Permaculture project with idea and space to create an eco-village. The quinta is located in Alto Alentejo 2km from Portalegre. 15 hectares with magical forests and a beautiful valley provided by seventeen sources and several mines with healthy water where too people live permanently for the moment,Isabel, a communication manager and Michel, a carpenter who is the founder of the project. There is also one dog, five cats, for chickens and six sheep. The project is now in the phase when it’s open so that more people can live here. Because parts of the ruins are ready for occupancy, there is space for people who want to stay longer, which can bring new and stronger dynamics throughout the year, not like before, when there was only a lot going on in the summer months. So far there is already a beautiful gardens going on and numerous species of plants, shrubs and trees which deliver us plenty of food. We are happy when someone shows enthusiasm for the garden because this is a central part...

It`s been over 10 years now that we are participating in programs like this. We never get tired of new people staying and having strangers turning into friends. Also our neighbors and others in the village enjoy the exchange. They are always up for a small talk, which is great for you to practice your German! About us: We have organic breed Wagyu Beef (the most expensive meat in the world). There are 3 Horses, a Pig, Chicken, Dogs and a bunch of Cats that are also part of the Farm. We also grow all sort of crops. Either to feed our animals or to sell them. We also grow apples, plums, pears, potatoes and many other things that grow in a garden. There is never a time during summer where u can not just go outside and eat something straight from where it grows.. Ruesselhausen is a small village. Just perfect to be in the nature. There are bikes for you to use so you can discover the surrounding nature. It would be good if you speak a little German because not all of us speak English. We...

Who are we ? Hello ! My name is Marlene, I live in a small coffee farm near Fusagasuga with my family: my husband Omar Ricardo, my son Joseph who is 16 years old, and my mother in law Modesta. We also live with our 2 dogs and 2 cats who are very friendly. I am a professor of middle school and I work half a day, except on weekends, but Omar Ricardo, Joseph and Modesta are always here in the farm. It's only been a year and a half since we have been living here in the country, as we were before living in Bogota and then Fusagasuga. That's why our farm still needs a lot of improvement :) About our farm : Our farm is in the middle of the country, at 25 minutes by car and 30 minutes by bus of Fusagasuga. The bus stop is at 10 min by feet and pases each half-our. If you need we can take you in Fusagasuga by car: We have 3 hectares of property, in which we cultivate coffee and other trees like, guanabana, platan, cacao, mangoes, avocados, oranges, lemon, mandarine. You can taste and enjoy ...

Our next availability is from 14 - 28 June, and then from 6 August and all September until 14 October. We are Joanna and Charlie and we live in the Cambridgeshire countryside, sharing our home much of the time with visiting dogs. If you love dogs, the countryside and quiet family life we are the place to visit. We are close to Cambridge but as the last bus is at 7.15 pm not easily accessible if you want a wild nightlife. We offer a comfortable room and good food in exchange for the congenial company of reliable, cheerful dog-lovers who are willing to undertake a range of tasks such as gardening, cleaning etc Our 2 daughters after time spent travelling (and Helpxing) are now both living in London (one of them spent a year studying in Japan) so our household usually consists of two people and various dogs. I often have dogs to stay, so you need to be relaxed and happy around dogs.We go for long walks with the dogs every day so there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy ...

We live in a nature sanctuary on Corfu island in Greece. we are a COMMUNITY of PLANTS, ANIMALS AND HUMAN BEINGS, who try to live together IN THE SPIRIT OF NATURE. we are organized similar to a zen monastery. yet we are not affiliated to any religious body, but to the holy body of our mother earth. the earth takes care of us. the earth gives to us what we need. she gives us and she for-gives us – she never asks for money… we admire the communities in nature (ecosystems), where all members balance their needs and gifts in a healthy way, without money, without machines and without chemicals. here in NATURE’S SANCTUARY we try to live in harmony with nature. we try to support and protect all our nature brothers and sisters, who share this sanctuary with us… it is a CHALLENGE TO LIVE IN HARMONY WITH NATURE. it is a challenge to protect and support all nature beings in a way, that they have the chance to live in their own natural born communities. we are looking for people, who want to take...

