We are a group of friends who decided three years ago to restore a beautiful old village/motel in Jindabyne. We are looking for like minded individuals who are passionate about restoration/building and maintenance, love nature and have a good nature and willing to share a laugh over some good food. We have hosted people from all around the world, including all over Europe, Asia, North and South America. The motel is a 5-minute drive from local amenities such as supermarkets, shops, pubs, and a skate park. From June to September there are plenty of winter activities including skiing, tobogganing, and snowboarding at nearby ski resorts, just 30 minutes away. In summer, there are plenty of hikes, mountain biking, fishing, as well as the beach at Jindabyne Lake, Blue Lake and we are 30 minutes from the tallest mountain in Australia- Mount Koscioscko. Yarrangobilly Caves and nearby thermal pools are about one hour away. Our beautiful site features a serene river, where you can go...

We are near the Shoalwater Marine Park and Penguin Island 40mins from Perth city centre. Very close to public transport, cafes and library. Ideal for beach walking, diving, swimming, cycling, fishing, sailing and windsurfing (beach is 60 metres away). Accommodation would take form of a fully insulated cute tiny garden room with access to undercover cooking area and bathroom. IT is small so please See photos. On week days we are usually working in Perth so we cant provide meals, but a well-stocked supermarket is 200 metres away. When possible we can take turns for meals if possible. We average 2/3 hours a day painting, plumbing gardening and other repairs and can negotiate best time to do that, for example maybe it’s more convenient to do two longer days during the week.Greg is usually available to help you with your car or take you fishing, boating or sightseeing if you’re willing to free him up from his other commitments. We live on a 5 acre hobby farm in the beautiful Huon Valley, Southern Tasmania. Our family consists of three young adult children (two live at home), two horses, many chickens, ducks, geese, goats and two gorgeous dogs. We grow organic vegetables and breed heritage chickens in an attempt to be more sustainable. Jobs involve general gardening, helping with the animals and housekeeping. If you would like a Tassie small farm experience message us with some details of the work you have previously done. We have separate accommodation, with a bathroom. All our HelpXers have loved working and living with us and I hope you will too (please remember Tassie is a cold place in winter). There are many areas of natural beauty in Southern Tasmania which are all fairly close to us. For example, the Hartz mountains, Hastings Caves and the Tahune Airwalk. We live close to a sleepy village called Cygnet and Hobart is only a 40min drive away. (Unfortunately we can't approve 2nd year visas)

We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week. I am a big fan of reusing materials, things here are very rustic in many ways. I have a small orchard that I am nurturing. Accommodation is a tiny house come comfortable container overlooking the ocean. Iam a stir fry fan, so expect plenty of food with an Asian flare. I am happy to cater for vegetarians. Beautiful Sapphire Beach is 5 minutes away by bicycle.

Hi, my name is Mary. I live on the border of NSW and Victoria, a town called Albury. There is a train service to Albury from Sydney about 9 hours and Melbourne about 5 hours train trip. I am happy to pick someone from the Albury railway station. Albury is a pretty town on the Hume Highway. I am located in town, with the railway station and the airport not too far, about 15minutes drive. I am fully vaccinated and require the same of a helper. I only take Non-smokers (meaning you do not smoke at all, outside as well). Currently I am asking for 2.5hrs a day for board only. You can cook for yourselves, buy supplies locally and after cooking clean your area. I would like help with the garden and other general duties around the house, such as cleaning. If you are travelling this way, either going to Melbourne or locally and can hel...

