In the summer I travel around Victoria and Australia a lot, going on road trips with friends and many music festivals -camping in the bush etc.. I am into music (composing/playing); Alternative health / medicine ; Electronics / Engineering / technology ; Anything weird wacky unusual unexplained strange secret, and business combining most of the above, ;) .. The world is full of amazing things and possibilities and Life can never be dull for the seeker with an open mind. I am very passionate about hidden truths and wisdom and always keen to learn and share (if called for) I do not drink or smoke and i prefer vegetarian food but still i m pretty flexible.. We (Riley, Serene and Bood) enjoy living in harmony with nature and each other. This place is a beautiful property high in the hills above Cairns, that borders World Heritage rain forest wilderness on three sides, and enjoys breathtaking views over the Atherton Tableland. There are permanent creeks, waterfalls, rock pools (for swimming) and a very pleasant climate, without the high humidity that the coast can experience (in summer). That said it can get very wet in summer; our wet season. Abundant wildlife including tree kangaroos, possums, platypus, cassowary and hundreds of other bird species. The property practices holistic management, organics and permaculture principles. Work is mostly gardening, orchard and household duties. Most happy to utilise your unique skills and gifts, where possible. We like to take turns cooking meals, encourage food literacy (from garden to plate), and greater awareness of self-sufficiency. Accommodation for one or two helpers, in our beautiful ...

Hi helpers, I live on 2 acres in a beautiful coastal town called Diamond beach, located on the mid north coast of NSW, Australia. I heard about helpx via a nearby neighbour who has been hosting helpers for the last 10 years or so, from which I deduce he's had a successful experience. I need help with my gardens, (lots of weeding!, planting, trimming, mulching etc). as well as a minor renovation of a bnb, which we refer to as a "humpy", (see pics) which has gone unattended for about 6 months. The idea is that whoever helps out will stay in our home while fixing up the bnb and then stay in it for the rest of his stay. There is other work if suitable/available, like staining decks, preparing timber slabs (using thicknesser etc), for finishing etc. I live with my sister, (we're both divorced) and both are retired. I live in a restored shed, looks more like an apartment now! and can provide a very comfortable attic room, air-conditioned with own toilet and shower. The "humpy" has its own t...

If you REALLY love dogs, cats and nature and are looking for and role that can lead to working your 88 days for visa sign off or a permanent paid role... We need a kind and fit person who would be happy to do all the jobs needed to keep our dogs healthy and happy. This includes a LOT of house cleaning, feeding, laundry and dog washing. Your accommodation would start of in our vintage caravan and once our current paid helper leaves, you would share a modern two-bedroom home with our other helper (currently that’s Angela and Jordan who are from Taiwan and Germany). You would of course have dogs or cats sleeping on your bed too! This is a great experience for those who are fit and love dogs, cats, cleaning and organising and want to spend some time on a lovely property in a nice home full of dogs. Or you may want to gain the skills to volunteer at a rescue shelter, become a dog trainer, or maybe you might just want to know how to create a create a really great dog of your own. A...

My husband and I moved to this 240 acre farm in the South Burnett Region of South East Qld 2 years ago and have recently moved into a purpose built cottage (to reduce our footprint) relying on rainwater for the house and bore water for the gardens and to reduce our footprint further we have installed a composting toilet. 40 fruit trees have been planted and raised garden beds made which is the start of our edible oasis. Next on the jobs list is creating wicking beds from IBC totes and fencing the house yard for our two Jack Russell dogs. We have an old thunder box we would like to restore to make into an outdoor composting toilet (let us know if you’re handy on the tools). There’s plenty to do and learn around the farm depending on your ability and interests. Enthusiasm is a must. There’s gardening and learning about soil health, learning how to erect barbed wire and electric fencing, animal husbandry, building, cleaning and general maintenance. There’s always something different g...

We live in a fun share house in Maryborough, Miss Poppins Town, with awesome meals and a big edible garden. We're Mars, the owner of the property and Tracy, a former theatre/restaurant owner who's cooking the most awesome meals and looking after everyone like a mum. There're 2 adorable dogs in the family, so you must be a dog lover. We need help with building and creating, and with an awesome but overgrown garden. In addition, we're about to put 12v solar power into the rooms, also natural air-conditioning and are finishing up the spar bath in the 2nd bathroom... so there's a bit for you to learn and lots of knowledge to take home. We have had great experiences with travellers so far as Mars's former partner has been on HelpX for quite some time. Maryborough is only 30 minutes away from Hervey Bay with beautiful beaches overlooking Frazer Island. Maryborough is a beautiful old heritage town with a lot of old buildings and parks all around. We're just a few metres away from the Mary ...

