Hi Folks, We are ready to go for the Spring season, we would really appreciate some extra help with gardening, house painting, small building jobs etc. Our home was built in 1877. It's big with five bedrooms, four bathrooms and has a tennis court, swimming pool, sauna, a small cinema, Babyfoot table and a giant pool / snooker table and a lovely river and a great swing bridge too. We also have chickens and our cat Cous Cous. Your bedroom is private, big and has a queen size bed, desk, chairs, WiFi and Netlix. You also have your own private toilet and shower. We provide and cook all your meals (which often include meat....). In exchange if you can put in a mornings hard work we would be very grateful. We normally work 4 to 4.5 hrs a day, finishing at lunchtime. I am a retired restaurateur and Julia imported leather for furniture and footwear. We have travelled extensively and enjoy swapping stories.... Join us for a game of cards or a movie in the evenings. Get in touch and see ...

Well-established Permaculture property with orchard, garden and animal systems located ten minutes from Noosa and seven minutes from (famous) Eumundi Markets. (But public transport VERY poor in this area - see note at the end) Dave is a past Permaculture Teacher and therefore only interested in working with people keen to increase their knowledge of Permaculture systems. We are a laid-back but hard working couple who enjoy the "good life" in all its simplicity. We practice regenerative agriculture (using many chickens) and focus on cover crops as well as adding micro-organisms to our soil.a We are looking for a single person or happy couple, with practical skills and a focus on wanting to grow their own food/becoming self-sufficient, to assist with gardening, care of our animals, DIY tasks and improvements to the our system. We can offer accommodation, Permaculture teaching and two meals/day (what we normally eat; plus access to our caravan with gas burner & fridge space) for mini...

We live on seven acres with various gardens, a greenhouse and many fruit trees, in Te Kamo on the outskirts of Whangarei. A great base to explore further North and our stunning coast. Our property is on the lower slopes of Hurupaki Māunga (mountain) with beautiful mature native forest and walking tracks. Work is four hours daily (flexible) and may include gardening, tree care, weeding, planting, building maintenance and many other projects. It is also expected that you help with household chores, cooking, cleaning etc as if you are one of the family. We prefer longer stays and the minimum time is one week (7 days of helping). Kerrin is a flax weaver and grows many flax bushes. There may be an opportunity for you to learn some traditional Māori weaving with Kerrin in her studio. Accommodation is your own room in our large home, where you will join in family activities with us. Food is largely organic, and we eat well, a bit of everything. Vegetarians are welcome, as well as meat eaters....

My house is in Tempe, Sydney, a handy suburb to experience Sydney. We are just 9 minutes by train to the Sydney Centre and Bondi Junction another 11 minutes further on. The airport is a short 12 minutes to nearby Wolli Creek Station. The city and trendy Newtown and Marrickville are nearby and easily accessible by bus. I have been fortunate to have amazing Helpx helpers who have helped me transform my garden and house over the past 10 months. The only job still needed is wall tiling, concreting the sandstone paving into place and a very small amount of painting. As with most old houses there is always ongoing maintenance needed. In addition, i have listed a self-contained one bedroom flat on AirBnB so help with changeover of bedding and cleaning would be helpful. I work from home for 3 days per week and 2 days in the office. I offer accommodation, and while I offer food when I'm cooking it isn't part of the exchange. There are 2 supermarkets nearby and you have access to your own are...

Kia ora and welcome. We have a 20-acre, bush-clad lifestyle block on the beautiful Tutukaka coast, which National Geographic calls the second most beautiful coastline in the world. There are 10 beaches within 10 minutes of our property - swimming beaches, a surfing beach, fishing places, as well as lovely bush walks close to the property. There's just the two of us, Wayne's a landscaper with many practical skills and I'm a writer. We recently built our house and are developing the property - including a great pool where we swim every day. We offer accommodation and three meals for four hours of help a day. We're flexible with that though, so if you want to take a day relaxing at the beach or a trip out to NZ's oldest marine reserve, the Poor Knights islands, you could work six hours one day and have a full day off the next. The boat trip to the marine reserve leaves from Tutukaka, 5 mins away - the snorkelling is fantastic!. Accommodation is a spacious private guest room with its o...

My name is Patrick, and I live with my two children (15,18) in a classic “Founding Time - 1903” 13-party house, located within walking distance of the center of Vienna. The project involves transforming our current house into a showcase for circular economy / building renovation and extension. As you can imagine, this requires skills and assistance from various disciplines and perspectives, ranging from conceptual to hands-on work. The project encompasses at least three main areas: 1) Planning for a house greening tower-terrace 2) Installing photovoltaic panels on the roof 3) Renovating the attic and house terrace And of course Assistance with various tasks around this. You will have the opportunity to stay in a separate apartment with a kitchen, shower, and toilet. Currently, this space serves as a workshop, which is the base for transforming the entire house. The house is full of young students from various mostly European countries. You can explore Vienna, its diverse culture f...

