We live in a fun share house in Maryborough, Marry Poppins Town, with awesome meals and a big edible garden. We're Mars, the owner of the property and Tracy, a former theatre/restaurant owner who's cooking the most awesome meals and looking after everyone like a mum. There're 2 adorable dogs in the family, so you must be a dog lover. We need help with building and creating, and with an awesome but overgrown garden. In addition, we're about to put 12v solar power into the rooms, also natural air-conditioning and are finishing up the spa bath in the 2nd bathroom... so there's a bit for you to learn and lots of knowledge to take home. We have had awesome experiences with travellers so far 😃. Maryborough is only 30 minutes away from Hervey Bay with beautiful beaches overlooking Frazer Island. Maryborough is a beautiful old heritage town with a lot of old buildings and parks all around. We're just a few metres away from the Mary River, at a quite place and only 1.5 km from town. There'...

We are a group of friends who decided three years ago to restore a beautiful old village/motel in Jindabyne. We are looking for like minded individuals who are passionate about restoration/building and maintenance, love nature and have a good nature and willing to share a laugh over some good food. We have hosted people from all around the world, including all over Europe, Asia, North and South America. The motel is a 5-minute drive from local amenities such as supermarkets, shops, pubs, and a skate park. From June to September there are plenty of winter activities including skiing, tobogganing, and snowboarding at nearby ski resorts, just 30 minutes away. In summer, there are plenty of hikes, mountain biking, fishing, as well as the beach at Jindabyne Lake, Blue Lake and we are 30 minutes from the tallest mountain in Australia- Mount Koscioscko. Yarrangobilly Caves and nearby thermal pools are about one hour away. Our beautiful site features a serene river, where you can go...

One thing I can advise helpers who want to get a placement with any host is to have at least one PICTURE of YOURSELF. Just as you like to "see" who and where you are coming, hosts like to see who they are opening their home to. It's winter now, so we won't be working outside. I need someone right away to help with small handyman jobs or selling online eg: eBay, marketplace etc. Knowledge of Carpentry and Plumbing are always appreciated. Car mechanics are always helpful. I would really appreciate someone who can do handyman jobs and wants to come for a week or two. I sell things online and on eBay and would love someone who is good at writing descriptions in English. I have a large house and property in a diverse area of Staten Island, New York that I`m always working on. I plant a vegetable garden in the spring using the square foot gardening method. A friend and I rebuilt the whole house on the inside including jacking it up and replacing the foundation, sills and beams so ther...

We have a property located within walking distance of Fremantle centre near the river , grocery stores and public transport as well as a local coffee strip. You would have the whole house self-contained with kitchen and bathroom. The helping exchange arrangement would be helping with repairs, landscaping, painting etc. Fremantle cottage is on quarry st if you want to check location. It would be useful if you have had some experience with painting and renovation as we are trying to bring a property in for a sale this year. it would suit someone who would like some peace and quiet because it lacks entertainment facilities such as stereos and TVs at the moment. Sorry, we don’t really provide long term bookings for people who are working. We do know of opportunities for those looking for this and are happy to assist. 2 hours a day would be fine and although food is not provided shopping is handy.

I am a retired secondary school teacher and I love gardening, singing and playing guitar, hiking, presenting on community radio and travelling. I live in a lovely historic cottage on a large block with a permanent creek a few minutes walk from the centre of Willunga in South Australia. Willunga is a small country town in a wine growing region and is famous for its cafes and Saturday morning Farmers Market. My home is about 45 mins south of Adelaide and a short drive to the beach. I can provide a room within my house for one or two people and delicious vegetarian meals in exchange for working with me on improving my organic garden. I prefer helpers that wish to stay for a few days up to one week. If you are interested in staying please email your phone number and I will contact you. ps I have a dog.

I can't see the world, but the world can come see me. First and foremost, I want to thank all the helpers who came from United Kingdom-England, France, Belgium, Italy, China, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. Welcome Helpers. We are a family of 5 living in the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia. Sue is the founder of Peaceful Hollow. Her daughter Ruth moved to the Hollow later as well as her husband Tim and their 2 daughters. Our hollow is quite with no neighbors in sight. Also, there is a private guestroom with private entrance on the second floor above the workshop/cabin combination. . We have a lot you can be involved in, knowledge to share, friendships to build, and opportunities for growth. Below are our routines and some projects. We would love to involve you! - Caring for our chickens, cats, dogs, one registered ...

