i have been on couchsurfing network for years hosting many people.. and i think this HelpX network is a great idea. Actually i prefer it now. I am flexible with my time (especially during the week days) and love to hang out and make new friends.. In the summer I travel around Victoria and Australia a lot, going on road trips with friends and many music festivals -camping in the bush etc.. I am into music (composing/playing); Alternative health / medicine ; Electronics / Engineering / technology ; Anything weird wacky unusual unexplained strange secret, and business combining most of the above, ;) .. The world is full of amazing things and possibilities and Life can never be dull for the seeker with an open mind. I am very passionate about hidden truths and wisdom and always keen to learn and share (if called for) I do not drink or smoke and i like vegetarian food but i m pretty flexible.. During the warmer months me and my crew travel to various outdoor music festivals around Aust...

We live in a beautiful part of the world between the beach and Margaret River town. We live on a farm with multi- generational families, we work towards a lot of self sufficiency and we work off the farm also. Our interests include music and wellbeing. The Margaret River community is vibrant and has many activities on offer. Our family welcomes cross-cultural experience. We like our Helpxers to be happy; we offer clean, comfortable, private caravan accommodation. Tasks are dependent on helpxer skills, farm, family and home requirements (such as whipper snipping, gardening, wood splitting, domestic tasks, artistic skills and painting). Having a car is necessary as there is no public transport. We ask for 1 hour work a day (couple) and 1.5 hours work a day (single) which means that helpxers can get work off the farm, if you like. Kind regards :) Sabine, Tony and Family

Love to host a strong guy or 2, or a couple that have some gardening/farming experience or has carpentry to replace some trim and architraves or welding skills (projects include welding some pipe/RHS to make a few spinning shooting targets and maybe construct a beer keg smoker...and of course a bit of a spin for some snorkelling and fishing around the islands and reefs in the boats... Volunteers can use their time here to sign off for 7 days a week towards their 88 days 2nd or 3rd year visa sign off and we have helped many backpackers secure a second/third year visa as we are registered primary producers in the correct postcode for "disaster relief". Please make sure you let us know you are looking to get your visa days signed off so we can provide appropriate work from the cyclone recovery list...also be sure to answer the questions at the end of this description in your initial email to us... Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . Located 12 minutes the pristine beach’...

After 16 years, and hosting almost 100 HelpXers, at our property in Larnook, in the Northern Rivers region, Steve and I have moved to a new place in Tenterfield, at the northern end of the New England Tableland. All of our reviews up until September 2024, are related to our previous place. We are now ready to accept HelpXers at our new place. Steve and I are a gay couple and we offer a high quality experience (as you can see from our reviews) and so we expect our Helpers to pitch in and help. The more you put into your time here at Tenterfield, the more you will get out of it. We have lots of small work jobs at present including lots of weeding and gardening, mowing, establishing herb and vege gardens, pruning and cutting back and some other work. Our property is situated a few kilometers west of the town of Tenterfield, in a quiet, rural area. We usually expect around 4 hours per day of work in exchange for all meals, your own room, access to internet (for checking emails, looki...

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON Not much work to do here now, so I mostly only take 1 person at a time. Not the place just to get a free room.for a while, but also not the place if you get bored easily You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town, which is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay. Two hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Rang...

I have a house with a 0.25ha garden that is part of a larger community . We are about 10 mins drive, or an easy hitch, from Byron Bay (and all its tourist attractions); Brunswick or Mullumbimby and 2 mins from the beach. I`m always glad of help with my 1/4 ha - projects like building the vegie garden; trimming back the ever enroaching bush, or projects around the house. The arrangement is 2 hours in exchange for accommodation (14 hours a week), looking after your own food but sharing our kitchen. Gondwana, the larger community that Lotus Ponds is part of, is about 50 people with a community house and hall with weekly community dinner and meditations, yoga, table tennis & pool tables with levels of activity that depend on who is here. The people living here change more often than I update this ! But typically are inspired by some combination of Dance (5Rhythms, Open-Floor, Contact); Permaculture; Surfing; Osho; Personal Growth; Cooking; Music and Nature; in the rest of Gondwana ...

