We have helpers for September and October so we cannot host anyone else until mid November. We like at least 2 weeks notice ( please ask 2 weeks early) . We prefer to host helpers arriving in New Zealand by plane. Welcome to central Auckland and our hidden garden. We have really enjoyed helpers staying this year. We offer you the chance to recover from your incoming flight and get organised for your time in New Zealand. We can give you lots of advice about where to go in New Zealand....... We propose that after arriving from overseas, you stay a night without helping, to recover from your flight.. Then we prefer that you stay a further 3 or 4 days helping around the garden. Which means 1 day doing nothing then up to 4 days helping. We have found that helping for a whole day , then having the next day completely free, works well for us and our guests. You get to do all the stuff that you need to do, without worrying about the time. Hours are very flexible. Our old home is cen...

Would like an energetic couple or single person to help out with gardening, and housework. We would expect about 4-5 hours help a day in return for free accommodation and meals. Large bedroom and own bathroom. We have animals so, would prefer someone who enjoyed them being around. There are many wonderful places to explore in Hawkes Bay when you are not working. Fantastic cycle ways, tramping trips into the native bush areas, beaches and wonderful wineries. Prefer you to have your own car to get around and beable to see the region.

Hi, I'm Grant, I am as kiwi as you can get, and l live on a peaceful lifestyle block near Otorohanga (7 minutes away) in the Waikato where l have built a workshop and tiny home, l am off grid with solar, fresh water and gas for hot water and cooking, also use wood for cooking sometimes as well. I'm very fit and healthy, l live a healthy lifestyle, I'm honest, open minded and straight up, l don't accept stress or bullshit in my life and l don't apologize for that. If you can't handle someone honest, positive, hard working and who gives compliments and praise then this is not the place for you. I enjoy the cultural exchange and I'm only interested in helpers who want to live a kiwi lifestyle and be involved in my daily life, ie helping in the kitchen, cooking cleaning, watching movies, working together, I'm not interested in helpers who want to spend their time in their bedroom with the curtains closed, l want you to get involved and enjoy the opportunity you have. My hobbies...

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) , please don't come if you have a heavy cold or flu, I'm involved with the elderly. Cheers Al

Tena koe, nau mai, haramai ki Tokomaru Bay, a small, predominately Maori seaside community on the East Coast. We live on a four acre lifestyle block in the peaceful Kaiawha Valley about a two minute drive from the village and the beach. There is a 4 Square Supermarket, a cafe and a tavern in the village. We have a room with a queen bed in a sleep out, with helpers own separate lounge/kitchenette. Access to washing machine. The bathroom is inside the main house located a few metres away. Most of the work we require is gardening, landscaping, milking cow, feeding animals, preserving food, servicing our Bed and Breakfast (List 1 Historic Places building) firewood, weed eating, mowing and general maintenance. Jan is a teacher and does some casual relieving and Bill works from home developing Te Reo Maori learning resources for our local tribe and teaches Te Reo Maori one day a week. Both of us are involved in our community, at the marae and other activities. We think 'whanau' s...

We are a cultural and arts community that is working towards being self-sustained. The community is situated in the mountains of Monchique, Portugal surrounded by nature. Our community provides an alternative way of living with permaculture gardens, farm animals, sustainability projects, and arts and cultural workshops. It is a great place to come to meet other like-minded people if you are passionate about sustainability and alternative living. We hold community meetings throughout the week alongside activities and workshops, such as quiz nights, dance nights and yoga classes. If you have something you are passionate about and want to share with others, we would love for you to run a workshop. One of the best things here is the variety of tasks you can do as a volunteer, which gives you the opportunity to learn new skills and discover what you enjoy doing most. We have a combination of short-term and long-term volunteers and on average we have between 10 to 20 volunteers and resident...

All our summer visitors have come and gone, as, hopefully has the unbearable heat. Time to get a few things in order around the garden and the petit bricolage and hoping for some assistance! . As ever, there is plenty to keep one busy, but plenty of time to enjoy this wonderful part of the world. We would be delighted to welcome a single or couple willing to help us around the place. We look forward to hearing from you, and are ready to welcome you soon. Best wishes David and Helen

Hello! Would you like to stay in a villa by the sea? I offer free accommodation in exchange for a few hours of help. The villa is located 15 minutes from Ajaccio. It has bedrooms with private bathrooms, a gym with a spa, a jacuzzi in a landscaped garden, large terraces and a swimming pool. The beaches are just a short walk away, with small coves and natural pools directly opposite the villa. The panoramic sea views and sunsets make the setting particularly idyllic. A transfer from the airport or port can be arranged depending on availability, during the daytime only (details available on request). The minimum stay is one week. Simply indicate your available dates in your request. The help mainly involves cleaning, cooking, garden maintenance or small painting jobs. It represents around four hours per day, with the option of grouping the work into one full day every other day. PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON. Need help with a garden clean up, at the moment. You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit๐Ÿ˜œ My place is a cattle farm with one rough headed(inside and out ๐Ÿคฃ,) skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town. We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. PLEASE NOTE WELL: we absolutely cannot host anyone with any pre-existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions), such as hay fever, any other allergies, sensitivities or intolerances. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our do...

