i live on a small hobby farm with 1 cow, a few goats, chickens, a cat and two dogs. We are in the Tuntable Falls valley, surrounded by rainforest and a beautiful clear creek on the boundary, about 12 km from Nimbin. There are lots of opportunities for bushwalks, as we are very close to the national park. To get to the beach in Byron Bay will take about 1 hour by car. We can accommodate 1 or 2 persons inside. There are lots of jobs on the farm, in and around the house, eg. clearing the bush, working in the vegetable garden, mowing, making firewood, cleaning the animal housing etc. currently not milking any goats, as she has to feed her three kids We expect 4 hours of help/day in exchange for food and accommodation. As we are vegetarians, we do not supply any meat or fish for your meals, however we can offer fresh vegetables, fruit, eggs, milk and cheese(seasonal) from our farm. Length of stay is negotiable. One word of caution: Since we are living close to the forest, we do hav...

We are a family of four living in the Noosa Hinterland on the Sunshine Coast, with a beautiful border collie, and a small flock of pet chickens. We can offer accomodation in a spacious freshly renovated caravan with outdoor cooking and bathroom facilities. The accomodation is privately situated 100m away from our house, in a peaceful area by the dam. In exchange we'd love 20 hours of help per week on our Permaculture based property, negotiable days of work. Help would include maintaining food forests and veggie beds, invasive weed management (Singapore Daisy), tree pruning, making compost, looking after chickens, mowing, whipper snipping, and assisting with small building projects. Ideally we'd like at least a 2 week stay. One home cooked meal, and one DIY breakfast food provided per day. We're happy to share any fruit, veggies and eggs with you, as available. Own transport is preferred as we are located 3km out from Pomona town. Suit single person, couple, or 2 friends (1 x double an...

Would like to learn and look after a vineyard and winery this season, no experience is necessary. Established in 1998 and hosting HELPXers for over 15 years, it is the only certified organic winery in the Perth region. It is situated in the Swan Valley, 7km from Elenbrook and 15km from the Perth airport. The vineyard has 3,000 vines, a large house we live in, a machinery shed, and a winery/distillery on the property. Winemaking occurs during the summer months from January to March. A large, spacious room with a double bed, attached to the house, has a private entrance. Applications for mature couples as applicants are now open. Opportunities for vineyard and maintenance work are available. Couples with Visitor Visas are also welcome. I want (NON-smoking and non-vaping) volunteers who wish to experience domestic, distillery, vineyard, and winemaking work. During the season, there are generally outdoor activities, such as winery and vine work, plus gardening if it is not raining o...

My husband Tony and I, offer self-contained accommodation for short stays of a week or two for a couple or two friends (any genders) who would like to explore the beautiful Yarra Valley or who are in between jobs (longer stays may be possible depending on whether we have family coming to stay and using the studio.) Our property, Lavender Farm, is about 6 kilometers from the small tourist town of Healesville in the Yarra Valley. The Yarra Valley is wine-growing region at the foot of the Great Dividing Ranges. It is about 1 hour by car from Melbourne. We have a lemon orchard, vegetable garden, horse paddocks and some bush. We are not a commericial lavender farm although we have a lot of lavender growing in the gardens. Spring has arrived so the gardens are lovely at the moment. There are some rescue horses (not rideable) and a pony , chickens, very friendly family dogs and a swimming pool. (too cold at the moment unless you are very brave!) Our daughters are grown up and living ...

We are a group of friends who decided three years ago to restore a beautiful old village/motel in Jindabyne. We are looking for like minded individuals who are passionate about restoration/building and maintenance, love nature and have a good nature and willing to share a laugh over some good food. We have hosted people from all around the world, including all over Europe, Asia, North and South America. The motel is a 5-minute drive from local amenities such as supermarkets, shops, pubs, and a skate park. From June to September there are plenty of winter activities including skiing, tobogganing, and snowboarding at nearby ski resorts, just 30 minutes away. In summer, there are plenty of hikes, mountain biking, fishing, as well as the beach at Jindabyne Lake, Blue Lake and we are 30 minutes from the tallest mountain in Australia- Mount Koscioscko. Yarrangobilly Caves and nearby thermal pools are about one hour away. Our beautiful site features a serene river, where you can go...

