Hi! We are well travelled family of three. Huyen & Michael are self -employed and working from home. We have a small Queenslander about 5km from the Brisbane City Centre. It is a very green and peaceful cul-de-sac. We love living here. However, the house & garden need constant maintenance, and we are struggling to keep on top of it. We have a space downstairs that is self-contained so we occasional host helpx. Our previous helpx loved the space. We are selective of who we invite to our home. You need to be willing to provide preferences & IDs. Carpenters, landscapers, handy persons are very welcomed to apply. We ask for about 3 hours of work a day in exchange for accommodation only. We can be flexible on when the work is done according to your needs. Look forward to hearing from you.

We have a really cool property right beside the Herbert forest and Waianakarua river. There are great mountain biking/walking/tramping tracks, swimming, and we are close to the beach and amazing places to explore. Oamaru - the Steampunk capital of the world - is only 20km away. We live very close to the Moeraki Boulders where penguins reside! We are looking for 1 or 2 people to come and help us on our lifestyle block. Being physically fit is a must as this will involve jobs like gardening, basic building and painting. We ask people to help for 4 hours per day and in exchange we offer unique, comfortable accommodation and meals. On a day to day basis we have jobs like brushcutting, weeding, care of our animals and other random jobs. We also provide an extensive list of amazing local places to explore on your days off or after a morning of work. We have 2 children, cows, a relaxed and lovely dog, and a few goats. We are easy going people with a positive outlook on life. We are a family...

Welcome to our family-run permaculture farm in the countryside of Bilecik, Türkiye. My name is Selçuk. I started this farm in 2008 after leaving my white-collar career to build a life closer to soil, animals, food, and nature. Today I live here with my wife, Julia, and together we share our daily life and farm activities with guests from different cultures. I have studied Culinary Arts, Agricultural Technologies, and Medicinal and Aromatic Plants. I also hold a Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC) and have training in holistic management. My main interests are animal systems, fermentation, food transformation, and practical permaculture. Real Rural Life Life here is simple and genuinely rural. We do not offer luxury or hotel-style comfort. You will experience the realities of countryside life: animals, soil, mud, changing weather, quiet nights, and days shaped by nature. Guests stay in a simple guest space on the farm. We provide three meals a day and usually eat together. Food ...

This is a Standardbred Race Horse (Harness Racing) farm at the foot of Tamborine Mountain. Located 45 minutes from Brisbane in the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland. The closest train station is Beenleigh. Your own car is a plus. We welcome working holiday visa holders with good horse experience and most importantly a passion for horses !! In order to learn your daily task, routine and horses personalities, we will ask you to stay a minimum of 3 weeks. Long stays are really welcome. Your role on the farm would be helping with the daily care of our racehorses. It's an everyday job starting depending of the sun (4.30am in summer and later on winter time). We start each morning training the horses, washing them and feeding them. All the retired horses need to be feed and watered as well. We need to feed and water all the horses again each night before dark. The ideal helpers will be positive, willing and with a some decent english. Our farm is in the mountains of Lares, a rural region in the center of the Caribbean Island of Puerto Rico. A town well known for the rebellion insurgency called "El Grito de Lares", also well known for the coffee plantations and the culinary festivities. Lares has great rivers, beautiful sceneries and nice climate. In this great countryside we manage an agricultural, educational and community project, Proyecto Agroecológico Campesino/PAC. Our mission has been to produce food in a sustainable way, facilitate a practical learning farm for students and share knowledge with the community. For this we work in the transformation of two acres, in an integral farm where combines crop production, animal husbandry, resource management, restoration of soil and ecosystems, inspired by the agroecological principles. We invite you to join us on our every day activities to build a sustainable farm and to share knowledge and experiences. The accommodation includes a private room with kitchen, bat...

