We live on the Whangaroa Harbour, half an hour north of Kerikeri. There`s no road to our property. We come and go by boat. We can pick you up from Kaeo or Kerikeri and bring you home, or if you're driving, we will meet you at Ota Point on the harbour. We have kayaks to explore the harbour or to fish from. The fishing is some of the best in New Zealand. Our home is at the water’s edge nestled above the mangroves. The work is mostly gardening and a little housework. Carpenters/builders/people handy with tools are especially needed but all are welcome. Guests are asked to work four hours one day and then three hours the next day and cook an evening meal (we provide ingredients). We relish dishes from elsewhere. Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements or serious dislikes. We have internet access available. A week to begin with is ideal. Longer stays often happen from there. We host because we enjoy making friends and the work becomes easier and more p...

- Space available from 30th July for 1 person in a shared room with another male occupant. - Space generally available from 29th August onwards. **Please note that we ask that all enquiries include a proposed arrival and departure date, we also usually arrange a quick video call to confirm volunteers have sufficient English to communicate with other staff and customers** We are a busy, free-hold pub with brewery and gin distillery in a small village beside the sea in North Devon. We serve real ales, home-made food, and run regular music nights, games night and discussion groups. We are busy with holiday-makers and residents alike, and the pub is an important part of the community here. Depending on the length of stay and time of year, volunteers might find themselves helping with general maintenance, cleaning and organising or assisting in the kitchen- helping service run smoothly during lunchtime and evening sessions. Kitchen work is mainly washing dishes and helping keep things t...

Hi there travellers! First! Please contact me on Whatsapp for a quick reply. My number is +64273146782. I'm looking for some people to do some tree pruning, other gardening and other mostly outside work. There's a couple of leaks in my irrigation I have yet to find. I've always got inside work to do as well, mostly cleaning. So on these cold winter days, we can be busy inside. There's always lots to do. If you are a couple, or two couples even - you are welcome to buy and cook your own food and set your own pace around exploring/helping out in the garden. If you are travelling alone and prefer company you will be welcome to eat with us, and I am happy to set an extra place at the table. It will be expected that you spend more time hanging out with me in my garden(s). While you are here, whoever you are, you will be welcome to participate in our daily life, to learn about how Kiwis live. We have a large property with many apple trees, almond and peach trees, apricot and plum t...

Hello! Hiya, I am looking for enthusiastic helpers for a week of outdoor work, mainly in gardens. We have a sleepout available with a queen bed and two single beds that will suit either a couple or friends as long as they dont mind sharing a room. It’s important that you can understand English well for your safety. At the moment, we have several animals on the property: 9 cows of mixed ages, sheep, laying chickens (chooks) of four different breeds, 2 friendly large dogs, 1 cat, and 5 turtles. Our animals live a stress-free life and are not afraid of people.I would like this to stay this way an no fear property. If you feel nervous around animals, I will likely keep you away from them until you feel comfortable. We are a family and live in the South of Ireland, in the very scenic river Suir valley just 10km outside Waterford City and the nearest village is within walking distance. There is a regular bus service from the Cottage to Waterford City. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic to experience a very lively international environment and to help us with our guest house, garden, and recently planted forest. We usually are looking for help with greeting guests, tidying up, cleaning, some light gardening, light forest maintenance, and DIY projects with Tom. If you are interested in helping us with this variety of interesting activities, we would love to hear from you. There is no need for prior experience, just an interest to learn new skills and good physical condition would be absolutely sufficient. If you like animals, we have two lovely ponies, several dogs & cats, and a few chickens and we are always happy to have help with looking after them, too. We offer free accommodati...

WELCOME TO PARADISE GLENORCHY! We are a busy couple working full time and needing help with our property. Based in the spot chosen by the original settling family in the area, we have a really well established garden that needs taming and some quirky buildings that need some TLC. Looking for hardy gardeners, handy DIYers and folks who are keen to just generally get stuck in. We have a great retro caravan, sleep out, outdoor kitchen and bathroom set up that's screaming out for someone, two friends or a couple to bring it to life. At this stage we a only provide breakfast, but could do lunch in some situations. We have heaps of freezer space and suggest you stock up on a few dinners, and drinks in Queenstown before you get here as the local shops are a bit pricey. Spark phone signal is limited to the end of the drive, OneNz works just fine. - free internet available. We recommend helpers have there own wheels, as we're 5km outside of Glenorchy. There is however a bike you can use if ...

