Autonomy for everyone, especially for you and us at mealtime ... Resources are shared according to the availability of the moment. More possibilities if my children are not there, less if I have other guests ... fortuitous ... In the meantime we have no shortage of space in the garden to let you plant your tent or you lend a space... This is the minimum we can guarantee. A cabin is also available on the family sailboat ... Here too, there is work ... The room with double bed of the house is not often free for our helper sometimes the chance does things well, ask what you want, we are in French Polynesia climate is stable all year ;-) We will not ask for more than 2 or 3 hours of help a day in exchange we plan to lodge without food, although fruits from the garden are still part of the tradition of sharing the house... It's up to you to do your shopping and your dish washing and cleaning up after, the load will be in our situation not equitable otherwise.

Kia ora We are Walter and Julia and together we have an eight year old daughter Clara. We live in Glenbervie Whangarei on a 11ha lifestyle block. We milk our own house cows (raw dairy is part of our daily diet). We also have beef cattle, chickens, a dog and one cat. We have one property in town which we run as a guesthouse and we occasionally need help to keep gardens tidy and general housekeeping. But main tasks will be on our lifestyle block. Help needed with: * fencing * moving stock * feeding calves * gardening (mainly leaf raking at this time of the year), weeding, weed spraying * gutter clearing * window cleaning * painting a barn And lots of other things. An open mind and enthusiasm are key attributes we're looking for in our helpers. Our place is great for people who would like to learn more about raw milk and how to process milk into butter, cheese or ice cream. Yum! We ask for 8h/day with next day off. Meals and bedroom with shared bathroom provided. Beautiful quiet pr...

We are on an 70 acre farm in North Pope County, Illinois and are virtually surrounded by the Shawnee National Forest. Having been on this farm for 13 years, we are still developing infrastructure and are continuing to plant in the orchard and various berries as well as establishing and expanding garden and crop areas. We are a GMO, herbicide and pesticide free farm in all of our outdoor areas. As we are far away from "modern agricultural" property, we feel that we should have no problems with cross pollination of our crops with GMO's or damage/exposure from/to ag chemicals. There are many projects currently in process or in the planning stages. This summer/fall we hope to get new water and electric lines ran to all the barns and the greenhouse as well as get a fiber studio framed in and get the finishing touches on the greenhouses. Tasks on the farm are endless, so there are always things to do year round. Clearing brush, cutting wood, building fence, baling hay, sawing lumber, ...

.Hilary and I live in a 3 bedroom strawbale house which we built with the help of family, friends and HelpX. After three years of fun and hard work, the house was finished in 2012. In 2020 we decided to have another affair with strawbale. In a paddock near the house we built "Lockdown Cottage"; a 10 square meter, single room retreat. The buildings are on just over 6 hectares and we have sheep, goats, a cat, honey bees, native tree plantings, an orchard, soft fruits and nut trees. Our 4 goats are used as pack animals and we share many adventures in the mountains. We are now training another 3 goat kids to follow in our foot steps. We grow and make as much of our own food as possible; bread, cakes, pickles, yoghurt and jams are created in the kitchen, vegetables and fruit come out of the garden and meat comes from our animals. Helpx helpers can either sleep in our house - there is a large bedroom with a double bed, or in Lockdown cottage which is 1 minutes walk from the house. Lockdo...

For over 20 years, we have hosted backpackers happy for a chance to take a break from travelling for a few months. We require 2 days’ work per week on Tuesdays and Fridays. Most of the work is either gardening: including raking, digging, mulching, weeding and removing dead or fallen branches; or housekeeping: spring cleaning the main Homestead, or washing windows, cleaning gutters or decobwebbing around our guest cottage. Also there are general tasks like collecting firewood or filling pot-holes in the driveway. The work is not exciting, but the environment is beautiful! In exchange, our helpers live rent-free in their very own, private bluestone cottage (pictured); with a full-sized kitchen, double bedroom with ensuite bathroom, and separate living/dining room with wood fire, TV and free Wi-Fi; and a lovely big verandah. Electricity, gas and water are all included free, as well as linen, towels, crockery, cutlery and cookware. As we only ask for 2 days’ work per week, our helpe...

