Gardening, cooking, general cleaning, and possibly some meal preparation, (14 hours per week for food and accommodation) do more if you feel like it, but we prefer you to be having fun adventures in the area. Our pretty little farm is located 5 minutes from Sarina town in central QLD. We are 10 minutes from local beaches and close enough to Mackay which is a small regional city. We are also close to national parks that offer rainforest hiking and camping opportunities. We have 5 acres and are situated on the side of a mountain in beautiful bushland with lots of wildlife around. We are self-sufficient minded people and are enjoying the process of constantly learning new ideas and techniques of living happily and healthily on the land. We are near the Shoalwater Marine Park and Penguin Island 40mins from Perth city centre. Very close to public transport, cafes and library. Ideal for beach walking, diving, swimming, cycling, fishing, sailing and windsurfing (beach is 60 metres away). Accommodation would take form of a fully insulated cute tiny garden room with access to undercover cooking area and bathroom. IT is small so please See photos. On week days we are usually working it Perth so we cant provide meals, but a well-stocked supermarket is 200 metres away. We average 2/3 hours a day painting, plumbing gardening and other repairs and can negotiate best time to do that, for example maybe it’s more convenient to do two longer days during the week. Dear Helpers Some Availability Mid July (after July 18 to mid August) 5-7 night stays I have Over the years I have completed many building & garden projects with the help of many fabulous helpers from around the world! I’ve recently been travelling myself and now have returned home and there is light weeding in my garden as well as home maintenance that I would appreciate assistance with . Bangalow is a small hinterland town ( around 2000 people) and my home is 15 minutes walk from cafes & the Post Office. Byron Bay is about 20 minutes drive. There is very little public transport so helpers with their own transport are preferred. We use a chicken mandala system, rotating our chicken coop through veggie garden zones to regenerate soil, reduce pests, and grow nutrient-rich food.
