We are Sunny from China and Jeff from New York and we live in a small town in Oklahoma called Olustee of about 500 people. Nearby is a city called Altus of 19,000 people with stores, bars, restaurants and entertainment. You are invited to our place, either just to visit or to stay and help out. We have 4 bedrooms for travelers and helpers in our guest house available for you (can accommodate probably up to 10 people) and there is also a game room, swimming pool (in the summer) and basketball court on the property. We also have campgrounds with a fire pit and tents. We would like help with cleaning of guest rooms, cooking, painting of walls and murals, some light construction work (very simple, you don't need to know anything), fixing bicycles for the neighborhood kids as well as maintaining the pool (in the summer). We have been doing this for about 15 years now and had guests from all over the world stay with us. We can show you around this part of Oklahoma and you are welcome to expl...

Hello travellers! If you like to interrupt your travels with some physical work in an idyllic place than we would love to host you on our land and in our family! At the moment we need some help in paddock maintenance, gardening/ weeding, mulching our orchard trees, bit of a hand in painting and fire wood work, clear our wee river access and create a 'swim' hole. If anything sounds like you got experience and would like to dive into it, please get in touch! We are a family of five (only one 'child' left at home) and love living with and in nature, organic and self-sufficient lifestyle, simplicity, loving nature, being active in the outdoors and travelling. Our hillside land is home to 15 sheep, 2 dogs, 2 cats, chooks, 2 ducks as well as loads of wild animals in the bush like stags, deer, pigs, goats and loads of native birds. We consider ourselves as the guardians of this piece of paradise at the moment and enjoy its closeness to nature and town, fresh spring water, clean air, indepe...

ACCEPTING NEW HELPX FROM 7TH JULY This can be your basecamp for winter in Tongariro National Park — a dual World Heritage site with two ski fields right up the road. We're at the base of Mt Ruapehu, with Whakapapa and Turoa both within easy reach, so you're sleeping at the mountain rather than driving up in the dark and cold every morning. Wake up, check the conditions, and go. We're a 90-bed backpackers and we're popular with HelpX — usually 4 to 8 helpers on site at any one time, plus a steady flow of guests through the lodge. It's busy, it's social, and there's always something going on. Lots of fellow travellers, lots of mountain time, lots of opportunities to make the most of where you are. We take helpers all year round, but we get booked up well in advance — so reach out early and we'll do our best to work your dates in with your NZ travel plans. Two weeks or more is ideal: time to settle in, wait out the weather, and actually live in the park rather than just passing through....

Summers we are busy taking care of our short term rentals and tiny campground. Maybe some gardening and trail work. If you have a strong body and quick mind, Jim can use your help building something or other. Located west of Mt. Rainier National Park and near many other beautiful nature areas, an hour+ south of Seattle and less than an hour from Olympia, this FSC certified forest/wetland includes a straw bale home, yurt, very small campground and a tent/cabins. And our new event space WoodHenge. We would love to have one or two who would be able to help with outside projects and/or help with the bnb. I would expect helpers to work 4 hours/day for 5 days/week( or equivalent so more full days with more days off). We provide meals and work with you if we can, but your ability to work without constant supervision is appreciated. We are hoping you love it here, we all get along and you want to stay for a longer time. We would love to see a positive review or referral from past host. ...

We have a separate little tiny house on wheels with access to a fully equipped kitchen for Helpers' accommodation in Kerikeri/Bay of Islands. It’s very cosy to live in. We need help with maintenance of our property (house & garden). This includes gardening, tree-trimming, clean-up, and some painting. Are you interested to be part of our projects? Good command of English or German required. Fishing from our pedal boat, kayaking, swimming and hiking are great as off-work activities here. In 2016 we have moved up north to Kerikeri to a 2+ acres life-style block. Since then we have built a large veggie garden (to enrich our carnivorous diet) and a chicken coop, a tiny house on wheels, a farmers garden and a solar power system. Maintenance and landscaping projects are always waiting for help. We are a couple, have cats and are a non-smoking household. The tiny house is very comfortable, has stunning views. It is directly on the beach of Kerikeri Inlet, so you can enjoy a swim in the morn...

