PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON Need help.with a garden clean up.at the moment. You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one rough headed ,skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town, which is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay. I am an aquatic ecologist who has fortunately been working out of our coastal rain-forest property for 35 years. Driven by strong curiosity, I have recently been developing long-term data sets on the animal life in the forest that surrounds our home, plus on tropical marine fish that are steadily increasing in numbers under the influence of climate change at the nearby very beautiful Seal Rocks area (for details click on my website link below). We have 20 acres with 2 acres cleared and the remainder moist tall forest and rainforest. It is on the coast 3 hrs drive north of Sydney (1.5km from Smiths Lake; 30km south of Forster) See my blog link below to glimpse the accommodation, typical work and fun. We have a 180 squ m vegetable garden at times needing attention which has been enclosed to keep out our friends the wallabies (pademelons), possums, parrots and native bush turkeys. Bush regeneration is another activity as well as assisting in ecological surveys of local rivers when t...

Sorry but Hosting is not available until Sept 2026 We are a couple living at West Lakes, a western beachside suburb of Adelaide, who are looking for helpers who can assist in the house and garden. Some of the tasks include gardening; clearing up and household chores plus assistance with charity free breakfast for homeless and disadvantaged. We are looking for one or two helpers at a time who enjoy a relaxed lifestyle, share tales of travels and home plus spoil our and my sister's dogs with cuddles and walks. In exchange for working around four hours a day (with two days off per week) we will provide food, internet, your own large bedroom, separate lounge room with TV and use of the main bathroom. We would love it if you can cook from time to time as well, especially if it's a dish from your home country. Adelaide city centre is 14km away with a bus stop close by. We are within walking distance to the beach, walking trail around lake and Westfield shopping centre.

G'day, I'm Kerry. *update* *Im taking a break from hosting until Spring/October* I have been a host for 6years *check out my insta for more photos* 'Heartwood Homestay' I was a WWOOF host also at my old property for 7 years. I have lived in St Marys for 2 years so still planning the garden design here. *my profile is very comprehensive so please take the time to read everything* I have a small horticultural business and micro nursery where I propagate & grow a popular Australian plant called "Billy Buttons" I sell these at the local farmers market, mostly through summer. I also operate a local gardening service, so I work 2-4 days per week. Because of this, you will need to be ok with some alone time as I won't be constantly at home but I do my best to balance out time at home when I have helpers staying. I live in the gorgouse, quaint village of St Marys in the north east of tassie. I dont have a farm or large property but the area is scenic with a natural vibe. I invite back...

Hi, it's Stephen and Philamae. We have a beautiful rural property in Buckland, Tasmania (45mins NE from Hobart airport). The views are stunning - the accommodation is lovely after its 4 year renovation build has just completed, and we are running it as holiday accommodation as we move towards turning it into a funky retreat space. The experience of the place - and Tasmania as a whole - is soul stirring. Lots of beautiful animals surround us - sheep, wallabies, possums, echidnas, bunnies and the occasional deer and wedge-tailed eagle. This link has a lot more photos of our place: https://www.airbnb.com.au/rooms/1404048948970319721 The next specific needs are: a) end of April onwards. Meal prep, housekeeping and gardening. This can be a short term stay 2-4 weeks if desired. b) start of June onwards. Mostly cleaning and bedrooms reset, some gardening. Minimum stay 4 weeks, but we prefer longer stays! If you want to come the second half of May that's fine - we're very flexible. (...

I operate a plant nursery and could use a helping hand. There are lots of weeds that need pulling and lots of plants that need planting. I would be asking for 12 hours per week of stay. This would be for accommodation only, no food. I have two nice rooms in a share house environment. I am not a super social person so it would be more along the lines of accommodation but in saying that I don't mind sharing a glass of wine around a fire Other things to do include bird watching, crocodile watching. At last count we had 14 fresh water crocodiles. Bush walks Our nursery is 15 minutes by car to Darwin so it is a good landing spot to explore darwin further. For the right people I can offer a day excursion out to a cattle station to fish or ride around in a buggy and see some more of the territory. This would depend largely on my availability and what I am doing that weekend Your own transport is better. There is a bus stop about 900m away but the service around Darwin is ok but not great

Hey there! I’m Belle 👋 *****Looking for assistance 1st to the 8th March and 3rd to the 19th April. Welcome to my little slice of paradise in Manly, QLD-just 150m from the water! 🌊 It’s a beautiful, laid-back spot with plenty to explore. On weekends, you can stroll down the boardwalk to the local markets (just a 15-minute walk), soak up the coastal vibes, or check out some of the great bars and restaurants nearby. Getting around is a breeze, there are scooters, buses, and a train station just 200m away. A little about me: I’m an outgoing, fun-loving adventurer who thrives on meeting new people from all walks of life. I love Pilates, exploring new places, and making the most of the outdoors. I also have a 20-year-old daughter, Charli, who works locally. She's very outgoing and friendly. We love sharing Aussie experiences with guests, whether that’s sightseeing, swapping travel stories, or helping you improve your English. Oh, and let’s not forget Suede- my energetic and loveable dog...

