This is a traditional family-owned farm which, after years of abandonment, is currently being re-imagined as a sustainable and environmentally-conscious community. Located just 3km from the beach, where the Pampa plain meets the rugged coastline of the Argentinian Atlantic. We are passionate about agriculture, surfing, music, travel, nature and the environment, who want to create a communal space where people from around the world can come to learn about sustainable living and ecological ideals; share delicious organic food from the gardens; surf; tell stories; share knowledge, ideas, culture and language; learn about farming, the environment, or just relax and enjoy the farm and surrounds. The project is in its early stages and we are looking for energetic and responsible individuals wanting to experience and contribute to rural life and communal living close to nature. We are looking for self-motivated individuals to help us out with daily tasks such as helping in the kitchen, kee...

We are a family of two - a mum (46), and a teenage boy(16). Yes that is an old photo! We live very close to central Nelson - a short walk to the town center, bush walks and the river. A perfect location from which to explore Nelson city We would like to offer accommodation ONLY in exchange for two hours of work per day. We prefer short stays, usually 2-4 days but we are open to longer stays. We have had some lovely helpers in the past and enjoyed the experience very much. We are both quiet and social. The type of work that needs doing is general gardening, yard clearing, and light house work. Couples will have a room inside the main house with a queen size bed, single people will have the small, cozy caravan. Wifi is also available for guests. I think there might be a problem with my HelpX message inbox so please email me if you do not receive a reply: nyreeandrews at gmail dot com or by WhatsApp. We look forward to hosting you soon! Kia ora!

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. Our farm is in the mountains of Lares, a rural region in the center of the Caribbean Island of Puerto Rico. A town well known for the rebellion insurgency called "El Grito de Lares", also well known for the coffee plantations and the culinary festivities. Lares has great rivers, beautiful sceneries and nice climate. In this great countryside we manage an agricultural, educational and community project, Proyecto Agroecológico Campesino/PAC. Our mission has been to produce food in a sustainable way, facilitate a practical learning farm for students and share knowledge with the community. For this we work in the transformation of two acres, in an integral farm where combines crop production, animal husbandry, resource management, restoration of soil and ecosystems, inspired by the agroecological principles. We invite you to join us on our every day activities to build a sustainable farm and to share knowledge and experiences. The accommodation includes a private room with kitchen, bat...

We live in a fun share house in Maryborough, Marry Poppins Town, with awesome meals and a big edible garden. We're Mars, the owner of the property and Tracy, a former theatre/restaurant owner who's cooking the most awesome meals and looking after everyone like a mum. There're 2 adorable dogs in the family, so you must be a dog lover. Also 6 chicken, so we always have fresh eggs. We need help with building and creating, and with an awesome but overgrown edible garden. We're about to get ducks in addition, we're about to put 12v solar power into the rooms, also natural air-conditioning and are finishing up the spa bath in the 2nd bathroom... so there's a bit for you to learn and lots of knowledge to take home. We like to work with fun and laughter and love to see you letting a bit of your craziness out. Be yourself and join the family... We have had awesome experiences with travellers so far 😃. Besides having a few rooms available, there're also 2 campervans if you have the desi...

We live on a small hill farm in the beautiful county Wicklow known as the garden of Ireland. We are a family of four. Becky and Kilian and our daughters Zoe (11) and Bea (8). Fiona (18) is also staying with us this year as an au-pair. We are quite remote so it is very serene and peaceful and the view is amazing. We speak English and German as well as French. We farm organically and have 15 free range organic pigs as well as 2 horses and 5 cats. We also have a poly tunnel and farm garden where we grow vegetables for our own use. Becky works from home and Kilian when he is not farming, has an additional part time job which calls him away on projects from time to time. We live 1km outside a little village called Redcross. It has a pub that brews its own beers and there is also a restaurant, snack bar and shop. We are 20 minutes to drive from a town called Arklow which is on the sea and there is normally a chance to get a lift in but it’s only a 1 hour cycle. Wicklow is a cool part of t...

You will like it here! In February and March we need help in our garden with shredding and sawing branches, stacking wood and so on. We are a little unconventional community of 4 persons (66,65,71,74), 1 friendly dog and 2 playful cats and we live in a cosy house surrounded by a garden. Our children are on their own, but they sometimes visit us. We raise our own organic vegetables in several raised beds and normal garden beds. There is always something to do in the garden and around the house or walking the dog, cleaning windows and so on... We live in a small rural village in the beautiful hills of the "Odenwald". Our village is located roughly between Heidelberg and Frankfurt, also Mannheim and Darmstadt can be visited easily. There is a good public transportation to all these cities. The Odenwald is a famous hiking region and ideal for mountain biking, a bike is available. There is a climbing rock not far from our house. We speak English quite fluently and some French. Would like to learn and look after a vineyard, distillery and winery this season, no experience is necessary. Established in 1998 and hosting HELPXers for over 15 years, it is the only certified organic winery in the Perth region. It is situated in the Swan Valley, 7km from Elenbrook and 15km from the Perth airport. The vineyard has 3,000 vines, a large house we live in, a machinery shed, and a winery/distillery on the property. Winemaking occurs during the summer months from January to March. A large, spacious room has a double bed attached to the house with a private entrance. Applications for COUPLES or TWO people are open now. Opportunities for summer vineyard and winemaking work are available now, starting in January 2026. Couples with Visitor visas are also welcome. I want (NON-smoking) volunteers who wish to experience distillery, vineyard, and winemaking work. During the season, there are generally outdoor activities, such as winery and vine work, plus gardening if it is...

