Our home is a large old weatherboard house in beautiful Sherbrooke, in the Mount Dandenong Ranges. This dear old place may one-day soon again become guest-house, like it was 100 years ago. Meantime both house and garden need plenty of tender loving care. The hills are a popular destination, with native forests for walking, public gardens, villages, cafes, good coffee, and galleries. See: http://www.villagesofmtdandenong.com.au/ for a look at the attractions. Sherbrooke itself is made up of a state forest and a mountain village. It is recognised internationally as the home of the Lyrebird, and many native birds visit us daily. Sherbrooke is one hour drive east of Melbourne city, or 1 hour on the train from Melbourne to nearby Belgrave. As a busy professional household, in recent years we have been grateful for helpers' assistance with yard-work, household chores, firewood management, garden gazebo construction and painting. We have a large organic home fruit and vegetable garden....

I am now full until March 2026. There is a small chance that I have an availability from the middle of October for 2 weeks. Next year, I will be looking for volunteers in the Spring until the end of October, thank you. It's mainly gardening but also some general maintenance. I take 1 or 2 people for anywhere up to 2 weeks and look forward to hearing from you if you are free. I live at Morfa Isaf, a coastal farm in a beautiful secluded part of west Wales. The Ceredigion footpath runs through the farm leading to the most glorious private beach. The views and serenity here have to be witnessed. We have sheep on the premises for many months of the year but rent the land out so have nothing much to do with the running of the place. I run a small guesthouse and 2 rental cottages outside and although I rent the land out, there is still a wealth to do around the farm, general maintenance, a lot of gardening, painting sometimes in the house during quiet months. I have a roundhouse which is ...

Stay with us by a beautiful lake, wake up to the sound of birds, enjoy the sunrise from our beach, disconnect from the noise, become more sustainable, feel the essence of nature and climb the volcano where we live. We are looking for self-sufficient and collaborative individuals to join our team of four volunteers dedicated to maintaining and guarding the property. We offer a straightforward exchange: your work in return for food. This is ideal for people who would enjoy the social and cultural buzz of the city within easy walking distance, while also being close to two charming harbour beaches and some great walks. It’s a good arrangement for you if you value your own private space whenever you want it, but also enjoy a stimulating environment. Our comfortable inner city 116 year old Victorian villa is a two minute walk to Ponsonby Road. Accommodation is self-contained, and our HelpXers have invariably found it to be an ideal arrangement (see guest room photos). You have your own separate entrance, private garden balcony, generous double bed, kitchenette with microwave, ,hot plate, toaster and small fridge, dining table/desk, laundry machine and ensuite bathroom/toilet. Free wi-fi (within reason!) Because we’re on an unusually wide section for a city house, we're developing one little corner with herbs and flowers for the pleasure of neighbours and guests. There's also a tree viewing platform and an organi...

Sorry folks, but we are now fully booked until the beginning of September 2026. There may be a cancellation, but these are very rare, but if you are in the area, reach out, we love to chat :) As well as the normal homesteading tasks, if you want to learn about wine making, bee keeping, self defense, jewellery making, or help Tony with his book and video courses, we could be a great match. Have a think, take a look at our reviews and if you are interested, drop us a line, *** Our beautiful countryside homestead (only 5 acres so not really a farm) is in the mountainous hills above the historic castle town of Caccamo, Sicily. It is surrounded scraggy mountains and long valley walks. It is perfect for hiking or just relaxing in the sun with a good book. Within easy traveling distance for those interested in exploring this culturally rich island, is the seaside town of Cefalù or even the main capital city of Palermo, both are easily accessible by bus and train from the local town. I am a single mum with shared custody of a fun and engaging 13 year old daughter, plus a little dog, looking for someone to join us from the 2nd of February and stay for 6-8 weeks (or longer). We have a large house and garden, the care of which get away from me without assistance! The help we need is with the domestic tasks (dishes, cleaning etc) in the house, and maintaining the garden and outside of the property. Someone who’s a bit handy and could undertake a few little fix-it jobs would be an added bonus! I work full-time, and sometimes need assistance to get Abigail to her various activities, so a full drivers license is required. My elderly mum occasionally needs to be driven places as well - she's a fun lady who provides vibrant and lively conversation. Abigail is creative and fun, with a wide variety of interests and a zany sense of humour... she is very easy to spend time with :-) We enjoy our international helpers and have created many firm friendships. Our dog, Bobbie, is ...

