If you’re interested in helping on a beef cattle farm, cuddling foals and experiencing the Aussie farm life, you are most welcome here. We have a number of building jobs going at the moment so if you are handy with mechanics, metal, wood or a paint brush, that would be very helpful to us. Your daily tasks would be to feed the animals in the morning and evening, and caring for the mare and foal, gardening and general farm chores or in the household. There is always something to do. It would be great if you know how to drive a manual vehicle and you can learn to drive a tractor or a quad here. In exchange you can choose between a cozy room or caravan with everything inside that you need and I provide food for all your meals. You prepare your own breakfast and lunch and in the evening we have a home cooked dinner together. We also have unlimited WiFi and a car that you can use to visit the local area. We are located on the edge of a small country town of Blayney in NSW, 3 hours w...

With fencing and building we also need help. We have composting, vegetable garden and fruit trees. When it rains we need help with our grain farming. Currently we need help with cutting fire wood around the property, this will consist of 3 to 4 hours per day and can help get you some pocket money and also experience the land. I also have bee hives that need some attention a...

I would be very happy to welcome volunteer teachers who are willing to help at my school for two or three months, or even for a full semester. *I want the volunteers who work at my school to not feel like they are working. Instead, I want them to feel that they are enjoying themselves and having a holiday while staying with us. Their room is fully equipped with air conditioning, hot showers, and a spacious private room that is separate from the main house, so they can feel comfortable and relaxed during their stay.* My name is Edison I have a wife, her name is Nofi. I also have two children, Ochta (32 years old) and Fadlil (12 years old). Ochta can speak English. I run a private English school for children between the ages of 7 and 19 in the small town of Batusangkar, West Sumatra. We live on 47 hectares in beautiful Callignee in the Latrobe Valley. Callignee is only 18 minutes from Traralgon (by car) which has everything that one could need. Shops, cinema, pubs, restaurants and a V-Line train to Melbourne (2 hour trip). Callignee is an area with a lot of wild life. We have resident kangaroos, wombats, echidnas and many different birds. The farm is a commercial operation and we breed Belted Galloway cattle. The helpers would stay in their own bedroom, of which we have two available, with access to your own bathroom. In exchange for accommodation and food we expect help on the farm. Approx. 4 hours per day, 5 days a week. Moving and caring for livestock, clearing paddocks, cut firewood, maintain small orchard and veggie garden, house cleaning. We cannot sign off on your 88 day's. Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) , please don't come if you have a heavy cold or flu, I'm involved with the elderly. Cheers Al

Help out in the morning (2 hrs), surf or relax in the afternoon. We are looking for 1 or 2 happy helpers to join our team from mid-September. The work is mainly housekeeping and general hospitality tasks. The jobs are easy, but we are looking for someone who has an eye for detail and a positive “can-do” attitude. In exchange for 2 hours of help each morning, you get: 🏠 free accommodation, dbl room for couples and twin room for friends, 🌴 plenty of free time to surf, explore or simply relax. Our lodge is a historic Kauri building right on 90 Mile Beach at Shipwreck Bay, Ahipara, a beautiful spot famous for its surfing. We are a small guest house with 18 beds and a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Most of our guests come here for surfing and to explore Cape Reinga. If you are not into surfing, no problem — it’s a great place to hang out, relax and make friends. Hi. We are a fun, friendly household in the sunny Bay of Plenty! I'm a Drama & English teacher and Blair is an electrician. My husband and I have 2 fun, adventurous girls, we also have a dog and cat. We enjoy biking, baking, board games and picnics at the beach, amongst other things. We would love to host people who are honest, friendly, independent, hard-workers and are interested in meeting new people and enjoying what Tauranga has to offer. In exchange for 4 hours work per day (six days a week), you will receive free accommodation, continental breakfast and dinner (please provide your own lunch and snacks) and wifi. Work includes domestic-type chores; mainly cleaning, cooking and possibly baby-sitting - helps if you like children and animals. We have a cat and golden retriever. It is definitely easier if you have a car, although buses are available from here. We had a homestay from China for a year who found their way round on the buses fine but it does take a while. Happy for a...

