LOOKING FOR HELPER/S FOR 1 WEEK IN AUGUST. In return for 4 hours help a day I offer you accommodation and all meals in a sunny, warm home where you will have your own bedroom (queen size bed) and own bathroom with the added privacy of being in a separate wing of my house. My sunny home sits atop a hill from which you will have a magnificent view of the township of Blenheim to Cook Strait and the hills of the North Island beyond. Of course if you would prefer to work a full day in order to have a day off in which you could explore the nearby Marlborough Sounds, cycle the wine trails, or walk or climb on any of the formed tracks in this area, that would be just fine. My 40 ha property is a sheep/beef farm most of which is leased. I tend a large garden and care for the drive and tracks, drainage and irrigation and deal with fallen trees. It is help with this work I require.. Therefore most of the work is outdoor, constantly varied, not difficult, with some indoors work on occasions....

Summer discription: besides our work on the farm we organise international workcamps, long-term stays, and voluntary work in different companies as printery, carpentry, farming, nursery If you like to learn milking cows or driving an old tractor, cutting hedges, shear sheep, build fences or throw honey, test your strength in the muck or while digging the garden - you should join us. If you find dung and greens not so interesting, we understand :-) We are a living and working community with different workshops and bio-dynamic farming in Germany, Baden-Wuerttemberg. We are doing carpentry, printing, video production, publishing and distribution - it is always possible to help. Depending what you want to learn, you can help. We have four more than less old houses here in the village, so we also have to do a lot of construction work. The farming we do is not a business for us to earn money. We do it because we think farming is an important part in a holistic way of life. We have sheep, ...

I live between a yacht on Sydney Harbour and a house in a tall eucalyptus forest on the mid north coast of NSW, and need some assistance in working on the house and on another yacht. I'm a carpenter who worked with National Parks and Wildlife for 25 years before retiring, and live with a small dog Billy. I've had many helpers come stay over the last few years and have been lucky to have so many interesting travellers stay. My yacht, is currently on the hard at Whoota, where we are renovating her while helping with work on her. I often take helpers out sailing to see the magnificent Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House but this is not possible while she is being worked on. Yet, I hope to invite helpers out when she is back in the water. The house is located in Whoota, near Forster. It is surrounded by forest and located a 10 minute drive from pristine beaches, lakes, and bushwalks. There a lots of dolphins to see and beautiful areas to explore. The work we are doing on the house ...

Looking for Helpers right through busy summer and autumn months. Plenty going on during summer, shearing, stock work, fencing, weed control, garden tidying, lawn mowing, lots of tractor driving etc. It would be great to have some strong keen helpers to help fix fences and do some building work. Pohangina Valley is N.Z bush land at its best! Combine that with being only 30 mins drive from Feilding or Palmerston North (cinemas, theatres, restaurants, pubs etc. etc.) or a couple of hours drive to Napier, 2.5 hours to N.Z capital, Wellington. At one time, our land was used for cattle and bee keeping. These days we just have 2 delightful donkeys & 1 cheeky chicken! We also have some mahi (work) still to do before we can put our home up for sale and move onto the next chapter of our lives! We've already achieved so much, weekend after weekend, but to speed this up (& to stop our backs from breaking!) we're hoping to find a couple of Helpers! We're getting married later in the year & we would love to be almost done with sorting the whare (house) etc. by the end of this year! If you're handy with a hammer, perfect with a paintbrush and/or cool with clearing clutter, this is the place for you! We'll ensure that hot, tasty kai (food) awaits you for dinner & a snack (sandwich etc.) fo...

