Situated on the edge of the Great Divide, we are surrounded by great views, Kangaroos, Wombats, Echidna and numerous bird species including wedge tail eagles, Rosella's and Kookaburras. Just an hour from Melbourne [less from the airport] we can arrange pick up. Our farm has Highland Cattle, Chooks and a large Vegie garden/orchard. While we have no urgent work requirements and the farm is only our hobby [we are semi retired ] there is always something to do, however we have no paid employment available and cannot add points for visa extension. We have a spare room with double bed or we can accommodate 2 x singles as well. The nearest public transport is 15 minute drive and we can drop people of most days as we go past the station nearly every day. Our current projects are house painting, wood cutting and gardening.

We live in a simple, older style house on one acre of land in a semi-rural setting in the hills about 40 km east of centre of Perth. We are close to the small township of Mundaring with shops and access to public transport. We have some fruit trees, grow some of our own vegetables (but not much in summer), keep chickens and have one very spoilt dog that lives inside the house. We have an internet connection we are happy for you to use. PS. The photos are taken in winter many years ago, so we look older now. It's much dryer in summer so not as pretty, but we do have a small swimming pool to cool down in. We are happy to share our main evening meal, and you will be welcome to help yourself to what we have available for breakfast and lunch, but you will need to buy some food items. We are both retired teachers. You have your own living area, but the position is best suited for a couple as the room only has a double bed. Looking forward to hearing from you if you think this sounds like you...

We are Dave and Lynda an older couple than we would like to admit and this is where our challengers lie. We live on a half-acre bush property, Dave built the house 35 years ago and it now requires a little maintenance. Some of the maintenance will involve helping Dave moving and working off scaffold and carpentry work. The yard needs some attention and involves some heavy wheelbarrow work to form a path beside our dam along with transplanting and planting. So here's the deal,,,,, we are offering short term accommodation in exchange for assistance with the maintenance of the house and yard. You will get to stay in a great little 1 bedroom self-contained unit situated 10 minutes drive from the Hervey Bay town centre. We are asking 2 half days a week help in exchange for accommodation, I'm saying half days because we run out of energy about mid-day. This leaves you with plenty of time to explore the area and visit Fraser Island and our beautiful beaches, snorkel the soft coral re...

It looks like we are full until at least mid July but you are still welcomed to make inquiries about future dates. We appreciate help with DIY construction, repairs and maintenance, timber work, boat work, metal work repairs to trailers and for help with gardening, housekeeing, cooking, duck and chicken rearing and dog walking on the beach. Fishing, snorkelling, and rainforest walks can help occupy your spare time. We are looking for reasonably good DIY handymen and women, capable of working effectively, when necessary, on your own or as a pair and, ideally, someone who also has some gardening experience, but that is not really necessary, learn on the job! 😉👍. So you need to be a "morning person" who is happy to start work at 07.00 hr, at least five mornings a week, not a night-owl. This is to avoid the heat of the afternoons at this time of year, mornings ca n be beautiful. Much of the work will be outside, based out of a well-equipped, air-conditioned, woodworking worksho...

I am in desperate need of helpers to tame my garden, planting the winter growing season veggies plus harvesting and pruning fruit tree. Due to family health issues I have been away in Canada for a total of 16 weeks over two visits during the last 9 months needless to say I have become a bit behind. This is the best time of the year to be in the garden. We are a working cattle farm/station located on the edge of the Australian Outback within an easy 2.5hour drive from Townsville and the Great Barrier Reef. We are located about 40minutes from the major cattle hub and historical town of Charters Towers I love to cook and grow our own food. One of my hobbies is preserving food and baking which has resulted in me starting a Small business called Darlene’s Country Kitchen. I sell my products and produce in our local town, Charters Towers. We also attend a regular Market on the 4 Sunday of every month. Helpers will be expected to feed and water chickens, ducks and geese, collect eg...

We are a family of five living on a peaceful 5-acre permaculture-minded farm on the beautiful Far South Coast of New South Wales, Australia. Our family includes three young children — a curious 8-year-old boy, a creative 6-year-old girl, and our happy, busy 2years boy. We speak both French and English at home and enjoy sharing a simple, connected lifestyle close to nature. Our small farm is home to sheep, chickens, 4 cows, a large orchard, veggie gardens, and an abundance of seasonal fruit. Our energy comes from the sun and our water comes from the land. We love welcoming people who have an interest in nature, simple living, gardening, permaculture, farm animals, good conversations, and sharing daily life together. Families with children are especially welcome, particularly if your kids are around a similar age to ours. There are always meaningful and enjoyable projects happening around the farm depending on the season and your interests. At the moment, we would especially apprecia...

Due to a no show, we currently have a vacancy. We live on a small acreage about 20 minutes outside of Bundaberg. It is in a quiet, country area with lots of animals - dogs, cats, geese, guinea fowl and ducks. Wild kangaroos regularly feed in the paddock near our house. If you love animals, we are the place for you! Helpers would have their own bedroom, and a shared bathroom, toilet and lounge room. We are happy to provide all meals if you require, but ask that helpers help with either the meal preparation or the clean up afterwards. We have access to wireless internet and are able to pick up helpers from Bundaberg if they do not have their own transport. Due to the lack of public transport where we live, it is probably more suitable if you have your own transport if you wish to visit local attractions. We would like some assistance with feeding/caring for the gardening, animals ,housework and caring for the animals.. We enjoy meeting new people and learning about their cultures. We h...

