Hello there, I'm looking for travellers, nature lovers, people interested in permaculture and a different way of living. I'm Erik, class '88, I live in northern Italy where I've been building a permaculture project for the last few years. I've always been a dreamer, a wanderer seeking adventure and a deeper connection with Nature. After few years of working and travelling the world I decided to start this other journey here 1,5 hours drive from my birth place. As a sensitive person, Healing is a good portion of what drove this life choice into being, as I find it more gentle and sustainable for ourselves and the environment. On a more practical note, the land for now is taken care of for self sufficiency and not as a businness. I can offer food and accomodation in exchange of 3/4 hours of work, 5 days a week.. Most jobs are to do with the garden and the orchard, from planting out vegetables, tree planting, weeding, spreading compost, wood chipping, mulching, all depending on the tim...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. Please note, we cannot host anyone with any pre existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions). We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our doorstep, hiking trails through the mountains and forests, cycling paths, and skiing in the...

Welcome to our little slice of wild and wonderful countryside life! We look after 70 acres of wildflower meadows, and summertime is when everything bursts into action, think wildflower seed harvesting, haymaking, and plenty of sunshine. We also have a charming walled garden and greenhouses where we grow all the fruit and veg we eat at home. If it grows here, we eat it—and we always love an extra pair of hands in the garden for planting, weeding, and harvesting. From May to September, the farm comes alive even more as we host a wild campsite and run a small café for visitors and campers who want to experience the meadows up close. Summer also brings our July music festival, which is one of our favourite times of year. When autumn rolls in, it’s all about cider and apple juice, made the traditional way on our 300‑year‑old apple press. We’re big on heritage skills here, there’s always something to maintain, repair, or restore using traditional materials. We even slake our own lime for bui...

Hello Potential Volunteers My name is Paul and it was my dream to change my lifestyle from being an office worker to becoming an alpaca farmer.... here we are 14 years later with 100 alpacas, each individually cherishes with names and unique personalities, plus an assortment of other animals all needing our love :) I have three children: Liam (21), Dylan (9) and Oscar (6), and our 100-acre farm is home to approx.100 alpacas, plus llamas, peacocks, hens, mini pigs, a cat named Sexy, and our farm dog Malta. This year we are expecting 20 'cria' (baby alpacas) and each one will need our help so they can thrive! We need to ensure they get colostrum (filled with antibodies and vital for good health) – have they fed from their mums within the first 24hrs? Are they then drinking enough milk from their mums every day? Are they gaining weight? The well-being of my animals is the most important thing on the farm. Do they have good food and enough water, and the best possible natural environme...

We are a small-scale, organic vegetable farm in Palmer, Alaska. We grow an array of beautiful produce which includes carrots, tomatoes, strawberries, zucchini, brussel sprouts, romanesco, broccoli, potatoes, rhubarb, onions, beets, and many more. All of the vegetables we sell at local farmers markets are grown by us and are free of pesticides, GMOs, and chemicals. We not only believe that people should feel connected to their food, but we also feel that it should be delicious, healthy, and accessible. Work on the farm varies by season. In the Spring we spend our time prepping the field, sewing seeds, growing transplants, cultivating those seeds in the field, weeding, and watering. As we move into summer and fall helpers will have the opportunity to harvest and sell the fruits and vegetables that have been growing the past few months at the local farmers’ markets.

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

If you are looking for a peaceful getaway then would you like to spend some time cat sitting in a tranquil rural setting? With not another house in sight and an expansive outlook over fields and hills, Extons Barn provides an ideal retreat from the busyness of life. I run a yoga school here in an adjoining studio, but frequently travel to Italy to teach there too, and need someone to look after Nala, my very friendly Snow-Bengal cat, usually for 1 to 2 weeks at a time. I currently need someone from Saturday 28th March to Monday 6th April These dates all include a couple of days before I leave so that I can show you everything you need to know. Looking after Nala is not at all onerous. Basically feeding, emptying her litter tray and lots of cuddles! Apart from that, you will need to bring in firewood and just generally keep the place clean. There is always plenty of weeding to do in the garden if you feel like doing something useful! During your spare time you can relax and enjoy bei...