Hi, my name is Demi. I’m originally from Switzerland and I inhabit a beautiful place in the tourist area of Siem Reap from a warm-hearted 72-year-old Cambodian landlady who also lives on the property. I'm in the process of building a yoga retreat center and would be happy to anyone who wants to help and participate with their energy, knowledge, and creativity. Accommodation - Private room with Bathroom - Affordable meals available nearby. ( Kitchen for cooking shared meals in planning.) - Safe, supportive, and friendly environment. - Yoga mats are available. (Yoga room and free classes in planning) Cultural exchange and learning opportunities: Experiencing Cambodian culture alone is a worthwhile adventure - Meet the friendly locals, try Khmer food, explore local markets and craft shops, watch traditional dance performance, learn something about the history and of course visit the famous Angkor Wat temple! There are many different tasks that the volunteers can try out and I'm eager t...

Kia ora! Seeking help all through the year. The home is a large Oamaru stone villa where my 20yr old son and our tabby cat live with me. Our work does take us away from home from time to time and we need help to maintain the existing gardens, and to redevelop some areas. I am redeveloping an area to become a vegetable garden and would love help with this. We have around 2 acres of garden - mainly flowers, hedges and mature trees with a pond which plays host to gold fish and attracts numerous dragonflies. The gardens are very tranquil. We host small events occasionally and sometimes run garden tours. Ideally, you'll have a bit of garden knowledge, but most importantly you'll be fit, have initiative and a willingness to muck in and help outdoors. The majority of work will be weeding, pruning, trimming. I expect 4 hours of productive work each day in exchange for accommodation, breakfast provisions for you to help yourself to, lunch and dinner. The accommodation is a bedroom in a s...

Come and get a real taste of Nu Zelan! Home brew, home made breads and fresh fish.. Bush crash up the stream, swim at the beach across the road, come fishing with me on the kayaks. Take the bikes, pedal 2km to Waiomu; then tramp/jog to some beautiful Kauri (1/2 to 3/4hr). Do an overnighter at The Pinnacles Hut up the Kauranga Valley if yr into vast iconic views and like tramping (you need to book). If you have wheels you can do great day trips around the Peninsula. And if yr more chill, Thames has some great op-shops. Debs & I are happy boomers on the endless holiday ! Loving every second left. However, we seriously need help with the massive task of @296: gardens to create & jungle to clear ! We are keen to host people who want to help, who are comfortable speaking English (or trying) and value simple routines and shared respect. When Debs & I started hosting in 2025 we moved to the sleepout making it possible to host helpers hopefully from different cultures in the house. T...

This is very much a cultural exchange (for us and for you) as you will be in our family home sharing our lifestyle. NO SMOKERS OR VEGETARIANS PLEASE. We prefer our helpers to stay 2 weeks or more. Work outside is a major part of what we do so expect to be outside on a rural property as part of the experience. Please message us through this platform to allow us to view your profile The property is located 60km South of Brisbane and 20km West of the Gold Coast on the upper North slope of Mt Tamborine, 320m above sea level. Travel Companion Wanted – Nova Scotia to Saskatchewan I am looking for a reliable, positive, and adventurous travel companion to join me on a cross-Canada road trip from Nova Scotia to Kamsack, Saskatchewan at the end of June. I am a wheelchair user traveling with my friendly dog and three cats. I need assistance with loading and unloading my wheelchair, walking the dog, helping with the pets, and general travel support. No personal care is required. Traveling with three cats and a dog can make overnight accommodations challenging. Many places either do not accept multiple pets or charge substantial pet fees. Unless we find suitable pet-friendly accommodations along the route, some nights may involve camping, sleeping in a tent, or sleeping in the vehicle. Flexibility and a sense of adventure are important. Compensation During Travel • $100 per travel day • Basic meals and groceries provided during travel • Restaurant meals, specialty foods, snacks, alcohol, and personal purchases...

We have an automotive country workshop where we fix and service cars, 4WDs, trailers, tractors and all sorts of machinery. In our spare time we look after our little farm, some sheep, some cattle and rabbits. We also have a forest where we work and tidy up occasionally. So we are always in need of a couple of helpful hands to support us. We love to get to know different cultures and people. We grow our own meat, fruit and vegetables. Gustav also brews his own beer and makes wine and cider and lately also green tea. A mature, non-smoking, self-organized person, preferable not a vegetarian, to give us a hand with house and land, would fit best into our lifestyle. You will have to join into our daily routines: breakfast is at around 7am and then we feed all the animals, especially the hungry dogs and work starts at 8am. We need to get everyone organized before customers arrive in the workshop. We expect about 4 hours work per day and we offer a nice room with a lovely warm bed, gr...

