Hi! 😊 I’m looking for a friendly volunteer to join me in Sweden and help out with a few home-and-life projects — while also having an amazing Scandinavian adventure. 🌿 Where you could stay (3 options!) Depending on when you arrive, there are three possible locations: 1) My countryside villa in the Stockholm archipelago (Vaxholm area) This is the main place — surrounded by nature and water, and only 45–60 minutes by bus from Stockholm city. Even better: you can take a boat straight into central Stockholm in about 75 minutes — it’s one of the most beautiful trips you can do, island-hopping through the archipelago. 2) My apartment in central Stockholm Perfect if you want city life, cafés, museums, and nightlife nearby. 3) My house in northern Sweden — “The High Coast” This area is stunning and wild. In the right season you can often see the Aurora Borealis, and in winter there’s great skiing. ☀️ Summer life is seriously good here In summer, you can enjoy free swimming, canoeing, ...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. PLEASE NOTE WELL: we absolutely cannot host anyone with any pre-existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions), such as hay fever, any other allergies, sensitivities or intolerances. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our do...

Our next availability is from the start of September. We are looking for a *female* native French speaker who is good with children. Tasks will include looking after our children while teaching them French, housework, helping to prepare our Airbnb accommodation and farmwork. For September and October, we could host someone who is not interested in helping on the farm. The main help needed is with the kids so we are looking for someone who has experience with kids and is patient and engaging. Our preference would be to host someone who could stay for at least 2 months. 🐑 🐎 🐑 🐎 Helpers will work for 6 hours per day 5 days a week in return for food and accommodation. 🐑 🐎 🐎 🐑 Our farm is in the north-west of Ireland, in County Sligo. As well as horses and sheep, we have two alpacas, a pig, two dogs, two cats and some chickens! 🐎 Accommodation will be provided in a mobile home on the farm. It can be cold in winter so may be unsuitable for someone who feels the cold easily. Wi...

Nearby is a city called Altus of 19,000 people with stores, bars, restaurants and entertainment. You are invited to our place, either just to visit or to stay and help out. We have 4 bedrooms for travelers and helpers in our guest house available for you (can accommodate probably up to 10 people) and there is also a game room, swimming pool (in the summer) and basketball court on the property. We also have campgrounds with a fire pit and tents. We would like help with cleaning of guest rooms, cooking, painting of walls and murals, some light construction work (very simple, you don't need to know anything), fixing bicycles for the neighborhood kids as well as maintaining the pool (in the summer). We have been doing this for about 15 years now and had guests from all over the world stay with us. We can show you around this part of Oklahoma and you are welcome to expl...

This is a traditional family-owned farm which, after years of abandonment, is currently being re-imagined as a sustainable and environmentally-conscious community. Located just 3km from the beach, where the Pampa plain meets the rugged coastline of the Argentinian Atlantic. We are passionate about agriculture, surfing, music, travel, nature and the environment, who want to create a communal space where people from around the world can come to learn about sustainable living and ecological ideals; share delicious organic food from the gardens; surf; tell stories; share knowledge, ideas, culture and language; learn about farming, the environment, or just relax and enjoy the farm and surrounds. The project is in its early stages and we are looking for energetic and responsible individuals wanting to experience and contribute to rural life and communal living close to nature. We are looking for self-motivated individuals to help us out with daily tasks such as helping in the kitchen, kee...

My Father's Vision! Music, Mountains, and Off-Grid Homesteading About Us: Welcome to our slice of Appalachian heaven! In 2002, my senior veteran father began building this homestead with a grand vision: creating a thriving, off-grid ecotourism hub and primitive campground that celebrates the rich, local "hillbilly" and bluegrass culture. From hosting lively community festivals to carving out a beautiful space in nature, this land has a massive heart. As my dad has gotten older, I recently moved down from Pennsylvania to step in, help him out, and keep his dream alive. While I am incredibly eager to learn and full of energy, I don’t yet have the deep homesteading or construction experience required to finish what he started. With limited income and my dad's advancing age, it’s a beautiful challenge for the two of us to get this property entirely completed and fully self-sufficient. That is where you come in! What We Are Building & Doing: We operate as a primitive campground with a f...

