We have been fully vaccinated and will welcome helpers who have also been fully vaccinated. My niece and I have a scenic country home on two acres with spectacular views of rolling hills. There are excellent hiking and biking trails nearby, and beaches of Lake Simcoe are only 20 minutes away by car, one hour by bike. We will be happy to drive you there. Two bicycles and high speed WiFi is available. We have two dogs and two cats. We are located one hour north of Toronto - accessible by Go Transit to Newmarket, where we will pick you up. On your days off, we will gladly take you to Newmarket to catch the train/bus to Toronto. We can do the cooking but are happy to share the cooking, and will welcome any specialties you may have. We do not cook vegan or gluten free. If you are vegan or gluten free, then you should probably look for a different host. Also please note that this is also a no smoking, no vaping and no drugs home, and that you must have medical insurance for Canada, ...

I can't see the world, but the world can come see me. First and foremost, I want to thank all the helpers who came from United Kingdom-England, France, Belgium, Italy, China, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. Welcome Helpers. We are a family of 5 living in the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia. Sue is the founder of Peaceful Hollow. Her daughter Ruth moved to the Hollow later as well as her husband Tim and their 2 daughters. Our hollow is quite with no neighbors in sight. There are no city lights, and you can see every star on a clear night! Our homestead consists of Sue's workshop/cabin, Tim & Ruth's cabin and one very small guest cabin. Also, there is a private guestroom with private entrance on the second floor above the workshop/cabin combination. . We have a lot you can be involved in, knowledge to share, friendships to build, and opportunities for growth. Below are our routines and some projects. We would love to involve you! - Caring for our honey bees, chickens,...

2.25 acre Homestead on private road with Mountain View’s, remote yet close to shopping within 15minutes. Hot springs nearby, 20minutes to Idaho border, Bear Lake and plenty of hiking or mountain opportunities. Need help with animals-pair of Nigerian dwarf goats, about 40 chickens, 1 duck, 1 turkey, pair of French guineas, and a dove that has adopted me. Would also like help with the land,—-grass, organizing barn and greenhouse and if time permits making some raised beds out of ferrocement.

PERTH Looking for single or couple to stay in Quinns Rocks from 26 June to 15th of July I’ll be away during this period although my housemate will be home (25 year old friendly guy) The house is a few hundred metres from the beach, around 30 minutes north of Perth, with a bus stop right outside and easy access to public transport. In exchange for accommodation, I’m looking for around 2 hours of help per day. The main job is looking after my Chihuahua, Chip. He weighs only 2kg and is very easy to care for. He needs feeding, being let out for the toilet, and keeping an eye on him to make sure he doesn’t escape. He’s very affectionate and enjoys sleeping on the bed if you’re comfortable with that. Other jobs include: ● General spring cleaning ● Cleaning and polishing a boat ● Rust-proofing a boat trailer ● Organising parts of the shed and garage ● Other jobs around the house The house is a large modern home and you will mostly have it to yourself. The dates are fairly fixed as ...

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . Located 12 minutes the pristine beach’...

Our wonderful helpers from Argentina & France have left to go to a winter job in the snowfields. They loved it here, so we are now seeking some new helpers as there is still plenty to do in the garden over winter. ENJOY THE FREEDOM & BEAUTY OF SOUTH GIPPSLAND. Property is a botanic garden of Australian native plants, many rare or endangered, plus an acre of plants for cut flowers, mainly proteas, banksias and tea trees. Lots of wildlife. We need help with weeding, mowing, mulching, planting and general clean up as the property is too big for the two of us to maintain. Accommodation is very comfortable, private, with fully set up kitchen in a studio style cottage with a queen size bed and smart TV. Recently installed a new electric oven with airfry function. Has split system heating and cooling. It is separate from the main house. It was a very popular AirBnB destination but we have decided not to do it anymore as it is too much extra work. The property is rural; half way between Wontha...

