Hi Helpxers, **We have availability from now, 4th December to 21st December for 1-2 Helpxers** Ben and I (Polly) live in the beautiful northern beaches suburb of Kewarra Beach, located a 25 minute drive north from the centre of Cairns, Far North Queensland. We live on a standard suburban block in a four bedroom, 2 bathroom simple home. We love our garden and specifically growing tropical fruits and vegetables - there is always something to pick and eat! We have bantam chickens who roam the yard by day. We are in our late 30s, are both full time workers, Ben from our home office and me from an office in town, Monday to Friday. We travel a little for work so will need to work around those dates. We are after 1-2 helpxers at a time, ideally for a 1-2 week stay, to help us with our garden, painting the outside of our house (depending on your experience, the weather) and other general house items. On the weekends when we are not working we will be working along side you too. As i...

Currently looking for a dog/house sitter from 22nd December to 6th February I have a room available in exchange for walking the dog, feeding the chickens, keeping the house clean and cooking. Someone with experience with a larger breed dog would be ideal but not essential. If you would like to take Nellie to the beaches and parks, I'm happy to supply you a vehicle to do so. The room is in my property and the bathroom is shared. I'm 39, and have two housemates that rent the external 'granny flat'. I like to get out in the nature whenever possible. I run my own real estate company, managing people's investment property/holiday homes and like the idea of sharing times with new people that don't work in my company. My house is located on the 'city fringe' in Cairns. Access to the city is available by bus and there are shops within walking distance. I am very busy with work but would be available 1 or 2 days a week to go out exploring the local area and sights. Paddleboarding, wakeboardi...

Hi folks, YES, we achieved a lot since returning from a 3+ year break in Feb 2022, beautifying our wonderful Paradise Gardens property, something we could not have done on our own. We are thankful for having had great assistance from amazing volunteers over the years, enriching our lives culturally and socially while progressing our beautification projects. We are a fit & energetic older couple with the following background: - Rene, 69yo, Swiss origin, Architect / Photographer / Traveller / Retired Resort Owner & Operator / Retired Tour Operator / Retired Restaurateur / Handyman (DIY Building) / Landscaper / Gardener. - Julie, 64yo, Philippine origin, Chef / Traveller / Retired Resort Owner & Operator / Retired Tour Operator / Retired Restaurateur. Our hosting and workflow are intermediate; as such, there may be breaks in between, and preferences and requirements may change. Having said that, we currently have a couple of exciting new work opportunities available: ------------------...

I run a lovely health clinic from home and have a medium sized garden that I would LOVE some help with! 🤩 mowing, weeding, painting, planting veggies 🥦 🍅🥬 You would have your own room and I will cook yummy dinner each night (you can prepare your own Brekky and lunch from the kitchen). In exchange I ask for 4 hours help in the garden (or house) /day. A couple or single person is fine as long as you are keen to help and moderately fit ☺️ The setting is lovely, an easy walk to town or nearby bushwalks 🌳🌸☺️ I hope to make your time with us really lovely. I usually check emails once a day, if you would like a quicker response please txt me. I look forward to hearing from you, Rowena

I am seeking some travellers who may be in The Brisbane area around December 6 or 9 for a short stay.. ( 5 days) My home is a two story red cedar home , surrounded by trees, bird life and only metres from the beautiful Morwong Beach. This is a place of peace and tranquillity. There is a yurt with a Queen and single bed which would be your accommodation but of course you would be welcome in the house at all times. We are a small permaculture homestead and share-house with a focus on regen agriculture, natural building & communal living. We are in the early stage of our journey, as we build our house and set up the homestead infrastructure. Long-term, our plan is to be semi-self-sufficient, and to grow almost all of the food we need to feed ourselves, and the friends/housemates who will live here with us. (We are a residential homestead, not a commercial farm). We are a thriving and bustling community homestead with 12 adults and 4 kids living here together. ****NOTE: There is NO public transport directly to our place but we are 5kms from a train station - you will need to bring a car or we have bikes to borrow**** ABOUT OUR HOME In our home we excel at tasty home-made food, deep conversation, laughter, play and great hugs. We love having an open and welcoming house where friends or family can pop in, kids can roam and play, and guests feel at home. We enjoy spending time at home with our house...

The studio is available now until 20th Dec. My house is in Tempe, Sydney, a handy suburb to experience Sydney. We are just 9 minutes by train to the Sydney Centre and Bondi Junction is another 11 minutes further on. The airport is a short 12 minutes train to nearby Wolli Creek Station, or about $25 by Uber/Taxi. The city and trendy Newtown and Marrickville are nearby and easily accessible by bus. I have been fortunate to have amazing Helpx helpers who have helped me transform my garden and house over the past 11 months. The only major job still needed is wall tiling, concreting the sandstone paving into place and a very small amount of painting. As with most old houses though, there is always ongoing maintenance, cleaning, weeding etcl. In addition, I recently listed a self-contained one bedroom flat on AirBnB so help managing the listing, including photos, pricing etc and changeover of bedding and cleaning would be helpful. I could also do with help editing my website and managing ot...

After my husband died in 2022 I am living with my daughter Bess (22) maintaining the vegetable garden and the house by myself. She lives in one of the buildings on the property. We live on an urban block in a suburb of Maryborough. There are 3 public parks around me and my property is close to the Mary River. There are lots of kangaroos to observe. We are only 30 min by car from the ocean in Hervey Bay. I love to cook and entertain. I offer for single or couple a bedroom with bathroom, The vegetable garden needs topping up soil and mulch, some trimming of hedges, some maintenance on the house like painting some areas outside (wooden Queenslander), maintaining the gutters and weeding. All jobs are able to be done in 4 hours or less.

