We'd love someone who likes gardening, stacking wood, sorting things out, fixing a big mosaic and possibly cook. If you like bigger projects, and have the skills, we would like to build an awning on top of our front deck. It's very easy to come to Mittagong by train from Sydney. The station is a 3 minute drive or twenty minute walk from the house. We usually try people out for a a few days, but there's probably between 2 weeks and a month worth of work, depending on your skills We are a casual couple, musical, fun-loving and living in the beautiful Southern Highlands an hour or so southwest of Sydney. We love meeting fellow travellers on the path of life and sharing experiences. We'll be happy with anything around 4 hours a day and we're very flexible when it comes to when it's done. We are a 2 minute walk from the National Park with endless glorious bush walks and loads of Kangaroos, wombats and Cockatoos. There are many National Parks close by as well as Fitzroy and Belmore Falls, ...

Hi beautiful people! I’m Christine, a happy spirited former language and arts teacher working across two continents. Since I retired I work in the natural health field. I live on an urban block called The Roo‘s Pouch, where I maintain a sustainable vegetable garden and created a community of nice people living with me. I live in one of the three buildings on this sunny property which runs on rainwater harvesting. We avoid chlorine and contaminates by filtering, harmonizing and ionizing our water. So water conservation is part of life for me. The corner block is in a suburb of Maryborough. There are 3 beautiful public parks surrounding with lots of kangaroos hopping peacefully around, near to the Mary River. The historic city of Maryborough has a lot to offer and is the home town of Mary Poppins. We are only 30 min by car from the ocean in Hervey Bay with wale watching when in season. Hervey Bay is at the doorsteps of Fraser Island/K’Gari. I offer for single or couple a bedroom wit...

I live between a yacht on Sydney Harbour and a house in a tall eucalyptus forest on the mid north coast of NSW, and need some assistance in working on the house and on another yacht.  I'm a carpenter who worked with National Parks and Wildlife for 25 years before retiring, and live with a small dog Billy. I've had many helpers come stay over the last few years and have been lucky to have so many interesting travellers stay.  My yacht, is currently on the hard at Whoota, where we are renovating her while helping with work on her. I often take helpers out sailing to see the magnificent Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House but this is not possible while she is being worked on. Yet, I hope to invite helpers out when she is back in the water. The house is located in Whoota, near Forster. It is surrounded by forest and located a 10 minute drive from pristine beaches, lakes, and bushwalks. There a lots of dolphins to see and beautiful areas to explore. The work we are doing on the house ...

Seven years ago, Tim and I moved to our little farm, and we've been busy ever since; growing a garden, planting trees, and learning how to care for the land. We joined Landcare to better understand the local trees and wildlife, especially the ones that need a bit of extra protection. Tim is a retired engineer and has a knack for designing and building, so he’s been having a great time working on the infrastructure around the property. As for me, I’m a creative arts teacher and public health practitioner. I still teach both online and on campus at an Australian university, balancing my work with farm life. One of my biggest passions here is my rose garden with 400 fragrant bushes, and I'm dreaming of making rose water and rose oil one day. We’ve also got a thriving organic fruit and veggie garden, with plenty of fruit trees and a mix of seasonal vegetables. Our dam is well stocked with yabbies, and we’re just a short stroll from the Murray River, perfect for a bit of fishing. I lo...

We live in a fun share house in Maryborough, Marry Poppins Town, with awesome meals and a big edible garden. We're Mars, the owner of the property and Tracy, a former theatre/restaurant owner who's cooking the most awesome meals and looking after everyone like a mum. There're 2 adorable dogs in the family, so you must be a dog lover. We need help with building and creating, and with an awesome but overgrown garden. In addition, we're about to put 12v solar power into the rooms, also natural air-conditioning and are finishing up the spa bath in the 2nd bathroom... so there's a bit for you to learn and lots of knowledge to take home. We have had awesome experiences with travellers so far 😃. Maryborough is only 30 minutes away from Hervey Bay with beautiful beaches overlooking Frazer Island. Maryborough is a beautiful old heritage town with a lot of old buildings and parks all around. We're just a few metres away from the Mary River, at a quite place and only 1.5 km from town. There'...

