Kia Ora to you Please come stay so you can get to know some Aucklanders and our inner city fun and funky neighbourhood, I really appreciate having people to stay from Helpx to help with some of the jobs of maintaining an old wooden villa and garden. The garden is based on permaculture principles. My home is in Grey Lynn in a central part of Auckland. Close to cafes, bars, and the Auckland Zoo.The bus route is excellent. I also have bikes you can use to get around the city. You will be sharing our house with us and have your own room. I run Air BnB in the other rooms so there will be other guests in the house. Many are on the Working Holiday Visa looking to establish themselves and get sorted when they arrive or are leaving New Zealand. We like to cook and eat together when it suits everyone. Ours is a busy social house and you can be part of what is going on - if that suits you. The kitchen, laundry and bathroom are all shared with the other guests and of course you. The H...

We live with our 3 young children on a farm just before Ngunguru on the famous Tutukaka Coast. Our property is 42 hectares filled with native bush, waterfalls, recent pine and manuka plantings, streams and pastures. There is lots to explore on our property and the surround coastlines. We have some cows, chicken and pigs on the wee plot, along with countless native birds. There is a free standing cottage on the property which is currently being tenanted, and currently a tiny house is being built on leased land in a corner of our property. Attached to the house is a guest bedroom and bathroom which gives you privacy and space. In exchange for meals and board, we would appreciate help on the farm with gardening, landscaping, weeding, planting natives and other projects we have on the farm. We can either do 4 hours help a day, or combine sessions, to have days off. Any experience with farming and horticulture would be appreciated but is not required. We have a million and one ideas and...

Kia ora, travellers! Haere mai - welcome to my whare (home) in beautiful Honeymoon Valley, surrounded by native rainforest, birds and insects. We built this eco-earth house using local clay from right under our feet. This land used to be just grass, but after 30 years of caring for this whenua, it now has mature trees, orchards, and organic gardens. Life here is peaceful and quiet, perfect for enjoying nature I am part of the local Landcare group, helping protect our native forest, birds, lizards, and insects. We trap predators and remove invasive weeds. You could help with organic/permaculture gardening: vegetables, flowers, herbs, fruit trees, chickens, mowing, brush-cutting, compost-making, maintenance and fixing things (basic carpentry, painting), sewing, cleaning, chopping firewood. I bake bread. I make apple cider vinegar, bottle fruit, jam, chutney, sauerkraut, and collect seeds. The current to-do list includes building a roof in front of the chicken coop and another in front...

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

We are an operating farm. Mostly silviculture. We farm mostly trees. We are situated in one of the largest Cork Tree areas in the world.Mediterranean forest ecoystems are considered one of the most important ecosystems right after Virgin Forests. We also have lots of pine trees both for lumber and also for pine nuts. Cork and pine nut trees are a very sustainable resource as their lifespan is over 200 years and they produce cork and pine nuts during that time. We pride ourselves for being an environmentally responsible farm and we enjoy teaching volunteers and visitors about what we do. We are a Forest Stewardship Council certified farm. FSC is a worldwide recognized organization that certifies socially and environmentally respectful organizations like ours, that harbour and follow, strict guidelines for workers, neighbouring populations and the environment. We are audited on a regular basis. Hello and welcome to our profile :). If you are reading this and are interested in helping out please do get in touch. Our limited places get booked up very quickly - especially during the summer months. If you are not available until later on and would like to reserve a place with us please drop us a message and we will chat and try and save your preferred dates. Ideally, a minimum commitment of at least one month is necessary. It takes about 2 weeks to settle in and learn things plus shorter stays do not allow you to fully appreciate all that is on offer in our beautiful area. In the past we have many volunteers who regretted not being able to stay longer. This is the beating heart of the Scottish West Highlands - take time to breathe and enjoy it. Katie and I own a small 'crofting' home in a tiny village called Lochailort and we need help all year round. A reasonably good understanding of the English language is necessary. This location is not ideal for improving or learning E...

