On the property we have a small organic banana farm which uses permaculture design principles and composted food waste from City to Farm — an initiative that gathers food scraps from urban areas and delivers them to nearby farms. We have horses, dogs, chickens, and graze cattle regeneratively. For accommodation we have a big barn space which can house a lot of people comfortably. Currently one young kiwi staying there. Where possible we grow and eat our own fruit and veges from our vege garden and our small grove of fruit trees. We also have 15 acres of regenerated native bush on our property which needs tending to. Our water is supplied from rain water, and a natural spring, and the property runs on solar. Meals will be vegetarian, happy to accommodate vegans as well! We live on a one acre piece of property in the beautiful Cowichan Bay, a quaint seaside village. The area has lots of beautiful hiking swimming and biking, farmers markets and is a close 45 minute drive or bus to Victoria. We have a 1/8th acre organic veggie garden and are looking to expand/grow. We are looking for help in the garden as well as any help with the rest of the land including support fencing or putting up structures, house painting etc. We are also interested in someone who would like to help with kiddos/help them do chores. He's a sweetie! We speak English and Malay, enjoy traveling, play lots of board games, and love the beautiful outdoors in the Bay of Plenty. We are actively looking for 1-2 people to help out with some house cleaning and light gardening. The house cleaning is washing floors, walls and windows and the gardening is mostly weeding and then some planting of flowers and vegetables. Our yard is very small, so it's not too much work.