Update, possible accommodation available for kiwifruit staff. My caravan is available, not fancy but clean & waterproof. I'm a beekeeper in need of assistance, either with the bees directly or not. I'm located 16km South of Te Puke on a property that has a back boundary of native forest. I'm usually able to host people at any time of year, but am busiest in the spring. I currently have building projects happening, as well as lots of painting, waxing new bee frames, and also hands on beekeeping for anyone who is keen. I also keep sheep and cattle on the property here, and hunt deer and pigs in the forest. These grass and forest fed animals form a large part of the menu here, so vegetarians probably won`t be happy with the diet. I cater to lots of herbivores and they all have hooves or paws. The accommodation is a spare room in the house. The house is a late 1800s villa in need of replacement, but it keeps the weather out and I find it comfortable. Housework isn't high on my priority ...

Would like an energetic couple or single person to help out with gardening, and housework. We would expect about 4-5 hours help a day in return for free accommodation and meals. Large bedroom and own bathroom. We have animals so, would prefer someone who enjoyed them being around. There are many wonderful places to explore in Hawkes Bay when you are not working. Fantastic cycle ways, tramping trips into the native bush areas, beaches and wonderful wineries. Prefer you to have your own car to get around and beable to see the region.

Looking for a couple to look after our house and animals over Christmas and NY. If you’re interested get in touch and we can discuss dates. Thanks My partner and I own a 40 acre lifestyle farm in remote Central Otago about 35 minutes from Alexandra, 1.5h from Queenstown and Wanaka. The little settlement is very beautiful and reflects the history of the area. We have 6 horses, 2 donkeys and a few cows as well as a dog. We can accommodate up to 2 people and are looking for some help with weed control/gardening and a bit of building where required. We’re renovating an old cottage so if you have building or carpentry skills that’s a bonus. Of course there will be some fun and horse riding will be part of the exchange to! We preferred length of stay is a week or more but we’re pretty flexible on this. Cheers Jamie and Thomas

Looking for Helpers right through busy summer and autumn months. Plenty going on during summer, shearing, stock work, fencing, weed control, garden tidying, lawn mowing, lots of tractor driving etc. It would be great to have some strong keen workers to help fix fences and do some building work. We need help with stock work, general farming tasks, gardening, cooking etc. We're 40 minutes from Nelson, 15 minutes from Motueka. It's an idyllic rural setting with excellent access to rivers, mountains, mountain biking, Abel Tasman & Kahurangi National Parks etc. with easy access to some of the best fly fishing rivers in NZ (and the world!) Hi, my name is Marianne. I live on a classic New Zealand "tree quarter acre section" on a north facing (all day sun) hobbit hill, looking down to Oamaru and from my kitchen window or climbing up the jungle hill behind the cottage, you can see the sea and watch the sunrise. A 10 minute stroll down Eden Street gets you either to the CBD or to the shoreline. I am fully committed to provide three basic meals per day as well as a comfortable and quiet room for your stay and to relax after our daily four hours of working together "out there", somewhere on some befitting project. Five years of my absence have caused damages to house and garden physically and spiritually. In the effort to restore the above, I re-discovered HelpX for finding spirited support for all sorts of quirky and needed manifestations of beautiful visible and touchable things. Despite the incomplete, overgrown outside, with my freshly painted double bed guest room and a completely renovated lounge, I am happy to open m...

(La description en français se trouve plus bas !) We are a small Buddhist community living in the forest close to Sainte-Julienne, Quebec. We have an organic fruit tree nursery, along with many other projects on our land: several fruit orchards, chickens and bees, growing our own vegetables and herbs and trying to be independent in many ways. The six people who are staying are: Ajan, Eric, Veronique, Elisabeth, Natalie and Camille. Each of us have arrived here one by one, at first just interested in helping out in the place, and then as we found that this lifestyle was for us, deciding to stay for longer. For part of the year we also have a couple of employees staying with us. There is also a wonderful dog named Dali. Our organic nursery and garden occupies a land of 9 hectares, surrounded by forest. As well as the main land of the nursery, we have another smaller land where a few of us live. This is, in fact, where the community started to grow from very small beginnings in the ear...

