Next vacancies likely to be 2nd week of September. We appreciate help with DIY repairs and maintenance, timber work, help with gardening, housekeeing, cooking, duck and chicken rearing and dog walking on the beach. Fishing, snorkelling, and rainforest walks can help occupy your spare time. We hatched two goslings in mid July and are hand-rearing them, real characters! We start 4 hours outside work at 08.00 hr, five mornings a week and at 9 am on Sundays. Saturday is your day off. So most of the work will be outside, based out of a well-equipped workshop and/or in our vegetable garden and hen and duck coops. ‍ Opportunities on your day off include fishing, sailing, snorkeling, weather permitting of course, rainforest walks and river swimming (Mossman River at The Gorge) and free nature tours on crocodile spotting boats on the Daintree River with the #Daintreerivercruisecentre (as Dave sometimes drives their boats and tour-guides for them when needed). We are establishing a m...

We are near the Shoalwater Marine Park and Penguin Island 40mins from Perth city centre. Very close to public transport, cafes and library. Ideal for beach walking, diving, swimming, cycling, fishing, sailing and windsurfing (beach is 60 metres away). Accommodation would take form of a fully insulated cute tiny garden room with access to undercover cooking area and bathroom. IT is small so please See photos. On week days we are usually working in Perth so we cant provide meals, but a well-stocked supermarket is 200 metres away. When possible we can take turns for meals if possible. We average 2/3 hours a day painting, plumbing gardening and other repairs and can negotiate best time to do that, for example maybe it’s more convenient to do two longer days during the week.Greg is usually available to help you with your car or take you fishing, boating or sightseeing if you’re willing to free him up from his other commitments. When you email please let us know when you plan to get to Pe...

Hi there 😊 I’m Sherree, and my dog Ziggy and I live in our beautiful home in South Fremantle, Western Australia. Your accommodation is a cute pop top caravan parked undercover at the front of my house, right next to the front door. It is self contained with a double bed, seating area, fridge, cooktop, kettle, toaster, air conditioning and running water in the van. You have your own bathroom inside the house, downstairs. The exchange: 2 hours of help per person per night stayed (e.g 7 nights = 14 hours of help). Minimum stay of 7 nights. Food is not included. I need help with general household cleaning duties, organisation, gardening and tidying up outside. Alternatively if you have special skills or an area of study, it may be something that we can use and exchange! Are you amazing at organisation, a designer, a carpenter or have experience in renovation? Do you know how to frame art, or can you draft proof a room? I want to know about your talents and utilise them in our exchange...

We are a mature aged couple working from home and are looking to find an enthusiastic couple, or single person, who can help with general garden maintenance , eg weeding, spraying blackberries and wood splitting etc. In return, we are offering a private room and own bathroom ( see in photos below) in our lovely home. Accomodation and all meals are provided. ( free wi-fi is also available). We are in a quiet and secluded bush setting, and often have kangaroos and wallabies feeding on our property, but still only 3km from the main highway and station. (Melb CBD is 1 hour via train.) It is essential that you are a dog lover! (We have 2) Our 2 Whippets are quite old now, but very friendly and lazy! This would be an excellent opportunity for anyone requiring 2 weeks of accommodation, possibly longer, to share our easy going family life style. We are DEFINITELY a NON SMOKING household, and would prefer not to cater for vegetarians only. The work involves weeding, moving mulch, splitting...

We are a family of five living a self reliant lifestyle, on a small isolated block. We produce our own food, including goat's yoghurt & cheese, wild or raised meats, eggs, fruit and veggies from our established gardens. We have no income from our property as we are always wanting to become more self-sufficient, so guests must be self motivated and hard working, and be able to contribute skills. We do not allow the use of chemicals (shampoo, sunscreen deodorants etc...) as our grey-water goes directly onto the food gardens, but we do supply our own home made organic soaps and creams. Our aim is to create a co-operative living space, so opportunities arise for short and long term or permanent stay. We have three children who we homeschool using natural learning methods. Travellers with children are very welcome. Please visit our website via link below. We are randomly online and prefer telephone contact to make arrangements.

I have a house with a 0.25ha garden that is part of a larger community . We are about 10 mins drive, or an easy hitch, from Byron Bay (and all its tourist attractions); Brunswick or Mullumbimby and 2 mins from the beach. I`m always glad of help with my 1/4 ha - projects like building the vegie garden; trimming back the ever enroaching bush, or projects around the house. The arrangement is 2 hours in exchange for accommodation (14 hours a week), looking after your own food but sharing our kitchen. Gondwana, the larger community that Lotus Ponds is part of, is about 50 people with a community house and hall with weekly community dinner and meditations, yoga, table tennis & pool tables with levels of activity that depend on who is here. The people living here change more often than I update this ! But typically are inspired by some combination of Dance (5Rhythms, Open-Floor, Contact); Permaculture; Surfing; Osho; Personal Growth; Cooking; Music and Nature; in the rest of Gondwana ...

