Hi, it's Stephen and Philamae. We have a beautiful property in Buckland, Tasmania (45mins NE from Hobart airport). The views are stunning - the accommodation is lovely now that its 4 year build has just completed, and we are running it as holiday accommodation! The place will get even more enjoyable and beautiful as we create this funky mini-retreat space. The experience of the place - and Tasmania as a whole - is soul stirring. Lots of beautiful animals surround us - sheep, wallabies, possums, echidnas, bunnies and the occasional deer... Generally we look for Helpxers to help with the gardening and house cleaning. Across Nov/Dec/Jan it will be a lot of room cleaning/making up for our Airbnb setup, so we need somebody who cleans to a high standard and ideally likes cleaning & housekeeping! The next specific needs are: a) looking for a helper (a couple is actually ideal) for 28 October onwards for mainly housekeeping/cleaning and gardening as part of our Airbnb operation across th...

We are a cattle and sheep farm. the work involved would be gardening, cooking, cleaning, some plumbing and carpentry, electrical work, fencing, stock work and odd jobs and some farm work. We often have orphan calves and lambs to care for. We dont expect you to be able to do all the jobs but if you can help with any of them that would be great. The property is located 5km from coastal crayfishing town of Dongara (350km north of Perth) with one of the best beaches in Australia. There is also fishing, snorkeling, surfing, walking tracks and other sightseeing attractions close by. Very comfortable quarters provided and access to heated swimming pool. Just 10 minutes from Lismore and 5 mins from the Northern Rivers Rail Trail, our elevated, 9 hectare property at Rock Valley, is also within easy reach of the Border Ranges National Park and the coast. The farm, known as Curly Flats, is our long-term project to improve local biodiversity, and supports a growing population of amazing native wildlife. We share an interest in landcare, creative arts and community with a network of nearby friends, experienced in bush regeneration practices, and propagation. We are very grateful for any help but most of all love the opportunity to share others' skills and experience, and having time to get acquainted. The workload is variable depending on the weather and season, but generally fun, not very demanding and usually followed by morning tea. Accommodation is a fully restored, air-conditioned cottage, located 50 metres from the main house.

Currently looking for keen and energetic people who can join us in making our piece of Paradise even better while you have a memorable lifetime experience that will enrich your life. We love sharing who we are and what we have to inspire others to thrive on the land while working with and amongst nature. We also have our delightful Avan; a compact caravan that has a double bed and a single bed for those who want to live more out amongst nature. Offering comfortable accommodation in a natural environment in exchange for general help with mainly outdoor projects - tell us your skills and interests and we'll probably have a project to match! Looking for help from mid Sept to December, happy to offer one to two weeks at a time with longer stays possible after we've got to know each other a little. Us: We are a relaxed couple who enjoy the quiet life - Al is retired and spends most days pottering - always plenty of jobs around the place; and Vicki works 3 days/week from home, when she's away from her desk you'll most likely find her in the veggie garden or the kitchen. We enjoy lots of "homesteading" activities including breadmaking and preserving, herbal medicine, soap making and general crafts. Al is trying to learn the didgeridoo and hoping to have more time for painting and drawing and Vicki wants to improve her French language skills. We both love to travel and cook and explore different cuisines and learn about other ...

We are new to this platform but have been on workaway for about 6 years. We (My partner Ruby and me (Ross) and our 4 y/o Harriet) live on a little property in Central Victoria about 2 hours from Melbourne. We have been here for 7 years and are slowly chipping away at different projects from house fix ups to garden projects. Ross's background is in horticulture and landscape design and construction so we are putting in a lot of effort to the gardens. He also teaches a couple of days a week online. Ruby is a social worker, she works 4 days per week. Our 4 y/o daughter Harriet loves craft, games and playing doctors and dress ups. We also have two gorgeous/ energetic dogs and chickens. Our place is set on the edge of a creek on about 4 acres of land at the bottom of a ridge. We have an old tavern from around 1860 (now a house), a fairly new studio and a bungalow, caravan and workshops on our property. Ruby and I are both vegetarians and really like food! This is a Standardbred Horse stud located at the foot of the Tamborine Mountain. Located 45 minutes from Brisbane in the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland. We welcome working holiday visa holders with horse experience and most importantly a passion for horses!! Your role on the farm would be helping with the daily care of our standardbred racehorses, yearlings, broodmares and stallions. Feeding, grooming, mucking out etc. Ideal helpers will be positive and willing. We enjoy meeting enthusiastic people that really want to get involved on the farm and learn how we do things. Day to day life on the farm is easy going, and we encourage our travellers to enjoy their down time exploring all the area has to offer, such as walks in the national park and rainforest or swimming in the creeks and waterfalls. There will be plenty of time for playing pool, horse riding, swimming in our indoor pool, meeting our lovely big family and getting involved in the backyard cricket matches! We...

