A famous shrine is near our house. Thousands of people gather there, learn local customs and traditions, we live in a village so we have a lot of traditions and different ways to cook. our wedding and funeral customs and rituals are also worth studying. visiting historical places can help you to learn our history which is more than 2500 years old. We like a lady or a female student, a room, WIFI, and food are provided free. All are welcome but students and educated persons are preferred. We welcome you as a friend and a family member not as a helper. we like this experience, spending time with a foreigner discussing our cultures. we have experienced living with foreigners as a few guests have visited us. Come and get a real taste of Nu Zelan! Home brew, home made breads and fresh fish.. Bush crash up the stream, swim at the beach across the road, come fishing with me on the kayaks. Take the bikes, pedal 2km to Waiomu; then tramp/jog to some beautiful Kauri (1/2 to 3/4hr). Do an overnighter at The Pinnacles Hut up the Kauranga Valley if yr into vast iconic views and like tramping (you need to book). If you have wheels you can do great day trips around the Peninsula. And if yr more chill, Thames has some great op-shops. Debs & I are happy boomers on the endless holiday ! Loving every second left. However, we seriously need help with the massive task of 296: gardens to create & jungle to clear ! We are keen to host people who want to help, who are comfortable speaking English (or trying) and value simple routines and shared respect. When Debs & I started hosting in 2025 we moved to the sleepout making it possible to host helpers hopefully from different cultures in the house. Th...

I have a house with a 0.25ha garden that is part of a larger community . We are about 10 mins drive, or an easy hitch, from Byron Bay (and all its tourist attractions); Brunswick or Mullumbimby and 2 mins from the beach. I`m always glad of help with my 1/4 ha - projects like building the vegie garden; trimming back the ever enroaching bush, or projects around the house. The arrangement is 2 hours in exchange for accommodation (14 hours a week), looking after your own food but sharing our kitchen. Gondwana, the larger community that Lotus Ponds is part of, is about 50 people with a community house and hall with weekly community dinner and meditations, yoga, table tennis & pool tables with levels of activity that depend on who is here. The people living here change more often than I update this ! But typically are inspired by some combination of Dance (5Rhythms, Open-Floor, Contact); Permaculture; Surfing; Osho; Personal Growth; Cooking; Music and Nature; in the rest of Gondwana ...

Lovely Lifestyle property located in Pukekohe East with quick access to the motorway to Auckland City and a 5 minute drive to Pukekohe. All meals provided. Wifi. Lovely Swimming pool and bbq area. A Mazda Demio (small car) is available for our helpx to use for a small cost. Beaches and the Waikato River close by. 4 hours work per day and this can be flexible if needed. Work consists of farm maintenance, looking after horses, gardening, weed eating, planting and looking after our animals. We prefer couples if possible. A reasonable level of English is required as our HelpX often have to work independently and need to understand instructions in English. Our HelpX visitors have had great fun helping out on our small farm, sharing delicious dinners and playing Catan and mountain biking when the weather is good! We love meeting new people and listening to everyone's adventures.

We started our Vineyard back in 2004, it is located in a Beautiful, Quiet, Valley along the bluffs of the Mississippi River. We have five children that have now grown and moved out on there own. I just retired from a career of Process Instrument Work at the local power plant. I could use some help with the Vineyard and Gardens, but also enjoy fishing and boating on the river in the evenings and of course days off. We would be willing to supply your own bedroom ,great meals and WIFI. We also have two male Collies that love to get brushed and played with. The ideal person would have to be able to work on there own or in a small group, after some training of course to get you up to your comfort level, so as you basically understand what the goals might be for the time of year and tasks at hand, a five hour day ,if the weather permits, is what we usually work . There might be a few longer days, but I`m sure that having time off to check out the area won`t be any problem. If you would care...

Do you love nature? what about off grid living? How about great food and great company? How about learning some new skills? We need your help with our dream. We have built an earthship (with lots of help already) and want to share in this type of building design. We are located in a gorgeous mountain/ bush setting, totally off grid. We make electricity from solar, and our water comes from a mountain spring. The tasks we do are different everyday as we hope to teach many things to our fellow travellers. Some jobs include; cob making, bottle brick making, rendering, gardening, landscaping, working on a hugle wall (a living wall), harvesting and much more. No experience necessary, just your creative loving hands. Though, if you are skilled in carpentry, construction and earth dwellings then we could use your expertise. Such is the life on a property in the bush. You can sleep in a hut and camping space is also available. We are totally on solar and there is wifi available for 1hour per da...

It is our mission to provide visitors from all over the world with an authentic experience of the unique atmosphere and culture of our home in Canadaโs far North. As a well-established tourism company, we are diversifying our impacts and create a more resilient business. Doing this is not only fulfilling our long-term mission of developing a self-sustaining Arctic Eco-Village, but also investigating innovative solutions to major obstacles facing communities in the North: food and housing insecurity, decolonizing our economy, capacity development and cultural revitalization. Sustainable farming is not the only focus we have here, but we are continuously developing ideas and trying new farming methods. We are happy to find people from all over the world who are as motivated as we are to make living in the Arctic more sustainable. Organic methods: In the summer time, when we enjoy 24 hour sunshine, we grow our plants in greenhouses without the use of any chemical/artificial fertilizers....