This is a small regenerative herb farm located in the beautiful Huon Valley at Allen’s Rivulet, about 35 minutes south of Hobart. The time is minimum two week stay in exchange for a Regenerative Farming Certificate from our College Living Earth College www.livingearthcollege.org We are often looking for a calm, responsible and self organised person or couple to help care for the farm. This involves around 3 hours per day of steady daily care of the animals and gardens. We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week. Our preference is for a single person or couple who have some skil...

We are located in the idyllic valley of Lorinna; an active, vibrant rural community with a strong cooperative ethos, frequent communal events and working bees, a food co-op, abundant wildlife and wonderfully clean soil, air and water. We live on a property with several other households with whom we share work and resources and a stand-alone photovoltaic and micro-hydro power system. We are a family of four with a 15 year old daughter and a 11 year old son who are homeschooled with a natural learning approach. We primarily need help with finishing building our tiny house, working in our substatial permaculture gardens and food forest and/or playing with the children and helping around the house. Other projects we may be working on include collecting firewood, planting trees, ecological restoration projects, creating art projects, making compost, finishing work on our shared light earth pottery workshop, finishing of the sauna and helping out with projects and events in the wider comm...

We live on a few acres next to a national park in the Perth Hills, 34kms from Perth. We are 15 minutes drive from Midland where you can hop on a train to Perth city or Fremantle. We are a very friendly couple and have hosted quite a few Wwoofers from around the world. You can read some of their references on the Wwoof Australia website. We are vegetarian but not opposed to you eating meat during your stay. If you can cook dinner a couple of times a week that is a big plus. As part of your working hours of course. We have 2 horses and a shy whippet. Louise is an artist and Tim works with electronics. We usually have some sort of creative project on the go in the garden. Our house is one of the oldest in the area and the garden has lots of nice nooks and crannies to eat your lunch if the weather is nice. Great walk tracks and some good local pubs. The work is varied and we are happy for you to work at what time of day suits you best. 2 days a week with no jobs. 5 working days but ve...

We are a group of friends who decided three years ago to restore a beautiful old village/motel in Jindabyne. We are looking for like minded individuals who are passionate about restoration/building and maintenance, love nature and have a good nature and willing to share a laugh over some good food. We have hosted people from all around the world, including all over Europe, Asia, North and South America. The motel is a 5-minute drive from local amenities such as supermarkets, shops, pubs, and a skate park. From June to September there are plenty of winter activities including skiing, tobogganing, and snowboarding at nearby ski resorts, just 30 minutes away. In summer, there are plenty of hikes, mountain biking, fishing, as well as the beach at Jindabyne Lake, Blue Lake and we are 30 minutes from the tallest mountain in Australia- Mount Koscioscko. Yarrangobilly Caves and nearby thermal pools are about one hour away. Our beautiful site features a serene river, where you can go...

At our off- grid solar, wood and gravity powered homestead you can live very close to Nature and learn by helping, how to grow your own food in the big, fully caged vegie garden/ orchard and some of how to build a bush cabin (it could be a winning strategy in years to come). We are long term, committed advocates, for climate change action and we've lived with Sustainability and Creating a low "Carbon Footprint" in mind, for 40 yrs now, settling here, (inland of Taree / Port Macquarie) from scratch in 1980, on 680 acres of rocky ridge forest on the wild and steep NW edge of the Bulga Plateau, 500m above sea level (a very beautiful but challenging location)! Watch our YouTube video below, about our community and us, made by the very talented helpxer, Louie Ablett. Three of us live here now, myself 74, David 84 and Sue 64, who started as a WWOOFer and has moved here with the help of a voluntary activity agreement through Centrelink for over 55s'. Sue came in September 2019 , lost th...

We have enjoyed the journey of building our small eco-home in Yanchep with lots of wonderful HelpXers, and we are now building an extension to our family home in Mt Lawley close to the Perth CBD. Mt Lawley is in a great location for visitors to Perth. It's close to the Derbarl Yerrigan (Swan River), public transport, wetland walks and bikeways ~ and we have bikes for you to use! While our big backyard in Mt Lawley has been much neglected in recent years, in the past it has provided us with a wonderful bounty including eggs, vegis, bananas, mangos, avocados, goats milk, firewood and even hardwood for our kitchen benchtops. This came from a tree which we planted over our 2nd son's placenta 40 years ago! Our home in Mt Lawley has an eclectic, retro green style and all cleaning and personal care products are biodegradable and SLS-free. There is always some gardening and maintenance work required in both Yanchep and Mt Lawley. The design of our Yanchep home (opposite the ocean a...