My name is Selly and I am the founder of an association. I live in the city of Morogoro in Tanzania, where I was born. I founded this association 4years ago with the aim of promoting access to education for children,Youth and-women in my country and hometown. Unfortunately, although Tanzania has exceptional wildlife and culture, access to education is marked by significant inequalities. Approximately 3.5 million school-age children and adolescents are not enrolled in school, and nearly 30% of children aged 5 to 14 are working, 94% of whom are in the agricultural sector. Additionally, child labor still affects approximately 4.2 million children aged 5 to 17. If you wish to get involved in our project, you are welcome, whether it be for the short or long term. For the past two years, we have regularly welcomed volunteers of all backgrounds to participate in our project, but also to discover our country, its exceptional wildlife and flora, and to exchange ideas about our culture. If ...

I am an aquatic ecologist who has fortunately been working out of our coastal rain-forest property for 35 years. Driven by strong curiosity, I have recently been developing long-term data sets on the animal life in the forest that surrounds our home, plus on tropical marine fish that are steadily increasing in numbers under the influence of climate change at the nearby very beautiful Seal Rocks area (for details click on my website link below). We have 20 acres with 2 acres cleared and the remainder moist tall forest and rainforest. It is on the coast 3 hrs drive north of Sydney (1.5km from Smiths Lake; 30km south of Forster) See my blog link below to glimpse the accommodation, typical work and fun. We have a 180 squ m vegetable garden at times needing attention which has been enclosed to keep out our friends the wallabies (pademelons), possums, parrots and native bush turkeys. Bush regeneration is another activity as well as assisting in ecological surveys of local rivers when t...

Hi We will be looking for helpers to harvest our walnuts from mid March to mid April this year. The work is not difficult and it is a nice environment to work in. Tasks include using a small harvesting machine or hand held nut rollers to pick up the walnuts, then putting them through a washing machine and a sorting machine before they go into drying bins. We live 25 minutes north west of Christchurch on an established property with a big garden, and tennis court. We have a sleepout with a queen sized bed and a spare room also with a queen sized bed in the house. Our house is warm and comfortable. We have tools for fitting out your car/van. We also have a car for sale. There’s plenty of space to relax - we have table tennis, outdoor tennis court, table football, and it’s not far to the beach and mountains. We both like to cook good food from many different countries that we share with you. We have travelled extensively both in New Zealand and in the world. We have done a lot of hiking i...

Hello Potential Volunteers My name is Paul and it was my dream to change my lifestyle from being an office worker to becoming an alpaca farmer.... here we are 14 years later with 100 alpacas, each individually cherishes with names and unique personalities, plus an assortment of other animals all needing our love :) I have three children: Liam (21), Dylan (9) and Oscar (6), and our 100-acre farm is home to approx.100 alpacas, plus llamas, peacocks, hens, mini pigs, a cat named Sexy, and our farm dog Malta. This year we are expecting 20 'cria' (baby alpacas) and each one will need our help so they can thrive! We need to ensure they get colostrum (filled with antibodies and vital for good health) – have they fed from their mums within the first 24hrs? Are they then drinking enough milk from their mums every day? Are they gaining weight? The well-being of my animals is the most important thing on the farm. Do they have good food and enough water, and the best possible natural environme...

We need helpers immediately and out the month of March for pruning vines. Due to the cold winter, we had to postphone the pruning, and the helpers we had made an agreement with, could not make it. We are looking for helpers who are genuinely interested learning about farming/making natural wine. No experience needed. I am Kristian from Sweden and have an almond, fig and vineyard farm off grid with solar power in the Alpujarras, which is just south from the Sierra Nevada Mountain with the summit (Mulhacen) reaching 3500 meters. In 2023 we opened a guesthouse on the farm. The area is perfect for hiking, with the famous GR7 nearby, as well as cycling, on and off-road. The farm is situated 1.6 km away on a dirt track from the bus stop on the main road. The nearest town, Cadiar, is about 15 min away by car. Cadiar has most supplies needed as well as bars and restaurants. You´ll be staying in your own, comfortable apartment. We have great internet connection, in case you need to do so...

Manapouri is also the gateway to the beautiful Doubtful Sound. For food and accommodation, the work is based on four hours a day - the hours can be flexible so you can get away and enjoy t...

WE ARE CURRENTLY RESTRUCTURING THE ALLOTMENT AND NEED HELP WITH LIFTING AND MOVING PAVING We've been part of Helpx for several years now and have met some wonderful people, many of whom we still keep in touch with. We live in York, in the north of England, where we have a garden and (a 10 minute walk away) an allotment where we grow fruit and vegetables. We try to cultivate using the `no-dig` method and like to re-use and recycle wherever possible. Our house has solar panels on the roof for hot water and electricity, as we are keen to reduce our impact on the environment. The work includes turning and spreading compost, making new beds and paths, weeding, seed sowing, planting out, grass cutting and fence painting. From early summer, fruit and vegetables are ready to be harvested and prepared for freezing and conserving. If the weather is bad then there are always jobs to get on with in the house, garage and greenhouse. We can offer all meals, laundry and accommodation, (own ba...
