odd hours and have to eat a specific diet for health reasons, though am happy to share meals and swap for more help when it works best that way. I provide basics like sugar, oil, soap, linen, etc.. and lots of info about t...

Room and simple breakfast of toast, tea or coffee, I can show you where to find free bread and there is generally some rice or pasta you can use, occasionally some fruit and vegetables, or other food included but not guaranteed. Ipswich is a lovely place in itself and is about an hours drive to Brisbane, about an hour to the Gold Coast, about an hour and a half to the Sunshine Coast or about an hour to the mountains in Toowoomba. Many visitors to Australia assume it will be hot here and in summer it is, in winter the temperature can be very cold. Make sure to pack some warm winter clothing if travelling in the winter months. I don't have fans or air conditioning so the temperature is what it is. It's hot in summer and cold in winter. Electricity has become too expensive for me to run heating or cooling appliances. I am not on a farm, it is a residential block in Ipswich. My house is small and cluttered and surrounded by trees. I need help to clean my home as I am always busy doing ...

I live in the little picturesque hamlet of Stanley which is just a 10 minute drive from Historic Beechworth. North East Victoria. It’s approx 3&1/2 hours drive north of Melbourne. I need helpxers to provide assistance with lifting heavy items to remove clutter and take to the tip, also some cleaning, gardening, wood chopping and plastering. I am open to taking a couple and there is a self-contained cabin with a double loft bed. Although I’ve listed ‘accommodation only’, I will cook and provide some meals when I can. I would like to practice my beginner Italian language skills. I love being a HelpX host! It is so much fun to meet people from other places and other cultures. I have met some of the most wonderful people, some who are now life-long friends. Previously I lived in North Sydney, I then moved to Manly Beach. And now I’ve bought a house in the Victorian High Country.

We are a nonprofit horse rehabilitation center that offers education on equine care. We need hands on to help with projects we are working on to complete as well as facility maintenance. Would love to have some energetic people that want to make a difference in horses lives here. It’s about helping these animals go from neglect to finding a forever home or live their lives in Sanctuary. You don't have to have experience we can teach you. If working hands on with horses is not your thing and you admire them there's lots of things you can still do to help them prepare for homes or help at the facility. What we are not: We are not a riding stables. We give lessons when able after all chores completed and trainer is here on certain days and during certain times of the year. So if your intention is to spend lots of time "in the saddle" we don't do that here. We aren't a "working ranch" for people to ride horses all day and move cattle, ride trails, etc. We are not a fancy stables ie: ...

We have an automotive country workshop, which we have closed down to retire and now we are about to tidy up and empty our. 32 years of bits and pieces - and memories. But we still look after our little farm, some sheep and some rabbits. We are always in need of a couple of helpful hands to support us during this time of dismantling and clearing out. A mature, non-smoking, self-organized person or couple, preferable not a vegetarian, to give us a hand with house and workshop tidy up, would be the best fit. Our daily routine starts with a breakfast at around 7.30am and then we feed all the animals, especially the hungry dogs and work starts at 8.30am. We expect about 4 hours work per day and we offer a nice room with a lovely warm bed, great meals, and a reasonable amount of WiFi. Help with dishes is not regarded as work though! We do enjoy a beer or a wine after work, but we have a NO DRUGS policy. We integrate our helpers like a family member and mostly have only one or a couple...

We live in a lovely position with stunning views over Mangonui harbour in the far north. Sociable and energetic, we need some extra help with the chainsaw, splitting and stacking firewood, painting and spring cleaning the house. Well travelled with a little French, we love helpers who are cheerful and adaptable and who also like cooking. We ask for four hours' help per day each in exchange for breakfast, dinner and accom but we're flexible. We also like musicians! Our other residents are two small dogs, chooks and sheep. Helper accom is in a powered, freshly renovated retro caravan separate from the house. We are near a small historic township with lots of cafes, a pub, wharf and boutiques, with six good swimming, fishing and surfing beaches within 20 minutes. We like to take visitors fishing from our boat if the weather is fine. Our house is an ideal starting point to explore Cape Reinga and Ninety Mile Beach, less than an hour to Kerikeri and two hours to Whangarei. We don't mind swa...

