This is a home stay situated on a sugarcane farm 18km north of Proserpine. Not far from Airle Beach and Whitsundays. There are a variety of chores, I work in the sugar mill but also have a lot of work around my house and sheds. We’re renting a granny flat, and Carole is managing that. There’s some cleaning of the flat times. Carole is Feng Shui master and a spiritual person. We have a young dog and chooks to take care of. It is very quiet where we live, so if you are looking for some peace and quiet to get away. I would also be happy to show you around the area, take you fishing, I have a boat and would love to show you around the Whitsundays weather permitting, maybe catch some crabs explain some of the wildlife in the area. There are lots of beautiful places to see here. We have hosted exchange students in the past and it has been very fulfilling, sharing different cultures. More photos on instagram at aqhinschen We enjoy the company and conversation and also sharing the cooking,...

We are looking for two types of helpers: firstly a good wood worker / carpenter / DIY handyman/woman capable of working effectively on your own or as a pair. Most of the work is outside but based out of a well-equipped, airconditioned, woodworking workshop. Secondly we are looking for someone to help with housekeeping and cooking and gardening. Plenty of opportunities on your day off, if you have interests in fishing, sailing, snorkeling, weather permitting of course. We are establishing a modest permaculture garden with heritage breed chickens and a range or of tropical fruit, vegetables and herbs. We have recently started making and using biochar, rearing soldier-fly larvae for chickens, starting oyster mushroom growing and are starting to grow various high-nutritional-value microgreens. We live next to a very quet sandy, tropical beach (tide line 135 metres from the door) in the small rural community of Wonga Beach, 90 minutes north of Cairns. We are keen on wildlife phot...

Where I live is Australia's best kept secret. I'm close to deserted beaches, the Snowy River, lakes and mountains. I live here with my dog, 3 horses and the abundant wildlife that calls this place home. Volunteers can use their time here towards their 88 days 2nd or 3rd year visa sign off. I prefer to host people who are able to stay for a minimum of a month. Longer stays are even better. I need help with renovating a Tiny House on Wheels which will be Helper's accommodation when completed.so would love to hear from people who have experience in carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical skills. I also need help with some fencing and garden maintenance. Accommodation is in a comfortable caravan. Every evening 50 or so kangaroos graze in my neighbour's paddock and that will be your view. It really is idyllic. This is a tranquil place. A Spiritual place. A place to come and rest and recharge your batteries. Lots of native birds call my place home. I have 3 horses and wou...

If you love wildlife, the outdoors, great views and good food, send us an email (only emails from this site will be responded to). This is very much a cultural exchange (for us and for you) as you will be in our family home sharing our lifestyle. NO SMOKERS OR VEGETARIANS PLEASE. We prefer our helpers to stay 2 weeks or more. Work outside is a major part of what we do so expect to be outside on a rural property as part of the experience. The property is located 60km South of Brisbane and 20km West of the Gold Coast on the upper North slope of Mt Tamborine, 320m above sea level. We are surrounded by National Parks and abundant wildlife. The property is 6Ha with a sub-tropical climate and has great country views to the North up to 140km on a clear day. We also have a tennis court (I will always give preference to tennis players who love to cook and eat great food), an outdoor cob pizza oven, chooks/ducks, two Rhodesian ridgeback dogs a vegetable garden, about 300 fruit trees and a lar...

We live on a small acreage about 20 minutes outside of Bundaberg. It is in a quiet, country area with lots of animals - dogs, cats, geese, guinea fowl and ducks. Wild kangaroos regularly feed in the paddock near our house. Helpers would have their own bedroom, bathroom, toilet and lounge room. We have access to wireless internet and are able to pick up helpers from Bundaberg if they do not have their own transport. We would like some assistance with feeding/caring for the animals, housework, cooking and gardening. I have recently had major surgery and am temporarily unable to do many household tasks. We would really appreciate some help during this time. We enjoy meeting new people and learning about their cultures. We have hosted a lot of helpers in the past and thought it was time to start again as we met so many great people.

After 16 years, and hosting almost 100 HelpXers, at our property in Larnook, in the Northern Rivers region, Steve and I have moved to a new place in Tenterfield, at the northern end of the New England Tableland. All of our reviews up until September 2024, are related to our previous place. We are now ready to accept HelpXers at our new place. Steve and I are a gay couple and we offer a high quality experience (as you can see from our reviews) and so we expect our Helpers to pitch in and help. The more you put into your time here at Tenterfield, the more you will get out of it. We have lots of small work jobs at present including lots of weeding and gardening, mowing, establishing herb and vege gardens, pruning and cutting back and some other work. Our property is situated a few kilometers west of the town of Tenterfield, in a quiet, rural area. We usually expect around 4 hours per day of work in exchange for all meals, your own room, access to internet (for checking emails, looki...

This is a Standardbred Horse stud located at the foot of the Tamborine Mountain. Located 45 minutes from Brisbane in the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland. We welcome working holiday visa holders with horse experience and most importantly a passion for horses!! Your role on the farm would be helping with the daily care of our standardbred racehorses, yearlings, broodmares and stallions. Feeding, grooming, mucking out etc. Ideal helpers will be positive and willing. We enjoy meeting enthusiastic people that really want to get involved on the farm and learn how we do things. Day to day life on the farm is easy going, and we encourage our travellers to enjoy their down time exploring all the area has to offer, such as walks in the national park and rainforest or swimming in the creeks and waterfalls. Hi, my name is Mary. I live on the border of NSW and Victoria, a town called Albury. There is a train service to Albury from Sydney about 9 hours and Melbourne about 5 hours train trip. I am happy to pick someone from the Albury railway station. Albury is a pretty town on the Hume Highway., it is inland on the Murray River and there are a lot of local attractions, vineyards, historical small towns, snow fields and many more, only a few hours drive. I am located in town, with the railway station and the airport not too far, about 15minutes drive. I am fully vaccinated and require the same of a helper.I only take Non-smokers( meaning you do not smoke at all, outside as well.) Currently I am asking for 2.5hrs a day for board only. You can cook for yourselves, buy supplies locally and after cooking clean your area. I would like help with the garden and other general duties around the house.,such as cleaning. If you are travelling this way, either going to Melbourne or locally and can hel...

We live on an urban block in a suburb of Maryborough. There are 3 public parks around me and my property is close to the Mary River. There are lots of kangaroos to observe. We are only 30 min by car from the ocean in Hervey Bay. I love to cook and entertain.

Love to host someone during april that's keen to help out around the property and also spend some boating trips, catching barramundi, trolling the islands and snorkeling. Volunteers can use their time here towards their 88 days 2nd or 3rd year visa sign off and we have helped many backpackers secure a second/third year visa as we are registered primary producers in the correct postcode for "disaster relief",. Please make sure you let us know you are looking to get your visa days signed off so we can provide appropriate work from the cyclone recovery list...also let us know where you currently are residing , when you would like to arrive and for how long you would like to stay.. Hi guys we are a small online plant nursery located deep in the jungle near Mission beach and an hour and a half south of Cairns, gateway to the Great Barrier Reef. We generally like to host 1 or 2 people at a time and ,although not neccessary, if you have a car you will be also be able to explore further ...

We are offering travelers a warm, comfortable two-story Celery Top Pine Pole home we built ourself. You will enjoy magical views of the ocean and mountain and will wake to the sounds of the wild birds that flock to our food and water bowls. We are regularily visited by possums, wallaby's and various other wildlife. If you're lucky you may even see a Tasmanian Devil. We aspire to a sustainable way of living and adore our large established organic garden, which we are needing help with maintaining. We ask helpers to provide a minimum of 4.5 hrs of work each day for 5 days with two full days off. If you would like a day off after working a few days we ask you to make up the hours on other days. Some helpers also purchase their own food and only work 2.5 hours a day if this suits you better. We are also very flexible and happy to listen to your requests. Previous gardening experience is essential as well as cooking/helping with evening meals, household duties, and other jobs as require...

There will be plenty of time for playing pool, horse riding, swimming in our indoor pool, meeting our lovely big family and getting involved in the backyard cricket matches! We...

Hello travellers, and a warm welcome to beautiful Olinda - I am Vita and delighted to host you. **Currently seeking Helper/s who can work in the garden or use a chainsaw to cut fire wood. Or a carpenter who can help repair weather damaged external timber windows. Or someone with mechanical experience to service chainsaw and lawn mowers. Or a Helper with sewing skills and can use a sewing machine. Or a helper who can restore and refinish furniture. I appreciate self-starters and Helpers with initiative, who do not always need to be told what to do and are capable of putting in a full days work. Weeding and garden work is always a go-to if you are waiting instructions. Helpers will sometimes be left to work by themselves as I don’t always have time to supervise them. Therefore, Helpers who can help with l...

After my husband died in December 2022 I am living with my daughter Bess (23) maintaining the vegetable garden and the house by myself. She lives in one of the buildings on the property. We live on an urban block in a suburb of Maryborough. There are 3 public parks around me and my property is close to the Mary River. There are lots of kangaroos to observe. We are only 30 min by car from the ocean in Hervey Bay. I love to cook and entertain. I offer for single or couple a bedroom with bathroom, The vegetable garden needs topping up soil and mulch, some trimming of hedges, some maintenance on the house like painting some areas outside (wooden Queenslander), maintaining the gutters and weeding. All jobs are able to be done in 4 hours or less.

Sometimes our adult children 28-36 are home and 6 grandchildren under 5. We currently have 1 dog that does not come inside and have a huge yard (in case yo...

We have hosted since 2013. We are building our dream house and need help with some parts on and off all year. We are happy to take helpers all year round. We are a busy family of 5 living in a small house 45 minutes from Yass, 1.5 hours from Canberra and 4.5 hours from Sydney. We are looking for a dynamic, self motivated couple or 2 friends to come and help our family. Because we are so busy we really are only looking for people who have lots of initiative and who can work independently. Your own car or driving licence is NOT essential, but will make your time with us easier, as we are quite isolated. If you don't have a vehicle we can pick you up from Yass train station or bus stop. Local attractions include caving, 4WD, swimming, fishing, kayaking and bushwalking in Wee Jasper, Yass (45 minutes), Canberra (1.5 hours and the capital city of Australia) and Goulburn (1.75 hours) We would like you to become part of our family whilst you are here. That would involve being kind and pat...