Hello Potential Volunteers My name is Paul and it was my dream to change my lifestyle from being an office worker to becoming an alpaca farmer.... here we are 14 years later with 100 alpacas, each individually cherishes with names and unique personalities, plus an assortment of other animals all needing our love :) I have three children: Liam (21), Dylan (9) and Oscar (6), and our 100-acre farm is home to approx.100 alpacas, plus llamas, peacocks, hens, mini pigs, a cat named Sexy, and our farm dog Malta. This year we are expecting 20 'cria' (baby alpacas) and each one will need our help so they can thrive! We need to ensure they get colostrum (filled with antibodies and vital for good health) – have they fed from their mums within the first 24hrs? Are they then drinking enough milk from their mums every day? Are they gaining weight? The well-being of my animals is the most important thing on the farm. Do they have good food and enough water, and the best possible natural environme...

Student Accommodation and Digital Music Studio in Oxford - Hi there - I have 2 houses where I provide accommodation for international students - I have 1 or 2 students in each house for long lets and often couch-surfers for 1/2 nights - Oxford is a great international and multi-cultural study centre and its easy to feel at home in this city. The students and professionals who live with me are normally University students at all levels - They are usually independent and busy with their studies/research - so this is not like a hostel - but they are happy to have a coffee and chat when they are around.
For Helpers - I accept students and workers and international travellers - those who are looking for a change of lifestyle whether just for a few weeks or as part of a longer term adventure in international travel. Here I need a helper to assist me in both houses in basic house-keeping duties - cleaning, some house repairs, gardening, food preparation, etc.   In connection with the stu...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. Please note, we cannot host anyone with any pre existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions). We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our doorstep, hiking trails through the mountains and forests, cycling paths, and skiing in the...

We are looking for someone to come in May. We can offer generously sized guest rooms, food, amenities and a good social and cultural experience. We will be working on a number of simple carpentry jobs and traditional building restorations. About us: We decided to quit the rat-race in London a few years ago and make our escape to the Portuguese countryside and work remotely! Sharlit is French, works as a Voice Over artist from our home studio, and Charlie is a British garden designer growing his knowledge of fruit bearing plants on our land here in Northern Portugal. We have opened up the space to accommodate other remote workers and travelling creatives, whilst learning Portuguese, counting on our very friendly neighbours to share their culture and knowledge of the land, and caring for our newest addition to the family, little Cobie, born in August 2023! Our home is nestled in a valley 30 mins away from Porto and our land backs up onto a beautiful waterfall! (makes for lovely water s...

We are a small community and registered charity of Buddhist practitioners living in a Meditation Centre in the rural landscape in Ireland. We have many different volunteers helping us at our Meditation Centre, not all of whom are Buddhists, as we are open for anyone from any background wanting to come and learn more about our way of life. We have three ordained people at our Centre, which includes a Tibetan Buddhist Lama (monk) originally from Tibet, the Venerable Panchen Ötrul Rinpoche, who is the Spiritual Director of the Centre. His Holiness the Dalai Lama is the patron of our Centre. We have many lay practitioners and people of other faiths who come and help us here. The work we do at the Centre not only helps run the Centre, but it also helps us raise funds for Venerable Rinpoche's different overseas charities in Mongolia and India. We have daily meditation practices which are open to everyone to attend. We have a library with many different books from different traditions in B...

