Hello travellers, and a warm welcome to beautiful Olinda - I am Vita and delighted to host you. **Currently seeking Helper/s who can work in the garden or use a chainsaw to cut fire wood. Or a carpenter who can help repair weather damaged external timber windows. Or someone with mechanical experience to service chainsaw and lawn mowers. Or a Helper with sewing skills and can use a sewing machine. Or a helper who can restore and refinish furniture. I appreciate self-starters and Helpers with initiative, who do not always need to be told what to do and are capable of putting in a full days work. Weeding and garden work is always a go-to if you are waiting instructions. Helpers will sometimes be left to work by themselves as I don’t always have time to supervise them. Therefore, Helpers who can help with l...

We live in a fun share house in Maryborough, Marry Poppins Town, with awesome meals and a big edible garden. We're Mars, the owner of the property and Tracy, a former theatre/restaurant owner who's cooking the most awesome meals and looking after everyone like a mum. There're 2 adorable dogs in the family, so you must be a dog lover. We need help with building and creating, and with an awesome but overgrown garden. In addition, we're about to put 12v solar power into the rooms, also natural air-conditioning and are finishing up the spa bath in the 2nd bathroom... so there's a bit for you to learn and lots of knowledge to take home. We have had awesome experiences with travellers so far 😃. Maryborough is only 30 minutes away from Hervey Bay with beautiful beaches overlooking Frazer Island. Maryborough is a beautiful old heritage town with a lot of old buildings and parks all around. We're just a few metres away from the Mary River, at a quite place and only 1.5 km from town. There'...

My farm, located near Kaniva, is a commercial agricultural enterprise in the Wimmera region of western Victoria (midway between Melbourne and Adelaide). It has been owned by my family for more than 130 years. In 2006 I purchased the major portion of the productive land from the family Estate, and now annually crops nearly 425ha to spring wheat, barley, oats, field beans and canola. I am fully responsible for the management and on-going development of the farm, with a "share-farmer" undertaking many of the farm labour components. I do not have enough work to keep you busy long-term, but I certainly have enough for 3-5 days. The deal I am offering is that you help me with general farm chores (e.g. burning up heaps of branches, some fencing repairs, cleaning up branches under trees, caring for my lawns and garden, cutting up firewood, planting farm trees, etc) and I provide free meals and accommodation and a modest hourly payment. Depending on the day/weather we would work for 4-5 ho...

Seven years ago, Tim and I moved to our little farm, and we've been busy ever since; growing a garden, planting trees, and learning how to care for the land. We joined Landcare to better understand the local trees and wildlife, especially the ones that need a bit of extra protection. Tim is a retired engineer and has a knack for designing and building, so he’s been having a great time working on the infrastructure around the property. As for me, I’m a creative arts teacher and public health practitioner. I still teach both online and on campus at an Australian university, balancing my work with farm life. One of my biggest passions here is my rose garden with 400 fragrant bushes, and I'm dreaming of making rose water and rose oil one day. We’ve also got a thriving organic fruit and veggie garden, with plenty of fruit trees and a mix of seasonal vegetables. Our dam is well stocked with yabbies, and we’re just a short stroll from the Murray River, perfect for a bit of fishing. I lo...

...The Quiet Retreat, a Lifestyle Property...!!! I , Helmut (German born) , am located on the north East Coast of Tasmania , St Marys. With only the help of real hard working wwoofer's/ HelpX'ers , I started to build the house and clear the land here 25 years ago, so this place is a BIG BIG credit to all my helpers who worked hard, enjoyed their stay and left their footprint..! I feel that for the helpers who come here, maybe, apart from the usual work, self improvement/development could be one of their priorities... a good library of books is available and some very nice music...and of course "grumpy" me and please understand that I am not a good cook, so help there is esp. welcome, vegetarian only. The good cook , Chen my ex wife , mentioned in a lot of reviews has moved on . In the past I practiced meditation/looked at Zen/Osho/Vipassana etc, now I am in the winter years of my life ...LOL..( YES, read the latest feedback carefully, "he says with a smile).. I love music and m...

Hello travellers! My daughter (19) and I both enjoy getting to know people from different countries. We like to get out and about spending time at the beach, kayaking, snorkeling, swimming or walking in the bush. So I am happy to show you some of what we have to offer in Tassie. In summer I am on holidays as I work as a teacher, and I do more outdoor activities. During term time we are not home much during work hours, so we seek people who are happy in their own company for part of the day. When we get home we usually head out for a walk on the beach with the dogs. On the weekends we like to spend time outdoors. I would like help with cooking, cleaning, gardening and dog walking, I also have a few repair jobs I would like help with and I would like to build a small shed, but I would only ask you to do this if you knew how. In the garden I am trying to increase the organic content in my soil and improve my composting of all organic waste on site. When I free up some time I hope to ...

