I am flexible with my time (especially during the week days) and love to hang out and make new friends.. In the summer I travel around Victoria and Australia a lot, going on road trips with friends and many music festivals -camping in the bush etc.. I am into music (composing/playing); Alternative health / medicine ; Electronics / Engineering / technology ; Anything weird wacky unusual unexplained strange secret, and business combining most of the above, ;) .. The world is full of amazing things and possibilities and Life can never be dull for the seeker with an open mind. UPDATE: Currently this helpx position is most suited to couples, preferably with a car and some renovation experience. We are a multi generation family and we live in a large family home on a beautiful outer suburban property by a creek. On our doorstep are beautiful wildflower walk trails (and kangaroos!:) in Mundy Regional Park and Lesmurdie Falls National Park. Kanyana Wildlife sanctuary is nearby. We have a large garden that needs lots of work. I have an art studio where I conduct art classes for children. The home is located in the Perth hills about 30 minutes from the city centre and 15 minutes to the airport. The accommodation is a large bedroom** in a self contained apartment on the ground floor. This area is currently being renovated but the bathroom and small kitchen are still usable. ** Helpers can also use the family space upstairs and we can all cook/eat together in the large family kitchen. ****taking bookings for late August and Sept 2026**** I have been a Helpx and similar host for 12 years and have really enjoyed meeting, mentoring and sharing my life with so many travellers from every corner of the world. In January 2025, I started a new adventure, moving from Lowden Ridge, my beautiful scenic 100 acre working farm (where i maintained a productive olive grove and also raised cattle, sheep and goats), to a much smaller and tranquil 8 acre hobby farm which I have nicknamed Shady Acres. The new property is set amongst a majestic grove of eucalyptus trees, and is located in Irish Town, just 5 minutes north of the town of Donnybrook. In the last 16 months, with the help of some wonderful backpackers, I have built new fences, new veggie gardens, started a new orchard of fruit and nut trees, built small shelters for the goats and revamped the old chicken coop. I am currently seeking helpers to continuing growing my new farm. Some of the projects planned in the comin...

Hello travellers, and a warm welcome to beautiful Olinda - I am Vita and delighted to host you. **Currently seeking Helper/s who can work in the garden or use a chainsaw to cut fire wood. Or a carpenter who can help repair weather damaged external timber windows. Or someone with mechanical experience to service chainsaw and lawn mowers. Or a Helper with sewing skills and can use a sewing machine. Or a helper who can restore and refinish furniture. I appreciate self-starters and Helpers with initiative, who do not always need to be told what to do and are capable of putting in a full days work. Weeding and garden work is always a go-to if you are waiting instructions. Helpers will sometimes be left to work by themselves as I don’t always have time to supervise them. Therefore, Helpers who can help with l...

Would like to learn and look after a vineyard and winery this season, no experience is necessary. Established in 1998 and hosting HELPXers for over 15 years, it is the only certified organic winery in the Perth region. It is situated in the Swan Valley, 7km from Elenbrook and 15km from the Perth airport. The vineyard has 3,000 vines, a large house we live in, a machinery shed, and a winery/distillery on the property. Winemaking occurs during the summer months from January to March. A large, spacious room with a double bed, attached to the house, has a private entrance. Applications for mature couples as applicants are now open. Opportunities for vineyard and maintenance work are available. Couples with Visitor Visas are also welcome. I want (NON-smoking) volunteers who wish to experience domestic, distillery, vineyard, and winemaking work. During the season, there are generally outdoor activities, such as winery and vine work, plus gardening if it is not raining or too hot. Be ...

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . Hi, I'm Steve, I am a retired old fart at 65 and live alone, except for regular travelers I host. I live close the Strand (Beach) in Townsville in a 2 bedroom unit. I can offer you a king size bed in your own room. I used to be an active couchsurfing host but have given that away as i don't like the changes they have made to the way they operate now, nor the quality of surfers. I'm pretty open minded and I don't judge people. There is no work required here, just help keep the place clean and tidy. I prefer to share the evening meals as though it is your own home. I don't operate my home as a hostel and I am used to having people in my home, and it's a fairly relaxed environment. Basically I would just like you to come into my home and be a part of it and don't shit on the floor. The last few Helpers have become flatmates after a couple of weeks. The current helper has been here for 6 months and starts travelling very soon. The one before her was here 2 years. I am looking for a suita...

