This is for those of you who plan ahead. We are full until mid July, right at the start of our best fishing season and in the middle of our best weather when at least some of the time we should be cutting great timber from unwanted trees using a 26 inch/56cm bandsaw. So anyone who loves fishing, snorkelling on inshore reefs and is good at DIY or carpentry and loves the simple, quiet, rural life by the beach, next to the rainforest, this is for you 🤗. We appreciate help with DIY construction, repairs and maintenance, timber work, boat work, metal work repairs to trailers and for help with gardening, housekeeing, cooking, duck and chicken rearing and dog walking on the beach. Fishing, snorkelling, and rainforest walks can help occupy your spare time. We are looking for reasonably good DIY handymen and women, capable of working effectively, when necessary, on your own or as a pair and, ideally, someone who also has some gardening experience, but that is not really necessary, learn o...

Looking for a lovely volunteer(s) to join us and our animals. AVAILABILITY FROM the 4th August. We are fully booked until the 3rd August. Please contact us if you are interested in helping look after our wonderful animals. Experience with horses is useful but not necessary as long as you are happy to care for them. Depending on the time of year, we also run a small scale rescue and rehabilitation centre for hedgehogs. There are stunning views looking out over a Devon Wildlife Nature Reserve and beautiful countryside. We live in a very attractive rural area of Devon on the outskirts of a beautiful old village called DOLTON (please look on "Google Earth") about a 45 minute drive from Dartmoor National Park. We are Dave and Lynda an older couple than we would like to admit and this is where our challengers lie. We live on a half-acre bush property, Dave built the house 35 years ago and it now requires a little maintenance. Some of the maintenance will involve helping Dave moving and working off scaffold and carpentry work. The yard needs some attention and involves some heavy wheelbarrow work to form a path beside our dam along with transplanting and planting. Hervey Bay is situated 3 hours drive north of Brisbane. So here's the deal,,,,, we are offering accommodation in exchange for assistance with the maintenance of the house and yard. You will get to stay in a great little 1 bedroom self-contained unit situated 10 minutes drive from the Hervey Bay town centre. We are asking 4 half days a week help in exchange for accommodation, I'm saying half days because we run out of energy about mid-day. This leaves you with plenty of time to explore the area and visit Fraser Island and o...

We enjoy meeting and working with helpers from different countries and we try to make your stay work for both of us. Although we are not vegetarians or other specialty diets we have no problem hosting one. One family member is gluten free. Seasonally we need assistance with with fencing, firewood cutting, the garden, harrowing, feeding livestock, building and building maintenance and general farm labour. No experience necessary but must have a willing attitude and be comfortable around animals. Someone with Carpentry skills is always helpful. We are located on a small farm 4 km north of Lumby and 30 minutes east of Vernon BC, with sheep, laying chickens, hay and sometimes meat birds. We also have some older horses and a large organic garden. One of us is a carpenter and the other a semi retired biologist. We have lots of birds and generally very few biting flies or mosquitoes . We are also a hummingbird banding station every 2 weeks from late April until the beginning of August. ...

Hey everyone we have space for 2/3 helpers for 5+ days during June.... the house you will be staying in is usually used by an employee but we dont need anyone at the moment so come and use our place as a base while you explore the area. We are 5kms from the Waitomo Caves village on a 600ha farm which has patches of bush, limestone formations, mountain views, 585 jersey dairy cows and other animals Things have been very busy here on the farm for the past few years plus we have a 3 year old and 5 month old.... everything is really overgrown in the garden so I desperately need help to get part of it undercontrol plus we would love help with a few other things like tidying the barns/sheds. We ask for help which isn't hard from 8-10.30am in exchange for good accommodation(no meals provided)... you will stay in a nice furnished house on the farm which has wifi, we also have gumboots, gloves and farm clothes for you to wear if you want. In your spare time you are welcome to just relax o...

Joseph is a retired professional photographer, and Deborah is a voice teacher who has worked both at the University of Florida and in her private studio. We’re well-traveled, enjoy thoughtful conversation, and genuinely like meeting people from different backgrounds. Our home was originally designed as a hunting and fishing lodge and has evolved into a comfortable, lived-in space with plenty of character. The property includes a small pond, abundant wildlife, and a quiet, peaceful setting with very little light or noise pollution. Nights here are especially beautiful. Please Read Before Reaching Out To help ensure a good fit, a few important points: * We are not a working farm * We are currently hosting short stays only (about one week to start) * The help is primarily: * housework * cooking * light gardening * occasional simple...