This is a Standardbred Race Horse (Harness Racing) farm at the foot of Tamborine Mountain. Located 45 minutes from Brisbane in the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland. The closest train station is Beenleigh. Your own car is a plus. We welcome working holiday visa holders with good horse experience and most importantly a passion for horses !! In order to learn your daily task, routine and horses personalities, we will ask you to stay a minimum of 3 weeks. Long stays are really welcome. Your role on the farm would be helping with the daily care of our racehorses. It's an everyday job starting depending of the sun (4.30am in summer and later on winter time). We start each morning training the horses, washing them and feeding them. All the retired horses need to be feed and watered as well. We need to feed and water all the horses again each night before dark. The ideal helpers will be positive, willing and with a some decent english. Because it’s a 30 hec property and there is always some...

We are a family of five living in Fremantle. We have three kids aged 8, 5 and 2 so the house can be quite chaotic as you would imagine with three small children in a fairly small house. If you are comfortable with small kids and never being able to finish a conversation, then this may work for you! I am from Australia and my partner is Indonesian, and we have travelled a lot and recently settled here last year. We lived in Bali for 10 years, and we have done a lot of travelling around the world and have friends in many different countries. We love learning about new cultures, new languages and new cuisine! We also love hanging out together, cooking good food, going to the beach and we are involved with the local homeschooling community. Our house is non smoking, and we are fairly clean living. We are into being outside, being healthy and trying to have a minimal impact on the Earth. So if you are into healthy living and have a chill lifestyle, we may be a good fit. We have a spare...

Lelia, Travis, Manon (14)and Sylvain (12) live 20 mins out of Hobart in a rural area at the base of Mt wellington. We have a large bush property. This year we are specifically looking for people available mid September to help with staining/painting the exterior of the house. We can accommodate helpers from September 15. We are a well traveled international family (Australia/Canada/French) looking for a helping hand with property maintenance and general housekeeping. There are plenty of different options depending on what your strengths are. We are an active family that enjoys working together outdoors and meeting other travelers. We are looking for energetic and cheerful people who would enjoy physical work (the property is on a slope so even basic tasks are more demanding) and working along side us in a family focused positive atmosphere. We tend to work full days then have fully days off in a row so so can go visit this lovely island. We have been with helpx for many years and we...

We live in the inner west suburb of Petersham in Sydney, close to public transport. We enjoy meeting travellers from around the world. We also enjoy help with cleaning, dog walking, sorting, painting & gardening etc. We offer a bedroom with queen bed and good food for 20 hours work a week, which can be done flexibly. And it’s fine if you want to work less hours & organise your own food. If you’re heading north, we have a place 20 minutes north-west of Taree where we’d like help with cleaning, painting, gardening etc but you’d need a car to get there. We are a retired couple plus Alfie the labradoodle and our 21-year old son, Alex. We have hosted many HelpXers over the years.

Hello, I’m David! I have sold my coffee shop after 45 years in the hospitality trade, where travelling workers would once work, however I STILL offer helpers the same excellent own room lodging as homestay & great food in exchange for a little light work and some social contact. I live close the train station and bus stop and am a 30 min trip by train to Melbourne City. There is a vehicle to drive locally if are appropriately licensed. You are welcome to use it. I go to the outback in western New South Wales about 3 times a year for the purpose of experiencing the beautiful "timeless land" of Australia and to legally hunt feral animals which endanger our wildlife. I often take workers to the outback so they can have a taste of the real Australia and I can assure that none of the numerous helpers/woofers I have taken over a many year period did not thoroughly enjoy it. . However the choice is theirs whether they accompany myself or whether they stay and "mind the house" I also oft...

There is work removing trees, tidying up the garden and removing debris from the fires and recent storms. There is also cleaning work helping Cate with property management. During free time you are welcome to borrow our electric scooters and go swimming and exploring. We live in Mallacoota, one of Australia's most beautiful places on the southeast coast. It is a World Biosphere Reserve in the middle of the Croajingolong National Park next to the ocean with an estuarine lake system and many, many beaches. We are 2km from the town centre and 3km from the nearest beach. There are about seven magnificent beaches within 10km of us. Mallacoota is 540km from Melbourne, 630km from Sydney and 360km from Canberra with limited access via public transport so keep that in mind when planning your schedule. Our family includes M...
