Our program is focused on empowering kids and teens through education in rural areas in the Amazon forest of Peru. Come to share your skills and passion with the locals. It is a great opportunity to help the local communities and explore this magnificent area in Peru. You will be working with a local NGO helping in after-school activities for kids and teens. The impact that you can make is enormous: Most of the kids come from impoverished communities that are waiting for the chance to study and break the cycle of poverty. Helping in the day-to-day classes, empowering the kids, and assisting in developing programs and workshops are our main focuses. There are many ways that we could use your help: Teaching classes to the children (arts and crafts, sports, music, supporting our English teacher, supporting our math teacher, etc.) * Leading workshops for local teenagers (such as yoga, dance, health etc..) * Helping with administration and preparing teaching materials *Helping in s...

We are startíng a small guest house complex directly on the beach in Engabao, a fishing and surfing town located 15 km from Playas and 1 hour from Guayaquil. The guesthouse consists of furnished 1 and 2 bedroom suites with completely equipped kitchens and hot water. There is a pool and gazebo overlooking the ocean. At present help is mainly needed with construction, painting, landscaping and out door cleaning, while from Dec. to May there may be housekeeping, attending guests, and caring for plants. Helpers work for 4 hours a day with 2 days off midweek and live in one of the suites. They are responsible for preparing their own meals. There's plenty of time for lounging around the pool, enjoying the beach or surfing. We need people who can work without supervision and enjoy nature. We are on a beautiful out of the way beach which generally has tourists only on holidays.

Who are we ? Hello ! My name is Marlene, I live in a small coffee farm near Fusagasuga with my family: my husband Omar Ricardo, my son Joseph who is 16 years old, and my mother in law Modesta. We also live with our 2 dogs and 2 cats who are very friendly. I am a professor of middle school and I work half a day, except on weekends, but Omar Ricardo, Joseph and Modesta are always here in the farm. It's only been a year and a half since we have been living here in the country, as we were before living in Bogota and then Fusagasuga. That's why our farm still needs a lot of improvement :) About our farm : Our farm is in the middle of the country, at 25 minutes by car and 30 minutes by bus of Fusagasuga. The bus stop is at 10 min by feet and pases each half-our. Hello! We are Charlotte (USA) and Christian (Ecuador), and we have an Ecoculturual Finca outside of Santo Domingo de los Tsachilas, Ecuador. The Finca is about 8 hectares of hilly jungle, filled with cacao, banana, avocado, papaya, coffee, bamboo, sugar cane, and other tropical fruit trees. Christian started this project in 2012 to create a community of people who want to live consciously and in harmony with the natural world. We believe sustainability has an environmental component (we eat vegetarian, use composting toilets, minimize waste, use resources we have on the finca, etc), but that it also has a cultural component; infusing art, cultural exchange, genuine connection, music, inter-generational sharing, and creative problem solving into daily life is important to living sustainably! The hope is that by starting small, by living well on the finca, we can spread an environmental consciousness to our surrounding community, and hopefully beyond. Accommodations: Volunteers stay in ...

I am Richard, a surfer, surf instructor and surf guide from Peru, I have started an small surf company 10 years ago with a kombi bus, and now I upgraded it to a Mercedes Sprinter van, that I turned into a very large and comfortable camper, where besides giving surf lessons at the beaches of Lima, we love to prepare healthy food in company of Olita, my rescued pup. I speak fluent English and Russian, besides my native Spanish. If you interested in the surfing lifestyle, the van life and discover Lima and its surrounding beach towns, this is the best way. And if you a illustrator, communicator and or a graphic designer, I might need your help with an environmental sci-fi graphic novel I am working on too

Hello friends :) We are Sadí and Jacqi a couple from Perú and Germany. We live here with our little daughter Sami and Sadis brother Leo who has joined our project about a year ago. After several years of traveling, volunteering, helping out and learning in many beautiful projects & communities, we have settled down in the rainforest of Perú and are now happy to be able to receive volunteers ourselves :) About 3 three years ago, we bought this piece of land which includes about 56 hectares, in the region of Ucayali The area has suffered a lot from deforestation by the coca leaf production and cattle industry which left the soil very depleted due to the intense use of chemicals. the forests need our support (cutting vines preventing trees from growing, opening up the water ways of the rivers that are blocked by wood, vines and much more...) to be able to recover strongly and healthily. Our vision for this place is to help the local ecosystem to recover its natural balance, establish ...

