WELCOME to the Human Rewilding Project. We are young married couple coming from very different cultures and upbringings. We are living our dream of experiencing what it means to be alive as a proper human being. And that on our own land in one of the most beautiful and wild corners of Scotland. We aspire to become self sufficient in all we need for a happy and healthy life. Our house and the main parts of the croft lie on a hill with a breathtaking view onto Oldshoremore Beach. The view from our living room or from the garden invite for frequent moments of still admiration and gratitude. Alexa grew up on a Finca in the jungle of Costa Rica within her tribe, the Boruca. She was born into a lineage of healers and understands deeply the ways of plants and other beings. She learned from her elders about natural health, herbal remedies and energy work. One of her many missions is to pass on her shamanic knowledge and thus keeping alive her indigenous heritage. But the most important one...

This is where you come when you’re finished with the norm and its systems. Thinking outside the box and voluntary simplicity inform my life. There is joy in the cycles of life. There are lambs and baby rabbits. The kale and chard are blooming to reseed. Spring is blooming and the tree frogs are singing. Im planning on creating a new chicken house this year. If you’re capable with a hammer and saw, have I got stuff for you to do 😎 im not looking for a professional carpenter. This is git er dun, use what you have type building. People wanting to learn gardening and food ways are always welcome- carpentry skills UN nescessary. I live off-grid in a 240 sq ft hand built caravan. I am practicing sustainability thru permaculture. my farm garden is beyond organic, relying on natures synergy. It is my dream to be fully self sufficient in food and herbs. also in the dream-works are an outdoor summer kitchen, a solar oven, a solar water heater for the caravan, more food forest which includes...

We live in a fun share house 🏡 in Maryborough, Marry Poppins Town, with awesome meals 🍝, fireplace 🔥 and a big edible garden 🌾🌴🌳🌿. We're Mars, the owner of the property and former owner of multiple language schools and Tracy, a former theatre/restaurant owner who's cooking the most amazing meals and looking after everyone like a mum. There're 2 adorable dogs 🐕‍🦺🐕 in the family, so you must be a dog 🦮 lover. Also 6 chicken 🐓 and 2 ducks 🦆, so we always have fresh eggs 🪺. We need help with building and creating, and with an awesome edible garden. We're about to put 12v solar power into the rooms, also natural air-conditioning and are finishing up the spa bath in the 2nd bathroom... so there's a bit for you to learn and lots of knowledge to take home. We're Manon, Alessandro and Brioche (I'm a dog) a little young family passionate about nature, travelling, independence, regenerative practices, agriculture, farming, gardening, trekking and life. After almost 10 years of working and travelling overseas we felt the the needs to set roots and to transform our dream in to a reality. We bought an old farm stable in ruins (dry stone building) inside a very small village and a few hectares of old chestnuts forest next to it. On one side we want to restore the old building using eco techniques, as much as we can, to transform it in to our house and on the other side we are developing a syntropic garden, a little orchard based on agroforestry systems principles that will also be applied to some parts of the chestnuts forest. We're located in South Ardèche, near the town of Joyeuse. The place is famous for its rivers, canyons and forests with plenty of hiking and biking trails, bathing spots, canyoning, rafting, climbing spots, old small vil...

