We are looking for a couple or two friends to stay for a couple of weeks or more if agreed. We are maintaining our property for sale and we need to keep in condition. There is work removing trees, tidying up the garden and removing debris from the fires and recent storms. There is also cleaning work helping Cate with property management. During free time you are welcome to borrow our electric scooters and go swimming and exploring. We live in Mallacoota, one of Australia's most beautiful places on the southeast coast. It is a World Biosphere Reserve in the middle of the Croajingolong National Park next to the ocean with an estuarine lake system and many, many beaches. We are 2km from the town centre and 3km from the nearest beach. There are about seven magnificent beaches within 10km of us. Mallacoota is 540km from Melbourne, 630km from Sydney and 360km from Canberra with limited access via public transport so keep that in mind when planning your schedule. Our family includes M...

Welcome! Your choice: You can exchange two hours help a day for the room only, or you can work for 4 hours a day and we provide meals. We have a private spot close to town here, and are two friendly people, a little dog, and some chickens. Our quiet and green home is in easy and pleasant walking distance of Nelson city centre. It's like being in the country. There is also a bus if you want to get into town quickly, it takes about 6 minutes. This is a good mix - looking after trees, garden, house and each other; making music; preserving fruit, etc We - meaning us two, Ian and Eva - love WWOOFers who enjoy what we are doing, and want to be friendly and part of the family. Eva is a Homoeopath, Ian is an Engineer, we both love to sing, eat, and share good food, and have fun with friendly woofers. The house is surrounded by green hills, with some of Nelson's best bike tracks and walks right next to us. We love cooking and sharing meals. We can talk with you in English, French or Germ...

Would like an energetic couple or single person to help out with gardening, and housework. We would expect about 4-5 hours help a day in return for free accommodation and meals. Large bedroom and own bathroom. We have animals so, would prefer someone who enjoyed them being around. There are many wonderful places to explore in Hawkes Bay when you are not working. Fantastic cycle ways, tramping trips into the native bush areas, beaches and wonderful wineries. Prefer you to have your own car to get around and beable to see the region.

I am an aquatic ecologist who has fortunately been working out of our coastal rain-forest property for 35 years. Driven by strong curiosity, I have recently been developing long-term data sets on the animal life in the forest that surrounds our home, plus on tropical marine fish that are steadily increasing in numbers under the influence of climate change at the nearby very beautiful Seal Rocks area (for details click on my website link below). We have 20 acres with 2 acres cleared and the remainder moist tall forest and rainforest. It is on the coast 3 hrs drive north of Sydney (1.5km from Smiths Lake; 30km south of Forster) See my blog link below to glimpse the accommodation, typical work and fun. We have a 180 squ m vegetable garden at times needing attention which has been enclosed to keep out our friends the wallabies (pademelons), possums, parrots and native bush turkeys. Bush regeneration is another activity as well as assisting in ecological surveys of local rivers when t...

One thing I can advise helpers who want to get a placement with any host is to have at least one PICTURE of YOURSELF. Just as you like to "see" who and where you are coming, hosts like to see who they are opening their home to. The weather is warming up now so there is lots to do outside in the yard. I'm not planting a vegetable garden this year so I'd like to clean up the area, fencing, painting etc. Knowledge of Carpentry and Plumbing are always appreciated. Car mechanics are always helpful. I would really appreciate someone who can do handyman jobs and wants to come for a week or two. I sell things online and on eBay and would love someone who is good at writing descriptions in English. I have a large house and property in a diverse area of Staten Island, New York that I`m always working on. I plant a vegetable garden in the spring using the square foot gardening method. A friend and I rebuilt the whole house on the inside including jacking it up and replacing the foundation,...

This is a 3000 acre (1200 hectare), horse and cattle property near the coast in Central Qld. Our property is mostly natural bush with seasonal creeks and waterfalls so staying here is like having your own national park. Your stay with us is as a family member in your own room. We encourage you to participate in everything we do and we have plenty of camp fires so we can share stories. Accommodation, food, limited internet etc is provided. Your main duties will be the care and well being of the horses. This will include feeding, grooming and mucking out. We live here with our dog Lola ,chickens, a lot of worms and vegetable and flower gardens. We like to grow as many of the vegetables we eat as possible and we take a modified permaculture approach to gardening Our place is a small renovated holiday cottage which was moved from a seafront location to a small section close to a beautiful park in central New Plymouth. It is quiet and private - down a driveway behind the other houses and is partly surrounded by hedges and trees. We also own the house next door which we rent out but where we also are creating a food forest. We have a comfortable sleep-out with an ensuite shower and toilet which is available for Helpx travellers when we are not using it for family or for Bookabach guests. Our place is in central New Plymouth/Nga Motu two minutes from the beautiful Pukekura Park and a 30 minute walk from the central business district. LOOKING FOR HELPERS NOW. In return for 4 hours help a day I offer you accommodation and all meals in a sunny, warm home where you will have your own bedroom (queen size bed) and own bathroom with the added privacy of being in a separate wing of my house. My sunny home sits atop a hill from which you will have a magnificent view of the township of Blenheim to Cook Strait and the hills of the North Island beyond. Of course if you would prefer to work a full day in order to have a day off in which you could explore the nearby Marlborough Sounds, cycle the wine trails, or walk or climb on any of the formed tracks in this area, that would be just fine. My 40 ha property is a sheep/beef farm most of which is leased. I tend a large garden and care for the drive and tracks, drainage and irrigation and deal with fallen trees. It is situated in the midst of vineyards in the Brancott Valley 13km from Blenheim (pop 30,000) which contests the annual sunshine record every year. Most of the wor...