Helpers say this to be a good safe place to start your travels!! . Learn the wild life ,weather, slang or just Hit the reset button🤔😂 , Re boot , Recharge, Re focus & Re access. The area is often referred to as, 'The last frontier', due to the extreme weather & wildlife. We had a natural disaster with excessive flooding in December, 4895, disaster recovery program. It is a whole different experience if you are keen to give us a go. Physical fitness helps for bush walks or beach combing , Learning how to swim or swimming training. I live between a yacht on Sydney Harbour and a house in a tall eucalyptus forest on the mid north coast of NSW, and need some assistance in working on the house and on another yacht.  I'm a carpenter who worked with National Parks and Wildlife for 25 years before retiring, and live with a small dog Billy. I've had many helpers come stay over the last few years and have been lucky to have so many interesting travellers stay.  My yacht, is currently on the hard at Whoota, where we are renovating her while helping with work on her. I often take helpers out sailing to see the magnificent Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House but this is not possible while she is being worked on. Yet, I hope to invite helpers out when she is back in the water. The house is located in Whoota, near Forster. It is surrounded by forest and located a 10 minute drive from pristine beaches, lakes, and bushwalks. There a lots of dolphins to see and beautiful areas to explore. The work we are doing on the house i...

We are offering travelers a warm, comfortable two-story Celery Top Pine Pole home we built ourself. You will enjoy magical views of the ocean and mountain and will wake to the sounds of the wild birds that flock to our food and water bowls. We are regularly visited by possums, wallaby's and various other wildlife. If you're lucky you may even see a Tasmanian Devil. We aspire to a sustainable way of living and adore our large established organic garden, which we are needing help with maintaining. We ask helpers to provide a minimum of 4.5 hrs of work each day for 5 days with two full days off. If you would like a day off after working a few days we ask you to make up the hours on other days. Some helpers also purchase their own food and only work 2.5 hours a day if this suits you better. We are also very flexible and happy to listen to your requests. Previous gardening experience is essential as well as cooking/helping with evening meals, household duties, and other jobs as required...

We live in a beautiful part of the world between the beach and Margaret River town. We live on a farm with multi- generational families, we work towards a lot of self sufficiency and we work off the farm also. Our interests include music and wellbeing. The Margaret River community is vibrant and has many activities on offer. Our family welcomes cross-cultural experience. We like our Helpxers to be happy; we offer clean, comfortable, private caravan accommodation. Tasks are dependent on helpxer skills, farm, family and home requirements (such as whipper snipping, gardening, wood splitting, domestic tasks, artistic skills and painting). Having a car is necessary as there is no public transport. We ask for 1 hour work a day (couple) and 1.5 hours work a day (single) which means that helpxers can get work off the farm, if you like. Kind regards :) Sabine, Tony and Family

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week. Our preference is for a single person or couple who have some skil...

We are near the Shoalwater Marine Park and Penguin Island 40mins from Perth city centre. Very close to public transport, cafes and library. Ideal for beach walking, diving, swimming, cycling, fishing, sailing and windsurfing (beach is 60 metres away). Accommodation would take form of a fully insulated cute tiny garden room with access to undercover cooking area and bathroom. IT is small so please See photos. On week days we are usually working it Perth so we cant provide meals, but a well-stocked supermarket is 200 metres away. We average 2/3 hours a day painting, plumbing gardening and other repairs and can negotiate best time to do that, for example maybe it’s more convenient to do two longer days during the week. Free coffee, tea and a simple breakfast (i.e. Cereal, toast) usually available. When you email please let us know when you plan to get to Perth and how you are travelling (flying in, driving or bus etc.). If you are already in Perth, where you are staying and how long you...

I am an aquatic ecologist who has fortunately been working out of our coastal rain-forest property for 35 years. Driven by strong curiosity, I have recently been developing long-term data sets on the animal life in the forest that surrounds our home, plus on tropical marine fish that are steadily increasing in numbers under the influence of climate change at the nearby very beautiful Seal Rocks area (for details click on my website link below). We have 20 acres with 2 acres cleared and the remainder moist tall forest and rainforest. It is on the coast 3 hrs drive north of Sydney (1.5km from Smiths Lake; 30km south of Forster) See my blog link below to glimpse the accommodation, typical work and fun. We have a 180 squ m vegetable garden at times needing attention which has been enclosed to keep out our friends the wallabies (pademelons), possums, parrots and native bush turkeys. Bush regeneration is another activity as well as assisting in ecological surveys of local rivers when t...