Cleaner wanted. I live on a rural property 20 minutes drive from Darwin. There is always plenty of work to be done and I could use a hand. At the moment there is lots of cleaning around the house and some gardening. I have 1-2 rooms available. I am offering accommodation only for 2 hours work per day. Other things to do include bird watching, crocodile watching. At last count we had 14 fresh water crocodiles. Bush walks. I do tend to do my own thing in the evenings so someone who is somewhat self sufficient would probably be the best fit The property is 20 minutes by car to Darwin so it is a good landing spot to explore Darwin further. For the right people I can offer a day excursion out to a cattle station to fish or ride around in a buggy and see some more of the territory or some other 4wd adventure. This would depend largely on my availability and what I am doing that weekend. Your own transport is better. There is a bus stop about 900m away but the service around Darwin is ...

Currently UNAVAILABLE. We have been overwhelmed with interest apologies for not replying to everyone. Next availability likely to be mid July. Hello, and welcome to beautiful Darwin. We are offering accommodation in exchange for home help. We live in a lovely elevated home in a great suburb, a would like to share the experience with the right people in exchange for help in the house, garden, and sometimes the boat. We are a happy and energetic family of three (plus one goofy dog) and while we all have very busy schedules, we also like to help our guests experience all the best that Darwin has to offer. We have welcomed travelers a number of times before, and it has been great :-) We expect three hours of work per day per person, five days a week. This does not include meals, although you will have full use of our open plan kitchen and your own fridge. Our home is in a great spot, walking distance to beach, markets, cafes, bars, supermarket, library and public transport. We have a large...

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . Located 12 minutes the pristine beach’...

Hi, welcome to NZ, and hopefully to Kōpuaranga, Masterton! We are located just a 1.5 hour drive north of Wellington off State Highway 2. Masterton is central to a lot of walks, mountains rivers and coastline and some beach/ surf communities too. We also have a beach house that we sometimes do work on as well. Our home is a kilometre from any other house, so a rural experience, views and usually a great night sky are guaranteed - yet still only a ten minute drive to our service town of Masterton which has rail links to Wellington. An easy pick up or drop off if you do not have your own vehicle. We have a river boundary with trout and eels, and it is great for a speedy dip on the hot days before the nature gets too curious! We have now been on this property a year and so much has been achieved with HelpX travel friends, but we are only half way through... Outside we are building pens, raising chickens and sheep, adding some more raised beds and laying out a productive garden with s...

⭐️ About our project⭐️ We are a small community school located in Tnol Trong Village, just 13km away from Siem Reap, Cambodia. The school is a registered non-profit NGO, founded in February 2013 by my lovely family. Cambodia is seeing a strong growth in the tourism industry, which will provide an increasing number of employment opportunities in the future, especially for the children around the Siem Reap area and for a career in tourism, English is essential. That’s why our school has one clear goal: to give children from disadvantaged backgrounds free access to English and Chinese education, helping them gain a real chance to access future job opportunities. Our school currently offers FREE English lessons to nearly 180 children from the Bakong community. Many of the local families struggle with basic needs like food, water and health related costs, let alone getting the kids to attend class, afford mandatory school fees and uniforms. Education is often their only real chance to b...

I live in Kuranda, but travel often so plenty of opportunities to see new places. I'm a beekeeper that works between Cairns and Cooktown. This time of year my work is situated north of cairns so there plenty opportunity to explore north were not alot of tourist go. The work involves collecting bee hives for honey extraction and queen bee rearing this gives us plenty of time to explore. In spare time we can go to the local Rivers (Baron Gorge), local swimming holes or hiking. Task also involve house work and gardening. This is for those of you who plan ahead. We are full until mid July, right at the start of our best fishing season and in the middle of our best weather when at least some of the time we should be cutting great timber from unwanted trees using a 26 inch/56cm bandsaw. So anyone who loves fishing, snorkelling on inshore reefs and is good at DIY or carpentry and loves the simple, quiet, rural life by the beach, next to the rainforest, this is for you 🤗. We appreciate help with DIY construction, repairs and maintenance, timber work, boat work, metal work repairs to trailers and for help with gardening, housekeeing, cooking, duck and chicken rearing and dog walking on the beach. Fishing, snorkelling, and rainforest walks can help occupy your spare time. We are looking for reasonably good DIY handymen and women, capable of working effectively, when necessary, on your own or as a pair and, ideally, someone who also has some gardening experience, but that is not really necessary, learn o...

