PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON. Need help with a garden clean up, at the moment. You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one rough headed, skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town. It is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay, 2 hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around. There is a mountain on my farm with lots of t...

****taking bookings for July/August 2026**** I have been a Helpx and similar host for 12 years and have really enjoyed meeting, mentoring and sharing my life with so many travellers from every corner of the world. In January 2025, I started a new adventure, moving from Lowden Ridge, my beautiful scenic 100 acre working farm (where i maintained a productive olive grove and also raised cattle, sheep and goats), to a much smaller and tranquil 8 acre hobby farm which I have nicknamed Shady Acres. The new property is set amongst a majestic grove of eucalyptus trees, and is located in Irish Town, just 5 minutes north of the town of Donnybrook. In the last 16 months, with the help of some wonderful backpackers, I have built new fences, new veggie gardens, started a new orchard of fruit and nut trees, built small shelters for the goats and revamped the old chicken coop. I am currently seeking helpers to continuing growing my new farm. Some of the projects planned in the coming months i...

This is for those of you who plan ahead. We are full until mid July, right at the start of our best fishing season and in the middle of our best weather when at least some of the time we should be cutting great timber from unwanted trees using a 26 inch/56cm bandsaw. So anyone who loves fishing, snorkelling on inshore reefs and is good at DIY or carpentry and loves the simple, quiet, rural life by the beach, next to the rainforest, this is for you 🤗. We appreciate help with DIY construction, repairs and maintenance, timber work, boat work, metal work repairs to trailers and for help with gardening, housekeeing, cooking, duck and chicken rearing and dog walking on the beach. Fishing, snorkelling, and rainforest walks can help occupy your spare time. We are looking for reasonably good DIY handymen and women, capable of working effectively, when necessary, on your own or as a pair and, ideally, someone who also has some gardening experience, but that is not really necessary, learn o...

Our farm is located on the coast in Bookara, which is located 20km north of Dongara and 45km south of Geraldton. Dongara is situated roughly 360km from Perth and is a beautiful town. Has its own port also, which is called Port Denison, so twin towns! Port Denison is renowned for having some of the biggest Cray Fishing boats in Australia. They are great to see. Geraldton is a 30min drive from our farm and is a rural city. We are surrounded by some great things, the Midwest has to offer. Our Wild Flowers are one of the best sights to see also, you will see some unbelievable wild flowers thru August and September. Our farm is situated in a perfect location for anyone looking at seeing any Midwest attractions. My family and I are looking at setting up a short stay accommodation destination, for people who would love to experience the, Sun, Surf and fishing and all the other Midwest attractions. My partner Richard and I are both in our 30s and we need your help with a variety of projects in our lovely tree house. We live in a bit rainforest block with jungle all around us (tree frogs in the bathroom are the norm!) It's just the two of us and our two dogs, so we could use a little help around the place to maintain the grounds and the buildings. We'd really like people who can stay for a while - a month at the minimum, and longer preferred Jobs we'd appreciate help with include: Grounds maintenance (e.g. hedge trimming, leafblowing, repairs) Vehicle maintenance (with Richard) Fish tank cleaning (with Lynne) Pool cleaning Looking after dogs if we're away Chicken care Being good with dogs is a must - we have two big dogs, one of who isn't the friendliest with strangers but is your best friend once you get to know him. We also have lots of fish tanks, a chicken coop and are hoping to get a snake soon. We have very wide-ranging hobbies and skills, and hopefully we can share thes...

I have sold my property and am living on a property across the road until I decide what I want to do next. I am in urgent need of some help to sort out the garden here as it has been neglected for a while and I have had an injury and can't do the things that I used to do. I am on the Sunshine Coast. 20 minutes from most places and 40 mins to the beach Permaculture and Biodynamics practiced. Compost making. Worm farms. . *Help me post a lot of surplus things I need to sell on Market Place that are left over from my old place. *Help with a garage sale once surplus stuff is sorted. * Weed over grown vegetable garden and plant food for winter. The welcome rain we have had has sent the weeds crazy, not a hard job but rewarding to see the finished product. An opportunity to learn new skills to take with you on your journey. People with their own camper, also welcome as I have plenty of room. Can pick up from Cooroy. I have been a wwoofer/ helpx host since 2000 and have had great e...