We need help with building and creating, and with an awesome edible garden. We're about to put 12v solar power into the rooms, also natural air-conditioning and are finishing up the spa bath in the 2nd bathroom... so there's a bit for you to learn and lots of knowledge to take home. Next vacancies likely to be 2nd week of September. We appreciate help with DIY repairs and maintenance, timber work, help with gardening, housekeeing, cooking, duck and chicken rearing and dog walking on the beach. Fishing, snorkelling, and rainforest walks can help occupy your spare time. We hatched two goslings in mid July and are hand-rearing them, real characters! We start 4 hours outside work at 08.00 hr, five mornings a week and at 9 am on Sundays. Saturday is your day off. So most of the work will be outside, based out of a well-equipped workshop and/or in our vegetable garden and hen and duck coops. ‍ Opportunities on your day off include fishing, sailing, snorkeling, weather permitting of course, rainforest walks and river swimming (Mossman River at The Gorge) and free nature tours on crocodile spotting boats on the Daintree River with the #Daintreerivercruisecentre (as Dave sometimes drives their boats and tour-guides for them when needed). We are establishing a m...

DO YOU LOVE ❤️ OYSTERS? 🦪🦪🦪🦪🦪🥂 If the answer is YES come and work with us ! Work for 3-4 hours then we will have an amazing oyster dinner. You can stay with us at our holiday house with water views. Or you can just come for the day and catch the last ferry home after dinner. The option might exist to stay longer but that’s by special request as you’d be alone & would need a car. This would suit singles, couples or a group of friends wanting a short but fun adventure. BRUNY ISLAND has BEACHES, FORESTS, BIRDS, NATURE, and so much more. We are located at Adventure Bay on the South of the island which is roughly a 90 minute journey from Hobart. The first ferry to Bruny island is 6.50am, then every 30 minutes after no bookings required. The LAST ferry back to Hobart is 7.15pm If you stay longer than 1 day jobs include raking, watering, wood stacking etc - nothing difficult. We might even go boating in our small runabout. Food & accommodation provided. Also Star-link WIFI. ...

Room and simple breakfast of toast, tea or coffee, I can show you where to find free bread and there is generally some rice or pasta you can use, occasionally some fruit and vegetables, or other food included but not guaranteed. I have a minimum stay of 2 weeks and a maximum stay of 3 months. Ipswich is a lovely place in itself and is about an hours drive to Brisbane, about an hour to the Gold Coast, about an hour and a half to the Sunshine Coast or about an hour to the mountains in Toowoomba. Many visitors to Australia assume it will be hot here and in summer it is, in winter the temperature can be very cold. Make sure to pack some warm winter clothing if travelling in the winter months. I don't have fans or air conditioning so the temperature is what it is. It's hot in summer and cold in winter. Electricity has become too expensive for me to run heating or cooling appliances. I am not on a farm, it is a residential block in Ipswich. My house is small and cluttered and surrounded...

Small farm with. orchards, chickens ducks. Need helpers to assist with common garden tasks as owners getting older. Delicious meals could be available, otherwise stay in private self contained cabin with cooking facilities. Possible painting jobs also. Would expect 4 hours a day at least for full board, but could work 3 full days and have 4 days off. Lovely area with close access to coast, Maleny, Beerwah with rail links also close by. The last picture is of our tiny house recently refurbed. STOP press we make lovely gourmet healthy food but really need to know your dietary requirement before it's agreed you come. My husband is mostly vegetarian (eats fish) gluten free and I am diabetic and have a low carb diet. This means that people who come and then reveal they are fodmap or don't eat fish or dairy make our lives pretty tricky. We do have a self catering cabin but you would have to shop and do your own thing.

I am a retired secondary school teacher and I love gardening, singing and playing guitar, hiking, presenting on community radio and travelling. I live in a lovely historic cottage on a large block with a permanent creek a few minutes walk from the centre of Willunga in South Australia. Willunga is a small country town in a wine growing region and is famous for its cafes and Saturday morning Farmers Market. My home is about 45 mins south of Adelaide and a short drive to the beach. I can provide a room within my house for one or two people and delicious vegetarian meals in exchange for working with me on improving my organic garden. I prefer to get requests for dates less than two weeks ahead and helpers that wish to stay from a few days up to one week. Sorry no smokers. ps I have a dog.

