Our pretty little farm is located 5 minutes from Sarina town in central QLD. We are 10 minutes from local beaches and close enough to Mackay which is a small regional city. We are also close to national parks that offer rainforest hiking and camping opportunities. We have 5 acres and are situated on the side of a mountain in beautiful bushland with lots of wildlife around. We are self-sufficient minded people and are enjoying the process of constantly learning new ideas and techniques of living happily and healthily on the land. I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

We are a retired couple who enjoy meeting new people. Myself, Philip, a retired marine engineer who enjoys working around the property with various projects on the go. My wife Kaye, a retired administration officer, enjoys knitting, needle work and doing jigsaws. We both enjoy relaxing and playing board games in the evenings. We have a steady stream of visitors to our property. We love Asian food and have spent time in South Korea Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, and Singapore. We have a separate little tiny house on wheels with access to a fully equipped kitchen for Helpers' accommodation in Kerikeri/Bay of Islands. It’s very cosy to live in. We need help with maintenance of our property (house & garden). This includes gardening, tree-trimming, clean-up, and some painting. Are you interested to be part of our projects? Good command of English or German required. Fishing from our pedal boat, kayaking, swimming and hiking are great as off-work activities here. In 2016 we have moved up north to Kerikeri to a 2+ acres life-style block. Since then we have built a large veggie garden (to enrich our carnivorous diet) and a chicken coop, a tiny house on wheels, a farmers garden and a solar power system. Maintenance and landscaping projects are always waiting for help. We are a couple, have cats and are a non-smoking household. The tiny house is very comfortable, has stunning views. It is directly on the beach of Kerikeri Inlet, so you can enjoy a swim in the morn...

We’ve recently built a wonderfully energy efficient passive solar house, complete with off-grid solar for all our energy needs, rain water collection for all our water needs, and a worm farm waste management system for natural black and grey water processing. We’ve put a lot of work in to achieve a fossil-fuel-free, all-electric, household, with as small an environmental footprint as possible. We’re also lucky to live in a beautiful rural/coastal area near Inverloch, Victoria, approximately 1 hour 45 minutes south-east of Melbourne. We are close to some of Victoria’s most famous wildlife and wilderness attractions, including the Penguin Parade at Phillip Island, the Koala Conservation Reserve, and hiking and camping at Wilson’s Promontory (not to mention numerous local beaches and fishing spots only 10 minutes away!). With our house complete, we’re now working to progress the landscaping aspects of our project. We’d be very appreciative of a helping hand or two to help complete: a na...

(La description en français se trouve plus bas !) We are a small Buddhist community living in the forest close to Sainte-Julienne, Quebec. We have an organic fruit tree nursery, along with many other projects on our land: several fruit orchards, chickens and bees, growing our own vegetables and herbs and trying to be independent in many ways. The six people who are staying are: Ajan, Eric, Veronique, Elisabeth, Natalie and Camille. Each of us have arrived here one by one, at first just interested in helping out in the place, and then as we found that this lifestyle was for us, deciding to stay for longer. For part of the year we also have a couple of employees staying with us. There is also a wonderful dog named Dali. Our organic nursery and garden occupies a land of 9 hectares, surrounded by forest. As well as the main land of the nursery, we have another smaller land where a few of us live. This is, in fact, where the community started to grow from very small beginnings in the ear...

Homestay in Southern Indiana We started hosting almost 15 years ago with idea of building a wheelchair ramp for my daughter. The engineering proved to be too difficult and expensive so the ramp was never built. (Still in search of solutions to this issue.) My daughter is grown and gone now and I’m the one who is physically fragile and in need of help. We are looking for a capable and thoughtful person (or couple) to assist with housekeeping, meal prep and organization. Age doesn’t matter nearly as much as emotional maturity, honesty, and a true desire to help change lives for the better. I want you to feel like family, like a cousin or friend who has come for a stay to stay for a while. Experience with eBay, FB marketplace and photography would be very useful. A licensed driver with a vehicle would be awesome, but not a deal breaker if you don’t have one. Projects currently in the works are - - food prep once a week & freezing ready to eat meals - learning to make cream...

