Welcome to Dubbo. We run a mixed farming enterprise just outside town, cattle, sheep, chooks and crops. It's not the beach, we have a magnificent local river and many other interesting things to explore. Lots of wildlife to enjoy. Opportunities available for paid work in Dubbo at either Meat Factory or Dairy - you will have to make contact direct to arrange. Start here as helpx and then find your feet whilst looking for local paid work (once paid work is found you will be required to vacate) There is always plenty of tasks to be done. Fencing repair to new fencing, painting, gardening (we have a large garden and enjoy growing our own vegetables) maintenance, feeding livestock, tractor work, welding. stick picking, construction, home cleaning and cooking. Lots of space to enjoy and see wildlife We welcome skills such as farming, engineering, DIY, carpentry, painting, general maintenance as there is always something that needs attention on a farm. We always need help with our gardens...

Set in a hidden valley of Woonona, this 1 acre oasis is on a journey from forgotten, overgrown grassland to Permaculture wonderland! We have been practicing aspects of sustainability for over 15 years including Permaculture gardening, sustainable building and creating community. Sarah has a deep level of knowledge about market gardening, soil building and organic food & is a qualified Permaculture teacher. Ben is skilled at building with recycled, reclaimed and natural materials, tending fruit trees and teaching ecology & sustainability. The property is located about 5 minutes bike ride from lovely beaches and 5 minutes walk from local shops and access to buses into Wollongong. It`s also only 1.5hrs from Sydney by train. We spent 2010 WWOOFing around the planet with our two children, so we understand how to be good hosts. We love sharing lifestyle and experiences, so hopefully we can help you explore this wonderful part of the world. The current projects involve a range of gardeni...

This is a Standardbred Race Horse (Harness Racing) farm at the foot of Tamborine Mountain. Located 45 minutes from Brisbane in the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland. The closest train station is Beenleigh. Your own car is a plus. We welcome working holiday visa holders with good horse experience and most importantly a passion for horses !! In order to learn your daily task, routine and horses personalities, we will ask you to stay a minimum of 3 weeks. Long stays are really welcome. We start each morning training the horses, washing them and feeding them. All the retired horses need to be feed and watered as well. We need to feed and water all the horses again each night before dark. The ideal helpers will be positive, willing and with a some decent english. ****taking bookings for August 2026**** I have been a Helpx and similar host for 12 years and have really enjoyed meeting, mentoring and sharing my life with so many travellers from every corner of the world. In January 2025, I started a new adventure, moving from Lowden Ridge, my beautiful scenic 100 acre working farm (where i maintained a productive olive grove and also raised cattle, sheep and goats), to a much smaller and tranquil 8 acre hobby farm which I have nicknamed Shady Acres. The new property is set amongst a majestic grove of eucalyptus trees, and is located in Irish Town, just 5 minutes north of the town of Donnybrook. In the last 16 months, with the help of some wonderful backpackers, I have built new fences, new veggie gardens, started a new orchard of fruit and nut trees, built small shelters for the goats and revamped the old chicken coop. I am currently seeking helpers to continuing growing my new farm. Some of the projects planned in the coming months includ...

My farm, located near Kaniva, is a commercial agricultural enterprise in the Wimmera region of western Victoria (midway between Melbourne and Adelaide). It has been owned by my family for more than 130 years. In 2006 I purchased the major portion of the productive land from the family Estate, and now annually crops nearly 425ha to spring wheat, barley, oats, field beans and canola. I am fully responsible for the management and on-going development of the farm, with a "share-farmer" undertaking many of the farm labour components. I do not have enough work to keep you busy long-term, but I certainly have enough for 3-5 days. The deal I am offering is that you help me with general farm chores (e.g. burning up heaps of branches, some fencing repairs, cleaning up branches under trees, caring for my lawns and garden, cutting up firewood, planting farm trees, etc) and I provide free meals and accommodation and a modest hourly payment. Depending on the day/weather we would work for 4-5 ho...

