We are near the Shoalwater Marine Park and Penguin Island 40mins from Perth city centre. Very close to public transport, cafes and library. Ideal for beach walking, diving, swimming, cycling, fishing, sailing and windsurfing (beach is 60 metres away). Accommodation would take form of a fully insulated cute tiny garden room with access to undercover cooking area and bathroom. IT is small so please See photos. On week days we are usually working in Perth so we cant provide meals, but a well-stocked supermarket is 200 metres away. When possible we can take turns for meals if possible. We average 2/3 hours a day painting, plumbing gardening and other repairs and can negotiate best time to do that, for example maybe it’s more convenient to do two longer days during the week.Greg is usually available to help you with your car or take you fishing, boating or sightseeing if you’re willing to free him up from his other commitments. When you email please let us know when you plan to get to Per...

This is for those of you who plan ahead. We are full until mid August, in the middle of our best fishing season, wind permitting. Its also during what is normally our best weather. At least some of the time we should be cutting great timber from unwanted trees using a 26 inch/56cm bandsaw. So anyone who loves fishing, snorkelling on inshore reefs and is good at DIY or carpentry and loves the simple, quiet, rural life by the beach, next to the rainforest, this is for you 🤗. We appreciate help with DIY construction, repairs and maintenance, timber work, boat work, metal work repairs to trailers and for help with gardening, housekeeing, cooking, duck and chicken rearing and dog walking on the beach. Fishing, snorkelling, and rainforest walks can help occupy your spare time. We are looking for reasonably good DIY handymen and women, capable of working effectively, when necessary, on your own or as a pair and, ideally, someone who also has some gardening experience, but that is not r...

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON. Need help with a garden clean up, at the moment. You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one rough headed(inside and out 🤣,) skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town. It is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay, 2 hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around. There is a mountain on my ...

I have an opening for a volunteer person to help me with everyday life of looking after animals and some gardening, weeding & basic maintenance of the farm and some house duties in COLLINSVILLE north Qld. I can only accommodate one person. This is a great opportunity to get away from the city life and enjoy some country living. I have cats horses and chooks. There will be horse riding/training that you can help me with , I do western ranch & trail training, so I prefer someone that has riding experience 😀🐎 And a good understanding of English would be great. Meals accommodation wifi are supplied. Accommodation is a little caravan close by the house, which has a mini art gallery. ( if you like painting or doing craft we can do some painting ) Prefer 1 month stay, but shorter stays like 2 weeks are ok too. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. Hello, it's Stephen and Philamae here. We have a beautiful rural property in Buckland, Tasmania (45mins NE from Hobart airport). The views are stunning - the accommodation is lovely and we are running it as holiday accommodation as we move towards turning it into a funky retreat space. The experience of the place - and Tasmania as a whole - is soul stirring. Lots of beautiful animals surround us - sheep, wallabies, possums, echidnas, bunnies and the occasional deer. A pair of the endangered and majestic wedge-tailed eagles live 1km away and often soar above us. Our website link below has a lot more photos of our place. We have a series of 7 wellness retreats running 5 June to end August: see our blog link below. The next specific needs are: a) 12-13 September - need a "bride model" (or couple) to star in a photo shoot (professional photographer) of a fun mock up wedding for our future weddings at Sherwood Loves! **Prank your family and friends with the results!!** Can stay longer o...

What can we offer?? We have a small rural farm of 15 acres. There is a nearby river with some water holes for swimming as well as extensive opportunities for bush walking in the rugged hills surrounding the farm home to over 200 varieties of birds as well as wallabies and goannas and indeed one koala seen the other day We are situated in the scenic and historic St. Albans only 100km form Sydney. Adjacent to the property is the Common a land grant issued by Queen Victoria to sustain local cattle farms during periods of drought etc. The area initially settled as a food source for the Sydney basin, as well as a historical area based around convict and early settlement. Farm managed by friendly older couple (some French spoken with a comfortable farmhouse available for a couple). Area is also 80km from large towns so here is a need for own transport if possible although host may provide transport at times agreed upon. Hi, my name is Mary. I live on the border of NSW and Victoria, a town called Albury. There is a train service to Albury from Sydney about 9 hours and Melbourne about 5 hours train trip. Currently I am asking for 2.5hrs a day for board only. You can cook for yourselves, buy supplies locally and after cooking clean your area. I would like help with the garden and other general duties around the house, such as cleaning. If you are travelling this way, either going to Melbourne or locally and can hel...

At our off- grid solar, wood and gravity powered homestead you can live very close to Nature and learn by helping, how to grow your own food in the big, fully caged vegie garden/ orchard and some of how to build a bush cabin (it could be a winning strategy in years to come). We are long term, committed advocates, for climate change action and we've lived with Sustainability and Creating a low "Carbon Footprint" in mind, for 40 yrs now, settling here, (inland of Taree / Port Macquarie) from scratch in 1980, on 680 acres of rocky ridge forest on the wild and steep NW edge of the Bulga Plateau, 500m above sea level (a very beautiful but challenging location)! Watch our YouTube video below, about our community and us, made by the very talented helpxer, Louie Ablett. Three of us live here now, myself 74, David 84 and Sue 64, who started as a WWOOFer and has moved here with the help of a voluntary activity agreement through Centrelink for over 55s'. Sue came in September 2019 , lost th...

Looking for help with the garden and the house, this will take up 2h/day. I live in Thurgoona, which is a suburb of Albury. There is unlimited internet, you will have your own room. This helpx placement would suit a fit single traveler with own transport who can work unsupervised. Would prefer a male helper with own initiative, non-smoker. I need help with my deck (sanding and oiling) and cutting back ornamental grass. I am a dual citizen with German heritage. I work from home. Albury is on the main highway between Sydney and Melbourne, about 6-7h from Sydney and about 4h from Melbourne. It is a nice country town with cafes and all shops etc., Saturday night life, cinema etc. There is the weir for swimming, some nice towns to visit in the mountains, such as Bright, Mt Beauty and Falls Creek. There are also a few areas with famous wineries around Rutherglen, the King Valley etc. Thanks.

I am an aquatic ecologist who has fortunately been working out of our coastal rain-forest property for 35 years. Driven by strong curiosity, I have recently been developing long-term data sets on the animal life in the forest that surrounds our home, plus on tropical marine fish that are steadily increasing in numbers under the influence of climate change at the nearby very beautiful Seal Rocks area (for details click on my website link below). We have 20 acres with 2 acres cleared and the remainder moist tall forest and rainforest. It is on the coast 3 hrs drive north of Sydney (1.5km from Smiths Lake; 30km south of Forster) See my blog link below to glimpse the accommodation, typical work and fun. We have a 180 squ m vegetable garden at times needing attention which has been enclosed to keep out our friends the wallabies (pademelons), possums, parrots and native bush turkeys. Bush regeneration is another activity as well as assisting in ecological surveys of local rivers when t...

Our Wildlife Park is a privately run business we’ve been building for 15 years, with our biggest growth happening just in the last two. We transformed the 40 acres land into an open-space park with a sanctuary area, fields and gardens, built largely by our own hands. Our park is home to a variety of Australian wildlife including some herd and farm animals, and is located along the famous Great Ocean Road - 15 minutes drive from the famous Twelve Apostles and on the outskirts of the beautiful Great Otway National Park. We have availability all year round with a range of projects and activities needed to be managed from animal caretaking, general park maintenance, gardening and building projects to enhance and make our park welcoming for both our animals and guests. We are looking for proactive, resilient and communal spirits who actively look for ways to help.
