We hope you can join us. Currently looking for keen and energetic people who can join us in making our piece of Paradise even better while you have a memorable lifetime experience that will enrich your life. We love sharing who we are and what we have to inspire others to thrive on the land while working with and amongst nature. We want to show you how to be comfortable in nature; to re-learn how to be a part of nature rather than apart from nature. We have two rooms exclusively for HelpX guests; one room with a double bed, the other with a bunk bed. You have your own bathroom and toilet. We also have our delightful Avan; a compact caravan that has a double bed and a single bed for those who want to live more out amongst nature. We warmly welcome volunteers to our peaceful 20-acre property, just 45 minutes south of Perth CBD. As a professional couple who love our land and the animals we share it with – including four horses, three ponies, an Angus steer, two dogs, a cat, and ten chickens – we’re excited to offer a unique and rewarding stay to the right helpers. You’ll have your own comfortable room with a queen-size bed, unlimited fast WiFi, and all meals provided – breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In exchange, we ask for 4 hours of help per day, 5 days a week. The work is physical and hands-on, including property maintenance and land regeneration. A good level of fitness and practical skills in manual labour are essential. Experience in areas like carpentry, mechanics, or farm/horse work is strongly preferred – this is not a role suited to those without hands-on experience or a willingness to work hard outdoors. Please note: Housekeeping and cooking are not part of the role. We enjoy hosting open-minded guest...

Hello travellers..., This "very special location" because it's very close to Hamelin Bay and right beside a tall forest National Park. All the usual native animals are free to roam over this land. Kangaroo, Emu, Possum, reptile and so many birds are in abundance on this land. I'm a carpenter who worked with National Parks and Wildlife for 25 years before retiring, and live with a small dog Billy. Yet, I hope to invite helpers out when she is back in the water, The house is located in Whoota, near Forster. It is surrounded by forest and located a 10 minute drive from pristine beaches, lakes, and bushwalks. There a lots of dolphins to see and beautiful areas to explore. Situated on the edge of the Great Divide, we are surrounded by great views, Kangaroos, Wombats, Echidna and numerous bird species including wedge tail eagles, Rosella's and Kookaburras. Just an hour from Melbourne [less from the airport] we can arrange pick up. Our farm has Highland Cattle, Chooks and a large Vegie garden/orchard. While we have no urgent work requirements and the farm is only our hobby [we are semi retired ] there is always something to do, however we have no paid employment available and cannot add points for visa extension. We have a spare room with double bed or we can accommodate 2 x singles as well. The nearest public transport is 15 minute drive and we can drop people of most days as we go past the station nearly every day. Our current projects are house painting, wood cutting and gardening.

The cottage is being creatively renovated to display its history and highlight modern, country, lifestyle. The grounds are destined to be turned into organic food gardens and a native species garden. We are 10 minutes from Byron and we can see the famous Byron lighthouse from our front balcony. We enjoy the company of young people from other cultures and we have already learned a lot from hosting some amazing helpers who have become long term friends. We also need help in managing a 6000 sq meter block with a garden that needs a lot of work and quite a big house that needs cleaning. Our house has views and a pool and spa as well as a media room, all of which, we share with you. If you are over 25, we may be able to lend you a small Toyota Yaris which is registered for free Byron Bay parking. You can use it for short trips into Byron and you will need to work out how to share petrol costs with other helpers. Unfortunately, our insurance does not cover younger drivers and without a car, you may find us too isolated as there is no public transport. Ideal for beach walking, diving, swimming, cycling, fishing, sailing and windsurfing (beach is 60 metres away). Accommodation would take form of a fully insulated cute tiny garden room with access to undercover cooking area and bathroom. IT is small so please See photos. On week days we are usually working it Perth so we cant provide meals, but a well-stocked supermarket is 200 metres away. We average 2/3 hours a day from Monday to Friday, painting, plumbing gardening and other repairs and can negotiate best time to do that, for example maybe it’s more convenient to do two longer days during the week. Free coffee, tea and a simple breakfast (i.e. Cereal, toast) usually available. When you email please let us know when you plan to get to Perth and how you are travelling (flying in, driving or bus etc.). If you are already in Perth, where you are s...

🏡 Stay in a Unique Wildlife Sanctuary near Currumbin Beach – Help with Gardening, House Projects & More I’m Deborah, and I live in a peaceful bushland home on the ridge in Elanora, on the beautiful Gold Coast (Southeast Queensland). The property is part of a koala sanctuary — wallabies regularly visit the backyard, and if you’re patient, you might spot a koala in the treetops. You’ll definitely hear them at night! Despite the natural setting, we’re only a 5-minute drive from Currumbin Beach and close to local shopping centres, bushwalks, weekend markets, and iconic surf spots. 🌿 About the Stay: I’ve recently moved back into my home and am still getting everything properly set up after a long and difficult few years dealing with insurance and rebuilding. The house is a work in progress — but a beautiful one — and helpers have always been welcome here. Sleeping arrangements currently include inflatable bedding, and there are still some basic household things being sorted out. Most gu...

Seven years ago, Tim and I moved to our little farm, and we've been busy ever since; growing a garden, planting trees, and learning how to care for the land. We joined Landcare to better understand the local trees and wildlife, especially the ones that need a bit of extra protection. Tim is a retired engineer and has a knack for designing and building, so he’s been having a great time working on the infrastructure around the property. As for me, I’m a creative arts teacher and public health practitioner. I still teach both online and on campus at an Australian university, balancing my work with farm life. One of my biggest passions here is my rose garden with 400 fragrant bushes, and I'm dreaming of making rose water and rose oil one day. We’ve also got a thriving organic fruit and veggie garden, with plenty of fruit trees and a mix of seasonal vegetables. Our dam is well stocked with yabbies, and we’re just a short stroll from the Murray River, perfect for a bit of fishing. I lo...