Welcome to this very special place by the beach along the East Coast in Tasmania. We live on just over 4 acres of land and are starting to create a garden and plant more native trees on the land. We are also building a labyrinth. Tasks on the land include gardening, wood stacking, tree planting and helping with the creation on our labyrinth. We especially welcome people with an interest in community living. We are part of an online community, see my website link below, which includes a vision of lived community with values of nonviolence and liberation for all. I am also a facilitator of the Work that Reconnects, see website link below. If you have an interest in exploring how we can live on the earth more lightly and in a regenerative way, this is the place to come and explore and have those conversations. Please read our profile carefully, and see our website and instagram. If you feel you are the right person or people for us, we look forward to receiving your application. This is a permaculture small farm on the edge of Violet Town, just 800m from the train station. The farm is well established, as most tree planting was done between 1996 and 2000, and the tree crops are well maintained and productive. Murrnong has a large established fruit and nut orchard, an olive grove, vegetable gardens, chickens, milking goats, bees, forestry for shelter and timber, and large dam for irrigation and swimming. Our house is made of timber and mud brick, and we catch our own water. I am an aquatic ecologist who has fortunately been working out of our coastal rain-forest property for 35 years. Driven by strong curiosity, I have recently been developing long-term data sets on the animal life in the forest that surrounds our home, plus on tropical marine fish that are steadily increasing in numbers under the influence of climate change at the nearby very beautiful Seal Rocks area (for details click on my website link below). We have 20 acres with 2 acres cleared and the remainder moist tall forest and rainforest. It is on the coast 3 hrs drive north of Sydney (1.5km from Smiths Lake; 30km south of Forster) See my blog link below to glimpse the accommodation, typical work and fun. We have a 180 squ m vegetable garden at times needing attention which has been enclosed to keep out our friends the wallabies (pademelons), possums, parrots and native bush turkeys. Bush regeneration is another activity as well as assisting in ecological surveys of local rivers when t...

**We have helpers staying with us right now, but will have availability again from early August**. Cath and I (Dan) live in Aeroglen, 5 minutes from the Cairns airport at the base of beautiful Mt Whitfield Conservation Park. We are about 10 minutes from the centre of Cairns CBD and 15 minutes to the northern beaches. We live in a suburban home, where we live upstairs. Downstairs we have a fully self-contained (bedrooms, bathroom, toilet, kitchen) living area. Cath is French and runs her own business working for the European luxury industry. I am a wildlife biologist. We are in our 30s, have three kids (ages 1 -10), and busy jobs - so we are looking for people to assist with tasks around the house. This includes gardening, cleaning the pool, general maintenance, painting the exterior of the house, and other odd jobs. We will often be working alongside you. We are looking for 2 or 3 (couples work well) Helpx participants at a time, ideally for 1-2 weeks, to work two (2) hours...

We live in a fun share house in Maryborough, Marry Poppins Town, with awesome meals and a big edible garden. We're Mars, the owner of the property and former owner of multiple language schools and Tracy, a former theatre/restaurant owner who's cooking the most awesome meals and looking after everyone like a mum. There're 2 adorable dogs in the family, so you must be a dog lover. Also 6 chicken and 2 ducks, so we always have fresh eggs. We need help with building and creating, and with an awesome edible garden. We're about to put 12v solar power into the rooms, also natural air-conditioning and are finishing up the spa bath in the 2nd bathroom... so there's a bit for you to learn and lots of knowledge to take home. We like to work with fun, laughter, music and love to see you letting a bit of your craziness out. Be yourself and join the family... We have had many awesome experiences with travellers so far 😃. Please note that there's a minimum of 1 week stay, we do not like to ...

This is for those of you who plan ahead. We are full until mid July, right at the start of our best fishing season and in the middle of our best weather when at least some of the time we should be cutting great timber from unwanted trees using a 26 inch/56cm bandsaw. So anyone who loves fishing, snorkelling on inshore reefs and is good at DIY or carpentry and loves the simple, quiet, rural life by the beach, next to the rainforest, this is for you 🤗. We appreciate help with DIY construction, repairs and maintenance, timber work, boat work, metal work repairs to trailers and for help with gardening, housekeeing, cooking, duck and chicken rearing and dog walking on the beach. Fishing, snorkelling, and rainforest walks can help occupy your spare time. We are looking for reasonably good DIY handymen and women, capable of working effectively, when necessary, on your own or as a pair and, ideally, someone who also has some gardening experience, but that is not really necessary, learn o...

Hello, I’m David! I have sold my coffee shop after 45 years in the hospitality trade, where travelling workers would once work, however I STILL offer helpers the same excellent own room lodging as homestay & great food in exchange for a little light work and some social contact. I live close the train station and bus stop and am a 30 min trip by train to Melbourne City. There is a vehicle to drive locally if are appropriately licensed. You are welcome to use it. I go to the outback in western New South Wales about 3 times a year for the purpose of experiencing the beautiful "timeless land" of Australia and to legally hunt feral animals which endanger our wildlife. I often take workers to the outback so they can have a taste of the real Australia and I can assure that none of the numerous helpers/woofers I have taken over a many year period did not thoroughly enjoy it. . However the choice is theirs whether they accompany myself or whether they stay and "mind the house" I also oft...

