We have been fully vaccinated and will welcome helpers who have also been fully vaccinated. My niece and I have a scenic country home on two acres with spectacular views of rolling hills. There are excellent hiking and biking trails nearby, and beaches of Lake Simcoe are only 20 minutes away by car, one hour by bike. We will be happy to drive you there. Two bicycles and high speed WiFi is available. We have two dogs and two cats. We are located one hour north of Toronto - accessible by Go Transit to Newmarket, where we will pick you up. On your days off, we will gladly take you to Newmarket to catch the train/bus to Toronto. We can do the cooking but are happy to share the cooking, and will welcome any specialties you may have. We do not cook vegan or gluten free. If you are vegan or gluten free, then you should probably look for a different host. Also please note that this is also a no smoking, no vaping and no drugs home, and that you must have medical insurance for Canada, ...

Stay with us by a beautiful lake, wake up to the sound of birds, enjoy the sunrise from our beach, disconnect from the noise, become more sustainable, feel the essence of nature and climb the volcano where we live. We are looking for self-sufficient and collaborative individuals to join our team of four volunteers dedicated to maintaining and guarding the property. We offer a straightforward exchange: your work in return for food. If you value independence, don't mind routine tasks, love being surrounded by nature and embrace a self-directed way of living, this could be the perfect fit for you! Hello! My name is Hugo and I live on the slopes of San Pedro volcano in Guatemala, in a wild and truly isolated area of Lake Atitlan, accessible only by water. There are no roads, no close neighbors and no noise. Just pure nature, the songs of birds and a stunning beach. I’m on a journey to build a home in this paradise. Most of the time, I share this space with volunteers, some chickens, a c...

Hello helpers If you would like us to host you, please read all our profile and wonderful references first. We prefer to host working guests who are at least 30 yrs old++. We prefer couples, but will consider singles, especially if DIY/gardening skills are involved! WHO WE WOULD LIKE TO HOST: Strong, energetic people, over 25 yrs of age. DIY, semi-skilled, skilled, and/or gardening/housework. MUST BE HAPPY TO DO GARDENING TASKS. Helpers will need to be confident using a self-propelled mower (not a ride-on), a light weight hedge trimmer, and a strimmer, etc. The work is all physical, (no heavy lifting), and helpxers need to be completely ok with that, as well as happy to work on your own quite a bit. General help for cleaning and gardening, washing vehicles, etc. A can-do attitude is good! We can show you how to do stuff, sometimes do stuff with you or leave you to do it alone if you're confident. Further skills appreciated (diy, maintenance repairs, etc) Best suited to wo...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. Please note, we cannot host anyone with any pre existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions). Approximately 20km from Westport, 1km from Tauranga Bay! Public transport is limited? I'm a Certified Plumber and Drainlayer by trade but recently retired to work on property (next stage of life!) I have hosted many people through Couchsurfing over the years! Helpx is a new concept for me I purchased the property which is in need of a lot of work to tidy up, contouring/fencing/and planting trees etc. I'm now into planting out and setting up orchard also clearing introduced plants and replanting with natives. I have a house with a 0.25ha garden that is part of a larger community . We are about 10 mins drive, or an easy hitch, from Byron Bay (and all its tourist attractions); Brunswick or Mullumbimby and 2 mins from the beach. I`m always glad of help with my 1/4 ha - projects like building the vegie garden; trimming back the ever enroaching bush, or projects around the house. The arrangement is 2 hours in exchange for accommodation (14 hours a week), looking after your own food but sharing our kitchen. Gondwana, the larger community that Lotus Ponds is part of, is about 50 people with a community house and hall with weekly community dinner and meditations, yoga, table tennis & pool tables with levels of activity that depend on who is here. The people living here change more often than I update this ! But typically are inspired by some combination of Dance (5Rhythms, Open-Floor, Contact); Permaculture; Surfing; Osho; Personal Growth; Cooking; Music and Nature; in the rest of Gondwana ...

