Hard to begin because our world seems upside down or torn to shreds while community like us work to expand love, beauty, peace and joy. If you want to visit Maine consider this an invitation. I've been a host on this platform in California for 2 decades until my house burned down. The engagement I present is different though. I'm not building or fixing anything, just living on a homestead so this offer will exchange a private bedroom in a shared house for $300 a month. You must have a vehicle to live here and a parking space is provided. I have a dog and cat and could request care if I decide to go away and the conditions are right. The $300 fee covers utilities, internet and communal supplies for the kitchen and laundry.

Hi beautiful people! I’m Christine, a happy spirited former language and arts teacher working across two continents. Since I retired I work in the natural health field. I live on an urban block called The Roo‘s Pouch, where I maintain a sustainable vegetable garden and created a community of nice people living with me. I live in one of the buildings on this sunny property which runs on rainwater harvesting. We avoid chlorine and contaminates by filtering, harmonizing, and energizing our own water though Ionisation. Water conservation is part of life for me. You can come to Maryborough via plane, bus or train. The Hervey Bay Airport is only 30min from my home. There are meanwhile several bus companies to choose from. If you use the train please book Maryborough town from the drop down menu. The shuttle bus from the train station in Maryborough west (20 min out of town) is free of charge if it is pre-booked. As international travelers you qualify for a concession card on Queensland tr...

Originally from France and Germany, we are living in Canada since 1990 where we raised our 4 children who are now adults living their lives :) We moved to this marvelous region in September 2025 and just bought an old heritage house which was abandoned since over 20 years! We don't live in the house yet (living in a tiny house on a farm 1km from there), but plan to move in for the winter. The bathroom is already ready to use, but the bedrooms and the kitchen aren’t ready yet. So, for right now, we are looking for helpers willing to camp (pitch a tent in our yard or sleeping in your van or camping inside the house 😉). The spot is a little bit outside of the scenic village of St-Germain, with view on the St-Lawrence River and 3km from the beach. We definitively need help with the restoration work: helping Michel on the roof with traditional roofing techniques, helping Hildegund inside with painting, sanding and oiling the floors,... or even outside preparing the garden and orchard. M...

This is a traditional family-owned farm which, after years of abandonment, is currently being re-imagined as a sustainable and environmentally-conscious community. Located just 3km from the beach, where the Pampa plain meets the rugged coastline of the Argentinian Atlantic. We are passionate about agriculture, surfing, music, travel, nature and the environment, who want to create a communal space where people from around the world can come to learn about sustainable living and ecological ideals; share delicious organic food from the gardens; surf; tell stories; share knowledge, ideas, culture and language; learn about farming, the environment, or just relax and enjoy the farm and surrounds. The project is in its early stages and we are looking for energetic and responsible individuals wanting to experience and contribute to rural life and communal living close to nature. We are looking for self-motivated individuals to help us out with daily tasks such as helping in the kitchen, kee...

Room and simple breakfast of toast, tea or coffee, I can show you where to find free bread and there is generally some rice or pasta you can use, occasionally some fruit and vegetables, or other food included but not guaranteed. I have a minimum stay of 2 weeks and a maximum stay of 3 months. Ipswich is a lovely place in itself and is about an hours drive to Brisbane, about an hour to the Gold Coast, about an hour and a half to the Sunshine Coast or about an hour to the mountains in Toowoomba. Many visitors to Australia assume it will be hot here and in summer it is, in winter the temperature can be very cold. Make sure to pack some warm winter clothing if travelling in the winter months. I don't have fans or air conditioning so the temperature is what it is. It's hot in summer and cold in winter. Electricity has become too expensive for me to run heating or cooling appliances. I am not on a farm, it is a residential block in Ipswich. My house is small and cluttered and surrounded...