We have a vineyard, olive trees and vacation houses near Tropea in Calabria. We need a couple to help us for some week from september to june for vintage, olive harvest, gardening, general maintenance and internet announcements. In autumn, winter and spring we have a lot to do in the vineyard, with the olive trees, the house and garden. Accommodation in a full equipped chalet offered. It is better to COME WITH CAR or rent it here. We expect you to work 2 and half hours a day (16-20) hours a week. You should buy and cook your food. We are used to give local products and teach you how to prepare traditional dishes. We appreciate if you work more hours on weekends because we are at home. You have a free day in the week. If we have time, we can show you around our region and our white sandy beaches. We would be glad to welcome people from all over the world to our home. We prefer couples. We live in a fun share house in Maryborough, Marry Poppins Town, with awesome meals and a big edible garden. We're Mars, the owner of the property and former owner of multiple language schools and Tracy, a former theatre/restaurant owner who's cooking the most awesome meals and looking after everyone like a mum. There're 2 adorable dogs in the family, so you must be a dog lover. Also 6 chicken and 2 ducks, so we always have fresh eggs. We need help with building and creating, and with an awesome edible garden. We're about to put 12v solar power into the rooms, also natural air-conditioning and are finishing up the spa bath in the 2nd bathroom... so there's a bit for you to learn and lots of knowledge to take home. We like to work with fun, laughter, music and love to see you letting a bit of your craziness out. Be yourself and join the family... We have had many awesome experiences with travellers so far 😃. Please note that there's a minimum of 1 week stay, we do not like to ...

We are growing citrus, avocados, nuts and a variety of other fruit trees, catering for our small community as well as a large vege garden. We also have some sheep and chickens. The jobs will depend on the time of the year but include pruning, weeding, mulching, harvesting, etc. If you have any building skills could be very handy as there are always a few projects going. We have an automotive country workshop where we fix and service cars, 4WDs, trailers, tractors and all sorts of machinery. In our spare time we look after our little farm, some sheep, some cattle and rabbits. We also have a forest where we work and tidy up occasionally. So we are always in need of a couple of helpful hands to support us. We love to get to know different cultures and people. We grow our own meat, fruit and vegetables. Gustav also brews his own beer and makes wine and cider and lately also green tea. A mature, non-smoking, self-organized person, preferable not a vegetarian, to give us a hand with house and land, would fit best into our lifestyle. You will have to join into our daily routines: breakfast is at around 7am and then we feed all the animals, especially the hungry dogs and work starts at 8am. We need to get everyone organized before customers arrive in the workshop. We expect about 4 hours work per day and we offer a nice room with a lovely warm bed, gr...

This can be your basecamp for winter in Tongariro National Park — a dual World Heritage site with two ski fields right up the road. We're at the base of Mt Ruapehu, with Whakapapa and Turoa both within easy reach, so you're sleeping at the mountain rather than driving up in the dark and cold every morning. Wake up, check the conditions, and go. We're a 90-bed backpackers and we're popular with HelpX — usually 4 to 8 helpers on site at any one time, plus a steady flow of guests through the lodge. It's busy, it's social, and there's always something going on. Lots of fellow travellers, lots of mountain time, lots of opportunities to make the most of where you are. We take helpers all year round, but we get booked up well in advance — so reach out early and we'll do our best to work your dates in with your NZ travel plans. Two weeks or more is ideal: time to settle in, wait out the weather, and actually live in the park rather than just passing through. One week works at a pinch, but you'...

Hi everyone! We have a beautiful property a short walk/drive away from a gorgeous New Zealand beach. We live 45 minutes from Hamilton and 20-25 minutes from Raglan. Our area is very remote - we have some neighbours but there are no shops here or public transport, just farmland. So if you enjoy being away from cities and people then this is the place for you! Our property suits people who enjoy the outdoors and surfing, hiking, walking, animals, solitude. There is a beautiful mountain right by our house for hiking, great surfing and fishing in the area, and Raglan (a little over 20 minutes away) which is a vibrant and energetic little beach town with world famous surf. This exchange is for accommodation only. We have a cabin with a big bed and beautiful views of the farmland and mountain and sea. There is a kitchenette for you to keep and cook your own food. The bathroom is about 20 metres away from the cabin and it is a composting toilet with shower that does the job but is gravity-f...

I live in a terraced house on the Western outskirts of Cardiff, with a small tended garden. The house is very close to countryside and the award winning Museum of Welsh life. If you have a car you can access wonderful coastline, the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons, The city centre is easy to get into and I am happy to show you around. There is an excellent museum in Cardiff, plus art centres, performance venues and a beautiful park right through the centre of Cardiff. Public transport is good and there is a local train station at the bottom of my road connecting with Cardiff Central, just 8 minutes away. I would welcome an artistic person to share drawing, painting and historical crafts. Most importantly, I am seeking someone who knows about growing vegetables and is prepared to water a plot and harvest my wonderful produce - this while I am incapacitated for some weeks with a broken knee. As I mention above, I am a professional violinist and can offer violin tuition or playing...