{Currently have a helper with us} We have a 1.4 hectare (4-acre) lifestyle block (mini-farm) close to the Hamilton city boundary. Our location is great for day trips to Raglan, Hamilton Gardens, and Hobbiton. For helpers without their own car, there is a bus stop about 15-minutes walk from our house, we might be available to help with a ride to the bus stop, and we drive into town a couple days as week as well. We have horses, goats, chickens, dogs, cats, a rabbit and a pet bird. We are establishing gardens, growing food, following permaculture and organic practices. There is always a wide variety of tasks to suit any helper/s, and the task timeframes are very flexible for weather and sightseeing. Outdoors there is usually some weeding to be done, other garden tasks, maintenance and improvements. Dream projects include building a small greenhouse out of recycled ranchsliders and building some small bridges over the drains. In winter, waterproof footwear is recommended. In summer mont...

- Space available from 28th August onwards. **Please note that we ask that all enquiries include a proposed arrival and departure date, we also usually arrange a quick video call to confirm volunteers have sufficient English to communicate with other staff and customers** We are a busy, free-hold pub with brewery and gin distillery in a small village beside the sea in North Devon. We serve real ales, home-made food, and run regular music nights, games night and discussion groups. We are busy with holiday-makers and residents alike, and the pub is an important part of the community here. Depending on the length of stay and time of year, volunteers might find themselves helping with general maintenance, cleaning and organising or assisting in the kitchen- helping service run smoothly during lunchtime and evening sessions. Kitchen work is mainly washing dishes and helping keep things tidy during service, carrying food to tables, etc. The nature and duration of the work varies dependin...

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) , please don't come if you have a heavy cold or flu, I'm involved with the elderly. Cheers Al

My name is Victor and I have been teaching English to young people from my community for 8 years. I have a small school in downtown Tehuantepec near the market, banks, restaurants, and the tropical forest full of coconuts, bananas, and mangoes. Tehuantepec is located 20 minutes from the ocean beach community, Salina Cruz. I am located only a five minutes taxi ride from the local bus station. I am looking for one person at a time to come and work with my students, which includes conversing with my students and teaching if you are able to. My students need more practice talking to people who speak fluent and clear english. I ask for five or six hours a day working with my students and in return I offer a place for you to sleep and one meal a day and a tour around the city to show you my local culture. You can stay for a minimum one week and a maximum of two weeks, but we can make a deal if it works out and you want to stay longer I have lived here all my life and can introduce you...

Hi! We are Aga and Gaia, and we're welcoming people into our home in a small mountain village in Northern Italy. If you're looking for a meaningful exchange, a slower rhythm of life, and a chance to spend time close to nature, we'd love to hear from you. Aga is a psychotherapist and retreat facilitator and lover of all things soulful and meaningful. Gaia has a background in regenerative design, permaculture, and conscious events. Between us, we have spent many years involved in community, ecological, and transformational projects around the world. We live in a small ancient village in the Apennine mountains of Northern Italy, where we are now creating a simple and beautiful life close to nature. While we are nurturing a longer-term vision of a regenerative Temple Village rooted in connection, creativity, and conscious living, what we are offering today is much more personal: a chance to share our home, our daily life, and this early stage of the journey of building a community. Life...

Hello. I’m Paolo, a recently retired musician. I live in a mountain area made of rounded, wooded peaks in the inland of the Italian Riviera, at the point of connection between two regions, Tuscany and Liguria, widely renown for art towns (Pisa, Lucca, Florence among others) and picturesque fishing villages. It’s a quiet setting to get away from it all, with a 360 degree view stretching for tens of miles and right down to the Mediterranean Sea, only 25 km/15 miles away. Here is where the Alta Via (High Route of the Ligurian Mountains) starts, a long-distance waymarked hiking trail for nature lovers. I speak Italian (native), English (fluent) and French (fluent). I’m looking for volunteers who are self-motivated and good with their hands, willing to help me with general maintenance around my property in exchange for food and lodging in a friendly environment. I appreciate a baggage of life experience that is not too small, so volunteers in their mid to late twenties at least and in t...

