We are a family that has been involved with exchange helpers since 2016. We have had a great experience hosting travelers. We have been travelers and hostel-staying people for many years, and while we cannot travel ourselves now (due to our jobs), we like sharing stories with others. We Speak English, American Sign Language, and Some Spanish. All of our past helpers were specifically interested in living and learning ASL. One of us is Deaf, and the other is an ASL interpreter. We have an organic kitchen and can provide one meal a day. If you cook, free meals. If you cook for me, it has to be organic (I have allergies) We have one nice bedroom, and a shared bathroom. It's a nice sunny house We are flexible on work hours but like 3-4 a day committed to our project, 5 days a week. We need help with yard projects and painting. Gardening, planting weeding, and watering. Handyman skills are highly desirable. We like to offer one day off on the weekend and one during the week. This way ...

Good morning;. I went on the Wagon Train in Montana like I have since 1983. We had a bad wreck, I got hurt. My ribs are healed now. My left leg still breaks open. It was a very nasty cut. Please come help me. I am now able to ride the ride on mower and get mowing done. The helper who had been here just over 3 years [yes years],moved . He works in town full time, stayed here for free and helped with chores. I really need the help. I do need someone for the winter months for sure. I have had 3 really great helpers already this year and 1 vanishing act. Too funny. Not as much to do as most years. Painting will have to get done this year. That is outside on the little buildings. 2 barn doors need repairs. Please respond when I send an invitation. I wait and wait and so many do not reply. Thank you to those who do. Due to my health, i have gotten behind.. I hope to see many more new friends in 2026. If you have not been to Saskatchewan, You are missing sheer beauty and so many things to s...

⭐️ About our project⭐️ We are a small community school located in Tnol Trong Village, just 13km away from Siem Reap, Cambodia. The school is a registered non-profit NGO, founded in February 2013 by my lovely family. Cambodia is seeing a strong growth in the tourism industry, which will provide an increasing number of employment opportunities in the future, especially for the children around the Siem Reap area and for a career in tourism, English is essential. That’s why our school has one clear goal: to give children from disadvantaged backgrounds free access to English and Chinese education, helping them gain a real chance to access future job opportunities. Our school currently offers FREE English lessons to nearly 180 children from the Bakong community. Many of the local families struggle with basic needs like food, water and health related costs, let alone getting the kids to attend class, afford mandatory school fees and uniforms. Education is often their only real chance to b...

I am a principal of a primary school. We have so far 35 foster kids and we would love to have volunteers in our small organisation and at our school. We welcome visitors here and if you want, we can pick you from the airport Entebbe and you can just pay the fuel or when you are already in Uganda and you want to come to Masaka, we can pick you from the bus park in Masaka for free. So whoever is ready to come is welcome. Due to the inflation and rise of prices of things in Uganda, we will always charge 15 dollars per night, this includes accommodation, local meals, wishing clothes, Water bills, Electricity bills and other simple things that you need help like taking you to town and move around to the place like Lake Nabugabo and for internet use at home.

Hello, I am looking for some help with gardening and house maintenance, preferably someone with a bit of gardening know-how to help control (in a wild way) a medium size garden Also help with dog walking and possibly pet sitting for short periods. Bit of strimming and mowing, and some weeding. Renovation of window frames and painting when weather allows. Trying to grow veg as much as possible, but not easy up here.(lots of rabbits and deer) Indoors --- well could do with a bit of organizing! Also some help with the bigger cleaning jobs, like the vast windows! I am living in the middle of Dartmoor National Park which is a great place for walking and scenery, and one of the last remaining wilderness areas in England. Person with organisational skills and sense of humour and who loves the great outdoors and the quiet would be ideal. One lovely dog and cat in the house, and the occasional guest. Please note, due to financial constraints I cannot accommodate long term helpers