I am hoping there are some people willing to come and give me a hand getting the spring planting underway. No smoking or vaping on the property at all. No exceptions. NO SMELLY, PERFUMED SHAMPOO, CONDITIONER, BODYWASH SUNSCREENS OR DEODORANTS PLEASE, I CAN SUPPLY ALTERNATIVES. How about heading south to the most beautiful part of Australia? Or if you are already in Tasmania, that's a bonus. We are always welcoming and love to show off our stunning island home. Work would involve getting the garden ready for planting this Spring and other various farm jobs. Nothing too hard or difficult. I'd like some help clearing and establishing some walking tracks through the forest on the property. I prefer people with experience in gardening and farm work. Looking for someone from now, through the next few weeks. When you first contact me [or any other host] it is very helpful to tell us what date you would like to arrive and leave. We live on a 5 acre hobby farm in the beautiful Huon Valley, Southern Tasmania. Our family consists of three active children, two horses, many chickens, and two gorgeous dogs. We grow organic vegetables and breed heritage chickens in an attempt to be more sustainable. Jobs involve general gardening, helping with the animals and housekeeping. If you would like a Tassie small farm experience email us with some details of the work you have previously done. We have separate accommodation, with a bathroom. All our HelpXers have loved working and living with us and I hope you will too (please remember Tassie is a cold place in winter). There are many areas of natural beauty in Southern Tasmania which are all fairly close to us. For example, the Hartz mountains, Hastings Caves and the Tahune Airwalk. We live close to a sleepy village called Cygnet and Hobart is only a 40min drive away. (Unfortunately we can't approve second year visas)

Our property is a 140 acre "bush block" that is surrounded by natural bushland (Kinglake National Park and Yan Yean Reservoir). We have rolling hills with gullies and creeks to explore on foot or on our purpose built mountain bike track. Along the way you will see and hear kangaroos, lyre birds, wombats and maybe even the odd koala. You will also have access to a pool and tennis court should the weather be on your side. We are both in our mid 40's and have two young boys; we all love to have fun outside and so come and join us. Hello, I’m David! I have sold my coffee shop after 45 years in the hospitality trade, where travelling workers would once work, however I STILL offer helpers the same excellent own room lodging as homestay & great food in exchange for a little light work and some social contact. I live close the train station and bus stop and am a 30 min trip by train to Melbourne City. There is a vehicle to drive locally if are appropriately licensed. You are welcome to use it. I go to the outback in western New South Wales about 3 times a year for the purpose of experiencing the beautiful "timeless land" of Australia and to legally hunt feral animals which endanger our wildlife. I often take workers to the outback so they can have a taste of the real Australia and I can assure that none of the numerous helpers/woofers I have taken over a many year period did not thoroughly enjoy it. . However the choice is theirs whether they accompany myself or whether they stay and "mind the house" I also oft...

I live between a yacht on Sydney Harbour and a house in a tall eucalyptus forest on the mid north coast of NSW, and need some assistance in working on the house and on another yacht.  I'm a carpenter who worked with National Parks and Wildlife for 25 years before retiring, and live with a small dog Billy. I've had many helpers come stay over the last few years and have been lucky to have so many interesting travellers stay.  The yacht, is currently on the hard at Whoota where we are renovating her while helping with work on Joyelle. I often take helpers out sailing to see the magnificent Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House this is not possiable while Joyelle is being worked on. Yet, I hope to invite helpers out when she is back in the water. The house is located in Whoota, near Forster. It is surrounded by forest and located a 10 minute drive from pristine beaches, lakes, and bushwalks. There a lots of dolphins to see and beautiful areas to explore. The work we are doing on the ho...

We live on a small acreage about 20 minutes outside of Bundaberg. It is in a quiet, rural area with lots of animals - dogs, cats, geese, guinea fowl and ducks. Wild kangaroos regularly feed in the paddock near our house. Our 3 daughters are currently living away studying, therefore we have lots of room for people to stay at our house. Helpers would have their own separate part of the house with their own bedroom, bathroom, toilet and lounge room. We have access to wireless internet and are able to pick up helpers from Bundaberg if they do not have their own car. We would like some assistance with feeding/caring for the animals, housework, gardening and painting. We enjoy meeting new people and learning about their cultures. We have hosted a lot of helpers in the past and thought it was time to start again as we met so many great people.

Hi, we are a family of 3 (mum and 2 teenagers) in the beautiful Yarra Valley town of Healesville.

We live on an urban block in a suburb of Maryborough. There are 3 public parks around me and my property is close to the Mary River. There are lots of kangaroos to observe. We are only 30 min by car from the ocean in Hervey Bay. I love to cook and entertain.

*October 2024 UPDATE* We are looking for a couple or two friends to stay for a couple of weeks or more if agreed. We are preparing our property for sale and we need to clean it up. There is much work removing trees, tidying up the garden and removing debris from the fires and recent storms. There is also cleaning work helping Cate with her property management business. During free time you are welcome to borrow our electric scooters and go swimming and exploring. We live in Mallacoota, one of Australia's most beautiful places on the southeast coast. It is a World Biosphere Reserve in the middle of the Croajingolong National Park next to the ocean with an estuarine lake system and many, many beaches. We are 2km from the town centre and 3km from the nearest beach. There are about seven magnificent beaches within 10km of us. Mallacoota is 540km from Melbourne, 630km from Sydney and 360km from Canberra with limited access via public transport so keep that in mind when planning your ...

We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. And we always take our HelpX guests for a sail in our sailboat, Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week. Our...