I would be very happy to welcome volunteer teachers who are willing to help at my school for two or three months, or even for a full semester. *I want the volunteers who work at my school to not feel like they are working. Instead, I want them to feel that they are enjoying themselves and having a holiday while staying with us. Their room is fully equipped with air conditioning, hot showers, and a spacious private room that is separate from the main house, so they can feel comfortable and relaxed during their stay.* My name is Edison I have a wife, her name is Nofi. I also have two children, Ochta (32 years old) and Fadlil (12 years old). Ochta can speak English. I run a private English school for children between the ages of 7 and 19 in the small town of Batusangkar, West Sumatra. After an intense house renovation, we are now entering the final phase, focusing on cleaning and refreshing the house. From APRIL (for about one month), we are looking for help with PAINTING work inside and outside, as well as some light gardening tasks such as weeding. This period is ideal for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and likes to see visible results at the end of the day. From JUNE onwards, as the weather becomes warmer, the help will mainly consist of daily HOUSEKEEPING tasks (cleaning, ironing), with occasionally some light gardening. Weโ€™ve found that this experience works best for people who enjoy staying active and contributing in a practical way to daily life. We truly appreciate volunteers who bring positive energy, a hands-on mindset, and a genuine willingness to help. We are a Belgian family who has been living in France for over 20 years. In our late fifties, we speak French, Dutch, English, and a bit of Spanish. Our home is located in the beautiful r...

This is ideal for people who would enjoy the social and cultural buzz of the city within easy walking distance, while also being close to two charming harbour beaches and some great walks. Itโ€™s a good arrangement if you value your own private space whenever you want it, but also enjoy a stimulating environment. Our comfortable inner city 117year old Victorian villa is a two minute walk to Ponsonby Road. Accommodation is self-contained, and our HelpXers have invariably found it to be an ideal set-up (see guest room photos). You have your own separate entrance, private garden balcony, one bed ( a generous double) , kitchenette with microwave, hot plate, toaster and small fridge, dining table/desk, laundry machine and spacious en suite bathroom/toilet. Free wi-fi (within reason!) Because weโ€™re on an unusually wide section for a city house, we've developed the outdoor space into various "rooms", including an organic vege/herb garden and a viewing platform in one of our higher trees ...

Kia Ora. I run an Angora goat farm just outside Oxford in North Canterbury. I have 180 very cute goats which I shear for fibre twice per year. I also farm sheep and cattle. I farm in a sustainable way and have been trialling some regenerative agricultural practices. I am looking for helpers starting from early September 2026 Jobs include farm work, gardening, housekeeping, servicing and cleaning my AirBnB and learning about our farming systems. You would have your own room and receive all your food in return for 4-5 hours work per day. Those are the typical Helpx conditions. There are usually other Helpxers at the farm and we work, eat and live as a family , sharing housework and cooking tasks. I look forward to welcoming you to the farm!

HI HELPERS!!! WELCOME TO JOHN`S FUN FACTORY!!! BULLETIN: I live in a beautiful isolated Tasmanian mountain valley surrounded by world heritage rain forest and some VERY TALL Trees!(but not as big as the Hinoki trees at AliShan in Taiwan!!) Most of my property is a nature reserve, but I have a 2 Hectare orchard, berry garden and vegetable garden which are all useless! The possums, wallabies and birds eat most of these (trees included!) so we live on ice cream and chocolate biscuits instead! Please come and help us eat the biscuits so I don`t get too fat! Oh, by the way, all the Wallabies are called "Skippy" and they don`t mind a bit of apple or banana occasionally. I have been a volunteer host for 18 years and I have had more than 1700(Yes!!!you read it correctly!) fabulous, lovely, wonderful volunteers stay with me. Many of them have come back for second, thirdโ€ฆor even 10th visits!!!!! Work can be really diverse including tree planting, mowing grass, helping to install forest fire...