We have been living on our property in the heart of Gascony for two years. Our family also includes 3 dogs and 6 chickens that we rescued. We are looking for a single person or couple who enjoys helping out, whether in the garden or with renovations (painting walls, laying parquet flooring, tidying up, etc.). We need help 3 hours per day. My husband and I are vegan/vegetarian. We provide the renovated holiday home. The property also features a pond and a natural swimming pool. Anyone who loves nature will appreciate our peaceful retreat. The nearest small town is a 10-minute drive away. Many events take place in the region during spring, summer and autumn. There is no public transport nearby. However, the hiking trail is right outside the door.

We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week. Our preference is for a single person or couple who have some skil...

Hello, I am looking for some help with gardening and house maintenance, preferably someone with a bit of gardening know-how to help control (in a wild way) a medium size garden Also help with dog walking and possibly pet sitting for short periods. Bit of strimming and mowing, and some weeding. Renovation of window frames and painting when weather allows. Trying to grow veg as much as possible, but not easy up here.(lots of rabbits and deer) Indoors --- well could do with a bit of organizing! Also some help with the bigger cleaning jobs, like the vast windows! I am living in the middle of Dartmoor National Park which is a great place for walking and scenery, and one of the last remaining wilderness areas in England. Person with organisational skills and sense of humour and who loves the great outdoors and the quiet would be ideal. One lovely dog and cat in the house, and the occasional guest. Please note, due to financial constraints I cannot accommodate long term helpers

G`day guys & girls . If you want Some good Aussie hospitality, come and stay with us. The volunteer work here counts for the 88 days for your visa as this area was subject to big flooding. We are living on a 200 hectare farm in Rollands Plains. Located on the mid north coast, surrounded by hills and valleys, great for bushwalking and exploring if that's what you`re into. We are predominantly an arable farm growing a large amount of garlic. Seasonally, we also grow egg plant, rhubarb, ginger, turmeric, pumpkin, yukon, artichoke, cucumber and corn, and whatever else we can put in the ground. All of our grown produce is certified organic. Hello :) We are a small German family (Jens 55, Doreen 47 and Sam 8) who emigrated to Norway many years ago. We live on a farm here and now have 43 sheep. We need some help with tasks like cleaning out the stable and feeding them. In addition, there are always several tasks to be done on a farm, such as repairing or building fences, felling trees, sawing wood with a chainsaw or cross-cut saw, preparing winter wood and, if necessary, gardening work such as pulling weeds. You'll be staying in a camper van/caravan parked right next to our house. You'll be able to enter the house at any time and use the bathroom and our kitchen. The camper van, of course, has electricity and Wi-Fi. :)

We live in a nature sanctuary on Corfu island in Greece. we are a COMMUNITY of PLANTS, ANIMALS AND HUMAN BEINGS, who try to live together IN THE SPIRIT OF NATURE. we are organized similar to a zen monastery. yet we are not affiliated to any religious body, but to the holy body of our mother earth. the earth takes care of us. the earth gives to us what we need. she gives us and she for-gives us – she never asks for money… we admire the communities in nature (ecosystems), where all members balance their needs and gifts in a healthy way, without money, without machines and without chemicals. here in NATURE’S SANCTUARY we try to live in harmony with nature. we try to support and protect all our nature brothers and sisters, who share this sanctuary with us… it is a CHALLENGE TO LIVE IN HARMONY WITH NATURE. it is a challenge to protect and support all nature beings in a way, that they have the chance to live in their own natural born communities. we are looking for people, who want to take...

We have a double bedroom in the house and in the summer the barn is a lovely place to sleep. I have been there all summer, too hot in the house. I have two passions living with nature to create balance and food. And art of which nature plays a huge part. I am an artist and have a studio to play in. Lots of garden work and food processing . I am converting a caravan into the shower and a van into an outdoor kitchen. Come and help me with my adventure. I am re-developing my home to become a retreat where you can to start you relation with nature or renew it. The area has been allowed/left to grow and is now ready to sculpt into a peaceful, abundant, safe space to dive into the earth and all its knowledge. I have four goats to help with the clearing. There is some building work or woodwork I need help with and I would like to make the shed more usable, so plaster boarding to be done later, it is my studio and pool/play room etc.🤗

