I live between a yacht on Sydney Harbour and a house in a tall eucalyptus forest on the mid north coast of NSW, and need some assistance in working on the house and on another yacht.  I'm a carpenter who worked with National Parks and Wildlife for 25 years before retiring, and live with a small dog Billy. I've had many helpers come stay over the last few years and have been lucky to have so many interesting travellers stay.  My yacht, is currently on the hard at Whoota, where we are renovating her while helping with work on her. I often take helpers out sailing to see the magnificent Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House but this is not possible while she is being worked on. We are looking for some willing helpers to camp out (or park your campervan/caravan) at our Campground in Katoomba (16 Acres) to do some bush regeneration and targeted weeding of identified noxious weeds that the local council want us to remove. The deal is free camping for 1hr of work/day/group (up to 2 campers). The work is on easy terrain. The Humpback whale and mackeral season starts during July and we enjoy getting out and catching a feed of fish while watching the whales cruise by ..last season a couple of Wwoofers that stayed here awhile saw at least 50 whales over several trips during the winter ..some less then 10 metres from our boat.... From about late august we would particularly love to host one or 2 people to help out around the garden,plant nursery and farm/orchard....Gardening, carpentry,welding(I'd love to get some shooting targets welded up ) or physical labour skills are particularly helpful... Our experience has been that shorter stays of about 2 weeks work best for our situation. We live on a beautiful property on the Nymboida River, a 15 minute drive from the town of Dorrigo and 40 minutes drive from Bellingen.
