We live on a beautiful 2-hectare property in Buderim on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast. Only a 15 minute drive from the beach, the property has a relaxed, semi-rural feel, with areas of rainforest, a dam, open gardens and plenty of native wildlife. We regularly see birds and other local animals around the property, including kangaroos. The house is large, open and comfortable, with plenty of space to relax, as well as a swimming pool. Buderim is a great base for exploring the Sunshine Coast, with beaches, national parks, walking trails and local towns all within easy reach. Since 2012, hundreds of volunteers from many countries have helped our projects. We are very grateful for their help and many have become our good friends and come back for a second, third or even fourth visit! In 2020 I started a new project in a town in Northern Ireland. The building is a former back-packers hostel which we are gradually turning into campus. that focuses on peacebuilding education. Our aim is "to creatively and sensitively explore the resistances to peacebuilding - knowing that such resistance can resource transformation". We are not a commercial business, but a “not-for-profit” that is run by volunteers. We have three types of volunteers. 1. The farm is well established, as most tree planting was done between 1996 and 2000, and the tree crops are well maintained and productive. Murrnong has a large established fruit and nut orchard, an olive grove, vegetable gardens, chickens, milking goats, bees, forestry for shelter and timber, and large dam for irrigation and swimming. Our house is made of timber and mud brick, and we catch our own water.
