We are on an 70 acre farm in North Pope County, Illinois and are virtually surrounded by the Shawnee National Forest. Having been on this farm for 13 years, we are still developing infrastructure and are continuing to plant in the orchard and various berries as well as establishing and expanding garden and crop areas. We are a GMO, herbicide and pesticide free farm in all of our outdoor areas. As we are far away from "modern agricultural" property, we feel that we should have no problems with cross pollination of our crops with GMO's or damage/exposure from/to ag chemicals. There are many projects currently in process or in the planning stages. This summer/fall we hope to get new water and electric lines ran to all the barns and the greenhouse as well as get a fiber studio framed in and get the finishing touches on the greenhouses. Tasks on the farm are endless, so there are always things to do year round. Clearing brush, cutting wood, building fence, baling hay, sawing lumber, ...

We have a vineyard, olive trees and vacation houses near Tropea in Calabria. We need a couple to help us for some week from september to june for vintage, olive harvest, gardening, general maintenance and internet announcements. In autumn, winter and spring we have a lot to do in the vineyard, with the olive trees, the house and garden. Accommodation in a full equipped chalet offered. It is better to COME WITH CAR or rent it here. We expect you to work 2 and half hours a day (16-20) hours a week. You should buy and cook your food. We are used to give local products and teach you how to prepare traditional dishes. We appreciate if you work more hours on weekends because we are at home. You have a free day in the week. If we have time, we can show you around our region and our white sandy beaches. We would be glad to welcome people from all over the world to our home. We prefer couples. Feel free to write us an Email! It's possible to contact us early, that's not a problem!

Hello Potential Volunteers My name is Paul and it was my dream to change my lifestyle from being an office worker to becoming an alpaca farmer.... here we are 14 years later with 100 alpacas, each individually cherishes with names and unique personalities, plus an assortment of other animals all needing our love :) I have three children: Liam (21), Dylan (9) and Oscar (6), and our 100-acre farm is home to approx.100 alpacas, plus llamas, peacocks, hens, mini pigs, a cat named Sexy, and our farm dog Malta. This year we are expecting 20 'cria' (baby alpacas) and each one will need our help so they can thrive! We need to ensure they get colostrum (filled with antibodies and vital for good health) – have they fed from their mums within the first 24hrs? Are they then drinking enough milk from their mums every day? Are they gaining weight? The well-being of my animals is the most important thing on the farm. Do they have good food and enough water, and the best possible natural environme...

Hello, I live in the beautiful Charente region 16140, and am looking for help with all sorts of jobs, from feeding the donkeys and other animals to painting and helping in the garden 😊 I am slowly bringing this lovely old château back to life after being empty and abandoned for many years. I enjoy growing my own organic vegetables and looking after my animals. I recently planted an orchard and have lots of other projects I'd love your help with. In the past I've shared some wonderful times with helpers, many of whom remain friends and have visited several times. In return I offer a comfortable bedroom in the chateau with 3 meals a day, and cooked as much as possible with our fresh produce. I would like your help for 5 hours a day with weekends off. There is lots to explore like little villages and towns and the river. The coast is about an hour's drive away. The Charente river is at the bottom of the garden and there are some lovely walks right outside the door, there are also b...

We have a project that we need help with. Nothing too complicated but plenty of it to do. We would love to have someone with building skills or at least a 'have a go attitude'. There is always gardening and house chores and it’s baby cow season so we will need you to check the cows each day. We will teach you. :) We have a small beef farm in the Southern Forests of Western Australia between Perth and Albany nearer to the coast. We enjoy the cultural exchange with our Helpers and enjoy helping them improve their English. We have had many Helpers over the years. There is lots of beautiful spots to visit around the area. If you don’t have a car we can loan you one on your time off if you are confident to drive - for only short distances around the area. And we have two cute but sometimes annoying little dogs Tiny and Teddy! :D If you are honest, have a good sense of humour and have a good work ethic then this could be the right experience for you. We are flexible and want this to be...

