Central Ohio 45 min south of Columbus. Commitment of 2-4 months if possible. 1-2 people, I prefer female travelers. Accommodation in exchange for 12-20 hours week. Wi-Fi included. I will provide breakfast, and you would provide your own food for dinners, and toiletries. You can eat on your own or share meals with me, and sometimes sharing meals with local friends. Accommodation is a 2 story historic brick building upstairs, with large furnished shared main space; a lounge, kitchen, and bathroom. There are 2 bedrooms (one with a double bed, one with with a twin bed and separate sitting room, so you will have a private bedroom). I have a lovely courtyard patio to hang out when the weather is warm, and some small garden beds. There is also storage space and off street parking. The living quarters are upstairs (18 steps) and the downstairs is an open warehouse/ storage area. The building is in a rural village, with various larger towns 20-35 min away. I have a working bicycle yo...

Hello, i would be happy for help. There is a lot to do on this place, mostly in the garden. Technical help, e.g. installation of solar panel, building a greenhouse, renovation of an old cattle house would also be needed. A carpenter and a bricklayer would be also great. We are vegetarian ! :-) We are a couple in our best age, and are here since 5 years. We want to build a small place for meditation and Qi Gong here. We want this to become a place for living and coming together. We would be happy to meet you.

Good morning;. Well it rained most of last week.I do not expect a winter water shortage now. I write a review for each helper after they have been here helping me. I know many helpers and hosts do not do that but I do. Like host and helper information that is often very uninformative, I feel it is important to have an opinion and I hope for one in return. I went on the Wagon Train in Montana like I have since 1983. We had a bad wreck, I got hurt. Please come help me. I will need help September onwards and over the winter please. If you can come anytime in that time period it sure would be appreciated. The helper who had been here just over 3 years [yes years],moved . He works in town full time, stayed here for free and helped with chores. I have had 4 really great helpers already this year and 1 vanishing act. Too funny. Not as much to do as most years. Painting will get done this year. That is outside on the little buildings. If it ever stops raining. 2 barn doors need repairs. Ple...

*** update may 2026 *** NEW : I moved to the center of France. I am building a new project: one global project with donkeys and a tiny camping. There is a lot of activities to offer on the site: clearing brush, decluttering, gardening, animal care, DIY, construction, art, music lessons, english lessons etc. And I need help to manage a small camping ... Welcome to my little paradise ! I don't eat animals, raw food basically. So, I prefer the helper cook his own meal (I buy your food, of course). You can stay in a tent, near a pond and with the donkeys. There is two sites in my project : the house which is a reception house for activities and with all services etc. and the pond's site which is at 20 mn on foot from the house, with basics services. The shower is outdoor and compost toilet. In spring and summer we stay on in the pond's site (named l'Ermitage). Contact me if you want to participate in the development of a beautiful project in the heart of nature, with animals. There is ...

Welcome to our family-run permaculture farm in the countryside of Bilecik, Türkiye. My name is Selçuk. I started this farm in 2008 after leaving my white-collar career to build a life closer to soil, animals, food, and nature. Today I live here with my wife, Julia, and together we share our daily life and farm activities with guests from different cultures. I have studied Culinary Arts, Agricultural Technologies, and Medicinal and Aromatic Plants. I also hold a Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC) and have training in holistic management. My main interests are animal systems, fermentation, food transformation, and practical permaculture. Real Rural Life Life here is simple and genuinely rural. We do not offer luxury or hotel-style comfort. You will experience the realities of countryside life: animals, soil, mud, changing weather, quiet nights, and days shaped by nature. Guests stay in a simple guest space on the farm. We provide three meals a day and usually eat together. Food ...

Hi! My name is Iacopo and I run a small organic winery in the beautiful hills of Umbria, central Italy. We produce natural wines and welcome helpers who are interested in learning about vineyards, winemaking and rural Italian life. Depending on the season, tasks may include vineyard work (pruning, tying vines, canopy management, harvest), winery activities, preparing wine tastings, gardening and general help around the property. Helpers stay in a private apartment and receive accommodation and food in exchange for their help. This is a great opportunity for people who enjoy nature, wine, agriculture and a relaxed countryside lifestyle. We usually host 1–2 helpers at a time and we appreciate positive, respectful and proactive people. No previous experience is required, but an interest in wine, farming or Italian culture is welcome.