Hi! This is Piero. We (family, with 2 kids, girl 9yo, boy 6yo). are fixing up a farmhouse with a little bit (approx. 1 hectare) of land around. I have been myself a traveler/helper (in Australia) in the past, few years ago, when younger (I am now 45yo) and I am happy to share back the support/help (and fantastic experiences) I received when I was travelling. Canale Town: Canale d'Alba is a small (around 5000 people) town, near Alba and Asti, in Piemonte region, in Roero area (Unesco site). Our Farmhouse is just outside (approx. 2km, approx. 1,5 miles) of Canale, in direction of Santo Stefano Roero (nearby village of approx. 1500 people). The area is famous for production of Food, Vegetables, Meat, Roero Wine, Etc. What to expect: We could need some help around the house with simple activities (both indoor and outdoor). The required "activities" will depend on your knowledge and skills, personal inclination, etc. The required "activities" will depend on moment of the year, needs of th...

We run a well-known organic market garden in the Alpes Maritime, right on the Riviera coast and the Italian border. It is an area of outstanding natural beauty and popular with tourists. Our garden is on mountain terraces above the town, but only a 10 minute walk to the beach and 20 to the old town. Access is easy by train or bus from Nice or Italy. For the next 5 months we are looking for hands-on and experienced support with a number of urgent tasks. This could be a paid situation for an experienced person willing to contract for the season which ends 30 September. The work includes sowing, planting, fertilising, harvesting for market, basic landscaping, fencing, irrigation repair and DIY/maintenance and will probably best suit a fit and younger male helper. We may also take 1 or 2 experienced volunteers for shorter periods. As a produce grower, our crops include organic lemons, oranges, avocados, vegetables. Leaf crops and herbs. These we sell at a combination of local market, hig...

Vacancy from Tuesday 2 April. We require help with DIY repairs and maintenance, timber work, upgrading a dinghy to fit a roof and remote steering, repairs to trailer and for help with early morning gardening, housekeeing, cooking and dog walking on the beach. We are looking for reasonably good DIY handymen and women, capable of working effectively, when necessary, on your own or as a pair and, ideally, someone who also has some gardening experience, but that is not really necessary, learn on the job! 😉👍. So you need to be a "morning person" who is happy to start work at 07.00 hr, at least five mornings a week, not a night-owl. This is to avoid the heat of the afternoons at this time of year, mornings ca n be beautiful. Much of the work will be outside, based out of a well-equipped, air-conditioned, woodworking workshop and/or in our vegetable garden and hen and duck coops, just over 100 meters from a very quiet, sandy beach.🧜‍♂️ Opportunities on your day off include fishing...

Hello everyone! My name is Bird, I was working in Chiang-Mai as a photographer for 2 years then decided to become a farmer and create a Thai traditional agriculture permaculture farm in 2018. I wish to create a relaxing place that allows people from all over the world to take their time to experience life in harmony with nature. I also have four water buffalo on our farm, named Tony, Laura, Hanna and Charlie. We are a local family with a desire to preserve our simple, sustainable way of life so that we can give back to and protect mother earth. Our farm is located in Pua city, 70km north of Nan province surrounded by the mountains and rice fields, in Northern Thailand. The farm is set on 1.5 acres of land with vegetable gardens, rice paddies, farm stay and pizza restaurant. Currently, we have done with natural buildings on the farm, including bamboo huts, fences, and wooden houses. “Life is better with a Buffalo” is our farm goal and “Happiness only real when shared “ is our motto. Y...

Hei ! Here is Ingunn and Mathieu. We are a Norwegian-French couple and since mai 2021 a happy family of three. Our family house "Karnes Gaard" is a farm since the 16th century. In 1912, Ingunn's grand father gave part of the land for the Tromsø county to build "Solhov", prestigious boarding school and largest wooden building north of Trondheim. When Ingunn took over the farm in 2009, running it organically felt something obvious. And when Solhov was for sale the next year, a dream became possible : sharing our love for the Lyngen Alps by hosting guests who seek breathtaking surroundings, healthy stay and organic local food, peaceful lifestyle and carbon-free activities. Our dream is to serve as much as possible our organic and local products to these guests. Originally we grow potatoes and strawberries. We are trying several small scale production to see what is possible to grow here up north. At the moment, we are focusing in : - increasing our honeybees park, hives and flowers -...