Lost in the middle of 14 000 ha of forest, we developed and run a small eco campsite with lots of projects for enthusiastic volunteers. Being volunteers ourselves for a few years around the world, we're also happy to host. Christophe is chef cuisine by profession and he also got experience in eco construction (working in this field for a few years). He has two boys (12 and 14 years old) who live part time with us. Liz joined Christophe in 2021. She is a social worker, Chinese energetic therapist and artist. In 2012, Christophe created this friendly eco campsite in a beautiful spot in the Vosges forest. It's created for nature lovers who want to stay in home-made huts or tents. Stunning scenery, friendly and relaxing atmosphere, originality, home-made, permaculture, conviviality are just a few key-words... PARTICULARITY for helpers who want to learn by doing : If you stay minimum one month and have few basic using tools : development of low tech technology project (We choose tog...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. PLEASE NOTE WELL: we absolutely cannot host anyone with any pre-existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions), such as hay fever, any other allergies, sensitivities or intolerances. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our do...

We are a cultural and arts community that is working towards being self-sustained. The community is situated in the mountains of Monchique, Portugal surrounded by nature. Our community provides an alternative way of living with permaculture gardens, farm animals, sustainability projects, and arts and cultural workshops. It is a great place to come to meet other like-minded people if you are passionate about sustainability and alternative living. We hold community meetings throughout the week alongside activities and workshops, such as quiz nights, dance nights and yoga classes. If you have something you are passionate about and want to share with others, we would love for you to run a workshop. One of the best things here is the variety of tasks you can do as a volunteer, which gives you the opportunity to learn new skills and discover what you enjoy doing most. We have a combination of short-term and long-term volunteers and on average we have between 10 to 20 volunteers and resident...

I'm looking for enthusiastic volunteers to share some time with me on my peaceful 10-acre organic rainforest hobby farm in Far North Queensland. This is about companionship, sharing everyday life, and enjoying the experience of hobby farm life together. It's just me and my two Australian Terriers, and I'm looking for someone who enjoys good conversation, shared meals, and being part of the day-to-day experience rather than simply working a few hours and then disappearing. I was away from the property for around 18 months, so the farm has become quite overgrown and needs some love and attention to bring it back to the way it used to be. There will be plenty of projects to work on together, including gardening, mulching trees, clearing and tidying areas, organising the shed, and helping bring the property back to life. Some of the tropical fruit trees are now starting to reward the effort, with my jackfruit and rollinia trees producing their first fruit, which is exciting to be pa...

NB - just in case you don't get to the end of the profile - we are vegetarian (mostly) - and we don't take picky eaters. - or smokers. We are terracing a steep section (with an amazing view), developing a fernery and planting out an orchard and native hedges. There are fantails and keruru in abundance. Though the development is sometimes hard work, it`s creative and fun. We are getting there but we could do with a bit of help from strong fit people whose knees can handle walking up and down a steep garden - usually with a load on.. We also have work repairing and painting garden furniture. We prefer hosting a couple or 2 friends who are keen gardeners - or have carpentry or brick laying skills - to help with garden maintenance. We also have a couple of hard-landscaping projects involving path construction and maintenance. Ideally, we would like people who are able to work with minimal supervision, who take pride in their work and want to do a job well, who are self-motivated, have ...

We have a beautiful 6 hectare property in a really awesome valley. We have animals, a stream, lots of things growing. We have a large 3 bedroom house. We have a warm modern caravan for helpers to sleep in and all the other amenities are in the house. We have 3 awesome kids (only two live at home) and a great family vibe. We need help with working the land and making it as productive as we can. We need people who are hard working and take initiative. Prior experience is great but if you are a fast learner and up for a challenge then that is great too. A love of animals is definitely helpful as well. Projects include - gardening, building, organising, helping with animals, help around the house, fencing, tree planting and more. Cheers Regan and Lisa

