We live in a fun share house in Maryborough, Marry Poppins Town, with awesome meals and a big edible garden. We're Mars, the owner of the property and former owner of multiple language schools and Tracy, a former theatre/restaurant owner who's cooking the most awesome meals and looking after everyone like a mum. There're 2 adorable dogs in the family, so you must be a dog lover. Also 6 chicken and 2 ducks, so we always have fresh eggs. We need help with building and creating, and with an awesome edible garden. We're about to put 12v solar power into the rooms, also natural air-conditioning and are finishing up the spa bath in the 2nd bathroom... so there's a bit for you to learn and lots of knowledge to take home. We like to work with fun, laughter, music and love to see you letting a bit of your craziness out. Be yourself and join the family... We have had many awesome experiences with travellers so far 😃. Please note that there's a minimum of 1 week stay, we do not like to ...

Hi! I'm Tonje and I moved to my farm in 2020. And there's always a lot to do here. This small farm is in a very small town, by the fjord in Hardanger. Its a good place for hiking and culture. The area is quiet and scenic. The closest cities are Odda and Bergen. The bosses of the house are 4 dogs and 3 cats. Right now I don't have any farm animals of my own. But the neighbor's sheep live here too. I would have been very grateful for various help on my small farm. The work can be very varied. But I need help with maintenance of the outdoor area, wood working, chopping firewood and snow shoveling. I also have an airbnb, so cleaning, organize and tidying jobs are also tasks that I may need help with. Help are appreciated a lot. For your help, I can offer beautiful scenery, food and a private bedroom.

Hello Potential Volunteers My name is Paul and it was my dream to change my lifestyle from being an office worker to becoming an alpaca farmer.... here we are 14 years later with 100 alpacas, each individually cherishes with names and unique personalities, plus an assortment of other animals all needing our love :) I have three children: Liam (21), Dylan (9) and Oscar (6), and our 100-acre farm is home to approx.100 alpacas, plus llamas, peacocks, hens, mini pigs, a cat named Sexy, and our farm dog Malta. This year we are expecting 20 'cria' (baby alpacas) and each one will need our help so they can thrive! We need to ensure they get colostrum (filled with antibodies and vital for good health) – have they fed from their mums within the first 24hrs? Are they then drinking enough milk from their mums every day? Are they gaining weight? The well-being of my animals is the most important thing on the farm. Do they have good food and enough water, and the best possible natural environme...

I am renovating a building in Lofoten, Norway. It is located in Sørvågen, an ideal place for exploring the nature of Moskenes island. Typical work can be digging in the garden, moving dirt, moving materials, scraping paint, painting walls, etc. In addition I have two small houses that I rent on AirBnB, these need to be cleaned between guests. If you have any kind of limitation to what you are willing to do, for example a fear of heights, asthma that prevents you from working with dust, etc., please let me know and we can discuss it! It's important that we communicate well, and it's more important for me to be surrounded by happy people than it is to get specific jobs done. There's always something else to do! In general I'm looking for someone who wants to stay longer. I feel like it has to be at least a month before things start flowing well, as I have to invest a lot of time and energy in getting to know new people and finding a balance with work and social interaction. I also d...

The quinta is located in Alto Alentejo 2km from Portalegre. 15 hectares with magical forests and a beautiful valley provided by seventeen sources and several mines with healthy water where too people live permanently for the moment,Isabel, a communication manager and Michel, a carpenter who is the founder of the project. There is also one dog, five cats, for chickens and six sheep. The project is now in the phase when it’s open so that more people can live here. Because parts of the ruins are ready for occupancy, there is space for people who want to stay longer, which can bring new and stronger dynamics throughout the year, not like before, when there was only a lot going on in the summer months. So far there is already a beautiful gardens going on and numerous species of plants, shrubs and trees which deliver us plenty of food. We are happy when someone shows enthusiasm for the garden because this is a central part...

