My friend bought this beautiful old farm in Bjarnarfjordur witch is in the west fjords of Iceland And the westfjords were selected as top destination in the world by Lonely Planet for 2022 No one has lived there for the last 20 years so there’s plenty of things to do Mainly it’s taking care of the eiderducks (put up flags and scarecrows to keep the artic fox and seagulls away from the area) The eider nests on small islands close to the farm so we will need to take a boat or a kayak and row to the islands After the nesting season we pick up the down that they left in the nest And another thing is feeding the rainbow trout that we will be farming in tanks on land Also we have to paint and fix the old house We have our own geothermal hole that produces lots of hot water Even though it’s seems remote it’s only 35km to the next town Hòlmavík where there’s a supermarket, bank and basically everything you need From June to October we are doing whale watching trips from Hólmavík and mo...

A lively, friendly surf-centric accommodation just a short stroll from Selong Belanak Beach. It’s not a big party hostel, but it does have that relaxed, social surf vibes that many backpackers and nomads love — think comfy mixed dorms, cool communal spaces, and a terrace where you can compare surf stories after a session. It’s a great base for beginner-friendly waves and connecting with other travellers

Hi there. Thank you for reaching out and considering this opportunity. We are currently looking for an active individual or individuals to help us with walking our two dogs while we are at work. Additionally, we would need someone to take care of our home and pets when we are away. As part of our family, you would be welcome to share meals with us. Some light housekeeping tasks may be requested, primarily related to daily routines during your stay, such as setting the table, emptying the dishwasher, and vacuuming the floors. Our work hours have changed and we feel that we are not giving our animals enough time, so we are looking for people that enjoy the outdoors and nature and would be willing to help with the animals. Also we need to have a steady presence for the dogs. ( although there would be enough free time, to explore the environment and undertake other activities.) Must be comfortable with large dogs, as they are really big and fluffy. We also have an older cat, who needs...

We are restoring an old traditional Béarnaise house located at the foot of the Pyrenees in the Ouzom valley. We want to share it with people who can help us with the garden as well as with the house to maintain or restore it. Assistance activities concern the maintenance or restoration of buildings (lime plaster, carpentry, plumbing, electricity, etc), maintenance of the garden (brush clearing) and its vegetable garden, whether it is windy or raining, depending on the projects in progress and the skills of each. Slug hunting to be planned every evening at nightfall. Once a week a complete cleaning of the premises will be carried out by all. We ask for 5 hours help a day, 5 days a week. We offer accommodation in a large 4-bed dormitory. Please, bring your work gloves and clothes , if you have any. Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to routburn and greenstone tracks.you will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. ,a bit isolated, not for the precious,no trophy hunters !! .please don`t apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only.we do not get involved with internships or visa applications.vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers ! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar ( badly ) and sing ( worse ) ,but it's all about smile not style :-) Cheers Al

PLEASE, READ ALL OUR PRESENTATION, BECAUSE WHEN YOU'LL WRITE US, I'LL ASSUME THAT YOU'LL ALREADY THEM. We are a family of 5 : Laura (mum), Stefano (dad), and 3 children Mattia (22), Adele (19), Tea (15). We live in the beautiful hills above Pietrasanta among the olive groves and 20 minutes from the beaches of Versilia. The nearest train station is 3.5km away. We believe in a world, where we can live in harmony with the environment, which surrounds us, with its animals (domestic and wild) and its resources. Although in our home, we have all necessary comforts, we are careful to conserve energy and resources (and in effect to live truly "economically"). We produce electric needs from solar panels; in winter we heat living space with a wood burning oven (the bedrooms are not warm, but we have thick quilts!); we use water carefully, and we collect rainwater to irrigate our garden. We eat simple food. We aren't vegetarian, but we only rarely consume meat. We try to produce most of what w...