In 2005, my husband Terje and I, became the proud owners of this place and we spent the next 15 years renovating the property. Today we offer short-term accommodation in this historical building. Guests come to visit from all over the world. They come to Odda and the Hardanger area to experience and explore our unique landscape with glaziers, fjords, mountains, waterfalls, valleys and lakes. Hiking to Trolltunga is undoubtedly the most popular of the tourist attractions offered here in Odda. Other less famous attractions are just as breath-taking. We are a family of seven, with four daughters and a foster son, but our three eldest daughters have recently moved out to work and study. We would be most grateful if you would like to come and live with us, and help us with the housekeeping; cleaning, change of bedlinen, reception work, payments, as well as maintenance, carpentry, painting, gardening, childcare, pet care, and other activities like going fishing and having fun. Hello! We’re Clara and Fabien. After having some amazing experiences abroad as HelpX helpers ourselves, we thought it was time to become hosts and welcome travellers into our home. We live in a small mountain village in the heart of the Ariège Pyrenees. If you enjoy nature and being outdoors, you’ll probably love it here. In winter, there are ski resorts nearby, snowshoeing, beautiful walks, and plenty of hiking trails starting right from the village. We can host one person or a couple. We’re not looking for perfect helpers—just people who are easygoing, respectful, curious, and happy to share a bit of their daily life with us. During the winter season, we’ll need some help with our Nordic hot tubs. The work is pretty straightforward: getting the tubs ready for guests, carrying and stacking wood, keeping the area tidy, and helping with a few everyday tasks. We’ll explain everything, so no experience is needed. In exchange, we’ll share meals, spend time together, and happily show y...

We are a couple living near Lake Maggiore, in a renovated country house with a 7000sqm garden. We work as a flight attendant and catering director and we have 5 german shepherds. Just opposite our house we have an independent outbuilding with a room and a private bathroom with shower, tub and washing machine. The room is on the ground floor and has a private balcony on one side, heating, TV and microwave. Meals will all be included and consumed in our kitchen when one or both of us will be present or in our veranda when alone. Help is required mainly with garden. Some works can be trimming roses and bushes, cutting the grass, removing leaves and twigs, painting, moving fire wood, etc., depending on the season. We look for motivated people, willing to do and attentive. Sometimes physical effort may be required. We also would like to inform that normally rest days will be during the week as Alberto is usually at home on weekends and there will be more things to do. 25 hours a week are no...

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) , please don't come if you have a heavy cold or flu, I'm involved with the elderly. Cheers Al

Hello, we have a small 3-hectare farm with a vegetable garden, a few fruit trees, and 250 lavender plants. The work is not at all difficult; it consists of watering the vegetable garden every day, which takes about two hour. During the summer, we water the lavender plants twice a week .we need a girl or women as Yoko is Japanease origine feel uneasy with men. There’s also some work involved in tending to the plants or harvesting sometime in season . Other than that, if we’re away, you’ll be looking after our mini rooster and his two chicken for the moment . We also have a very sweet girl cat. Please note that our land is certified organic. It’s located on the edge of a national park, with the option to go for bike rides on a 60-km-long flat, sandy “greenway.” We use water from a groundwater source 110 meters deep—absolutely pure. We are a vegetarian couple; we use soy milk and vegetable butter. If you prefer vegan options, we can provide meals without eggs or dairy. Please do not smoke...

Hello Potential Volunteers My name is Paul and it was my dream to change my lifestyle from being an office worker to becoming an alpaca farmer.... here we are 14 years later with 100 alpacas, each individually cherishes with names and unique personalities, plus an assortment of other animals all needing our love :) I have three children: Liam (21), Dylan (9) and Oscar (6), and our 100-acre farm is home to approx.100 alpacas, plus llamas, peacocks, hens, mini pigs, a cat named Sexy, and our farm dog Malta. This year we are expecting 20 'cria' (baby alpacas) and each one will need our help so they can thrive! We need to ensure they get colostrum (filled with antibodies and vital for good health) – have they fed from their mums within the first 24hrs? Are they then drinking enough milk from their mums every day? Are they gaining weight? The well-being of my animals is the most important thing on the farm. Do they have good food and enough water, and the best possible natural environme...