We live in a nature sanctuary on Corfu island in Greece. we are a COMMUNITY of PLANTS, ANIMALS AND HUMAN BEINGS, who try to live together IN THE SPIRIT OF NATURE. we are organized similar to a zen monastery. yet we are not affiliated to any religious body, but to the holy body of our mother earth. the earth takes care of us. the earth gives to us what we need. she gives us and she for-gives us – she never asks for money… we admire the communities in nature (ecosystems), where all members balance their needs and gifts in a healthy way, without money, without machines and without chemicals. here in NATURE’S SANCTUARY we try to live in harmony with nature. we try to support and protect all our nature brothers and sisters, who share this sanctuary with us… it is a CHALLENGE TO LIVE IN HARMONY WITH NATURE. it is a challenge to protect and support all nature beings in a way, that they have the chance to live in their own natural born communities. we are looking for people, who want to take...

I can't see the world, but the world can come see me. First and foremost, I want to thank all the helpers who came from United Kingdom-England, France, Belgium, Italy, China, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. Welcome Helpers. We are a family of 5 living in the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia. Sue is the founder of this place. Her daughter Ruth moved to the Hollow later as well as her husband Tim and their 2 daughters. Our hollow is quite with no neighbors in sight. There are no city lights, and you can see every star on a clear night! Our homestead consists of Sue's workshop/cabin, Tim & Ruth's cabin and one very small guest cabin. Also, there is a private guestroom with private entrance on the second floor above the workshop/cabin combination. . We have a lot you can be involved in, knowledge to share, friendships to build, and opportunities for growth. Below are our routines and some projects. We would love to involve you! - Caring for our honey bees, chickens, cats...

We are a pretty colourful bunch of nice people composed of an austrian and a middle east family and long standing international friends. Actually living here permanently: Feri (1982), Lise (1975) and the children Layla (2013) and Aisha (2015) and other family members are coming regularly to see us to enjoy the time together and preparing a mix of delicious oriental-european-food! Same as a lot of different visitors (friends, helpers, family) from all over the world are enjoying this place of meeting and exchange. The Mission: We are living the dream on a 150-year-old estate in a stunning water protection area, but to be honest—last year was a...

We are a cultural and arts community that is working towards being self-sustained. The community is situated in the mountains of Monchique, Portugal surrounded by nature. Our community provides an alternative way of living with permaculture gardens, farm animals, sustainability projects, and arts and cultural workshops. It is a great place to come to meet other like-minded people if you are passionate about sustainability and alternative living. We hold community meetings throughout the week alongside activities and workshops, such as quiz nights, dance nights and yoga classes. If you have something you are passionate about and want to share with others, we would love for you to run a workshop. One of the best things here is the variety of tasks you can do as a volunteer, which gives you the opportunity to learn new skills and discover what you enjoy doing most. We have a combination of short-term and long-term volunteers and on average we have between 10 to 20 volunteers and resident...

We are a small theatre company and during the summer months we run a small hotel, Hotell Vagabond, in Abbekås at the south coast of Sweden. It is a unique hotel where visitors live in genuine Gypsy Wagons. The house is an old school with a theatre, restaurant and a gallery. In July and August we need help with running our hotel. This basically means cleaning and preparing the wagons in the morning and help as a waiter in our small restaurant some of the evenings. Occasionally we also have some cultural events during this period and need some help also with this. This is a quite fun places to be at and if you are an open minded person the chances are good you'll have a great time here. We have a dog, Dusty, so it's good if you like animals – as well as people...!

I am looking for people that are passionate about dogs and like to spend time and work with dogs. A pack of 24 huskies is something different than having a pet dog at home. You will be able to join our animal assisted programs with kids and young adults and learn about it. I am educated in dog physiotherapy as well and there is the possibility to learn in this field as well. Beside the main topic the huskies we have bee hives and produce our own honey. There is a big garden with fruits and vegetables that needs maintainance. To sum it up our work here is mainly outdoors with nature and animals. Every day is different so its not possible to give you a long term daily structure in advance. There are some everyday tasks in the dogcare but the rest of the work depends on the weather and the season. As we live in a small village the main freetime activities are biking and hiking. More freetime options you find in cities around in your days off. Vienna is quite close and its possible to ta...

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . This would involve some spring cleaning tasks and helping with a smallish adults party...including food & drink prep (nothing overly fancy), decorating the venue and setting up (and maybe help run) some fun games, serving food/drinks and heating the food up on the night, and being responsible for cleaning the space at the end of the night (packing down trestle tables, stacking chairs, sweeping, vacuuming, putting rubbish and recycling out, turning off heaters/lights and locking up. If you enjoy taking photos that would be a bonus too (but not essential). If you are not able to help with the party (15th August) please let me know what dates you are available to help. See below for details on the other projects in would love help for. I’m happy to host individuals, couples, or small groups of friends/families—just let me know what works for you! I love...

