We are a family run business operating an Oyster Farm on Moreton Island plus a retail shop on the property selling fresh seafood. We are happy to accept travellers and have had some wonderful experiences with wwoofers already. We offer accommodation and food in exchange for work. Accommodation is a studio apartment separate from the main house. We generally only pick up people on a Thursday or Friday from North Stradbroke Island in our boat. Duties include, building water infrastructure, making oyster bags, culling and sorting Oysters, general farm hand on the land base and grading of oyster. A working day normally starts at 8am and finishes around 2pm generally and breaks for morning tea and lunch of course. Most times on a Sunday we have to harvest oysters ready for work on Monday, but this only takes about 1 hour. Moreton Island is remote even though close to Brisbane, we have to generate our own power via solar and also collect our own rain water. If you love nature, hik...

After 16 years, and hosting almost 100 HelpXers, at our property in Larnook, in the Northern Rivers region, Steve and I have moved to a new place in Tenterfield, at the northern end of the New England Tableland. All of our reviews up until September 2024, are related to our previous place. We are now ready to accept HelpXers at our new place. Steve and I are a gay couple and we offer a high quality experience (as you can see from our reviews) and so we expect our Helpers to pitch in and help. The more you put into your time here at Tenterfield, the more you will get out of it. We have lots of small work jobs at present including lots of weeding and gardening, mowing, establishing herb and vege gardens, pruning and cutting back and some other work. Our property is situated a few kilometers west of the town of Tenterfield, in a quiet, rural area. We usually expect around 4 hours per day of work in exchange for all meals, your own room, access to internet (for checking emails, looki...

My two sisters, Judy, Margaret and I bought the farm in November 2021 and are turning it into an organic permaculture farm. We use no chemicals or poisons and that's why there's a lot of hand weeding etc. We are very flexible and easy going. farm is set in the picturesque Tamborine Mountain with amazing rain-forest walking trails and stunning waterfalls. We have a beautiful private campervan accommodation close to the house where you will be able to access Wi-Fi and the use of a shared bathroom, plus a small caravan. Or occasionally a bedroom with queen size bed in the house. We need help with weeding and planting and depending on the time of year, harvesting/picking avocados. I also need help with my bee hives on occasion. We don't expect you to work all day, all we ask is a fair exchange, usually 18 - 20 hours per week. Vegan meals will be provided (Judy is an amazing cook). You will have to buy your own non-vegan food. There is a full kitchen set up in the campervan and cara...

This is a busy fun jungle hostel. Our volunteers contribute their creative energy and talent at our busy jungle hostel. We are located in the Panamanian highlands (on the main road between both oceans) on more than 30 acres of rain forest (cloud forest) and re-purposed organic coffee farm. Because it is one of the only pieces of titled land, the community is looking to us alone to develop tourism. We are the deepest private reserve within the La Fortuna nature park. We host backpackers, volunteers, scientists, nature enthusiasts, birders etc. Because we want to employ as many persons from the local community as possible, volunteers are not simply used to cut down our labor costs. Minimum commitment length we are looking for from volunteers is 1 month We look forward to sharing the experience of living in the jungle with you. We are in the Lonely Planet book in both the Central America on a shoestring book as well as the Panama book. Our hostel has very favorable reviews elsewhere. ...

This is a Standardbred Race Horse (Harness Racing) farm at the foot of Tamborine Mountain. Located 45 minutes from Brisbane in the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland. The closest train station is Beenleigh. Your own car is a plus. We welcome working holiday visa holders with good horse experience and most importantly a passion for horses !! In order to learn your daily task, routine and horses personalities, we will ask you to stay a minimum of 3 weeks. Long stays are really welcome. Your role on the farm would be helping with the daily care of our racehorses. It's an everyday job starting depending of the sun (4.30am in summer and later on winter time). We start each morning training the horses, washing them and feeding them. All the retired horses need to be feed and watered as well. We need to feed and water all the horses again each night before dark. The ideal helpers will be positive, willing and with a some decent english. Because it’s a 30 hec property and there is always some...

