I live in a rainforest 25km west of Coffs Harbour. It adjoins a national park and for the past 4 years, I have been slowly cleaning and regenerating the forest. This is a special place with an abundant birdlife, (a bird watchers paradise), beautiful streams of pure water and a variety of eco systems. I am in the process of painting/renovating a cabin that will be available for short stays and also have a bedroom with own bathroom in the main house. I'm looking for a help in a number of areas that include: - Weeding - small weeds and lantana - Removal of small trees - Planting of native trees - Whipper/snipping, general land care and tidying up - Cleaning - Painting - Creating space in the forest for sit spots - Carpentry and the ability to use existing wood pile for creative seating/shelters Must have own car and preferably an AWD or 4WD, although not essential.

Our wonderful helpers from France have finally moved on - long after they originally intended as they loved it here, so we are now seeking some new helpers. ENJOY THE FREEDOM & BEAUTY OF SOUTH GIPPSLAND. Property is a botanic garden of Australian native plants, many rare or endangered, plus an acre of plants for cut flowers, mainly proteas, banksias and tea trees. Lots of wildlife. We need help with weeding, mowing, mulching, planting and general clean up as the property is too big for the two of us to maintain. Accommodation is very comfortable, private, with fully set up kitchen in a studio style cottage with a queen size bed and smart TV. Recently installed a new electric oven with airfry function. Has split system heating and cooling. It is separate from the main house. It was a very popular AirBnB destination but we have decided not to do it anymore as it is too much extra work. The property is rural; half way between Wonthaggi and Inverloch so having a car is convenient but there...

We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week. Our preference is for a single person or couple who have some skil...

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON Need help.with a garden clean up.at the moment. You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one rough headed ,skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town, which is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay. Two hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around. There is a mountain on my farm with lots...

I am an aquatic ecologist who has fortunately been working out of our coastal rain-forest property for 35 years. Driven by strong curiosity, I have recently been developing long-term data sets on the animal life in the forest that surrounds our home, plus on tropical marine fish that are steadily increasing in numbers under the influence of climate change at the nearby very beautiful Seal Rocks area (for details click on my website link below). We have 20 acres with 2 acres cleared and the remainder moist tall forest and rainforest. It is on the coast 3 hrs drive north of Sydney (1.5km from Smiths Lake; 30km south of Forster) See my blog link below to glimpse the accommodation, typical work and fun. We have a 180 squ m vegetable garden at times needing attention which has been enclosed to keep out our friends the wallabies (pademelons), possums, parrots and native bush turkeys. Bush regeneration is another activity as well as assisting in ecological surveys of local rivers when t...

Horse/animal lovers will be in heaven, helping on a farm in the Riverland, South Australia. Experience what it’s like to be on an outback station, while still being close to civilisation. I am on a farm in one of the Mallee areas of the Riverland, South Australia; in between Waikerie, Swan Reach and Blanchetown . It is a peaceful area, with beautiful sunsets and lots of wildlife to see; such as kangaroos, emus, many varieties of birds and if you are lucky; echidnas, wedge tail eagles and goannas. Waikerie is our closest town being approx. 27kms away (around 15-20 minutes by car). My daughter and I have 6,000 acres that is mainly used for cereal crops and sheep (it is run by my daughter and her husband). I am based here and my daughter and her husband live in the South East of SA. I also have horses which we have used on the farm and also for competition riding, an Australian cattle dog and a herd of cats (the cats live in the sheds). I am wanting some help with looking after the...

We live in a beautiful part of the world between the beach and Margaret River town. We live on a farm with multi- generational families, we work towards a lot of self sufficiency and we work off the farm also. Our interests include music and wellbeing. The Margaret River community is vibrant and has many activities on offer. Our family welcomes cross-cultural experience. We like our Helpxers to be happy; we offer clean, comfortable, private caravan accommodation. Tasks are dependent on helpxer skills, farm, family and home requirements (such as whipper snipping, gardening, wood splitting, domestic tasks, artistic skills and painting). Having a car is necessary as there is no public transport. We ask for 1 hour work a day (couple) and 1.5 hours work a day (single) which means that helpxers can get work off the farm, if you like. Hello, I’m David! I have sold my coffee shop after 45 years in the hospitality trade, where travelling workers would once work, however I STILL offer helpers the same excellent own room lodging as homestay & great food in exchange for a little light work and some social contact. I live close the train station and bus stop and am a 30 min trip by train to Melbourne City. There is a vehicle to drive locally if are appropriately licensed. You are welcome to use it. I go to the outback in western New South Wales about 3 times a year for the purpose of experiencing the beautiful "timeless land" of Australia and to legally hunt feral animals which endanger our wildlife. I often take workers to the outback so they can have a taste of the real Australia and I can assure that none of the numerous helpers/woofers I have taken over a many year period did not thoroughly enjoy it. . However the choice is theirs whether they accompany myself or whether they stay and "mind the house" I also oft...

