Namaste! Thank you for stopping by. :-) I hope you will join me on my journey for a month, 2 months, or long-term. I have a pair of picturesque, riverfront hobby farms, each with a large 4-bedroom house. I am transitioning the farms to more of a communal space. There are three acres of wild blueberries that I am currently converingt to organic production, six acres of pasture, and about eight acres of woods that provide more than enough firewood to heat both homes without having to clear-cut any areas. I have a small herd of alpacas and an even smaller flock of chickens, whom I allow to free range. We harvest a small portion of our food from the property, and my vision is to increase that slowly and steadily every year. For a long-term (and possibly lifetime) stay, I would particularly interested in these 3 individuals: 1. Someone to manage the livestock, including monthly shots for the alpacas 2. Someone to process and market the alpaca fibre 3. Someone to manage the little antiq...

Large property on Banks Peninsula. Sleep out. Separate shower and toilet. Garden maintenance -4 hours /day for full room and board. Do have WiFi but limited. Am isolated in the country. Local transport to Little River but then I have to pick you up or take you down. I am a single retired Doctor of Chiropractic. Enjoy cooking or learning more about it. Extremely flexible as far as when and what gets done, as long as it does get done. Prefer single man, who enjoys his own company, the countryside and doesn't mind pulling weeds or can use gardening appliances etc. If you have your own transport, then close to city.

Dear Friendly People, My name is Böbe and I'm a Dutch and English speaking Hungarian teacher. I moved from Hungary to Spain with my 2 dogs and 5 cats on the 23rd May, 2025. Forever. Come and experience life on a working cattle, seed and hay property. We run 300 head of cattle on our 560 Ha home farm, set in a beautiful valley. Join in with us as we work around the property, including tasks such as mustering, stock work in the cattle yards, fencing and machinery and vehicle maintenance. Come and see what we do with the seed and hay we grow. You might like to have a go at cleaning and bagging grass seed or coming along for the drive when we deliver hay. We rely on 4WD motor bikes and tractors for many tasks and may take the time to train you how to use these safely. Apart from experiencing farm life, we look for help in our garden and vegetable garden, as well as odd jobs in and around the house. We take care to work with safety in mind at all times and take the time to explain safety to our guests. Travel insurance is recommended. We milk 70 cows, and 400 goats and work about 400 acres. Now that I have full time staff doing the majority of the milking and barn work, the work is mostly in the workshop and the fields and we have more time for recreation. We always have an interesting project on the go so I particularly enjoy hosting helpers with engineering or mechanical backgrounds.. I enjoy inventing things and automation, with a well equipped (though somewhat disorganized) workshop. Have a barn renovation and equipment installation coming up, so give me a shout if you’re a carpenter or mechanic! Have been hosting engineering students for their internship abroad the last few summers, has been a great experience, they are always welcome. About me (Josef), I was born in Switzerland and am fluent in Swiss German, I am learning Spanish and have a very limited understanding of French. I have travelled a bit myself, doing two harvest tours in the western united states and Canada. I worked around Australia when I...

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to routburn and greenstone tracks.you will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. ,a bit isolated, not for the precious,no trophy hunters !! .please don`t apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only.we do not get involved with internships or visa applications.vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers ! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar ( badly ) and sing ( worse ) ,but it's all about smile not style :-) Cheers Al

(La description en français se trouve plus bas !) We are a small Buddhist community living in the forest close to Sainte-Julienne, Quebec. We have an organic fruit tree nursery, along with many other projects on our land: several fruit orchards, chickens and bees, growing our own vegetables and herbs and trying to be independent in many ways. The six people who are staying are: Ajan, Eric, Veronique, Elisabeth, Natalie and Camille. Each of us have arrived here one by one, at first just interested in helping out in the place, and then as we found that this lifestyle was for us, deciding to stay for longer. For part of the year we also have a couple of employees staying with us. There is also a wonderful dog named Dali. Our organic nursery and garden occupies a land of 9 hectares, surrounded by forest. As well as the main land of the nursery, we have another smaller land where a few of us live. This is, in fact, where the community started to grow from very small beginnings in the ear...