My name is Paul. About 17 years ago I had this slightly crazy dream of changing my life from being an office worker to becoming an alpaca farmer in the Swedish countryside. Somehow, 17 years later, here we are :) Norrängens is our 100-acre farm just outside Sala, about an hour from Stockholm. We have around 70 alpacas, plus llamas, peacocks, hens, rabbits, a turkey, my cat Sexy, the kids’ cat Vernon and Malta, our farm dog. I have three children, Liam (22), Dylan (13) and Oscar (10). Liam has grown up and moved away from home. Dylan and Oscar live between me and their mum, although sometimes they seem to spend more time here :) When they’re here they’re part of farm life and help out when they can. This is our home and our little family as well as being a farm. Things are quite different here from a few years ago. We used to run a much bigger and busier tourism operation. These days things are smaller and quieter. The economy has been a bit of a struggle, if I’m honest, and this y...

October is available From October onwards we are open to either short or longer stay requests. We could have a trial week or fortnight before committing to a long stay. Also we would like to arrange help for next year MARCH and April, this would involve strimming (rechargeable, metal blade Stihl, with mask etc) and for an experienced strimmer we could add some paid hours on top of the full board and bedroom. PLEASE no supporters of mass starvation and military actions against civilians... No climate change deniers ... We definitely would not get on!!! (to be clear it is not that we require long or even ANY conversations on these topics, it is that it would be against our principles to be gaining any kind of advantage by hosting people who were so strongly misaligned with our ethics). Please note a cat and a dog here, so not suitable for allergies to dog and cat. A minimum stay of 2 weeks please. We really need a 2 week stay having people come and go is tiring... and it does t...

We are looking for two people for 5 days this week and could pick you up from Auckland on Sunday 13th and have you until Friday18th. Most of your jobs will be weeding and gardening, shifting firewood and general tidying up and weedeating this week. We are also looking for someone with building and practical experience with building or fencing, building steps, planting/gardening and who enjoy physical, mostly outdoor work. Our jobs require practical experience, or willingness to learn - gardening, cleaning, spraying, weed-eating, washing the house, windows etc. We don't currently have airbnb guests so you would get to stay in the luxury airbnb unless we get a booking, then you would either sleep in a sofa bed in the cabin or if you prefer your van and just use our shared spaces. We love hosting travelers and enjoy also getting jobs done on our list. With having 10 acres to care for, there is always something to do. Ideally you would have a vehicle as we do live rurally. Need helpers for mid to end September. In return for 4 hours help a day I offer you accommodation and all meals in a sunny, warm home where you will have your own bedroom (queen size bed) and own bathroom with the added privacy of being in a separate wing of my house. My sunny home sits atop a hill from which you will have a magnificent view of the township of Blenheim to Cook Strait and the hills of the North Island beyond. Of course if you would prefer to work a full day in order to have a day off in which you could explore the nearby Marlborough Sounds, cycle the wine trails, or walk or climb on any of the formed tracks in this area, that would be just fine. My 40 ha property is a sheep/beef farm most of which is leased. I tend a large garden and care for the drive and tracks, drainage and irrigation and deal with fallen trees. It is help with this work I require.. Therefore most of the work is outdoor, constantly varied, not difficult, with some indoors work on occasions. Th...

Hello, i would be happy for help. There is a lot to do on this place, mostly in the garden. Technical help, e.g. installation of solar panel, building a greenhouse, renovation of an old cattle house would also be needed. A carpenter and a bricklayer would be also great. We are vegetarian ! :-) We are a couple in our best age, and are here since 5 years. We want to build a small place for meditation and Qi Gong here. We want this to become a place for living and coming together. We would be happy to meet you.