I have a lovely house and garden but it needs some work! I just need someone to assist with maintenance, diy, decorating, insulating- that kind of thing. There should be flexibility in tasks so we can find something that works for both of us. From here you can explore both London and Cambridge- it's a commuter town for both cities. There are also some quiet local nature reserves, walks and bike rides to experience the local countryside. It is a quiet area on the edge of town but the high street is about 10 mins walk and the station about 15 - 20 mins walk (I can usually collect people when they arrive). Usually I can accommodate couples as well as singles. I welcome all types of people and am lgbtq+ friendly. My values include authenticity, kindness and social & environmental justice. Can provide gluten free and/or vegan food on request. Sometimes I will cook and sometimes you may need to as I am out some evenings. The work would be 4 hrs,45 mins a day, 5 days a week and there ...

I need some help to renovate an old cottage (build in 1880): painting walls and ceilings; working with roof pans and mortar (from inside), help in the garden. Other families in my little village (100 persons) will ask also for help by you. I offer of course accomodation and food - but I am a lousy cook!!. Inside the house is still something like a construction site, so accomodation is a little bit primitiv.

Hey, hello you ! We are Caro and Chris, Zion and Kiara. We were travelling around the world since a gorgeous time until all this virus craziness happened. Caro, then Chris & Caro were backpacking, doing hitchhiking, etc... The beautiful wildlife. Then kids arrived in 2017 and 2019 so we mainly stayed travelling in Europe by van until they will be able to carry a little backpack ;) When the virus arrived, we were crossing Sweden. Everything became complicated with borders, shops and people so we decided to enjoy the strange time to build our home. We bought an over 300 years old stone house on a big peace of land which were abandoned and this new adventure started. Bretagne is a nice place full of culture, traditions, nice villages, forest and legends and history, and surrounded by the sea. After being helpers ourselves, we now want to be hosts too. We loved it so we expect people love it here too. Our kids are homeschooling with mainly their mother and we would be happy to have Eng...

Would like to learn and look after a vineyard, distillery and winery this season, no experience is necessary. Established in 1998 and hosting HELPXers for over 15 years, it is the only certified organic winery in the Perth region. It is situated in the Swan Valley, 7km from Elenbrook and 15km from the Perth airport. The vineyard has 3,000 vines, a large house we live in, a machinery shed, and a winery/distillery on the property. Winemaking occurs during the summer months from January to March. A large, spacious room with a double bed, attached to the house, has a private entrance. Applications for COUPLES or TWO people are open now. Opportunities for Autumn vineyard and maintenance work are available now, starting in April 2026. Couples with Visitor visas are also welcome. I want (NON-smoking) volunteers who wish to experience distillery, vineyard, and winemaking work. During the season, there are generally outdoor activities, such as winery and vine work, plus gardening if it i...

Namaste! Welcome to our farm and family. We are established as small organic farmers with our parents since 1995, working with Himalayan Permaculture Center based in Surkhet (western part of Nepal). We are a permaculture family with two generation, three of us have our PDC but we are all invested in our land. We are five and three of us speak quite good English but our parent English is simpler, so you will learn some Nepali! If you want to discover the traditional Nepali lifestyle and learn about culture and festival in the Katmandu valley, and also in the same time learn and share your knowledge about permaculture, you are at the good place! Only fifteen minutes by taxi from Thamel (you can also come by bus). You are more than welcome in this nice place that looks like a village. On our land, we grow many different classic vegetables (Tomato, cucumber, peas, potato, onion, garlic…) and we also grow some cereals (wheat, rice…) using Fukuoka system(No Tilling Farming) and System of R...

Our home is inhabited by three humans and Hank the cat. The humans are Rebecca, an enthusiastic French-American and Mantas, a hard-working lanky Lithuanian, and the newest addition to the team is their baby, Havah. We are inviting anyone motivated and interested in the following : Are you looking to get (back) in shape while learning useful skills related to self sufficiency and homesteading ? Or maybe you'd be more interested in learning new languages, discussing philosophy and making art in a fervently mystical corner of the world. As Henry Miller put it, the Valley of Dordogne : "this great peaceful region of France will always be a sacred spot for man and that when the cities have killed off the poets this will be the refuge and cradle of the poets to come." If any of those things pique your interest, this might be the place for you. We have tons of ideas on how to improve our homestead as well as manifest durable sustainable and autonomous solutions for food production and human d...

