Things have changed alot in the last few years as we sold our cattle herd in 2018, so I don't spend my life around cattle 24/7 like I did for 30 years. My husband retired from his Drilling job up north for 46 years, after 3 heart attacks, a shoulder repair and a major hip replacement, and a knee surgery this past December. We grow organic table grapes, a few fruit trees, chickens and a few pigs. This is a real farm experience, mostly working in the vineyard, with some fun too. There is biking to town, swimming in the ocean or our lake, fishing, basketball, volleyball, hiking, nature walks, beach strolling and look for fossils at Blue Beach, camp fires , rope swing in our little lake, take in the fantastic views, sunsets, star gazing, internet, phone and go to nearby towns such as Wolfville and Hantsport as well as the rest of the Annapolis Valley with the local bus. The accommodations and kitchen are separate for helpers cooking with an abundance of food. This is a more independent farm stay. Hope you can make it here.

This is an old country house in need of a handy man to make some small renovating jobs. Help in the house, maintenance 4 hours a day, 5 days a week, flexible on the time table. There are nice mountain tracks to walk. The house is at 14km from Gandia and at 18km from the beach. In exchange for your help I would give accommodation and meals. Lovely 3 bedroom home in quiet suburb in Margaret River in the south west of the State. Margaret River is a 3 hour drive south from Perth. I am a 60 year old teacher, I speak English, Italian, German and some French. I am looking for someone in August / September for a week to give my new puppy (1 year) some company while I am at work, help with spring cleaning the house and help with establishing the gardens.

Charles and his daughter, 18 year old Alexandra (Lexi). An English family live on an olive farm on the edge of the Ionian Sea in the Western Peloponnese, 20km west of Ancient Olympia. We have 400 olive trees, which produce approximately 2 tons of olive oil annually. We also produce a large amount of our own food from an extensive vegetable garden. Animals may include chickens, turkeys, sheep, pigs, 4 dogs and many cats. We are looking for help with the olive harvest, from roughly mid-November through until Christmas. After Christmas is the time for general maintenance, cleaning land, rebuilding terraces etc. In return for your exertions, we hope to offer you a unique insight into the lifestyle of rural Greece, the traditional methods of olive husbandry, and especially the food, wine and culture of the Peloponnese. We are sorry to say that we would prefer that you were not vegan or vegetarian (during the olive harvest it is hard to cater for different diets).

We are in Dégagnac, between Cahors (capital town of the Lot) and Sarlat in the Dordogne and have 5 gîtes (small houses for rent) and we do chambre d`hôtes (B&B) and table d`hôtes (dinner); we have a swimming pool and a tennis court, a vegetable garden, garden with fruit trees, a walnut grove, meadows and forest, all of which have to be maintained. Depending on the season, we are looking for helpers with one or more of the following skills: 1. gardening (pruning, digging, tidying up etc.) as well as wood clearing and logging; 2. affinity with cooking and making domain products (e.g. confitures, chutneys) from the fruit and walnuts we have; 3. preparing the gîtes for new guests; 4. From 2013 to 2020 we lived full time in Thailand, immersed in a large international expat community and traveling extensively across Asia. After covid we joined the global worldschooling community, living first in Spain and then in Bansko, Bulgaria. We later returned to Thailand, welcoming worldschooling families and traveling friends into our home to guide them and introduce them to Asian culture as they planned their journeys around Asia.
