Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . We are a married couple, now empty nesters, offering HelpXers to stay in our home and share our piece of paradise in St. Andrews. Our names are Steve and Margarita. We are still working and could need some assistance with chores like gardening and some other things. You will be provided separate bedroom and bathroom, lounge, shared kitchen, large garden, pool, and many relaxation spaces. St Andrews is a little town about 40km NE of Melbourne, bordering Kinglake national park. There is no local public transport, however about a 10 min drive to Hurstbridge train station with direct access to Melbourne's train network. Ideally you should have your own car/transport, which will give you local access and country driving throughout the area. Which includes the Yarra Valley, Kinglake, Marysville and Warrandyte.

I live with my 2 daughters, Sadie who is 5 and Aleena who is 4 years old. We have 2 big dogs that live in the garden and don't come inside but are very friendly. Sadie and Aleena are incredible little beings, they enjoy meeting new people and learning things from them. They can be a little shy at first, usually a few minutes and then they will be your best friend. They are very helpful and love to be involved with cooking, cleaning and anything we are doing really which is great. We have had many guests come and stay from HelpX and we have all always had positive experiences!. We live in a house near the beach in the suburbs of cairns. We are very sociable people and have a good circle of very nice friends who all like to get together frequently and hang out having nice BBQ's and meals toge...

Tasks that are available to be done may include: general light gardening, removing weeds, cleaning gutters, basic paving, cleaning, washing of car, vacuuming, dusting, mopping floors, filing paperwork.