Our wonderful helpers from Argentina & France have left to go to a winter job in the snowfields. They loved it here, so we are now seeking some new helpers as there is still plenty to do in the garden over winter. ENJOY THE FREEDOM & BEAUTY OF SOUTH GIPPSLAND. Property is a botanic garden of Australian native plants, many rare or endangered, plus an acre of plants for cut flowers, mainly proteas, banksias and tea trees. Lots of wildlife. We need help with weeding, mowing, mulching, planting and general clean up as the property is too big for the two of us to maintain. Accommodation is very comfortable, private, with fully set up kitchen in a studio style cottage with a queen size bed and smart TV. Recently installed a new electric oven with airfry function. Has split system heating and cooling. It is separate from the main house. It was a very popular AirBnB destination but we have decided not to do it anymore as it is too much extra work. The property is rural; half way between Wontha...

Please read our profile carefully, and see our website and instagram. If you feel you are the right person or people for us, we look forward to receiving your application. This is a permaculture small farm on the edge of Violet Town, just 800m from the train station. The farm is well established, as most tree planting was done between 1996 and 2000, and the tree crops are well maintained and productive. Murrnong has a large established fruit and nut orchard, an olive grove, vegetable gardens, chickens, milking goats, bees, forestry for shelter and timber, and large dam for irrigation and swimming. Our house is made of timber and mud brick, and we catch our own water. Most of our food comes from the house garden and farm, including a huge range of fresh fruit all year round, a range of vegetables for each season, honey, cheese, olive oil, table olives, and home killed or hunted meat. We eat shared meals, most meals are vegetarian. Type of jobs: farm and garden work, combined with l...

I have a lovely natural building studio space, made of super adobe, that is used as a meditation/healing/sacred temple space, set in a lovely slightly wild permaculture garden, with a bee hive, flowers, veggies etc. The studio would be completely your own private space. I am happy to share some meditation/healing practices with you if you are interested. I would love help in the garden, with weeding, mulching, planting, harvesting and helping to make the garden creative, abundant, fertile and beautiful. Also need help going to the beach to collect seaweed for the garden beds. I would like to provide some meals, and have you be independent for some as well. I really like to meet and be social with helpers , and also to spend a lot of time in meditation and writing. I live in a little rural suburb near a beautiful mangrove area , and I am 40 minutes from wilsons prom, and less to other beautiful areas. A drivers license would be very helpful .

Hi beautiful people! I’m Christine, a happy spirited former language and arts teacher working across two continents. Since I retired I work in the natural health field. I live on an urban block called The Roo‘s Pouch, where I maintain a sustainable vegetable garden and created a community of nice people living with me. I live in one of the buildings on this sunny property which runs on rainwater harvesting. We avoid chlorine and contaminates by filtering, harmonizing, and energizing our own water though Ionisation. Water conservation is part of life for me. You can come to Maryborough via plane, bus or train. The Hervey Bay Airport is only 30min from my home. There are meanwhile several bus companies to choose from. If you use the train please book Maryborough town from the drop down menu. The shuttle bus from the train station in Maryborough west (20 min out of town) is free of charge if it is pre-booked. As international travelers you qualify for a concession card on Queensland tra...

Hello, I’m David! I have sold my coffee shop after 45 years in the hospitality trade, where travelling workers would once work, however I STILL offer helpers the same excellent own room lodging as homestay & great food in exchange for a little light work and some social contact. I live close the train station and bus stop and am a 30 min trip by train to Melbourne City. There is a vehicle to drive locally if are appropriately licensed. You are welcome to use it. I go to the outback in western New South Wales about 3 times a year for the purpose of experiencing the beautiful "timeless land" of Australia and to legally hunt feral animals which endanger our wildlife. I often take workers to the outback so they can have a taste of the real Australia and I can assure that none of the numerous helpers/woofers I have taken over a many year period did not thoroughly enjoy it. . However the choice is theirs whether they accompany myself or whether they stay and "mind the house" I also oft...