Hello helpers travellers We live in the Alps, in Maurienne, in a ski resort : Les Sybelles. We are a couple of 40 yo, with a dog. We're looking for helpers for this summer 2025 and all year long. We're back from a 3 months road trip through Scandinavian and Baltic countries. We live close to Le Corbier in a little wooden chalet, lost in the forest, accessible by walking (20 min) or by quad. It is at 1500m altitude. Easier if you have your own car to travel around but all good if you don't. The Corbier is accessible by a walk. We can come to pick you up in St Jean de Maurienne, the nearest town. Hitch hiking works well. It's a wooden chalet, that we're restoring and it will be our main home for now and near future. It relies on solar panel and spring source. We're tend to be self sustainable and autonomous. We used to have hen and planning having some again this summer. We need to the park... We do a lot of our own things, like preserves vegetable, lacto-fermentation, our own tomat...

Would like an energetic couple or single person to help out with gardening, and housework. We would expect about 4-5 hours help a day in return for free accommodation and meals. Large bedroom and own bathroom. We have animals so, would prefer someone who enjoyed them being around. There are many wonderful places to explore in Hawkes Bay when you are not working. Fantastic cycle ways, tramping trips into the native bush areas, beaches and wonderful wineries. Prefer you to have your own car to get around and beable to see the region.

Hi travellers, welcome to NZ! I found out about helpx from travellers overseas and thought I would try it. We live on a sheep and beef farm 35 minutes east of Masterton, 15 minutes from Riversdale beach and 25 minutes from Castlepoint beach. I live with my partner Mel and daughters Kenzie (3yrs) and Emmie (1yr). We are looking for 2 people to help us. One can help to look after our daughters and help around the house and the other person can help Alex on the farm. We are relaxed and flexible. You will have your own room, food supplied, Internet and washing machine. We can pick you up from Masterton. I have travelled a lot and enjoy meeting new people. I think a travelling experience is most enjoyable when a local shows you the local sites, cultures and attractions. I have had many friends, who I have met overseas, visit me and I ...

Hello! We are Colum, Lauren and Arthur and we run a dog boarding kennels and small holding in the Scottish Borders. We have a capacity of 40 dogs and pride ourselves on being a family business that really get to know the dogs and their needs. We walk the dogs three times a day (morning, noon and late afternoon) in a securely fenced woodland walk area. We walk them in carefully selected groups so that they can run and play together and they’re nearly always off lead - assuming we’re confident they’ll come back to us! Our busiest times are school holidays but we are open all year round and are often fully booked. Along with walking them the other main jobs are feeding, cleaning and checking them in and out. Of course there’s always various other things that need doing such as hoovering dog hair (there's plenty of it!) and even grooming on occasion! Obviously a dog lover will have a great time with all the waggy friends but we think that even someone who hasn’t had much experience aroun...

We also love to hear about where you are from, and where your travels have taken you. We operate the only oyster farm in the Whangarei Harbour. Our farm is fairly small and is situated on the mud flats at the beach below our property. If you would like a 'different' type of farming experience, then come and stay with us. I m an Irish filmmaker recently relocated to France. I have just bought a 150 year old French Manor House(20+ rooms) and two giant barns which I am converting into an independent film studio as well as a recording studio and artists studios. I plan to run Kino Kabaret filmmaking events here as well as writer retreats and film industry masterclasses. I also plan to hold outdoor theatre in the summer. I also love to cook and try new dishes so look forward to cooking with travellers. Outside there is an in ground swimming pool which needs to be repaired in time for summer Inside the house it is mainly painting and decorating as I bring the various salons and bedrooms back to their former glory. I need to lay floor tiles in a few rooms and wood in a couple more. In the barns I need help building a 30 seat cinema/screening room, editing suites as well as the recording studio. Altogether there are a huge amount of tasks and something suitable to all skill levels. Helpers will have their own ...

