- Space likely available from 24th January. **Please note that we ask that all enquiries include a proposed arrival and departure date** We are a busy, free-hold pub with brewery and gin distillery in a small village beside the sea in North Devon. We serve real ales, home-made food, and run regular music nights, games night and discussion groups. We are busy with holiday-makers and residents alike, and the pub is an important part of the community here. Depending on the length of stay and time of year, volunteers might find themselves helping with general maintenance, cleaning and organising or assisting in the kitchen- helping service run smoothly during lunchtime and evening sessions. Kitchen work is mainly washing dishes and helping keep things tidy during service, carrying food to tables, etc. The nature and duration of the work varies depending on how busy we are. In the summer and at school holidays, the work will be in the kitchen. We also need some help cleaning the pub in ...

We are a family of four offering a comfortable, self‑contained one‑bedroom unit to travellers in exchange for help with our garden, which we are gradually revegetating. Our children are 1 and 4 years old, so we welcome guests who enjoy being around little ones and who can be mindful of keeping noise low during nap times and evenings. Our accommodation is well suited to solo travellers, couples, or friends travelling together who are happy sharing a peaceful, family‑oriented environment. We have a queen sized bed in the bedroom for our guests, however there is also a day bed and a fold our sofa in the units living space that can be converted into additional beds if required. Our home is located in a quiet neighbourhood just 4 km from the Launceston CBD. There is a bus stop close by, and a local supermarket is only a five‑minute walk away. Just across the road from our home is Queechy Lake, a peaceful natural space that is especially appealing to birdwatchers and nature lovers. These...

Hi everyone , I would like to have some help to get my house and garden organized and take care of my dog, she is 8 year old and maybe some minor construction work like sanding or painting. It would be great to have someone around if possible for at least 2-3 weeks so if you want to be part of a fun time just contact us. The Region offers lots of beautiful sites to discover and many sports activities are available. Connections by train are easy to every were. I live in a small town on the country side, speak french, english and german. Feel free to ask more details. It would be great to host someone independant, who likes to organize work alone and who would enjoy the privacy of a room and bathroom in a house with a garden. Lots of opportunities to visit the country as trains are running often and anywhere from early morning to late night. We are used to travel and have enjoyed so many helpers from around the world. See you soon !

Hello. I’m Paolo, a recently retired musician. I live in a mountain area made of rounded, wooded peaks in the inland of the Italian Riviera, at the point of connection between two regions, Tuscany and Liguria, widely renown for art towns (Pisa, Lucca, Florence among others) and picturesque fishing villages. It’s a quiet setting to get away from it all, with a 360 degree view stretching for tens of miles and right down to the Mediterranean Sea, only 25 km/15 miles away. Here is where the Alta Via (High Route of the Ligurian Mountains) starts, a long-distance waymarked hiking trail for nature lovers. I speak Italian (native), English (fluent) and French (fluent). I’m looking for volunteers who are self-motivated and good with their hands, willing to help me with general maintenance around my property in exchange for food and lodging in a friendly environment. I appreciate a baggage of life experience that is not too small, so volunteers in their mid to late twenties at least and in t...

It looks like we are full until at least mid July but you are still welcomed to make inquiries about future dates. We appreciate help with DIY construction, repairs and maintenance, timber work, boat work, metal work repairs to trailers and for help with gardening, housekeeing, cooking, duck and chicken rearing and dog walking on the beach. Fishing, snorkelling, and rainforest walks can help occupy your spare time. We are looking for reasonably good DIY handymen and women, capable of working effectively, when necessary, on your own or as a pair and, ideally, someone who also has some gardening experience, but that is not really necessary, learn on the job! 😉👍. So you need to be a "morning person" who is happy to start work at 07.00 hr, at least five mornings a week, not a night-owl. This is to avoid the heat of the afternoons at this time of year, mornings ca n be beautiful. Much of the work will be outside, based out of a well-equipped, air-conditioned, woodworking worksho...

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

In 2006 my husband and me moved from Germany to Croatia with the intention of a simple life in a natural, rural and clean enviroment. A few years ago sadly my husband passed away. In the meantime my mum moved in , so its the two "old ladys " :-) Now i am trying to handle the "farm" on my own. During our life here we have realized how many poor dogs and cats are abonded and we started "picking" them from the street, giving them a shelter and try to find a new home. So one part of help which i need is with taking care of the dogs, which includes providing them with food, water, cleaning the pens and of course peting them. I am looking for people who have a strong work ethic, who see whats to be done, and can clean up after themselves. I also need help with the everyday activities on the farm which vary according to the time of year. Typical tasks include tending the garden, weeding and harvesting. Other seasonal activities include preparation of the garden beds, application of compo...