HAPPY end of SUMMER 2026 Things have been moving along, slow but meticulously! It feels good to be making progress and I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel…on my sailboat. There are plenty of volunteer opportunities; a lot to do, at any skill level. Many projects take only 5-30 minutes to explain and easy for someone new to do the specific project well. Other projects require knowledgeable skills and other projects necessitate someone that has a fair amount of specific experience. Anyone that volunteers on my sailboat can join me sailing once my boat is back in the water later this year or at some other point in the future! We are a cultural and arts community that is working towards being self-sustained. The community is situated in the mountains of Monchique, Portugal surrounded by nature. Our community provides an alternative way of living with permaculture gardens, farm animals, sustainability projects, and arts and cultural workshops. It is a great place to come to meet other like-minded people if you are passionate about sustainability and alternative living. We hold community meetings throughout the week alongside activities and workshops, such as quiz nights, dance nights and yoga classes. If you have something you are passionate about and want to share with others, we would love for you to run a workshop. One of the best things here is the variety of tasks you can do as a volunteer, which gives you the opportunity to learn new skills and discover what you enjoy doing most. We have a combination of short-term and long-term volunteers and on average we have between 10 to 20 volunteers and resident...

This is an organic farm on a sheltered inlet, with horses, sheep, chickens, orchards, & gardens.. Needing help with keeping the grounds beautiful, repairs, building projects, harvesting, weeding, pruning, planting, and animal care. Near a busy village, bicycles offered, canoes, there are buses to take you around the island, hiking, swimming, artisans, markets. Sunsets are wonderful. The seaside jewel cabin is located in a private seaside spot with it's own bathhouse and kitchen nearby. The exchange is to volunteer 1.5 hrs. per day without food supplied. The work involves cleaning up after the horses or sheep (scooping poop) in the barn or on the grounds for half the time, then various projects for the balance of 1.5 hrs. You can get a part time job on Saltspring as many jobs are available. This island is very popular with the biggest problem being lack of accommodation, so helping at the farm gives you that precious spot to live. I like to pay for an extra hour help several times a w...

I am a creative person living in Mumbai (Bombay) , India, I grew up in rural and urban natural lives. Making me experience working on farms, cities and learn some things on different levels of cultures, society differences, Indian deeper roots, religious, spiritual and positivity through life. So looking at life in its best or worst way, with in its various colourful shades. 👉🏼 For References - ask for my other volunteer site profile. 👉🏼 My passion is film making but still I am trying to develop my spiritual understanding. Sametime in support of growing world awareness of organic life or climate changes comes as a beginning of a new era. And proud to be part of it as its time to deconstruct what we constructed just in few decades. Mumbai city is the only city in the world where the Country lives in a city i.e you will find everyone from the different parts of India living in the city of Mumbai.

STUNNING PLACE IN TASSIE! CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR HELPER(S) for start of September onwards, 3+ weeks with a fun project! (could start any time up to 18 Sept approx) Hello, it's Stephen and Philamae here. We have a beautiful rural property in Buckland, Tasmania (45mins NE from Hobart airport). The views are stunning - the accommodation is lovely and we are running it as holiday accommodation as we move towards turning it into a funky retreat space. The experience of the place - and Tasmania as a whole - is soul stirring. Lots of beautiful animals surround us - sheep, wallabies, possums, echidnas, bunnies and the occasional deer. A pair of the endangered and majestic wedge-tailed eagles live 1km away and often soar above us. Our website link below has a lot more photos of our place. We have a series of 7 wellness retreats running 5 June to end August: see our blog link below. The next specific needs are: a) start of September onwards for at least 4 weeks (or any time up to 18th Septem...

Farm Stay Within a Progressive Intentional Community in the Appalachian Mtns, Nelson County, Virginia I will be closed July and August, starting up again in September and running through the end of November of 2026. Fall dates and length of stay are pretty flexible, especially if made well in advance. If possible I prefer to have farm guests come in on a Saturday and leave on a Sunday. There is always room for flexibility, especially if you are a couple or pair of friends. Fall farm stays are generally 3 or 4 weeks, unless noted otherwise. The first week of a farm stay would include a 1 week trial period. If either of us are not happy with how things are going then your stay can end without any hard feelings. Hopefully the trial period is just a time of introduction and all goes well. Please note - no pets we have 2 dogs, 2 cats, chickens, cattle here already and do not invite farm stay guests with pets, my apologies. You must be fully vaccinated and up to date, on Covid as well as ...