Hi, We are Rob from England and Maria from Portugal, we live here in an off grid house on 2000 sq metres of land. We have our house, then there is a what we call a choza built with mud, canes and wood and another basic but confortable accommodation (toilet/shower nearby) that we are offering to our helper/s. The ambience is peaceful and quiet in a neigbourhood with approximately 70 other houses that have Spanish and other of various nationalities. We have developed the houses and land ourselves over 15 years or so with the challenge of making it as auto sustainable as possible, that being planting many trees to provide shade, our own power supply, rain harvesting, growing our own vegetables etc. We are located equidistant between Conil de la Frontera and Chiclana de la Frontera, there is a bus service nearby that runs to Chiclana 4 times a day so we are not completely cut off. In the autumn /winter we have a lot of sunny warm days but can be cold in the evening, there are means of hea...

Hello, We are looking for 1–2 people with practical skills who would like to help us with small repair and maintenance projects. The workplace is in Nyksund, Vesterålen, north of the Lofoten Islands. The work includes painting, small renovations, simple carpentry, redecorating, and all the other little jobs that come up. We have several old buildings that always need a bit of care and attention. When the weather is good, there is outdoor painting to do. On rainy days, there is plenty of indoor work such as adjusting doors, moving furniture, small concrete jobs, laying PVC flooring, and similar tasks. If you enjoy working with your hands, none of these jobs are particularly difficult. Even if you haven't done some of them before, we'll show you what to do. If you're interested, just get in touch! **The offer:** - 2 hours a day for accommodation only - 25 hours a week for full board and lodging If this sounds like something for you, we’d love to hear from you!

We are a cultural and arts community that is working towards being self-sustained. The community is situated in the mountains of Monchique, Portugal surrounded by nature. Our community provides an alternative way of living with permaculture gardens, farm animals, sustainability projects, and arts and cultural workshops. It is a great place to come to meet other like-minded people if you are passionate about sustainability and alternative living. We hold community meetings throughout the week alongside activities and workshops, such as quiz nights, dance nights and yoga classes. If you have something you are passionate about and want to share with others, we would love for you to run a workshop. One of the best things here is the variety of tasks you can do as a volunteer, which gives you the opportunity to learn new skills and discover what you enjoy doing most. We have a combination of short-term and long-term volunteers and on average we have between 10 to 20 volunteers and resident...

Hello, I’m David! I have sold my coffee shop after 45 years in the hospitality trade, where travelling workers would once work, however I STILL offer helpers the same excellent own room lodging as homestay & great food in exchange for a little light work and some social contact. I live close the train station and bus stop and am a 30 min trip by train to Melbourne City. There is a vehicle to drive locally if are appropriately licensed. You are welcome to use it. I go to the outback in western New South Wales about 3 times a year for the purpose of experiencing the beautiful "timeless land" of Australia and to legally hunt feral animals which endanger our wildlife. I often take workers to the outback so they can have a taste of the real Australia and I can assure that none of the numerous helpers/woofers I have taken over a many year period did not thoroughly enjoy it. . However the choice is theirs whether they accompany myself or whether they stay and "mind the house" I also oft...

🌿 Come help on our farm! We need friendly volunteers to join us with cooking, cleaning, gardening, and everyday tasks — no experience needed, just a good attitude and willingness to muck in.We are looking for helpers between the ages of 18 to 32. We are a small community of friends working towards a better life in a beautiful part of rural Devon, in the Tamar River Valley Estuary where you will make friends for life. In exchange for your friendship while you are staying here we will endeavour to teach you new skills that will carry you through life. A small farm in a beautiful location! Our farm and home probably date back to pre 1660's, with many additions since. It has been left to go wild for the last 40 years. The river has otters, seals, beavers, salmon, sea trout, and sea bass. With buzzards and owls overhead. There are deer in the surrounding woodland. The aim for our farm is to give the land back to nature and at the same time create an organic food source that we can freely ...

Summer discription: besides our work on the farm we organise international workcamps, long-term stays, and voluntary work in different companies as printery, carpentry, farming, nursery If you like to learn milking cows or driving an old tractor, cutting hedges, shear sheep, build fences or throw honey, test your strength in the muck or while digging the garden - you should join us. If you find dung and greens not so interesting, we understand :-) We are a living and working community with different workshops and bio-dynamic farming in Germany, Baden-Wuerttemberg. We are doing carpentry, printing, video production, publishing and distribution - it is always possible to help. Depending what you want to learn, you can help. We have four more than less old houses here in the village, so we also have to do a lot of construction work. The farming we do is not a business for us to earn money. We do it because we think farming is an important part in a holistic way of life. We have sheep, ...

Help needed from 24th August onwards. We are a married couple. We have been working at improving the old farmhouse we live in for the past twenty years. We are in our late forties but are young at heart:) We have two dogs and a cat. We work outside the home. Ideally you are open minded, flexible, positive even when it's raining or tasks are challenging. You are independent regarding your free time. You are focused on your work and not distracted by technology and physically able. You demonstrate care for the environment by having short showers , recycling properly, using environmentally friendly products for washing (e.g.by using soap , no sls) and by turning off lights when they are not necessary. You like big dogs. You will have your own spare bedroom with wifi access and will share the bathroom with us. There is a couch in our open plan kitchen where you can relax in the evening. Maybe you would like to give yoga or meditation a try with Anne-Marie who is a qualified yoga an...

During August onward we would particularly love to host one or 2 people to help out around the garden, plant nursery and farm/orchard....Gardening, carpentry, welding or physical labour skills are particularly helpful... We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. We breed and raise dwarf goats and chickens and ducks. We are a 162 acre farm, next to the Puketi Forest near Kerikeri. We have hills, streams & ponds and are centrally located for sight seeing. Your own suite with toilet and shower, kitchenette with fridge, microwave and kettle etc. 25 mins to Kerikeri, Bay of Islands. We ask for 5 hours work a day for accommodation and food. We have good and plentiful food here, as I am a chef! Chores focus on the farm, the land, goats, projects, weeding and fence clearing. Also can include planting, landscaping and painting and work on my new pottery studio build-out, and many more, depending on your skills. Also, we have projects to get stuck into, that vary on the time of year. We can collect you from the bus stop or Kerikeri Airport. We usually have other young helpers also.. ** Note: We do Farm Stay also, that is like Air BNB for people who want to get out of the town and experience a NZ farm lifestyle. Thanks Julia

I am a single parent with 2 grown adults and a young lady in university. I run a small party decorating business and have a small general home and hardware store. The wedding business is very interesting and demanding, hence why I'm looking for help at home. Due to other duties that needs to be done in the shop For now, we are looking for someone to help keep garden clean and tidy, cut shrubs and hedges and some general domestics around the house The kind of person i am looking for must be very neat and clean as well as very reliable and respectful. Someone who is not lazy and is very good at keeping their environment tidy and happy to do some cooking, cleaning, ironing and gardening. Personal hygiene is of utmost importance in our home and must be adhered to. If you want to experience venue décors for occasions (then you are free to come to venues with me, but not mandatory) i am very flexible with time as some days can be quiet, during this time, you can tour the local areas of i...

We are located in the heart of Berlin, one of Europe's most exciting and diverse cities. With its vibrant cultural scene, world-class museums, historic landmarks, countless cafés, parks, and excellent public transport, Berlin is the perfect place to experience urban life while enjoying a welcoming home environment. I would kindly ask you to help with painting, fencing, gardening, sweeping leaves, cleaning and maintaining the house, as well as feeding and caring for the animals. There is plenty of space to relax and enjoy your free time. You will have your own private room, and I will provide breakfast and one warm meal each day. If you enjoy cooking in a holistic and nutritious way, you are more than welcome to do so. I am always happy to share my knowledge about healthy food and learn from others as well. I am not just looking for someone to help with daily tasks—I would like to offer a meaningful cultural exchange and create a positive experience together. If you are interested in me...

I have a house with a 0.25ha garden that is part of a larger community . We are about 10 mins drive, or an easy hitch, from Byron Bay (and all its tourist attractions); Brunswick or Mullumbimby and 2 mins from the beach. I`m always glad of help with my 1/4 ha - projects like building the vegie garden; trimming back the ever enroaching bush, or projects around the house. The arrangement is 2 hours in exchange for accommodation (14 hours a week), looking after your own food but sharing our kitchen. Gondwana, the larger community that Lotus Ponds is part of, is about 50 people with a community house and hall with weekly community dinner and meditations, yoga, table tennis & pool tables with levels of activity that depend on who is here. The people living here change more often than I update this ! But typically are inspired by some combination of Dance (5Rhythms, Open-Floor, Contact); Permaculture; Surfing; Osho; Personal Growth; Cooking; Music and Nature; in the rest of Gondwana ...

I would be very happy to welcome volunteer teachers who are willing to help at my school for two or three months, or even for a full semester. *I want the volunteers who work at my school to not feel like they are working. Instead, I want them to feel that they are enjoying themselves and having a holiday while staying with us. Their room is fully equipped with air conditioning, hot showers, and a spacious private room that is separate from the main house, so they can feel comfortable and relaxed during their stay.* My name is Edison I have a wife, her name is Nofi. I also have two children, Ochta (32 years old) and Fadlil (12 years old). Ochta can speak English. I run a private English school for children between the ages of 7 and 19 in the small town of Batusangkar, West Sumatra. My goal as the principal of the school is to provide youth from my region with the English skills required to communicate better in the modern world, and therefore provide them with better opportunities ...

Come to the eastern part of Germany and join our life. Please read our profile in detail first before you send us a message. We are a family of 3: Kerstin (58), Carsten (58) and Christopher (31). We live in a village on an estate that was a farm in the past. The village is situated 60 km from Dresden, 100 km from Leipzig and 170 km from Berlin in a national park. We have cats that live with us, too. We invite you into our home and accept you as part of our family. We do our best to make you feel at home and appreciate any additional assistance. If you join us it will be fun, promise. Our place is for genuine travellers who want to learn more about Germany and experience staying with an East German family. It is not for those looking just for food and accommodation. Important: We often share meals together, depending on our schedules. This is not a full-board arrangement, so volunteers should be able to plan and provide their own food too. Much help is needed in and around the h...

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON. Need help with a garden clean up, at the moment. You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one rough headed(inside and out 🤣,) skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town.

I live in an old farm and farmhouse in Normandy. I have converted a cottage into a holiday cottage with 4 bedrooms (all en suite) and one barn into another. I also had a Yurt (now gone but the pictures are still there !!) and a campsite. With the guest-accommodation, farm and further buildings to be converted, I could always do with an extra pair of hands. Skills can range from building, painting, cleaning, farming and general maintenance. Someone with a sense of humour would be great. I enjoy music so you may find all sorts playing, from classical to Genesis, Roxy Music to London Grammar! Current projects (weather dependent) include: 1. tidying toolshed 2. move garden shed I offer accommodation and meals included in return for help normally 5 days a week. After a week I'm happy to give a day tour of the battlefields ... Phone number (what's app) available on request. Easy to find and get to .. .By train leave Paris at the Gare de St Lazare for Cherbourg. Get off at Lison st...

We need help with weeding, tending to our chickens, mowing the lawns, weeding, vegetable planting, weed-eating, and cleaning in exchange for comfortable board at beautiful Piha, a surf beach. We have 11 chickens, fruit trees, and a vege garden. You will have a lovely room with an amazing view and ensuite, you can use our spa and of course we provide meals, internet etc. We like to share the cooking - we cook one night, you cook the next etc... We live on the ridge above Piha, about 20 minutes walk to the beach, on the Hillary walking trail amongst native bush. Our interests are music, alternative spiritual (reincarnation etc), and cultural (languages, travel etc). Vegetarian and gluten-free no problem. Hosts are a retired university lecturer and a dictionary writer! Only couples please, as the room has just one double bed and we have jobs best suited to both men and women. It is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay, 2 hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around. There is a mountain on my ...