Our farm is in a remote and magical scenic area of the outer Marlborough Sounds. We have a number of cattle and their calves, hens, our dog Trixie, our cat Elmo, 2 friendly pet sheep, Ivan and Mavis. There are always interesting things that need attending to on the farm and in our vegetable garden. We have many areas of garden and regenerating native bush. Plenty of variety on the projects. We have good beaches and nice walks. Your own transport is the easiest or there is a passenger service from Rai Valley Village. Check out our website if you need public transport and you can message us anytime. GENERAL INFORMATION We grow most of our own vegetables. We make compost and use animal manures as fertilisers. We live on an alternative lifestyle block with "off grid", barn living. On the property we have a small organic banana farm which uses permaculture design principles and composted food waste from City to Farm — an initiative that gathers food scraps from urban areas and delivers them to nearby farms. We have horses, dogs, chickens, and graze cattle regeneratively. For accommodation we have a big barn space which can house a lot of people comfortably. Currently one young kiwi staying there. Where possible we grow and eat our own fruit and veges from our vege garden and our small grove of fruit trees. We also have 15 acres of regenerated native bush on our property which needs tending to. Our water is supplied from rain water, and a natural spring, and the property runs on solar. Most of your work will be in the bananas, but there will also be the opportunity to work with the animals, in the bush, in the vege garden/orchard, with the compost, etc. — it depends on what needs doing and w...

Hello, my name is Florent, I'm 45 years old, I was a chef for about twenty years, and since 2017 I've been a spirulina producer. Spirulina is a microalga that's very rich in nutrients. It's a very environmentally friendly crop, requiring little energy and no pesticides. Spirulina needs sun and warmth to grow. The harvest season in our region runs from April to October, and it's during this period that I'm interested in hosting someone (I don't need two people at the same time, one is enough). Normally, I already have people helping me until the end of august, so I'm looking for someone from beginning of september. I mainly need someone to help me harvest the spirulina but also sometimes to help me out on the farm with various tasks, as we do everything ourselves: cleaning, labeling, packaging, general maintenance and odd jobs, and also everything else that goes along with the spirulina production: clearing brush, chopping wood, going to markets from time to time, house constructi...

This is an exciting opportunity to have an experience that will stay with you throughout your life. Our Foundation aims at helping rural children receive a qualitative outstanding education. Food ...

Because it’s a 30 hec property and there is always some...

You will help us with the care to the animals (feeding, cleaning animals and their shelters), and fence installation because not all of our land is fenced yet. We also need help to cu...

Hello! Happy to host helpers for the autumn 2026 season, from about early September for one month - welcome to Matsumoto! Mostly it's morning cleaning of our hostel and rental apartment - some days busy, some days more relaxed. Are you ready for a beautiful time in the mountains? Enjoy the famous castle and mountains around us. Come and enjoy the cleaner air of the mountains. All of the local mountains are easy to access and there are many cultural activities in Matsumoto city. We are a small independent hostel located in the base city for the Japanese Alps. We also have a small apartment near the famous National Treasure castle. Matsumoto city is a little university city with a chilled-out cosmopolitan student vibe. Delighted if you could volunteer for three weeks or more. Matsumoto is a great base from which to explore lots of history and beautiful nature. We, Shuko from Japan and Brian from Ireland run the hostel like a big family home - which the building was before we foun...

With winter we action a great progressive project to plant and regenerate areas with hundreds of native trees. Creating windbreaks, animal shelter, and native bird habitat. Come and join in on a creative and rewarding project. We generally work 4-5 hours a day. We have clean and ...

We have a volunteer teaching program to assist rural teachers and children get exposure to foreign languages and cultures. Because English is the second language in Thai schools, we concentrate on improving the English language skills of both rural teachers and children. At present, we aim to help 4 public elementary schools (grades 1 - 6) close to Chiang Mai. We are currently taking applications for volunteers who would available to start mid-November and commit to at least 8 weeks . We are looking for volunteers to teach English only. Couples are welcome as well. NOTE: We do not charge volunteers any fees for staying with us. The generous gift of your time and dedication is all the donation we will ask of you. We provide the volunteers lodging and meals in return for their generous servic...
