Please join us at our home in the Cairngorm National Park in the Highlands of Scotland and help us with various outdoor seasonal jobs to include gardening, grass cutting, routine maintenance and housework including holiday rental turnarounds. You will also get the opportunity to learn about foraging and gin making and depending on the time of year we may need help in making up our Christmas gifting range in the Distillery. There is a good social life here not only with the other volunteers but also our friends and family who often visit and you are Wilkins to join in any fun activities! The Cairngorm National Park has amazing scenery and is perfect for outdoor pursuits with many being on our doorstep. In the summer we often go paddle boarding, canoeing, wild swimming, cliff jumping, hiking and mountain biking (there is an amazing downhill mountain bike centre behind our house). In the winter there is the option of down bill skiing.

We have a last minute availability from 11-18th May and another week 11-18th July. We accept people who appreciate 4hrs of daily work alongside us is a very fair exchange for wholesome meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner provided + seasonal fruit), your own private space, satellite Wi-fi and access to beautiful, private, natural surroundings with lots of native wildlife like wallabies and pademelons. We are otherwise booked up until August, but send us an email if you really want to come as we sometimes have cancellations. In your free time, volunteers can go swimming, enjoy many of the hikes on and around our property (plus we adjoin 8,000ha/20,000ac of National Park) and meet/spend time with our animals, read , meditate, do yoga/fitness, satellite wifi, watch movies, bird watching, platypus watching...etc. We have a lot of info on our page, mainly so we get the right people applying to volunteer here. The work is usually physical (ie no cute animal feeding - that`s in your free t...

At our off- grid solar, wood and gravity powered homestead you can live very close to Nature and learn by helping, how to grow your own food in the big, fully caged vegie garden/ orchard and some of how to build a bush cabin (it could be a winning strategy in years to come). We are long term, committed advocates, for climate change action and we've lived with Sustainability and Creating a low "Carbon Footprint" in mind, for 40 yrs now, settling here, (inland of Taree / Port Macquarie) from scratch in 1980, on 680 acres of rocky ridge forest on the wild and steep NW edge of the Bulga Plateau, 500m above sea level (a very beautiful but challenging location)! Watch our YouTube video below, about our community and us, made by the very talented helpxer, Louie Ablett. Three of us live here now, myself 72, David 82 and Sue 62, who started as a WWOOFer and has moved here with the help of a voluntary activity agreement through Centrelink for over 55s'. Sue came in September 2019 and has b...

I am a single parent with 2 grown adults and a girl of secondary school age. i run a small party decorating business and have a small general home and hardware store, the wedding business is very interesting and demanding, hence me looking and seeking out for help.thanks Due to other duties that needs to be done in the shop. There are skills that can be learnt here which will be useful. Such as experience in customer service skills and making floral centrepieces you will also improve on English skills if this is needed The person i am looking for must be very neat and clean I am looking for someone who is willing to commit to at least a minimum of 2 or 3 months and also keep to the time agreed and not break the staying time half way through. (this can be very devastating if the reason is trivial) I am looking for someone who is not lazy to work and is very conversant with keeping their environment tidy. you will have your own sleeping area The person must be neat and read...

We -- two men, and sometimes our 33-year-old son Etienne, and sometimes an old HelpXer or two who are still coming back -- live in a beautiful old log house on a traditional, self-sufficient, Kootenay homestead. We've generally got chickens, sheep, ducks, gardens, fruit trees. We're in a small community surrounded by wilderness: Argenta is a friendly place of 120 people — Quakers, hippies and just folks — on the northern tip of Kootenay Lake, at one end of the Earl Grey Trail. (You can walk here in four days from Invermere, or come the more usual way by road!) There's always farm work (gardening, animals, preserving food and lots more) and lots of projects (building, fencing, wilderness trail building...). And, depending on the season, there's hiking, fishing, canoeing, sailing, skiing, skating and skinny-dipping (yup, lots of naked people here) in one of our ponds or in Kootenay Lake. We have a lot of homesteading experience and are very happy to share it. If you're interested...

