Hi! I'm Tonje and I moved to my farm in 2020. And there's always a lot to do here. This small farm is in a very small town, by the fjord in Hardanger. Its a good place for hiking and culture. The area is quiet and scenic. The closest cities are Odda and Bergen. The bosses of the house are 4 dogs and 3 cats. Right now I don't have any farm animals of my own. But the neighbor's sheep live here too. I would have been very grateful for various help on my small farm. The work can be very varied. But I need help with maintenance of the outdoor area, wood working, chopping firewood and snow shoveling. I also have an airbnb, so cleaning, organize and tidying jobs are also tasks that I may need help with. Help are appreciated a lot. For your help, I can offer beautiful scenery, food and a private bedroom.

We are a small family with two kids (Boy - 20, Girl - 18...kids live in Perth) running a Merino farm just over the hills from Perth, surrounded by national park with plenty of native animals. Our nearest township is Wandering which has a great country pub (thats it!) and a burgeoning vineyard scene and our service town is Brookton - with a couple of pubs, supermarket, hardware, postoffice & pool. We head into town several times a week. Its a great lifestyle in a beautiful setting not far from the city. We are well travelled and broadminded and value exposure to new cultures and languages. We have several homes on the property (fully furnished) and have caretaker roles from time to time. Accomodation in exchange for light gardening duties and sheepdog sitting. Other odd jobs could include housework and light maintenance. We welcome the prospect of shared memories and new friendships. * Currently looking for a farm caretaker (ideally a couple but not a dealbreaker) from 10th July...

Kia Ora to you Please come stay so you can get to know some Aucklanders and our inner city fun and funky neighbourhood, I really appreciate having people to stay from Helpx to help with some of the jobs of maintaining an old wooden villa and garden. The garden is based on permaculture principles. My home is in Grey Lynn in a central part of Auckland. Close to cafes, bars, and the Auckland Zoo.The bus route is excellent. I also have bikes you can use to get around the city. You will be sharing our house with us and have your own room. I run Air BnB in the other rooms so there will be other guests in the house. Many are on the Working Holiday Visa looking to establish themselves and get sorted when they arrive or are leaving New Zealand. We like to cook and eat together when it suits everyone. Ours is a busy social house and you can be part of what is going on - if that suits you. The kitchen, laundry and bathroom are all shared with the other guests and of course you. The H...

I live 5 minutes from Rotorua on a farm with a large modern home and garden, an orchard, flowers for picking and a glasshouse. . The farm has a trout fishing stream, trees, woodlots and a newly planted 4 hectare native forest. I am also building a passive house on the property which will be completed in September. I'm a registered nurse, have traveled and worked overseas and hosted B&B guests. I love to bake and cook using fresh produce from the garden. Helpers have a gorgeous private upstairs room with comfy bed, clean linen, a bathroom and a downstairs TV room. It is a no smoking, no vaping, drugs free property. In exchange for accommodation and 3 meals a day helpers work 4 hours from 8am to 12 midday with a coffee break at 10.30am. Breakfast is muesli, fruit and toast at 7.30. Work includes help with meals, cleaning, gardening, hedge trimming, collecting firewood and weed control in a recently planted native forest. I prefer helpers to stay a minimum of one week. Come p...

Sorry folks, but we are now fully booked until the beginning of September 2026. There may be a cancellation, but these are very rare, but if you are in the area, reach out, we love to chat :) As well as the normal homesteading tasks, if you want to learn about wine making, bee keeping, self defense, jewellery making, or help Tony with his self defense book and video courses, we could be a great match. Have a think, take a look at our reviews and if you are interested, drop us a line, *** Our beautiful countryside homestead (only 5 acres so not really a farm) is in the mountainous hills above the historic castle town of Caccamo, Sicily. It is surrounded scraggy mountains and long valley walks. It is perfect for hiking or just relaxing in the sun with a good book. Within easy traveling distance for those interested in exploring this culturally rich island, is the seaside town of Cefalù or even the main capital city of Palermo, both are easily accessible by bus and train from the lo...

I can't see the world, but the world can come see me. First and foremost, I want to thank all the helpers who came from United Kingdom-England, France, Belgium, Italy, China, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. Welcome Helpers. We are a family of 5 living in the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia. Sue is the founder of this place. Her daughter Ruth moved to the Hollow later as well as her husband Tim and their 2 daughters. Our hollow is quite with no neighbors in sight. There are no city lights, and you can see every star on a clear night! Our homestead consists of Sue's workshop/cabin, Tim & Ruth's cabin and one very small guest cabin. Also, there is a private guestroom with private entrance on the second floor above the workshop/cabin combination. . We have a lot you can be involved in, knowledge to share, friendships to build, and opportunities for growth. Below are our routines and some projects. We would love to involve you! - Caring for our honey bees, chickens, cats...