I'm Julie and my partner Charles and we are an older (in age) couple living the dream and have a small slice of heaven in the Tweed Caldera surrounded by a lot of Australia's wildlife. Our place is 26km inland from Murwillumbah. It's a 45 minute drive from Gold Coast airport, just over the Queensland border. We are 900kms north of Sydney. It is a 1 hour 20 minute flight to Gold Coast (OOL). From Sydney to Murwillumbah by bus takes 15 hours. When not working we travel to SE Asia and bush walk our local area. We are both accepting of all and our mantra is 'Peace, Love and Understanding'. There are no rigid helping hours or conditions. Jobs are dependent on weather conditions and what needs to be done at that time and what helpers would like to get involved with. Julie is multi skilled and talented in lots of areas. Conversation is never dull! Charles was born in Scotland and lived in Canada before coming to Australia. He also has a wide range of interests and skills. You name it,...

On the 25th of August Lydia is going to visit her family, who she hasn't seen for 35 years, for 2 months. That leaves Alan on his own for 2 months and he would dearly love some company and assistance. If 1 or 2 of you lovely people would like to keep him company, please let us know. In addition to everything else, I would love someone who knows how to use Light Room and or Photoshop and would be happy to teach me. Hey good people, we would love 1 or 2 people to come and give us a hand. We are Alan and Lydia, a middle-aged couple being as self-sufficient as we can be. Solar power, rainwater, organic gardens, chickens, quail, 8 bee hives, 2 friendly dogs. The cooler weather is here and it's time to start getting things done. Like gardening, building more chicken pens, harvesting honey, some fencing (not much) hanging a couple of gates and just general everyday things that keep it all ticking over. We don't have any close neighbors, the closest is 1 km away, so it is quiet and peaceful,...

We have availability for a helper from around 25th August for 2 - 4 weeks but with less farming than at other times of the year. We are looking for a female native French speaker who is good with children. Tasks will include playing with our children while teaching them French, housework, helping to prepare our Airbnb accommodation and possibly, some farmwork. We'd consider hosting 2 helpers at this time. Then, from mid-end of September, we are looking for help for the same tasks but there'll be more opportunity for farmwork. For this preiod, our preference is for stays of at least 6 weeks and for one helper. 🐑 🐎 We could also offer a stay to someone without farmwork, if that's preferred. 🐑 🐎 Helpers will work for 6 hours per day 5 days a week in return for food and accommodation. 🐑 🐎 🐎 🐑 Our farm is in the north-west of Ireland, in County Sligo. As well as horses and sheep, we have two alpacas, a pig, a dog, and some chickens! During the summer months, we provide English l...

One helper for 7 to 10 days or a couple traveling together for 5 to 10 days August 2025 I am retired and reside on a property situated in the Noosa Hinterlands I have two daughters who live close and two granddaughters who I love to spoil. I also have a large dog who is turning four years old and enjoys nothing more than her afternoon walks around the property followed by playtime and then food. The helpers must not be afraid of an extra large dog, she is contained but enjoys interaction with others. Volunteers would experience the joy associated with living on a small acreage property of 28 acres in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland and also experience the peace and tranquility that small acreage living has to offer. Volunteer help for 4 hours per day each person which would including but not limited to gardening, pruning and mulching also some housework and assisting with home cooked Australian meals in exchange for accommodation with own private bedroom with queen bed and own bathroo...

After 25 years of doing this I've decided to limit the people I will accept. Potential helpers must have comprehensive knowledge of what they are doing. No first timers. I no longer have the patience to train people. I think it's a bit of 'grumpy old man syndrome'. ABSOLUTELY,No smoking or vaping on the property at all. No exceptions. I HAVE RECENTLY HAD PEOPLE WHO HAVE NOT FOLLOWED THIS GUIDELINE. I prefer to breathe clean air. NO SMELLY, PERFUMED SHAMPOO, CONDITIONER, BODYWASH SUNSCREENS OR DEODORANTS PLEASE, I CAN SUPPLY ALTERNATIVES. How about heading south to the most beautiful part of Australia? Or if you are already in Tasmania, that's a bonus. We are always welcoming and love to show off our stunning island home. Work would involve getting the garden ready for planting this Spring and other various farm jobs. Nothing too hard or difficult. I'd like some help clearing and establishing some walking tracks through the forest on the property. I prefer people with experience i...

