Since 2012, hundreds of volunteers from many countries have helped our projects. We are very grateful for their help and many have become our good friends and come back for a second, third or even fourth visit! In 2020 I started a new project in a town in Northern Ireland. The building is a former back-packers hostel which we are gradually turning into campus. that focuses on peacebuilding education. Our aim is "to creatively and sensitively explore the resistances to peacebuilding - knowing that such resistance can resource transformation". I'm located 16km South of Te Puke on a property that has a back boundary of native forest. I'm usually able to host people at any time of year, but am busiest in the spring. I currently have building projects happening, as well as lots of painting, waxing new bee frames, and also hands on beekeeping for anyone who is keen. I also keep sheep and cattle on the property here, and hunt deer and pigs in the forest. These grass and forest fed animals form a large part of the menu here, so vegetarians probably won`t be happy with the diet. I cater to lots of herbivores and they all have hooves or paws. Hi. We are a family of 4 and started new farm in Somerset, England, in 2025. Although we do not live on site and there are no buildings there, we spend most of our time at the farm. Like our animals, our children are unpredictable . I live in one of the buildings on this sunny property which runs on rainwater harvesting. We avoid chlorine and contaminates by filtering, harmonizing, and energizing our own water though Ionisation. Our large property is in the rain forest, 10 Minutes from the village of Kuranda and a 40-minute drive from the city of Cairns in far north Queensland. A beautiful National Park is nearby, with several good walking tracks. We don`t have any farm animals except a couple of chickens on the block, but have lots of beautiful birds and butterflies, also forest creatures like goannas, bush turkeys, turtles, wallabies and cassowaries. Bill and I would like some helping hands for gardening, lawn mowing, some building maintenance and household chores. Our guest accommodation consists of a self-contained cottage with one Queensize bed and a spare mattress. We are providing accommodation only, you would have to do your own cooking. In exchange we ask for less hours of work and days off to travel around. We have Telstra mobile coverage in this area, but we have a computer and phone in the main house if needed. Please bring closed shoes and work clothes for outside work.

Hi there, an update on the post below. I am still looking for a strong young man who can help with jobs such as putting up some cross ways fence palings to sturdy up an old fence,; has a good experience with painting, first wire brushing down window sills. I m also looking for someone who can help me with doing a big clean up job in a house to prepare it for a new kitchen. the house is in a real mess as is the garden. We would both work together on it for four hours a day, but it is a big job and could take a few days. As it is a drive away you would get a whole day off the day after only the four hours work to compensate for the time it took to drive there.