Hello, I live in the beautiful Charente region 16140, and am looking for help with all sorts of jobs, from feeding the donkeys and other animals to painting and helping in the garden 😊 I am slowly bringing this lovely old château back to life after being empty and abandoned for many years. I enjoy growing my own organic vegetables and looking after my animals. I recently planted an orchard and have lots of other projects I'd love your help with. In the past I've shared some wonderful times with helpers, many of whom remain friends and have visited several times. In return I offer a comfortable bedroom in the chateau with 3 meals a day, and cooked as much as possible with our fresh produce. I would like your help for 5 hours a day with weekends off. There is lots to explore like little villages and towns and the river. The coast is about an hour's drive away. The Charente river is at the bottom of the garden and there are some lovely walks right outside the door, there are also b...

We usually prefer long term stays but short term is sometimes possible for people with the right skills. Part-time arrangements (staying a few days per week or per month) are also possible for people living locally. Experience with gardening, animals, carpentry is ideal. We don't smoke, drink alcohol, or use drugs and appreciate the same in others. We are a married couple ages 53 and 66, living on a small farm in the famous Vienna Woods outside the city. One partner is an Austrian artist/graphic design teacher and one an American farmer/musician. The American half of our partnership is certified in ecological horticulture from the University of California Center for Agroecology and Sustainable Food Systems, and ran an organic farm in California, hosting farm volunteers for 15 years before moving to Austria. We primarily need help with gardening, animal care, carpentry, maintenance/renovation of buildings; this can include taking care of the whole farm when we are away. The work ma...

UPDATE: Volunteer needed in March-early April 2026 to help clear a pasture from big wild bushes and chop wood. Hello. I’m Paul, a recently retired musician. I live in a mountain area made of rounded, wooded peaks in the inland of the Italian Riviera, at the point of connection between two regions, Tuscany and Liguria, widely renown for art towns (Pisa, Lucca, Florence among others) and picturesque fishing villages. It’s a quiet setting to get away from it all, with a 360 degree view stretching for tens of miles and right down to the Mediterranean Sea, only 25 km/15 miles away. Here is where the Alta Via (High Route of the Ligurian Mountains) starts, a long-distance waymarked hiking trail for nature lovers. I speak Italian (native), English (fluent) and French (fluent). I’m looking for volunteers who are self-motivated and good with their hands, willing to help me with general maintenance around my property in exchange for food and lodging in a friendly environment. I appreciate a b...

At our off- grid solar, wood and gravity powered homestead you can live very close to Nature and learn by helping, how to grow your own food in the big, fully caged vegie garden/ orchard and some of how to build a bush cabin (it could be a winning strategy in years to come). We are long term, committed advocates, for climate change action and we've lived with Sustainability and Creating a low "Carbon Footprint" in mind, for 40 yrs now, settling here, (inland of Taree / Port Macquarie) from scratch in 1980, on 680 acres of rocky ridge forest on the wild and steep NW edge of the Bulga Plateau, 500m above sea level (a very beautiful but challenging location)! Watch our YouTube video below, about our community and us, made by the very talented helpxer, Louie Ablett. Three of us live here now, myself 74, David 84 and Sue 64, who started as a WWOOFer and has moved here with the help of a voluntary activity agreement through Centrelink for over 55s'. Sue came in September 2019 , lost th...

We are looking for a couple or two friends to stay for a couple of weeks or more if agreed. We are maintaining our property for sale and we need to keep in condition. Hello, thank you for looking at our listing. We've not hosted helpers through this site for a year but have hosted and have more recent references on a sofa-surfing app if you need to see more. **We are especially looking for people with carpentry and building skills but plenty of garden and organising work if you're unskilled.** We are Cathy (45) and Leo (who is 12 years old.) We live in a lovely, but messy little cottage in a very beautiful glen. Unfortunately at the moment there's several issues with the plumbing so please do not apply if you need a daily hot shower! We like to have several helpers so friends are welcome to apply, alternatively we are happy to take single travellers - but please be aware you may need to share a sleeping area with other helpers (who we will ensure are the same sex and similar age to you.) The accommodation is extremely basic, the house is in disarray and I currently resemble a headless chicken for much of the day! Only apply if you are comfor...