If you love wildlife, the outdoors, great views and good food, send us an email (only emails from this site will be responded to). This is very much a cultural exchange (for us and for you) as you will be in our family home sharing our lifestyle. NO SMOKERS OR VEGETARIANS PLEASE. We prefer our helpers to stay 2 weeks or more. Work outside is a major part of what we do so expect to be outside on a rural property as part of the experience. Please message us through this platform to allow us to view your profile The property is located 60km South of Brisbane and 20km West of the Gold Coast on the upper North slope of Mt Tamborine, 320m above sea level. We are surrounded by National Parks and abundant wildlife. The property is 6Ha with a sub-tropical climate and has great country views to the North up to 140km on a clear day. We also have a tennis court (I will always give preference to tennis players who love to cook and eat great food), an outdoor cob pizza oven, chooks/ducks, two Rh...

This is for those of you who plan ahead. We are full until mid July, right at the start of our best fishing season and in the middle of our best weather when at least some of the time we should be cutting great timber from unwanted trees using a 26 inch/56cm bandsaw. So anyone who loves fishing, snorkelling on inshore reefs and is good at DIY or carpentry and loves the simple, quiet, rural life by the beach, next to the rainforest, this is for you 🤗. We appreciate help with DIY construction, repairs and maintenance, timber work, boat work, metal work repairs to trailers and for help with gardening, housekeeing, cooking, duck and chicken rearing and dog walking on the beach. Fishing, snorkelling, and rainforest walks can help occupy your spare time. We are looking for reasonably good DIY handymen and women, capable of working effectively, when necessary, on your own or as a pair and, ideally, someone who also has some gardening experience, but that is not really necessary, learn o...

We hope you can join us. Currently looking for keen and energetic people who can join us in making our piece of Paradise even better while you have a memorable lifetime experience that will enrich your life. We love sharing who we are and what we have to inspire others to thrive on the land while working with and amongst nature. We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week. Hi, my name is Mary. I live on the border of NSW and Victoria, a town called Albury. There is a train service to Albury from Sydney about 9 hours and Melbourne about 5 hours train trip. I am happy to pick someone from the Albury railway station. Albury is a pretty town on the Hume Highway. It is inland on the Murray River and there are a lot of local attractions, vineyards, historical small towns, snow fields and many more, only a few hours drive. I am located in town, with the railway station and the airport not too far, about 15minutes drive. I am fully vaccinated and require the same of a helper. I only take Non-smokers (meaning you do not smoke at all, outside as well). Currently I am asking for 2.5hrs a day for board only. You can cook for yourselves, buy supplies locally and after cooking clean your area. I would like help with the garden and other general duties around the house, such as cleaning. If you are travelling this way, either going to Melbourne or locally and can hel...

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . Located 12 minutes the pristine beach’...

Welcome to this very special place by the beach along the East Coast in Tasmania. We live on just over 4 acres of land and are starting to create a garden and plant more native trees on the land. We are also building a labyrinth. We are receiving visitors from the 15th September 2026. Tasks on the land include gardening, wood stacking, tree planting and helping with the creation on our labyrinth. We especially welcome people with an interest in community living. We are part of an online community, see my website link below, which includes a vision of lived community with values of nonviolence and liberation for all. I am also a facilitator of the Work that Reconnects, see website link below. If you have an interest in exploring how we can live on the earth more lightly and in a regenerative way, this is the place to come and explore and have those conversations. We are just starting on this journey on this land and are experimenting in what supports choice, togetherness and flow...

Hi beautiful people! I’m Christine, a happy spirited former language and arts teacher working across two continents. Since I retired I work in the natural health field. I live on an urban block called The Roo‘s Pouch, where I maintain a sustainable vegetable garden and created a community of nice people living with me. I live in one of the buildings on this sunny property which runs on rainwater harvesting. We avoid chlorine and contaminates by filtering, harmonizing, and energizing our own water though Ionisation. Water conservation is part of life for me. You can come to Maryborough via plane, bus or train. The Hervey Bay Airport is only 30min from my home. There are meanwhile several bus companies to choose from. If you use the train please book Maryborough town from the drop down menu. The shuttle bus from the train station in Maryborough west (20 min out of town) is free of charge if it is pre-booked. As international travelers you qualify for a concession card on Queensland trai...