Hello! As I have little children, I’m only interested in Solo female travellers only. We are a family of four; a 7 year old boy and 2 year old boy, partner is working and I’m at home alone with the children with too much to keep up with. I currently homeschool my bigger boy using an eclectic approach and nature based learning. We live in a beautiful location close to Rockingham Foreshore. Nearby is Penguin Island in Shoalwater, opportunities for kayaking, kite surfing, fishing and beach swims, close to Point Peron Marine Park for snorkelling with fish, dolphins and sea lions, 30 minutes drive to Mandurah Foreshore and it’s attractions including discovering the amazing Giant Sculptures hidden in nature spots plus there are lots of restaurants in both Rockingham and Mandurah. We are 1.3km to the pristine Warnbro beach, 2.1km to Warnbro Shopping Centre, 1.2km to the gym and swimming pools and there are bus stops on Warnbro Sound Avenue plus Warnbro train station. I am looking f...

My husband Matthias and I, Johanna, came from Germany as backpackers in the 1980s. We met here in NZ, but our home language is German. We are a family with eight children, who we home-educated throughout their school years. Three of them are now married, and we have five grandchildren. Five of our now grown-up children are living at home - either still or again - our oldest son with his wife and 4 boys is living in our cottage, and another son with his wife and baby has moved into a smaller house on our property. A friend lives in our housetruck. So life is happening to the full! Sadly, my husband passed away in January 2024 after a short time of intense illness. We miss him much! Our lifestyle block is home to a gaggle of geese, a flock of domestic ducks, around 40 chickens, some sheep and sometimes a few young male goats, - and of course many wild birds, rabbits and the tiny creatures of fields, woods and duck-pond. An old apple, apricot and peach orchard and a young walnut grove ar...

My wife and I own and operate a traditional bed-and-breakfast, and we are also small-scale farmers. Our property is 5 acres (2 hectares), and we grow a variety of fruits on our 100% organic farm. Starting October 1st, we will be looking for help on our farm with pruning, trimming, weeding, mowing, and weed-whacking. There is also light cleaning outside our home (raking leaves, rinsing snorkel equipment, sweeping, etc.). We also appreciate help with indoor cleaning projects. If you are handy and can build and repair things, that is a super plus and moves you to the front of the line 😊. We prefer couples, but we will consider a single person if they are industrious and hard-working. Summer is the peak growing season; it seems that every weed and blade of grass grows exponentially, so we are looking for helpers who will help us maintain our land. An absolute requirement is that I need help weed-whacking the farm because I can't do it all by myself; approximately 4 - 5 hours per week...

Hello, I’m David! I have sold my coffee shop after 45 years in the hospitality trade, where travelling workers would once work, however I STILL offer helpers the same excellent own room lodging as homestay & great food in exchange for a little light work and some social contact. I live close the train station and bus stop and am a 30 min trip by train to Melbourne City. There is a vehicle to drive locally if are appropriately licensed. You are welcome to use it. I go to the outback in western New South Wales about 3 times a year for the purpose of experiencing the beautiful "timeless land" of Australia and to legally hunt feral animals which endanger our wildlife. I often take workers to the outback so they can have a taste of the real Australia and I can assure that none of the numerous helpers/woofers I have taken over a many year period did not thoroughly enjoy it. . However the choice is theirs whether they accompany myself or whether they stay and "mind the house" I also oft...

Kia ora, travellers! Haere mai - welcome to my whare (home) in beautiful Honeymoon Valley, surrounded by native rainforest, birds and insects. We built this eco-earth house using local clay from right under our feet. This land used to be just grass, but after 30 years of caring for this whenua, it now has mature trees, orchards, and organic gardens. Life here is peaceful and quiet, perfect for enjoying nature I am part of the local landcare group, helping protect our native forest, birds, lizards, and insects. We trap predators and remove invasive weeds. You could help with organic/permaculture gardening: vegetables, flowers, herbs, fruit trees, chickens, mowing, brush-cutting, compost-making, maintenance and fixing things (basic carpentry, painting), sewing, cleaning, chopping firewood. I bake bread. I make apple cider vinegar, bottle fruit, jam, chutney, sauerkraut, and collect seeds. The current to-do list includes building a structure in front of two doors to keep the rain out, mo...