Travelers should choose my place because it offers a calm, friendly, and comfortable home in the Dublin Suburbs 10 minute train ride to City Centre. You’ll be surrounded by plants, nature, and good company 🌿. The tasks are light and relaxed. You’ll also learn practical gardening tips and horticultural knowledge in a cozy, welcoming environment. It’s an ideal place for volunteers who enjoy peaceful living, meaningful conversations, and a warm home atmosphere. I am a well organized and responsible person. I’m an easy-going, friendly host who enjoys gardening and evening chats 😊. I value respect, honesty, and a relaxed environment. Volunteers can expect to be treated kindly and fairly, with plenty of support and patience. House also has a permanent tenant, Gloria from Italy (early 30's) who has been here over a year. The help is quite easy and low-stress. I’m happy to share my horticultural knowledge, including tips and tricks for getting the best performance from different plants 🌱. T...

We are a hybrid family with a 13-year-old daughter with us 50% of the time and 2 personality filled cats. We are looking for someone to join us in June for 4 weeks (or longer). The assistance needed is help around the house and to be home when Abigail gets home from school. Abigail is a lovely girl (& no, it’s not just us who think so!) She loves reading, board and card games, baking, the trampoline... she's easy to have fun with. She enjoys our international helpers and has created many friendships; most stay in regular contact with us. Sometimes you are required to assist with getting Abigail to and from activities, so a full license is preferred. The overall help requested is a couple of hours per day, Monday to Friday. There is a bit of flexibility as to how these play out. We (Darryl and Theamarie) work fulltime so you would have the house to yourself during the days. Our cats, Nyx and Eros are fun and love having people around. We have a sun-filled lawn and garden that is enj...

I am a retired man from Germany 71 years old, living with my 2 dogs on lovely Orange Garden, West Coast of Peloponese. Most of the work will involve gardening, like planting, pruning, harvesting oranges and olives. Other work includes tidying up the place, general household chores, painting building and maintenance of the 8 bungalows I rent to tourists. I ask for 4-5 hours a day, 1 or 2 days free for your own. Low season helpers can use a bungalow for accommodation. You might cater for yourself or join me for meals. WiFi internet is available. Ideally volunteers would be over 25 years, have some knowledge of general maintenance and gardening. The bus stop is 500m from home, the 70km beach of Kyparissia Kolpos is about 2,5km. See my homepage. I am fluent in German, English and Greek. I am looking forward to your visit.

Hi! I'm Tonje and I moved to my farm in 2020. And there's always a lot to do here. This small farm is in a very small town, by the fjord in Hardanger. Its a good place for hiking and culture. The area is quiet and scenic. The closest cities are Odda and Bergen. The bosses of the house are 4 dogs and 3 cats. Right now I don't have any farm animals of my own. But the neighbor's sheep live here too. I would have been very grateful for various help on my small farm. The work can be very varied. But I need help with maintenance of the outdoor area, wood working, chopping firewood and snow shoveling. I also have an airbnb, so cleaning, organize and tidying jobs are also tasks that I may need help with. Help are appreciated a lot. For your help, I can offer beautiful scenery, food and a private bedroom.

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON. Need help with a garden clean up, at the moment. You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one rough headed, skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town. It is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay, 2 hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around. We are looking for helpers from right now and have space for two people. We have three small cabins, two with double beds and one with a single bed so room for up to five helpers normally but only room for two at the moment as we still have international surf coaches staying. All the helpers share a kitchen and bathroom. From now end of June we need help with some building work so preference will be given to people who already have some skills with tools.. We are a great place to start or end your time in New Zealand as we are only 45 minutes drive from Auckland airport. The work will be varied and interesting but usually building and garden based. It could include finishing off an underground earth bag hobbit hole. We have a passion for earth building and organic gardening.

We are the best of friends who live together and run a 24-hour restaurant in Oneonta, New York. We built our Deli with our own hands, using old rustic barn wood and other recycled materials. We love working together to serve good, wholesome food in a warm, encouraging environment — a haven from the storms of life. Our community is part of a worldwide network of communities, many of which also run restaurants, organic farms, and cottage industries where volunteers are also welcome to live and work with us. We all work together in our houses and at our Deli. There is a lot to do in maintaining a community. We have two large houses where we live and the Deli always needs constant care and attention. We enjoy having guests and volunteers who want to get to know us by living and working with us. We gather together every morning (at 7am) and evening (at 6pm) to express whatever is on our hearts. We sing a wide variety of songs we've written and we dance there to express our joy. We give...

Our family comprises of 4 Kunekune pet pigs; Ben,the very friendly Shar Pei/ Labrador X a number of chickens and a (mostly) friendly host. The happiness of each one here is most important, whether human or animal. That's why all of our animals are moving around freely and have good shelter. Ben, the large friendly dog, is allowed on the sofa. You are made to feel welcome. Older helpers are also very welcome! I love cooking for our helpers, and most- if not all, really enjoyed our meals together. It does not matter if you are introvert or extravert, there will be plenty of room for your own space as well as plenty of opportunity to connect with human and animals. The help required are for the standard 4 hours. Whenever possible, you can choose from a number of jobs you might enjoy, whether it's gardening, weeding, wood working, painting, help with fencing. If you really like animals, you m...