We are a family of four living in the Noosa Hinterland on the Sunshine Coast, with a beautiful border collie, and a small flock of pet chickens. We can offer accomodation in a spacious freshly renovated caravan with outdoor cooking and bathroom facilities. The accomodation is privately situated 100m away from our house, in a peaceful area by the dam. In exchange we'd love 20 hours of help per week on our Permaculture based property, negotiable days of work. Help would include maintaining food forests and veggie beds, invasive weed management (Singapore Daisy), tree pruning, making compost, looking after chickens, mowing, whipper snipping, and assisting with small building projects. We are near the Shoalwater Marine Park and Penguin Island 40mins from Perth city centre. Very close to public transport, cafes and library. Ideal for beach walking, diving, swimming, cycling, fishing, sailing and windsurfing (beach is 60 metres away). Accommodation would take form of a fully insulated cute tiny garden room with access to undercover cooking area and bathroom. IT is small so please See photos. On week days we are usually working in Perth so we cant provide meals, but a well-stocked supermarket is 200 metres away. When possible we can take turns for meals if possible. We average 2/3 hours a day painting, plumbing gardening and other repairs and can negotiate best time to do that, for example maybe it’s more convenient to do two longer days during the week.Greg is usually available to help you with your car or take you fishing, boating or sightseeing if you’re willing to free him up from his other commitments. We are looking for helpers who can help for a minimum of two weeks, ideally three weeks minimum, but helpers who can stay a bit longer, up to six weeks or similar are preferred. This really suits helpers who are keen to learn about farming and are interested in that as part of their travels through NZ. We provide you with your own separate, private, peaceful accommodation, with en-suite, washing machine and kitchen with beautiful views of rural land and Tasman Bay. Wi-Fi, power and water included, plus food allowance. Helpers love that it also gives them a break from van-life and they can spread out and relax in their own space and explore locally. At present we are looking at availability from the end of September/early October and onward through the summer. You must be physically strong, hard-working, practical and fit, with plenty of stamina - as well as not being afraid of getting your hands dirty. Hi, my name is Lin Zhao, the volunteer manager of this farm. After graduating from my university I have now decided to live and work on the farm, since I was born and grew up here. I really love this land. This farm belongs to our big family. It is overall primarily run by my uncle, though I will be your main contact person for the volunteering program. The farm is located in a small town called Jiuling, an hour drive from Mianyang city, Sichuan province, China. The farm is more than 300 hectares and it mainly lives on the swine business. We raise more than 5000 pigs, grow fruits (peach, grape, kiwi), peanuts and some vegetables. We employ about 150 local workers that help us running the farm. All the workers have their meals in the canteen together with the volunteers. Besides from pigs we have free-range chickens, goats and also some fishes in the different ponds. But this is not the only things we do. We also work on restoring the local ecological environment by reforestation bec...

My focus is on producing healthy, nutrient-dense food in an environmentally-sustainable and ethical manner. That may sound like a lot of multi-syllable boxes to tick, but it comes down to common sense and logic and knowing the consequences of your interactions wtih nature. I research, experiment, write about, consult and teach how to live off the land. Hence my orchard contains a huge range of food-producing plants. However, I have learnt to distinguish between edible and tasty and I love it when travellers from other cultures teach me how to use a food in a way previously unknown to me (remember, all of NZ food plants are imports). In October 2026, I would like to host several Helpers simultaneously for a spring working bee in the orchard. The main task will be organically feeding the trees. This is a nice way of saying we will be spreading mulch. It is physical outside work, and with a group, quite quick and fun. Other normal spring tasks such as looking after the animals, so...

