Our wonderful helpers from Argentina & France are about to move on this Sunday (31 May) to a winter job in the snowfields. They loved it here, so we are now seeking some new helpers as there is still plenty to do in the garden over winter. ENJOY THE FREEDOM & BEAUTY OF SOUTH GIPPSLAND. Property is a botanic garden of Australian native plants, many rare or endangered, plus an acre of plants for cut flowers, mainly proteas, banksias and tea trees. Lots of wildlife. We need help with weeding, mowing, mulching, planting and general clean up as the property is too big for the two of us to maintain. Accommodation is very comfortable, private, with fully set up kitchen in a studio style cottage with a queen size bed and smart TV. Recently installed a new electric oven with airfry function. Has split system heating and cooling. It is separate from the main house. It was a very popular AirBnB destination but we have decided not to do it anymore as it is too much extra work. The property is rura...

This is a small farming property ten minutes drive or around 30mins bike ride from the coastal town of Esperance. There is a comfortable sleep-out available or a room in the main house. The adjacent bush and wetlands provide kangaroos and birdlife for the nature lovers. Helpers may enjoy feeding the sheep and cows or other farm related tasks and there is always firewood to split for the wood stove. The 4 alpacas enjoy some attention too. Expect an international flavour as current occupants include travellers from Argentina, Italy China and New Zealand. It is important to understand that there is no public transport into Esperance, any visitors will need their own transport.

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . Our small farm (https://little-farm.com.au) sits in Northern Victoria, where we grow fruit and vegetables, plant trees, and learn as we go. Tim, a retired engineer, is always building or fixing something. Beth is a teacher and health practitioner who also teaches at university. She tends a rose garden of over 400 fragrant bushes. Early mornings here smell incredible. The property includes an organic vegetable garden, orchard, berries, herbs, and a music room with a baby grand piano. If you play, bring your instrument. We’re close to the Murray River. Big skies, glowing sunrises and sunsets, and rich birdlife surround us. Magpies are part of daily life here, in sound and in art across the farm. Nights are clear and full of stars. Many people arrive tired and leave feeling genuinely restored. What we’re looking for Willing, reliable help Someone who takes initiative and keeps shared spaces tidy A careful learner who asks when unsure You’ll be guided at first, then work more indepen...

The closest train station is Beenleigh. Your own car is a plus. We welcome working holiday visa holders with good horse experience and most importantly a passion for horses !! In order to learn your daily task, routine and horses personalities, we will ask you to stay a minimum of 3 weeks. Long stays are really welcome. This is for those of you who plan ahead. We are full until mid July, right at the start of our best fishing season and in the middle of our best weather when at least some of the time we should be cutting great timber from unwanted trees using a 26 inch/56cm bandsaw. So anyone who loves fishing, snorkelling on inshore reefs and is good at DIY or carpentry and loves the simple, quiet, rural life by the beach, next to the rainforest, this is for you 🤗. We appreciate help with DIY construction, repairs and maintenance, timber work, boat work, metal work repairs to trailers and for help with gardening, housekeeing, cooking, duck and chicken rearing and dog walking on the beach. Fishing, snorkelling, and rainforest walks can help occupy your spare time. We are looking for reasonably good DIY handymen and women, capable of working effectively, when necessary, on your own or as a pair and, ideally, someone who also has some gardening experience, but that is not really necessary, learn o...

We’ve recently built a wonderfully energy efficient passive solar house, complete with off-grid solar for all our energy needs, rain water collection for all our water needs, and a worm farm waste management system for natural black and grey water processing. We’ve put a lot of work in to achieve a fossil-fuel-free, all-electric, household, with as small an environmental footprint as possible. We’re also lucky to live in a beautiful rural/coastal area near Inverloch, Victoria, approximately 1 hour 45 minutes south-east of Melbourne. We are close to some of Victoria’s most famous wildlife and wilderness attractions, including the Penguin Parade at Phillip Island, the Koala Conservation Reserve, and hiking and camping at Wilson’s Promontory (not to mention numerous local beaches and fishing spots only 10 minutes away!). With our house complete, we’re now working to progress the landscaping aspects of our project. We’d be very appreciative of a helping hand or two to help complete: a na...

Welcome to our small family run Bed and Breakfast in the beautiful town of Denmark, in the south of Western Australia. Surrounded by magnificent trees and the beaches of the southern Ocean, there are many things to do, especially bushwalking, surfing and snorkelling. The town is 5km away, the nearest beach 2km. As all our three children have left and live their own lives elsewhere, it is just me, Anna, my husband Matt and our beautiful old dog Anuschka living here. We are from Germany originally and have been here for the past 26 years. We have always open doors and have hosted many backpackers over the years. You will be sleeping in our caravan in the garden which has its own undercover deck in front and a double bed. You will be having your meals with us in our comfy kitchen. We require help with maintenance around the house and garden. We love to try out food prepared by you, if you like.

