Hello. I’m Paul, a retired musician. I live in a mountain area made of rounded, wooded peaks in the inland of the Italian Riviera, at the point of connection between two regions, Tuscany and Liguria, widely renown for art towns (Pisa, Lucca, Florence among others) and picturesque fishing villages. It’s a quiet setting to get away from it all, with a 360 degree view stretching for tens of miles and right down to the Mediterranean Sea, only 25 km/15 miles away. Here is where the Alta Via (High Route of the Ligurian Mountains) starts, a long-distance waymarked hiking trail for nature lovers. I speak Italian (native), English (fluent) and French (fluent). I’m looking for calm-natured volunteers who are self-motivated and good with their hands, willing to help me with general maintenance around my property in exchange for food and lodging in a friendly environment. I appreciate a baggage of life experience that is not too small, so volunteers in their mid to late twenties at least and in...

Summer is coming rhymes with sheep are leaving. A big part of the flock goes to the mountains to enjoy the grass up there. But few will have to stay with us. Amount them, lambs who’ll need to be bottle fed (and cuddled because it’s way nicer that way!). So we would need some volunteers to take care of the cutties left here. We’ll also to start preparing some stuff in the farm so we could be ready when the sheep will come back in September. And of course, take time to enjoy the surrounding and chill in hot springs! Message us on WhatsApp or on HelpX. My WhatsApp number is above. Send me (Caroline, who runs the HelpX) a message! You can also message the farmer directly via the Facebook link below, named after Beggi the farmer's cat! Profile picture is of a cat as well! Where to start? We are a family in the western part of Iceland, at the gates of the Westfjords, Beggi runs the sheep farm. We have more than 500 sheep and all possible trouble that can be connected to sheep: fixing fen...

I, Christine, (63) am living with my daughter Bess (23) on an urban block. I am maintaining the vegetable garden and the house by myself. I occupy with her one of the three buildings on the property. The corner block is in a suburb of Maryborough. There are 3 public parks surrounding us and we are close to the Mary River. There are lots of kangaroos to observe in these parks. We are only 30 min by car from the ocean in Hervey Bay. I love to cook and have good conversations around the dinner table.. I offer for single or couple a bedroom with bathroom, The tasks: Depending on the season the vegetable garden needs topping up soil and mulch, weeding, some trimming of hedges, some maintenance on the house like painting some areas outside (wooden Queenslander), maintaining the gutters and cleaning various areas. Depending on your skills there are more complex tasks available. To spell it out after some not so nice experiences: In exchange for food and accommodation each helper is requi...

After 16 years, and hosting almost 100 HelpXers, at our property in Larnook, in the Northern Rivers region, Steve and I have moved to a new place in Tenterfield, at the northern end of the New England Tableland. All of our reviews up until September 2024, are related to our previous place. We are now ready to accept HelpXers at our new place. Steve and I are a gay couple and we offer a high quality experience (as you can see from our reviews) and so we expect our Helpers to pitch in and help. The more you put into your time here at Tenterfield, the more you will get out of it. We have lots of small work jobs at present including lots of weeding and gardening, mowing, establishing herb and vege gardens, pruning and cutting back and some other work. Our property is situated a few kilometers west of the town of Tenterfield, in a quiet, rural area. Hi fabulous help-xers! We have an opportunity for a couple, or a small group of helpx to come for a week, or two weeks at a time. We are looking for help with the following; landscaping, weeding, spraying, limbing up trees, spraying down and washing outside of buildings, washing windows, gardening and general maintenance around the property. Hello helpers I need helpers right now! If you would like us to host you, please read all our profile and wonderful references first. Minimum age 25. We prefer couples, but will consider singles, especially if DIY/gardening skills are involved! WHO WE WOULD LIKE TO HOST: Strong, energetic people, over 25 yrs of age. DIY, semi-skilled, skilled, and/or gardening/housework. MUST BE HAPPY TO DO GARDENING TASKS. Helpers will need to be confident using a self-propelled mower (not a ride-on), a light weight hedge trimmer, and a strimmer, etc. The work is all physical, (no heavy lifting), and helpxers need to be completely ok with that, as well as happy to work on your own quite a bit. General help for cleaning and gardening, washing vehicles, etc. A can-do attitude is good! We can show you how to do stuff, sometimes do stuff with you or leave you to do it alone if you're confident. Hi you young and beautiful travelers, Bundaberg is a less known touristic town, with a mild climate, beautiful beaches and wonderful surroundings. It is also an agricultural country town with many backpackers hostels . With a bit of lack there might be opportunities for paid work on a farm. It’s only 350km north of Brisbane and easily reachable by train. My home is only a few minutes drive from the town center, yet secluded and peaceful, sitting on 2.5 acres. I am looking for people who would like to visit this promising coastal town and help with general house and backyard maintenance, around 4 -5 hours a day, 6 days a week. The person helping me will have a home away from home and a cosy room to rest in. I am hoping he/she will treat the place with respect and consideration, observing the few requirements related to the use of bathroom and kitchen. Otherwise, regretfully, we will have to part ways sooner then expected. A good home cooked meal and an occasional glass of wine is...