Vacancy from Tuesday 2 April. We require help with DIY repairs and maintenance, timber work, upgrading a dinghy to fit a roof and remote steering, repairs to trailer and for help with early morning gardening, housekeeing, cooking and dog walking on the beach. We are looking for reasonably good DIY handymen and women, capable of working effectively, when necessary, on your own or as a pair and, ideally, someone who also has some gardening experience, but that is not really necessary, learn on the job! 😉👍. So you need to be a "morning person" who is happy to start work at 07.00 hr, at least five mornings a week, not a night-owl. This is to avoid the heat of the afternoons at this time of year, mornings ca n be beautiful. Much of the work will be outside, based out of a well-equipped, air-conditioned, woodworking workshop and/or in our vegetable garden and hen and duck coops, just over 100 meters from a very quiet, sandy beach.🧜‍♂️ Opportunities on your day off include fishing...

We are a family run home, perfect for the 1st time volunteer. Natural horsemanship is a real factor here if you want to learn more. Our mentors being Buck Brannaman, Steve Halfpenny and Ken Falkner. A safe environment for your 1st time away from home. You do not need any knowledge of horses but you do need to love dogs, they are a major part of the family and are constantly with us all 8 of them, dalmations, vizslas and 2 weimararners, and they do jump all over you. Constant appaloosas is a small holding where we breed and train horses for ourselves and occasionally others. We have help exchange programs running throughout the year for interested students of all ages. Vet students get a really good grounding here. What we expect from you, conduct yourself in an open and friendly manner, engage in all aspects of life on the farm and seize all opportunities with enthusiasm, avoid rude and disrespectful behaviour to people horses and dogs. Basically show respect to people and our home,...

Hola todas! My place is an old grain mill with half a hectare of land. I live here for more than 17 years and hosted many volunteers. Work is mostly in the garden. Weeding, digging, planting, watering, harvesting and off course eating. There is a big cat family living on the land. Help in the kitchen is welcome. Special dietary requirements must be met by the helpers. In the area there are many activities possible. More yoga teachers than there are yoga students. Meditations, dancing, healing, massage, channeling, singing,....! Many communities of all sorts (hippy, midwives, subud, soefie). Hiking in all directions. Even skiing starting beginning of December. I try to keep a healthy environment, so no drugs that cloud your spirit. No dogs either. People mostly stay between one and two weeks. Work is about 5 days a week, 4 hours a day. Food and lodging included. Flexible. Work depends on peoples abilities. Any questions? Always happy to explain! Ruud

Hi Everybody and thank you for your interest! WE HAVE SPACE from start of MARCH onwards AND YOU COULD STAY WITH US DURING WONDERFUL WINTER or SPRINGTIME. Are you proactive (meaning you see if something has to be done, and not waiting until we bring the plates and serve the food)? Are you willing to live between dogs and horses? You get no panic attacks when you get dirty? Can you stand a child that has its own mind? Do you know how to use a brush, a broom, a sponge, a dish washer, and some other useful tools... Are you open minded enough to live in a surrounding that does not have a routine, so e.g. having dinner in the late afternoon or not knowing what will be tomorrow? You do not need a new introduction into to-do`s every day as you can memorize them? If all answered "yes", continue! Or are you waiting to be served, and permanently, also during meals or sitting on a horse, looking at your mobile? Locking yourself in your room until invited for Lunch? Like to live in your room for ...

We are a clifftop ecological microfarm on a quarter acre at the westernmost tip of the stunning Beara peninsula in West Cork, Ireland. We have a large family garden that sells small amounts on the side, and our project for 2026 is to turn it into a larger market-gardening business focused on salad-vegetable production. We are looking for help starting in March, when our selling season begins. There will be loads of sowing, planting, weeding, harvesting, and prepping to be done! As well as wheelbarrowing in manure and making and turning compost heaps. My background is in biology and organic horticulture, so if you want to learn about bio-intensive market gardening, geek out about soil biology, and gain some experience on a tiny scale, I am happy to share all I know. At the same time, we are fixing up a small hut as a short-term rental, so if you are interested in carpentry, pouring a new concrete roof, painting, or replacing windows, there is loads of fun to be had. Ideally, you wil...

