We cannot offer any work until September. I will talk about what we need help with first. We have a variety of activities both outside and in the garage in spring, and autumn. At the moment, one important focus is for a person or a couple with the necessary building skills to build gate posts using reclaimed bricks..There is also olive picking and pruning and the clean up after the pruning. These are jobs for autumn or early spring. As summer starts earlier and is hotter we have few options in summer. You could plan ahead to join us for the olive harvest in October. Picking is three days intensive work followed by a two day break. But be aware, we do work all day during picking. In addition, if you can use a heavy motorised strimmer or other form of cutter there are other jobs available but they require strength. Be a volunteer in our ZOO!! Located in the Ecuadorian Amazon Basin we are not only a refuge for orphaned and rescued animals for but we also help to preserve the Amazonian wildlife. By volunteering at our zoo you will have a once in a life time opportunity to work with our various big cats including Jaguars, Ocelots and our Puma family. As well as big cats we also have and offer you the opportunity to work closely with capuchin, spider and woolly monkeys, macaws, peccaries, capybaras and tapirs as well as many more animals.