We live on an alternative lifestyle block with "off grid", barn living. On the property we have a small organic banana farm which uses permaculture design principles and composted food waste from City to Farm — an initiative that gathers food scraps from urban areas and delivers them to nearby farms. We have horses, dogs, chickens, and graze cattle regeneratively. For accommodation we have a big barn space which can house a lot of people comfortably. Currently one young kiwi staying there. Where possible we grow and eat our own fruit and veges from our vege garden and our small grove of fruit trees. We also have 15 acres of regenerated native bush on our property which needs tending to. Our water is supplied from rain water, and a natural spring, and the property runs on solar. Most of your work will be in the bananas, but there will also be the opportunity to work with the animals, in the bush, in the vege garden/orchard, with the compost, etc. — it depends on what needs doing and w...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Hello there, I am 40 years old and I have studied chiropractic in Wales for 4 years, I speak English, French and Italian, two years ago I got back in Sicily and I came into possession of this amazing place. The property is based in Sicily, on a promontory that faces the sea. It is an historical family house with an amazing view and a almost a tropical micro-climate. It is also possible to reach the beach by the stairs. In the first year I have used to work alone to renovate the place, and making a permaculture "EDEN" garden in a piece of family land close to home, until I discovered Helpx with which I speeded up and brought to completion several projects. We have built many, MANY synergic gardens, a green house for the winter, planted several new tropical fruit trees (mango, avocado, melarosa....) and perennials. I can accommodate 4 people in 2 apartments, that have a kitchen and bathroom facilities, I don't need help in working for the whole week, weekends are free for who will c...

At our off- grid solar, wood and gravity powered homestead you can live very close to Nature and learn by helping, how to grow your own food in the big, fully caged vegie garden/ orchard and some of how to build a bush cabin (it could be a winning strategy in years to come). We are long term, committed advocates, for climate change action and we've lived with Sustainability and Creating a low "Carbon Footprint" in mind, for 40 yrs now, settling here, (inland of Taree / Port Macquarie) from scratch in 1980, on 680 acres of rocky ridge forest on the wild and steep NW edge of the Bulga Plateau, 500m above sea level (a very beautiful but challenging location)! Watch our YouTube video below, about our community and us, made by the very talented helpxer, Louie Ablett. Three of us live here now, myself 74, David 84 and Sue 64, who started as a WWOOFer and has moved here with the help of a voluntary activity agreement through Centrelink for over 55s'. Hi Lovely Help Xchangers Looking for a host mid to late August 2026? Want to walk to surf beaches, wetlands and a lake? These are all nearby. Sometimes you can even hear the surf from your bedroom. ***Only two people together for 5 days to a week *** Mostly I have specific projects, plus some tidying and gardening. Things someone short like me can't reach or need two people take priority! I recently had both knees replaced which has a long recovery period and greatly limits my ability to do the large tasks around the house. There are always lots of small tasks, which can vary from sorting/cleaning out cupboards, car detailing, fixing things, changing lightbulbs or anything I can't reach. It depends on what your skills are. I even had one helpx couple host my birthday party, cooking and serving food and drinks which was a great success. Some of the current projects I need help with might include (depending on my current priority, your skills and how long you stay): - weeding and...

Looking for assistance NOW and from late March through summer 26. We moved north from Vancouver to escape the noise and the craziness and to find a spot to live in beauty. We found one and now are on the edge of nothing but more nothing all 400 km to the Pacific. We are 20 km outside of a small town halfway between nowhere and not much. Sharing that is a pleasure. Nearly everything we do now is in support of one thrill: adventures in food. But rural living out here in mid-nowhere means that there are endless other things to be tasked as well: construction, gardening, maintenance of many sorts, enhancing the natural beauty around us. Chances are that if you could describe a pure-fun, physical job, there would be something here I could offer that might satisfy those urges. If you want to work hard, eat marvelous meals and have a fabulous time in the gardens, the workshop and the kitchen, come join us and get a relaxing feel of rural life. PLUS, for all you thrill seekers/amateurs des s...

Would like an energetic couple or single person to help out with gardening, and housework. We would expect about 4-5 hours help a day in return for free accommodation and meals. Large bedroom and own bathroom. We have animals so, would prefer someone who enjoyed them being around. There are many wonderful places to explore in Hawkes Bay when you are not working. Fantastic cycle ways, tramping trips into the native bush areas, beaches and wonderful wineries. Prefer you to have your own car to get around and beable to see the region.

