I have a room available for a single in exchange for help with house and garden maintenance and some painting. Our property is 33ha of native forest with two creeks located in subtropical NSW, 15 km from Lismore and 50 min from Byron Bay. Our focus is on enhancing the natural habitat for the abundant wildlife including wallabies, goannas, echidnas and birds. Varied tasks include assisting us with gardening, bush regeneration, maintaining bush tracks, general house and property maintenance. Good food and excellent private accommodation is in a self-contained unit 60 metres from our house. Spacious bedroom, bathroom, verandah and fully equiped kitchen. Office space with wifi and TV. Meals are shared or you may prefer to self cater with your preferred ingredients supplied. We usually have helpers stay one to two weeks then negotiable. Horse/animal lovers will be in heaven, helping on a farm in the Riverland, South Australia. Experience what it’s like to be on an outback station, while still being close to civilisation. I am on a farm in one of the Mallee areas of the Riverland, South Australia; in between Waikerie, Swan Reach and Blanchetown . It is a peaceful area, with beautiful sunsets and lots of wildlife to see; such as kangaroos, emus, many varieties of birds and if you are lucky; echidnas, wedge tail eagles and goannas. Waikerie is our closest town being approx. 27kms away (around 15-20 minutes by car). My daughter and I have 6,000 acres that is mainly used for cereal crops and sheep (it is run by my daughter and her husband). We are a mature aged couple working from home and are looking to find an enthusiastic couple, or single person, who can help with general garden maintenance , eg weeding, spraying blackberries and wood splitting etc. In return, we are offering a private room and own bathroom ( see in photos below) in our lovely home.