If you would like a homely, wondrous Blue Mountains experience, nestled in nature, without being surrounded by tourists, you’re welcome to stay with us. You will relax and unwind here, sit in front of the fire in the evenings, drink tea, go on bushwalks, watch the alpacas, and share stories. Then wake to amazing sunrises! Especially quiet for those that have just come from a Vipassana meditation retreat. If you're a rock climber, you can walk to crags at Shipley and Centennial Glen. We have two alpacas, some chickens, and two indoor cats. We live in a new house on a two acres, next to the Blue Mountains National Park. Amazing bushwalks begin at our home. Walk to Govetts Leap waterfall, Evans Lookout, the Grand Canyon, and Blue Gum Forest. We need ENERGETIC help in the yard, mainly splitting firewood. There are lots of small jobs, all requiring good strong MUSCLES. We also need help with BUSH REGENERATION because there are weeds that have invaded the rare and endangered hanging s...

Hello! We live on a beautiful two and a half acre bush block, surrounded by tall trees and we are an easy 1km walk to lovely swimming beaches on the South Coast of NSW. We need help with our property maintenance - eg. weeding, raking, mowing, feeding the chooks, collecting the eggs, compost making etc If outdoor work is not your thing, or if it is raining and the weather not great, there are inside tasks I need a hand with like cleaning windows, general housework plus if you are a keen cook you are most welcome to take a turn! In the ten years we have been here, we have worked hard to establish a caged vege garden, some fruit trees, plus we breed chickens as egg layers. We have Australorps (black and blue) Cream Legbars, Olive Eggers, plus a mixture of other varities. Our local town of Moruya, has a fabulous, award winning Farmers Market which operates every Tuesday afternoon. There is also a very friendly community running group each Wednesday afternoon, with the choice of 2...

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. We are a very outdoorsy family and have a great property with walking trails, a pool, playground, trampoline, greenhouse & garden. Our kids are very active, but sociable and enjoy meeting new faces. We're excited to expose them to some different cultures and faces! I participated as a Helper in the HelpX program years ago while I was travelling NZ & Aus. I had amazing experiences and am excited to participate as a Host this time. We also have an 8 year old dog, named Cruz, who is also very active, loves walks & playing fetch. We live on a 5 acre hobby farm in the beautiful Huon Valley, Southern Tasmania. Our family consists of three young adult children (two live at home), two horses, many chickens, ducks, geese, goats and two gorgeous dogs. We grow organic vegetables and breed heritage chickens in an attempt to be more sustainable. Jobs involve general gardening, helping with the animals and housekeeping. If you would like a Tassie small farm experience message us with some details of the work you have previously done. We have separate accommodation, with a bathroom. All our HelpXers have loved working and living with us and I hope you will too (please remember Tassie is a cold place in winter). There are many areas of natural beauty in Southern Tasmania which are all fairly close to us. For example, the Hartz mountains, Hastings Caves and the Tahune Airwalk. We live close to a sleepy village called Cygnet and Hobart is only a 40min drive away. (Unfortunately we can't approve 2nd year visas)

Welcome! Our family owned and operated certified organic livestock farm in North Central British Columbia is excited to have you stay and become a part of everything we have going on. We’ve been operating since 2008, primarily raising Berkshire pigs, Dexter cattle, Katahdin sheep, laying hens, broiler chickens and of course bronze breasted turkeys for thanksgiving and Christmas. On top of that, we’re home to two Labrador retrievers (Ned and Nelly), 3 outdoor cats, 2 guard alpacas and a family of Muscovy ducks. In other words, you will never find yourself not in the company of animals! Aside from livestock, we have recently built a small farm store / café that cooks the meat raised on the farm. We also take pride in creating all recipes from scratch, from the sauces to the buns of the burgers. Currently only operating during the summer months, 3 days per week. It’s been a lot of work, but a great way to get more people out to the farm, eating good food and connecting with the community...

Hi everyone my name is David, and I live at in Mount Warning Caldera in Northern NSW. The closest town is Murwillumbah, which is approx a 30 min drive away. I designed and built my property back in the early 80’s. There are 9 other properties out here, but we all have a lot of space as we are on 450 acres of land. The house sits on a ridge, with views of the Springbrook Plateau, and is surrounded by lush rainforest. It is an area of high bio-diversity with rainforest, waterfalls, rivers & many different types of wildlife, which is all easily accessible. You may encounter wallabies, lizards, snakes and numerous bird life I have done a lot of traveling over the years, am passionate about music and love to have a jam with my friends, and practice Tai-Chi daily. I enjoy good food, and my diet is mainly vegetarian, and i have my own veggie patch. I am looking for help with gardening, planting trees, weeding, mulching, making compost, some help with cleaning would be great too. Th...

