My partner and I are building an off-grid sculptured cob home, the first of many on 74 acres of rainforest 30min from Port Douglas and 1.5hrs from Cairns. We have solar power, bore water, compost toilet with gas fridge & cooking. Help would be with cob building (mixing cob, building small round cob buildings, cutting bottle bricks, digging clay), gardening, mulching, brushcutting, feeding animals, etc. There are beautiful local rainforest walks to safe swimming creeks/waterfall. We have ducks, chickens, dog & cat and there is also plenty of room for self contained vans to park up. Nature lovers paradise, learning about self sufficiency, off-grid systems, natural building and growing food. We are currently running Earthbuilding workshops also. Accommodation is in a double bed caravan or camping.

We are a small, newly established hobby farm with a big vision to create a world where the health and well-being of both people and the planet can flourish. Our motto is from little things big things grow! We are guided by the principles of permaculture – People Care, Earth Care and Fair Share. We acknowledge the Gunaikurnai people as traditional custodians of the land we live and work on. Our aim as temporary caretakers is to create a lifestyle that is slower, simpler, happier, more self-sufficient, and kinder to the planet, as a demonstration to others of what might be possible. This place is the home base for a counselling and eco-therapy mental health service, which works with nature to improve people’s health and well-being, and to promote healing and growth. We also have lots of big ideas and projects in the makings, as well as ongoing jobs. These include: - establishing an orchard - establishing permaculture gardens - building a new chicken house and run - growing 'Herbs f...

UPDATE 1st of June 2026: Too hot to host for the next 4 months, see you back October onwards. Hola todas! My place is an old grain mill with half a hectare of land. I live here for more than 17 years and hosted many volunteers. Work is mostly in the garden. Weeding, digging, planting, watering, harvesting and off course eating. There is a big cat family living on the land. Help in the kitchen is welcome. Special dietary requirements must be met by the helpers. In the area there are many activities possible. More yoga teachers than there are yoga students. Meditations, dancing, healing, massage, channeling, singing,....! Many communities of all sorts (hippy, midwives, subud, soefie). Hiking in all directions. Even skiing starting beginning of December. I try to keep a healthy environment, so no drugs that cloud your spirit. No dogs either. People mostly stay between one and two weeks. Work is about 5 days a week, 4 hours a day. Food and lodging included. Flexible. Work depends on pe...

** CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR HELP** Hi, welcome to NZ, and hopefully to Kōpuaranga, Masterton! Our home out of site of other houses, so a rural experience, views and usually a great night sky are guaranteed - yet still only a ten minute drive to our service town of Masterton which has rail links to Wellington. An easy pick up or drop off if you do not have your own vehicle. We are located just a 1.5 hour drive north of Wellington off State Highway 2. Masterton is central to a lot of walks, mountains rivers and coastline and some beach/ surf communities too. We have a river boundary with trout and eels, and it is great for a speedy dip on the hot days before the nature gets too curious! We have now been on this property for 18 months, so much has been achieved with HelpX travel friends, but we are only half way through... Outside we are building bird rearing pens, raising chickens and sheep, and further developing our produce and ornamental gardens. Inside we are wallpaper stripping...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths.

We are both retired and live in a converted barn in about two acres of land. The nearest town is Villefranche de Rouergue which is ten kilometres away. We have lived in France long enough to appreciate what we call proper food so. we strive to vary the diet so that no main meal is repeated for at least 14 days (unless specially requested) It may be French, it may be British, or it may be a mixture of French and British and on occasions you will taste the local delicacies We are very flexible about working hours all we ask is that in return for five hours work per day, five days a week, at a time to suit yourself, we will provide you with good healthy tasty food and a private comfortable room which has TV and en-suite facilities, If you are a couple who wish complete privacy, we could provide you with a separate self-contained apartment. Must be non-smoker and we find that feeding vegans is difficult. Please note. If you want to practice your English, then we are your ideal hosts a...

Hobbits are "little people" with big hearts and big bare feet firmly connected with mother earth. They habitually live "under the radar" of some PC embellished society and try all their best to not succumb to the madness of it. Claiming their birth right to nature's abundance, love, beauty and endless creativity they naturally make up to and make do with the lack of gold caused by the greedy child-eating dragon behind the bare stone mountains.. Hi, my name is Marianne. I live on a classic New Zealand all-day sunny "tree quarter acre of hobbit shire" looking down to Oamaru. If you arrive early enough at my kitchen window or even up on the jungle hill behind the cottage, you can see the sea and watch the sunrise. A 10 minute stroll down Eden Street gets you either to the CBD or to the shoreline. I am providing three basic meals per day as well as a comfortable and quiet room for your stay and to relax after our daily four hours of working together "out there", somewhere on some befitt...