Hello everyone! My name is Bird, I was working in Chiang-Mai as a photographer for 2 years then decided to become a farmer and create a Thai traditional agriculture permaculture farm in 2018. I wish to create a relaxing place that allows people from all over the world to take their time to experience life in harmony with nature. I also have four water buffalo on our farm, named Tony, Laura, Hanna and Charlie. We are a local family with a desire to preserve our simple, sustainable way of life so that we can give back to and protect mother earth. Our farm is located in Pua city, 70km north of Nan province surrounded by the mountains and rice fields, in Northern Thailand. The farm is set on 1.5 acres of land with vegetable gardens, rice paddies, farm stay and pizza restaurant. Currently, we have done with natural buildings on the farm, including bamboo huts, fences, and wooden houses. “Life is better with a Buffalo” is our farm goal and “Happiness only real when shared “ is our motto. We live in a large old house 20km inland of Byron Bay, in a quiet area of farmland and bush. We have a large garden and vegetable garden which is where we primarily need help. We have chickens, cats and 2 donkeys! We can offer a separate 'cottage' to stay in, and we provide all meals- some helpers have not wanted to go home! There is our new natural pool to cool off in too. In return we request 4 hours of genuine work per day. We are 8km from the nearest village so your own car is a big advantage, although we can pick you up if you don't have transport. Our family loves the cultural exchange aspect of HelpX and looks forward to meeting you and learning about your country. Right now we have work to do outdoors mainly weeding, some heavy lifting, pool cleaning, painting & gardening.

I offer two different types of stay in south-western Norway, neither of which is a farm. Most things happen at Kvednaflaat, a woodland-cum-holiday centre, which is not permanently lived in. My main need is April-May-first half of June, 1-13 August and 28 August -15 September 2025 - the latter two are bee-intensive for me at least. I have occasional very limited availability in summer. I shut down November-Match. Unless you are locally based the minimum stay is one week, and up to 1 month, which can be extended if we get on. The area comprises 90 hectares of woodland, a lake, and lots of rock. The location is fairly remote, without through traffic: the nearest public transport is the bus stop in Helleland - an hours walk away and 15 minutes by car - yes, I will pick up and drop off. There are no domestic animals other than bees (if you are interested in them the best times to come are May/June and September). The work here involves work in the wood, maintenance and improvements on...

Our farm is 20km away from the center of Manisa province in western Turkey. The distance to the sea shore is 70km. The nearest village is 4km away and there is always a bus to the city. The farm, which has belonged to our family for three generations, has vineyards, walnut trees, olive trees and many fruit trees. We grow our own food in our summer and winter vegetable gardens. There are 3 separate houses for accommodation in our farm. Our guests can stay in separate houses. We have cat and dog friends on the farm. I live alone on the farm, sometimes my mother and son stay on the farm. We also make nature-friendly agricultural practices in our farm. We grow products with traditional methods. We do not use any toxic pesticides. According to the season, our main works on the farm are as follows; Garden preparation, seedling growing, seedling planting and hoeing, Garden irrigation, vegetable and fruit harvesting, vegetable and fruit drying, pickle making, wine making, bread making, jam a...

Welcome! Your choice: You can exchange two hours help/day for the room only and provide your own food, or we can provide meals for you, and you help us for four hours/day. Also: Sometimes there is a possibility of renting our room in exchange for some few hours per week plus dollars. Our home is surrounded by nature and some of Nelson's best mountain biking and walking tracks. We are two friendly people, some chickens and a cat. Our home is in easy walking distance of Nelson city centre, but it is quiet and private. It's like being in the country. There's a good mix of things to do: Looking after garden and trees, house and each other, making music, preserving fruit, generally enjoying life. We can talk to you in English, French or German. We like to share meals with helpers. We love to feed you (and love being cooked for by you, too!). If you want to teach us a song from your country, that would make us happy. My husband and I moved to this 240 acre farm in the South Burnett Region of South East Qld 2 years ago and have recently moved into a purpose built cottage (to reduce our footprint) relying on rainwater for the house and bore water for the gardens and to reduce our footprint further we have installed a composting toilet. 40 fruit trees have been planted and raised garden beds made which is the start of our edible oasis. Next on the jobs list is creating wicking beds from IBC totes and fencing the house yard for our two Jack Russell dogs. We have an old thunder box we would like to restore to make into an outdoor composting toilet (let us know if you’re handy on the tools). There’s plenty to do and learn around the farm depending on your ability and interests. Enthusiasm is a must. There’s gardening and learning about soil health, learning how to erect barbed wire and electric fencing, animal husbandry, building, cleaning and general maintenance. There’s always something different g...