Hello and welcome to our profile :). If you are reading this and have not yet read our reviews - please do so. We were very disappointed to receive the latest review which as you can see, is in total contrast to all others received over the past ten or more years. We do hope that you can look beyond this and speak directly with us in advance if there is anything you may be concerned about. We can absolutely guarantee that we are not the kind of people that we have been made out to be, and because of this we have attempted to address all points made although we wish we had not been 'forced' to do so by one person who did not find the experience to her satisfaction. Thank you if you are still reading. We are currently seeking a single person or couple. If you are not available until later, and would like to reserve a place with us please drop us a message and we can chat and try and save your preferred dates. Ideally, a minimum commitment of at least one month is necessary. It tak...

I am professional early retired gentleman in my early 60's who lives in a 4 bedroom house with a substantial garden. I seek a helper who will assist with maintaining garden and house and be an engaging companion. House usually has other residents - either tenants or volunteers so there is almost always a little community atmosphere. A private room is provided to all volunteers and house has excellent modern facilities. Also, we often play puzzles, play chess and watch tv movies and TV shows. Listening and sharing music is also a constant activity. Finally walking around Dublin city and exploring the local area is something we do.

We are a cultural and arts community that is working towards being self-sustained. The community is situated in the mountains of Monchique, Portugal surrounded by nature. Our community provides an alternative way of living with permaculture gardens, farm animals, sustainability projects, and arts and cultural workshops. It is a great place to come to meet other like-minded people if you are passionate about sustainability and alternative living. We hold community meetings throughout the week alongside activities and workshops, such as quiz nights, dance nights and yoga classes. If you have something you are passionate about and want to share with others, we would love for you to run a workshop. One of the best things here is the variety of tasks you can do as a volunteer, which gives you the opportunity to learn new skills and discover what you enjoy doing most. Hello, and thank you for looking at our page/profile! We are looking for a helper (1 person) during the summer (2026) for a 2 week period, maybe longer. Starting in June and continue through the summer and fall. We would like help inside and outside and with plenty of gardening and watering of the garden. Outdoor work includes keeping the gardens tidy, cutting and trimming of trees and mowing the lawn. Also the helper must be able to lift and haul fireplace wood and (ideally) know the use of a chain saw but not necessary. All these tasks we do together. Further work includes simple window washing, exterior window and door painting. Saturday house cleaning, gardening, pool cleaning, ironing sheets for the rentals, etc. We are chefs from New York City so we offer great food and comfortable accommodation though we do not do cooking classes to our helpx friends. In the summer time when weather permits, you have a deluxe caravan for your home. You must be very neat and punctual for work...

We are located in the heart of Malaga, one of Europe's most exciting and diverse cities. With its vibrant cultural scene, world-class museums, historic landmarks, countless cafés, parks, and excellent public transport. I would kindly ask you to help with painting, fencing, gardening, sweeping leaves, cleaning and maintaining the house, as well as feeding and caring for the animals. There is plenty of space to relax and enjoy your free time. You will have your own private room, and I will provide breakfast and one warm meal each day. If you enjoy cooking in a holistic and nutritious way, you are more than welcome to do so. I am always happy to share my knowledge about healthy food and learn from others as well. I am not just looking for someone to help with daily tasks—I would like to offer a meaningful cultural exchange and create a positive experience together. If you are interested in meditation, mindfulness, personal growth, or self-discovery, this could be the right place for you. ...

