Hello! As I have little children, I’m only interested in Solo female travellers only. We are a family of four; a 7 year old boy and 2 year old boy, partner is working and I’m at home alone with the children with too much to keep up with. I currently homeschool my bigger boy using an eclectic approach and nature based learning. We live in a beautiful location close to Rockingham Foreshore. Nearby is Penguin Island in Shoalwater, opportunities for kayaking, kite surfing, fishing and beach swims, close to Point Peron Marine Park for snorkelling with fish, dolphins and sea lions, 30 minutes drive to Mandurah Foreshore and it’s attractions including discovering the amazing Giant Sculptures hidden in nature spots plus there are lots of restaurants in both Rockingham and Mandurah. We are 1.3km to the pristine Warnbro beach, 2.1km to Warnbro Shopping Centre, 1.2km to the gym and swimming pools and there are bus stops on Warnbro Sound Avenue plus Warnbro train station. I am looking f...

Hello travellers! We’ve recently built a wonderfully energy efficient passive solar house, complete with off-grid solar for all our energy needs, rain water collection for all our water needs, and a worm farm waste management system for natural black and grey water processing. We’ve put a lot of work in to achieve a fossil-fuel-free, all-electric, household, with as small an environmental footprint as possible. We’re also lucky to live in a beautiful rural/coastal area near Inverloch, Victoria, approximately 1 hour 45 minutes south-east of Melbourne. We are close to some of Victoria’s most famous wildlife and wilderness attractions, including the Penguin Parade at Phillip Island, the Koala Conservation Reserve, and hiking and camping at Wilson’s Promontory (not to mention numerous local beaches and fishing spots only 10 minutes away!). With our house complete, we’re now working to progress the landscaping aspects of our project. We’d be very appreciative of a helping hand or two to ...

I am looking to find one or two people to assist me with my camel rides business on rhe weekends and help with the training on camels in harness during the week . To be suitable for this opportunity you must have some large animal experience.I can offer free accommodation which is a self contained bus with its own shower and toilet, included is power and free WiFi.As well as free accommodate you will be given $200 per wk for food. This can be quite hard work at times but very rewarding when you see camels learn and begin to understand what you are teaching them. For your safety you must be able to speak and understand English, as it can be a challenging fast pace environment where you must be able to understand my instructions. If you think you fit this profile and an opportunity to help educate these camels, contact Peter for more information.

This is a Standardbred Race Horse (Harness Racing) farm at the foot of Tamborine Mountain. Located 45 minutes from Brisbane in the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland. The closest train station is Beenleigh. Your own car is a plus. We welcome working holiday visa holders with good horse experience and most importantly a passion for horses !! In order to learn your daily task, routine and horses personalities, we will ask you to stay a minimum of 3 weeks. Long stays are really welcome. Your role on the farm would be helping with the daily care of our racehorses. It's an everyday job starting depending of the sun (4.30am in summer and later on winter time). We start each morning training the horses, washing them and feeding them. All the retired horses need to be feed and watered as well. We need to feed and water all the horses again each night before dark. The ideal helpers will be positive, willing and with a some decent english. Because it’s a 30 hec property and there is always some...

This is for those of you who plan ahead. We are full until mid July, right at the start of our best fishing season and in the middle of our best weather when at least some of the time we should be cutting great timber from unwanted trees using a 26 inch/56cm bandsaw. So anyone who loves fishing, snorkelling on inshore reefs and is good at DIY or carpentry and loves the simple, quiet, rural life by the beach, next to the rainforest, this is for you 🤗. We appreciate help with DIY construction, repairs and maintenance, timber work, boat work, metal work repairs to trailers and for help with gardening, housekeeing, cooking, duck and chicken rearing and dog walking on the beach. Fishing, snorkelling, and rainforest walks can help occupy your spare time. We are looking for reasonably good DIY handymen and women, capable of working effectively, when necessary, on your own or as a pair and, ideally, someone who also has some gardening experience, but that is not really necessary, learn o...

We are a welcoming family inviting volunteers to stay with us and experience the lifestyle and culture of rural Australia. To clarify from the outset: we do not own the cattle station. My husband is the station manager, and I am looking for helpers to assist me personally with the care of our horses, pets, and day-to-day household routines — not with station or cattle operations. This is a hands-on, immersive opportunity to enjoy country life, connect with animals, and be part of everyday outback living in a relaxed family environment. About Us & Daily Life A big part of your time here will involve helping me care for our horses and other animals — including feeding, grooming, and general animal care. Riding is available if you are capable, confident, and it is appropriate on the day, or if you would like to learn under supervision. Like any household, there are also light daily tasks that everyone pitches in with, such as tidying shared spaces or helping with routine animal feedi...