I am currently living in a town called Cajabamba. I have a piece of land twenty minutes from it where I have tara and avocado fruit trees. I live a simple happy life being within nature and I feel very connected to it. I love animals and minimalistic living. I know this lovely area where I can take my guests for nice hikes and visits to nearby hotsprings. I am a Spanish-English teacher. I taught Spanish in Europe for four years and then I moved to the mountains in Peru in 2019. Presently I am teaching Spanish on line and English to kids here in the mountains.

Our project's goal is to work together, constructing an alternative way of life, different from that of our current consumerist society. We strive to create a more harmonious relationship with our environment, working the land in an organic way, rearing animals as naturally as possible, recycling and reusing, looking for new modern and healthy technologies that we can adapt to the field. To finance our project we host guests as a kind of rural tourism, tourists with who we share some of our activities. We also plan to implement an alternative education program for children. To make real that dream we need people to help us to do it. People with knowledge about bio-construction, permaculture, renewable energies, organic agriculture, carpentry, and cooking. Also, we are just looking for people with similar wishes, who want to teach and to learn how to live in a more healthy and sustainable way. We offer an independent room (single, twin or double). We also have a camping area near the r...

This is a traditional family-owned farm which, after years of abandonment, is currently being re-imagined as a sustainable and environmentally-conscious community. Located just 3km from the beach, where the Pampa plain meets the rugged coastline of the Argentinian Atlantic. We are passionate about agriculture, surfing, music, travel, nature and the environment, who want to create a communal space where people from around the world can come to learn about sustainable living and ecological ideals; share delicious organic food from the gardens; surf; tell stories; share knowledge, ideas, culture and language; learn about farming, the environment, or just relax and enjoy the farm and surrounds. The project is in its early stages and we are looking for energetic and responsible individuals wanting to experience and contribute to rural life and communal living close to nature. We are looking for self-motivated individuals to help us out with daily tasks such as helping in the kitchen, kee...

In order to promote a new way of life, another culture, that can remain (permaculture), its philosophy and its practice, this space offers the possibility of sharing among all through the exchange of knowledge and the lived experience in the daily activities that are developed. The purpose is twofold, on the one hand, to build this community space together and on the other to co-create in practice what a regenerative culture means in all its aspects. The affinity and integration of the volunteers with the project is very important, since we all want to have a very good and enjoyable experience with your visit. I am Nano, I live in Villa la Angostura, I studied engineering and for 15 years I have been working on social, cultural and environmental projects. I practice yoga and permaculture as a philosophy of life. This is not a volunteering like others where one exchanges work for a stay. We are Richie, Abigail and Zoe. A Swiss/British family of three. After five years of travel in our truck camper, we have decided to settle down in the heart of Mendoza, Argentina’s wine region. We are 30 minutes away from Mendoza central and are located in the Maipu region, a short bus ride to award winning Trivento vineyard and Laur olive oil factory. A micro brewery with excellent beers and burgers is within walking distance, just up the road. We are currently building a campsite for overlanders, tourists who travel overland with campers and tents. We are currently chopping down trees to make space for our campsite and building a car port for storage. Future plans involve building a wall for security and a sanitary block with showers and toilets. Those with particular experience in carpentry or bricklaying are most welcome. We are meat lovers, and love to grill for our guests, enjoying a great meal by the fireplace and under the stars. *Helpers will need to be comfortable with ...

Countryside, near Atlántida, Uruguay. We are a couple, not young, work in the city, and live on a small farm. Our farm is not a business, but just a quiet cozy place to live away from the bustle of the city. Our pets are the few horses and dogs from the shelter. We got them in poor condition, with damage (the previous owners mistreated them). We have helped our animals to recover and now they are fine. - Hosting and food free. Accommodation - sea refrigerated container converted into a house. It has a gas stove, shower, washing machine, kitchen, etc. We buy foodstuffs and you cook for yourself. - Benefits: health insurance for the long-stay helpers - Help needed: gardening, animal care, general maintenance, some small DIY projects, farmstay help - We can teach you how to work with horses and dogs, how to take care of the garden, composting and preparation of various soil mixtures, ecological farming, finishing work, carpentry, plumbing, work with electric and gasoline power tool...