Hello wonderful Help-xer's! We have an opportunity for a couple, to come for a week, or two weeks at a time. We are a family of five running a sheep and beef farm in Rissington, just out of Napier. (three children aged 12, 14 and 16) We have comfortable accommodation with your own large King bedroom and bathroom, that would suit an energetic, couple, or one/two motivated people travelling together who are keen to help with our beautiful riverside accommodation whilst learning about our culture and family along the way! You will stay and help cook meals for our family whilst having the opportunity to go out and explore the beautiful Hawkes Bay. We are looking for help with the following; landscaping, weeding, spraying, limbing up trees, spraying down and washing outside of buildings, washing windows, gardening and general maintenance around the property. Your own car would be an advantage. In return for your help, we would love to welcome you into our close-knit family and community ...

Hobbits are "little people" with big hearts and big bare feet firmly connected with mother earth. They habitually live "under the radar" of some PC embellished society and try all their best to not succumb to the madness of it. Claiming their birth right to nature's abundance, love, beauty and endless creativity they naturally make up to and make do with the lack of gold caused by the greedy child-eating dragon behind the bare stone mountains.. Hi, my name is Marianne. I live on a classic New Zealand all-day sunny "tree quarter acre of hobbit shire" looking down to Oamaru. If you arrive early enough at my kitchen window or even up on the jungle hill behind the cottage, you can see the sea and watch the sunrise. A 10 minute stroll down Eden Street gets you either to the CBD or to the shoreline. I am providing three basic meals per day as well as a comfortable and quiet room for your stay and to relax after our daily four hours of working together "out there", somewhere on some befitt...

My husband and I moved to this 240 acre farm in the South Burnett Region of South East Qld 2 years ago and have recently moved into a purpose built cottage (to reduce our footprint) relying on rainwater for the house and bore water for the gardens and to reduce our footprint further we have installed a composting toilet. 40 fruit trees have been planted and raised garden beds made which is the start of our edible oasis. Next on the jobs list is creating wicking beds from IBC totes and fencing the house yard for our two Jack Russell dogs. We have an old thunder box we would like to restore to make into an outdoor composting toilet (let us know if youโ€™re handy on the tools). Thereโ€™s plenty to do and learn around the farm depending on your ability and interests. Enthusiasm is a must. Thereโ€™s gardening and learning about soil health, learning how to erect barbed wire and electric fencing, animal husbandry, building, cleaning and general maintenance. Thereโ€™s always something different g...

I am a creative person living in Mumbai (Bombay) , India, I grew up in rural and urban natural lives. Making me experience working on farms, cities and learn some things on different levels of cultures, society differences, Indian deeper roots, religious, spiritual and positivity through life. So looking at life in its best or worst way, with in its various colourful shades. ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผ For References - ask for my other volunteer site profile. ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผ My passion is film making but still I am trying to develop my spiritual understanding. Sametime in support of growing world awareness of organic life or climate changes comes as a beginning of a new era. And proud to be part of it as its time to deconstruct what we constructed just in few decades. Mumbai city is the only city in the world where the Country lives in a city i.e you will find everyone from the different parts of India living in the city of Mumbai. The city also supports some ancient spiritual caves and temples. It is active in mov...

We are a young couple who have made the leap from the UK to NZ and then from the city to the country. We have travelled a lot before settling in NZ and love to meet new people. We have a beautiful home in the countryside but also close to the beach. Perfect if you like animals and being in the outdoors and love the sea. We love to paddleboard in the Ngunguru estuary and walk our dog along the many trails and beaches nearby. We are about 20mins out from town so having a car would be a bonus unless you are happy to relax at home while we are at work. The stunning Tutukaka coastline is also 30 mins drive and is a must see for any traveller. Another must see destination in NZ, the Bay of Islands is an hour away. We were new to lifestyle blockering and are still learning as we go. We have a 4 yr old called Alfie and a 2 yr old called Charlotte as well as the dog (Pip), Chickens, Ducks, sheep lambs and cows. This means there is enough of a range of jobs to suit most peoples preference. F...

Hello Potential Volunteers My name is Paul and it was my dream to change my lifestyle from being an office worker to becoming an alpaca farmer.... here we are 14 years later with 100 alpacas, each individually cherishes with names and unique personalities, plus an assortment of other animals all needing our love :) I have three children: Liam (21), Dylan (9) and Oscar (6), and our 100-acre farm is home to approx.100 alpacas, plus llamas, peacocks, hens, mini pigs, a cat named Sexy, and our farm dog Malta. This year we are expecting 20 'cria' (baby alpacas) and each one will need our help so they can thrive! We need to ensure they get colostrum (filled with antibodies and vital for good health) โ€“ have they fed from their mums within the first 24hrs? Are they then drinking enough milk from their mums every day? Are they gaining weight? The well-being of my animals is the most important thing on the farm. Do they have good food and enough water, and the best possible natural environme...