We are a gay couple who run a rural retreat-style guesthouse about 20 minutes drive inland from Torre Del Mar / Velez-Málaga in the south of Spain. In summer (late May to mid October) we take long-term volunteer "interns" to help with the general running of the guesthouse. We're looking for friendly, flexible Helpers who'll become part of the "family / home team" willing to just pitch in as necessary to get things done. Work includes cleaning, tidying the pool area and grounds, helping with guests, and serving meals. [ In winter and spring we sometimes offer shorter HelpX placements to help prepare the grounds and guest studios for our summer season. Work includes clearing undergrowth, collecting / cutting firewood, gardening, rebuilding paths and walls, and cleaning and decorating inside and out. ] We offer a high standard of food and accommodation (your own bedroom in the owners' apartment) in return for about 5/6 hours a day x 5/6 days a week of enthusiastic and energetic help. Hello. I’m Paolo, a recently retired musician. I live in a mountain area made of rounded, wooded peaks in the inland of the Italian Riviera, at the point of connection between two regions, Tuscany and Liguria, widely renown for art towns (Pisa, Lucca, Florence among others) and picturesque fishing villages. It’s a quiet setting to get away from it all, with a 360 degree view stretching for tens of miles and right down to the Mediterranean Sea, only 25 km/15 miles away. Here is where the Alta Via (High Route of the Ligurian Mountains) starts, a long-distance waymarked hiking trail for nature lovers. I speak Italian (native), English (fluent) and French (fluent). I’m looking for volunteers who are self-motivated and good with their hands, willing to help me with general maintenance around my property in exchange for food and lodging in a friendly environment. I appreciate a baggage of life experience that is not too small, so volunteers in their mid to late twenties at least and in t...

You will like it here! We need help in our garden in the next months, e.g. watering, weeding, cutting branches and so on. It is not hard work! We are a little unconventional community of 4 persons (67,66,72,75), 1 friendly dog and 2 playful cats and we live in a cosy house surrounded by a garden. Our children are on their own, but they sometimes visit us. We raise our own organic vegetables in several raised beds and normal garden beds. There is always something to do in the garden and around the house or walking the dog, cleaning windows and so on... We live in a small rural village in the beautiful hills of the "Odenwald". Our village is located roughly between Heidelberg and Frankfurt, also Mannheim and Darmstadt can be visited easily. There is a good public transportation to all these cities. The Odenwald is a famous hiking region and ideal for mountain biking, a bike is available. There is a climbing rock not far from our house. We speak English quite fluently and some French. ...

Kia ora guys, We live in a small west coast beach village about 35-40 minutes from central Auckland called Muriwai Beach. It is one of NZ`s most stunning and wildest beaches. We have a half acre section that always needs little things doing and the house is slowly being worked on as well so experience in building or skilled labour is always cool as well as people who like to work in the gardens and landscape. We have a daughter who is 11 years old who loves playing in the outdoors, tending her veggie garden and meeting people from all over the world. If you like the beach and the wild west coast then I`m sure you will love it out here. I work in the television and film industry while my partner is a a musician. Drop us a line and tell us a bit about yourself and maybe you can come out and share some of the magic that we feel living here. Cheers. Toby, Moana and Manawanui.

Hi, my name is Sylvia and I'm Dutch. After having lived for the majority of my life in cities I wanted to roam around with Helpx, so I did. However, I fell in love with the first place where I stayed, many years ago. A very small rural village in Bavaria, Germany, at the Czech border. I rented the huge house and intend to stay here, with my little dog, for the rest of my life. It’s a beautiful hilly area and the forests invite for long walks in which you may spot deer, lynxes, boars and other animals. Public transport ends in Weiden (train) or Lohma (bus), but I have a car, can pick you up and drop you off. Plenty to see within reasonable distance like Nuremberg, Regensburg, Munich, and Prague. Ski and snowboard centre at 7 km distance and lots of others a bit further away. In the holiday season, Christmas markets can be found everywhere. You will have your own room (with WIFI) and a shared bathroom, and you are welcome to the rest of the house too. I‘ll try to cook for you what you...

Kia ora, travellers! Haere mai - welcome to my whare (home) in beautiful Honeymoon Valley, surrounded by native rainforest, birds and insects. We built this eco-earth house using local clay from right under our feet. This land used to be just grass, but after 30 years of caring for this whenua, it now has mature trees, orchards, and organic gardens. Life here is peaceful and quiet, perfect for enjoying nature I am part of the local landcare group, helping protect our native forest, birds, lizards, and insects. We trap predators and remove invasive weeds. You could help with organic/permaculture gardening: vegetables, flowers, herbs, fruit trees, chickens, mowing, brush-cutting, compost-making, maintenance and fixing things (basic carpentry, painting), sewing, cleaning, chopping firewood. I bake bread. I make apple cider vinegar, bottle fruit, jam, chutney, sauerkraut, and collect seeds. The current to-do list includes building a structure in front of two doors to keep the rain out, mo...