We are Greg and Claire, parents of a 9-month-old baby girl and a very active 10-year-old son. We are non-owner stewards of land that has a long history as a communal farm, held by the Renaissance Charitable Trust since 1977. Our work here is currently focused on forming intentional community, improving accommodation, and restoring the farm that has been let go for many years. All the labour and love that is given to this farm goes towards paying forward the gifts, knowledge, and generosity received from those who came before us and hopefully helping the intentional community become a lively thriving and truly special place. The Community Vision: We are here to create a cooperative way of life that interweaves people with land and one another. By regenerating a small, diverse, and long-neglected farm and by transforming our relationships with ourselves, others, and the land. We aspire to create deeply fulfilling lives for ourselves and a thriving, resilient community that can inspire a...

This is a traditional family-owned farm which, after years of abandonment, is currently being re-imagined as a sustainable and environmentally-conscious community. Located just 3km from the beach, where the Pampa plain meets the rugged coastline of the Argentinian Atlantic. We are passionate about agriculture, surfing, music, travel, nature and the environment, who want to create a communal space where people from around the world can come to learn about sustainable living and ecological ideals; share delicious organic food from the gardens; surf; tell stories; share knowledge, ideas, culture and language; learn about farming, the environment, or just relax and enjoy the farm and surrounds. The project is in its early stages and we are looking for energetic and responsible individuals wanting to experience and contribute to rural life and communal living close to nature. We are looking for self-motivated individuals to help us out with daily tasks such as helping in the kitchen, kee...

Hi we need help from 14th February 2026 onwards Looking for helpers wanting to stay 4 weeks or longer but we will consider shorter stays so do get in touch! Also looking for helpers wanting longer term. We need daily help with housekeeping, cleaning and some occasional gardening (with me or my hubby so no gardening experience needed).

** help needed : 01-09 February (or longer), Danielle would appreciate some help while we are away. ** We are an anglo-belgian couple retired to France with our 2 horses and miniature shetland pony, our adult daughter lives with us. French additions to our family include 2 dogs and the chickens. We are active in the local community and there are sometimes events or meals to attend where French is freely spoken. Horses are a big part of our lives. We would like to take on helpers to help and participate with everyday life which is getting harder as we get older! Possible jobs include: helping with the horses and miniature pony as a groom (helping mucking out and poo picking daily, feeding, grooming, fencing) and work in the garden such as weeding, watering and collecting vegetables. The allocation of work depends on your abilities and skills and the time of year. We live in the French countryside, having your own transport - or the ability to live out of town, is therefore ...

Our family runs a western riding facility with 30 stalls, where we provide horse boarding and training, including reining and cow work. We also have a western saloon, where we host weddings, special events, and are open for our club members on weekends. In return for cleaning out stalls and feeding horses (and the odd other job), we offer room and board, sorry we cannot host vegetarians; we include you in family activities and you have the possibility to improve your riding skills in western riding (cow work and reining) in our 30 x 60 m arena and - how about -learning some line dancing!! A bicycle is available, if you want to explore the near surroundings. We are located close to Switzerland, it`s about a 15 minutes car ride to Basle, and also only about 20 minutes to Germany. Our area is a great tourist region. If you are mature, fit and self-motivated, willing to stay for a minimum of 2 weeks, experienced with handling horses, we would be happy to hear from you!

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . Permaculture project with idea and space to create an eco-village. The quinta is located in Alto Alentejo 2km from Portalegre. 15 hectares with magical forests and a beautiful valley provided by seventeen sources and several mines with healthy water where too people live permanently for the moment,Isabel, a communication manager and Michel, a carpenter who is the founder of the project. There is also one dog, five cats, for chickens and six sheep. The project is now in the phase when it’s open so that more people can live here. Because parts of the ruins are ready for occupancy, there is space for people who want to stay longer, which can bring new and stronger dynamics throughout the year, not like before, when there was only a lot going on in the summer months. So far there is already a beautiful gardens going on and numerous species of plants, shrubs and trees which deliver us plenty of food. We are happy when someone shows enthusiasm for the garden because this is a central part...

