UPDATE: ***I have enough tasks for 1-2 helpers for a few days from 17th December up to 23rd December maximum So, if you're happy with a short stay let me know. Since the weather will be hot and I'll be working early some of those dates, I will be relying on helpers to get up early, do a few hours before the heat then the rest of the day will be available to go sightseeing. Skills I need this time could include basic construction, gardening, sewing, and labouring. I am a career Broadcaster translating to Strategic Intervention life coaching and Real Estate investing. I have space in my newly built home that has a great garden (under construction - almost finished) in a lovely suburb of Perth. I'm excited about all the wonderful stuff in front of me, but need some help dealing with the general house and garden stuff, minor construction, painting, cooking or maybe in the office with my start-up business. You choose. I have a very good house-cleaner, so that is not on the task list; onl...

We are sorry but we are No longer able to accept smokers because of health reasons. Bremer Bay and surrounding area remains a beautiful pristine place to visit with wonderful beaches for swimming, surfing, diving and fishing. The Fitzgerald National Park is a World Heritage listed area with amazing things to see that you will not see else where. The lake is filling up after two years of less than half our rainfall, so canoeing is possible, there are many other waterways within a reasonable distance to canoe on also. The farm is an organic farm where we have been growing some of our own food so work is needed in this area to increase production to become self-sufficient in the future. We will soon be hatching chicks and ducklings which if you haven't experienced before can be very rewarding. We have boer goats that have finished kidding now but the kids are still young enough to be entertaining. Just before Christmas 2018 we had a large wild fire which burnt 600 of the 800ha far...

My husband, Tony, and I are very happy to offer self-contained accommodation for short stays of one or two weeks for a couple or two friends (any genders) who would like to explore the beautiful Yarra Valley or who are in between jobs (Often longer stays are possible depending on whether we have family coming to stay and using the studio.) It is about 1 hour by car from Melbourne. We have a lemon orchard, vegetable garden, and horse paddocks. We are not a commericial lavender farm although we have a lot of lavender growing in the gardens. There are some rescue horses (not rideable) and a pony , chickens, family dogs and a swimming pool. Our daughters are grown up and living in Melbourne so we normally just see them on the weekend and when we look afer our grandchildren one day each...

My husband and I moved to this 240 acre farm in the South Burnett Region of South East Qld 2 years ago and have recently moved into a purpose built cottage (to reduce our footprint) relying on rainwater for the house and bore water for the gardens and to reduce our footprint further we have installed a composting toilet. 40 fruit trees have been planted and raised garden beds made which is the start of our edible oasis. Next on the jobs list is creating wicking beds from IBC totes and fencing the house yard for our two Jack Russell dogs. We have an old thunder box we would like to restore to make into an outdoor composting toilet (let us know if you’re handy on the tools). There’s plenty to do and learn around the farm depending on your ability and interests. Enthusiasm is a must. There’s gardening and learning about soil health, learning how to erect barbed wire and electric fencing, animal husbandry, building, cleaning and general maintenance. There’s always something different g...

I am an aquatic ecologist who has fortunately been working out of our coastal rain-forest property for 35 years. Driven by strong curiosity, I have recently been developing long-term data sets on the animal life in the forest that surrounds our home, plus on tropical marine fish that are steadily increasing in numbers under the influence of climate change at the nearby very beautiful Seal Rocks area (for details click on my website link below). We have 20 acres with 2 acres cleared and the remainder moist tall forest and rainforest. It is on the coast 3 hrs drive north of Sydney (1.5km from Smiths Lake; 30km south of Forster) See my blog link below to glimpse the accommodation, typical work and fun. We have a 180 squ m vegetable garden at times needing attention which has been enclosed to keep out our friends the wallabies (pademelons), possums, parrots and native bush turkeys. Bush regeneration is another activity as well as assisting in ecological surveys of local rivers when t...