Hello Potential Volunteers My name is Paul and it was my dream to change my lifestyle from being an office worker to becoming an alpaca farmer.... here we are 14 years later with 100 alpacas, each individually cherishes with names and unique personalities, plus an assortment of other animals all needing our love :) I have three children: Liam (21), Dylan (9) and Oscar (6), and our 100-acre farm is home to approx.100 alpacas, plus llamas, peacocks, hens, mini pigs, a cat named Sexy, and our farm dog Malta. This year we are expecting 20 'cria' (baby alpacas) and each one will need our help so they can thrive! We need to ensure they get colostrum (filled with antibodies and vital for good health) – have they fed from their mums within the first 24hrs? Are they then drinking enough milk from their mums every day? Are they gaining weight? The well-being of my animals is the most important thing on the farm. Do they have good food and enough water, and the best possible natural environme...

Update: we have an available slot for 3+ weeks from 20th July to 11th August. We are then looking for a helper for 4-5 weeks from 22 September through to the end of October. Please read the listing fully. My husband and I live in a beautiful, listed, 100 year old house in a lovely part of Scotland. We are surrounded by rural countryside, but well located for exploring much of Scotland and are walking distance from the small rural town (more like a village) of Alyth which has a few shops, cafes and a good bus service. There are lovely walks from the house as well as further afield and we can sometimes lend a bike to use for exploring (but it is quite hilly round here for cycling). Both Dundee and Perth are easy to reach on the bus, with St Andrews just a little further away, also accessible by public transport. Wildlife in the area include red squirrels (in the garden), deer, beavers and buzzards. Our house was a project when we purchased it in 2018, so to help finance the extensi...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. PLEASE NOTE WELL: we absolutely cannot host anyone with any pre-existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions), such as hay fever, any other allergies, sensitivities or intolerances. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our do...

Hi! I'm Tonje and I moved to my farm in 2020. And there's always a lot to do here. This small farm is in a very small town, by the fjord in Hardanger. Its a good place for hiking and culture. The area is quiet and scenic. The closest cities are Odda and Bergen. The bosses of the house are 4 dogs and 3 cats. Right now I don't have any farm animals of my own. But the neighbor's sheep live here too. I would have been very grateful for various help on my small farm. The work can be very varied. But I need help with maintenance of the outdoor area, wood working, chopping firewood and snow shoveling. I also have an airbnb, so cleaning, organize and tidying jobs are also tasks that I may need help with. Help are appreciated a lot. For your help, I can offer beautiful scenery, food and a private bedroom.

Hello lovely people, we are a bunch of people of different ages, partly living and mostly working together on 3 hectares of beautiful northern German countryside. Our property, which used to be a working water mill, is now a guest house for groups of up to 120 people from all over the world (mostly Germans though). We have a large garden and several animals that are really important to us, including three horses, cats, chickens, a dog and a wild boar. The Mill is a convention centre open for all kinds of groups and we also organise a number of workshops ourselves, mostly centred around Irish folk dancing and folk music. If you're interested in one of our workshops you usually can join in and experience a variety of dance and music styles. We have three pianos, an e-piano, a harp and a few working guitars that are always glad to receive some love - feel free to bring your own instrument as well! We're happy to show you around the area and take you on outings with the team occasionall...

Hallo, adventurous HelpX people, Welcome to the Paddock Straw bale house '26 We had to build our modern steel frame and straw bale house without help x support due to restrictions from planning! We have now gained habitation and are open to share our home. We have used 1100 straw bales, 35t of clay and lime each and charred our cladding boards to create a stunning effect. We are now turning to interior finishes and furnishing, garden and eco sport systems including heating, rain water harvesting and potentially hydropower. We installed wall heating in walls and floor and mudded through and earth rammed floor. So there is a lot of knowledge here. Currently we are looking for 1 or a couple who can Help in the garden, shifting things to start our basement, finish the wildlife pond, finish the next room with clay coats/ limewash, other labour tasks, and whatever Bogdan needs help with. In September we want to make appe juice. If you are a builder, tiler, plumber etc get in touch a...