A large, spacious room with a double bed, attached to the house, has a private entrance. Applications for COUPLES or TWO people are open now. Opportunities for Autumn vineyard and maintenance work are available now, starting in April 2026. Couples with Visitor visas are also welcome. I want (NON-smoking) volunteers who wish to experience distillery, vineyard, and winemaking work. We have converted a bus to a tiny home, and we are currently building a shipping container home, this is a priority and would love people to help. We also grow a lot of our own food and have fruit trees. We are 100% off-grid with all our electricity from solar and tanks, dam, and rain for water. We have a friendly dog who loves to play. Our goal is to be as self-sufficient as possible, improve the soil, and regenerate the land to a healthy ecosystem. We use Permaculture Design methods. This means we don't use any chemical sprays, artificial fertilizer or mono-cropping on our land and live the values of Earth Care, People Care and Fair Share. It's a very exciting time for us to be embarking on our farming adventure, and we would like to share this ti...

Tania is an artist (pottery, mosaics, jewellery) and runs her studio/classes from the property, Tim is a fitter/welder + there are teenagers, 2 dogs (plus fish and a turtle) and a tenant coming and going from the rear of the property. We are Todd and Wiebke, living just outside Toowoomba in Queensland (about 1.5 hours from Brisbane) on our rural property surrounded by beautiful countryside. Todd is Australian and works in equine bodywork. Wiebke grew up in Germany and works in accountancy. We have both travelled extensively through Europe, South East Asia, Canada and Australia and we truly value cultural exchange and the opportunity to experience everyday local life rather than just passing through as tourists. Our property is currently transitioning from avocado farming into a dedicated equine facility focused on horse wellbeing and performance support. Horses are at the heart of what we do and we are passionate about creating a calm, thoughtful and educational environment around them. What You Can Experience Here: Staying with us offers a genuine rural Australian experience. You can: -Be part of daily life on a small equine property -Learn about horse care, bodywork principles and rehabilitation environments...

Please note, there is no internet on at the house, I prefer to communicate with people face to face. I only have internet on my phone. There is a community centre just down the road where you can access the internet on week days. There's also a club in town that has free internet and is open until 4am 7 days a week. The only room currently available is the smaller double room upstairs. I currently have a lady with 2 children in the downstairs area. Ipswich is a lovely place in itself and is about an hours drive to Brisbane, about an hour to the Gold Coast, about an hour and a half to the Sunshine Coast or about an hour to the mountains in Toowoomba. Many visitors to Australia assume it will be hot here and in summer it is, in winter the temperature can be very cold. Make sure to pack some warm winter clothing if travelling in the winter months. I don't have fans or air conditioning so the temperature is what it is. It's hot in summer and cold in winter. Electricity has become too exp...

Looking for a couple or singles for general cleaning and assistance with renovation of my dual apartment complex I am looking to gut one of the units, renovate 2 bathrooms so lots of different types of work avaialle getting the unit ready for the builder. In addition, basic cleaning, gardening and minor maintenance work in exchange for a stay in a 2.2 million dollar house with views to die for. Folks always are amazed at the quality of the units which are located on the top of Bowen Hills 2km from the city, 300 metres from the train station, 200 metres for Gaswork shopping complex, 250 metres from Aldi. My arrangement is usually 5 days of working per week (weekend or flexible days off), 4 hours of work per day per person, in exchnage for accommodation and general basic food (no alcohol/no takeaway), with reimbursement of receipts. The timing of the work can be flexible but if it is noisy it needs to be done between 9 am and 5 pm. Usually: looking for a labourer, tradie/handy perso...

I operate a plant nursery and could use a helping hand. There are lots of weeds that need pulling and lots of plants that need planting. I would be asking for 12 hours per week of stay. This would be for accommodation only, no food. I have two nice rooms in a share house environment. I am not a super social person so it would be more along the lines of accommodation but in saying that I don't mind sharing a glass of wine around a fire. Other things to do include bird watching, crocodile watching. At last count we had 14 fresh water crocodiles. Bush walks Our nursery is 15 minutes by car to Darwin so it is a good landing spot to explore darwin further. For the right people I can offer a day excursion out to a cattle station to fish or ride around in a buggy and see some more of the territory or some other 4wd adventure. This would depend largely on my availability and what I am doing that weekend. Your own transport is better. There is a bus stop about 900m away but the service aroun...

Kind regards :) Sabine, Tony and Family

Opportunities for Autumn vineyard and maintenance work are available now, starting in April 2026. Couples with Visitor visas are also welcome. Please note, there is no internet on at the house, I prefer to communicate with people face to face. I only have internet on my phone.
