Hi! I'm Tonje and I moved to my farm in 2020. And there's always a lot to do here. This small farm is in a very small town, by the fjord in Hardanger. Its a good place for hiking and culture. The area is quiet and scenic. The closest cities are Odda and Bergen. The bosses of the house are 4 dogs and 3 cats. Right now I don't have any farm animals of my own. But the neighbor's sheep live here too. I would have been very grateful for various help on my small farm. The work can be very varied. We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. The accommodation is a room with access to guest bathroom and garden. It has a very comfortable queen size bed. You would also be welcome to use the laundry and kitchen. We are very close to beaches, 15 min walk to Freshwater beach, a short bus or walk to Manly and public transport to the CBD. Hello, and thank you for looking at our page/profile! We are looking for a helper (1 person) during springtime (2026) for a 2 week period, maybe longer. Starting in May and continue through the summer and fall. We would like help inside and outside and with plenty of gardening and watering of the garden. Outdoor work includes keeping the gardens tidy, cutting and trimming of trees and mowing the lawn. Also the helper must be able to lift and haul fireplace wood and (ideally) know the use of a chain saw but not necessary. All these tasks we do together. Further work includes simple window washing, exterior window and door painting. Saturday house cleaning, gardening, pool cleaning, ironing sheets for the rentals, etc. We are chefs from New York City so we offer great food and comfortable accommodation though we do not do cooking classes to our helpx friends.
