It’s a campus that focuses on peace building education. Our aim is to creatively and sensitively explore the resistances to peacebuilding - knowing that such resistance can resource transformation. Updated Nov 2025 - Brisbane area - I haven't been around for a while, so different property - creek and nature all around - but, if you are scared of the realities of Oz bush, like spiders, it's not for you! You need to have your own camper, or be ok to be in a tent - there is room to have a van or similar parked in the driveway or down near the creek I only expect maximum 3 hrs per day as a swap; nothing exciting - just garden & house spring cleaning - but we do have a creek to relax in - you will see I have some good reviews, so most of my helpx folks have a great time - Happy for helpers to do 2 days in one, then have 1 full day off to go to the city or explore the area. We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. This school was established in 1975 and is a family run School. We are based in Uttaradit/Thailand and have about 600 pupils. The school teaches children from Kindergarten (3-5 years old) to Secondary School (15 years old). We need Volunteers who would like to teach basic English or basic Chinese. Your work is mainly with the youngest children, using flash cards, games, songs and puzzles. We play to learn! Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer !
