Purpose built oceanfront B&B with 3 private self-contained studio suites on the 2nd floor of our home which is on the first floor. We are rated highly on TripAdvisor. Enjoy canoeing, kayaking, biking & hiking at our waterfront B&B. You'll have your own private room. If you have a valid drivers license, and are staying for at least 2 months you may use one of our cars. This requires a discussion, and is on a case by case basis. April through October (Summer) Cleaning rooms. gardening, yard work, helping around the B&B with all aspects of running a home-based business including serving breakfast. Must be physically fit to do this. Crewing on our boat is optional if you like it - not everyone is comfortable being on the ocean. Here is what a typical summer day looks like. About 1/3 of our guests purchase breakfast. On those mornings 7:30 am we're in the kitchen preparing breakfast. 8:45 - 9:30 serving breakfast to guests and interacting with Q&A and booking a few excursions. On days w...

We are looking for two types of helpers: firstly a good wood worker / carpenter / DIY handyman/woman capable of working effectively on your own or as a pair. Most of the work is outside but based out of a well-equipped, airconditioned, woodworking workshop. Secondly we are looking for someone to help with housekeeping and cooking and gardening. Plenty of opportunities on your day off, if you have interests in fishing, sailing, snorkeling, weather permitting of course. We are establishing a modest permaculture garden with heritage breed chickens and a range or of tropical fruit, vegetables and herbs. We have recently started making and using biochar, rearing soldier-fly larvae for chickens, starting oyster mushroom growing and are starting to grow various high-nutritional-value microgreens. We live next to a very quet sandy, tropical beach (tide line 135 metres from the door) in the small rural community of Wonga Beach, 90 minutes north of Cairns. We are keen on wildlife phot...

My name is Edison I have a wife, her name is Nofi. I also have two children, Ochta (32 years old) and Fadlil (12 years old). Ochta can speak English. I run a private English school for children between the ages of 7 and 19 in the small town of Batusangkar, West Sumatra. My goal as the principal of the school is to provide youth from my region with the English skills required to communicate better in the modern world, and therefore provide them with better opportunities in their lives. I would like to welcome any fluent English speakers under the age of thirty to assist my teachers in the classroom. You would help immensely by having simple conversations with the students and providing them a real English speaking experience inside or outside the classroom. All the students are very welcoming and curious about my visitors, and I am certain that you will have a great experience while interacting with them. You can expect to answer all their questions, pose for pictures, and be invited...

After 16 years, and hosting almost 100 HelpXers, at our property in Larnook, in the Northern Rivers region, Steve and I have moved to a new place in Tenterfield, at the northern end of the New England Tableland. All of our reviews up until September 2024, are related to our previous place. We are now ready to accept HelpXers at our new place. Steve and I are a gay couple and we offer a high quality experience (as you can see from our reviews) and so we expect our Helpers to pitch in and help. The more you put into your time here at Tenterfield, the more you will get out of it. We have lots of small work jobs at present including lots of weeding and gardening, mowing, establishing herb and vege gardens, pruning and cutting back and some other work. Our property is situated a few kilometers west of the town of Tenterfield, in a quiet, rural area. We usually expect around 4 hours per day of work in exchange for all meals, your own room, access to internet (for checking emails, looki...

Our small home and sleep out is located in urban Hokitika on the West Coast of the South Island. There is a lot to explore in this beautiful and lush part of the country. We grow as much food as we can in our garden and small green house. We have a second property nearby that we are slowly working away at in order to make more space for growing food. My partner is really inspired by the work of horticulturalist Charles Dowding and we practice his no dig and organic soil management teachings. My partner and I have a preschooler who is the delight of our days. We prioritize time with her and each only work 2-3 days per week. My partner is a carpenter and has recently finished building a spacious sleepout for our visitors. I am a midwife and work both in our community and at the hospital. Visiting with us looks like sharing delicious meals either at home or at the beach or lake as we enjoy taking meals outside. We will sometimes cook on the beach while my partner surf casts for kahawai ...

Welcome! We are Jacob & Fern. We live together with our 2 year old daughter on our small, off grid and very humble farmlet in Guildford, Central Victoria. Guildford is home to one of Victoria's largest river red gums. It is over 500 years old. It's a very small town with only a general store, primary school & pub, half way between Castlemaine & Daylesford. We have been on this land for 1 and a half years & have started using permaculture principals & design. So far, we have completed the fence line, (to keep the rabbits out) & joyously have begun some planting both in the food forest, cottage garden & in the veggie patch. We always have seeds growing in our tiny greenhouse. Fern has a background in florist & plant nursery work and has completed a PDC. Currently a full time Mama, her interest lie in walking softly on this earth, while the little one loves watching the abundant birdlife in our vast open skies! Jacob works as a gardener, is interested in spirituality, and enjoys strummin...

We grow organic table grapes, a few fruit trees, chickens and a few pigs. This is a real farm experience, mostly working in the vineyard, with some fun too. There is biking to town, swimming in the ocean or our lake, fishing, basketball, volleyball, hiking, nature walks, beach strolling and look for fossils at Blue Beach, camp fires , rope swing in our little lake, take in the fantastic views, sunsets, star gazing, internet, phone and go to nearby towns such as Wolfville and Hantsport as well as the rest of the Annapolis Valley with the local bus. The accommodations and kitchen are separate for helpers cooking with an abundance of food. This is a more independent farm stay. Hope you can make it here.

The permaculture project and the Farm develop in the social, historical and urban fabric of the town of Modica (RG), mainly between the Fontana, Dente and Pennino districts. We actively collaborate with other projects in the province, from which we learn a lot. We live a sober, frugal, healthy life. We follow, in a somewhat radical way, the ethics of Permaculture and many of its principles. After a period of training in horticulture and spiritual reconnection in the Loire in a Sƍtƍ Zen temple, a PDC at Il Filo di Paglia (Comiso) and two years of agricultural experiences of the most varied in south-eastern Sicily, we feel ready to open ourselves to volunteers , willing and passionate who want to live, share and exchange within in this vibrant and beautiful setting. The Mediterranean Sea is just 20 minutes by train (Sampieri train station). We've got a 17th century house for the project (Oct. 2022), quite abandoned for more than one year: Plenty of work has been already done, some mino...

We are a family of four living on a lifestyle block in the beautiful Wairarapa, with the entrance to the Tararua Forest park just up the road. There you will find some great tramping, walking, mountain biking and a cool swing bridge across the river and a great swimming hole during summer. On our block we have a small herd of cattle and some sheep along side many birds living in the local landscape. This winter we need help mainly with firewood, gardening, riparian planting and general help for an average of four hours a day in exchange for food and accommodation. The accommodation best suits a couple. We are 15 mins drive from Greytown and Carterton. Non-smokers only please. Please let us know if you have any special food requirements or allergies which might need to be considered during your stay.

We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week. Our preference is for a single person or couple who have some skil...

Tēnā koutou, We are a French/Algerian/Kiwi family. We moved to the North of the South Island (Te Wai Pounamou) in 2023 and live on a four hectare property where there is lots to be done. Mathew is into agroecology, permaculture and conservation. He has experience running workshops and leading work groups. Rym is interested in Indigenous knowledge, community development and the disruption of the current economic system. We speak French and English at home. You would learn about the NZ rural lifestyle, agroecology and permaculture techniques, food conservation, pest control, and probably lots more. There are a range of tasks to be done, mainly gardening, fencing work, animal care (chickens and sheep) and fire wood cutting/stacking/moving. Possibly some small renovation tasks for those with the right skills. Tasks will depend on the season and what travellers are comfortable doing, as well as what they want to learn. An awesome 2 bedroom settlers cottage, which was built in the 1860s. It ...

Happy to host individuals or couples or can make arrangements if you are travelling as a small group of friends (or a family) - just let me know! I love Wellington...and the south coast is full of nature. Local walking track nearby and 2km down hill to the local beaches (good for surfing - and a beautiful view for walks, running or cycling) and marine reserve (good for swimming/ snorkeling) and the same distance in the other direction to local bars/ shops or 5km to Courtenay place / Cuba street (Wellington CBD) or Airport. Choice of 2 bus stops close by (bus services 23, 29) or a downhill walk to Newtown, Island Bay or Lyall Bay. Happy to share more tips on where to go to see the best of Wellington based on your preferences and interests. It's also a great base for a daytrip to Martinborough if you like wine / visiting wineries...or kapiti island if you like birds. On street parking (free) available if you have a car or campervan. 2 cats live here. Sadly, the chickens have recent...

Jan & Marian, a Dutch couple in their 60sh, opened their (first and still only in NZ) Green-Care-Farm for day visitors living with mild dementia. Both of them are having a nursing background. They offer people living with with mild dementia happy days by using their long learned life skills to feel included and valued and respected. They are part of the Home4All family and together they 'work' in the garden or the workshop or the kitchen or looking after the animals. Therefore their family and carers can have a good time-out-day with peace of mind. We are a registered charity which is currently functioning with the help of a committed team of volunteers and a superb supportive board. They always need help with gardening and maintenance and animal care. If you have special great skills in IT, film making / photography or else we might like to use your skills. HelpX volunteers are not responsible for the support of our day visitors but basically they are there for Jan and Marian to t...

