Hi you young and beautiful travelers, Bundaberg is a less known touristic town, with a mild climate, beautiful beaches and wonderful surroundings. It is also an agricultural country town with many backpackers hostels . With a bit of lack there might be opportunities for paid work on a farm. It’s only 350km north of Brisbane and easily reachable by train. My home is only a few minutes drive from the town center, yet secluded and peaceful, sitting on 2.5 acres. I am looking for people who would like to visit this promising coastal town and help with general house and backyard maintenance, around 4 -5 hours a day, 6 days a week. The person helping me will have a home away from home and a cosy room to rest in. I am hoping he/she will treat the place with respect and consideration, observing the few requirements related to the use of bathroom and kitchen. Otherwise, regretfully, we will have to part ways sooner then expected. A good home cooked meal and an occasional glass of wine is...

At our off- grid solar, wood and gravity powered homestead you can live very close to Nature and learn by helping, how to grow your own food in the big, fully caged vegie garden/ orchard and some of how to build a bush cabin (it could be a winning strategy in years to come). We are long term, committed advocates, for climate change action and we've lived with Sustainability and Creating a low "Carbon Footprint" in mind, for 40 yrs now, settling here, (inland of Taree / Port Macquarie) from scratch in 1980, on 680 acres of rocky ridge forest on the wild and steep NW edge of the Bulga Plateau, 500m above sea level (a very beautiful but challenging location)! Watch our YouTube video below, about our community and us, made by the very talented helpxer, Louie Ablett. Three of us live here now, myself 74, David 84 and Sue 64, who started as a WWOOFer and has moved here with the help of a voluntary activity agreement through Centrelink for over 55s'. My farm, located near Kaniva, is a commercial agricultural enterprise in the Wimmera region of western Victoria (midway between Melbourne and Adelaide). It has been owned by my family for more than 130 years. In 2006 I purchased the major portion of the productive land from the family Estate, and now annually crops nearly 425ha to spring wheat, barley, oats, field beans and canola. I am fully responsible for the management and on-going development of the farm, with a "share-farmer" undertaking many of the farm labour components. I do not have enough work to keep you busy long-term, but I certainly have enough for 3-5 days. The deal I am offering is that you help me with general farm chores (e.g. burning up heaps of branches, some fencing repairs, cleaning up branches under trees, caring for my lawns and garden, cutting up firewood, planting farm trees, etc) and I provide free meals and accommodation and a modest hourly payment. Depending on the day/weather we would work for 4-5 ho...

My wife Sally and I are an Asian friendly couple who is keen to host a cultural exchange with any helper in the hope that the experience will mutually enrich and benefit both parties! We live in beautiful Sydney Australia in a spacious apartment which is conveniently located opposite the Auburn train station and in the midst of a busy shopping centre with Woolworth supermarket, grocery shops, meat and fish shops, fruits and vegetable shops, hair/nails and massage salons, convenient shops, post office and medical centres. Our apartment is also a short walk to Churches/Mosque, community centres and parks and playgrounds. We have a beloved pet dog named Buddy, a 9+ years old Japanese Spitz and house trained. Unfortunately, he has gone blind recently due to a condition known as SARD (sudden acute retina dysfunction). Luckily, he still has good hearing and smell and that allows him to get familiar with the home surroundings where he is most comfortable. A daily routine with Buddy is walk ...

We are an intentional community-based Yoga retreat located in a beautiful natural bush setting on the edge of Sydney. We have included some general information below. If you have any questions please ask. What type of person are we looking for? We are looking for community-minded, hardworking people who are respectful and helpful to be part of our team. Since we are an intentional community-based yoga retreat, we expect people to work together. The people that live here, are not volunteers - but karmic yogis. Tasks: The tasks are generally the maintenance and running of the Yoga centre, 5 hours a day, 5 days a week. The work depends on what skills you have or what you'd like to do or learn how to do. We're happy to train you and provide references upon request (which can be helpful in the future). The work is often unsupervised so you must be self-motivated. Currently, we are looking for people with the following skills - and most importantly: experience. - Cooking (we are a ve...