This summer we need help with general maintenance and simple carpentry. We have a large garden and are (almost) self-sufficient in vegetables and fruit. We have been growing produce for ourselves (with a small excess for sale outside our house) for the past 28 years. We have 4 laying chickens. Help needed clearing beds, a bit of digging sometimes, wedding etc, chopping wood, we also need help with general maintenance, carpentry. For 2025 we have a major digging job - removing a large amount of bamboo, This is heavy work and might suit a couple, or 2 men coming here together or just someone who wants to get stuck in!. We are located in the beautiful village of Abbotsbury, in West Dorset, southern England, with views of the sea (20 minutes walk away). Mary-Clare is a textile artist - see website link below - and Andrew is writer (and web designer). Mary-Clare also runs Antenatal and Parenting classes. Howdy ! Come help to renovate an incredible cabin that was originally built as a log cabin in 1850! No experience necessary, only and openness and willingness to work and learn. I'm open to volunteers for just a couple days, a week or more. LOCATION: The cabin is in the forest on the top of a small mountain overlooking a peaceful lake on the outskirts of the town of Calumet (just a 10 min walk away). Best of all is that the property borders on 300 acres of public forest land with lots of trails for biking, hiking and exploring nature (Swedetown Recreation Area). A ride down a 30 minuet mountain bike trail and your on the shore of Lake Superior! Only 5 minutes to the big lake beach if your driving ! CALUMET is a lovely town and a main tourist destination for the U.P. Michigan (Keweenaw Peninsula). Check it out online. It has a wonderful farmer's marker every Saturday, some good coffee shops, restaurants, an active performance theater, music events and more. Everything is accessibl...

We are restoring an old traditional Béarnaise house located at the foot of the Pyrenees in the Ouzom valley. We want to share it with people who can help us with the garden as well as with the house to maintain or restore it. Assistance activities concern the maintenance or restoration of buildings (lime plaster, carpentry, plumbing, electricity, etc), maintenance of the garden (brush clearing) and its vegetable garden, whether it is windy or raining, depending on the projects in progress and the skills of each. Slug hunting to be planned every evening at nightfall. Once a week a complete cleaning of the premises will be carried out by all. We ask for 5 hours help a day, 5 days a week. We offer accommodation in a large 4-bed dormitory. Please, bring your work gloves and clothes , if you have any. Everyone must be autonomous and responsible enough to know how to clean and store the tools or things they have used, as well as to participate daily, outside helping time, in all the househo...

This is an exciting opportunity to have an experience that will stay with you throughout your life. Our Foundation aims at helping rural children receive a qualitative outstanding education. We have a volunteer teaching program to assist rural teachers and children get exposure to foreign languages and cultures. Because English is the second language in Thai schools, we concentrate on improving the English language skills of both rural teachers and children. At present, we aim to help 4 public elementary schools (grades 1 - 6) close to Chiang Mai. We are currently taking applications for volunteers who would available to start sometime between mid-May and the end of June and commit to at least 8 weeks . *edit* I’ve recently had an accident and broken my hip,and bashed my head and have been told I need to not over do things… so I could really do with someone to help around the place as soon as possible.. We are a small family, a dad and two lads. I’m Barny and my two sons age 14 and 9. We live completely off-grid in the Eden Valley, on the side of the Pennines “area of outstanding natural beauty” and looking across to the Lake District national park. We live in a cabin and sleep in wagons, that I’ve either built or renovated both a showman's wagon and Gypsy caravans. We have horses, chickens, a cat, and sometimes other animals.. There’s our neglected garden where we sometimes grew vegetables And would love someone to come and breathe life back into it! It’s a beautiful place, 4.5 acres with semi ancient woodland and a stream running through it. It is fairly remote, although there is a village 1km away, where my friends have recently taken over the pub and started putting on musi...

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

I need some help to renovate an old cottage (build in 1880): painting walls and ceilings; working with roof pans and mortar (from inside), help in the garden. Other families in my little village (100 persons) will ask also for help by you. I offer of course accomodation and food - but I am a lousy cook!!. Inside the house is still something like a construction site, so accomodation is a little bit primitiv.

This is a small farming property ten minutes drive or around 30mins bike ride from the coastal town of Esperance. There is a comfortable sleep-out available or a room in the main house. The adjacent bush and wetlands provide kangaroos and birdlife for the nature lovers. Helpers may enjoy feeding the sheep and cows or other farm related tasks and there is always firewood to split for the wood stove. The 4 alpacas enjoy some attention too. Expect an international flavour as current occupants include travellers from Argentina, Italy China and New Zealand. It is important to understand that there is no public transport into Esperance, any visitors will need their own transport.