We have a small hobby farm just outside of Gunnedah, NSW. growing mostly summer veggies. We are now coming out of winter when activity speeds up going into Spring. Planting and transplanting will begin in October. The only winter crop we grow are white onions, so they will need watering and weeding. We have just had a major flood come through our property (August) so the next few months we will be clearing flood debris from fences and repairing them. We are listed in a Disaster Recovery Area (2380) from floods in 2022, so can sign off on the 88 visa for volunteer only. There is tractor driving or mowing with a zero-turn, some painting jobs around the house, sauce and relish making from our own produce and other chores associated with a farm. We live on a major river (Namoi) so have wildlife and birds to see. We are looking for helpers but also include you in our social circle and family events. I live on 6 acres in a rural area 15 mins out of the main town of Jurien Bay, surrounded by beautiful islands and beaches. It's a small coastal fishing town with only 3000 locals. In the holiday season the population may double, but still nice and quiet. I live in a barn style shed that I'm turning into a house and need a hand to complete projects renovating, and general yard work. I also have airbnb and need a hand to do the cleaning. Would like to find some trustworthy people that we can share experience with. I'm very familiar with the local area and can show you some hidden treasures. There is plenty of exploring, surfing, kite surfing skateboarding places in town.

A large two level beach house just 100m from the surf. I moved from Sydney in 2020 at the beginning of Covid lockdown. I set up a photography studio, renovated the interior and the pool and garden area, and nearly finished a photo gallery. Generally, I only host one person, this is a beach house in a resort area not a farm, but on occasions there can be enough work for more than one on a daily basis. I host for a week, maybe more if you have specific skills (see list below) and/or we have an excellent connection. You will have your own large very comfortable bedroom with a queen bed and private bathroom on the first floor, also access to TV and Netflix and use a bicycle and the private pool. I occasionally offer the room for weekends only with Airbnb so it is of high standard. I look for up to three hours of daily assistance from helpers, offering some basic food/cooking supplies, coffee and tea etc. I strongly prefer taking turns with my helpers offering an evening meal to suit o...

After 16 years, and hosting almost 100 HelpXers, at our property in Larnook, in the Northern Rivers region, Steve and I have moved to a new place in Tenterfield, at the northern end of the New England Tableland. All of our reviews up until September 2024, are related to our previous place. We are now ready to accept HelpXers at our new place. Steve and I are a gay couple and we offer a high quality experience (as you can see from our reviews) and so we expect our Helpers to pitch in and help. The more you put into your time here at Tenterfield, the more you will get out of it. We have lots of small work jobs at present including lots of weeding and gardening, mowing, establishing herb and vege gardens, pruning and cutting back and some other work. Our property is situated a few kilometers west of the town of Tenterfield, in a quiet, rural area. We live in a large old house 20km inland of Byron Bay, in a quiet area of farmland and bush. We have a large garden and vegetable garden which is where we primarily need help. We have chickens, cats and 2 donkeys! We can offer a separate 'cottage' to stay in, and we provide all meals- some helpers have not wanted to go home! There is our new natural pool to cool off in too. In return we request 4 hours of genuine work per day. We are 8km from the nearest village so your own car is a big advantage, although we can pick you up if you don't have transport. Our family loves the cultural exchange aspect of HelpX and looks forward to meeting you and learning about your country. Right now we have work to do outdoors mainly weeding, some heavy lifting, pool cleaning, painting & gardening.

We are we are looking for reasonably good woodworkers / carpenters / DIY handymen/women capable of working effectively on your own or as a pair and, ideally, someone who also has some gardening experience ! 😉🙏🏼😊 Most of the work is outside but based out of a well-equipped woodworking workshop and in our vegetable garden just over 100 meters from the beach.🧜♂️ Opportunities on your day off include fishing, sailing, snorkeling, weather permitting of course, rainforest walks and river swiming (Mossman River at The Gorge) and free nature tours on crocodile spotting boats on the Daintree River with the #Daintreerivercruisecentre (as Dave sometimes drives their boats and tour-guides for them when needed). We are establishing a modest permaculture garden with heritage breed chickens, their mixed offspring, Muscovy ducks and a range or of tropical fruit, vegetables and herbs. Are you looking for somewhere to have unique experiences? We have hosted lots of helpers over the years, and love the different people we have met. We enjoy the cultural exchange and look forward to meeting you. We are a family with two kids, on a small farm with some sheep, chickens, dogs, cats and horses on the banks of the Macquarie River, at Narromine, in central NSW. We have a comfortable 4 bedroom house and will provide all meals and accommodation in exchange for help with a variety of tasks, a bit of gardening, house work, cooking and general light farm duties. In winter we usually spend time checking and fixing the fences, collecting firewood, controlling weeds, as well as maintaining the vegetable garden and new orchard. Happy for people who love animals and outside work to contact us. Also looking for some farm and house work help too. We try to grow everything that we eat so we have an extensive veggie garden and orchard if you like working in nature! If you like soccer ...