This is an exciting opportunity to have an experience that will stay with you throughout your life. Our Foundation aims at helping rural children receive a qualitative outstanding education. We have a volunteer teaching program to assist rural teachers and children get exposure to foreign languages and cultures. Because English is the second language in Thai schools, we concentrate on improving the English language skills of both rural teachers and children. At present, we aim to help 4 public elementary schools (grades 1 - 6) close to Chiang Mai. We are currently taking applications for volunteers who would available to start sometime between now and the end of June and commit to at least 8 weeks . We are looking for volunteers to teach English only. Couples are welcome as well. NOTE: We do not charge volunteers any fees for staying with us. The generous gift of your time and dedication is all the donation we will ask of you. We provide the volunteers lodging and meals in retu...

I seek mature travellers who are travelling around the South West in their own Camper Van or Car with tent etc. Traveller/helpers need to be self contained but I provide access to clean toilet and shower facilities. I have some really nice set up camp sites here - the sites are private, clean, safe and located in beautiful natural bushland settings. If you would like to come, stay and help me here, please send me a message ! I can usually help traveller/helpers locate many other things.., like possible work services, free food services and access to various beaches etc. I like to show people how they can live on the land sustainably, how they can build their own sustainable homes and grow their own food...., using what is around them, to adapt to their environment and adopt permaculture principals to suit their own needs. I have lived on my own little permaculture farm beside the Leeuwin/Naturaliste National Park forest since 1982. I have built my own home using local granite s...

MINIMUM STAY TWO WEEKS! -TWO WEEKS MINIMUM STAY! As our aim is to maintain a mix of nationalities so that everyone has a chance to practice their English. We have up to 4 HelpXers at a time. We are a small family run winemaking operation based in the stunning Margaret River region of Western Australia. In September 2026 we require the assistance of a female live in helper to support our 15 and 17 year old daughters with everyday living whilst my husband and I go to work in Italy for 3 weeks. Our eldest has her licence and a car and is able to provide transport if needed but it would be ideal for the helper to have their own car as we are located on a beautiful farm 15 minutes south of Margaret River. We are looking for a fun friendly companion to oversea everyday living. Our girls are both very mature, well mannered and will be expected to clean after them selves and contribute to cooking etc but the presence of a responsible adult in the house whist we are away will make everyone feel at ease. The exchange would be accommodation and food for evening meal x 4 per week and company as needed. Assistance with feeding animals (Pygmy Goats and tamworth pigs and chickens) li...

There are excellent hiking and biking trails nearby, and beaches of Lake Simcoe are only 20 minutes away by car, one hour by bike. We will be happy to drive you there. Two bicycles and high speed WiFi is available. We have two dogs and two cats. We are located one hour north of Toronto - accessible by Go Transit to Newmarket, where we will pick you up. Hi! We are a family of 4: Madalyn (that’s me) is a therapist and artist, Greg is a fisherman, Gray is our indoor/outdoor cat, and Olivine is our sweet baby born July 2025. We are looking for someone to help take care of Olivine for a few hours a day, a few days per week, while I see my clients from home via Telehealth. Our home is a 5 minute walk from the ocean, with excellent snorkeling, coral reef, and fish, and whales in the winter. It’s a quiet community, warm and sunny all year, and not far from attractions like hiking, the volcano, beaches, and more. However it is pretty remote; the nearest stores are at least 20 minutes by car, though you can get coffee, avocados, macadamia nuts, and tropical fruit from nearby farm stands. Helpers get their own private apartment downstairs with bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette and living room. Gray (cat) is not allowed in there so those with allergies have a cat-free zone. We like to share meals often and provide some basic groceries; we can...

****VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES AT ANAM CARA THIS JUNE 2026! We've just completed our May volunteer month, and what a beautiful time was had. It's hard to put into words the sense of the radical act of revolution these gatherings elicit. Opportunities for being together in a way that is carefully curated for healing, connection with land, health, peace, and authenticity are becoming harder and harder to achieve as the world gets ever-more heavy. But somehow, the Anam Cara recipe delivers deep kinship connection between participants time and time again. If you'd like to join us for some or all of this June's volunteer month, please get in touch. Participants who have stayed with us before are welcome to drop in for short stays, newcomers will need to spend a minimum of 1 week. You will have your own lovely accommodation (private room or glamping tent), shared bathrooms, full access to all living facilities, and delicious organic food. The work exchange is about 20 hours a week. Each person...