We are a cultural and arts community that is working towards being self-sustained. The community is situated in the mountains of Monchique, Portugal surrounded by nature. Our community provides an alternative way of living with permaculture gardens, farm animals, sustainability projects, and arts and cultural workshops. It is a great place to come to meet other like-minded people if you are passionate about sustainability and alternative living. We hold community meetings throughout the week alongside activities and workshops, such as quiz nights, dance nights and yoga classes. If you have something you are passionate about and want to share with others, we would love for you to run a workshop. One of the best things here is the variety of tasks you can do as a volunteer, which gives you the opportunity to learn new skills and discover what you enjoy doing most. We have a combination of short-term and long-term volunteers and on average we have between 10 to 20 volunteers and resident...

Hi, I am Tika. I am a teacher at the local government secondary school in Maipokhari village. I am living with my family in Sandakpur-3, Maipatal village in the Ilam district. There are 4 family members in our family. Me, my wife (dika), son (suman) and a daughter (sudha). The village is located around 600km from Kathmandu with an altitude of 2225 mt. The Ilam district is famous for its tea farms. We have our own organic farm, with fruit & herbal plants and a nursery consisting mainly of kiwi plants. We have also two cows. We are growing kiwi, black tea, ground apples, chickpeas, cucumber and beans. Volunteers are warmly welcomed to my farm as well as my family. You can experience rural life in the east of Nepal and you can get a true sense of local rural life. Our village and its surroundings are quite green and it's known as the greenest district of Nepal as well as the tea paradise. If you like, you can do many activities here. We are looking for an individual or couple to help out to help out have a 8 year old son so we will ask for references etc as his safety is key. Lots of chores around the farm (but not a real working farm) and with the horses. We would also love a builder or carpenter but none of these things are a must. A couple or family would be welcome and kids for Samuel to play with would be great we would be happy to be even more flexible for a longer term stay. Previous long term helpers have used us as a base to go off and explore Europe and come back in between to work for a bit and save some money. Most reviews are from Devon but in 2014 23 inherited a falling down farm house with 73 acres in mid wales near Shropshire border. We have moved all our animals up and desperately need help especially anyone with building gardening and general land clearing skills as well as people with good horse knowledge. The house is very old and listed and falling down (with trees growing through the roo...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. PLEASE NOTE WELL: we absolutely cannot host anyone with any pre-existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions), such as hay fever, any other allergies, sensitivities or intolerances. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

About us: We are one of the larger experienced organic vegetable farms in Sweden still active and have accepted volunteers since 1991. We are a certified organic vegetable farm that produces food for local consumption. We grow an abundance of vegetables and potatoes on 4 to 5 of our 50ha and on the rest, grains of many heirloom varieties of wheat and rye for our small home bakery. Our vegetables are mainly sold through subscription baskets commonly called CSA (community supported agriculture) locally. We were the first in Sweden with CSA and have two "daughter" farms with whom we shared the way to start. For more pictures see "bilder" on our website. See videos where we pack the CSA baskets there and also on cooking and nature walk in English. We are in the process of reestablishing a permaculture designed forest garden. Time scheme: We usually accept helpers for vegetable farming from Mid-February through mid-December. Requirements: A genuine interest in ecological vegetabl...

Feel free to write us an Email! It's possible to contact us early, that's not a problem!

This beautiful little organic orchard is on the Richmond Hills, a 5 min drive to Richmond and 15mins to Nelson. The accommodation is a cute tiny home in the orchard with a separate shower and (composting) toilet unit. It has a sleeping mezzanine with a queen bed. Also the downstairs couch is a single sofa bed. There is a small kitchen with fridge and cooking facilities. It is suitable for a single person or a couple. There is a carpark. No wifi included.

Hawaii Beach Project: This is a construction project that believes in creating positive change by using sustainable methods and newly invented building materials and procedures. Our project has been underway for over a decade and through the process we have had the opportunity to present a transformative experience for individuals who want to work on not only bringing the building and environment to a higher place, but to also bring themselves to a higher place. We provide and encourage all who come to volunteer to participate in meditation groups and seminars, yoga practices, healthy eating options (all of the food here is provided for you!), and make strong and lasting relationships with everyone who lives here! We are looking for long term help in carpentry, mechanical, electrical, fiber cable installation, tiling, masonry, and drywall. If you have any experience in any of these construction areas and would like to spend a minimum of 3 months living on a beach on Kauai Island, the...

We are located in the heart of Berlin, one of Europe's most exciting and diverse cities. With its vibrant cultural scene, world-class museums, historic landmarks, countless cafés, parks, and excellent public transport, Berlin is the perfect place to experience urban life while enjoying a welcoming home environment. I would kindly ask you to help with painting, fencing, gardening, sweeping leaves, cleaning and maintaining the house, as well as feeding and caring for the animals. There is plenty of space to relax and enjoy your free time. You will have your own private room, and I will provide breakfast and one warm meal each day. If you enjoy cooking in a holistic and nutritious way, you are more than welcome to do so. I am always happy to share my knowledge about healthy food and learn from others as well. I am not just looking for someone to help with daily tasks—I would like to offer a meaningful cultural exchange and create a positive experience together. If you are interested in me...