Welcome - My name is Shunyam, I live in an alternative community near Bellingen, north coast of NSW, surrounded by National Park & beautiful beach. On the community you can participate in many activities including yoga, surfing, meditation, music, dance classes & working bees, all good ways to meet people. I’ve been living here for more than 30yrs off the grid with solar power, water tanks … In 1988 I started my place with a Permaculture design workshop. I’d say, i am self-sufficient in vegetables & fruit. I have ducks & chickens. I’ve recently set up a big aquaponics system. I’m looking for people keen to help me as their is always too much to do. There is a lovely cabin to stay in for 1 or 2 people. I’m a natural health practitioner. I want people who are interested in learning about alternative lifestyle, non-smokers preferred. I always need help in the garden, especially in summer. I’m looking for people wanting to stay short-term &/or long-term. Ultimat...

I live between a yacht on Sydney Harbour and a house in a tall eucalyptus forest on the mid north coast of NSW, and need some assistance in working on the house and on another yacht. I'm a carpenter who worked with National Parks and Wildlife for 25 years before retiring, and live with a small dog Billy. I've had many helpers come stay over the last few years and have been lucky to have so many interesting travellers stay. The yacht, is currently on the hard at Whoota where we are renovating her while helping with work on Joyelle. I often take helpers out sailing to see the magnificent Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House this is not possiable while Joyelle is being worked on. Yet, I hope to invite helpers out when she is back in the water. The house is located in Whoota, near Forster. It is surrounded by forest and located a 10 minute drive from pristine beaches, lakes, and bushwalks. There a lots of dolphins to see and beautiful areas to explore. The work we are doing on the ho...

I have an opening for a volunteer person to help me with everyday life of looking after animals and some gardening & basic maintenance of the farm and some house duties in north Qld. I can only accommodate one person. This is a great opportunity to get away from the city life and enjoy some country living. I have cats horses and chickens. You may even have some riding lessons if you are keen to experience this and learn a little bit about interacting with horses in the western discipline on the ground & in the saddle. There will be some cool rides out in the bush and up the sandy creeks if keen 😊 Available from April to October . Meals and accommodation are supplied. Accommodation is a little caravan close by the house, which has a mini art gallery. ( if you like painting or doing craft things I can give you some lessons) Prefer 1 month stay, but shorter stays are ok too. I am looking for two or three helpers for a week or two in September-October. Warm greetings from rural Byron Shire. I have hosted helpers regularly to help me to clear and tidy my sloping one hectare garden, which continues growing vigorously, and with other necessary maintenance tasks around my home. I would welcome a couple or two or three friends to work with me for a week or more in September and/or October. No particular experience is necessary, but any practical skills might be useful, and reasonable fitness is needed. I’m happy to share my own skills with willing helpers and will be working with you. Three to four hours of work per day in return for plentiful food and drink, and your own comfortable accommodation in my guest bedroom(s). I live in the Byron Bay hinterland, with my dog Rosie, in quiet country with ocean views and sightings of numerous wildlife. I come from England but have settled in Australia for the past 18 years, after travelling extensively around the wo...

Hello Travellers, We've been hosting through helpx for over 10 years in Australia. We enjoy learning about cultures and people from all over the world. We have the pleasure of living on 350+ acres of natural bush country in Brooweena, Queensland. We have converted a bus to a tiny home, and we are currently building a shipping container home, this is a priority and would love people to help. Growing and planting food and fruit trees, and clearing a few acres to live on. We are 100% off-grid with electricity from solar and tanks, dam, and rain for water. Friendly dogs who love to play. Our goal is to be as self-sufficient as possible, improve the soil, and regenerate the land to a healthy ecosystem. We use Permaculture Design methods. This means we don't use any chemical sprays, artificial fertilizer or mono-cropping on our land and live the values of Earth Care, People Care and Fair Share. It's a very exciting time for us to be embarking on a new land-based adventure, and we wou...

*Update -Spring 2025. September-November We need helpers as soon as possible for a big clean up to help prepare for a big event here in November. **Please note- We prefer to welcome helpers straight away-e.g available now or in the next few days. taking bookings for weeks or months ahead has never worked for us as we buy the extra food and supplies and too many people have cancelled because plans change when travelling. We generally don't take "bookings" for anything longer than one week or so away. We currently have a lot of projects on at the moment so there is a wide selection of tasks to choose from. Work includes gardening projects, feeding chickens, mowing, brush cutting, household chores and upgrading the chicken pen and organising work spaces. **Accommodation is either in a detached house in the forest (up a steep hill from the main house) There are two separate bedrooms up there and our 18 year old son sleeps in one bedroom and you will have the other bedroom. Or you...

We are a young, relaxed family building our off-grid home and subsistence lifestyle on a 47-acre property in the heart of the Otways. Our family includes two daughters (seven and three) and a KelpieX doggie called Ten O'Clock (named by our daughter when she was two). We usually expect around 4 hours per day of work in exchange for all meals, your own room, access to internet (for checking emails, looki...

I am looking for two or three helpers for a week or two in September-October. Warm greetings from rural Byron Shire. I have hosted helpers regularly to help me to clear and tidy my sloping one hectare garden, which continues growing vigorously, and with other necessary maintenance tasks around my home. Or you...
