*** Available from February 1st 2026 *** *** Just a quick visa heads-up!... Immigration rules have tightened a bit lately — sometimes even helping out in exchange for a place to stay can be seen as “work,” which might technically need a visa that allows it. Most guests have never had a problem, but it’s smart to check the latest rules and think about how you describe your plans at the border. Just something to keep in mind! *** We are a small family - two parents and a 10 year old boy. We also have a couple of very friendly cats and some fish. Our place is 5 minutes walk from the centre of Fremantle, 7 minutes cycle to South Beach and close to all amenities. Fremantle is a great transportation hub and has an amazing live music, cafe and arts scene. Our house is 110 years old with high ceilings and a chilled out vibe in a friendly street close to Wray Ave. We are enthusiastic vergeside collectors who try to salvage things from other people's rubbish before it reaches landfill and t...

Start or finish your New Zealand adventure with us. We have the perfect location for you, whether you've just arrived and you're getting set up or are about to leave and are selling a vehicle. We're on State Highway 16, the alternate route north from Auckland, so we're an excellent choice if you're heading towards Cape Reinga or the Bay of Islands, or a stopping point on your way south again. Currently looking for Helpers Prefer Helpers over 25 (non smokers) Hi my name is Anthony and I live in Red Hill with my son Louis. We are located on the Mornington Penninsula just over an hour (by road) from Melbourne. Rolling hills dotted with vineyards and surrounded by the sea, this region is one of Melbournian's most popular "weekend getaway" destinations. Wake up to the singing birds in a log cabin set amongst the tree tops, boarded by an organic apple orchard and fringed by forest. Home to friendly and colourful native bird life and visited by a family of cheeky possums each night. Lovely walks to restaurants, markets and our general store. I have too many projects to handle by myself as I care for my 9 year old most weekends and some nights during the week. The projects are varied and include; clearing vegetation, maintaining the organic vegetable garden, planting native trees and shrubs, splitting wood (by machine), building a wood fired oven, setting up chicken coup, ...

Hello travellers, and a warm welcome to beautiful Olinda - I am Vita and delighted to host you. **Currently seeking Helper/s who can work in the garden or use a chainsaw to cut fire wood. Or a carpenter who can help repair weather damaged external timber windows. Or someone with mechanical experience to service chainsaw and lawn mowers. Or a Helper with sewing skills and can use a sewing machine. Or a helper who can restore and refinish furniture. This is a mother and child organisation that provides children and their mothers life changing opportunities. We provide a chance for education to children from poor communities and less privileged families. We try to build and give Hope to these children and families by teaching them through example by having the children attend our partners school which is a home for them since many of them are orphans from different places of Uganda. Our aim is to make sure that every child and young mother can still have the same educational opportunities as anyone would. We also train young teenage mother's who have become mothers at the age of 12 to 19 and we give them skills like tailoring craft making and business management that may help them to achieve their dreams The organization also provides a safe space for women to share and learn from each. Our volunteers will help teach at our new project school academy, where we are providing education to children in communities that struggle with...

Offering comfortable accommodation in a natural environment in exchange for general help with mainly outdoor projects - tell us your skills and interests and we'll probably have a project to match! Looking for help year round, happy to offer one to two weeks at a time with longer stays possible after we've got to know each other a little. Your own vehicle is essential as we do not have any public transport routes available. Us: We are a relaxed couple who enjoy the quiet life - Al is retired and spends most days pottering - always plenty of jobs around the place; and Vicki works 3 days/week from home, when she's away from her desk you'll most likely find her in the veggie garden or the kitchen. We enjoy lots of "homesteading" activities including breadmaking and preserving, herbal medicine, soap making and general crafts. Al is trying to learn the didgeridoo and hoping to have more time for painting and drawing and Vicki wants to improve her French language skills. We both love...