We are a 4-star boutique resort near the quiet white sands of Bai Sao in southern Phu Quoc, and we are looking for 4-5 volunteers a month for our upcoming summer season. In June and July, we need simple maintenance volunteers willing to help with general upkeep. In July and August, our focus shifts entirely to our summer English camp, where we need enthusiastic volunteer teachers to run group classes for kids and lead conversational English sessions for our staff. While you will be living on-site at a 4-star resort with access to our pool, gym, and spa, this is a real-world, active hotel with high standards. We are looking for adaptable, community-minded people who show up ready to be useful, dress appropriately in guest areas, and treat the space with care. Volunteers have a coordinator, a schedule, and clear expectations. But we're also on a tropical island, and that shows. The day-to-day is relaxed, the team is warm, and nobody's watching over your shoulder. Your main point of co...

Namaste! We welcome you to join our family of students and teachers living at a Buddhist School/Monastery in a national park. We are located just 10km from Kathmandu in a very peaceful forest with no traffic sounds, just birds chirping! We have 28 kids between the ages of 7 and 18 years old, all of whom live and study here. With the intention to help underprivileged children and to provide modern and Buddhist education, we serve kids from very poor areas, some without parents, and/or families struggling to survive so the school is a special place for them because it provides them with a family and an opportunity for a better future. Our students are very loving and kind to volunteers so you will very quickly be absorbed into our big family! We do not have any external financial support which we need to feed the kids and pay for teachers, so we must get creative in order to sustain our special school. The biggest help would be through teaching the kids but contributions in any of thes...

Hi there, We are a friendly couple living 12km west from the town of Esperance, near the (not pink!) Pink Lake, on the Great Ocean Drive. You need to have your own vehicle and drivers licence to stay with us. We would love some help with general maintenance tasks on our 5 hectare property. We both have full-time jobs running our business, Lucky Bay Brewing (located on the east side of Esperance near Bandy Creek boat harbour). Our home is surrounded by natural bush with lots of bird life, with a fruit orchard, olive grove, a dog, .... and did have a large organic vegetable garden, chickens & ducks. However, our vegetable garden and chicken house are currently not functional, due to our busy work-life - so these are the main tasks we really want some help with. We love meeting people from other places around the world and sharing experiences. You are welcome to stay in our basic self contained rammed earth building which has a kitchen/lounge with fire place and bathroom and upstairs...

Come Spend Some Time in the Coromandel 🌿 We have beaches, we have forests, and we have a very casual relationship with clocks. We’re a couple in our 40s–50s looking for people to share our piece of wilderness with. We have two somewhat manic cats, but we ourselves are fairly chill. Over the years we’ve tried a wide range of hobbies and crafts, from home brewing and cheesemaking to glass blowing and hang gliding (some more current than others!). We enjoy meeting creative people and giving everything a go. We’ve travelled through Scandinavia and Asia and look forward to travelling again, but for now we travel vicariously through our visitors’ stories — and love helping you make the most of your adventures in New Zealand. Our property is 26 hectares of regenerating native bush, with a stream, waterfalls, swimming holes, glow worms, and plenty of space to explore. We’re close to Whitianga, Hot Water Beach, and Cathedral Cove, yet the home itself is tucked into the forest where you can ...

Hey there, thanks for checking us out. Welcome to Swansea, the most vibrant city in Wales! Conveniently located (less than 1 mile from train station, coach station, beach, and all city-wide entertainment), we welcome visitors from across the globe to sample Welsh/UK hospitality and cultural exchange. Renovating an old house, growing my own food and living a low impact lifestyle - that's what we're about. Why not come along and help us on that journey. Helpers with practical skills (DIY, building skills, painting & decorating, gardening...) particularly welcome, but training also provided if you are keen to learn. Dan is fluent French and Polish (and English!) with bit of Spanish, and Russian. I am currently learning Welsh. Why not practice your language skills here, or teach me your language! Please note, while I'm new to this Help-X platform, I've had over 50 volunteers over the years with another platform. I've also done Airbnb in the past.