We are new to this platform but have been on workaway for about 6 years. We (My partner Ruby and me (Ross) and our 4 y/o Harriet) live on a little property in Central Victoria about 2 hours from Melbourne. We have been here for 7 years and are slowly chipping away at different projects from house fix ups to garden projects. Ross's background is in horticulture and landscape design and construction so we are putting in a lot of effort to the gardens. He also teaches a couple of days a week online. Ruby is a social worker, she works 4 days per week. Our 4 y/o daughter Harriet loves craft, games and playing doctors and dress ups. We also have two gorgeous/ energetic dogs and chickens. Our place is set on the edge of a creek on about 4 acres of land at the bottom of a ridge. We have an old tavern from around 1860 (now a house), a fairly new studio and a bungalow, caravan and workshops on our property. Ruby and I are both vegetarians and really like food! We are a 5 minute drive the cl...

Hello everybody, Bonjour français welcomed! We are a young family of 4. We live on the Northern Beaches in beautiful Pittwater on an island in 1 of the 3 harbours of Sydney, so boat access only!!! It is a beautiful place, with a very close knit community and very different from most places you've been to! Not easy every day but I guess that is also what brought us here! We really like to meet new people and to share our simple lifestyle. We have a few jobs that may be required so depending if you are a single person or a couple and depending of what is needing we might change things around. We are in the process of building so things to do with preparing the built or carrying building materials can be things on the job list. But we would love to get some help around the house. And also maybe some help with kids. We'd be looking for 4-5 hours work a day for 5 days. This could be changed to 6 hours a day 3 days a week if we really start the build. Everything will be talked to wi...

PLEASE READ THE WHOLE DESCRIPTION TO AVOID MISUNDERSTANDINGS I would appreciate help with much needed garden work and sometimes any other handyman jobs you might feel able to tackle that come up, and prefer someone over the age of 40 as I am 80 and communication might come easier that way, unless you are experienced with communicating with the older folk. These would e my priorities. Also, basic domestic cleaning too. I live on the Redcliffe Peninsula, approximately 46km north of Brisbane city and approximately 80km south from the Sunshine Coast (Maroochydore) so this might be a handy stopping place for solo travelers who may be heading north or south as I would probably have just enough work JUST 4 DAYS. In exchange for 4 hours morning help a day, I can offer breakfast and lunch, (leaving every afternoon free to explore surrounding areas - you are welcome to bring in takeaway food for your evening meal if you prefer to eat in.) Due to the hot Queensland summers, you may also prefer th...

I am interested in hearing from suitable single female helpers that are able to stay around 3-4 weeks and can assist with care and maintenance of my sailing catamaran and home. My preference for female helpers is largely to do with the type of work you will perform and attention to detail that is required, and I have found female helpers to be much better than males over the last 10 years of hosting HelpX persons. When I have work that is better suited to males I will advertise as such….just not needed now. We will spend some time around the Capricorn coast and sunshine coast then cruise out to Great Keppel island and Lady Musgrave reef as weather permits. I have no schedule at present but there will be plenty of places to visit and or depart from. You will be an active, motivated person interested in marine life, reefs, turtles, fishing, snorkeling and the ocean as well as wanting to experience life on a comfortable sailing boat. I ask you to volunteer a few hours work each day in...

Set in a hidden valley of Woonona, this 1 acre oasis is on a journey from forgotten, overgrown grassland to Permaculture wonderland! We have been practicing aspects of sustainability for over 15 years including Permaculture gardening, sustainable building and creating community. Sarah has a deep level of knowledge about market gardening, soil building and organic food & is a qualified Permaculture teacher. Ben is skilled at building with recycled, reclaimed and natural materials, tending fruit trees and teaching ecology & sustainability. The property is located about 5 minutes bike ride from lovely beaches and 5 minutes walk from local shops and access to buses into Wollongong. It`s also only 1.5hrs from Sydney by train. We spent 2010 WWOOFing around the planet with our two children, so we understand how to be good hosts. We love sharing lifestyle and experiences, so hopefully we can help you explore this wonderful part of the world. The current projects involve a range of gardeni...