Kia Ora, I am an older person, ex Primary School/ ESOL/ Drama teacher and Events Organiser. I have a two bedroom cottage with a small garden on the flat, in a historic, friendly, alternative area. The area is quiet, green and home to many native birds and has a number of bush walks and bike trails. The street has a electric vehicle charging station. My house is located in the fringe suburb of Aro Valley in Central Wellington. The house is an easy 15-20 min walk to the CBD or a 10min bus ride. As well, it is a 10 min walk to the Aro shops, which contains cafes, a bar and a restaurant, Mini Mart and a shop where you can purchase fish n chips/ takeaways, plus there are a variety of other stores. I am well travelled and very much enjoy the company of people from cultures other than my own. I have previously hosted homestay students from China and Japan via the local university. Hello! Happy to host helpers for the spring 2026 season, from early February (now!) to March. Also from April onwards - welcome to Matsumoto! Mostly it's morning cleaning of our hostel and rental apartment - some days busy, some days more relaxed. Are you ready for a beautiful time in the mountains? Enjoy the famous castle and mountains around us. Come and enjoy the cleaner air of the mountains. All of the local mountains are easy to access and there are many cultural activities in Matsumoto city. We are a small independent hostel located in the base city for the Japanese Alps. We also have a small apartment near the famous National Treasure castle. Matsumoto city is a little university city with a chilled-out cosmopolitan student vibe. Delighted if you could volunteer for three weeks or more. Matsumoto is a great base from which to explore lots of history and beautiful nature. We, Shuko from Japan and Brian from Ireland run the hostel like a big family home - which the buildin...

West Coast Canada Experience - position open starting June, 2026 - preference given to longer stay helpers Purpose built oceanfront B&B with 3 private self-contained studio suites on the 2nd floor of our home which is on the first floor. Enjoy canoeing, kayaking, biking & hiking at our waterfront B&B. You'll have your own private room. If you have a valid drivers license, and are staying for at least 2 months you may use one of our cars. This requires a discussion, and is on a case by case basis. Cleaning rooms to our 5 star standard is the primary work. Limited gardening, yard work, helping around the B&B with all aspects of running a home-based business. Must be physically fit to do this. Crewing on our boat is optional if you like it - not everyone is comfortable being on the ocean. Here is what a typical summer day looks like: About 1/4 of our guests purchase breakfast. Updated: 31st January 2026 Hi we are an easy going multicultural small family of three. My pregnant wife and I plus a 4 year old. We also have 2 boarders (japanese and Peruvian) and my wife's sister (HongKonger) staying with us. Sister is away for a month and she has been filling the role of the extra hand that we need. We love Wholistic health, Swimming, Fishing, Bush walking, Bike riding and Camping. We don't get to do it as much as we used to because i am still doing some natural health protocols as I have recently recovered from cancer. Sometimes we have a camp fire/ bbq in the back yard (winter time). Our House has a large block with pets, organic gardens and we are having a go at aquaponics. We love to share our local life style and happy to meet new people and listen to others adventures too:) We are looking for one person primarily to help out with the weekly chores: help keep the house clean, Make juice, wash veggies (special process), feed the animals (Cat, and Chooks)....

Our family of six lives on a small farm near Christchurch and we aim to grow as much of our own food as we can. We have cattle, sheep, chickens, ducks and fruit trees and are planting berries and vegetables. In the winter or during cold weather we cook on a wood range which heats our house and hot water. At the moment we have plenty of chickens to look after and are hoping to plant some autumn vegetables. Current projects are: Firewood for winter Sowing vegetables Mulching around fruit trees Pruning willow trees Accommodation is a spacious cabin with a double bedroom, kitchenette and ensuite bathroom. Would suit a couple or two friends travelling together who don’t mind sharing the queen bed. The cabin has a fridge/freezer, kettle, microwave and toaster in the kitchenette. The work is 4 hours help per day or 8 hours every second day for 5 days of the week. It is best if you have your own transport as we are not on any public transport route. Living in Kyoto, Japan, we are a warm and welcoming family of three who enjoy sharing daily life with people from different cultures. We are looking for a volunteer who would like to join our family. Our hope is for our 6-year-old son to learn English and explore the world through fun, natural conversations and play. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with children and can be like a big sister to him, caring for him with kindness and respect. He is very energetic and loves to talk. If you enjoy playing Minecraft or Mario Kart on the Nintendo Switch, you’ll quickly become good friends with him. We are looking for help with playing with our son and light household tasks. Although I haven’t used this platform since registering, I have hosted many volunteers through another platform. We are still in good contact with them and we maintain positive relationships. We sincerely hope this stay will be relaxing, enjoyable, and a meaningful cultural exchange for ever...