Thanks to all our helpers over the previous 15 years. This summer we'd love some help for outside projects....eg. mostly gardening and yardwork . After 4 hours of help in the morning, you have the rest of the day free to play .... hike, climb, explore, relax, work on your own independent projects, etc. Driver's license and your own vehicle would be helpful. 2 people preferred. WiFi, relaxed atmosphere. Quadra Island is a small piece of paradise; see our previous helpers’ comments. If you are interested in experiencing some laid-back island living, please get in touch and we can discuss more details. We look forward to hearing from you! Thanks!

We run a boutique dairy farm, milking a small herd of much loved cows and selling raw milk to our wonderful customers Starting a new business is hard work and not for the faint-hearted. If you consider yourself up for the challenge of helping us, we'd love to hear from you! We offer a family environment with opportunities for farm work, housework, gardening and cooking. There is a wide variety of work available. Working with the animals of course, weed control, plus fencing work, painting, carpentry, building and lots of different small tasks to complete. If outdoor work doesn't appeal, help in the house with cooking and cleaning is always appreciated, and the large and previously neglected garden also requires a lot of work. Hi everyone, We are a busy farming family based in South Taranaki, milking 440 cows and sharing our farm with a bunch of chickens. We met 10 years ago, when I was travelling New Zealand as a backpacker, and we've loved hosting travelers ever since. We have three boys who adore the outdoors. Life here is active and relaxed- you'll often find us outside riding motorbikes on the farm, heading out for walks, or exploring the area with the kids on their bikes. We're really looking forward to welcoming travelers again, hearing your stories, and giving our boys the chance to meet people from different cultures. At the moment, we'd appreciate help with jobs such as weed spraying on the farm and getting the gardens sorted. You'll be staying in a spacious 6 bedroom home with unlimited wifi and you'll have your own private bedroom with bathroom. There is loads to see and do around us- we're just 10 minutes from town and the beach, Tawhiti museum is nearby and the mountain tracks are about 40...

We are looking for a female helper who can help us for 4 hours/day from 16 February for 5-7 days. We will provide 3 meals, a room with a Queen bed, unlimited wifi and a friendly home. The main task is weeding around vegetable beds, rice plots, fruit trees, native trees and a fence line using a sickle. We might ask you to do cleaning and cooking etc. We usually ask helpers to work 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the evening to avoid the hottest time of the day. I am from Japan, married a kiwi and have been living in NZ for 20+ years. We are one of the few 'backyard rice growers' in New Zealand. Nathan was born in South Island, is an architect and had taught English in Taiwan for 1.5 years. Our daughter is 11 year old and bubbly. We have 5 chickens on a 1ha section. We are mainly vegetarians, quiet and enjoy meeting like-minded people who care about the people and the planet. Our 3 bedroom 2 bathroom house was built in 2022. It has won an award as one of the most sustainable...

WE ARE LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS FROM AUGUST 2026 TO END OF OCTOBER 2026. We are a family of four and have small farm at the coast of the Baltic sea close to Oskarshamn. The farmhouse is more than a hundred years old and is located just a few meters away from a lake, which we can use exclusively for fishing, swimming and anything else. A good work-life-balance is very important for us, and this is also what we have in mind for our helpers. It's not only working here, we also want to show our helpers the laid back Swedish lifestyle here at the Eastern coast. Both sides should feel that they did benefit from your stay at our place. Hein: I was born in the north of Germany, and my profession as a carpenter has a very important role in the realization of our dream life.

We milk 70 cows, and 400 goats and work about 400 acres. Now that I have full time staff doing the majority of the milking and barn work, the work is mostly in the workshop and the fields and we have more time for recreation. Hi, We are Buster & Pauline. We have hosted many helpx from all around the world. We love to impart knowledge about NZ and our local area. We also love to hear about where you are from, and where your travels have taken you. We operate the only oyster farm in the Whangarei Harbour. Our farm is fairly small and is situated on the mud flats at the beach below our property. If you would like a 'different' type of farming experience, then come and stay with us. All appropriate gear for going out on the oyster farm will be provided. 24 hours work per week in return for comfortable accommodation, with a stunning view, awesome meals, (we do eat alot of meat based meals.

Thanks!