🌿 Volunteer at Fruit Haven Ecovillage – A Sustainable Permaculture Community in the Amazon! 🌿 About Us We are a permaculture fruit forest project in southeast Ecuador, regenerating deforested land into a thriving eco-village, community, and productive fruit farm. Our goal is to transition from a fledgling project to a model of sustainable living and farming —inspiring other farms in the region to embrace permaculture and regenerative agriculture. We already produce papayas, many varieties of bananas, pineapples, yuca, jackfruit, marang, rollinia, black rasberries and a variety of exotic fruits, and we’re continuously expanding by planting dozens of rare fruit species from South America and beyond. In addition to sustainable agriculture, our community is a hub for fitness, arts, cultural exchange, and nature immersion. 🌍 What We Offer ✅ Free accommodation & access to organic fruit forests & communal meals 🍉🥑 (100% plant-based, no animal products) ✅ Solar-powered, off-grid livin...

We offer rural eco-lodging accommodation. We are located in the Golden Door of the Amazon Region in Colombia. Walking through the forest, feeling its freshness, being surprised by the greatness of its trees, large stones that frame unknown stories and constructions to remember the value of our ancestors. These are some of the value-added experiences that you will find at this place. Moreover, feel fascinated by our nature, the sound of the water together with the singing of birds and other species. This will make you understand the charm of our region. We are accepting helpers throughout the year. We need someone who helps us with some tasks such as regenerative tourism, growing vegetables, gardening, marketing, and other possible duties related to the country life. We full accommodation and food during the time in Florencia, Colombia. It is important that our helper has a good command of the English language.

We are creating a space to reconnect with the natural world around us by growing a tropical food forest. Call it a multi species-fruit forest center a micro community a self-healing space or simply a place to live more conscious heathy and happy life. Dont expect a typical permaculture farm. We live in simple and different way towards to an original and real experience that would make deeper sense.and would leave a positive message . We are learning to live more aware and in general respect for life and to share our ideas with other beautiful people who have a similar take on life. This family-like farm is situated where the misty mountains meet the Amazon. The project is made up of 2 pieces of land within 2 km of each other. The smaller one is located on the big Jatun Yacu river beach and has more than 1 hec. (2.5 acres) multi-species fruit forest and gardens with a wide variety of private rustic cabins, open air common spaces (also for rent!!). The upper land has 23 hec. (57 acres...

Hello, I am Ricardo, owner of this beautiful quinta located in Paso del Rey, near Buenos Aires. I am looking for a single person, male, interested in a cultural and work exchange. I offer comfortable and quiet accommodation in exchange for help with general maintenance tasks in the quinta, such as gardening, small repairs and outdoor cleaning. I am an open, friendly and proudly gay person, so I would like someone who values and respects diversity. I prefer someone who enjoys nature, is responsible and has a willingness to collaborate in a relaxed but organized environment. The accommodation includes a private room, access to common areas and a green environment, ideal to disconnect. We can also share meals and good times if you are interested. If you are interested, don't hesitate to contact me for more details, I look forward to meeting you and sharing this experience together! Our volunteers are individuals interested in experiencing Ecuadorian culture from within. They will meet many people and help them overcome their fear of using English as a useful skill. My goal is to create a cultural exchange environment where our students and volunteers can get to know each other and their respective cultures. Quito has many wonderful tourist sites for travelers to visit and enjoy. What I expect from a volunteer is assistance in my mission to help my students overcome their fear of speaking English. Typically, volunteers engage in one-on-one conversations with several students each day about their interests. Of course, they adapt to the level of my students, and through this, they form friendships and foster intercultural understanding.   What our volunteers can expect from us: a pleasant environment to work in at the institute. We are now seeking volunteers for around 20 hours per week, with a schedule to be discussed for mutual convenience. For this contributi...

TAKE A 1 OR 2 WEEK SPANISH COURSE WHILE VOLUNTEERING AT ORGANIC COFFEE FARM FINCA SAGRADO Hi there! We, Klara (Czech/Belgian), Agustin (Colombian) and our son Saila, are looking for nice human beings to join us on our coffee farm. We bought this farm 5 years ago because we fell in love with the land and thought this place would be amazing to raise our son. We didn't know anything about (coffee) farming at that point and kind of turned into coffee farmers overnight. After some years of hard work and a lot of learning we now have our own coffee brand Café Finca Sagrado Two years ago, we started offering coffee tours, chocolate workshops, accomodation for tourists, and a two week Spanish course. During this period, we couldn't receive volunteers because it was hard to manage both. In order to be able to offer our services, but also receive volunteers, we have combined the volunteering with the 1 or 2 week Spanish course. (We don't do volunteering without Spanish classes anymore!!!). We...