Americans welcome to contact me to escape the N. American winter! All others are definitely welcome, too, although I fear you may be hesitant due to the current political climate in the USA. Let me assure you that the US is safe, particularly where I live, and the people are welcoming. The government recently raised visa prices but there are many countries which are exempt (cut/paste this link to your browser: "https://"/travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/tourism-visit/visa-waiver-program.html), My name is Alexandra and I've been a helper twice (Thailand and Italy) and have also spent six months volunteering at an ashram in India. I moved to Florida in 2017 to help my elderly mother, who has sadly since passed away. I now find that I will be requiring spinal surgery (I'm mobile but in pain) which will keep me out of commission for 3-4-5 weeks (depends on my progress) so I need a helper with a driver's license who can drive my car to my physical therapy appointment...

We have an automotive country workshop where we fix and service cars, 4WDs, trailers, tractors and all sorts of machinery. In our spare time we look after our little farm, some sheep, some cattle and rabbits. We also have a forest where we work and tidy up occasionally. So we are always in need of a couple of helpful hands to support us. We love to get to know different cultures and people. We grow our own meat, fruit and vegetables. Gustav also brews his own beer and makes wine and cider and lately also green tea. A mature, non-smoking, self-organized person, preferable not a vegetarian, to give us a hand with house and land, would fit best into our lifestyle. You will have to join into our daily routines: breakfast is at around 7am and then we feed all the animals, especially the hungry dogs and work starts at 8am. We need to get everyone organized before customers arrive in the workshop. We expect about 4 hours work per day and we offer a nice room with a lovely warm bed, gr...

Updated 25th Nov 2025 - Brisbane area - really keen to have someone/couple - great place here - I haven't been around for a while, so different property - creek and nature all around - but, if you are scared of the realities of Oz bush, like spiders, it's not for you! There is room to stay in the house; or there is also room to have a van or similar parked in the driveway or down near the creek We only expect 3 hrs per day as a swap; nothing exciting - just garden & house spring cleaning - but we do have a creek to relax in - you will see I have some good reviews, so most of my helpx folks have a great time - Happy for helpers to do 2 days in one, then have 1 full day off to go to the city or explore the area. If the garden needs help - remember this is Australia so if you are squeamish re spiders or such like, please don't apply! we are about 1/2 hr from Brisbane city - lots of beautiful nature walks - perfect for someone who wants to get back to nature ....:) Also....near e...

We are a hybrid family with a 13-year-old daughter with us 50% of the time and 2 personality filled cats. We are looking for someone (or a couple) to join us from December for 4 weeks (or longer). The assistance needed is help in the substantial-sized garden. Gardening/Home Handyperson experience would be great. Because it's spring/summer time the garden will definitely need attention, including preparing the ground and planting. Abigail is a lovely girl (& no, it’s not just us who think so!) She loves reading, board and card games, baking, the trampoline... she's easy to have fun with. She enjoys our international helpers and has created many friendships; most stay in regular contact with us. Sometimes you are required to assist with getting Abigail to and from activities, so a full license is preferred. The overall help requested is a couple of hours per day, Monday to Friday. There is a bit of flexibility as to how these play out. We (Darryl and Theamarie) work from home so are g...

We run a three bedroom accomodation located in the beautiful historic area of Kerikeri just up from the Stone Store. We are looking for preferably a single person (ranking as mature) interested in staying at the lodge and taking care of the general running of things (around 2-4 hours per day , negotiable) This is very relaxed and mostly entails greeting guests in the afternoons and showing them to their rooms (only when we have bookings), cleaning rooms if the cleaner is away, taking bookings as well as some general property maintenance. You will stay in a separate part of the lodge with full kitchen, private room and bathroom. I am generally around the lodge most days but leave in the evenings as I live with my partner out of Kerikeri. So we work as a team. This means you will likely be taking care of yourself in the evenings, so being able to cook is important. (Potentially not as social at it has been in the past when my son and his partner were living there full time) . We inc...

Hello my name is Barbara, I’m 77 years old and could do with some help here on my 2acre property! I need help with renovating an old caravan and building an annexe for the van. Also weeding gardens, pruning and mowing. I have lived on the Bulga Plateau, Elands since 1983. I established the Kiosk at Ellenborough Falls and enjoyed meeting people from around the world during my time at the kiosk. I have worked in remote Aboriginal communities as a trainer in radio communications. I built my house in 1990 (with the help from the Elands community) and other than when I’ve been working away on contract I’ve lived here. Living in a rainforest the maintenance and upkeep on the land is getting beyond me. In 2017 I had a cabin built on my land to accommodate family and for Hipcampers. This cabin is where you would stay. The cabin is off grid, includes a small kitchenette with 2 burner gas stove, solar powered fridge, it has double bed and 2 single beds. Also an outside BBQ and fire pit for t...

Kia ora, travellers! Haere mai - welcome - to my whare (home) in beautiful Honeymoon Valley, surrounded by native rainforest, birds and organic gardens. Before settling in the Far North 30 years ago, this whenua (land) was a paddock. Now, there are mature trees, native bush, orchards and gardens. We built this eco-earth house using local clay. Life here is peaceful and quiet, perfect for enjoying nature. I am part of the local landcare group, protecting our native forest, birds, lizards and insects. We trap predators and remove invasive weeds. You could help with organic/permaculture gardening: vegetables, flowers, herbs, fruit trees, chickens, mowing, brush-cutting, compost-making, maintenance and fixing things (basic carpentry, painting), sewing, cleaning, chopping firewood. I bake bread. I make apple cider vinegar, bottle fruit, jam, chutney, sauerkraut, and collect seeds. My place fits independent, mature helpers who have work & life experience. We have a private spot close to town here, and are two friendly people, a little dog, and some chickens. Our quiet and green home is in easy and pleasant walking distance of Nelson city centre.