We’ve recently built a wonderfully energy efficient passive solar house, complete with off-grid solar for all our energy needs, rain water collection for all our water needs, and a worm farm waste management system for natural black and grey water processing. We’ve put a lot of work in to achieve a fossil-fuel-free, all-electric, household, with as small an environmental footprint as possible. We’re also lucky to live in a beautiful rural/coastal area near Inverloch, Victoria, approximately 1 hour 45 minutes south-east of Melbourne. We are close to some of Victoria’s most famous wildlife and wilderness attractions, including the Penguin Parade at Phillip Island, the Koala Conservation Reserve, and hiking and camping at Wilson’s Promontory (not to mention numerous local beaches and fishing spots only 10 minutes away!). With our house complete, we’re now working to progress the landscaping aspects of our project. We’d be very appreciative of a helping hand or two to help complete: a na...

What are your plans for the first three weeks this September? We would welcome someone who would enjoy being in the Highlands. We need extra assistance, We could offer free accommodation and food to someone suitable, particularly if you could assist with looking after our Garden Gatehouse where people buy tickets for the garden, but you'd have to speak good English. Have a think about it! We are in the NW Highlands near Skye on the Kyle-Inverness railway line with our very own request stop so easy to access but generally quite remote. This place would suit an individual as space is limited. You would have your own accommodation. Beautiful estate with large garden open to the public and four holiday cottages situated in wild country near the Isle of Skye. Garden open from April to October. Holiday cottages available all year. Do you want to explore the Isle of Skye and the North West Highlands? Ideally for a minimum of three weeks, preferably one month please. In recent ye...

After an intense house renovation, we are now entering the final phase, focusing on cleaning and refreshing the house. From APRIL (for about one month), we are looking for help with PAINTING work inside and outside, as well as some light gardening tasks such as weeding. This period is ideal for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and likes to see visible results at the end of the day. From JUNE onwards, as the weather becomes warmer, the help will mainly consist of daily HOUSEKEEPING tasks (cleaning, ironing), with occasionally some light gardening. We’ve found that this experience works best for people who enjoy staying active and contributing in a practical way to daily life. We truly appreciate volunteers who bring positive energy, a hands-on mindset, and a genuine willingness to help. We are a Belgian family who has been living in France for over 20 years. In our late fifties, we speak French, Dutch, English, and a bit of Spanish. Our home is located in the beautiful r...

Hello everyone! My name is Bird, I was working in Chiang-Mai as a photographer for 2 years then decided to become a farmer and create a Thai traditional agriculture permaculture farm in 2018. I wish to create a relaxing place that allows people from all over the world to take their time to experience life in harmony with nature. I also have four water buffalo on our farm, named Tony, Laura, Hanna and Charlie. We are a local family with a desire to preserve our simple, sustainable way of life so that we can give back to and protect mother earth. Our farm is located in Pua city, 70km north of Nan province surrounded by the mountains and rice fields, in Northern Thailand. The farm is set on 1.5 acres of land with vegetable gardens, rice paddies, farm stay and pizza restaurant. Currently, we have done with natural buildings on the farm, including bamboo huts, fences, and wooden houses. “Life is better with a Buffalo” is our farm goal and “Happiness only real when shared “ is our motto.

We like to work with fun 🥳, laughter 😂, music 🎶 and love to see you letting a bit of your craziness out 🤪. Be yourself and join the family... We have had many awesome experiences with travellers so far 😃. Please no...

I anticipate my boat will be back in the water by mid to late Autumn. If this interest you, or you have questions, contact me through HelpX or call me direct via my mobile phone (also WhatsApp number). Below is a list of some of the projects I hope to complete Install 1) solar panels 2) a DUO GEN, which produces electricity by wind & whil...
