A little bit about us: My husband and I are originally from France and Switzerland, so we do speak French. We are outgoing, friendly and love having people around us. We look after our beautiful grandson every Monday night and Tuesday as well as every second weekends, so we hope you like children. Cyril is a chef and cooks every night, we always eat well. In our home, you will have your own bedroom, all meals included, internet access, access to the whole house, including swimming pool. We have 2 bikes available that you are more than welcome to use. We live close to public transport. In exchange, we expect our helpers to contribute to 4 hours a day, 6 days a week (a total of 24hrs a week) - We are flexible on how these hours are done. The work will include general house d...

PLEASE TAKE GOOD NOTE OF IMPORTANT DETAILS: SEEKING ONE SOLO FEMALE FROM LATE JUNE ONWARDS Hello lovely travelling women!! I am seeking a female between the ages of 30-35 who can take care of my teenage daughter for a couple of months while I am overseas (July-August). You will have full use of my car and your own room in our Queenslander house just ten minutes from Brisbane City. Living with us is also a 21-year-old male Engineering student. He has been living with us for over one year...

We are looking for two types of helpers: firstly a good wood worker / carpenter / DIY handyman/woman capable of working effectively on your own or as a pair. Most of the work is outside but based out of a well-equipped, airconditioned, woodworking workshop. Secondly we are looking for someone to help with housekeeping and cooking and gardening. Plenty of opportunities on your day off, if you have interests in fishing, sailing, snorkeling, weather permitting of course. We are establishing a modest permaculture garden with heritage breed chickens and a range or of tropical fruit, vegetables and herbs. We have recently started making and using biochar, rearing soldier-fly larvae for chickens, starting oyster mushroom growing and are starting to grow various high-nutritional-value microgreens. We live next to a very quet sandy, tropical beach (tide line 135 metres from the door) in the small rural community of Wonga Beach, 90 minutes north of Cairns. We are keen on wildlife phot...

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON *Got a garden that needs cleaning up at the moment. You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one farmer, one dog, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town, which is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay. Two hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around. After my husband died in December 2022 I am left with my daughter Bess (23) maintaining the vegetable garden and the house by myself. I stay with her in one of the three buildings on the property. The property is in a suburb of Maryborough. There are 3 public parks surrounding us and we are close to the Mary River. There are lots of kangaroos to observe in these parks. We are only 30 min by car from the ocean in Hervey Bay. I love to cook and entertain. I offer for single or couple a bedroom with bathroom, The tasks: The vegetable garden needs topping up soil and mulch, some trimming of hedges, some maintenance on the house like painting some areas outside (wooden Queenslander), maintaining the gutters and weeding. All jobs are able to be done in 4 hours. Especially in summer it is best to start early in the day because of the subtropical climate. The heat at lunch time can be overwhelming. If you would like to take days off, just arrange to add to your tasks on the days before....

We welcome working holiday visa holders with horse experience and most importantly a passion for horses!! Your role on the farm would be helping with the daily care of our standardbred racehorses, yearlings, broodmares and stallions. Feeding, grooming, mucking out etc. Ideal helpers will be positive and willing. We enjoy meeting enthusiastic people that really want to get involved on the farm and learn how we do things. Day to day life on the farm is easy going, and we encourage our travellers to enjoy their down time exploring all the area has to offer, such as walks in the national park and rainforest or swimming in the creeks and waterfalls. There will be plenty of time for playing pool, horse riding, swimming in our indoor pool, meeting our lovely big family and getting involved in the backyard cricket matches! We...

We enjoy sharing our space with those who are similarly caring, motivated, participative, interesting people who a pleasure to be around. The house is not only architecturally beautiful, it is also built with minimal toxins utilising untreated hardwood timbers, unsealed slate stone and white washed brick. It is designed to optimise earthing, and to minimise electromagnetic penetration and exposure. It represents the epitome of inside/outside living where you are always very close to na...

After 16 years, and hosting almost 100 HelpXers, at our property in Larnook, in the Northern Rivers region, Steve and I have moved to a new place in Tenterfield, at the northern end of the New England Tableland. All of our reviews up until September 2024, are related to our previous place. We are now ready to accept HelpXers at our new place. Steve and I are a gay couple and we offer a high quality experience (as you can see from our reviews) and so we expect our Helpers to pitch in and help. The more you put into your time here at Tenterfield, the more you will get out of it. We have lots of small work jobs at present including lots of weeding and gardening, mowing, establishing herb and vege gardens, pruning and cutting back and some other work. Our property is situated a few kilometers west of the town of Tenterfield, in a quiet, rural area. We usually expect around 4 hours per day of work in exchange for all meals, your own room, access to internet (for checking emails, looki...

