PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town, which is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay. I have a lovely natural building studio space, made of super adobe, that is used as a meditation/healing/sacred temple space, set in a lovely slightly wild permaculture garden, with a bee hive, flowers, veggies etc. The studio would be completely your own private space. I am happy to share some meditation/healing practices with you if you are interested. I would love help in the garden, with weeding, mulching, planting, harvesting and helping to make the garden creative, abundant, fertile and beautiful. Also need help going to the beach to collect seaweed for the garden beds. I would like to provide some meals, and have you be independent for some as well. I really like to meet and be social with helpers , and also to spend a lot of time in meditation and writing. I live in a little rural suburb near a beautiful mangrove area , and I am 40 minutes from wilsons prom, and less to other beautiful areas. A drivers license would be very helpful .

We use Natural farming methods. The Cattle dogs 🐶 take years to train (similar to a blind person’s guide dog and the bond is of the same importance. We trust and work together). The cattle 🐮 are the main emphasis and rotational grazing techniques are used. The large veggie gardens🪴 and fruit 🍎 orchards are for personal use. There’s an activity for a carpenter who knows what/how to replace a panel of ply wood in the cottage and fix a bit of metal on the surround of an external window(which was never done when the window was replaced by workman)😗 that has allowed water in to the plywood panel. Activities maybe basic veggie garden things, painting, feeding cattle, filling water containers of dogs, whatever comes up on a farm that is of interest. Separate accommodation.in the caravan or tent that are next to the ablution block which is being connected to off grid. Ample room for your own caravan. or in quaint cottage near the homestead. Please bring your own towel and toiletries. Bed ...

Hello Everyone, We've been hosting through helpx for over 10 years. We enjoy learning about cultures and people from all over the world. We have the pleasure of living on 350+ acres of natural bush country in Brooweena, Queensland. We have converted a bus to a tiny home, and we are currently building a shipping container home, this is a priority and would love people to help. We also grow a lot of our own food and have fruit trees. We are 100% off-grid with all our electricity from solar and tanks, dam, and rain for water. We have a friendly dog who loves to play. Our goal is to be as self-sufficient as possible, improve the soil, and regenerate the land to a healthy ecosystem. We use Permaculture Design methods. This means we don't use any chemical sprays, artificial fertilizer or mono-cropping on our land and live the values of Earth Care, People Care and Fair Share. It's a very exciting time for us to be embarking on our farming adventure, and we would like to share this t...

SOME AVAILABILITY IN MARCH Dear Helpers I currently have some availability in March. Accommodation has changed ( from previous Helper accommodation) as I currently have a housemate in my guest room. Helpers accommodation is in my small studio ( separate from the main house) it has a double bed. The bathroom is shared and in the main house. Over the years I have completed many building & garden projects with the help of many fabulous helpers from around the world! I’ve recently been travelling myself and now have returned home and there is much to be done in my garden & some home maintenance that I would appreciate assistance with. Bangalow is a small hinterland town ( around 2000 people) and my home is 15 minutes walk from cafes & the Post Office. Byron Bay is about 20 minutes drive. There is very little public transport so helpers with their own transport are preferred. I prefer you to have at least one Host reference OR if no reference then please write and let me kno...

Sorry, no vacancy right now. Currently full. Later on we shall require help with DIY repairs and maintenance, timber work, upgrading a dinghy to fit a roof and remote steering, repairs to trailer and for help with early morning gardening, housekeeing, cooking and dog walking on the beach. Regarding the DIY and timber work, our next vacancy is likely to be in March when it is cooler. From then on, we shall be looking for reasonably good DIY handymen and women, with some experience in working with wood, capable of working effectively, when necessary, on your own or as a pair and, ideally, someone who also has some gardening experience, but that is not really necessary, learn on the job! 😉👍. So you need to be a "morning person" who is happy to start work at 07.00 hr, at least five mornings a week, not a night-owl. This is to avoid the heat of the afternoons at this time of year, mornings are beautiful. Much of the work, in addition to the above, from March on, will be outside; ...

We are a family-owned registered dog breeding and rearing business on our 14-acre hobby farm in the northern part of Victoria. It's flat country with picturesque canola fields in yellow bloom, gumtrees, dirt roads and a huge clear blue sky. But we spend most of our time with our Border Collie dogs and puppies, which is what we need help with. Our home is only 2 hours away from Melbourne, so you can easily take a weekend off and drive to Melbourne for a visit. We are looking for an enthusiastic person/persons who love animals, especially dogs, to come and stay with us and give us a hand on the farm. We need people who are hardworking and take ...

Hello I live in a lovely house on Tamborine Mountain backing right onto the Golf Course (I'll upload house photos soon). You can stay in my home in return for 3 hours of light work each day, 5 days a week (this doesn't include food/meals). The work is easy and would include weeding, planting plants, house cleaning etc. My house is not secluded (there are other houses around it), but it is a 10min drive to shops/cafes etc, so it would be best to have your own car. I'm looking forward to hearing from you Kara

Seven years ago, Tim and I moved to our little farm, and we've been busy ever since; growing a garden, planting trees, and learning how to care for the land. We joined Landcare to better understand the local trees and wildlife, especially the ones that need a bit of extra protection. Tim is a retired engineer and has a knack for designing and building, so he’s been having a great time working on the infrastructure around the property. As for me, I’m a creative arts teacher and public health practitioner. I still teach both online and on campus at an Australian university, balancing my work with farm life. One of my biggest passions here is my rose garden with 400 fragrant bushes, and I'm dreaming of making rose water and rose oil one day. We’ve also got a thriving organic fruit and veggie garden, with plenty of fruit trees and a mix of seasonal vegetables. Our dam is well stocked with yabbies, and we’re just a short stroll from the Murray River, perfect for a bit of fishing. I lo...

Hi, we are an older/elderly couple living in a quiet suburb of Melbourne, very close to public transport and about 25 minutes from the city centre. We are looking for some help from March 16th 2026 This placement would involve being involved in a range of tasks working in the garden and helping in the house. Normally, we would like you to do 4 hours a day, preferably in the morning but we are flexible about these arrangements. We offer breakfasts and dinners but lunches are your responsibility. We do not expect our helpers to work at weekends. Guests would share a comfortable double room and private bathroom. Occasionally we may have to make changes to this arrangement but that is very rare. The house is quite well equipped, but it is a cottage, not a big place, so, we are all living in close contact. Unfortunately, we won't accept smokers, either in the house or outside and we would expect you to leave immediately if we suspected any drug taking. If you are interested, I u...
