Would you like to come and help us out? We are looking for helpers for the 2026 season, for the months of June and July. We now have a team for May, August and September. We are a cozy and comfortable oceanfront Guest House, with 5 guest bedrooms, overlooking a scenic bay in our tiny community (300 residents) called Sandspit, or K'il Kun, on Haida Gwaii, a remote archipelago on the northern coast of BC. Helpers have a private room, meals catered for, and communal dinners. Bikes are available for exploration of the surroundings, and I will usually take helpers out on local adventures (boating, fishing, camping, hiking, etc.) Work is usually general help for day to day operation of the Guesthouse during the summer Season, May to September (housekeeping, gardening, etc.), and general maintenance, gardening, construction etc. during the shoulder and off-season. Located on headlands of the Oregon coast, north of the Coquille River in Coos County, we are a learning environment where land based life skills anchor science, literacy, inquiry, and art. We are licensed school teachers, work in the schools and offer educational and technical services to generate income. We try for a way of living that honors the rhythms of nature and the dignity of meaningful work. Our aim is to develop a home where responsibility, creativity, and stewardship guide action. By reusing what we have, conserving what we need, and growing our food, we nurture a lifestyle that learns from the land and contributes to its renewal. In doing so, we hope to find a balance between comfort, health, and our use of products and resources. You are a guest here and we usually have dinner and/or lunch together. You will have a private room but use the family kitchen and bathroom. The big project this year is building an 8 feet by 24 feet greenhouse using recycled windows and glass....

This is an exciting opportunity to have an experience that will stay with you throughout your life. Our Foundation aims at helping rural children receive a qualitative outstanding education. We have a volunteer teaching program to assist rural teachers and children get exposure to foreign languages and cultures. Because English is the second language in Thai schools, we concentrate on improving the English language skills of both rural teachers and children. At present, we aim to help 4 public elementary schools (grades 1 - 6) close to Chiang Mai. We are currently taking applications for volunteers who would available to start sometime between now and the end of June and commit to at least 8 weeks . We are looking for volunteers to teach English only. Couples are welcome as well. NOTE: We do not charge volunteers any fees for staying with us. The generous gift of your time and dedication is all the donation we will ask of you. We provide the volunteers lodging and meals in retu...

=============== Update June 1, 2026. We have space for one person starting June 15. And maybe a space starting July 13. =============== Spaces that may be available are: a small loft room that is accessible by a short ladder, or a loft bed above our yoga room. And sometimes other bedrooms when people go away. Top skills we are looking for right now: - Cooking/cleaning - indoor plants and sprouts. - Help with renovation projects (finishing a basement bathroom.) Note: We don't always book people many months in advance, we prefer to wait until closer to the start dates so we can see how much space we have. Some people here stay longer than they initially planned so we don't always know the timing of openings long in advance. If you would like to help, please let us know your range of availability and preferred length of stay. We are an 11-person vegetarian community house in Toronto. My name is Steve and living here is also Jeff (from Hong Kong), Luke (from Canada/Africa), Swetha ...

I live on a small farm in the suburbs of Okayama city. I would like help around the farm, as well as other tasks. My english is not so good but I would like to meet helpers who enjoy sharing their culture and experiences, and I can share some of my life and community events with you. I like to learn simple recipes from other countries, sometimes go hiking, meditating in the zen temple, attending an english conversation bar. I live alone, my mother's house is next door. I really want to make friends and meet enthusiastic people, I don't want my helpx to just be a business, exchange food and rent for work, I would like to exchange cultures and share time together. I want to meet travellers who want to learn about Japanese lifestyle and maybe see something different to what you would see on the tourist trail. The work is not easy, some days it will vary hard, sometimes we work a full day, sometimes only half. The lifestyle is quiet and peaceful. Our accommodation ws set up by the vo...

Welcome! Our family owned and operated certified organic livestock farm in North Central British Columbia is excited to have you stay and become a part of everything we have going on. We’ve been operating since 2008, primarily raising Berkshire pigs, Dexter cattle, Katahdin sheep, laying hens, broiler chickens and of course bronze breasted turkeys for thanksgiving and Christmas. On top of that, we’re home to two Labrador retrievers (Ned and Nelly), 3 outdoor cats, 2 guard alpacas and a family of Muscovy ducks. In other words, you will never find yourself not in the company of animals! Aside from livestock, we have recently built a small farm store / café that cooks the meat raised on the farm. We also take pride in creating all recipes from scratch, from the sauces to the buns of the burgers. Currently only operating during the summer months, 3 days per week. It’s been a lot of work, but a great way to get more people out to the farm, eating good food and connecting with the community...