Modern home... off grid. 2 bedrooms available and own bathroom. Home has a billiard table and an outdoor bath. The home has good views of the countryside and of Auckland city. I live alone and have a fox terrier dog for company. I am told I am a good cook. I am not a vegetarian but do have occasional vegetarian nights. I encourage my guests to prepare the odd meal.....a chance for me to experience a traditional meal from your country. The property is approximately 3km away from the Bombay motorway interchange. Intercity buses stop at here. Auckland Transport trains operate out to Pukekohe.... I could pick up/drop off guests at Drury or Pukekohe if you don't have a vehicle. The farm is a beef farm. I raise animals from calves or buy younger steers from the local sale yards. I limit the number of animals to between 12-15. My expectation is that you help me for 4 hours per day.. but i am happy to be flexible. If you need to have some time off you can make up on another day. Duties ...

Hi, I'm Andrew, thanks for looking at our profile, We are a family of 3 living (Dad and 2 big kids) in the suburbs of Newcastle, about 15 mins drive from the beach. I have 2 kids at home (Liam - 18yo & Anna - 20yo), we enjoy cafes and going to the beach and swimming in the pool. (The photos are some of our local beaches). We also like cycling and playing games, chilling out and chatting with friends. We attend a local church each week and Liam attends the local school which is just up the road. I spend lots of my time renovating (fixing/building) houses, including the house we live in, and love to have people to work with. The house we live in is currently being renovated and an extension is being constructed. Right now I really need help with timber framing - putting the house together - we are currently up to the floor frames and working on getting the rest of the house extension up. Help at work: Generally we ask you to help out in the renovations about 21 hours per week each (n...

Hi there Traveler We offer a farm stay with great views and good conversation. We chopped down a pine forest and replanted with Manuka about 4 years ago so itโ€™s starting to look really great, and more native birds are about. Established a wetland reserve as well. Also we are developing another small retreat area that needs assistance with tracks and tree management. Some stock work is all so on offer but we will work with you all the time as itโ€™s safer and more fun. cheers and safe travels Geoff and Declan

The rest of the time can be spent enjoying Lavaโ€™s large beach, the coves in front of the villa, the hiking trai...

It is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay, 2 hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around.

My goal as the principal of the school is to provide youth from my region with the English skills required to communicate better in the modern world, and therefore provide them with better opportunities ...

Hi, weโ€™re Terry (64) & Tricia (56)! We live on a beautiful 5 acre lifestyle property in Yandaran, about 35 km north of Bundaberg. Yandaran is a small rural village surrounded by farmland, offering a relaxed country atmosphere. We love showing people around our wonderful area - you can enjoy fishing, catching mud crabs, exploring freshwater river crossings, and visiting a beautiful beach only minutes away. Weโ€™re looking for some help putting the finishing touches on our property- small fencing jobs for animal yards, establishing lawn and garden areas and a few homestead projects. We offer accommodation in our 21 foot caravan, complete with own toilet and bathroom. We havenโ€™t hosted for a few years, but we have previous experience as hosts and made many friends around the world because of it - and we look forward to meeting many more!

We live in a fun share house ๐Ÿก in Maryborough, Marry Poppins Town, with awesome meals ๐Ÿ, fireplace ๐Ÿ”ฅ and a big edible garden ๐ŸŒพ๐ŸŒด๐ŸŒณ๐ŸŒฟ. We're Mars, the owner of the property and former owner of multiple language schools and Tracy, a former theatre/restaurant owner who's cooking the most amazing meals and looking after everyone like a mum. There're 2 adorable dogs ๐Ÿ•โ€๐Ÿฆบ๐Ÿ• in the family, so you must be a dog ๐Ÿฆฎ lover. Also 6 chicken ๐Ÿ“ and 2 ducks ๐Ÿฆ†, so we always have fresh eggs ๐Ÿชบ. We need help with building and creating, and with an awesome edible garden. We're about to put 12v solar power into the rooms, also natural air-conditioning and are finishing up the spa bath in the 2nd bathroom... so there's a bit for you to learn and lots of knowledge to take home. We like to work with fun ๐Ÿฅณ, laughter ๐Ÿ˜‚, music ๐ŸŽถ and love to see you letting a bit of your craziness out ๐Ÿคช. Be yourself and join the family... We have had many awesome experiences with travellers so far ๐Ÿ˜ƒ. Please no...