This is a Standardbred Race Horse (Harness Racing) farm at the foot of Tamborine Mountain. Located 45 minutes from Brisbane in the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland. The closest train station is Beenleigh. Your own car is a plus. We welcome working holiday visa holders with good horse experience and most importantly a passion for horses !! In order to learn your daily task, routine and horses personalities, we will ask you to stay a minimum of 3 weeks. Long stays are really welcome. Your role on the farm would be helping with the daily care of our racehorses. It's an everyday job starting depending of the sun (4.30am in summer and later on winter time). We start each morning training the horses, washing them and feeding them. All the retired horses need to be feed and watered as well. We need to feed and water all the horses again each night before dark. The ideal helpers will be positive, willing and with a some decent english. Because it’s a 30 hec property and there is always some...

I am seeking mature travellers who are travelling around the South West in their own Camper Van or Car with tent etc. Traveller/helpers need to be self contained but I provide access to clean toilet and shower facilities. I have some really nice set up camp sites here - the sites are private, clean, safe and located in beautiful natural bushland settings. If you would like to come, stay and help me here, please send me a message ! I can usually help traveller/helpers locate many other things.., like possible work services, free food services and access to various beaches etc. I like to show people how they can live on the land sustainably, how they can build their own sustainable homes and grow their own food...., using what is around them, to adapt to their environment and adopt permaculture principals to suit their own needs. I have lived on my own little permaculture farm beside the Leeuwin/Naturaliste National Park forest since 1982. I have built my own home using local gra...

We need help keeping our 2.5 acres property under control. We have a fruit orchard and vegetable garden as well as flower gardens that constantly need weeding and pruning. We would be more favourable to accepting helpers who can use garden equipment eg hedgers, whipper snippers, hand mowers and ride on mowers. You would have your own room with king bed and bathroom. Your own car would be advisable however there is a Trans Link bus service close to our house and on occasion we can drop you at local shopping centre (Carindale) to get the bus. We require 5 hrs per day for 5 days then 2 days off. All food will be provided but you will prepare your own breakfast and lunch. We do not accommodate fussy eaters including vegan or gluten intolerant. We provide meals with meat and fish. We are helpful and look forward to having you stay with us.

We own 40 acre property along the famous Great Ocean Road, 15 minutes drive from the famous 12 apostles, and on the outskirts of the beautiful Otway Ranges Nation Park. Our Wildlife Park is a privately run business we’ve been building for 15 years, with our biggest growth happening just in the last two. We transformed the land into an open-space park with a sanctuary area, fields and gardens, built largely by our own hands. Our park is home to a variety of Australian Wildlife including some herd and farm animals. Kind of help needed: We have a range of projects and activities needed to be managed from animal caretaking, general park maintenance, gardening and building projects to enhance and make our park welcoming for both our animals and guests. Work delegated would depend on your skills and previous experiences. We are looking for proactive, resilient and communal spirits who actively look for ways to help, whether that’s fixing a fence, organizing a shed or simply cooking a meal...

Hello travellers! We’ve recently built a wonderfully energy efficient passive solar house, complete with off-grid solar for all our energy needs, rain water collection for all our water needs, and a worm farm waste management system for natural black and grey water processing. We’ve put a lot of work in to achieve a fossil-fuel-free, all-electric, household, with as small an environmental footprint as possible. We’re also lucky to live in a beautiful rural/coastal area near Inverloch, Victoria, approximately 1 hour 45 minutes south-east of Melbourne. We are close to some of Victoria’s most famous wildlife and wilderness attractions, including the Penguin Parade at Phillip Island, the Koala Conservation Reserve, and hiking and camping at Wilson’s Promontory (not to mention numerous local beaches and fishing spots only 10 minutes away!). With our house complete, we’re now working to progress the landscaping aspects of our project. We’d be very appreciative of a helping hand or two to ...