I live between a yacht on Sydney Harbour and a house in a tall eucalyptus forest on the mid north coast of NSW, and need some assistance in working on the house and on another yacht.  I'm a carpenter who worked with National Parks and Wildlife for 25 years before retiring, and live with a small dog Billy. I've had many helpers come stay over the last few years and have been lucky to have so many interesting travellers stay.  My yacht, is currently on the hard at Whoota, where we are renovating her while helping with work on her. I often take helpers out sailing to see the magnificent Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House but this is not possible while she is being worked on. Yet, I hope to invite helpers out when she is back in the water. The house is located in Whoota, near Forster. It is surrounded by forest and located a 10 minute drive from pristine beaches, lakes, and bushwalks. There a lots of dolphins to see and beautiful areas to explore. The work we are doing on the house ...

...The Quiet Retreat, a Lifestyle Property , located on the north East Coast of Tasmania , St Marys. ...!! With only the help of many hard working wwoofer's/HelpX'ers , I started to build the house and clear the land here 26 years ago, so this place is a BIG BIG credit to all my helpers who worked here with me, enjoyed their stay and left their footprint..! These days instead of my helpers assisting me , I assist my helpers LOL , usually in the morning and than we try to cook a meal , please, understand that I am not a good cook, so help there is esp. welcome, vegetarian only. I feel that for the helpers who come here, maybe, apart from the usual work, self improvement/development could be one of their priorities... a good library of books is available and some very nice music... In the past I practiced meditation/looked at Zen/Osho/Vipassana etc, I love music and most of the time there is music in the house. This is a Private Forest Reserve, 80 acre property, 7km from St M...

We live in a large old house 20km inland of Byron Bay, in a quiet area of farmland and bush. We have a large garden and vegetable garden which is where we primarily need help. We have chickens, cats and 2 donkeys! We can offer a separate 'cottage' to stay in, and we provide all meals- some helpers have not wanted to go home! There is our new natural pool to cool off in too. In return we request 4 hours of genuine work per day. We are 8km from the nearest village so your own car is a big advantage, although we can pick you up if you don't have transport. Our family loves the cultural exchange aspect of HelpX and looks forward to meeting you and learning about your country. Right now we have work to do outdoors mainly weeding, pool cleaning, painting & gardening.

I am an aquatic ecologist who has fortunately been working out of our coastal rain-forest property for 35 years. Driven by strong curiosity, I have recently been developing long-term data sets on the animal life in the forest that surrounds our home, plus on tropical marine fish that are steadily increasing in numbers under the influence of climate change at the nearby very beautiful Seal Rocks area (for details click on my website link below). We have 20 acres with 2 acres cleared and the remainder moist tall forest and rainforest. It is on the coast 3 hrs drive north of Sydney (1.5km from Smiths Lake; 30km south of Forster) See my blog link below to glimpse the accommodation, typical work and fun. We have a 180 squ m vegetable garden at times needing attention which has been enclosed to keep out our friends the wallabies (pademelons), possums, parrots and native bush turkeys. Bush regeneration is another activity as well as assisting in ecological surveys of local rivers when t...

Welcome to Bago maze and wine , a family operated business PLEASE read our description and our conditions at the end as we feel some helpers are arriving unprepared to live away from easy access to shopping or other activities. We are literally in the bush(forest) We have an ongoing construction of paths through our forest for environmental walks if you want to participate in their construction as well as maintaining our present mazes , one operational and one in development stage. If you have a passion for making structures out of timber (Australian hardwoods) we are in a small building phase, it’s easy to learn a lot from a passionate timber person . Winner of the 2022 New South Wales and Australian National landscape architecture award for the best small projects for our maze. We are in the phase of expanding our maze areas. This is going to be a place of gardens and dreams , if you are interested in making a large outdoor art installation out of natural materials we will welco...

Hi beautiful people! I’m Christine, a happy spirited former language and arts teacher working across two continents. Since I retired I work in the natural health field. I live on an urban block called The Roo‘s Pouch, where I maintain a sustainable vegetable garden and created a community of nice people living with me. I live in one of the buildings on this sunny property which runs on rainwater harvesting. We avoid chlorine and contaminates by filtering, harmonizing, and energizing our own water though Ionisation. Water conservation is part of life for me. You can come to Maryborough via plane, bus or train. The Hervey Bay Airport is only 30min from my home. There are meanwhile several bus companies to choose from. If you use the train please book Maryborough town from the drop down menu. The shuttle bus from the train station in Maryborough west (20 min out of town) is free of charge if it is pre-booked. As international travelers you qualify for a concession card on Queensland trai...