LOOKING FOR: Helpers 7th May - 15th May My rainforest home is located only a 5 minute walk to Kuranda village with our famous markets and only 3km to the mighty Barron Falls. There are numerous rainforest walks nearby. Cairns and the best beaches are only 40 minutes by car. Own vehicle preferred as the bus is limited as it is only twice a day! I travelled the world for 6 years and I now welcome guests from all countries to enjoy this beautiful place that I have called home for nearly 46 years. Non smokers only. Work is mainly outside in my large landscaped garden as well as maintaining the bank of a permanent creek which is my property's rear boundary. Alternatively, there is always some household duties and indoor painting to do when the weather is either too hot or raining outside. Old clothes available to work in if you don't want to use your good gear. In exchange for 4 hours per day (8am-noon unless previously agreed) you will have your own air-conditioned bedroom, healthy meals...

88 days visa possible if you are fit and strong enough for cattle fencing in a bushfire zone area. We use Natural farming methods. The Cattle dogs 🐶 take years to train (similar to a blind person’s guide dog and the bond is of the same importance. We trust and work together). The cattle 🐮 are the main emphasis and rotational grazing techniques are used. The large veggie gardens🪴 and fruit 🍎 orchards are for personal use. There’s an activity for a carpenter who knows what/how to replace a panel of ply wood in the cottage and fix a bit of metal on the surround of an external window(which was never done when the window was replaced by workman)😗 that has allowed water in to the plywood panel. Activities maybe basic veggie garden things, painting, feeding cattle, filling water containers of dogs, whatever comes up on a farm that is of interest. Separate accommodation.in the caravan or tent that are next to the ablution block which is being connected to off grid. Ample room for your own...

Hello and welcome to Australia all you first time travelers and welcome back to all the friends doing a return visit. Because of my son Matthew, who has Down Syndrome and is 54 years old, and because I am 83 you will need to have been vaccinated against Covid. Matt and I are both fully vaccinated. Right now, because my darling partner, who was an electronics person, has recently passed away, I need help with electrical and internet. But HelpX here involves house sitting sometimes but mostly helping clean the house, manage a small garden and most important helping support Matthew. Housesitter will need to be a careful and responsible person, happy to be alone sometimes, or to be here alone with Matthew, and who is also a cat cuddler and plant waterer! There will be plenty of free tim...

We live in a large old house 20km inland of Byron Bay, in a quiet area of farmland and bush. We have a large garden and vegetable garden which is where we primarily need help. We have chickens, cats and 2 donkeys! We can offer a separate 'cottage' to stay in, and we provide all meals- some helpers have not wanted to go home! There is our new natural pool to cool off in too. In return we request 4 hours of genuine work per day. We are 8km from the nearest village so your own car is a big advantage, although we can pick you up if you don't have transport. Our family loves the cultural exchange aspect of HelpX and looks forward to meeting you and learning about your country. Right now we have work to do outdoors mainly weeding, some heavy lifting, pool cleaning, painting & gardening.

We are offering travelers a warm, comfortable two-story Celery Top Pine Pole home we built ourself. You will enjoy magical views of the ocean and mountain and will wake to the sounds of the wild birds that flock to our food and water bowls. We are regularly visited by possums, wallaby's and various other wildlife. If you're lucky you may even see a Tasmanian Devil. We aspire to a sustainable way of living and adore our large established organic garden, which we are needing help with maintaining. We ask helpers to provide a minimum of 4.5 hrs of work each day for 5 days with two full days off. If you would like a day off after working a few days we ask you to make up the hours on other days. Some helpers also purchase their own food and only work 2.5 hours a day if this suits you better. We are also very flexible and happy to listen to your requests. Previous gardening experience is essential as well as cooking/helping with evening meals, household duties, and other jobs as required...

Hello, I’m David! I have sold my coffee shop after 45 years in the hospitality trade, where travelling workers would once work, however I STILL offer helpers the same excellent own room lodging as homestay & great food in exchange for a little light work and some social contact. I live close the train station and bus stop and am a 30 min trip by train to Melbourne City. There is a vehicle to drive locally if are appropriately licensed. You are welcome to use it. I go to the outback in western New South Wales about 3 times a year for the purpose of experiencing the beautiful "timeless land" of Australia and to legally hunt feral animals which endanger our wildlife. I often take workers to the outback so they can have a taste of the real Australia and I can assure that none of the numerous helpers/woofers I have taken over a many year period did not thoroughly enjoy it. . However the choice is theirs whether they accompany myself or whether they stay and "mind the house" I also oft...

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . Located 12 minutes the pristine beach’...

I live on a 5 acre property about 10km from CBD. I am an artist/ sculptor and love being involved in creative projects and have spent 17 years making my garden an outback wonderland. The house holds a beautiful view of the east MacDonnell ranges in a very quiet area. Secluded walks are very special and unique where you might see kangaroos, dingos or goannas and many birds such as red winged black cockatoos and the beautiful splendid blue fairy wren. There is chooks, a turtle, and a duck . The home has many native birds who spend much of the day gracing us with their varied songs. You can discover some of Alices' beautiful secret valleys while walking. it is close enough to walk to the famous Emily Gap or climb the MacDonnell Range and take in an endless view of the Central Australian Desert. I can provide meals fresh from garden when in season. Helpers must like outdoor style of living as accommodation is a caravan with outdoor undercover hang out area and a composting toilet. O...

