Hi beautiful people! I’m Christine, a happy spirited former language and arts teacher working across two continents. Since I retired I work in the natural health field. I live on an urban block called The Roo‘s Pouch, where I maintain a sustainable vegetable garden and created a community of nice people living with me. I live in one of the three buildings on this sunny property which runs on rainwater harvesting. We avoid chlorine and contaminates by filtering, harmonizing and ionizing our water. So water conservation is part of life for me. The corner block is in a suburb of Maryborough. There are 3 beautiful public parks surrounding with lots of kangaroos hopping peacefully around, near to the Mary River. The historic city of Maryborough has a lot to offer and is the home town of Mary Poppins. We are only 30 min by car from the ocean in Hervey Bay with wale watching when in season. Hervey Bay is at the doorsteps of Fraser Island/K’Gari. I offer for single or couple a bedroom wit...

I have an opening for a volunteer person to help me with everyday life of looking after animals and some gardening, weeding & basic maintenance of the farm and some house duties in COLLINSVILLE north Qld. I can only accommodate one person. This is a great opportunity to get away from the city life and enjoy some country living. I have cats horses and chooks. There will be horse riding/training that you can help me with , I do western ranch & trail training, so I prefer someone that has riding experience 😀🐎 Meals and accommodation wifi are supplied. Accommodation is a little caravan close by the house, which has a mini art gallery. ( if you like painting or doing craft we can do some painting ) Prefer 1 month stay, but shorter stays like 2 weeks are ok too. We live in a slightly isolated quiet area being 80km from the nearest big town & the coast( and the beautiful beaches of Bowen in the Whitsundays !😊) but do live in a small town where we have 2 supermarkets, post office , ha...

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON Need help.with a garden clean up.at the moment. You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one rough headed ,skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town, which is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay. Two hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around. There is a mountain on my farm with lots...

It looks like we are full until at least June but you are still welcomed to make inquiries about future dates. We appreciate help with DIY construction, repairs and maintenance, timber work, boat work, metal work repairs to trailers and for help with gardening, housekeeing, cooking, duck and chicken rearing and dog walking on the beach. Fishing, snorkelling, and rainforest walks can help occupy your spare time. We are looking for reasonably good DIY handymen and women, capable of working effectively, when necessary, on your own or as a pair and, ideally, someone who also has some gardening experience, but that is not really necessary, learn on the job! 😉👍. So you need to be a "morning person" who is happy to start work at 07.00 hr, at least five mornings a week, not a night-owl. This is to avoid the heat of the afternoons at this time of year, mornings ca n be beautiful. Much of the work will be outside, based out of a well-equipped, air-conditioned, woodworking workshop an...

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . Located 12 minutes the pristine beach’...

Hello Everyone, We've been hosting through helpx for over 10 years, we enjoy learning about cultures and people from all over the world. We have the pleasure of living on 350+ acres of natural bush country in Brooweena, Queensland. We have converted a bus to a tiny home, and we are currently building a shipping container home, this is a priority and would love people to help. We also grow a lot of our own food and have fruit trees. We are 100% off-grid with all our electricity from solar and tanks, dam, and rain for water. We have a friendly dog who loves to play. Our goal is to be as self-sufficient as possible, improve the soil, and regenerate the land to a healthy ecosystem. We use Permaculture Design methods. This means we don't use any chemical sprays, artificial fertilizer or mono-cropping on our land and live the values of Earth Care, People Care and Fair Share. It's a very exciting time for us to be embarking on our farming adventure, and we would like to share this ti...

Hi there! I'm a 36 year old regenerative farmer near Daylesford about 1.5 hours North West of Melbourne and I've been farming here for just over 12 years now. Work on the farm is varied but mainly consists of helping with the cows, varied farm projects, weeding, harvesting vegetables, small scale construction and lounging in the woodfired bath! Also if you have any ideas of projects you would like to be involved in building on the farm we would love to hear from you. On our wish list at the moment is building a tiny house, a wood-fired hot tub, bio-gas digester, rocket stove and the list goes on! We have unlimited wifi here and will provide organic food for you to cook and also have some group dinners too. Accommodation is in a separate caravan that is perfect for couples. For more information and photos check out the website link above and if you're interested in helping out get in touch. Seeking someone who likes light handyman/ gardening type activities, nothing too extreme, for a stay of at least two days to a week (negotiable). I am based at Calico Creek which is a peaceful scenic area, 15 minutes from the regional township of Gympie so you will need your own transport. Gympie is 2 hours north of Brisbane. I have had helpers previously under another listing when I ran a bed and breakfast locally at Lagoon Pocket which I found a great experience. There may also an opportunity of work locally at Nolan's Meats in Gympie. They often employ backpackers on the 88 days visa. www.nolan.com.au