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON. Need help with a garden clean up, at the moment. You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one rough headed(inside and out 🤣,) skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town. It is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay, 2 hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around. Hi you young and beautiful travelers, Bundaberg is a less known touristic town, with a mild climate, beautiful beaches and wonderful surroundings. It is also an agricultural country town with many backpackers hostels . With a bit of lack there might be opportunities for paid work on a farm. It’s only 350km north of Brisbane and easily reachable by train. My home is only a few minutes drive from the town center, yet secluded and peaceful, sitting on 2.5 acres. I am looking for people who would like to visit this promising coastal town and help with general house and backyard maintenance, around 4 -5 hours a day, 6 days a week. The person helping me will have a home away from home and a cosy room to rest in. I am hoping he/she will treat the place with respect and consideration, observing the few requirements related to the use of bathroom and kitchen. Otherwise, regretfully, we will have to part ways sooner then expected. A good home cooked meal and an occasional glass of wine is...

Are you looking for somewhere to have unique experiences? We have hosted lots of helpers over the years, and love the different people we have met. We enjoy the cultural exchange and look forward to meeting you. We are a family with two kids, on a small farm with some sheep, chickens, dogs, cats and horses on the banks of the Macquarie River, at Narromine, in central NSW. We have a comfortable 4 bedroom house and will provide all meals and accommodation in exchange for help with a variety of tasks, a bit of gardening, house work, cooking and general light farm duties. In winter we usually spend time checking and fixing the fences, collecting firewood, controlling weeds, as well as maintaining the vegetable garden and new orchard. Happy for people who love animals and outside work to contact us. Also looking for some farm and house work help too. We try to grow everything that we eat so we have an extensive veggie garden and orchard if you like working in nature! If you like soccer (...

My husband and I moved to this 240 acre farm in the South Burnett Region of South East Qld 2 years ago and have recently moved into a purpose built cottage (to reduce our footprint) relying on rainwater for the house and bore water for the gardens and to reduce our footprint further we have installed a composting toilet. 40 fruit trees have been planted and raised garden beds made which is the start of our edible oasis. Next on the jobs list is creating wicking beds from IBC totes and fencing the house yard for our two Jack Russell dogs. We have an old thunder box we would like to restore to make into an outdoor composting toilet (let us know if you’re handy on the tools). There’s plenty to do and learn around the farm depending on your ability and interests. Enthusiasm is a must. There’s gardening and learning about soil health, learning how to erect barbed wire and electric fencing, animal husbandry, building, cleaning and general maintenance. There’s always something different g...

I'm on 200 acres of beautiful rainforest in the mountains of the Port Macquarie hinterland. A mix of pastures and thick rainforest. Creek and waterfall, surrounded by national park, completely immersed in nature. I am looking for someone to help with light work around the farm, so want to finish off some small projects, get the gardens organised and general tidy up. Nothing strenuous I am having surgery and will need a hand to do these small chores. I'm a retired veterinarian, have built this house, can do mechanical work and now farmer so I'm happy to share any skills I have if you are interested It would be great if you had an interest in cooking so we could share it and exchange some recipes, I love food and love being introduced to new ideas I prefer a mature age person who has done Woofing/Helpx/Work away before on rural properties A self starter who enjoys this lifestyle, has energy and enthusiasm Internet is good now with Starlink Someone who has already had farm living...

Hi there helpers We are sammy and nick We have moved from our farm to a new place on the coorong in SA! The local town of Meningie! We have built a beautiful home on the lake. and have been hosting helpers for almost 8 years! Check our reviews The position we have currently would suit either a couple or a single. The position is a bee keepers assistant and you would be required to help with bee keeping tasks with Nick like extracting and labelling honey and also taking care of some light house chores like mowing lawn and basic tidy up. If you have your own car that is preferred but not a dealbreaker. ability to drive a manual car would be good. It’s can be hot and sweaty work outdoors in the sun and you cannot be allergic to bees. It can also be very messy and sticky. We would provide you with a room in our home. It is a new build on the lakeside with our dog hoodoo and Nick and myself. We are flexible with task times as Nick and myself still work while managing the bees. So times w...