Offering comfortable accommodation in a natural environment in exchange for general help with mainly outdoor projects - tell us your skills and interests and we'll probably have a project to match! Looking for help year round, happy to offer one to two weeks at a time with longer stays possible after we've got to know each other a little. Your own vehicle is essential as we do not have any public transport routes available. Us: We are a relaxed couple who enjoy the quiet life. Vicki works 3 days/week from home, when she's away from her desk you'll most likely find her in the veggie garden or the kitchen. Countryside, near Atlántida, Uruguay. We’re a mature couple who work in the city and live on a small farm - a peaceful retreat from the urban rush. Our companions are a few horses and dogs. Most of them came to us from the rescued shelter and in poor condition. With time, care, and patience, we’ve helped them heal. Our farm isn’t a commercial venture; it’s simply a quiet, cozy place to live close to nature. We’re looking for a reliable helper - someone who’s interested in staying with us long-term. What we offer: - Private accommodation in a converted sea container, fully equipped with a gas stove, shower, refrigerator, and other essentials. - Groceries provided - you prepare your own meals. - Free internet access (limited). We can also offer guidance and support with the residency application process for those who wish to stay long-term. If you’re over 25, love animals, enjoy farm life, and consider yourself hardworking, responsible, and adaptable - we’d be happy to welcome you. ...

Hello, my name is Florent, I'm 45 years old, I was a chef for about twenty years, and since 2017 I've been a spirulina producer. Spirulina is a microalga that's very rich in nutrients. It's a very environmentally friendly crop, requiring little energy and no pesticides. Spirulina needs sun and warmth to grow. The harvest season in our region runs from April to October, and it's during this period that I'm interested in hosting someone (I don't need two people at the same time, one is enough). Normally, I already have people helping me until the end of august, so I'm looking for someone from beginning of september. I mainly need someone to help me harvest the spirulina but also sometimes to help me out on the farm with various tasks, as we do everything ourselves: cleaning, labeling, packaging, general maintenance and odd jobs, and also everything else that goes along with the spirulina production: clearing brush, chopping wood, going to markets from time to time, house constructi...

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

Wi...

I am a principal of a primary school. We have so far 35 foster kids and we would love to have volunteers in our small organisation and at our school. We welcome visitors here and if you want, we can pick you from the airport Entebbe and you can just pay the fuel or when you are already in Uganda and you want to come to Masaka, we can pick you from the bus park in Masaka for free. So whoever is ready to come is welcome. Due to the inflation and rise of prices of things in Uganda, we will always charge 15 dollars per night, this includes accommodation, local meals, wishing clothes, Water bills, Electricity bills and other simple things that you need help like taking you to town and move around to the place like Lake Nabugabo and for internet use at home.

We live in a fun share house in Maryborough, Marry Poppins Town, with awesome meals and a big edible garden. We're Mars, the owner of the property and former owner of multiple language schools and Tracy, a former theatre/restaurant owner who's cooking the most awesome meals and looking after everyone like a mum. There're 2 adorable dogs in the family, so you must be a dog lover. Also 6 chicken and 2 ducks, so we always have fresh eggs. We need help with building and creating, and with an awesome edible garden. We're about to put 12v solar power into the rooms, also natural air-conditioning and are finishing up the spa bath in the 2nd bathroom... so there's a bit for you to learn and lots of knowledge to take home. We like to work with fun, laughter, music and love to see you letting a bit of your craziness out. Be yourself and join the family... We have had many awesome experiences with travellers so far 😃. Please note that there's a minimum of 1 week stay, we do not like to ...

I am currently looking for a couple (or 2 or 3 friends) who would be able to stay for around a week starting around 9th August.

Al is retired and spends most days doing odd jobs around the property and tackling larger projects from time to time. Vicki works 3 days/week from home, when she's away from her desk you'll most likely find her in the veggie garden or the kitchen. We enjoy lots of "homesteading" activities including breadmaking and preserving, herbal medicine, soap making and general crafts. Al is trying to learn the didgeridoo and hoping to have more time for painting and drawing and Vicki enjoys curling up with a good ...