This is a home stay situated on a sugarcane farm 18km north of Proserpine. Not far from Airle Beach and Whitsundays. There are a variety of chores, I work in the sugar mill but also have a lot of work around my house and sheds. We’re renting a granny flat, and some times there is some cleaning work to be done. I have a young dog and chooks to take care of. It is very quiet where I live, so if you are looking for some peace and quiet to get away. Where are we? Our land sharing Co-operative is located halfway between Port Macquarie and Crescent Head, approximately 5 hours drive north of Sydney. Started in 2000, we are working to create a community that encourages self sufficiency in an affordable rural setting. Our aims include promoting organic produce and permaculture, alternative technology, arts and music, and respect for the environmental values of this unusual and very special place. Who are we? i have been on couchsurfing network for years hosting many people.. and i think this HelpX network is a great idea. Actually i prefer it now. I am flexible with my time (especially during the week days) and love to hang out and make new friends.. In the summer I travel around Victoria and Australia a lot, going on road trips with friends and many music festivals -camping in the bush etc.. I am into music (composing/playing); Alternative health / medicine ; Electronics / Engineering / technology ; Anything weird wacky unusual unexplained strange secret, and business combining most of the above, ;) .. The world is full of amazing things and possibilities and Life can never be dull for the seeker with an open mind. I am very passionate about hidden truths and wisdom and always keen to learn and share (if called for) I do not drink or smoke and i like vegetarian food but i m pretty flexible.. During the warmer months me and my crew travel to various outdoor music festivals around Aust...

Self contained stand alone unit in exchange for 2 hours of work a day each person. Lots of gardening and maybe some building of cob structures subject to weather. I live up high in the hills of Devon North, with big open views stretching all the way out to Bass Strait on a clear day. It’s one of those places that feels a bit like your own little world. The spot on offer is a quirky, self-contained two-storey place with two massive windows that make the most of the view (and the weather moods that roll through). I’m just 12 km from Yarram (population 3,000), so you’re close enough for a coffee run but far enough to feel properly away from it all. There are empty beaches, rainforest, and national parks all within cooee. Day-to-day life here leans into natural building, gardening, horse training and riding, and the usual mix of farm bits and pieces. I genuinely love it — but it’s definitely more fun with a sidekick. If you like fresh air, a bit of dirt under your nails, a good view, a...

Hi, we’re Terry (64) & Tricia (56)! We live on a beautiful 5 acre lifestyle property in Yandaran, about 35 km north of Bundaberg. Yandaran is a small rural village surrounded by farmland, offering a relaxed country atmosphere. We love showing people around our wonderful area - you can enjoy fishing, catching mud crabs, exploring freshwater river crossings, and visiting a beautiful beach only minutes away. We’re looking for some help putting the finishing touches on our property- small fencing jobs for animal yards, establishing lawn and garden areas and a few homestead projects. We offer accommodation in our 21 foot caravan, complete with own toilet and bathroom. We haven’t hosted for a few years, but we have previous experience as hosts and made many friends around the world because of it - and we look forward to meeting many more!

Hello! Thank you for reading our profile. Guy, myself, and our dog Ava would love to welcome you to our home and community here in Far North Queensland — a place like no other. We live at the northern edge of the Daintree Rainforest, beside the pristine waters of Wallaby Creek, which is safe for swimming, and surrounded by beautiful bush walks. There is so much to enjoy here. Just a few kilometres north is the famous Lions Den Hotel, which offers live music during the tourist season and is a true local icon. Heading south through the Daintree to Port Douglas, you’ll find some of the most breathtaking coastal scenery in Australia. On your days off, we’d be delighted to take you exploring through the hills and show you some of the amazing places only locals know about. Living in the tropics means we experience severe weather events fairly often, especially during the wet season, with heavy rain, flooding, and cyclones. Fortunately, our home is on a hill and has remained safe. We are p...