We live in a renovated Queenslander about 4 kms from the city centre. We are an easy going family looking for someone who will fit in with our lifestyle. You will need to be a non smoker and someone that likes dogs as we have a Maltese shitzu that lives inside. My husband and I run a teaching business from offices downstairs in our home. We work before school and then again after school and of an evening. We are looking for someone who is willing to work 4 hours a day, Monday to Friday with weekends free. We are looking for someone who has previous experience in house painting as we are currently painting the exterior of our home. Other tasks would also involve cooking the evening meal, keeping the house clean and washing. If you have initiative, past painting experience and the ability to work unsupervised, we would love to hear from you.

We are a small, newly established hobby farm with a big vision to create a world where the health and well-being of both people and the planet can flourish. Our motto is from little things big things grow! We are guided by the principles of permaculture – People Care, Earth Care and Fair Share. We acknowledge the Gunaikurnai people as traditional custodians of the land we live and work on. Our aim as temporary caretakers is to create a lifestyle that is slower, simpler, happier, more self-sufficient, and kinder to the planet, as a demonstration to others of what might be possible. This place is the home base for a counselling and eco-therapy mental health service, which works with nature to improve people’s health and well-being, and to promote healing and growth. We also have lots of big ideas and projects in the makings, as well as ongoing jobs. These include: - establishing an orchard - establishing permaculture gardens - building a new chicken house and run - growing 'Herbs f...

I have a lovely natural building studio space, made of super adobe, that is used as a meditation/healing/sacred temple space, set in a lovely slightly wild permaculture garden, with a bee hive, flowers, veggies etc. The studio would be completely your own private space. I am happy to share some meditation/healing practices with you if you are interested. I would love help in the garden, with weeding, mulching, planting, harvesting and helping to make the garden creative, abundant, fertile and beautiful. Also need help going to the beach to collect seaweed for the garden beds. I would like to provide some meals, and have you be independent for some as well. I really like to meet and be social with helpers , and also to spend a lot of time in meditation and writing. I live in a little rural suburb near a beautiful mangrove area , and I am 40 minutes from wilsons prom, and less to other beautiful areas. A drivers license would be very helpful .

HI HELPERS!!! WELCOME TO JOHN`S FUN FACTORY!!! BULLETIN: I live in a beautiful isolated Tasmanian mountain valley surrounded by world heritage rain forest and some VERY TALL Trees!(but not as big as the Hinoki trees at AliShan in Taiwan!!) Most of my property is a nature reserve, but I have a 2 Hectare orchard, berry garden and vegetable garden which are all useless! The possums, wallabies and birds eat most of these (trees included!) so we live on ice cream and chocolate biscuits instead! Please come and help us eat the biscuits so I don`t get too fat! Oh, by the way, all the Wallabies are called "Skippy" and they don`t mind a bit of apple or banana occasionally. I have been a volunteer host for 18 years and I have had more than 1700(Yes!!!you read it correctly!) fabulous, lovely, wonderful volunteers stay with me. Many of them have come back for second, third…or even 10th visits!!!!! Work can be really diverse including tree planting, mowing grass, helping to install forest fire...

We are new to this platform but have been on workaway for about 6 years. We (My partner Ruby and me (Ross) and our 4 y/o Harriet) live on a little property in Central Victoria about 2 hours from Melbourne. We have been here for 7 years and are slowly chipping away at different projects from house fix ups to garden projects. Ross's background is in horticulture and landscape design and construction so we are putting in a lot of effort to the gardens. He also teaches a couple of days a week online. Ruby is a social worker, she works 4 days per week. Our 4 y/o daughter Harriet loves craft, games and playing doctors and dress ups. We also have two gorgeous/ energetic dogs and chickens. Our place is set on the edge of a creek on about 4 acres of land at the bottom of a ridge. We have an old tavern from around 1860 (now a house), a fairly new studio and a bungalow, caravan and workshops on our property. Ruby and I are both vegetarians and really like food!

We are a 5 minute drive the cl...