We live in a large old house 20km inland of Byron Bay, in a quiet area of farmland and bush. We have a large garden and vegetable garden which is where we primarily need help. We have chickens, cats and 2 donkeys! We can offer a separate 'cottage' to stay in, and we provide all meals- some helpers have not wanted to go home! There is our new natural pool to cool off in too. In return we request 4 hours of genuine work per day. We are 8km from the nearest village so your own car is a big advantage, although we can pick you up if you don't have transport. Our family loves the cultural exchange aspect of HelpX and looks forward to meeting you and learning about your country. Right now we have work to do outdoors mainly weeding, some heavy lifting, pool cleaning, painting & gardening.

We are not a commercial farm. so CANNOT sign for the 88 day visa 🌻 Hi, we are looking for one or two keen, healthy helpers to work with us on a range of tasks. We have a small berry orchard and vegetable gardens with roaming Guinea fowl, friendly kangaroos and our cute indoor house cats. The rest of the property is natural woodlands and we try to live as sustainably as possible. Work at moment is raking and clearing around our property, weeding the berry area and planting seedlings in our garden. We have built our own unique home and there are still some parts to complete. Helpers with some skills are welcome but an actual interest in experiencing a more sustainable life during your stay with us is more important. We don't take bookings in advance but if you are ready to come help now or soon contact us. All your meals are provided and we eat together to plan our day. The food is tasty vegetarian and we are happy to cater for vegans. Your accommodation is in a private and comfortable...

My husband, Tony, and I are very happy to offer self-contained accommodation for short stays of one or two weeks for a couple or two friends (any genders) who would like to explore the beautiful Yarra Valley or who are in between jobs (Often longer stays are possible depending on whether we have family coming to stay and using the studio.) Our property, Lavender Farm, is about 6 kilometers from the small tourist town of Healesville in the Yarra Valley. The Yarra Valley is wine-growing region at the foot of the Great Dividing Ranges. It is about 1 hour by car from Melbourne. We have a lemon orchard, vegetable garden, and horse paddocks. We are not a commericial lavender farm although we have a lot of lavender growing in the gardens. There are some rescue horses (not rideable) and a pony , chickens, family dogs and a swimming pool.

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Hi, we are Ben and Danielle. We are looking for couples or two friends to help with general household maintenance, cleaning, feeding livestock (dogs, horses, goats and chooks) and gardening / landscaping. Ben works in management and I am an Agriculture Teacher at the local high school. We are a busy family of 4 living in a large home nestled between the Blue Mountains and Wollemi National Parks. We are 15 minutes from Richmond train station and 1.5 hours from Sydney CBD. We are looking for a dynamic, self motivated couple to come and help our family. Come and experience life on a working cattle, seed and hay property. We run 300 head of cattle on our 560 Ha home farm, set in a beautiful valley. Join in with us as we work around the property, including tasks such as mustering, stock work in the cattle yards, fencing and machinery and vehicle maintenance. Come and see what we do with the seed and hay we grow. You might like to have a go at cleaning and bagging grass seed or coming along for the drive when we deliver hay. We rely on 4WD motor bikes and tractors for many tasks and may take the time to train you how to use these safely. Apart from experiencing farm life, we look for help in our garden and vegetable garden, as well as odd jobs in and around the house. We take care to work with safety in mind at all times and take the time to explain safety to our guests. Travel insurance is recommended.

Set in a hidden valley of Woonona, this 1 acre oasis is on a journey from forgotten, overgrown grassland to Permaculture wonderland! We have been practicing aspects of sustainability for over 15 years including Permaculture gardening, sustainable building and creating community. Ben is skilled at building with recycled, reclaimed and natural materials, tending fruit trees and teaching ecology & sustainability.