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town, which is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay. Two hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around. We have a property located within walking distance of Fremantle centre near the river , grocery stores and public transport as well as a local coffee strip. You would have the whole house self-contained with kitchen and bathroom. The helping exchange arrangement would be helping with repairs, landscaping, painting etc. Fremantle cottage is on quarry st if you want to check location. It would be useful if you have had some experience with painting and renovation as we are trying to bring a property in for a sale this year. it would suit someone who would like some peace and quiet because it lacks entertainment facilities such as stereos and TVs at the moment. Sorry, we don’t really provide long term bookings for people who are working. We do know of opportunities for those looking for this and are happy to assist. 2 hours a day would be fine and although food is not provided shopping is handy.

We are a mature aged couple working from home and are looking to find an enthusiastic couple, or single person, who can help with general garden maintenance , eg weeding, spraying blackberries and wood splitting etc. In return, we are offering a private room and own bathroom ( see in photos below) in our lovely home. Accomodation and all meals are provided. ( free wi-fi is also available). We are in a quiet and secluded bush setting, and often have kangaroos and wallabies feeding on our property, but still only 3km from the main highway and station. (Melb CBD is 1 hour via train.) It is essential that you are a dog lover! (We have 2) Our 2 Whippets are quite old now, but very friendly and lazy! This would be an excellent opportunity for anyone requiring 2 weeks of accommodation, possibly longer, to share our easy going family life style. We are DEFINITELY a NON SMOKING household, and would prefer not to cater for vegetarians only. The work involves weeding, moving mulch, splitting...

I’m currently not looking for help. ..in the past have needed help with the garden… mowing, sweeping hedging and gardening, trimming back. Cleaning the air bnb, cleaning windows and tiles, bathrooms, kitchen and living area would also be helpful.Washing and vacuuming my car would also be good. I’d like 3 hours a day work. You will have your own king bed and tv ( Netflix) and internet and own bathroom and toilet in a large house by the canal only 3 kms from the beach. You will have your own kitchen laundry area to use and fridge of your own. There is a pool for use in summer if air bnb folk not staying. There’s only myself here with air bnb guests from time to time in a separate part of the house. Happy to show you the area. Would love it if you could cook a meal or two. Happy to cook and share some evening meals with you. You need to supplybown breakfast and lunchI can speak french and a little German ( bit rusty) ….would prefer a young lady or a young couple.

IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT YOU HAVE HAD EXPERIENCE WITH HORSES Please do NOT request to come and stay with us IF YOU ARE NOT FAMILIAR WITH HANDLING HORSES. If you do not state your horse handling/riding experience, then I know you have not read my profile. We are a family of 4 who live on a property in the hills situated approximately 40 mins drive from Perth C.B.D. We have many horses. All are thoroughbreds and used for playing Polo. At this time of year we need help (aprox. 4hrs daily) to help prepare the horses for the upcoming polo season. This includes yard maintenance, handling young horses, feeding, and working and possibly riding young horses. If you are a competent rider, it may be possible to go on bush rides where you will be able to see lots of native wildlife. We have a lot of fun and a lot of ...

We can sign off on the 88 days, All goes toward your visa extension. There is always something happening on the farm not too stressful. We need helpers who are willing to give anything a go, outgoing, and willing to experience a very different lifestyle. We especially want you if you have INITIATIVE, can work INDEPENDENTLY and INTUITIVELY. We welcome anyone, from anywhere in the world , Poor English is OK but some basic understanding is preferred.

Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few.

If you are already in Perth, where you are staying and how long you...

i have been on couchsurfing network for years hosting many people.. and i think this HelpX network is a great idea. Actually i kinda prefer it now. I am flexible with my time (especially during the week days) and love to hang out and make new friends.. In the summer I travel around Victoria and Australia a lot, going on road trips with friends and many music festivals -camping in the bush etc.. I am into music (composing/playing); Alternative health / medicine ; Electronics / Engineering / technology ; Anything weird wacky unusual unexplained strange secret, and business combining most of the above, ;) ..

There is a mountain on my farm with lots of tracks to walk and a creek to swim in, There is a hammock i...

DAYS SPENT WORKING HERE QUALIFY FOR 2nd & 3rd YEAR VISAS, under bushfire and flood provisions. (Please note we do follow Dept of Immigration guidelines, so proper hours will be worked and records kept to ensure your visa is secure). We are urgently in need of help starting in the few weeks, as following Graham’s minor surgery early this month, Sharon is now undergoing extensive tests that may require two seperate surgeries. For peace of mind it would be great to have someone here for at least a month, preferably longer. About the Farm. . This is a beautiful certified organic and certified biodynamic farm nestling in the foothills of the Richmond Ranges National Park in New South Wales. Here you can enjoy helping to look after our wonderful animals and farm as we are a relatively small-scale breeder and grower of heritage Large Black pigs. They represent a large part of the animal work on the farm. We also breed a few cattle for milk production and have a small miniature Gallo...