Student Accommodation and Digital Music Studio in Oxford - Hi there - I have 2 houses where I provide accommodation for international students - I have 1 or 2 students in each house for long lets and often couch-surfers for 1/2 nights - Oxford is a great international and multi-cultural study centre and its easy to feel at home in this city. The students and professionals who live with me are normally University students at all levels - They are usually independent and busy with their studies/research - so this is not like a hostel - but they are happy to have a coffee and chat when they are around. For Helpers - I accept students and workers and international travellers - those who are looking for a change of lifestyle whether just for a few weeks or as part of a longer term adventure in international travel. Here I need a helper to assist me in both houses in basic house-keeping duties - cleaning, some house repairs, gardening, food preparation, etc. In connection with the stu...

I’m Sophie from the U.K and I run a stunning, small, Art Nouveau boutique hotel which is my partner’s family home. We converted his family home into a small hotel 20 years ago. Lluis, my husband, is now retired and I need a helping hand. We are friendly, helpful and multilingual (English, French, German, Spanish and Catalan) The house was built in 1906 and is a listed building surrounded by beautiful centenary gardens. We are in a little village in the foothills of the Pyrenees in the beautiful region of La Garrotxa, land of volcanoes, waterfalls, forests and ancient ruined castles. We’re right next to the Via Verde (old railway track now a cycling and walking track) and are at walking distance to some spectacular waterfalls and good wild swimming in the summer. There are buses from the village to Olot, Girona and Barcelona. We're 40 minutes from Girona , an hour and 20 mins form Barcelona, an hour from the Costa Brava We have a small one-room wooden hut and a small, basic kitchen ne...

Hi! We are a young couple, 25 and 26 years old, living on a sheep farm in the beautiful Reykhólasveit area in Westfjords Iceland. We have 450 sheep, 3 dogs, and 3 cats. We also take care of an eider duck colony. During the summer, the colony needs to be checked twice, and the eiderdown has to be collected, weighed, and taken for cleaning. A typical winter day involves feeding the sheep and making sure everything is running smoothly. There are always plenty of tasks to be done, both planned and unexpected. Spring is lambing season, which means we're on call 24/7. Tasks include monitoring the sheep, assisting with births when needed, cleaning, bottle-feeding lambs, tagging them, and eventually turning them out to pasture. You don't need to know how to do everything—we're happy to teach. What matters most is a genuine interest and a willingness to learn. Summer is haymaking season, along with a variety of general farm tasks and maintenance work. In the fall, the sheep are gathered fr...

Come and stay with us at our busy horse-riding holiday business in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park (Bannau Brycheiniog). If you like horses and people, you’ll feel right at home here. We host small groups of lovely guests who come for trail riding holidays. We live in a traditional Welsh longhouse, cook for our guests, and care for a beautiful herd of horses. We also have young horses and foals. Volunteers have their own bedroom on the staff side of the house, usually sharing the area with a couple of other staff members. Work can include mucking out, grooming horses, sweeping the yard, collecting eggs, cleaning the chicken coop, sweeping paths, laying tables for guests, and helping clear away after dinner (we do have a housekeeper too). There is always plenty to do, and you can get stuck in as much as you like — you definitely won’t be bored! This would suit hard-working, enthusiastic people who enjoy both horses and meeting people. There is lots of riding available...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. A room is available for your homestay. Because of the help I would like to ask, mature ladies who have enough experience/knowledge of handling house holding chores and cooking are welcome. No problem if you cannot cook Japanese dishes. Vegetarian is welcome only from summer to autumn. It's easy to talk about next step of your homestay if how long from when, how you can help, what you want to do during homestay in addition to help works are written in your request. I will reply to only applicants who read my profile and understand/satisfy requirements. I'm a 67 years old male living alone and have a small private organic vegetable garden. I am happy if someone can help me to maintain vegetable garden and household chores including cooking. I also can enjoy helping my guest to learn Japanese language. We can visit at sightseeing places/aesthetic landscape when we have free time. At the same time, I'm interested to hear your stories about helpx and learn foreign languages as well ...

Good morning;. My current helper who has been here just over 3 years [yes years],moved . He works in town full time, stayed here for free and helped with chores. I really need the help. He has been wonderful but needs a change. I need anyone short or long term. I do need someone for the winter months for sure. I have had 2 really great helpers already this spring. Not as much to do as most years. Painting will have to get done this year. That is outside on the little buildings. 2 barn doors need repairs. Please respond when I send an invitation. I wait and wait and so many do not reply. Thank you to those who do. Due to my health, i have gotten behind.. I hope to see many more new friends in 2026. If you have not been to Saskatchewan, You are missing sheer beauty and so many things to see and do. I would really like to connect with a carpenter to construct a 3 season room .I have the windows and shingles or tin. I have a lot of the other items too. Just not the health to do it myself....