Tim and I moved to our little farm seven years ago and are spending our time developing a garden and planting trees. We joined Landcare to give us extra knowledge about the local trees and wildlife that need protecting. Tim is a retired engineer, so is enjoying developing the infrastructure around the place and I am a creative arts teacher and still working on-line at an Australian university. I have planted a large fragrant rose garden with 400 bushes and would like to make rose water and rose oil eventually. We have an organic fruit and vegetable garden with many fruit trees and a variety of vegetables. Our dam is well stocked with yabbies and we are within easy walking distance of the Murray River for fishing. We require help with planting, weeding and general development of our property. It is not-for-profit farm and we enjoy being able to share our produce with family and friends. Our house is clean and bright and comfortable with separate bathroom facilities for guests. ...

General work around the home with lots of palm leaves but more importantly fun socialising and exchanging experiences. We have the most interesting island just in our backyard visitors should allow some time to visit it, it can be costly if you wish to hire a 4w drive but the experience is amazing. We are both migrants to this beautiful country and we enjoy sharing our experience with you, we speak English, French and German We are on the coast and the weather here is the best in the world.

We are celebrating OUR 25th Anniversary (1999) and OUR Ecovillage's team is looking towards a creative and fun season of committed volunteers who wish to work within a collective project opportunity. We are working on the next 25yr Vision and with this are building a very large public art installation project (earthen/cob Dragon sculpture with lots of mosaic work!). Folks love to be with the land, work in transformational personal journey work as we weave ourselves into the Collective, work with research teams on soil/wastewater/energy systems design/etc, and permaculture education projects with learners from local to global! This means we are working with: the gardens, livestock/poultry, food forests, natural building (earthen, strawbale, plaster projects, finishing work, carpentry, etc), food preservation, yummy kitchen crafting for shared meals, mosaic work, supporting guests onsite....and so much more! Creating a mutually supportive 'attitude of gratitude' is what makes for an...

If you would like to enjoy some time in Christchurch and Banks Peninsula and are good with your hands, then contact us. We could use some extra help on our hillside garden in Christchurch (bikes available) and on our hillside garden at our seaside retreat in Akaroa Harbour (kayaks available). Guests have a separate bathroom with shower. The work is mainly weeding and tree maintenance, but also a possible range of tasks and projects, such as painting, or anything that might match your skills. If you are friendly, honest, willing, flexible, and practical, welcome to our slice of New Zealand. We have both travelled widely and enjoy exercise, books, ideas and people, and we would enjoy both sharing our NZ with you and learning about your culture. Both locations have great hiking trails which we enjoy, and we would be happy to show them to you. We would like 4 hours of help per day in exchange for accommodation and meals. Wifi available. Our locations probably suit someone with a car/trans...

This is a language cafe is designed for those who are willing to meet Korean locals and the ones from overseas. We provide them with the time and the place to meet and get to know each other while have conversations in English. I know from my experience that travelling or staying in other countries is not just doing sightseeing but experiencing the real life there. Here we try to bond them together as friends. If you are looking for something that can give you a chance to meet locals and to be mingled with them, this would be the best option for you. About the program : This is about the language practice and sharing their cultures, experiences and the thoughts. As long as you are an easygoing person to talk, open-minded and fluent in English, you can join us. As we are NOT looking for English teachers, it really doesn't matter which country you're from and you don't have to teach but have a conversation in English. And basically it is a 2 way conversation so you don't have to ta...

We have horses along with loads of other animals and can offer a sleep out for privacy and comfort. 3 children who are 12 and 8 year old twins. In exchange for the above we would love someone who is able to help around the property and teach us how to cook a few traditional meals. My kids would love to learn words from different language.

Our family of 4 (2 kids - 16 & 18 years old) live on a beautiful sheep and beef farm with large woodland garden and organic vegetable garden. We need help with stock work, general farming tasks, gardening, cooking etc. We're 40 minutes from Nelson, 15 minutes from Motueka. It's an idyllic rural setting with excellent access to rivers, mountains, mountain biking, Abel Tasman & Kahurangi National Parks etc. with easy access to some of the best fly fishing rivers in NZ (and the world!) There's 4-6 hours work per day depending on tasks. Plenty of flexibility to work full days and have plenty of time off to explore. Please be aware you may get hot, wet, muddy, dusty and dirty but rest assured ...

Hi, my name is Marianne.

Our house is clean and bright and comfortable with separate bathroom facilities for guests. ...

Bienvenu chez nous! We have what is called here in Australia a granny flat, it is comfortable and private. General work around the home with lots of palm leaves but more importantly fun socialising and exchanging experiences. I have given selfdefence classes to all our helpx friends and they were all very pleased with that.