We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. PLEASE NOTE WELL: we absolutely cannot host anyone with any pre-existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions), such as hay fever, any other allergies, sensitivities or intolerances. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our do...

*** Looking for 1-2 girls or a couple to assist with maintenance projects and gardening around the lodge now during May/June *** Hi there! We have a large modern house 70m from the beach in Anakiwa and 30 mins by road from Picton. There are kayaks here, excellent bush walks and a beautiful relaxed seaside environment. Hello Travelers, my home is in the Town Parry Sound, about 2 hours north of Toronto by car, or 3 hours by the Ontario Northland or Flicks buses. If you have a vehicle, parking is available. Alternatively you can try to find a "ride-share" and I will pick you up at a drop off spot or at the bus stops. We can talk by video call and I will provide a tour of the guest room and property by whatsapp video. Georgian Bay is a UNESCO wildlife reserve and is the home of many endangered species. For more information visit; http://www.parktoparktrail.com (an amazing trail connecting Parry Sound to Algonquin Park). Normally an exchange involves 20 hours a week and you have a private room and 3 meals/day. I provide ingredients and we share preparation and clean up. Helpers keep track of their hours and we negotiate a reasonable schedule, depending on the weather and events in the town. There is a pleasant, sparkling clean guest room, with a double bed. The house is on a 1/2 acre wooded lot...

We have an automotive country workshop where we fix and service cars, 4WDs, trailers, tractors and all sorts of machinery. In our spare time we look after our little farm, some sheep, some cattle and rabbits. We also have a forest where we work and tidy up occasionally. So we are always in need of a couple of helpful hands to support us. We love to get to know different cultures and people. We grow our own meat, fruit and vegetables. Gustav also brews his own beer and makes wine and cider and lately also green tea. A mature, non-smoking, self-organized person, preferable not a vegetarian, to give us a hand with house and land, would fit best into our lifestyle. You will have to join into our daily routines: breakfast is at around 7am and then we feed all the animals, especially the hungry dogs and work starts at 8am. We need to get everyone organized before customers arrive in the workshop. We expect about 4 hours work per day and we offer a nice room with a lovely warm bed, gr...

We are a mature aged couple working from home and are looking to find an enthusiastic couple, or single person, who can help with general garden maintenance , eg weeding, spraying blackberries and wood splitting etc. In return, we are offering a private room and own bathroom ( see in photos below) in our lovely home. Accomodation and all meals are provided. ( free wi-fi is also available). We are in a quiet and secluded bush setting, and often have kangaroos and wallabies feeding on our property, but still only 3km from the main highway and station. (Melb CBD is 1 hour via train.) It is essential that you are a dog lover! (We have 2) Our 2 Whippets are quite old now, but very friendly and lazy! This would be an excellent opportunity for anyone requiring 2 weeks of accommodation, possibly longer, to share our easy going family life style. We are DEFINITELY a NON SMOKING household, and would prefer not to cater for vegetarians only. The work involves weeding, moving mulch, splitting...

We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week. I would be very happy to welcome volunteer teachers who are willing to help at my school for two or three months, or even for a full semester. *I want the volunteers who work at my school to not feel like they are working. I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site.

This is a Standardbred Race Horse (Harness Racing) farm at the foot of Tamborine Mountain. Located 45 minutes from Brisbane in the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland. The closest train station is Beenleigh. Your own car is a plus. We welcome working holiday visa holders with good horse experience and most importantly a passion for horses !! In order to learn your daily task, routine and horses personalities, we will ask you to stay a minimum of 3 weeks. Long stays are really welcome.

We have an automotive country workshop where we fix and service cars, 4WDs, trailers, tractors and all sorts of machinery. In our spare time we look after our little farm, some sheep, some cattle and rabbits. We also have a forest where we work and tidy up occasionally. We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane.