We live on a 5 acre hobby farm in the beautiful Huon Valley, Southern Tasmania. Our family consists of three young adult children (two live at home), two horses, many chickens, ducks, geese, goats and two gorgeous dogs. We grow organic vegetables and breed heritage chickens in an attempt to be more sustainable. Jobs involve general gardening, helping with the animals and housekeeping. If you would like a Tassie small farm experience message us with some details of the work you have previously done. We have separate accommodation, with a bathroom. All our HelpXers have loved working and living with us and I hope you will too (please remember Tassie is a cold place in winter). There are many areas of natural beauty in Southern Tasmania which are all fairly close to us. For example, the Hartz mountains, Hastings Caves and the Tahune Airwalk. We live close to a sleepy village called Cygnet and Hobart is only a 40min drive away. (Unfortunately we can't approve 2nd year visas)

We.previously lived in Boreen Point on the Sunshine Coast where we hosted many helpers through helpx with amazing reviews over a period of 17years.. Most never wanted to leave. We have now moved and bought an equally stunning property in Far North Queensland in a small country town (Cardwell) on 3 acres 10 minutes from beach. We are located between Cairns and Townsville and just south of Mission Beach. Terry and I are not as young as we used to be and are struggling with maintaining the property. We need help for 4hours a day, with weeding, mulching, pruning and watering the gardens and general house cleaning. We back onto tropical rainforest and creek. Help around the inside of property would also be helpful. You will have your own bedroom and own bathroom (1 queen for couples and 2 queens for singles). The fridge will be stocked for you to prepare your own breakfast and lunch and we all sit together for evening meals which I will prepare. There are many stunning waterfalls and walk...

Hello travellers, and a warm welcome to beautiful Olinda - I am Vita and delighted to host you. **Currently seeking Helper/s who can work in the garden or use a chainsaw to cut fire wood. Or a carpenter who can help repair weather damaged external timber windows. Or someone with mechanical experience to service chainsaw and lawn mowers. Or a Helper with sewing skills and can use a sewing machine. Or a helper who can restore and refinish furniture. I appreciate self-starters and Helpers with initiative, who do not always need to be told what to do and are capable of putting in a full days work. Weeding and garden work is always a go-to if you are waiting instructions. Helpers will sometimes be left to work by themselves as I don’t always have time to supervise them. Therefore, Helpers who can help with l...

Hello!! 🌿 We love having helpers and really enjoy welcoming travellers into our home. We’ve hosted through HelpX fo rmany years and have had some wonderful experiences meeting people from all over the world. Please note that the reviews on our profile relate to our previous home in the Blue Mountains. We have since moved to North Turramurra, on Sydney’s beautiful Upper North Shore, and have a completely new setup for our helpers. We now have a beautiful, fully self-contained granny flat underneath our home, which gives our helpers their own private space, independence and freedom to enjoy their time in Sydney. 🏡 Your accommodation The granny flat is fully self-contained and comfortable, with everything you need to live independently. We think it’s a great setup for travellers who enjoy having their own space and privacy, while still being close enough to our family home if you’d like to have a chat, share a meal or get to know each other. 🌿 The work We are looking for a sing...

Ben and I (Polly) live in the beautiful northern beaches suburb of Kewarra Beach, located a 25 minute drive north from the centre of Cairns, Far North Queensland. We live on a standard suburban block in a four bedroom, 2 bathroom simple home. We love our garden and specifically growing tropical fruits and vegetables - there is always something to pick and eat! We have bantam chickens who roam the yard by day. We are in our late 30s, are both full time workers, working from home, Monday to Friday. We travel a little for work so will need to work around those dates. We are after 1-2 helpxers at a time, ideally for a 1-2 week stay, to help us with our garden, painting the outside of our house (depending on your experience, the weather) and other general house items. On the weekends when we are not working we will be working along side you too. As it is hot we find working earlier in the morning or later in the day best for the outside jobs. We provide a bedroom with either two sin...