Hello Potential Volunteers My name is Paul and it was my dream to change my lifestyle from being an office worker to becoming an alpaca farmer.... here we are 14 years later with 100 alpacas, each individually cherishes with names and unique personalities, plus an assortment of other animals all needing our love :) I have three children: Liam (21), Dylan (9) and Oscar (6), and our 100-acre farm is home to approx.100 alpacas, plus llamas, peacocks, hens, mini pigs, a cat named Sexy, and our farm dog Malta. This year we are expecting 20 'cria' (baby alpacas) and each one will need our help so they can thrive! We need to ensure they get colostrum (filled with antibodies and vital for good health) – have they fed from their mums within the first 24hrs? Are they then drinking enough milk from their mums every day? Are they gaining weight? The well-being of my animals is the most important thing on the farm. Do they have good food and enough water, and the best possible natural environme...

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) , please don't come if you have a heavy cold or flu, I'm involved with the elderly. Cheers Al

**Not currently available. We are currently renovating our house and won't be available for hosting until further notice We live in the beautiful Perth hills in a scenic valley and have a five acre garden. We have two children and not enough time to manage our huge garden of fruit and ornamental trees, ponds and garden beds. We also keep chickens and have two dogs. We're looking to meet couples or singles to help us, mainly in the garden, and offer accommodation only in exchange for eight hours per person per week. We are interested in cultural exchange for us and our children. The accommodation is in a separate building from the main house and consists of a living room, bedroom, bathroom and kitchenette. This area will be exclusively yours during your stay and has it's own cooking facilities. The property has a pool and lovely outdoor garden spaces to enjoy. We are close to Armadale, but not well serviced by public transport so own transport is desirable. We do drive into Armadale ...

Hi travellers, I'm looking for help for a few days up to a week at my home by the ocean. There are always maintenance jobs for this old house, maybe some gardening, painting maybe, cleaning gutters, nothing very difficult! Meanwhile, if you need accommodation in Adelaide, my house is about 25 minutes south of the city and two minutes from the train station to get you in and out of town. It's really close to the ocean on top of a cliff and about 10 minute walk along the cliffs to get down to the most stunning beach. Another 5 min walk from there to the pub overlooking the beach. The house is amazingly different from other houses, looking like an old Queenslander with huge amount of character, recycled windows and doors, leadlights, balcony and gargoyles on the roof !!. My house is two story at the front, so your room is downstairs, slightly separate from the main living, giving you some privacy with a lovely garden to look out to. Less than 5 minutes walk to the end of my street at th...

Our names are Rick and Cath, a retired couple living in coastal Hawkes Bay in a little area known as Waimarama, near Havelock North. . We'd like to offer free accomodations in return for a couple hours help around the garden a day. Which will leave you plenty of time to explore round and enjoy many wonderful places around the Hawkes Bay area. The accomodation is a self contained cabin with cooking facilities and bathroom, just 300 meters from beach, north of Waimarama. Has a double bed (able to convert to two singles), bunks and sofa bed. Waimarama village is 4km away by road, or you can walk down the beach to the village. Havelock North and Hastings 30 and 35 minutes away. Napier is 40 mins away. We are coastal rural, off the grid on solar and tank water, with Internet available . We'd love help with general weeding in garden, weed eating, and if you're up for it a newly developing native tree area where help with planting seedlings and general care would be appreciated.

This is what we are about in a nutshell: Inner peace for a compassionate world. You will be helping us to prepare this place for residential retreat and short break visitors to open fully in 2026. We will be hosting well-being, personal-development, meditation and similar groups as well as some guests who are holidaying in the area. The group retreats operates as a community interest company. So plenty of opportunity to increase your practical skills and gain experience in renovating. We will also be hosting guests and retreats. and part of your work may be preparing rooms for their arrival. We value authenticity, integrity, honesty and self-awareness. We have put together this outline as a result of our hosting experience so far. We find that it helps to clarify what is on offer here and wha...