I live in an old farm and farmhouse in Normandy. I have converted a cottage into a holiday cottage with 4 bedrooms (all en suite) and one barn into another. I also had a Yurt (now gone but the pictures are still there !!) and a campsite. With the guest-accommodation, farm and further buildings to be converted, I could always do with an extra pair of hands. Skills can range from building, painting, cleaning, farming and general maintenance. Someone with a sense of humour would be great. I enjoy music so you may find all sorts playing, from classical to Genesis, Roxy Music to London Grammar! Current projects (weather dependent) include: 1. restructure barn 2. burn garden rubbish 3. move garden shed 4. create car port I offer accommodation and meals included in return for help normally 5 days a week. After a week I'm happy to give a day tour of the battlefields ... Phone number (what's app) available on request. Easy to find and get to .. .By train leave Paris at the Gare de St ...

This is a very unique little farm and I love welcoming helpers to stay and help here. I prefer to host traveller/helpers who are mostly self contained..., in their own camper van (or similar). I prefer helpers to have a skill set that fits well with the permaculture doctrine and organic food growing. I provide a very nice semi self contained camp site - with water on tap, a raised metal campfire brazier and all over covering shelter(tarp) stretched between peppermint trees ! Yes, of course it's winter...., but our winters are becoming weaker, warmer and drier as time moves on..., and because this property lies in a protected valley with a stream flowing the middle it has become a sanctuary for the many native animals of the Boranup Forest. I am currently seeking helpers who will help me with weeding, stick picking, raking up leaves, seaweed harvesting and placing it around fruit trees and firewood cutting. Also....., I can find local work for helpers staying here..., especially i...

July 2025 - We would be delighted to host a single volunteer or a couple who would not mind helping us for a few hours with simple household tasks such as keeping the house tidy, cooking, watering the plants, and welcoming guests. Our guests are typically "alternative travellers" staying overnight, including Via Francigena pilgrims and members of communities like CouchSurfing. We're expecting to host occasional cyclists and hikers until October-November. After that, things will go quieter here. Nestled in the heart of the Cévennes, the Pont Mares fish farm is set in a preserved natural environment of rivers, forests, and mountains. It's the perfect place to enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities such as hiking, river swimming, climbing, and canoeing This summer, we are carrying out renovation work on the site: earthen plastering on the houses, plumbing, carpentry, external insulation, as well as green space maintenance (brush clearing, and restoring dry stone walls). We provide meals and accommodation for our guests. Activities are scheduled for about 5 hours a day, leaving the rest of the day free. For those staying longer than a week, weekends are free to explore the region and its many attractions.

There's a nice hexagonal composting toilet, an outdoor shower, and a shared kitchen and dining area. My name is Edison I have a wife, her name is Nofi. I also have two children, Ochta (32 years old) and Fadlil (12 years old). Ochta can speak English. I run a private English school for children between the ages of 7 and 19 in the small town of Batusangkar, West Sumatra. My goal as the principal of the school is to provide youth from my region with the English skills required to communicate better in the modern world, and therefore provide them with better opportunities in their lives. I would like to welcome any fluent English speakers under the age of thirty to assist my teachers in the classroom. You would help immensely by having simple conversations with the students and providing them a real English speaking experience inside or outside the classroom. All the students are very welcoming and curious about my visitors, and I am certain that you will have a great experience while interacting with them. Hei ! Here is Ingunn and Mathieu. We are a Norwegian-French couple and since mai 2021 a happy family of three. Our family house "Karnes Gaard" is a farm since the 16th century. In 1912, Ingunn's grand father gave part of the land for the Tromsø county to build "Solhov", prestigious boarding school and largest wooden building north of Trondheim. When Ingunn took over the farm in 2009, running it organically felt something obvious. And when Solhov was for sale the next year, a dream became possible : sharing our love for the Lyngen Alps by hosting guests who seek breathtaking surroundings, healthy stay and organic local food, peaceful lifestyle and carbon-free activities. Our dream is to serve as much as possible our organic and local products to these guests. Originally we grow potatoes and strawberries (the best in the world) and we are studying the possibility of many small scale production. our coming projects are : - mai-june 2024 : finish the chicken house and welcome our first...