Hi there. We're looking for help with some gardening tasks and possibly some paint preparation work. We live in the Morningside/Kingsland area which is very central and has great shopping, cafes, pubs and bars. We're a few minutes' walk from the train station and local bus routes. We have two downstairs spare bedrooms so can accommodate up to 4 people. One bedroom has an ensuite and small kitchenette. There is separate external access to the downstairs rooms but also internal stairs to up where we live with our two small children. We also have a small very excitable Spoodle, so you must be ok with dogs. The whole house was newly renovated a few years ago so is a lovely space with great views over Auckland. We're happy to provide breakfast and lunch in exchange for 4 hours work, preferably in the morning, after we've dropped the kids to school. My husband, Richard, will be around some days to assist and guide.

Travelers should choose my place because it offers a calm, friendly, and comfortable home in the Dublin Suburbs 10 minute train ride to City Centre. You’ll be surrounded by plants, nature, and good company 🌿. The tasks are light and relaxed. You’ll also learn practical gardening tips and horticultural knowledge in a cozy, welcoming environment. It’s an ideal place for volunteers who enjoy peaceful living, meaningful conversations, and a warm home atmosphere. I am a well organized and responsible person. I’m an easy-going, friendly host who enjoys gardening and evening chats 😊. I value respect, honesty, and a relaxed environment. Volunteers can expect to be treated kindly and fairly, with plenty of support and patience. House also has a permanent tenant, Gloria from Italy (early 30's) who has been here over a year. The help is quite easy and low-stress. I’m happy to share my horticultural knowledge, including tips and tricks for getting the best performance from different plants 🌱. T...

Hi travelers! We are looking for a non-smoking, motivated, and energetic helper. We mainly need help with tidying up our garden, general outdoor work, and maybe some painting, depending on your stay and skills. We are a Japanese and German couple with a 10-year-old Kiwi boy who speaks Japanese, German, and English, living in beautiful, sunny Nelson! Our Mediterranean-style house offers spectacular, panoramic views across Tasman Bay to the mountains. It’s a safe, sunny location, just an easy 15-minute walk to both the beach and town. We ask you 4 hours of help each day, we offer a large guest room with a double bed, unlimited fiber WiFi, and 3 meals a day (self-service breakfast, lunch, and dinner). We’ve lived in Nelson for over 20 years and work as NZ tour guides, so you can ask us anything about New Zealand! :))) We love traveling and meeting people from around the world, which is also a great experience for our son. We look forward to hearing from you!

We live on a semi rural farming property of 52ha overlooking the Waitemata harbour with views of Waiheke, Rangitoto and the Skytower, 30 mins south east of Auckland City. We are two minutes from the beach and there are several walks and cycling tracks nearby. We mainly farm sheep and also keep bees. You would be living as part of our family and are welcome to join in with any social events and activities, in particular fishing and boating. We have 3 adult children, and three grandchildren as well as three dogs and a cat. As a family we all enjoy meeting people from different cultures and forging connections with them and now have lifetime friends around the world. You can help us with gardening, landscaping, painting, building bee apiaries, planting natives (Autumn) and general housework and maintenance. It would be for a maximum of 4 hours a day which will leave plenty of time to explore the local area.

WELCOME to the Human Rewilding Project. We are young married couple coming from very different cultures and upbringings. We are living our dream of experiencing what it means to be alive as a proper human being. And that on our own land in one of the most beautiful and wild corners of Scotland. We aspire to become self sufficient in all we need for a happy and healthy life. Our house and the main parts of the croft lie on a hill with a breathtaking view onto Oldshoremore Beach. The view from our living room or from the garden invite for frequent moments of still admiration and gratitude. Alexa grew up on a Finca in the jungle of Costa Rica within her tribe, the Boruca. She was born into a lineage of healers and understands deeply the ways of plants and other beings. She learned from her elders about natural health, herbal remedies and energy work. One of her many missions is to pass on her shamanic knowledge and thus keeping alive her indigenous heritage. But the most important one...

We are ceramic artists who live on our 1 hectare property about 20km inland from the beautiful Doubtless Bay area. We run our pottery business from home and look after our organic gardens, small orchard and numerous chickens. We have traveled widely ourselves and hosted travelers for over 10 years with another organisation, so are interested in HelpX for both the cultural exchanges and to be able to share our lifestyle with others while getting some help around the property. We are looking for enthusiastic helpers for help with things around the property such as gardening, wood collecting, cleaning, painting, general maintenance and other tasks depending on the season. In exchange for 4 hours work a day, 5 days a week we will provide you with all meals, but ask that you join in with the preparation, and accommodation in the funky little cabin with it's own veranda.  We will be happy to include you in our lifestyle, maybe you'll be there to go Friday night fishing on our yac...