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. We are the best of friends who live together and run a 24-hour restaurant in Oneonta, New York. We built our Deli with our own hands, using old rustic barn wood and other recycled materials. We love working together to serve good, wholesome food in a warm, encouraging environment — a haven from the storms of life. Our community is part of a worldwide network of communities, many of which also run restaurants, organic farms, and cottage industries where volunteers are also welcome to live and work with us. We all work together in our houses and at our Deli. There is a lot to do in maintaining a community. We have two large houses where we live and the Deli always needs constant care and attention. We enjoy having guests and volunteers who want to get to know us by living and working with us. We gather together every morning (at 7am) and evening (at 6pm) to express whatever is on our hearts. We sing a wide variety of songs we've written and we dance there to express our joy. We give...

We are a small-scale, organic vegetable farm in Palmer, Alaska. We grow an array of beautiful produce which includes carrots, tomatoes, strawberries, zucchini, brussel sprouts, romanesco, broccoli, potatoes, rhubarb, onions, beets, and many more. All of the vegetables we sell at local farmers markets are grown by us and are free of pesticides, GMOs, and chemicals. We not only believe that people should feel connected to their food, but we also feel that it should be delicious, healthy, and accessible. Work on the farm varies by season. In the Spring we spend our time prepping the field, sewing seeds, growing transplants, cultivating those seeds in the field, weeding, and watering. As we move into summer and fall helpers will have the opportunity to harvest and sell the fruits and vegetables that have been growing the past few months at the local farmers’ markets.

Hello all! We are still looking for a volunteer for May, August and September to help with the gardens and the changeovers. Please drop us a note if you would be interested in coming to us in Normandy. We are an bilingual French-English household composed of Hilary, a teacher, and Patrick, who live near the seacoast in the midst of the D-Day landing beaches in Normandy on an old dairy farm with our son, a farmer. We've renovated the farm buildings and have created self-catering lettings. We have a poly-tunnel and a large vegetable garden, fruit trees, some chickens and geese, and currently a dog and a cat. We enjoy working outside and we try to live from our garden as much as possible. We are happy to help with learning French or English. As a helper, you will be treated as part of the family, taking your meals with us. We love to exchange stories and have a laugh. Depending on circumstances, either you'll be housed in our house in your own room with a shared bathroom, or you'll ...

Would you like to assist me in developing a horticulture project from scratch? Situated at Garden Island Creek, south east of Cygnet and close to the sea on a recently acquired 12 acre rural block that contains no identifiable edible plants I intend to start a kitchen garden, grow food plants in what previously was a horse paddock and to keep poultry. The nearest doctor, shops, bus stop, post office, bank, garage, library, pharmacist, laundrette, hotel, cafe are 14 km away at Cygnet from where i can collect you if you do not have your own transport. Nearby there are some quiet roads (not the Channel Highway) for walking, jogging, and cycling and the sea for swimming, canoing and fishing. I have bicycles and canoes for your use. If you wish to take days off to explore beyond the local area then I can take you to Cygnet or, depending on my schedules, elsewhere. I am widowed, retired and living alone. My daughter is in Glenorchy. You will be living in my house in your own bedroom and...

My home is tucked into the peaceful lakeside community of Lake Ōkāreka, surrounded by native bush, birdsong, and some of the most beautiful walking tracks in the Rotorua region. It’s a calm, welcoming space with easy access to the lake for swimming, paddleboarding, and sunrise or sunset strolls. Guests often say the mix of nature, quiet, and friendly local energy makes it an ideal place to unwind while still feeling connected. I have a spare room with a double bed and a single mattress under the stairs (Harry Potter vibes). I’m looking for easy‑going, respectful guests who are happy to contribute 1 to 2 hours per day to gardening, conversation work, or light cleaning in exchange for accommodation. Nothing too intense, just the kind of tasks that help keep the place tidy and the garden thriving. If I'm not working, I help out. I'm involved with a local conservation group, working to remove invasive trees and plants to protect our native bush. If you’re curious about ecological restora...