Our wonderful helpers from Argentina & France are about to move on this Sunday (31 May) to a winter job in the snowfields. They loved it here, so we are now seeking some new helpers. ENJOY THE FREEDOM & BEAUTY OF SOUTH GIPPSLAND. Property is a botanic garden of Australian native plants, many rare or endangered, plus an acre of plants for cut flowers, mainly proteas, banksias and tea trees. Lots of wildlife. We need help with weeding, mowing, mulching, planting and general clean up as the property is too big for the two of us to maintain. Accommodation is very comfortable, private, with fully set up kitchen in a studio style cottage with a queen size bed and smart TV. Recently installed a new electric oven with airfry function. Has split system heating and cooling. It is separate from the main house. It was a very popular AirBnB destination but we have decided not to do it anymore as it is too much extra work. The property is rural; half way between Wonthaggi and Inverloch so having a c...

Hi you young and beautiful travelers, Bundaberg is a less known touristic town, with a mild climate, beautiful beaches and wonderful surroundings. It is also an agricultural country town with many backpackers hostels . With a bit of lack there might be opportunities for paid work on a farm. It’s only 350km north of Brisbane and easily reachable by train. My home is only a few minutes drive from the town center, yet secluded and peaceful, sitting on 2.5 acres. I am looking for people who would like to visit this promising coastal town and help with general house and backyard maintenance, around 4 -5 hours a day, 6 days a week. The person helping me will have a home away from home and a cosy room to rest in. I am hoping he/she will treat the place with respect and consideration, observing the few requirements related to the use of bathroom and kitchen. Otherwise, regretfully, we will have to part ways sooner then expected. A good home cooked meal and an occasional glass of wine is...

Hello travellers! We’ve recently built a wonderfully energy efficient passive solar house, complete with off-grid solar for all our energy needs, rain water collection for all our water needs, and a worm farm waste management system for natural black and grey water processing. We’ve put a lot of work in to achieve a fossil-fuel-free, all-electric, household, with as small an environmental footprint as possible. We’re also lucky to live in a beautiful rural/coastal area near Inverloch, Victoria, approximately 1 hour 45 minutes south-east of Melbourne. We are close to some of Victoria’s most famous wildlife and wilderness attractions, including the Penguin Parade at Phillip Island, the Koala Conservation Reserve, and hiking and camping at Wilson’s Promontory (not to mention numerous local beaches and fishing spots only 10 minutes away!). With our house complete, we’re now working to progress the landscaping aspects of our project. We’d be very appreciative of a helping hand or two to ...

If you would like a homely, wondrous Blue Mountains experience, nestled in nature, without being surrounded by tourists, you’re welcome to stay with us. You will relax and unwind here, sit in front of the fire in the evenings, drink tea, go on bushwalks, watch the alpacas, and share stories. Then wake to amazing sunrises! Especially quiet for those that have just come from a Vipassana meditation retreat. If you're a rock climber, you can walk to crags at Shipley and Centennial Glen. We have two alpacas, some chickens, and two indoor cats. We live in a new house on a two acres, next to the Blue Mountains National Park. Amazing bushwalks begin at our home. Walk to Govetts Leap waterfall, Evans Lookout, the Grand Canyon, and Blue Gum Forest. We need ENERGETIC help in the yard, mainly splitting firewood. There are lots of small jobs, all requiring good strong MUSCLES. We also need help with BUSH REGENERATION because there are weeds that have invaded the rare and endangered hanging s...

**We have helpers staying with us right now, but will have availability again from early August** Cath and I (Dan) live in Aeroglen, 5 minutes from the Cairns airport at the base of beautiful Mt Whitfield Conservation Park. We are about 10 minutes from the centre of Cairns CBD and 15 minutes to the northern beaches. We live in a suburban home, where we live upstairs. Downstairs we have a fully self-contained (bedrooms, bathroom, toilet, kitchen) living area. Cath is French and runs her own business working for the European luxury industry. I am a wildlife biologist. We are in our 30s, have three kids (ages 1 -10), and busy jobs - so we are looking for people to assist with tasks around the house. This includes gardening, cleaning the pool, general maintenance, painting the exterior of the house, and other odd jobs. We will often be working alongside you. We are looking for 2 or 3 (couples work well) Helpx participants at a time, ideally for 1-2 weeks, to work four (4) hours p...

Hi everyone my name is David, and I live at in Mount Warning Caldera in Northern NSW. The closest town is Murwillumbah, which is approx a 30 min drive away. I designed and built my property back in the early 80’s. There are 9 other properties out here, but we all have a lot of space as we are on 450 acres of land. The house sits on a ridge, with views of the Springbrook Plateau, and is surrounded by lush rainforest. It is an area of high bio-diversity with rainforest, waterfalls, rivers & many different types of wildlife, which is all easily accessible. You may encounter wallabies, lizards, snakes and numerous bird life I have done a lot of traveling over the years, am passionate about music and love to have a jam with my friends, and practice Tai-Chi daily. I enjoy good food, and my diet is mainly vegetarian, and i have my own veggie patch.

We have hosted lots of helpers over the years, and love the different people we have met. We enjoy the cultural exchange and look forward to meeting you. We are a family with two kids, on a small farm with some sheep, chickens, dogs, cats and horses on the banks of the Macquarie River, at Narromine, in central NSW. We have a comfortable 4 bedroom house and will provide all meals and accommodation in exchange for help with a variety of tasks, a bit of gardening, house work, cooking and general light farm duties.