We are looking for like minded individuals who are passionate about restoration/building and maintenance, love nature and have a good nature and willing to share a laugh over some good food. We have hosted people from all around the world, including all over Europe, Asia, North and South America. The motel is a 5-minute drive from local amenities such as supermarkets, shops, pubs, and a skate park. From June to September there are plenty of winter activities including skiing, tobogganing, and snowboarding at nearby ski resorts, just 30 minutes away. In summer, there are plenty of hikes, mountain biking, fishing, as well as the beach at Jindabyne Lake, Blue Lake and we are 30 minutes from the tallest mountain in Australia- Mount Koscioscko. Yarrangobilly Caves and nearby thermal pools are about one hour away. Our beautiful site features a serene river, where you can go...

Hey there! I’m Belle 👋 *****Looking for assistance 1st to the 8th March and 3rd to the 19th April. Welcome to my little slice of paradise in Manly, QLD-just 150m from the water! 🌊 It’s a beautiful, laid-back spot with plenty to explore. On weekends, you can stroll down the boardwalk to the local markets (just a 15-minute walk), soak up the coastal vibes, or check out some of the great bars and restaurants nearby. Getting around is a breeze, there are scooters, buses, and a train station just 200m away. A little about me: I’m an outgoing, fun-loving adventurer who thrives on meeting new people from all walks of life. I love Pilates, exploring new places, and making the most of the outdoors. I also have a 20-year-old daughter, Charli, who works locally. She's very outgoing and friendly. We love sharing Aussie experiences with guests, whether that’s sightseeing, swapping travel stories, or helping you improve your English. Oh, and let’s not forget Suede- my energetic and loveable dog...

Outside of these dates I am away or already have people booked to stay. There is always a variety of things to do,both inside and outside, including but not limited to gardening, pruning, processing the dried lavender and making lavender products. If it's raining we work inside.Over winter we like to thoroughly clean the house. The new website has been constructed but it is an ongoing project. We have sorted out alot of household items and are planning to put them on Marketplace and Gumtree so great if anyone wants to help with this. Also optional projects mentioned below. I have been hosting since 1994 and enjoy having people to stay from all over the world.I love hearing about ever...

My husband, Tony, and I offer self-contained accommodation for short stays for a couple or two friends (any genders) who would like to explore the beautiful Yarra Valley or who are in between jobs (Often longer stays are possible depending on whether we have family coming to stay and using the studio.) Our property, Lavender Farm, is about 6 kilometers from the small tourist town of Healesville in the Yarra Valley. The Yarra Valley is wine-growing region at the foot of the Great Dividing Ranges. It is about 1 hour by car from Melbourne. We have a lemon orchard, vegetable garden, horse paddocks and some bush. We are not a commericial lavender farm although we have a lot of lavender growing in the gardens. There are some rescue horses (not rideable) and a pony , chickens, very friendly family dogs and a swimming pool. (too cold at the moment!) Our daughters are grown up and living in Melbourne so we normally just see them on the weekend and when we look afer our grandchildren one ...

We are in the hills 1 hour from Perth CBD in a small rural farming community. Our place includes the small town's original Post office (1914) which has a reputation of being the smallest post office in Australia, this is now used as your cosy air-conditioned guest room with a sofa bed. Complete the rustic aussie experience with an outside toilet. NO local transport. You MUST have your own car. Meals and showering (and another toilet) is in our main house. We have a winter creek at the back set in bushland, musical instruments (piano, guitar, ukuleles). Room for vehicles. Singles, couples welcome. We seek helpers for general yard maintenance, gardening to establish veggie beds, weeding, sweeping, cleaning, painting and household chores. You will need to keep your areas clean and tidy. Two hours work is required each day for accomodation, four hours if including meals. We sometimes like to work more on one day and then have a couple of days free. If its very hot we prefer to work e...