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . We are looking for up to 2 people to help feed cattle and sheep, and a handyman that would like to do some building work. We have approximately 2000 hectares of undulating country, situated in the middle of New South Wales. We run sheep, cattle, and do some farming. We run approximately 1500 sheep, which need lamb marking and shearing. With the cattle we have mustering and yard work. We also have daily feeding of calves and lambs. The bee hives need some attention, eg extracting honey, moving boxes around, cleaning area. We also have chickens and turkeys, which need attention daily and working dogs to be cared for. With fencing and building we also need help. We have composting, vegetable garden and fruit trees. When it rains we need help with our grain farming. We are a group of friends who decided three years ago to restore a beautiful old village/motel in Jindabyne. We are looking for like minded individuals who are passionate about restoration/building and maintenance, love nature and have a good nature and willing to share a laugh over some good food. We have hosted people from all around the world, including all over Europe, Asia, North and South America. The motel is a 5-minute drive from local amenities such as supermarkets, shops, pubs, and a skate park. From June to September there are plenty of winter activities including skiing, tobogganing, and snowboarding at nearby ski resorts, just 30 minutes away. In summer, there are plenty of hikes, mountain biking, fishing, as well as the beach at Jindabyne Lake, Blue Lake and we are 30 minutes from the tallest mountain in Australia- Mount Koscioscko. Yarrangobilly Caves and nearby thermal pools are about one hour away. Our beautiful site features a serene river, where you can go...

My husband and I own & operate a small Christmas Tree Farm on our rural property, in addition to raising our two young children (ages 4 & 2). Who / what we're seeking: - A female helper to join us for week long stays throughout the summer months (June till September, 2026). - Help with gardening (weeding, watering, pruning, lawn care, etc); childcare (helping with the kids while I am home puttering with other tasks); basic house cleaning & upkeep; kitchen meal ...

Hello from the beautiful Dandenong I am a self-employed ARTIST in a very colourful home. I have 1 dog, 3 goats and 2 lovely human housemates. EXPECTATIONS Enthusiastic, trustworthy English-speaking helpers who enjoy a laugh, are practical and can work INDEPENDENTLY. There are several varied DIY projects on the go. Most of the work is outside, you need to be physically fit and prepared for manual labour. I look forward to hearing from travellers who can help with limited instructions, unsupervised and have a passion for gardening, fence repair, building and DIY projects. Do you know how to use a drill, a drop saw, a sander and an angle grinder? Garden maintenance duties include but not limited to: use a whipper snipper to tidy garden edges; rake leaves; hand weed, digging, collecting fallen branches and sticks off the ground. Gather fire wood, cut and stack. Help burn garden waste. Plant new or potted plants, spread mulch on garden beds. Helping around the house and other odd jobs t...

Please check our availability first and read all that we have written :) Well-established Permaculture property with orchard, garden and animal systems located ten minutes from Noosa and seven minutes from (famous) Eumundi Markets. (But public transport VERY poor in this area - see note below) so your own car is a big plus! Dave is a past Permaculture Teacher and therefore only interested in working with people keen to increase their knowledge of Permaculture systems/Self sufficiency. We are a laid-back but hard working couple who enjoy the "good life" in all its simplicity. We practice regenerative agriculture (using our chickens) and focus on cover crops as well as adding micro-organisms to our soil. We are looking for a single person or happy couple, with practical skills and a focus on wanting to grow their own food/becoming self-sufficient, to assist with gardening, recycling nutrients by pruning then chipping by Dave and spreading mulch, DIY tasks, brushcutting and improvemen...

Kia Ora. I run an Angora goat farm just outside Oxford in North Canterbury. I have 180 very cute goats which I shear for fibre twice per year. I also farm sheep and cattle. I farm in a sustainable way and have been trialling some regenerative agricultural practices. I am looking for helpers from from early July 2026 Jobs include farm work, gardening, housekeeping, servicing and cleaning my AirBnB and learning about our farming systems. You would have your own room and receive all your food in return for 4-5 hours work per day. Those are the typical Helpx conditions. There are usually other Helpxers at the farm and we work, eat and live as a family , sharing housework and cooking tasks. I look forward to welcoming you to the farm!
