I will introduce you to the wonder that is Dodges Ferry. Dodges Ferry is a village with beautiful beaches, some shops (IGA, Chemist, Bakery, Coffee Shop) and a magnificent community garden. Great cafes overlook the main beach. It is wondrous and relaxed port of call for any traveler. Guest will be able to help with gardening, cooking, cleaning etc. From time to time there will be maintenance jobs (painting, repairs). Preferably work in the morning and then free time after lunch. We are best suited to accommodate a couple or 2 friends travelling together and wanting to stay for 2 weeks or more. Helper accommodation is very neat self contained studio style cottage, with your own King Bed, Lounge, kitchen, bathroom and meals area. We would welcome anyone with any handyman skills etc. General duties include caring for the animals, gardening, mowing, weeding, fence repairs, painting, wood splitting and other odd jobs. We can provide accommodation in exchange for 20 hours per week. We are 5km from the local shops and public transport, so it is more convenient if you have your own vehicle.

I live between a yacht on Sydney Harbour and a house in a tall eucalyptus forest on the mid north coast of NSW, and need some assistance in working on the house and on another yacht.  I'm a carpenter who worked with National Parks and Wildlife for 25 years before retiring, and live with a small dog Billy. I've had many helpers come stay over the last few years and have been lucky to have so many interesting travellers stay.  My yacht, is currently on the hard at Whoota, where we are renovating her while helping with work on her. I often take helpers out sailing to see the magnificent Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House but this is not possible while she is being worked on.