We are Craig, Violaine and Max, 6, we also have 2 cats, Pearl and Russell, and ducks, chickens, muscoveys, turkeys, and Arapawa heritage sheep. Our touristic lodge, where we live, is situated at the bottom of the South Island, with privates rooms, shared bathrooms and some camp sites, catering to mostly hikers but its open to anyone. Closed the winter season, we are still busy doing renovations, preparing the gardens or traveling. Trying to be eco-friendly, semi self sufficient, means that we do a lot of gardening in a hands on spray free way (essentially organics, but that is a licensed word), growing our own food for meals, seed raising, planting, picking, preserving the excess to sell or use, there is always something to do and they can change from month to month with the seasons.. Craig is a chef and barista and cooks breakfasts and dinners for guests, if they book meals, we try to cook everything from scratch, making the bread, compote, make jams, etc. If you are interested in f...

We are currently seeking helpers to start after mid-October. We would like to host people over age 25 (non-smokers) who enjoy outdoor physical work. This is a private beach property which is part farm, part native forest. We are landscaping the property, creating tracks in the bush and planting more native trees. There are a wide variety of jobs, including building projects, firewood, landscaping and gardening. We are 10 minutes drive from Takaka village. We will provide a beautiful private ensuite room, evening meals and good Kiwi hospitality during your stay. We expect 4 hours work per day, usually mornings, but we're flexible with how work hours are managed. We welcome HelpX guests for a minimum of 4 days. We are into tramping, kayaking, mountain biking and dance!

At our off- grid solar, wood and gravity powered homestead you can live very close to Nature and learn by helping, how to grow your own food in the big, fully caged vegie garden/ orchard and some of how to build a bush cabin (it could be a winning strategy in years to come). We are long term, committed advocates, for climate change action and we've lived with Sustainability and Creating a low "Carbon Footprint" in mind, for 40 yrs now, settling here, (inland of Taree / Port Macquarie) from scratch in 1980, on 680 acres of rocky ridge forest on the wild and steep NW edge of the Bulga Plateau, 500m above sea level (a very beautiful but challenging location)! Watch our YouTube video below, about our community and us, made by the very talented helpxer, Louie Ablett. Three of us live here now, myself 74, David 84 and Sue 64, who started as a WWOOFer and has moved here with the help of a voluntary activity agreement through Centrelink for over 55s'. Sue came in September 2019 , lost th...

We are a family of four living on five picturesque acres in a beautiful valley in the Perth Hills, Western Australia. Our property is home to a large garden with fruit trees, ornamental trees, ponds and garden beds, as well as a small flock of chickens and our two friendly dogs. With two teenage children and busy family lives, we're looking to welcome couples who would enjoy helping us care for our property while experiencing Australian family life. We especially value cultural exchange and enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds. While we strongly prefer couples, we may also consider singles who are a great fit. We also own a rural property in nearby Jarrahdale, so some tasks may take place there. Both properties are managed using biodynamic principles, and we have increasingly been incorporating permaculture practices into our land management. We are particularly interested in hearing from people who share these values or who are keen to learn more about regenerative agricu...

Version française plus bas. __________________________________ Hello! We moved from Germany five years ago to the beautiful Gaspé-coast. We’re located 5km from the sea and we live midst a community of young people. Who’s “we”? Well, it’s Catherine (37 years old), Olaf (46 years old), Mathis (4 years)and Mika (12 months) and Artemis, our cat. We try to be as self-sufficient as possible on the food and work in our garden to make it a little bigger each year. We grow organic (not certified) vegetables of all kinds, berries, medicinal herbs, perennials and more. We also have a wood lot close by. We try to make our own seeds as much as possible and start our own seedlings in spring for the garden and the greenhouse. We also transform our harvest by drying, fermenting, canning, making juice etc. Of course there is always things to do around the house and inside, too. So there is always some extra hands needed. Our handcraft-projects include wood, leather, basketing, sewing, mosaic and other...

