My husband Matthias and I, Johanna, came from Germany as backpackers in the 1980s. We met here in NZ, but our home language is German. We are a family with eight children, who we home-educated throughout their school years. Three of them are now married, and we have five grandchildren. Five of our now grown-up children are living at home - either still or again - our oldest son with his wife and 4 boys is living in our cottage, and another son with his wife and baby has moved into a smaller house on our property. The distance from the port (Naxos Town) is 36km but the bus sometimes takes the long way through the mountains (52km). There are 3-5 buses daily from Naxos Town to Apollon and vise versa. Travel Companion Wanted – Nova Scotia to Saskatchewan I am looking for a reliable, positive, and adventurous travel companion to join me on a cross-Canada road trip from Nova Scotia to Kamsack, Saskatchewan at the end of June. I am a wheelchair user traveling with my friendly dog and three cats. I need assistance with loading and unloading my wheelchair, walking the dog, helping with the pets, and general travel support. No personal care is required. Traveling with three cats and a dog can make overnight accommodations challenging. Many places either do not accept multiple pets or charge substantial pet fees. Unless we find suitable pet-friendly accommodations along the route, some nights may involve camping, sleeping in a tent, or sleeping in the vehicle. Flexibility and a sense of adventure are important. Would like to learn and look after a vineyard, distillery and winery this season, no experience is necessary. Established in 1998 and hosting HELPXers for over 15 years, it is the only certified organic winery in the Perth region. It is situated in the Swan Valley, 7km from Elenbrook and 15km from the Perth airport. The vineyard has 3,000 vines, a large house we live in, a machinery shed, and a winery/distillery on the property. Winemaking occurs during the summer months from January to March. A large, spacious room with a double bed, attached to the house, has a private entrance. Applications for mature single people are open now. Opportunities for vineyard and maintenance work are available. Couples with Visitor Visas are also welcome.