We have an automotive country workshop where we fix and service cars, 4WDs, trailers, tractors and all sorts of machinery. In our spare time we look after our little farm, some sheep, some cattle and rabbits. We also have a forest where we work and tidy up occasionally. So we are always in need of a couple of helpful hands to support us. We love to get to know different cultures and people. We grow our own meat, fruit and vegetables. Gustav also brews his own beer and makes wine and cider and lately also green tea. A mature, non-smoking, self-organized person, preferable not a vegetarian, to give us a hand with house and land, would fit best into our lifestyle. You will have to join into our daily routines: breakfast is at around 7am and then we feed all the animals, especially the hungry dogs and work starts at 8am. We need to get everyone organized before customers arrive in the workshop. We expect about 4 hours work per day and we offer a nice room with a lovely warm bed, gr...

We are near the Shoalwater Marine Park and Penguin Island 40mins from Perth city centre. Very close to public transport, cafes and library. Ideal for beach walking, diving, swimming, cycling, fishing, sailing and windsurfing (beach is 60 metres away). Accommodation would take form of a fully insulated cute tiny garden room with access to undercover cooking area and bathroom. IT is small so please See photos. On week days we are usually working it Perth so we cant provide meals, but a well-stocked supermarket is 200 metres away. We average 2/3 hours a day painting, plumbing gardening and other repairs and can negotiate best time to do that, for example maybe it’s more convenient to do two longer days during the week. When you email please let us know when you plan to get to Perth and how you are travelling (flying in, driving or bus etc.). If you are already in Perth, where you are staying and how long you would like stay. We can send you more details when you enquire, including advi...

We are a nonprofit horse rehabilitation center that offers education on equine care. We need hands on to help with projects we are working on to complete as well as facility maintenance. Would love to have some energetic people that want to make a difference in horses lives here. It’s about helping these animals go from neglect to finding a forever home or live their lives in Sanctuary. You don't have to have experience we can teach you. If working hands on with horses is not your thing and you admire them there's lots of things you can still do to help them prepare for homes or help at the facility. What we are not: We are not a riding stables. We give lessons when able after all chores completed and trainer is here on certain days and during certain times of the year. So if your intention is to spend lots of time "in the saddle" we don't do that here. We aren't a "working ranch" for people to ride horses all day and move cattle, ride trails, etc. We are not a fancy stables ie: ...

Hi beautiful people! I’m Christine, a happy spirited former language and arts teacher working across two continents. Since I retired I work in the natural health field. I live on an urban block called The Roo‘s Pouch, where I maintain a sustainable vegetable garden and created a community of nice people living with me. I live in one of the buildings on this sunny property which runs on rainwater harvesting. We avoid chlorine and contaminates by filtering, harmonizing, and energizing our own water though Ionisation. Water conservation is part of life for me. You can come to Maryborough via plane, bus or train. The Hervey Bay Airport is only 30min from my home. There are meanwhile several bus companies to choose from. If you use the train please book Maryborough town from the drop down menu. The shuttle bus from the train station in Maryborough west (20 min out of town) is free of charge if it is pre-booked. As international travelers you qualify for a concession card on Queensland tra...

Our very friendly home on the Sunshine Coast is a lovely old traditional timber Queenslander full of character set on 1 and 1/2 acres of a bush block, high on a ridge. We are centrally located between the beach and the hinterland. The nearby town of Nambour is on the train line linking Brisbane north to Cairns. We are about 1 to 1 and a half hours north of Brisbane by car.Train a little longer. It's a very quiet and peaceful place, surrounded by bush and gardens with lots of bird life. Opposite is a bushland reserve with walking tracks to the nearby town. The household leads busy, healthy, creative and flexible lives. Amongst other things we are interested in Art, Craft, Yoga, Meditation, Ayurveda, Travelling, Social Justice, Animal Welfare and Sustainable Living. We enjoy hosting and welcoming travellers into our relaxed unconventional household..(Kay has been a WWOOFING host for over 15 years)....We enjoy getting to know people and introducing them to this beautiful region of ...