Currently looking for Helpers Prefer Helpers over 25 (non smokers) Hi my name is Anthony and I live in Red Hill with my son Louis. We are located on the Mornington Penninsula just over an hour (by road) from Melbourne. Rolling hills dotted with vineyards and surrounded by the sea, this region is one of Melbournian's most popular "weekend getaway" destinations. Wake up to the singing birds in a log cabin set amongst the tree tops, boarded by an organic apple orchard and fringed by forest. Home to friendly and colourful native bird life and visited by a family of cheeky possums each night. Lovely walks to restaurants, markets and our general store. I have too many projects to handle by myself as I care for my 9 year old most weekends and some nights during the week. The projects are varied and include; clearing vegetation, maintaining the organic vegetable garden, planting native trees and shrubs, splitting wood (by machine), building a wood fired oven, setting up chicken coup, ...

Hello! Thank you for reading our profile. Guy, myself, and our dog Ava would love to welcome you to our home and community here in Far North Queensland — a place like no other. We live at the northern edge of the Daintree Rainforest, beside the pristine waters of Wallaby Creek, which is safe for swimming, and surrounded by beautiful bush walks. There is so much to enjoy here. Just a few kilometres north is the famous Lions Den Hotel, which offers live music during the tourist season and is a true local icon. Heading south through the Daintree to Port Douglas, you’ll find some of the most breathtaking coastal scenery in Australia. On your days off, we’d be delighted to take you exploring through the hills and show you some of the amazing places only locals know about. Living in the tropics means we experience severe weather events fairly often, especially during the wet season, with heavy rain, flooding, and cyclones. Fortunately, our home is on a hill and has remained safe. We are p...

Hi helpers, Our little patch of paradise is alongside a river 10mins walk from the town of Malanda which is in the hills 1hr west of Cairns. Our kids are all grown up and moved away so we have a large house with a bunch of empty bedrooms. We have a few dogs and an annoying macaw that rules the roost as well as cats, chooks, geese, sheep and cows. A drivers license is pretty handy, but not essential. We also have a property up in the hills where our breeder cattle live. It is nice and quiet and there is loads of wildlife about. Between these 2 farms we are kept busy. We usually take 1 or 2 helpers at a time and prefer not to take small children as the river is very close to the house. Best contact is the mobile, but we check email most mornings.

Our place sits high on a hill with spectacular 360 degree views of mountains, valleys, rolling hills and city lights overlooking all of Albury/Wodonga, twin cities on the Murray River. We are on the main freeway between Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney. Large luxury cedar and rock homestead on 100 acres. Lots of historic church features incorporated into the homestead and cute rustic outbuildings , antiques and artistic detail abound. Beautiful and unique large garden filled with 100+ sculptures, many paths to explore, ponds, organic vegetable and berry gardens, free range poultry and wildlife galore and many other interesting features. Lots of fun things to do and see here and everyone who has stayed has left with a happy and memorable experience. I seek mature travellers who are travelling around the South West in their own Camper Van or Car with tent etc. Traveller/helpers need to be self contained but I provide access to clean toilet and shower facilities. I have some really nice set up camp sites here - the sites are private, clean, safe and located in beautiful natural bushland settings. If you would like to come, stay and help me here, please send me a message ! I can usually help traveller/helpers locate many other things.., like possible work services, free food services and access to various beaches etc. I like to show people how they can live on the land sustainably, how they can build their own sustainable homes and grow their own food...., using what is around them, to adapt to their environment and adopt permaculture principals to suit their own needs. I have lived on my own little permaculture farm beside the Leeuwin/Naturaliste National Park forest since 1982. I have built my own home using local granite s...

We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week. Our preference is for a single person or couple who have some skil...

Two hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around. There is a mountain on my farm with lots...

We are a group of friends who decided three years ago to restore a beautiful old village/motel in Jindabyne. We are looking for like minded individuals who are passionate about restoration/building and maintenance, love nature and have a good nature and willing to share a laugh over some good food. We have hosted people from all around the world, including all over Europe, Asia, North and South America. The motel is a 5-minute drive from local amenities such as supermarkets, shops, pubs, and a skate park. From June to September there are plenty of winter activities including skiing, tobogganing, and snowboarding at nearby ski resorts, just 30 minutes away. In summer, there are plenty of hikes, mountain biking, fishing, as well as the beach at Jindabyne Lake, Blue Lake and we are 30 minutes from the tallest mountain in Australia- Mount Koscioscko. Yarrangobilly Caves and nearby thermal pools are about one hour away. Our beautiful site features a serene river, where you can go...

We have been a host farm for over 18 years now with well over 250 helpers having stayed. Usually it is only a one to two week stay but that is negotiable depending on how much work there is and how well we all get on. Sometimes I will accept ...