We moved to the our property 5 years ago, in a beautiful part of the world, the Northern Rivers, and are building our hobby farm. We would like help and to share this beautiful property and our journey. Help required on the looking after animals (sheep, goat, chickens, dogs), build veggie gardens, general garden maintenance, mowing (lots of mowing on ride on mower), tree removal and native tree planting (we planted over 1000 trees in 2024) and general building projects. The projects will depend on weather, skills and time available but can be tailored to suite what needs to be done and what you would like to do! We have had many birds make their home here, including kingfishers, ducks, herons, spoonbills, rainforest birds such as parrots. We...

We are looking for a couple or two friends to stay for a couple of weeks or more if agreed. We are maintaining our property for sale and we need to keep in condition. There is work removing trees, tidying up the garden and removing debris from the fires and recent storms. There is also cleaning work helping Cate with property management. During free time you are welcome to borrow our electric scooters and go swimming and exploring. We live in Mallacoota, one of Australia's most beautiful places on the southeast coast. It is a World Biosphere Reserve in the middle of the Croajingolong National Park next to the ocean with an estuarine lake system and many, many beaches. We are 2km from the town centre and 3km from the nearest beach. There are about seven magnificent beaches within 10km of us. Mallacoota is 540km from Melbourne, 630km from Sydney and 360km from Canberra with limited access via public transport so keep that in mind when planning your schedule. Our family includes M...

We live in a large old house 20km inland of Byron Bay, in a quiet area of farmland and bush. We have a large garden and vegetable garden which is where we primarily need help. We have chickens, cats and 2 donkeys! We can offer a separate 'cottage' to stay in, and we provide all meals- some helpers have not wanted to go home! There is our new natural pool to cool off in too. In return we request 4 hours of genuine work per day. We are 8km from the nearest village so your own car is a big advantage, although we can pick you up if you don't have transport. Our family loves the cultural exchange aspect of HelpX and looks forward to meeting you and learning about your country. Right now we have work to do outdoors mainly weeding, some heavy lifting, pool cleaning, painting & gardening.

We have recently returned from a 5 week trip to Canada and are looking forward to getting back to work. David will be available to help, instruct & supervise. EXPERIENCE in outdoors work with lawn tractors, whipper snippers, saws and machetes would be a great asset. A couple of such workers would be ideal. That said, we plan to have a great time with our helpers as always, treating you members of our family. We love conversation, playing cards and touring with our volunteers to the national parks, beaches, museums galleries etc. that our fabulous region has to offer. All the amazing flora and fauna, the flowers, trees, wallabies, goannas and birds, birds, birds are still here to delight you! Please come and HELP US! As previously listed: We are now available from April to mid December 2026 and from mid January 2027 onward. Hi, my name is Mary. I live on the border of NSW and Victoria, a town called Albury. There is a train service to Albury from Sydney about 9 hours and Melbourne about 5 hours train trip. I am happy to pick someone from the Albury railway station. Albury is a pretty town on the Hume Highway. It is inland on the Murray River and there are a lot of local attractions, vineyards, historical small towns, snow fields and many more, only a few hours drive. I am located in town, with the railway station and the airport not too far, about 15minutes drive. I am fully vaccinated and require the same of a helper. I only take Non-smokers (meaning you do not smoke at all, outside as well). Currently I am asking for 2.5hrs a day for board only. You can cook for yourselves, buy supplies locally and after cooking clean your area. I would like help with the garden and other general duties around the house, such as cleaning. If you are travelling this way, either going to Melbourne or locally and can hel...

Main projects at the moment are helping with the cattle, collecting firewood, farm tidying up a...

I would also be happy to show you around the area, take you fishing, I have a boat and would love to show you around the Whitsundays weather permitting, maybe catch some crabs explain some of the wildlife in the area. There are lots of beautiful places to see here. We have hosted exchange students in the past and it has been very fulfilling, sharing different cultures.

We are p...

We prefer COUPLES or two singles traveling together and would like them to stay for at least 3 weeks. If you are a single and are willing to stay for 4 weeks we...