We are a hybrid family with a 13-year-old daughter with us 50% of the time and 2 personality filled cats. We are looking for someone to join us in July for 4 weeks (or longer). The assistance needed is help around the house and to be home when Abigail gets home from school. As we are in school holidays until the end of July, there will be more time with Abigail. Abigail is a lovely girl (& no, it’s not just us who think so!) She loves reading, board and card games, baking, the trampoline... she's easy to have fun with. She enjoys our international helpers and has created many friendships; most stay in regular contact with us. Sometimes you are required to assist with getting Abigail to and from activities, so a full license is preferred. The overall help requested is a couple of hours per day, Monday to Friday. There is a bit of flexibility as to how these play out. We (Darryl and Theamarie) work fulltime so you would have the house to yourself during the days. Our cats, Nyx and Eros...

Fishing, snorkelling, and rainforest walks can help occupy your spare time. We are looking for reasonably good DIY handymen and women, capable of working effectively, when necessary, on your own or as a pair and, ideally, someone who also has some gardening experience, but that is not r...

We are originally a family of 6, I, Carina, my four daughters and my husband, Pär. Since last year all girls have, more or less, left home for further studies. My beloved Pär died 2018 after a long time with sickness. We started to welcome HelpXers to our Uddevalla home 2014 and since then we have met so many interesting, wonderful, helpful, caring and skilled people - men and women, boys and girls, who in different ways have helped us with various practical matters, but also contributed to increase our understanding of the world and letting us become their friends - in many cases, I believe, for life! I have promised Pär to keep and care for his old home in Grundsund and it is my hope to be able to. We have, therefore, two properties to welcome you to! We offer accommodation (your own room) in one of our two homes, food and friendship in exchange for some practical help. Both indoor and outdoor help is needed and you should be prepared to do some household work as well. Most help ...

Join Our Home in Walnut Creek: A Unique Opportunity for Connection and Support Hello! My name is Bruce, and I’m looking for a reliable, friendly person to assist me with everyday life while also forming a meaningful connection. About Me and Our Home I broke my neck at 18, resulting in lifelong use of a wheelchair. Despite this, I pursued multiple degrees and have built a fulfilling life with my wife, Kim. We live in a cozy three-bedroom home in Walnut Creek, just 28 miles east of San Francisco. Our household includes our service dog, Bennett, a future service dog in training (Dorothy, our third), and two cats, Edna and Scarlett. Your Role & Contribution While Kim is my full-time caregiver, I need help with tasks that offset my paralysis, including: - Household Tasks – Light cleaning, keeping the kitchen tidy, and helping with laundry. - Personal Assistance – Bringing me food, water, and other necessities I can’t manage on my own. - Driving & Companionship – Taking...

Welcome! Your choice: You can exchange two hours help a day for the room only, or you can work for 4 hours a day and we provide meals. We have a private spot close to town here, and are two friendly people, a little dog, and some chickens. Our quiet and green home is in easy and pleasant walking distance of Nelson city centre. Eva is a Homoeopath, Ian is an Engineer, we both love to sing, eat, and share good food, and have fun with friendly woofers.

Looking for anyone interested in helping on our 60ha/150 acre Certified Organic family farm. Accommodation is in an adjacent self-contained cottage so we can cater for small groups or couples. We are located 100 kms west of Cairns with buses from Cairns to Mareeba daily. On our farm we grow tea tree, limes, various vegetable crops and cattle. Work mainly includes, fruit picking (photo), packing (photo), mulching, weeding, gardening, propagating, livestock, fencing & irrigation repairs. . Fishing and boating days when we can get away. Visits to the Daintree and Reef (see photo) Our farm also offers plenty of space to relax exercise, walk, swim or fish in our very own large dam. ONLY Optus & Vodaphone reception so be prepared for limited connections and communication disruptions. Sorry NO Wi-Fi. We also have cows, calves (see photo), horses and dogs. Accommodation and food provided. Some shared family meals and homemade Pizza (see photo)