Permaculture Nursery looking for helpers starting April 18th through October, 2026. Hello!  We're a permaculture plant nursery specializing in rare perennial vegetables and salad greens, along with berry bushes, fruit and nut trees and multi-purpose plants.  We sell plants that we grow from seeds, cuttings and divisions.  We also host workshops on edible landscape design, and give tasting tours of our demonstration gardens.  We're looking for 1 or 2 Wwoofers starting July 6th (or thereabouts) for help with potting up plants, planting gardens, weeding, watering plants and mulching gardens (among other exciting tasks!).  We're building a farm by hand: there are no machines in use (besides an electric lawn mower).  We're passionate about sustainable living and have extensive experience designing food forests and tinkering with various appropriate technologies.  You'd have a private room in a newly renovated old farmhouse, with shared access to the kitchen, living room & bathroom. We also...

Hello! I am looking for help in the house and garden in April/May/June 2026. I am due to have an operation in May and would like someone here just to help and keep an eye on me whilst I recover. My home is a cottage in a rural situation on the northern edge of the beautiful Black Mountains in Herefordshire. I am in my late 70's (I like to think I have a more youthful outlook!) and would welcome help with jobs such as mowing, weeding, general garden maintenance etc - which I keep all pretty simple. In the house some easy housework and help with food preparation, laundry etc - again all simple. If the weather is bad then a bit of simple decorating. I welcome people with some practical experience who are fit and strong and have some degree of independence. I have a nice comfortable bedroom for helpers, or you could camp, we share making simple homemade food. This is a beautiful, peaceful, unspoilt quiet countryside setting with superb walks, 8 miles east of the small market t...

We are a spiritual community close to Witzenhausen, Germany. Currently, 70 people live here, either alone, in shared apartments, as a couple or within a family. The concept is an open community based on meditation and mindfulness in order to encourage a new way of living. The former farm estate - now community and retreat center - has wonderful natural gardens and is embedded in a quiet and romantic hilly landscape. The open minded nature of our community creates a friendly atmosphere that is especially attractive to groups that are focused on body therapy, creativity and inner growth. Musical concerts, biannual festivals as well as our meditation retreats are all open to the general public. The retreat center was established in 1984. Thus the house offers workplaces and supports the further expansion of the residential spaces in the community. Regular get-to-know-weekends ("Kennenlern-Wochenenden") help to establish contact between community members and guests. As a volunteer you wil...

Everyone must be autonomous and responsible enough to know how to clean and store the tools or things they have used, as well as to participate daily, outside helping time, in all the househo...

We have horses, sheep, goats, hens, geese, ducks, dogs, cats, a pig and a donkey, all rescued from bad situations and now living out their days in peace and comfort with us. We are looking for someone to help with the daily tasks, mostly cleaning up the fields and stables, and walking and playing with some of our dogs. Accommodation and self-prepared meals offered in return for help with taking care of rescue animals. We ask for a minimum stay of four weeks, and even longer would be better! Our last volunteer came for three months and stayed for six! Approximately 25 -30 hours per week of help will be required. Vegetarian food supplied. Accommodation is in a modern mobile home, two bedrooms, one bathroom with shower and toilet, living room and kitchen. Situated in a rural location in Co. Kildare, with spectacular views of the Wicklow mountains. A small village is about 5 kilomet...

There are 4 family members in our family. Me, my wife (dika), son (suman) and a daughter (sudha). The village is located around 600km from Kathmandu with an altitude of 2225 mt.

I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

Hawaii Beach Project: This is a construction project that believes in creating positive change by using sustainable methods and newly invented building materials and procedures. Our project has been underway for over a decade and through the process we have had the opportunity to present a transformative experience for individuals who want to work on not only bringing the building and environment to a higher place, but to also bring themselves to a higher place. We provide and encourage all who come to volunteer to participate in meditation groups and seminars, yoga practices, healthy eating options (all of the food here is provided for you!), and make strong and lasting relationships with everyone who lives here!