Good morning everyone! My name is Lidia and I live in Sabina, in the countryside near Rome. I'm looking for someone who loves the rhythms of nature and can help me prune the olive trees, fix the fence, and do other maintenance work. I'm reorganizing my ceramics studio and need help. In August, I could host someone to take over caring for my two cats and a dog and watering my beloved garden. Do you think this would interest you? In November, you could help me harvest the olives. I have a wonderful, centuries-old olive grove, and this could be an interesting experience for you. You'll certainly get your share of the oil for this work. The next step will be pruning the olive trees... If you know how to use a chainsaw, do small carpentry or plumbing jobs, and want to experience this, you're welcome! Travelers in campers and other vehicles are welcome, and we'll accommodate you in a separate room. The duties and hours of assistance vary depending on the season and needs, but no more tha...

Hi there, I'm a 30 year old male renovating a house in a gorgeous location in south east Cornwall approx. a mile from a gorgeous strip of untouched national trust coastline. I'm looking for someone (preferably a semi-skilled tradesperson) to assist me in renovation and building work in exchange for food and accommodation in this beautiful area. I'm initially looking for someone for some weeks over the summer who wishes to explore Cornwall and enjoy the summer down here but I can potentially offer paid work for anyone wanting to stay longer. I'm a keen spearfisherman so happy to show you that and preferably you like fish that I catch regularly (bass, scallops, lobster to name a few). I also have a boat and fully kitted out woodworking shop. The location is very rural but has good links by ferry to the larger town of Fowey. A motorbike or e-bike would be a good way to get around as it is quite hilly! There is a great local community of events and a large number of young people in the ar...

Would like to learn and look after a vineyard, distillery and winery this season, no experience is necessary. Established in 1998 and hosting HELPXers for over 15 years, it is the only certified organic winery in the Perth region. It is situated in the Swan Valley, 7km from Elenbrook and 15km from the Perth airport. The vineyard has 3,000 vines, a large house we live in, a machinery shed, and a winery/distillery on the property. Winemaking occurs during the summer months from January to March. A large, spacious room with a double bed, attached to the house, has a private entrance. Applications for COUPLES or TWO people are open now. Opportunities for Autumn vineyard and maintenance work are available now, starting in April 2026. Couples with Visitor visas are also welcome. I want (NON-smoking) volunteers who wish to experience distillery, vineyard, and winemaking work. During the season, there are generally outdoor activities, such as winery and vine work, plus gardening if it i...

We can't wait to meet you in the Cotswolds! We have a large Georgian Farmhouse just outside Castle Combe - one of Englands most beautiful Cotswolds villages, which was used as the location for Stephen Spielberg`s movie `War Horse` and many other famous TV and film titles. We operate as a Guest House and also have three self catering cottages in the grounds. Guests can have afternoon tea here which is all home made using mostly our own home grown vegetables and fruit which we produce on our land.

We...

The closest train station is Beenleigh. Your own car is a plus. We welcome working holiday visa holders with good horse experience and most importantly a passion for horses !! In order to learn your daily task, routine and horses personalities, we will ask you to stay a minimum of 3 weeks. Long stays are really welcome. We start each morning training the horses, washing them and feeding them. All the retired horses need to be feed and watered as well. We need to feed and water all the horses again each night before dark. The ideal helpers will be positive, willing and with a some decent english.

We are looking for helpers throughout the year to assist with all the day to day organisation such as cleaning, bed making, gardening, DIY, waiting at table etc and we usually prefer if you can stay three weeks or longer. We have a lovely Vintage Shepherds Hut where our helpers sleep during the summer months. In the winter we have a cosy room in the Farmhouse available. We would really like someone who enjoys cooking, house keeping and home maintenance together with all aspect of the hospitali...
