PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON Need help.with a garden clean up.at the moment. You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one rough headed ,skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town, which is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay. Two hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around. There is a mountain on my farm with lots...

In fact we really like longer stays.....Accom is in a self contained caravan near the house, with all food supplied and sharing some meals with the family, in return for working each morning with us..

...The Quiet Retreat, a Lifestyle Property , located on the north East Coast of Tasmania , St Marys. ...!! With only the help of real hard working wwoofer's/ HelpX'ers , I started to build the house and clear the land here 26 years ago, so this place is a BIG BIG credit to all my helpers who worked hard, enjoyed their stay and left their footprint..! As I am now in my late winter years , instead of my helpers assisting me , I assist my helpers LOL , usually in the morning and than we try to cook a meal . I feel that for the helpers who come here, maybe, apart from the usual work, self improvement/development could be one of their priorities... a good library of books is available and some very nice music...and of course "grumpy" me and please understand that I am not a good cook, so help there is esp. welcome, vegetarian only. In the past I practiced meditation/looked at Zen/Osho/Vipassana etc, I love music and most of the time there is music in the house. This is a Privat...

We live on 2 acres of bush with ocean views, seven km from the centre of Airlie Beach. We are close to a local bus stop so a car and license is not essential. We are a family of four (kids aged 8 and 10) with ten free range chickens, one rooster and lots of fruit trees and a vegetable garden. We are looking for a friendly, reliable individual or couple to join our family and assist with household tasks in exchange for accommodation and food (four hours of daily duties). Hi. We'd love the open our home up to some travellers and provide accommodation for some help around the house for a week. This is a two person job and the tasks included would be mainly a garden clean-up, but also some other bits and pieces such as oiling wood fences. Unfortunately, we do not have time to cook meals very often though are happy to provide the occasional meal when we have time. We're flexible with the dates. The Airbnb is available up until April 24th, so anytime before then. We live 3km from the city centre in a lovely area within walking distance of the Botanic Gardens, a public pool, an arts centre, hiking tracks, cafes, and restaurants. We have an Airbnb downstairs that you'd be staying in that you can view via our website link below.

I live between a yacht on Sydney Harbour and a house in a tall eucalyptus forest on the mid north coast of NSW, and need some assistance in working on the house and on another yacht. I'm a carpenter who worked with National Parks and Wildlife for 25 years before retiring, and live with a small dog Billy. I've had many helpers come stay over the last few years and have been lucky to have so many interesting travellers stay. My yacht, is currently on the hard at Whoota, where we are renovating her while helping with work on her. I often take helpers out sailing to see the magnificent Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House but this is not possible while she is being worked on. Yet, I hope to invite helpers out when she is back in the water. The house is located in Whoota, near Forster. It is surrounded by forest and located a 10 minute drive from pristine beaches, lakes, and bushwalks. There a lots of dolphins to see and beautiful areas to explore. The work we are doing on the house ...

We are a family of five living a self reliant lifestyle, on a small isolated block. We produce our own food, including goat's yoghurt & cheese, wild or raised meats, eggs, fruit and veggies from our established gardens. We have no income from our property as we are always wanting to become more self-sufficient, so guests must be self motivated and hard working, and be able to contribute skills. We do not allow the use of chemicals (shampoo, sunscreen deodorants etc...) as our grey-water goes directly onto the food gardens, but we do supply our own home made organic soaps and creams. Our aim is to create a co-operative living space, so opportunities arise for short and long term or permanent stay. We have three children who we homeschool using natural learning methods. Travellers with children are very welcome. Please visit our website via link below. We are randomly online and prefer telephone contact to make arrangements.

My partner (Drew) and I (Maia) would love some help here at our lovely home on 3 acres, on the beautiful Atherton Tablelands in Queensland (popular for its incredible climate, nature, waterfalls, swimming holes, lakes, tourist attractions, etc.) We are delighted that many wallabies live here too. 😍 Our average age is 63 (young at heart!) We have accumulated knowledge and wisdom that we are happy to share. Drew is a wonderful gardener and handyman. He's recently had surgery and is on light duties, so there are lots of things to get on with. He is very practical and his talents are creative and diverse, like designing and building things, solar know-how and ingenious solutions to assorted challenges. My skills are both practical and creative - interior decorating, coaching and mentoring, music and therapeutic sound, photography, writing and creative problem-solving. Our modern home is architecturally designed. While helpers sometimes have their own van, we mostly have helpers here ...