I have an opening for a volunteer person to help me with everyday life of looking after animals and some gardening& weeding & basic maintenance of the farm and some house duties in north Qld. I can only accommodate one person. This is a great opportunity to get away from the city life and enjoy some country living. I have cats horses and chickens. You may even have some riding lessons if you are keen to experience this. Meals and accommodation are supplied. Accommodation is a little caravan close by the house, which has a mini art gallery. ( if you like painting or doing craft things I can give you some lessons) Prefer 1 month stay, but shorter stays like 2 weeks are ok too. Would like to learn and look after a vineyard, distillery and winery this season, no experience is necessary. Established in 1998 and hosting HELPXers for over 15 years, it is the only certified organic winery in the Perth region. It is situated in the Swan Valley, 7km from Elenbrook and 15km from the Perth airport. The vineyard has 3,000 vines, a large house we live in, a machinery shed, and a winery/distillery on the property. Winemaking occurs during the summer months from January to March. A large, spacious room has a double bed attached to the house with a private entrance. Applications for COUPLES or TWO people are open now. Opportunities for summer vineyard and winemaking work are available now, starting in January 2026. Couples with Visitor visas are also welcome. I want (NON-smoking) volunteers who wish to experience distillery, vineyard, and winemaking work. Looking for assistance NOW and from late March through summer 26. We moved north from Vancouver to escape the noise and the craziness and to find a spot to live in beauty. We found one and now are on the edge of nothing but more nothing all 400 km to the Pacific. We are 20 km outside of a small town halfway between nowhere and not much. Sharing that is a pleasure. Nearly everything we do now is in support of one thrill: adventures in food. But rural living out here in mid-nowhere means that there are endless other things to be tasked as well: construction, gardening, maintenance of many sorts, enhancing the natural beauty around us. Chances are that if you could describe a pure-fun, physical job, there would be something here I could offer that might satisfy those urges. If you want to work hard, eat marvelous meals and have a fabulous time in the gardens, the workshop and the kitchen, come join us and get a relaxing feel of rural life. PLUS, for all you thrill seekers/amateurs des s...

Come and get a real taste of Nu Zelan! Home brew, home made breads and fresh fish; fruit/veg etc. Swim at the beach across the road, go fishing or take out the kayaks (experience and wearher dependent). Take the bike and pedal 2km to Waiomu; then tramp/jog to some beautiful Kauri. Do an overnighter to The Pinnacles Hut up the Kauranga Valley if yr into the vast iconic view and like tramping (you need to book). If you have wheels you can do great day trips around the Peninsula. And if yr more chill, Thames has some great op-shops. Debs & I are happy boomers on the endless holiday ! Loving every second left. However, as we move into the dotage we need help with the massive task of #296, so we are keen to have people who want to help, who are comfortable speaking English (or trying) and value simple routines and shared respect. Country life creating a home on a lifestyle property in the popular Heathcote wine growing region of rural Central Victoria. House is made of mud bricks, and we need some help adding finishing touches and outdoor jobs before we can move onto the next exciting projects. During certain times of the year there maybe opportunities to learn about and experience winegrowing and winemaking. Also, my father now in his 80's recently had a knee replacement and would like extra help with day to day activities and day trips fishing to nursery’s for his gardening and more. He has a small grove of fruit trees to be pruned, harvested and preserved at different time of the year. The property has an array native wildlife and plants to see too. We are happy to host short visits or longer stays.

Kia ora everyone, we are Tesh & Dave, the owners of this place since January 2022. We have a peaceful lifestyle block of 10 acres just 8 minutes drive from the amazing little surf town of Whaingaroa, Raglan. Our property has two fully self-contained glamping tents set up for Airbnb guests, and a self-contained cottage (where HelpX guests stay). The cottage has a queen size bed, its own bathroom & small kitchen. It also has WiFi and aircon. Tesh's parents live on the property too in a separate house, and our 3D printing business Reformation Studios is also located here. Our vision is to transform this 'farmy' style block into a beautifully landscaped forest of native trees, cherry blossom trees, gardens, and orchards for our guests and family to enjoy. We are currently busy planting trees and doing lots of projects around the property. Sustainability is a priority for us. We have alpacas, ducks and a very friendly, energetic dog (Iroh, a springer spaniel). It is essential that any HelpX...