Hi, my name is Nona and I live on a small property in Barrine at the top of the Gillies range. Its 1.5hrs drive from Cairns and much cooler with less humidity due to the altitude. 15 mins from idilic Yungaburra with cafes and a small supermarket and half an hour from Atherton which has most services and the bus stop to Cairns. Its a rural area between Tinnaroo dam and both Lake's Barrine and Eacham, positioned to see spectacular sunsets and lots of rolling hills. A car would give you more independence but otherwise I can pick you up from the bus stop in Atherton and show around. There are lots of birds and other wildlife and everything is very green at the moment due to the recent rain. I have 2 little dogs, chickens, quails and bees and am slowly beautifying the block. I am easygoing, eat anything, dont drink or drug and enjoy good food and a peaceful environment. I love caring for my managerie, walking my dogs daily in nature, outside fires at sunset, kayaking, swimming, gardening an...

We are a new project based in a beautiful rural location in southern Bulgaria. We have a renovated and converted large school building on a property of 6.5 hectares. The surrounding area is mountainous and wild, with a river leading into Kardjali lake within walking distance. The town of Kardjali is only 15km away and yet it feels like a countryside paradise at The Ranch. There are many interesting and beautiful places to visit nearby, including Thracian tombs and settlements, incredible natural caves and waterfalls, the cosmopolitan and cultural city of Plovdiv, and, we can be relaxing on a Greek beach in less than two hours. We are Josh, a Canadian who has been living in Germany for many years, and Lara, an English long-term resident of Bulgaria. There are many others involved in the project who you may meet along the way, including Ivo, the head honcho, Selchuk, the local legend, and all our wonderful youngsters from Germany who come to spend time with us and learn new skills. Hi=) We are a fun, friendly household in the sunny Bay of Plenty! I'm a Drama & English teacher and Blair is an electrician. My husband and I have 2 fun, adventurous girls, we also have a puppy and cat. We enjoy biking, baking, board games and picnics at the beach, amongst other things. We would love to host people who are honest, friendly, independent, hard-workers and are interested in meeting new people and enjoying what Tauranga has to offer. In exchange for 4 hours work per day, you will receive free accomodation, meals (please provide your own snacks) and wifi. Work includes domestic-type chores; mainly cleaning, cooking and possibly baby-sitting - helps if you like children and animals. We have a cat and golden retriever. It is definitely easier if you have a car, although buses are available from here. We had a homestay from China for a year who found his way round on the buses fine but it does take a while. Happy for any amount of time e.g.:1-2 days or weeks stay but prefe...

Hi, it's Barbara here. Thank you for reading my blurb. I would happily look at helpers this winter 25...So if that interests you I would love to hear from you. I have a 20-year vision to turn my 1.2ha lifestyle block into a sanctuary for me, the birds, the bees and anything else living. All this including developing a vegetable garden based on permaculture principals. Currently at year three and I am trying to be organic (apart from the dreaded blackberry). I live by the motto - Don't be afraid of going slowly; be afraid of not moving. So, I have grand visions moving forward, and this is where I could do with a bit of help. My section is a work in progress, and I would love assistance with some of those transformation processes, as well as day to day garden and house maintenance depending on the season. Some of the work may include: Tree planting and releasing Creating gardens and beds Mowing and edging lawns Weeding Making compost bins Feeding the worms Outside house maintenance: ...

Welcome, I am Laurent from France Help us build a Zome, a wooden construction based on the rules of sacred geometry in Chkaduashi, Georgia The Zome Garden is composed of circular wooden constructions that follow the rules of sacred geometry, based on the golden ratio. This atypical and magical place offers its visitors, in addition to the beauty of its forms, a unique experience thanks to the ascending double spiral wave naturally generated by its architecture." Here are some additional details that might be helpful: * Zomes: * The term "zome" refers to a type of architectural structure created by combining various rhombic polyhedra. * They are often associated with sacred geometry and are believed by some to have unique energetic properties. * Sacred Geometry: * Sacred geometry involves geometric shapes and proportions that are believed to have symbolic and spiritual meaning. * The golden ratio, also known as the divine proportion, is a mathematical ratio found through...

Autonomy for everyone, especially for you and us at mealtime ... Resources are shared according to the availability of the moment. More possibilities if my children are not there, less if I have other guests ... fortuitous ... In the meantime we have no shortage of space in the garden to let you plant your tent or you lend a space... This is the minimum we can guarantee. A cabin is also available on the family sailboat ... Here too, there is work ... The room with double bed of the house is not often free for our helper sometimes the chance does things well, ask what you want, we are in French Polynesia climate is stable all year ;-) We will not ask for more than 2 or 3 hours of help a day in exchange we plan to lodge without food, although fruits from the garden are still part of the tradition of sharing the house... It's up to you to do your shopping and your dish washing and cleaning up after, the load will be in our situation not equitable otherwise.

