I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

I can't see the world, but the world can come see me. First and foremost, I want to thank all the helpers who came from United Kingdom-England, France, Belgium, Italy, China, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. Welcome Helpers. We are a family of 5 living in the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia. Sue is the founder of this place. Her daughter Ruth moved to the Hollow later as well as her husband Tim and their 2 daughters. Our hollow is quite with no neighbors in sight. There are no city lights, and you can see every star on a clear night! Our homestead consists of Sue's workshop/cabin, Tim & Ruth's cabin and one very small guest cabin. Also, there is a private guestroom with private entrance on the second floor above the workshop/cabin combination. . We have a lot you can be involved in, knowledge to share, friendships to build, and opportunities for growth. Below are our routines and some projects. We would love to involve you! - Caring for our honey bees, chickens, cats...

Hi there, I'm a 32 year old male renovating a house in a gorgeous location in south east Cornwall approx. a mile from a gorgeous strip of untouched national trust coastline. I'm looking for someone (preferably a semi-skilled tradesperson) to assist me in renovation and building work in exchange for food and accommodation in this beautiful area. I'm initially looking for someone for some weeks over the summer who wishes to explore Cornwall and enjoy the summer down here but I can potentially offer paid work for anyone wanting to stay longer. I'm a keen spearfisherman so happy to show you that and preferably you like fish that I catch regularly (bass, scallops, lobster to name a few). I also have a boat and fully kitted out woodworking shop. The location is very rural but has good links by ferry to the larger town of Fowey. A motorbike or e-bike would be a good way to get around as it is quite hilly! There is a great local community of events and a large number of young people in the ar...

Support/help us with sustainable education development for our children's future in Sanawari village. We believe that a child’s future success and advancement in life is greatly influenced by their early educational experience, as those who have go to school early develop an interest in education more than those who have not participated in early learning education. Learning how to get along in groups, work under teacher supervision, etc. They also receive encouragement to express their feelings and ideas through building, dancing, and drawing, playing, singing and speaking. And thus, at the end of their pre-school years, they have become more competent pupils and will be more advanced in some of their abilities and be ready to master their new environment in primary and secondary education. We are located at Sanawari village, Arusha. We hope that with volunteers support we can save and give hope through education to our children for future and other generation. HELP US We need a v...

Looking for helpers who can help for a minimum of two weeks, but helpers who can stay longer are preferred, we have a vacancy starting from the beginning of September. You will have your own separate, private, peaceful accommodation, with en-suite, washing machine and kitchen with beautiful views of rural land and Tasman Bay. Wi-Fi, power and water included, plus food allowance. You must be physically strong, hard-working, practical and fit, with plenty of stamina - as well as not being afraid of getting your hands dirty. Beautiful hill country sheep and cattle farm, with views of the sea and mountains. You must enjoy working with animals, be kind, respect and care for them. There is plenty to do all year around and depends on the season. Currently we are lambing which is always a special experience. We offer plenty of general farm work experience, tree planting, gardening, fire-wood splitting, weed-spraying and/or grubbing. There are always fencing and construction projects ...

Sorry folks, we are now fully booked until the beginning of April 2027. There may be a cancellation, but these are very rare, but if you are in the area, reach out, we love to chat :) As well as the normal homesteading tasks, if you want to learn about wine making, bee keeping, jewellery making, or take some self defence lessons we could be a great match. Have a think, take a look at our reviews and if you are interested, drop us a line, *** Our beautiful countryside homestead (only 5 acres so not really a farm) is in the mountainous hills above the historic castle town of Caccamo, Sicily. It is surrounded scraggy mountains and long valley walks. It is perfect for hiking or just relaxing in the sun with a good book. Within easy traveling distance for those interested in exploring this culturally rich island, is the seaside town of Cefalù or even the main capital city of Palermo, both are easily accessible by bus and train from the local town. I’m a single mum with shared custody of a wonderful 13 year old daughter, plus a little dog, looking for someone to join us from the end of July and stay for 6-8 weeks (or longer). I am self-employed in an import/export business, and have a large house and garden, the care of which get away from me without assistance. The help needed is mostly maintaining the garden and outside of the property, plus domestic tasks (dishes, cleaning etc) in the house. Someone who’s a bit handy and could undertake a few little fix-it jobs would be an added bonus. I work full-time, and sometimes need assistance to get Abigail to her various activities, so a full driver's license is required. My elderly mum occasionally needs to be driven places as well - she's a fun lady who provides vibrant and lively conversation. Abigail is pretty self-sufficient, and of course is only with me half the time, but she has a wide variety of interests and a zany sense of humour... she is easy to spend time with if you c...

Kia ora! We are a Te Reo Māori speaking family of 4 (our youngest is now 3yrs old) and are establishing ourselves on 38 acres. We're situated in Waitetuna, 15 min drive to the beautiful and funky surfing town of Raglan. Our vision is to convert a dairy farm into an organic oasis. We have a yurt, tiny houses and cabins. My partner Madelin and I have set up a local charitable trust that offers rites of passage for teenagers in the community and trains mentors and facilitators from around the country. We're looking for someone or a couple to stay with us and help in the māra kai (garden) and to support around the home with maintenance and building projects and with the children. We'd love to hear from you, Mauri Ora! Madelin, Tiaki, Tāwhai and Māhina