Kia Ora to you Please come stay so you can get to know some Aucklanders and our inner city fun and funky neighbourhood, I really appreciate having people to stay from Helpx to help with some of the jobs of maintaining an old wooden villa and garden. The garden is based on permaculture principles. My home is in Grey Lynn in a central part of Auckland. Close to cafes, bars, and the Auckland Zoo.The bus route is excellent. I also have bikes you can use to get around the city. You will be sharing our house with us and have your own room. I run Air BnB in the other rooms so there will be other guests in the house. Many are on the Working Holiday Visa looking to establish themselves and get sorted when they arrive or are leaving New Zealand. We like to cook and eat together when it suits everyone. Ours is a busy social house and you can be part of what is going on - if that suits you. The kitchen, laundry and bathroom are all shared with the other guests and of course you. The H...

We are both retired and live in a converted barn in about two acres of land. The nearest town is Villefranche de Rouergue which is ten kilometres away. We have lived in France long enough to appreciate what we call proper food so. we strive to vary the diet so that no main meal is repeated for at least 14 days (unless specially requested) It may be French, it may be British, or it may be a mixture of French and British and on occasions you will taste the local delicacies We are very flexible about working hours all we ask is that in return for five hours work per day, five days a week, at a time to suit yourself, we will provide you with good healthy tasty food and a private comfortable room which has TV and en-suite facilities, If you are a couple who wish complete privacy, we could provide you with a separate self-contained apartment. Must be non-smoker and we find that feeding vegans is difficult. Please note. If you want to practice your English, then we are your ideal hosts a...

Hello, We are James and Jane and we look forward to welcoming you to Seafield. While help in the garden is welcome at anytime, in 2026 we are especially looking for help from late July to late August to look after our polytunnel and keep on top of the watering and weeding. This is an opportunity for a longer stay than we usually offer. Please note - What we are offering is accommodation only in an excellent two bedroom cottage next to our house with all mod cons, full cooking facilities and wifi. Think of it as an opportunity to spend time in a self catering holiday cottage in a beautiful scenic area in exchange for help. You’ll be providing most of your food and cooking for yourselves. I will provide basic foods - a range of dry goods (rice, pasta, flour etc) in the store cupboard along with herbs, spices, cooking oil, tea, coffee, sugar, homemade jam and cake and produce from the garden when available (mostly during July to September - the season of abundance is short here) so yo...

It`s been over 10 years now that we are participating in programs like this. We never get tired of new people staying and having strangers turning into friends. Also our neighbors and others in the village enjoy the exchange. They are always up for a small talk, which is great for you to practice your German! About us: We have organic breed Wagyu Beef (the most expensive meat in the world). There are 3 Horses, a Pig, Chicken, Dogs and a bunch of Cats that are also part of the Farm. We also grow all sort of crops. Either to feed our animals or to sell them. We also grow apples, plums, pears, potatoes and many other things that grow in a garden. There is never a time during summer where u can not just go outside and eat something straight from where it grows.. Ruesselhausen is a small village. Just perfect to be in the nature. There are bikes for you to use so you can discover the surrounding nature. It would be good if you speak a little German because not all of us speak English. We...

Quiet, old wooden house in central Dunedin. Excellent location for local shops, cafes, and public transport, with the city center a 20-minute walk down the hill. House is up off the road surrounded by trees, very private. Beautiful well-established garden with lots of native plants (trees, bushes, ferns, etc.), local birdlife, and a large deck that's sunny most of the day. Up high on the hill with views out over the sea and harbour; lovely sunsets until well into the evening. Perfect for exploring Dunedin if you want a peaceful and conveniently located stay. Bilingual household with travelling and sailing experience. Looking for someone to do outside work around the house--weeding in the garden / trimming / /preparing for winter, as well as exterior house/window cleaning, and (if time allows) some light sanding/ top-up painting on trim. Guest bedroom available; you have your own space & bathroom.

