We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. I am looking to find one or two people to assist me with my camel rides business on rhe weekends and help with the training on camels in harness during the week . To be suitable for this opportunity you must have some large animal experience.I can offer free accommodation which is a self contained bus with its own shower and toilet, included is power and free WiFi.As well as free accommodate you will be given $200 per wk for food. This can be quite hard work at times but very rewarding when you see camels learn and begin to understand what you are teaching them. ANIMAL CARE VOLUNTEER at a sanctuary for rescued farm animals. Farm Animal Rescue is a registered charity that rescues farm animals from abuse, neglect and situations where they are in danger and provides them with a forever home. Free accommodation is provided in a shared room in our volunteer bungalow in return for three and a half days per week providing animal care. No experience is necessary, full training will be given. We reimburse food costs up to $10 a day. Minimum stay is two weeks.. Days will include dawn and dusk with breaks in between. Duties include daily cleaning of barns and coops, feeding, health checks, light maintenance work, monitoring herd movements and intensive care of ill, old and baby animals.