We live on a 5 acre hobby farm in the beautiful Huon Valley, Southern Tasmania. Our family consists of three young adult children (two live at home), two horses, many chickens, ducks, geese, goats and two gorgeous dogs. We grow organic vegetables and breed heritage chickens in an attempt to be more sustainable. Jobs involve general gardening, helping with the animals and housekeeping. If you would like a Tassie small farm experience message us with some details of the work you have previously done. We have separate accommodation, with a bathroom. All our HelpXers have loved working and living with us and I hope you will too (please remember Tassie is a cold place in winter). There are many areas of natural beauty in Southern Tasmania which are all fairly close to us. For example, the Hartz mountains, Hastings Caves and the Tahune Airwalk. We live close to a sleepy village called Cygnet and Hobart is only a 40min drive away. (Unfortunately we can't approve 2nd year visas)

We have been hosting helpers for over 12 years, in Queensland, Victoria and now the far south coast of NSW. We have recently moved from a 600 acre wilderness retreat to a house on a headland in Tathra, a wilderness of a different kind, with the sea in all its moods, and National Parks within easy reach. The headland walking track is literally across the road, and Tathra main beach is a 20 minute walk. We offer accommodation in a cosy bedroom with its own bathroom (also household laundry). The room has a sea view, and is private from the rest of the house. We share kitchen and living spaces, and generally share our meals together. The work required is 4-5 hours work a day, helping with gardening, landscaping and occasional building. We are looking for people who want who are fit, strong and happy to work outdoors. Please bring suitable clothes, boots and hat. There may be occasional days working on our daughter's property, a simply gorgeous location in the Bega hinterland, with t...

Our beautiful mountainside home is just 10 minutes from Bellingen, a small vibrant community of creatives, environmentalists, and dairy farmers on the mid north coast of NSW. The city of Coffs harbours is just 30 minutes away. Situated half way between Sydney and Brisbane. We are 10 minutes drive from swimming holes in the Bellinger river and 20 minutes to the ocean for a swim or surf. We are a middle aged couple who have travelled extensively both in Australia and internationally. We have 5 adult children and are ourselves both from large diverse families. We gave up city life in 2024 for the wonderful life in nature and attempting to provide ourselves and others with our own foods from our land. Our property has magical views over the Bellinger valley and beyond. The property backs onto State forest and we take our Dog Cisco for at least daily walks along our beautiful fire trail beneath large gum trees and She Oaks. The property is incredibly peaceful and serene. It’s a special p...

Hi, my name is Mary. I live on the border of NSW and Victoria, a town called Albury. There is a train service to Albury from Sydney about 9 hours and Melbourne about 5 hours train trip. I am happy to pick someone from the Albury railway station. Albury is a pretty town on the Hume Highway. It is inland on the Murray River and there are a lot of local attractions, vineyards, historical small towns, snow fields and many more, only a few hours drive. I am located in town, with the railway station and the airport not too far, about 15minutes drive. I am fully vaccinated and require the same of a helper. I only take Non-smokers (meaning you do not smoke at all, outside as well). Currently I am asking for 2.5hrs a day for board only. You can cook for yourselves, buy supplies locally and after cooking clean your area. I would like help with the garden and other general duties around the house, such as cleaning. If you are travelling this way, either going to Melbourne or locally and can hel...

We are near the Shoalwater Marine Park and Penguin Island 40mins from Perth city centre. Very close to public transport, cafes and library. Ideal for beach walking, diving, swimming, cycling, fishing, sailing and windsurfing (beach is 60 metres away). Accommodation would take form of a fully insulated cute tiny garden room with access to undercover cooking area and bathroom. IT is small so please See photos. On week days we are usually working it Perth so we cant provide meals, but a well-stocked supermarket is 200 metres away. We average 2/3 hours a day painting, plumbing gardening and other repairs and can negotiate best time to do that, for example maybe it’s more convenient to do two longer days during the week. When you email please let us know when you plan to get to Perth and how you are travelling (flying in, driving or bus etc.). If you are already in Perth, where you are staying and how long you would like stay. We can send you more details when you enquire, including advi...

Currently my house has no stairs, electricity or water due to renovation. When I know exact dates I will add them here. If you are going to offer cooking, I have no need for this. I’m looking for friendly, reliable backpackers to stay and assist with my home. My home is a classic Queenslander in Woolloongabba, very close to South Bank, the CBD, and public transport. It’s a safe, quiet area and an ideal base for exploring Brisbane. About Me: I work full-time as a computer trainer. I enjoy the arts and live close to the major galleries at South Bank. I also enjoy cycling, walking, and have done cycle touring in the UK and parts of Europe. I value meeting new people and hearing their travel stories. The help I need: I’m gradually renovating my house and garden. I am about to finish my first big renovation, lifting my house. After my house lift, I need assistance with the following: . Move items from back garden to under house . Moving soil around backyard garden so garden is flat . ...