Hey hey HelpX'ers! 😊 I'm a 31-year-old Kiwi who has spent over five years travelling the world, visiting more than 60 countries and doing HelpX and working holidays in several of them. Those experiences were some of the highlights of my travels, so now it's my turn to return the favour and host! Our farm is a little slice of paradise. We're just 5 minutes from the beach and 5 minutes from town, but tucked away enough to enjoy peace, quiet, beautiful sunsets, and some of the best starry skies you'll ever see. I'm hoping to welcome people who value kindness, respect, good conversation, and enjoying the simple things in life. My goal is to create an easy-going environment where work gets done, but having a great experience together is just as important. The work is a relaxed mix of farm, lifestyle, and general property jobs. We have cattle, sheep, chickens, our friendly cat Molly, gardens, an orchard, and there's always something different happening, so no two days are ever the same...

Hello, my partner John & I, have had a wonderful time sharing our home with volunteers. We now have a vacancy from October. Short or longer stays are welcome. We usually have 2 volunteers staying with us, each with their own bedroom. Volunteers can cover each others time off & share the tasks. We usually take volunteers out to places of interest, on a Saturday. We live as a family & enjoy many things together, with our volunteers, many of whom have become lasting friends. We live in a 4 bed modern dormer bungalow, in a beautiful village, with a shop & bus stop 3 minutes walk from the house. We live with my father, who is 89 years old and has memory loss. My father is calm & relaxed. Nurses come three times a day to look after my father, washing & dressing him, volunteers dont need to do those tasks, My father does like to have volunteers, to watch television with him, so that he’s not alone & he enjoys helping volunteers improve their English pronunciation. Hi, my name is Claire, I'm 49 and I live in a charming hamlet in the Dordogne countryside. I have an orchard, a small henhouse with three chickens, and a small vegetable patch. I have two children (14 and 21) but they may not be present during your stay. We have two cats. The setting is very pleasant, very green and touristy, with many places to visit: castles, swimming spots, farmers' markets, forest walks... After an unsuccessful project, I'm in need of help to clear, sort, tidy and maintain the house and grounds. I'm a handywoman with an ecological bent, and can pass on a few skills: sewing, crocheting, knitting, embroidery, drawing, recipes for eco-friendly household products, etc. There is Wi-Fi in the house for communication. The train station is a 20-minute drive away. There is no transport, so I'll be your “cab” if you don't have a car. I can lend bicycles. I'd be delighted to share and exchange, as I like to create links. If you'd like, I'll help you discover the festive event...

Hello, my name is Florent, I'm 45 years old, I was a chef for about twenty years, and since 2017 I've been a spirulina producer. Spirulina is a microalga that's very rich in nutrients. It's a very environmentally friendly crop, requiring little energy and no pesticides. Spirulina needs sun and warmth to grow. The harvest season in our region runs from April to October, and it's during this period that I'm interested in hosting someone (I don't need two people at the same time, one is enough). Normally, I already have people helping me until the end of august, so I'm looking for someone from beginning of september. I mainly need someone to help me harvest the spirulina but also to help me out on the farm with various tasks, as we do everything ourselves: cleaning, labeling, packaging, general maintenance and odd jobs, and also everything else that goes along with the spirulina production: clearing brush, chopping wood, going to markets from time to time, house construction, etc.....

We are near the Shoalwater Marine Park and Penguin Island 40mins from Perth city centre. Very close to public transport, cafes and library. Ideal for beach walking, diving, swimming, cycling, fishing, sailing and windsurfing (beach is 60 metres away). Accommodation would take form of a fully insulated cute tiny garden room with access to undercover cooking area and bathroom. IT is small so please See photos. On week days we are usually working in Perth so we cant provide meals, but a well-stocked supermarket is 200 metres away. When possible we can take turns for meals if possible. We average 2/3 hours a day painting, plumbing gardening and other repairs and can negotiate best time to do that, for example maybe it’s more convenient to do two longer days during the week.Greg is usually available to help you with your car or take you fishing, boating or sightseeing if you’re willing to free him up from his other commitments. When you email please let us know when you plan to get to Per...