Heyhoo Happy Helpers, we have a very nice but wild property on the hill right behind the sanddunes of Roaring Beach. right now there's not much up here yet, little shed, container, composting toilet, firebath, pizza oven and a pretty wild MTB-trail (the backyard: see video below).. So we can only offer basic accommodation in tents, a old car converted into a tiny bedroom, caves with mattresses (for the adventurous), food, and the beautiful view of the beach, surf, wedge island.. Work would be helping us in the garden, building a new garden with wicking beds, help building a outside bathroom and sauna where i wouldn't mind some practical hands, best with some building experience too..?? Some wippersnippering, firewood cutting (chainsaw experience??), housekeeping.. (let me know any handy skills/experiences..) some mechanical skills could help maintaining cars, bicycles, etc.. ;-) depending on the surf/weather we'd like you to help us roughly 5h a day- but very flexible with the times.. ...

*Update -Spring 2025. September-November We need helpers as soon as possible for a big clean up to help prepare for a big event here in November. **Please note- We prefer to welcome helpers straight away-e.g available now or in the next few days. taking bookings for weeks or months ahead has never worked for us as we buy the extra food and supplies and too many people have cancelled because plans change when travelling. We generally don't take "bookings" for anything longer than one week or so away. We currently have a lot of projects on at the moment so there is a wide selection of tasks to choose from. Work includes gardening projects, feeding chickens, mowing, brush cutting, household chores and upgrading the chicken pen and organising work spaces. **Accommodation is either in a detached house in the forest (up a steep hill from the main house) There are two separate bedrooms up there and our 18 year old son sleeps in one bedroom and you will have the other bedroom. Or you...

I am interested in hearing from suitable single female helpers that are able to stay around 3-4 weeks from early November onwards and can assist with care and maintenance of my sailing catamaran and home. My preference for female helpers is largely to do with the type of work you will perform and attention to detail that is required, and I have found female helpers to be much better than males over the last 10 years of hosting HelpX persons. When I have work that is better suited to males I will advertise as such….just not needed now. We will spend some time around the Whitsunday islands then cruise south towards Great Keppel island and Lady Musgrave reef as weather permits. I have no schedule at present but there will be plenty of places to visit and or depart from. You will be an active, motivated person interested in marine life, reefs, turtles, fishing, snorkeling and the ocean as well as wanting to experience life on a comfortable sailing boat. I ask you to volunteer a few hou...

Hi beautiful people! I’m Christine, a happy spirited former language and arts teacher working across two continents. Since I retired I work in the natural health field. My partner and I live on an urban block called The Roo‘s Pouch, where we maintain a sustainable vegetable garden and created a community of nice people living with us. We ourselves live in one of the three buildings on this sunny property which runs on rainwater harvesting. We avoid chlorine and contaminates by filtering, harmonizing and ionizing our water. So water conservation is part of life for us. The corner block is in a suburb of Maryborough. There are 3 beautiful public parks surrounding us with lots of kangaroos hopping peacefully around, near to the Mary River. The historic city of Maryborough has a lot to offer and is the home town of Mary Poppins. We are only 30 min by car from the ocean in Hervey Bay with wale watching when in season. Hervey Bay is at the doorsteps of Fraser Island/Gari. We offer for s...

I live in Kuranda, but travel often so plenty of opportunities to see new places. I'm a beekeeper that works between Cairns and Cooktown. This time of year my work is situated north of cairns so there plenty opportunity to explore north were not alot of tourist go. The work involves collecting bee hives for honey extraction and queen bee rearing this gives us plenty of time to explore. In spare time we can go to the local Rivers (Baron Gorge), local swimming holes or hiking. Task also involve house work and gardening. The work is not hard, suits male or females and is always varied, recreational activities after work as swimming, hanging out at the beach and camping.

I live between a yacht on Sydney Harbour and a house in a tall eucalyptus forest on the mid north coast of NSW, and need some assistance in working on the house and on another yacht. I'm a carpenter who worked with National Parks and Wildlife for 25 years before retiring, and live with a small dog Billy. I've had many helpers come stay over the last few years and have been lucky to have so many interesting travellers stay. The yacht, is currently on the hard at Whoota where we are renovating her while helping with work on Joyelle. I often take helpers out sailing to see the magnificent Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House this is not possiable while Joyelle is being worked on. Yet, I hope to invite helpers out when she is back in the water, The house is located in Whoota, near Forster. It is surrounded by forest and located a 10 minute drive from pristine beaches, lakes, and bushwalks. There a lots of dolphins to see and beautiful areas to explore. The work we are doing on the ho...

“Work is love made visible” …Kahlil Gibran If you understand the above quotation then you are the HELPER I want. Please, read EVERYTHING below before requesting hosting. I have only recently returned from a volunteer project in Fiji. Now I am renovating a very old miner's cottage on a half-acre in a cute rural village in central NSW. The Cottage is about 150 years old, built originally with timber that was milled on-site by hand. The original Cypress Pine slabs stand vertical. The cottage is being creatively renovated to display its history and highlight modern, country, lifestyle. The grounds are destined to be turned into organic food gardens and a native species garden. Room for you in-house or caravan. YOU could learn a lot about the Aussie lifestyle, sustainable living, alternative building ...AND have a lot of fun, if you choose to HelpX with Donny. We ask for 15 hours of work a week excluding cleaning up after meals and when you are leaving, cleaning the studio ...