We are a family from Kauhava, South Ostrobothnia, Finland. Our helpx place is our family getaway in Ylistaro, just 15km from our home. Our family consists of my entrepreneurial spouse, our 7 year old child, and myself. I also have two adult children and a 3 year-old grandchild. Our place is located in a small village in the countryside. There are some neighbors nearby, but it is peaceful and close to nature. The house is an old, traditional South Ostrobothnian log house, built sometime around the late 1800s–early 1900s. It has been in my family for generations, and we are slowly renovating it to bring it back to life. We are looking for helpers to join us in maintaining and improving our family getaway. Tasks may include: - Gardening in the spring and summer - Keeping the house tidy - Small repair work - Organizing and brainstorming ideas for better use of the space.

Spring is arriving as we speak :) Wow, exploring right outside our backdoor along side the Campbell River on Vancouver Island, is a beautiful place to experience Vancouver Island`s great outdoors this spring/summer :) Although we live on a one acre town lot, our back yard is situated on a cliff over looking an accessible beautiful heritage river, with a nature park setting of ferns, douglas firs, maples and alder trees. You can often see deer, raccoons, bears and the silver backs of salmon and Steelhead fish jumping in the ebb and flow of the river’s pools. We have trail access to the river below, where you can enjoy listening to the sing song of many birds, tubing down the river/swimming in the heat of the summer, and trying your hand at casting for Steelhead fish. As well, our neighborhood is the access point to many scenic nature hiking/ walking and biking trails. The ocean photo was taken a couple of miles from my home and all other photos are of my house area or looking downwards...

We need 2 kinds of help... have a close look and choose what suits you best :) 1) In Tozu where we run a 5 table little country restaurant in the middle of the mountains. I need help when I am busy with the 6 year old who has some tamdrums getting better. Also with cleaning and maintenance... peeling hazle nuts? everything in general. You will have your own bedroom in our little apartment above the bar. We don't live in this apartment but we use it when bar is open. Meals will be provided at lunch or when ii is possible and we are in the bar, but when not we can just provide you with the food needed to cook in...

Our house and garden is in the town of Órgiva south of the historic city of Granada in the region of Andalucía. Órgiva is situated in a valley called La Alpujarra with the Sierra Nevada mountains to the north and the Sierra Lújar and Contraviesa to the south and the Mediterranean beyond. With a population of 8000, the town has ample amenities with plenty of shops, bars, banks and restaurants. Our property, La Parra ( the Vine), is in the center of town but with an unusually large garden ( 1800m2 ). The majority of help needed will be based in the garden but there may also be odd jobs around the house. We ask our helpers to work 5 hours per day 5 days a week in exchange for board and lodging (good food and great accommodation). We have had helpers from all parts of the world for more than 14 years (formerly we had a large property called Las Chimeneas and the Órgiva Tea Garden) and are very used to enjoying their help and company. We usually expect around 4 hours per day of work in exchange for all meals, your own room, access to internet (for checking emails, looki...

Further skills appreciated (diy, maintenance repairs, etc) Best suited to working guests who reli...

Tasks may include: - Gardening in the spring and summer - Keeping the house tidy - Small repair work - Organizing and brainstorming ideas for better use of the space.

Our place sits high on a hill with spectacular 360 degree views of mountains, valleys, rolling hills and city lights overlooking all of Albury/Wodonga, twin cities on the Murray River. We are on the main freeway between Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney. Large luxury cedar and rock homestead on 100 acres. Lots of historic church features incorporated into the homestead and cute rustic outbuildings , antiques and artistic detail abound. Beautiful and unique large garden filled with 100+ sculptures, many paths to explore, ponds, organic vegetable and berry gardens, free range poultry and wildlife galore and many other interesting features. Lots of fun things to do and see here and everyone who has stayed has left with a happy and memorable experience.