We love having helpx, please read our reviews. At the moment we are looking for two people who have practical experience with weeding and gardening, shifting firewood and general tidying up. We are also looking for someone with building and practical experience with building or fencing, building steps, planting/gardening and who enjoy physical, mostly outdoor work. Our jobs require practical experience, or willingness to learn - gardening, cleaning, spraying, weed-eating, washing the house, windows etc. We don't currently have airbnb guests so you would get to stay in the luxury airbnb unless we get a booking, then you would either sleep in a sofa bed in the cabin or if you prefer your van and just use our shared spaces. We love hosting travelers and enjoy also getting jobs done on our list. With having 10 acres to care for, there is always something to do. Ideally you would have a vehicle as we do live rurally. We will give you food and accommodation in exchange for 4 hours...

This is a Standardbred Race Horse (Harness Racing) farm at the foot of Tamborine Mountain. Located 45 minutes from Brisbane in the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland. The closest train station is Beenleigh. Your own car is a plus. We welcome working holiday visa holders with good horse experience and most importantly a passion for horses !! In order to learn your daily task, routine and horses personalities, we will ask you to stay a minimum of 3 weeks. Long stays are really welcome. Your role on the farm would be helping with the daily care of our racehorses. It's an everyday job starting depending of the sun (4.30am in summer and later on winter time). We start each morning training the horses, washing them and feeding them. All the retired horses need to be feed and watered as well. We need to feed and water all the horses again each night before dark. The ideal helpers will be positive, willing and with a some decent english. Because it’s a 30 hec property and there is always some...

DO YOU LOVE ❤️ OYSTERS? 🦪🦪🦪🦪🦪🥂 If the answer is YES come and work with us ! If not that's fine as we have lots of nice food to offer. Work for 3-4 hours then we will have an amazing dinner. Often oysters. You can stay with us at our holiday house with water views. Or you can just come for the day and catch the last ferry home after dinner. The option might exist to stay longer but that’s by special request as you’d be alone & would need a car. This would suit singles, (if there's other staying) couples or a group of friends wanting a short but fun adventure. Sometimes we have small numbers just 2 people, other times large numbers but this is usually only when we are there to arrange all the food etc. BRUNY ISLAND has BEACHES, FORESTS, BIRDS, NATURE, and so much more. We are located at Adventure Bay on the South of the island which is roughly a 90 minute journey from Hobart. The first ferry to Bruny island is around 6.50am, then every 30 minutes after no bookings requir...

My husband Matthias and I, Johanna, came from Germany as backpackers in the 1980s. We met here in NZ, but our home language is German. We are a family with eight children, who we home-educated throughout their school years. Three of them are now married, and we have five grandchildren. Five of our now grown-up children are living at home - either still or again - our oldest son with his wife and 4 boys is living in our cottage, and another son with his wife and baby has moved into a smaller house on our property. A friend lives in our housetruck. So life is happening to the full! Sadly, my husband passed away in January 2024 after a short time of intense illness. We miss him much! Our lifestyle block is home to a gaggle of geese, a flock of domestic ducks, around 40 chickens, some sheep and sometimes a few young male goats, - and of course many wild birds, rabbits and the tiny creatures of fields, woods and duck-pond. An old apple, apricot and peach orchard and a young walnut grove ar...

Need helpers NOW in beautiful, sunny Marlborough! In return for 4 hours help a day I offer you accommodation and all meals in a sunny, warm home where you will have your own bedroom (queen size bed) and own bathroom with the added privacy of being in a separate wing of my house. My sunny home sits atop a hill from which you will have a magnificent view of the township of Blenheim to Cook Strait and the hills of the North Island beyond. Of course if you would prefer to work a full day in order to have a day off in which you could explore the nearby Marlborough Sounds, cycle the wine trails, or walk or climb on any of the formed tracks in this area, that would be just fine. My 40 ha property is a sheep/beef farm most of which is leased. I tend a large garden and care for the drive and tracks, drainage and irrigation and deal with fallen trees. It is help with this work I require.. Therefore most of the work is outdoor, constantly varied, not difficult, with some indoors work on occ...

