It looks like we are full until at least June but you are still welcomed to make inquiries about future dates. We appreciate help with DIY construction, repairs and maintenance, timber work, boat work, metal work repairs to trailers and for help with gardening, housekeeing, cooking, duck and chicken rearing and dog walking on the beach. Fishing, snorkelling, and rainforest walks can help occupy your spare time. We are looking for reasonably good DIY handymen and women, capable of working effectively, when necessary, on your own or as a pair and, ideally, someone who also has some gardening experience, but that is not really necessary, learn on the job! 😉👍. So you need to be a "morning person" who is happy to start work at 07.00 hr, at least five mornings a week, not a night-owl. This is to avoid the heat of the afternoons at this time of year, mornings ca n be beautiful. Much of the work will be outside, based out of a well-equipped, air-conditioned, woodworking workshop an...

CURRENTLY AVAILABLE (Not available June to mid July) Welcome to Womble Inn, named after the beloved 70s TV characters who made good use of bad rubbish. Our home is a 1960s suburban property (728sqm) that has been transformed from a simple grass block into a growing urban permaculture haven. We have food forests, chickens, wicking beds, African keyhole gardens, bees, and are home to the Food Is Free Coolbellup pilot project. This is a real, evolving space — creative, productive, imperfect, and full of learning. We don’t always get everything right, but that’s part of the journey. The main house is a share home with people interested in living more simply, growing food, reducing waste, making things from scratch, and creating a more connected way of life. We are located close to Fremantle with easy access to beaches, cafés, live music, markets and galleries. A bus stop only 50 metres away runs directly to Fremantle. Accommodation You will stay in your own private caravan tucked am...

Hi! We are a family with three children aged 2, 4 and 6. We are on a large, riverside property about 12 minutes drive from Cairns city. The property has a swimming pool and beautiful views over the river and to the mountains. There are horse paddocks and a few animals (horses, cats, dog, chickens, ducks) on the property, as well as plenty of wildlife to see. The main tasks for helpers are cleaning & tidying of the house, gardening (lots!), pool maintenance, feeding animals, helping with food preparation/cooking and (if you happen to be a bit of an artist) there are a couple of painting jobs to be done as well. There is a bus stop nearby so you can easily access public transport and we also regularly go on family excursions where you are welcome to come along and we would love to show you the area. To be comfortable here, you can not have a fear of frogs, insects, geckos, spiders and other similar wildlife, as we very much live alongside these in this part of the world :) Strictly no ...

I am an aquatic ecologist who has fortunately been working out of our coastal rain-forest property for 35 years. Driven by strong curiosity, I have recently been developing long-term data sets on the animal life in the forest that surrounds our home, plus on tropical marine fish that are steadily increasing in numbers under the influence of climate change at the nearby very beautiful Seal Rocks area (for details click on my website link below). We have 20 acres with 2 acres cleared and the remainder moist tall forest and rainforest. It is on the coast 3 hrs drive north of Sydney (1.5km from Smiths Lake; 30km south of Forster) See my blog link below to glimpse the accommodation, typical work and fun. We have a 180 squ m vegetable garden at times needing attention which has been enclosed to keep out our friends the wallabies (pademelons), possums, parrots and native bush turkeys. Bush regeneration is another activity as well as assisting in ecological surveys of local rivers when t...

We have a property located within walking distance of perth centre near the river , grocery stores and public transport as well as a local coffee strip. You would have the whole house self-contained with kitchen and bathroom. The helping exchange arrangement would be helping with repairs, and painting. Its near sent Mary cathedral st if you want to check location. It would be useful if you have had some experience with painting and renovation as we are trying to bring a property in for a sale this year. it would suit someone who would like some peace and quiet because it lacks entertainment facilities such as stereos and TVs at the moment. Sorry, we don’t really provide long term bookings for people who are working. We do know of opportunities for those looking for this and are happy to assist.

We are near the Shoalwater Marine Park and Penguin Island 40mins from Perth city centre. Very close to public transport, cafes and library. Ideal for beach walking, diving, swimming, cycling, fishing, sailing and windsurfing (beach is 60 metres away). Accommodation would take form of a fully insulated cute tiny garden room with access to undercover cooking area and bathroom. IT is small so please See photos. On week days we are usually working it Perth so we cant provide meals, but a well-stocked supermarket is 200 metres away. We average 2/3 hours a day painting, plumbing gardening and other repairs and can negotiate best time to do that, for example maybe it’s more convenient to do two longer days during the week. When you email please let us know when you plan to get to Perth and how you are travelling (flying in, driving or bus etc.). If you are already in Perth, where you are staying and how long you would like stay. We can send you more details when you enquire, including advi...