2 Small farms turned into the one near the West Coast of Clare. We keep lots of farm animals like cattle, horses, donkeys and sheep. We produce a wide range of vegetables for ourselves and some for selling. We have two children, went to primary Steiner/ Waldorf school; Frank (25) and Fina(21) and they love having volunteers around the place. Fina is doing equine studies and Frank studies horticulture and loves travelling. We hope you have the ability to adapt to our for most of you different and simple life-style and enjoy farmwork with irregular hours at times, and you will get a true sense of farming life-style! It is important to realise beforehand that you are a volunteer who gets the opportunity to join into our family home/life so please do not compare with a regular paid job.. Most important is that you are happy and enjoy your stay with us... We offer healthy food, wonderful sunsets and rainbows, some Irish traditional music, and the possibility to learn more about old style f...

Our property is right on the edge of New Plymouth city, it is surrounded by lovely green paddocks. We have a small orchard, and a vegetable garden. We also operate a business from our home. We would like to offer a homestay experience for any travellers interested in visiting Taranaki. We have a lovely mountain, black sand beaches, and beautiful parks. I can give you a ride into town and back during the day if needed, but you would need your own transport if you want to go out at night. Jobs that need doing are: wood stacking, hedge trimming, painting, pruning. In exchange for 4 hours of work a day, you will get good healthy meals with meat and veges from the land, if you have special needs you may use the kitchen to prepare your own food. Please get in touch if you would like to come and stay for up to a week.

MEQUINENZA SPAIN PERIOD : Now until 15th November. I am a single mom who, after her dad's death, has been given the supervision of a large country house located between the fruit plantations in Mequinenza, Spain. The house is supplied with electricity via solar panels and a generator, and water is pumped from the ebro and stored in 2 water tanks of 2000 liters. Potable water is collected in buses at a water pump in the village. To give the house and grounds back to their former glory, I could use help in return for this, I provide full board accommodation. Anyone who loves adventure, peace, and nature and is not afraid to roll up their sleeves is very welcome to me. Sufficient relaxation is also included so that the bow does not have to be constantly tensioned. The house has 5 bedrooms. The upstairs bedroom garage is equipped with a double bed and 2 bunk beds and has a sink and toilet. Downstairs there is a bedroom with two single beds, transformed to a big double bed and with a wash...

HI HELPERS!!! WELCOME TO JOHN`S FUN FACTORY!!! BULLETIN: I live in a beautiful isolated Tasmanian mountain valley surrounded by world heritage rain forest and some VERY TALL Trees!(but not as big as the Hinoki trees at AliShan in Taiwan!!) Most of my property is a nature reserve, but I have a 2 Hectare orchard, berry garden and vegetable garden which are all useless! The possums, wallabies and birds eat most of these (trees included!) so we live on ice cream and chocolate biscuits instead! Please come and help us eat the biscuits so I don`t get too fat! Oh, by the way, all the Wallabies are called "Skippy" and they don`t mind a bit of apple or banana occasionally. I have been a volunteer host for 18 years and I have had more than 1700(Yes!!!you read it correctly!) fabulous, lovely, wonderful volunteers stay with me. Many of them have come back for second, third…or even 10th visits!!!!! Work can be really diverse including tree planting, mowing grass, helping to install forest fire...

Hello. Summer is almost here...There's always something to do on the property... I need one or two people to take care of the animals...and for my Mom who is elderly but independent and enjoys talking and exchanging with everyone.....So that would be a valuable help to us. Ideally, of course, for 3 or 4 weeks, but if possible, just two weeks. This will also be a great help. Helping with the garden and various small jobs...There's no major work to be done...The construction of the apartment in the farmhouse is almost finished. The property is not far away from little town of Bletterans in the Jura. House and Farm in a very nice place close to ponds (étangs Vaillant). With animals (no big animal) in the property, geese, ducks, chickens, rabbits, barnacles, ponies, one donkey, birds, 🐓🐔🐦🐟🐸🐇🐈🦆🐎🐐... Sometime since april lawn mowing and some help for the work which must be done around the farm and the house. Currently there's not much to cut because of the drought. And also for ...

We are both retired and live in a converted barn in about two acres of land. The nearest town is Villefranche de Rouergue which is ten kilometres away.

Nous vivons avec nos deux chats dans notre vieille ferme construite il y a plus de 200 ans. C'est un endroit paisible de la campagne française, à proximité d'un tout petit village.