Hello, I'm traveling by inland river barge through Europe, especially France, Belgium and Holland. The barge is an original Dutch built peniche and made for the old French channels. I still transport cargo and I am the third generation of a shipper family from both sides of my parents. I live and work alone on the barge sometimes accompanied by my girlfriend. There is a simple separate -little- room (see photo..) for guests in the front of the barge which is not suite. (no sanitation, but there is a chemical toilet and lavabo) Also a heating system, fridge/freezer and micro-wave. The work to do depends on the person, maybe some cleaning, housekeeping work, shopping and cooking??? And serving the aperitif of the skipper of course at 18h00 exactly..LOL. My intention is to make contact with other people and have an exchange of cultures. Kind regards, William * * * * * * * * * * * * Plans for 2025 : ** Actually I’m working -my first experience ever- on a bigger river-barge fro...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. PLEASE NOTE WELL: we absolutely cannot host anyone with any pre-existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions), such as hay fever, any other allergies, sensitivities or intolerances. Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) , please don't come if you have a heavy cold or flu, I'm involved with the elderly. Cheers Al

Hello. I’m Paolo, a recently retired musician. I live in a mountain area made of rounded, wooded peaks in the inland of the Italian Riviera, at the point of connection between two regions, Tuscany and Liguria, widely renown for art towns (Pisa, Lucca, Florence among others) and picturesque fishing villages. It’s a quiet setting to get away from it all, with a 360 degree view stretching for tens of miles and right down to the Mediterranean Sea, only 25 km/15 miles away. Here is where the Alta Via (High Route of the Ligurian Mountains) starts, a long-distance waymarked hiking trail for nature lovers. I speak Italian (native), English (fluent) and French (fluent). I’m looking for volunteers who are self-motivated and good with their hands, willing to help me with general maintenance around my property in exchange for food and lodging in a friendly environment. I appreciate a baggage of life experience that is not too small, so volunteers in their mid to late twenties at least and in t...

hello, I prefer requests that are for the near future, I don't like to plan too far ahead. This is an organic farm on a sheltered inlet, with horses, sheep, chickens, orchards, & gardens.. Needing help with keeping the grounds beautiful, repairs, building projects, harvesting, weeding, pruning, planting, and animal care. Near a busy village, bicycles offered, canoes, there are buses to take you around the island, hiking, swimming, artisans, markets. Sunsets are wonderful. The seaside jewel cabin is located in a private seaside spot with it's own bathhouse and kitchen nearby. The exchange is to volunteer 1.5 hrs. per day without food supplied. The work involves cleaning up after the horses or sheep (scooping poop) in the barn or on the grounds, then various projects for the balance of 1.5 hrs. You can get a part time job on Saltspring as many jobs are available. This island is very popular with the biggest problem being lack of accommodation, so helping at the farm gives you that preci...

Check out our fantastic reviews to see what a great time helpers have had here. We offer a warm, welcoming home with a beautiful garden in easy-going Rotorua. PLEASE READ OUR PROFILE CAREFULLY BEFORE CONTACTING US. UPDATE: 🌟 We could really do with a strong, willing person to assist with a complete re-roof job in the first week of June. Helping Marcus to lift materials up to the roofer. 🌟 Early August, and energetic person to support Marcus in the madness and clean-up of our living area when builders rip down the old ceiling, and replace it with a new one! Then to help paint the new ceiling (Marcus can patiently teach you how to be an excellent painter). Minimum age: 25, with good English. Accommodation: Excellent accommodation - immaculate Airbnb standard room and house. Your own private double bedroom in a spacious home with a lovely garden. Hi there! My dad and uncle own a much too big house with a huge field in Sandl, somewhere between Munich, České Budějovice and Vienna. Because empty houses are silly, I moved there in October 2025. During my own travels, which started in 2016, I encountered a lot of hospitality all over the world and now is my time to return the favor. I'm fluent in English, (Austrian) German and Spanish and I'm always eager to learn/teach/share languages, knowledge or whatever. Main Jobs: It's hard to mention something specific here. If you like cooking, I'm happy to have a cook. If you like cleaning - well no one really likes cleaning. There is also plenty of work outside in the garden and the veggie patch. And if that sounds very boring, you are welcome to invent your own task. For me it's important, that you find joy in what you are doing. Just get in touch and we can talk about expectations and intentions, preferably during some online video call. Please suggest a date, time and platform in...