This is an exciting opportunity to have an experience that will stay with you throughout your life. Our Foundation aims at helping rural children receive a qualitative outstanding education. We have a volunteer teaching program to assist rural teachers and children get exposure to foreign languages and cultures. Our family runs a western riding facility with 30 stalls, where we provide horse boarding and training, including reining and cow work. We also have a western saloon, where we host weddings, special events, and are open for our club members on weekends. In return for cleaning out stalls and feeding horses (and the odd other job), we offer room and board, sorry we cannot host vegetarians; we include you in family activities and you have the possibility to improve your riding skills in western riding (cow work and reining) in our 30 x 60 m arena and - how about -learning some line dancing!! A bicycle is available, if you want to explore the near surroundings. We are located close to Switzerland, it`s about a 15 minutes car ride to Basle, and also only about 20 minutes to Germany. Our area is a great tourist region. If you are mature, fit and self-motivated, willing to stay for a minimum of 2 weeks, experienced with handling horses, we would be happy to hear from you!

I initially found out about natural farming when I was WWOOFing in New Zealand and since then my goal was to venture into natural farming and live a self-reliance life. I plan to grow more herbs for my work which is blend natural remedies and herbal essential oils. I love being surrounded by nature and close to soil and plants. I can't see the world, but the world can come see me. First and foremost, I want to thank all the helpers who came from United Kingdom-England, France, Belgium, Italy, China, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. Welcome Helpers. We are a family of 5 living in the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia. Sue is the founder of Peaceful Hollow. Her daughter Ruth moved to the Hollow later as well as her husband Tim and their 2 daughters. Our hollow is quite with no neighbors in sight. There are no city lights, and you can see every star on a clear night! Our homestead consists of Sue's workshop/cabin, Tim & Ruth's cabin and one very small guest cabin. Also, there is a private guestroom with private entrance on the second floor above the workshop/cabin combination. . We have a lot you can be involved in, knowledge to share, friendships to build, and opportunities for growth. Below are our routines and some projects. We would love to involve you! - Caring for our honey bees, chickens,...

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

Hello. I’m Paolo, a recently retired musician. I live in a mountain area made of rounded, wooded peaks in the inland of the Italian Riviera, at the point of connection between two regions, Tuscany and Liguria, widely renown for art towns (Pisa, Lucca, Florence among others) and picturesque fishing villages. It’s a quiet setting to get away from it all, with a 360 degree view stretching for tens of miles and right down to the Mediterranean Sea, only 25 km/15 miles away. Here is where the Alta Via (High Route of the Ligurian Mountains) starts, a long-distance waymarked hiking trail for nature lovers. I speak Italian (native), English (fluent) and French (fluent). I’m looking for volunteers who are self-motivated and good with their hands, willing to help me with general maintenance around my property in exchange for food and lodging in a friendly environment. I appreciate a baggage of life experience that is not too small, so volunteers in their mid to late twenties at least and in t...

I live in an old farm and farmhouse in Normandy. I have converted a cottage into a holiday cottage with 4 bedrooms (all en suite) and one barn into another. I also had a Yurt (now gone but the pictures are still there !!) and a campsite. With the guest-accommodation, farm and further buildings to be converted, I could always do with an extra pair of hands. Skills can range from building, painting, cleaning, farming and general maintenance. Someone with a sense of humour would be great. I enjoy music so you may find all sorts playing, from classical to Genesis, Roxy Music to London Grammar! Current projects (weather dependent) include: 1. tidying toolshed 2. move garden shed I offer accommodation and meals included in return for help normally 5 days a week. After a week I'm happy to give a day tour of the battlefields ... Phone number (what's app) available on request. Offering comfortable accommodation in a natural environment in exchange for general help with mainly outdoor projects - tell us your skills and interests and we'll probably have a project to match! Looking for help year round, happy to offer one to two weeks at a time with longer stays possible after we've got to know each other a little. Your own vehicle is essential as we do not have any public transport routes available. Us: We are a relaxed couple who enjoy the quiet life. Al is retired and spends most days doing odd jobs around the property and tackling larger projects from time to time. Vicki works 3 days/week from home, when she's away from her desk you'll most likely find her in the veggie garden or the kitchen. We enjoy lots of "homesteading" activities including breadmaking and preserving, herbal medicine, soap making and general crafts. Al is trying to learn the didgeridoo and hoping to have more time for painting and drawing and Vicki enjoys curling up with a good ...