I live in the Hokianga over looking the water to Horeke. This is a 46 hectare dry stock farm with mostly young beef cattle but i also have a couple of milking goats, 6 Alpacas, pigs and two riding horses and have access to a pine forest for riding. I have two working dog, 4 cats and two very friendly very small house dogs. I also have a vegetable garden, enough chickens for nice fresh eggs, home grown bananas and various other fruit if they are in season and ripe. I would like help to tend the vegetable garden, chores on the farm, there is always a great variety of chores. If you like horse riding i am looking for a confident and capable horse rider, your riding abilities and horsemanship need to be of a good standard. I ride on farmland, forest, open ground and some road and you need to not be afraid to ride out on your own. More suited to someone with a background doing fun rides, trails and hunting than schooling as they are not rocking horses. Riding out to keep their fitness...

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) Cheers Al

After an intense house renovation, we are now entering the final phase, focusing on cleaning and refreshing the house. From APRIL (for about one month), we are looking for help with PAINTING work inside and outside, as well as some light gardening tasks such as weeding. This period is ideal for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and likes to see visible results at the end of the day. From JUNE onwards, as the weather becomes warmer, the help will mainly consist of daily HOUSEKEEPING tasks (cleaning, ironing), with occasionally some light gardening. We’ve found that this experience works best for people who enjoy staying active and contributing in a practical way to daily life. We truly appreciate volunteers who bring positive energy, a hands-on mindset, and a genuine willingness to help. We are a Belgian family who has been living in France for over 20 years. In our late fifties, we speak French, Dutch, English, and a bit of Spanish. Our home is located in the beautiful r...

Hobbits are "little people" with big hearts and big bare feet firmly connected with mother earth. They habitually live "under the radar" of some PC embellished society and try all their best to not succumb to the madness of it. Claiming their birth right to nature's abundance, love, beauty and endless creativity they naturally make up to and make do with the lack of gold caused by the greedy child-eating dragon behind the bare stone mountains.. Hi, my name is Marianne. I live on a classic New Zealand all-day sunny "tree quarter acre of hobbit shire" looking down to Oamaru. If you arrive early enough at my kitchen window or even up on the jungle hill behind the cottage, you can see the sea and watch the sunrise. A 10 minute stroll down Eden Street gets you either to the CBD or to the shoreline. I am providing three basic meals per day as well as a comfortable and quiet room for your stay and to relax after our daily four hours of working together "out there", somewhere on some befitt...

Minimum 2 weeks stay! We are now accepting helpers from May 1st. for the 2026 season. We need help with firewood making this spring along with establishing the vegetable plot for the season. Hello! :-) We are Hanne 54, Kjetil 56 and Ferno 2 (dog). We have resently relocated to our new farm situatet in the lovely hills of Gausdal, a valley just Northwest of Lillehammer. We are looking forward to developing the farm to support us with all of our needs, energy (solar and hydro), food (vegetables and livestock) and building materials from the forrest. We have had the pleasure of the company of helpers on our previous farm on the westcoast of Norway and we would like to continue that tradition in our new location. We are looking for helpers with special interest in forrestry work, logging, firewood making, cooking, trditional woodworking and wood/timber construction this coming winter.

The H...

We have a vineyard, olive trees and vacation houses near Tropea in Calabria. We need a couple to help us for some week from september to june for vintage, olive harvest, gardening, general maintenance and internet announcements. In autumn, winter and spring we have a lot to do in the vineyard, with the olive trees, the house and garden. Accommodation in a full equipped chalet offered. It is better to COME WITH CAR or rent it here. We expect you to work 2 and half hours a day (16-20) hours a week. You should buy and cook your food. We are used to give local products and teach you how to prepare traditional dishes. We appreciate if you work more hours on weekends because we are at home. You have a free day in the week. If we have time, we can show you around our region and our white sandy beaches. We would be glad to welcome people from all over the world to our home. We prefer couples. Feel free to write us an Email! It's possible to contact us early, that's not a problem!

We are a Portuguese couple with experience on permaculture and self-sufficient-living that in 2015 got 15ha of abundant land in a beautiful valley and an amazing community at the highest mountains inside the biggest natural park of our country. Rita is a health-food enthusiast and loves to work with different kinds of art-craft. She likes to explore Medicinal plants, Food preservation and fermentation, Hygiene products and teaching Forest School. Walking in the nature, singing with friends and doing yoga are some of the other things she enjoys. Gonçalo is a nature lover with a passion for Permaculture and Natural Farming. Studied Organic Agronomy and has been practicing it since 2008, with the help of volunteers, interns and apprentices. He enjoys sharing and to make music with friends. Unfortunately in 2017 a massive fire went over this beautiful valley but our yurts didnt burn and all the animals survived, in the same year we were blessed with our first home-birth daughter Dana....

We...