We are located on Vancouver Island in the foothills below the Comox Glacier, 6 km. from the ocean and have hosted travelling helpers for 20 years. Accommodation is a rustic and basic bright loft in the bicycle building workshop. (Unheated but with plenty of quilts and a hot water bottle, plus the house is warmed with a cozy wood cook stove in cool weather.) We have several garden plots, a greenhouse, fruit trees, a walnut tree and chickens. I am a writer, a folk musician and a community and social justice advocate and Ross is a peace activist, an alternative bicycle designer, specializing in electric power assist bicycles and utility cycling. He is also a land survey technician. It is our mission to provide visitors from all over the world with an authentic experience of the unique atmosphere and culture of our home in Canada’s far North. As a well-established tourism company, we are diversifying our impacts and create a more resilient business. Doing this is not only fulfilling our long-term mission of developing a self-sustaining Arctic Eco-Village, but also investigating innovative solutions to major obstacles facing communities in the North: food and housing insecurity, decolonizing our economy, capacity development and cultural revitalization. Sustainable farming is not the only focus we have here, but we are continuously developing ideas and trying new farming methods. We are happy to find people from all over the world who are as motivated as we are to make living in the Arctic more sustainable. Organic methods: In the summer time, when we enjoy 24 hour sunshine, we grow our plants in greenhouses without the use of any chemical/artificial fertilizers....

WHO ARE WE? We are a French couple living in Brittany, in a small rural village in the beautiful Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel. We live in a peaceful, natural setting, surrounded by hedged farmland, hiking trails, and wild spaces. On our 3,000m² property, we plan to gradually develop an eco-friendly and welcoming project: creating and maintaining a vegetable garden, planting and caring for fruit trees, landscaping green spaces, and installing educational ponds to promote biodiversity. Our goal is to increase our food self-sufficiency and create a vibrant, eco-friendly, and pleasant place to share. We are looking for a motivated WWOOFer to join us in these projects: soil preparation, gardening, maintenance, small DIY projects, and participation in the daily life of the property. No expert skills are required—a desire to learn, share, and work outdoors is all we need! We ask for 2 hours of tasks per day (tasks to be completed freely throughout the day). We milk 70 cows, and 600 goats and work about 400 acres. Now that I have full time staff doing the majority of the milking and barn work, the work is mostly in the workshop and the fields. We always have an interesting project on the go so I particularly enjoy hosting helpers with engineering or mechanical backgrounds.. I enjoy inventing things and automation, with a well equipped (though somewhat disorganized) workshop. Planning to clear some land this summer so someone with heavy equipment experience would be great. Have a barn renovation and equipment installation coming up, so give me a shout if you’re a carpenter or mechanic! Have been hosting engineering students for their internship abroad the last few summers, has been a great experience, they are always welcome. This is a small project in a heritage farm house in beautiful Lower Saxony. We are,at the moment, three people, two cats and some chickens. We speak German, English, French and Spanish. Our house is in the middle of the village, and we enjoy the contact to the people around us. We've got an idyllic yard and sometimes do parties or small cultural events - this year, we are taking a break though to concentrate on some bigger building projects. Otherwise, we cook together, or just hang out. Most of us are working/studying, so you might spend some time alone around the house - or you can go swimming in our local swimming pool, biking or hiking around the village or visit the World Heritage sites in nearby Hildesheim! Help needed around the year would mainly be renovation/restoration, e.g. plastering, painting, maybe some carpentry (as in improving the chicken coop or, if you feel like it, restoring old furniture), but we are also happy if you help with the house work, the garden, or cooki...

We live with our 3 young children on a farm just before Ngunguru on the famous Tutukaka Coast. Our property is 42 hectares filled with native bush, waterfalls, recent pine and manuka plantings, streams and pastures. There is lots to explore on our property and the surround coastlines.

We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees.

We are happy to find people from all over the world who are as motivated as we are to make living in the Arctic more sustainable. This is a small project in a heritage farm house in beautiful Lower Saxony. We are,at the moment, three people, two cats and some chickens. We speak German, English, French and Spanish.