About Us We’re Joseph and Deborah, living in a large, older home on ten wooded acres surrounded by lakes and protected forests near Gainesville, Florida.

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. Plenty going on during summer, shearing, stock work, fencing, weed control, garden tidying, lawn mowing, lots of tractor driving etc. It would be great to have some strong keen helpers to help fix fences and do some building work. It's an idyllic rural setting with excellent access to rivers, mountains, mountain biking, Abel Tasman & Kahurangi National Parks etc. with easy access to some of the best fly fishing rivers in NZ (and the world!) There's 4-6 hours work per day depending on tasks. Plenty of flexibility to work full days and have plenty of time off to explore. T...

The helper accommodation is a double room in a 200 year old Cotswold stone house located in a small village near Stroud. There’s woodland above and it’s in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty backing on to the Toadsmoor valley. The house is 35 mins walk from Stroud town centre. From the garden...great for forest walks and exploring the Cotswolds. English, Spanish and French is spoken. I have my child with me half the week..

Its good if you are over the age of 20, are self motivated and can work unsupervised. We are located on Auckland's beautiful West Coast only 40mins drive from Auckland central city.

We give...

This beautiful little organic orchard is on the Richmond Hills, a 5 min drive to Richmond and 15mins to Nelson. We are growing citrus, avocados, nuts and a variety of other fruit trees, catering for our small community as well as a large vege garden. We also have some sheep and chickens. The jobs will depend on the time of the year but include pruning, weeding, mulching, harvesting, etc. If you have any building skills could be very handy as there are always a few projects going. The accommodation is a cute tiny home in the orchard with a separate shower and (composting) toilet unit. It has a sleeping mezzanine with a queen bed. Also the downstairs couch is a single sofa bed. There is a small kitchen with fridge and cooking facilities. It is suitable for a single person or a couple. There is a carpark. No wifi included. I'm looking for a single person or couple who can help me in the orchard, either 2hrs per day /5 days per week. This is for accommodation only. Meals are not include...

2 Small farms turned into the one near the West Coast of Clare. We keep lots of farm animals like cattle, horses, donkeys and sheep. We produce a wide range of vegetables for ourselves and some for selling. We have two children, went to primary Steiner/ Waldorf school; Frank (25) and Fina(21) and they love having volunteers around the place. Fina is doing equine studies and Frank studies horticulture and loves travelling. We hope you have the ability to adapt to our for most of you different and simple life-style and enjoy farmwork with irregular hours at times, and you will get a true sense of farming life-style! It is important to realise beforehand that you are a volunteer who gets the opportunity to join into our family home/life so please do not compare with a regular paid job.. Most important is that you are happy and enjoy your stay with us... We offer healthy food, wonderful sunsets and rainbows, some Irish traditional music, and the possibility to learn more about old style f...

A LONG STAY WILL BE PERFECT FOR A COUPLE OR ONE PERSON. 🏡 Stay at a 15th-Century PRIEURE in Southern France — Help with Maintenance & Guesthouse Care (Starting January, Long-Term Welcome). We are Isabelle (57) and Eric (60). Our charming 15th-century Prieuré (Priory) is located just 1.4km from Goudargues, a lovely village in Southern France often called “the Little Venice” because of its pretty river running through the center. The Prieuré is surrounded by countryside, fields, and trees. A small river lies only 200 meters away — perfect for swimming or sunbathing in summer. There’s also a swimming pool, a patio, 9 rooms, a chapel, and lots of character. Helpers always enjoy the peace, the nature, and the chance to explore our beautiful region. I, Isabelle, manage the guesthouse and work mainly off-site, taking care of administration, bookings, and accounting. Eric lives at the Prieuré and looks after the daily maintenance and guests. 🌿 What We Offer • A private apartment wit...

Check out our fantastic reviews to see what a great time helpers have had here. We offer a warm, welcoming home with a beautiful garden in easy-going Rotorua. PLEASE READ OUR PROFILE CAREFULLY BEFORE CONTACTING US. UPDATE: 🌟 We could really do with a strong, willing person to assist with a complete re-roof job in the first week of June. Helping Marcus to lift materials up to the roofer. 🌟 Early August, and energetic person to support Marcus in the madness and clean-up of our living area when builders rip down the old ceiling, and replace it with a new one! Then to help paint the new ceiling (Marcus can patiently teach you how to be an excellent painter). Minimum age: 25, with good English. Accommodation: Excellent accommodation - immaculate Airbnb standard room and house. Your own private double bedroom in a spacious home with a lovely garden. Work exchange: only 3 hours per day, 5 days a week. 9am start, it flies by and leaves us all free to enjoy the afternoon and e...