“Work is love made visible” …Kahlil Gibran If you understand the above quotation then you are the HELPER I want. Please, read EVERYTHING below before requesting hosting. I recently bought a very old miner's cottage on a half-acre in a cute rural village in central NSW. The Cottage is about 130 years old, built originally with timber that was milled on-site by hand. The original Cypress Pine slabs stood vertical. The cottage will be creatively renovated to display its history and highlight modern, country, lifestyle. The grounds are destined to be turned into organic food gardens and a native species garden. I have a great 'Gypsie Camp' set up on the block, with canvass and caravan. YOU could learn a lot about the Aussie lifestyle, sustainable living, alternative building ...AND have a lot of fun, if you choose to HelpX with Donny. ABOUT DONNY: Donny is a real Aussie Character: He is a retired, alternative builder. He is also an event manager, writer, musician, knowledgeable ga...

I am seeking a female between the ages of 30-35 who can take care of my teenage daughter for a couple of months while I am overseas (July-August). My daughter will be 16 and is for the most part independent. She doesn't go to mainstream school, but attends TAFE one day per week and the other days she is either working or hanging out with her friends. You would be required to cook healthy dinners for her each night, drive her to her ice-skating class one evening per week and otherwise just keep an eye on her, communicating as necessary about when she will be home, etc. If it is dark you may need to go and pick her up from her boyfriend's house.

Our place sits high on a hill with spectacular 360 degree views of mountains, valleys, rolling hills and city lights overlooking all of Albury/Wodonga, twin cities on the Murray River. We are on the main freeway between Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney. Large luxury cedar and rock homestead on 100 acres. Lots of historic church features incorporated into the homestead and cute rustic outbuildings , antiques and artistic detail abound. Beautiful and unique large garden filled with 100+ sculptures, many paths to explore, ponds, organic vegetable and berry gardens, free range poultry and wildlife galore and many other interesting features. Lots of fun things to do and see here and everyone who has stayed has left with a happy and memorable experience. We have been a host farm for over 18 years now with well over 250 helpers having stayed. Usually it is only a one to two week stay but that is negotiable depending on how much work there is and how well we all get on. Sometimes I will accept ...

i have been on couchsurfing network for years hosting many people.. and i think this HelpX network is a great idea. Actually i kinda prefer it now. I am flexible with my time (especially during the week days) and love to hang out and make new friends.. In the summer I travel around Victoria and Australia a lot, going on road trips with friends and many music festivals -camping in the bush etc.. I am into music (composing/playing); Alternative health / medicine ; Electronics / Engineering / technology ; Anything weird wacky unusual unexplained strange secret, etc etc...; Business combining most of the above, ;) .. The world is full of amazing things and possibilities and Life can never be dull for the seeker with an open mind. I do not drink or smoke and i prefer vegetarian food but still i m pretty flexible.. During the warmer months me and my crew travel to various outdoor music festivals around Australia and we run some fun projects like a Live Jamming/Chill Space, etc.. We cre...

Hi I'm Terri. I have a 3 bedroom house 4km from the city of Adelaide, very close to public transport and easy to get around. I'm looking for someone who enjoys cooking - and loves cats. Accommodation would be provided in exchange for someone to purchase food, prepare and cook a meal every day for me So I can focus on putting all my energy into being healthy gaining weight and combatting Chronic Fatigue. I'm flexible with times and types of food cooked - menu and details can be discussed You would have your own room and share a bathroom. Can be a single person or a couple, if there are 2 there may be other small jobs to do around the house occasionally. I have 2 friendly cats so if you like to cook and love cats this might be the place for you to stay for a few months while exploring Adelaide

The house sits on a ridge, with views of the Springbrook Plateau, and is surrounded by lush rainforest. It is an area of high bio-diversity with rainforest, waterfalls, rivers & many different types of wildlife, which is all easily accessible. You may encounter wallabies, lizards, snakes and numerous bird life I have done a lot of traveling over the years, am passionate about music and love to have a jam with my friends, and practice Tai-Chi daily. I enjoy good food, and my diet is mainly vegetarian, and i have my own veggie patch. We have availability from 11-18th May and 11-18th July assisting in a feel-good re-wilding project (we're growing 100,000 native trees). We accept people who appreciate 4hrs of daily work alongside us is a very fair exchange for wholesome meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner provided), your own private space, satellite Wi-fi and access to beautiful, private, natural surroundings with lots of native wildlife like wallabies and pademelons. We are otherwise booked up until August, but send us an email if you really want to come as we sometimes have cancellations. In your free time, volunteers can go swimming, enjoy many of the hikes on and around our property (plus we adjoin 8,000ha/20,000ac of National Park) and meet/spend time with our animals, read , meditate, do yoga/fitness, satellite wifi, watch movies, bird watching, platypus watching...etc. We have a lot of info on our page, mainly so we get the right people applying to volunteer here. The work is usually physical (ie no cute a...