If you would like a homely, wondrous Blue Mountains experience, nestled in nature, without being surrounded by tourists, you’re welcome to stay with us. You will relax and unwind here, sit in front of the fire in the evenings, drink tea, go on bushwalks, watch the alpacas, and share stories. Then wake to amazing sunrises! Especially quiet for those that have just come from a Vipassana meditation retreat. If you're a rock climber, you can walk to crags at Shipley and Centennial Glen. We have two alpacas, some chickens, and two indoor cats. We live in a new house on a two acres, next to the Blue Mountains National Park. Amazing bushwalks begin at our home. Walk to Govetts Leap waterfall, Evans Lookout, the Grand Canyon, and Blue Gum Forest. We need ENERGETIC help in the yard, mainly splitting firewood. There are lots of small jobs, all requiring good strong MUSCLES. We also need help with BUSH REGENERATION because there are weeds that have invaded the rare and endangered hanging s...

I seek mature travellers who are travelling around the South West in their own Camper Van or Car with tent etc. Traveller/helpers need to be self contained but I provide access to clean toilet and shower facilities. I have some really nice set up camp sites here - the sites are private, clean, safe and located in beautiful natural bushland settings. If you would like to come, stay and help me here, please send me a message ! I can usually help traveller/helpers locate many other things.., like possible work services, free food services and access to various beaches etc. I like to show people how they can live on the land sustainably, how they can build their own sustainable homes and grow their own food...., using what is around them, to adapt to their environment and adopt permaculture principals to suit their own needs. I have lived on my own little permaculture farm beside the Leeuwin/Naturaliste National Park forest since 1982. I have built my own home using local granite s...

Hi beautiful people! I’m Christine, a happy spirited former language and arts teacher working across two continents. Since I retired I work in the natural health field. I live on an urban block called The Roo‘s Pouch, where I maintain a sustainable vegetable garden and created a community of nice people living with me. I live in one of the buildings on this sunny property which runs on rainwater harvesting. We avoid chlorine and contaminates by filtering, harmonizing, and energizing our own water though Ionisation. Water conservation is part of life for me. You can come to Maryborough via plane, bus or train. The Hervey Bay Airport is only 30min from my home. There are meanwhile several bus companies to choose from. If you use the train please book Maryborough town from the drop down menu. The shuttle bus from the train station in Maryborough west (20 min out of town) is free of charge if it is pre-booked. My farm, located near Kaniva, is a commercial agricultural enterprise in the Wimmera region of western Victoria (midway between Melbourne and Adelaide). It has been owned by my family for more than 130 years. In 2006 I purchased the major portion of the productive land from the family Estate, and now annually crops nearly 425ha to spring wheat, barley, oats, field beans and canola. I am fully responsible for the management and on-going development of the farm, with a "share-farmer" undertaking many of the farm labour components. I do not have enough work to keep you busy long-term, but I certainly have enough for 3-5 days. The deal I am offering is that you help me with general farm chores (e.g. burning up heaps of branches, some fencing repairs, cleaning up branches under trees, caring for my lawns and garden, cutting up firewood, planting farm trees, etc) and I provide free meals and accommodation and a modest hourly payment. Depending on the day/weather we would work for 4-5 ho...

Our preference is for a single person or couple who have some skil...

The property overlooks the ocean. Accommodation is separate to the house. It is a relaxing place with mostly odd jobs to do.

It is inland on the Murray River and there are a lot of local attractions, vineyards, historical small towns, snow fields and many more, only a few hours drive.

We are just starting on this journey on this land and are experimenting in what supports choice, togetherness and flow as an antidote to scarcity, separation and powerlessnes...

Most of our food comes from the house garden and farm, including a huge range of fresh fruit all year round, a range of vegetables for each season, honey, cheese, olive oil, table olives, and home killed or hunted meat.