This is for those of you who plan ahead. We are full until mid August, in the middle of our best fishing season, wind permitting. Its also during what is normally our best weather. At least some of the time we should be cutting great timber from unwanted trees using a 26 inch/56cm bandsaw. So anyone who loves fishing, snorkelling on inshore reefs and is good at DIY or carpentry and loves the simple, quiet, rural life by the beach, next to the rainforest, this is for you ๐ค. We appreciate help with DIY construction, repairs and maintenance, timber work, boat work, metal work repairs to trailers and for help with gardening, housekeeing, cooking, duck and chicken rearing and dog walking on the beach. Fishing, snorkelling, and rainforest walks can help occupy your spare time. We are looking for reasonably good DIY handymen and women, capable of working effectively, when necessary, on your own or as a pair and, ideally, someone who also has some gardening experience, but that is not r...

Hobbits are "little people" with big hearts and big bare feet firmly connected with mother earth. They habitually live "under the radar" of some PC embellished society and try all their best to not succumb to the madness of it. Claiming their birth right to nature's abundance, love, beauty and endless creativity they naturally make up to and make do with the lack of gold caused by the greedy child-eating dragon behind the bare stone mountains.. Hi, my name is Marianne. I live on a classic New Zealand all-day sunny "tree quarter acre of hobbit shire" looking down to Oamaru. If you arrive early enough at my kitchen window or even up on the jungle hill behind the cottage, you can see the sea and watch the sunrise. A 10 minute stroll down Eden Street gets you either to the CBD or to the shoreline. I am providing three basic meals per day as well as a comfortable and quiet room for your stay and to relax after our daily four hours of working together "out there", somewhere on some befitt...

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) , please don't come if you have a heavy cold or flu, I'm involved with the elderly. Cheers Al

This is an exciting opportunity to have an experience that will stay with you throughout your life. Our Foundation aims at helping rural children receive a qualitative outstanding education. We have a volunteer teaching program to assist rural teachers and children get exposure to foreign languages and cultures. Because English is the second language in Thai schools, we concentrate on improving the English language skills of both rural teachers and children. At present, we aim to help 4 public elementary schools (grades 1 - 6) close to Chiang Mai. We are currently taking applications for volunteers who would available to start mid-November and commit to at least 8 weeks . We are looking for volunteers to teach English only. Couples are welcome as well. NOTE: We do not charge volunteers any fees for staying with us. The generous gift of your time and dedication is all the donation we will ask of you. This is a very healthy warm dry desert climate, where viruses do not thrive. At our farm here in the Coachella Valley, we grow 6 varieties of dates; Medjool, Barhi, Khadrawi, Khalas, Halawi & Zahidi. Tasks include irrigation, pruning, picking, fertilizing, pollination, clean-up, compost, trenching, house cleaning, road repair. We clean our soaking pools regularly and the farm could use the help of an electrician or skills with concrete, and also someone with adequate videography and editing skills and also automotive repair skills. Summer openings for some of August Wow, exploring right outside our backdoor along side the Campbell River on Vancouver Island, is a beautiful place to experience Vancouver Island`s great outdoors this SUMMER with all the wild life right in our back yard :) Although we live on a one acre town lot, our back yard is situated on a cliff over looking an accessible beautiful heritage river, with a nature park setting of ferns, Douglas fir, maple and alder trees. You can often see deer, raccoons, bears and the silver backs of salmon and Steelhead fish jumping in the ebb and flow of the riverโs pools. We have trail access to the river below, where you can enjoy listening to the sing song of many birds, tubing down the river/swimming in the heat of the summer, and trying your hand at casting for Steelhead fish. As well, our neighborhood is the access point to many scenic nature hiking, walking and biking trails. The ocean photo was taken a couple of miles from my home and all other photos...

We have a comfortable house where we have welcomed a few wonderful HelpX travelers in the past. We are a friendly, organic, international family with a 8 year old Cavoodle named Nutmeg. He's a sweetie! We speak English and Malay, enjoy traveling, play lots of board games, and love the beautiful outdoors in the Bay of Plenty. We are actively looking for 1-2 people to help out with some house cleaning and light gardening. We also have the opportunity to help out at our lovely cafe. Basically, you would just work a few hours a day to ring up orders on the till, wash dishes, deliver food, etc. It's a helper job and you don't need any experience. We live walking distance to a lovely beach and peaceful walking trails. If you don't a car, we are on the bus line. You would be staying in one of our guest rooms inside the house and would have access to the downstairs bathroom. We have two bathrooms in our house. You can have all meals and we cook dinner nightly. You can prepare your own bre...

