Hi, I live in a modern bungalow, high on the Knockmealdown mountains, called "THE VEE", a very scenic area,covered in wild rhododendrons which flower May/ June. We live on a four acre lifestyle block in the peaceful Kaiawha Valley about a two minute drive from the village and the beach. There is a 4 Square Supermarket, a cafe and a tavern in the village. We have a room with a queen bed in a sleep out, with helpers own separate lounge/kitchenette. Access to washing machine. The bathroom is inside the main house located a few metres away. Cambodia is a small country in Southeast Asia. This is a community capacity building institution, that offers affordable raising for poor people, young, Primary Khmer, English students, fostering the development of the modest district in Cambodia. Our project is an important part of the community and its deeply valued by the children, people and their families. We send our Foreigners to local in Phnom Penh city and we travel around Cambodia. We were established in 2016 by me, Kreng, whose goals to help his community and to facilitate an authentic cultural exchange between the students and the foreigners. Hola todas! My place is an old grain mill with half a hectare of land. I live here for more than 17 years and hosted many volunteers. Work is mostly in the garden. Weeding, digging, planting, watering, harvesting and off course eating. There is a big cat family living on the land. Help in the kitchen is welcome. Special dietary requirements must be met by the helpers. In the area there are many activities possible. More yoga teachers than there are yoga students. Meditations, dancing, healing, massage, channeling, singing,....! Many communities of all sorts (hippy, midwives, subud, soefie). Hiking in all directions. Even skiing starting beginning of December. I try to keep a healthy environment, so no drugs that cloud your spirit. No dogs either. People mostly stay between one and two weeks. Work is about 5 days a week, 4 hours a day. Bonjour à tous ! Nous sommes éleveur de chevaux arabes, arabe-barbes et anglo-arabes et nous avons une trentaine de chevaux en moyenne, dont des retraités, des poulains, des adultes qui sont montés ainsi que des pensionnaires. Nos autres animaux sont 2 chiens, un malinois guide de chevaux, et une micro beagle réformée des laboratoires, et des poules qui vivent en liberté. Il est donc primordial d'aimer aussi les chiens, car les deux là sont très invasifs pour avoir des câlins... Notre discipline sportive est l'endurance, et il nous arrive encore parfois de faire des compétitions plus ou moins longues, de 20 à 120 km. Évidemment le cheval est notre passion, et nous aimons partager avec tous ceux qui ont la même passion que nous. Et sinon, je parle anglais mais vraiment pas super bien, et Marcel pas du tout. We are on an 70 acre farm in North Pope County, Illinois and are virtually surrounded by the Shawnee National Forest. Having been on this farm for 13 years, we are still developing infrastructure and are continuing to plant in the orchard and various berries as well as establishing and expanding garden and crop areas. We are a GMO, herbicide and pesticide free farm in all of our outdoor areas. As we are far away from "modern agricultural" property, we feel that we should have no problems with cross pollination of our crops with GMO's or damage/exposure from/to ag chemicals. There are many projects currently in process or in the planning stages. This summer/fall we hope to get new water and electric lines ran to all the barns and the greenhouse as well as get a fiber studio framed in and get the finishing touches on the greenhouses. We are Alan and Olga, we own a Guest House in centre of Edinburgh, capital of Scotland. It is second most popular city for visitors in Great Britain. We offer volunteer opportunities for people of any age, for at least 2 months stay, could be longer. We are looking for a volunteer who has a lot of experience handling multiple rescue dogs. Our volunteer is looking after our 5 rescue dogs and 2 rescue cats 6 hours per day for 5 days per week. Looking after our pets includes cleaning after them, playing with them, taking them for walks.