Hello! We are a family of one mum and 3 kids (10, 16, 17). We homeschool and live on a hobby farm where we raise our own cows and grow organic veges. Our home is off the grid but with all the modern convinces. We would love your help to tidy up our mini farm. Lawn mowing, wiper snipping, weeding, mulching, stacking firewood, help in the vege garden. Also being a part of the general household management - helping with meals and dishes alongside the teenagers. You will have your own caravan to sleep in but can hang out in the house during the day. We have bikes for enjoying the local countryside. Our area has beautiful beaches, rainforest, pretty countryside, stunning national parks and a historical seaside village. We love getting out exploring and learning in our local area.

We are a family of five with three boys, aged 8 years, 5 years, and 3 months. We live in the beautiful tourist town of Hahndorf in the picturesque Adelaide Hills. You will have your own bedroom with access to WiFi and Netflix. There is a lot to see and do in Hahndorf and the Adelaide Hills, as well as in Adelaide, with easy access to buses within walking distance. We also live only 45 minutes away from the beach and have a beach house where we like to stay on holidays. We are looking for help with cooking, light housework and playing with the children, and a bit of gardening, depending on the particular Helper’s interests and abilities. We can accommodate one person. We attend a lively and modern church, and you are very welcome to join us if you would like to. It is a very good way to meet and spend time with other people your age. We enjoy spending time together, playing, going out for meals or coffee, and going to the playground or the beach. We also enjoy spending time with fr...

Our hext vacancy is likely to be in March. From then on we shall be looking for reasonably good DIY handymen and women, with some experience in working with wood, capable of working effectively, when necessary, on your own or as a pair and, ideally, someone who also has some gardening experience, but that is not really necessary, learn on the job! 😉👍. Right now I am renovating a 5m dinghy trailer and a 51 year-old, but still very strong 5m Clark brand, aluminium dinghy, fitting remote steering, centre console, etc. You would probably start your stay by helping with this. You need to be a "morning person" who is happy to start work at 07.00 hr, at least five mornings a week, not a night owl. This is to avoid the heat of the afternoons at this time of year. Most of the work is outside but also based out of a well-equipped woodworking workshop and in our vegetable garden just over 100 meters from the beach.🧜‍♂️ Opportunities on your day off include fishing, sailing, snorkeling, ...

Rather we provide accommodation, meals, transport to and from the ferry and opportunities to experience the local community and environment. In return you provide around 4 hours of work contribution per day, plus help to prepare meals, and look after your accomodation including cleaning on departure. We endeavour to show volunteers around the Island's attractions, weather and time permitting. As music lovers we particularly welcome people who can play a musical instrument. We also welcome applications from people of all ages and countries. Likely tasks are seasonal and may include planting and watering tree seedlings, weeding, cutting timber, building enclosu...

Hi potential helpers The old blue Queenslander always has jobs and things that need doing. I work full time from home so it's always great to have some help. Usually gardening and cleaning. Sometimes painting and fixing. Sometimes jobs using your special skills. It's best if you have your own transport but I can pick up from cairns if you don't. I provide plenty of food and a comfortable room. I ask for 4 hours work a day. It is a great place to chill out with not a lot near by. So better to have your own car if you are not used to just lazing about in your spare time and want to have a good look around. However if you don't have your own car I can take you on a bit of a tour around if you would like. Looking forward to hearing from you soon. Kind regards Julia

I’m not currently looking for help. I need help with the garden… mowing, weeding and gardening, trimming back. Cleaning the air bnb, cleaning windows and tiles, bathrooms, kitchen and living area would also be helpful.Washing and vacuuming my car would also be good. I’d like 3 hours a day work. You will have your own king bed and tv ( Netflix) and internet and own bathroom and toilet in a large house by the canal only 3 kms from the beach. You will have your own kitchen laundry area to use and fridge of your own. There is a pool for use in summer if air bnb folk not staying. There’s only myself here with air bnb guests from time to time in a separate part of the house. Happy to show you the area. Would love it if you could cook a meal or two. Happy to cook and share the evening meals with you. You need to supply your own breakfast and lunch. I can speak french and a little German ( bit rusty) ….would prefer a young lady or a young couple.

There'...

Our property lies between the Chapman River Sanctuary and Lashmar’s Lagoon Sanctuary, about 600 meters from Antechamber Bay, one of the largest, most pristine and undisturbed beaches on Kangaroo Island’s coast. It is often windy, but rarely very hot or very cold. Nice Planets is not a hotel, backpacker or holiday accommodation.