Set in a hidden valley of Woonona, this 1 acre oasis is on a journey from forgotten, overgrown grassland to Permaculture wonderland! We have been practicing aspects of sustainability for over 15 years including Permaculture gardening, sustainable building and creating community. Sarah has a deep level of knowledge about market gardening, soil building and organic food & is a qualified Permaculture teacher. Ben is skilled at building with recycled, reclaimed and natural materials, tending fruit trees and teaching ecology & sustainability. The property is located about 5 minutes bike ride from lovely beaches and 5 minutes walk from local shops and access to buses into Wollongong. It`s also only 1.5hrs from Sydney by train. We spent 2010 WWOOFing around the planet with our two children, so we understand how to be good hosts. Hello, We are a multi-generational family farm running sheep, cattle and cropping enterprises about 28km from Young. We have enjoyed the company of lots of Helpers over the past 12 years and many have kept in touch with us. The family includes Tony and Mary-Louise and their adult children Tim and Steph along with their young families. General: Helpers are welcome anytime to do gardening, mowing, repair works, cleaning, painting and the like. We like helpers to stay up to two weeks with the possibility to extend if it suits both parties. Please note *** Heya !! No availability until early June 🌺 Thank you for the inquiries 😊 Island Farm has extensive views over the beautiful Whitsunday Islands. 10 minutes from Airlie Beach. Fruit and vegetable garden and pond. Big pool overlooking view just 2 steps from queen size guest bedroom. Need help in the garden and around the house. Also on the boat and at my art studio in town sometimes. I was a woofer host for 20 years on my organic farm and loved having travelers stay. Now my daughter has left home her gorgeous room is free and love to have you stay. Island Farm is a very beautiful and peaceful place. It’s not a party house. I can offer a 3 day stay for starters and see how we go. 😊🌺

We live in a fun share house in Maryborough, Marry Poppins Town, with awesome meals and a big edible garden. We're Mars, the owner of the property and Tracy, a former theatre/restaurant owner who's cooking the most awesome meals and looking after everyone like a mum. There're 2 adorable dogs in the family, so you must be a dog lover. Also 6 chicken, so we always have fresh eggs. We need help with building and creating, and with an awesome but overgrown edible garden. We're about to get ducks in addition, we're about to put 12v solar power into the rooms, also natural air-conditioning and are finishing up the spa bath in the 2nd bathroom... so there's a bit for you to learn and lots of knowledge to take home. We like to work with fun and laughter and love to see you letting a bit of your craziness out. Be yourself and join the family... We have had awesome experiences with travellers so far 😃. Please note that there's a minimum of 1 week stay, we do not like to be used as a pit...

I seek mature travellers who are travelling around the South West in their own Camper Van or Car with tent etc. Traveller/helpers need to be self contained but I provide access to clean toilet and shower facilities. I have some really nice set up camp sites here - the sites are private, clean, safe and located in beautiful natural bushland settings. If you would like to come, stay and help me here, please send me a message ! I can usually help traveller/helpers locate many other things.., like possible work services, free food services and access to various beaches etc. I like to show people how they can live on the land sustainably, how they can build their own sustainable homes and grow their own food...., using what is around them, to adapt to their environment and adopt permaculture principals to suit their own needs. I have lived on my own little permaculture farm beside the Leeuwin/Naturaliste National Park forest since 1982. I have built my own home using local granite s...

HI HELPERS!!! WELCOME TO JOHN`S FUN FACTORY!!! Most of my property is a nature reserve, but I have a 2 Hectare orchard, berry garden and vegetable garden which are all useless! The possums, wallabies and birds eat most of these (trees included!) so we live on ice cream and chocolate biscuits instead! Please come and help us eat the biscuits so I don`t get too fat!

Learn about gardening, woodworking and find yourself on a journey to your soul in Macclesfield, South Australia Thank you for your interest in volunteering. We appreciate help, enjoy young people having an excuse to visit the beautiful and interesting places Adelaide, the hills and the Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia have to offer with them. We are regularly being booked 3 to 4 months in advance with mostly long-term guests. This should not deter you to ask anyway as booked helpers sometimes cancel their spot. Please read through all the text below and only apply if you think this is for you. We live on a 2-hectare property with the young Angas River running through. We have organic gardens with fruit trees, all sorts of berries, vegetable gardens with free roaming bantams, big layer hens, flower beds, lawns as well as a goat on paddocks and a cute house cat. 1 of our 4 kids, Katharina, is living next door with her partner.

BULLETIN: I live in a beautiful isolated Tasmanian mountain valley surrounded by world heritage rain forest and some VERY TALL Trees!(but not as big as the Hinoki trees at AliShan in Taiwan!!) Most of my property is a nature reserve, but I have a 2 Hectare orchard, berry garden and vegetable garden which are all useless! The possums, wallabies and birds eat most of these (trees included!) so we live on ice cream and chocolate biscuits instead! Please come and help us eat the biscuits so I don`t get too fat! Oh, by the way, all the Wallabies are called "Skippy" and they don`t mind a bit of apple or banana occasionally. I have been a volunteer host for 18 years and I have had more than 1700(Yes!!!you read it correctly!) fabulous, lovely, wonderful volunteers stay with me. Many of them have come back for second, third…or even 10th visits!!!!! Work can be really diverse including tree planting, mowing grass, helping to install forest fire...

This is a home stay situated on a sugarcane farm 18km north of Proserpine. Not far from Airle Beach and Whitsundays. There are a variety of chores, I work in the sugar mill but also have a lot of work around my house and sheds. We’re renting a granny flat, and some times there is some cleaning work to be done. I have a young dog and chooks to take care of. It is very quiet where I live, so if you are looking for some peace and quiet to get away. I would also be happy to show you around the area, take you fishing, I have a boat and would love to show you around the Whitsundays weather permitting, maybe catch some crabs explain some of the wildlife in the area. There are lots of beautiful places to see here. We have hosted exchange students in the past and it has been very fulfilling, sharing different cultures. More photos on instagram at aqhinschen We enjoy the company and conversation and also sharing the cooking, I love sharing the kitchen while cooking. We have had some great ...