Our small farm (https://little-farm.com.au) sits in Northern Victoria, where we grow fruit and vegetables, plant trees, and learn as we go. Tim, a retired engineer, is always building or fixing something. Beth is a teacher and health practitioner who also teaches at university. She tends a rose garden of over 400 fragrant bushes. Early mornings here smell incredible. The property includes an organic vegetable garden, orchard, berries, herbs, and a music room with a baby grand piano. If you play, bring your instrument. We’re close to the Murray River. Big skies, glowing sunrises and sunsets, and rich birdlife surround us. Magpies are part of daily life here, in sound and in art across the farm. Nights are clear and full of stars. Many people arrive tired and leave feeling genuinely restored. What we’re looking for Willing, reliable help Someone who takes initiative and keeps shared spaces tidy A careful learner who asks when unsure You’ll be guided at first, then work more indepen...

Hi you young and beautiful travelers, Bundaberg is a less known touristic town, with a mild climate, beautiful beaches and wonderful surroundings. It is also an agricultural country town with many backpackers hostels . With a bit of lack there might be opportunities for paid work on a farm. It’s only 350km north of Brisbane and easily reachable by train. My home is only a few minutes drive from the town center, yet secluded and peaceful, sitting on 2.5 acres. I am looking for people who would like to visit this promising coastal town and help with general house and backyard maintenance, around 4 -5 hours a day, 6 days a week. The person helping me will have a home away from home and a cosy room to rest in. I am hoping he/she will treat the place with respect and consideration, observing the few requirements related to the use of bathroom and kitchen. Otherwise, regretfully, we will have to part ways sooner then expected. A good home cooked meal and an occasional glass of wine is...

After 16 years, and hosting almost 100 HelpXers, at our property in Larnook, in the Northern Rivers region, Steve and I have moved to a new place in Tenterfield, at the northern end of the New England Tableland. All of our reviews up until September 2024, are related to our previous place. We are now ready to accept HelpXers at our new place. Steve and I are a gay couple and we offer a high quality experience (as you can see from our reviews) and so we expect our Helpers to pitch in and help. The more you put into your time here at Tenterfield, the more you will get out of it. We have lots of small work jobs at present including lots of weeding and gardening, mowing, establishing herb and vege gardens, pruning and cutting back and some other work. Our property is situated a few kilometers west of the town of Tenterfield, in a quiet, rural area. We usually expect around 4 hours per day of work in exchange for all meals, your own room, access to internet (for checking emails, looki...

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. We live in a fun share house in Maryborough, Marry Poppins Town, with awesome meals and a big edible garden. We're Mars, the owner of the property and Tracy, a former theatre/restaurant owner who's cooking the most awesome meals and looking after everyone like a mum. There're 2 adorable dogs in the family, so you must be a dog lover. Also 6 chicken and 2 ducks, so we always have fresh eggs. We need help with building and creating, and with an awesome but overgrown edible garden. We're about to put 12v solar power into the rooms, also natural air-conditioning and are finishing up the spa bath in the 2nd bathroom... so there's a bit for you to learn and lots of knowledge to take home. We like to work with fun and laughter and love to see you letting a bit of your craziness out. Be yourself and join the family... We have had awesome experiences with travellers so far 😃. Please note that there's a minimum of 1 week stay, we do not like to be used as a pit stop. There's no maximum s...

We are a family of five living a self reliant lifestyle, on a small isolated block. We produce our own food, including goat's yoghurt & cheese, wild or raised meats, eggs, fruit and veggies from our established gardens. We have no income from our property as we are always wanting to become more self-sufficient, so guests must be self motivated and hard working, and be able to contribute skills. We do not allow the use of chemicals (shampoo, sunscreen deodorants etc...) as our grey-water goes directly onto the food gardens, but we do supply our own home made organic soaps and creams. Our aim is to create a co-operative living space, so opportunities arise for short and long term or permanent stay. We have three children who we homeschool using natural learning methods. Travellers with children are very welcome. Please visit our website via link below. We are randomly online and prefer telephone contact to make arrangements.

We are 10 minutes from Byron and we can see the famous Byron lighthouse from our front balcony. We love hosting Help X guests. We also need help in managing a 6000 sq meter block with a garden that needs a lot of work and a big house that needs cleaning. Our house has views and a pool and spa as well as a media room, all of which, we share with you. If you are over 25, we may be able to lend you a small Toyota Yaris which is registered for free Byron Bay parking in most places. You can use it for short trips into Byron and but you will need to work out how to share the car and petrol costs if we have several helpers staying. Unfortunately, our insurance does not cover younger drivers and without a car, you may find us too isolated as there is no public transport. We ask for 20 hours of work a week not counting cleaning up after meals and when you are leaving, cleaning the studio or your room. You can either work whenever you choose and record your hours each day...

There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , .
