NON SMOKERS ONLY! I am in LAUNCESTON TASMANIA. I (Yvonne) have a house in West Launceston, it is not a farm, it is a friendly house in a quiet Launceston suburb! I can accommodate one or two FEMALE helpers (Due to the religious Haram restrictions of one of our residents I can't accommodate male helpers) for about a week or so. Minimum stay three nights. Please inquire about available dates. Accommodation (for a single or two females) is in a private room with a double-bed. (Pictured). I can also add a single camp-bed in this room if helpers are two women who don't share a bed. I have been unwell, have poor eyesight, am on a restricted diet and am often busy doing volunteer community work, so I find it too difficult to have to cook meals and supply food. I can only offer an arrangement where you do two hours work per day for just accommodation and you supply your own food and cook your own meals. If this sounds like something you would be OK with, do contact me! Helpers assist me mo...

Hello! We live on a beautiful two and a half acre bush block, surrounded by tall trees and we are an easy 1km walk to lovely swimming beaches on the South Coast of NSW. We need help with our property maintenance - eg. weeding, raking, mowing, feeding the chooks, collecting the eggs, compost making etc If outdoor work is not your thing, or if it is raining and the weather not great, there are inside tasks I need a hand with like cleaning windows, general housework plus if you are a keen cook you are most welcome to take a turn! In the ten years we have been here, we have worked hard to establish a caged vege garden, some fruit trees, plus we breed chickens as egg layers. We have Australorps (black and blue) Cream Legbars, Olive Eggers, plus a mixture of other varities. Our local town of Moruya, has a fabulous, award winning Farmers Market which operates every Tuesday afternoon. There is also a very friendly community running group each Wednesday afternoon, with the choice of 2...

Hi beautiful people! I’m Christine, a happy spirited former language and arts teacher working across two continents. Since I retired I work in the natural health field. I live on an urban block called The Roo‘s Pouch, where I maintain a sustainable vegetable garden and created a community of nice people living with me. I live in one of the buildings on this sunny property which runs on rainwater harvesting. We avoid chlorine and contaminates by filtering, harmonizing, and energizing our own water though Ionisation. Water conservation is part of life for me. You can come to Maryborough via plane, bus or train. The Hervey Bay Airport is only 30min from my home. There are meanwhile several bus companies to choose from. If you use the train please book Maryborough town from the drop down menu. The shuttle bus from the train station in Maryborough west (20 min out of town) is free of charge if it is pre-booked. As international travelers you qualify for a concession card on Queensland trai...

After 3 years at the property where previous HelpX volunteers have helped us, my partner (Drew) and I (Maia) have just bought an absolutely incredible property right on the river, taking in over mid-May (2026). We're open to having some help from June onwards. We're still on the beautiful Atherton Tablelands in Queensland (popular for its incredible climate, nature, waterfalls, swimming holes, lakes, tourist attractions, etc.) We have our own huge swimming hole and many wallabies live here too. 😍 Our average age is 63 (young at heart!) We have accumulated knowledge and wisdom that we are happy to share. Drew is very practical and his talents are creative and diverse, like designing and building things, solar know-how and ingenious solutions to assorted challenges. My skills are both practical and creative - interior decorating, coaching and mentoring, music and therapeutic sound, photography, writing and creative problem-solving. While helpers sometimes have their own van, we most...

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . ** as of 26th July we are looking for a helper for an approx 2 week stay ** Your time here counts towards the 88 days working visa requirements as we are in a declared natural disaster region. We are a family in rural Australia who have helpers (only 1 helper at any one time) stay with us from time to time. Our experience has been that shorter stays of about 2 weeks work best for our situation. We live on a beautiful property on the Nymboida River, a 15 minute drive from the town of Dorrigo and 40 minutes drive from Bellingen. We offer a luxurious, self contained cottage which is adjacent to our house but is also privately positioned. We have young children and enjoy meeting new people. We have a great swimming hole on the river (that we share with platypus and other creatures) and there are kayaks to use. Our wood fired sauna is a great way to end the day :) Our property is teeming with wildlife and 7 riverside hectares are set aside as a conservation area in conjunction with th...

This is for those of you who plan ahead. We are full until mid July, right at the start of our best fishing season and in the middle of our best weather when at least some of the time we should be cutting great timber from unwanted trees using a 26 inch/56cm bandsaw. So anyone who loves fishing, snorkelling on inshore reefs and is good at DIY or carpentry and loves the simple, quiet, rural life by the beach, next to the rainforest, this is for you 🤗. We appreciate help with DIY construction, repairs and maintenance, timber work, boat work, metal work repairs to trailers and for help with gardening, housekeeing, cooking, duck and chicken rearing and dog walking on the beach. Fishing, snorkelling, and rainforest walks can help occupy your spare time. We are looking for reasonably good DIY handymen and women, capable of working effectively, when necessary, on your own or as a pair and, ideally, someone who also has some gardening experience, but that is not really necessary, learn o...

I live between a yacht on Sydney Harbour and a house in a tall eucalyptus forest on the mid north coast of NSW, and need some assistance in working on the house and on another yacht.  I'm a carpenter who worked with National Parks and Wildlife for 25 years before retiring, and live with a small dog Billy. I've had many helpers come stay over the last few years and have been lucky to have so many interesting travellers stay.  My yacht, is currently on the hard at Whoota, where we are renovating her while helping with work on her. I often take helpers out sailing to see the magnificent Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House but this is not possible while she is being worked on. Yet, I hope to invite helpers out when she is back in the water. The house is located in Whoota, near Forster. It is surrounded by forest and located a 10 minute drive from pristine beaches, lakes, and bushwalks. There a lots of dolphins to see and beautiful areas to explore. The work we are doing on the house ...

Would like to learn and look after a vineyard and winery this season, no experience is necessary. Established in 1998 and hosting HELPXers for over 15 years, it is the only certified organic winery in the Perth region. It is situated in the Swan Valley, 7km from Elenbrook and 15km from the Perth airport. The vineyard has 3,000 vines, a large house we live in, a machinery shed, and a winery/distillery on the property. Winemaking occurs during the summer months from January to March. A large, spacious room with a double bed, attached to the house, has a private entrance. Applications for mature couples as applicants are now open. Opportunities for vineyard and maintenance work are available. Couples with Visitor Visas are also welcome. I want (NON-smoking) volunteers who wish to experience domestic, distillery, vineyard, and winemaking work. During the season, there are generally outdoor activities, such as winery and vine work, plus gardening if it is not raining or too hot. Be ...

Hi there :) We live at the end of a small street in Picnic Bay, a few blocks from the beach and the bush. Its a beautiful part of the Island - quiet and surrounded by greenery. We are both young marine biologists and travel a lot for work, but have lots of ongoing projects around the house. Our garden is big and always in need of help, ranging from general maintenance to larger jobs like painting and landscaping. We have just built two wooden log cabins in the back yard and are currently fitting them out so if you are handy that's a huge plus! We are happy with either a single person or a couple. Helpers will stay in the wooden cabins with electricity separate from the main house. This has a double bed, chairs, desk etc. It is very beautiful. We have an extremely friendly dog and some chickens and ducks. We are happy to show people around the island and talk all things marine science and Great Barrier Reef. Great snorkeling and giant clam gardens nearby and happy to point things o...

Hi, I'm Nigel. I'm 84 years old and still active and enjoying life tremendously. I don't know what I want to be when I grow up, but so far I've managed to avoid growing up anyway. I've worked and travelled widely in my time and I still enjoy learning from others. I equally enjoy sharing some of the skills and knowledge I've picked up over a long and fulfilling lifetime. I live on a beautiful block of rural land (37+ acres), covered mainly in unspoiled local native bush, situated about 70 km south of Darwin CBD. The block has a long driveway, so there are no near neighbours or fences visible at all. Tranquility! I share my property with a wide range of wonderful native wildlife, so sorry, no pets allowed. I have a modern house, designed for energy efficiency, with ceiling fans and air conditioning when needed. You'll have a large airy bedroom with its own bathroom and toilet, plus shared use of the well-equipped kitchen (hint, I'm not much of a cook, so I hope you are) and livi...

The property is a small Beef cattle farm on the mid-north coast. Located 40 minutes drive from Port Macquarie town and beaches and 20 minutes from Wauchope and the nearest train station. This place is a really good option for someone on their way between Sydney and Brisbane who wants to break the trip for a few weeks. We are a couple with an adult son who is away at University. We have horses, chickens, ducks,3 dogs and cattle. We have a 2nd farm near Kempsey where we run cattle so sometimes we go over there to work as well. My husband and I both work from home although sometimes I have to spend days away doing fieldwork. We would expect between 3-5 hrs work a day, depending on what needs to be done, with 1 day off each week, usually a weekday, a lift into town can be arranged. Accommodation is in our house, and you will eat with the family. I would appreciate sharing the cooking and cleaning. Wi-Fi available, non-smokers only. The usual chores will involve some gardening or g...

Located 12 minutes the pristine beach’...

We live on an amazing 120 acre bush property about 25 minutes from Bryon Bay, 15 mins from Mullumbimby on an intention community with 6 other families in a beautiful valley, Our land is a wildlife reserve with plentiful native animals about. It’s gorgeous here with a pristine creek at the door step, waterfalls and national park just up the road. I have a big old Queenslander house, which I moved to the land 30 years ago. My place is like a little community within the community- but we all have our private space! I am thinking of downsizing in the future so need to clear out some stuff and tidy up around the place. I am an open, fun mature woman is both a counsellor and artist . I have an arts practice and also work in remote indigenous arts centres in the NT. I am also a mother of a18 yr old that I share-care parenting with in Mullu...

Hi, I am looking for one or two helpers. Luna is a well presented, cruising yacht, at in Airlie Beach for a few weeks. I am undertaking work to finish a refit started last year to ready her for extended cruising and diving trips. I live aboard the yacht, so the accommodation is onboard. Accommodation comprises of a forward double cabin, with its own bathroom. Work is varied cleaning, polishing, sewing, etc. Some mechanical work, needing an extra pair of hands. I would expect guests to help me for 4-5 hours per day. Weekends off, I would hope. In return for meals and accommodation. I enjoy sailing, fishing, diving, and bush walking, and showing of the beauty of the Queensland coast. Weather providing. Still, plenty to work on going. Look forward to hearing from you. Cheers Tim

Hi, my name is Mary. I live on the border of NSW and Victoria, a town called Albury. There is a train service to Albury from Sydney about 9 hours and Melbourne about 5 hours train trip. I am happy to pick someone from the Albury railway station. Albury is a pretty town on the Hume Highway. It is inland on the Murray River and there are a lot of local attractions, vineyards, historical small towns, snow fields and many more, only a few hours drive. I am located in town, with the railway station and the airport not too far, about 15minutes drive. I am fully vaccinated and require the same of a helper. I only take Non-smokers (meaning you do not smoke at all, outside as well). Currently I am asking for 2.5hrs a day for board only. You can cook for yourselves, buy supplies locally and after cooking clean your area. I would like help with the garden and other general duties around the house, such as cleaning. If you are travelling this way, either going to Melbourne or locally and can hel...