We operate a small husband and wife online plant nursery and in our free time we enjoy taking a wwoofer or 2 out on regular boating trips catching barramundi and reef fish, crocodile spotting, fishing and exploring the islands, snorkeling around the Great Barrier Reef and Whale and Dolphin spotting, ... so we would prefer folks that have an interest in boating/fishing and happy to tie their own fishing knots and set the anchor and dont get sea-sick....The more enthusiastic you are to help preparing the boats and cleaning up after the trips the more enthusiastic we are to take you out.... and the boating when the weather suits is a reward for your hard work in helping us out....we prefer to host people for 2 weeks or longer and this will give the best chance of getting the full experience as well as making a meaningful contribution to our lives and property.. From mid- September we would particularly love to host one or 2 people to help out around the garden, plant nursery and farm/or...

We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week. Our preference is for a single person or couple who have some skil...

Looking for those who appreciate 4hrs of daily work alongside us as a fair exchange for wholesome meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner provided + seasonal fruit), your own private space, satellite Wi-fi and access to beautiful, private, natural surroundings with lots of native wildlife like wallabies and pademelons. In your free time, volunteers can go swimming, enjoy many of the hikes on and around our property (plus we adjoin 8,000ha/20,000ac of National Park) and meet/spend time with our animals, read , meditate, do yoga/fitness, satellite wifi, bird watching, platypus watching...etc. We have a lot of info on our page, mainly so we get the right people applying to volunteer here. The work is usually physical (ie no cute animal feeding - that`s in your free time if you express an interest to Claire), but we offer a very fair exchange for those motivated to contribute their 4hrs of daily work. You don`t need prior experience, but must be willing to help out. We don`t want surprises...

Welcome to this very special place by the beach along the East Coast in Tasmania. We live on just over 4 acres of land and are starting to create a garden and plant more native trees on the land. We are also building a labyrinth. We are receiving visitors from the 15th September 2026. Tasks on the land include gardening, wood stacking, tree planting and helping with the creation on our labyrinth. We especially welcome people with an interest in community living. We are part of an online community, see my website link below, which includes a vision of lived community with values of nonviolence and liberation for all. I am also a facilitator of the Work that Reconnects, see website link below. If you have an interest in exploring how we can live on the earth more lightly and in a regenerative way, this is the place to come and explore and have those conversations. We are just starting on this journey on this land and are experimenting in what supports choice, togetherness and flow...

We live in a fun share house 🏡 in Maryborough, Marry Poppins Town, with awesome meals 🍝, fireplace 🔥 and a big edible garden 🌾🌴🌳🌿. We're Mars, the owner of the property and former owner of multiple language schools and Tracy, a former theatre/restaurant owner who's cooking the most amazing meals and looking after everyone like a mum. There're 2 adorable dogs 🐕‍🦺🐕 in the family, so you must be a dog 🦮 lover. Also 6 chicken 🐓 and 2 ducks 🦆, so we always have fresh eggs 🪺. We need help with building and creating, and with an awesome edible garden. We're about to put 12v solar power into the rooms, also natural air-conditioning and are finishing up the spa bath in the 2nd bathroom... so there's a bit for you to learn and lots of knowledge to take home. We like to work with fun 🥳, laughter 😂, music 🎶 and love to see you letting a bit of your craziness out 🤪. Be yourself and join the family... We have had many awesome experiences with travellers so far 😃. Please no...

Learn about gardening, woodworking and find yourself on a journey to your soul in Macclesfield, South Australia Thank you for your interest in volunteering. We appreciate help, enjoy young people having an excuse to visit the beautiful and interesting places Adelaide, the hills and the Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia have to offer with them. Please read through all the text below and only apply if you think this is for you. We live on a 2-hectare property with the young Angas River running through. We have organic gardens with fruit trees, all sorts of berries, vegetable gardens with free roaming bantams, big layer hens, flower beds, lawns as well as a goat on paddocks and a cute house cat. 1 of our 4 kids, Katharina, is living next door with her partner.