We live in a rural area and have a large garden. We need help at the moment to prepare for spring and summer. Our family has grown up and no longer live at home. We would love some help usually for about two weeks.. People with some gardening experience or people willing to do some weeding or planting are very welcome.. If the weather is bad we have some cleaning, organizing and painting indoors to be done. We live in an Irish speaking area but the community here is, of course, bilingual. The area is renowned for its traditional music and dance. We speak fluent English and Irish and some French and German. You will have your own room with every comfort and the house has two bathrooms. The house is big enough to allow you to be part of the family or have privacy if you need it. We would like you to work 4 hours per day, six days a week. German speakers, who would have an interest in helping me improve my German, would be very welcome. There is a regular bus service to Athboy, Nava...

Hi, I’m Annie :) Thanks for stopping by! Looking for help *** from now through March/ April , 1 wk - 10 days work for a couple *** At the moment I'm looking for help with Spring cleaning in the house and garden work; mulching, light pruning, fertlising, tidying up garden and some indoor/ outdoor house work. Mostly this would be cleaning spider webs off gutters, garden maintenance and window/ blind cleaning, cleaning out pantry, kitchen cupboards, cleaning oven, etc. It would be useful is someone was confident with a drill and some very basic carpentry work, to hang some outdoor ornaments. I'm sorry but I can't help with 2nd Year Work Visas. I usually invite Helpers for 1 week and see how it goes. Own vehicle required. My home is in Dunsborough, part of the famous Margaret River Wine region in the South-West of Western Australia. Dunsborough is a beautiful, quiet coastal town, with great facilities. Nearby are wild oceans and awesome surf, sleepy bays, beautiful wineries and re...

There is work removing trees, tidying up the garden and removing debris from the fires and recent storms. There is also cleaning work helping Cate with property management. During free time you are welcome to borrow our electric scooters and go swimming and exploring. We live in Mallacoota, one of Australia's most beautiful places on the southeast coast. It is a World Biosphere Reserve in the middle of the Croajingolong National Park next to the ocean with an estuarine lake system and many, many beaches.

NOOSA COUNTRY - Hi there! Thanks for viewing our listing. We are Steve and Kath, a couple who enjoy the company of young travellers and hearing of their adventures, experiences and homelands. Our own children have left home so we have plenty of rooms to spare. We are happy to offer comfortable accommodation, healthy meals and a friendly, family atmosphere, in return for gardening, small maintenance and household duties. You would have the use of a TV, sound system, free wireless internet, kitchen, laundry and your own bathroom and toilet. We live in a comfortable, 4 bedroom house on a picturesque, small acreage at the base of Mt Tinbeerwah, which is in the Noosa hinterland on the Sunshine Coast, Qld. (15 minutes from Noosa Heads, a popular beach and surfing location) A bus goes past the door and there is a train station at Cooroy. (5 kms away) However your own car would be more convenient for you. There are many fruit trees, a vegetable garden, rainforest, creek and numerous n...

Welcome to our recently established language center nestled in Haiphong, where we offer English and IT classes at affordable rates, catering to individuals who seek educational opportunities beyond the reach of traditional centers in the city. Our diverse clientele includes university students, working professionals, and children of varying ages, including underprivileged youths from rural areas whom we empower through English education. Not merely a place of learning, our center doubles as a communal space where both local and international volunteers reside and collaborate. Local volunteers generously contribute their time by preparing meals and providing support during classes, ensuring a nurturing environment for both learners and volunteers alike. To join our mission, volunteers are required to commit to a minimum three-week stay in Haiphong, possess fluency in English, and possess some teaching experience. Our curriculum encompasses a range of proficiency levels, from absolute...