Would like to learn and look after a vineyard and winery this season, no experience is necessary. Established in 1998 and hosting HELPXers for over 15 years, it is the only certified organic winery in the Perth region. It is situated in the Swan Valley, 7km from Elenbrook and 15km from the Perth airport. The vineyard has 3,000 vines, a large house we live in, a machinery shed, and a winery/distillery on the property. Winemaking occurs during the summer months from January to March. A large, spacious room with a double bed, attached to the house, has a private entrance. Applications for mature couples as applicants are now open. Opportunities for vineyard and maintenance work are available. Couples with Visitor Visas are also welcome. I want (NON-smoking) volunteers who wish to experience domestic, distillery, vineyard, and winemaking work. During the season, there are generally outdoor activities, such as winery and vine work, plus gardening if it is not raining or too hot. Be ...

This is a 60ha peaceful, forested property in southeast Queensland, 70km from Gympie or Maryborough. 10ha of rainforest bordering a freshwater creek and swimming hole with lungfish, platypus and turtles. We are located in overlapping environments (temperate/tropical, coastal/inland), creating a vast diversity of life in a variety of habitats. We are slowly building shelter (timber, solar powered cottage) and outbuildings, mixed orchard, veggie garden and food trails. We have now completed new visitor quarters. Our general philosophy is to rehabilitate forest and ecosystem while eking out an existence for ourselves. Work includes weeding, gardening, orchard care, bee keeping, building/construction, tree planting, propagation and forest management. Electricity is from a stand alone(off grid)solar power system. We live in a beautiful part of the world between the beach and Margaret River town. We live on a farm with multi- generational families, we work towards a lot of self sufficiency and we work off the farm also. Our interests include music and wellbeing. The Margaret River community is vibrant and has many activities on offer. Our family welcomes cross-cultural experience. We like our Helpxers to be happy; we offer clean, comfortable, private caravan accommodation. Tasks are dependent on helpxer skills, farm, family and home requirements (such as whipper snipping, gardening, wood splitting, domestic tasks, artistic skills and painting). Having a car is necessary as there is no public transport. We ask for 1 hour work a day (couple) and 1.5 hours work a day (single) which means that helpxers can get work off the farm, if you like. Kind regards :) Sabine, Tony and Family

Am looking for friendly easy going people willing to take initiative to do the work required. I speak Japanese and have hosted many Japanese visitors in the past. Work is 20 hours per week, plus helping out at meal times, cleaning up after yourself as required. We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week. This is for those of you who plan ahead. We are full until mid July, right at the start of our best fishing season and in the middle of our best weather when at least some of the time we should be cutting great timber from unwanted trees using a 26 inch/56cm bandsaw. So anyone who loves fishing, snorkelling on inshore reefs and is good at DIY or carpentry and loves the simple, quiet, rural life by the beach, next to the rainforest, this is for you 🤗. We appreciate help with DIY construction, repairs and maintenance, timber work, boat work, metal work repairs to trailers and for help with gardening, housekeeing, cooking, duck and chicken rearing and dog walking on the beach. Fishing, snorkelling, and rainforest walks can help occupy your spare time. We are looking for reasonably good DIY handymen and women, capable of working effectively, when necessary, on your own or as a pair and, ideally, someone who also has some gardening experience, but that is not really necessary, learn o...

HI, I am Paul, I live on my 14M monohull steel sloop (one mast) called "Kakadu". Aboriginal name for medicine plant. I have been cruising up and down the Qld coast for 10yrs. I would greatly appreciate some help on the boat to do cleaning and maintenance. Jobs like sanding wood and steel, painting wood and steel and cleaning other surfaces. I also appreciate a hand in sailing the boat and I'm OK teacher. I return to town when supplies are needed. I carry 1000L of water.

This is for those of you who plan ahead. We are full until mid July, right at the start of our best fishing season and in the middle of our best weather when at least some of the time we should be cutting great timber from unwanted trees using a 26 inch/56cm bandsaw. Some of the paints aren't very nice but I will provide proper breathing equipment and gloves. The fun part is your living on the water in awesome spots. I have snorkelling and fishing gear and a dingy to explore with. It's easy in the Whitsundays to sail to a different spot every few days . Stay, explore do some jobs. I also appreciate a hand in sailing the boat and I'm OK teacher. I return to town when supplies are needed. I carry 1000L of water. I am 60 yrs old, have worked in Engineering studied Economics and had a cattle farm. I am a happy drinker (we call them Sundowners, sometimes before) and I do smoke.