If you would like a homely, wondrous Blue Mountains experience, nestled in nature, without being surrounded by tourists, you’re welcome to stay with us. You will relax and unwind here, sit in front of the fire in the evenings, drink tea, go on bushwalks, watch the alpacas, and share stories. Then wake to amazing sunrises! Especially quiet for those that have just come from a Vipassana meditation retreat. If you're a rock climber, you can walk to crags at Shipley and Centennial Glen. We have two alpacas, some chickens, and two indoor cats. We live in a new house on a two acres, next to the Blue Mountains National Park. Amazing bushwalks begin at our home. Walk to Govetts Leap waterfall, Evans Lookout, the Grand Canyon, and Blue Gum Forest. We need ENERGETIC help in the yard, mainly splitting firewood. There are lots of small jobs, all requiring good strong MUSCLES. We also need help with BUSH REGENERATION because there are weeds that have invaded the rare and endangered hanging s...

** LOOKING FOR HELPERS. PLEASE GET IN TOUCH VIA WHATSAPP AND SHARE YOUR HELPX PROFILE ** Pete and I are a married couple in our early 30s. We are well-travelled, friendly and love adventures. Pete is a builder and I'm a lawyer/research consultant. We enjoy exploring New Zealand's beautiful backyard - Pete is a keen fisherman, free-diver and surfer and I enjoy open-water long distance swimming. We don't have any pets or kids. Pete lovingly built a new house in the coastal hill suburb of Mt Pleasant a few years ago. It is a two-storey home with a large deck and beautiful views to the hills and estuary. Pete is a keen gardener and we have many house plants! Our house has a bus stop directly across the road and close other coastal suburbs like Redcliffs, Sumner and Lyttelton (10 minutes) as well as Christchurch central (15 minutes). There are many great walks in the area. Our home is new, warm and dry. The helper/s would have their own private room downstairs with a private bathroom and...

I run a private English school for children between the ages of 7 and 19 in the small town of Batusangkar, West Sumatra. Cheers Al

Hello wonderful Help-xer's! We have an opportunity for a couple, to come for a week, or two weeks at a time. We are a family of five running a sheep and beef farm in Rissington, just out of Napier. (three children aged 12, 14 and 16) We have comfortable accommodation with your own large King bedroom and bathroom, that would suit an energetic, couple, or one/two motivated people travelling together who are keen to help with our beautiful riverside accommodation whilst learning about our culture and family along the way! You will stay and help cook meals for our family whilst having the opportunity to go out and explore the beautiful Hawkes Bay. We are looking for help with the following; landscaping, weeding, spraying, limbing up trees, spraying down and washing outside of buildings, washing windows, gardening and general maintenance around the property. Your own car would be an advantage. In return for your help, we would love to welcome you into our close-knit family and community ...

The beach is right in front of the lodge — a fantastic place to chill, surf, swim, walk or enjoy the sunsets. If you are frie...

Ideally we'd like at least a 2 week stay. One home cooked meal, and one DIY breakfast food provided per day. We're happy to share any fruit, veggies and eggs with you, as available. Beautiful hill country sheep and cattle farm, with views of the sea and mountai...

Outdoor cleaning, planting and pruning outside We sometimes need someone to be ok if we’re heading away for a few nights We often are looking for people to help us with gardening/landscaping; if someone has experience with a chainsaw, that might be handy! Planting heritage apple trees, native trees, living willow weaving Planting bulbs, perennials, seeds, scarification of ground to put seeds - any electrical people welcome!! - painting, outside and inside - general cleaning - random other jobs - who knows!!! We live beside a lake called Ballyquirke Lough. We are the beginning of Connemara. Bus passes outside our gate Galway is well known for it's multicultural aspects and there is always something to do or go to!! There are many festivals or mini festivals. A quick google search would give you some idea!