Hi Lovely Help Xchangers Looking for a host mid to late August 2026? Want to walk to surf beaches, wetlands and a lake? These are all nearby. Sometimes you can even hear the surf from your bedroom. ***Only two people together for 5 days to a week *** Mostly I have specific projects, plus some tidying and gardening. Things someone short like me can't reach or need two people take priority! I recently had both knees replaced which has a long recovery period and greatly limits my ability to do the large tasks around the house. There are always lots of small tasks, which can vary from sorting/cleaning out cupboards, car detailing, fixing things, changing lightbulbs or anything I can't reach. It depends on what your skills are. I even had one helpx couple host my birthday party, cooking and serving food and drinks which was a great success. Some of the current projects I need help with might include (depending on my current priority, your skills and how long you stay): - weeding and...

This is a Standardbred Race Horse (Harness Racing) farm at the foot of Tamborine Mountain. Located 45 minutes from Brisbane in the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland. The closest train station is Beenleigh. Your own car is a plus. We welcome working holiday visa holders with good horse experience and most importantly a passion for horses !! In order to learn your daily task, routine and horses personalities, we will ask you to stay a minimum of 3 weeks. Long stays are really welcome. We start each morning training the horses, washing them and feeding them. All the retired horses need to be feed and watered as well. We need to feed and water all the horses again each night before dark. The ideal helpers will be positive, willing and with a some decent english. At our off- grid solar, wood and gravity powered homestead you can live very close to Nature and learn by helping, how to grow your own food in the big, fully caged vegie garden/ orchard and some of how to build a bush cabin (it could be a winning strategy in years to come). We are long term, committed advocates, for climate change action and we've lived with Sustainability and Creating a low "Carbon Footprint" in mind, for 40 yrs now, settling here, (inland of Taree / Port Macquarie) from scratch in 1980, on 680 acres of rocky ridge forest on the wild and steep NW edge of the Bulga Plateau, 500m above sea level (a very beautiful but challenging location)! Watch our YouTube video below, about our community and us, made by the very talented helpxer, Louie Ablett. Three of us live here now, myself 74, David 84 and Sue 64, who started as a WWOOFer and has moved here with the help of a voluntary activity agreement through Centrelink for over 55s'. Sue came in September 2019 , lost th...

Be ...

We have a mixed farm on Swanpool Creek, in Swanpool (north east Victoria) with a farmhouse on the top of a hill with views of the surrounding mountains. We have a vineyard that produces award winning wine (Chardonnay and Shiraz grapes), a eucalyptus tree plantation, a large garden (as well as a veggie garden) and a small flock of Dorper sheep, an alpaca, 3 horses and some chickens. We are looking for people that would be willing to stay for a minimum of 4 days and work about 5-6 hours a day/5 days a week in exchange for comfortable accommodation and delicious home cooked meals. The work is variable and (depending on your skills) can include things such as helping in the vineyard, gardening, farm maintenance, looking after the farm animals, carpentry, painting and cooking. Swanpool is centrally located in beautiful north east Victoria in the foothills of the Australian Alps. We would be delighted to show you the region while you are staying with us- we are near national parks, histor...

About Us We're a family of three: Seb, Juliana, and Stella (our Australian Shepherd, a rescue). We're in our thirties, living in Bentley Park, Cairns Region, about a 20 minute drive from the CBD. We keep a tidy, organised home. What We're Building We're setting up a home garden with seven IBC wicking beds, working toward a food forest across part of our property. The goal is to grow a meaningful amount of our own food, and this is the area we most want help with. If you're genuinely passionate about growing food, whether experienced or just keen to learn, this is the right place for you. What We're Looking For Priority: garden work, bed maintenance, planting, mulching, food forest development. Also: house cleaning, general chores and organisation, and meal prepping. Someone reliable, with a good sense of humour, comfortable around dogs, and interested in cultural exchange as much as the work itself. Stella can be a bit loud when she first meets someone new (she's a rescue and sti...

Located 12 minutes the pristine beach’...

We have recently returned from a 5 week trip to Canada and are looking forward to getting back to work. David will be available to help, instruct & supervise. ...The Quiet Retreat, a Lifestyle Property , located on the north East Coast of Tasmania , St Marys.

Because it’s a 30 hec property and there is always some...