Our small farm (https://little-farm.com.au) sits in Northern Victoria, where we grow fruit and vegetables, plant trees, and learn as we go. Tim, a retired engineer, is always building or fixing something. Beth is a teacher and health practitioner who also teaches at university. She tends a rose garden of over 400 fragrant bushes. Early mornings here smell incredible. The property includes an organic vegetable garden, orchard, berries, herbs, and a music room with a baby grand piano. If you play, bring your instrument. We’re close to the Murray River. Big skies, glowing sunrises and sunsets, and rich birdlife surround us. Magpies are part of daily life here, in sound and in art across the farm. Nights are clear and full of stars. Many people arrive tired and leave feeling genuinely restored. What we’re looking for Willing, reliable help Someone who takes initiative and keeps shared spaces tidy A careful learner who asks when unsure You’ll be guided at first, then work more indepen...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Hello! Happy to host helpers for the autumn 2026 season, from about early October- welcome to Matsumoto! Mostly it's morning cleaning of our hostel and rental apartment - some days busy, some days more relaxed. Are you ready for a beautiful time in the mountains? Enjoy the famous castle and mountains around us. Come and enjoy the cleaner air of the mountains. All of the local mountains are easy to access and there are many cultural activities in Matsumoto city. We are a small independent hostel located in the base city for the Japanese Alps. We also have a small apartment near the famous National Treasure castle. Matsumoto city is a little university city with a chilled-out cosmopolitan student vibe. Delighted if you could volunteer for three weeks or more. Matsumoto is a great base from which to explore lots of history and beautiful nature. We, Shuko from Japan and Brian from Ireland run the hostel like a big family home - which the building was before we found it in 2013. Now...

I am an aquatic ecologist who has fortunately been working out of our coastal rain-forest property for 35 years. Driven by strong curiosity, I have recently been developing long-term data sets on the animal life in the forest that surrounds our home, plus on tropical marine fish that are steadily increasing in numbers under the influence of climate change at the nearby very beautiful Seal Rocks area (for details click on my website link below). We have 20 acres with 2 acres cleared and the remainder moist tall forest and rainforest. It is on the coast 3 hrs drive north of Sydney (1.5km from Smiths Lake; 30km south of Forster) See my blog link below to glimpse the accommodation, typical work and fun. We have a 180 squ m vegetable garden at times needing attention which has been enclosed to keep out our friends the wallabies (pademelons), possums, parrots and native bush turkeys. Bush regeneration is another activity as well as assisting in ecological surveys of local rivers when t...

Kia Ora to you Please come stay so you can get to know some Aucklanders and our inner city fun and funky neighbourhood, I really appreciate having people to stay from Helpx to help with some of the jobs of maintaining an old wooden villa and garden. The garden is based on permaculture principles. My home is in Grey Lynn in a central part of Auckland. Close to cafes, bars, and the Auckland Zoo.The bus route is excellent. I also have bikes you can use to get around the city. You will be sharing our house with us and have your own rooms. I run Air BnB in the other rooms so there will be other guests in the house. Many are on the Working Holiday Visa looking to establish themselves and get sorted when they arrive or are leaving New Zealand. We like to cook and eat together when it suits everyone. Ours is a busy social house and you can be part of what is going on - if that suits you. The kitchen, laundry and bathroom are all shared with the other guests and of course you. The H...

From Late-July we would particularly love to host one or 2 people to help out around the garden, plant nursery and farm/orchard....Gardening, carpentry, welding or physical labour skills are particularly helpful... Volunteers can use their time here to sign off for 7 days a week towards their 88 days 2nd or 3rd year visa sign off and we have helped many backpackers secure a second/third year visa as we are registered primary producers in the correct postcode (4854) for "disaster relief".

We work daily on various homesteadin...

I am currently looking for helpers, a couple would be great, so you don't get lonely. I live in the beautiful Noosa Shire, 25 minutes drive to some of the best surfing beaches in Australia. I am also close to Lake Cootharaba, which is a very popular sailing, swimming and boating haven. My 5 acre property is neighboured by National Parks providing picturesque hiking, wildlife and bird watching. I live on 5 acres in the bush but close to the wonderful communities of Boreen Point and Pomona. I have a few chooks and lots of bees which keep me busy. There is a swimming pool to cool off on a hot day. I am the Beekeeper, The Bottler and The Marketer so need help in all these duties. I also have a thriving organic garden that needs tending, a large property to maintain, sheds to build, chooks to feed etc, etc. I need help!!! I am happy to teach the art of beekeeping to anyone who is interested and keen to learn. I have been both a HelpX Host and a Helper in the past and thoroughly enjoyed m...

The H...

We live on an organic property with a house, charming old cottage that we Airbnb, extensive vegetable garden, tunnel house, fruit trees and food forest. The property is just outside Carterton. My husband is retired and I work in Wellington. Sometimes our young adult children stay and we have a dog called Charlie. It is rural and peaceful but you can walk or bike to the village which has everything you need. There is a train service to Masterton (15mins) and Wellington (1.5 hours). We can collect you from the station and drop you back when you leave. You can stay with us in the main house where we have a 2 spare rooms with queen sized beds or possibly in the Airbnb if it is not occupied . The number of people we can take depends on whether the cottage is empty. We need help with gardening, cleaning and other tasks for half a day in exchange for accommodation and food but happy to negotiate other arrangements to suit. The Wairarapa is a great spot to visit with interesting tow...

We are a cultural and arts community that is working towards being self-sustained. The community is situated in the mountains of Monchique, Portugal surrounded by nature. Our community provides an alternative way of living with permaculture gardens, farm animals, sustainability projects, and arts and cultural workshops. It is a great place to come to meet other like-minded people if you are passionate about sustainability and alternative living. We hold community meetings throughout the week alongside activities and workshops, such as quiz nights, dance nights and yoga classes. If you have something you are passionate about and want to share with others, we would love for you to run a workshop. One of the best things here is the variety of tasks you can do as a volunteer, which gives you the opportunity to learn new skills and discover what you enjoy doing most. We have a combination of short-term and long-term volunteers and on average we have between 10 to 20 volunteers and resident...