If you’re interested in helping on a beef cattle farm, cuddling foals and experiencing the Aussie farm life, you are most welcome here. We have a number of building jobs going at the moment so if you are handy with mechanics, metal, wood or a paint brush, that would be very helpful to us. Your daily tasks would be to feed the animals in the morning and evening, and caring for the mare and foal, gardening and general farm chores or in the household. There is always something to do. It would be great if you know how to drive a manual vehicle and you can learn to drive a tractor or a quad here. In exchange you can choose between a cozy room or caravan with everything inside that you need and I provide food for all your meals. You prepare your own breakfast and lunch and in the evening we have a home cooked dinner together. We also have unlimited WiFi and a car that you can use to visit the local area. We are located on the edge of a small country town of Blayney in NSW, 3 hours w...

Currently accepting helpers for the 2026 farming season! We have space for July onwards! ***Please read the reviews below for an insight into what it’s really like!!!!*** More about what we do: We grow rice, cherries, apples, peaches, corn, pumpkins, cucumbers and soy-beans on our farm here in Murayama-Shi in the middle of the very beautiful Yamagata Prefecture in the north part of Japan. We grow a premium rice without chemicals and more labour intensive traditional methods which we sell direct to the customer. Our orchards unfortunately are not organic, but we are researching ways to substitute natural sprays. We have also opened a guesthouse and a mochi restaurant! We are a big (crazy) family: 3 generations, 9 people plus some local staff! Apart from my wife and I, my family only speaks Japanese! Everyone is very friendly, but you will definitely need a sense of humour, patience and a willingness to try to communicate. You would eat with the family (traditional Japanese food - s...

We are looking for someone to help us around the home, garden and farm. Ideally with horse experience but not essential, you will be checking livestock, feeding horses, pigs and general farm duties. I am also a naturopath and nutritionist so food is a big part of our lives, we eat essentially a paleo type diet. We are also eager to create a large organic vegetable garden and have other dreams for our farm and we need some help bringing them to life! We are a family owned and run an organic farm with around 1000 acres of land. Our farm is run regeneratively, with cattle, pigs and a few sheep and horses. We have hosted many people from overseas, have done a lot of travelling ourselves and love meeting new people. You will stay with us and be like part of our family. Both our girls are currently living overseas at the moment so just my husband and I (and our many pets!). We are around 4 hours from Sydney and 2 hours from Canberra in the beautiful Young and Hilltops region. Our clos...

Tēnā koutou, We are a French/Algerian/Kiwi family. We moved to the North of the South Island (Te Wai Pounamou) in 2023 and live on a four hectare property where there is lots to be done. Mathew is into agroecology, permaculture and conservation. He has experience running workshops and leading work groups. Rym is interested in Indigenous knowledge, community development and the disruption of the current economic system. We speak French and English at home. You would learn about the NZ rural lifestyle, agroecology and permaculture techniques, food conservation, pest control, and probably lots more. There are a range of tasks to be done, mainly gardening, fencing work, animal care (chickens and sheep) and fire wood cutting/stacking/moving. Possibly some small renovation tasks for those with the right skills. Tasks will depend on the season and what travellers are comfortable doing, as well as what they want to learn. An awesome 2 bedroom settlers cottage, which was built in the 1860s. It ...

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON. Need help with a garden clean up, at the moment. You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one rough headed, skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town. It is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay, 2 hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around.

Notre but à travers cette démarche est d’échanger sur nos expériences mutuelles, de partager des moments enrichissants et de vivre de belles rencontres. À plus ou moins court terme, nous souhaitons vivre le plus localement possible, grâce à nos cultur...

Kia ora! We're a family of 3 living on 1.5 acres in Waipapa, Kerikeri. We're in a central spot for everywhere special to the east, west, south and far north. There are many great places to see and visit nearby or take a day trip to. We prefer 2 helpers working 8 hours per week (per person) in exchange for accommodation in your own private cottage. It's clean and totally separate to our main house. Single helpers 12 hours per week. Available NOW and throughout June - July 2026. ---- Our property suits a couple who can work independently. You need your own vehicle to get around. Food and laundry are not provided. Previous helpers say our place is perfect to refresh after camping in the car/tent, great wifi and comfortable beds, private retreat, also central to everywhere north of Auckland. WHERE? Set in a beautiful rural location, but only 3 minutes' drive to Waipapa and 8 minutes' drive to Kerikeri. There's lots of fab places to enjoy nearby; waterfalls, beaches, lakes, hot pools,...

There is a mountain on my farm with lots of t...