Hi there If you'd like to experience central leafy Auckland in a safe area, then our home is the right place to stay. We live in Westmere, which is an inner-city suburb surrounded by cafes, amenities, and parks. It is very safe and a lot of professionals live here. 5-10 mins walk to the supermarket, bus, cafes. Half-hour walk to the beach, 45 mins walk to downtown city (or quicker by bus). It is a very popular and green area. We're offering a furnished room in a 3-bed house which includes your own room with a desk, table, chair, wardrobe, but not food. We have our own bathroom, so the main bathroom is yours most of the time. In return we're looking for someone to help with 13 hours a week,or 11 hours+ $40 dollars to cover the bills, ie: water, electricity and unlimited broadband. At least half of those hours are just playing with my child or waiting in your room or living room till she falls asleep. The rest of the time is light household duties and gardening (and maybe painting...

Would like to learn and look after a vineyard, distillery and winery this season, no experience is necessary. Established in 1998 and hosting HELPXers for over 15 years, it is the only certified organic winery in the Perth region. It is situated in the Swan Valley, 7km from Elenbrook and 15km from the Perth airport. The vineyard has 3,000 vines, a large house we live in, a machinery shed, and a winery/distillery on the property. Winemaking occurs during the summer months from January to March. A large, spacious room with a double bed, attached to the house, has a private entrance. Applications for mature single people are open now. Opportunities for vineyard and maintenance work are available. Couples with Visitor Visas are also welcome. I want (NON-smoking) volunteers who wish to experience domestic, distillery, vineyard, and winemaking work. During the season, there are generally outdoor activities, such as winery and vine work, plus gardening if it is not raining or too hot. ...

Hi. I used to use helpx as a helper during my working holiday in Australia back in 2017. I have so many good memories and also some awkward moments during my stay but overall it's a precious memory to me. And now back in Korea, I was thinking why not try hosting this time? Some details about my house - located near Seogwipo Kal Hotel, jeju island (pls google the location) - low-rise residential building with three rooms. - you can use private room (no bed only futon sets) and common areas and facilities. - one bus stop nearby, but you might need to walk 20min to catch buses that go to popular tourist spots. - My girlfriend and her 2 dogs, and 1 cat occasionally stays here. In exchange, I might ask you to help me with these. - 2-3hrs of household chores (cleaning, dog-sitting maybe and etc) - or some weeding - or just chilling in general :) I wish to host 1-2 helpers who are - open to different cultures/ food - LGBTQ friendly - respectful of each other's boundaries - staying less...

We are a mature aged couple working from home and are looking to find an enthusiastic couple, or single person, who can help with general garden maintenance , eg weeding, spraying blackberries and wood splitting etc. In return, we are offering a private room and own bathroom ( see in photos below) in our lovely home. Accomodation and all meals are provided. ( free wi-fi is also available). We are in a quiet and secluded bush setting, and often have kangaroos and wallabies feeding on our property, but still only 3km from the main highway and station. (Melb CBD is 1 hour via train.) It is essential that you are a dog lover! (We have 2) Our 2 Whippets are quite old now, but very friendly and lazy! This would be an excellent opportunity for anyone requiring 2 weeks of accommodation, possibly longer, to share our easy going family life style. We are DEFINITELY a NON SMOKING household, and would prefer not to cater for vegetarians only. The work involves weeding, moving mulch, splitting...

We are semi-retired and offer a free camp with access to a bathroom and laundry for a little bit of help, also included is unlimited access to our fresh produce. Dongara is a small coastal village with beautiful beaches and coastline, 350km north of Perth. Well know for its proximity to wildflower country, best visited in August and September. Only 65km from Geraldton, there is a lot to enjoy in the area, the beaches of course, cafes, local hotel, restaurants, historic buildings, museums. We live in Dongara and travel out to the farm three mornings per week. We have 2 hectares of production area with-in the 20 hectare property, certified organic. Mixed vegies and melons in summer. We work as a team (we have two part-time workers). We are passionate about producing good food in a way that is kind to the planet. We open our shed in town once a week to sell direct to the public.