There is plenty to do in the area including fishing on many of the nearby high country lakes (1.6km spectacular walk to Lake Sarah) day walks/ tramping in Arthurs Pass National Park and Craigieburn forest Park, skiing on one of the 5 local ski fields, four wheel driving, Scree jumping (down Sugar Loaf). A short drive to Cave stream scenic reserve (one of the south Islands best free activities) and Castle Hill natural rock climbing park (where scenes from Lord of the Rings and Narnia were filmed). Other nearby facilities are The Bealey Hotel (10mins) and Arthurs Pass 20mins. In exchange I would like four hours work per day. Cass can be reached by car...

*** Available 24th August - 30th September *** We are a small family - two parents and a 10 year old boy. We also have a couple of very friendly cats, 7 chickens and some fish. Our place is 5 minutes walk from the centre of Fremantle, 7 minutes cycle to South Beach and close to all amenities. Fremantle is a great transportation hub and has an amazing live music, cafe and arts scene. Our house is 110 years old with high ceilings and a chilled out vibe in a friendly street close to Wray Ave. We are enthusiastic vergeside collectors who try to salvage things from other people's rubbish before it reaches landfill and to re-home it (ministryoffound on Instagram). Our home is calm and gentle and we are open minded and down to earth. We use solar electricity, worm farm, recycle what we can, use our grey-water in the garden and eat a whole food diet. We are pragmatic about those choices and don't get fanatical. We are looking for a single person or couple to stay in a small studio in o...

8km from Margaret River, an easy 30min cycle on path. Witchcliffe town is quirky hippie with bars, restaurants and cafes. I live in an Eco Village, walking distance to Witchy town. Come experience village life and walk amongst its amazing gardens. We have three dams, the largest being our swimming and kayaking haven. We each own our own homes and between about 20 houses, we share a communal cluster house orchard and chickens. My guest accommodation is in a converted shed with its own lounge, bathroom and loft sleeping. It has lovely views. Food - Witchcliffe has some restaurants and a small local shop for fruit, vegetables and lots of yummy foods. Helping hours - Iโm flexible - 2 hours and we get lots of gardening stuff done. Looking for work in Margs, we can work around that. If the surf is up, do hours after the wind has come in. Want to go away overnight, then work more hours when here. Jobs to do: Filling raised gardens for vegetables. mulching and helping m...

************ PLEASE READ EVERYTHING BEFORE APPLYING ******** Hi! I'm Brรฌ (39 years old) and I live with my little daughter Nina (2 years old). I'm a single mother, recently separated, and I'm rebuilding a new balance with my daughter. In the past I also traveled as a helper. I crossed the Atlantic to Cuba and lived for a year on a boat in the Caribbean, then hitchhiked through Eastern Europe. I truly believe in cultural exchange and in sharing everyday life in a simple and authentic way. Now we live in Milan and Iโm looking for someone who would like to share a bit of our daily rhythm and help me keep our home peaceful and well organized, so I can spend more quality time with Nina. I work during the day and in the evenings I dedicate most of my time to my daughter, so Iโm not always very present โ and I prefer to be honest about that. What I can offer is something different: โข A real immersion in everyday Italian life in Milan. โข A lively, international home where friends, colleagu...

Summer discription: besides our work on the farm we organise international workcamps, long-term stays, and voluntary work in different companies as printery, carpentry, farming, nursery If you like to learn milking cows or driving an old tractor, cutting hedges, shear sheep, build fences or throw honey, test your strength in the muck or while digging the garden - you should join us. If you find dung and greens not so interesting, we understand :-) We are a living and working community with different workshops and bio-dynamic farming in Germany, Baden-Wuerttemberg. We are doing carpentry, printing, video production, publishing and distribution - it is always possible to help. Depending what you want to learn, you can help. We have four more than less old houses here in the village, so we also have to do a lot of construction work. The farming we do is not a business for us to earn money. We do it because we think farming is an important part in a holistic way of life. We have sheep, ...

Hello, Iโm David! I have sold my coffee shop after 45 years in the hospitality trade, where travelling workers would once work, however I STILL offer helpers the same excellent own room lodging as homestay & great food in exchange for a little light work and some social contact. I live close the train station and bus stop and am a 30 min trip by train to Melbourne City. There is a vehicle to drive locally if are appropriately licensed. You are welcome to use it. I go to the outback in western New South Wales about 3 times a year for the purpose of experiencing the beautiful "timeless land" of Australia and to legally hunt feral animals which endanger our wildlife. I often take workers to the outback so they can have a taste of the real Australia and I can assure that none of the numerous helpers/woofers I have taken over a many year period did not thoroughly enjoy it. . However the choice is theirs whether they accompany myself or whether they stay and "mind the house" I also oft...

I have a house with a 0.25ha garden that is part of a larger community . We are about 10 mins drive, or an easy hitch, from Byron Bay (and all its tourist attractions); Brunswick or Mullumbimby and 2 mins from the beach.

I have an opening for one volunteer person to help me with everyday life of looking after animals and some gardening, weeding & basic maintenance of the farm and some house duties in COLLINSVILLE north Qld. I only have the capacity for one person. This is a great opportunity to get away from the city life and enjoy some country living. I have cats horses and chooks.

Cheers Al

I'm a single mother, recently separated, and I'm rebuilding a new balance with my daughter. In the past I also traveled as a helper. Hello, Iโm David!