Our slice of paradise is home to a stunning array of native vegetation and a bustling community of native wildlife, making it the perfect retreat for nature lovers and eco-warriors alike. Our current projects which we would love some help with, include gardening, bush regeneration, maintaining bush tracks, painting, general house and property maintenance. We also have some odd jobs for someone with building experience. We're offering cozy private studio accommodation equipped with TV and internet. We ask for 4 hours of help a day, (we are flexible as to when you achieve those hours) leaving you plenty of time to explore or just kick back and relax. Whether you're a master chef or someone who enjoys being cooked for, we've got the food covered in exchange for your awesome help (and maybe a hand with the dishes 😉). 🚗 Getting Here 🌳 Got transport?

We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. My property is 10 hectares on the West Coast of the South Island, which starts at the coast with sand beach and sunsets and heads inland 1km through native wetlands and forest. Current projects are building a new cottage for myself which is at the internal painting stage! and similar 2-bedroom cottage as a guest house which is at the internal lining and painting stage! both will be total off grid power and water supply.

E.g: if you want to take a day off to check out Castlepoint beach or go to Martinborough to the vine yards we are more than happy for you to do that.

Hi, We are Buster & Pauline. We have hosted many helpx from all around the world. We love to impart knowledge about NZ and our local area.

We are a small, dedicated group of volunteers building an open community of higher learning where art, aesthetics, movement, and deep conversations are as important as academic content. Our castle in the Ardennes is an oasis of free speech—a place where students, volunteers, and academics can challenge each other to grow intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually. Why Volunteer With Us? Since opening our doors in September 2024, we’ve been shaping Academia Libera Mentis into a thriving environment for education and self-discovery. To ensure we can welcome 40 students in the summer of 2025, we’re continuing our renovations and creative projects, and we’d love your help! Volunteer Tasks & Contributions We invite motivated and open-minded volunteers to assist with: ✅ Renovation & Maintenance – Painting, decorating, light construction ✅ Gardening & Landscaping – Maintaining our beautiful surroundings ✅ Creative & Artistic Projects – Murals, interior design, DIY furniture ✅ Community S...

We invite you to read updates, news, and availability on our activities on our blog: https://voluntouring.org/2025/04/26/codibugnolo-volunteer-project-food-accommodation-north-west-italy/ WHO WE ARE We are Milena and Simon (29/38 years old from Germany and Italy), and last year we finally realised our dream of buying a little house with a big garden in the northwest of Italy. We moved here last winter and started with renovation works on the house, and with the warmer temperatures, we are now...

The accomodation is a 8' x 12' studio with a small covered front porch. There's high speed wifi and solar power, and it's surrounded by forest. There's a nice hexagonal composting toilet, an outdoor shower, and a shared kitchen and dining area. Looking for someone who can work independently on some tasks (gardening, painting) while I'm at my day job, and we'll work together some too (tree planting, construction projects). I work as a zipline guide and love touring people around the Island, so I'd be happy to take you on adventures on the weekends too!

You can expect to answer all their questions, pose for pictures, and be invited...

HI ! We are located in Northern NSW, roughly 35km from the towns of Lismore, Mullumbimby and Byron Bay. Great! If not, no worr...