In 2005, my husband Terje and I, became the proud owners of this place and we spent the next 15 years renovating the property. Today we offer short-term accommodation in this historical building. Guests come to visit from all over the world. They come to Odda and the Hardanger area to experience and explore our unique landscape with glaziers, fjords, mountains, waterfalls, valleys and lakes. Hiking to Trolltunga is undoubtedly the most popular of the tourist attractions offered here in Odda. Other less famous attractions are just as breath-taking. We are a family of seven, with four daughters and a foster son, but our three eldest daughters have recently moved out to work and study. We would be most grateful if you would like to come and live with us, and help us with the housekeeping; cleaning, change of bedlinen, reception work, payments, as well as maintenance, carpentry, painting, gardening, childcare, pet care, and other activities like going fishing and having fun. DO YOU LOVE ❤️ OYSTERS? 🦪🦪🦪🦪🦪🥂 If the answer is YES come and work with us tomorrow SUNDAY 13th September at Adventure Bay Bruny Island. Fantastic weather. Work for 3-4 hours then we are having an amazing oyster dinner tomorrow night. You can stay with us tomorrow night at our holiday house with water views. Or you can just come for the day and catch the last ferry home after dinner. The option might exist to stay longer but that’s by special request as you’d be alone & would need a car. Unlimited oysters to eat ! We don’t always offer this but definitely tomorrow. This would suit singles, couples or a group of friends wanting a short but fun adventure. BRUNY ISLAND has BEACHES, FORESTS, BIRDS, NATURE, and so much more. We are located at Adventure Bay on the South of the island which is roughly a 90 minute journey from Hobart. The first ferry to Bruny island is 6.50am, then every 30 minutes after no bookings required. The LAST ferry back to Hobart is 7.15pm If you stay ...

We hope you can join us. Currently looking for keen and energetic people who can join us in making our piece of Paradise even better while you have a memorable lifetime experience that will enrich your life. We love sharing who we are and what we have to inspire others to thrive on the land while working with and amongst nature. We have two rooms exclusively for HelpX guests; one room with a double bed, the other with a bunk bed. You have your own bathroom and toilet. We also have our delightful Avan; a compact caravan that has a double bed and a single bed for those who want to live more out amongst nature. Hobbits are "little people" with big hearts and big bare feet firmly connected with mother earth. They habitually live "under the radar" of some PC embellished society and try all their best to not succumb to the madness of it. Claiming their birth right to nature's abundance, love, beauty and endless creativity they naturally make up to and make do with the lack of gold caused by the greedy child-eating dragon behind the bare stone mountains.. Hi, my name is Marianne. I live on a classic New Zealand all-day sunny "tree quarter acre of hobbit shire" looking down to Oamaru. If you arrive early enough at my kitchen window or even up on the jungle hill behind the cottage, you can see the sea and watch the sunrise. A 10 minute stroll down Eden Street gets you either to the CBD or to the shoreline. I am providing three basic meals per day as well as a comfortable and quiet room for your stay and to relax after our daily four hours of working together "out there", somewhere on some befitt...

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON. Need help with a garden clean up, at the moment. You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one rough headed(inside and out 🤣,) skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town. It is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay, 2 hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around.

We are a cultural and arts community that is working towards being self-sustained. The community is situated in the mountains of Monchique, Portugal surrounded by nature. Our community provides an alternative way of living with permaculture gardens, farm animals, sustainability projects, and arts and cultural workshops. It is a great place to come to meet other like-minded people if you are passionate about sustainability and alternative living. We hold community meetings throughout the week alongside activities and workshops, such as quiz nights, dance nights and yoga classes.

We wi...

We want to show you how to be comfortable in nature; to re-learn how to be a part of nature rather than apart from nature. We have two rooms exclusively for HelpX guests; one room with a double bed, the other with a bunk bed. You have your own bathroom and toilet. We also have our delightful Avan; a compact caravan that has a double bed and a single bed for those who want to live more out amongst nature. We have a range of projects on offer, depending upon our needs at the time and your enthusiasm, skill set, interests and desire to learn new things. Some of the options include building our bushfire resilience and working on maintaining and invigorating ou...

There is a mountain on my ...