Distillery and farm located in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. Surrounded by wildlife, rivers, lochs (lakes) and mountains. A truly special place if you love nature and the great outdoors. Ebikes for you to explore the local area and mountain trails. Plenty of varied and interesting help tasks from help with housekeeping and foraging, to various DIY projects and help around the properties. You would have your own accomodation, a beautiful small and very comfortable cottage with wood burning stove and no need to share accomodation with others. Strong wifi etc.. This is an area steeped in history from over the last 3,000 years when the Pictish kings lived in the glen in a fort that still stands here to this day, through a rich history in the 1700s through to present day. We have a loch for fishing and would be very keen to show you the distilling process and for you to join us on hikes and other local adventures and explorations. Howdy ! Come help to renovate an incredible cabin that was originally built as a log cabin in 1850! No experience necessary, only and openness and willingness to work and learn. I'm open to volunteers for just a couple days, a week or more. LOCATION: The cabin is in the forest on the top of a small mountain overlooking a peaceful lake on the outskirts of the town of Calumet (just a 10 min walk away). Best of all is that the property borders on 300 acres of public forest land with lots of trails for biking, hiking and exploring nature (Swedetown Recreation Area). A ride down a 30 minuet mountain bike trail and your on the shore of Lake Superior! Only 5 minutes to the big lake beach if your driving ! CALUMET is a lovely town and a main tourist destination for the U.P. Michigan (Keweenaw Peninsula). Check it out online. It has a wonderful farmer's marker every Saturday, some good coffee shops, restaurants, an active performance theater, music events and more. Everything is accessibl...

We invite you to volunteer and participate in creating a unique experience with us this summer. We organise, build and run a unique, tented, sustainable venue - a temporary outdoor eco-village in the West of England. We’re looking for people who like working hard, having fun, and being part of a community to get involved. Every summer since 1990, our trustees (all volunteers) and many other volunteers from all walks of life come together and create something truly inspiring! We are a temporary venue reflected by the three main phases of our season. The most diverse range of activities and greatest need for volunteers are during the setup and takedown of the site, but of course we also rely on our team of volunteers for the running of the events! You will be supported and encouraged to be involved in whatever you feel most comfortable doing, and we always appreciate new ideas and feedback - we are all about learning, participation, and celebration of individuals and community. It looks like we are full until at least mid July but you are still welcomed to make inquiries about future dates. We appreciate help with DIY construction, repairs and maintenance, timber work, boat work, metal work repairs to trailers and for help with gardening, housekeeing, cooking, duck and chicken rearing and dog walking on the beach. Fishing, snorkelling, and rainforest walks can help occupy your spare time. We are looking for reasonably good DIY handymen and women, capable of working effectively, when necessary, on your own or as a pair and, ideally, someone who also has some gardening experience, but that is not really necessary, learn on the job! 😉👍. So you need to be a "morning person" who is happy to start work at 07.00 hr, at least five mornings a week, not a night-owl. This is to avoid the heat of the afternoons at this time of year, mornings ca n be beautiful. Much of the work will be outside, based out of a well-equipped, air-conditioned, woodworking worksho...

Hello to you, travelers and curious souls 🌿 We are a small family full of energy and projects: Fabrice, Marion, and little Lucas (20 months old). We live in an old Bresse farmhouse in the Ain department, near the Jura mountains, surrounded by fields, forests, and lakes (the nearest are just 15 minutes away). The farm is located in a quiet, private setting, in the heart of 3.5 hectares of land. It's a place conducive to nature, creativity, and encounters. We are improving this farm to make it a warm, creative, and open place for sharing. This project is above all personal, driven by the pleasure of sharing and creating a welcoming place for our family, friends, and visitors. Specifically, we are improving: • The exterior (woodland, garden area, paths, plantings, etc.) • A former barn that we dream of transforming into a space for expression (music, concerts with friends, small-group celebrations), • And the space near our installed geodesic dome, used as a space for relaxation, obse...

The region is beautiful and ideal for hiking, surfing (excellent spots all around our house), paddleboarding, etc. We can accommodate one or two people who would help us with a whole host of different tasks such as: - working together in the garden, - clearing the land, - weeding, - helping us build a gate, - installing the fences on our land, - building a mobile chicken coop, - building the composting area, - preparing and storing firewood, - doing some painting, - preparing meals together, - helping with supplies, etc. This list is not exhaustive; we adapt as the situation changes. There is always something to do around the house. We're looking for help 4 hours a day, 6 days a week, Monday to Saturday. Accommodation and meals are provided, except on Sundays when meals are at your expense, allowing us to spend time with family and allowing you to explore our...

PLEASE NOTE WELL: we absolutely cannot host anyone with any pre-existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions), such as hay fever, any other allergies, sensitivities or intolerances. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our do...

I'm open to volunteers for just a couple days, a week or more. A ride down a 30 minuet mountain bike trail and your on the shore of Lake Superior! Only 5 minutes to the big lake beach if your driving !