The work will involve using ladders, sanding and painting plus putting up the new plastic film. All your meals are provided and we eat together. We are happy to pick you up from the Northcliffe Museum Car park if you are traveling by bus. Length of stay is negotiable but we prefer at least a WEEK. The food is tasty VEGETARIAN and we are happy to cater for vegans. Your accommodation is in a comfortable converted shipping container/tiny home with a wood fire to keep you warm and cosy. Hey, hello you ! We are Caro and Chris, Zion and Kiara. We were travelling around the world since a gorgeous time until all this virus craziness happened. Caro, then Chris & Caro were backpacking, doing hitchhiking, etc... The beautiful wildlife. Then kids arrived in 2017 and 2019 so we mainly stayed travelling in Europe by van until they will be able to carry a little backpack ;) When the virus arrived, we were crossing Sweden. Everything became complicated with borders, shops and people so we decided to enjoy the strange time to build our home. We bought an over 300 years old stone house on a big peace of land which were abandoned and this new adventure started. Bretagne is a nice place full of culture, traditions, nice villages, forest and legends and history, and surrounded by the sea. After being helpers ourselves, we now want to be hosts too. We loved it so we expect people love it here too. Our kids are homeschooling with mainly their mother and we would be happy to have Eng...

We ‘re still in need volunteers for lambing season from now on to mid of June (and even later). Come help us lamb all of our sheep and experience the wonders of life! Assist over 500 sheep in giving birth and bottle feed tiny little lambs and all the other disgusting and cute things that go along with it. Lambing season is hard work and we work in shifts of 9 hours, but with 5-10 volunteers living in the house you’ll have time for fun in the sun, 2 days off each week with a household shift (cooking and cleaning). Lambing truly is a once in a lifetime experience and a great opportunity to learn about farming, sheep, and Iceland in general. The shifts are long, the days are longer, but a rewarding and satisfying experience is waiting for you! Message us on WhatsApp or on HelpX. My WhatsApp number is above. Send me (Caroline, who runs the HelpX) a message! You can also message the farmer directly via the Facebook link below, named after Beggi the farmer's cat! Profile picture is of a ca...

We are startĂng a small guest house complex directly on the beach in Engabao, a fishing and surfing town located 15 km from Playas and 1 hour from Guayaquil. The guesthouse consists of furnished 1 and 2 bedroom suites with completely equipped kitchens and hot water. There is a pool and gazebo overlooking the ocean. At present help is mainly needed with construction, painting, landscaping and out door cleaning, while from Dec. to May there may be housekeeping, attending guests, and caring for plants. Helpers work for 4 hours a day with 2 days off midweek and live in one of the suites. They are responsible for preparing their own meals. There's plenty of time for lounging around the pool, enjoying the beach or surfing. We need people who can work without supervision and enjoy nature. We are on a beautiful out of the way beach which generally has tourists only on holidays.

Hi Folks, We have a variety of hands-on jobs in late April or early May, some wood work, some painting, and odd jobs. So if you are practical and good with your hands and tools please get in touch. Our home is big with five bedrooms, four bathrooms and has a tennis court, swimming pool, sauna, a small cinema, Babyfoot table and a giant pool / snooker table and a lovely river and a great swing bridge too. We also have chickens and our cat Cous Cous. Your bedroom is private, big and has a queen size bed, desk, chairs, WiFi and Netlix. You also have your own private toilet and shower. We provide and cook all your meals (which often include meat....). In exchange if you can put in a mornings hard work we would be very grateful. We normally work 4 to 4.5 hrs a day, finishing at lunchtime. Get in touch and see if we can work out some dates to suit you. Regards, Justin and Julia.

We are a family owned/operated Winery and Restaurant based on the beautiful Coromandel coast at Cooks Beach. It`s a seasonal operation based around the extremely busy summer period and obviously the various annual vineyard jobs & restaurant help. We ask for 4-5 hours work/day in return for meals and accomodation. Tasks needing help with change throughout the year and include vineyard, gardening and restaurant labour. We currently have need for helpers to work in our Vineyard. Now also a sustainable operator due to newly installed solar panels!

**Available 27th April for one week *must be a couple / 2 friends**** A week of garden work if anyone is keen and doesn’t mind being outdoors in all weather 🙂 we have a very tangled and overgrown old garden that needs to be cut back, and the roses dragged out into a pile, which is quite a big job. Gloves provided. We are a family that works in sustainability and robotics, with 3 kids at home (who love meeting helpxers). Our 7-hectare property is on a country road, about 10 minutes' drive from Omokoroa. We have a small dog, chickens, cows and pet guinea pigs. You are welcome to use our swimming pool, hot tub, BBQ, etc, we often have dinner together next to our outdoor fire on warmer nights. Work is 4 hours per day, breakfast/lunch/dinner provided, and we eat meals together in the evening....happy to cater to vegetarian or meat. We appreciate you helping out with dishes afterwards.

Hi, we need one or two helpers now as we are refurbishing our plastic greenhouse tunnel from 25 April to 4 May . WIFI is available at main house. NORTHCLIFFE is a small community in the SOUTH WEST located in beautiful FOREST and close to the OCEAN. Work is varied but is mostly helping on the house (we are still building ), varied tasks on the grounds and in the garden or orchard. We prefer helpers who have some GARDENING and/or BUILDING SKILLS and hope we can teach you a few things while you are here. P...