Hi, my name is Sylvia and I'm Dutch. After having lived for the majority of my life in cities I wanted to roam around with Helpx, so I did. However, I fell in love with the first place where I stayed, many years ago. A very small rural village in Bavaria, Germany, at the Czech border. I rented the huge house and intend to stay here, with my little dog, for the rest of my life. It’s a beautiful hilly area and the forests invite for long walks in which you may spot deer, lynxes, boars and other animals. Public transport ends in Weiden (train) or Lohma (bus), but I have a car, can pick you up and drop you off. Plenty to see within reasonable distance like Nuremberg, Regensburg, Munich, and Prague. Ski and snowboard centre at 7 km distance and lots of others a bit further away. In the holiday season, Christmas markets can be found everywhere. You will have your own room (with WIFI) and a shared bathroom, and you are welcome to the rest of the house too. I‘ll try to cook for you what you...

We are a Czech-Australian family of four (our children are 4 and 1), living in a small village near a beautiful historical town of Tábor. Our property has a direct access to a forest and nearby hiking trails. We live a slow life in rhytm with nature and its cycles. In spring we collect wild herbs, in summer we preserve fruit and in autumn we give more attention to our inner environment, ourselves and our house. We are a part of a community of families in Tábor and together we take care of our children and enjoy culture, nature and sport (mostly climbing). We recently built a house of clay and straw on our property and our main project now is the garden. We also still have quite a few unfinished projects in the house and we are taking care of our tiny house which we used to live in.We have a few small community projects which we do locally in our village such as maintaining a forest walking path or organizing Solstice celebrations. We would like our guest to become a part of our famil...

I am a wildlife carer and have fourteen wallabies in care and seven Torres Strait pigeons. We need help feeding these orphans and the other rescued and domestic animals. This includes cleaning pens, replacing pouches, washing pouches and bedding. Domestic animals include our 6 dogs, 2 horses, Peacocks, Guinea Fowl, Keats, 2 rescued pigs and chickens, ducks etc. A love for animals is a must. Also need help weeding and planting the vegetable garden. I am about to build some more enclosures. So building skills and or willingness to learn an advantage. In addition we expect help with setting the table, cleaning up after meals. Good WiFi. Not so good mobile coverage. Unless Telstra. 20 km from town so own transport an advantage. However, we can take you exploring the local area. Happy to send more information to potential helpers.

I also d...

Permaculture project with idea and space to create an eco-village.

Because English is the second language in Thai schools, we concentrate on improving the English language skills of both rural teachers and children. We are currently taking applications for volunteers who would available to start sometime between now and the end of June and commit to at least 8 weeks .

Hi I live in Jeju Island and I recently started learning natural farming which I now practice in my garden. I would like to invite an individual or pairs of Helpers to assist with a variety of tasks including: any work involved with property which is in progress/ general gardening/grounds maintenance such as weeding, strimming, leaf clearing, mowing, path creation, growing vegetables in our veg patch. Days of Staying : Minimum 1 week / Maximum 1month Days of Working : 6 hours / day (3 days / week) We can go around for the sightseeing when we are taking a day off - I know some hidden places that I can introduce. :) Also 10mins by car to the beautiful white...

Bedroom is free from 8-21 July. Also in July and September there is a huge indoor conservatory, and a good tent ( integrated floor zippable door or fly door)with a comfortable mattress etc available, using the house for meals and shade and general socialising etc. August is unavailable. From October onwards we are open to long stay requests...6 months or more- we could have a trial week or fortnight before committing to a long stay Also we would like to arrange help for next year MARCH and April, this would involve strimming ( rechargeable , metal blade Stihl, with mask etc) and for an experienced strimmer we could add some paid hours on top of the full board and bedroom . PLEASE no supporters of mass starvation and military actions against civilians... No climate change deniers ... We definitely would not get on!!! ( To be clear it is not that we require long or even ANY conversations on these topics , it is that it would be against our principles to be gaining any kind of ad...