*** Available from 7th May 2026 *** *** Just a quick visa heads-up!... Immigration rules have tightened a bit lately — sometimes even helping out in exchange for a place to stay can be seen as “work,” which might technically need a visa that allows it. Most guests have never had a problem, but it’s smart to check the latest rules and think about how you describe your plans at the border. Just something to keep in mind! *** We are a small family - two parents and a 10 year old boy. We also have a couple of very friendly cats and some fish. Our place is 5 minutes walk from the centre of Fremantle, 7 minutes cycle to South Beach and close to all amenities. Fremantle is a great transportation hub and has an amazing live music, cafe and arts scene. Our house is 110 years old with high ceilings and a chilled out vibe in a friendly street close to Wray Ave. We are enthusiastic vergeside collectors who try to salvage things from other people's rubbish before it reaches landfill and to r...

We are a family of four offering a comfortable, self‑contained one‑bedroom unit to travellers in exchange for help with our garden, which we are gradually revegetating. Our children are 1 and 4 years old, so we welcome guests who enjoy being around little ones and who can be mindful of keeping noise low during nap times and evenings. Our accommodation is well suited to solo travellers, couples, or friends travelling together who are happy sharing a peaceful, family‑oriented environment. Our home is located in a quiet neighbourhood just 4 km from the Launceston CBD. There is a bus stop close by, and a local supermarket is only a five‑minute walk away. Just across the road from our home is Queechy Lake, a peaceful natural space that is especially appealing to birdwatchers and nature lovers. These wetlands attract a diverse range of local birdlife, making them a lovely spot for early‑morning walks, photography, or quiet relaxation. We are also within easy walking distance of Old Macs Fa...

I live between a yacht on Sydney Harbour and a house in a tall eucalyptus forest on the mid north coast of NSW, and need some assistance in working on the house and on another yacht.  I'm a carpenter who worked with National Parks and Wildlife for 25 years before retiring, and live with a small dog Billy. I've had many helpers come stay over the last few years and have been lucky to have so many interesting travellers stay.  My yacht, is currently on the hard at Whoota, where we are renovating her while helping with work on her. I often take helpers out sailing to see the magnificent Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House but this is not possible while she is being worked on. Yet, I hope to invite helpers out when she is back in the water. The house is located in Whoota, near Forster. It is surrounded by forest and located a 10 minute drive from pristine beaches, lakes, and bushwalks. There a lots of dolphins to see and beautiful areas to explore. The work we are doing on the house ...

CLEANING, COOKING, GARDENING, PLAYING MUSIC, are all things that I appreciate assistance with. Hi, I live in Bundaberg city 5km from the post office, and enjoy having travellers stay here in return for help around the house and yard, gardening, mowing, housekeeping/cleaning, general maintenance, etc. on my 1000 square meter block. If you have special skills tell me or if cooking is your thing then you would be especially welcome. I love all kinds of ethnic food and can be flexible as to work and leisure hours. Please message me via helpx in advance, so that I may read your completed, up to date, detailed profile. Generally, I like to have guests for two or three weeks but longer stays are also possible. Solo or couples are very welcome. Unfortunately I cannot sign for 2nd year visa. Accommodation is in spare bedroom, also includes washing, use of bicycles, and other perks in return for 2 hours per day help. Helpers are to provide or share food costs. My house is a “TV Free Zone”, but...

We are a group of friends who decided three years ago to restore a beautiful old village/motel in Jindabyne. We are looking for like minded individuals who are passionate about restoration/building and maintenance, love nature and have a good nature and willing to share a laugh over some good food. We have hosted people from all around the world, including all over Europe, Asia, North and South America. The motel is a 5-minute drive from local amenities such as supermarkets, shops, pubs, and a skate park. From June to September there are plenty of winter activities including skiing, tobogganing, and snowboarding at nearby ski resorts, just 30 minutes away. In summer, there are plenty of hikes, mountain biking, fishing, as well as the beach at Jindabyne Lake, Blue Lake and we are 30 minutes from the tallest mountain in Australia- Mount Koscioscko. Yarrangobilly Caves and nearby thermal pools are about one hour away. Our beautiful site features a serene river, where you can go...