We live on a 5 acre hobby farm in the beautiful Huon Valley, Southern Tasmania. Our family consists of three young adult children (two live at home), two horses, many chickens, ducks, geese, goats and two gorgeous dogs. We grow organic vegetables and breed heritage chickens in an attempt to be more sustainable. Jobs involve general gardening, helping with the animals and housekeeping. If you would like a Tassie small farm experience message us with some details of the work you have previously done. We have separate accommodation, with a bathroom. All our HelpXers have loved working and living with us and I hope you will too (please remember Tassie is a cold place in winter). There are many areas of natural beauty in Southern Tasmania which are all fairly close to us. For example, the Hartz mountains, Hastings Caves and the Tahune Airwalk. We live close to a sleepy village called Cygnet and Hobart is only a 40min drive away. (Unfortunately we can't approve 2nd year visas)

Private room and bathroom in detached house. Looking after pool, animals and watering the garden, with minimal cooking and cleaning required. I have a major hip problem, and am waiting for a replacement. There are days when I can only walk a few steps, and I cannot stay on my feet for any length of time. So I am looking for someone to do the things I cannot manage at the moment with regard to running a house with animals and a big garden. I would imagine 4 to 5 hours a day……. I’ll provide food but the helper(s) will be responsible for preparing it. The house is an old watermill, Roman system, lovingly restored with plenty of wood and the mill machinery intact. There are about 3500 m2 of land, on terraces. A local person has an allotment, and another comes weekly to do the big stuff. I look after the flower gardens and the grass. The village is small, 5 minutes walk, with a supermarket, farmacy, butcher, 2 bars, doctor every day, small gym. The local fiesta takes pl...

We are a family of three: Krisztian (35), Julia (34) and little Levi ( 16 months :) ). We are obsessed with nature, gardening, alternative ways of living, arts, specially music ( creating and listening as well... all kinds, from electronic through piano music to bird singing ). We also love to travel, we spent a few years traveling around Europe before and after we met each other. Although since our little one got born we travel less and spend more time at our lovely place. Our place is on a hill and it's totally melted together with the huge forests behind. Ideal for lovers of nature. The land is 1.5 hectares big, mostly forest, quite diverse one mixed with fruit and nut trees. A smaller part is a fruit orchard with old fruit trees and newly planted ones. This part we turn slowly into a forest garden. There are many kinds of fruit and nut trees like: apple, peach, plum, pear, cherry, mirabolan, apricot, chestnut, hazelnut, walnut etc. There are plenty of wild herbs and wild edibles w...

Welcome to my old farmhouse near Lake Geneva! My name is Marie, I’m 60 years old and I live in an old rural house with 20,000 m² of land, in the beautiful Montreux region of French-speaking Switzerland. This is no longer an active farm: the house is now a private home, and there is no cultivation or agricultural production. The land is simply used as a living space and open area for my horse. 👉 So there is no agricultural tasks involved. I’m curious about other cultures and always happy to learn new things. I enjoy simple, respectful exchanges, where everyone can feel welcome and at ease. I’d be happy to welcome a kind, positive and independent person to help gently reorganize and care for the place: tidying, sorting, gardening, small repairs, maintaining the surroundings — depending on your skills and what you enjoy doing. Projet 1 – Jardin & Extérieurs For a helper who enjoys being outdoors and working with nature. The farm is surrounded by greenery, trees and open spaces, and th...

Permaculture project with idea and space to create an eco-village. The quinta is located in Alto Alentejo 2km from Portalegre. 15 hectares with magical forests and a beautiful valley provided by seventeen sources and several mines with healthy water where too people live permanently for the moment,Isabel, a communication manager and Michel, a carpenter who is the founder of the project. There is also one dog, five cats, for chickens and six sheep. The project is now in the phase when it’s open so that more people can live here. Because parts of the ruins are ready for occupancy, there is space for people who want to stay longer, which can bring new and stronger dynamics throughout the year, not like before, when there was only a lot going on in the summer months. So far there is already a beautiful gardens going on and numerous species of plants, shrubs and trees which deliver us plenty of food. We are happy when someone shows enthusiasm for the garden because this is a central part...

We do not cook vegan or gluten free. If you are vegan or gluten free, then you should probably look for a different host.