Hi! I'm Tonje and I moved to my farm in 2020. And there's always a lot to do here. This small farm is in a very small town, by the fjord in Hardanger. Its a good place for hiking and culture. The area is quiet and scenic. The closest cities are Odda and Bergen. The bosses of the house are 4 dogs and 3 cats. Right now I don't have any farm animals of my own. But the neighbor's sheep live here too. I would have been very grateful for various help on my small farm. The work can be very varied. But I need help with maintenance of the outdoor area, wood working, chopping firewood and snow shoveling. I also have an airbnb, so cleaning, organize and tidying jobs are also tasks that I may need help with. Help are appreciated a lot. For your help, I can offer beautiful scenery, food and a private bedroom.

My name is Victor and I have been teaching English to young people from my community for 8 years. I have a small school in downtown Tehuantepec near the market, banks, restaurants, and the tropical forest full of coconuts, bananas, and mangoes. Tehuantepec is located 20 minutes from the ocean beach community, Salina Cruz. I am located only a five minutes taxi ride from the local bus station. I am looking for one person at a time to come and work with my students, which includes conversing with my students and teaching if you are able to. My students need more practice talking to people who speak fluent and clear english. I ask for five or six hours a day working with my students and in return I offer a place for you to sleep and one meal a day and a tour around the city to show you my local culture. You can stay for a minimum one week and a maximum of two weeks, but we can make a deal if it works out and you want to stay longer I have lived here all my life and can introduce you...

We are Greg and Claire, parents of a 15-month-old baby girl and a very active 10-year-old son. We are non-owner stewards of land that has a long history as a communal farm, held by the Renaissance Charitable Trust since 1977. Our work here is currently focused on forming intentional community, improving accommodation, and restoring the farm that has been let go for many years. All the labour and love that is given to this farm goes towards paying forward the gifts, knowledge, and generosity received from those who came before us and hopefully helping the intentional community become a lively thriving and truly special place. The Community Vision: We are here to create a cooperative way of life that interweaves people with land and one another. By regenerating a small, diverse, and long-neglected farm and by transforming our relationships with ourselves, others, and the land. We aspire to create deeply fulfilling lives for ourselves and a thriving, resilient community that can inspire ...

Our home is in Shailer Park, a Southern suburb of Brisbane between the inner city and the Gold Coast. I have previous experience as a host with HelpX when I lived near Sydney in NSW. It's a quiet safe area and I need help with a gardening project, digging & levelling out soil, arranging some heavy bricks/stones and general tidying up the garden, repotting pot plants ect., plus some small handyman jobs. Most likely a 2 week job. I am a retired female. I have my own ensuite separate to the main bathroom which you will share with one other housemate plus there is an extra toilet downstairs. Help is required 4 to 5hrs per day, Monday to Friday with weekends to yourself and my swimming pool is there for all to enjoy as much as the other communal areas inside. We have the Daisy Hill Koala Centre & Conservation Park in the suburb next door, plus many walking & bicycle trails. A bus trip going North to Brisbane City Centre is about one hour & only 50 cents, and 2.15 hrs by bus, South to...

We are a group of friends who decided three years ago to restore a beautiful old village/motel in Jindabyne. We are looking for like minded individuals who are passionate about restoration/building and maintenance, love nature and have a good nature and willing to share a laugh over some good food. We have hosted people from all around the world, including all over Europe, Asia, North and South America. The motel is a 5-minute drive from local amenities such as supermarkets, shops, pubs, and a skate park. From June to September there are plenty of winter activities including skiing, tobogganing, and snowboarding at nearby ski resorts, just 30 minutes away. In summer, there are plenty of hikes, mountain biking, fishing, as well as the beach at Jindabyne Lake, Blue Lake and we are 30 minutes from the tallest mountain in Australia- Mount Koscioscko. Yarrangobilly Caves and nearby thermal pools are about one hour away. Our beautiful site features a serene river, where you can go...

Cheers Al