Hi! We’re a working macadamia farm located about 25 minutes from Bundaberg in Queensland. My huband Warrick and I are looking for reliable, motivated helpers who enjoy hands-on outdoor work and being part of a real farm environment. Main tasks include: - Macadamia tree trimming - Irrigation installation/ hanging, checking - General farm maintenance - Basic property upkeep Work is mostly outdoors and varies depending on weather and farm needs. ACCOMODATION: You’ll have your own private room with a queen bed, plus private access to the shower (shared toilet). The room is clean, comfortable and quiet. Off-grid living, building and tourism. Form February it will be the projects again! There's plenty to do on the land, making this place even more beautiful than it already is. Tasks during the next months include: First we will be building 3 outside wood fired bath tubs on different spots. Then, Expanding the area for the donkeys. Creating a new water system for irrigation and grey water. Building building another shower and toilet block. There's some fencing work for a new vegetable garden and orchard and much more... The short periods that the weather is not favorable to be outside we'll be doing ton of finishing jobs inside. I am trying to vary the working days, so no one gets bored and to give you the chance of choosing which kind of work you prefer, so everyone feels comfortable with what he/she is doing. If you're looking to get some building or carpentry skills and you feel like committing yourself to a longer period I'm more than happy to transfer some of my skills...I l...

Hello travellers! My name is Liam and I’m looking for some help landscaping ahead of building a sauna on my property. Guests will have their own room, with queen bed, wifi, and located only 15 minutes to Hobart CBD. About me: I’m in my early 30ies and work full time in town. I love getting out there all over tassie, including mountain biking, fossicking, rock climbing, saunas (obviously) and hiking. Closer to home, I enjoy baking, board games and woodworking. I travelled a lot in my early twenties and did a lot of couch surfing, and hosted back here in Aus. I love the community feel and cultural exchange that happens thanks to couch surfing and am really excited to host more people via HelpX. You and your stay: I’m happy to host a couple or individuals and could potentially host two couples. We’ll be sharing the space including bathroom and kitchen facilities. I want everyone to feel at home and you’re very welcome to join me on social and weekend adventures, including rock climb...

It`s been over 10 years now that we are participating in programs like this. We never get tired of new people staying and having strangers turning into friends. Also our neighbors and others in the village enjoy the exchange. They are always up for a small talk, which is great for you to practice your German! About us: We have organic breed Wagyu Beef (the most expensive meat in the world). There are 3 Horses, a Pig, Chicken, Dogs and a bunch of Cats that are also part of the Farm. We also grow all sort of crops. Either to feed our animals or to sell them. We also grow apples, plums, pears, potatoes and many other things that grow in a garden. There is never a time during summer where u can not just go outside and eat something straight from where it grows.. Ruesselhausen is a small village. Just perfect to be in the nature.

We live in a fun share house in Maryborough, Marry Poppins Town, with awesome meals and a big edible garden. We're Mars, the owner of the property and Tracy, a former theatre/restaurant owner who's cooking the most awesome meals and looking after everyone like a mum. There're 2 adorable dogs in the family, so you must be a dog lover. We need help with building and creating, and with an awesome but overgrown garden. In addition, we're about to put 12v solar power into the rooms, also natural air-conditioning and are finishing up the spa bath in the 2nd bathroom... so there's a bit for you to learn and lots of knowledge to take home. We have had awesome experiences with travellers so far 😃. Maryborough is only 30 minutes away from Hervey Bay with beautiful beaches overlooking Frazer Island. Maryborough is a beautiful old heritage town with a lot of old buildings and parks all around. We're just a few metres away from the Mary River, at a quite place and only 1.5 km from town. There'...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. Generally after a girl helper as our kids are more comfortable with that. Someone who is able to muck in with whatever we need and likes cleaning!! Only single helpers please we cannot take more than one person.

Located 12 minutes the pristine beach’...

I would be very happy to welcome volunteer teachers who are willing to help at my school for two or three months, or even for a full semester. *I want the volunteers who work at my school to not feel like they are working. Instead, I want them to feel that they are enjoying themselves and having a holiday while staying with us. Their room is fully equipped with air conditioning, hot showers, and a spacious private room that is separate from the main house, so they can feel comfortable and relaxed during their stay.* Versi lebih hangat & friendly (opsional): *My goal is for the volunteers at my school to feel relaxed and happy, not like they are working. I want them to feel as if they are on a holiday while contributing to our school. We provide a comfortable, spacious private room with air conditioning and hot water, located separately from the main house, to ensure privacy and comfort.* My name is Edison I have a wife, her name is Nofi.

The work can be physically demanding at times, so a reasonable level of fitness, strength and stamina is important. We aim to provide a positive, supportive and respectful exchange where helpers can gain practical farm experience while enjoying rural Queensland life. Meals included: - Continental breakfast - Dinner / ingredients for dinner provided * in full honesty: I’m a relatively b...

There are bikes for you to use so you can discover the surrounding nature. It would be good if you speak a little German because not all of us speak English. We...