We are a couple in a neighborhood in the north-east area of Seattle, Washington. We are interested in hosting a person or two who could help with some yard work, maybe deep cleaning the kitchen, general house projects, painting walls, etc. Short term stays are best for us (around a week, plus or minus). We ask for 3 hours of help per day (except for arrival and departure days). It's OK to work longer days and then take days off - we are flexible. You have your own bedroom & your own bathroom to use on the lower level of our home. We have two "kids", 23 and 25, all grown and moved away. The photo posted is really old! We enjoy meeting people from other cultures! Our home is near a bus line - 30 minutes to the city center. Walking distance to library, shops and cafes. You are welcome to borrow a bicycle to explore (be prepared for hills!). We like helpers who are friendly and easy going. We have an automotive country workshop where we fix and service cars, 4WDs, trailers, tractors and all sorts of machinery. In our spare time we look after our little farm, some sheep, some cattle and rabbits. We also have a forest where we work and tidy up occasionally. So we are always in need of a couple of helpful hands to support us. We love to get to know different cultures and people. We grow our own meat, fruit and vegetables. Gustav also brews his own beer and makes wine and cider and lately also green tea. A mature, non-smoking, self-organized person, preferable not a vegetarian, to give us a hand with house and land, would fit best into our lifestyle. You will have to join into our daily routines: breakfast is at around 7.30 am and then we feed all the animals, especially the hungry dog and work starts at 8.30am. We need to get everyone organized before customers arrive in the workshop. We expect about 4 hours work per day and we offer a nice room with a lovely warm b...

Hi, my name is Marianne. I live on a classic New Zealand "tree quarter acre section" on a north facing (all day sun) hobbit hill, looking down to Oamaru. If you arrive early enough at my kitchen window or even up on the jungle hill behind the cottage, you can see the sea and watch the sunrise. A 10 minute stroll down Eden Street gets you either to the CBD or to the shoreline. I am providing three basic meals per day as well as a comfortable and quiet room for your stay and to relax after our daily four hours of working together "out there", somewhere on some befitting project. Currently the main focus is on landscaping, forging a pathway up the hill via carving out soil on one side and adding to the other side, creating little embankment walls in the process. Most of these embankments will be made from recycled Oamaru natural stone, a few with recycled glass bottles. Our white Oamaru sandstone has attracted various sculptors to our town, because it is soft enough to be cut and carved...

I am in the Madonie Park. It's a small experimental farm. I chose to get out of the city routine and come and live in the Madonie park surrounded by nature. the house is big enough and comfortable. I offer volunteers an independent room and a second bathroom. I have some animals: a mare, a donkey, 5 dogs, 12 goats, 10 hens, 1 cat. I need help taking care of the house, in the care of the peaceful animals, some gardening work. During the milk period I milk some goats and produce the cheese, yogurt and ricotta. Sometimes I like to cook together with my guests it's definitely a cultural exchange. Ros' languages are basic Spanish and Portuguese and very bad English. I like to wake up early and work, animals don't like to wait. The daily tasks are carried out calmly .

We are Claudio & Elisa, a 40 year old couple that after spending a couple of years travelling as volunteers, 4 years ago decided to buy a 3 hectares land in Abruzzo, that we share with our cats Ninni, Acqua, Ginger and Roger. Here we have almost 300 olives trees (we produce an amazing biological oil), a vegetable garden, where we put on practice the principles of the natural and regenerative agriculture, and a wooden and clay house that we are building. The accomodation is a 8' x 12' studio with a small covered front porch. There's high speed wifi and solar power, and it's surrounded by forest. There's a nice hexagonal composting toilet, an outdoor shower, and a shared kitchen and dining area. Looking for someone who can work independently on some tasks (gardening, painting) while I'm at my day job, and we'll work together some too (tree planting, construction projects). I work as a zipline guide and love touring people around the Island, so I'd be happy to take you on adventures on the weekends too!

Minimum stay is two weeks unless you have a skill to share. Looking out for 3-D artists to make an addition to our sculpture trail in the woods! We are now growing more vegetables and have some Hebridean sheep and a few chickens. Springtime is preparation for the summer and some tree planting. In July we need help picking fruit (raspberries and cherries) so half your time will be spent picking fruit or foraging and the other half will vary. Please state in your application that you are fine with this. We have a farm that has been converted mostly into trees ages 20 - 35 years ago that need maintenance. This involves pruning the trees and planting new ones and weeding round the trees. We also try to develop the flora in the woods by planting wild flowers and useful forest edible plants. There are lots of other projects depending on the time of year and carpentry skills would be particularly appreciated as we always want to build things! I have also been growing trees from seeds I colle...
