We have now gained habitation and are open to share our home. We have used 1100 straw bales, 35t of clay and lime each and charred our cladding boards to create a stunning effect. We are now turning to interior finishes and furnishing, garden and eco sport systems including heating, rain water harvesting and potentially hydropower. We installed wall heating in walls and floor and mudded through and earth rammed floor. So there is a lot of knowledge here. Dairy farm 260 cows with irrigation. Beautiful spot in Ohoka.15mins drive to Christchurch and the local beaches and the surrounding rivers. There is s variety of jobs from milking cows to rearing calves to driving and operating tractors and other machines and quads. The accommodation is warm and cosy and recently upgraded.Full home gym and spa and large swimming pool. 4 -5 hrs for healthy food and accommodation. There are bikes available and 10 mins to a surfing beach. There is a couple of camper vans that can be used by long term stayers to travel around or it can be rented.

We are a small homestead with gardens and animals with a surface of 3.000 square meters. We cultivate fruit (about 25 trees: orange, mandarine, apple, almond, olive, etc), and vegetables. We have a lot of chicken (about 80) as well as a few cats (10) and dogs (3) running around. Other than that we try to produce a few organic products such as tomato sauce, dried tomatoes, and figs and make our own olives. We are happy to receive seriious applications from responsible animals loving people Accommodation: One small room (separate from the house) with a bathroom (shower) and hot water. Hello, I live 25 km from Picton in the Marlborough Sounds on the seaside. I am an artist and organic gardener. The views here are spectacular. I feed the bellbirds and Tuis on the deck. Here you are constantly surrounded by native bird song. And can walk on a beach daily. There is an outside room with a double and a single bed in it and a composting toilet and a shower. There is also a caravan. I can pick you up in Linkwater which is our closest town although its only a Pub and a petrol station but its on the main Queen Charlotte road half way between Picton and Havelock.If you are finishing the Queen Charlotte track I can pick you up. This is a beautiful place to spend a week or so. I have 4 free range chickens and a very friendly dog. We live on a small property eight minutes from Kerikeri township. We have a private lake and kayaks are available to explore. We used to run a bed and breakfast here so I guess we can say we dont bite and our place is clean and comfortable. Some animals and chickens on site. Fruit when in season. Having a vehicle to explore for times when you are not working is a must and there is no public transport here. We are meat eaters. We need help now throughout the year. I have some physical limitations and require help to get on top of STUFF. We have many trees that have been felled waiting for splitting with a fuel powered machine, paths needed to be built, gardening, general gardening tools available and I am also building a cottage. Come and get a real taste of Nu Zelan! Home brew, home made breads and fresh fish.. Bush crash up the stream, swim at the beach across the road, come fishing with me on the kayaks. Take the bikes, pedal 2km to Waiomu; then tramp/jog to some beautiful Kauri (1/2 to 3/4hr). Do an overnighter at The Pinnacles Hut up the Kauranga Valley if yr into vast iconic views and like tramping (you need to book). If you have wheels you can do great day trips around the Peninsula. We are a couple with a 9year old son who live within the Shepherds Ground rural off grid village and farm community. The community is currently in its early stages with various hemp houses under construction. We run a small garden around the house and are planting natives while we finish our house.. We can offer a warm, friendly and healthy environment with your own room to sleep in. We have a kitchen where meals can be prepared from the veggies, eggs, honey, organic meat and produce from the property.