This is very much a cultural exchange (for us and for you) as you will be in our family home sharing our lifestyle. NO SMOKERS OR VEGETARIANS PLEASE. We prefer our helpers to stay 2 weeks or more. Work outside is a major part of what we do so expect to be outside on a rural property as part of the experience. Please message us through this platform to allow us to view your profile The property is located 60km South of Brisbane and 20km West of the Gold Coast on the upper North slope of Mt Tamborine, 320m above sea level. We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week. Our preference is for a single person or couple who have some skil...

Hi Everyone We are a Mixed farming enterprise. We have Cattle and seasonal cropping. We have 2 resident working dogs and plenty of horses. The home and accommodation are on the Beach front in a small coastal town. The beach front home is only 100mts to the ocean so great for all beach activities out the front gate. There is Separate accommodation to main house with amenities. Work will involve travelling to the properties to help inspect livestock waters and wellbeing. Other jobs include feeding stock, gardening, shifting hay, loading hay so being able to drive a tractor is an advantage but not essential.. These work times are usually a short period and not every day. So there will be several days where you will be able to do your own thing . There are numerous scenic and tourist destinations close by. Robe, Mt Gambier, Blue Lake, Naracoorte caves just to name a few. Accommodation is a Modern furnished separate building to the main house allowing your own privacy. It has its o...

We live in a fun share house in Maryborough, Marry Poppins Town, with awesome meals and a big edible garden. We're Mars, the owner of the property and Tracy, a former theatre/restaurant owner who's cooking the most awesome meals and looking after everyone like a mum. There're 2 adorable dogs in the family, so you must be a dog lover. Also 6 chicken and 2 ducks, so we always have fresh eggs. We need help with building and creating, and with an awesome but overgrown edible garden. We're about to put 12v solar power into the rooms, also natural air-conditioning and are finishing up the spa bath in the 2nd bathroom... so there's a bit for you to learn and lots of knowledge to take home. We like to work with fun and laughter and love to see you letting a bit of your craziness out. Be yourself and join the family... We have had awesome experiences with travellers so far 😃. Please note that there's a minimum of 1 week stay, we do not like to be used as a pit stop. There's no maximum s...

Hi! This is a large riverside property about 12 minutes drive from Cairns city. The property has a swimming pool and beautiful views over the Barron River and to the mountains. There are horse paddocks and a few animals (horses, cats, dog, chickens, ducks) on the property, as well as plenty of wildlife to see. The main tasks for helpers are cleaning & tidying of the house, gardening (lots!), pool maintenance, feeding animals, helping with food preparation/cooking and (if you happen to be a bit of an artist) there are a couple of painting jobs to be done as well. There is a bus stop nearby so you can easily access public transport. The family is just myself and my three young children (aged 2, 4 and 6) when they are not at their mother's house. We often go on family excursions where you are welcome to come along and we would love to show you the area. To be comfortable here, you must not have a fear of frogs, insects, geckos, spiders and other similar wildlife, as we very much live alo...

Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . hello, looking for some people, preferably longer than shorter term but open if you have some specific light maintenance skills. some of the helpx stay for long periods, even 6 months to 2 years, one of them. right now we are looking for people. need some chill, reliable people to help maintain the patios outside and keep the back weed free and neat and basic small wood repair.. the place offers lots of flexibility of time. always a couple other helpx from around to exchange with. its very easy to learn things that need to be done. we require 15 hrs a week . you can help 5 days 3 hrs a day or you can help longer some days and take off some days to go to the beach. can also do shorter days shorter hours per day but then you do more days . ca switch with other helpx and then take a couple days off , but we must always agree to the exchange so it works for everyone. it usually does. we do have pools near around the neighborhood and we have always some wooden floo...

This is a Standardbred Race Horse (Harness Racing) farm at the foot of Tamborine Mountain. Located 45 minutes from Brisbane in the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland. Your role on the farm would be helping with the daily care of our racehorses. It's an everyday job starting depending of the sun (4.30am in summer and later on winter time). We start each morning training the horses, washing them and feeding them. All the retired horses need to be feed and watered as well. We need to feed and water all the horses again each night before dark. The ideal helpers will be positive, willing and with a some decent english.

I live in a Log cabin on one acre a short walk from the beach. It is a small town surrounded by beaches and at the start of the great barrier reef. There are 23 islands within 30 minutes boat ride. My cabin is large with a chilled atmosphere, heaps of music, a camp fire area and a bar outside as well as inside. Painting, general gardening, tree planting and housework is mostly required. Accommodation is in a comfortably caravan with double bed.. Our life style is pretty chilled which includes travel, bbq's, music, kitesurfing and fishing. Depending on what help I need,I would expect 3-4 hours per day for 3-4 days per week. I will provide breakfast, tea and coffee and help show you around this awesome part of Australia.

So far we have welcomed backpackers from most parts of the world, Germany, France, Norway, Sweden, USA, Japan, Ireland, England, Denmark and many more, you must like dogs and nature with swimming in summer and open fires in winter to relax.