I have need of someone to help with gardening there is a lot to do and need you to like the outdoor life. I can lend you an old coat and gardening gloves for this. I am a strictly non smoking place both inside and out. Smokers including those who vape, will be asked to leave. I take in rescue dogs and then rehome when they are ready, you definitely need to like animals I have had people come who have an allergy to animal hair and dust. This is a farm atmosphere so dirt, dust and animal hair are normal here. I ask for five full hours a day please. The South West of England is a lovely area in the country close to Dartmoor National Park and also the Devon/Cornwall border, very scenic a couple of miles from Dartmoor National Park. 2km away there is a huge supermarket which sells everything from food to washing machines, it is open until midnight except for Sunday when it has reduced. I am in the country one mile from the nearest public transport to Plymouth, 7 miles away, whi...

Homestay in Southern Indiana We started hosting almost 15 years ago with idea of building a wheelchair ramp for my daughter. The engineering proved to be too difficult and expensive so the ramp was never built. (Still in search of solutions to this issue.) My daughter is grown and gone now and I’m the one who is physically fragile and in need of help. We are looking for a capable and thoughtful person (or couple) to assist with housekeeping, meal prep and organization. Age doesn’t matter nearly as much as emotional maturity, honesty, and a true desire to help change lives for the better. I want you to feel like family, like a cousin or friend who has come for a stay to stay for a while. Experience with eBay, FB marketplace and photography would be very useful. A licensed driver with a vehicle would be awesome, but not a deal breaker if you don’t have one. Projects currently in the works are - - food prep once a week & freezing ready to eat meals - learning to make cream...

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . Located 12 minutes the pristine beach’...

Hello everyone! My name is Bird, I was working in Chiang-Mai as a photographer for 2 years then decided to become a farmer and create a Thai traditional agriculture permaculture farm in 2018. I wish to create a relaxing place that allows people from all over the world to take their time to experience life in harmony with nature. I also have four water buffalo on our farm, named Tony, Laura, Hanna and Charlie. We are a local family with a desire to preserve our simple, sustainable way of life so that we can give back to and protect mother earth. Our farm is located in Pua city, 70km north of Nan province surrounded by the mountains and rice fields, in Northern Thailand. The farm is set on 1.5 acres of land with vegetable gardens, rice paddies, farm stay and pizza restaurant. Currently, we have done with natural buildings on the farm, including bamboo huts, fences, and wooden houses. “Life is better with a Buffalo” is our farm goal and “Happiness only real when shared “ is our motto. Y...

If you love wildlife, the outdoors, great views and good food, send us an email (only emails from this site will be responded to). This is very much a cultural exchange (for us and for you) as you will be in our family home sharing our lifestyle. NO SMOKERS OR VEGETARIANS PLEASE. We prefer our helpers to stay 2 weeks or more. Work outside is a major part of what we do so expect to be outside on a rural property as part of the experience. Please message us through this platform to allow us to view your profile The property is located 60km South of Brisbane and 20km West of the Gold Coast on the upper North slope of Mt Tamborine, 320m above sea level. We are surrounded by National Parks and abundant wildlife. The property is 6Ha with a sub-tropical climate and has great country views to the North up to 140km on a clear day. We also have a tennis court (I will always give preference to tennis players who love to cook and eat great food), an outdoor cob pizza oven, chooks/ducks, two Rh...

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) Cheers Al

LOOKING FOR HELP IN JUNE. In return for 4 hours help a day I offer you accommodation and all meals in a sunny, warm home where you will have your own bedroom (queen size bed) and own bathroom with the added privacy of being in a separate wing of my house. My sunny home sits atop a hill from which you will have a magnificent view of the township of Blenheim to Cook Strait and the hills of the North Island beyond. Of course if you would prefer to work a full day in order to have a day off in which you could explore the nearby Marlborough Sounds, cycle the wine trails, or walk or climb on any of the formed tracks in this area, that would be just fine. My 40 ha property is a sheep/beef farm most of which is leased. I tend a large garden and care for the drive and tracks, drainage and irrigation and deal with fallen trees. It is help with this work I require.. Therefore most of the work is outdoor, constantly varied, not difficult, with some indoors work on occasions. The farm is sit...

Close to the famous Newcastle beaches and Hunter Valley wineries. The beaches are in easy access only about 15 Minutes away. We are looking for people who want a working holiday in the beautiful Hunter region of NSW.

We have been fully vaccinated and will welcome helpers who have also been fully vaccinated. My niece and I have a scenic country home on two acres with spectacular views of rolling hills.