Kia Ora, I am a Kiwi who is Dutch by origin. I live in the beautiful Heathcote Valley, with a view over town and the hills right behind my house. There are many walking tracks in the hills, and the Port of Lyttelton is only 7 minutes away, with many options to explore. I have a modern house and large garden. I have enjoyed having HelpX-ers before who were “passed on” by friends, as the helpers only had two days left and the hosts were starting their holidays. I have 2 spare bedrooms, one single, and one for a couple, with your own toilet and shower, (shared if both rooms are used.) I would like some help to simplify my garden: especially mulch a grassy area to decrease the lawn! I would also love it if you can do some cooking, or (only if all else fails , e.g. it rains a lot) do some “spring cleaning”, or small painting jobs inside. I enjoy meeting new people, and I did a year of a similar exchanges to HelpX in France in 2011. I am still in contact with some of the people I met! I don...

Please check our availability first and read all that we have written :) Well-established Permaculture property with orchard, garden and animal systems located ten minutes from Noosa and seven minutes from (famous) Eumundi Markets. (But public transport VERY poor in this area - see note below) so your own car is a big plus! Dave is a past Permaculture Teacher and therefore only interested in working with people keen to increase their knowledge of Permaculture systems/Self sufficiency. We are a laid-back but hard working couple who enjoy the "good life" in all its simplicity. We practice regenerative agriculture (using our chickens) and focus on cover crops as well as adding micro-organisms to our soil. We are looking for a single person or happy couple, with practical skills and a focus on wanting to grow their own food/becoming self-sufficient, to assist with gardening, recycling nutrients by pruning then chipping by Dave and spreading mulch, DIY tasks, brushcutting and improvemen...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. Kia ora Helpxers, please take the time to read our whole profile to find out whether we'll be a good match. UPDATE: We're now looking for someone to spend several weeks or even months with us (au pair or exchange student style perhaps?) to extend our family as big sibling to the 11yo and help in the household, as Tina is away on weekdays. No requests for (much) under a month, please. We're a family of four (44,43,14,11) and our dog (7), living just outside of Christchurch in a lovely village (West Melton) on a good sized section with lots of greenery in a nice and warm house. During the week Till is working (computer stuff) from home or in Christchurch, Tina is at Uni (speech and language therapy) and the kids are in school. They both go to karate class twice a week and love to draw and just play and enjoy life. We all love to cook and eat (reasonably healthy). Tina and Till are keen theatre-goers and also recently discovered Salsa and other Latin dances (still beginners) for them....

Hello ! We are on a 3 acre lifestyle block, with 3 heads of cattle, a dog and a cat. (and a very neglected vegetable garden ) We also operate a mechanical workshop on our property. To stay with us you need to know that I live mostly alone at the moment as the children have left home by now, so I can't provide the "family feel' at present. If you are ok with that, then this might be for you. I'm looking for one or two persons who are happy to help me with some serious weeding tasks, house cleaning and perhaps some interior and exterior painting. It be greatly appreciated if you are happy to prepare some meals too. I can teach you how to make a beautiful, healthy bread if interested. At the moment I'm also looking for a suitable person to wash our beautiful, gentle Labrador dog 2-3x per week due to his skin irritation. He truly is a good natured dog, that need a bit of attention. I am interested in hearing from suitable single female helpers that are able to stay around 3-4 weeks and can assist with care and maintenance of my sailing catamaran and home. My preference for female helpers is largely to do with the type of work you will perform and attention to detail that is required. When I have work that is better suited to males I will advertise as such….just not needed now. Currently I'm cruising and hanging around Great Keppel island and Lady Musgrave island and reef sas weather permits. I have no schedule at present but there will be plenty of places to visit and or options to board from. I need to be on the Gold coast for mid March for a week and then we sail north to Whitsundays and further. You will be an active, motivated person interested in marine life, reefs, turtles, fishing, snorkeling and the ocean as well as wanting to experience life on a comfortable sailing boat. We live in a fun share house in Maryborough, Marry Poppins Town, with awesome meals and a big edible garden. We're Mars, the owner of the property and Tracy, a former theatre/restaurant owner who's cooking the most awesome meals and looking after everyone like a mum.

Our family of six lives on a small farm near Christchurch and we aim to grow as much of our own food as we can. We have cattle, sheep, chickens, ducks and fruit trees and are planting berries and vegetables. In the winter or during cold weather we cook on a wood range which heats our house and hot water.

We live in a slightly isolated quiet area being 80km from the nearest big town & the coast( and the beautiful beaches of Bowen in the Whitsundays !😊) but do live in a small town where we have 2 supermarkets, post office , hardware shop, chemist, hotels, swimming pool, so our little town has most things that yo...

During the season, there are generally outdoor activities, such as winery and vine work, plus gardening if it is...

I don...

During the week Till is working (computer stuff) from home or in Christchurch, Tina is at Uni (speech and language therapy) and the kids are in school. They both go to karate class twice a week and love to draw and just play and enjoy life. We all love to cook and eat (reasonably healthy).