A room is available for your homestay. Because of the help I would like to ask, mature ladies who have enough experience/knowledge of handling house holding chores and cooking are welcome. No problem if you cannot cook Japanese dishes. Vegetarian is welcome only from summer to autumn. It's easy to talk about next step of your homestay if how long from when, how you can help, what you want to do during homestay in addition to help works are written in your request. I will reply to only applicants who read my profile and understand/satisfy requirements. I'm a 67 years old male living alone and have a small private organic vegetable garden. I am happy if someone can help me to maintain vegetable garden and household chores including cooking. I also can enjoy helping my guest to learn Japanese language. We can visit at sightseeing places/aesthetic landscape when we have free time. At the same time, I'm interested to hear your stories about helpx and learn foreign languages as well ...

Hei ! Here is Ingunn and Mathieu. We are a Norwegian-French couple and since mai 2021 a happy family of three. Our family house "Karnes Gaard" is a farm since the 16th century. In 1912, Ingunn's grand father gave part of the land for the Tromsø county to build "Solhov", prestigious boarding school and largest wooden building north of Trondheim. When Ingunn took over the farm in 2009, running it organically felt something obvious. And when Solhov was for sale the next year, a dream became possible : sharing our love for the Lyngen Alps by hosting guests who seek breathtaking surroundings, healthy stay and organic local food, peaceful lifestyle and carbon-free activities. Our dream is to serve as much as possible our organic and local products to these guests. Originally we grow potatoes and strawberries. We are trying several small scale production to see what is possible to grow here up north. At the moment, we are focusing in : - increasing our honeybees park, hives and flowers -...

Hello, I live in Durham, which is part of "The Triangle," along with Raleigh and Chapel Hill. This area has an amazing amount of outdoor and cultural activities. You can subscribe to the "Triangle on the Cheap" newsletter to see daily listings of the various festivals, music, farmer's markets, sports events and other activities in the area. And my daughter and I can also give you ideas of things to do. The Raleigh-Durham airport (RDU) is 15 minutes away, and I can pick you up or drop you off at the airport, but to visit the wide range of activities in our area, you'll probably want your own transportation. In addition, I can provide a bike, and you can hop on the 27 mile American Tobacco bike trail which is only half a mile from my house, and three miles down the trail is Southpoint Mall, which is one of the nicest malls in the whole Triangle, with great shops, restaurants and a movie theater, so it's fun to bike there. There are also 2 Amtrak stations nearby in Durham and Cary, and m...

We are Murielle and Luc living in Auvergne in a hamlet in the Livradois-Forez Regional Natural Park at 750 m above sea level. The house is surrounded by forests and grasslands. We live 10 mn by car from the city of Ambert and 1H15 from Clermont-Ferrand. Our life is simple. We enjoy nature, animals, gardening, and hiking with our donkeys. We like peace and quietness. We have hens, ducks, rabbits, cats, one turtle, guinea pigs and donkeys. Our pets are rescue animals and we are very attentive to their needs and well being. We also have a very small apiary.

Welcome to our recently established language center nestled in Haiphong, where we offer English and IT classes at affordable rates, catering to individuals who seek educational opportunities beyond the reach of traditional centers in the city. Our diverse clientele includes university students, working professionals, and children of varying ages, including underprivileged youths from rural areas whom we empower through English education. Not merely a place of learning, our center doubles as a communal space where both local and international volunteers reside and collaborate. Local volunteers generously contribute their time by preparing meals and providing support during classes, ensuring a nurturing environment for both learners and volunteers alike. To join our mission, volunteers are required to commit to a minimum three-week stay in Haiphong, possess fluency in English, and possess some teaching experience.

The first bus leaves from Apollon at 7 in the morning and tha last at 18.00. The first from Naxos Town leaves at 9.00 and the last at 3.30. That's in the high season (July and August).