Permaculture project with idea and space to create an eco-village. The quinta is located in Alto Alentejo 2km from Portalegre. 15 hectares with magical forests and a beautiful valley provided by seventeen sources and several mines with healthy water where too people live permanently for the moment,Isabel, a communication manager and Michel, a carpenter who is the founder of the project. There is also one dog, five cats, for chickens and six sheep. The project is now in the phase when it’s open so that more people can live here. Because parts of the ruins are ready for occupancy, there is space for people who want to stay longer, which can bring new and stronger dynamics throughout the year, not like before, when there was only a lot going on in the summer months. So far there is already a beautiful gardens going on and numerous species of plants, shrubs and trees which deliver us plenty of food. We are happy when someone shows enthusiasm for the garden because this is a central part...

We have a large house with 33,000 sq m of land located in Domancy, Haute Savoie, French Alps, between Chamonix and Megeve. We have spare accomodation in a separate apartment for a person or mature couple who would like to spend a few weeks in this region in return for labour in the garden and forest. This would involve gardening tasks, maintenance, or general assistance. Good opportunity to learn English or French, and spend time in the mountains. It's a family home, not a working farm. Building / maintenance skills would be a plus but strong muscles and a good sense of humour would be even nicer !. Own transport preferred but not essential. There's a lake 2km away for swimming and paddle boarding, and lots to do in your time off. We have two Labrador dogs and two cats, all super friendly. We have a project to build a natural pool in our garden and are looking for helpers who love being outdoors and don't mind hard work ! Looking for help over June to November finishing offf this pr...

We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week. Our preference is for a single person or couple who have some skil...

We are restoring an old traditional Béarnaise house located at the foot of the Pyrenees in the Ouzom valley. We want to share it with people who can help us with the garden as well as with the house to maintain or restore it. Assistance activities concern the maintenance or restoration of buildings (lime plaster, carpentry, plumbing, electricity, etc), maintenance of the garden (brush clearing) and its vegetable garden, whether it is windy or raining, depending on the projects in progress and the skills of each. Slug hunting to be planned every evening at nightfall. Once a week a complete cleaning of the premises will be carried out by all. We ask for 5 hours help a day, 5 days a week. We offer accommodation in a large 4-bed dormitory. Please, bring your work gloves and clothes , if you have any. Everyone must be autonomous and responsible enough to know how to clean and store the tools or things they have used, as well as to participate daily, outside helping time, in all the househo...

Kia Ora to you Please come stay so you can get to know some Aucklanders and our inner city fun and funky neighbourhood, I really appreciate having people to stay from Helpx to help with some of the jobs of maintaining an old wooden villa and garden. The garden is based on permaculture principles. My home is in Grey Lynn in a central part of Auckland. Close to cafes, bars, and the Auckland Zoo.The bus route is excellent. I also have bikes you can use to get around the city. You will be sharing our house with us and have your own room. I run Air BnB in the other rooms so there will be other guests in the house. Many are on the Working Holiday Visa looking to establish themselves and get sorted when they arrive or are leaving New Zealand. We like to cook and eat together when it suits everyone. Ours is a busy social house and you can be part of what is going on - if that suits you. The kitchen, laundry and bathroom are all shared with the other guests and of course you. The H...

Looking for a lovely volunteer(s) to join us and our animals. AVAILABILITY FROM the 12th October. We are fully booked until then. Please contact us if you are interested in helping look after our wonderful animals. Experience with horses is useful but not necessary as long as you are happy to care for them. You will live as part of the family - during your stay, our home will be your home. We are a married couple living on a property with our DOGS, HORSES and an elderly but treasured chicken. Depending on the time of year, we also run a small scale rescue and rehabilitation centre for hedgehogs. There are stunning views looking out over a Devon Wildlife Nature Reserve and beautiful countryside. We live in a very attractive rural area of Devon on the outskirts of a beautiful old village called DOLTON (please look on "Google Maps") about a 45 minute drive from Dartmoor National Park. The village has a very friendly and active community, a church, 2 excellent traditional pubs, a post ...

The H...