Hi beautiful people! I’m Christine, a happy spirited former language and arts teacher working across two continents. Since I retired I work in the natural health field. I live on an urban block called The Roo‘s Pouch, where I maintain a sustainable vegetable garden and created a community of nice people living with me. I live in one of the three buildings on this sunny property which runs on rainwater harvesting. We avoid chlorine and contaminates by filtering, harmonizing and ionizing our water. So water conservation is part of life for me. The corner block is in a suburb of Maryborough. There are 3 beautiful public parks surrounding with lots of kangaroos hopping peacefully around, near to the Mary River. The historic city of Maryborough has a lot to offer and is the home town of Mary Poppins. We are only 30 min by car from the ocean in Hervey Bay with wale watching when in season. Hervey Bay is at the doorsteps of Fraser Island/K’Gari. I offer for single or couple a bedroom wit...

I am an aquatic ecologist who has fortunately been working out of our coastal rain-forest property for 35 years. Driven by strong curiosity, I have recently been developing long-term data sets on the animal life in the forest that surrounds our home, plus on tropical marine fish that are steadily increasing in numbers under the influence of climate change at the nearby very beautiful Seal Rocks area (for details click on my website link below). We have 20 acres with 2 acres cleared and the remainder moist tall forest and rainforest. It is on the coast 3 hrs drive north of Sydney (1.5km from Smiths Lake; 30km south of Forster) See my blog link below to glimpse the accommodation, typical work and fun. We have a 180 squ m vegetable garden at times needing attention which has been enclosed to keep out our friends the wallabies (pademelons), possums, parrots and native bush turkeys. Bush regeneration is another activity as well as assisting in ecological surveys of local rivers when t...

I am seeking mature travellers who are travelling around the South West in their own Camper Van or Car with tent etc. Traveller/helpers need to be self contained but I provide access to clean toilet and shower facilities. I have some really nice set up camp sites here - the sites are private, clean, safe and located in beautiful natural bushland settings. If you would like to come, stay and help me here, please send me a message ! I can usually help traveller/helpers locate many other things.., like possible work services, free food services and access to various beaches etc. I like to show people how they can live on the land sustainably, how they can build their own sustainable homes and grow their own food...., using what is around them, to adapt to their environment and adopt permaculture principals to suit their own needs. Greetings from Nulu, we are a small young family in search of some helping hands. We grow organic fruit and herbs in our yard and have a rainwater tank. Papayas, bananas, passion fruits and pineapple are all growing well so far. Our house is a little bit of a sanctuary for travelers and we enjoy the company of friends often. We can offer you a room to yourself and some meals for a single or couple in exchange for 2 hours help each day excluding weekends. Help can include gardening, house upkeep, cleaning, food preparation, playing with our 2 young sons or playing with the two dogs. We love music and fruit, weaving and creating and spend lots of time at the local creeks. We are working towards living more sustainably and eventually wish to be a part of a community living together on the land.

We are listed on HELPX because backpackers / travellers contacted us really wanting to do our camel treks but couldn't afford to pay for the experience. These travellers would tell us about helpx and encouraged us to list as hosts. Since 2015 we have hosted people from all over the world and it has been for the most part highly enjoyable. Our profile reflects our commitment to be as clear as possible about what we are offering, and what we expect. Unlike many other experiences you can choose whilst in Australia, being part of a camel trekking company is a once in a lifetime opportunity. You get what the paying guests come to experience, but more because you are allowed behind the scenes and have the chance to really get to know the camels. We accept more helpxer than most hosts so that tasks can be spread amongst numerous helping hands. As we are out on treks it's not possible to take time-out, we are travelling and on the move, however your time with us will be rewarding and satisfyi...

...The Quiet Retreat, a Lifestyle Property , located on the north East Coast of Tasmania , St Marys.