We are a small Ecuadorian NGO in Parroquia Tarqui, a tiny neighboring town of Puyo (Amazon region). As a group of four people (three are locals) we started our rescue project in 2019. We rescue dogs and cats, take care of them in a private shelter/home to support their healing and giving them the best chance to be adopted. It´s an important goal of our project to create awareness among the population of the importance to protect animals and to change the habit to keep animals without a proper care. As one of our members, Renato, is a veterinarian who runs a small clinic in Puyo we use this facility for spaying/neutering and other surgeries and treatments of the rescued dogs and cats. Apart from our dog shelter we also have two horses and are looking for experienced people to help us with their training. After years of renting we moved to our own property near Tarqui in 2023. It has been a huge improvement to own a lovely piece of land that gives us enough space not only to take care of...

Permaculture-Self sustainable Farm Living Caju. We won't be receiving volunteers for 2025. Thanks Caju. . We are learning and exchanging ideas about Permaculture and self sustainability. Our farm is situated in a Natural Reserve area called Bananal, located 18 Km away from the beaches of Perube - SP. Here we have begun our project. Using the idea behind observing and working with what is natural and unique to this landscape we are learning to grow local plants and fruit trees, as well as understand the forestation of the area, to best work with the land to support us and our animals. Currently we are growing orchards of multiple fruit trees, such as jack-fruit, papaya, starfruit, goiaba, bananas, coffee, cacao, and limes to name a few, as well as vegetables in our garden. We are using the concept of building green, by using local materials found on the land, such as different varieties of woods, bamboo and clay. We have switched most of our toilets over to the dry toilet system i...

We are about half an hour from the ocean and fifteen minutes from a pond. There's a small pond close to the house. We need tenacious people that can help us in a responsible way, cleaning up after work, not leaving tools or debris in the field, cleaning after meals and keeping a certain order. We are always open to suggestions and discussions, but we make the final decisions. There are main rutines that can be repetitious and extremely simple. Firing up the oven, gathering firewood, sorting trash and compost, picking manure, pine cones and needles, recycling, feeding cats and dogs, horse and chickens, watering vegetables, weeding and keeping kitchen/dining room clean after cooking. etc. We expect people to get involved in the things that need to be done. Some times there's a lot, some times less. It's okay to smoke outdoors as long as it doesn't ruin work, it isn't a fire danger and filters are not left on the floor. We have experimented growing many things with diverse luck. Now...

We are located in the mid of the Atlantic Rainforest about 120 km away from Rio deJaneiro city.  Our project started 13 years ago and building work is still going on but there is an end in sight, the vegetable garden and orchard are in good shape but need a caring hand all the time.  Our reforestation project is concluded; we planted 2500 native trees of the Atlantic Rainforest on a hill where cattle were grazing in the past. The concept includes MTB-trails in order to facilitate the planting and maintenance of the trees. Along the trails we planted plenty fruit trees. There is still work to do with the cycle trails in order to use them with a bike. There are several buildings where we live on our land. The kitchen is communitarian; we usually take turns for preparing the lunch. We cook vegetarian and try to use as much as possible what we can grow on our land. We have chickens, dogs and cats that live with us and we need a hand with them too. We can provide a room with private ...

I am Irene (in Australia at the moment), a retired vet and my husband, Greg a retired IT engineer. Our children are adults. We are building a self-sustaining little homestead, on a 1500m2 block, with ocean and mountain views, 2 cats and 4 dogs, all street rescues. We are in need of some enthusiastic and energetic people to help us. The goal is to be living a sustainable, self-sufficient life in a few years. We prefer people to stay for a month, but if you are hardworking we may consider 2 weeks too. You will be working 25hs / week. We are flexible with that, you can choose when you work. The days you work you get 3 meals a day (minimum 5hs). Snacks and alcohol at your expense. Your room will be available 24/7. The days you don't work, you can either eat somewhere else or pay for your food. (R$ 10 for breakfast or dinner/person and R$ 15 for the lunch hot meal/person). You need to tell Greg the day before.

UPDATE: Due to the rains that are occurring in the area, the volunteering offer, will be postponed until the dry season begins; approximately in June. I am very grateful to all the volunteers who have written to me showing their interest in helping. I am still a volunteer on helpx; but now i have a new adventure: I will be building a cottage in a nice and quiet location in the south of Perú.

Who are we ? Hello ! My name is Marlene, I live in a small coffee farm near Fusagasuga with my family: my husband Omar Ricardo, my son Joseph who is 16 years old, and my mother in law Modesta.

Translated with DeepL.com (free version) Hola, soy Ricardo, dueño de esta hermosa quinta ubica...

Cooking outside of our regular hs is not an option. In Brazil, the main hot me...