We are looking for up to 2 people to help feed cattle and sheep, and a handyman that would like to do some building work. We have approximately 2000 hectares of undulating country, situated in the middle of New South Wales. We run sheep, cattle, and do some farming. We run approximately 1500 sheep, which need lamb marking and shearing. With the cattle we have mustering and yard work. We also have daily feeding of calves and lambs. The bee hives need some attention, eg extracting honey, moving boxes around, cleaning area. We also have chickens and turkeys, which need attention daily and working dogs to be cared for. With fencing and building we also need help. We have composting, vegetable garden and fruit trees. When it rains we need help with our grain farming. Currently we need help with cutting fire wood around the property, this will consist of 3 to 4 hours per day and can help get you some pocket money and also experience the land. If you’re interested in helping on a beef cattle farm, cuddling foals and experiencing the Aussie farm life, you are most welcome here. We have a number of building jobs going at the moment so if you are handy with mechanics, metal, wood or a paint brush, that would be very helpful to us. Your daily tasks would be to feed the animals in the morning and evening, and caring for the mare and foal, gardening and general farm chores or in the household. There is always something to do. It would be great if you know how to drive a manual vehicle and you can learn to drive a tractor or a quad here. In exchange you can choose between a cozy room or caravan with everything inside that you need and I provide food for all your meals. You prepare your own breakfast and lunch and in the evening we have a home cooked dinner together. We also have unlimited WiFi and a car that you can use to visit the local area. We are located on the edge of a small country town of Blayney in NSW, 3 hours w...

Our place sits high on a hill with spectacular 360 degree views of mountains, valleys, rolling hills and city lights overlooking all of Albury/Wodonga, twin cities on the Murray River. We are on the main freeway between Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney. Large luxury cedar and rock homestead on 100 acres. Lots of historic church features incorporated into the homestead and cute rustic outbuildings , antiques and artistic detail abound. Beautiful and unique large garden filled with 100+ sculptures, many paths to explore, ponds, organic vegetable and berry gardens, free range poultry and wildlife galore and many other interesting features. Lots of fun things to do and see here and everyone who has stayed has left with a happy and memorable experience. We have been a host farm for over 18 years now with well over 250 helpers having stayed.

The city of Coffs harbours is just 30 minutes away. Situated half way between Sydney and Brisbane.

Moving soil around backyard garden so garden is flat . ...

We are a group of friends who decided three years ago to restore a beautiful old village/motel in Jindabyne. We are looking for like minded individuals who are passionate about restoration/building and maintenance, love nature and have a good nature and willing to share a laugh over some good food. We have hosted people from all around the world, including all over Europe, Asia, North and South America. The motel is a 5-minute drive from local amenities such as supermarkets, shops, pubs, and a skate park. From June to September there are plenty of winter activities including skiing, tobogganing, and snowboarding at nearby ski resorts, just 30 minutes away. In summer, there are plenty of hikes, mountain biking, fishing, as well as the beach at Jindabyne Lake, Blue Lake and we are 30 minutes from the tallest mountain in Australia- Mount Koscioscko. Yarrangobilly Caves and nearby thermal pools are about one hour away. Our beautiful site features a serene river, where you can go...

Hello Helpers ! I am seeking 1 or 2 Helpers, preferably a couple. I live in a gorgeous, creative , alternative town about 3 hours south of Perth. I live on a community next to the Forrest surrounded by hills and farmland. There’s plenty of wildlife and the views are amazing ! I live about 2 kilometres out of town, Balingup is small but has interesting shops and good coffee. There’s a variety of jobs to do so you can mix it up. I need help with a garden tidy up, culvert and gutter clean ( I have a powered water gun ! 🔫 ), house clean, painting, and cooking of basic meals, I have a veggie heavy diet, and eat healthily but with delicious treats like ice cream, chocolate etc. I ask for 5 hours a day Monday to Friday with weekends off in exchange for all food and accommodation. So you don’t get confused …some of the reviews are from when I lived in Fremantle. I look forward to hearing from you 🙂 Thanks Julia.

I also have bee hives that need some attention a...

Usually it is only a one to two week stay but that is negotiable depending on how much work there is and how well we all get on. Sometimes I will accept ...