Hello Helpxers, I generally host between 2 and 4 people to help me out on a beautiful farm I have just bought in South Wales. I have bought this place to run as a retreat centre but I am also wanting to slowly build a self sustaining community. At the moment I am specifically looking for people who have some practical, DIY/building skills; carpentry, tiling, plumbing (needed help finishing of a bathroom refurb), slate roof needs some tiles replaced or working with a chainsaw, strimmer, scythe - clearing brambles, woodland etc. I have a couple of rooms rented out for B&B may need help with change overs. There is also a campsite - this may need some tending to (mainly grass cutting). Also may need some help in the house mainly keeping it clean and cooking. I am also looking for some volunteers specifically for two yoga retreat I am running from 28th October - 2nd November and 25th - 30th November - I'd like you to arrive a round 3 days before hand and stay a few days afterwards and ...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. PLEASE NOTE WELL: we absolutely cannot host anyone with any pre-existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions), such as hay fever, any other allergies, sensitivities or intolerances. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our do...

HAPPY beginning of Autumn, 2026. In some ways this summer flew by so fast, in other ways the beginning of summer seems so long ago.. I have made a lot of progress on my boat this dummer. Still more to do before the rainy season kicks in towards the end of the year… Things have been moving along, slow but meticulously! It feels good to be making progress and I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel…on my sailboat. There are plenty of volunteer opportunities; at any skill level. Many projects take only 5-30 minutes to explain and easy for someone new to do the specific project well. Other projects require some basic skills and other projects necessitate someone that has a fair amount of specific experience. Anyone that volunteers on my sailboat can join me sailing once my boat is back in the water later this year or at some other point in the future! I anticipate my boat will be back in the water before the winter solstice. If this interest you, or you have quest...

We are based just outside Kaeo, 30 minutes north of Kerikeri. Our property is covered in 85% native bush and our main goal is to protect local wildlife and regenerate the native forest. We're seeking energetic, positive people to help with tasks like fencing, garden maintenance, lawn care, clearing gorse and tobacco weed, firewood, small building projects, house cleaning, and painting. We try to vary the jobs, and most tasks suit fit individuals who enjoy working outdoors. We enjoy a beer or wine after work but have a no-smoking, no-drugs policy. Your accommodation is a newly renovated guest room in our house with a queen-size bed (shared bathroom). We use tank water, mains power, and solar panels and we are working toward food and energy independence. We've been helpers ourselves on Helpx before, and speak English, German, and some Spanish. Sorry folks, we are now fully booked until the beginning of April 2027. There may be a cancellation, but these are very rare, but if you are in the area, reach out, we love to chat :) As well as the normal homesteading tasks, if you want to learn about wine making, bee keeping, jewellery making, or take some self defence lessons we could be a great match. Have a think, take a look at our reviews and if you are interested, drop us a line, *** Our beautiful countryside homestead (only 5 acres so not really a farm) is in the mountainous hills above the historic castle town of Caccamo, Sicily.

We have a combination of short-term and long-term volunteers and on average we have between 10 to 20 volunteers and resident...

Located 3 miles down an earth track road, we live off-grid with no running water or electricity. We balance self-sufficiency with select technologies—using solar panels to charge phones and Starlink parabol for free WiFi. We like paradox. Water is drawn from a well with buckets, but we also use a generator to pump water for our vegetable garden. OUR LIFE STYLE • Organic permaculture gardening • Outdoor showers and living • Cooking and eating mostly vegetarian meals from our garden • Practicing yoga and enjoying nature HELPER SKILLS NEEDED • Friendly, adaptable, and autonomous • Interest in ecology and sustainability • Ability to work both independently and in groups HELPER TASKS • Daily care of the 100sqm2 organic garden • Harvesting and preserving fruits and herbs (for jams, marmelades, herbe tea) • Construction and maintenance (wood...

Our rescue dog Lucy is friendly and loves walks and cuddles, and we have hens and a rooster. Whatever your skills and talents are, your suppo...

It is surrounded scraggy mountains and long valley walks. It is perfect for hiking or just relaxing in the sun with a good book. Within easy traveling distance for those interested in exploring this culturally rich island, is the seaside town of Cefalù or even the main capital city of Palermo, both are easily accessible by bus and train from the local town. We work daily on various homesteadin...
