My husband Matthias and I, Johanna, came from Germany as backpackers in the 1980s. We met here in NZ, but our home language is German. We are a family with eight children, who we home-educated throughout their school years. Three of them are now married, and we have five grandchildren. Five of our now grown-up children are living at home - either still or again - our oldest son with his wife and 4 boys is living in our cottage, and another son with his wife and baby has moved into a smaller house on our property. A friend lives in our housetruck. So life is happening to the full! Sadly, my husband passed away in January 2024 after a short time of intense illness. We miss him much! Our lifestyle block is home to a gaggle of geese, a flock of domestic ducks, around 40 chickens, some sheep and sometimes a few young male goats, - and of course many wild birds, rabbits and the tiny creatures of fields, woods and duck-pond. An old apple, apricot and peach orchard and a young walnut grove ar...

We are a couple who have bought a piece of land with a house in Mallorca, and we need a hand to help us to renovate the house and take care of the garden. Andrada is just coming at weekends, but I am working there full time. The big value we expect from the volunteers is the company, due to Andrada only staying here at weekends, during the week I am alone, and to share a time with people is a big help. Also, we are people that in the past travel a lot, and we miss the cultural exchange. For daily task here are some examples, help with construction tasks, such as making cement, painting, gardening or cleaning.

Hi everyone my name is David, and I live at in Mount Warning Caldera in Northern NSW. The closest town is Murwillumbah, which is approx a 30 min drive away. I designed and built my property back in the early 80’s. There are 9 other properties out here, but we all have a lot of space as we are on 450 acres of land. Hello everyone! My name is Bird, I was working in Chiang-Mai as a photographer for 2 years then decided to become a farmer and create a Thai traditional agriculture permaculture farm in 2018. I wish to create a relaxing place that allows people from all over the world to take their time to experience life in harmony with nature. I also have four water buffalo on our farm, named Tony, Laura, Hanna and Charlie. We are a local family with a desire to preserve our simple, sustainable way of life so that we can give back to and protect mother earth. Our farm is located in Pua city, 70km north of Nan province surrounded by the mountains and rice fields, in Northern Thailand. The farm is set on 1.5 acres of land with vegetable gardens, rice paddies, farm stay and pizza restaurant. Currently, we have done with natural buildings on the farm, including bamboo huts, fences, and wooden houses. “Life is better with a Buffalo” is our farm goal and “Happiness only real when shared “ is our motto. We are a Portuguese couple with experience on permaculture and self-sufficient-living that in 2015 got 15ha of abundant land in a beautiful valley and an amazing community at the highest mountains inside the biggest natural park of our country. Studied Organic Agronomy and has been practicing it since 2008, with the help of volunteers, interns and apprentices. He enjoys sharing and to make music with friends. I can't see the world, but the world can come see me. First and foremost, I want to thank all the helpers who came from United Kingdom-England, France, Belgium, Italy, China, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. Welcome Helpers. We are a family of 5 living in the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia. Sue is the founder of this place. Her daughter Ruth moved to the Hollow later as well as her husband Tim and their 2 daughters. Our hollow is quite with no neighbors in sight. Also, there is a private guestroom with private entrance on the second floor above the workshop/cabin combination. . We have a lot you can be involved in, knowledge to share, friendships to build, and opportunities for growth. Below are our routines and some projects. We would love to involve you! - Caring for our honey bees, chickens, cats...

I live with my adult son in a rural area 20 minutes from the Wellington CBD. I have other family members living nearby. A daughter, son in law and two teenage grand-daughters. They live on a lifestyle property and my property is a large section backing onto native bush, in a rural setting. We are used to hosting people because I used to have Japanese students billeted with me a few years ago. There is no bus service where we are but about 8 minutes over the hill is a large suburban area called Karori which does have a bus service and shops, a library, public swimming pool and other amenities. I would be prepared to drop a guest over the hill to the bus if they didn't have their own transport. About 20 minutes by car, from my house, you are in the Wellington CBD with all the amenities the city offers. I am a retired school teacher. I am active in my local community and do voluntary work. One of the things my family are passionate about is the environment and we all belong to a riparian...

Looking for people with common sense and practical skills only! It's an old property that needs love and restoring and also an orchard that needs clearing of old trees to make space for new ones. Hello helpers, I live with my now big youngest son in a beautiful village in the east of Holland, nearby Zutphen, a very old town on the river. There is farmland, woods, and water, very pretty and we have a big room with a little kitchen for guests facing an old-fashioned windmill. It's very nice for cycling, sports, hiking, swimming and so, or visiting nearby towns, Holland is very small. Summer is coming and with this my work on festivals and markets is starting to get very busy. I work popfestivals, fantasyfairs, Ibizamarkets, and so on. I'm selling clothing and jewelry. I like to have people help out a bit with the animals and house when I'm out for a couple of days or a week orso for work, or help with handy man and other jobs. But also ike to have people come with me who like festivals and who like to see many places in Holland, since it's all over Holland. Furthermore I 'm looking for a housesitter /petsitter sometimes when we are out for a couple of weeks after summer....

I live with my adult son in a rural area 20 minutes from the Wellington CBD. I have other family members living nearby. A daughter, son in law and two teenage grand-daughters. I would be prepared to drop a guest over the hill to the bus if they didn't have their own transport. About 20 minutes by car, from my house, you are in the Wellington CBD with all the amenities the city offers. I am a retired school teacher. I am active in my local community and do voluntary work.