Located in the rolling hills just minutes from Pine Lake, AB, our small 10 acre farm needs some love. We are looking for helpful, willing and enthusiastic person to help us renovate our new farm and with day-to day maintenance. Some of our projects this year include: - Putting a new roof on the barn - Plumbing in a new bathroom - Cleaning up/continue renovating workshop - Cleaning up dead trees - Digging/Fixing water lines - build outdoor riding arena - clean up yard, pastures, etc. Daily/weekly tasks include: - Swimming pool maintenance - caring for the animals - gardening/weeding - mowing lawn - cleaning - working with horses - other tasks as they appear. Most things are weather-dependent, so flexibility is a must. We also don't work on a schedule; sometimes the opportunity to get a project done presents itself and we can work hard to complete it, and there are other times when we can relax. Being able to work on your own is a must as we both work at times. Experience with...

Need a helper for May, June and July Purpose built oceanfront B&B with 3 private self-contained studio suites on the 2nd floor of our home which is on the first floor. We are rated highly on TripAdvisor. Enjoy canoeing, kayaking, biking & hiking at our waterfront B&B. You'll have your own private room. If you have a valid drivers license, and are staying for at least 2 months you may use one of our cars. This requires a discussion, and is on a case by case basis. April through October (Summer) Cleaning rooms. gardening, yard work, helping around the B&B with all aspects of running a home-based business including serving breakfast. Must be physically fit to do this. Crewing on our boat is optional if you like it - not everyone is comfortable being on the ocean. Here is what a typical summer day looks like. About 1/3 of our guests purchase breakfast. On those mornings 7:30 am we're in the kitchen preparing breakfast. 8:45 - 9:30 serving breakfast to guests and interacting with Q&A a...

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

I have a house with a 0.25ha garden that is part of a larger community. We are about 10 mins drive, or an easy hitch, from Byron Bay (and all its tourist attractions); Brunswick or Mullumbimby and 2 mins from the beach. I`m always glad of help with my 1/4 ha - projects like building the vegie garden; trimming back the ever enroaching bush, or projects around the house. The arrangement is 2 hours in exchange for accommodation (14 hours a week), looking after your own food but sharing our kitchen. Gondwana, the larger community that Lotus Ponds is part of, is about 50 people with a community house and hall with weekly community dinner and meditations, yoga, table tennis & pool tables with levels of activity that depend on who is here. The people living at Lotus Ponds change more often than I update this ! But typically are inspired by some combination of Dance (5Rhythms, Open-Floor, Contact); Permaculture; Surfing; Osho; Personal Growth; Cooking; Music and Nature; in the rest of ...

Hello!! “Spring cleaning” time! Just in time for “winter”! Help with general maintenance, cleaning, organizing and clearing land and small construction projects in bamboo, wood and found objects. Outdoor shower. Water storage system. As the rainy season is coming, I will clear different areas to plant various crops, like popcorn, quinoa, guandule, etc. Greetings! (This is an opportunity for 1 (one) person only please;) 8 km north of Sámara near a small village (pop 250) called Esterones, my property sits on a hill in the jungle about 15 minute walk from that village. You will find a small supermarket, a restaurant, a cevicheria and a tiny hardware store(they don't have WIFI;). Walk a bit further and you will find 3 world class beaches. It's about an hour walk to Sámara. The closest bus stop is about 45min walk with only occasional service but ‘hitchhiking’ is perfectly normal mode of transportation here. This is a chance to get to know a special part of Costa Rica, I've been in love...

Situated on the edge of the Great Divide, we are surrounded by great views, Kangaroos, Wombats, Echidna and numerous bird species including wedge tail eagles, Rosella's and Kookaburras. Just an hour from Melbourne [less from the airport] we can arrange pick up. Our farm has Highland Cattle, Chooks and a large Vegie garden/orchard. While we have no urgent work requirements and the farm is only our hobby [we are semi retired ] there is always something to do, however we have no paid employment available and cannot add points for visa extension. We have a spare room with double bed or we can accommodate 2 x singles as well. The nearest public transport is 15 minute drive and we can drop people of most days as we go past the station nearly every day. Our current projects are house painting, wood cutting and gardening.

Must be physically fit to do this. Crewing on our boat is optional if you like it - not everyone is comfortable being on the ocean. Here is what a typical summer day looks like.
